The alarm filled the room, waking Videl. Hitting the button, Videl just sat up and yawned. She had been waking up earlier than usual the last week to get extra practice with her new ki abilities, particularly flying.

Swinging her legs over the edge, Videl stretched out a little bit, arms up overhead as she reached for the ceiling as her legs and toes reached forward. She could feel the stiffness leaving and softly sighed. It felt great stretching right when she woke up.

"Okay, here we go."

Floating a few inches above her bed, Videl floated over to her dresser slowly. Getting some cloths to train in, Videl continued to float as she took her pajamas off. Getting her bottoms, she put one leg through and slowly started toppling over. Bracing herself either way, Videl still managed to catch herself in the air before she hit the floor. Righting herself back up straight, Videl finished up getting dressed.

Headed down to the kitchen, Videl needed a quick snack to get her training started. Reaching into the fridge, Videl grabbed some bananas and a few slices of bread. Placing the bread into the toaster, Videl started on the two bananas as she waited for the toast. Videl made sure to not be to noticeable, but hovered just barely above the ground while keeping her toes on the ground so others would just think she was standing on her toes. She was glad most of the house staff left her alone in the very beginning of the morning before training.

Videl was finishing her toast right as she arrived at her own training room. Opening the door, Videl immediately noticed the person in the room.

"Oh, did you finish it already?" Videl asked excitedly.

"All done Mrs. Satan. I finished just half hour ago And am just gathering my things to head on out." he responded, tipping his hat a bit.

"Though I have to say, it's really a weird request. Given this is your personal training room. You taking up archery or shooting?" he asked.

"Something like that. Its something new i am working on. Havn't shown it off yet, but this will really help with it. Thank you for getting it done so fast!"

"Hey, not a problem. Your dad pays me very well to keep his training facilities up and in tip top shape. And your own private training rooms as well. Least i can do is not dilly dally. And if you'll excuse me Mrs. Satan, my daughters should be waking up soon. Gotta get then to school on time." He said as he grabbed his stuff and headed out.

"Oh, the control pannel is over there on the wall." poking his head back around the door as he remembered it.

Videl walked over to the control pannel and started playing around with it. She didn't plan on working on this training today, but she at least want to familiarize herself with it.

Setting it to single random for four seconds, Videl watched as the targets appeared randomly on the wall in front of her. She played around with a few more options just to see what there was. Satisfied with it, she shut it off and looked over at her heavy bag.

Walking over to it, she smiled a bit. She used the handle to raise it more off the ground, now floating in the middle of the room, and the ceiling being almost twenty feet high. Locking it there, Videl softly took a few deep breaths before floating up to it.

Getting into her fighting stance, Videl started going through her usual motions, but a lot slower than usual. She had learned how to maneuver herself around in the air a little. She could fly with some decent acrobatics, or fly decently fast. And if practicing basic forms, she could somewhat float around the air. It was incredibly jarring at first, but she realized she was picking it up very fast!

Adding her ki blast practice on her own and using her flying at every possible point in her day even if just incredibly subtle, she was progressing. She couldn't move very fast, but she could hit pretty hard. And her ki only amplified that like Gohana had explained. She couldn't generate a ki field around her yet, but she couldn't power up enough to make a difference in her strength. It was only a matter of practicing them daily.

A sudden knock at the door stopped Videl. Though proficient enough to not fall out of the air, she did stumle a bit. Floating over to the door and landing she opened it and found her father.

"Oh, morning Dad. What are you doing up so early?" Videl asked.

"Well i got a new training regime starting today and wanted to get it going first thing. I see you are doing the same, huh?"

"Yeah, pretty much. Learning a few new things so just trying to practice them." Videl sheepishly smiled, hiding the truth but not at the same time.

"Haha, that's my girl. Can I ask what it is you're learning?" Hercule asked proudly, causing Videl to stiffen a little.

"Umm, not right now. Sorry I dont want it to be known just yet." Videl half lied.

"Ah I see. I imagine its to help you out with the police?" Hercules tone shifted a bit as well, it was obvious to Videl what he really meant.

"Yeah, it's supposedly going to help me be even safer."

Hercule looked down at his only daughter, it really did worry him deeply the danger she was in. But he could tell that deep down all she wanted to do was help, and this was how she could.

"Okay, just please sweet pea" he grabbed her hands softly "I wont stop you, but just promise me you'll be safe! Well, safer, with whatever it is you are learning!"

Videl could hear the worry in his voice. She knew how he felt about her helping the police out but that he still supported her.

"Don't worry daddy, I'll do my best to stay safe."

"Ah shucks sweet pea, I know you will be okay, I just worry about you is all. But what can I say, after your old man saved the world from Cell, i dont blame you for wanting to help save others too!"

Videl's heart sank at that. She knew the truth, she knew her father was lying to the world and now to her face now, suddenly hearing it she couldn't help but think of Gohana, and it pissed her off even more now.

"Yeah...right." Videl held back.

She wanted to confront him about it, and make him explain why he did what he did. Taking the credit from a ten year old girl! Once she really knew the truth, a small part of her resented her father. But she knew Gohana didn't want the fame, or attention anyway, and kept her mouth shut. For now. Maybe one day she would actually ask Gohana about it.

"Well I gotta head on out now. Good luck with your new training stuff." Hercule waved at her as he started heafing out.

"Dad, wait! Before you go. Ive...been watching more footage from the Cell games the few Budokais before you won. Those k...are you sure they are just tricks?" Videl asked trying to see if he budges at all.

"Why of course they are! Humans can't go zipping through the sky and shoot stuff from their hands! They wanted to play the world a fool, well I won't let them. Anyway sweety, I really do need to get going. I'm already running late but just really want to see you. Love you Videl!" He shouted as he ran down the hallway.

Videl just stood there, shaking a little bit. She calmly closed the door, or at least as calmly as she cou

"Why...why do you have to lie about it..." Videl was visibly shaking now. A ten year old girl killed Cell, and he decided to tell the world he did, and call them fakes? And now her entire life is basically on easy street because of that lie. And the girl who did kill Cell knows and just let it happens. Gohana killed Cell, she should get the credit for it, not her father. And to call ki a trick just because he didn't understand it, despite there being videos of them! There had been numerous weird world events over the last fourteen years and they all had that in common.

As Vidles mind kept going, her anger kelt rising. Floating a little, Videl let all her anger out as her ki flooded her body. Lunging herself at the punching bag hard, Videl kicked the bag so hard the chain holding it up snapped as it slammed into the wall, and landing incredibly hard onto the ground ten feet below.

She will confront him about it one day and ask him.

Videl was still fuming as she was flying her airjet to school. It always did bother her when she suspected her dad was lying about Cell. And when she did find out the truth it did piss her off even more. But now, she almost couldn't stand it! What changed?

Videl did her best to try to keep it out of her mind. She was having only a mild amount of success however. She desperately needed a distraction right now, and she was about to get it as her wrist communicator went off.

"Cheif?" Turning her communicator on.

"Videl, we need your assistance. More accurately, they are asking for you specifically."

"Roger that. I'm in my jet, just send the signal and I'll be right there." Videl told him as she turned off her communicator and brought up her locator screen.

The location sprung onto the screen, only a few blocks from where she happened to be. Headed just three blocks away, Videl could see where she was going. It certianly wasn't as big as some of the more recent outings, but that just meant less publicity, less potential injury from bystanders. Perfect!

Videl debated just hoping out right here. She could easily fly down even distracted, but she decided to not reveal what she was learning until she absolutely needed to.

Landing her ship, Videl quickly got out and reduced it to its capsule. She saw the chief waving her over. The other officers got out of her way if they were blocking her so she could quickly get through.

"You got here pretty fast!" He said once he noticed Videl already.

"I happened to be just three blocks away." She said looking where everyone else was, noticing a large gang.

"Wait, what are they doing here? This building is empty right now, isn't it?" Videl asked confused.

"It is, but they hijacked a tour bus. Weirdly enough, all they demanded was you. Nothing else." He said sternly.

Videl thought for a moment. She had fought many thugs and would be criminals before, but she had a feeling she recognized a few of them.

"Did they say why?"

"No, and before I forget I need to speak to you after this. It's really important. But take care of this first."

Videl was curious what he had to talk to her about after, but right now this is what she needed to focus on. And she found it was pushing away the anger at her father.

As she got closer to them, she noticed one of them talking towards the inside of the building. She couldn't see inside, but just kept walking towards them. Once she was about halfway to them she just stopped with her hands on her hip.

"Alright, here I am. Now what do you want?"

Out of the building, a very large man came out. It took a few moments for Videl to recognize him, but he was one of the thugs she has taken out numerous times. He always escaps, and tries to fight her, again. That was always him MO. Or at least his bosses. She never could get the main head of this particular gang to step forward, but this was the main front man.

"Ah, damn it all, again? Don't you ever learn?" Videl was now annoyed again. Though at least this time for a different reason.

"Hey what can I saw, I'm stubborn. That and I know the boss will keep getting me out."

"So now what? I'm here, now let the hostages go!" Videl demanded.

"Ah, but i dont think you are in any position to be demanding anything of anyone. Boys!"

Videl heard gunshots behind her, as she quickly turned around and saw that a few officers had been hit. They were on the ground clutching their leg or their arm. At least their vitals were not hit. Videl didnt see the few men holding AR's that were hiding near the entrance until now, and clearly neither had the police.

"This time it will be pretty different. Word is that soon you'll be outranked." He cracked his knuckles.

What was he talking about?

"Your idle threats dont scare me! I've heard that one numerous times before, and no one ever even comes close."Videl glared.

"Maybe not. But still, right now you're the one we are after. By the way pigs, this is personal between us and her. If anyone tries to interfere, not only do we start shooting, but we blow the truck!" Holding up the detonator. "Lets see if you can get this one! Lets go boys!" He shouted.

Videl quickly hit the button on her watch to remove her training weights and got into her stance as she had numerous people charging at her from different directions. Though she was surprised how calm she felt. Was it the training weights? Her ki training? Either way it didnt matter right now. She had to take them out and get the hostages they must be hiding in the building.

Surging her ki through her body, she lunged forward and slammed her fist hard into one of them. This threw them all off as Videl followed up with a spinning kick to his arm, sending him flying against the buildings wall, surprising even Videl. She didn't expect that kick to he so hard but it wasn't important right now.

Videl saw one of them try to swing a bat at her, but she was able to dodge it easily. A few of them did have some melee weapons, but other than the two with ARs, none of them appeared to have any weapons. That would make things a bit easier for her.

Spinning under another swing from a crowbar, Videl quickly bolted towards the big one holding the detonator. He was staying back and not figting, but that didn't matter! She still had several people in her way. Before any of them could react, Videl had managed to grab two by their shirt and using her strength and momentum, flip them hard onto the ground, using the momentum to speed betweem the last two.

Videl didn't realize, but the police were watching totally stunned. They were all used to watching her fight but none of them had ever seen her this fast or agile.

VIidel entered a full on uninterrupted sprint to close the last twenty or so meters from him. He was also surprised at her speed but it didn't bother him as much. He was almost twice as tall as she was, and he could easily just keep the detonater out of her reach. And with his bulk he was sure he could withstand some blows from her, at least this time.

Videl made a leap for his hand, but he was too fast and pulled it out of her direction. Landing and turning back, Videl saw the rest had nearly caught up with her. She had to take them out so she could focus on getting that trigger. But why wasn't he attacking himself? She absolutely recognized him, and from what she remembered he was a very accomplished fighter! He was always one of the hardest to take down, though nothing she couldn't handle. And he was always usually pretty eager to attack her as well. But he was juat standing there! It didn't sit well with Videl. Something was up.

A fist was coming straight towards Videl, but she just grabed his wrist and continued his momentum as she flipped him over her back onto the ground, and slammed her fist hard into his stomach as she jumped back to avoid the other one coming at her. Now for the hard part.

The rest of them surrounded her, all with either a bat, or a crow bar of some kind. They really meant to injur her, assuming they could even keep up with her.

Videl knew she couldn't rely on sensing their ki, she was still too inexperienced. She had to sit and focus. That and their ki's were so weak as well. She could somewhat feel the larger guy, which made sense to her. Maybe he was just naturally stronger? But she knew size was deceptive, especially thanks to Gohanas small frame.

Quickly bolting in his direction ,Videl caught the bar being swung at her. She didnt even mean to do so, but she was surprised it didn't hurt. It was still stupid though. Twisting it out of his hand with all her strength, he screamed in pain as his wrists both sprained from the sudden force. Videl was easily able to take him out with an elbow to his side as she tried again to sprint to get the trigger. She had to get it!

"Fiesty today, good! It makes it all the more fun!" He threw a roundhoue uppercut right as Videl jumped for the trigger.

His fist landed directly into her stomach, and sent Videl flying off. Videl was so caught off guard by not only how sudden it was, but by how strong his punch was. Videl rolled along the ground as she landed, but she was able to brace for the landing and quickly get up. She coughed a few times and had to breath to get her breath back after having it knocked out of her.

'Fuck, his punches didn't feel anything like that before!' She took a few deep breaths and felt a bit better. No real damage, and it wouldnt effect her fighting.

Videl had a weird feeling in the pit of her stomach though, the only reason that didn't cause a lot more damage to her was because of the training shebjust started with Gohana. But how did he improve so fast as well? and she couldn't hemp but feel something was very different with him but she just couldn't figure it out.

"Hey, did you see that? The big guy sent her flying! Maybe we really can do this!" One of then shouted.

With a renewed sense of hope, they all rushed towards her yet again. Videl didnt recognize any of these four so she had no idea if they were even remotely in the same ballpark as the bigger one. But she didn't want to find out, nor could she afford to.

Quickly dashing to the left of them, her hope was renwed when they now were coming at her almost single filed. Grabbing the guy at the front, she front kicked him sending him flying back, knocking down the two behind him. Grabbing some of the dirt as she landed, she threw it at the face of the one coming at her to give her an opening. Sprinting again, Videl knew she had to do something different.

"Oh come on, if the first two times didn't work, what makes you think this time will be any diferent?" He smirked, full of confidence.

On the last few steps before leaping forward Videl pushed her ki to help propel herself faster, hoping the sudden burt of speed would be enough! She reached out towards the detonator, hoping she could get it as she was mere inches from it this time.

'I got it!'

A giant hand quickly grabbed her by the forearm. Shock was now in Videls face, but it was also in his.

'No, how can he move that fast?'

'Shit, no not her! That's impossible.'

Before Videl could react, she was flung around him as he spun around, getting as much momentum as he could. Videls mind finally caught up with what was going on but she couldn't think of what to do fast enough before he let her go flying through the air, directly towards the others.

"Kill her! Now!" He screamed at them with some panic in his voice.

Videl saw herself falling towards them, all ready to swing at her. There was no way she could avoid four of them swinging at her as she fell. Maybe one, but two was already pushing it. Let alone four! And if she were to be hit by even one of them she would be severely injured, at best!

"No where to go now bitch, we finally got you!" One of them yelled at her taking a quick batters stance, as all four of them anticipated the fall as they all swung at her.

Silence quickly filled the area, followed by gasps of shock as almost everyone looked at the empty space Videl should be at, but was instead floating above it. The tip of Videls right pointer ringer was glowing as she held out her finger, took aim, and shoot a ki blast that hit the detonator dead on, causing it to shatter. She quickly aimed and let off another on that hit him squarely in the chest hard, as it sent him hard into the wall as he passed out.

"No...not Videl." The police chief watched in slight horror.

Before anyone else could even react, Videl quickly landed and took out the four with ease. It helped she was not only stronger, faster and more skilled, but they were all still in shock and could barely move or evem register what was happening.

With the detonator now out of play, the Chief quickly took advantage of this. Taking out his pistol he aimed it towards the two still holding the rifles.

"Freeze!"

The two of them snapped out of their shock and turned around, seeing most of the police coming out of their own shock and aiming their own pistols at them. They quickly dropped their weapons and held their hands up as now every officer had their pistol drawn, as many ran past them.

Videl saw several run into the building, shouting they found the bus and needed the demolition team to move in. Letting out a sigh of relief, Videl looked around. Several officers were now attempting the large one, and the rest of the thugs were being handcuffed. It helped many were still on the ground either in pain and not resisting, or just knocked out cold.

Looking down at her hand, Videl had a weird mix of feelings. She had stopped another incident from happening, and she felt glad she could stop them. But she already had to reveal she could not only fly, but use ki blasts. Looking over again towards the building, she saw the people that were taken hostage quickly being escorted out by police. Everything did turn out fine, bit she still couldn't shake the feeling something seemed wrong and she didnt really hear thise around her very much

A hand now resting on her shoulder brought her out of her own mind. Looking up she saw Gohana, or Saiyako.

"Hey, are you okay? I felt your ki, but I was running late." She asked and looked around.

Videl wasn't sure why but seeing Gohana now was oddly comforting to her. Her adrenaline was still rushing through her a bit and she hadn't calmed down yet.

"I was a bit worried when your ki siddenly spiked, so I tried getting here as fast as I could. But once I got here everything seemeed fine."

"Oh, yeah I'm alright. I just...I know I would be using these abilities soon, but now actually having used it..."

Gohana could hazard a guess what was going through Videls mind a bit. She recalled when Piccolo taught her everything. And when training for it, it was juat fine after a while. But the moment she actually had to use that knowledge and skills, it wasnt the same.

"Hey, you did great though! Way better than I did!" Gohana tried to reassure her.

Videl smiled a little and nodded, now finally feeling a bit better. She could feel her body calming down.

"Thanks."

"I hate to break up this little friendly back and forth, but Videl we still need to talk a bit." The Chief butted in.

"Oh, yeah, right. I guess I'll see you a little bit later?" Videl asked, Gohana giving a nod.

"Actually Saiyako, I think you come too. I think this technically involves you as well and i did need to speak with you about something. Can I see you both at the station in about half an hour?"

Videl and Gohana just looked at each other a bit confused but nodded. Though neither really had any idea why he needed to speak with them both at the station and not here.

"Yeah, I'll be there." Gohana nodded.

Gohana was going nuts just sitting in the police station. She wasn't used to this in the first place, but more importantly, she was worried about her mom finding out she was late for school. Assuming she even got to school. She serioualy did not think it through saying she would be here.

"Hey, calm down. It's not like you're the one in trouble." Videl finally spoke up.

"Tell that to me after my mom finds out." Gohana pouted im frustration. Even with her face mask still up covering her mouth and nose, Videl could easily tell how Gohana was feeling.

"Oh, I didn't think about that. But I'm sure she'll understand, right? I mean she does know about this," Videl mentioned to Gohana's outfit, "doesn't she?"

"Yeah, she knows about Saiyako. It's more so that I skipped school."

"Uhhh, don't you know like literally every answer to any question any teacher at school could possibly ask?" Videl looked very confused at Gohana. She knew Chichi was strict about Goahana's schooling, but not that strict.

"Yeah, but it's more the principle with her. It doesn't matter that i already have a have a job and can probably complete any college degree in maybe a a year or two. She wants me to just go through the process. Me coming to Orange Star High was just a formality in a way." Gohana explained.

"Wait, so there a chance we may not have ever meet?"

Gohana nervously rubbed the back of her head. "Um, honestly wasnt the first choice. If i hadn't slept through my interview at the school my mom wanted me to go to, id be going to a private school."

Videl was in slight shock. Due to her sleeping through a school interview Gohana came to Orange Star High? What if she did go to the interview? Would they have ever even meet? Would they even have gotten as close as they are had they meet? Videl couldn't explain it but the idea of that did not sit well with her.

"Well, I'm really glad you missed that interview then!" She smiled, causing Gohana to blush a bit. She wasn't sure how to take that.

Gohana and Videl just continued the idle chatter for a while as the police chief was running late. Though Videl was used to it, she found it entertaining watching Gohana get so much attention from the police and what few reporters happened to be there while they waited. It was clear she was not used to it but having to act more like her super hero alter ego.

When the Chief finally came through the door it had been almoat an hour, and it was obvious he was not in the best of moods. He spotted Videl and Saiyako sitting in the office area, though not in his office. Still, he headed their way. Goahana and Videl stood once they noticed that he was coming this way, Gohana putting on her more serious facade.

"Videl, Saiyako...I...I'm sorry i just" glancing moatly at Saiyako.

"Hey its okay, we understand. Besides Saiayko has no where else to be and I get a pass if its police business." Videl tried to calm him.

He looked around and wouldn't stop rubbing his forehead. The stress he was feeling was obvious to them both.

"Maybe we should take this to your office?" Gohana suggested.

They made their way to his office. Videl and Gohana didn't press him for anything, at least not yet. Videl got him some water from his mini fridge as Gohana closed his door.

"Hey, listen you two. Saiyako, mainly you. But after today, just now. Videl." He started rambling on.

"John, take a deep breath. What going on?" Videl spoke up and handed him water.

Walking over to his office window, John closed his blinds. Walking over to his seat, he just rubbed his temples. He didn't know where to start, either the conversation, or what needed to be said.

"My brother and his entire platoon were just killed." He finally spoke.

"What? But they were...weren't they with you earlier? I saw them before we left!" Videl was surprised.

"They were. But just after you both left we had an incoming call of a robbery. It seemed small, only one person, so we didn't think much of it at the time. So the four of them went. But...when they got there..." he stopped and glanced up over to Saiyako and stood up suddenly, surprising both of them.

"Just what the hell are you?" He yelled at her.

"Eh?" Gohana was stunned and so thrown off she had no idea even what or how to respond.

"Look...just the stuff you can do...and now seeing Videl doing it, i didn't want to believe it. I couldn't believe it. Not until right now."

Gohana and Videl now both were equally confused. Though Gohana could tell it wasn't directly her that he was actually mad at, or about. But she still didn't have all the answers.

"Chief, start from the beginning, and maybe I can help you." Gohana tried calming him down.

"You just showed up one day, and you can do all these...tricks. Just like Hercule always says about them. Tricks." He started and there was nothing else but silence.

"But you were helping, and reducing the injury and casualty rate, so i didn't think anything if it or say anything. Even though I should have, even not asking dispite I was ordered to." He walked over to the wall behind him and leaned his forehead against it.

"I had a gut feeling something wasn't right. I should have followed protocol and confronted you then. Now all of a sudden Videl can do these same things you can do?" He continues and looked at Gohana and walked towards her this time.

"In the last few weeks, we've been getting weird reports. People with these same capabilities pulling off low level crimes."

"Wait, why didn't you tell me? Or even call me for back up?" Videl interrupted him.

"How could I? Most of the time we thought they were pranks because they all occured in the roughest areas of the city with prank 911 call's occure constantly. Getting reports of people shooting 'light guns from their hands or eyes'. Until just thirty minutes ago. The largest jewlry store in the city, by one guy. Bullets didn't effect him, and he shot these...these...light tricks, lasers, beams, whatever you want to call them. He shoot them right out of his hands and straight through their hearts."

John continued to walk closer to Gohana, now right in her face. Though he had to look slightly up at her.

"What you do, what you're teaching Videl. Now I'm grateful for you helping us, I truely am! But all of this started shortly after you came. Shortly after that massive prision breakout not too long ago. But no more." He was stumbling his words, and it was obvious he was holding back.

"I need to know what the hell we are now dealing with, what you are, and I need to know that i can trust you! Because right now, because of the similarities between these crimes, and your, trick things, this weird technology you have and shared with Videl...I now have the military on my throats for answers. My brother, was just killed with whatever this stuff is. And I have no idea what to tell anyone about this dispite I need to supply an official answer in the next few hours." He stepped back from Gohana a little bit.

Gohana could tell a lot had been going on that she didn't know. She never did think this would become an issue. And she certianly never though others would have the ability to manipulate ki, at least random people. He was right though, something was going on and it did involve ki from what it sounded like. Still, she had no idea what to even say, or how much.

"To he honest...Saiyako, John is the one police officer I would persobally trust with what you've taught me about ki." Videl finally spoke up.

"Ki? Is that what the technology is called?" He turned to Videl worried.

"It's not technology, so you don't have to worry about that part." She answered him, knowing he was instantly worried about unregulated weaponry being passed out.

"I get that you need to trust me. I'll help with these weird cases however i can. If you can just show me whatever footage you have I can..."

"Saiyako, officially, the three of us are not even having this conversation. But right now I dont have any way of knowing who you really are or even if I can truly trust you. As i said earlier, you keep us safer, and helping with things we cant handle. Thats the only reason the police havn't charged you with anything. And Videl trusting you is the only reason I'm even sharing any of this with you. But you are unchecked, and whatever this ki stuff is, you're officially taking the law into your own hand. You may be on our side, but unless you give me a reason, I have to warn you that that will change dispite my protests that you are on our side and the military wont leave you alone."

Gohana hadn't said anything but just let him talk. She had to admit he did have a point. She officially wasn't a part of the police force. Or publically accountable like the police was. Technically even Videl was unofficially a part of the force, and she was also held accountable. But she herself wasn't held accountable to anyone else. Her family and friend's knew her intentions, but she did understand her abilities could cause panic, especially if random people are using ki toncommit crimes.

"Videl?" Gohana asked in a questioning tone.

"I...if it doesnt leave this room, then I trust him with it." Videl answered, causing Gohana to sigh.

"As long as what I say never leaves this room John." Gohana repeated, John nodding back.

"Nothing leaves this room." he repeated.

He nearly jumped when he saw her hair suddenly change from very wild spiky blond to less wild spikey black right before his eyes, and her eyes changed as well. Gohana sighed, and pulled her face mask down.

"If you really want to know my name, you can look up my father, Son Goku. My family and I, we can all do this as well as we keep the Earth safe. I use my disguise so my family isnt bothered by reporters. And i ask that you keep it that way as none of us want the attention, or credit."

John didn't stop looking completely stunned at this. A part of him didn't even expect her to actually show him who she was. But something about this also seemed a bit familiar as well. Though he couldn't place it, but at the same time at the moment it didn't matter too much.

"Okay, Son Goku. I will. Okay, well I guess." he kept stuttering as he then wrote down just that.

Pulling her face mask up and returning to ssj2 so she didn't forget when leaving, Gohana and Videl just waiting for him to say something. It was a little bit of time until someone spoke.

"Well I guess I can trust you. Fine, I'll bring what little video surveillance footage we have if you can help. But, you called it what again?" He asked.

"Ki." Both Videl and Gohna answered.

"Its an energy everyone has. It just takes a good amount of specific training to use it." Gohana said, forming a small ki ball to demonstrate. "Videl wanted to know how to use it, so I'm training her." Gohana continues as she canceled the ki ball.

"If someone can use it, and is teaching others to use it for nefarious reasons, then I want to help stop them anyway! This shouldn't be used lightly!" Gohana's voice became more serious.

"Okay, then I will go and get what footage we have now. I still don't know what I will be telling the military."

"I'll take care of the military part." Gohana answered for him.

"What, how?"

"Just calm the press down however you can. As for the military just tell them King Furry will explain it to them." Gohana answered. She would still talk to him later about it, but she rather she did it rather than the police or military.

"Okay then, I won't ask. I'll go get the footage we have." he headed towards the door but stopped just before opening it.

"By the way Saiyako, thank you. Everything else that happens now is on the record." Gohana nodding.

Gohana and Videl watched over the footage with John. He was totally lost at it all, and Videl could slightly follow it but not very well. Gohana however seemed very focused on the footage. and something was definitely not right.

"Videl, do you recognize any of these people?" she asked, having looked at the footage from the past few weeks.

Videl couldn't say she recognized anyone. But she stopped plenty of people before, so unless they were a serious threat she didn't remember many of them.

"No. Why does something seem off?"

"No, they for sure are using Ki. But this video footage isnt that great. John, you said bullets didn't have any effect on the guy from the jewelry store. Do we haven that footage?"

John looked through the files that we was sent on the dossiers.

"Not yet. But it's should be added into the file system automatically once they transfer over the data. Why do you think it will help?"

"Im guessing a jewelry store will have better quality surveillance footage. Either way this isn't something I can't handle, but I need to know for Videls sake."

"Wait, why for my sake?" Videl asked confused.

"Well, clearly they can use ki. Even if you are stronger than even one of them, multiple ki users can easily overpower someone stronger. When my dad and Piccolo saved me when I was first brought into all this, they were both about half of my uncles power. But they stopped him by working together."

Gohana kept watching a few more videos in silence. Videl and John just let her do her thing. Mainly due to her being the expert.

"I do have to agree with Saiyako. Videl the thing i needed to talk to you about. I'm sorry, earlier I was too emotional to remember. But, at many of these sites, the witnesses remembered them saying to 'have Videl wait her turn'."

"Wait, are you saying they are directly after Videl?" Gohana turned around.

"We don't know, at least not for sure. Keep in mind most of the criminals in this city have been stopped by Videl at least once. At least the foot soldiers. The main bosses we can never touch. Its possible they got training to do this stuff in an effort to stop her."

"Well I'm no scared of them! They can come at me all they want!" Videl spoke up without a hint of fear.

Gohana liked that she didn't seem scared. It was rather reassuring actually. Still, with knowing this, Gohana was worried about her now. These guys were clearly getting trained, with the intention of killing or robbing. And they directly threatened Videl as well. So far she was only training her with Ki, but now she clearly needed more direct training.

A knock on the door brought all their attention. Pausing the video, Gohana repulled her mask over her face, having pulled it down for comfort earlier. John mentioned for them to come in, and two officers walked in.

"Chief, we thought you would want to know...they've been moved and families notified."

John caught his breath as his fists tightened. He knew the dangers, and he had accepted this as a possibility, but it was different experience it.

"Thank you. Do we have a status on the footage from the location."

The two officers looked nervously towards Videl, which worried Gohana and Videl herself. One of them had a large manilla envelop under his arm, pulled it out.

"Videl. There's something you both need to see" Handing the folder to Videl.

Confused why she was the one being handed it, Videl took it from them and opened it. Pulling the contents out Videl froze and nearly dropped the envelope. The two officers just stood there nervously, but Gohana walked over behind her to see what was up and her eyes widened.

In the photo Gohana saw a dead body leaned againat the wall, with Videls name written in blood just above them. Taking the photo from Videl who was still just frozen, Gohana looked over the photo for any type of clue. But all she saw was other people in the photo. She didn't see anything that stood out to her, so she went and handed John the photo.

John took it, but didnt need to look very long. The photo had a few other people in it, and he recognized them all.

"No, so they joined forces."

"What do you mean." Gohana asked confused.

"These three men, I recognize them. They are each from competing rival gangs here in the city. Typically they would rather kill each other but it seems like they are working together."

"Sir, the footage was also added to our data base. It should now be in the file for you to view." One of the officers said.

"Thank you, that will be all." he waved them off and they left quickly.

Videl still sat there, still shaken but calmed down a little bit. She knew some people did try to kill her when she stopped them, but this was very different. They were directly threatening her now. Did they have the same training she was having now? Could she stop them again? She wasnt sure. She recognized them. Individually they had each nearly injured her badly. Alone she was pretty sure she could stop them again, but not with them working together.

"There!" Gohana said, causing Videl to snap out of it.

Rewinding the video, Gohana hit the play button before pausing it and moving forward a frame at a time until she stop at one.

"Right there." she pointed out three weird spots on the frame. "He wasnt alone."

John leaned in and couldn't tell what she was pointing at as he didn't underatand it. It just looked like a weird blurs on the camera to him.

"I'm afraid I don't follow." Looking up at her.

Gohana knew what the issue was, he never saw anyone move fast like that. Demonstrating it in front of him, she vanished from the spot and reappeared barely half a second later.

"That's what it looks like to normal people when someone moves faster than they can register. At least if it is slow enough to even register. Camera's are the same. Im guessing they were able to move fast enough to avoid being clear on a camera. And since this is just after the initial firing of a ki blast, no one even noticed in the chaos."

"So, it wasn't just a single person."

"No, from this footage it looks like four. Hey, wait a second. There were three people in that photo! If the police took it, then why were they in the photo?"

John didn't have an answer. But he knew he could ask. Excusing himself for a moment he got up and left the office, leaving Videl and Gohana alone. Going over to Videl, she could tell she was still a little shaken up. Placeing a hand on jer shoulder gently, Videl reach up and squeesed her hand.

"In all these years of helping the police, Ive always felt so sure of myself." she started. "I never worried so much about my life. Maybe a small amount here and there. But this is different. They are directly after me now. Even earlier today, something seemed a bit different with them."

"Will get to the bottom of this." Gohana tried to reassure her as John walked in, his worry obvious as he just looked at Videl.

"We didn't take that photo. It was found on site. They took it and left it with this note."

"A note, what does it say?" Videl asked worried and he walked over and handed it to her.

Videl took it and eyes widened at the note.

'Watch your back bitch, next time it's your blood'

Gohana read it as well and nearly crushed the part of the chair her hand was resting on. She saw the symbol that was at the bottom as well and her hair started quivering a little bit.

"They are directly coming after you." John reiterated what Gohana and Videl were already thinking. "I need you to give me your communicator. We cant risk your life Videl!"

"What, so you're just going to risk others? The officeres dont stand a chance against them even before this! Now with them having the ability to use ki they are as good...good as." Videl didn't finish the sentence, catching her temper and being mindful of who John just lost.

"I knew the risks of this long ago. Just because its more dangerous, I can't just stop! Especially since i still have the best chance out of everybody on the force to stop them."

John wasnt buying it, but looked at Saiyako, hopeing that she would see to reason. Surely she would convince Videl to step down.

"Saiyako, surely you think its too dangerous!" Causing Gohana to snap oit of her temporary anger.

"You're right. It is too dangerous. They are directly after Videl now and can use ki just like her. Though they are more advanced from the look of things. Your men are in more danger now more than ever. Videl keeps the communicator."

This shocked John, he was sure she would see that Videl needed to be protected, but shes actively supporting Videl to continue? Videl was also confused by Gohana's words as well. Though she was glad to hear the support for her, she didn't expect it like that.

"She wants to help, and she stands a better chance than probably your entire force combined."

"But they could attack literally any minute? You said yourself they are more advanced than she is. Videl needs to be prltected."

"Thats exactly why by this time tomorrow she will be more advanced than even them." Gohana retorted back with an intense focus on her face. "Will talk tomorrow. Though after Videl gets out of school."

John didnt know what to say, but clearly Saiyako had to know what she was doing. And he did trust her now

"Don't worry, I wont let anything happen to her, but I do need to take a picture of that letter. I assume you wont let me take the note with me."

John knew this was againat protocol, and was about to bring that up. But he decided against it. Right now he didnt care about protocol. If it kept Videl and his officers safe, and help Saiyako do that, then fuck standard procedure and protocol. Walking over to the remaining open blinds, he shut them, and put the note on the table.

"If it keeps Videl and my city safe, then do what you have to. Just leave everything as you see it when you leave. I'll look up th, Son Goku so I can properly thank you and understand this." John said as he grabbed his jacket and headed out the door.

Going over to the desk, Gohana brought back her normal clothes so she could get her cellphone. Taking a snapshot of the note, Gohana then opened up his email on his computer. Opening a new message she sent herself a blank email so she could stay in contact with this way. Capsule corp and the police generally had solid firewalls and she could trust this, for now. Returning her outfit, Gohana motioned for Videl.

"Let's go." and she headed out the door.

Videl had just been watching Gohana and she could sense, something. She wasn't sure what but she could tell something wasnt right. Her ki seemed a bit agitated, harsh. She could guess Gohana was just worried about her safety. And cleay Gohana was the one to make sure she was safe. She at least assumed so. And she was still a bit on edge herself from everything that just occured.

Once just outside the station, Gohana stopped and took a few deep breaths to calm herself down. It did help, but she stilll wasn't sure why she was reacting so strongly to all of this.

"Gohana, are you okay?"

"Yeah, i just...Seeing all that and knowing you're in danger...just the thought of something happening to you..."Gohana just looked at the ground for a bit but then back at Videl.

Without warning Gohana picked up Videl in her arms, causing a light shriek from Videl from how sudden it was. Floating up a bit, Gohana held her close and then flew up in the sky and flew off.

Videl just stayed in Gohanas arms for a bit, not even sure where they were going. Though she could tell Gohana was flying way faster than she could. Though from learning to fly she really did learn to appreciate how pretty Earth was. Especially from so high up.

"Hey, where are we going exactly?" Videl finally spoke up.

"Oh, right sorry." Gohana appologized and came to a stop. "Going to let you go now."

Videl hovered in the air next to Gohana, as Gohana returned to her regular cloths now.

"You mentioned that I will be ready tomorrow, how do you plan on having that happen?" Videl asked confused.

"If I could solve it myself right now, I would. But we dont even know how many and I want to make sure you can defend yourself properly!" Gohana said a bit worried.

Videl could tell from her tone she was worried. And she didn't blame Gohana either. She had no idea what she had in mind though, but she trusted her, no matter what.

"Whatever it is, if it helps then I'm game." Videl said confidently.

"Good. Let's get to where we are going. I'll have a quick errand to run before we get started though. If you start to feel light headed though just let me know. We are going up pretty high." Gohana said smiling and continued to fly, being aware of how close Videl was to let her set the pace, despite she was leading them.

Gohana was right, they were pretty high. Though Videl could continue flying, she was breathing harder due to the lack of oxygen. It wasnt enough for her to be unable to continue flying on her own though, so long as that was all they did. Videl hadn't asked where they were going. She assumed whatever Gohana said would confuse her anyway and she would find out once they got there.

Looking down, all she saw were clouds in every direction, and nothing but blue sky above her. it was rather peaceful, beautiful she had to admit. This was a first for her like this. It was totally different than in a ship.

Eventualy Videl thought that she saw something ahead of them. Though she could barely even tell what it is, she assumed that was their destination. As she got closer and closer she could see far more. This giant thing was floating in the air? No, there was a red stick holding it up? Videl didnt even bother trying to logically think about it any more. Gohana's world always seemed so weird and bizzare, though now it did seem like her new world.

Gohana landed on the lookout woth Videl shortly behind her, still breathing harder than normal.

"You okay?" Gohana asked.

"Yeah, just not used to this thin air." Videl said between breaths.

"Well you'll get used to it. Okay, so Dende iiiis, that way. Come on, follow me." Gohana waved her as she started walking towards the building.

Videl followed and was more interested in looking around than anything. This place seemed so strange to her. But then again almost everything had lately. Ever since Gohana came into her life it was one thing after another. She didnt even see Gohana stop until she ran right into her.

"You okay Videl?" Gohana asked looking back at Videl rubbing her nose a bit.

"Yeah, Im okay." she answered and looked past Gohana seeing two people, one green and the other solid black.

"Ah, you must be one of Gohana's new friends." Dende said smiling.

"Yeah, this is Videl. She's one of my students too." Gohana smiled and looked back at Videl. "This is my friend Dende. And behind him is Mr. Popo, he attents to the lookout and helps Dende.. And Dende here is the guardian of Earth."

"Guardian? But I though you guarded Earth."

"It's a little different than that. I may be the guardian of Earth but I more so look over it and make sure everything is as it should be. Gohana and the rest are the fighters."

Videl tried to folllow it, but after earlier today her brain was done for the day even though it had just started. Though it was pretty obvious to them she got the main idea.

"So what brings you here Gohana?"

"Long story short, some crime gangs somehow learned to use ki, and are actively targeting Videl. I need to get her stronger fast so she is safe."

"Wait, how could random thugs learn to use ki? Humans don't naturally learn to use it!" Dende asked confused.

"Well, i have a theory, but I need to see Tien first. But when i get back though I plan to take Videl into the room for a few hours. It's the only way i can make sure she can look after herself, fast."

"Oh, of course Gohana. The rooms always there for you to use." Dende nodded.

Glad that was taken care of, Gohana turned back to Videl.

"I have to go see someone real quick. I wont be long but when i get back were going to start some real training for you, okay?" Gohana explained.

"Wait, up here? Why couldn't we have done that at home? Or your gravity chamber?" Videl asked confused.

"I promise, I'll exain when I get back. Just give me a little bit. I'll be back soon." Gohana said and quickly headed off without wasting more time.

Videl just watched as Gohana ran, leaving her with these two. Turning back to her hosts, Videl noticed it was now just her and, what was his name again?

"Sorry but I missed your name. I know Gohana said it but its been a rough day." Videl nervously asked as she was usually good with names.

"It's okay, my name is Dende."

"And I'm Popo."

"Dende, Popo. right...so are you?" Videl asked noticing his unique appearance.

"Oh, um well how much has Gohana explained?" Dende answe, unsure how much Videl knew. "Actually don't worry about that, just give me a second." Dende interrupted his own queation and placed his hand on Videls forehead. Videl just looked confused at his hand as best she could and wondered what he was doing.

"Ah that explains that. I'm a Namekian, from Namek. Gohana must really trust you!"

"Namek? Oh yeah Gohana did tell me about that planet. And I guess she does, yes." Videl tried to make small talk. She was surprised how calm she felt around this person dispite Gohana just left her here. She just hoped she got back soon.

"So, I was right than." Gohana asked, taking her phone back from Tien.

"Yeah, I hoped that he would never come back into my life. Well, even if not directly me, this still is a bit unpleasant. If you want, I can take care of this!" Tien offered.

"No, thanks though Tien. I just needed to confirm it with you." Placing her phone back in her pocket. "Hey since I'm here, hows Launch doing? She's due next week, right?" Gohana asked.

"Why dont cha ask her yourself." Gohana heard from behind.

Turning around, Gohana saw Launch there with Chiotzu floating next to her who smiled and waved at her.

"Heya kiddo."

"Hi Launch, Chiaotsu." Gohana bowed after she turned.

"Hey will you knock off the polite formality bs. Im still not used to it." Launch complained. "Besides, technically speaking shouldn't we be bowing to you." She teased Gohana knowing she hated it.

"Yeah, please don't." Gohana nervously asked.

"As long as you dont bow to me, I wont bow to you, deal? Not that I can bow very well right now." she said rubbing her stomach a little bit.

"Anyway Gohana you better be here when I need ya." Launch reminded her of her promise.

Why did she accelt the request for helping? Her only experience was when Goten and Raina were born, and she happened to be training with Krillin when 18 went into labor. And she was freaking out during both!

"Yeah I will." Gohana answered a bit nervously.

"Anyway Tien thank you. I need to head out now." Gohana said and about to head out.

"Gohana, you already planned to take care of this situation before you even came here, didn't you." Tien stated more as a fact than a question.

Gohana just stood there a little bit, not saying anything as she looked at the ground.

"He started this!" Gohana said with a serious expression.

"Just...dont do anything you'll regret." Tien said, knowing Gohanas temper when shes angry.

"I wont regret keeping my friend safe." Gohana answered after a slight awkward pause and flew off.

"Man, is it just me or did she seem a bit...off just now" Launch asked.

"Yeah, her ki did feel rather strange." Chiotzu answered.

"So you felt that too." Tien answered with a long awkward silence following.

Launch just looked between the both of them and groaned in annoyance.

"Yo, non ki sensing personality present at the moment. Care to fill me in?" Launch asked.

"I dont know. Just something seemed...strange about Gohana just now." Tien said with a hint of regret.

"Tien, should we do something?" Chiotzu asked.

Tien did think about it for a moment but just sighed.

"No, whatever happens, they brought it on themselves again." As he closed his eyes and turned around and walked back towards his students.

Gohana landed near a small building up in the mountians. She could sense there were several people around. Only a few felt remotely strong, at least strong enough for the person she was looking for. Walking around, she finally found the front door to the dojo and knocked. She could hear the conversation from inside quiet down a bit as one voice became louder as it approached. Gohanas was trembling and clenching her firsts, and her hair was standing up a bit. She was trying to not lose her temper as best as she could.

The door finally opened and Gohana was trembling more when she saw who opened the door.

"And what the hell do you want. Ah, already trembling in fear I see. Well at least your not as stupid as other travelers that come here." He examined Gohana.

Gohana just glared at him, trying to not lash out, trying to calm down even a little.

"Well it is obvious you came here for a reason. Very well, seeing as Im going to kill you anyway, I'll at least hear out what you came her to die over." he casually said with his hands behind his back as his robotic red eyes looked Gohana up and down.

"Are you training people to kill someone named Videl?" Gohana was nearly growling as she glared at him trying to restrain herself by clenching her fists harder, drawing her own blood a little bit.

"Videl?" he repeated confused.

"Videl Satan." Gohana couldn't stop her hair from slightly raising a bit as her anger kept rising.

"Ah, yes the Satan girl. Not that it is any of your business. But yes I was paid very handsomely to break out some pathetic excuses of thugs and even more for every single one I whip into shape, even have some of them refusing to listen inside!" He raised his voice specific to get them to get back to training before turning back to Gohana, all of them reauming training out of fear.

"I dare say I can retire once i get my final payment when one of them finally does end her." he started bragging at her, not reading the situation.

Reaching for his right hand, he detached it from underneath his sleeves, and a blade sprung from his forearm.

"Unfortunately you have wasted enough of my time. And Tao Pai Pai doesn't take kindly to that. Now, be a good little girl and die just like she will soon."

Before he could even move to attack her, Gohana had him at his throat, slowly crushing it as he tried to escape. He kept hitting her with the sword repeatedly to no avail until it broke. Everyone inside was in shock. He was looking right at Gohana, trying to get out of her grasp to no avail. Gohana just glared at him, her eyes cold, as everyone inside was trembling in fear seeing the person who they feared more than anything completely powerless.

Tao Pai Pai was trembling in fear at Gohana, he now recognized her from years ago, and her father, as he saw her hair and eyes change. He doubled his efforts to break out from her grasp as his 'students' behind him attempted to make a run for it.

Gohana surged her ki to create a blast of air to blow them all back, glaring even harder as her breathing became more animalistic as her eyes slowly changed as she growled at him.

"You...wont...touch her..."
