A new contender for the crown

Jaune snapped his eyes wide as a bolt of lightning struck the tower, causing him to shout. He looked around as the rest of the Toys woke up, BB looking horrified before looking serious. He gestured to the final set of stairs before running to it, the other Toys and Jaune following him up to the roof, where they saw it was vacant aside from a lighting rod connected to a glass door tube. Inside was Nora Valkyrie, eyes closed in pain as her aura flared pink as she screamed.

"NORA!" Jaune shouted as he ran out, before a large steel feather slammed near him, the resulting shockwave launching him back. When he looked up, he saw something that surprised him. The individual that kidnapped Nora was a giant metallic Seagull, chrome in color as it landed with a thud before it stood tall. A loud gear grinding noise was heard as it waddled to the captive gal.

"WHY ARE YOU HERE, JAUNE ARC?" It spoke loudly, glaring at the Dunce Knight. "You kidnapped my friend and are currently torturing her! Of course I'll come to save her from you." Replied Jaune, pulling out Crocea Mors and glaring at the mechanical beast. It laughed a low, ear grating noise as it took flight, eyes of yellowish orange flashing as a battle started to brew.

"YOU WILL NOT GET IN MY WAY OF BRINGING MY LORD BACK FROM HIS ENCAGEMENT, NOR THE ASCENSION OF THE ONE TRUE GOD!" It roared, The area distorting itself as Jaune closed his eyes. Gone were the cries of his new allies, and the screams of his friend as all he heard now was lighting striking water and a howling wind. Jaune opened his eyes and saw he was now on a destroyed oil rig, looking up at his opponent.

"I AM MECHABIRD, THE BRINGER OF A NEW ERA THAT NOBODY CAN PREVENT!" Mechabird roared, flying high into the air.

Mechabird flew around the arena, firing large eggs at Jaune, who rolled to avoid them as the blew up at his feet. Jaune raised his shield and blocked a few as he launched one back, hitting the mechanical avian in its large beak, causing it to cry in pain. It then flew up and glared down, distorting reality to a black shine.

It roared as its body glowed green and orange, firing five glowing glass spheres before teleporting around as Jaune dogged and blocked the ones that got close. Mechabird swooped down during one of these and pecked at Jaune, allowing him to counter and slash at it, doing nothing before the bird restored reality.

Jaune's eyes widened as Mechabird flew into the air and laughed, launching spiked televisions down below. He dodged a few of them and swung his sword at the ones on the ground, his eyes widened as it shot out spikes that spiked his aura, ironically enough. He had an idea and spun in place, pouring a little bit of his aura into his sword and destroyed a good amount of the TVs on the ground, although one spike nailed his heel, causing him to flinch.

Mechabird quickly swooped down, spinning its razor wings in anger before firing an explosive egg at Jaune. In retaliation, Jaune swung his aura powered sword and cut into the birds iron body, causing it to cry in pain yet again. Jaune grinned before slashing at it five more times, although each hit did less and less damage, with Mechabird biting onto Jaune's shoulder.

Jaune's aura flared white, launching the bird back and causing its body to glow yellowish orange once more as it roared, launching more eggs after flying up. Jaune noticed the eggs not exploding immediately and slashed at one with his blade, launching it into Mechabird and doing massive damage. He grinned as he blocked another with his shield, which caused it to blow up and shatter his aura.

Jaune screamed before his eyes glowed and attacked another egg, launching it to Mechabird who sped up, firing more at Jaune before both heard a quiet "Cupcake?" causing Jaune to spot the cupcake Chica gave him. He grabbed it and nodded, remembering that it was a Healing Cupcake and even said it aloud, a plan forming as he went to eat it, however, it was stopped by Mechabird grabbing it out of his hands and eating it, grinning at the shellshocked Arc.

Suddenly, Its body flashed green as it slowed down "WHAT?! YOU SAID IT WAS HEALING!" "I lied! The one who gave it to me told me that it would eventually become a Speed Reduction Cupcake" This was a lie, as even Jaune didn't know it but he was going to tell it that. With the distraction, Jaune kicked an egg at Mechabird, causing it to scream as reality warped.

Jaune panted as he glared at the twitching Mechabird, who dropped from the air over the Tower. Jaune had enough time to sheath his sword back into its Shield/hilt before hearing that mechanical laugh. His head snapped up as the beast flew off, a bit wonky as Jaune growled and hurled insults.

He then remembered Nora before limping to her and freeing her from the tank, pulling her out as the lighting rod went back in. Jaune panted as the Toys ran over, concerned as Toy Freddy lifted Jaune up while Toy Bonnie and Toy Chica did the same to Nora, nodding after getting her up right.

"Guys, you gotta see this" cried Mangle, making the four awake members look at her and saw her holding a piece of paper. It had twelve emblems on it which followed as a Rose in front of two arcs, a Microphone with two bear ears, a Cup with a shattered handle, a vial of Ink that had tiny writing, a skull with empty eyes, under it was a knife and a sword, followed by a book that looked glitched. Next lot were a knife and a gun crossed against each other, a third knife with rabbit ears, an odd creature with closed eyes and plants on it, an odd mask in a giant gear was next. Finally, there was a portal-like emblem with a shard on it and a boomerang, an ice cube and a horn-like needle.

None of them could make heads or tails of these emblems before Jaune flinched, looking at his bleeding heel. The Toys nodded before leaving the Tower as it lost all light and entered a glitching rock.

Mechabird groaned as it flew back to where its master was kept, avoiding the vicious grimm of the sea as it got closer to the Isle of Darkness. It landed on an off the coast island, narrowly avoiding a bullet from a pirate ship that sported three skulls, before entering the building in it.

The inside was a glitching pink mess, parts of the place gone as Mechabird got close to a chained door, which had those twelve emblems. "MY LORD, I HAVE FAILED. THE GIRL WITH ORANGE HAIR WASN'T THE ANCHOR, BUT THE BOY WAS! I MUST RECHARGE BEFORE I GO LOCATE THE OTHER ELEVEN ANCHORS." It spoke, getting no response as it left.

It was midnight when Glynda Goodwitch heard a distorting noise, turning to see Mr Arc, Miss Valkyrie and five unknown individuals step out from a tree that was not there before. She quickly ran over, seeing the blood dripping from the Arc's leg and the outcold hammer user then noticed how tired the four faunus and human were.

She sighed before leading them to JNPR's dorm, explaining to Miss Nikos and Mr Ren the situation, making them both nod and create space for the tired individuals. Glynda nodded, saying goodnight to the group before leaving, witnessing Team RWBY, Mr Wukong and Mr Vasilias returning.

She sighed before going to bed, as today was enough.

And that's the Tower of Toys portion of the Toy Arc, along with my try at a Boss Fight.
