Hiccup spent the night at Hofferson's house while everyone was trying to figure out best next step of the deal that Snotlout requested.
Hiccup wouldn't let anyone in the room except for Astrid's parents, his parents and Gothi to check on Astrid's condition.
It was after dinner when Astrid came to wonder where she was and who was sitting beside her in a chair.
She moved her hand to wake the person to see it was Hiccup.
Hiccup stirred to see Astrid awake after three hours of unconscious and smiles "good evening, milady."
Astrid sighs "I lost the duel. I have to marry Snotlout now."
Hiccup shakes his head "no you don't. Snotlout tried to do a public consummation with you in the arena against your will. Once Toothless broke into the arena and got him off you.
I practicly told them to lock Snotlout up for two weeks. Plus I just got back from meeting and told the council members that if they try to force you to go through with deal I was going to raid Berk to the ground."
Astrid smiles at him "I guess I could count on you to rescue me and I rescue you."
Hiccup kissed her lips.
After the kiss, they head downstairs for Astrid to eat dinner.
In the morning, Ingrid woke up her daughter to see Hiccup spent the night.
Hiccup and Astrid walked downstairs to eat breakfast.
Magnus ask "what do you plan on doing today, Hiccup?"
Hiccup answers "open up dragon training academy."
Astrid grins "that's great."
Hiccup comments "I have to get permission from my father first."
After breakfast, Hiccup and Astrid leave to go do something.
Astrid join up with Ruffnut.
Ruffnut ask "what do you plan on doing for your husband if you plan on marrying Hiccup?"
Astrid grins "right now, Hiccup plan on paying for my bride price himself."
Ruffnut comments "that's a lot of value."
(With Hiccup)
Hiccup walks around the village until he finds his father and says "hey, dad? I want to pay for Astrid's bride price."
Stoick smiles "you finally decided accept your engagement to Astrid Hofferson."
Hiccup nods his head "yeah before someone tries to her marry him."
Next day, Hiccup walks down to the forge and begins making weapons for bride price.
A week later, Hiccup finished the weapons and loaded them on the cart and wheeled them to the Hofferson's house.
Once he got there, he knocks on the door.
Magnus opens the door to see Hiccup and ask "what's wrong, Hiccup?"
Hiccup grins "I brought weapons to pay for Astrid's bride price."
Magnus walks over to the cart and examine the weapons and says "these look very valuable."
Hiccup comments "if this isn't enough, I can make more weapons to satisfy you."
Astrid arrived to see the cart of weapons and ask "what's going on?"
Magnus turns to his daughter and says "your betrothed has come by to pay for your bride price."
Astrid gape "really?"
Magnus ask "how valuable do you think my daughter is worth?"
Hiccup answers "she's everything I want in a wife, but I couldn't put a price on her because it could insult her after all she's been through. I would pay more just for her to accept my request for marriage."
Magnus turns to his daughter and ask "are you sure you want to marry Hiccup Haddock?"
Astrid smiles proudly "yes, father. I wish to marry Hiccup."
