Jaune Arc / Cardin Winchester

Ozpin, a body hopping immortal wizard, and Headmaster to the esteemed Beacon Academy; was locked into an ageless shadow war with Salem; a being capable of controlling the greatest threat on the face of Remnant. Discovering one of his "lost" spell books; he feels he had finally found a solution. However he was very much out of practice, and the final result was not what he had envisioned.

/=/

Ozpin knew he was in trouble. Why? Because he heard Glynda's scream of indignation from the other side of Beacon's campus. He had no idea why she was upset, he just knew she was upset with him. So like any sane man would do when faced with the full wrath of the scariest teacher on Beacon's staff, he hid. Mind you his choice of hiding spot wasn't the most original, but in hindsight it was really the only place to hide in his expansive clockwork decorated office.

Curled up under his desk, he heard the ding of the elevator arriving, followed by the swish of the doors opening. How Glynda managed to make the click of her heels against the floor; sound so threatening was beyond him, but she did. He pulled his legs closer to his chest. He had the vainest of hopes that she would think he wasn't in his office and would leave; but it was not meant to be.

"Get out from under your desk, before I crush you under it!"

He didn't move. It would be better to be crushed underneath the mahogany monstrosity that was his desk, then to face Glynda when she was in a mood.

"Ozpin!"

"He's not here right now, if you care to leave a message I'll make sure he gets it."

"Enough games. Get OUT from under the desk Ozpin!"

"Professor?" came a wavering voice that Ozpin could almost place.

"Jaune. Cardin, please take a seat on the couch. We will get this straightened out, as soon as the coffee drinking coward that caused this mess stops trying to make a fool out of his position as Headmaster!"

Ozpin was a little less worried about his eminent demise, now knowing that there were possible witnesses, though the thought that Glynda would just yeet them all out a window into the Emerald Forest; and then call it a day, did skip through his mind. Slowly knowing he only had one final card to play in order to possibly escape, Ozpin crawled out from under his desk, and slowly stood. He prepared his "I'm not Ozpin I'm his twin cousin Ozpan" defence only to have the words choke in his throat as he saw two young women seated on his office couch, with the form of Ms. Nikos standing just to the side of them.

He was positive Glynda had said Cardin and Jaune. But he was also one hundred percent sure that the miserable blond and orange haired girls were not those specific male students.

"Care to explain?" Glynda asked, her green eyes glowing with displeasure.

"Explain?"

"Yes. Explain."

"Explain what?" Ozpin was at a loss. He really didn't know what Glynda wants from him. Yes he had been playing with a spell from an old spell book he had rediscovered hidden behind several outdated encyclopedias.

"Them!"

"Ah..." Ozpin looked from the three young women, to Glynda, and then back again. He did this a few more times, before deciding to just focus on the red rage tinted face of Gylnda. "I've got nothing."

"Do you know what you did?"

"Um... no. Nothing comes to mind." Ozpin replied. "Could you be more specific maybe?"

"What were you doing not twenty minutes ago?" Glynda asked.

"Well if you MUST know, I was working on a plan to deal with... um... er" Ozpin turned his attention to the three young women. He did notice the absolute miserable body language of the two seated on the couch; along with the obvious concerned stance Ms. Nikos was in. "... that problem we've been having; and I think I might have found a solution."

Ozpin choked as Glynda snapped out with both her hands, and grabbed him by his collar. The irate, and totally frustrated woman, physically pulled him over his desk, and up to her bespectacled face. He could see the clenching of her jaw muscles, and her flaring nostrils.

"Were you playing around with magic?" she hissed through clenched teeth, low enough to prevent others from hearing her speak to the Headmaster.

"Yes?" Ozpin choked out in a whisper.

"Why?"

"I found a spell. If it works than maybe we can return her to a mortal form."

"Ozpin..."

"Yes?"

"This is ALL your fault, and you are going to find a way to fix this, and fix it now." Glynda growled.

"What's my fault?"

"Jaune and Cardin."

"I don't see Mr. Arc or Mr. Winchester here; so I'm not sure..."

"Oh they are here. They are very much in this room right now." Glynda released her grip on the Headmaster's clothes and let him flop belly first onto his desk. "Jaune, Cardin please come stand next to me."

Ozpin scampered back off his desk to regain his feet. Once back to standing he began to adjust his glasses, only to stop as the two young women who had been seated upon the couch; rose and shuffled forward.

"Oh..." Ozpin groaned as the implications finally dawned on him, "Ah... well this is... interesting?"

"Interesting." Glynda growled, "Interesting you say? You know what will be interesting?"

"Ah... do I want to ask?"

"What will be interesting will be to see what happens when Charleston Winchester finds out what has happened to his son, and what Jasmine Arc will do when she finds out what happened to her only boy."

"Ah..." visions of Ozpin's death in all ways and forms filled his mind. "This could be a problem."

"Could be?"

"It is a problem?"

"Yes it is." Glynda gave him a mirthless grin, showing way too many teeth. "What do you suggest we, and when I say we; I mean you, should do about it?"

"Claim it was the result of an accident with rare dust, that seems like a good idea?"

"An accident with rare dust?"

"Aftermath of an attack from a new type of grimm?"

"Ozpin." Glynda closed her eyes and took a deep breath before continuing, "Do you feel like finding out if you can reach Mount Glen from here?"

"Not particularly."

"Then, please, please tell me you have a way to fix this situation."

"Maybe?"

"Not. Good. Enough!" Glynda snarled as her hand snapped out and once again dragged the Headmaster over the top of his desk. "Fix. This. Now!"

"I don't know if I can." Ozpin choked out.

"WHAT?" shrieked the three teens, causing both Ozpin and Glynda to wince.

"I'm NOT living my life as a broad!" snapped Cardin, as she shook her head, causing her waist length orange hair to dance in the air behind her. "This has to be a dream... a nightmare! None of this is real!"

"Mr. Winchester, please..."

"OWWWWW!" Cardin grabbed her ample bust after Jaune punched it. "What the HELL dude?"

"Mr. Arc that was uncalled for!" Glynda snapped.

"Can I go back to my dorm?" Jaune asked, her voice like her body just radiating defeat. "I'd like to pack."

"Jaune?" Pyrrha asked, her voice cracking under the pure amount of emotions she had been struggling under this last hour.

"Mr. Arc?" Glynda and Ozpin asked in unison.

"I lied to get into Beacon. There everyone here knows now. I came here to become a hero..." Pyrrha bit her lip, having heard Jaune utter this spiel before. "I was tired of always being saved, of being the damsel. Now I am the damsel. So why bother anymore? It's not like I was any good at it."

"What about your dream?" Pyrrha asked.

"Kind of moot now." Jaune sighed, "My sisters will be happy, they always did like dressing me up in girl's clothes, and at least now I have the hair to braid."

"We will have this situation corrected Mr. Arc, and then we will discuss your admittance to Beacon." Glynda stated as she once again let Ozpin body flop onto his desk.

"Why bother? Just fix Cardin. He's an ass, but at least he's strong enough to be a huntsman."

"Jaune, you can't. You'll improve, I already told you I would help if you let me. I have faith that you can do this."

"I'm not cut out to be one, Pyr. If I hadn't cheated to get here you would have a worthy partner, JNPR would have a real leader, and Cardin wouldn't have been on the roof trying to blackmail me. Hence he wouldn't be a girl right now."

"Excuse me. He was what?" Pyrrha asked, her voice taking a slightly aggravated tone. Cardin raised her hands and backed away from the glaring spartan.

"Well with that settled." Ozpin coughed as he once again regained his feet.

"Hey! Nothing is settled! I want my old body back!" Cardin snapped.

As Cardin continued to rant, Jaune sighed, and shuffled over to the couch. She flopped face first into it, and just let her whole body go limp. Pyrrha knelt down next to her, and gently started to rub her back in circles.

"Jaune, we'll get this fixed, and then you can continue with your dream." she whispered to her, "I can help if you will let me."

"Why would you waste time on me?" Jaune mumbled, her voice muffled by the couch cushions she had her face pressed into.

"It's not a waste if I want to do it. Nor is it one if you are learning. You can do this Jaune. I have faith in you."

"ENOUGH!" Glynda snapped, causing everyone to go quiet. "Ozpin fix this. Mr. Winchester put a sock in it, and Mr. Arc stop moping."

"I don't..." started Ozpin.

"Nope." Glynda cut him off while making sure she popped the P. "Start reading. We can wait."

Pyrrha looked up from the sprawled form of Jaune, to see Glynda standing in front of the Headmaster's desk, with her arms crossed just under her breasts, while Cardin paced back and forth along the far-side of the office. Ozpin was seated at his desk, intently examining the large and worn book in front of him. Returning her attention to Jaune, she continued to rub her back as she went over recent events in her mind.

She relived the conversation that had happened between her and Jaune. The reveal of his transcripts, and his subsequent dismissal of her offer to help. She had left him on the roof, her heart aching with hurt. She hadn't made the first landing when she heard the shouts of panicked surprise. Rushing back up the stairs, she bodily thrust herself through the door, to find, Jaune and Cardin; standing in complete shock. They didn't even notice her arrival as they stared at each other, before they started to pad down their own bodies. Pyrrha had wasted no time in contacting Professor Goodwitch.

/=/

Jaune laid face down on the bed she had claimed in the unused dorm Professor Goodwitch had set up for the gender switched pair. Cardin was currently in the attached bathroom getting changed into some of the spare clothes Pyrrha had fetched for the pair. They were pretty much all the same height and build so it was the best option, over Jaune and Cardin staying in the uncomfortable loose and tight fitting uniforms they were currently wearing. Pyrrha never did make them privy to her excuse to Ren and Nora about where Jaune was, or why she needed to leave late at night with two sets of her own clothes.

Professor Goodwitch had arranged the room for the pair, as it was obvious that the Headmaster was having trouble finding a solution to this whole situation. After waiting in his office for over a hour, Glynda had made her decision. To protect their privacy, and to hide the situation she had made the arrangements. Jaune just remained face down on her bed, as she heard the bathroom door open. Cardin didn't say anything as she climbed into her own bed, as far away from Jaune as she could manage.

The morning found the pair, not in much better moods than they had been in when they first entered the room. Cardin was still upset, and fuming about the whole situation, while Jaune remained morose and listless. However there was a more pressing problem. Both of them were feeling the call of nature and neither was sure about how to go about reliving themselves. Their current equipment far different than what they had been used to for the last seventeen almost eighteen years.

Pyrrha arrived first finding Cardin pacing, and almost hopping in place, while Jaune sat on her bed, her thighs pressed tightly together. Pyrrha's face glowed as bright as her hair, as she attempted to explain to the pair of former males, on how to properly go about taking care of their business. Which was then followed by her having to assist them in dressing. Through the intricacies of how to properly put on and wear a bra. Once each was dressed in one of Pyrrha's spare uniforms, Glynda had arrived.

"You two will be posing as late applicants." she stated in a matter of fact tone. "Pyrrha as she knows of the situation, has been assigned as your escort. Understood?"

"What about turning me back?" Cardin asked, still uncomfortable about the whole situation.

"The headmaster is still working on a solution, and as such you are going to have to handle things in an appropriate manner as befitting huntsman in training."

"Don't you mean Huntresses?" Jaune asked, his voice dripping with the defeat. He stood there his shoulders slumped, and his hanging low.

"Jaune. That's not helping." Pyrrha admonished him, "You will be changed back. The Headmaster will find a way."

"Ms. Nikos is correct, but for now you will have to make due." Glynda added, "Also to cover your absences from your teams I have arranged paperwork indicating the pair of you have been sequestered for 'special' leadership training."

"Whatever." Jaune replied his voice and body emphasizing his complete lack of energy.

"There is no way that will be believable." Cardin interjected. "That makes no sense, why only two of us would be chosen for such a thing."

"It will be, and that is how this is going to be explained. Also, here." Glynda held out a pair of new scrolls. "Leave your old scrolls in here on mute, or better yet off. These have the contact information for Ms. Nikos and myself. If you have any questions or issues, contact one of us. Immediately."

Sighing Jaunne accepted her scroll, and tossed it onto her bed, while pulling out her original scroll, and shutting it off. Cardin echoed Jaune's motions.

"Why can't we just stay in this room?" Cardin asked, as she was pretty much unwilling to expose herself to the rest of the student body in her current state.

"Because, it would look entirely more suspicious to have food delivered, as well as having Ms. Nikos or myself constantly coming here to check on you."

"Classes?" Jaune asked, silently hoping they would be excused.

"You will attend all of your classes. This situation is no excuse for you to slack on your educations, however I will not be calling either of you up for spars." Glynda replied, while pushing her glasses up her nose. "Also we need to decide on names for you."

"I'll just go by Joan." Jaune responded.

"Why?" Pyrrha asked.

"If I had been a girl it was what my parents would have called me." Jaune replied, his voice still empty of energy.

"I'm not..." Cardin started to speak.

"You will." Glynda cut her off. "You can not be called by your current name. It would make discovery of this situation almost immediate."

"How about Carin?' Pyrrha offered. "It's pretty close to your real name."

"Fine." Cardin replied with a huff as she crossed her arms over her chest.

"Good with that all settled, Ms. Nikos will escort you to the cafeteria. I will check in with the headmaster and if he has found a way to reverse your conditions I will contact you."

The pair of young ladies, just nodded.

/=/

Joan and Carin were almost complete nervous wrecks as they followed Pyrrha to the cafeteria to get some breakfast. Every look from the other students making them certain someone would discover who they really were. While Joan was mentally attempting to prepare for the subsequent embarrassment; Carin was dreading the utter destruction of her reputation. Pyrrha was for her part forcing herself to be calm, and rehearsing for her role with the unavoidable introductions that were to come.

With all three lost in thought as they entered the cafeteria, none of them noticed the approach of remainder of team CRDL. Until Joan and Carin felt the touch of a pair of hands grabbing hold of their shapely behinds. Carin froze in shock, while Joan whipped around. The crack of flesh on flesh echoed about the expansive room, cutting through the dim background noise and conversations.

"Don't fucking touch me!" Joan screeched, as Dove was staggered from the violence and strength behind the blow to his cheek.

"Damn it hot stuff, he was just..." Russel tried to explain his teammates actions only to stop in mid sentence as he noticed the glare from Pyrrha, and many other students. It was now obvious to him that Dove had way over stepped, and Russel was smartly going to distance himself.

"I'll just be going." Russel stammered as he walked off in a quick clip, followed by a silent Sky.

Dove stood there still in shock, his hand pressed against his face. He couldn't believe he had been so stupid, and knew he was going to pay for his mistake as Pyrrha moved closer to him.

"What do you say?" she asked her voice dripping with violent intent.

"Sorry. It wont happen again." he stuttered.

"It'll NEVER happen again to anyone. Understand?" Pyrrha asked, getting a nod from Dove. "Go."

Dove took off, leaving the cafeteria entirely. Pyrrha turned her attention to Joan and Carin. Joan's dark blue eyes burned with anger, while Carin just stood there rigid with shock and embarrassment. She couldn't believe her teammate would do that, especially to her; along with regrets of times she had done the exact same thing to other unsuspecting young women. She shivered at the memories, the feelings of doing such actions, and now on receiving. The red tint of shame dusted her pale cheeks.

"Carin?" Pyrrha asked, "Are you okay?"

Carin couldn't respond. Memories of past actions flooding her mind. Actions that in her current state caused her to wince inside. She didn't know what was going on with her. Things just seemed different, felt different.

"Come, let's get you something to eat, Okay?" Pyrrha urged, with a gentle touch to Carin's shoulder. Joan for her part stalked off fuming. Her anger obvious as she slammed her tray on the counter.

Ozpin was tired. His eyes were sore, and his brain was mush. It was his reasonable fear of Glynda yeeting him out the window of his office into the Emerald Forest, that had him continually read and reread the pages that denoted the steps for the spell. During his night long vigil he came to several carved in stone observations. One he was severely out of practice when it came to magic rituals. Two the warnings came after the spells. That point in particular he should have remembered, as it was obvious he had written the damn book. Three this spell wouldn't have done what he thought it would do; and four he had tried this exact spell about three hundred years ago with a similar result.

Closing the tome, he pulled off his glasses and rubbed his eyes. He had no answers, as to how the spell could be reversed. He had no clue if the effect would even wear off. Nor did he have any idea on how he was supposed to tell this to Glynda without suffering some form of bodily harm. How he had managed to specifically just target Mr. Arc and Mr. Winchester was also a mystery that he had no energy to even bother trying to figure out. No right now he needed coffee. Then he needed to see if he could reverse engineer the spell in an attempt to dispel the effect.

Rising from his seat, he moved to one of the high arched windows of his office. Gazing out over Beacon's grounds, he sighed. He should have known better, but then again after existing as long as he has, you were bound to forget things off and on. He now had two questions he needed to answer. How to correct this mistake, and how to tell everyone involved that it wasn't going to happen anytime soon. He hoped he would be able to do so with out one of the four involved causing him to suddenly reincarnate.

/=/

Pyrrha was worried. Her teammates and friends had accepted Joan and Carin readily. They even showed genuine concern over what had happened to the pair, and worry about Carin's overly shy demeanour. No her concern was the fundamental shift in both Carin's and Joan's personalities. Carin was now withdraw, almost skittish; the complete opposite of how Cardin had always presented himself. Which to be fair while troubling; it was also manageable. Surround her with supportive and naturally protective individuals and she would be taken care of. No what was really bothering Pyrrha was Joan.

Jaune had always had a kindness to him. Always willing to listen, understand, and try to help. He wore his heart on his sleeve. Joan had been listless and lethargic until the incident with Dove. Now however she was anger incarnate. She was prickly, and quick to react. It was like her fuse was suddenly so short that anything would set her off. Case in point there were now three people in the cafeteria whom had missed the aftermath of Dove's encounter with Joan. Three people whom Joan had gotten into physical altercations with.

A wolf whistle was paid back via a vicious slap. An arm over her shoulder, was rewarded by a stomp and grind of her heel into the offender's foot. A chest to chest bump, in clumsy attempt to start flirting ended with the instigating girl receiving a knee to the groin. To prevent any further incidents Yang and Nora volunteered to wrangle in the young woman. Joan was like a rabid feral cat, and Pyrrha was finding that more than slightly disturbing.

"WTF Joan! Calm down girl." Yang cautioned as she and Nora sandwiched the blond spitfire between them. The seating arrangement didn't however stop the 'if looks could kill' glares radiating from Joan's dark blue eyes. "What's got you so riled?"

"They shouldn't touch me with my permission, and they should keep their fucking opinions to themselves." Joan snarled, as she continued to meet each and every gaze aimed at her with hostility. "I'm not just tits and ass."

"Joan, we understand, but you need to calm down." Ruby offered. "So where are you gals from?"

"Ansel." Joan answered, only to freeze and sit ram rod straight at her slip up.

"Vale." Carin replied, in a muted and soft voice.

With the ice sort of broken the remainders of RWBY and JNPR started to continue to ask questions, and include the two new additions to their table in general chitchat.

/=/

Three things had become apparent to Pyrrha as the day progressed. One Ozpin had yet to find a way to reverse the transformation. Two the personalities of Carin and Joan had definitely changed. Carin was now quiet and reserved; to the point that RWBY and JNPR closed ranks to make her feel protected. Joan was however very much like the rabid feral cat she had likened her to. She had no filter, and even less self control. Thirdly it was starting to be obvious to everyone in their close knit group that Joan had feelings for Pyrrha.

Pyrrha inwardly celebrated. If Joan was so openly displaying her emotions in that regard, then she knew that Jaune had been holding them in. This however presented a small problem. Joan was reacting to ever perceived slight or flirt aimed at Pyrrha, or herself; in a very aggressive manner. Case in point Yang currently had her arms coiled around Joan's midsection; as the girl squirmed, hissed, spit and reached out with hands curved to almost appear like claws towards the current huntsman-in-training that was the focus of her ire. None of them knew what had set her off, but figured it had been a comment aimed at Pyrrha, or even possibly Joan, herself. She made a mental note to take Joan aside for a serious talk.

Grimm studies was the first class of the day, and through silent agreement seating arrangements were altered. Joan was seated on Pyrrha's right, between herself and Yang. Carin was on Pyrrh'a left, with Nora next to her. The remainder of RWBY and JNPR spread out creating a barrier between the rest of class, and the two new comers.

Ozpin sipped his coffee, and sighed. It was his fourth cup, and he was just now starting to feel invigorated. Almost to the point that he was ready to try and take another the spell that had caused him an unexpected headache. A headache he needed to find a cure for, before someone really decided to take him to task for. The ding of his elevator, heralded one of the people that would do just that.

Glynda Goodwitch, walked into his office and straight up to his desk. She stopped just with in arms reach of him. Her green eyes regarded him with her trademark glare; as she folded her arms across her more than ample chest.

"Well?"

"Glynda, it's so good to see..."

"I'm waiting." she cut him off.

"Yes, well...um..."

"Can you undo what you have done?"

"Not currently."

"Care to explain?" Glynda's voice taking an obvious hint of frustration and anger.

"I can confirm this is one of my old books. But it is also obvious I created it during one of my creative phases." Ozpin sighed before continuing. "I puzzled out the formulas, and such; however I never did the reverse. So right now, at this point of time I don't have a way to reverse the effect."

"Ozpin..."

"I will work on it. It is possible, but it will take time; more than a fair bit of time."

"Will it wear off on its own, perhaps?"

"No." Ozpin replied without a moments pause. "It is permanent. "

"Use the spell again? Change them back?"

"That will not work. I need to unravel the energies that caused the change. Just dumping more on top will not work. In fact in if such an occurrence was to happen, I believe that the current result would become completely irreversible."

"So how long?"

"A couple months, if I devote all my time to this... issue."

"You are going to tell them, understood?"

"I understand, and I agree."

"So why them?"

"I don't know. They weren't my intended target. They shouldn't have been affected; at all."

"I'll bring them here after the evening meal. I suggest you continue to look into solutions."

/=/

As the day progressed Carin grew more comfortable. Her stiff stance softening, and her shy almost whispered responses to comments and questions becoming louder and more confident. Joan also became more manageable. Her seething anger was still present; however she no longer needed to be physically restrained. A light touch on her shoulder, by one of the group more than enough to keep her from going ballistic. Just as the group of nine was making their way to the cafeteria for the evening meal, Pyrrha took hold of Joan's wrist.

"Joan, can we talk? Privately?" Pyrrha asked, before looking at the rest of their group, "We'll just be a few minutes, save seats for us?"

The rest, nodded and waved in response; while Nora and Yang both gave her a saucy wink.

"Pyr?" Joan asked, with a slight red tinge to her pale cheeks, as Pyrrha lead the two of them into one of the window alcoves.

"I need to know what's going on with you Jaune." Pyrrha spoke in a low whisper. "You're not acting like yourself. I've never know you to just lash out like you have been, and then there's the..."

"I don't know."

"What do you mean you don't know?"

"I mean everything is twisted up. I used to be able to hold it all in, but now..."

"What would you be holding in? I know about your transcripts, but is there more?"

"You know I have sisters right?"

"You've mentioned it."

"I used to see people act like how these ass-holes have been acting. It always bothered me, but my sisters always stood up for themselves. They didn't allow anyone to get away with it." Jaune paused as if he was trying to choose the right words. "When I first got here, I saw it happening to your guys. Especially you, and it was driving me nuts. I buried it inside. It didn't seem to bother you, even though it bothered me. So I tried to ignore it, but now... now I can't."

"Jaune you don't have..."

"I do. I can't ignore it anymore. I wont let it go, not after what Dove did to me and Cardin."

"But it's giving you a reputation."

"So? It's not like I'm always going to be like this. So what if 'Joan' gets known as a hothead?" Jaune looked out into the hallway, seeing the thinning students all heading for supper. She looked confilicted after her last statement, before adding, "I can't just not do something. It's all just under the surface. Boiling away."

"I want you to calm down, please? For me?"

"I..."

"Jaune, please?" Pyrrha's emerald eyes took on a pleading look, "I have to ask you something. Can I?"

"I guess."

"Everyone is noticing, including me; that you get extra upset, when someone says something about me. It's almost like you're taking it personally. Can you tell me why?"

"You don't deserve it. None of you do, but when it comes ot you..." Jaune looked away, a blush colouring her cheeks.

"Do you like me Jaune?" Pyrrha paused before clarifying that question, "What I mean is; do you like-like me? Is that why?"

"I..." Jaune couldn't look at her, and shuffled uneasily.

"Jaune?"

"I..." Jaune finally gathered the strength to look her in the eyes, her blush deepening, "You're so perfect, enchanting even. So much more than I could ever deserve. I... I don't measure up, I never could, and..."

"And?"

"It hurts, even more so now. It hurts, and I can't do anything about it." Jaune almost appeared to be near breaking into tears, "I'm... I'm..."

"Jaune?"

"I'm... so confused." Jaune's dark blue eyes grew wet, "I can't..."

"You can tell me Jaune. I wont ever tell anyone anything you tell me in confidence."

"I like you, I do... but it's feels even stronger now, and..."

"Jaune?"

"I like it. It feels right." Jaune's face took on a conflicted look, as a couple of tears rolled down her cheeks. "It just feels right."

"I don't understand. What feels right?"

"My feelings for you, and..."

"Jaune just come out with it. I wont judge."

"All this." a few more tears rolled down her cheeks, her emotions slowly starting to overwhelm her. "All of it feels right. Like I..."

"Please, Jaune. You can tell me. It is just you and me here."

"Like I should have always be this way... "

/=/

Carin was confused and even though she was being a little more open with RWBY and (J)NPR; she was still trying to hold many things inside. The incident with her teammate, was still fresh in her mind, underlines by some of the comments and looks she was getting during the day. As Cardin she would have revelled in the looks of want and envy. But now, it was bothering her. It was making her recall times she had done things similar to what Dove had done, or made off colour comments like many of the students were.

It made her feel like less, like she was nothing more than a thing to be ogled, and desired. Like she was some prize in an unspoken competition; and it was deep inside disgusting her that she had acted in a similar way. She wasn't happy, nor was she internally strong enough to put on the fake face that it wasn't bothering her. So she pulled inward. She responded when she was addressed, but for the most part she just remunerated on memories and current feelings. She couldn't wait to hide away, she craved being returned to being Cardin.

So a stupid little cracked-fic. Fem!Jaune & Fem!Cardin. Wrote it because the idea just jumped into my head. It MIGHT get another chapter further down the road, but for now I think it'll stay as a stand alone.

Now on to more important things:

"Unleashed", "Monster", and "Secrets" will be updated in the next few days.

"Arisen" and "Shadowed Dance" will be getting a second chapter, in the near future.

"Wraith" is getting a full re-write. I'm not happy with how I did it, or how it turned out.

As always, comments, suggestions, critiques are always welcome.

Hope you enjoy.
