At the stadium, a duel was taking place between Team Lightning and Team Unicorn. The former was on their last member while Team Unicorn was still on their first.
"Go, Thunder Unicorn! Direct Attack! Thunder Spear!" Andre commanded as his blue unicorn charged at the defenseless duelist. It thrusted it's lightning bolt on it's head, slashing against the final member of Team Lightning.
HOWARD: 2200-0 LP
WINNER: TEAM UNICORN
"It's over! With an impressive 3-man sweep, Andre wins the duel for Team Unicorn! What an amazing display of skills!" Melissa shouted as the crowd cheered.
"He defeated an entire team..." Yuzu said in awe.
"He is a pro after all..." Yugo nervously said.
"So Team Unicorn advances to the next round along with Team Taiyou who defeated Team White Wind, and Team United Hope who defeated Team Security!"
(A/N: Team Taiyou won off screen btw after Yuya beat Frost. They will get an on screen duel next round.)
"For the final match of the first day...we have Team Catastrophe vs Team Magnetic Stars!"Pictures of the separate teams appeared on the screen causing the crowd to cheer.
Hokuto, Roy, and Sawatari walked out of the tunnel which led to their team's pit.
Hokuto had a indigo colored riding duel outfit that had yellow lining through out it. He wore a yellow helmet with a purple visor. He also wore purple gloves and boots.
Roy had a silver colored riding duel outfit with two red stripes down the center of his clothing. He had a red helmet with a dark visor. He also wore black gloves and boots.
Sawatari had a yellow colored riding duel outfit that was black towards the middle. He had a blue helmet that had a green visor. He wore black gloves and yellow boots.
"Alright, which of us should go first?" Hokuto asked.
"I will. I've definitely beat these guys." Roy smirked at his teammates.
"It's fine with me. Go take the lead for us!" Sawatari smiled at his teammate who nodded back.
"Right!" Roy said as he put his helmet on and got on his dark grey D-Wheel and sped off.
"Both teams are sending out their first members! Team Magnetic Stars is sending out Roy Jishaku! On the other hand, Team Catastrophe is sending out Hermann!"
"So a child is my opponent? This should be easy!" Hermann taunted.
"We'll see about that!" Roy shouted.
"Let's get this show on the road! Action Field On! Field Spell, Crossover Accel activate!" Melissa shouted as a sphere of cards bursted, causing them to spread all through out the track.
DUEL MODE: ON! AUTOPILOT, STAND BY!
At the same time, both Herman and Roy's duel disk blades materialized on their D-Wheels. Roy's blade was yellow while Hermann's blade was black.
A holographic screen with a countdown starting at 3 appeared in front of the two.

HERMANN: 4000 LP vs ROY: 4000 LP
Both Hermann and Roy raced off for the first corner pretty evenly.
"You think I'll give you the first turn?!" Hermann smirked before ramming the side of his D-Wheel into Roy's.
"Gah!" Roy let out as he almost lost control of his D-Wheel, causing him to slow down. Hermann then smirked as he drove past the first corner.
"Roy!" Hokuto yelled.
"That guy almost got him killed!" Sawatari angrily shouted.
"My turn! It's time to show you the cards of darkness! I summon Hidden Knight - Hook!" Hermann shouted as a Knight with dark purple armor with a blue cape appeared. The Knight also had two hooks where his hands were.

"Cards of darkness?" Roy repeated.
"Turn End!" Hermann concluded.
"My turn! I summon Beta the Magnet Warrior!" Roy shouted as the yellow magnet warrior appeared.

"Battle! Beta the Magnet Warrior, attack Hidden Knight - Hook!" Roy commanded as his magnet Warrior flew forwards.
"Hidden Hook - Knight's effect activates! When this card is targeted for an attack, I can switch this card and the attacking monster to defense position!" Hermann countered.

"Tch..." Roy grunted.
"Hidden Knight - Hook's other effect activates! When this card is switched to defense mode, it inflicts 800 damage to my opponent!" Hermann shouted as his monster glowed purple.
"What?!" Roy shouted. The light distracted Roy for a brief moment while a shadow-like hook appeared next to his D-Wheel's back wheel. The hooks swiped at the wheel, causing Royto suddenly lose control of his D-wheel due to the damage of the back wheel.
"ROY!" Hokuto and Sawatari shouted.
"He's going to crash!" Yuzu shouted in horror as she saw the boy's D-Wheel speed to the right which was towards the track's wall.
"I won't...let it end like this!" Roy shouted as he swerved to the left, causing his D-Wheel to stop for a brief moment before speeding off straight.
ROY: 4000-3200 LP
"Wow! Roy Jishaku managed to miraculously survive a near death crash!" Melissa shoutedthe crowd cheered at the sight of the boy's ability tosurvive.
"Yeah!"
"That was close!"
"You bastard...you tried making me crash on purpose!" Roy angrily yelled.
"Maybe I did? Maybe I didn't? Who cares?! All that matters is that I will win no matter the cost! I will not go back to the facility!" Hermann yelled.
"Shouldn't they be disqualified for using such a method?" Serena asked Crow.
"As long as the duel is interesting for the audience, they don't care what the duelists do." Crow told her.
"This dueling isn't right..." Yuya grunted.
"I set one card facedown, Turn End." Roy concluded.
"My turn! I summon Hidden Knight - Dark!" Hermann shouted as a black and orange fiend appeared.

"Then, I switch Hidden Knight - Hook to attack position!"

"Next, I activate the Equip Spell, Big Bang Shot! Hook gains 400 ATK and can inflict piercing damage!

"What?!" Roy shouted.
"Battle! Hidden Knight - Hook, attack Beta the Magnet Warrior!" Hermann yelled as his hooked fiend charged forward and shot out it's hook which went right through the magnet Warrior, destroying it. Before the hook hit Roy, it disappeared. The shadow hook reappeared next to his back wheel once more and swiped at it, causing Roy to lose his balance.
ROY: 3200-2800 LP
"Oh no! He's losing his balance again! Will he crash?!" Melissa shouted.
"...Trap Activate! Magnet Return! Once a Magnet Warrior monster is destroyed, I can add it back to my hand! Then, I can special summon another Magnet Warrior with a different name from my hand that has the same level as the card returned to my hand! I special summon Gamma the Magnet Warrior!"

After appearing, the pink magnet warrior immediately rushed over to it's owner and grabbed the back of his D-Wheel, straightening it out.
"Thanks, Gamma." Roy thanked his monster.
"You think my attack is done? Dark can attack the opponent directly! Go, Hidden Knight - Dark! Direct Attack!" Herman yelled as his monster sent a purple and black blast from it's hands directly at Roy.
"Ghh..." Roy grunted as he was hit by the attack, causing his D-Wheel to wobble.
ROY: 2800-2000 LP
After the attack hit, Hermann saw an Action Card in front of him on the track and reached down, grabbing it.
"Damn...he got an Action Card..." Yuzu said with aworried tone.
"And Roy already dropped to half of his life points..." Yugo added.
"It's a miracle you survive this long...Turn End." Hermann said with a disappointed tone due to his opponent not crashing.
"I definitely won't lose to someone who uses such dirty methods! My turn, draw! I activate the Spell, Pot of Greed! I draw 2!" Roy shouted as he drew. "Alright! It's here! By sending Alpha the Magnet Warrior and Beta the Magnet Warrior in my hand and Gamma the Magnet Warrior on my field to the graveyard, I can special summon Valkyrion the Magna Warrior!"
The 3 magnet warriors appeared and then split into different parts. The parts flew up in the air and in a bright flash of light a wings magnet Warrior carrying a sword appeared.

"Alright! He brought Valkyrion out!" Hokuto cheered.
"Action Spell, Level Chain! I can declare a level and monsters with that level cannot attack during this turn! I declare level 8!" Hermann yelled as a chain wrapped around Valkyrion.
"Now Valkyrion can't attack..." Sawatari said.
"That's fine! Valkyrion's effect activates! By releasing Valkyrion, I can special summon Alpha, Beta, and Gamma in my graveyard! Come, my magnet warriors!" Roy yelled as his monster turned into 3 bright lights that revealed to be his Magent Warrior.

"If that monster stays on the field...you could cause any of my friends to crash...so I'll take it out no matter what! I activate the Spell Card Magnetic Drain! I can target a monster on your field and it loses 300 ATK for each Magnet Warrior on my field!" Roy shouted as the three magnet warriors released a magnetic wave that weakened fiend.
Hidden Knight - Hook (2000/0)-(1100/0)
"Battle! Alpha the Magnet Warrior, attack Hidden Knight - Hook!" Roy shouted as his grey magnet warrior flew forwards and swung it's sword at the fiend.
"Hook's effect activates! Both of our monsters are switched to Defense Position!"

"And then, due to Hook's other effect, you take 800 points of damage!" Hermann shouted as his monster glowed purple. The shadow hook appeared behind the D-Wheel and swiped at the wheel. But expecting this, Roy swerved to the right, dodging the attack.
"I won't fall for that again!" Roy shouted.
"So you didn't crash...But you still take the effect damage!" Herman said with a pissed off tone.
ROY: 2000-1200 LP
"But now since you're monster is in defense position, it can't use it's effect again! Meaning, the next attack will destroy it! Gamma the Magnet Warrior, Attack Hidden Knight - Hook!" Roy commanded the pink magnet warrior as it flew forwards.
"Hah! Hidden Knight - Dark's effect! By releasing this card, I can switch Hidden Knight - Hook back to attack position!" Hermann shouted.

"What?!" Roy yelled in shock.
"Now, Hidden Knight- Hook's effect activates! Both of our monsters are switched back into defense position!"

"And then, due to Hook's effect, you take 800 damage!"
The shadow hook appeared next to Roy's back wheel and swiped at it. But, Roy quickly swerved to the right and dodge it.

"Only 400 life points left..." Sawatari uttered.
"C'mon Roy! Don't give up!" Hokuto shouted.
"I didn't expect that...but it doesn't matter! Beta, attack Hidden Knight - Hook!" Roy shouted as his yellow magnet warrior flew forward and punched it with it's magnetattached to it's hand.
"Tch...so you finally managed to destroy my monster..." Hermann grunted.
"Now, with the Scale 5 Epsilon the Super Magnet Warrior, I set the Pendulum Scale!" Roy shouted as the red Magnet Warrior with two big gauntlets on it's hands that had magnets on them appeared in the blue column.

"Just one?" Dennis asked in confusion.
"Epsilon's Pendulum Effect activates! By releasing one Magnet Warrior monster on my field, I can set a spell or trap that lists Magnet Warrior or Magna Warrior in it's text! I release my Alpha the Magnet Warrior!" Roy explained as his monster disappeared. A card then popped out of his duel disk and he automatically set it facedown.
"Setting a card from the deck...not bad..." Yaiba said.
"I set an additional card facedown, turn end." Roy concluded as his set card materialized next to his previously set card.
"My turn! I activate the Spell Card, Monster Reincarnation! By discarding a card, I can add a monster in my graveyard back to my hand! And then I'll summon it! Come, Hidden Knight - Hook!" Hermann shouted as his fiend returned.

"Then, I activate the Spell Card, Fiend Calling! I target a Fiend-Type monster and I special summon a Fiend-Type monster with a lower level! Revive, Hidden Knight - Dark!" Hermann shouted as his other fiend returned.

"This is the end! My monster can attack directly through it's effect! Battle! Hidden Knight- Dark, Direct Attack! Finish him off!" Hermann yelled as his monster charged a purple and dark blast and fired it directly at Roy.
"Not so fast! Trap Activate! Damage Draw! The damage is reduced to 0! Then I can draw a card!" Roy exclaimed as a barrier protected him while he drew.
"Tch...Turn End." Hermann concluded.
"My turn!" Roy yelled as he drew. "I summon Alpha the Electromagnet Warrior!"
A more advanced version of Alpha appeared with advanced grey armor, an electric staff with a handle in the middle, and a shield.

"Alpha's effect activates! When summoned, I can add a level 8 Magna Warrior from my deck to my hand! Then, I switch Gamma back to attack position!"

"Battle! Alpha, attack Hidden Knight - Dark!" Roy commanded as his electromagnet warrior flew forward and slashed through the fiend.
HERMANN: 4000-3100 LP
"Gamma, attack Hidden Knight - Hook!" Roy shouted as his pink magnet warrior flew forward.
"What is he doing?! He'll take 800 damage due to Hook's effect and he only has 400 life points left!" Sawatari shouted.
"How idiotic! Hidden Knight - Hook's effect activates! Now both of are monsters are switched to defense position!" Hermann exclaimed.

"And now, you take 800 points of damage! Say goodbye to the rest of your life points!" Hermann yelled.
"Do you really think I would attack so blindly? Continuous Trap, Magnet Barrier activate! While I control 2 or more Magnet Warriors, any effect damage I would take is negated!" Roy shoutedas a magnetic barrier appeared in around him, causing the shadow hook tobe unable to attack him.
"And now that Hook is in defense mode, it can be destroyed!" Hokuto explained.
"So that was his plan!" Sawatari realized.
"Go, Beta! Attack Hidden Knight - Hook!" Roy yelled as the yellow magnet warrior flew forward and charged through the fiend.
"Damn it..." Hermann grunted.
"Next, Epsilon's Pendulum effect activates! By releasing Beta, I can set a spell or trap card from my deck that lists Magnet Warrior in it's text!" Roy explained as the yellow magnet warrior dissolved while a card popped out of his deck and then he set it.
"Getting rid of one of his magnet warriors...that's risky..." Hokuto said.
"All Hermann needs to do now is destroy one of Roy's Magnet Warriors and he'll be able to inflict effect damage...that set card better be worth it...!" Sawatari realized.
"Turn End." Roy concluded.
"I'll make you pay for destroying all of my monsters! My turn! I activate the Spell Card, Hidden Knight Reinforcements! This card lets me special summon two Hidden Knights in my graveyard but with their's effects negated! Come back, Hidden Knight - Hook! Hidden Knight - Dark!" Hermann shouted as the two fiends returned.

"Those monsters again..." Sawatari grunted.
"Next, I summon the tuner monster, Hidden Knight - Dagger!" Hermann shouted as a small fiend cloaked in black that was carrying a dagger appeared.

"Now, I tune the level 1 Dagger to my level 3 Dark and level 4 Hook! Warrior cloaked in shadows! Emerge from the dark and slash through your target! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 8! Hidden Knight - Shadow Assassin!" Herman shouted as a larger fiend with dark armor carrying two swords appeared.
Hidden Knight - Shadow Assassin (2900/1700) LVL: 8
"Hidden Knight - Shadow Assassin's effect activates! Once per turn, for every non tuner Hidden Knight monster used as Synchro materials, a monster on your field is destroyed and you take damage equal to the destroyed monster's level times 200! Since two non tuner Hidden Knights were used, both of your monsters are destroyed and you'll take 1400 damage! This is the end!" Hermann exclaimed as his monster turned into a shadow. The shadow disappeared and reappeared behind the two magnet warriors and raised it's blades, ready to strike.
"Trap Activate! Magnetic Invulnerability! While I control at least two Magnet or Magna Warriors, Magnet and Magna Warriors monsters on my field can't be effected by my opponent's card effects this turn!" Roy countered as a barrier stopped the shadow from attacking. The shadow then disappeared and returned back to it's owner's field while in it's monster form.
"Tch...it doesn't matter! I'll finish this through attacking! Battle! Hidden Knight - Shadow Assassin, finish this! Attack Alpha the Electromagnet Warrior and end him! Haunting Blade!" Hermann shouted as the monster charged forward with glowing purple blades.
"I won't let you! Alpha the Electromagnet Warrior's effect activates! During my opponent's turn, I can release this card to special summon a level 4 Magnet Warrior from my deck! Come, Delta the Magnet Warrior!" Roy countered. His electromagnet warrior dissolved into particles and a new blue magnet warrior with sharp armor and magnets on it's head, hands, and feet took it's place.

"He would have lost if he didn't switch out his monster..." Hokuto said.
"Due to Delta's effect, when summoned, I can send a level 4 or lower Magnet Warrior from my deck to the graveyard! I send Gamma the Electromagnet Warrior from my deck to the graveyard!" Roy explained.
"In that case...Attack Delta the Magnet Warrior! Haunted Blade!" The fiendish Knight charged forward and slash through the magnet warrior with it's purple glowing swords.
"What is Hermann doing out there?! He should have won by now!" Nicolas angrily shouted.
"Turn End..." Hermann concluded.
"My turn! I summon Beta the Electromagnet Warrior!" Roy shouted as the red and yellow version of Beta appeared.
Beta the Electromagnet Warrior (1500/1500) LVL: 3
"Beta's effect! I add a level 4 or lower Magnet Warrior from my deck to my hand! I add Theta the Super Magnet Warrior! Next, with the Scale 2 Theta the Magnet Warrior, I set the Pendulum Scale!" Roy shouted as the cyan magnet warrior with cannons for arms appeared in the empty blue column.
Theta 2 - 5 Epsilon
"With this, I can simultaneously summon monsters with levels 3 through 4! But I won't do that just yet! Trap Activate! Magnet Conversion! This card lets me add 3 level 4 or lower Magnet Warrior from my deck to my hand!" Roy explained as he added back Alpha and Beta the Magnet Warrior along with Gamma the Electromagnet Warrior.
"Adding 3 cards to your hand?!" Hermann shouted with a worried tone.
"Let's go! Pendulum Summon! Come forth, my magnet monsters! Alpha the Magnet Warrior! Beta the Magnet Warrior! Gamma the Electromagnet Warrior!" Roy exclaimed as 3 lights shot out revealing his two previously summoned magnet warriors along with a small green tinted electromagnet warrior.

"He now has 5 monsters on his field..." Sawatari said with an impressed tone.
"Even with all those monsters, they can't possibly stand up to my Shadow Assassin!" Hermann shouted.
"Theta's Pendulum effect activates! When I Pendulum Summon 2 or more Magnet monsters, I draw one card!Epsilon's Pendulum Effect! I release Gamma the Electromagnet Warrior to set a card from my deck! Then I'll activate it! It's the Spell Card Magnet Recovery! By releasing a Magnet Warrior on my field, I can add a different Magnet Warrior or Magna Warrior from my graveyard to my hand! I release Beta the Electromagnet Warrior to add Valkyrion the Magnet Warrior from my graveyard to my hand! Now, everything is set!" Roy shouted.
"Go, Roy!" Hokuto shouted.
"Let's go! By banishing Alpha, Beta, and Gamma the Electromagnet Warriors from my graveyard, I can special summon Berserkion the Electromagna Warrior!" Roy shouted as the combined form of his electromagnet warriors appeared.
Berserkion the Electromagna Warrior (3000/2800) LVL: 8
"Then, by sending Alpha, Beta, and Gamma the Magnet Warriors on my field to the graveyard, I can special summon Valkyrion the Magna Warrior once more!" Roy exclaimed as the combined form of his magnet warriors appeared once more.
Valkyrion the Magna Warrior(3500/3850) LVL: 8
"Alright! He's got two monsters that are stronger than Shadow Assassin!" Sawatari cheered.
"Berserkion's effect activates! By banish a level 4 or lower Magnet Warrior such as Alpha the Magnet Warrior, a card on your field is destroyed! Say goodbye to your Shadow Assassin!" Roy exclaimed as his monster charged forward and sliced through the fiend.
"Damn it..." Hermann grunted.
"This is the end! Valkyrion, finish this duel! Magnet Saber!" Roy commanded as his monster flew forward and prepared to strike the criminal.
"Not so fast!" Hermann shouted as he bent down and grabbed an Action Card. "Action Spell, Evasion! The attack is negated!"
Before the Magna Warrior's blade connected with the criminal, Hermann drove to the left causing the attack to miss.
"Tch...Berserkion, Direct Attack! Electro Saber!" Roy shouted as the monster charged forward and struck Herman with it's electrified blade.
HERMANN: 3100-100 LP
"You little bastard..." Hermann grunted.
"Alright! I set a card facedown, turn end." Roy concluded.
"Alright! He completely reversed the situation!" Hokuto cheered.
"And with Twin Magnet Barrier still active, Hermann can't inflict any effect damage! Roy's got this!" Sawatari cheered.
"My turn, draw!" Herman shouted. His eyes narrowed as he looked at his cards. "I set two cards facedown, turn end."
"He wasn't able to draw a monster..." Hokuto said.
"C'mon, Roy! Finish this!" Sawatari cheered.
"My turn!" Roy shouted as he drew before looking at his opponent. "Berserkion's effect activates! I banish Gamma the Magnet Warrior to destroy your facedown on the left!"
"Quick Play Spell, Cyclone activate! I destroy your Twin Magnet Barrier!" Hermann exclaimed as the black cyclone destroyed Roy's trap before Berserkion slashed through it.
"Now Roy can take effect damage again..." Hokuto realized.
"But Roy can win by attacking directly!" Sawatari shouted.
"I activate the Spell Card, Fusion! I fuse Berserkion the Electromagna Warrior and Valkyrion the Magna Warrior!" Roy shouted as his monster rose up into the fusion vortex.
"This monster..." Yugo's eyes widened as he remembered the monster Roy was about to summon from their duel during the Miami Championship.
"Magna Warriors of the past and future! Combine your strength and bring forth the Ultimate Machine! Fusion Summon! Come forth! Level 10! Imperion Magnum the Superconductive Battle Machine!" A giangantic monster with the combine size of both monsters with parts from both monsters and four legs. The monster had a giant grey sword in one hand and a cannon over it's left shoulder. It had four legs and had mechanical wings on it's back.

"That's a powerful monster..." Hermann uttered.
"U-Unbelievable! Roy has managed to Fusion Summonamonster with 4000 ATK!" Melissa shouted causing the crowd to cheer.
"So this is his deck's power..." Sawatari uttered in amazement.
"This is the end! Imperion Magnum, Direct Attack! Final Magnum Saber!" Roy exclaimed as the sword was enveloped in a yellow light. The monster charged forward and raised it's sword, getting ready to end the duel.
"I'm not done yet! Trap Activate! Doom's Ray! When my opponent declares a direct attack...BOTH OF US TAKE 800 POINTS OF DAMAGE FOR EACH CARD IN MY HAND!" Hermann shouted as his trap turned into purple energy that exploded outwards.
"He has one card in his hand..." Hokuto uttered.
"So both of them will take 800 damage!" Sawatari shouted with a fearful tone.
"I'm taking you out with me!" Hermann maniacally shouted.
"I won't let you! Imperion Magnum's effect activates! Once per turn, during either player's turn, when my opponent activates the effect of a spell, trap, or monster, the activation is negated and the card is destroyed! Magnetic Pulse Cannon!" Roy exclaimed as the Fusion monster shot a blue blast from it's shoulder cannon that disintegrated the purple energy.
"W-What?! Impossible!" Hermann shouted as his eyes widened in horror.

Herman then pulled into his team's pit and took off his helmet.
"Sorry...he figured out that I was trying to crash him..." Hermann uttered.
"Then I'll just have to defeat him with brute force!" Hans shouted before driving off on his D-Wheel.
"It seems that Team Catastrophe is sending out there second D-Wheeler, Hans! How will he match up against Roy who only has 400 life points, but has a 4000 ATK Fusion monster on his field!" Melissa shouted as Hans caught up to Roy and drove behind him.
"You'll pay in blood for defeating my teammate!" Hans angrily shouted.

"Not so fast! Imperion Magnum's effect can negate the activation of an effect once per turn! Magnetic Pulse Cannon!" Roy countered as his monster shot a blue blast at the red portal from it's shoulder cannon.
"I won't let you do that! Counter Trap, Jurrac Roar! When an effect is activated in response to a Jurrac monster's effect, that effect is negated and I can special summon a level 4 or lower Jurrac monster from my hand!" Hans exclaimed as the trap released a large dinosaur roar that echoed throughout the stadium. The roar created a sound wave that intercepted the blast.
"Tch..." Roy clicked his tongue.
"From my hand, I special summon Jurrac Ptiera! And from my deck, I special summon Jurrac Guaiba!" Hans shouted as a green and orange pterodactyl and a red and blue guaibasaurus appeared, both being surround by flames.

"Come forth! Level 7! Jurrac Tyrannus!" Hans shouted as a large tyrannosaurus appeared with an orange body, blue limbs, and black claws. The monster also had blue marking on it's body and green eyes.

Hans shouted as the spirit of Herrera appeared on his field and generated a roar strong enough to create a sound wave that intercepted the blast.

"Come, Jurrac Ptiera! Jurrac Guaiba!" Hans shouted as the fiery dinosaurs returned.

"Come forth! Level 9! Jurrac Taitan!" Hans shouted as an extremely large tyrannotitan appeared. The large dinosaur had sharp red and black skin that looked like it was made of volcanic rocks.It has lava running through it's body and yellow eyes.

"Let's go! Jurrac Taitan's effect activates! By banishing a Jurrac monster with 1700 ATK or lower in my graveyard, my monster gains 1000 ATK!" Hans shouted as the spirit of Pteria appeared on his field. The monster turned into red energy that was devoured by the tyrannotitan.

"4000 ATK...!" Hokuto uttered as both his and Sawatari's eye's widened.
"N-No way..." Roy uttered.
"He's going for mutual destruction...!" Yaiba realized with a fearful expression.
"HAHAHA! Battle! Jurrac Taitan, attack Imperion Magnum! Volcanic Crunch!" Hans cried as his monster's teeth glowed red while it charged at the Fusion. The dinosaur chomped through the battle machine, but the Fusion managed to strike the tyrannotitan with it's sword, causing a major explosion.
"Imperion Magnum!" Roy cried as the dust settled an neither monster was there.
"This is the end for you! Jurrac Tyrannus, finish him off! Direct Attack! Lava Rush!" Hans shouted as his tyrannosaurus shot a ball of lava at the defenseless magnet duelist that caused a huge explosion on impact.

As the smoke settled from where Roy was hit, Roy and his D-Wheel were steaming from the burning attack.
"And just like that, Hans has managed to defeat Roy and his ultimate battle machine! What an amazing play!" Melissa shouted.
Roy slowly drove back to the pit with his body leaning on his D-Wheel.
"Roy! Are you ok?!" Hokuto impatiently asked.
"Yeah...don't worry...I'm fine..." Roy uttered as he tried getting off of his D-Wheel, but winced in pain.
"Don't worry, I'll help you-"
"No...use these...and go defeat that guy...!" Roy softly said as he gave Hokuto his two Pendulum cards that were left on the field.
"Yeah, I'll help him. Go and beat that guy!" Sawatari told his teammate.
"Didn't you say you wanted to go next?" Hokuto asked.
"It's fine, I'll just be the final act...if necessary." Sawatari said.

Hans shouted as a orange and blue deinonychus appeared.

A wave of fire blasted out of the card that burned the Super Magnet Warriors and Constellar Crush to ashes.

Hokuto yelled as a new warrior appeared in a flash of bright light. The Knight had shark white and yellow armor with two yellow blades, one in each hand. The warrior had a emblem similar to Ptomely M7's head on it's chest and shared the same blue space-like wings as the dragon.

"Good going, idiot." Herman scoffed.
"Shut the hell up! You lost too!" Hans argued with his teammate as the two got closer together.
"Get out of my way you dumb asses! I'll win this for us!" Nicolas pushed both of his teammates away from each other and got on his D-Wheel before speeding off.
"And now, the final D-Wheeler on Team Catastrophe has entered the fray, Nicolas! Although his opponent has two Xyz monster with 3200 and 2700 ATK, Hokuto Shijima only has 700 life points left! Will he be able to pull through for his fallen teammates?! Let's find out!" Melissa shouted causing the crowd to cheer.

The yellow X-Shaped energy slash enveloped the black and red Knight causing an explosion that made Nicolas' D-Wheel wobble.

"Let's go! Hyades, direct attack!" Hokuto yelled as he looked back at the defenseless criminal. The Xyz monster leaped forward and slashed down at the front of Nicolas' D-Wheel, causing it to shake.

"And just like that, Nicolas is only at 1000 life points!" Melissa yelled.
"Alright!" Hokuto shouted.
"You think I'm just going to give up? In that case...you have another thing coming! Trap Activate! Return of the Devil King! When I receive a direct attack, I can revive a Devil King monster in my graveyard that was sent there this turn! Also, I gain life points equal to it's ATK! Return to the field, Knight of the Devil King!" Nicolas yelled as his Knight returned.

"Seductress' effect activates! Once per turn, I can target another Devil King monster and it becomes a tuner! I target my Knight!" Nicolas shouted. The women shot a red mist from the top of her staff at Knight, causing him to glow red.
"Making another monster a tuner..." Hokuto's eyes widened.
"Here comes his Synchro Summon..." Yugo uttered.
"I tune my level 5 Knight of the Devil King to my level 3 Seductress of the Devil King! Raging beast that lies dormant in the underworld! Arise onto the surface and rule over everything with your demonic power! Synchro Summom! Come forth! Level 8! Devil King Dragon - Beelze!" Nicolas shouted as the earth shook. Out of a momentary crack in the ground, a burst of black energy shot out. When it a dispersed and the crack closed, a red serpent-like dragon was revealed. It had two large heads and it had a dark fiend riding it.

"What an evil looking dragon!" Dennis said with a nerved tone.
"Battle! Beelze, attack Constellar Hyades! Dual Chaos Fury!" Nicolas shouted as black and red energy shot out of the dragon's mouths and at the smallest Xyz monster.
"If this attack hits, Hokuto Shijima will have 0 Life points!" Melissa yelled.
"Trap Activate! Constellar Radiation! Any damage from a battle involving Constellar monsters is halved!" Hokuto shouted as his monster was destroyed and the strength of the flames almost caused his D-Wheel to spin out.

"How did the sensation of the flames from the underworld feel?" Nicolas shouted.
"You bastard..." Hokuto grunted.
"I set a card face down, turn end!" Nicolas shouted.
"I won't let my team down...My turn! Targeting Orion, I activate the Equip Spell, Constellar Unity Force! By releasing Ptomely M7, when Orion attacks a monster during this turn, it deals damage equal to the destroyed monster's ATK to my opponent! Also, the attack can't be negated!" Hokuto yelled as his dragon turned into yellow particles that flew into Orion.
"That means Nicolas will take a grand total of 3200 damage!" Sawatari shouted.
"And with only 3100 life points left, Hokuto will beat him!"
"Battle! Orion, attack Beelze! Prepare to face the wrath of the burning light! Celestial Starlight Slash!" Hokuto exclaimed. The yellow energy slash collided with the dragon, causing a giant wave of smoke to cover up the field.

"Now take 3000 damage and lose!" Hokuto exclaimed.
"You think you won...HAHAHAHA!" Nicolas laughed like a mad man.
As the smoke cleared, the giant dragon remained completely unmarked and on the field.
"But I destroyed that dragon!" Hokuto yelled in horror.
"No, you didn't! Beelze's effect protects it from being destroyed by battle or card effects! Also, my dragon gains ATK equal to damage I take by battle or your card effects!" Nicolas explained as the dragon's yellow eyes glowed while powering up.
Beelze (3000/3000)-(3200/3000)
"What an effect!" Gongenzaka gasped.
"How can they even beat that thing?!" Masumi said in a worried tone.
"Nicolas has finally showcased his monster's terrifying effect!" Melissa shouted.
"I...end my turn..." Hokuto dejectedly said.
"My turn! Battle! Beelze, attack Constellar Paladin Orion! And since Beelze can't be destroyed, your monster is the only one that will be leaving the field!" Nicolasshouted as the dragon obliterated the Paladinwith it's attack.
"Damn..."
"Next, I activate the Quick Play Spell, Devil King's Impact! A Devil King monster can attack once more!"
"WHAT?!" Hokuto yelled.
"Be gone! Beelze, incinerate him with your flames of the underworld! DUAL CHAOS FURY!" Nicolas roared as the two red and black bursts of flames consumed Hokuto causing him and his D-Wheel to go flying through the air.

"HOKUTO!" Yaiba shouted at his television at the sight of his friend flying through the air.
Although being extremely weak, Hokuto managed to maintain his grip on the D-Wheel as it hit the ground on it's wheels.
"That was a close one..." Masumi sighed in relief for her friend.
"That's it! With the strength of his hellish dragon, Nicolas managed to defeat Hokuto! Meaning, Team Magnetic Stars
Hokuto pulled into the pit and weakly got off his D-Wheel before kneeling down out of exhaustion and pain.
"Damn it...he got me good...I'm sorry..." Hokuto weakly said.
"You did great! If you crashed, we would have automatically lost, so we still have a chance." Roy said while helping Hokuto up.
"Not a chance. More like a guaranteed victory and a magnificent display of power and entertainment by yours truly!" Sawatari over confidently said before racing off on his D-Wheel.
"Well...if he is half as strong as he is confident, than we definitely have a shot at this." Roy sighed.
"I believe in him." Hokuto admitted.
"Yeah, me too." Roy also said.
"Racing onto the track is the final member of Team Magnetic Stars...Shingo Sawatari! Will he be able to pull off a victory against Nicolas who controls an unstoppable 3200 ATK dragon! Let's find out!" Melissa yelled as the crowd cheered.
"C'mon, Sawatari..." Yuya muttered.
"It's time to show this dimension my entertainment! And that starts with defeating you!" Sawatari pointed at Nicolas and smirked.
"How naive. I'll just have to put you in your place!" Nicolas shouted.
"Bring it on!"

"That's still not strong enough!" Nicolas yelled.

"Go, Curtain Raiser!" Sawatari shouted. The fiend flew forward and delivered a blow to the center of the dragon's body, causing a shockwave to rattle Nicolas' D-Wheel, making him swerve to the side of the track.

"Alright!" Sawatari cheerfully yelled.
"He got Nicolas down to only 500 life points!" Serena said in amazement.
"But his dragon's effect...!" Crow said with a worried tone.
"HeheheHAHAHAHA! Beelze's effect activates! It's ATK increases by the amount of damage I just took! Beelze gains 2400 ATK!" Nicolas shouted as his dragon's ATK skyrocketed as it roared.

"Now what can Sawatari do?!" Yugo shouted with a worried tone.
"I'm not scared of your dragon or you! I set a card facedown and end my turn!"

When an Abyss Actor monster is attacked, by banishing my attacked monster, the battle phase ends! Then, I can draw a card!" Sawatari shouted as his fiend dispersed into particles, dodging the attack.
"How lucky. But I can work with this! Trap Activate! Greed of the Devil King! When a Devil King monster fails to inflict battle damage during the battle phase, I gain life points equal to the difference between it's current and original ATK!" Nicolas shouted as his body was enveloped in green light.

"Turn End!" Nicolas shouted.
"Alright, it's time for act 2 of slaying the dragon! My...turn!" Sawatari shouted as he drew. "Perfect! Extra's Pendulum effect! While my opponent controls a monster, I can summon this card from the Pendulum Zone! Come, Abyss Actor Extra!"

"Extra's effect activates! I release this card to set an Abyss Actor into my Pendulum Zone from my deck!" Sawatari shouted as the monster dispersed into particles that flew into Sawatari's deck, causing a card to pop out.
"From the deck?!" Yuya shouted. Sawatari's Pendulum skills sure were admirable.
"With the Scale 1 Abyss Actor Devil Heel, I set the Pendulum Scale!" Sawatari shouted as the large dark fiend rose up.

"We'll see whose laughing in a moment! Funky Comedian's Pendulum effect! By sending Sassy Rookie to the Extra Deck, Big Star gains it's ATK!"

"That's no where near enough!" Nicolas yelled.
"Watch this! Devil Heel's effect! By sending Wild Hope to the Extra Deck, a monster on your field loses ATK equal to Wild Hope's ATK!" Sawatari shouted as Wild Hope turned into particles that flew into Beelze, weakening it.

"No way!" Nicolas shouted in awe.
"Battle! Big Star, slay that demonic dragon! Fantasy Stream!" Sawatari commanded as magician/fiend shot a blue blast from it's hands that collided with the dragon.
"Beelze can't be destroyed! I'll win this duel next turn!" Nicolas shouted.
"Fantasy Magic's effect activates! When the targeted monster would destroy another monster, it is sent back to the hand instead! And Beelze's effect can't prevent itself from being sent back to the hand, or in this case, the Extra Deck!"
"What?!" Nicolas yelled with a horrified expression.
The blue blast of magic broke through the dragon, turning it into particles that flew back into Nicolas' Extra Deck.

"He did it!" Hokuto shouted.
"Sawatari has really stepped up his game..." Yuya uttered.
"A-Amazing! Sawatari managed to destroy the unbeatable demon dragon!" Melissa shouted causing the crowd to cheer.
"Alright! I set a card facedown, turn end! Did you like my act, everyone?" Sawatari asked the audience.
"YEAHHHH!"
"Damn brat...defeating my dragon...you'll pay for that! MY TURN!" Nicolas shouted, slightly scarring Sawatari.
"Someone's angry..." Sawatari muttered.
"Continuous Trap Activate! Call of the Living Dead! Revive, Knight of the Devil King!"

"Demonic beast trapped in the chains of the underworld! Manifest onto the battlefield as a raging deity and consume everything in darkness! SYNCHRO SUMMON! Come forth! Level 10! Devil King Super Dragon - Beelzeus!"
Out of a large crack in the ground, an even great burst of dark energy shot out, consuming the field.
A humongous black and purple serpentine dragon appeared that had two large dragon heads that were connected to a big fiendish head with sharp teeth and yellow eyes. The dragon towered over Sawatari's field, making him extremely nervous.
Devil King Super Dragon - Beelzeus (4000/4000) LVL: 10
"W-What the hell is monster?!" Roy uttered in horror.
"Can Sawatari really defeat such a beast?" Gongenzaka questioned.
"This is my full strength! Just like my previous dragon, Beelzeus' effect prevents it from being destroyed by battle or card effects!" Nicolas shouted with a grin.
"Not this again..." Sawatari said with a worried tone.
"Beelzeus' effect activates! Once per turn, I can target one of your monsters and it's ATK is reduced to 0, but all damage is halved this turn! Also, I gain life points equal to the amount of ATK lost!"
"What?!" Sawatari shouted.
"Do it, Beelzeus! HELL GAZE!" Nicolas roared. The center head's bright yellow eyes glowed as the opposing fiend was consumed in dark energy, completely draining it. Then, Nicolas was consumed in green energy.

"Big Star!" Sawatari yelled in concern. "B-But I'll only take 2000 damage since your dragon's effect halves the damage!"
"Think again! Trap Activate! Assault of the Devil King! Since Beelzeus was Synchro Summoned during this turn, it can make as many attacks as it had Synchro Materials! Meaning, Beelzeus can make up to 3 attacks during this turn's battle phase!"
"What?!
"You're dead! BATTLE! Beelzeus, attack Big Star! SPIRALING DARK CHAOS!" Nicolas roared as a black and purple spiraling blast shot out of both of the dragon head's mouths. The attack consumed the fiend, causing a big explosion.
"GAAAAH!" Sawatari shouted in pain as the explosion hit the front of his D-Wheel, causing his front wheel to go upwards.

"SAWATARI!" Roy and Hokuto yelled as the D-Wheel almost flipped.
Sawatari gritted his teeth as he managed to balance his D-Wheel on his back wheel, doing a wheelie before the front wheel went back down to the ground.
"That was close..." Both sighed.
"This is the end! Beelzeus, Direct Attack! SPIRALING DARK CHAOS!" Nicolas shouted as the dragon shot another dark energy blast at the blonde haired boy.
"He'll take 2000 damage!" Hokuto realized.
"I...won't lose! My performance isn't over yet!" Sawatari shouted with a smirk. "It's time for a heroic save! Trap Activate! Abyss Actor Critical Critique!"
Suddenly, a portal appeared in front of the attack and Big Star jumped out of it.
"What the hell is this?!" Nicolas asked.
"Since you declared a direct attack, I can target an Abyss Actor in my extra deck that was destroyed this turn and the attacking monster's ATK is decreased by the target's ATK until the end of the turn! I targeted Big Star!" Sawatari exclaimed as Big Star rushed forward into the attack before dispersing into particles.

"Tch...I can still make a third attack! Go, SPIRALING DARK CHAOS!" Nicolas yelled as the attack consumed Sawatari once more.

"Sorry...but you won't be getting a next turn! Because I'm going to win this duel right now! The final act of slaying the dragon begins right now! My turn...DRAW!" Sawatari shouted as he drew. He looked at his card and grinned.
"Can he really pull this off...?" Yuto wondered.
"With the set scale, Pendulum Summon! Come to the stage, my monsters! Returning for an encore from the Extra Deck, Abyss Actor Wild Hope! Abyss Actor Sassy Rookie! And the magnificent star of the show, Abyss Actor Big Star!" Sawatari shouted as the three fiends returned.

"No, it isn't...because I'm about to win this duel! Funky Comedian's Pendulum effect! By sending Sassy Rookie to the Extra Deck, Big Star gains it's ATK!"

"That's no where near enough!" Nicolas yelled.
"Watch this! Devil Heel's effect! By sending Wild Hope to the Extra Deck, a monster on your field loses ATK equal to Wild Hope's ATK!" Sawatari shouted as Wild Hope turned into particles that flew into Beelze, weakening it.

"So what?! Beelzeus can't be destroyed by battle or card effects! At this rate, you can only inflict 1800 damage through battle! And next turn, I'll attack your monster and win! It's over!"
"You think so?"
"WHAT?!"
"This is the key to my victory! Quick Play Spell, Cyclone activate! Now, I can destroy a Spell or Trap on the field! I destroy...Abyss Actor Funky Comedian!" Sawatari shouted as the yellow fiend was consumed by a black tornado.
"Why did he do that?" Yaiba asked.
"Is this your way of giving up?" Nicolas taunted.
"Not at all! With the Scale 9 Abyss Actor Twinkle Littlestar, I set the Pendulum Scale!"

"So he destroyed his Funky Comedian to set this card in the Pendulum Zone...!" Yuto realized.
"Wait...this card is...!" Yuya said as he remembered the card from when Sawatari, Yaiba, and Masumi dueled Security.
"Twinkle Littlestar's Pendulum effect! I can target an Abyss Actor Pendulum monster on my field and it can attack up to three times this turn! But, no other monsters can attack in exchange. I obviously target Big Star!" Sawatari grinnedas his strategy was now complete.
"1800 times 3 is..." Melissa said to herself before her eyes widened. "...5400!"
"You have exactly 5400 life points...this is my perfect strategy!" Sawatari grinned.
"This...can't be!" Nicolas shouted.
"Let's go! BATTLE! Abyss Actor Big Star, attack Beelzeus 3 times and end this duel!" Sawatari shouted as his ace jumped high into the sky.
Suddenly, both riders spotted two Action Cards, one on the left and one on the right side of the track.
"I won't lose!" Nicolas shouted as he raced to the left.
"Nor will I!" Sawatari yelled as he raced to the right.
"Action Spell, Zero Penalty! Big Star's ATK becomes 0-!"
"Action Spell, No Action! Zero Penalty is negated and destroyed!" Sawatari smirked.
"N-No way...!" Nicolas uttered.
"This is the finale!" Sawatari shouted as he pointed to the sky.
As he did this, Big Star split into 3 Big Stars due to Twinkle Littlestar's effect.
"And even though your dragon isn't destroyed...YOU STILL TAKE THE DAMAGE! Do it, Big Star! TRIPLE SHOW STOPPER SMASH!"
The three fiends began to spin like three tornadoes and slammed their feet into the heads of the demonic dragon, causing a large explosion that enveloped the entire field.
"GRAAAAAAAAAAHHH!"

Nicolas' D-Wheel let out steam as it came to a stop while Sawatari raced by.
"AND IT'S OVER! With Sawatari winning the round against Nicolas, Team Magnetic Stars advances to the top 16!" Melissa shouted as the crowd roared in excitement.
"Thank you! Thank you!" Sawatari got off his D-Wheel and began to bow to his audience.
"Great job!" Hokuto and Roy shouted as they ran over to the boy.
"Thanks..." Sawatari said before loosing his footing out of exhaustion. But, both his teammates caught him and cheerfully laughed.
"He did it...!" Yuya smiled. Despite how he started off when they first met, Sawatari was truly an entertainer.
He then thought about how Sawatari defeated his opponent without maliciousness and the crowd cheered for him. Maybe their was still hope for the people of this dimension.
"Alright folks! With the fourth duel of the round over, this concludes Day 1 of the Friendship Cup! Here are the final duels for the first round that will happen tomorrow!" Melissa shouted as the screen revealed the final matches of this round.

"We're facing the team with the guy Yugo faced in the Facility..." Yuto realized.
"We're facing another Lancer Team this early on? What the hell is up with that?!" Yugo angrily shouted.
"I guess it's just the luck of the draw...it was going to happen at some point..." Yuzu said.
Shun glared at the screen as his fists tightened. 'Good...I'll expose and defeat him...I'll make that damn spy pay...!'
Woohoo! Finally finished! Sorry it took so long but Yuya vs Playmaker took 25 days to write and then I took a week off. But, I'm happy I managed to finish this chapter because I wanted to get it out of the way because some fun duels are coming up.
And just to be clear, Fortune Ark vs Dark Hunters will be off screen and every other due in the tournament will be fully written, you have my word. I just don't want to waste time writing duels that either don't contain the main cast, don't contribute to the part, or just aren't generally fun to write. And it isn't always fun using decks that weren't in the anime.
Honestly, I don't have much to say about the duel except that there was no way in hell I would let my boy Sawatari lose round 1. And also, I felt that this turned out ok tbh, but I wasn't really the most motivated. But don't worry, because I'm super motivated for the next chapter. Spoiler for the next duel: get ready for Synchro Spam lol.
So, I was going to have some dialogue with some characters during this chapter, but I decided to save it for next time.
