Toy Arc 2

The Arc and the Tower Pt. 1

The first floor/Entrance Room was quiet, as far as Jaune could tell. The floor was a mix of brown, white, yellow and blue concrete bricks. There were chairs and tables with leftover pizza and fizzy drinks, probably left by the inhabitants, with a staircase off to the left side of the building while on the right was a locked door (Jaune tried to use his Sheath/Shield to break it). To the right was a chest, oak in its appearance, with two black rings around its lid, looking quite different from the rest of the room. A clock rested on the far left wall, dead with its hands permanently at 4:46 PM. Slumped against the far right was a person, causing Jaune's eyes to widened.

"A-Are you okay?!" cried Jaune as he ran over, looking at the person with medical trained eyes. The person wore blue jeans, brown shoes and a hoodie that was blue and red striped, although they were slightly torn and ripped. Jaune noted that the person was male by the groan of pain he admitted and body type, slightly muffled by the black face mask around his mouth. The teen, looking to be a year older than Ruby, opened blue eyes, which darted around. Jaune helped him up and quickly did a check around, noting that near the chest was a bunch of striped balloons and a sign that just read "Balloons". The first thought that came through his mind was that this individual looked like JJ.

"Anyone got the number of the Bullhead that hit me?" muttered the teen, sounding young yet bored. The blonde knight helped up the balloon holder and then dusted him off. "Thanks for that. Wasn't expecting to be knocked out like that" the teen walked back over to the chest and sat next to it, sighing. Jaune walked over as the other spun the sign, it now reading "Shop open". It seems that this teen was a shopkeeper of some kind.

"Names Billy Flint, but my friends call me Balloon Boy or BB" the now named BB spoke, getting Jaune to nod, confirming the thoughts of BB and JJ being related. "Jaune Arc, student at Beacon Academy,' was the response before Jaunne asked 'what's with the chest?" This caused BB to to get a gleam in his eyes as he got up and tapped the box three times on the lid. On the third, the lid opened and Jaune's blue eyes widened.

Inside the chest was a mix of things. From unopened cans of soda to a stone used to sharpen swords. Jaune even saw bits of armour that looked like his! The Arc looked at BB in surprise while the latter looked a bit amused. "My semblance is a bit weird. It's called Travelling Merchant and it gives me this chest of supplies to sell, at specific prices and it prevents me from ever getting involved in a fight." That confused Jaune a bit on how a semblance like that would work. I mean, he noted that the sign had a sharpened side and one of the balloons looked brighter and less rubbery.

"How does that work?" "no clue, but it makes sense if you think of it like a game. I'm essentially an NPC or a shopkeep. I can fight but my Semblance seems to be alive, and will even warp me away from combat." That sounded like a headache to Jaune, with BB rubbing his own head. The two of them shrugged and the Arc looked through what Balloon Boy had before choosing a six pack of soda and armour upgrade. "Let's see. The soda is 15 lien so 90 for the six pack, while the armour upgrades will be 125 lien. So all in total, 215 lien."

Jaune nodded and paid him, before switching his armour to the new pieces. He actually noted that the white was slightly grey with a deep copper for the trimming, making even BB nod. Suddenly the building started to shake and rumble, causing Jaune to try and stabilise himself and BB to look around. Both heard the sound of mechanical laughing as clouds started to form, causing any nearby Grimm to back away and the door to slam shut. The duo looked at the door before BB cursed.

"He's back already" that caused Jaune to turn to the merchant. "Lately, a giant bird has found residence on our roof, using lightning to charge up something. It used to use one of my friends but she attacked it after something happened to her eyes." BB then looked sad, wishing that he could help out but can't, before feeling a hand on his shoulder. Looking up, he saw Jaune with a determined expression on his face, eyes glowing a little before BB nodded.

"Of course. I've only just met you and you already want to save the closest thing I have to a family." "Of course. After all, my mum said that strangers are friends you haven't met yet." The duo laughed before Jaune went to the stairs and climbed up.

The first thing Jaune noted was the room's size was larger than it would first seem. The floor was the same concrete texture as the previous room, although it was primarily pink and white, and did not have a lot of lighting. The room had a maze-like structure to it, with walls of electrified wires creating a pathway to the other side of the building. He noticed a sign that just said "Beware the mangled fox. Hide if you hear feminine laughter" leaving him confused before hearing two sets of laughter.

The first was the type you would hear from a bubbly girl (like Nora), full of energy and joy, but also showing a slasher type of laugh. The second was like an old man, bored and wanting this to be over with. Jaune went to pull out his sword when suddenly bolts of purple lightning struck it, magnifying it somewhere off into the dimly lit hall. Looking to where the bolts originated, he spotted three eyes, all pure white in colour, reminding him of Goldie's eyes. Sighing, Jaune looked towards the entrance of the maze, seeing only one line of wire wasn't active, meaning he could crawl under it.

He got down on his hands and knees and army crawled under the wires, silently thanking his sister for the minor fitness training, as he crossed under more wires. After three rows and a sharp right turn, he paused, noticing the lower wire was now on but the top two weren't. He got back onto his feet and climbed over the wires, doing so for the next two lots. This progressed between going on all fours and standing up until he found a dead end. Looking a bit annoyed, he turned to retrace his steps when his left arm touched the electrified side.

His aura flashed as he screamed, twenty five volts coursed through his body, causing him to flinch horribly and his arm jerked into the other electric fence, causing more electricity. After a bit, he calmed down and resumed tracing the maze, huffing a bit as his aura recharged, although he was a little annoyed at the masculine laughter. Jaune noted as he moved that his joints would occasionally lock up, causing him to nearly trip into other wires, both on and off. He did pause when he heard feminine laughter and his instincts yelled at him to drop, which he listened as twenty four bolts went right by where he stood, slamming into the pole on the other side. "Awwwwww, I missed" was the response he heard, making him pant, Although he noticed that parts of the maze opened and closed, creating new routes. This caused him to realise how dangerous this enemy was.

After a few hours of crawling, dodging lightning and getting the occasional twenty volts from touching the sides, both Jaune and his "friend" were starting to get annoyed. For starters, he was starting to get used to the shocks, which was not good, followed by the exhaustion in his arms and legs from repeatedly standing and crawling.

He was panting hard as he finally exited the maze, causing all the electricity to stop and the lights to turn on. As the person who shot lightning dropped, Jaune grabbed Crocea Mors from the wall and turned to face the person. She stood at 5'4", same as Ruby Rose, and had white short hair with pink highlights. She wore a light pink and white dress that ended at mid thigh and had short sleeves. Looking down, he noticed she had tights on, meaning she was wearing shorts underneath the skirt. There were holes in the tights, revealing the same metallic bones that Endo 02 has. She wore pink and white flat shoes, and had a fluffy white/pink fox tail peeking out from under her skirt.

Looking up, ignoring her sizable double D bust, (surprisingly her shirt wasn't torn or ripped at all, which he was grateful for as that was not what he wanted to see from a girl that could control lightning), he spotted her fluffy white/pink fox ears. That was everything normal about his girl as peeking from behind her head was a metal limb that had a metallic head, two semi-circle jaws, an L shaped head and had one full eye, both this head and the main head had the same black eyes with white dots. The main head had purple tear marks going from her eyes to her chin, reminding him of the story of Dock Fighting last month.

She went to monolog, however, Jaune was exhausted by the maze of lightning and walked forward, whacking his sheath on the girl's head hard enough to knock her out. She collapsed like a puppet free from its strings as she made a thud noise on the ground. He picked her up and walked to the stairs he found on the right side of the room, leading to an empty room filled with chairs and a bed. Sitting in one was Balloon Boy.

"Ah, I see you completed Mangle's flo-and you look exhausted." BB ended up saying, slightly deadpanned, as he had turned to the two people. Jaune went over to the bed and put the girl onto it, noticing the tear marks were gone. He then sat down on a chair and chugged a soda he had brought, groaning in annoyance. BB's laugh was heard as Jaune took a quick nap sitting.

And that's part two of the Toy Arc done! Finally, seeing as my last update was June the 27th and it's now November the 4th.

Now, the reason for this was actually a mix of Writer's block, lack of motivation, Real life things and trying to find the right way to type a unique storyline instead of copying the canon plot. As you can tell, I might have done good.

Anyway, We are introduced to Balloon Boy and Mangle. BB's semblance is based around his role from Five Nights at F-Boys, being the only shopkeep in the main 3 games while Mangle's semblance is lightning related. And for the Tower of Toys part, there won't be any big fight scenes, given how I did Twisted Bonnie vs Golden Freddy.

Anyway, like always I own nothing but the plot, characters belong to Rooster Teeth and Scott Cawthon and get ready for Jaune to tackle more floors with just his wits and training I'm giving him.
