30. Scale-30

Hey everyone! I can't believe we are on Scale-30! That's crazy! I'm definitely going to get 1 or maybe 2 more chapters in by the 1 year anniversary! And as a treat, I might do a preview of sorts for the rest of this arc on the year anniversary which is a month in a half away. Without anything further, Enjoy!

"Alright! Let's here it for Team Blades of Bravery and Team Lotten!" Melissa shouted as the crowd roared in excitement.

Masumi, Gongenzaka, and Yuto walked out of the tunnel with their D-Wheel outfits.

Gongenzaka had a green and yellow D-Wheel suit with his white sash wrapped around him. He had a orange helmet and had his red bandana on hanging from the back of his outfit. The helmet alsohad a green visor.

Masumi had a D-Wheel that was mainly purple but had white and blue parts towards the middle. She wore a white helmet with a purple visor.

Yuto's D-Wheel outfit consisted of a black jacket (like Yuya and Yugo's jackets) over a black and purple suit. It had blue and gold lining through out the suit. Yuto's helmet was black with a purple stripe on the top. It also had a dark blue visor. He also had his red resistance scarf tightly tied under his right shoulder.

"Masumi...we can't let Yuto duel with the way he is right now." Gongenzaka whispered to the girl as they looked at Yuto who walked ahead.

"Right." Masumi nodded as they approached the pit and their D-Wheels.

Gongenzaka had an orange D-Wheel that had a orange duel disk blade when activated.

Masumi had a purple and blue D-Wheel that had an orange duel disk blade when activated.

Yuto had a black and dark blue D-Wheel that had a purple duel disk blade when activated.

"Yuto, I'm going first. I'm going to defeat them with my Steadfast Dueling!" Gongenzaka shouted.

"Good luck." Yuto nodded at his teammate who got on his D-Wheel and drove off.

"It appears that the first match will be Gongenzaka Noboru vs Lotten's brother, Malcolm!" Melissa shouted.

"I'll beat you for the freedom of my family!" Malcolm shouted.

"That's what you think! My steadfast dueling will win!" Gongenzaka shouted.

"Let's get this duel started! Action Field On! Field Spell, Crossover Accel activate!" Melissa shouted as a sphere of cards bursted, causing them to spread all through out the track.

DUEL MODE: ON! AUTOPILOT, STAND BY!

At the same time, both duelist's duel disk blades activated and a holographic screen with a countdown starting at 3 appeared in front of the two riders.

The two raced off for the first corner. Though Gongenzaka's start was a bit rough, he managed maintain a steady lead and reached the first corner.

"It looks like Gogenzaka will be taking the first turn!" Melissa shouted.

"I, the man Gongenzaka, will stand strong with my Steadfast Dueling and I'll win! My turn!" Gongenzaka shouted.

"Bring it big guy!" Malcolm smirked.

"I summon Superheavy Samurai Jisha-Q!" Gongenzaka shouted as a magnet looking warrior appeared.

"When this card is normal summoned, I can special summon a level 4 or lower Superheavy Samurai from my hand! I special summon another copy of Superheavy Samurai Jisha-Q!"

"Jisha-Q's effect prevents your monsters from attacking any other monsters except this one. But since both copies prevent other monsters from being attacked, this creates an attack lock!" Gongenzaka explained with a smirk. The two monsters floated on opposite sides of Gongenzakaand created a magnetic barrier.

"That's a smart move!" Yaiba exclaimed.

"What a cheap play...!" Malcolm grunted.

"Turn End! Now, come!" Gongenzaka shouted.

"Its time to put you in your place! My turn!" Malcolm yelled as he drew. "I summon Iron Chain Repairman!"

A small muscular man with grey skin and green clothing appeared. The warrior carried a large hammer.

Iron Chain Repairman (1600/1200) LVL: 4

"Next, I activate the Spell Card, Binding Chain! Since I control an Iron Chain monster, a card on your field has it's effects negated! I choose one of your Jisha-Qs!" Malcolm shouted as a chain shot out of the card and wrapped around the Jisha-Q on the right, causing the magnetic barrier to disappear.

"Tch..." Gongenzaka clicked his tongue.

"Battle! Iron Chain Repairman, attack the Jisha-Q on the left!" Malcolm yelled as the warrior leaped forward and crushed the samurai with it's hammer.

GONGENZAKA: 4000-3300 LP

"At this moment, Iron Chain Repairman's effect activates! Since this card destroyed a monster by battle, it inflicts 300 points of damage to my opponent!" Malcolm shouted as Gongenzaka was enveloped in electricity.

GONGENZAKA: 3300-3000 LP

"I set two cards facedown, turn end!" Malcolm concluded.

"My turn! It's time for my counterattack! I summon Superheavy Samurai Kagebo-C!" Gongenzaka shouted as a machine warrior holding a flute appeared.

"Then, Kagebo-C's effect lets me release it to summon Superheavy Samurai Big Ben-K!" Gongenzaka shouted as the large machine samurai with black, orange, and white armor appeared.

"He brought out his original ace monster!" Yuya said.

"Strengthening your defense, eh? That won't protect you from me!" Malcolm shouted.

"This is the power of my Steadfast Dueling! Big Ben-K can attack while in Defense mode!" Gongenzaka shouted.

"What?!" Malcolm shouted.

"What a powerful effect! That means Malcolm will be taking massive damage!" Melissa exclaimedcausing the crowd to cheer.

"Battle! Big Ben-K, attack Iron Chain Repairman!" Gongenzaka commanded as his big samurai swung it's weapon at the Iron Chain monster.

"Hahaha! Continuous Trap, Demon's Chain activate! I target Big Ben-K and it cannot attack or use it's effects!" Malcolm countered as a dark chain shot out of the card and wrapped around the samurai.

"Damn...I switch Jisha-Q to Defense mode, turn end!" Gongenzaka concluded.

Jisha-Q (900/1900)-(900/1900)

As Gongenzaka concluded his turn, he realized and Action Card was in front of him. But, he didn't even pay any attention to it and drove by it, letting Malcolm get the card.

"What's this?! Gongenzaka refused to get an Action Card?!" Melissa shouted.

"My Steadfast dueling goes against using advantages such as Action Cards. I'll win with my dueling and my dueling alone!" Gongenzaka declared as he pointed back at Malcolm.

"Hahaha! What and idiot! My turn!" Malcolm shouted with a smirk. "Perfect! I summon Iron Chain Snake!"

A snake that had a chain for it's body appeared.

Iron Chain Snake (800/1200) LVL: 3

"Iron Chain Snake's effect! I can equip this card to your monster and it loses 800 ATK and DEF!" Malcolm shouted as the snake wrapped around Big Ben-K.

Big Ben-K (1000/3500)-(200/2700)

"But my monster still has more than enough DEF!" Gongenzaka shouted.

"Not for long! Battle! Iron Chain Repairman, attack Big Ben-K!" Malcolm shouted as his monster leaped forward. "Action Spell, Bi-Attack! Repairman's ATK is doubled until the end of the turn!"

Iron Chain Repairman (1600/1200)-(3200/1200)

The warrior smashed the samurai with it's hammer, causing a shockwave that made Gongenzaka grunt.

"And since Iron Chain Repairman destroyed a monster, you take 300 damage!" Malcolm exclaimed with a smirk as Gongenzaka was shocked once more.

GONGENZAKA: 3000-2700 LP

"Ghh..." Gongenzaka grunted.

"Iron Chain Snake's effect activates! When the equipped monster is destroyed, you must send the top cards of your deck to your graveyard equal to the level of the destroyed monster! Big Ben-K is level 8, so send the top 8 cards from your deck to the graveyard!" Malcolm shouted. Gongenzaka grunted as the top 8 cards at the top of his deck popped out and he was forced to discard them.

"Deck destruction..." Yuzu uttered with a worried tone.

"Turn End! Now, hurry up with your turn so I can end this duel!" Malcolm impatiently yelled.

"Tch...My turn! I summon the tuner monster, Superheavy Samurai Kobu-C!" Gongenzaka shouted as a yellow and orange machine samurai appeared.

"I tune Roar, god demon, Rise your war cry. Divine ogre! Show yourself. On this battlefield of raging ice and storm! Synchro Summon! Now depart for the front! Level 6! Superheavy God Oni Shutendoji-G!" Gogenzaka yelled as the red armored samurai appeared.

"Shutendoji-G's effect activates! When my monster is successfully Synchro summoned, while I have no spell or trap cards on my field, I can destroy all spell or trap cards on my opponent's field!" Gongenzaka yelled pointing at the set card as it bursted.

"Tch..." Malcolm clicked his tongue.

"Stutendoji-G can attack while in defense mode! Battle! Shutendoji-G, attack Iron Chain Repairman!" Gongenzaka shouted as his monster swung it's club at the opposing warrior.

"I activate the effect of the Trap Card, Iron Chain Defense in my graveyard that you just destroyed! By banishing it, my Iron Chain monster isn't destroyed!"

"But you still take the damage!"

MALCOLM: 4000-3100 LP

"Turn End!" Gongenzaka shouted.

"My turn! I switch Iron Chain Repairman to defense mode and I summon Iron Chain Archer!" Malcolm shouted as he summoned a silver armored archer.

"Next, Iron Chain Repairman's effect! In exchange for attacking this turn, I can special summon a level 4 or lower Iron Chain monster from the graveyard! Come back, Iron Chain Snake!" Malcolm shouted as his snake returned.

Iron Chain Snake (800/1200) LVL: 3

"Iron Chain Archer's effect activates! Once per turn, I can inflict 200 points of damage to you for every Iron Chain monster on my field!" Malcolm shouted as his archer shot an arrow that hit the back to Gongenzaka.

GONGENZAKA: 2700-2100 LP

"Next, I activate two Continuous Spells, Poison Chain and Paralyzing Chain!" Malcolm shouted as the two spells materialized on the field. "Now, during a turn I don't conduct my Battle Phase, this card forces you to send the top cards of your deck to the graveyard equal to the combined levels of my monsters!"

"What?!" Gongenzaka yelled.

"Turn end! Now, send 10 cards from the deck to the graveyard!"

"Not again..." Gongenzaka grunted as the 10 top cards popped out of his deck and he sent them to the graveyard.

"At this moment, Paralyzing Chain's effect! Whenever an effect that would send cards from the deck to the graveyard is activated, you receive 300 points of damage!" Malcolm shouted as Gongenzaka was enveloped with blue electricity once more.

"Ghh...!"

GONGENZAKA: 2100-1800 LP

"Damn...he's shaved half of Gongenzaka's life points away..." Yugo grunted.

"He's already sent 18 of my cards from the deck to the graveyard...but I'll defeat him before my deck depletes! My turn!" Gongenzaka shouted as he drew. 'With this, I have a chance.'

"Gongenzaka needs to turn this around soon or he'll lose his deck or his life points..." Masumi uttered.

"I activate the effect of Superheavy Samurai Supply-R in my hand! By discarding this card, I draw a card for every monster on my opponent's field! I draw 3 cards!" Gongenzaka shouted as he violently drew. 'Now, I only have 11 cards in my deck, but it doesn't matter!I'll still winand I'll protect my friends!'

"Go, Gongenzaka!" Masumi cheered.

"With the Scale 1 Superheavy General Hisu-E, and the Scale 8 Superheavy General San-5, I set the Pendulum Scale!" Gongenzaka shouted as he slammed his new pendulum monsters onto his duel disk. Two machine warriors appeared in the blue columns with the lower scale monster being green and the higher scale monster being red.

"Gongenzaka is using Pendulum cards..." Yuya said with a surprised tone.

"Let's go! Pendulum Summon! Come to the battlefield, the tuner monster, Superheavy Samurai Horaga-E! Superheavy Samurai Big Wara-G!" Gongenzaka shouted as two lights shot out of the portal in the sky, revealing a small samurai carrying a trumpet and a yellow machine.

"Hisu-E's Pendulum effect activates! Once per turn, I can increase the level of a Superheavy Samurai on my field by 1! I increase Horaga-E's level from 2 to 3!"

"I tune my level 3 Horaga-E to my level 5 Big Wara-G! Shinobi hiding in the darkness, Emerge onto this warground with a cry that echoes in the mountains! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 8! Superheavy Ninja Saruto-B!" Gongenzaka chanted as a new blue and black machine appeared.

"Gongenzaka performed a Pendulum Synchro!" Yuya exclaimed with a surprised tone.

"Saruto-B's effect activates! Once per turn, while I have no Spells or Traps in my graveyard, I can destroy one Spell or Trap on your field and you take 500 points of damage! I choose to destroy Poison Chain!" Gongenzaka yelled as a blast of wind shattered his opponent's Spell and made Malcolm flinch.

MALCOLM: 3100-2600 LP

"My monsters can attack while in defense mode! Battle! Saturn-B, attack Iron Chain Archer!" Gongenzaka shouted. But as he declared his attack, he passed another Action Card that Malcolm quickly grabbed.

"Action Spell, Damage Banish! The damage is reduced to 0!" Malcolm countered.

"Shutendoji-G, attack Iron Chain Repairman!" Gongenzaka shouted as the monster swung it's club and destroyed the warrior.

"But I don't take any damage since it was in defense mode!" Malcolm smirked.

"I end my turn." Gongenzaka concluded.

"Without Poison Chain, Gongenzaka's deck can't be depleted!" Yuzu exclaimed.

"You think you still stand a chance? How delusional! My turn! I activate the Spell Card, Pot of Greed! I draw 2! Next, I summon Iron Chain Blaster!" Malcolm shouted as a purple and blue armored machine warrior with a cannon-like body appeared.

Iron Chain Blaster (1100/0) LVL: 2

"Iron Chain Blaster's effect activates! Once per turn, by sending an Iron Chain monster from my field to the graveyard, it's ATK is inflicted to you as damage! I release Iron Chain Snake!" Malcolm shouted as the snake dissolved. The warrior fired a blast that hit Gongenzaka directly.

GONGENZAKA: 1800-1000 LP

"I set two cards facedown, turn end!" Malcolm concluded.

"My turn! Saruto-B's effect activates! Your facedown, is destroyed and you take 500 points of damage! I'll destroy one of your facedown cards!"

"Action Spell, Runaway! The activation of you monster's effect is negated and you take 500 points of damage!" Malcolm shouted as he grabbed and activated another card.

GONGENZAKA: 1000-500 LP

"In that case...Battle! Shutendoji-G, attack Iron Chain Blaster!" Gongenzaka shouted as his machine warrior jumped at the monster.

"Trap Activate! Iron Chain Reflect! The attack is negated and I can special summon a Iron Chain monster from my graveyard but with it's effects negated! Come back, Iron Chain Repairman!" Malcolm shouted.

Iron Chain Repairman (1600/1200) LVL: 4

"Tch...Saruto-B, attack Iron Chain Blaster!" Gongenzaka yelled as his monster disappeared and reappeared in front of the monster.

"Trap Activate! Negate Attack! The attack is stopped and the Battle is forced to end!" Malcolm countered.

"Damn...turn end..." Gongenzaka begrudgingly concluded.

"My turn! You're finished! Iron Chain Blaster's effect activates! By releasing Iron Chain Repairman, you take damage equal to it's ATK! This is the end!" Malcolm shouted as the monster shot another blast at the Superheavy user.

"I...activate Superheavy Samurai Guard-R to activate it's effect! By banishing this card in my graveyard, an instance of effect damage is reduced to 0! Also, a Superheavy Samurai monster on my field gains DEF equal to the damage reduced until the end of the turn! I give the boost to Saruto-B!" Gongenzaka yelled as his monster powered up.

Saruto-B (2000/2800)-(2000/4400)

"In that case, I'll use this! I summon the tuner monster, Iron Chain Coil!" Malcolm exclaimed as a small yellow and brown machine appeared.

"I tune my level 4 Iron Chain Coil to my level 2 Iron Chain Blaster! Beastly dragon wrapped in chains! Break through the binding force and appear! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 6! Iron Chain Dragon!" Malcolm yelled as a large blue dragon appeared with chain on it's body.

"Iron Chain Dragon's effect! By banishing my Iron Chain monsters, my dragons gains 200 ATK for each one!" Malcolm yelled as he banished 5 cards.

Iron Chain Dragon (2500/1300)-(3500/1300)

"Battle! Iron Chain Dragon, attack Shutendoji-G! Chain Cannon!" Malcolm commanded as his dragon shot a blue blast from it's mouth that destroyed the opposing Synchro monster. "Hahaha! Iron Chain Dragon's effect activates! Since this card destroyed a monster, cards from the top of your deck are sent to the graveyard equal to the destroyed monster's level! Shutendoji-G is a level 6 monster! So send 6 cards to the graveyard!"

Gongenzaka cursed as he sent more cards to the graveyard.

"Then, due to Paralyzing Chain, you take 300 damage!"

"GAH!" Gongenzaka let out as he was shocked once more.

GONGENZAKA: 500-200 LP

"One more turn and you are finished! Turn end!" Malcolm concluded.

Saruto-B (2000/4400)-(2000/2800)

"I have only 4 cards in my deck...and 200 life points...but it doesn't matter! As long as I draw breathe, I will continue to fight for my friends! I'll defeat you with everything I have! My turn...DRAW!" Gongenzaka shouted as his draw created a gust of wind.

"What the hell? You still think you have a chance? What an idiot!" Malcolm laughed but Gongenzaka looked at his card and smirked.

"Saruto-B's effect activates! Once per turn, while I have no Spells or Traps in my graveyard, I can destroy one Spell or Trap on your field and you take 500 points of damage! I choose to destroy Paralyzing Chain!"

MALCOLM: 2600-2100 LP

"I summon the tuner monster, Superheavy Samurai Tsuzu-3!" Gongenzaka shouted as a yellow and red machine appeared.

"Hisu-E's Pendulum effect activates! Once per turn, I can increase the level of a Superheavy Samurai on my field by 1! I increase Horaga-E's level from 1 to 2!"

"Now, I tune the level 2 Tsuzu-3 to the level 8 Saturo-B! Raging deity, in unison with the soul of a thousand blades, come forth in a spiraling wave! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 10! Superheavy Koujin Susano-O!" Gongenzaka shouted as his large and powerful warrior with turquoise and black armor and a large sword appeared.

"Alright! His monster is stronger!" Yaiba cheered.

"Susano-O can attack in defense mode! This is the power of my Steadfast Dueling! Battle! Susano-O, attack Iron Chain Dragon! Kusanagi Sword Slash!" Gongenzaka shouted as his ace sliced through the dragon, causing a huge explosion.

MALCOLM: 2100-1800 LP

"Tch...but I'm still alive! And with only 4 cards left in your deck, all I need to do is stall and you'll los-"

"There won't be another turn for you!" Gongenzaka shouted.

"What?!"

"San-5's Pendulum effect activates! When a Superheavy Samurai destroys a monster on the field field, I can destroy this card and my monster can attack once more!" Gongenzaka smirked.

"That means..." Malcolm uttered.

"You lose! Go, Susano-O! Attack directly! KUSANAGI SWORD SLASH!" Gongenzaka yelled as his monster jumped forward and slashed the front of Malcolm's D-Wheel, causing it to spin out.

"GAAAAH!"

MALCOM: 1800-0 LP

"During the end phase, Hisu-E is destroyed since there is no other card in my other Pendulum Zone." Gongenzaka explained as the card bursted .

"Amazing! Noburo Gongenzaka has managed to defeat his opponent despite the overwhelming disadvantages!" Melissa shouted as the crowd cheered.

Malcolm pulled into the pit and threw his helmet on the ground.

"Shit!" He yelled.

"Relax bro. We can handle this, don't worry. I promised you we were going to be free and I intend to keep that promise." Lotten told his brother.

"Right! I'll win and earn us our freedom!" Barbara said as she got in her purple D-Wheel and drove off.

"Next up for Team Lotten is their team captain's wife, Barbara! Will she be able to turn the tides against Gongenzaka who only has 200 life points but has a 3800 DEF monster?! Let's find out!" Melissa shouted .

"I'll make you pay for beating my brother-in law!" Barbara shouted.

"We'll see about that! Even if my deck depletes, I'll still clear a path for my team's victory!" Gongenzaka yelled.

"DUEL!"

"My turn! I summon Harpie Lady!" Barbarashouted as a winged women with pinkish hair and blue clothing appeared.

"Next, I activate the Spell Card, Elegant Egotist! This card lets me special summon Harpie Lady Sisters from my deck!" Barbara's yelled as three harpies appeared with yellow armor and pink, orange, and blue hair respectively.

"Next, while I control a level 5 or higher Harpie monster, a black winged I can special summon Harpie Oracle!" Barbara yelled as black winged Harpie with blue clothing appeared.

"Next, I activate the Spell Card, Harpie Draw! I draw a card for every Harpie Lady or Harpie Sisters monster on my field! I draw 3!" Barbara shouted as she drew. "I set two cards facedown, turn end! At this moment, Harpie Oracle's effect activated! During the turn she is summoned, I can add a Spell or Trap that lists Harpie Sisters in it's text."

"She's setting up her field for a big play...and my deck only has 4 cards...but I will still win! My turn! Battle! Susano-O, attack Harpie Lady! Kusanagi Sword Slash!" Gongenzaka shouted as his monster swung it's sword at the monster.

"I won't let you! Trap Activate! Harpie's Storm Barrier! When my opponent declares an attack while I control 3 or more Harpie monsters, I can negate the attack and end the Battle Phase! Also, your attacking monster is destroyed!" Barbara shouted as her monster's flapped their wings, creating a storm of wind that blew the machine Warrior backwards.

"I...am still in this duel! I activate the effect of Superheavy Samurai Soul Fire Armor in my hand! I discard it to negate my monster's destruction! But it loses 800 DEF!" Gongenzaka shouted as his monster was surrounded by a burning aura, protecting it from the wind but weakening it.

Suzano-O (2400/3800)-(2400/3000)

"That was close, Gongenzaka would have lost on the next turn for sure." Serena said.

"Turn end..." Gongenzaka concluded.

"My turn! I activate the Spell Card, Pot of Greed! I draw 2! Then, I activate the Spell Card, Harpie's Dragon Summoning! By releasing my Harpie Lady on my field, I can special summon this dragon from my hand! Come, Harpie's Pet Dragon!" Barbara shouted as a red dragon with a chain wrapped it's neck appeared in her Harpie Lady's place.

Harpie's Pet Dragon (2000/2500) LVL: 7

"Next, I summon Cyber Harpie!" Barabara yelled as a woman similar to Harpie Lady appeared but with green wings and shiny armor.

"Trap Activate! Harpie Sisters' Calling! Since I have my Harpie Lady Sisters on the field, I can special summon a Harpie Lady from the graveyard! Come back, Harpie Lady!" Barbara shouted as the original Harpie Lady returned.

"None of those monsters stand up to Susano-O!" Gongenzaka yelled.

"With an impressive move, Barbara managed to defeat Gongenzaka with the power of her Harpies!" Melissa yelled.

Gongenzaka pulled in to the pit and grunted as he got off his D-Wheel.

"Gongenzaka..." Masumi said with a concerned tone.

"I'm fine." Gongenzaka told his teammate.

"You put up a good fight. I'll finish this." Yuto said as he began to move towards his D-Wheel. But Masumi grabbed his arm before he could get anywhere.

"Let me go next." Masumi said with a determined look.

"...Fine. Do your best." Yuto sighed. Masumi nodded before putting her helmet on and drove off onto his D-Wheel.

"Next up, we have Masumi Kotsu as the second duelist for Team Blades of Bravery!" Melissa yelled as the Gem Knight user caught up with the Harpie duelist.

"So, your my next victim? Let's see how long you last!" Barbara shouted at Masumi.

"Do you want to talk, or duel?" Masumi asked with a confident tone.

"Tch, if your in such a hurry to lose, let's get going!" Barbara shouted.

"If Master Dia's attack is successful, this will be a One Turn Kill...!" Gongenzaka realized.

"I activate the effect of Harpie's Storm Barrier in my graveyard! By banishing this card and my Cyber Harpie, the damage is reduced to 0!" Barbara yelled as a barrier protected her from the explosion.

"So close...I set a card facedown, turn end." Masumi concluded.

"Amazing! Masumi managed to inflict 3800 points of damage in just one turn! Can Barbara make a comeback here or is this the end for her?" Melissa questioned.

"You honestly thought that I was finished? What a joke! My turn!" Barbara shouted as she drew. She then began to laugh as if she had already won.

"It's time to show my true power! I tune my level 4 Harpie Lady to my level 4 Harpie Oracle!" Barbara yelled as her blue winged Harpie turned into 4 green rings that flew around the other monster.

"But that monster's isn't a tuner?!" Masumi yelled.

"The monster I'm summoning let's me treat a Harpie monster on my field as a tuner monster for it's Synchro Summon!" Barbara explained with a smirk.

Barbara shouted as her monster created a storm of wind that blew the Fusion monster back into its owner's hand.

"This Spell lets me destroy monsters on your field up to the amount of Harpie Ladies on my field! And then, you take damage equal to the destroyed monster's ATK! Meaning, Prism Aura is destroyed and you take 2450 points of damage!"

"What?!" Masumi shouted in shock.

"I've won! Destroy Prism Aura!" Barbara exclaimed as the fiery Phoenix flew threw the Fusion, causing a huge explosion.

"Masumi!" Yaiba shouted in disbelief.

The female knight had white armor with purple diamonds on it and had a red cape. The knight carried a sword in her right hand that had a thin blade.

"By using Gem-Knight Roumaline as material, I can Fusion Summon this monster!" Masumi shouted as a card popped out of her Extra Deck slot. "Grind Fusion!Come forth, Level 8! Bewitching and dazzling splendor! Gem-Knight Zirconia!" Masumi shouted as a large silver armored knight appeared with hammer-like armsmade of two large crystals.

"That's not true! Gem-Fusion's effect, I banish Gem-Knight Roumaline to add it back to my hand!" Masumi yelled as the card popped out of her graveyard slot.

"Not at all. Brilliant Fusion's effect allows me to send a Spell Card from my hand to my graveyard and Lady Brilliant Dia gains her original ATKback until my next Standby phase!" Masumi explained with a smirk.

"I send Gem-Knight Fusion from my hand to the graveyard to allow Gem-Knight Lady Brilliant Dia to gain her full ATK back!" Masumi yelled as she discarded the Spell from her hand while her monster powered up.

"With both Lady Brilliant Dia and Zirconia, that will be more than enough damage to finish you off! Battle! This is the end for you! Lady Brilliant Dia, attack Cyber Harpie! Majestic Diamond Strike!" Masumi yelled as her monster charged forward with her sword pointing directly at the Harpie.

Barbara grunted as the attack was about to hit. But, she quickly grabbed an Action Card off the ground and smirked."It seems luck is truly on my side.Action Spell, Evasion! The attack is negated!"

"Tch...Go, Zirconia! Crystal Hammer!" Masumi shouted as his monster crushed the Harpie with it's hammer arms, causing a shockwave that shook Barbara's D-Wheel.

"Damn it...I'll end it on my next turn. I set a card, turn end!" Masumi concluded.

"My turn! This is my final stand! I activate the Spell Card, Rising Harpie Wings! When this card is activated, I can revive a Harpie Lady from my graveyard! But, it has it's effects negated! Revive, Cyber Slash Harpie Lady!" Barbara shouted as her ace returned.

"But that monster is weaker than both of mine!" Masumi yelled.

"W-What?!" Masumi yelled in disbelief.

"Oh no..." Hokuto gasped.

"MASUMI!" Gongenzaka yelled out.

"Go, Cyber Scratch Slash!" Barbara shouted as her monster's claws shined. The Harpie flew above the Gem-Knight and slashed through it, causing a huge explosion.

"I'm sorry...Gongenzaka...I failed..." Masumi uttered as the explosion hit her head on.

"She lost..." Yuto said.

"Hahaha! I knew you were nothing compared to me!" Barbara laughed.

Melissa looked in amazement before speaking. "It appears that Barbara managed to pull off two victories in a row for her team! Will she be able to pull off a third victory and win the match for her team-!"

"She won't get the chance!"

Everyone gasped as Masumi drove out of the smoke, with her outfit and D-Wheel marked up from the explosion.

"What are you still doing? If you don't enter your team's pit in under a minute, your team automatically loses!Are you trying to give up?" Barbara asked.

"That only applies if I can't make any more moves. And since the duel continues, I can still do this! Trap Activate! Brilliant Spark! When a Gem-Knight is destroyed while I control a Gem-Knight Lady on my field, this card inflicts damage equal to the ATK of the destroyed monster!"

"Impossible!" Barbara shouted.

"That's 2900 damage!"

"If I'm going down...I'm taking you with me! TAKE THIS!" Masumi yelled as a blast shot out of the card.

"You bitch-!" Barbara shouted as the blastcollided with her.

"A-Amazing! Despite her life points dropping to 0, Masumi managed to take her opponent with her. Now, both teams only have 1 member left! It appears that the final battle will be coming to us sooner than we thought!" Melissa yelled.

"I'm sorry..." Masumi said as she got off her D-Wheel and took off her helmet.

"Masumi...you did great. There's only one opponent left .We did all we could for him. Hopefully, Yuto will be ok." Gongenzaka sighed as he looked over to Yuto, who was putting on his helmet.

"Yuto..." Masumi quickly walked over to him and gave the boy both Lady Brilliant Dia and Brilliant Fusion.

"F-Fusion..." Yuto stuttered as he grasped the cards. Just because he was more ok with Fusion, didn't mean he felt comfortable using it. But, his nervous expression turned into a deadly glare.

"Good luck, Yuto." Masumi said.

"...Thank you. I won't be held back by my emotions. I'll win, no matter what." Yuto said with a determined tone as he inserted the cards onto his duel disk and drove off.

"Sweetly, I'm sorry I couldn't do more." Barbara told her husband as she handed him her ace monster that remained on the field.

"Don't worry. You defeated two of them. All I have to do is quickly defeat this brat and we will be one step close to freedom." Lotten smiled before driving off.

"Alright! The final member representing Team Blades of Bravery will be Yuto! He inherits his teammate's 3400 ATK Fusion monster and Continuous Spell! And the final member of Team Lotten will be none other than Lotten himself! He inherits his teammate's 2600 ATK Synchro monster!" Melissa exclaimed. She then began looking at words on a tablet before speaking. "According to the rules of the Friendship Cup, in the case of both players' life points dropping to 0, Team Blades of Bravery's Yuto will have the first turn since it was Team Lotten's Barbara's turn when the tie occurred. But, Yuto cannot attack since is against the rules to attack a player who hasn't taken a turn yet. Now, let the deciding duel begin!"

"Don't worry, punk! I'll make this quick...but painful!" Lotten said with major emphasize in his last words.

"I'll wrap this duel up right now! My turn!" Lotten shouted as he drew. He smirked at the sight of the card before laughing maniacally. "HAHAHA! This duel is over! I summon Gatling Ogre!"

A purple skinned fiend with red clothing that had a mechanical arm and a gatling gun built into it's stomach appeared.

"Oh no...!" Yugo's eyes widened has he remembered his duel with the criminal.

"Yuto!" Yuya cried.

"Quick Play Spell, Emergency Provisions! By sending Brilliant Fusion to the graveyard, I gain 1000 life points!"

"Tch...GO TO HELL!" Lotten yelled as his dragon cranked the handle of it's gun, causing a barrage of bullets to fly forward hit Yuto, causing an explosion.

Yuto's D-Wheel began to spin out due to multiple bullets hitting his D-Wheel. Lotten smirked as he raced past the body.

Yuto managed to stop his D-Wheel right before crashing. His eyes narrowed as he glared ahead, before driving off.

"Yuto barely managed to escape a One Turn Kill!" Melissa commented.

"Yuto...he's getting angry. I can feel it." Yugo said as he put his hand on his heart.

"So it appears you can still fight. But I'll quickly change that! Battle! Cyber Slash Harpie Lady, Direct Attack! Cyber Scratch Slash!" Lotten yelled as his wife's ace flew back towards Yuto with shinning claws.

"Trap Activate! Defense Draw! I can reduce the damage to 0! Then, I draw a card!" Yuto yelled as a barrier protected him while he drew.

"Damn you...Go, Gatling Ogre! Direct Attack!" Lotten exclaimed as his monster shot another barrage of bullets.

Yuto yelled as his two monsters turned into purple energy that flew into the overlay network.

"An Xyz Summon from the Pendulum zone..." Yuya said.

"Fang of Rebellion, descend from the purified darkness and destroy those who oppose your order! Xyz Summon! Come forth! Rank 7! Dark Anthelion Dragon!" Yuto shouted as his hybrid dragon appeared. The dragon was larger with a smaller neck. It had silver armor plates along with black ones around its wings and chest. It also had purple orbs on its armor along with turquoise lining.

"Similar to how Yugo summoned a Synchro Pendulum Dragon, Yuto had summoned an Xyz Pendulum Dragon! These boys with identical faces sure are strong!" Melissa yelled causing the crowd to cheer.

"That dragon doesn't scare me!" Lotten yelled.

"It should! Dark Anthelion's effect activates! By using an overlay unit, I can target a monster on your field and it loses half of it's ATK while Dark Anthelion gains that same amount and I gain life points equal to that same amount! You can't activate effects in response to this effect! I target Cyber Slash Harpie Lady! Go, Absorb Eclipse!" Yuto shouted. The dragon shot a burst of purple energy from it's wings that enveloped the Synchro monster while Yuto was covered in a green aura.

"Tch...I set a card facedown, turn end." Yuto concluded.

"My turn!" Lotten shouted as he drew. He then looked ahead and spotted an Action Card on the track. He grabbed it and smirked. "I'll be taking full advantage of these Action Duels! I set this Action Spell facedown. Then I'll activate Gatling Ogre's effect! By sending it to the graveyard, you take another 800 points of damage!"

"Amazing! Lotten is using the Action Cards to advance his strategy!" Melissa yelled.

"One more and you are finished!" Lotten shouted with a smirk.

Yuto's eyes widened as he saw two more Action Cards ahead of Lotten.

Lotten drove to the right in order to grab the Action Card on the track while Yuto was forced to go for the one high in the air.

Yuto didn't want to waste his dragon's effect, so he managed to stand up off of his D-Wheel a bit and grabbed the Action Card.

"I-!"

"Action Spell, Paralyze! Gatling Ogre's effects are negated while it's on the field!" Yuto yelled, cutting of Lotten.

"In that case, I'll do this! I release Gatling Ogre to Advance Summon Full Armored Ogre!" Lotten yelled as as a blue skinned fiend appeared with bulky armor and two guns on it's arms appeared.

"Tch...Trap Activate! Guardraw! I switch my dragon to defense and I draw a card!" Yuto yelled as the dragon barely managed to switch positions before being hit by the oversized bullet, causing a huge explosion.

"Tch...Full Armored Ogre's effect activates! When this card successfully destroys a monster, it inflicts 1000 points of damage!" Lotten shouted as another bullet hit the front of Yuto's D-Wheel, causing it to almost spin out.

"Battle! Go, Big Cannon Ogre! Direct Attack! Hell Cannon Shot!" Lotten shouted as his monster shot a red blast from it's cannon. But, Yuto wasn't panicking.

"Rusted Axe's Pendulum effect! When I am attacked directly, I can special summon this card from the Pendulum Zone and it can't be destroyed by battle this turn!" Yuto yelled as the monster jumped out of the Pendulum zone and blocked the attack with it's axe.

"That may be true...but I'm going to do something even better!" Lotten grinned as he spoke. "I release Supply Ogre and Gatling Ogre to Advance Summon! Come, Level 7! Long Barrel Ogre!"

A uniformed fiend appeared with a large long barrel shot gun over it's right shoulder.

"Damn it..." Yuto grunted.

"Long Barrel will destroy both of your Attack Position monsters! First, Destroy Ghoul Archer! Great Snipe - First Shot!" Lotten shouted as an oversized bullet shot through archer. It caused a shockwave that made Yuto grunt in pain.

"You think you've won? You've played right into my hands." Yuto said with a serious glare.

"My turn! I overlay my level 4 Ancient Cloak and Rusted Axe!" Yuto shouted as he pointed to the sky while the two monsters turned into dark energy that flew into the overlay network.

"Here it comes...!" Yugo exclaimed, sensing the presence of a certain dragon.

"Fangs of pitch-black darkness! Rise up against the foolish oppression! Descend now! Xyz Summon! Come forth! Rank 4! Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon!" Yuto shouted as his ace purple and black dragon appeared and roared loudly.

"What's that weak dragon going to do?" Lotten shouted with a smirk.

"His anger..." Yugo said as he gripped his chest like his Pendulum counterpart.

"Dark Rebellion's effect activates! By using an overlay unit, I can target a level 5 or higher on my field and halve it's ATK! Then, Dark Rebellion gains the lost amount! Treason Discharge!" Yuto shouted as the dragon shot out purple electricity from the orbs on it's armor. The electricity wrapped around the fiend, weakening it and Dark Rebellion roared as it powered up.

"I won't lose here! I'll win my freedom!" Lotten shouted as he spotted an Action Card.

He took control of his D-Wheel and sped forward, reaching out for the card as the dragon drew closer.

"Action Spell, Damage Banish! I reduce the battle damage to 0!" Lotten countered as the fangs of the dragon drove through the fiend.

"...I set a card facedown, turn end." Yuto concluded.

"HeheheheHAHAHAHA! That was close! But I'm not going to let you take away my freedom! I'll kill you for pushing me this far! I won't stop until your body is facedown on the track!" Lotten shouted with a maniacal look.

The crowd began to cheer for Lotten. They were getting excited for the pure blood lust between the two duelists.

"MY TURN! I summon the tuner monster, Catapult Ogre!" Lotten shouted as a blue skinned fiend with grey clothing appeared. It had a black catapult on it's back.

Lotten exclaimed as silver skinned fiend with black armor appeared. The fiend had multiple guns protruding from it's core, back, shoulders, and arms.

"Alright! His ace is out!" Malcolm cheered.

"Berserker Ogre's effect activates! Once per turn, by banishing one Ogre monster in my graveyard, you take damage equal to the banished monster's ATK or DEF! I banish Long Barrel Ogre to deal you 3000 damage! YOU'RE DEAD!" Lotten shouted as his monster fired a blast from each of it's barrels.

"I refuse to lose! Trap Activate! Damage Polarizer! The effect damage is reduced to 0!" Yuto shouted as a barrier protected him.

"DAMN IT!" Lotten shouted.

"Then, both of us draw a card! Let's go!"

"DRAW!" Yuto and Lotten shouted as they both drew.

"C'mon Yuto..." Shun said under his breath.

"BATTLE! Berserker Ogre, attack Dark Rebellion! At this moment, Crossbow Ogre's effect in the graveyard activates! By banishing it, an Ogre monster on the field gains 100 ATK for each Ogre monster in the graveyard! Therefore, my monster gains 600 ATK!"

"Damn it..." Yuto grunted.

"GO, GIGA BULLET BARRAGE!" Lotten exclaimed as a burst of bullet was fired and shot through the dragon.

"Forgotten Dagger's Pendulum effect activates! Once per turn, by banishing a card in my hand, a Rank 4 or lower DARK Xyz monster can't be destroyed by battle!"

"BUT YOU STILL TAKE THE DAMAGE!"

"GAAAAAHHH!" Yuto yelled as the bullets pierced through his dragon and hit him.

The crowd roared in excitement as Yuto looked down in pain.

"HEHEHEHAHAHA! I'll use the card that you let me draw to defeat you! Quick Play Spell, Fiend Rush! This lets me call forth a level 4 or lower Fiend-type monster from my graveyard! Revive, Gatling Ogre!" Lotten exclaimed as his monster jumped out of a dark portal.

"No way...!" Masumi gasped.

"I'm ending this duel right now!" Lotten shouted as he took manual control of his D-Wheel.

"He's searching for an Action Card!" Crow exclaimed.

"If he manages to set one, Gatling Ogre will inflict 800 damage to Yuto!" Serena realized.

"Yuto...there's no way he can lose here...GAH!" Yuya said before gasping for air while gripping his chest in pain.

"Yuya?!" Serena shouted as her bracelet began blinking.

"GAH!" Yugo gripped his chest in pain.

"Yugo?! Are you ok?!" Yuzu ran over to her friend.

"You bastard...you think you can win...YOU'RE DEAD WRONG!" Yuto exclaimed as he gave into his rage. His eyes flickered into a blue color before returned back to grey as he manually controlled his D-Wheel.

"Oh no..." Masumi uttered as their fears became true.

Yuto sped forward on his D-Wheel and crashed against the side of Lotten.

"You little shit!" Lotten cursed as the two D-Wheels clashed against each other.

"YEAH!"

"WOOHOO!"

The two spotted an Action Card and sped forward. They both reached out at the same time for the card.

"I'VE WON!"

"NO YOU HAVEN'T!"

Yuto slowed down for a moment and slammed his front wheel into Lotten's back wheel.

"YOU ASSHOLE!" Lotten shouted as he slowed his D-Wheel down to prevent spinning out, allowing Yuto to grab the card.

"AWESOME!"

"THIS IS SO INTENSE!"

"He's being so aggressive!" Yuzu said with an afraid tone.

"That was close..." Gongenzaka sighed.

But suddenly, another Action Card came into view. Yuto was unable to grab it since he already had an Action Card in his hand, causing Lotten to grin.

"HAHAHAHA! It seems I'm destined to win!" Lotten shouted as he grabbed the card. But, before he could do anything, Yuto spoke.

"I'll destroy your hope of winning with this! Action Spell, Action Crush! Any Action card added to your hand during this turn is destroyed!"Yuto shouted causing Lotten's eyes to widen as his Action Card bursted.

"Damn it! I'll win during the next turn! I end my turn!" Lotten yelled.

"THIS IS THE FINAL TURN!" Yuto roared.

"What?!"

"MY TURN! I activate the Spell Card, Pot of Darkness! I banish Break Sword and Ghoul Archer to draw 2!" Yuto shouted as he placed his cards on the top of the deck and closed his eyes. "I..WILL DEFEAT YOU! DRAW!"

Yuto eyed the two cards before glaring at Lotten with a menacing look. "NO MERCY! I activate the Ritual Spell, Ritual of Apocalypse!"

A circle of flames appeared in front of Yuto with two alters on opposites. The right alter had a flame while the left alter had a purple flame.

"R-Ritual?!" Lotten shouted.

"Now I can ritual summon releasing monsters on my field whose levels are equal or higher! But if I have an Xyz Dragon on my field, I can treat monsters with ranks as having level equal to their ranks and I can release them! I release Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon treated as level 4 and the level 4 Phantom Knights Chain Master in my hand!" Yuto shouted as his dragon and knight appeared in the circles of flames. The monsters split into spheres of flames that flew around the circle.

"Here it comes...!" Gongenzaka uttered.

"Dragon born from the raging flames of war! Resurrect with a burning vengeance and destroy everything with your apocalyptic power! RITUAL SUMMON! Come forth! Level 8! DARK REBELLION APOCALYPSE DRAGON!" Yuto shouted as a burst of orange and purple flames shot out of the circle, revealing Dark Rebellion's ritual form. The dragon had sharp black armor with purple energy coursing through it and golden orbs on it's mechanical wings. The dragon had a fiery golden orb in the center of it's body. It had golden claws and a purple blade at the end of it's tail

Dark Rebellion Apocalypse Dragon (3000/2500) LVL:8

"Amazing! Using an Xyzmonster, Yuto managed to summon a terrifying Ritual Dragon!" Melissa nervously shouted as the crowd looked in awe.

"Dark Rebellion Apocalype Dragon's effect! When this card is ritual summoned, all monsters on your field have their ATK halved and they have their effects negated! And then this card gets 400 ATK for each card effected! POWER ANNIHILATION!" The Dragon shot a powerful golden blast from the center of it's body that hit the two Ogre monsters paralyzing them.

Berserker Ogre (2600/2600)-(1300/1300)

Gatling Ogre (800/800)-(400/800)

Apocalypse Dragon (3000/2500)-(3800/2500)

"BATTLE! Dark Rebellion Apocalypse Dragon, attack Berserker Ogre and don't hold anything back!" Yuto shouted with an angry look in his grey eyes. "BLAZING ARMAGEDDON IMPACT!"

The dragon flew high in the air and shot a gold and purple colored spiral of flames at the fiend, incinerating it which caused a huge explosion.

"I WILL WIN MY FREEDOM! I banish Catapult Ogre to reduce the damage involving a Fiend-type Synchro monster to 0!" Lotten yelled the spirit of his monster protected him from the blast.

"N-No way...he survived...!" Serena eyes widened in disbelief.

"No...it's not over...!" Yuya said as he gripped his chest harder, sensing what was coming next.

"HAHAHA! Now on my next turn, all I need to do is set a Spell or Trap and then use Gatling Ogre's effect to finish you off! IT'S OVER!" Lotten shouted before laughing once more.

"It's not over...Phantom Knights Chain Master's effect activates in the graveyard! By banishing it during the Battle Phase, one monster on my opponent's field switches it's battle position! Gatling Ogre switches to ATK MODE!"

Gatling Ogre (400/800)-(400/800)

"Eh?!" Lotten got nervous for a second before shaking his head. "HAH! You had me for a moment! But your monster already attacked once this turn! YOU CAN'T WIN!"

"Your wrong...because I promised...that I would win...NO MATTER WHAT!" Yuto shouted, tapping into his darkness once more.

"RAAAAHHH!" Yuya and Yugo roared as their eyes blinked red and cyan respectively.

"Since it was summoned using a Xyz monster...APOCALYPSE CAN ATTACK EVERY MONSTER WEAKENED BY IT'S EFFECT! MEANING, MY DRAGON CAN ATTACK YOUR PATHETIC MONSTER!" Yuto roared at the top of his lungs.

"Impossible...there's no way...!" Lotten uttered in horror.

"GO, DARK REBELLION APOCALYPSE DRAGON! ATTACK GATLING OGRE!" Yuya shouted as his eyes were completely consumed in a red glow.

"INCINERATE THAT FOOL FOR TRYING TO GET IN OUR WAY AND SEND HIM STRAIGHT TO HELL!" Yugo yelled as his eyes were covered in a cyan color.

"BLAZING ARMAGEDDON IMPACT!" Yuto screamed as his dragon's orbs burned brightly. The dragon roared as it blasted a spiral of golden and purple flames at the fiend. The blast incinerated the fiend and consumed Lotten, who yelled as he burned.

"GRAAAAAAAAAAAH!"

LOTTEN: 200-0 LP

WINNER: TEAM BLADES OF BRAVERY

"A-And it's over...!" Melissa said with a somewhat terrified tone. "With the amazing power of his Ritual Dragon, Yuto managed to win the duel for Team Blades of Bravery...!"

"That was so intense!"

"I'm cheering for that guy to become king!"

"His ruthlessness was so awesome!"

The crowd cheered for the violent conclusion as Lotten's steaming D-Wheel came to a complete stop.

Lotten fell of his D-Wheel due to the pain from the flames. His wife and brother ran over to him with the medical team following.

"Lotten! Wake up!" Malcolm shouted.

"Honey...oh no..." Barbara whimpered as she knelt down to her unconscious husband. The medical team arrived and took Lotten away while security handled Malcolm and Barbara.

Yuto's eyes went back to normal as he clutched his head in pain for a moment. He got off of his D-Wheel and took his helmet off before walking back to his team.

"Yuto...what the hell was that?!" Gongenzaka shouted at the phantom duelist.

"That...was me winning...and I will continue to win until I save her" Yuto said as he walked past Masumi and Gongenzaka into the tunnel.

"We need to help him before he hurts someone else...or himself..." Masumi said with a worried tone.

With Team United Hope

"Yuya! Yuya!" Serena shouted at the tomato haired boy who had fallen unconscious.

"...What happened...?" Yuya grunted as he got up from the bed.

"We were worried about you for a moment...thank god you are ok." Crow sighed in relief.

"All I remember is feeling a pain in my chest and then everything went blank..." Yuya said with a worried tone.

"It was almost like you were...connecting with Yuto..." Serena said.

"I remember feeling a sense of rage...but it wasn't my rage...but his..." Yuya explained.

He took out a card from his deck and looked at Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon.

"What the hell is going on...?"

With Team Wings of Victory

"Yugo! Wake up!" Yuzu shouted as she violently shook the unconscious boy.

"ACK! I'M UP!" Yugo shouted as he woke up.

"Finally...I was worried..." Yuzu sighed.

"What happened...?" Yugo asked as he rubbed his head.

"You...suddenly lost control...and it was almost like you were synchronizing with Yuto." Yuzu explained.

"No...!" Yugo uttered as he grabbed his head. Unlike Yuto and Yuya, he hadn't gone berserk since their first meeting...where almost killed them both.

"It's ok, Yugo. As long as you control your anger, it will be ok..." Yuzu said, comforting Yugo.

Shun looked at the two as a nervous feeling began to build up within him. He was worried about his best friend. The glowing eyes...the sudden changes in behavior...all of this wasn't the Yuto he became friends with. He wanted Yuto to help him save his sister...but he didn't want Yuto to lose himself in the process...

Academia

Sora was walking through the halls of Academia while being deep in his thoughts.

'I can't let Yuzu be taken by Academia...I can't let them put a parasite in her head like those other girls...but how can I save her without betraying everything I stand for.And Yuri will expect me to card anyone who gets in my way...like Yuya...' Sora thought to himself.

"Hey partner~!" A creepy voice said from behind Sora, scarring the blue haired boy.

"What the-?!" Sora said turning around and seeing that the person behind him was Yuri. "O-Oh...hey Yuri..."

"You seemed deep in your thoughts? What were you thinking about?" Yuri said with an intrigued smile.

"I...was thinking about the Synchro Dimension. I've never been there." Sora lied as sweat formed on his forehead.

"I see...I've been once to capture that Rin girl. That place is a real dump." Yuri said, referring to the commons.

"So I've heard..." Sora responded. "Do you have a plan to capture our targets?"

"Well, the spy told us that the Lancers are participating in some type of tournament. But sadly, they are grouped together which will make capturing them a bit more challenging. But when the chaos of the invasion ensues, it should be easier to pick them off." Yuri explained.

"If that's the case, why are we leaving so early?" Sora asked.

"To observe our prey~." Yuri said with a sinister smile.

"You really are a professional...!" Sora nervously laughed.

"I should be. I have already captures 2 out of the 4 girls. Yuzu just got lucky. That won't happen again." Yuri menacingly said.

"Right..." Sora nervously uttered.

The two stopped in front of two large doors that were opened by two students. The two walked in and saw the Professor sitting on his thrown.

Sora and Yuri walked in and knelt down at the sight of their leader.

"Sora Shui'in. Yuri. You may rise." Leo said as the two rose up.

"Professor, we are ready to accomplish our mission." Yuri spoke first.

"We have decided to work together." Sora added.

"Good. Everything Academia has been fighting for is now in your hands. By capturing these girls, our utopia will be created. Do you understand the importance of this mission?" The Professor explained.

"Yes, Professor." Sora and Yuri said.

"Now go." Professor told the boys who nodded.

"Glory on Academia." Yuri and Sora both said before hitting a button on their duel disks. A flash of light enveloped them...causing them to disappear.

"Ray...I am so close to getting you back...and I won't stop until you are in my arms...!" Leo said to himself as the shadowy image of his daughter appeared in front of him...

Man that was a fun duel to write! I'm really happy with how that one turned out. I'm glad I finally got to write these 3 characters because I like Gongenzaka, Masumi, and Yuto a lot!

I decided to give Malcolm the Iron Chain deck because I really liked Yusei vs Armstrong in 5Ds and when thinking about basic Synchro Archetypes, that one came to mind. And he was very close to making Gongenzaka deck out. And Gongenzaka had a 40 card deck if you were wondering. I gave Barbara a Harpie deck because she had that deck in a Ygo game and Harpies now have a Synchro monster. And I had Masumi tie with Barbara because I wanted to break the cycle of TeamA win, Team B win, Team A win, Team B win, Team A win.

Don't expect powerful duelists to win their duels because in the 5Ds anime, Crow and Jack were sometimes the first ones to lose or draw.

Due to Yuto's rise in aggression, the darkness is beginning to easily take him over. That ending was similar to how Yuya synchronized with all of his counterparts when dueling Crow in theArc V anime. This won't happen in every duel, but I thought it would be cool for his onesince I felt that duelinga dick like Lotten would anger him. And Yuto won't use Dark Rebellion Apocalypse Dragon during every duel, but I felt that it would be cool for him to use this one since I built that up last chapter.

Also, Sora and Yuri have arrived in the Fusion Dimension! Now, all 4 counterparts in the same dimension! That can't go wrong...right?
