(Edit 2/1/21: So...I've ran into MANY problems with Scale 29's file. The spacing has changed. The bolding isn't working. And the document keeps resetting every f*ing time I make a change. And this is also happening with the chapter I'm writing. So...the only option I've seen work is by not using bolded words. This is a major bummer since I always use bolded words for stats. So, until the issue is resolved, I will not be using bolded words and the spacing might look weird at parts. This isn't my fault and I will do everything in my power to fix these stupid issues. "Alright everyone! It's time for the fifth match of the first round to begin...which is Team Devastation vs Team Revolution! Which of these two teams will win?! Find out now!" Melissa shouted.
Team Revolution walked out of their tunnel causing the crowd of Commons to cheer loudly.
Shinji and Damon remained in their normal clothes while Tokumatsu wore a yellow and green D-Wheel outfit.
"Guys let me go first! I want to show those Tops what us Commons can really do!" Damon enthusiastically shouted.
"Alright! Good luck!" Tokumatsu said.
"Go for it!" Shinji encouraged.
"Thanks!" Damon nodded before getting in his D-Wheel and driving off to the starting line.
"The first duelist for Team Revolution is Damon! But where is Team Devastation?" Melissa asked as everyone turned to the empty pit.
Suddenly, a red and black D-Wheel shot out of the tunnel and onto the track.
"Woah! The Black Rose Witch has arrived on the track! And she ditched the Cloak too!" Melissa said. The Witch was now wearing a red and black D-Wheel and visorleas helmet. She had on her white mask. She drove out in her red and black D-Wheel and stopped next to Damon.
"Where's your team?" Damon asked.
"I don't need them. I can beat all of you on my own." The Witch coldly said.
"If that's the case, all Team Revolution needs to do is beat the Black Rose Witch in order to win the match!" Melissa shouted.
"She is really confident..." Yugo said.
"But she's really strong too..." Yuzu nervously spoke.
"Fine by me! I'll win the match for my team!" Damon shouted but the Witch I fired him and looked straight ahead.
"Let's start the match! Action Field On! Field Spell, Crossover Accel activate!" Melissa shouted as a sphere of cards bursted, causing them to spread all through out the track.
DUEL MODE: ON! AUTOPILOT, STAND BY!
At the same time, both duelist's duel disk blades activated and a holographic screen with a countdown starting at 3 appeared in front of the two.

BLACK ROSE WITCH: 4000 LP vs DAMON: 4000 LP
Both the Black Rose Witch and Damon raced off to the first corner together. They were even at first, but the Witch managed to barely managed to get head and passed the corner first.
"And the Black Rose Witch is taking the first move!" Melissa shouted.
"Prepare to be defeated." The Witch told her opponent.
"I don't care about the stories I've heard about you...I'll definitely defeat you!" Damon declared as he pointed at his opponent.
"My turn." The Witch said, ignoring her opponent. "I summon Evil Thorn!"
A scrawny green plant appeared holding a black thorn cage on the Witch's field.
Evil Thorn (100/300) LVL: 1
"Evil Thorn's effect activates. I release Evil Thorn to inflict 300 damage to you! Evil Burst!" The witch shouted as the plant dispersed and dark thorns hit the front of Damon's D-Wheel.
DAMON: 4000-3700 LP
"And now you are defenseless!" Damon shouted.
"Not for long. Evil Thorn's effect continues! I can now special summon two Evil Thorns from my deck in Attack Position, but they cannot activate their effects!" The masked woman shouted as two copies of the plant appeared.

"I activate the Spell Card, Garden Draw! I draw 2 since there are 2 Plant-types on the field! Next, I activate the Spell Card, Closed Plant Gate! Since I control two Plant monsters with the same name, you cannot attack during your next turn!" Black Rose Witch shouted as her monster's vines extended outwards, creating a wall.
"What?!" Damon shouted.
"Turn end." The Witch concluded.
"Don't play games with me! My turn! I summon Alien Soldier!" Damon shouted as a green monster appeared that had dark armor with blue orbs on it and a sword.

"I set three card facedown, turn end." Damon begrudgingly concluded, not being able to do anything else.
"My turn! I activate the Spell Card, Graceful Charity! I draw 3 cards, then I discard 2. I release one of my Evil Thorns to Advance Summon Rose Tentacles!" The woman shouted as one of her plants dispersed and a squid-like rose with tentacle vines appeared.

"Next, I activate the Continuous Spell, Ivy Shackle! During my turn, monsters on your field are treated as Plant-type monsters." The Witch explained.
"Turning my monsters into Plants?" Damon questioned.
"Battle! Rose Tentacles, attack Alien Soldier! Thorn Whip!" The Witch exclaimed as a vine launched towards the Alien monster.
"Quick Play Spell, "A" Cell Scatter Burst! By releasing an Alien monster on my field, I can distribute A-Counters to monsters on your field equal to my monster's level! I release the level 4 Alien Soldier to place 3 A-Counters on Rose Tentacles and 1 A-Counter on Evil Thorn!" Damon shouted as his monster turned into 4 dark orbs that flew into the plants.

"Alright! Damon is setting up his strategy!" Shunning cheered.
"The battle continues. Rose Tentacles attacks directly!Thorn Whip!"
"That's not getting through! Trap Activate! "A" Cell Infection! When an opponent's monster that had an A-Counter declares a direct attack, the attack is negated! Also, you take damage equal to the amount of A-Counters on the field times 200! Now take 800 damage!" Damon shouted as a blast of dark energy hit the masked woman.
BLACK ROSE WITCH: 4000-3200 LP
"Rose Tentacles can make an additional attack equal to the amount of Plant-type monsters that were on your field at the beginning of the Battle Phase. Alien Soldier was treated as a Plant, so Rose Tentacles can attack once more! Direct Attack! Thorn Whip Two!" The Witch shouted as the thorny vine propelled forward and scratched the Alien user down the center of his outfit, tearing through it and making him bleed.
DAMON: 3700-1500 LP
"Damon!" Shinji shouted.
"Trap Activate...Hypnotic Healing! When I am dealt damage from a direct attack by a monster with an A-Counter on it...I regain life points equal to the damage I just took..!" Damon explained as he was enveloped in a green aura.
DAMON: 1500-3700 LP
"Tch...I set 2 cards facedown and I'll switch Evil Thorn into Defense Position. Turn end." The woman concluded.
Evil Thorn (100/300)-(100/300)
"My turn, draw! I'll end this right now! I summon Alien Warrior!" Damon shouted as a silver armored monster with black orbs on it appeared.

"Continuous Trap Activate! Mass Hypnosis! Since I control an Alien Monster...I gain control of your monsters that have A-Counters on them!" Damon yelled as his trap let out a hypnotic wave that forced the plants off of the woman's field and onto his own.
"Hell yeah, Damon!" Shinji shouted.
"I'll switch Evil Thorn to Attack Position!"
Evil Thorn (100/300)-(100/300)
"Battle! I'm ending you during this turn, Witch! Alien Warrior, Direct Attack!" Damon shouted as the monster charged forward and slashed down at the cloaked women.
"Continuous Trap, Drowning Rose Petals activate! Now I can place Rose Counters on the card equal to the amount of Plant-type monsters currently on your field! My trap gains 2 Rose Counters since you control Rose Tentacles and Evil Thorn!"

"The attack continues!" Damon shouted.
"My trap's other effect activates! By removing a Rose Counter from this card, I can negate a direct attack!" The masked women yelled as a storm of red petals blocked the attack.

"Damon played right into her move..." Tokumatsu said.
"Tch...go, Rose Tenticles! Direct Attack!" Damon commanded.
"By reducing my Trap's Rose Counters by 1, the attack is negated!"

"Now that my Trap has no more counters, it is destroyed." Black Rose Witch explained as the trap bursted.
"Go, Evil Thorn! Direct Attack!" Damon shouted as the plant released multiple thorns that slightly pricked the women.
BLACK ROSE WITCH: 3200-3100 LP
"He could only deal 100 damage..." Crow uttered with a worried tone.
"Damn it...Turn end." Damon concluded. "During the end phase Mass Hypnosis was activated, it's destroyed and you regain control of your monsters."
As the trap shattered, the plants returned to the Witch's side of the field.
"My turn! Due to my Continuous Spell Ivy Shackle, your Alien Warrior is treated as a Plant Monster! Meaning, my Rose Tentacles can make up to 2 attacks this turn! Battle! Rose Tentacles, attack Alien Warrior! Thorn Whip!" Black Rose Witch shouted as her monster's vine launched at the alien.
"Hehehe...I'll show you the true power of my Alien Monsters! All Alien monsters have an effect that decrease a battling monster's ATK by 300 for each A-Counter attached to it! Your Rose Tentacles has 3, so it loses 900 ATK!" Damon shouted as the large plant weakened.
Rose Tentacles (2200/1200)-(1300/1200)
"Counterattack, Alien Warrior!" Damon shouted. The silver armored alien jumped forward and slashed through the plant with it's claws.
BLACK ROSE WITCH: 3100-2600 LP
"Wait to go!" Shinji cheered.
"I switch Evil Thorn to defense position and I set a card facedown, turn end." The women concluded, seemingly unfazed.
"My turn! Quick Play Spell, Mysterious Triangle activate! I can destroy 1 monster on the field with an A-Counter on it! I'll destroy your only monster!" Damon shouted as energy from a triangular crack in the ground shot upwards and incinerated the plant. "Then, I can special summon a level 4 Alien monster on my field! Come on out, Alien Kid!"
A silver and green colored monster green orbs across it's body appeared. The smaller alien carried a green blaster.

"If both of Damon's monsters attack directly, he can win!" Tokumatsu shouted.
"Battle! Go, my aliens! Attack directly!" Damon commanded as both Alien Kid and Warrior leaped forward at the masked women.
"Continuous Trap, Call of the Living Dead! Be reborn, Rose Tentacles!" The Witch shouted as her monster returned to the field.

"Tch...Alien Kid's effect! Anytime a monster is special summoned to your field, it gains an A-Counter!"

The women spotted an Action Card and tilted her D-Wheel downwards, grabbing the card.
"Action Spell, Forced Battle! The monster with the highest ATK on your field is forced to battle my monster!" The Witch shouted.
"Go, Alien Warrior! At this moment, your monster loses 300 ATK since is has 1 A-Counter! And this effect activates twice with both of my monsters on the field!"
Rose Tentacles (2200/1200)-(1600/1200)
"I banish Plant Berserker in my graveyard to activate it's effect! When a Plant-type monster battles, by banishing this card, it gains 300 ATK for each Plant-type on the field during the battle!" The Witch yelled.

"Go, Thorn Whip!" The plant drove it's vine through the center of the alien, causing a small explosion.

"Alien Warrior's effect activates! When this card is destroyed by battle, I can place 2 A-Counters on your monster!"

The silver and green alien shot an energy beam from it's green blaster that blasted through the plant and destroyed it.

"Alright! Turn End!" Damon concluded with a satisfied look.
"Damon is doing pretty well against her...can he actually win this?" Yugo wondered.
"No...she's toying with him..." Yuzu said, knowing what it was like when the Witch was truly serious.
"My turn. I activate the Spell Card, Pot of Greed! I draw 2! I summon Phoenixian Seed." The Witch said as a small red and yellow plant appeared.

"Then, by sending Phoenixian Seed to my graveyard, I can summon Phoenixian Cluster Amaryllis!" The Witch yelled as a red, orange, and yellow plant that was shaped like a phoenix appeared.

"Alien Kid's effect! Since your monster was special summoned, it gains an A-Counter!"

"Battle! Amaryllis, attack Alien Kid!" The Witch commanded as her monster's ATK decreased due to it having 1 A-Counter.

"Go, Flame Petal!" The masked women shouted as her monster shot a barrage of red bullets that shredded through the alien monster.
DAMON: 3600-3300 LP
"Amaryllis' effect activates! After attacking, this card is destroyed! And due to Amaryllis' other effect, when this card is destroyed, you take 800 points of damage! Scatter Flame!" The Witch shouted as her plant exploded into flames that scorched the front of Damon's D-Wheel.
DAMON: 3300-2500 LP
"Grr..." Damon grunted.
"I set one card facedown and end my turn. At this moment, Amaryllis' effect in my graveyard activates! It can revive itself from the graveyard in Defense position by banishing a Plant-type monster in my graveyard! I banish Phoenixian Seed and Phoenixian Cluster Amaryllis revives!"

"My turn, draw!" Damon shouted as he drew. He looked at his card and grinned. "Hell yeah! This is what I need to win! I summon the tuner monster, Alien Monite!"
A small blue alien monster that looked like a shell appeared on Damon's field.
Alien Monite (500/200) LVL: 1
"Alien Monite's effect activates! I can revive a level 4 or lower Alien monster from my graveyard, but it's destroyed at the end of the turn! Revive, Alien Soldier!" Damon yelled as a dark portal appeared and his monster leaped out of it.
Alien Soldier (1900/800) LVL: 4
"He's setting up for his ace!" Shinji realized.
"Let's go! I tune my level 1 Alien Monite to my level 4 Alien Soldier! Ruler of extra terrestrial life! Travel through space and arrive on the battlefield with the goal to conquer all! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 5! Cosmic Fortress Gul'Gar!" Damon shouted as a green flash of light enveloped the field.
As the light dissipated, Damon's ace monster was reversed. The large green monstrous alien had three cyan eyes and green tentacles protruding from it's body that had eyes at the tips. It has a shell-like back and large pink tentacles at the front of it's body. The sight of the monster made the crowd stare in awe and the younger audience members cried out of horror.
Cosmic Fortress Gul'Gar (2600/1800) LVL: 5
Despite the humongous monster opposing her, the Witch's composure didn't change at all.
"W-Woah...Damon has showed off his frightening ace monster..." Melissa uttered.
"Go, Damon!" Shinji cheered.
"Continuous Spell, Cosmic Fortress Cannon activate! While I control Cosmic Fortress Gul'Gar, I can activate this card! And once per turn, a spell or trap on your field is destroyed! I'll destroy your facedown card!" Damon yelled.
A blast shot out of his card and destroyed the facedown card.
"I'm not done! Cosmic Fortress Gul'Gan's effect activates! Once per turn, I can return any amount of face up spells and traps on either players field! Then, I can place A-Counters on a monster on your field! I return Cosmic Fortress Cannon on my field and Ivy Shackle on your field! And then I place 2 A-Counters on Phoenixian Cluster Amaryllis!" Damon shouted as cyan beams shot out of the monster's eyes that hit the two Continuous Spells and the plant.

"Then, I activate the other effect of Cosmic Fortress Gul'Gan! By removing 2 A-Counters from anywhere on the field, a monster on the field is destroyed! Your defense is gone!"

The monster's tentacles shot forward and crushed the phoenix-like plant.
"Amaryllis' effect activates! Since it is destroyed, you take 800 damage!" The plant exploded into flames that shot forward and burned Damon's arm.
"GAAAH!"

"It doesn't matter...because you are wide open for a direct attack! Battle! Cosmic Fortress Gun'Gir, Direct Attack! End this duel! E.T. Giga End!"
A powerful green blast shot out of the alien's mouth directly at the defenseless Witch.
"...Guardian Plant's effect in my graveyard activates! I can special this card from my graveyard when my opponent declares a direct attack and it is banished when it leaves the field."

The small plant with large leaves in front of it's body appeared in front of the blast, saving the Witch.
"He didn't finish it..." Shinji uttered.
"How did that card get in the graveyard?" Gongenzaka asked.
"It must've been when she used Graceful Charity..." Yuto realized.
"Damn...I'll finish you off next turn. Turn End!" Damon concluded.
"You're strategy was well executed, but you are no where near strong enough to win. My turn." The Witch said calmly as she drew. "I summon the tuner monster, Witch of the Black Rose!"
A small women with purple hair and a black and purple outfit appeared that carried a wooden rod with an orb at the top.
Witch of the Black Rose (1700/1200) LVL: 4
"When this card is summoned, I can draw a card. And if it is not a monster, this card is destroyed. Draw!" The women yelled as she drew. "I drew the monster, Ivy Wall. Next I activate the Spell Card, Double Summon! I can normal summon once more. I summon Ivy Wall!"
A monster appeared that was a wall of thorny vines appeared next to her tuner.
Ivy Wall (300/1200) LVL: 2
"She's going to Synchro Summon...!"
"I tune my level 4 Witch of the Black Rose to my level 2 Ivy Wall! Hunter of splendid thorns hidden in the sacred forest, with your whip of punishment in hand, show yourself! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 6! Splendid Rose!" The Witch shouted as a blonde hair man wearing a half black and half green outfit. He had four thorny vines protruding from his back.

"That monster is too weak to go up against mine!" Damon shouted.
"Splendid Rose's effect activates! Once per turn, by banishing a Plant-type monster such as Evil Thorn, a monster on your field has it's ATK halved!" The Black Rose Witch shouted.
"What?!"
The vines on the Synchro monster's back shot outwards and wrapped around the gigantic alien, draining it's ATK.
Gul'Gar (2600/1800)-(1300/1800)
"Battle! Splendid Rose, attack Cosmic Fortress Gul'Gar! Hunter's Whip!" The masked women called out as the man grabbed onto one of his vines and swung it through the alien, causing a huge explosion.
"GAAAAAH!" Damon yelled in pain as he was hit by the explosion.
DAMON: 1700-800 LP
"...I'm still...in this duel..." Damon uttered.
"No, you are not. Splendid Rose's other effect activates! By banishing a Plant-type monster such as another copy of Evil Thorn, this card's ATK is halved until the end of the turn and this card can attack once again!"
Splendid Rose (2200/2000)-(1100/2000)
"I lost..." Damon uttered.
"Oh no...Damon!" Shinji yelled.
"Finish this, Splendid Rose. Direct Attack! Hunter's Whip!" The Witch commanded.
The Synchro monster leaped high in the air and hovered above the alien user. He grabbed one of his vines and swung it at Damon. The whip hit the back of Damon's back, ripping through his outfit and causing him to screen in pain.
"GRAAAAAAHHHH!"
DAMON: 800-0 LP
Splendid Rose (1100/2000)-(2200/2000)
"And the first round of the match has concluded! The Black Rose Witch overcame the odds and defeated Damon with an impressive final move!" Melissa shouted, ignoring the fact that Damon was extremely injured and bleeding.
"Wow! She's actually a very entertaining duelist!"
"Yeah!"
"They're...cheering for her...for this..." Yuya uttered as his fist tightened.
"Damon..." Crow uttered at the sight of his bleeding friend.
As Damon pulled into the pit, Shinji's eyes widened at the sight of his condition. The clothes on Damon's back were completely ripped up and blood was steaming from his wound on his back.
"Damon!" Shinji said in horror as he rushed over to his friend.
"I'm ok...don't worry...just beat her..." Damon uttered before passing out.
A medical team showed up and patched up his back before taking him away on a stretcher.
"Damn it...I'll defeat her, Damon! I'll avenge you!" Shinji shouted.
"Let me. I'll defeat her while letting the crowd enjoy themselves!" Tokumatsu said with a determined look.
"But-"
"Trust me. I'll defeat her with my dueling!" Tokumatsu confidently said.
"Ok, I believe in you, Tokumatsu." Shinji said.
Tokumatsu got onto his D-Wheel after putting his helmet off. He nodded at his teammate before speeding off.
"The second member of Team Revolution that will be dueling the Black Rose Witch will be none other than the legendary Chojiro Tokumatsu!" Melissa shouted as the crowd roared in excitement.
"Is that really him?!"
"I can't believe it!"
"Young lady, no matter who you are or what you have done, I promise that I will make this duel enjoyable for everyone! ENJOY!" Tokumastu shouted causing the crowd to cheer.
"..." The Black Rose Witch didn't respond to the man'a declaration.
"Alright! Let's go!"
"DUEL!"
BLACK ROSE WITCH: 2300 LP vs TOKUMASTU: 4000 LP
"My turn!" Tokumatsu shouted as he drew. "I summon Cardian - Matsu!"
Cardian - Matsu (100/100) LVL: 1
"Next, "I activate the effect of Cardian - Matsu ni Tsuru from my Hand! With this, I am able to release Matsu and Special Summon it!" Tokumatsu took Matsu off his Duel Disk and swiped his new Card onto his Duel Disk in its place. The monster was a painting of a crane and it was summoned in defense position.

"Now, I can draw a card!" Tokumastu shouted as he drew. "The card I drew was not a Cardian monster, so I must discard it! I set a card facedown, Turn end!"
"My turn. I activate the Equip Spell, Thorn of Hatred and I equip it to Splendid Rose! Now, my monster gains 600 ATK and it can inflict piercing damage!" The Witch shouted as her monster was enveloped in a dark aura while the vines on his back extended outwards.

"Battle! Splendid Rose, attack Matsu ni Tsuru! Hunter's Whip of Hatred!" The women yelled as this time, the four vines shot forward at the Cardian, ripping through and destroying it.

"Next, Splendid Rose's effect activates-!"
"Trap Activate! Card Crash! When a monster destroys a Cardian monster, it's effects are permanently negated! Then, I draw a card!" Tokumatsu countered.
"...Turn end." The women concluded.
"My turn! I activate the Spell Card, Card Regeneration! I activate the Spell Card, Card Regeneration! This card lets me special summon a Cardian monster from my graveyard! Revive, Cardian - Matsu ni Tsuru!"

"I activate the Spell Card, Card Reserve! With this card, I can make Mastu ni Tsuru level 2!"

"Also, I can draw a card! If I draw the right card, it's a sign of the revival of my Enjoy Dueling! Draw!" Tokumatsu shouted as he drew. "I'm very sorry for this, but it is against my dueling to hold back! I activate the Spell Card, Super Come On Come On!"
"This is..." Yaiba started.
"It's Tokumatsu's sure-kill strategy!" Dennis exclaimed.
"I draw 3 cards and if any of them are Cardian monsters, I can special summon them! But if any of them aren't, I must send them to the graveyard and I take 1000 points of damage!" Tokumatsu explained.
"Oh! It seems Tokumatsu is gambling his life points! Will he be able to get what he needs?!" Melissa shouted causing the crowd to roar in excitement.
"First Draw! Come On Come On!" Tokumatsu shouted as he drew. "Cardian - Susuki ni Tsuki!"
"There's one!" A top in the crowd shouted.
"Second Draw! Come On Come On!" Tokumatsu shouted as he drew once more. "Cardian - Kiri ni Houou!"
"Another one!" A common in the crowd shouted.
"Third Draw! Come On Come On!" Tokumatsu shouted as he drew for the final time. "...the tuner monster, Cardian - Yanagi ni Ono no Michikaze!"
"WOOHHOO!"

"With this, all monster summoned by this effect have their ATKs changed to 0 and their levels changed to 2!" Tokumatsu shouted as his four monsters appeared.

Synchro Summon! Come forth, Level 8, Cardian - Ameshikou!" Tokumatsu shouted as a warrior with an umbrella and in a blue kimono appeared.

"That monster..." Yuya uttered, remembering it from before.
"Woah! Using his strategy, Chojiro Tokumatsu managed to bring out a 3000 ATK Synchro monster!" Melissa shouted.
"This is my Enjoy Dueling! ENJOY!" Tokumatsu shouted causing the crowd to cheer.
"Go, Tokumatsu! Beat her!" Shinji cheered.
"Battle! Amenshikou, attack Splendid Rose!" Tokumatsu shouted. The warrior pulled out a katana from the blade and jumped forward at the Synchro monster.
The Black Rose Witch drove to the side of the road and grabbed an Action Card. She looked at the card and held it in her hand, seemingly not being able to use it.
The blade slashed through the hunter, causing a minor shockwave to hit the Witch.
BLACK ROSE WITCH: 2300-2100 LP
"Action Spell, Destruction Draw! I draw 2 cards since my special summoned monster was destroyed." The masked women explained as she drew.
"At this moment, Cardian - Amenshikou's effect activates! When my opponent draws a card, they take 1500 points of damage!" Tokumatsu shouted. His monster reattached the top of his umbrella and began to spin it, causing little yellow cards to fly outwards at the masked women.
"Rose Guardna's effect activates! I can special summon this card when I would take effect damage and the effect damage is reduced to 0!" The masked women shouted as a warrior clad in red appeared with a large shield that had a red rose emblem on it. The monster appeared behind the Witch and blocked the attack.

"Turn End!" Tokumatsu concluded.
"My turn." The women shouted as Tokumatsu smirked.
"At this moment, Cardian - Amenshikou's effect activates! Now take 1500 points of damage!" Tokumatsu shouted as this time, the effect couldn't be stopped. The yellow cards hit the masked women and her D-Wheel, causing it to shake.
BLACK ROSE WITCH: 2100-600 LP
"While I control a Rose monster, I can summon the Tuner monster, Rose Supporter!" The Witch shouted as a girl in a red and white dress appeared.

"I tune my level 3 Rose Supporter to my level 4 Rose Guardna!" The masked woman shouted as her smaller monster turned into 3 green rings that flew around her other monster.
"It's coming...!" Yuzu uttered with a nervous tone.
"Red petals darkened by hatred! Bloom into an unstoppable force and envelop the world with your chilling flames! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 7! Black Rose Blooming Dragon!" The Witch exclaimed. Suddenly, a powerful wind went through the stadium as the dragon appeared. A red and black dragon that looked like it's body was covered in dark red rose petals appeared. The dragon also had a long black tail that had red thorns sticking out of it.

"That...thing...!"Serena grunted with a fearful tone, which was surprising for Yuya. He had never seen herlook afraid before.
"The Black Rose Witch managed to summon her terrifying ace monster!" Melissa shouted causing the crowd to cheer in excitement.
"When Rose Supporter is used for a Synchro Summon of a Rose Synchro monster, I draw a card! Black Rose Blooming Dragon's effect activates! When Synchro Summoned, I can target a monster on your field and it is destroyed! Then, you take 300 points of damage times it's level! Go, Blooming Darkness Gale!" The dragon roared ferociously, causing a wing of sharp red petals to shred through the warrior. The barrage of petals hit Tokumatsu, causing him to shout in pain.
"GAAAAHHHH!"

As the winds died down, is what clear that Tokumatsu's outfit was clearly ripped up and his body was covered in red scratch marks.
"Damn her!" Shinji shouted in anger.
"She's using her powers..." Yuzu uttered. Yugo looked at her and saw her fearful expression. He was angered at the fact that he was unable to protect her and Serena.
"This duel is over. Battle! Black Rose Blooming Dragon, Direct Attack! Dark Petal Flare!" The masked women commanded as her dragon shot a powerful dark red blast from it's mouth at the defenseless Cardian user.
"I...activate the effect of my Trap Card in the graveyard...Card Protection! During the turn a Cardian monster is destroyed by battle or card effects, I can banish this card to reduce any damage from direct attacks to 0!" Tokumatsu shouted as a wall of yellow cards protected him.
"That's the card he sent to the graveyard earlier...!" Sawatari realized.
"You are just preventing the inevitable. I set 3 cards facedown, turn end." The Witch concluded.
"My Enjoy Dueling will triumph! My turn, draw!" Tokumatsu shouted as he drew. "I'm sorry miss...but I will end this duel with this amazing final turn! I activate the Spell Card, Monster Reborn! Revive, Cardian - Amenshikou!"

"Alright now he can attack and destroy that dragon!" Yugo shouted.
"I activate the Spell Card, Super Face Off! With this card's effect, I return Amenshikou to my Extra Deck! Then, all of it's Synchro Materials are Special Summoned from my graveyard as level 2 monsters! Come back my monsters!" Tokumatsu shouted with a smirk as his monsters returned.

"Now, I can draw acard! And if that card I draw isn't a Cardian monster, all my monsters will be destroyed and my life points will halved!" Tokumatsu explained as he placed his hand on the top card of his deck.
"If he doesn't draw the right card, Tokumatsu will surely not make it through the next turn! Will his final gamble pay off?" Melissa shouted.
"Go, Tokumatsu!" Shinji shouted out to his teammate.
"ENJOY! DRAW!" Tokumatsu shouted as he dramatically drew and held his card out. "The card was...Cardian - Sakuri ni Maki! Now, I can special summon it as a level 2 monster!"

"This is the ultimate power of my Enjoy Dueling! I tune my level 2 Cardian Sakuri ni Maki, Cardian - Matsu ni Tsuru, Susuki ni Tsuki, Kiri ni Houou with my Level 2 Tuner Monster Yanagi ni Ono no Michikaze!" Tokumatsu shouted.
"He's going to summon a level 10 Synchro monster?!" Yugo shouted in amazement.
"Your godliness brings forth holy light! Shine alone with the light of Heaven, Earth, Water, Land, and Metal! SYNCHRO SUMMON! Come forth! Level 10! Cardian - Gokou!" Tokumatsu roared as a large warrior appeared in a flash of bright light. The warrior had purple and orange armor and carried a katana.

"Amazing..." Yaiba uttered.
"Yeah...that sure is a magnificent monster..." Dennis said in awe.
"ENJOY! BATTLE! Gokou, attack Black Rose Blooming Dragon!" Tokumatsu shouted as he pointed at the dark red dragon.
"If this attack hits, The Black Rose Witch will be defeated!
The Black Rose Witch spotted an Action Card high in the air. She looked at her dragon, practically commanding it with her mind. A vine shot out of the dragon's body and shot through the bubble that held the Action Card, causing the card to fall into the masked woman's hand.
"Wow!"
"Amazing!"
"Action Spell, Zero Penalty! Gokou's ATK becomes 0!" The Witch shouted.
"My Enjoy Dueling won't be stopped! At this moment, Gokou's effect activates! When my opponent activates the effect of a Spell Card, that card's negated and it is destroyed!" Tokumatsu explained with a smirk as his monster used it's katana to slice through the Action Spell.
"Tokumatsu won!" Shinji exclaimed.
"Go, Holy Light Impact!" The warrior shot a cyan colored blast from his armor at the dark red dragon.
"...Trap Activate! Synchro Barrier! By releasing my dragon, I don't take any damage this turn." The Witch shouted as the dragon dissolved into particles and a barrier formed around the woman. The blast collided with the barrier, causing a powerful explosion that made the crowd roar in excitement.
"She survived..." Yuya uttered.
"Though the battle is over, I'm not done yet! I activate the Equip Spell, Card Spirit and I equip it to Gokou! Now, if Gokou leaves the field, this card also leaves the field and monsters on your field can't declare an attack during that turn! And then by banishing this spell in the graveyard during my next Standby phase, Gokou will be revived!" Tokumatsu explained.
"With this strategy, she can't attack if she uses Black Rose's effect to return Gokou to the Extra Deck after reviving it...and if she does use that effect, Gokou will be revived and Tokumatsu will win during the next turn!" Serena realized.
"That's great!" Yuya said.
"Clever." The Witch spoke.
"Turn end! Along with being able to negate and destroy your Spells, Cardian - Gokou can negate the effects of monsters that battle it! You won't be able to break through my Enjoy Dueling, no matter what!" Tokumatsu shouted.
"Despite surviving the turn, it seems that her luck has run out! Will she be able to pull this off?!" Melissa questioned.
"This duel has been better than the last. But it will end the same way. My turn!" The masked woman shouted as he drew.
"She missed the timing for her dragon's revival effect!" Yuzu pointed out.
"Trap Activate! Synchro Spirits! By banishing Black Rose Blooming Dragon, I can special summon it's Synchro Materials. Come back, Rose Guardna! Rose Supporter!"

"Getting rid of your dragon...why would you-" Tokumastu began to ask before being cut off.
"Trap Activate! Dimension Reversion! All cards that are banished are returned to the decks!" The Witch shouted as her banished dragon returned to the Extra Deck and Tokumatsu's banished trap returned to the deck.
"So that was her plan!" Crow shouted.
"I tune my level 3 Rose Supporter to my level 4 Rose Guardna! Red petals darkened by hatred! Bloom into an unstoppable force and envelop the world with your chilling flames! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 7! Black Rose Blooming Dragon!" The Witch exclaimed as her dragon returned to the field with a furious roar.

"N-No way..." Tokumatsu uttered.
"It's over..." Serena said, realizing what was about to happen.
"When Rose Supporter is used for a Synchro Summon of a Rose Synchro monster, I draw a card! Black Rose Blooming Dragon's effect activates! When Synchro Summoned, I can target a monster on your field and it is destroyed! Then, you take 300 points of damage times it's level! I target the level 10 Cardian - Gokou!"
"That means...he'll take 3000 points of damage..." Yugo realized.
"Oh no..." Yuya said as his eyes widened.
"TOKUMATSU!" Shinji yelled.
"Do it, Black Rose! BLOOMING DARKNESS GALE!" The masked woman shouted. The dragon roared as a storm of roses ripped through the warrior, causing an explosion that hit the front of Tokumatsu, causing his to scream in pain.
"GRAAAAAAAAHH!"

"And it's over! With an amazing combo, The Black Rose Witch used her ace monster to defeat Chojiro Tokumatsu!" Melissa shouted as the crowd roared in excitement.
"She knew the only way to win was by Synchro Summoning her dragon back instead of reviving it..." Serena said in awe.
"Tokumatsu..." Yuya uttered in sadness.
Tokumatsu's D-Wheel automatically drove into the pit and stopped. Shinji ran over to Tokumatsu and checked his burning body. The entire center of his outfit was incinerated from the explosion and he had burn marks all over the front of his body.
Shinji took off his teammate's cracked helmet and helped him off his D-wheel. The medic team arrived once more and put the man on a stretcher just like Damon.
"...Go...Shinji..." Tokumatsu uttered before being carried off.
"Don't worry. I'll carry your feelings!" Shinji shouted as his fist tightened. He put his helmet on, got on his D-Wheel and activated the duel disk before driving off.
"For the last member of Team Revolution, we have Shinji Weber stepping up to continue the duel! Will he be able to defeat his opponent who has only 600 life points but has a 2400 ATK Synchro monster on her field?! Let's find out!" Melissa shouted.
"She only has 600 life points left...Shinji can do this...!" Yugo said.
"C'mon Shinji..." Crow muttered.
"You! How dare you hurt my teammates! All you are is a pawn used to hurt others! I'll definitely defeat you for all of the Commons that you have attacked! My dueling will unite the Commons!" Shinji declared as he pointed at the Black Rose Witch.
"We'll see." The woman said, disregarding Shinji's words.

"My turn! I set a monster facedown and I set a card, turn end!" Shinji concluded.
"All that talk and that's what you do? My turn. Battle! Black Rose Blooming Dragon, attack that facedown! Black Petal Flare!" The woman commanded as her dragon shot a fiery dark red blast from it's mouth.
The monster flipped face up revealing to be a large wasp monster.

The monster was incinerated by the flames which made Shinji flinch.
"Just like when us Commons are knocked down by the Tops, we get back up and keep fighting! Bee Force - Arblast the Rapidfire's effect activates! When destroyed, I can special summon another copy from my hand!"

I banish Splendid Rose to return Arblast the Rapidfire! Rose Degrading!" The Witch shouted as vines shot out of the dragon and squeezed the wasp, causing it to disperse.
"She saw through Shinji's move..." Yugo said in a surprised tone.
"Turn End." The Witch concluded.
"My turn!" Shinji shouted as he eyed the Spell Card he drew. "Just what I needed. I activate the Spell Card, Double Summon! Now I gain an additional normal summon! I summon Bee Force - Arblast the Rapidfire and Bee Force - Needle the Stinger!" Shinji yelled as the large wasp and orange mechanical bee appeared.

Shinji shouted as a bee warrior appeared that had blue and yellow armor, red wings, and carried a halberd.

"Battle! Vogue the Attack, attack Black Rose Blooming Dragon!" Shinji shouted as his bee warrior flew forward and slashed down the middle of the dragon, destroying itwhich made the woman flinchfrom the minor damage.

"Continuous Trap, Counter Swarm! Now once per turn, an effect that would cause Bee Force monsters to leave the field is negated!" Shinji countered with a smirk as a storm of small bees blocked the thorny vine.
"I activate the Equip Spell, Thorn of Punishment! Black Rose gains 600 ATK!" The Witch shouted as her dragon extended black and red thorny vines out from it's body.

"The dragon is stronger than our monsters!" Yuzu yelled.
"Battle! Black Rose Blooming Dragon, attack Vogue the Attack! Demolition Rose Whip!" The Witch cried as the dragon unleashed it's new attack which was raising it's vines up in the air before slamming them down on the Bee Warrior, demolishing it.

"Thorn of Punishment's effect activates! Your monster is automatically banished and you take 200 damage times it's level!" The woman shouted.
"What?!" Shinji shouted. A vine shot out of the dragon's body towards Shinji. He swerved to the right, causing the vine to scrape the side of his arm which made him bleed.

"I'll stand proud and pierce through your tricks! My turn! I summon Bee Force - Pin the Bullseye!" Shinji shouted as a small bee appeared.

"Now she needs to defend against both of Shinji's Pin the Bullseye's effects or she will lose!" Melissa shouted.
"Let's go! The first Pin the Bullseye's effect! You take 200 points of damage! And due to Azusa's effect, that damage is doubled to 400! This is the end!"
"Trap Activate! Reflect Nature! When I would take effect damage, the damage is reflected back at my opponent!" The Witch shouted as the trap blocked the yellow blast, before another blast shot out of the card and hit Shinji.

"But this will finish it! The second Pin the Bullseye's effect activates! You take 200 damage which is doubled to 400 damage due to Azusa's effect! It's over!" Shinji shouted as the second Pin shot a yellow blast at the woman.
"Rose Spirit's effect in my hand activates! By discarding this card when I would take effect damage, the damage is transferred to my opponent instead!" The masked woman countered once more. A small spirit appeared and blocked the blast before shooting a small green blast that hit Shinji.

"She bounced the damage back at him twice..." Serena said in awe.
"Damn..." Crow grunted.

"Now that the battle is over, I activate the Equip Spell, Absorbing Rose and I equip it to Black Rose! I set a card facedown, turn end!" The masked woman concluded.
"You may be strong, but our determination won't be beaten!" Shinji shouted as the Commons in the crowd cheered for him.
"Our? Is he talking about all of the Commons?" Serena turned to Crow and asked.
"Yeah...Shinji's goal has always been to rally the Commons against the Tops." Crow explained.
"My turn! Let's go! Pin the Bullseye's effect activates! You take 200 damage! Then, that damage is doubled to 400 thanks to the effect of Azusa the Spirit Bow! Your life points are finished!" Shinji shouted with a smirk.
"Absorbing Rose's effect activates! The damage is reduced to 0! Then, Black Rose gains ATK equal to the amount of damage I would have taken!" The Witch countered as the blast was absorbed into the dragon.

Level 8! Bee Force - Hama the Evil-Crushing Bow!" Shinji shouted as he pumped his fist in the air. A warrior with green and orange armor with 4 wasp wings and carried a yellow bow.

A yellow arrow shot of the monster's arm which and it aimed the arrow at the dragon with it's bow. The monster fired the glowing arrow that pierced through the dragon, causing a shockwave that hit the Witch.

"Tch...by sending Absorbing Rose to the graveyard, Black Rose isn't destroyed!" The Witch shouted as her monster weakened.

"At this moment, Hama the Evil-Crushing Bow's effect activates! When this card inflicts battle damage, a monster on your field loses ATK equal to the damage!" Shinji yelled as the dragon was weakened once more.

"Also, Hama the Evil-Crushing Bow can attack twice per turn! This is the end! Hama the Evil-Crushing Bow, attack Black Rose once more!" Shinji commanded as his monster aimed it's arrow at the dragon.
The Witch grabbed an Action Card off the ground and looked at it for a moment before putting it in her hand.
"Bad luck again?" Shinji asked with a smirk.
"...Rose Guardna's effect in the graveyard activates! While I control a Rose monster in my field, I can banish this card to reduce an instance of battle or effect damage to 0!" The masked woman shouted as a red barrier protected her. "Also...by sending Thorns of Punishment to the graveyard, Black Rose isn't destroyed!"

Revolution Arrow!" Shinji yelled as his monster shot a shinning arrow at the dark red dragon, piercing through the center and destroying it.
"Trap Activate! Rose Reincarnation! When a Rose Synchro monster is destroyed, I can special summon a Rose Synchro monster from my graveyard but with a lower level! Come back, Splendid Rose!" The Witch shouted as the green and black colored hunter returned.

"My monster can still attack again! Go, Revolution Arrow!" Shinji shouted as his monster shot a yellow arrow through the opposing Synchro monster.
"She survived again..." Dennis uttered.
"I swore I would defeat you for Damon and Tokumatsu...that's why...I'll end this right now! Hama the Evil-Crushing Bow's effect activates! At the end of the Battle Phase, if this card failed to inflict battle damage, this card deals 300 damage for every Bee Force monster in my graveyard!" Shinji shouted with a smirk.
"What?" The Witch uttered.
The spirits of the all of Shinji's Bee Force monsters appeared as spirits that surrounded Hama. They turned into yellow energy that flew into the monster's arrow.
"There are currently 9 Bee Force monsters in my graveyard, so you take 2700 points of damage! Right now, our hearts are beating as one! We raise our fists up together as one! Us Commons are one!" Shinji shouted as he raised his fist up towards the sky, causing all the Commons to cheer and do the same.
"WE ARE ONE! WE ARE ONE!" They chanted.
"Let's go! UNITED ARROW!" Shinji commanded as his monster shot the large energy arrow at the Witch.
The energy arrow seemingly collided with the Black Rose Witch, causing a big explosion.
The first to race out of the smoke was Shinji, who was now racing head unlike before. The masked woman was still hidden in the smoke.
"...Is it over...?!" Melissa's voice echoed throughout the entire stadium as everyone watching looked at the dissipating smoke.
BLACK ROSE WITCH: 100-50 LP
"What the hell?!" Shinji shouted in disbelief.
"...I banished Absorbing Rose to use it's effect. I payed half of my life points to reduce any effect damage I would take this turn to 0!" The Witch spoke as she raced out of the smoke.
"I set a card facedown and end my turn!" Shinji shouted.
"At this moment, by banishing Ivy Wall, Black Rose revives!" The masked woman shouted as her ace returned.
Black Rose Blooming Dragon (2400/1800) LVL: 7
"My turn! Battle! Black Rose Blooming Dragon, attack Hama the Evil-Crushing Bow!"
"But she will lose?!" Masumi questioned.
"Action Spell, Attack Force! When my monster attacks, it gains 600 ATK!" The Black Rose Witch yelled as her monster powered up.
Black Rose (2400/1800)-(3000/1800)
"That card from earlier...!" Shinji grunted.
"Go, Dark Petal Flare!" The Witch shouted as the dragon blasts a dark red attack at the Bee warrior, destroying it.
SHINJI: 1500-1300 LP
"I set a card facedown, turn end." The woman concluded.
Black Rose (3000/1800)-(2400/1800)
"...You think you can crush our hopes and dreams?! Well if that's the case...you're dead wrong! No matter how many times we are knocked down, we'll always get up and persevere! That's why...that's why...I won't get up! This is our final hope! This is our city! We are one!" Shinji shouted as he raised his fists causing all of the Commons to do the same.
"WE ARE ONE!"
"THIS IS OUR CITY!"
"GO SHINJI!"
"Hey! Stop getting the crowd crazy! We are all suppose to be friends! That's the whole of this tournament!" Melissa shouted.
"You're wrong! This tournament is only for the entertainment of you Tops! You are all so god damn ignorant and selfish! You think being born with riches makes you better than us, but it doesn't! We have to fight for everything we have while you get everything handed to you! I won't lose to someone like that! I'll win this duel for all of the Commons! This is our city! This is our revolution! My turn!" Shinji roared as he drew.
"Shinji..." Crow muttered.
"This is the card the represents everyone's feelings! I activate the Spell Card, All-Out Revolution!" Shinji shouted as he slammed the card onto his duel disk.
"All-Out Revolution? Not All-Out Rebellion?" Yugo said with a confused tone.
"While I control no monsters and my opponent controls a monster, I can pay halve of my life points..."

"...to revive as many Bee Force monsters from my graveyard in Attack position but with their effects negated and their ATKs reduced to 0! Also, they are destroyed during the end of the turn! Revive, Bee Force - Vogue the Attack! Bee Force - Arblast the Rapidfire! Bee Force - Needle the Stinger!"

SYNCHRO SUMMON! Come forth! Level 12! Bee Force - Big Ballista the Final Battle!" Shinji roared as a large Synchro monster appeared. The monster was a gigantic bee that had red and purple armor and three yellow arrows. It had emerald colored eyes and two armored cannons on it's wings.

"A Level 12 Synchro monster...!" Yaiba uttered in amazement.
"This is our full power! BATTLE! Big Ballista the Final Battle, attack Black Rose Blooming Dragon and end this duel!" Shinji commanded.
"Trap Activate! Rose Soul! When my opponent declares an attack against a Rose Synchro monster, I can equip a Rose Synchro monster with lower ATK then the attacking monster to a Rose Synchro monster on my field! Also, it gains ATK equal to half of the monster equipped to it! I equip Splendid Rose to Black Rose Blooming Dragon so it gains 1100 ATK!" The Witch shouted as the spirit of Splendid Rose was absorbed into her ace.
Black Rose (2400/1800)-(3500/1800)
"That won't stop us! Big Ballista the Final Battles's effect activates! During either player's turn, by banishing all of the Bee Force monsters in my graveyard, your monster loses 500 ATK for each one! Your dragon loses 5000 ATK and DEF!" Shinji yelled. The spirits of all of his Bee Force monsters turned into yellow energy that flew into the dragon.
Black Rose (3500/1800)-(0/0)
"You're finished! This is for Damon, Tokumatsu, and all of the Commons whose lives have been made a living hell by the Tops! ARROW OF ARMAGEDDON!" Shinji roared as his monster shot it's large top arrow at the dragon, causing a huge explosion.
"Grr...Rose Soul's effect activates! By sending Splendid Rose to the graveyard, the damage is reduced to 0 and Black Rose isn't destroyed!" The Witch countered.
"Damn it...! On my next turn, you will lose! Turn end!" Shinji concluded.
With Roget
"This guy is starting to cause some real trouble." Kiryu said as he looked at one of the screens that showed many Commons shouting in the audience.
"Indeed he is. It's time to make an...example...of him..." Roget said with a smile, signaling something to his scientists who nodded back.
Back to the duel
An electrical spark flew threw the woman's mask, causing her to look down in pain. Some of her hair began to fall down over her face. Suddenly, she gained a dark aura.
"What is this pressure...?!" Shinji asked with a worried tone.
"My turn...DRAW!" The Black Rose Witch shouted as she drew. She looked at her card and glared at her opponent. "I switch Black Rose to Defense mode and I set a card facedown! Turn End!"
Black Rose (0/0)-(0/0)
"I was expecting more..." Sawatari admitted.
"My turn! This duel is over! Big Ballista the Final Battle can inflict piercing damage!" Shinji shouted with a smirk.
"That means Shinji can win..." Serena realized.
"This is the end! This is the power of our pride! BATTLE! Big Ballista the Final Battle, attack Black Rose Blooming Dragon and end this duel! ARROW OF ARMAGEDDON!" Shinji shouted as his monsters shot one of it's arrows at the dragon once more.
"Your pride is nothing! Trap Activate! Assault Armor Activate!" The Witch shouted causing a gasp within the crowd.
"Assault Mode?!" Yugo shouted.
"I release Black Rose Blooming Dragon to summon it's Assault Mode form from my deck! Dark petals empowered by rage! Evolve through the eclipsing light and burn the world with your chilling flames! Come forth! Level 9! Black Rose Blooming Dragon/Assault Mode!" The Black Rose Witch shouted as a dark red light enveloped the field. A new version of her ace appeared that had black armor in front of it's dark red petals.
Black Rose Blooming Dragon/Assault Mode (2900/2300) LVL: 9
"So what? You'll still take 100 damage! And with only 50life points left, you will lose!" Shinji shouted.
"When Black Rose Blooming Dragon is summoned to the field...A MONSTER ON YOUR FIELD IS DESTROYED AND YOU TAKE DAMAGE EQUAL TO THE DESTROYED MONSTER'S ATTACK!" The masked woman shouted as her dark aura increased and her long hair moved in the wind.
"...No...way..." Shinji uttered in disbelief.
"Now sink into nothingness and be destroyed by the power of the Black Rose Witch! Do it, Black Rose! RAZOR DARKNESS GALE!" The Black Rose Witch shouted as the dragon roared loudly. The winds increased even more and sharp dark red petals flew through the air.
"...I failed..." Shinji said as he looked down in shame and closed his eyes.
The petals ripped through the large bee monster, causing a huge explosion that launched Shinji off of his D-Wheel.
"GAAAAAAAHH!"

WINNER: TEAM DEVASTATION
"I-It's over! With an impressive sweep, the Black Rose Witch has won the match for Team Devastation!" Melissa shouted causing the Tops to cheer and the Commons to look in sadness.
With Roget
"Looks like your problem with the Commons revolting has been solved." Kiryu said as he looked at the broken spirited Commons.
"The problem is temporarily solved." Roget
"Temporarily?" Kiryu questioned.
"Yes. Shinji Weber was a driving force for the Commons and his defeat will definitely delay their so-called "revolution". But as long as Crow Hogan is still in the tournament, the Commons won't be hopeless." Roget explained.
"I had a feeling you would say that." Kiryu sighed. It looked like he was going to have to deal with his former friend after all.
"But in the end, none of it matters. A conflict bigger than the Tops and Commons is coming and I am prepared to take full advantage of it." Roget smiled. Everything was falling into place perfectly so far.
With Team United Hope
"Shinji..." Crow uttered in sadness as he watched his friend's unconscious and bloody body get carried off the track.
"She beat all three of them..." Serena said in awe.
"Dueling in such a way...is unforgivable!" Yuya shouted as he clenched his fists and looked down.
Though Crow didn't sense it, for some reason, Serena could feel a dark energy emanating from Yuya. Serena instinctively walked over to the boy and put her hand on the his shoulder. Her bracelet's purple gem softly glowed, and for some reason, Yuya's anger faded.
"You ok, Yuya?" Serena asked the tomato haired teen.
"...Yeah...sorry about that. Just seeing Shinji like that made me angry..." Yuya said.
"I know how you feel...Shinji was one of my good friends...and seeing them like that...hurts..." Crow's hand curled into a fist. "...Damon...Tokumatsu...and Shinji...would want us to continue fighting..."
"Guys...don't worry...we will avenge them!" Serena said with a determined look.
With Team Wings of Victory
"...Shinji was a good guy...he didn't deserve that..." Yugosaid with a sad tone.
"I'm afraid that she wasn't even showing her true power..." Yuzu said with a worried tone.
"The Black Rose Witch...The Death God...and The Duelist Crusher...that team will be tough to beat." Yugo said.
"It doesn't matter. I'll crush anyone who gets in my way. That includes you two." Shun said with his eyes closed and his arms crossed.
"Hey! We're a team! Stop thinking we are the enemies! You can trust us!" Yugo angrily shouted.
"Don't you get it? I can't trust anyone!" Shun opened his eyes and yelled.
"What do you mean?" Yuzu asked.
"Think about it. It is pretty obvious Academia is already here by now. If Academia planted people in Synchro before their initial invasion, don't you think they did the same in Standard and Xyz?!" Shun shouted at the two.
Yuzu and Yugo paused for a moment while thinking about what Shun said. It did make a lot of sense after all.
"That's what I thought." Shun said before closing his eyes once more, being done with the conversation.
With Team Blades of Bravery
"She managed to beat all of them...and her powers were able to put all of them in critical condition...calling her dangerous is an understatement." Masumi sighed.
"They were our allies. We will continue to fight in their honor." Gongenzaka said with a determined look. He then turned to Yuto who was staring at the screen blankly. "Yuto? Are you ok?"
"...we should be getting ready...we are next after all." Yuto told the two before getting up.
Gongenzaka's eyes narrowed at Yuto's hand that had a card in it. He realized the card was none other than Yuto's Ritual monster, Dark Rebellion Apocalypse Dragon.
"Yuto...be careful with that card. I've seen you use that card before against the Obelisk Force. I saw what destruction that card caused." Gongenzaka told the Phantom duelist.
"The card didn't cause destruction...I did." Yuto said as darkness fell over the top of his face.
"Yuto..." Gongenzaka uttered. "Just...be careful..."
"That's the problem. We can't afford to be careful anymore. Or else we'll end up like Shinji." Yuto said as he walked towards the door. He looked back at his teammates with a glare. "I need to get through this tournament so I can save Ruri. I'll win, no matter. Even if I have to use this."
Yuto looked at the Ritual monster before placing it back into his deck.
"Yuto-!" Masumi was cut off by the door swinging open.
"It's time. Let's go." Yuto said as he walked through the door.
Masumi and Gongenzaka looked at each other with a nervous feeling about their teammate before walking out of the door.
'Hold on Ruri...once this tournament is over...I'll save you!' Yuto thought to himself. He was determined to do what needed to be done
In Academia
Sora Shiun'in was sitting on a bench in the outside area of Academia. He was licking a lollipop while staring into space, thinking about the events that might happen next.
Though he didn't want to admit it, Sora really did think of Yuya and Yuzu as his friends. He honestly had a lot of fun in Standard with them. Despite trying to resist the feeling, he missed them and wished they weren't on opposite sides.
None of this was fair. Yuya and Yuzu were suppose to stay in Standard. They weren't suppose to oppose him and Academia. Why can't they understand what Academia is trying to create a utopia? Why does he have to fight his best friends?
As Sora thought to himself about these hard questions, he bit down on the lollipop, shattering it in his mouth.
"Damn..." Sora said as he swallowed the pieces of the candy. He then felt a shadow creeping over him, causing a shiver to go through his body. He looked up and saw the boy's face causing his eyes to widen.
"Y-Yuya..." Sora stuttered.
"Geez...ever since I went to Standard I've been getting called that name..." The boy muttered.
Sora shook his head which caused the image of Yuya to fade. The boy in front of him had purple and pink haired with pink eyes and a purple outfit.
"Sorry...you're Yuri..." Sora said with a nervous tone. He remembered watching Yuri brutally defeat those two girls that looked like Yuzu and Serena. He had also heard many rumors about how this boy was trained by the Professor himself and his strength even rivaled Hell Kaiser.
"Correct~! I don't believe we have met formally, Sora Shuin'in." Yuri said with a devilish smile as he extended his hand out to the blue haired boy.
"It's nice to meet you..." Sora said as he shook the teen's hand.
"So I've heard that you are the person that was assigned to capture Serena, right?" Yuri asked as he sat down on the bench next to Sora.
"Y-Yeah." Sora nodded.
"Well I was assigned to capture Yuzu Hiragi." Yuri told the boy which made him flinch.
'Why did Academia need Yuzu? And if this guy is being sent to capture her, Yuzu's chances of winning wouldn't be that high.' Sora thought to himself.
Yuri's expression then turned to a serious one. "I wanted to tell you...that if you don't bring Serena back...I'll personally card you myself."
"O-Ok." Sora nodded. 'I don't think the Professor would send Yuri to threaten him into capturing Serena. So why would he be threatening me...? Maybe he knows Serena or something...?'
"I'm glad we reached an understanding. After all, we wouldn't want anything...bad...to happen to your friend Yuzu...would we?" Yuri's serious expression turned into a sinister smirk causing Sora to grunt.
"Don't worry, I'll capture Serena. For Academia." Sora said with a serious look. He didn't want anything bad to happen to Yuzu.
"Good. I'm glad we reached an understanding." Yuri said with an evil smile before getting up.
"Wait!" Sora shouted causing the teen to turn around.
"What is it?" Yuri asked.
"Both of us are heading to Synchro, right? Why don't we go together so we can help each other?" Sora asked causing Yuri to gain an intrigued expression.
"Interesting...but usually I work alone..." Yuri said.
"You have already failed to capture Yuzu Hiragi once, right? Do you think the Professor will tolerate failure again?" Sora asked causing Yuri's eyes to narrow.
"...I like you. But for the record, I beat Yuzu Hiragi and was on my way to beating that Yuto guy until I got magically teleported back to Academia. I'll work with you, but I'll still card you if you don't accomplish capturing Serena." Yuri said to his new "partner".
"Got it." Sora nodded.
"I'll let you know when we leave for Synchro. Seeya partner~." Yuri waved with a sinister smile before walking off.
Sora let out a sign of relief. He was scared Yuri was going to card him on the spot for talking to him like that.
'I guess I made the best out of this situation. Now I can make sure that psychopath won't lay his hands on Yuzu.' Sora said, revealing his true motives. It's like the old saying, keep your friends close but your enemies closer. But the question Sora had to figure out was...
...Who was his enemy?
Woohoo! This chapter is finally finished!2 chapters in the first month of the year! That'sa good start, I think. I'm feeling really motivated and I really want to work my ass off to make more chapters. And we are about 2 months away from the 1 year anniversaryfor this story! I can't believe that it's been that long! I'm not 100 percent sure if there's something special I would do, but I might make some sort of trailer for the future of this arc. By then, I'll probably be done with the first round by then.
About the duel, I'll be honest with you. I was actually planning on Aki OTKing all of them, but I didn't think that would be a whole lot of fun so I decided to do this instead. I hope you guys liked the duel! And also, regarding Black Rose's Assault Mode form, it has an additional effect that Aki will use later on when she uses the card again. I hope you liked that I used a lot of her 5Ds cards. It was a fun a chapter to write and I hope you all enjoyed it!
During Team United Hopes interaction after the duel, I showed off Serena's bracelet's ability. Like other fics, I'm going to give each bracelet a different ability. Yuzu's is teleporting away the boy's away when they are in a certain proximity. Serena's is suppressing Zarc's influence or something like that. Rin's is negating the external effects of the dragon's effects(Rin's Bracelet is why Clear Wing couldn't use it's ability to teleport before Rin was kidnapped).
And I'm not sure about Ruri's yet but I'm thinking about it. You guys can also PM me if you got any ideas. Also, I'm trying to show Sora's character development on screen, unlike the anime. I've said this before, but I feel like Arc V kinda didn't do Sora's development enough justice. It was good, but it kinda just happened. There wasn't any build up to it. He kinda just decided to stop aligning with Academia. Also, there will be some more Sora and Yuri interactions which should be interesting. And I'm building up Yuri and Serena's relationship and past, which will be revealed in time.
About Yuto, his mentality is starting to decline. He's done with these tournaments and these distractions from Academia and Ruri. I've had this arc planned out for him already. I'm trying to give Yuto an arc instead of just Yugo and Yuya.
The last thing I want to talk about is Shun not telling Yuzu and Yugo about Dennis. He is keeping that part to himself because he wants to be the one to expose and defeat Dennis.

And I did see Blood Rose which is awesome. Though, I don't think I will use it in this arc because it's an evolution of Black Rose not Black Rose Blooming. Just like how Scar-red was Red Daemon's evolution and Tyrant was Scarlight's evolution. But, the card might show up in future arcs. I plan on giving Blooming Dragon a Synchro and Fusion form.
