Gohana landed the plane in the designated area carefully. She was used to flying and knew how to, but she preferred flying the old fashioned way, not with a machine! Still, she managed to gracefully land and shut the power off.
Erasa was the first to exit the vehicle, despite she wasn't even competing she loved the energy lf everyone around her.
"Oh my god this is great!" she squealed.
"Man, you're more excited than we all are!" Sharpner came up behind her and wrapped his arms around her, kissing the back of her head.
"Hey, you know me! I love being part of the crowd, especially when everyone's so excited.
It didn't take long before people started recognizing Videl and started crowding her. Gohana was caught in the middle of it but at this point she was used to it.
"Go on ahead, it may be a while until i get to the front." Videl told her, politely shooing her away. Gohana was also not used to being next to her when that happened and Videl was taking it easy on her today.
Gohana was able to make her way through everyone so they could chat with Videl. She just smiled at her once she was out of the crowd. She really did like making others happy.
"So Gohana, you really gonna be fighting like Mia?" Lime broke her out of her daze.
"Huh? Mia? Who's that?" Gohana asked confused.
"Well the colors are bit different and she shows more cleavage than you but you're dressed as Goten and Raina's favorite fighter in the game we play together."
"They literally dressed me as a video game character?" Gohana was thrown off, more so than yesterday! She just thought she was dressed like one, not as one.
"Hey, not like you can do much about it now! Besides, its not like they went out and bought the cloths specifically for it. You just happened to have all the things."
Gohana couldn't blame them though, but if they were doing it as a prank, or because they actually thought it was cool, it didn't matter much at the moment. And Lime was right, not like she could do anything about it.
"Hey Gohana, do you still need to enter at the main area even if you ore registered?" Shaprner asked.
"Oh yeah they made it abundantly clear to still arrive early to register. I think the whole pre register thing was mainly to get an idea of how many people planned to compete." She said thinking more like a business person for a moment.
"Then why don't we head on over there then." Lime started walking over, the others following.
Along the way they past many small snack stands, Gohana picking up a corn dog along the way.
"Man, always food with you huh?" Erasa teased.
"Hey, I didn't eat much for breakfast. Mom didn't want me too full."
"Haha, you still out ate even me!"
Gohana just blushed at Sharpeners remark and didn't say anything. She didn't eat that much more than him! just a few extra bowls of cereal! and a dozen extra eggs.
Once they got to the main check in area, Gohana glanced up and quickly headed over to it, to the surprise of everyone who quickly followed.
"Piccolo? What are you doing here!" Gohana was very surprised Piccolo was here after he said he had no intentions.
"To be honest kid, I'm not really sure. Some reason I felt like I needed to."
"Must by unconsciously picking up on something maybe?" Gohana asked
"Probably. But I figured it wouldn't hurt to be here. Don't worry I wont embarrass your girlfriend's father."
Gohana just laughed a little at the thought of Piccolo throwing a match. Though she had seen that when Goten and Raina first started sparring with them, but this was different.
Piccolo looked up and noticed the others coming up as well. Erasa looked a bit squeamish and hid behind Sharpener, who also looked nervous. But he could sense Piccolo and it was a bit harsh.
"Hi Piccolo!" Lime chimed in.
"Heya Lime, kinda surprised to see you here as well." he said looking to her
"Yeah well my village could use the money to repair after a flooding incident."
"Tournaments never were your thing so I knew it had to be a good reason."
Piccolo looked up and noticed the other two that were with them, Sharpner tensing a bit as he noticed him looking their way.
"Um, hello sir. You must be Piccolo." Sharpner nervously held his hand out.
"This is Sharpner! He's my other friend who I'm training." Gohana broke the ice.
Piccolo looked Sharpner up and down, and just huffed.
"At least he looks tough." Piccolo looked a tad annoyed, but took his hand and shook it.
"I'm not going to bite so relax." He said and crossed his arms again.
"He's really a big softie at heart, he's just looks scary on the outside."
"Right, a big softie, hahaha." Sharpener nervously laughed, remembering Gohana's stories about when he was training her at the age of four.
"Anyway Gohana keep a close eye on things will you? I cant shake this weird feeling off."
Gohana looked around and tried to see if she could pick up on anything that seemed out of place. But other than she could sense slightly stronger ki than normal, it wasn't anything to worry about. They were surrounded by expert martial artists after all.
"Yeah, I'll keep an eye out."
"Anyway lets get going and sign in." Lime broke the tension, having also tried to sense anything.
The five of them walked towards the main center area part the main gate. Piccolo just ignored the cameras that were everywhere, though Gohana did get recognized by a few report Satan City.
"Excuse me, you're dating Videl Satan, yes?" One of them shoved a camera and a mic in front of her, Gohana actually getting startled by how sudden it was.
"Uhh, um yes?" She nervously stuttered, as neither of the really hid it.
"What's it like planning on competing in the same tournament? What if you have to face her, do you think you could handle that?" she pushed the pic back at Gohana.
"Um, we spar often, I'm pretty sure I can handle it." Gohana nebulously got through speaking.
"Alright missy, enough. Gohana lets go!" Erasa shoved Gohana away, knowing she was too polite to walk away on her own.
Sharpner and Lime quickly following behind them as they made their way back to Piccolo.
"Sheesh, you're so powerful yet so damn polite. I can see why Videl likes you Gohana." Erasa teased her, getting Gohana to nervously laugh a bit.
"So, just how much do you all know?" Piccolo asked.
"I basically explained everything." Gohana answered for her.
"Good, I can speak freely if I need to then." Piccolo just resumed walking.
"You sure he's really a big softie?" Sharpener whispered to Gohana.
"I can hear you!" Piccolo answered, causing Sharpener to freeze for a moment.
"Yeah, once you get to know him he's really nice. But he is very powerful."
"So how powerful are we talking? Compared to you I mean." Sharpner asked, knowing Gohana was basically top dog.
"The only two stronger than him are myself and Vegeta, But Piccolo is pretty much stronger than everyone else combined."
"Oh, right. Glad he's on our side than."
Gohana and the others were able to sign in without issue, Gohana even signing Videl in as she was stuck with fans and the staff was able to confirm this. Now all they had to do was just wait in the combatants area. This meant Erasa did have to make her way to the stands, but not before her and Sharpner shared a kiss.
"So, you recognize anyone else here?" Sharpener asked.
Gohana just looked around and didnt see anybody she recognized and nodded. But she was getting an odd feeling about a few. Though It didn't seem to be an issue. Except that two of them were just staring her down. Though they didn't look intimidating.
"Hey Piccolo, you plan on just flicking everyone off?" Lime asked, getting a confused look from Sharpner.
"Most likely, why?"
"I've just never seen you fight anyone else but us, so I wasn't sure what to expect." Like answered.
"Did you plan on doing anything different yourself?" he asked her back.
"Touché." Was all Lime answered with.
"So how long until they start the punching machine thing?" Gohana asked.
"Well I believe they start somewhere around 10am, so in maybe fifteen minutes?" Sharpener said looking at his watch.
"Hey Guy's, sorry it took so long." Videl said as she ran up to them. "Oh, Piccolo I didn't know you would be here." She said once she noticed him.
"Neither did I." he said, Videl looking confused.
"He felt a weird feeling to be here. Probably the Kami in him picking up something."
"Oh, okay. anything I can do to help?" she asked.
"If you see something weird just let me know." Piccolo answered. "Same goes for you Sharpner."
"Yes sir!" Sharpener sounded more serious than scared, though still a tad nervous.
They just sat around waiting. They knew registration was almost finished and then they could move forward. Not much they could do about it.
"Excuse me everyone, can I please get all participants to gather around near me please."
This caught everyone's attention and everybody stopped what they were doing to head over there.
"Finally, its about time." Gohana said.
They made their way over like everybody else. It was obvious everybody was eager to get started!
"Now then, I want to welcome everybody! we have four hundred and thirty seven hopefuls with us today, but only sixteen of you will be able to make it to the main event. We will decide the lineup with the punching machine here." He gestured over to it. Everyone suddenly started cheering as Hercule had come around the corner unexpectedly. The person with the megaphone noticed this and happily waved him over, which Hercule came over.
"And why don't we have the man himself give us a demonstration!"
Everyone started cheering extremely loudly at this, wanting to see what he would get. Hercule didn't say anything, but took off his cape he always wore and handed it to one of the workers. He took a stance in front of the machine. Nobody said anything as Hercule focused. Everyone, even those in the back could hear easily his vocalization of his breathing as most did thst to help focus.
"Satan puunch!" he screamed as he slammed his fist into the machine.
The digital display at the top started showing random gibberish before settling at a number.

"Yeah, lets see how many of you get to a hundred and give me a real challenge!"
The crowd erupted into cheers for him as Hercule held his hand in the air with a victory symbol. This was getting everybody hyped up for their turn, even Videl and Sharpner were excited! Hercule grabbed his cape and put it back on and headed back the direction he came from.
"Alright, now if we could get everybody to get in a single file line please?" he announced through the megaphone.
It didn't take that long to get everyone in a like. Everyone was already super excited to get started and even though there were more then four hundred, it only took ten minutes. Whenever someone was about to take their turn, they took a number so they could be identified later to male it easier. They used the honor system, but then again a picture was taken when registering so no one even thought about cheating.
"Such a pathetic fall." Piccolo muttered, getting annoyed by this.
"Back when you entered it was a mock mini match to determine who would fight, right?" Videl asked.
"Yes, this is just pathetic."
"Hey it's almost our turn at least." Gohana tried to cheer him up from the front of the group.
"Just don't break it." Videl teased her.
"Next up, sixty two."
Gohana walked up and was ready to punch the machine. She could hear some comments directed at her.
"Hey, she looks pretty cute. What you bet she's just here to look tough, with an outfit like that!" a few started laughing.
Well what did she expect? She probably would have just shown up in her sparing bottoms and top anyway so technically she was wearing more cloths now. Lifting her hand up, Gohana carefully flicked the back of her hand into the machine, really not even sure how much force to really use.

Everyone looked in shock! Crap, even that was too hard? The technicians looked the machine over as they thought the pressure mechanism was broken. They did a few quick recalibrations and gave the thumbs up.
"I'm sorry Mrs, could I have you go again? Seems we had a glitch in the system."
Gohana just nodded and repeated what she just did, but tried hitting it less hard.

Apparently not as well. After now three consecutive high numbers like that, everyone was starting to talk. And a few even deciding to back out.
Videl stepped up and rotated her punching arm around. And still had to pull punches against bad guys, so maybe she wouldn't stand out as much?

Well, it wasn't as high. She looked over at Sharpener and mouthed "hit hard." Sharpener managed to actually understand what she was saying and he nervously stepped up. At this point the staff looked in utter shock and was wondering when it would end.
Sharpener wasn't nearly as powerful as even Videl and he knew it. He would need to actually punch, and punch he did

With all of them now having gone, and numbers now starting to resemble nora numbers again, Gohana sigh sighed with relief. It was just a simple punching machine! Why was she so exhausted just from that!
Gohana saw a few men approaching her, looking. a bit sheepish. Though they seemed like they had a question.
"Excuse us, Mrs?"
"Yes? And my name's Gohana." She answered when she picked up they wanted to address her by name.
"Uh, Gohana. How did you hit so hard! Who trained you?"
Gohana unintentionally glanced over at Piccolo looking confused.
"I did some training with Master Roshi a few years back." she lied.
"Master Roshi trained you?!" one of them nearly screamed. This got a lot of people now staring at her, Gohana now just wanting to hide.
She could hear whispers, his name still held great regard in the martial arts world, and it was pretty well known he didn't take students.
"How did you convince him to train you? Rumor is he never takes in new students anymore."
"Oh, well he trained my dad and god father when they where younger so he made an exception for me."
One of them just stared at Gohana deeply, like he was trying to put something together he had right in front of him. While the others left, he stayed behind.
"You look so familiar." he said, Gohana getting visibly embarrassed now.
"Her father was the world champ before mine." Videl spoke up for her.
He looked over to Videl and bowed in respect, Videl returning it. But then looked back, previous champions daughter? He took a deep look at Gohana and it clicked.
"Ah, that Son Goku's kid! Those fights were absolutely amazing!"
This immediately caused Gohana to relax a little bit, and not feel as embarrassed.
"Man, if you're anything like those vids of his fights, I don't stand a chance. But if I get to fight you, it would be an honor." he held his hand out.
"Yeah, no problem." Gohana awkwardly took his hand and shook it.
"Gah that was utterly embarrassing!" Gohana finally broke down once they had some privacy. Apparently that little outburst about Roshi had caused numerous people to ask questions to her and she didn't really enjoy it.
"Hey be thankful Vegeta didn't come. He'd have probably smashed the punching machin into pieces out of annoyance." Lime tried cheering her up.
Gohana couldn't help but laugh at that, knowing that was probably correct. It helped her forget her embarassment for a moment.
"Well we have a little while until the main event. What should we do?" Sharpner asked
Gohana's stomach started growling at this, and she just laughed a bit nervously as everyone stared at her.
"Come on sweety, let's get you some food." Videl just grabbed her wrist and started taking her towards the eating area.
Videl knew even those here looking to qualify were allowed to eat. Especially since it would be a bit until the results were publicly announced anyway so they let all would be competitors eat.
When they got there, Gohana was glad she had already eaten a bit earlier. She noticed others were also eating as well and the food smelt delicious.
"Excuse me, but could we each get some ramen? Oh and some pot stickers and dumplings?"
"Yes ma,am, five servings coming right up.
"Oh Gohana I'm not really that hungry?" Sharpener said.
"Oh I know, that's for me." She smiled back at him.
"Oh, right."
Gohana sat eating l of the food, getting some weird looks from others. Videl and Lime ended up getting just some dumplings for themselves as well, Sharpner and Piccolo just sitting and watching.
"You'd think I would be used to this by now." Piccolo spoke up.
Gohana now happily feed, they made their way out to the main area from earlier. They had seen the punching machine being hauled off and guessed the results were up. Not that any of them really needed to eve check. They were already seeing some people headed out from not passing. Many were obviously annoyed, some were visibly furious. And even more so, most looked more determined to make the cut next time. They decided to just make their way towards the competitors building. They didn't even need to go check.
Once they got close, Gohana noticed two people waiting. It was odd because they didnt look like they were from around here, and one of floating. Gohana stopped and just stared at them, if one of them was floating then obviously they were not normal!
"Hey, is anyone else getting some weird vibs from these guys?" Videl spoke up, as Piccolo just stared at them trying to figure them out.
He floated over towards them, everyone looking on at what would come of this.
"Good afternoon. You must be Son Gohana, am I right?" he said once he was close.
"Huh, yeah. But...who are you?" she asked confused.
"That isn't important. But we've traveled a great distance to be here today to meet you."
Gohana was confused, who were these guys? Obviously they knew her but she didnt know them.
"I'm looking forward to today's competition. It will be great to actually see you in combat."
"Yeah I guess, but have we meet?" Gohana asked confused.
"No, we have not." he held out his hand. "But you can call me Shin."
Gohana, not wanting to be rude, took his hand and returned the gesture. Upon holding his hand though, Gohana felt...weird? She could feel something about him, but she wasn't exactly sure what. But there was definitely something to him!
Shin had an odd look of amusement, and surprise on his face. It was like he was also surprised like she was. But he already knew her, what would he be surprised about?
"Well, we shall see each other in the ring perhaps. It would be an honor to fight with you." his smile back and returned back to his partner.
Gohana just nodded back at him and continued walking. Everyone else walking with her. Though they all did stare at them as they walked past, but none of them said anything.
"Kabito?"
"Yes?" he looked over.
"I sense we have to adjust our plan."
"But sir, are you sure?"
"Yes, I feel we should be up front with them."
Kabito looked nervous at this, but we was the pupil. Why would they change the plan so readily? But he trusted his masters judgment
"Come, let us figure out our next move quickly. We don't have much time."
When they got into the main area, they noticed others there as well. They must be the other competitors! They all immediately caught sight of Jake, who just looked like he was glaring at Gohana. The rest they didn't know, but soon Shin and his partner walked past them. Shin was walking this time however as they made their way over to join everybody.
"No way!" They heard someone shout.
They all looked over and saw who they guessed was the main announcer for the tournament running towards them.
"Oh man, it really is you Jr." he stared up at Piccolo.
Piccolo just looked down confused, before it hit him."
"Oh, yeah. What do you want" he asked, remembering him.
"Oh my I can't begin to tell you how exciting it is to see you again! These past few tournaments have been boooooring compared to your fight with Goku!"
"You saw my dad fighting?"
He looked over and did a double take, even taking his shades off to get a good look.
"No way, you're his daughter! And are the rest of you all in the same group. Huh, Videl?"
"Hello again, I see you're still commentating the tournament!" she said remembering him from her time in the Jr tournament three years ago.
"If you're asking will it be a fight more like what you saw back in the day, probably." Piccolo answered.
"Oh you can't imagine how happy that makes me! Oh and just between us. "He glanced around and leaned in closer, but then paused because of Videl.
"Hey um that whole thing with Cell? That was you guys there right?" He asked looking at Gohana and Piccolo."
"Wait, how do you know they were there?" Sharpener asked confused.
"Think about it. He recognized Piccolo from the old tournaments, and even Gohana because of her dad. He saw ki first hand, of course he'd put two and two together! That how I did!" Videl answered.
"Can all of you fight like that?" he asked astonished, to which everyone just nodded.
"Oh man, this is a gift from the heavens! You can't Imagine how excited I am! Anyway I gotta head over and get everything started with the Jr Division. It was great meeting you Gohana." He quickly shock her hand and then headed off.
"Energetic as always." Piccolo muttered.
"Um, what the heck was that?" LIme asked confused.
"Hey, I don't care. I'm just glad he has experience commentating our type of fights." Gohana said and continued walking.
"Okay, it looks like everyone is here! Now, as you sixteen have made it to the main competition, we will now draw lots to see how the match ups will I could have you all line up, we will begin."
Everyone just got into a line. Gohana glanced down at the others, a few of them looked, strained? There were to who looked like they'd b at any second from anger.. They even looked like they would give Vegeta a runs for his money in that department.
Gohana didn't pay any mind to what anyone prior got. She just saw them pick a ball and that number was where they were. She did notice Jake had gotten 2, so his match was first. When would she fight him? would she even? Lime needed the money now as well so it made it trickier. Videl went before Gohana and she pulled out 7
"Alright, and with that it looks like we have our first match up sent! Videl VS Spopovitch!"
Gohana tried to recall who that was and looked around. She was pretty sure it was that larger angry looking dude. Still, Gohana was pretty sure Videl could easily handle him.
"Mrs., you're up."
"Oh, right! coming!" Gohana was too deep in thought she didn't realize they were waiting on her.
Reaching in, Gohana grabbed a ball and pulled it out and saw it.
"And 1, looks like the first fight of the day will be Jake vs Gohana!"
Jake couldn't help but smirk a little bit, the entire reason he was forced into this mess, he could do it right at the start and get it over with.
Erasa just sat in the stands. She was eager to see everything start and was even making small talk with people along the way. Granted she was really just waiting for the Jr. division to finish. It was so far pretty boring for her. Well even before it would be boring as a fight, but she'd seen Gohana and Videl sparring a few times now and half the time they were moving so fast she couldn't make heads or tails of what she was seeing.
Though right now wasn't too bad actually, a pair of brothers, Ikosa and Idasa were fighting. Whoever won thing would basically win. They did have one more match after this one but even she could tell they would win. Though the crowd was loving it, and she was enjoying more the energy of those around her for the time being.
Erasa relaxed as Idosa finally won, and there was a few minute break to give him a breather before the Jr division finals.
"Can you recall ever seeing such talented kids fighting?" The person next to her asked. They had chatted it up a bit periodically to pass the time.
"Nope, can't say I have!" Erasa technically told the truth.
She had been around Goten and Raina sparring, but she literally couldn't see them, so really she didn't see them.
"You seem really excited for the main event to start." he said noticing she was getting a bit anxious.
"Oh, yeah well my boyfriend and two of our friends are fighting in the tournament today, so I cant wait to see them!"
"Oh, hit damn, do you know if they passed the preliminary?"
"Oh yeah, he texted me not too long ago!" Not that she needed it, it was nice to hear from him at least.
"Well shouldn't be too long then! Just the Jr finals and his spar with Hercule, then the adults division."
"Yeah, curious to see how he handles a match with a kid." she laughed, as she's only ever seen Hercule teacher youngsters, not spar with them.
Gohana sat up against the wall, mostly trying to figure out what to do after fighting Jake. she would fight either this Mighty Mask guy or Shin, whoever won that one. Though she had a gut feeling Shin would be the one she would be facing in round two. But there was something about him she couldn't place. His energy felt, strange yet somehow oddly familiar.
"Gohana, do you have a moment?" Piccolo came up to her.
"Yeah, what's up?" Gohana sat up straight.
"Follow me." He said noticing to many people around them. Piccolo lead Gohana to a less busy spot in the building.
"Earlier, that Shin person, and I believe the larger one is Kabito. What do you feel about them?" he asked.
This is what Gohana had been thinking about earlier, she crossed her arms in thought. She still wasn't even sure. Videl did mention getting a strange vibe from them, so even she could tell something was off.
"He's not from Earth i think " Gohana finally answered.
"Thinking a bit more than that actually" Piccolo smiled at his student.
"You thought the same?" Gohana was surprised as she couldn't quiet place the reasoning she came up with to begin with But if Piccolo also had the same feeling, what does that mean.
"You'd be correct." They heard a voice behind them, and saw Shin floating there again.
"Honestly I am impressed either of you figured it out. Though from the previous guardian of Earth," he turned towards Piccolo, shocking both of them, "It doesn't surprise me you pick up on it. Though you Gohana, I'm even more impressed."
"Cut to the chase then. What do you want on Earth?" Gohana asked.
"Before you answer that, answer me this. Are you the Grand Kai?" Piccolo asked on a hunch.
"Grand Kai?" Gohana asked.
"What? Oh, no I am not the Grand Kai. I am the Supreme Kai."
Piccolo looked in shock at this, Kami's memory would absolutely know about him! Seeing him on Earth, Piccolo immediately got a very bad feeling in the pit of his stomach. Gohana could easily pick up on this from him as well, even though she didn't know what Grand or Supreme Kai meant. Were they like King Kai?
"What do you want?" Gohana repeated more seriously this time, the shift in Piccolo also now worrying her!
"Honestly Gohana, we need your help."
"Huh? My help?" Gohana pointed to herself. What would a Kai need her help for?
"I can't say much right now, too many ears. But we will need your help. And if possible your friends help as well." he dropped the weirdly friendly attitude and sounded more serious now, though still very calm.
"Okay, with what." Gohana repeated.
"We need your help to save not just Earth, but the entire universe."
Gohana and Piccolo were both now on edge.
"I promise I'll explain everything in time. But Gohana, when we fight I'll need you to transform. I'll explain more then." He glanced over looking annoyed, Gohana noticing and glanced over Spopovitch and that other dude with him. Like they were trying to ease drop.
Shin wasted no more time and walked off. He said what he needed to get their adjusted plan moving. Rounding the corner, he rejoined Kabito.
"Weren't you intended to tell them?" he asked.
"Yes but thanks to a certain pair of eavesdroppers, I couldn't say anymore for the moment. Kabito, I want you to be ready to move, at a moments notice."
Gohana and Piccolo made their way back towards the others, neither of them saying anything. Both were in thought about what just happened. And both looked worried.
"What do you think?" Gohana asked finally.
"I won't argue about what the Supreme Kai says. When you face him, go Super Saiyan. Though I have no idea why. This may explain that weird feeling I had about being here."
"You think we should tell the others?"
"I don't know. I think we need to find out more about this. Besides we can always use our emergency signal."
Gohana looked over to her friends.
"What about them?" Gohana was worried now.
"I think it's fair to at least give them a heads up. Especially Lime as she can actually fight."
Videl noticed both of them staring in their direction, and for some reaspn it worried her. She couldn't tell why or how. But she got up and went over to them.
"Gohana, are you okay?" she asked worried.
Gohana looked back up to Piccolo and then back to her, and just sighed.
"Come on, I'll explain to everyone." She headed over to Lime and Sharpner.
Gohana explained everything she could, which admittedly wasn't much. But she didnt want to keep them in the dark. It was weird trying to explain to them what a Kai was. Though even herself she didn't fully grasp it, she knew about it. Piccolo filled them in on why this was so serious. Their faces couldn't hide their shock.
"Have you gotten a hold of Vegeta yet?" Lime asked.
"No, but I am considering it." Gohana looked worried, still so in the dark about stuff right now.
"For now I think we should make a panic over this until we find out more." Piccolo spoke up.
"Can we help?" Sharpner asked a bit nervously.
"You and Videl need to stay out of this for now. Neither of you are strong enough to be useful, and may just be a liability. Instead stay back in case we need you to do something you can do" he was bluntly honest.
Videl looked absolutely hurt at that, but she first hand understood just how powerful they were! And she had become far more aware how small she was in terms of power.
"Videl! You're fighting Spopovitch, I want you to not hold back." Piccolo spoke up
"Wait, why?" she asked confused.
"Just a feeling. Something's not right with him, and I think he may be involved.
Videl turned to Gohana who had a serious look on her face. How did a simple tournament already turn into something like this before it even started?
"Alright folk, and there you have it! Give a big round of applause for Idosa!" the announcer enthusiastically shouted into his microphone as the crowd went wild.
Despite it being a fun mini match, Hercule had been impressed with him! Obviously he didn't stand a chance against him, but he was still impressed none the less.
"You fought well kid, you got a lot of potential!" he said looking down at the blond haired kid.
"Ha, you got the right! And one of these days I'll be stronger than you!" he boasted.
"That's the spirit kid! Don't ever lose that!" Hercule held his fist out to him, Idasa just smirking and fist bumped Hercule back.
"Alright ladies and gentlemen, and with the the Jr. division officially comes to and end! But don't go Anywhere folks! Cuz in just ten minutes we will begin the adult division! And for our first match up!" He threw his microphone like a cheerleader before catching it.
"Gohana vs Jake!"
"Wow, Their fighting right off the bat?" Erasa said under her breath.
It took a while for the crowd to calm down, but it also didn't matter too much at the current moment anyway. The staff was just quickly sweeping away the confetti from the arena stage.
Gohana looked worried, she was standing were they were supposed to wait. She couldn't get it out of her head what Shin, the Supreme Kai, had told them. The Earth was in danger? Not to mention the universe? Her arms crossed deep in thought, she didn't even realize Jake had been standing next to her waiting as well. Though he left her alone.
"Alright folk, you've been waiting three years for today and today you've waited long enough. So lets get this started!"
The crowds cheers helped Gohana get out of her own head. Looking up she noticed it was about to start. Looking over at Jake, it was hard to believe she only joined this to fight him, but now it was almost like he didnt matter.
"Will The first two contestants, Jake and Gohana, please enter the ring!"
Jake purposely shoulder checked Gohana as he walked ahead of her, Gohana following behind him as well.
"Jake here has won many smaller fighting tournaments over the years, and is an exceptionally talented fighter. But don't let that make you feel sorry for his opponent! Even though this is her first tournament, her own father used to fight in this very ring years ago!"
The crowd was very loud in cheering their support to everyone. Gohana finally really noticed it and just looked all around. She was starting o become a little embarrassed, but it wasn't really that bad. Honestly a part if her was kinda enjoying being in the ring. They both soon were in the middle of the ring, and the announcer made his way over to the side where he had been commenting prior.
"Alright, are both fighter's ready?" he asked.
"I hope you know i don't intend to hold back." Jake glared at her as he got into his stance, Gohana just shrugging and stood there.
"And let the first match, begin!"
A lout gong was struck, and Jake wasted no time in immediately going after Gohana in a flurry of punches and kicks. Gohana however just dodged everything. Jake noticed this just like last time, and suddenly switched not just his strategy, but his style as well.
Pretending to throw a punch, Jake quickly swung his leg at Gohana's face, the punch being a decoy. Gohana raised her arm to block his strike. Jake was surprised she could block that at such a fast rate!
'She moves like that fucking bastard Crane, of course she can block it!'
He kept throwing actual strikes, and throwing some feints as well, hoping any of them would get past him.
"Well at least you learned a new style." Gohana gave him credit.
"Oh fuck you, it's because the hell I went through because of you!"
He started throwing nothing but feints the entire time, realizing he wouldn't hit her with a regular strike, so trying a surprise was his best bet. But Gohana still just blocked them all with ease.
"Oh wow, right off the bat its a flurry of attacks from Jake. But it doesn't seem like anything is making contact as Gohana is expertly blocking everything! Hard enough with regular blows, let alone this!
"Stop blocking and just fight me!" Jake threw a powerful angry punch, and Gohana just jumped back a bit to avoid it.
"Well, even I'll admit you've improved pretty well." Gohana did have to give him credit where it was due.
This just further annoyed him. He was visibly getting more angry by the second.
"Ggaaahhhhh, I won't let all that hell be for nothing!" He raised his pointer and middle finger into a gun and shot a ki blast right at Gohana.
Gohana didnt expect a ki blast from him and was caught off guard. The blast barely missed as Gohana as she dodged to the side, and was surprised when it impacted the wall behind her it destroyed it.
"Shit, that cant hits the stands! How did he learn to use ki?"
"You like that huh? That's not the only trick I can do! You ain't seen nothing yet!" Jake vanished from sight.
"No, way. Not only did we just see Jake shoot something from his fingers, but he suddenly just vanished!"
Gohana jumped back a bit and then lifted up her leg. The crowd watched in confusion as it looked like she was just doing weird movements! But where did the other one go?
"Its been years since I've seen this folks, but it appears Jake can move faster than we can see. But that doesn't seem to matter much as Gohana I believe is just dodging these high speed attacks!"
Gohana twisted her torso a bit and then brought her left arm straight out to her side, as Jake suddenly became visible again to everyone as it looked like he was cloths lined. Gohana took a few steps away as Jake got up holding his face. His mouth and nose were bleeding from that hit and the pain was intense.
'No, how can she still counter everything I do? Was everything my father forced me through for nothing?"
"You wanted to try proving in front of everyone, well looks like your proving I can still beat you Jake." Gohana taunted him.
"Shut up! Shut up shut up shut the fuck up!" Jake screamed as he rushed Gohana again.
Pushing his ki into his forearm, he formed a ki blade and just started swinging it wildly at Gohana. But Gohana just avoided them easily still!
"No way, Jake can use ki? Since when?" Sharpner was in shock, having missed the first ki blast. The noise was what brought him over to watch.
"Probably recently, or somewhat. He doesn't feel like he has super great control over it. His power is wildly sporadic." Lime said.
"Do you think we should worry?" Videl asked, worried about everyone at school.
Lime knew she was referring to at school. And especially with this being live broadcasted to the world, the entire school will know! Well they already did!
"Why cant I fucking hit you!" Jake swing so hard the ki blade hit the ground, causing it to break.
"Jake, how did you learn to do that?" Gohana asked worried, and Jake noticed this.
"Oh scared now that you see what I can do? I was forced through hell to do this, that's where."
"I get it. You hate me, but it's clear you cant even hit me. Just give up."
Jake rushed towards Gohana but instead of throwing a punch, he grabbed Gohana and started swinging her around to try and grapple her to the ground. Gohana had let him try something but easily caught herself with her arms now standing on her hands. With her legs she grabbed a hold of Jakes and forced him to flip over and land hard onto his back. Getting back to her feet, Gohana stood over Jake.
"Just give up Jake!" she asked him again.
He shot a ki blast up towards her, but Gohana just moved out of the way.
"This doesn't seem to be just any regular match folks! If I'm hearing correctly, this is a grudge match between these two! But which one will come out on top? Jake has yet to land a single hit on Gohana, and she always has the upper hand on him!"
Jake continued to try anything he could to even hit her. But his anger was starting to get to him. He quickly shot another ki blast at her, but Gohana just moved out of the way without thinking.
"Jake I told you thats-!" Gohana almost forgot, the crowd!
The crowd barely had time to react when Gohana quickly shot her own ki blast at it. Hers being much faster, it hit the ball dead center and exploded. The crowd was surprised by a sudden explosion and were screaming at it. As the dust settled, they saw Gohana with her hand held out.
'Shit, this is being televised as well!' Gohana realizing shes on camera using ki.
"Now way, it seems that not just Jake can do these thing, but Gohana as well!"
"No way, that explains it! You can use your ki!" Jake put two and two together.
Gohana just sighed in annoyance and turned to face him.
"How can you use it so haphazardly! There are people around! Stop putting them in danger!"
"If it means Im done with this hell then I don't give a shit about anyone else!"
He started blasting ki blasts wildly at Gohana, although this time she didn't dodge them, she made sure to hit them all upward to they would harmlessly avoid everything.
Shooting a few at the ground in front of Gohana, he cause a giant dust cloud around her. Gohana covered her eyes so the dust and debris didn't get into her eyes, before feeling the ki blasts coming from above her now. Gohana quickly speed out from the dust, appearing several feet away from it. Jake was shocked by this and aimed for where she was now, but Gohana easily moved again.
'He can fly too?' Gohana noticed quickly, and realizing he will become only more desperate! She had to end this.
Quickly appearing next to Jake in the sky, he looked horrified when she was right next to him. She could even do this? With one leg up in the air, Gohana slammed her foot downward into him. Jake speed towards the ring before suddenly stopping himself mid air, but she wasn't there anymore when he quickly looked back. Jake suddenly felt his leg being pulled from under him, as Gohana from below grabbed him and threw him to the ring. Gohana landed right next to him as he was in pain on the ground.
"It's over Jake." She grabbed him and threw him towards the edge.
Jake quickly managed to float to avoid hitting of bounds, but before he could react Gohana was over his chest and slammed her feet down, using the momentum to land back in the ring as Jake slammed into the grass.
"And Jake is out of bounds! Gohana advances to the second round!" he announced as the crowd went wild.
Gohana jumped off the ring and walked towards Jake, who just repeatedly kept pounding the grass, making a noticeable imprint. Not noticeable enough to everyone, but Gohana could see it.
"Jake, your father forced you through this training, didnt he?" she asked, remembering his outburst at school on Monday.
Jake just looked down and Gohana was caught of guard, he was crying.
"It wont end. It will be worse now because I couldn't beat you. It's only going to get worse."
Gohana was starting to actually feel sorry for him.
"You promised to leave everyone alone if I beat you, now tell me where you learned to use ki!"
Jake was looking annoyed but felt he should tell her. She clearly was his superior by a vast margin! He looked down, dejected and utterly humiliated.
"I was trained by-."
Jake was cut short as Gohana grabbed a ki blast aimed straight at him, the crowd gasping with shock from it. She crushed the ki in her hand and looked over, having felt its source she honed in on it and her eyes quickly flickered to teal for a moment from anger.
Faster than anyone else could even register, Gohana quickly got to the one who shot it and threw him right at Jake's feet. To everyone else it just looked like some old man suddenly appeared and tripped.
"What the hell, how dare you, you insolent brat." he spat at Gohana as he stood up.
"Hey wait a minute, what the heck is going on here?" the announcer asked noticing the situation as did everyone else see Jake almost killed just now.
"Mind your tongue or you're next!" he screamed
Videl froze from seeing the Crane hermit there. Her mind flashed to the bank! He tortured her, she could still remember the pain he forced on her! Even though the site healed without even a scar, the sites he blasted her started to burn from remembering.
"Even after all of that you still can't even beat a single girl! You're worthless, now die!" He shot a Dodonpa right at Jake point blank. The crowd screamed as another explosion shook everyone, as the cloud of dust clearing where Jake was.
Gohana hit the back of his neck to knock him out instantly, as he fell to the ground. Gohana just picked him up and took him to the security section. She figured he would be out cold for a while anyway, so just take him somewhere that we wouldn't bother them for a bit. Hopefully ever.
"Can you explain just what happened." The announcer was behind Gohana, but had his mic turned off in his pocket.
"This man just tried to kill someone and I saved them." Was all Gohana said.
Taking a good look at him, he thought he recognized him! He saw him during one of the tournaments! Though he didn't quiet remember his name, he remembers him being embarrassed twice!
"I'll be waiting for my next round and checking on Jake." Gohana told him and headed off to the competitors building.
"Well alright folk, that was a bit of a unorthodox first round, but I assure you all parties are safe and just fine. And with that, let's get started on the next round!"
Gohana entered the building, passing Mighty Mask and Shin as she entered, they were about to fight. She went to where she had placed Jake from the blast, and saw him just curled up and shaking. She walked over to him, even Videl was trying to calm him down.
Kneeling down, Gohana could tell Crane had indeed put him through a lot.
"Jake, I took care if him, you're safe now."
He looked up and just stared at her.
"I'm not safe! Not from him! What makes you think you're safe from him?"
"Because the only reason he's still alive is because I haven't killed him already."
As morbid as that sounded, for some reason Jake had a intense urge that she was telling the truth. But he didnt know why, nor care. He still hated her!
"Jake, I don't like you, but I will not stand by and let him kill you either!"
Standing up Gohana just stayed there for a bit, not even sure what to say.
"Why? Why save me after everything I've done!"
"You're an asshole Jake , but not a bad guy. There's a difference. " Gohana calmly answered and walked off to try coming down.
Only one match in, she showed off ki, and flight. Gohana had hoped this would just be a simple few matches and then forfeit. But already the first match had already exposed way too much! Though it already had slowly been leaking from Satan City, she knew this would only accelerate it becoming public if it had not already blown it wide open!
And seeing Shin walk back in victoriously, she remembered the next fight she would have to go Super Saiyan. Even though she didnt want to, her gut instincts told her he was telling the truth, as did Piccolo's. He had given her a very brief rundown on the Kai levels, and that only had reinforced how serious a situation this was with Shin here in the first place. If there really was a threat to Earth, her own feelings had to be set aside so she could fight to protect everyone, or there wouldn't be a home anymore. She sat down against the floor and hugged her legs to her chest, resting her forehead on her knees.
"Gohana."
She looked up and saw Shin standing there.
"If we had other means of handling this we would. We prefer not involving mortals in matters like this, but you are the universes best chance."
Standing up, Gohana looked down at Shin, being reasonably taller than him.
"Just promise me one thing!" She looked determined.
"And what is it?"
"If we get through this alive, I want you to take me to other world!"
"May I ask why?"
Gohana looked down and a tear started forming at her eyes, but she didn't wipe them away. She just smiled and clutched near her heart.
"I have someone to apologize for putting them in there."
Shin looked up at Gohana and smiled. He had indeed read her mind earlier. He knew who she was talking to.
"I can't promise I can take you, but I can promise to pass the message."
Gohana already thought her request was a long shot and she wasn't banking on it happening. But knowing she could at least apologize, even by messenger, the possibility of that helped lift a slight weight from her heart.
"Now, can you tell me what's happening? Gohana asked.
"Alright folk, we've had an explosive first round to start if this years Tournament. And while the next two matches may have ended rather anticlimactically, I'm sure this next one is sure to thrill you! We have Spopovich, whom you may recall from last year as the runner up having lost to Hercule! And his opponent who needs no introduction, is none other than Videl Satan herself!
The crowd cheered loudly. Many signs for Videl were being held up as they cheered her on. Videl heard her name and started making her way over to enter the ring before Gohana stopped her.
"Oh hey, is everything alright?" she asked worried.
"Videl, dont hold back against him! Get him out of the ring as soon as you can!" Gohana tried saying as calmly as she could.
Videl could tell though something was up and she was trying to not make her worry. But she was worried a little bit.
"Hey, I'll be fine. You're training me after all, right?" Videl gave her a thumbs up.
This did help Gohana feel a bit better. Shin hadn't really given Gohana a sense of how strong they were, only the main threat. Gohana was just worried now more than anything and didn't want to take any chances!
"Will Videl please come to the stage?"
"Oh, I have to go, but I'll be fine." Videl got on her tiptoes and kissed Gohana before heading out.
Shin arrived next to Gohana. He wanted to see how Videl did against Spopovich as well.
Videl ran quickly to the center of the ring to join Spopovich to get the round started.
"Sorry, got caught up."
"No worries, but now that both contestants are here, lets get started." He quickly glt to tje edge and hopped down.
"And Begin!"
Videl quickly guarded as Spopovich launched an all out assault on her. Videl almost flinched seeing his massive size launching at her, but she quickly noticed when she guarded that his blows didn't seem that powerful despite his size.
Videl deflected the next punch thrown at her and quickly elbowed him hard in the stomach, sending him backwards a decent ways. But he just coughed up some blood and stood up before spitting it out. Without missing a beat he launched himself back at Videl throwing numerous punches, but Videl was able to easily dodge them all. Gohana warned her about him, but so far from what she had seen, he was nothing! Definitely stronger than the average person for sure! But did she really need to worry about him?
Gohana watched from the sideline, honestly having also expected more from him. But she could tell Videl really had barely even warmed up! She looked over at Shin, was this guy really a threat? Shin looked on though, and he looked amazed that Videl was holding her own so well.
"Well, you certainly did a fine job at training her." he said.
'Wait, how does he know I'm training Videl?'
"Do you think he's holding back?" she asked.
"Its not that he's holding back that worries me. While under this spell, the person becomes stronger and more vicious. He wont stop at killing her to get what he wants if she doesn't finish it soon. Unless she completely out powers him that is. It is difficult to gauge someone's true strength in this state."
Videl dodged a kick by jumping over it, but used his leg as a post and slammed her own foot into his face, sending him flying.
'Its like he isn't bothered by my attacks.'
Spopopvich was tired of toying around and quickly charged Videl again. Videl got ready to counter him but instead he shot a ki blast point blank at her. Videl hadn't expected this and wasn't fully ready. She took the blast head on instead.
"No way, it seems as if Spopovich can also do the same thing as contestants Gohana and Jake! Whao folks, you sure have a great tournament this year ahead of you!"
Spopovich just smirked as the dust started clearing from his blast, but was shocked when Videl came into view with just some scuff marks on her cloths and nothing else.
"My turn!" Videl smirked.
Videl thrust her arm over her head before blasting forward her own ki blast. Videl made sure to only use enough strength to not kill him, and also aimed it and arched the beam upward to avoid the syands as well. This time when the dust cleared, Spopovich stood there looking worse for ware. He left arm that took the brunt if the attack also looked like it was incredibly damaged. Could he even keep fighting with it?
"Ready to give up?" she asked.
Spopovich didnt answer, and instead tried stomping her due to being nearly three times her just jumped up to avoid him but he quickly grabbed her leg and started slamming her repeatedly into the ground like a ragdoll. He didn't even hold back, causing the ground to become damaged she sunk deeper into the ground with each slam.
"What is he doing!" the announced was at a lose for words, he couldn't technically stop as he could tell Videl was trying to protect her torso and hadn't given up!
Spopovich leg go over her leg and quickly grabbed her by the troat before pulling back and throwing her higj up into the air towards the stands. She would land against the stairs or the benches.
"Oh no, looks like Videl's lost this match! She's going to land in the stands!"
Before Videl hit the stands she stopped herself in the air. She hovered above the crowd and relaxed. But only a little bit.
"Man you look tough but you're really not that strong." Videl did a few arm circles and torso twists before noticing everybody was staring at her floating in the sky.
"My, I would have thought he would be a bigger challenge for a human."
"Well she hasn't exactly been doing the regular human training." Gohana smiled knowing Videl had this easily.
"Time to end this!" Videl surged her energy around her, surprising everyone as they were at a lost at what they were seeing.
Videl surged forward quickly , slamming her elbow into him hard. Spopovich found himself slamming into the wall of the stands and fell to the grass.
"Spopovich is out of bounds! Videl moves onto the next round!"
Spopovich angrily got up and just glared at her. He begrudgingly walked back to his partner, bit glared at Shin as he passed.
Videl soon came up to Gohana and hugged her happily.
"Told you I'd be fine."
Gohana just smiled back at her and hugged her as well. Shin looked and seemed surprised at Videl's strength. Even though se was just a human, she took care of ine of his henchman just fine.
"Im going to go find my dad real quick, tell him how badly i beat him! I'm sure my dad was worried for me." Videl said and went off, knowing where he would be hanging out in a separate area.
Gohana looked back at Shin.
"I know you said these guys were nothing compared to the real thing, but are you sure they're that bad?"
"Yes, had Videl not had training from you I fear she could have died."
Videl already had too many actual close calls with death the last few months, a theoretical on if she wasn't trained didn't sound good.
"So, just transform and let them steal my energy. Still doesn't explain much. But you're sure its the only way to find them?"
"Yes, we only know they are on the planet but not where. And Spopovich and Yamu are the ones we need to follow for the real threat. Im sure your friends will join us as well. I'll explain more of everything then."
Gohana just nodded and decided to watch the rest ot the fights in the first round of fights. Piccolo, Lime and Sharpner all faced regular folks and made short work of them. She was more worried about her match with Shin. She considered calling everyone but when she thought about it, they did say they'd at least watch it. Maybe seeing what happens would be enough?
There were too many questions she had in her mind, too many unknowns. But one of the main thoughts in her head was she was glad she kept up with her training. She couldn't imagine how badly she would be freaking out if she had gotten lazy!
"You alright?" Piccolo asked as he came up to her.
"Oh...Yeah just my fight with Shin coming up."
"I know, I overheard. Still cant believe he wont tell us what's truly going on. If I had to guess its to stay under cover from those two."
"So you don't think he's maliciously holding anything back?"
"No, I think him telling you anything already was a big risk. But still, as much as I hate it you being bait, I still trust him for some reason."
Gohana just nodded and took a deep breath. She wasn't looking forward to this! Her match with Shin was about to start and her heart was racing.
"Gohana, do you have any second thoughts?" Shin asked stepping up next to her.
"No, I wont back down just because I'm nervous!" Gohana looked determined.
They waited a little bit until they heard their names and they both headed towards the arena. Gohana looked back a bit and could sense those two watching. It looked like they were looking at something as well. Gohana put it out of her mind. At least this time she had a heads up.
"Gohana, are you ready?" Shin asked.
"Fighters, begin!"
"So, just regular Super Saiyan, huh? Don't know why not level 2 but okay." Gohana got into a stance.
"There's a level 2!?"
Gohana surged her ki around her as she powered up into Super Saiyan. She didn't even fully power up, but she did power up a lot.
"No...way...you have this much power?" Shin was in utter shock at Gohana's power.
Spopovich was staring in shock at the power reader. He could barely form words either before the device exploded in his hands.
"Yeah, that's the one for sure!"
Shin looked almost terrified! How can a mortal have this much power? And she claimed this was nothing? He quickly noticed Yamu and Spopovich going for Gohana and nodded at her.
Gohana felt them behind her as well and braced for whatever they'd do steal her energy, but a sharp piercing hot sensation shot through the side of her torso. Gohana couldn't move from the pain, not that it mattered as Spopovich was grappling her, and she wasn't actually trying to get away. She had to bear with it for now! If Shin was right, the entire universe was in danger and she didn't want to be the cause of not finding and stopping them!
Gohana soon feel from Super Saiyan, and could barely keep her eyes open anymore. He skin was getting pale, as they let her go Gohana just fell to her knees and then the floor.
"Wait, what just happened? You both are herby removed from this tournament! Medic, we need a medic at the arena!" the announcer started shouting.
Videl and Lime quickly ran to Gohana, Videl in tears. They ignored the two of them flying off somewhere , they were too worried about Gohana. Piccolo and Kabito soon followed behind them
"Gohana, are you okay? Say something?" Videl shook Gohana who struggled to breath.
"Kabito, fix up Gohana and then catch up. Im going to follow them." Shin said and then chased after them.
Kabito went over to Gohana and pushed aside the medical workers who were freaking out over the stab wound. Videl and Lime knew better though and just let him do, well whatever we was about to do. Kneeling down, he placed a hand on Gohanas back and soon they were both surrounded by a white aura. Gohana's wound closed up, as color returned to her skin. Though she was still woozy, Kabito kept trying to heal her.
'Incredible, she has this much power?'
Kabito soon finished, and Gohana got to her hands and knee, reflexively grabbing where she got stabbed.
"Damn it, that hurt! You could have warned me they'd drain my energy by stabbing me at least!"
"Sorry, we only knew they would steal it, not how." Kabito apologized
"Gohana, you knew you would be attacked?" Lime asked in confusion.
"Yeah, Shin told me at least that much and why. Though I dont know all the details. Anyway, shouldn't we go chase after them?" Gohana asked Kabito.
"Yes. I sense your friend Piccolo has ready caught up. If you're coming then lets go." He flew off towards Shin.
Gohana rose into the sky, with Lime and Videl following.
"Hey wait, where are you all going?" The announcer asked even as they were already put of view.
"Oh man, and I thought this tournament would be fun.
Gohana followed Kibito close, Lime right next to her as well. Though Videl was struggling a bit more, she was keeping up still.
"So, care to fill us in more?" Gohana asked.
"Sorry we couldn't explain more earlier. In fact our original plan didnt involve telling you anything until afterwards." he started.
"Wait, then how come Shin told me anything at all?" Gohana was confused
"After that initial brief meeting with you, he sensed it would be better for our success if you at least had a heads up. And its Supreme Kai, not Shin. Thats just a name he used for this tournament."
"Oh right, Sorry he just told me to call him Shin. So what exactly are we facing?" she asked.
"An ancient being known as Majin Buu. Pure evil in physical form. We must stop his resurrection at all cost! Or else this universe is done."
Lime and Videl both looked worried now. Then again so did Gohana. She couldn't help but be worried about everyone! About Videl!
"We need to go faster! they're just getting farther away."
"You Guys go on ahead! I think I'll just get in the way." Videl spoke up.
Gohana slowed down a little bit to get right next to her.
"Sorry, but you're right. You're really strong now and I know you can handed yourself! But for a fight like this..." Gohana said, hoping Videl wouldn't be offended.
"Hey, its alright. I get it. I'm not going to be helpful in a situation like this. And you cant have me as a distraction either." Gohana just nodded, glad that she was so understanding.
"Just promise me you'll be back though! I cant have my girlfriend dying on me!" Videl said and got closer to kiss her cheek.
"Yeah I promise."
Videl slowed down and soon stopped, watching as the three of them suddenly speed off even faster. Videl had a weird pressure building up around her heart as she clutched her chest. She knew Gohana was training for something like this , but still, the thought of loseing her made her feel dead.
"Come back to me Gohana. I cant marry a ghost." She blushed.
Instead of making her way back to the tournament ground, made her way towards Capsule Corp knowing Chichi and the kids were there with Bulma watching the tournament.
It didn't take long for everyone to catch up with Supreme Kai and Piccolo once they went faster. They even started going a bit faster to catch up to Yamu and Spopovich.
"Good, you caught up pretty fast!" he said with a smile.
"Yeah, now can you fill us in on what's going on? And who were those guy's that attacked Gohana?" Lime asked.
Before he could answer, Shin looked back suddenly worried.
"No, do they have backup?"
Gohana glanced back and felt what she assumed he was picking up and just smiled.
"Nah, reinforcements are on their way."
"Oh more allies? Good will need all the help we can get. I'll explain once they get here!"
None of the fighters seemed to mind that as an answer. They would just have to start over or repeat everything anyway so just waiting until they got back just made sense.
Eventually Vegeta and Krillin came into view behind them and quickly made their way to catching up.
"You mind explaining just what the hell was that brat?" Vegeta barked without missing a beat.
"What part?" Gohana asked, not sure what part he was asking about.
"The part about going Super Saiyan on live TV for the whole fucking world to see!" Vegeta screamed.
Krillin got close to Gohana and handed her a senzu bean.
"Thought you might need this after what happened."
Gohana happily took it and ate it. Yeah Kabito had healed the wound and recovered some of her energy, but she knew she wasn't at full strength. And with this bean, problem solved! She even felt the usual slight energy boost.
"Sorry to keep you all in the dark." Shin said.
"And who the hell is this?" Vegeta demanded to know.
"Watch your tongue Vegeta! That's the Supreme Kai!" Piccolo yelled at him.
Vegeta was so thrown off he actually fell back behind them a little bit quickly caught back up.
"What the hell is the Supreme Kai doing on Earth!" Vegeta yelled, now worried, but mostly angry.
"Long ago, a being named Majin Buu was rampaging through the universe. Indiscriminately destroying entire civilizations and planets. Entire Solar systems were being wiped out. Controlling this creature was a wizard named Bibadi."
"Okay, so how's that effecting us now?" Gohana asked.
"We managed to ambush Bibidi and seal Majin Buu away. We placed him here on Earth millennia ago as it was an out if the way planet back then. But we just learned that Bibadi had a son name Babadi. And he's probably worse than his father. And worse yet, he knows how to release Majin Buu."
Everyone was in shock, none of them really had any idea what to say.
"What makes this Majin Buu so much of a threat? He can destroy planets , so what? Even these two earthlings here could do that!" Vegeta wasn't impressed.
"His power is immeasurable, and the chaos he brings is like nothing anyone can imagine. He is pure chaos and we can't let him become freed."
"So how does them stealing my energy have to do with this?" Gohana asked.
"They need to gather enough energy to release the seal."
'Shit, I guess its good I didn't seriously power up then!' Gohana thought.
"What do you mean by that Gohana?" Shin asked, visibly confusing her.
"Huh? I didn't say anything." She said confused.
"Its clear he can read minds you dolt." Vegeta bashed her.
"Oh, I was saying that it's a good thing I didn't seriously power up than if my energy would have been used to release him.
"Gohana, you mentioned earlier a 2. What did you mean by that?"
"Oh Super Saiyan 2. It's the level beyond a Super Saiyan. You just asked to see Super Saiyan, so that's what you saw. And I wasn't even really powered up all too much. And 2 is way more powerful."
They had this much power? How could they have missed that? They checked the planet and didnt find anything that was close to the supposed power Gohana was claiming they had. Though they can control their ki. It was entirely possible that when they were scouting out the planet they just weren't powered up.
"What's done is done. Lets focus on the now. Supreme Kai, what's the plan?" Piccolo said.
"Well right now we have to follow them to the ship. We couldn't find it because its masked woth magic so we cant just find it that way. And its underground so spotting it wouldn't happen either."
"And that's why you had to let them successfully get away with Gohana's energy." Lime spoke.
"Exactly. They will lead us right to their base and from there we can jump Babadi and stop him before he can awaken him."
They continued to follow them for a while until felt them come to a stop. Since they were not that far behind them, they would arrive very soon. Flying lower so they wouldn't be spotted as easily. Once they arrived they saw a mountain range they can use for cover to try and get a vantage point.
They suppressed their ki to avoid detection. They were out in the middle of nowhere, But Gohana saw a farm not to far from them, and she could see the people torn alart out front.
'Damn it, those animals!' Gohana ws getting angry.
"There he is!" Shin tensed a little bit. Everyone looked on as they saw what looked like, a walking potato? He looked so shriveled up, wrinkly yellowish brownish skin. This was who Shin was so worried about. Some grey and black looking being stepped out with him as well. And soon after, large pink man dressed in blue.
"What? No? why is Dabura here?" Shin asked in confusion.
"Dabura? Who's that?" Lime asked what everyone was thinking.
"He's the Lord of the Demon realm. Oh no, if Babadi got a hold of him then were doomed!"
"Master, here is the energy we gathered for you." Yamu knelt down and handed Babadi the energy container.
"Ah yes, excellent. Where's the meter that I gave you as well?"
"It broke, when the one we stole from her power broke it."
"Her? Wait you mean to tell me you only stole from one person?" he was getting angry.
"Ah yes master. But her power was immense. It should be more than enough for Majin Buu."
Babadi was annoyed and grinding his teeth. How could they come bacm from just one victim? They were to bring back enough energy! Still, if they said she broke the meter than it should be a devent amount.
"Very well. You both have served me well. Though I'm afraid I no longer have any use for you."
Both of them looked shocked at this and didn't know what he meant by that. BuKaSpopovich soon screamed out in pain as his body started to swell up uncontrollably. It wasn't long until his body exploded everywhere, filling Yamu with fear.
Yamu, not wanting to die, speed off as fast as he could.
"Pui pui, please take care of the trash will you?"
"Oh it will be my pleasure!" he quickly aimed at Yamu and let out a blast.
Yamu could feel the energy creeping up on him and got scared as he tried flying even faster. But the ki blast soon got to him anyway, instantly destroying his body.
"No way, how could he do that to his own men?" Krillin looked terrified.
"So do we jump him now?" Vegeta asked.
"No, not yet we have to make sure we can successfully grab it. Besides there's still one more there with him."
They all looked but didnt see anyone. Did he mean inside the ship?
"I dont sense anyone else." Piccolo pointed out.
"They're definitely there, hes just in the entryway door. You should sense him once he steps out."
"Oh well, just one girls energy. Cant be that much if its just one but oh well! We can ways go hunting for some more. Besides we have some uninvited guests. Dabura, please go and give our friend the Supreme Kai and his little party a warm welcome?"
"Actually, do you think I could go up and say hello?"
Babadi turned back to the ship annoyed.
"I literally just asked Dabura to do it. Why should I send you?"
"Well, you said you need more energy. And I guarantee you that you can make it up with them! Besides, I assure you I can riled them up way more than this sorry excuse of a demon lord can." he mocked Dabura.
"Listen you little bug, we didnt revive you from Hell so you could insult me? We-"
"Actually Dabura I quiet like the idea of getting their energy. And if he can get them to follow than all the better."
Dabura looked a bit dejected but just sighed and glared back at him.
"As you wish master."
"Alright, you go ahead and have some fun! Just make sure they follow you."
Shin and the others just just watched from the cliffs. They were still getting over watching him blow up his own men!
"Alright, we need to figure out how to get to Babadi and stop him."
"But what's stopping the others from completing it?" Krillin asked.
"Luckily for us, Babadi is the only wizard. So we take him out, we take out the threat of Majin Buu."
"Look, somethings happening." Lime interrupted him.
Everyone looked over and saw Babadi enter the doorway as someone was about to walk out, though they couldn't tell who it was. As Shin got a good look at Dabura, Dabura looked right at him and just smiled at him.
"They know where here!" Piccolo shouted, expecting an attack from Dabura.
Everyone suddenly got ready, expecting Dabura to attack them. They heard a oddly familiar zipping sound above them and looked up, and every one of them froze in shock. Gohana looked up, her eyes twitching as her black hair stood on end.
"Hello again everybody. It's so nice to see you again after these years." He smiled as he bowed, enjoying the shock on their faces.
He quickly moved in front of Kabito and shot his ki point blank at Kibito. He was surprised to see Gohana quickly appear in front of him and hit his hand away and taking the ki blast herself. Her face was full of rage.
"Good, I see you've gotten faster." he teleported a decent way away from him as Gohana took a wild swing at him and missed. But he was still close enough to casually chat.
"Now now, we must not spoil the fun. If you want to stop Master Babadi you're going to have to get through me first. Now be good little group of fighters and follow me inside." He placed two fingers on his forehead and vanished
Everyone took a bit of time to calm down, but they were coming out from that shock. Even Vegeta had been to in shock to move! And he didnt honestly blame Krillin or Lime either! Good thing Gohana's instincts kicked in or Kabito would have been killed.
Gohana was floating there trembling with rage as her pupils were dilated. Lime quickly snapped her out of it by placing a hand on her shoulder. Gohana let go of her tensed breathing a bit, and was a bit more present now.
"Hey, Kai! Why the fuck didn't you mention he could resurrect the dead!?" Vegeta screamed at Shin right in his face.
"We didnt know he could! Or at least we didnt know he had the knowledge. You've fought that thing before?" Shin asked confused, very thrown off by how weird its energy had felt! He couldn't get a solid read on what his energy even was! It was like it was multiple kis.
"How the hell is he alive! Cell...You should be dead." Gohana growled under her breath. Gohana just trembled with anger as she reached up and held onto the scar on her left shoulder.
