"I can't believe it..." Yuya uttered in disbelief.
They had been taken to the facility and separated from Yuzu, Serena, and Masumi.
He had lost her again.
Yuya, Yugo, Crow, Shinji, and Sawatari were currently being escorted to their cell by a group of Officers. They had taken their duel disks, but they didn't take their decks for some reason. The facility, or what they've seen so far of, has looked like a hell hole. That walls were cracked, there were rusted pipes hanging out of the ground, etc.
Once they got to their cell, their eyes widened in shock.
"No way! There is already too many of us for one cell as it is! And you want us to fit in a cell with even more people?!" Sawatari shouted before being pushed in the cell along with everyone else.
"Damn it!" Yugo shouted in anger.
"How could this have happended...!" Yuya uttered.
"They must have tracked you guys when you were coming back to my house..." Crow muttered in sadness.
"Damn Security! I'll make them pay!" Shinji angrily shouted.
The room was another medium sized and had several dusty beds. In the front of the room were a group of 3 prisoners glaring at the new arrivals.
"What's wrong, you aren't going to greet us?" The inmate in red asked.
"Uh...H-Hello..." Yuya nervously said.
"A proper greeting would be you bowing to us!" The inmate and green shouted.
"And why would he do that?" Yugo said getting in the middle of Yuya and the inmates.
"If you want me to sit, you'll need to get a couch first." Sawatari said .
"Why you-"
"There's no need to be rude." A strong voice commanded from the back of the room.
"S-Sorry." The inmates back off.
"Wait, Gongenzaka? How did you-"
"YUYA!" Gongenzaka exclaimed as he hugged his best friend, crushing his body.
"Gon...can't...breathe..." Yuya uttered.
"Who's this guy?" Crow asked Sawatari.
"He's our comrade from the Lancers. This is Gongenzaka." Sawatari said as Gongenzaka put Yuya back down.
"It's nice to see ya' again, Gongenzaka!" Yugo cheerfully said.
"He's not the only one!" A voice said from behind Gongenzaka which revealed to be Dennis along with Roy, Hokuto, and Yaiba.
"Guys! We were worried about you all!" Yuya shouted.
"How did you guys end up here?" Yugo asked.
"We were in an underground dueling arena that got busted." Roy blatantly said.
"Oh really..." Yuya sweat dropped.
"Is anyone else with you..." Yugo asked.
"Hey guys..." Another voice said.
"Yuto!" Yuya shouted as the Xyz resident weakly walked over to the group.
"What happened to you?!" Yugo questioned.
"I have had some crazy duels..." Yuto said.
"Care to elaborate?" Sawatari asked.
"Well for starters...I had to duel this bounty hunter who called himself the Death God..." Yuto started.
"D-Death God?!" Crow asked in shock.
"That's what he called himself." Yuto answered.
"You ok, Crow?" Yuya asked.
"Y-Yeah..." Crow nervously said. But Yuya could tell something was off.
"We ended up drawing and I was knocked out and captured. Then, I ended up in a separate room and I was forced to duel this guy named Frost." Yuto explained.
"Oh I know that guy! He is a powerful member of Security that uses an Ice Barrier deck." Shinji explained.
"It was a tough duel, but I managed to win." Yuto explained.
'He ties with Kiryu and beat that Frost guy?! This kid has to be strong for sure!' Crow thought to himself.
"That's an impressive win." Shinji admitted.
"Then, Roget electrocuted me and I ended up in here." Yuto explained.
"I'm gonna rip that guy to shreds if I ever see him!" Yugo growled.
"Where's Kurosaki?" Yuya asked.
"After he arrived, Shun beat up 10 inmates and got put in his own cell." Yuto explained.
"That's not good..." Yugo said.
"What about Serena and Yuzu? Are they ok?" Yuto asked.
"What about Masumi?" Hokuto asked.
"Yeah where is she?" Yaiba asked.
"They were taken in a different car..." Yuya said looking down.
"They try to separate males and females so they are probably in a different part of this place." Crow explained.
"And judging how they kept us together, they'll probably do the same for them." Shinji added.
"Well that's a relief." Sawatari sighed.
A little while later
The group were in the cafeteria and Yuya was waiting the the food line. The server gave Yuya barely anything which caused him to be angry.
"Sorry, kid. We are running low." The server told the boy.
"That's not true! You have plenty of food!" Yuya said looking at the food behind the server.
"Hurry up!"
"Get out of the way!"
"Ugh..." Yuya grunted as he walked away.
"We all got the same amount of food..." Yugo said as he looked at Sawatari, Shinji, Crow, and Yuya's food.
"This sucks..." Sawatari pouted as the group walked.
As the group walked, Yuya's eyes then came across a man getting a lot of food because he gave the server a card.
"What? Was that...a card-" Yuya was cut off as he was tripped by another inmate and dropped his food.
"Oops!" Another inmate shouted as he threw water at the others, which got all over their food.
"What the hell is wrong with you?!" Yugo shouted, getting ready to fight the inmate.
"Hey! No fighting or you'll be thrown in solitary confinement." The Officer told the prisoners.
"Tch...!" Yugo clicked his tongue .
"Hehe..." The inmates said as they walked away.
"You ok buddy?" Yaiba asked as him and the others arrived and helped Yuya off the ground.
"Thanks, Yaiba." Yuya thanked the boy for helping him up.
"Look at that guy!" Sawatari shouted as the group looked in the direction he was pointing at.
At a table, a tall man in green clothing with short purple hair and two servants was sitting down and eating a large meal.
"We should become friends with that guy!" Sawatari shouted as his mouth watered from looking at the food.
"He's the kingpin of this place." Gongenzaka told the group.
"He's been here for 10 years." Dennis added.
"Thats crazy!" Sawatari shouted.
"He's the legendary duelist, Chojiro Tokumatsu. He was a famous pro who always made the crowd enjoy themselves." Shinji explained.
"So what happened to him?" Yugo asked.
"During one of his matches, he cheated his draw and was arrested." Crow told the others.
"Wow..." Yuya uttered.
A little while later
The group was in their cell and Gongenzaka told the group about how the two inmates in their room were bullied when they first arrived, so Gongenzaka and the others gave the officers some cards to help them out.
"You really did that with your cards, Gongenzaka?" Yuya asked in shock.
"It would be selfish of me to not keep these poor men safe." Gongenzaka told his friend.
"I guess that's right." Yuya said.
"You all are being summoned by the kingpin." An Officer from outside their cell.
"Oh really?" Hokuto asked.
"Well that was easy." Dennis cheerfully said.
"Almost too easy..." Yuya muttered to himself.
Later
The group was led to a room where Tokumatsu was sitting on a some sort of box covered with white cloth with his two servant beside him.
"Uh...hello..." Yuya nervously said as the Lancers, Crow, and Shinji walked in the room.
"There you are. This is a personal invitation from the great boss, Tokumatsu." The first servant said.
"A personal invitation? You must think you are something special, eh?" Sawatari said to the kingpin.
"What was that?!" Both servants shouted at the boy.
"Don't make too much of a fuss. It's more trouble than it's worth." Dennis whispered to the blonde boy, who grunted in response.
"Hand them over." The man named Tokumatsu told the group.
"Hand what over?" Yugo asked.
"Your cards! He's talking about your cards!" The second servant shouted.
"Why would we do that?" Hokuto asked.
"If you want to have good lives in here, you'll hand over your cards right now!" The first servant shouted.
"No way!" Yuya abruptly shouted.
"Eh?!" Both servants yelled.
"I'll never give up my cards." Yuto spoke out.
"Without my cards, I can't perform, so no way!" Dennis added.
"I agree! My cards are too amazing to be used by anyone else besides me!" Sawatari boasted.
"There's no way in hell we'll give you our cards!" Yugo shouted.
"That's right!" Yaiba and Hokuto shouted.
"I refuse as well. I, the man Gongenzaka do not have a single card to spare for a man like you!" Gongenzaka yelled.
"We need to get out of here as soon as possible so we won't be staying for long." Roy said.
"Listen, I am the boss around here...so I'm the one in charge. I make the rules. You people at the bottom serve me. That's how things work in this world." Tokumatsu told the group.
"That's bull shit!" Yugo shouted.
"Yeah! Cards exist to be used in duels! Not to be used as some type of currency!" Yuya shouted at the ex-pro duelist.
"You unreasonable brats...then look at this!" Tokumatsu shouted as he jumped off his seat and lifted up the white cloth revealing thousands of cards stacked on top of each other.
"That's a lot of cards..." Dennis muttered in amazement.
"Do you know what this is? These are the cards that I've taken from duelists I've beaten in here over the past ten years." Tokumatsu explained.
"Duelists you've beaten..." Yuto uttered. This guy must have beaten a LOT of duelists.
"In here, cards determine your status. And dueling shows your power!"
"Dueling for power..." Yuto said.
"That's not true! Dueling is meant to make people smile and have fun!" Yuya shouted with a serious expression. This made Tokumatsu's eye brows twitch.
"Dueling for fun...HAHAHA!" The second servant laughed.
"Stop laughing like a fool at once!" Tokumatsu shouted at his servant.
"S-Sorry boss!" The servant whimpered whole bowing.
"If only you had obeyed I was going to give mercy to you...but your actions have caused me to change my mind. Jailer!" Tokumatsu shouted as the officer walked in.
"Yes, what is it, sir?" The Officer asked.
"Bring two disks, we are having a duel." Tokumatsu told the man before throwing a card at him. "And bring the inmates as well. I want them to see those
"This is a rare card! What ever you need, sir!" The Officer said before running.
"Which of us do you want to duel?" Yugo asked.
"The one who says dueling is for fun." Tokumatsu said pointing Yuya.
"Yuya...?" Gongenzaka uttered.
"I...accept your challenge! I'll prove what I believe is right!" Yuya shouted with a determined look.
A few moments later, their was a crowd looking inside the room form different sides to watch the duel. Yuya's friends stood on the sidelines, whopping that their fellow Lancer would pull through.
"Time to lose, brat!" Tokumatsu shouted as he activated his green duel disk which had an orange blade.
"I won't lose!" Yuya yelled as he activated the green duel disk that was given to him with a yellow blade.
"DUEL!"

"I'm first. I activate the spell card Hana Awase! This card lets me special summon 4 Cardian monsters from my deck with 100 ATK!" Tokumatsu explained as 4 cards popped out of his deck.

"Appear! Cardian - Matsu! Cardian - Susuki ni Tsuki! Cardian - Yanagi! And Cardian - Kiri!"

"Is he setting up his draws for later turns?" Hokuto said with a curious tone.
"I activate the effect of Cardian - Matsu ni Tsuru from my Hand! With this, I am able to release Matsu and Special Summon it!" Tokumatsu took Matsu off his Duel Disk and swiped his new Card onto his Duel Disk in its place.

"When this Card is Special Summoned, I get to draw a Card!" Tokumatsu showed Yuya the Card he drew. "The Card I drew was Cardian-Sakura ni Maku! However, there is no Sakura Card on my Field. So, this Card is sent to my Graveyard. Now then…" Tokumatsu stomped a foot onto the ground. "I'm not done yet!"
"There's more...?!" Yuya muttered to himself in worry.
"I'm just getting started! I activate the effect of Yanagi ni Ono no Michikaze! When this Card is used as Synchro Material, it makes all Monsters Level 2!"
"So that's what he's going for..." Sawatari realized.
"Let's go! I tune my Cardian - Matsu ni Tsuru, Susuki ni Tsuki, Kiri ni Houou with my Level 2 Tuner Monster Yanagi ni Ono no Michikaze! Rain of tears! Become light and rain down! Synchro Summon! Come forth, Level 8, Cardian - Ameshikou!" A man with an umbrella and in a blue kimono appeared.

"No matter how many times say it, I won't change my beliefs! Dueling is for fun! My turn!" Yuya shouted full of determination as he drew.
"You naive little brat! Amenshikou's effect activates! When my opponent draws a card, my opponent takes 1500 points of damage!" Tokumastu shouted as yellow little cards shot out of the umbrella and hit Yuya, who covered his face with his arm.

"What an effect!" Dennis said in shock.
"Tch...I'm not giving up! With the Scale 3 Entermate Big Bite Turtle and the Scale 8 Timegazer Magician, I set the Pendulum Scale!" Yuya shouted with a serious look as he set the cards on the edges of his duel disk blade.

"So a new summoning method has been created since I've been here..." Tokumastu muttered.
"Swing Pendulum of my soul! Draw an arc of light across the ether! Pendulum Summon! Come forth, my monsters! First off is Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon! Next is Entermate Teeter Totter Hopper! And lastly, Entermate Hermit Crab Landlord!" Yuya shouted as his ace dragon, a green grasshopper, and a turquoise crab appeared on his field.

"What do you mean?" Sawatari asked.
"This card can be activated when my opponent special summons a monster from their hand. Once per turn, when my opponent special summons a monster from their hand, all monsters special summoned from their hand are returned back to the hand!" Tokumatsu shouted as he pointed at Yuya's monsters.
"What?!" Yuya shouted as all of his monsters bursted into yellow particles.
"He countered Yuya's Pendulum Summon like it was nothing...!" Gongenzaka said with a worried tone.
"To think he would be able to shut down a summoning method he never knew about..." Dennis said in awe.
"Dueling has changed in the past ten years since I've been here. But with my undefeated dueling, I'll break it as if it's nothing!" Tokumatsu exclaimed, pointing at Yuya who was sweating.
"I...set a monster face down, turn end." Yuya concluded.
"Prepare for an umbrella for your tears that will rain down once I defeat you! My turn!" Tokumatsu shouted, but he didn't draw.
"Why hasn't he drawn yet?" Yaiba asked.
"Due to Amenshikou's effect, if I draw right now, I'll lose it's effect to deal you 1500 damage. So instead, I will abandon my ability to draw!" Tokumatsu declared.
"So in order to keep his monster's effect, he won't be able to draw." Hokuto said.
"Battle! Amenshikou, attack that facedown monster!" Tokumatsu commanded his monster. The warrior pulled out the top of his umbrella, revealing a katana and slashed through the facedown, which revealed to be Entermate Teeter Totter Hopper.
'Damn it...I have no other low level monsters in my hand...!' Yuya thought to himself.
"Turn end. Now, fall down your path of self-destruction!" Tokumatsu shouted at Yuya.
"With the way things are going this could be my final draw..." Yuya thought to himself.
"Once Yuya draws, his life will drop to 1000!" Sawatari realized.
"So this will be his final draw..." Yuto said with a worried tone.
"My turn, draw!" Yuya shouted as he drew.
"Now take 1500 points of damage!" Tokumatsu shouted.

"I...set a monster facedown...turn end." Yuya concluded.
"THAT'S IT?!" Sawatari shouted.
"My turn. Just like my previous turn, I will not draw to maintain my monster's effect. Battle! Amenshikou, attack the facedown monster!" Tokumatsu yelled as his warrior slashed the facedown, which was Entermate Discover Hippo.
"Tch..." Yuya clicked his tongue as the hippo was destroyed.
"My turn is over. It's your turn now." Tokumatsu said with a smirk. "Now take your final draw like a man and except defeat!"
"H-Have I lost..." Yuya said as he clenched his empty hand that was hovering over his deck.
"Yuya! Don't you dare give up!" Sawatari shouted at Yuya.
"That's right! Entertainer's like us thrive in these kinds of situations, right?" Dennis shouted at Yuya.
"C'mon, Yuya! You've been through too much to lose like this!" Yuto yelled.
"Yeah! You totally got this pal!" Yugo encouraged.
"You're right...thanks guys..." Yuya said nodding at the two. 'There is an answer to this problem in my deck...I just need it right here!'
"There's no way for you to survive! As soon as you draw your card, you'll lose!" Tokumatsu shouted.
"That isn't true! I'll break your strategy right now!" Yuya said as he put his goggles over his eyes. "The fun has just begun!"
"Fun?" Tokumatsu repeated in a confused tone.
"My turn..." Yuya said as he gripped the top card of his deck. "DRAW!"
"Now take 1500 points of damage and lose!" Tokumatsu shouted as his warrior shot yellow cards from it's umbrella at Yuya.
"Yuya!" Yuto and Gongenzaka shouted.
"I activate the effect of Entermate Rain Goat in my hand! By discarding this card when I would take effect damage, that damage is reduced to 0!" Yuya countered as his blue monster covered him from the yellow cards.
"So you managed to survive...no matter! You'll lose during your next draw!" Tokumatsu shouted.
"I don't think so! When a monster is sent from my hand to the graveyard, Entermate Teeter Totter Hopper's effect in the graveyard activates! This card specials summons itself!" Yuya explained as his grasshopper appeared.

"Once per turn, this special summoned monster cannot he destroyed by battle! And during my opponent's end phase, I can release this card to add back a level 3 or lower Entermate to my hand!" Yuya explained with a smile.
"Huh?" Tokumatsu let out.
"Entermate Rain Goat is in Yuya's graveyard..." Crow said.
"And during Tokumatsu's next end phase, Teeter Totter Hopper will be released and he can add back Entermate Rain Goat!" Gongenzaka realized.
"And then he can use Entermate Rain Goat to protect himself from Amenshikou's effect!" Sawatari shouted.
"And after Entermate Rain Goat is sent back to the graveyard, Entermate Teeter Totter Hopper can Summon itself along with being able to negate destruction once!" Hokuto shouted.
"I see...Yuya has created an impenetrable infinite loop of defense." Yuto said, smiling at his look-a-like.
"It's a sure-kill combo against an infinite loop! Nice going, kid!" Crow cheered.
"Turn end. Let's keep having fun!" Yuya shouted as he took his goggles off his eyes.
"Do you think I have time for that?! I'll crush you right here and now!" Tokumatsu shouted. He stomped both of his bare feet on the ground and got into a ready stance.
"Here it comes!" An inmate shouted.
"This is so exhilarating!" Another inmate cheered.
'Now that I think about it, how long has it been since I've bet my fate in these two fingers about to draw a card...ever since I've cheated my draw that day...I've never been able to draw that card. It was as if I was abandoned by my cards...' Tokumatsu smirked as he gripped the top card of his deck.
"CHOJIRO! CHOJIRO! CHOJIRO!" The inmates behind him cheered.
'It seems they've been riled up...well I guess it can't be helped...' Tokumatsu laughed to himself. He had made his decision. He would put his fate in his own cards. He would win his way.
'He's smiling...! All of them are smiling!' Yuya happily thought to himself.
"ENJOOOOOY!" Tokumatsu shouted as he drew his card.
"HERE IT COMES!" All of the inmates shouted.
"It came! I activate the spell card Super Come on Come on!" Tokumatsu shouted causing all the Synchro residents to cheer.
"Here it is!" Crow shouted.
"The miracle draw!" Shinji cheered.
"With this Card's effect, I can draw three Cards from my Deck and Special Summon any and all Cardians I draw! However, non-Cardian Cards are sent to the Graveyard and I take 1000 damage for each one." Tokumatsu explained. He took a step forward, ready to take a risk. He would not duel like a coward who was afraid to take risks. He would use his own strength to win.
"Go, the draw that I staked my fate on!" Multiple cheers came from the audience, they had been waited for this moment for a long time. And with that, Tokumatsu started a speech. "Dueling is life! If there are days you win, there are also days to will lose! Don't be ashamed of defeat! Do not be proud of victory! All in all, let's enjoy!"
"ENJOY!" The residents of synchro yelled.
"Now, the first draw!" Chojiro announced.
"Come on! Come on!" The crowd cheered.
"The first draw! ENJOY!" Chojiro drew his Card with a smile glowing on his face. He revealed the Card. "Cardian - Hagi ni Inoshishi!"

"Just how lucky was this guy?" Roy added.
"How's that! My draws are in better shape than ever!Next, due to my spell's effect, the Attack and Defense of all Special Summoned Monsters are reduced to 0! Their Levels also become 2!" Tokumatsu explained.
"I tune the Level 2 Hagi ni Inoshishi, Momiji ni Shika with the Level 2 Tuner Monster Botan ni Chou! As ferocious as an boar! As galant as a deer! As beautiful as a butterfly! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 6! Cardian - Ino-Shika-Cho!" Tokumatsu shouted as a warrior in green and yellow armor appeared.

"ALRIGHT!" The inmates cheered.
"Battle! Amenshikou attacks Teeter Totter Hopper!" Tokumatsu declared.
"Teeter Totter Hopper's effect! Once per turn, my monster isn't destroyed by battle!" Yuya countered.
"But that effect won't help you this time! Ino-Shika-Cho, attack Teeter Totter Hopper!" Tokumatsu commanded as his warrior charged forward. "And when this card battles a defense position monster, this card deals piercing damage!"
"What?! GAAH!" Yuya shouted as his monster was destroyed and he was sent flying back.

"Yuya!" Yuto cried out in concern.
"You have a mere 200 life points and no monsters on your field. You have no possible way to win, but you won't let it end here, won't you?" Tokumatsu asked.
"Of course not!" Yuya shouted causing Tokumatsu to grin.
"Good. I set a card face down, turn end." Tokumatsu concluded.
"The fun has just begun!" Yuya shouted as he snapped his fingers. Suddenly, a spotlight appeared on Yuya causing everyone to stare at him. "Ladies and Gentleman! I will now perform an Entertainment Duel! Will I overcome this pinch and make a great come back?! Don't miss a moment to find out!"
"There he goes again..." Gongenzaka said as he crossed his arms.
"My...TURN!" Yuya shouted as he dramatically drew. "I activate the spell card Extra Draw! While I control no monsters, I can draw a card for each monster summoned from the Extra Deck on your field! So this means I get to draw two!" Yuya shouted as he drew again.
"Did he get what he needed?" Hokuto wondered.
"Alright! This is just what I need to perform a miracle!" Yuya cheerfully shouted.
"Can it be?" An inmate asked.
"No way!" Another one shouted.
"I activate the spell card Odd Eyes Draw! It's time to test my luck! "So you are staking your fate on this draw." Tokumatsu said to the Pendulum user.
"That's right! Like you, I will put my fate in my cards to perform a miracle! Lets go!" Yuya shouted as he held the top card of his deck up in the air. "And the card is...!"

The magician had a yellow suit, gloves, and hat with purple clothes underneath. The man twirled a purple rod with blue crystals on each end. The magician's hat covered his eyes, but a smile on his face could be seen.

"Next, I'll activate my favorite spell card Smile World!" Yuya shouted as small colorful smiley faces appeared around the field, causing the audience to look in awe.

"Battle! Let's do this, Laugh Maker! Attack Cardian - Amenshikou! Laughing Spark!" Yuya shouted as his magician jumped up in the air. The magician twirled it's rod and shot a purple spark-like blast from it's rod that sped forward directly at the weaker warrior.
"Trap Activate! Card Checker! During this turn, Cardian monster's can't be destroyed by battle!" Tokumatsu shouted as his monster took the attack. The attack caused a shockwave that sent Tokumatsu several feet back, but he somehow remained on his feet.

"I knew you would protect your most powerful monster ." Yuya said with a smile.
"WHAT?!" Tokumatsu shouted in shock.
"I activate the effect of Challenge Stair's effect! When a monster on my field attacks a monster and fails to destroy it, by releasing a card on my field, it can attack again!" Yuya exclaimed with a wide smile.
"No way!" Tokumatsu shouted.
"I release Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon in my pendulum zone to let Laugh Maker attack again! Odd Eyes, lend Laugh Maker you're strength!" Yuya shouted as his dragon in his pendulum zone turned into particles that were absorbed into Laugh Maker. Suddenly, the dragon appeared behind Laugh Maker in spirit form.
"Amazing...!" Hokuto said in awe at the sight.
"Yuya sure knows how to put on a show...!" Dennis admitted.
"Finish it, Yuya!" Yugo shouted.
"This is the end! Laugh Maker, attack Amenshikou and end this duel!" Yuya shouted as the magician ran up the rainbow stairs and jumped up into the air with the spirit of Odd Eyes beside him.
"GOOO!" The inmates cheered.
"Go, SPIRAL LAUGHING SPARK BURST!" Yuya shouted as the spirit of his ace along with his magician shot a powerful bright and colorful red and purple blast at the warrior, causing the inmates and the Lancers to watch in awe. The blast collided with the warrior, causing a colorful explosion that enveloped Tokumatsu.

"He did it..." Yuto smiled.
"I, the man Gongenzaka, knew Yuya could do it!" Gongenzaka cheered.
"B-Boss?!" Tokumatsu's servants ran over to him as he got off the ground smiling.
"That...was a fun duel. I haven't had a duel like that in a long time." Tokumatsu admittedly said to Yuya, making the boy smile.
"CHOJIRO! CHOJIRO! CHOJIRO!" The crowd cheered.
"ENJOY!" Tokumatsu shouted.
"ENJOY!" The crowd repeated.
'I did it...I made them smile...' Yuya said looking at his smile world card.
"That was awesome!" Yugo shouted hugging his friend.
"That was a pretty good combo, Yuya." Yuto complimented his counterpart.
"Thanks guys..." Yuya thanked his friends.
The crowd of inmate swarmed the room causing a huge commotion.
"THAT DUEL WAS AWESOME!"
"THAT WAS SO MUCH FUN!"

"Gah! Watch where you're going!" Yugo shouted as a suspicious looking inmate bumped into him.
"Sorry, kid." The man said with a sinister grin before walking out of the room and running off.
"What's with that guy?" Yugo asked himself. He felt his pocket where his deck was...and it was gone...! "WHAT THE HELL?!"
It was like his heart stopped beating for a moment. The thought of not having Clear Wing with him was tearing him up inside.
"YOU BASTARD!" Yugo shouted running through the crowd and out of the room, following the trail of the man.
"Hey, Yugo! Where are you going?" Sawatari shouted as he was the only one to notice that the Synchro duelist was gone.
A few moments later
Yugo continued running after the man, almost catching up to him. He saw the man run into a room and he followed close behind him.
"HEY! GIVE ME BACK MY DECK RIGHT NOW!" Yugo roared as he entered the room.
The room was similar to a storage room. There was a bar to the right and supplies of food to the left. All of the criminals had normal clothing and black duel disks.
There were several people were watching a man with brown hair that was wearing a black vest and white shirt duel another inmate.
"I'll go first! I activate Pot of Greed! I draw 2! Next, I summon Gatling Ogre!" The man shouted as a fiend with soldier like clothing and a gun appeared.

"WHAT?!" The inmate shouted.
"Take 4000 Damage and lose!" The man shouted as his monster shot multiple bullets at the man, causing him to scream in pain before falling to the ground.

"Pathetic...I'll be taking your deck since you lost." Lotten said as he walked over to the limp body and took the duel disk with the deck inside of it.
"Please...don't..." The inmate pleaded.
"Take him back to his cell." The man told his lackeys.
"Yes sir!" They said in unison before dragging the man out of the room.
"HEY! What the hell is going on?!" Yugo shouted.
"Oh? You didn't tell me the deck you took was from one of those new inmates." Lotten turned to his lackey that took Yugo's deck.
"I thought you would like the surprise." The lackey told his boss.
"Hmph. What's your name?" The man asked.
"My name is Yugo!" Yugo angrily shouted.
"Fusion?"
"Wha-NO! YUGO NOT FUSION!" Yugo shouted in rage as his face turned red.
"My apologize. I'm Lotten." The man introduced himself.
"What the hell is going on?!" Yugo demanded to know.
"Well, I currently have a deal going on with the officers here. They let us have this room and other stuff as long as we provide cards to them." Lotten told the boy.
"I don't care about that! Give me my deck back!" Yugo shouted as he charged at the man and threw a punch. The man smirked and caught the punch before throwing the teen backwards.
"You are a tempered one, aren't you? I'll give you chance to get your deck back. All you have to do is beat me in a duel and you can have it back." Lotten said. He took the deck out of his last opponent's duel disk and placed Yugo's deck inside. "Now, do you accept?"
"Yeah, I accept!" Yugo said with a serious tone as the man threw the duel disk at the teen. Yugo looked behind him towards the door, thinking he might be able to make a run for it, but the door was now shut and two muscular guys guarded the exit. He was going to have to duel his way out of this one.
"Let the fun begin!" Lotten smirked.

"Tsk..." Lotten let out as his monster was destroyed.
"Go, Fast Dragon! Direct Attack! Rapid Sky Drop Charge!" Yugo shouted as his dragon zoomed through the air and smashed into Lotten, getting revenge on him for hurting Yugo early.

"Hehehe! Trap Activate! Back Attack Ambush! The attack is negated and the battle phase is forced to end!" Lotten shouted.

"And then, I can special summon an Ambush Token for every attack position monster on your field!" Lotten explained as two tokens appeared in on his field.

"Huh?! I-I activate Clear Wing Fast Dragon's effect! I negate the effect of one of your tokens and it's ATk becomes 0!" Yugo shouted as his monster binded one of the tokens with light from it's wings.

"No way!" Yugo yelled as his eyes widened.
"Go, Destroy Clear Wing Fast Dragon! Great Snipe, First Shot!" Lotten exclaimed as his fiend shot a large bullet at the dragon.
"I activate Clear Wing Synchro Dragon effect! When a level 5 or higher monster activates an effect, Clear Wing negates that effect and that monster is destroyed!"
"I activate the effect of the Trap Invincible Bullet in my graveyard! When an opponent's card effect is activated in response to a monster's effect that inflicts damage to my opponent, by banishing this card, I can target my monster and it becomes unaffected by card effects this turn!" Lotten explained.
"Fast Dragon!" Yugo shouted in rage as his dragon was destroyed. Out of the smoke where his dragon once was, a bullet pointing at Yugo flew towards him.
"Since you're dragon had 2500 ATK, the damage you take is 1250!" Lotten shouted.
"Trap Activate! Damage Diet! The effect damage is halved!" Yugo shouted as a barrier blocked the bullet, but it crashed through the barrier and hit Yugo.

"Long Barrel's effect activates once more! Destroy Clear Wing Synchro Dragon! Great Snipe, Second Shot!" Lotten shouted as his fiend shot a bullet at the dragon.
"Clear Wing!" Yugo shouted as his dragon was hit by the bullet. Then, the bullet headed towards him.
"Now take 1250 damage and lose!" Lotten shouted.
"I...banish Damage Diet to halve the damage again!" Yugo shouted as a barrier formed, slowing the bullet down before crashing into Yugo.

"Just 50 life points left? You might as well give up!" Lotten shouted before laughing maniacally.
"Tch...you bastard...I won't forgive you...for hurting them!" Yugo shouted as he got up, causing Lotten to feel a sense of fear. The boy had a serious and determined look in his eye. He was going to win and make him pay for hurting his dragons.
"Whatever, Turn End." Lotten concluded. "At this moment, Ghost Ogre's other effect activates. During the end phase of the turn this card was banished, I can switch the Battle Position of a Ogre monster on my field!" Lotten explained.

"My...TURN!" Yugo shouted as he drew. He looked at his card and then glared at the criminal in front of him. "I activate the spell card Speedroid Reload! This card allows me to shuffle Speedroid monsters in my hand back to my deck, to draw the same amount plus 1. I return my Speedroid Domino Butterfly back to deck...to draw 2 cards!"
"You still need a monster with over 3000 ATK to actually take down my monster. And with all the weak cards you have in your deck, I doubt you'll manage to actually do something." Lotten taunted.
"ATK isn't the only thing that matters..." Yugo said with a stern expression as he grabbed a card in his han. "I activate the spell card Monster Reborn! Revive, Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!"

"That monster again...!" Lotten said with a nervous expression before smirking. "Wait a minute, that card is too weak to do anything against me!"
"You're right. But let's change that. I activate the Quick Play Spell, Assault Mode Zero!" Yugo shouted as he activate the card.
"What?"
"This card lets me release Clear Wing in order to summon a new monster from my deck!" Yugo shouted as his eyes faintly glowed. Clear Wing was engulfed in a bright turquoise light as it's body began to change. "Sharpen your bright and wonderous wings and evolve beyond your limits through the shinning light! Come forth! Level 9! Clear Wing Synchro Dragon/Assault Mode!"
The light dispersed and the dragon had evolved into a new version of the former dragon. Clear Wing now had larger and sharper crystal wings with a brighter green color and had mainly white and blue armor like before but had sharp golden armor towards the dragon's chest and around its claws.

"W-What the hell...!" Lotten uttered before shaking his head. "It doesn't matter! That dragon's ATK is not enough!"

"What?! My monster won't be destroyed!"
"At this moment, Clear Wings' effect activates! When this card attacks an opponent's monster that was special summoned, it has it's effects negated and is destroyed! Go, Dichroic Blitz!" Yugo commanded his dragon as it flied through the air surrounded by a colorful aura with it's shinning wings. As the dragon collided with the Fiend, the dragon bursted through the monster causing it to turn into light and then disappearing in a burst of light.
"I-Impossible! But I still have next turn! I'll-!"
"You won't get the chance! After this effect is used, this card can attack again! Go! Clear Wing! Direct attack! Whirlwind Assault Slasher!" Yugo commanded his monster as the dragon's wings shined in a colorful light and the dragon zoomed through the air, smashing into the criminal which sent him flying through a nearby wall.

"How'd you like that?!" Yugo shouted at the man.
"Hehehe...you think this is over?!" Lotten shouted at the boy. Suddenly, three of his lackeys walked out and stood in front of Yugo.
"What the hell are you cowards doing?!" Yugo shouted at the men.
"We are going to defeat you!" The first lackey shouted.
"And after that..." The secondlackey started.
"We'll take your deck!" The third lackey finished.
'Shit, that last duel seriously hurt me...but I have to beat these guys!' Yugo thought to himself.
"No wait just a minute! The true hero is here!" A voice shouted from behind Yugo which caused everyone to look behind the boy.
"S-Sawatari?!" Yugo shouted in shock as the blonde boy walked out into view and in front of Yugo.
"Don't worry, Yugo. I'll defeat these clowns in an amazing display of power!" Sawatari smirked as he activated his duel disk.
"Eh? You think you can defeat all of us if you two team up?" The first lackey asked.
"Nope. I can defeat you guys on my own." Sawatari declared.
"HAHAHAHA!" The three lackeys laughed.
"Are you sure about this, Sawatari?" Yugo asked.
"Please. I can see you are still a little injured from your duel with that cyborg guy. But don't worry about it. I got this!" Sawatari shouted.
"Ok Sawatari, I trust you." Yugo nodded at the Pendulum user before taking out his deck and extra deck and giving the duel disk to him.
"Alright, you weaklings! Prepare to witness the most spectacular performance, that will end in your defeat! Starring I, the most powerful duelist in the Lancers...Sawatari!" Sawatari shouted out.
"Fine. But when you lose, we'll be taking your deck!" The third lackey shouted.
"Bring it on!" Sawatari smirked.

"With this, I can simultaneously summon monsters with levels 2 through 7! Pendulum Summon! Come to the stage, the star of the performance, Abyss Actor Big Star! And joining him is Abyss Actor Double Caster!" Sawatari shouted as his ace monster appeared along with a new monster. The fiend that was his ace had pink skin and red hair with black clothing. The new monster was a fiend with a mask and suit on. The fiend's left side of it's clothing and mask was completely white while the right side was completely black. Also, the white side of the mask had a smiley face while the black side had a friend face. The fiend also carried a rod.

"Two higher level monsters at once...nice Sawatari!" Yugo cheered.
"A monster with 0 ATK...ever heard of Defense mode, brat?" The first lackey asked with a smirk.
"And have you ever heard of an effect?" Sawatari taunted back.
"Why you little-!"
"When Double Caster is normal or special summoned, I can target another Abyss Actor on the field and this card gains ATK equal to the target's level times 300!" Sawatari explained with a smirk.
"What?" The second lackey said surprised.
"I target the level 7 Abyss Actor Big Star and Double Caster gains 2100 ATK!" Sawatari explained as his monster powered up.

"Now it's time for Big Star's effect! I get to add an Abyss Script from my deck to my hand! I activate the spell card Abyss Script Auditioning! While I control two Abyss Actors on my field, I can add a level 4 or lower Abyss Actor to my hand!" Sawatari explained as a card popped out of his duel disk.
"Sawatari has set up a good field and I preparing for his next turn...he sure is getting strong." Yugo admitted.
"Alright, Act 1 of my soon to be victory is completed. It's your turn now!" Sawatari confidently said to the criminals.
"You will regret being cocky, you brat! My turn! I summon Fuse Ray Musketeer!" The first Lackey shouted as a musketeer with tan and turquoise clothing with a red cape.

"That ends my turn." The lackey concluded.
"That's it?" Sawatari asked.
'They have to be planning something here...' Yugo thought to himself.
"My turn! I summon Fuse Ray Musketeer!" The second lackey exclaimed as another monster appeared.

"My Fuse Ray Musketeer's effect activates! When another Fuse Ray Musketeer is Summoned, my monster inflicts 800 damage to you!" The man exclaimed as the monster shot a bullet from it's gun at Sawatari.

"So that's your strategy..." Sawatari commented.
"What a cheap tactic." Yugo grunted.
"My turn! I summon Fuse Ray Musketeer!" The third lackey exclaimed as another monster appeared.

"My Fuse Ray Musketeer's effect activates! When another Fuse Ray Musketeer is Summoned, my monster inflicts 800 damage to you!" The first lackey exclaimed as the monster shot a bullet from it's gun at Sawatari.

"My monster's effect triggers as well! Take 800 more damage!"
SAWATARI: 2400-1600 LP
"Next, I activate the spell card Monster Recovery! I shuffle my monster along with my hand cards into my deck to draw 5 new cards." The third lackey explained as his monster vanished.
"Why would you do that?" Sawatari asked.
"Prepare to lose! I activate the spell card Double Summon! This card lets me normal summon again! I summon Fuse Ray Musketeer!" The second lackey exclaimed as another copy of his monster appeared.

"My Fuse Ray Musketeer's effect activates! When another Fuse Ray Musketeer is Summoned, my monster inflicts 800 damage to you!" The first exclaimed.
SAWATARI: 1600-800 LP
"Then my monster's effect triggers as well! Take 800 damage and lose!" The second shouted as his monster shot a bullet at the weakened Sawatari.
"SAWATARI!" Yugo shouted in horror.
"I activate the effect of Abyss Actor Backgrounder's effect in my hand! By discarding it, when I'd take damage while I control an Abyss Actor on my field, the damage is reduced to 0!" Sawatari explained as a shadowy fiend appeared in front of his and took the shot.
"Hmph. You'll lose next turn. Turn end." The third lackey concluded.
Sawatari dusted off his clothing from the dirt floor and looked at his opponents with a determined expression.
"I...won't be weak! I won't be a liability! I'll win and prove myself! My turn!" Sawatari shouted as he drew his card.
"Sawatari...?" Yugo thought. With all of Sawatari's confidence and boastfulness, he didn't think Sawatari would say something like that.
"Getting serious eh?" The first lackey laughed.
Sawatari looked at his card and then looked up at his Pendulum Scale and nodded. "Let's go! Funky Comedian's Pendulum Effect! By sending Abyss Actor Big Star to my extra deck, I can add his ATK to Double Caster!"
Double Caster (2100/0)-(4600/0)
"4-4600?!" The three shouted.
"Now it's time for my final Pendulum Summon! Come forth, my monsters! Rise from the extra deck, Abyss Actor Big Star! And from my hand, Abyss Actor Leading Lady!" Sawatari exclaimed as his ace appeared along with a female with green hair with purple and turquoise clothing.

"What a move...he sent Big Star to the extra deck so he could Pendulum Summon it back to use it's effect..." Yugo said in awe.
"Abyss Actor Big Star's effect! I add a new Abyss Script to my hand and then I'll activate it! Abyss Script Rise of the Demon King, activate! This card destroys cards on your field equal to the amount of Abyss Actors on my field!"
"What?!"
"Since I control 3, all 3 of your monsters are destroyed!" Sawatari shouted as a purple blast incinerated his opponent's field.
"Sawatari is...awesome!" Yugo uttered in disbelief.
"It doesn't matter! You'll only be able to take two of us out!" The first lackey nervously shouted.
"Not true! When I said this was the final act, I wasn't lying! BATTLE! Abyss Actor Double Castor, Direct Attack!" Sawatari shouted while pointing at the first lackey. The fiend jumped up in the air and crashed down on the criminal with it's glowing rod, sending him flying backwards.
LACKEY 1: 4000-0 LP
"Oh, did I forget to mention Double Caster's other effect? While I have 2000 or less life, this card can make up to two attacks each turn!" Sawatari explained.
"WHAT?!"
"Go, Double Caster! Direct Attack!" Sawatari commanded as his monster leaped up and crashed down on the criminal with it's glowing rod.
LACKEY 2: 4000-0 LP
"...This can't be happening...!"
"Go, Leading Lady! Direct attack!" Sawatari yelled as the women charged forwards and slammed the man hard in the gut.
LACKEY 3: 4000-2500 LP
"End this, Big Star! Give us a Climax we'll never forget! DIRECT ATTACK!" Sawatari shouted as his monster twirled through the air and delivered an amazing and powerful spin kick to the criminal, sending him flying backwards.
LACKEY 3: 2500-0 LP
WINNER: SAWATARI!
"I did it! I actually did it!" Sawatari jumped up in the air and cheered. "I-I mean I knew I could do it."
"That's was awesome, Sawatari!" Yugo ran over to the boy and slapped his back.
"T-Thanks!"
"Don't doubt yourself man. You're just as strong as any of us. Plus, your deck is awesome!" Yugo cheerfully said.
"Thanks Yugo. Now let's get out of here. Hopefully the commotion from earlier is settled and we can get some rest." Sawatari said as the two walked out of the room.
With the girls
Yuzu, Serena, and Masumi have been stuck in a private room together. Unlike the other Lancers, their room was smaller, but the condition the room was extremely better.
Serena and Masumi were sitting on the ground with their cards spread out on the ground. They were going through their decks and talking about strategies that they could use. Both were impressed with each other and they could have really good talks since both girl's decks were fusion based.
"You sure have a lot of Fusion support cards." Masumi noticed as she looked through Serena's deck. "Fusion Substitute, Double Fusion, Re-Fusion, Fusion Cancel."
"Yeah. At Academia, they basically shove these type of cards down our throats. But honestly, my deck is pretty straight forward and relies on my Fusions so I need to get them out as quick as I can." Serena told the girl.
"That makes sense. I have a lot of Fusion Support cards as well, but I like to use Fusion Cards that specifically work with my Gem Knights." Masumi explained.
"I see. I have a few cards like that." Serena replied.
"What about you, Yuzu?" Masumi asked the pink haired girl who was spacing out in her bed.
Yuzu was sitting on her bed and was staring at her bracelet with a cracked pink gem with sad eyes. Even though it was some time ago, it still bothered her everyday that her bracelet was broken. She also thought about Yuya and the look in his eyes before she passed out. She was scared that she was losing Yuya and she was scared that she wouldn't be able to protect him.
"Yuzu! Are you ok?" Masumi asked the girl again, snapping her back into reality.
"Y-Yeah..." Yuzu said with a sad tone.
"What's wrong with her?" Serena asked, not really being able to pick up on what was wrong with the girl due to her lack of social ability, thanks to The Professor.
"She misses her boyfriend." Masumi told Serena which caused Yuzu's face to be engulfed by a red blush.
"EH?! T-THAT'S NOT-"
"Who's that?" Serena asked, causing Masumi to sweat drop.
"Wait, are you serious?" Masumi asked.
"I was joking. It's obviously Yuya." Serena said causing Masumi to laugh and Yuzu to angrily blush. She really wasn't the type of person to joke around, but being with Yuzu and the others has helped her social skills a little bit.
"OH COME ON! You have no proof!" Yuzu pouted.
"Oh yeah? You and Yuya were in your bedroom for quite a bit of time while we were at Crow's place." Masumi smirked.
"...We were talking..." Yuzu quietly said.
"Sure." Masumi said with a sly smile.
"Anyways, why don't you stop being sad and come down here." Serena said.
"Fine. But only if we drop the Yuya stuff." Yuzu told the girls.
"Deal." Masumi said.
'Yuya...please be safe...' Yuzu thought to herself as she got off the bed.
Hey guys! I am trying my best with school to keep the updates up every two weeks at least. With school and fall baseball, it's a little rough getting time to write, but I am not stopping. I will never stop! I hope. I only have two more tournaments, one this week and one next week so updates after that will probably be a bit quicker. About the story, not the duels, I was trying really hard to condense a lot of stuff in this chapter and I hope it was good. I am REALLY excited for the tournament and if I could, I would just skip right to it, but I only have 1 more chapter until the exhibition match so it shouldn't be that much longer. Also, I wanted to add the part with the girls at the end because...why not.
Now for the duels...
With Yuya vs Tokumatsu, I really like Tokumatsu and I thought he was a very cool character in the Synchro arc. I liked his drawing strategy and the fact that his draws never fail him, it's pretty easy to write him. And I know what you are thinking. I changed the ending of the duel so it wouldn't be predictable! I liked the anime version, but I wanted to do something different. So, I decided "Hey, why not use that super powerful card that Yuya only used 1 TIME!" So I decided to use Laugh Maker because it's a pretty alternate ace monster that isn't a dragon, besides Enlightment Paladin WHICH WILL BE USED IN ARCS BEYOND THE SYNCHRO ARC, unlike the anime.
With Yugo vs Lotten, you may not know exactly who Lotten is, so I'll tell you. I'm pretty sure in the dub, he was called Lawton or something, I didn't watch 5Ds dub, I watched the sub. I have been watching the 5Ds series lately and I came across Lotten, who was pretty cool in the Satisfaction Town arc so I decided to add him in. He'll also be in the Friendship cup. I'm going to put him on a team with Barbara, who was in the same arc. She'll be using a Harpy deck because that's the deck she used in Over the Nexus. Also, Harpies has a new synchro monster which will be her ace. His other teammate will be Malcom, his brother. I'm not sure what deck to give him yet. All in all, the duel was pretty fun to write and I wanted to use Assault mode since it's been like 12 chapters since I've used it.
With Sawatari vs 3 Lackeys, Sawatari=Yusei. This is obviously a joke, but Sawatari is proving himself. I hope you like the duel since a lot of people have put in their reviews that they wanted to see more Sawatari. Also, the Abyss Script he used to destroy all of his opponent's monsters was the card he used in his duel again Zarc.
