Hey guys, today I have got a pretty out of the blue duel for y'all. Just a warning, this is a shorter chapter so don't be complaining in the reviews. I started writing it while I was traveling to a baseball tournament and I decided to work it into the story! It may not be that long or it may not have as much quality as my other duels, but I originally wasn't planning on putting a Duel in this chapter. SO YOU ARE LUCKY! Academia, Professor's Chambers
In his large chamber, The Professor, or Leo Akaba, sat on his throne with an angry look.
"Greetings, Professor." A man said walking up to the throne. He was extremely pale and had long grey hair. He wore a yellow shirt with a black coat and grey pants.
"Hello, Doktor." The Professor said.
"I assume you already know why I am here, yes?"
"Correct. Have you done what you had promised?" The Professor asked.
"Yes I have! The girls are fully ours to control! They have lost all free will and now have no emotional attachments." The Doktor said with a sinister tone.
"...let me see them."
The Doktor grinned as two teenage girls walked into the room.
One had short green hair with a blue and white jacket that had pink pads on her shoulders and elbows. She also wore pink shorts and white and pink long boots. The girl had abnormal lifeless orange eyes.
The other girl had long dark purple hair along with violet bangs. She wore a grey shirt with a cream colored top. She also wore dark black leggings and had brown boots. She had a long red scarf hanging from her waist. The girl also had abnormal lifeless pink eyes.
"..." The Professor didn't know how to react when he saw the two girls. He was happy that the girls were now his to control but it didn't feel great to see two girls who looked like younger versions of his daughter in a completely lifeless state. 'They aren't her. They are just fragments that are keeping me from seeing her.'
"Ruri. Rin. Who are you loyal to?" The Doktor asked.
"I am loyal to Academia, The Doktor, and The Professor." Both girls said in unison.
"Excellent! After dueling against multiple Academia duelists, they haven't lost and they have been able to use the monsters I have given them! They truly are amazing experiments!" The Doktor said.
"Are you saying what I think you are saying?" The Professor asked.
"These girls should be used in the field! They would definitely be great weapons in the upcoming fights with those Lancers from Standard." The Doktor said.
"No!" The Professor shouted in a protective tone.
"Sir?"
"I'm sorry." The Professor said grasping his head. What had come over him? He knew these girls weren't his daughter, but he is treating them like they are. "These girls are important for the future. If something were to happen to them on the battle field, all would be lost."
"But these two are more than capable to fight for Academia."
"...Then how about a...test." The Professor said.
"That's exactly what we need! These girls will beat whoever you want them to so they can prove their strength!" The Doktor exclaimed.
"Very well. Bring the girls to Duel Court A and there challenger will meet them."
"Challenger? Just one? Do you underestimate these two that much?"
"On the contrary, Doktor." The Professor said before walking out of his room.
Later
The two girls stood in the duel court waiting for there opponent while the two men and some scientist watched from the Observation room that was above the duel court.
"So, who is this duelist anyways?" The Doktor asked.
"Here he comes." The Professor said.
From the tunnel, foot steps echoed through out the entire duel court as a boy with purple and pink hair with pink eyes stepped out into view.
"Y-Yuri?!" The Doktor nervously said.
"Hey ladies~. It's nice to see you both again."
"So you are our opponent?" Rin said .
"This will be easy!" Ruri said.
"Hmm. So you don't remember me from our last encounter, eh? Those things that the Doktor put in your heads sure messed up your brains. What a shame. I was looking forward to seeing your scared looks when you saw me. But I guess this will do." Yuri said readying his duel disk.
"We will beat you..."
"...For the Doktor!"
"DUEL!"
RURI: 4000 LP RIN:4000 LP VS YURI: 4000 LP
"Since I'm outnumbered, I'll take the first turn!" Yuri shouted as he drew. "I activate the spell card Fusion! I fuse Predator Plants Easter Lily Lizard and Predator Plants Darling Cobra!"
"As expected of Yuri, a Fusion Summon in the first turn." The Doktor observed.
"Two beautiful plants with a insect alluring fragrance! Now become one and bring forth the plant of pure horror! Fusion Summon! Come forth! Level 7! Predator Plants Chimeraflessia!" Yuri shouted with a grin as a large and menacing plant monster appeared beside him.

"I set one card face down, Turn End." Yuri concluded.
"My turn! I summon Lyrical Luscina Cobalt Sparrow! And if I control another Lyrical Luscina monster besides a Sapphire Swallow I can special summon Sapphire Swallow and another Sapphire Swallow from my hand!" Ruri explained as three small humanoid birds appeared on the field.

"Then since I summoned Cobalt Sparrow I add another copy to my hand and then special summon another copy of my Sapphire Swallow and Colbalt Sparrow!" Ruri continued as two more monsters appeared.
"5 monsters...just like last time we dueled. And you know how that turned out for you~" Yuri taunted.
"I now overlay my 2 Sapphire Swallows and 3 Cobalt Sparrows!" She said as the blue and brown birds turned into Green energy. "Using these monsters I build the overlay network! Birds with Beautiful Wings, Gather on the battlefield and take brilliant flight! Xyz Summon! Take flight in the sky! Rank 1! Lyrical Luscinia Assembly Nightingale!" Ruri chanted as a beautiful humanoid bird appeared with a blue and green body and white wings for arms along with 5 green overlay units circling her.

"My turn! I activate the Spell card Wind-Calling Bell Chime! This card lets me special summon a Wind Witch form the deck by revealing my Ice Bell in my hand! Come on out Wind Witch Ice Bell! Then I'll summon my revealed Ice Bell!

"Now my Ice Bells' effects activate when they are summoned! They deal you 500 points of damage each!" Rin said as her monsters shot beans from their wands at Yuri who took the blast head on.

"Now I'm tuning my two level 3 Ice Bell's with my level 1 Snow Bell! Midwinter wind, harness the power of ice and snow and blow a storm! Synchro Summon! Come Forth! Level 7! Wind Witch Winter Bell!" Rin shouted as her ace monster appeared.

"Wow...so this is your Synchro Summoning. I'm starting to regret that I wasn't able to duel you back when I captured you. But there's no time better than the present after all!" Yuri said with a smirk.
"Winter Bell's effect activates! It can copy the effects of Ice Bell in the graveyard! Now, take 500 more points of damage!" Rin shouted.

"Hmph, I burn strategy that revolves around reusing effects...interesting!"
"I set one card face down, turn end." Rin concluded.
"My turn! I summon Predator Plants Cephalotusnail!" Yuri shouted as a plant with a white body and mouth with sharp teeth appeared next to himself.

"Let's go! Battle! Predator Plants Chimerflessia, attack Wind Witch Winter Bell! At this moment, Chimeraflessia's effect activates! Your monster loses 1000 ATK while my monster gains 1000 ATK!"
"I won't let you! Trap Activate! Lost Wind! Your monsters effects are negated and it's ATK is cut in half!" Rin shouted as a black gust of win shot out from the Trap and weakened the Plant.
Chimerflessia (2500/2000)-(1250/2000)
"And your attack still continues! Counter Attack, Winter Bell!" Rin shouted.
"There will be no counter attack...Quick Play Spell Predator Prime Fusion, activate! While I control a Predator Plants monster, I can Fusion Summon using DARK monsters!" Yuri said with a sinister smile as his monsters began to swirl in the Fusion Vortex.
"What?!" Rin shouted.
"Two beautiful plants with an insect alluring fragrance, become one and take the form of a hellish beast that devours it's prey! Fusion Summon! Come forth! Level 8! Predator Plants Dragostapelia!" Yuri shouted as a large dragon-like plant monster appeared with a loud roar on Yuri's field.

"Dragostapelia, Attack Wind Witch Winter Bell! Dragonic Venom!" Yuri shouted as his monster destroyed the Synchro monster with a powerful purple blast.
RIN: 4000-3700 LP
"Turn end. Now, entertain me~!" Yuri said with a sinister smile.
"My turn! Assembly Nightingale can attack you directly equal to the amount of overlay units it has!" Ruri shouted.
"With 5 overlay units...and 500 ATK..." The Doktor uttered.
"She should be able to deal 2500 ATK and win." The Professor said. But, he didn't expect it to end that easily. Even so, despite these girls only being fragments of Ray, they certainly were strong duelists.
"I won't let you! Trap Activate! Ridicule World! Now all monsters on your field gains 100 ATK!"
Assembly Nightingale (500/0)-(600/0)
"Also, monsters with ATKs that are higher than there original ATKs cannot attack! Therefor, you birdy can't touch me!" Yuri mocked.
"Tsk. Turn End." Ruri concluded as her monster's ATK returned to normal.
"My turn! I activate the spell card Monster Reborn! Revive, Winter Bell!" Rin shouted as her ace Synchro monster reappeared.
"That monster again..."
"Then, I activate her effect which copies Ice Bell's effect in the graveyard! Since she was summoned, you take 500 points of damage!"
"Not so fast! Dragostapelia's effect activates! Once per either player's turn, I can place a Predator Counter on your monster! It has it's level reduced to 1 and it's effects are negated!" Yuri countered. "What will you do now without your silly effect damage?"

"Just watch and see! I activate the Equip Spell Synchro Booster! Winter Bell gains 500 ATK and 1 level!"

"Battle! Winter Bell Attack! Wind Shot!" Rin shouted as her monster sent a powerful blast of green and blue wind that destroyed the dragon-like plant.
YURI: 2500-2300 LP
"Turn End." Rin concluded.
"My turn! After the Standby phase where Chimerafflesia was sent to do the graveyard, I can add a Fusion Card from my deck to my hand! I set 2 cards face down, Turn End." Yuri concluded with a confident smirk.

"Trap Activate! Necro Fusion! I banish Predator Plants Chimeraflessia, Cephalotusnail, and Easter Lily Lizard to Fusion Summon!"
"A Fusion Summon...through a Trap Card..." Ruri said with a shocked expression.
"Toxic beast! Become one with the beautiful and dangerous plants and bloom into the mightiest abomination! Fusion Summon! Come forth! Level 9! Predator Plants Triphyovertum!" Yuri shouted with an evil grin as a massive green three headed plant-like beast appeared with large wings and a large claws.

"My monster gains ATK equal to the ATKs of monsters with Predator counters! Since Winter Bell has one, Triphyovertum gains it's ATK!" Yuri explained.

"It's doesn't matter! Assembly Nightingale can attack you directly 5 times! You still lose!"
"I don't think so! Continuous Trap, Predator Vine Chain, activate!" Yuri shouted as thorny vines shot out from the Trap and wrapped around the bird like monster.
"What is this?!"
"While I control a Predator Plants Fusion Monster, I can equip this card to a monster on your field! The equipped monster has it's effects negated and it can't attack or change battle positions! Also, you take 600 damage at the end of each of your turns as long as your monster is on the field!"

"Damn you! I set one card face down, Turn End."

"My turn! I activate the spell card Wind Witch Vortex! I can destroy spell or traps on the field equal to the amount of Wind Witch monsters on my field!" Rin shouted as Yuri's trap was destroyed by a strong wind blast.

"Hahaha! I knew one of you would do that, so thank you! When this card is destroyed while face up in the field, I gain life points equal to the original ATK of one Predator Plants monster in my field!" Yuri shouted with a sinister grin.

"Damn, I switch Winter Bell to defense mode, turn end."
"My turn! Battle! I attack Lyrical Luscinia Assembly Nightingale with Triphyovertum! Giga Toxic Crush!" Yuri commanded his monster.
"By using an overlay unit, my monster isn't destroyed and I take no damage!" Ruri countered.

"I activate the Quick Play Spell Predator Thorn Whip! Since my monster failed to destroy yours, it is destroyed and the activation of it's effects are negated!"
"Trap Activate! Lyrical Song Barrier! Lyrical Luscinia monsters can't be destroyed by battle or card effect this turn!" Ruri countered.
"Eh? Oh well, this duel will be over soon enough.Turn End." Yuri concluded.
"My turn!" Ruri shouted as she drew. She looked at the card and a sinister smile appeared on her face.
"Eh?" Yuri let out with a confused look.
"Assembly Nightingale can attack equal to the amount of times it has overlay units! Battle! First Attack!"

"Wow...these attacks are just annoying as last time we dueled." Yuri said patting the dust off his clothes after getting up from the continuous attacks.
"I activate the Quick Play Spell Lyrical Luscinia Bird Song! I can special summon 1 Level 1 monster from my hand in defense mode! Appear, Parasite Fusioner!" Ruri shouted as a creepy bug monster appeared.

"So this is the card that the Doktor has been working on..." Yuri realized.
"When Parasite Fusioner is summoned, I can perform a Fusion Summon using it as a substitute for one of the materials!" Ruri shouted as the two monsters rose in the Fusion Vortex.
"What?"
"Song of the night bird singing through the night! Become one with the inner voice and let your cry echo louder! FUSION SUMMON! Come forth! Level 1! Elegant bid of the night, Lyrical Luscinia Independent Nightingale!" Ruri shouted as a red and dark blue version of her ace monster appeared.
Lyrical Luscinia Independent Nightingale (1000/0) LVL:1
"Sir, her Fusion Summon energy levels are equal, if not greater than most of Academia!" One of the scientist said looking at his screen.
"...I see." The Professor said.
"Excellent! My parasites are working perfectly!" The Doktor said with an evil smile.
"So you have the ability to Fusion Summon now? Interesting." Yuri said with an excited tone. This was getting even more fun for him.
"Independent Nightingale gains a level for each of the Overlay units her fusion material had...and then gains ATK equal to her level times 500!" Ruri explained as a dark aura enveloped her monster.
Independent Nightingale (1000/0)-(3500/0) LVL:1-5
"Your monster is strong, but it's nowhere near the power of my monster." Yuri taunted.
"Independent Nightingale's other effect! You take damage equal to her level times 500!" Ruri shouted as her monster flapped her wings causing Yuri to be blown to the ground.

"Reducing my life so much just in one turn..." Yuri said as he got up before smiling.
"Turn End." Ruri concluded.
"My turn!" Rin said immediately after, almost as if her and Ruri were in sync. "I activate the Quick Play Spell Call of the Wind Witch! I can special summon a monster from my hand that has a lower level than Winter Bell! Since her current level is 2...I can special summon a level 1 monster! Appear, Parasite Fusioner!"

"So using that spell to increase your monster's level was apart of your plan for summoning your Parasite...impressive." Yuri acknowledged.
"And since Parasite Fusioner was special summoned, I can perform a Fusion Summon using itself and Winter Bell! Sound of the winter wind throught the snow! Combine with the inner voice and intensify the ringing bells! Fusion Summon! Come forth! Level 8! The crystal bell that sounds solemnly! Wind Witch Crystal Bell!"

"And since Winter Bell left the field, your plant loses it's ATK boost!" Rin shouted while pointing at the giant Fusion.
Triphyovertum (5900/3000)-(3000/3000)
"Tsk." Yuri let out with an annoyed expression.
"I activate the Quick Play spell card Revenge of the Wind Witch! When a level 7 or lower Wind Witch leaves the field, another Wind Witch gains ATK equal to half of the original ATK of the monster that left the field until the end of the turn!" Rin shouted as the spirit of Winter Bell appeared behind her new Fusion Monster.
Crystal Bell (2800/2400)-(4000/2400)
"Crystal Bell's effect! She copies Ice Bell's effect in the graveyard and you take 500 Damage!" Rin shouted.
YURI: 1800-1300 LP
"Battle! Crystal Bell, attack that over grown plant!" Rin commanded her monster as it shot a powerful blast of ice shards and wind towards the plant which caused a huge explosion that sent Yuri tumbling to the ground.

"HAHA! You don't stand a chance against the brilliant creations of the Doktor!"
"Surrender now, or prepare to feel our monster's wrath!"
Ruri and Rin laughed as they mocked limp body of Yuri who began to get up.
"I told you Professor! My new experiments are proven to even be able to defeat the elite of Academia! Even Yuri!" The Doktor said.
"The duel isn't over yet." The Professor said while his eyes remained on the boy.
"...he...he...hehehe...HAHAHAHAHAHA!"
"What? Why are you laughing?" Ruri asked.
"You have lost!" Rin shouted.
"This...is amazing! I didn't think you would be able to top off the duels I had with those two from standard, but you sure have!" Yuri said with a sinister tone.
"Just start you turn!" Ruri shouted.
"Fine...you asked for it. MY TURN!"
"As if I'd ever let you get the chance! During either player's turn, I can activate the effect of Revenge of the Wind Witch in my graveyard! By banishing it, I can treat a Wind Witch as being special summoned this turn! Then I activate Crystal Bell's effect and she copies Ice Bell's effect! Since this card was special summoned this turn, you take 500 points of damage and lose!"
"I activate Predator Plants Utriculiara Snake's effect in my hand! I can negate an instance of effect damage and then I summon it!" Yuri countered as a snake shaped plant appeared.

"Damn it!" Rin shouted.
" I activate the Equip Spell Predator Graft! I summon Predator Plants Skid Drosera and equip it with this card!" Yuri shouted.

"And when this card is special summoned, I can add a Fusion Card from my deck to my hand!"
"Those pathetic monsters don't stand a chance against the creations of the Doktor!" Ruri shouted.
"You'll pay for that comment. I activate the Spell Card Fusion! I fuse Fly Hell and Skid Drosera! Two beautiful plants with an insect alluring fragrance! Now become one, and from the hell beneath your petals, give birth to a new terror! Fusion Summon! Come Forth! Level 8! Starve Venom Fusion Dragon!" Yuri shouted as his ace dragon appeared with a ferocious roar.

"That dragon..." Ruri said as she experienced a flashback of Yuri using the dragon to win their first duel.
"Starve Venom's effect! Since both Fusion Materials were on the field, Starve Venom gains ATK equal to the ATKs of all your Special Summoned monsters!"
"What?!" Rin shouted.
Starve Venom (2800/2000)-(9100/2000)
"That's a lot of ATK..." Rin uttered.
"I-It doesn't matter! You won't be able to both of us! And on the next turn, one of us will win!" Ruri shouted as both of the girls smirked. But, their smirk's faded when they saw the demonic look on their opponent's face.
"You think so?" Yuri said with a sinister tone.
"What?!" Both girls said.
"Starve Venom's other effect! Once per turn, Starve Venom can target a level 5 or higher monster, negate it's effects, and then steals them! I choose to steal Independent Nightingale's effects!
"What?!" Ruri shouted.
"Do it, Starve Venom! Noxious Drain!" Yuri shouted as his monster wrapped one of it's vines around the monster.
Independent Nightingale (3500/0)-(1000/0)
"And since Starve Venom gained your monster's effects, my dragon gains ATK equal to his level times 500! And since Starve Venom is level 8...THAT MEANS MY PRECIOUS DRAGON GAINS 4000 MORE ATK!"
Starve Venom (9100/2000)-(13100/2000)
"1-13100 ATK...that's insane!" The Doktor said astonished.
"Y-You still can't beat both of us!" Rin shouted.
"I activate the other effect that Starve Venom gained from Independent Nightingale! You take damage equal to Starve Venom's level times 500!"
"No way..." Both girls uttered.
"NOW TAKE 4000 POINTS OF DAMAGE AND DIE FROM YOUR OWN MONSTER'S EFFECT!" Yuri shouted pointing at Ruri.
Ruri's eyes widened as the dragon mimicked the bird monster's effect and shot a powerful wind blast that sent Ruri flying through the air.
"AHHHH!"
RURI: 3400-0 LP
Ruri hit the ground hard and fell unconscious.
"Oh No!" The Doktor panicked.
"BATTLE! GO, STARVE VENOM FUSION DRAGON! ATTACK WIND WITCH CRYSTAL BELL! VENOMOUS ROOT BURST!" Yuri commanded. His monster extended it's roots outwards and shot a powerful blast of energy towards the Fusion monster.
"AHHHH!" Rin shouted as a huge explosion sent her flying through the air.
RIN: 3700-0 LP
WINNER: YURI!
"Heh. Nice work, Starve Venom." Yuri said patting his dragon before it disappeared.
"...Impossible...this can't be happening..." The Doktor said covering his face with both of his hands.
"The girls lost and they are too important to be carded..so you know what that means..." The Professor said turning towards the pale man.
"N-No! Please...have mercy..." The Doktor said falling to the ground out of nervousness.
The Professor looked down at the man with stone cold eyes and raised his duel disk.
"...please..." The Doktor whimpered.
The Professor signed before lowering his duel disk.
"Doktor...your creations have amazing potential, and so do these girls. You were right. With there new power, these two can be great assets for upcoming battles. Plus, your creations will be needed later on when the other two are captured. So, you have my mercy...this time." The Professor said before walking off.
"Wow, you both sure were a lot of fun." Yuri said towering above the two unconscious look alikes.
"Yuri." The Professor said as he entered the duel court.
"Greetings, Professor. Are you satisfied with my victory over these two."
"...Yes I am." The Professor said as he kneeled down to where the two girls were knocked out.
"By the way, may I ask why do these two look like...her?" Yuri said.
"That is something that you do not need to worry about." The Professor said.
"And where is she, anyways. I noticed that her tower is no longer guarded." Yuri said crossing his arms.
"She has...joined the enemy." The Professor said.
"The Lancers that Dennis was talking about, eh? She always was a rebellious girl." Yuri said.
The Professor sighed before getting up and facing Yuri. "Your next assignment will be given to you soon."
"And may I ask what exactly that will be?" Yuri asked.
"You will be assigned to capture Yuzu Hiiragi, once more." The Professor answered.
"Damn that girl. I was having a fun duel but she got in the way and somehow, I ended up back at Academia."
"I'm aware. And I will not tolerate any more defeats. We've already had Johan, Manjoume, and Darkness lose to the duelists in Standard. And Hell Kaiser reported that he was unable to complete his assignment due to the duel abruptly ending."
"I see...at least I'll get to duel Yuzu and maybe that other guy again." Yuri said.
"And I expect you to win." The Professor said.
"I'm well aware. I could also capture Sere-"
"That will not be necessary. I have another agent on that assignment." The Professor said.
"May I ask who?"
"Sora Shuin'in." The Professor answered.
"I see. Anyways, I'm going to get some rest. Seeya, Professor." Yuri said to the man before walking away.
"This is all for you, Ray." The Professor said as he looked at Ruri and Rin before ordering Obelisk Force Soldiers to take the two girls back to their towers.
Standing near the doorway, Sora had just witnessed the previous events and was left utterly shocked.
"This what they'll do to Yuzu...experimenting on her and putting a Parasite in her head...I can't betray Academia but...I can't let them do that to Yuzu either..."
Standard
Serena, Yuzu, Yugo, Yuto, and Yuya were standing outside of the LDS building with there friends and family waiting for them.
"I don't want my baby girl to leave so sooooon..." Shuzo said hugging his daughter while comedically crying.
"Dad relax! I'm going to be ok! I'm not going to be alone." Yuzu told her dad trying to calm him down.
"I'm going to...miss you so muuuccchh..."
"I'm going to miss you too. But it won't be too long. I promise I'll be back soon."
"Don't worry Shuzo. I'll make sure Yuzu gets home safely. I owe her so much already." Serena said.
"Thank you...Serena..." Shuzo said wiping his tears.
"Yuya, you've grown so much. Your dad would be so proud of you." Yoko said placing her hand on her son's shoulder.
"Mom..." Yuya uttered before hugging his Mom. "I'm going to make sure no one else is hurt. I'm going to help to put an end to this war. I'm going to come back home. I promise."
"Oh Yuya..." Yoko said as a tear former in her eye. "Yuto, Yugo, you two take care, ok? Watch each other's backs out there."
"Don't worry! We'll be fine!" Yugo said.
"I'll make sure that Yuya and Yuzu get back here safely." Yuto said.
"When you all get back, we'll have a big party for you all! And I'll make pancakes!" Yoko said cheerfully.
"Pancakes!" Yuya exclaimed.
"Yummy! Now we have no choice but to come back!" Yugo shouted.
"Good luck! Bye!" The three kids waved as the 5 teens walked into the large building.
A little while later
The 5 teens met up with Gongenzaka who was already inside and they were led by Nakajima to the room with the rest of the Lancers.
"Gongenzaka...your face..." Yuya commented on the fact that the Samurai user had multiple bandages on his face.
"I...had a serious duel with my father in order to prove my strength so I could leave." Gongenzaka said.
"I had something similar..." Yuya said thinking back to the duel with his Mom.
Nakajima opened the doors revealing multiple teens standing in the room. Standing off to the side was Shun and standing near the middle of the room was Tsukikage, Dennis, and Sawatari. Towards the door were Masumi, Yaiba, Hokuto, and Roy.
"Yuya Sakaki, you and your friends are late! You are a 100,000 years to early to be keeping me waiting."
"I really don't know whether you are getting at early or late with that analogy." Dennis said.
"No one asked you!" Sawatari shouted.
"Shun!" Yuto said walking over to his friend.
"It's about god damn time we leave this dimension." Shun said.
"Yeah..." Yuto said. It was nice being in a warm home and having friends, but he needed to save the love of his life and his dimension.
"I agree! Let's go kick Academia's ass so I can find Rin!" Yugo said with loads of enthusiasm.
"Are you ready, Serena?" Yuzu asked her look alike who looked sort of nervous.
"Yeah, I'm ready." Serena said. It was going to be tough going against the Professor, and she knew she was a target, but she couldn't back down.
"Yuzu!" Masumi said walking over to her rival.
"Hey, Masumi." Yuzu greeted.
"By the way, after all of this is over, I want a rematch!" Masumi said.
"You're on!" Yuzu cheerfully accepted.
"I also want a rematch." Roy said looking at the Speedroid user.
"I won't back down!" Yugo said cracking his knuckles.
"I'm also getting a rematch!" Hokuto shouted looking at Yuya and Yuto.
"Against which one of us?" Yuya asked.
"Well...both of you!" Hokuto said confidently.
"HEY! I lost to both of them first so I'm the one that's going to rematch them both!" Sawatari said.
"I'll be happy to duel both of you, when this is all over." Yuto said.
"So will I." Yuya said.
"And we are gonna have another duel, big guy." Yaiba said turning to Gongenzaka.
"I, the man Gongenzaka, accept your challenge! This time, only one true winner will be declared, and that will be me!" Gongenzaka said.
"We'll see about that!" Yaiba said.
"Wow, we really got a full house, don't we..." Yuya said rubbing his head. With all the rivalries going on from the tournament, this was going to be a interesting adventure for sure.
"Has everyone arrived?" A deep voice said causing everyone to look up to the stairs.
"So the president finally arrives, eh?" Sawatari said.
"Tsk...Reiji..." Yuya uttered as his fist tightened. He was still pissed at the older teen for the stunt he pulled last time they met.
"Yuya, it'll be ok." Yuzu said grabbing her love's hand.
"Right." Yuya said while calming down.
"All 13 members of the Lancers have arrived, Leader!" Dennis said.
"Not 13." Reiji responded.
"My apologies. Including you, we have 14."
"15. Reira will be joining us." Reiji said as everyone looked at the top of the steps to see a small kid with a light blue jacket and a hat. The kid also had a yellow and blue striped shirt, white shorts, and he was carrying a stuffed bear. The boy also had lifeless blue eyes.
"The battle field has no place for children! He'll only hold us back!" Shun shouted.
"He will not hold us back. His abilities are on par with anyone in this room." Reiji declared.
"On par with me?! There's no way!" Sawatari shouted.
"This kid must be powerful if he has the leader's faith." Dennis said. "How old are you?"
"He's definitely in elementary school!" Sawatari interjected. "There's no way someone from the junior class has abilities that match those of the Sawatari, master of pendulum, generation."
"Your not the master of pendulum! Yuya is the one that created the method." Gongenzaka interrupted.
"Regardless, I refuse to accept the fact that a child will be fighting with us! We can't make it to Academia with a child!" Shun shouted.
"We aren't going to Academia." Reiji said which shocked everyone in the room.
"What?!" Shun shouted.
"We are heading to the Synchro Dimension." Reiji explained.
"We are going to my dimension?!" Yugo said shocked.
"The Synchro Dimension?! Not Fusion?! What is the meaning of this?!" Shun demanded to know.
"Why aren't we going to Academia?!" Yuto shouted.
"The Synchro Dimension hasn't been affected by the Dimensional War, yet. Therefore, we can turn them to our side and we can gain powerful allies as well." Reiji explained.
"So we are trying to form a alliance with the Synchro Dimension..." Yuzu said.
"Allies?! Alliances?! You are wasting time! We need to get to the Fusion Dimension as soon as possible so we can crush Academia!" Shun shouted.
"I do not fight battles I cannot win." Reiji stated.
"What?!"
"In order to win the war, we require significant preparations. If we challenged Academia at our current state, we would fall." Reiji said.
"Joining this poor excuse of a team was a mistake. We'll get to Academia on our own and we'll get Ruri back ourselves, just like we planned before coming to this dimension. Let's go, Yuto." Shun said beginning to walk out.
"Shun, we need to work with them. We need to work together!" Yuto shouted.
"Fine. I'll just do it by myself." Shun said before walking past Serena.
"You can't do it alone. Academia has to many duelists and you'll be overwhelmed by their strength." Serena said crossing her arms.
"Hmm?" Shun stopped walking but was facing the door.
"They bring together duelist from all over the Fusion Dimension. They train them with real life combat and only the strongest prosper. Duelists are shaped into elites and they won't hesitate to do whatever it takes to win. What will going alone possibly accomplish?" Serena asked causing Shun to grunt.
"Serena..." Yuzu uttered. No wonder she was nervous.
"I agree with Reiji's plan. This is the time to gather our forces so we can attain victory. The Professor is gathering other girls like Yuzu and I. So I'm sure he'll keep Ruri safe, as he did for me." Serena explained.
"That means Rin is safe too..." Yugo said with a bit of relief.
"In order to save Rin and Ruri, and in order to crush Academia, we need to expand our alliance!" Serena said to Shun.
"Hmph. I don't like it but...If it means we will defeat Academia...I have no choice." Shun said.
"Now that we are all on the same page, it is your turn, Yugo." Reiji said turning to the Synchro duelist.
"M-Me?!" Yugo said.
"Yes. You are a resident of the Synchro Dimension, correct? Tell us more about this place." Reiji said.
"S-Sure. Well...the society is split into two. Tops are the rich snobs who live above us in the city in the sky. Everyone else is a Common. Us Commons live in bad areas and we are treated like trash." Yugo explained.
"Tops...and Commons..." Dennis uttered.
"Also, there is a brutal police force called Sector Security. They will arrest you on sight unless you beat them in a duel. Also, we have riding duels in our dimension. It's where you ride on a D-Wheel while dueling." Yugo also explained.
"Jeez, this place is confusing as hell..." Sawatari said.
"So stay away from the Security, be careful in the Tops area, and be safe in the common's area. Simple." Hokuto said.
"And don't get ran over by a motorcycle." Roy added in.
"D-Wheel!" Yugo shouted. "It's a little more complicated, but that's basically it."
"Thank you, Yugo. We also have something of yours that we repaired for you." Reiji said while two men opened the doors to the room while two other men wheeled in Yugo's D-Wheel which also had his repaired helmet on the seat.
"MY BABY! Alright! Thanks Reiji!" Yugo said hopping onto his bike.
"I figured you may need it. Anyways, it is time for our departure." Reiji said as the others nodded. Each of their duel disks strapped around their arms while Yugo inserted his duel disk onto his D-Wheel and placed his helmet on his head.
"Your duel disks have been equipped with dimensional transportation that we modeled after the Xyz Dimension's duel disks." Reiji explained.
"So that's why you had my duel disk." Yuto said.
"That's correct. Also, when a duel is triggered, your duel disks have the function to create an Action Field. Kurosaki and Serena's duel disks were also given the same functions, despite still being duel disks that originally came from Academia and the Xyz Dimension. Pendulum and Action Cards are our greatest weapons as Lancers. Use them to your full advantage during your duels." Reiji said.
"I don't want to use your damn Pendulum Cards. My dueling doesn't require cheap tactics." Shun said.
"Pendulum isn't cheap, Shun. As someone who was gifted the power of pendulum, it's extremely useful. And, it will give us the edge over Academia." Yuto explained.
"Tch, fine. But these cards better work." Shun said.
"Now everyone, please take out the card I handed to you all earlier. This card will transport us to the Synchro Dimension upon it's activation. So place the cards into your duel disks and activate them on my command." Reiji said as each of the teens placed the cards in their duel disks.
"We are really doing this..." Yuya whispered to his love.
"Yuya, we are going to make it through this. I love you." Yuzu whispered to the boy while squeezing his hand tight.
"I love you too. Seeya on the other side, Yuzu." Yuya whispered back. The two let go of each other and readied themselves.
"Now it's time to depart. Onward to the Synchro Dimension...Dimensionizer, Activate!"
On Reiji's command, the 15 Lancers were enveloped in a blue light...and were no where to be seen. The next chapter of their adventure...begins now.
Heya everybody! Good news! The Standard Arc is FINALLY OVER! WOOOHHHOOO! I'm so relieved that I actually made it this far. I'm so hyped for the next arc. I have already made some plans for the teams for the tournament and I need will be sending out a update soon where you can see the teems and you will be able to give me names since I have no idea what to name the teams lol. Like how Jesse, Darkness, Manjoume, and Kaiser appeared, there will be more legacy characters for the Synchro arc!
For the duel this chapter, this duel literally popped into my mind and I just thought, "Hey, wouldn't it be cool to do this and give the fans a surprise duel in a chapter that was going to have no duels in it?" So yeah. Ruri and Rin will be playing a much bigger role in the story and will appear much earlier too, but not for a little while. Ruri and Rin will also get more Xyz and Synchro monsters but I kinda wanted to focus on their main and Fusion monsters while I let Yuri use most of his Predator Plants and Starve Vemom, which was a bit over kill when it stole Independent Nightingale's effect. Yuri didn't even need Greedy Venom to win, although I was planning on using the dragon but there was no need.
Also, I hope you liked Sora wavering between Academia and his Standard friends since he doesn't want Academia to put something in Yuzu's head.
And Yugo got his D-Wheel back! I only thought it would be fair since it wouldn't be right for him to duel in his own dimension without the D-Wheel that him and Rin built.

E.T. 2000: Thanks for pointing that one red cat thing out. I was originally going to make a Moonlight Red Cat Card and then I decided not to. I also changed it so thank you because I somehow missed it. I see what your saying but I disagree but only because I know what's coming ahead. If I give Yugo Fusion during the Synchro Arc, then people will complain that he is getting too many power ups in that arc. Also he was the only character who didn't know another summoning method. And, Fusion was the only one that made sense at the time. I felt like it would have made the most sense and I also thought it would bring the best reaction regarding Yuto. And, my dumbass self completely forgot about using fusion when he dueled Manjoume, so yeah. Thanks for the support!
