"What a day!" Yugo said as they walked back to the house. After Yuya's match, Yuzu, Gogenzaka, and Yuto had won their duels against their opponents and were heading home.
"Yeah, it's been a while since I participated in a tournament." Yuto said.
"You sure are lucky Yuto, getting to duel two times in one day. I have to wait until tomorrow." Yugo pouted which made Yuto laugh.
The boys, Yoko, and Yuzu were walking back to the Sakaki household after their big day at the tournament. Yuto had asked Yuzu if she could spend the night at the Sakaki's house since he had something important to share. So, Yuzu told her dad that she wanted to help Yoko take of the boys since it could be hard for her to have 3 Yuya's in her house all by herself. So, her dad let her but under the condition she slept in her own room which she agreed to.
"Yuya are you ok?" Yuzu said as she walked next to Yuya.
"U-Uh Yeah I'm fine." Yuya responded. "You did great today. That duel against Mikiyo sure was fun to watch."
"Thanks. All we need to do is have Yugo win and we'll be set!" Yuzu said blushing to the boys comment.
"Yeah..." Yuya said being reminded of his earlier match. Though Yuya started to vaguely remember what happend after his fusion monster was destroyed, he remembered Kachidoki's fearful expression after the duel and he couldn't get the image out of his mind.
Later
The teens sat down at the table after a late dinner due to the long time they spent at the stadium. "Goodnight everyone! Don't stay up too late. Yugo's duel will be at 9:30 AM tomorrow and they want all duelist to report to the stadium by 11:00 AM for info about the next round so you will need extra rest and a great breakfast tomorrow." Yoko said as the teens nodded.
"Alright, it's time to talk about what happend today." Yuto said as his face expressions became serious.
"Does this have to do with where you went after your match?" Yuzu asked.
"Yeah, it does. I got an anonymous message to meet in a certain spot in the stadium which I assumed was from Shun. I encountered two people with cloaks on. One had the same face as you, Yuzu. She also looked a lot like Ruri as well." Yuto said which made Yuzu and Yuya gasp.
"Wait was it Rin?!" Yugo shouted.
"No her name was Serena. Her and the other man, Barrett, they were from Academia." Yuto said.
"Academia is here?!" Yuya and Yuzu shouted in fear.
"I'm afraid so. It appears that the invasion of this dimension will start soon." Yuto said which worried Yuya and Yuzu greatly.
"What makes you say that?!" Yuya yelled in confusion and anger.
"I'll get to that part. When I was about to duel the girl, Reiji Akaba showed up insisting that he should duel instead." Yuto explained.
"So I guess he really is on our side..." Yuzu said.
"Yeah. I didn't want him to duel in my place but before the duel could start, the man named Barrett stepped in and Reiji and I teamed up. Reiji performed not only 3 fusion summons but also performed a Pendulum Xyz as well." Yuto said.
"Pendulum Xyz?! So he is improving his Pendulum summoning as well..." Yuya said.
"Yeah, Reiji managed to beat Barrett while I mainly focused on defeating the girl. When I had the chance to, Reiji signaled for me to hold back which I did. The duel ended with no conclusion since she excepted defeat because she had no reason to fight any longer and Reiji wanted to talk to her. Apparently, the girl came against the Professor's orders to...card Shun and I so she can have recognition from the professor. But, she isn't aware of the full extent of what she's doing and hasn't carded anyone yet so their still may be time for her to join our side." Yuto explained.

"Wow...so this Serena girl could be an enemy in the future if we don't convince her what she's doing is wrong, right?" Yugo asked and Yuto nodded.
"Yeah, she sure is tough. I honestly don't know what would've happened if I dueled her alone but I can tell she has a good heart." Yuto said.
"Well if that's the case, where did she go?" Yuzu asked Yuto.
"After Reiji talked to her, Barrett sent Academia Serena's location before being sent back to Academia which means that they know Serena is in standard." Yuto explained.
"So does that mean they are coming to Standard just to get Serena?" Yuya asked.
"Well, I have put together a theory. My friend Ruri...who looked like Yuzu and had a similar bracelet her whole life just like Yuzu, was captured by Academia. And the person that kidnapped her had the same face as me. I found that information out by my friend Sayaka who witnessed Ruri's capture. Usually, when a Academia duelist beats a Xyz duelist, or anyone in fact, they turn their opponent into a card." Yuto said which reminded the others the gravity of the situation.
"But they didn't card her, right?" Yuya said which made Yuto nod.
"Correct. The duelist from Academia who had the same face as me kidnapped Ruri after beating her in a duel. Also, Yugo's friend Rin was kidnapped by a person who's face also looked like his." Yuto said.
"Yup. The cloacked bastard kidnapped her while she was alone. When I found the guy, that kidnapped Rin, he had her in a dead end and as I saw his face, he activated a card on his duel disk and he vanished. And Rin also had that bracelet on that looks kinda like yours Yuzu now that I think about it." Yugo explained.
"And when Serena talked about her life in Academia, she said how the Professor never let her out and always kept her safe and locked away. Almost as if their was something important about her. Also, Barrett said that he was assigned to her as a body guard or something along those lines. That proves the statement that there is definitely something special about her. So in conclusion, two girls were kidnapped that have the same face and similar bracelets, while one was kept basically hostage. That means that soon...I'm sorry but Yuzu, you might be the next one on Academia's list." Yuto said which scared Yuzu and Yuya.
"Don't say stuff like that!" Yuya shouted.
"I'm sorry but we have to be ready. Since Academia knows that there are now 2 girls they are looking for in this dimension, they will be coming." Yuto said which scared the two standard counterparts even more.
"No! This can't be true! This can't be...this...damn!" Yuya yelled hitting his fist on the table. Yuzu looked at the boy and noticed his eyes faintly glowing.
"Yuya, calm down. It will be ok." Yuzu said putting her hand on his fist and her other hand on his shoulder.
"S-Sorry. I don't know what going on with me." Yuya admitted putting his hand on his forefead.
"I guess that should be the other thing we should talk about. Yuya, do you remember those last few turns against Kachidoki?" Yuto asked his standard look alike.
"It's coming back to me bit by bit. Right after Vortex Dragon got destroyed, I...I blacked out. The next thing I know is that I won the duel and Kachidoki expression was one of great fear. Through out the rest of the day, I started regaining my memory. I remember summoning a new monster, Odd Eyes Advance Dragon. And then shortly afterwards I summoned Odd Eyes Rebellion Dragon. And then I used a spell I've never even had to summon back Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon." Yuya summarized.
"Yuya you...it was almost like you...snapped." Yugo said which made him receive glares from Yuzu and Yuto.
"You're right. I don't know what, but something took over me. It was just like when I dueled Yugo after Yuto was knocked out." Yuya said.
"I've recovered most of my memory from that night. When Yuya summoned Odd Eyes Rebellion, for the first time, he looked similar to just his duel against Kachidoki. But in the duel against me, he wasn't acting so...twisted. It was more like pure anger during that night." Yugo said.
"Well, when he summoned that dragon, I felt a strong feeling in my chest. It was almost like I was connected to that dragon as well. Maybe it's because the dragon is a combination of our monsters. But, when he summoned the dragon against me, for the second time, Yuya was completely fine and so was I. But this time was different." Yuto explained as he remembered the events of the last few days.
"Maybe, the dragon is connected to my anger. And somehow, when my anger takes over, the dragon becomes more powerful." Yuya said.
"But what about the other dragon?" Yugo asked.
"Guys! Gongenzaka just messaged me to watch the news. It's about the tournament!" Yuzu said.
The teens turned on the news and there was a news reporter lady standing next to Nico Smiley.
"Hello ladies and gentleman! Right now, Nico Smiley, commentator of the Miami Championship is here to give everyone an update on around 3 of the tournament. So Nico, what do you have to tell us?" The last then gave the microphone to the man.
"On behalf of the sponsor of the tournament, LDS, I am here to say that round 3 of the tournament Junior Youth Division will be quite different than most people anticipated. Instead of having the traditional 1v1 duels, their will be...a 24 hours city wide Battle Royale! That's right folks! Battle Royale! The top 17 duelists will be participating to see who the top 8 duelist will be that move on to the next round!" Nico shouted as the 4 teens gasped.
"B-Battle Royale?!" Yugo shouted in confusion.
"24 hours?!" Yuzu shouted with a suprised expression.
"City Wide?!" Yuya added on.
"Interesting..." Yuto said.
"After the last duel of the round, Yugo Sakaki vs Olga, we will be starting round 3! So all duelist participating, please be at the stadium at 11:00 because the duelist will be released into the city at 12:00. More rules will be shared tomorrow." Nico said as the reporter took back the microphone. Yuya then turned the T.V. off and dropped the remote.
"This is...crazy..." Yuya uttered.
"Could this be related to Academia's arrival?" Yuzu asked.
"It could possibly be related. But it is apart of the tournament so we have to win." Yuto said.
"This is gonna be so much fun! I can't wait to bash everyone in this tournament! Besides you guys, of course." Yugo said excitedly.
"Woah, slow down there. You still have to win your match, right?" Yuzu said.
"Oh please. I got this." Yugo said crossing his arms.
"Let's hope so." Yuto said. "Since we are going to be participating for 24 hours, we will need a lot of sleep tonight. So let's get to bed early." Yuto said getting out of the chair.
"Aww, I don't want to go to bed..." Yugo pouted.
"You are going to bed, Yugo." Yuzu said pulling out her fan while giving a menacing look at the Speedroid user.
"Ack! Fine!" Yugo said getting up and running to his room.
"Goodnight guys." Yuto said as he walked to his room. He could tell Yuzu and Yuya needed to talk alone.
"Yuzu, I-" Yuya started before being cut off by the pink haired girl rapping her arms around him causing Yuya to blush.
"Yuya, don't ever scare me like that again." Yuzu said as her head was rested against the boys chest.
"Yuzu, I'm so sorry for making you worry about me. We have so much going on right now, and I don't know if I'm ready to battle in a war." Yuya said as he hugged her back. "Yuzu...I'll make sure nothing happends to you. I'll protect you from anyone who comes to hurt you."
"Yuya, promise me something. Promise me that no matter what happens, you'll always duel for what YOU believe in. No matter what." Yuzu said to the boy pulling her head back so that her head was directly infront of Yuya's.
"Ok. I promise. I'll never stop dueling for what I believe in." Yuya said to the girl.
"Good." Yuzu said before getting closer to the boy and kissing him. It lasted for a few seconds before they pulled back and hugged each other before they each went into their own bed room.
The next day
The You Show Duel school and Gongenzaka were in the stands cheering for Yugo as he stepped onto the field. On the other end of the field was a girl with a grey hat and a large blue winter coat.
"Alright! For the last match of round 2 we have Yugo Sakai, the Synchro duelist from You Show duel school vs Olga, from LDS's arctic campus! The action field in this duel will be the Action Field, Frost Fortress! Action Field On!" Nico shouted as the field turned into a ice rink battle field with obstacles made out of snow.
"I-Ice?!" Yugo shouted as he began to slip but regained his balance.
"Are you done fooling around?! Duelist locked in battle!" Olga shouted.
"Kicking against the ground and dancing in the air along side their monsters! They storm through this field!" Yugo shouted back.
"Behold this is the newest and greatest evolution of dueling!" Nico shouted.
"ACTION-"
"DUEL!"

"I'll take the first turn! I summon Arctic Beast Blizzard Wolf!" Olga said as the blue wolf appeared.

"I end my turn. Show me what you got!" Olga said to the boy who smiled back at her.
"Oh I'll show you!" Yugo said as he drew but the shift in movement caused him to slip and fall back.
"Is he ok?" Ayu said as Yuzu laughed nervously.
"A-Anyways, I'll activate the spell card Speed Draw! When I have no monsters on my field I can draw 2 cards! Then I can send a Speedroid monster from my hand to my grave. Next, I summon Speedroid Double Yo-Yo! and my monster's effect lets me special summon my tuner monster Speedroid Red Eyed Dice from my graveyard." Yugo shouted as the two monsters appeared.
"Yugo Sakaki has flooded the field with his monsters!" Nico shouted.
"Let's go! I'm tuning the level 1 Red Eyed Dice with my Level 4 Speedroid Double Yo-Yo! Synchro Summon! Overflowing with the throb of life, soul of the sword's dance! Come on out! Level 5! High-Speedroid Chanbarider!" Yugo shouted as the monster holding two swords appeared.

"Yugo Sakaki has Synchro Summoned already using an impressive strategy!" Nico shouted which excited the crowd.
"Big Bro Yugo Synchro Summoned!" The three kids yelled.
"Battle! Chanbarider Attack! And with it's effect it will be able to attack twice this turn and each time this card battles, it gains 100 ATK!" Yugo shouted as the monster rocketed towards the blue wolf getting ready to swing it's sword.

"Blizzard Wolf effect! When a monster declares an attack, I can negate that attack and special summon a level 4 or lower WATER monster from my hand! Come on out the tuner monster, Arctic Beast Polar Penguin!" Olga said with a grin as she summoned a Penguin covered in ice to the field.

"Well then I'll attack again-"
"Oh no you won't! Because when Polar Penguin is special summoned, it returns a monster on your field to your hand!" Olga said as Yugo grunted as he now has now monsters on his field.
"Damn. So that's why you left your monster so exposed." Yugo realized.
"That is correct. I noticed in your last duel you were a talented Synchro Duelist, so I knew you would bring one out as soon as you had the opportunity to do so." Olga said smiling.
"Tsk. I set one card face down. Turn end." Yugo said.
"My turn! I now tune my level 3 Polar Penguin with my level 4 Blizzard Wolf! Let your guard down and you're dead! It's piercing horn is just the tip of the ice berg! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 7! Arctic Beast Iceberg Narwhal!" Olga shouted as the monster made out of ice which had a ice head of an Narwhal on it's arm appeared.

"Olga has matched her opponent with an even stronger Synchro monster! What will Yugo do to retaliate?!" Nico shouted.
"Battle! Iceberg Narwhal direct attack!" Olga shouted as the monster charged at Yugo.
Yugo comically panicked as he tried to run on the ice but felt flat on his face. As the boy turned around, he saw that the monster was right over top of him which scared him greatly.
"I-I activate the trap card Speed Turn! Now your monster is switched into defense position and it looses 500 DEF!" Yugo countered but nothing happend. "What?!"
"Iceberg Narwhal can negate and destroy a spell or trap that was activated when this card attacks!" Olga explained before the monster jabbed the blade down at Yugo who rolled to his side barely dodging the blade.
YUGO: 4000-1300 LP
"I set a card facedown and end my turn." Olga said concluding her turn.
Yugo slowly got up after wobbling a bit. 'I gotta do something and fast!'
"Are you gonna take your turn?" Olga asked with an anointed expression.
"I'm just thinking, geez. My turn! Alright! Just what I needed!" Yugo said placing the card in his hand.
At that moment, Olga began skating on the ice searching for an Action Card. "I summon Speedroid Horse Stilts! Then it's effect lets me summon the tuner monster Speedroid Three-Eyed Dice from my hand!"

"Yugo's really good at special summoning monsters." Tastuya noticed.
"Now I tune my level 3 Three-Eyed Dice with my level 4 Horse Stilts! Spread those wonderous and beautiful wings and strike down our enemies at light speed! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 7! Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!" Yugo shouted as the white and blue dragon with a large tail and green crystals appeared.

"Nice monster you got there. But I'm afraid it's still to weak to touch my monster." Olga taunted.
"That's what you think! When a monster is special summoned I can special summon Speedroid 5-6-Plane to my field!" Yugo shouted as the red and yellow toy like plane appeared.

"And when my monster is special summoned, lowers your monster's ATK by 600! But Clear Wing's effect! When a Level 5 or higher monster is targeted by an effect I can negate and destroy that effect-"
"Your dragon won't get the chance to use it's effect! Because, I activate the Continous Trap Cold Gaze! Now as long as I have a Arctic Beast on the field, I can negate an effect that targets my monster and inflict 300 points of damage to the owner of that card!" Olga shouted as a powerful icy wind hit Yugo.
YUGO: 1300-1000 LP
"And now my Narwhal's effect! Whenever a player takes damage, my monster inflicts damage to you!" Olga shouted as her monster shot shards of ice at Yugo in which he barely dodged.
"Clear Wing's effect! It negates a level 5 or higher monster's effect and destroys it."
"Action Magic Runaway! I negate that effect and you take 500 damage." Olga said as she began skating back.
As the beam from Runaway was about to hit. Yugo dived on top of the cold icy floor as he grabbed an action.
"Action Magic Acceleration! I now reduce Run Away's effect damage to 0!" Yugo said as the beam broke away. But, Yugo was still hit by ice shards.
YUGO: 1000-700
"Damn it! I end my turn." Yugo grunted.
"My turn! Battle! This is the end! I attack Speedroid 5-6-Plane with Iceberg Narwhal! This duel is over!" Olga shouted as her monster charged at the Yugo's monster.
"I activate the effect of Three Eyed Dice in my grave! I banish it to negate that attack!" Yugo said as a triangle shaped barrier blocked the blade of the monster.
"So you managed to block my attack without spells or traps...in that case!" Olga said as she began skating through the action field looking for an Action Card. "Action Card Ice Bullet! You take damage equal to the amount of monsters on the field times 100!"
YUGO: 700-400 LP
"Then Narwhal deals that damage again!" She shouted as Yugo was hit with more shards of ice.
YUGO: 400-100
"Big Bro Yugo!" The three kids yelled.
"With an impressive move from Olga, Yugo Sakaki is already down to only 100 life points!"
"Turn end." Olga said.
"I will not lose! Draw!" Yugo said as he looked at his card and then smiled. "You know, your strategy reminds me of someone I know. That's why I'll be able to beat it!" He said thinking of Rin.
"Is that so?" Olga taunted.
"Oh I'll show you! First I activate the spell card, Speed Trap In! Now I tribute 5-6-Plane to special summon two Speedroid monsters in my grave with their effect negated that's levels are equal to the tributed monster's level! Come back! Red Eyed Dice! And also Speedroid Horse Stilts!" Yugo shouted as the his plane monster entered a portal and on the other end of the portal, two more Speedroids came out.
"So your going for another Synchro Summon?" Olga asked.
"Yup! I'm now tuning my level 1 Red Eyed Dice with my level 7 Clear Wing Synchro Dragon! Spread those wings shining with scared light. Strike down your enemies with that radiance! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 8! Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon!" Yugo shouted as the evolved form of his previous dragon appeared.
Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon (3000/2500) LVL:8
"Nice Yugo!" Shuzo shouted.
"Yugo Sakaki has summoned the monster that he used to claim victory in the last round! Will he be able to do the same again!"
"When my opponent special summons a monster I can activate the Continous Trap Frozen Gaze! Now when you declare an attack against a Artic Beast monster on my field you take 300 points of damage!" Olga shouted.
"Oh no! Now Yugo can't attack without losing!" Ayu said in fear.
"That won't stop me! I activate Speed Recovery! Come back Red Eyed Dice!" Yugo said as his monster reappeared.
"Is he going for a second Synchro Summon?" Yuzu said.
"Alright! I'm tuning my Level 1 Red Eyed Dice with my Level 4 Horse Stilts! Mechanized Warrior, protect everything with your shield! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 5! High Speedroid Mech-Guardna!" Yugo shouted as the blue mech with two green shields appeared. In size, the monster was as tall as Olga's Narwhal, but it's two shield's were as tall as it's body.
High Speedroid Mech-Guardna (500/1000) LVL:5
"Yugo Sakaki has Synchro Summoned once more!" Nico shouted as the crowd cheered.
"So what? Are you trying to set up defenses for my next turn now that you can't attack?" Olga asked.
"Who said I can't attack! Battle! Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon Attack Iceberg Narwhal! Krystallos Gale Edge!" Yugo shouted as his monster was enveloped in blue energy as it flew through the air charging at the monster.
"But your life will run out!" Olga shouted in confusion as her trap unleashed shards of ice at the boy. But suddenly, Yugo's other Synchro monster jumped in the way protectiong him.
Mech-Guardna (500/1000)-(500/1300)
"Mech Guardna's effect activates when I would take damage. It reduces the damage to 0 and it gains DEF equal to the damage I would have taken!" Yugo shouted.
"What?!" Olga said in awe.
"And don't forget Crystal Wing's effect! When my monster battles a level 5 or higher monster, Crystal Wing gains ATK equal to the attack of the monster that it's battling! Go!" Yugo shouted as his dragon closed in on Olga's monster.
Crystal Wing (3000/2500)-(5700/2500)
Olga quickly grabbed an action Card that was laying on the icy floor before the dragon hit the monster. "Action Card Miracle! The damage is halved and my monster isn't destroyed!"
OLGA: 4000-2500 LP
"So I couldn't get rid of your monster even with Crystal Wing?! Damn!" Yugo yelled stomping his foot and almost slipping on the ice.
"Stop pouting and end your turn!" Olga snapped at Yugo.
"I'm not finished yet! Now that my battle phase has ended, I activate the second effect of Mech-Guardna! Once per turn, I can send a card from my hand to the grave in order to gain life points equal to half of this card's defense points!" Yugo explained.
YUGO: 100-750
"Turn end!" Yugo said.
"My turn! I activate the spell card De-Synchro! I now return Arctic Beast Iceberg Narwhal back to the extra deck to summon it's Synchro materials!" Olga shouted as her monster disappeared and Blizzard Wolf and Polar Penguin reappeared.

"Wait why would you..." Yugo said to himself before realizing her plan.
"When Polar Penguin is special summoned, I can return a monster to your hand! I choose Crystal Wing!" Olga shouted as the her monster flapped it's wings shooting shards of ice at the dragon.
"I won't let you! Once per turn! Crystal Wing can negate the effect of a monster and destroy it! And then, this card gains attack equal to the destroyed monster's ATK!" Yugo shouted but Olga just smiled.
"I don't think so! I activate the second effect of Cold Gaze! By sending it from the field to the graveyard, I can negate a effect that would destroy a Arctic Beast monster I control! So your Crystal Wing has it's effects negated!" Olga shouted as Yugo's eyes widened.
"No..." Yugo said in fear.
Crystal Wing was hit the shards of ice and sent back to the extra deck.
"Battle! Blizzard Wolf Attack Mech-Guardna!" Olga yelled as the monster charged through the monster's shield destroying it.
"Now Go Polar Penguin! Attack directly! This is the end!" Olga shouted as the small monster charged at Yugo.
"He only has 750 life points left!" Ayu gasped.
"And that monster has 800 Attack!" Tastuya added on.
"If he doesn't defend he's gonna lose!" Futoshi yelled.
"I banish Mech-Guardna from my grave to activate it's effect! I negate one instance of battle damage or effect damage!" Yugo shouted as a ghostly form of his monster blocked the attack with it's shield.
"Interesting, you managed to block my attack again. Oh well. Now that my battle phase is over I tune my level 3 Polar Penguin to my Level 4 Blizzard Wolf once more! Come forth! Level 7! Arctic Beast Iceberg Narwhal!" Olga said resummoning her Synchro monster.
Arctic Beast Iceberg Narwhal (2700/1600) LVL:7
"Turn end. During the end phase where Cold Gaze was sent to the grave, you take 300 damage! And then you take 300 more points of damage due to Narwhal's effect!" Olga shouted as Yugo was hit by more shards of ice.
YUGO: 750-150 LP
"In an incredible turn of events, Olga has managed to get rid of Yugo's entire field! With no more defense, and barely any life points, what will he do now?!" Nico shouted.
'Damn, I don't have anymore defense moves left. She even got rid of Crystal Wing! I don't know what to do...I have no cards in my hand, no cards on my field...is it hopeless?' Yugo thought to himself as his hand was shaking.
"This duel is obviously over. Just give up!" Olga shouted at Yugo who flinched at the last part of what she said.
A few years ago
"Aaaaaah!" Yugo said as he and his chair fell backwards after Rin beat him in another duel.
"Welp that's another loss for you." Rin laughed.
"Hey I was close this time!" Yugo said getting up and slamming his fist on the table.
"Only because I let you~" Rin teased.
"Hey! If I'm going to become the Duel King, I'm going to have to defeat Jack Atlas! And if I can't beat you, I won't be ready!" Yugo yelled to the girl.
"Well I know that won't happen because I will be the one who becomes the Duel Queen!" Rin said back.
"Oh no you won't! Because Clear Wing and I will be the ones to win!" Yugo shouted picking up his Clear Wing Synchro Dragon off of the table and holding it up.
"You know, you are the worst at giving up." Rin said crossing her arms. "But, I guess that's one of your best qualities."
She reached over the table and ruffled the boys hair which made him blush. "Hehe. I guess your right. Anyways, I'm gonna win this time!"
"Oh we'll see about that!" Rin said smiling.
Yugo smiled thinking about the time he had with Rin. He knew what he was fighting for. He couldn't give up.
"Yugo! You can do it!" Yuya shouted from the stands as the rest of the YouShow group and Gongenzaka cheered.
Yugo looked up and smiled at his friends cheers. He wasn't only fighting for Rin, but his new friends as well.
"Are you going to make your move?" Olga asked.
"Yup! My turn, Draw!" Yugo said waving his arm back as he drew. "Alright! I activate the spell card Draw of Fate! Now I roll a dice and I draw cards equal to the number the dice lands on. Then, I send the top card of my deck to the grave equal to the amount drawn!"
The dice appeared from the card and it began spinning. Yugo smirked before raising his fist in the air, "Go Dice Roll!"
The whole crowd was on the edge of their seat as the dice hit the ground and rolled.
The dice landed on...
"Four!" Yugo shouted in excitement as the crowd cheered. "Now I draw 4 cards and send the top four from my deck to the grave."
"What luck." Olga said crossing his arms.
"Well, in order to be a good duelist, you need a combination of luck and skill! And I have just that! In fact, these cards are just what I needed to win this duel!" Yugo said with full confidence.
"Yugo sure seems confident..." Yuto said noticing his look alike's sudden change of emotion.
"Yeah, lets just hope he can pull this off." Yuzu said.
"I activate the spell card Monster Reborn! Come back to me! Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!" Yugo shouted as his ace monster reappeared.
"Summoning back that monster, eh?" Olga said.
"Yup! But first..." Yugo began slowly skating on the ice. He eventually started to pick up speed as he glided through the field.
'Just like riding a D-Wheel, just gotta focus on what's head and trust myself!' Yugo thought to himself as he continued to take bigger steps which increased his speed.
Olga saw what he was doing and began skated next to him. They raced for the action card that was ahead of them. They both reached down for the card as they continued to skate at full speed.
"The Action Card is mine!" They both shouted as the Action Card was grabbed by one of them but the crowd couldn't see which one.
"Alright! I got it!" Yugo shouted holding the card up in the air as the rest of the crowd cheered.
"He did it!" The three kids yelled.
"Next I activate the spell card Rush Recklessly! Now my monster gains 700 ATK!" Yugo shouted as his dragon roared.
Clear Wing (2500/2000)-(3200/2000)
"So what? Just because it's stronger, doesn't mean that you will win! Frozen Gaze will deal you 300 points of damage and you will lose when you attack!" Olga said.
"That effect only works if I attack an Arctic Beast monster! And all I have to do to get around that effect is take out your monster! And I'll do it just like this! I activate the spell card Synchro Cracker! Now I return Clear Wing to the extra deck and destroy all your monsters with lower Attack!" Yugo shouted as his dragon roared as it turned into green energy that blasted towards Olga's monster destroying it.
"Ha! You've just sealed your fate! Because when there are no more Arctic Beast monsters on the field, Frozen Gaze is is destroyed and you take 300 damage!" Olga shouted as a blast of many shards of ice shot at Yugo.
"I activate the quick play spell Synchro Deflect! Since I control a Synchro Monster, I can negate that effect damage!" Yugo said as Clear Wing protected Yugo from the damage by shielding him with the dragon's back.
"Yugo Sakaki has destroyed Olga's field and managed to dodge a finishing blow at the same time!" Nico shouted as the crowd continued to cheer.
"Thank you Clear Wing."
"Well Yugo knows how to put on a great entertainment duel, that's for sure." Yuzu said to herself as she heard the crowds cheers.
"I'm not done yet! I activate the effect of the Synchro Drift Trap Card in my grave that was sent there through the effect of Draw of Fate! By banishing it, I can summon a level 7 or lower Synchro Monster that was sent to the graveyard or extra deck during this turn by card effect! Come on back once more, Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!" Yugo shouted as the white and blue dragon with green crystals appeared after flying through the air.
"N-No way..." Olga uttered at the sight of the dragon.
"Next I'll equip the spell card Soaring Wings to my Clear Wing! Battle!-"
"At the start of the battle phase, when I have no monster's on my field I can summon Blizzard Wolf from my graveyard in attack mode!" Olga shouted as the blue wolf appeared.
"Now she can negate Yugo's next attack!" Tastuya said in a worried tone.
"Battle! Clear Wing Synchro Dragon Attack Blizzard Wolf! Whirlwind Helldive Slasher!" Yugo shouted as his monster monster flew through the air and charged at the blue wolf.
"I activate the effect of Blizzard Wolf! The attack is negated!" Olga shouted.
"Nope! When the equiped monster battles, Soaring Wings prevents you from activating card effects during the battle!" Yugo shouted.
"What?!" Olga said in horror.
OLGA: 2500-1400 LP
"And then I activate the other effect of Soaring Wings! I can discard a card and send itself to the grave in order to let the equiped monster to attack again!" Yugo shouted as he discarded the action card he picked up earlier.
"N-No Way!" Olga said stepping back.
"Let's end this! Clear Wing Synchro Dragon Direct Attack!" Yugo shouted as his dragon charged a green blast in it's mouth and fired it at Olga who took the blast head on.

WINNER: YUGO
"Aaaaand the winner of this duel is Yugo Sakaki!" Nico shouted as the rest of the crowd roared and cheered for Yugo who smiled and waved his hand. Afterwards, he walked over to his opponent.
"That was an awesome duel! We really got the crowd going." Yugo said smiling at the girl who nodded excepting his handshake.
"Your right. But if we ever duel again, I'll be the winner!" Olga said as she walked off the field waving.
"He did it!" The three kids shouted.
"Hot Blooded!" Shuzo shouted in excitement as the others laughed.
"Good job Yugo!" Yuya shouted.
'I did it, Rin.' Yugo thought to himself. He was going to save her. No matter what.
Later
"You really have thought this through, Reiji." The pink haired woman, Himika said to the older teen.
"If we broadcasted that their would be invaders from another dimension arriving any moment, the city would dissolve into panic. So instead we will release the top 17 Junior Youth class into the city and have them take out the enemy in the battle royale. The top 8 of the Youth class will intercept the invaders. The plan is much smoother since they are all from LDS." Reiji explained.
"For the honor of LDS and to protect our world, we are counting on you." Himika said.
"Yes ma'am." The 8 replied.
"I'm show you already know but Shun, your job is to find the duelist with potential out of the 16 other participants to see which of them I worthy of becoming a ln lancer."
"So you don't want me to fight the enemie then? I can't promise that. When these 8 get wiped out, I'll have no choice but to take part." Shun said as he leaned against the wall of Reiji's office. The Youth classman were very pissed but they knew that Reiji held the duelist in high regard so they kept their mouths shut.
A little while later
"Alright everyone! These 17 competitors will be going head to head in the City Wide Battle Royale to decide the top 8 of the Junior Youth Division! The action card will be spread across the fuel day exactly noon which is when the battle royale will begin. There are Pendulum Cards made by LDS themselves which will be hidden among the city. You must have atleast two before competeinf in your first duel. Each duelist will wage their Pendulum Cards and the winner will get the amount that was bet. The time limit is 24 hours! Also, the city will be turned into an action field called Wonder Quartet. This means that their will be four different sections of the action field. The contestants will be allowed to battle in any of these four arenas!" Nico shouted.
"So there really will be Pendulum cards..." Yuya said.
"Well we'll just have to find as many as we can!" Yugo said smiling.
The clock struck 11:57 as Nico began to speak again. "Gates open!" He yelled as the tunnel began to open revealing the city. "Duelists locked in battle! Kicking against the earth and dancing in the air alongside their monsters! They storm through the field! Behold this is the newest and greatest evolution of dueling!"
"ACTION-"
"DUEL!"
The 17 contestants sprinted out of the tunnel each heading in separate directions. Little did they know what they were really getting into.
YAYYYYYYYYYYY! Finally done and moving on to the Battle Royale! I can't believe this has come so far and I'm so happy to be writing this. The last two chapters have been hard to write since I've been typing in my phone because my computer has been running slow lately. So thanks for all your support! Anyways, I wanted to have the first part of the chapter go over some things like the girl's capture and Yuya's berserk mode. Also, I used the new printed effects of Olga's two non effect monsters while I used the anime effect for her Synchro monster. I thought the duel was fun to write and making Yugo look cool with those spells at the end was fun. He's a good character/duelist that has good strategies. Anyways, next chapter will start with some duels that are changed but also happens in the anime. But I don't know if Yugo and Yuto will duel that chapter. Maybe?

Also, I'm probably going to change the Ritual monsters to more fit the story, I really like them, but I'm mostly going to keep the effects and change the monster up a bit. I just really like them being dragons. BUT this isn't 100% and I will still give credit to you.

Read the whole thing and you can see Yuya activates a spell called Xyz Performance. It let him Xyz summon during the battle phase.
