Gohana kept focusing more inward on herself. more specifiy her own feelings. It didn't help she didnt sleep very well either so she was a bit tired. She just couldn't get it out of her head, what Vegeta helped her realize.

"Hey, you in there?"

Gohana opened her eyes and just looked at Videl sitting across from her. She was able to not blush, but only by looked upwards.

"Hey, come on. You're the teacher here. Shouldn't you be paying attention if I'm doing this correctly?" Videl asked.

"Yeah, of course. Sorry I didn't sleep very well last night." Gohana half lied.

"I guess whatever you two talked about must have shooked you up, huh? You two train together, right?" Videl asked, leading to something else.

"Yeah, usually. Although technically right now Piccolo and I are also training him a bit. A little different than yours. Why?"

"Well, do you need to leave or something for a bit? I mean since you both spoke, you seem very occupied. Did he say something to you?"

'Oh not much, other than made me realize Im falling in love with you!' Gohana screamed at herself mentally.

"It's nothing!" Gohana lied, slightly blushing.

"Okay, if you say so." Videl said.

'I'm just worried about you!' Videl thought.

"So Ive been letting my energy flow throughout me as hard as i could the last hour like you asked. its pretty exhausting I gotta say. But what was the point of it exactly?"

"Well, you've seen me with my ki flairing up around me." Gohana started and got up, offering Videl her hand to help her up which was taken.

"What we're doing is moving out energy through our body, and if we are doing it it can manifest like that. We can do it whenever we want, but it's also sometimes a reaction."

Videl thought back to the few times she saw Gohana do that to intimidate criminals as Saiyako. She knew what she was talking about for sure, but wasn't sure how to make that happen.

"So Ive been pushing my energy through me the last hour, but my energy didnt do that." Videl said with a confused tone.

"Probably because your ki isnt strong enough to happen on its own, you'll actively need to power up." Gohana explained.

"Right, powering up. I have noticed since we started this, I can sorta feel something sometimes. I cant very much from anyone else, but when Ive seen you use Ki I can sorta feel this...It's hard to explain...this...sensation...pressure maybe?"

"Oh wow, you can sense my energy without learning how to do it!" Gohana was impressed.

"Is that how you can generally find me and your friends?"

"Yeah, generally our ki is stronger at all times than an average person. Not a huge amount but noticeable. And when we power up its almost like a giant 'hey over here' beacon. The stronger someone's ki, the easier it is to sense. And we can tell someones strength by their ki. At least their strength if they are not supressing it."

Gohana let her ki raise far more than her resting level. She decided to demonstrate for Videl so she could make a direct example.

"Did...you just raise yours?" Videl asked, noticing a difference.

"Yup, decided to see if you could pick up on that. It may help fighting of criminals. It will also let you sense were people are around you without your eyes."

Videl could seriously tell how useful something like that would be! Instead of having to visually see the thugs to figure out how many there were, she could sense them.

"Is that why you taught me to surge my ki?"

"No, i taught you that so you could power up, and make your body more durable. But since you naturally seem to be able to sense things, i think we will work on both of those while we are in here."

"Got it. So how much longer are we staying in here for?"

"Depends." Gohana simply answered.

"Depends? On what?" Videl asked, wanting to know her specific goal.

'How long i can keep myself sane.'

"Uhhh, until you can sense ki better." Gohana blurted out the first thing that came into her mind.

"Alright, then lets get to it! How do we do that though."

Gohana was glad she had already trained Lime and her siblings to do just that. A simple 'where am i' or 'how many ki balls' drills.

Gohana spent the next several hours just moving around Videl while floating, asking Videl roughly where she was compared to where Videl was standing. It took a little while, but Videl was slowly getting the hang of what ki felt like more consciously. Though she couldn't really guage strength, she could locate the general direction easily. Distance was still also something to work at. But she was making amazing progress for just learning about it.

--

Gohana just stood in the shower, letting the hot water just hit her. She had managed to make it through the day, barely. But a lot of it seemed to be because Videl spent a vast majority of it with her eyes closed. So she couldn't see Gohana just staring at her, or blushing randomly.

The idea of telling her crossed her mind a few times today, but she just pushed it to the back of her mind. She felt like that, sure. But what are the odds Videl would feel the same? Like, none!

And the odds of Videl pushing Gohana away? Maybe not very high, but was a chance! Leaning her forehead against the shower wall, Gohana just hugged her arms in front of her.

"I find someone I fall for, and it's Videl. Just my luck."

Maybe Videl wouldn't push her away though? She didn't when she said she was part alien! So why would a girl liking another girl freak her out? Gohana just couldn't stop thinking about it. Shutting the shower off, Gohana just grabbed her towel to dry off, and got her pajamas on, leaving her hair down for now. Gohana went to grab the door handle, but just stopped.

"But...just what if she feels the same?" Was it worth it risking losing Videl as a friend?

Videl had spent the entire time curled up on her bed. She was still very sore, so she just layed on her side. She was deep in thought, more so about her own feelings. She luckily had all day to focus on ki work, but the moment they were done, she couldn't get it out of her mind.

"Gohana's a girl, she can't be your boy friend." Videl told herself outloud.

In a way, this really sucked. She finally found someone she actually though about being boyfriend material, and it turned out to be Gohana. So, girlfriend in this case she supposed.

But she never thought of girls this way before. And what about Gohana? She's mentioned having kids when shes older and found thenright person. She wouldn't be able to have that with her anyway.

"I must be crazy!" Videl sat up.

'Is it just i like girls? Well I guess ive crushed on guys, so maybe both? Or is it just Gohana?'

Thinking of some of the girls shes been around her life, she coudlnt really think anything about them in this way. Even Erasa she thought about, but nothing. So maybe it was just Gohana specifically.

This was so new to Videl she wasn't even sure of she should bring it up at all, even as a joke just to giage Gohana's reaction Gohana would probably just get to embarassed, shes to sweet and innocent, dispite the combat. And besides, what were the odds Gohana of all people would like another girl, let alone her?

Hearing Gohana finishing with her shower, Videl grabed a pair of the pajamas to wear and headed towards the door.

Videl reached for the door handle, but didnt open the door. Just stood there, holding it.

"But...what if she does feel the same?"

Gohana grabbed the door nob, took a deep breath to calm herself down, and pulled the door open. She didn't even bother looking and soon found herself falling backwards onto her butt as Videl was flung forward towards her.

Gohana landed hard as Videl fell ontop of her. Videl was so thrown off by what happened it took her a few seconds to realize what happened. The moment she did realize she was sitting on Gohana, she immediately bolted up and looked the other way, totally embarassed.

"Im sorry! "Videls face was beat red.

Gohana's face was also beat red, but she was also a bit more shy about it. Having Videl land on top of her only made her so shocked she was almost frozen. If Videl had not gotten off of her she would have seen Gohana being completely shocked and fluttered herself.

Getting a grip on herself, Gohana stood up and grabbed her stuff Gohana appologized and snuck past Videl to go to bed.

The next day wasn't much better either. Neither Videl nor Gohana could really look each other in the eye very well. For short amounts of time, or if Gohana was explaining something specific, then they could just fine. Outside of that, one would just glance away before blushing.

By the fifth day inside, Videl had grapsed pretty well sensing energy, and where it was coming from. Not to mention fortifying her body by powering up. Though nowhere near any of Gohana's family, she was far stronger than she was even a week ago.

"Man, why is using Ki so tiring." Videl asked, letting her energy calm down after another powering up practice session.

"It's your energy, remember? You'll be tired after a normal workout, and that unconsciously uses ki to an extent, thats why people who are stronger already have strong ki. So using it directly will also make you tired."

"Yeah, that makes sense." Videl said, looking down at her hands, her muscles finally not sore as well from that first day.

"So you mentioned you can guage someones strength based on how their ki feels. Can I try sensing how strong you are?" Videl asked, curious what Gohana's strength felt like.

Gohana just nodded and quickly raised her energy substantially, but not enough to cause interference with the living quarters. her ki didnt even flair up around her either. Videl still fell backwards in shock. She could absolutely feel Gohana's ki. And it felt like a hurricane had hit her full force. Gohana was a little taken back by that and went over to help her up.

"Ahh, are you okay?" Gohana asked.

"Yeah, just feeling that power. So is this what it feels like when fighting someone like Cell?" Videl asked.

Gohana had to think about how to explain it. Sure, sensing the power gap was definitely there, but not all of it.

"Well, as you get better at sensing Ki, you can sorta feel malicious intent. And that only adds to it usually. And can make it seem even worse."

"Oh, you mean like the hairs on the back of your neck standing up and you cant explain why?" Videl asked.

"Um yeah actually." Gohana was amazed Videl was able to make sense of it that fast.

"Okay, so you're the strongest. And I'm guessing that makes Vegeta the next strongest? What about everyone else?"

"Yeah, pretty large gap between us. After Vegeta is Piccolo. I think. Then Raina, Goten is a tad weaker, and Trunks is a bit below him. Then theres Tien, Krillin. Lime and Yamcha are pretty even. Then Chiotzu. And honeatly we're not sure about 17 or 18."

"What, how can you guys not tell? I thought reading ki helped you guage an opponant?"

"We're not sure where they are because they are androids. So they dont have ki for us to sense. Though 18 did learn to sense energy. She's implied 17 is just below Vegeta, and herself above Piccolo. But that was her guessing. They cant really read each others, but they can somehow guage it." Gohana shrugged.

"Oh...okay then. How come everyone else is so much lower than you then? I mean don't you all do similar training? Lime mentioned in passing her own gravity chamber she has at home."

"Well, thats another thing with Saiyan's." Gohana rubber her neck again. "We already gain more out of training than human's, so even without Super Saiyan we have that benefit. Add to that the more damage we take in combat, be it actual fights or training, we get an even stronger boost on top of that. So the more banged up Vegeta and I get when we train, or particularly spar against one another, we get a far larger gain strength and power."

"So basically you both have genetic cheat codes." Videl summed up.

"Um, I guess you could explain it that way. But another reason im so much above Vegeta is because im a hybrid. Apparently, hybrids have far more potential and get the other two benefits of being a Saiyan, but a bit more intensely. So i twnd to get a slightly bigger boost if Vegeta and I are equally banged up."

"So, your power right now. How is it compared to how Cell was?" She asked, trying to get any sort of guage how to put everyone on some type of scale.

"Right now? Um well I'm not even powered up much at all. Cell is way above this, but honestly even without going Super Saiyan i could easily handle Cell. Even Piccolo is actually stronger now than Cell was."

Videl just took everything in. With those advantages, no wonder she was so strong! And knowing about that advantages would only make it easier to take advantage of them!

"So I guess catching up to you isn't ever going to happen then, huh." Videl said, more as a matter of factly. Though she didnt seem upset about it.

"Well you can absolutely become far stronger than almost anyone else." Gohana tried to reassure her.

"Your damn right I will!" Videl gave her a confident look.

Gohana looked slight downward at her and was oddly mesmerized by her. Feeling a blush coming on, Gohana quickly turned around so Videl wouldn't notice.

"Anyway, lets get back to some training! Will finish up today, and then rest up. And once we've both slept will head on back out."

--

Vegeta just stood at the door, glarring at it as he tapped his foot repeatedly.

"Vegeta, are you really that impatient?" Piccolo asked him, also waiting near the door.

"Shut the fuck up Piccolo! I'm in no mood right now!" Vegeta barked at him.

Piccolo knew what the anger was about. They didn't mention the time chamber to him. So of course he was angry. He didnt blame Vegeta for being angry either. It just proved he wanted to get stronger.

"I take it you're going to spend a year and a half to match Gohana's time in there?"

"Nnnn, honestly at first that was the point. But what good is it without the training you two have in mind once I master Super Saiyan 2? Im going to go in until I master it, then you're going to come in and get my training started." Vegeta glarred at him. "But yes I plan on being inside to match that time."

"You sure you're ready? Its not going to be the type of training you're used to." Piccolo warned him.

"Don't remind me! But I've seen first hand how strong Gohana is these past seven years, and especially the last year. If it means I have a better chance at catching up to her..." Vegeta swallowed his pride, but also didnt finish the sentence.

"Well, seeing as I'll be teaching you something, I've , gotta ask. You were always trying to beat Goku up until the end. What made that switch to Gohana?"

Vegeta just gave it some though, not just the answer, but if to even answer. He thought back to that day Gohana literally beat some sense into him to get him training again. But more importantly, what he started training for since then. Damn it, he had gotten soft these past several year.

"She's stronger than her father, which means if I can beat her, I beat Kakarot by proxy." Vegeta finally answered.

"Well, either way, I can tell you're old self in the Cell games is nothing compared to what you are now. Id say the training has gone well!"

Vegeta didn't want to admit it, but it was nice to hear from someone acknowledge the obvious rise in power.

"So tell me. What the first thing I'll be doing in training. Once I master Super Saiyan 2?"

Before Piccolo could even answer, the door opened, catching both of their attention. Gohana and Videl walked out casually, until Videl just stopped in her tracks looking at back and forth between Vegeta and Piccolo.

"So, I'm not sure why you went in. But how did it go?" Piccolo asked.

"Pretty good actually. I had to get Videl here stronger in a hurry. So I used the time chamber to..." Gohana stopped as she looked back at Videl, noticing her expression.

Vegeta and Piccolo now noticed Videl staring at them as well. Neither of them said anything, and Videl was to overwhelmed with their ki as neither of them were suppressed.

"Hey, Videl you okay?" Gohana finally asked.

"Yeah. Just...their ki."

Gohana was so used to it, that she was a little lost exactly what Videl was talking about. Though she was also just glad to be out of the room. Not that she didn't mind being in the room, but being around Videl. She still wasn't sure how to react around her. She kept mentally getting a bit distracted.

Vegeta finally just walked past them and slammed the door to the chamber closed jolting Videl out of her own train of thought.

"So, this is one of the friends you're training I take it." Piccolo looked down at Videl.

"Yeah, oh right You two never officially meet. Videl, this is Mr. Piccolo."

"Mr. Piccolo, your teacher? So he's from Namek as well huh?" Videl looked up at him, noticing the similarities between him and Dende. They looked so similar yet different.

"I take it Gohana's filled you in on a lot then?" Piccolo picked up.

"Yeah, I guess you could say that." Videl looked back at Gohana, than Piccolo again.

"Sorry I dont know how else to ask this, but how do you teach Gohana if she's so much stronger than you are? She said you train and teach her."

Piccolo just looked down at Videl, having no idea what to even think. Most humans were too scared to even look at him usually because of how he looked. But she was just up front in asking. He had to admitt, that did impress him a bit. She had guts.

"Huh, I guess I can see what Vegeta meant than. If you must know, yes Gohana is far stronger than me in terms of combat. But that doesnt mean she can't still learn from someone else. You're a martial artist, right? So surely you must understand the concept of never stop learning and improving." Piccolo crossed his arms as he spoke.

"Yeah, I guess that makes sense. I'm still a bit new to all of this though. Entire new world." Videl responded.

"Don't wory too much. If Gohana trusts you and the other one, by default im sure the rest of us will." Piccolo responded.

"By the way Gohana, before you leave I need to talk to you. It's about what happened earlier. Vegeta filled me in a bit."

Gohana immediately blushed hard, not knowing if Vegeta included the part her bonding with Videl. Videl did notice Gohana's face, but she thought he was talking about something embarassing that happened. Still, she looks rather cute being so shy. Videl blushed slightly and quickly looked away so Gohana wouldn't notice.

"Sure Piccolo. Let me make sure Videl gets home safely." Gohana tried stalling.

Videl was a bit happy that Gohana was so worried about her, but at the same time, she was pretty sure she could get home on her own.

"If it's important, I can head out myself. It's not like anyone would find me up in the sky." Videl reasoned.

"Doesn't matter too much to me. I just need to talk to Gohana." Piccolo responded, and started walking towards the outside, Gohana following, and obviously Videl.

Once out in the open air, Videl was so glad to be out of the room. It wasnt as hot as Gohana described it when she first used it, but it was still stuffy. The air was also not as thin up here, and that combined with a slight breeze, it felt amazing to be outside in the fresh air again.

"Right, I guess I'll head off home then." Videl said and hovered a little bit in the air, but didnt go anywhere. She just hovered a few feet in the air before turning around sheepishly.

"Um, Gohana which direction is home?" Videl asked, having no clue where to go. She was still not experienced flying more than around a room. Let alone outside from city to city.

"Oh, its that direction." Gohana pointed out. "You sure you'll be alright by yourself?" Gohana asked, just trying to stall talking to Piccolo.

"As I said, who's gonna find me in the sky. Besides after what happened earlier, I dont think any more thugs will try something else in the same day. I'll be fine."

"Okay, well you should be able to get there in about an hour I'd say casually. Maybe faster if you booked it." Gohana gave her an eta.

"Wait, what time is it anyway?" Videl asked, still thrown off from the time dilation.

Gohana didnt know the exact time either. Thinking back, the event this morning happened before school, they were at the police station for a few hours, and her round trip from the station, to Tien's dojo, the mountians, and back to the lookout took another hour. Guessing the time frame, and being in the chamber.

"I'm guessing its maybe early afternoon. Maybe two or three." Gohana finally answered after thinking hard about it still guessing more than anything.

"Okay, nightly news about my fights happens around six usually. I guess I have a few hours to figure out what to do and say if it gets out i can fly. I cant imagine what my dad would say."

Gohana gave an awkward smile at that and laughed nervously. She knew full well what he would probably say about ki and flight in general.

"I can help with your dad if you need." Gohana nervously offered.

"Okay, maybe I will. And maybe I can then finally get an answer from him about why he lied to everyone."

"Is...that what you want?" Gohana asked.

Truthfully, she had always wondered why he did it. She ultimately didn't care, which is why she refused to ask him, and asked everyone to not confront him about it. But she wouldn't deny Videl that. And she would confront him about if, for her, if she wanted.

"He doesn't need to tell the whole world. And I'll respect your wishes and keep it between us. But I at least want to know. Anyway, I'll see you tomorrow Gohana." Videl speed off.

"Now that she's gone. Gohana, your ki earlier. Did you notice anything?" Piccolo asked her wasting no time.

"No, Vegeta mentioned something as well it being weird but I don't know." Gohana answered.

"Do you at least remember what it felt like?"

Gohana shook her head, Piccolo looking the other way deep in thought.

"Well, whatever it was, its not there anymore. So no use trying to figure it out now. Thought I may have had an idea how we could use. But not so sure if you can't remember it either."

"Sorry about that." Gohana appologized profusely.

"Heh, nothing to be sorry about kiddo. Not the end if the world. Anyway shouldn't you be headed home?" Piccolo asked, getting a confused look.

"Not sure exactly, but if you were not at school all day, wouldn't your mom find out like she did when you were home schooled and skipped that?"

Goahana's face went white as a sheet and without even saying anything else blasted off as fast as she could towards her house. Piccolo thought it a bit amusing, the most powerful fighter, brought to her knees by her comparative weak mother. Still, Chichi even scared himself on rare occasions. Though he wouldn't admit that to anyone else.

--

Raina and Goten just stood looking out the window as Chichi furiously stood outside staring off into the sky. Neither of them had any idea why their mom was so mad.

"Hey Goten. Do you think I shouldn't have told mom when I felt Nee chan headed home?" Raina asked, worried she got Gohana in trouble.

"I don't know. I came out and mom was just standing outside. Why, did Gohana do something?" Goten asked confused.

They both just continued to watch, both of them feeling Gohana would be there any second now. Chichi soon saw herself the familiar look of ki flying towards her, and her scowl grew larger. Gohana quickly landed and Chichi wasted no time in marching over to her.

"Alright Gohana you have a lot of explaining to do!" Chichi nearly blew up.

"Mom, I can explain!" Goahan shrink down a little at her mom.

"You better be able to! I can understand being a bit late because of your super hero side gig, and I am fine with that. But to miss an entire day of school?!" Chichi was nearly shouting.

"Mom, I promise I didn't mean for that to happen! Today...well it got out of control."

"Then where exactly have you been all day?" Chichis temple throbbed a bit.

"Well, a few hours at the police station. There was an incident today. And after that I took Videl into the Time Chamber for a few hours and..." Gohana was nervously rubbing her neck.

"What, you missed an entire day at school for Videl! I know she's your friend and technically your student! But that doesn't mean you get to skip school to help her!" Chichi interrupted her.

"But mom, you dont understand, she..."

"She's a crime fighter just like you are! She was in danger, i get it. But that doesn't mean you get to skip school!"

"But mom! Its a lot more serious. These thugs, they...

"You're training her to use her ki so she should be fine, more than fine in fact!"

"So I should just leave her in danger and possibly die?" Gohana was starting to feel a bit defensive, and her emotions slowly rising.

"She should have known the dangers of becoming a crime fighter! Just as you and everyone else when a threat comes along! That doesnt mean you have to drop your responsibilities! It doesn't work like that."

"What? Mom you're being unreasonable! If i hadn't done that, Videl could be killed! She almost was today!" Gohana looked a bit angry now herself.

"Gohana I get that, but she knows the dangers of fighting those lousy criminals. But, why are you beins so defensive about this?" Chichi asked noticing Gohanas sudden shift in demeanor, not knowing what it was.

"Because I wont watch the girl I like be killed!" Gohana shouted in anger.

Neither Gohana nor Chichi said anything. In fact they could even hear the wind blowing through the trees.

Gohana's eyes shoot open as her face became beat red when she realized what she had just said. It was one thing to be told and realize thanks to Vegeta, but to say it out loud to someone else? Gohana quickly covered her face by pulling her hair that usually went in front of her face down against it. She just told her mom she liked someone. And Videl. She had barely any time to even get used to that herself!

Chich immediately understood, how could she not? Gohana continued her training so she could never have to face watching someone she loved die because of her again. She knew full well what that did to her already. This wouldn't be any different in her daughters mind.

"I cant say I ever saw that happening."

Gohana just stood there, not uncovering her face or even saying anything. She just stood there too embarassed to do anything.

Chichi walked up to her and placed her hand on her shoulder.

"Let's go inside, we can talk there."

--

Gohana gave her mom the breif run-down about what had happened today. With Videl this morning, her being in extreme danger, up in the mountians with Tao Pai pai, and with an extremely red face her chat with Vegeta and their time in the time chamber.

Chichi wasnt too sure how to feel. She was elated that Gohana actually found someone she likes! Though she never expected it would be another girl, but what shocked her was how brutally Gohana had killed them. But hearing why, and hearing Gohana, she couldn't blame her too much. She had been fully updated on her rage boosts thanks to her mental break downs right after the Cell games. And hearing about Saiyan Bonding, it made sense it would trigger that.

"Are.. you going to say something?" Gohana asked, still blushing a bit, Chichi having not said anything for a while and the silence starting to get to her.

"Well, it does feel nice knowing you found someone you care for that much. Does she know though?"

"What? No! I only found out like a few days ago! Well for me at least. I can't tell her. Besides..." Gohana paused and looked down at the table. "What are the odds she'd even have feelings back for me. What if I tell her and she doesnt want to be friends anymore?"

"Sweety, its okay!" Chichi placed her hand on her daughters hand comfortingly.

"I..Well for now..I dont know. Honestly it hit me out of the blue. I didn't expect it, so im confused. I mean, even if Videl did like girls, what would the odds be she'd like me back?"

"Well sweety, honestly thats part of life. You'll never know if you dont try. But lets say you dont tell Videl, but you stay friends. Would you be okay never knowing and just staying friends?"

Gohana did think for a moment on that. And as this was just so new to her, she wasn't sure. She knew she couldn't get the courage to tell her now at least. Maybe in the future? Maybe hinting at it? Who was she kidding, shed accidentally somehow confess while trying to covertly find out.

"For right now it just feels better than losing her." Gohana finally answered honestly more to herself than to her mom.

"Then don't worry about it now then sweety."

Gohana just nodded and blushed a little. She was sure after some time she would be able to wrap her head more around her feelings, what she wanted. And even what to do about it.

"I guess its a good thing I told Raina and Goten to head to see Trunks. Knowing those two they would have eavesdroped and flat out asked Videl."

Gohana blushed hard at that and quickly tried to calm down. Chichi couldn't stop smiling though. Yeah this would make grandchildren trickier. But deep down more than anything, she was so happy to see her daughter growing up and falling in love.

--

Gohana sat on the bed after having a hot shower. it was still too early for her to go to sleep, but it still helped her calm down a bit. To her it was almost a week ,but really it was barely even a day. And regardless it was a rollercoaster.

Glancing at the clock, Gohana went down to the living room and found Chichi watching tv. Though this did interfere with her mom relaxing, she had to know.

"Um, mom? Could we please put the Satan City news on?"

"What, the news? What on Earth makes you want to watch the news?" Chichi asked confused.

"I...just need to see something" Gohana blushed a bit.

Gohana never watched the news so this must be important. Chichi flipped through a small book to find the channel Gohana wanted, and changed the tv to the station. Gohana sat down and was nearly glued to the tv, and Chichi just watched her in confusion.

For nearly half an hour, Gohana didnt say a word but was fully focused on the tv. After what seemed like hours, but in reality only about twenty minutes, Gohana let out a sigh of relief when the news segment finished for the day, only mentioning Videl had helped stop a bombing threat. But they didn't mention flying.

"Is this about what you told me earlier?" Chichi asked, Gohana nodding.

"Yeah, the only reason Videl wasn't killed or at least severely injured was because she learned to fly. She was worried about it getting spread around." Gohana answered, looking a bit calmer.

"I take it that wouldn't be good for her. Or for you?"

"I guess. But also she wants to confront her dad when she's ready about him lying. If the news came out about her flying, it would make it more difficult."

"Wait, wouldn't that expose you! I thought you didn't want to be known? That's why we never did confront him before!"

"Not publically! Videl just wants to hear the truth from him why he did it, just between them. Well, us I guess. And Ioffered to help. I mean, yeah the last thing I want is for the public to know." Gohana pulled her legs up onto the couch and hugged her knees as she rested her chin on them.

"But I would be lying if I said I wasn't curious as well. I mean, I did look him up after all. He has started a lot of charities and he does do a lot of community service work and a lot of good with the fame and wealth he has. I really do think he's a good person and his heart was in the right place. Maybe a but egotiatical, sure."

"It always amazes me to see you so mature for your age Gohana." Chichi praised her.

Gohana blushed a little from the praise and smiled. Even with everything, she was glad she could still have semmeingly normal family moments.

"Thanks mom." Gohana smiled.

"Now hurry up and get to bed! You missed school today and I wont have you missing school tomorrow."

Gohana didnt argue too much, she felt she got off pretty easy tonight. Though she did accidentally spill the beans she liked Videl, but ultimately she didnt regret it either. It was a nice night with her mom, just the two of them. But more importantly, she was happy her mom supported her no matter what.

--

Gohana layed in bed inder her covers. Its warmth feeling nice. She wasn't that tired though. They did sleep before leaving the time chamber, so she would moat likely not sleep until tomorrow night if she had to guess. Still, being able to relax without being so close to Videl, alone, she could think straighter and relax more.
