Yuya was on the arena floor across from Kachidoki himself. He was determined to make him smile.
"Go Yuya! Get him good!" Yugo shouted.
"Do you think he can win?" Ayu asked Yuzu who gulped before talking.
"Of course he can." Yuzu said visibly nervous for Yuya's safety.
"Alright everyone! For an encore we have Kachidoki Isao coming back for another heated battle against Yuya Sakaki! Action Field On: Immortal Forest of Bamboo Activate!" Nico said as the bamboo field appeared.
"Kachidoki! I don't accept your dueling! I'll show you the error of your ways in this duel!" Yuya said full of determination.
"Duelist locked in battle!" Kachidoki started.
"Kicking against the ground and dancing through the air alongside their monsters!" Yuya shouted back.
"They storm through this field! Behold this is the greatest evolution of dueling!"
"ACTION-"
"DUEL!"
YUYA: 4000 VS KACHIDOKI: 4000
Kachidoki got into a fighting position waving his hand at Yuya signaling him to go first.
"Alright! My turn! I summon Entermate Silver Claw!" Yuya placed the card on his duel disk as the silver wolf with a bow tie appeared on the field. Yuya jumped on the wolf while it ran through the field earning the crowds cheers.
Entermate Silver Claw (1800/700) LVL:4
"Yuya! Look out!" Ayu and Futoshi yelled as Yuya noticed the bushes and trees in front of him as he ran through them with gave him a mouth full of leaves and laughter from the audience.
"That's Yuya for you. He never changes know matter who is opponents is." Shuzo said.
'He never changes...I know ever since that night where him, Yuto, and Yugo dueled, and finding out about Academia, he has been disturbed. But he still faces challenges head on.'
"I end my turn." Yuya said.
"My turn! While my opponent controls monsters and I don't, I can summon Earth Star Hayate without release!" Kachidoki said summoning a warrior with a blue and orange armor, wolf fur on his head and a long staff as a weapon.
Soaring Earth Star Hayate (2100/0) LVL:5
"Battle! Soaring Earth Star Hayate Attack!" Kachidoki commanded his monster. Yuya continued riding on the back of silver claw as he saw an action card and he was about to get it until two pieces of bamboo were thrown at him. Silver Claw dodged both but when Yuya looked up he saw a Kachidoki grabbing the card out of the tree. He was then hit by the monsters pull knocking him off his destroyed and leaving him on the ground.
"When destroyed, pendulum monsters go to the extra deck." Yuya said placing the card in his extra deck slot after getting up.
"Turn end." Kachidoki said striking a battle pose.
"That's not fair!" Ayu shouted.
"Big bro Yuya would've gotten the action card if he didn't interefere like that." Tastuya said.
"It's so dirty it gives me shivers." Futoshi said.
Kachidoki taughtingly waves his hand to come at him again.
"So you are going to keep dueling me like that. Then I'll also...duel the way I believe in! My turn! It's here!"
Yuya said as he saw the card he drew was Trump Witch.
"He must have gotten a good draw." Yuto said.
"Go get him Yuya!" Yugo shouted.
"With the Scale 4 Entermate Trump Witch and the Scale 8 Timegazer Magician, I set the Pendulum Scale!" Yuya said as one of his main magicians and fusion summoning monsters appeared in the two blue columns.
"Here it comes!" Yugo yelled in excitement.
"Swing Pendulum of my soul! Draw an arc of light across the ether! Pendulum Summon! Come forth with your heroic and dichromatic eyes, Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon!" Yuya shouted as a singular red light appeared from the portal revealing to be the red dragon with red and greens eyes.
Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon (2500/2000) LVL:7
"Sakaki has finally pendulum summoned!" Nico shouted.
"The fun has just begun!" Yuya shouted to the crowd as they screamed and cheered for the tomato haired teen.
"Fun?" Kachidoki asked.
"Yeah! Having fun is the most important part of dueling!" Yuya said to the purple haired teen.
"I only came here to win." Kachidoki ignored the teen's words.
"I came to win too! But there's more to dueling than just winning!" Yuya replied to Kachidoki who had a serious expression. "Now I normal summon Entermate Camelump!"
Entermate Camelump (800/1800) LVL:4
"Battle! Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon Attack!" Yuya commanded his dragon as it charged at the warrior monster.
"I activate the effect of Soaring Earth Star Hayate! When I only have this monster in the field I can negate an attack!" Kachidoki countered as his monster shot a blue blast from it's spear but the dragon dodged the attack.
"What a reverse from Kachidoki!" Nico yelled.
"We didn't think that was going to beat you, right?" Yuya looked at his monsters and smiled.
"This situation..." Tastuya said.
"With Trump Witch in his pendulum zone..." Ayu added.
"It's just like when he dueled Sawatari..." Futoshi said.
"With a Beast-Type monster on his field that means he's going for Beast Eyes!" Yuzu said.
"Trump Witch's pendulum effect! It lets me perform a Fusion Summon using monsters on my field! Even during the battle phase! I choose Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon and Entermate Camelump!" Yuya shouted as Trump Witch used her magic to pick up the two monsters as they began to merge into the fusion vortex.
"Here it comes!" Yugo said with enthusiasm.
"Beast that survives the scorching lands! Become one with the mysterious dragon, and bring forth the most powerful storm! Fusion Summon! Come forth, Dragon of the raging winds! Level 7! Odd Eyes Vortex Dragon!" Yuya shouted as the green version of his dragon unseen by everyone except for a certain few appeared with a loud roar.
Odd Eyes Vortex Dragon (2500/3000) LVL:7
"A new dragon!" The trio of kids shouted in excitement.
"Amazing Yuya!" Shuzo and Gogenzaka yelled.
"Sakaki has brought out a new fusion monster yet again! This time a new Odd Eyes monster! The monster used to summon now go to the extra deck!" Nico shouted as the crowd cheared.
"I know what you are all thinking? Why some a monster with less attack points? Well attack point isn't everything and I'll show that you! Odd Eyes Vortex Dragon's effect! When fusion summoned I can send a monster on my opponents field back into the hand! Say good bye to Hayate! Vortex Gale!" Yuya shouted as the dragon flapped it's wings but Kachidoki was ready.
"I activate the Action Spell Quick Counter! I negate your monster's effect and destroy it-"
"Odd Eye Vortex Dragon's other effect! Once per turn, I can send a pendulum monster from my extra deck to the deck to negate that effect!" Yuya countered as he sent a Camelump to the back into the deck.
"What?!" Kachidoki shouted as his monster was blown back to his hand. But he quickly ran to get an action card he saw by jumping up and grabbing a branch and swinging himself upwards grabbing the card.
"Although it doesn't have as much Attack, it sure has some useful effects." Ayu said.
"Battle! Odd Eyes Vortex Dragon Direct Attack! Spiral Storm Burst!" Yuya shouted as the green dragon shot a green blast at Kachidoki while he was mid air.
"Action Card Evasion! I negate the attack!" He shouted as he moved his body to dodge the attack before landing on the ground.
"Were all of your attack being evaded fun to you?" Kachidoki taunted.
"What?!" Yuya shouted.
"If your finished hurry up and end your turn!" Kachidoki said.
"Next time I'll make sure you have fun! Turn end!" Yuya said smiling.
"My turn!" Kachidoki said as he jumped up and got an Action Card that was stuck in a branch. "Action Magic Single Distraction! This lets me destroy your monster!"
"Nope! I send Silver Claw back to the deck to negate that effect!" Yuya countered.
"I knew you would do that. I activate the spell card Fusion! I fuse together Rising Earth Star Temna and Soaring Earth Star Idaten in my hand!" Kachidoki shouted showing the fusion card.
"What?!" Yuya shouted.
"Star racing across the heavens. Pass over the earth. Become one and shine as an eternal ruling star! Fusion Summon! Come to me! Level 10! Supreme Victory Star Idaten!" Kachidoki shouted as the large warrior monster appeared with black and red armor.
Supreme Victory Star Idaten (3000/2200) LVL:10
"I neee an Action Card...!" Yuya said as he sprinted off.
"Let me tell you what Idaten's effect is. When this card battles an opponents that has a lower level, the opposing monster's attack becomes 0." Kachidoki explained.
"What?!" Yuya shouted said he ran.
"If Odd Eyes Vortex Dragons's Attack becomes 0, he'll take 3000 points of damage at once!" Yuzu said in horror.
Yuya continued running but Kachidoki grabbed a bamboo stick out of the ground and threw it at his opponents feet tripping Yuya.
"I activate the the equip spell Magic Star Sword and equip it to Idaten! Now by sending a spell card that was added to my hand during this turn to the grave, my monster gains 100 attack!" Kachidoki said as he ran and jumped on a few floating rocks and landing next to an action Card that Yuya was going for.
"Ow..." Yuya said kneeling down.
"I send an action card in my hand to the graveyard and Idaten's Attack goes up by 100." Kachidoki said discarding the spell.
Idaten (3000/2200)-(3100/2200)
"That damn bastard!" Yugo cursed.
"Since action cards count as spells, he can use them to increase his monster's attack!" Tastuya shouted.
Yuya looked up and saw an Action Card in one of the trees and started to go for it but Kachidoki rammed him from the side and got the card.
"I send the second action card to the grave." Kachidoki shouted again as his monster powered up.
Yuya began getting up and started running but was kicked in the back. "Third to the graveyard."
"Fourth to the graveyard."
"Fifth to the graveyard."
"Sixth to the graveyard."
Idaten (3100/2200)-(3600/2200)
Yuya was knocked to the ground again by his opponent as he gasped for air.
"Yuya!" Yuzu yelled.
"His fighting is so dirty!" Futoshi said in shock.
"Big bro Yuya only has 3700 life points yet!" Tastuya said worried.
"If this keeps up he is going to lose!" Ayu fearfully said.
"This dueling is unforgivable!" Gogenzaka shouted.
"I'm gonna kill that guy!" Yugo shouted enraged.
Yuto was enraged as well but more worried than anything.
"Yuya! Don't give up!" Yuto shouted.
"I can't give up!" Yuya said as he got up. He began running for an Action Card. "If he gets the next Action Card, it's over for me!"
"If he gets the next Action Card it's over for me!" Yuya yelled.
"I'll never let your get ahold of an Action Card!" Kachidoki yelled catching up to the boy.
"What?!" Yuya yelled
"Up until now, you have lived your life, strolling along with a bright light without a single shadow falling over it." Kachidoki said as he continued running.
"What are you talking about?!" Yuya shouted.
"I only walked a pitch black pack of darkness. I will attain victory!" Kachidoki shouted.
"You don't know that for sure!" Yuya shouted back as they got closer to the action card.
"I'll definitely get it!" Yuya said with full confidence.
"No I won't let you! Battle! Idaten Attack Vortex Dragon's! At this moment, Idaten's effect activates! Your monster's attack becomes 0!" Kachidoki shouted as the dragon was wrapped around in green aura.
Vortex Dragon (2500/2000)-(0/2000)
"The wind of victory only blows for those who have seen true darkness!" Kachidoki said as his monsters blade was about to hit the dragon.
"I won't give up!" Yuya said as dived towards the card extending his arm out. As the sword hit a large explosion occurred and as the dust settled, Kachidoki was stepping on Yuya's arm as he had the action card in his hand.
YUYA: 3700-100 LP
"What is this?! Sakaki has managed to survive with only 100 life points left!" Nico shouted into the microphone.
"I set one card facedown and end my turn."
"He survived!" Yugo exclaimed.
"But what is he going to do..." Tastuya said with a worried tone.
"Looks like you've lived by the skin of your teeth, but your own darkness will be upon you soon." Kachidoki said as Yuya slowly got up with a dreadful look on his face.
The field suddenly became dark and Yuya's face became even more darker. "Fall into pitch-black darkness."
BA-BUMP
Yuya felt his burning chest as he bent down in pain and gritted his teeth. He closed his eyes. He wanted the pain to end.
Yuya opened his eyes and saw that he was no longer in the action field. It was a pitch-black void of nothingness. But a strange and powerful presence caused him to turn around.
He saw a black shadow-like figure with hair that stood straight up and golden eyes. Yuya raised his hand up to the figure as it did the same. As their fingers touched, the dark figure suddenly morphed into a pitch-black sillouette of Yuya but had it's hair sticking sticking up more than usual and demonic red eyes.
The two began moving closer almost as if they were merging. Suddenly, the dark sillouette overlapped with Yuya as he disappeared from the void.
Yuya's eyes were now glowing a bright red color and his hair was sticking slightly sticking up. Yuya's face expression completely changed to a cold and deadly stare towards his opponent which shocked Kachidoki.
As the crowd looked at Yuya in awe, Yuto and Yugo both felt a sharp pain in their chest. Everyone was too busy paying attention to Yuya that no one noticed the faint glow of Clear Wing Synchro Dragon and Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon.
"You have spoken about walking on a path of pitch-black darkness. But you have no idea what true darkness is." Yuya said with a cold and dark voice.
"What?!" Kachidoki said. He didn't expect Yuya to drastically change like this.
"I'll show you true darkness. My turn. I activate the Action card Magical Reload! Now I can send up to 3 face up spell or trap cards on my field back to the deck and draw for each one plus one. I send my Pendulum Scale back to the deck and draw 3 cards." Yuya coldly said as he drew and eyed his cards.
"Sakaki no longer has any cards on his field! But has a brand new hand!" Nico shouted.
"What are you planning." Kachidoki said.
"With the Scale 5 Entermate Cheermole and the Scale 8 Xiangshe Magician, I set the Pendulum Scale. Swing Pendulum of my soul. Draw an arc of light across the ether! Pendulum Summon. Come forth, my monster servants!" Yuya said in a dark voice as two lights appeared from the portal. "From my hand, Entermate Hammer Mammoth. And from my extra deck, my eternal servant, Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon!"

Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon (2500/2000) LVL:7
"So what? Your Pendulum monsters are to weak to defeat me!" Kachidoki shouted.
"Is that so? In that case..." Yuya said as a smile began to appear on his face as his eyes continued to glow. He held up one of his two cards which was enveloped in a dark red aura. "While I have a level 5 or higher monster on my field, I can release it to advance summon a special monster from my hand."
"Advance Summon?!" The YouShow kids said in confusion.
"I will now release Hammer Mammoth to Advance Summon! Dragon with burning dual colored eyes, evolve pass your limits and incinerate the world with your eternal flame! Come forth! Level 8! Odd Eyes Advance Dragon!" Yuya shouted with a evil smile as his entermate monster panicked as it was engulphed into flames. Out of the flames arises a dragon with large wings and a large tail. The dragon had one red and one green eye and had three red horns on it's face with two dark grey horns in each side of it's upper head and light colored horns connected to it's jaw. The dragon had white spikes on it's elbows and knee caps and red sharp armor covering the rest of it's body. It had a striking resemblance to Yuya's original Odd Eyes Dragon.
Odd Eyes Advance Dragon (3000/2500) LVL:8
"S-Sakaki has summoned a large powerful dragon!" Nico yelled.
As Yuya's two dragons roared, Yuto and Yugo's chest started to hurt even more but they couldn't keep their eyes off the match.
"What an incredible dragon!" Tastuya said admiring the dragon.
"Has Yuya always had this card." Ayu asked Yuzu who looked scared and worried.
"I-I don't think so." Yuzu answered.
"You were right, I can't make you have fun. But, I can have fun defeating you! Odd Eyes Advance Dragon Effect! When summoned this way I can destroy a monster in my opponents field and deal damage equal to it's original attack! Take this, Burning Assault!" Yuya shouted as his eyes continued glowing while his dragon flew at the monster and as it got closer it became enveloped in fire and charged through the monster sending Kachidoki flying with no time to get an Action Card.
KACHIDOKI: 4000-1000 LP
"I won't let you win! I activate the Trap Card Returning Warrior! When a Warrior type Fusion monster is destroyed, I can banish it's fusion materials to summon it back to the field! Also, it can't be targeted by card effects this turn!" Kachidoki said as his warrior reappeared.
Supreme Victory Star Idaten (3000/2200) LVL:10
"Idaten's effect will make sure you weak dragons can't do anything against it! And since you can't target it with card effects, you can't do anything! It seems your efforts were in vain!" Kachidoki said.
Yuya continued to smile before looking up at his magician in his Pendulum Scale. "Magician of creation that watches over harmony, fill the heavens with star using your arcane power! Xiangshe Magicians' effect! I can target a monster and make it's level equal to another monster's level!"
Advance Dragon LVL:8-7
"Why would he do that?" Shuzo asked.
"Two level 7s." Yuto said realizing his next move.
"Now I overlay Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon and Odd Eyes Advance Dragon!" Yuya shouted as his two dragons turned into dark overlay units.
"It's coming..." Yugo said in fear.
"Dragon is dual colored eyes, eradicate all enemies that opose you with your black scale of wrath! Xyz Summon! Come forth! Rank 7! Dragon with Eyes of Rage! Supreme King Black Dragon-Odd Eyes Rebellion Dragon!" Yuya shouted as he summoned his dragon which was a cross of Dark Rebellion and Odd Eyes.
Odd Eyes Rebellion Dragon (3000/2500) RNK:7 OVU:2
"What is this?! Yuya Sakaki has Xyz summoned?!" Nico shouted as the crowd stared in awe.
"Yuya can Xyz summon too!" Gogenzaka, the three kids and Shuzo shouted.
"Not only is my Odd Eyes Rebellion Dragon an Xyz monster but it is also a Pendulum Monster." Yuya said.
"W-W-What?! Yuya Sakaki has just evolved Pendulum Summon even further by summoning an Pendulum Xyz Monster!" Nico shouted shocking the crowd.
"It's a Pendulum Monster as well as being from the extra deck?!" Tastuya said in awe.
Now Yuto was the one feeling the immense pressure in his chest as his eyes started to faintly glow. Yugo was too but a lot less than Yuto was since Yuto was more connected to the dragon.
"And since my dragon is a Pendulum Monster, Enternate Cheermole's effect activates! All Pendulum monsters on my field gain 400 attack points." Yuya said as his dragon roared which caused Kachidoki to get nervous.
Rebellion Dragon (3000/2500)-(3400/2500)
"It's more powerful than Kachidoki's monster!" The three kids shouted.
"Yuya..." Yuzu said as she saw Yuya, the boy she loved, turning into a monster. She saw his evil smile and it scared her.
"I equip my dragon with the spell Odd Eyes Spirit! This card can only be equiped to an Extra deck Odd Eyes Monster that Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon was used as material for." Yuya shouted as the card appeared and the spirt of Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon was absorbed into the dragon. "Battle! Odd Eyes Rebellion Dragon Attack! Rebellious Wrath Strike Disobey!"
"B-But Idaten's effect! When it battles a monster with a lower level it's attack becomes 0!" Kachidoki said which caused Yuya to laugh.
"Idiot. Since Xyz monster's have Ranks instead of levels, that effect is nullified." Yuya said with a dark grin.
"What?! So Xyz monster's don't count as having a level of 0?!" Kachidoki said as it was to late to dodge the attack with an action Card. The black dragon tore through the field and trees with it's wings and fangs before driving it's fangs through the warrior monster.
KACHIDOKI: 1000-600 LP
"It's not enough!" Kachidoki shouted.
Yuya eyes continued to glow red as his dragon's armor began to crack revealing a bright red light inside of the dragon. "What?!" Kachidoki said confused.
"When a monster destroys another monster while equiped with Odd Eyes Spirit, I can release that monster and special summon Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon from my grave!" Yuya shouted with glowing eyes as the black dragon exploded and Odd Eyes came back and was boosted through Cheer Mole's effect.
Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon (2500/2000)-(2900/2000)
"It's over! Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon! Attack him directly! SPIRAL STRIKE BURST!" Yuya yelled with a dark and cold voice as his dragon jumped into the air and shot a powerful blast at the purple haired teen who didn't move.
KACHIDOKI: 600-0 LP
WINNER: YUYA
As the field disappeared, Yuya hair and eyes returned to normal but for a split second, his dragon remained on the field looking at him before dissolving.
"And t-the winner is Yuya Sakaki!" Nico timidly said as the crowd just stared at him.
"G-Great job...Yuya...!" Shuzo timidly yelled.
Yuy then turned to Kachidoki who was lying on the ground. "Kachidoki, are you okay?"
"Get away from me, you monster!" Kachidoki said limping off the stage in fear and shame to see his duel school and master leave him behind.
Yuya looked at the crowd who were all shocked and scared. This wasn't what he wanted. He wanted to entertain people while they watched him duel. He wanted them to have fun. He wanted them to smile. But all he did was cause fear. "What did I do...?"
Hey Everybody! Sooooooo I think that was a quick chapter. I decided to have Yuya use his Vortex Dragon because it was a very powerful card and Yuya could deal more damage during that turn if his attack wasn't blocked. Plus knowing Yuya, he loves fusion and he loves entertaining the crowd so he would definitely summon his new fusion monster since the only people that saw it were his counterparts and Yuzu.
Regarding Yuya's berserk form, I felt that when he duels Kachidoki and went berserk in the anime, he was more influenced by Yuto and therefor acted like him. Or atleast the way I took it, the berserk form twists the personality of the person. For example, in that duel in the anime, Berserk Yuya was very quiet and cold like Yuto, but was also extremely scary. Here, since Yuya is just Yuya and has no one absorbed, I had him see a certain someone with yellow eyes and then see him self meaning her would become an evil version of himself. Since Yuya wanted to smile and bring smile's, I kept the same thing but made it more evil like Yuya starting serious but as the duel got intense he began to have a dark grin as he was challenged more. And originally I was going to have Odd Eyes Advance Dragon win the duel through it's effect and direct attack, but I wanted Yuya to Xyz summon since that was what made the original duel so iconic so I decided to add Odd Eyes Rebellion as well. I was going to do Absolute Dragon in the duel but it didn't work out.

SniperZ: Yeah to be honest I only didn't do that so Serena could fit he whole finding Shun thing.
Bladeknightnare: Interesting. I might put this in but I may change it a little later on.
Super Shadow 2018: You are welcome. Sorry but I didn't use absolute to win because it's more defensive. And I would love to use the ritual monsters for the Yu's! If you could just drop the card descriptions in your next review that would be awesome! Yuzu will definitely get Xyz and maybe soon. Masumi will probably return but I don't know.
Flame of Decay: I'm going to try to split the teams up so Yuzu and Serena won't be on the same team. Also, Yuya, Yuto, and Yugo won't be on the same team either. But that duel might come later on.
YunoYudu97: lmao that's true for that duel if it were to happen.
Malicious Hero: Yuzu will learn all the summoning methods. I don't want to spoil who will face the king but for now it will be one person. For now. And Yuto and Yugo learn other summoning methods. Than you!
BlazeDaBoss: It's cool you like Dennis and I really like him because of him vs Shun. If Shun doesn't know him then Yuto won't know him. I haven't decided on Raging and Wing. The teams will be mixed up so you are right. And thanks for the idea about Yuzu's pendulums.
ET 2000: I get what you are saying but Wing Dragon is EXTREMELY Situational since you need Clear wing for it's summon and if I were to do Raging Early, it would be like a one or two time thing. About the trio and Roy, I know they are mostly single use characters besides Masumi but I need to have a lot of lancers for the 3v3s. If this was singles I would only bring Masumi. But thanks and I know A lot of people including myself wish Yuto had more screen time.
Next time: Yuya needs to recover from him previous duel while his friends win their duels and make it in to the next round, until it is Yugo's turn. Will Yugo have what it takes to win his duel?!
