Getting to Know Each Other

"Well we should start at how I came to live with the Whites." Jade said.

"Alright, that sounds like a good plan." Remus said.

Ruby and Alex began telling the two how Jade came to the family. Sirius and Remus were pissed when they heard it all. Lily and James were climbing higher and higher on their list of people they hate.

"A few days later we moved to Japan." Ricky said as he handed Jade a napkin.

"Moved into the house next to my family." Jacob added as he grabbed the napkin from Ricky.

"We became best friends as soon as we met."

"And soul mates." Jacob said as he kissed her cheek.

"Knock it off." This time it was said by both Alex and Ricky.

Ruby rolled her eyes. "Jade was five when she first started to cross-dress."

"I was busy and needed to buy her a new shirt. I was so stressed out that I didn't realize that it was from the girl section." Alex said.

"It was a sparkly red top with white flowers." Jade said. "It became my favorite. Mostly since dad began doing everything I asked for." She grinned.

"I thought that she was upset." Alex replied with a pout.

"I wasn't. After about a week he saw me wear the shirt." She said with a smirk.

"Brat." Alex said with a pout.

She just grinned. "Mum picked out a silver skirt and after that I started crossdressing unless I didn't feel like it."

"I see." Sirius said. "So you let your dad believe you were upset so that he would do whatever you wanted?"

"Yup!" Jade said proudly.

"At the age of five?" He asked.

"Yup!"

"Sounds like someone else I know." Sirius said, giving Evan a pointed look.

"Really? Don't know who that would be." Evan said with a smirk that was identical to Jade's.

"What did you do?" Jade asked.

"Sirius bought me a toy snitch. Lily informed him that I didn't like quidditch so he thought that I would be mad at him. He kept buying me sugar anytime that we were out." He informed them.

"He failed to inform me that Lily was wrong." Sirius said with a glare.

"How long did it last?" Alex asked.

"It lasted for a month. Alice, Neville Longbottom's mum, finally put Sirius out of his misery." Remus informed them with a chuckle. "She is your two's god mum."

"I have a godmother?" Jade asked in curiosity.

"Yes you do, Alice Longbottom. Your brothers and sisters have the same godparents." He told her.

"If you like I can get you both in contact. She was distraught when we were informed of your 'death.' She would keep it a secret too." Sirius looked at Jade.

"I want to think about it." She said.

"Of course. Take as long as you like." He said.

"Thank you."

"You're welcome."

"I hate to interrupt but here is your food. Sorry it took so long." Jake's aunt said.

"It's fine auntie. It is my fault." Jake said.

"Yeah I know." She huffed.

"Would it help if I said sorry?" He asked.

"No. Just eat your food brat." She said.

"Okay." Jake gave her a cheeky grin and began eating.

"Brat." She mumbled as she walked off.

"Finally." Jade said as she began eating. "You need to leave your brother alone."

"But-" He stopped protesting at her glare. "I mean yes dear." He would later deny that he squeaked.

The others laughed. "I thought so."

"Wow this is really good." Sirius said after taking a bite.

"My brother makes the best food. For as long as I can remember he has been cooking." Jake told them.

"He has." Jade said agreeing with her boyfriend. "He even taught me although I am not as good as him."

"So Jade, can you tell us more about yourself?" Remus asked.

"Sure. My favorite color is teal, I love magical creatures and am planning to get a mastery in it." She answered.

"How did this interest come about?" Sirius asked.

"From living in Japan. They support all kinds of magical creatures. I know many." She told them.

"After getting a mastery, what will you do?" He asked.

"I am planning on working at a reserve. Back in Japan there is a reserve for many different kinds of magical creatures that live in harmony there. All I would do is make sure they are healthy, tend to any serious injuries, and keep poachers out." She told them.

As they listened to their godchild talk their eyes widened with this knowledge. Because of the limits and bigotry in London they weren't taught this.

"I never knew that. What is their stand on werewolves?" Sirius asked.

"They support them." Jade said. "My gym teacher was a werewolf. My charms professor is a weretiger."

"Looks like after you all graduate we are moving to Japan." Sirius said as he grabbed his shocked mate's hand.

"Cool."

"So Ricky, Jake how about you?" Evan asked.

"I am planning on getting a charms mastery." Ricky said. "Back in Japan there are many different branches of spell crafters. I want to invent and test out new charm spells."

"That sounds awesome." Evan said.

"Healer." Jake said.

"Cool."

"What about you?" Jade asked.

"I want to open a magical preschool." Evan said with a blush. "I also want to open up a daycare and an elementary school."

The only ones who weren't shocked were Remus and Sirius. They couldn't believe that the fifteen year old had such an amazing idea.

"That's seriously awesome." Jade said.

"It is. How did you come up with that?" Ricky asked.

"When Lily and James had parties to attend to or business trips they left us with a nanny elf. We never really played with other children. When I heard about muggle schools I thought about how great it would be in the magical world." Evan explained. "I figured that I could be the one who made it happen."

"It is truly a great idea." Ruby smiled at the teen. "Not even Japan had something like that."

"Thank you."

"Of course you are welcome."

"What is your favorite magical creature?" Evan asked to get the attention away from him.

"I would have to say are griffins." She said.

"Why?" He asked.

"They are adorable and I also have one." She answered.

"You do?" Sirius asked.

"Yup. He is midnight black with white tipped feathers and fur. I named him Shadow." She said fondly.

"When can I meet him?" Evan asked.

"This summer." She said.

"Awesome. I can't wait." He admitted.

"Me either. Although Jake won't be there." Jade pouted.

"Why not?" He asked.

"He is going back to Japan this summer. He volunteers at the hospital every summer." She informed them.

"I won't be there either." Ricky said.

"What?" Jade asked, confused.

"I have that internship with the Charm Spell Crafters at the Japanese ministry." He reminded her.

"Oh yeah I forgot. So then it will be the two of us hanging out." She said.

"Cool."

"Are you all finished?" Laura asked.

"We are." Jake said and the empty dishes vanished.

"Would you like your drinks refilled?" She asked.

"Yes please."

"Sure."

"Okay."

"If you don't mind."

Their glasses were taken and soon they were returned filled. "Would you like anything for a dessert?"

"May I have a peach castella?" Jade asked.

"Sure."

"Green tea ice cream please?"

"Of course Jake."

"Me too please." Ricky said afterwards.

"Hakuto peach jelly for me and we both know that Alex will have the Mochi ice cream."

"Yes I will." That caused the ones who knew Alex to laugh.

"Apple pie please." Evan finally decided.

"Chocolate cake for me please." Remus was the ever loving chocoholic.

"Do you have treacle tarts?" Sirius asked.

"Yes we do. Warm or cold?"

"Warm please."

"I will be right back with your desserts." They gave her their thanks.

After that they began talking more about themselves. Sirius and Remus were glad that their youngest cub had such great adopted parents.

(Outside)

Godric was passing by the window when he caught sight of his brother and godparents. That made him stop. Why didn't he know that his godparents were here? Then he saw the other people who were with him.

(Since when does Evan and my godparents know White and those other people?)

He walked off. He was going to find out the truth. He was almost back to the castle when it hit him. Jade White looks just like his youngest brother, Harry.

(No, that's impossible. Harry died. Mum said so.)

He ran up to the castle. He really needed to get answers. Godric couldn't understand what was happening.
