Hey Guys! As you know, this duel will be a rematch that I hinted at a while ago. This duel has been such a fun duel to write and I figured it would be a nice break from 3v3s. Thanks for all of your support! Enjoy!

Two men were carrying an unconscious Dennis in the tunnel while talking about the previous match.

"Wow, that match sure was intense." The first man said.

"To think they would actually crumble the track...I wonder if they will be able to repair it before the next round." The second man commented.

"Yeah, but the destruction makes the duel way more interesting." The first man said with a grin.

"Hell yeah! And those monsters were so strong as well! If only I had such awesome cards..." The second man sighed.

"Well good thing we have some right here for the picking..." The first man smiled. He placed the unconscious Dennis on the ground before taking out the spy's deck.

"Good idea!" The second man shouted with a smirk.

"Imagine how much we could make by selling these cards!" The first man said as he looked through the cards.

The second man took the deck and grabbed the Fusion Monster at the bottom of the deck, Ancient Gear Chaos Giant.

"I think I'll keep this one." The second man grinned.

"...How dare you disrespect Academia!"

The two men looked back from where the voice came from and saw a blue haired boy with a blue jacket and dark pants with a lollipop in his mouth.

"Hey, you shouldn't be down here!" The first man shouted.

"Yeah! Get lost, brat!" The second man yelled.

"Heh." Sora let out a slight chuckle as he chomped down on his lollipop.

In the blink of an eye, the boy rushed forward and delivered a kick so the face to the first man. The second man threw a punch but Sora swiftly ducked before punching the man in the gut.

"Not so tough now, Huh?" Sora laughed.

"...You...bastard...!" The first man grunted.

"...Damn you...brat...!" The second man uttered.

Sora smirked as he flicked the pick of his eaten lollipop at the first man. The pick bounced off the first man's forehead and hit the second man in the nose. Both groaned in annoyance before passing out from Sora's previous assault. Sora grabbed Dennis' cards and looked at the unconscious teen.

"Since that is over, it's time to get you back home." Sora said.

He walked over to the unconscious Dennis and putting the teen's cards in his pocket.

"Wake up sleepy head." Sora shook the teen, causing him to slowly open his eyes.

"...Wait...you are the spy before me...Sora...?" Dennis uttered.

"Yeah, don't worry. I'm sending you back to Academia." Sora said as he tapped his duel disk.

"I see...all that's left is for Yuri to capture Serena and Yuzu." Dennis said.

"I'll be taking up the role of capturing Serena under the Professor's orders. Tell the Professor Yuri and I will complete our missions no matter what." Sora explained.

"Hm, will do. Well, it's been fun." Dennis chuckled as he looked down.

Sora pressed a button as a blue light enveloped Dennis, causing him to disappear.

"Since that is settled, I should get back-"

"Hey, Sora!" A voice coming from behind Sora yelled out.

The boy whipped his head around and his eyes widened as he saw the teen standing across from him.

"Y-Yuya...!" Sora stuttered in shock.

"Sora...what the hell are you doing?!" Yuya questioned.

"What are you talking about?! Stop acting like you know me when you clearly don't! I made it clear during our last duel where I stood with things!" Sora shouted at the teen, making him grunt.

"And we both know that you weren't being truthful!" Yuya yelled back.

"You know nothing! Now get the hell out of my way!" Sora angrily shouted.

"If I can't reason with you...then I'll duel you!" Yuya shouted. He swung his arm outwards as the yellow blade shot out of his red duel disk.

"Heh. I'll use this duel to finally put an end to your false beliefs about me! I'll show you the power I've acquired from Academia!" Sora yelled as he activated his blue sword blade from his yellow Academia duel disk.

"In order to remind you of your true self...I'll defeat you! I'll bring out your true smile!" Yuya declared.

"Let's settle this once and for all! No holding back!" Sora shouted.

FIELD SPELL: CROSSOVER

"DUEL!"

SORA: 4000 LP vs YUYA: 4000 LP

Sora looked around at the platforms that were materializing and smirked.

"Your duel disk can activate an Action Field? How useful."The blue haired boy said.

Yuya gritted his teeth as he remembered Sora's amazing physical capabilitiesthat he displayed during his Action Duel with Shun. This was going to be a tough duel.

"I'll take the first turn! From my hand, I summon Furnimal Mouse!" Sora exclaimed as a small blue mouse appeared.

Furnimal Mouse (100/100) LVL: 1

"When this card is face up on the field in Attack Position, I can special summon two more copies of this card from my deck!" Sora explained as his monster's eyes glowed bright red while two more copies appeared.

Furnimal Mouse x2 (100/100) LVL: 1

"Next, I activate the Spell Card, Fusion! I fuse my three Furnimal Mouses with my Edge Imp Chain in my hand!" Sora shouted as the four monsters rose up into the fusion vortex. "Chain of Destruction! Sharp fangs! Become one and reveal a new form and power! Fusion Summon! Reveal yourself! Level 5! Chain-bound vermin swarming over everything! Death-Toy Chain Rat!"

A new fusion which was a demonic rat plushie appeared in front of Sora. It looked like it had been ripped apart and stitched back together with chains falling out of the seams. It had a demonic pair of red eyes peaking out from it's mouth.

Death-Toy Chain Rat (1800/1500) LVL: 5

"When Fusion Summoned, I can set either a Toy Pot or Death-Toy Spell or Trap directly from my deck! I chose to set this card!" Sora explained as he scrolled through his cards on his duel disk's screen. He tapped on the image of a card and the card popped out of his deck. He smiled as he set the card facedown.

"Setting a card from the deck...not good." Yuya grunted.

"Now, I'll set another card facedown. Turn end." Sora concluded.

"I'll bring you back, Sora! My turn!" Yuya shouted with a determined tone as he drew. "From my hand, I summon Entermate Silver Claw!"

Yuya's loyal silver wolf appeared by his side with a threatening snarl.

Entermate Silver Claw (1800/700) LVL: 4

"Let's go, Silver Claw! Battle! Attack Chain-Rat! At this moment, Silver Claw's effect activates! When this card attacks all Entermates on my field gain 300 ATK!"

"Action Spell, Monster Force! Silver Claw gains 100 ATK for every monster on the field!"

Silver Claw (2100/700)-(2300/700)

"Trap Activate! Death-Toy Backup! When a Death-Toy monster would be destroyed, it gains 800 ATK instead!" Sora yelled as his monster powered up.

Chain Rat (1800/1500)-(2600/1500)

"What?!" Yuya shouted.

"Go, Chain Rat! Counter attack!" Sora yelled multiple chains shot out of the sheep, piercing through the wolf.

YUYA: 4000-3700 LP

"Tch...I set two cards facedown, turn end." Yuya concluded.

"I'll defeat you right now! My turn! Continuous Trap, Death-Toy Pot activate!" Sora shouted as his new trap card. A deadly vending machines appeared next to Sora with a dark spheres with piercing red eyes on the inside.

"Death-Toy Pot? Not Toy Pot?" Yuya questioned, remembering the previous card from their previous duel

"My dueling has evolved since the last time we met! There is no way I'll lose to you ever again! This card lets me discard one card to draw a card from my deck! And if it is an Edge Imp monster, I can destroy a card on your field!" Sora explained as he discarded a card to draw. He then smirked before glaring at Yuya. "I drew...Edge Imp Scissors! Which means I get to destroy one of your cards! I chose the card on the left."

A dark sphere popped out of the vendor and shot forward at the facedown. Yuya looked at his left facedown and smirked.

"I guess I have no choice but to activate it before it's destroyed! Quick Play Spell, Super Hippo Carnival!" Yuya yelled as his set card opened.

"Super Hippo Carnival?" Sora questioned.

"This card lets me special summon Entermate Discover Hippo from my deck! Then, I can special summoned as many Hippo Tokens as possible! And you can only attack my tokens while they are on the field!" Yuya shouted as his signature pink hippo appeared while surrounded by four dancing hippos.

"Try getting through this defense!" Yuya shouted.

"Oh I will!" Sora smirked.

"Huh?!"

"Chain Rat's effect activates! I can special summon Furnimal monsters from my graveyard up to the amount of Furnimal Mouses used as Fusion Materials! So I can bring back three Furnimals!" Sora explained. A purple portal opened up and the rat shot it's chains into the portal. "Come back, my Furnimal Mouses!"

"Now I activate the Spell Card, Fusion Recovery! I add back Fusion and Edge Imp Chain from my graveyard to my hand! Then I'll activate the Spell Card, Fusion! I fuse Edge Imp Scissors in my hand with my three Furnimal Mouses on my field!"

"Not good..." Yuya grunted.

"Demonic claws, sharp fangs! Become one in the mystic vortex and show us a new form and power! Fusion summon! Show yourself! Level 6! Mystical jungle beast that rips everything to shreds! Death-Toy Scissors Tiger!" Sora yelled as a cyan colored demonic plushy tiger with red eyes glowing from it's mouth appeared. The tiger had a giant pair of scissors attached to it's torso.

Death-Toy Scissors Tiger (1900/1200) LVL:6

"You should be familiar with this card's effect! Scissors Tiger can destroy cards on your field up to the amount of it's Fusion Materials! Meaning, four of your cards are destroyed! I chose to destroy your four tokens!" Sora shouted as his monster's scissors extended out and sliced through the hippo dancers.

"No way!" Yuya shouted.

"Also, all Death-Toys on the field gain 300 ATK for every Death-Toy or Furnimal monster on the field! So both of my monsters gain 600 ATK!"

Scissors Tiger (1900/1200)-(2500/1200)

Chain Rat (2600/1500)-(3200/1500)

"Battle! Scissors Tiger, attack Discover Hippo!" Sora commanded. His tiger leaped forward and sliced the pink hippo in half with it's blades.

"Damn it..." Yuya grunted.

"Now go, Death-Tot Chain Rat! Attack him directly!" Sora commanded as multiple chains shot directly at Yuya.

"Trap Activate! Entermate Signal!" Yuya shouted as a traffic light flashing green and red appeared increasingly don't of the chains, causing them to freeze mid air.

"Huh?!"

"Now I can draw a card and send it to the graveyard! And if it's a monster, the attack is negated! I draw!" Yuya shouted as he drew and smirked. "The card was Entermate Springoose! So by sending it to the graveyard, I can negate the attack!" Yuya yelled as the light flashed red, causing the chains to fly back into the rat's body.

"What luck...Turn End." Sora concluded before glaring at his opponent.

"My turn, draw!" Yuya shouted as he drew. "Let's go! With the Scale 1 Stargazer Magician, and the Scale 8 Odd Eyes Arc Pendulum Dragon, I set the Pendulum Scale!"

Stargazer 1 - 8 Odd Eyes Arc

"With this, I can simultaneously summon monsters with levels 2 through 7! Swing Pendulum of my soul! Draw an arc of light across the ether! Pendulum Summon! Come forth, my monster!" Yuya shouted as he pointed to the sky while one red light shot out of the portal. "From my hand, the dazzling light of salvation that penetrates the darkness of despair! Odd Eyes Saber Dragon!"

The newest alternate version of Odd Eyes appeared on Yuya's field with shinning yellow and white armor.

Odd Eyes Saber Dragon (2800/2000) LVL: 7

"More Odd Eyes?" Sora said in a surprised tone as he looked at the blue dragon in Yuya's Pendulum zone and the shinning dragon on Yuya's field.

"Battle! Odd Eyes Saber Dragon, attack Scissor Tiger! Spiral Light Burst!" Yuya yelled as his monster shot a yellow and red spiraling blast at the tiger, that blasted right through it. A small shockwave hit Sora, causing him to cover his face with his arm.

SORA: 4000-3700 LP

"Not bad...Chain Rat now loses 600 ATK since Scissor Tiger left the field." Sora explained as his monster powered down.

Chain Rat (3200/1500)-(2600/1500)

"I'm not done yet! Odd Eyes Saber Dragon's effect activates! When this card destroys a monster, my dragon can destroy one monster on your field!" Yuya exclaimed.

"What?!" Sora yelled.

"Go, Shinning Force!" Yuya shouted as his dragon shot a white and yellow blast that consumed obliterated Sora's remaining monster.

"Damn it..." Sora said as he gritted his teeth.

"I set a card facedown, Turn end." Yuya concluded. "Sora, I know this has to be tough for you...but you have to understand that what you are fighting for is wrong!"

"What I'm fighting for is a utopia! My turn! Death-Toy Pot's effect activates! I discard Edge Imp Chain to draw!" Sora shouted as he drew and smirked at the sight of the card he had drawn. "I drew Edge Imp Scythe! Meaning, I can choose to destroy a card on your field! I think I'll chose...Odd Eyes Saber Dragon!"

Another dark sphere shot out of the vendor and shot through the dragon.

"I...knew you would do that! Odd Eyes Arc Pendulum Dragon's Pendulum effect activates!" Yuya shouted as his dragon began to glow bright blue.

"What?! A Pendulum effect at this timing?" Sora questioned.

"Since an Odd Eyes card was destroyed, I can special summon an Odd Eyes monster from my hand, graveyard, or deck! Come on out from my deck, wonderous and beautiful dragon with dichromatic eyes! Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon!" Yuya shouted as his ace monster appeared with it's signature roar.

Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon (2500/2000) LVL: 7

"Summoning your ace from the deck, eh? Not bad. But I'm nowhere near done! Edge Imp Scythe's effect from my hand activates! By revealing this card, I can Fusion Summon a Death-Toy monster using monsters in my hand or on my field including this card!"

"What?!"

"I'm fusing Edge Imp Scythe and Furnimal Dolphin! Demonic blade! Become one with the aquatic beast and show us your new form and power! Fusion Summon! Come forth! Level 9! Ultimate predator that rules the ocean! Death-Toy Cruel Whale!" Sora yelled as a demonic plushy whale with blades ripping out of it's body appeared. A pair of glowing red eyes could he seen from the whale's mouth.

Death-Toy Cruel Whale (2600/2400) LVL: 9

"It's stronger than Odd Eyes...!" Yuya realized.

"Furnimal Dolphin's effect activates! When used as Fusion Material, I shuffle a Fusion Spell Card from my graveyard or banish zone into my deck! Next, Cruel Whale's effect activates! When Fusion Summoned, a card on each of our fields is destroyed!" Sora explained with a smirk.

"I won't let you destroy Odd Eyes!" Yuya shouted as he jumped onto a blue platform and swiped an Action Card. "Action Spell, Mirror Barrier! I target Odd Eyes and my dragon can't be destroyed by card effects this turn!"

"I knew you'd do something like that which is why I wasn't choosing your dragon." Sora explained as he looked at Yuya's Pendulum Scale. "But I can't say the same thing about your other dragon! I chose to destroy Odd Eyes Arc Pendulum Dragon and Death-Toy Pot!" Sora yelled. The monster shot a blast of water from it's mouth that destroyed the dragon in the Pendulum Zone and the continuous trap.

"My Pendulum Scale...!" Yuya grunted.

"At this moment, Death-Toy Pot's effect activates! When destroyed, the ATK of one monster on my opponent's field is halved! So Odd Eyes ATK is halved!" Sora shouted as a black mist consumed the dragon.

Odd Eyes (2500/2000)-(1250/2000)

"Next, Cruel Whale's other effect activates! By sending a Death-Toy from my deck or Extra Deck to the graveyard, a Death-Toy Fusion on my field gains it's ATK! I'll send the 2400 ATK Death-Toy Saber Tiger and Cruel Whale gains 1200 ATK!" Sora yelled as the spirit of Saber Tiger appeared in front of the whale. The whale then sliced up the spirit and devoured it.

Cruel Whale (2600/2400)-(3800/2400)

"Battle! Go, Cruel Whale! Attack Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon! Aqua Edge Strike!" Sora commanded. His monster surrounded itself with water as it flew through the air.

"Trap Activate! Defense Draw! The damage is reduced to 0 and I draw a card!" Yuya yelled as he drew.

"But Odd Eyes will still be destroyed!"

"Odd Eyes!" Yuya yelled as the whale's blades slashed through his ace.

"I set a card facedown, turn end." Sora concluded as his monster powered down.

Cruel Whale (3800/2400)-(2600/2400)

"Yuya, you better start taking this seriously or I'll defeat you without hesitation!"

"What are you talking about?" Yuya questioned.

"It's almost as if you can't decide how to approach this duel! You can't decide whether to fight me like your friend or like an enemy!" Sora shouted at the teen.

"That's because I don't want to hurt you! I want us to be fighting together, not against each other!" Yuya shouted with an indecisive tone.

"Aww boohoo. Stop acting like a baby and fight me for real!" Sora demanded.

"...Fine. I'll bring you back by force!" Yuya glared at his opponent with a determined look in his eyes. "My turn, draw! I activate the Spell Card, Pot of Greed! I draw two cards! Next, with the Scale 8 Timegazer Magician, I set the Pendulum Scale!"

Stargazer 1 - 8 Timegazer

"With this, I can simultaneously summon monsters with levels 2 through 7 once more! Pendulum Summon! Come forth, my monsters!" Yuya pointed to the sky as five lights shot out of the portal. "From my hand, Entermate Trump Girl! Entermate Drop Gallop! And from my Extra Deck, Entermate Silver Claw! Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon! Odd Eyes Arc Pendulum Dragon!"

"Drop Gallop's effect! I draw for each Entermate Pendulum Summoned! I draw three cards! Trump Girl's effect activates! I can perform a Fusion Summon using this card and Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon! Wielder of bizarre arts! Become dazzling lights and dwell in the eyes of the dragon! Fusion Summon! Come forth! Level 8! Rune Eyes Pendulum Dragon!" Yuya shouted as his dragon appeared that instead of horns, had a small ring around it's head and a large ring attached to it's back.

Rune Eyes Pendulum Dragon (3000/2500) LVL: 8

"Entermate Springoose's effect in the graveyard activates! By banishing it, I can add Stargazer and Timegazer back to my hand!" Yuya explained as his Pendulum Scale returned to his hand.

"What are you planning?!" Sora yelled.

"With the Scale 4 Entermate Trump Witch, I set the Pendulum Scale!" Yuya shouted as the small witch clad in blue appeared.

Trump Witch 4 -

"Next, I release Drop Gallop to Advance Summom Entermate Flat Rat!" Yuya shouted as he summoned a blonde rat on topof a roller.

"Battle! Go, Rune Eyes! Attack Death-Toy Cruel Whale!" Yuya commanded.

"Cruel Whale's effect! By sending the 2000 ATK Death-Toy Chain Sheep to the graveyard, Cruel Whale gains 1000 ATK!"

Cruel Whale (2600/2400)-(3600/2400)

"At this moment, Flat Rat's effect activates! By releasing this card, a monster whose ATK was changed has it's ATK return to normal!" Yuya countered as his monster turned into yellow energy that shot into the Fusion.

Cruel Whale (3600/2400)-(2600/2400)

"What?!" Sora shouted.

"Go, Rune Eyes! Continuous Shiny Burst!" Yuya commanded as his dragon shot a blue stream of energy from it's ring.

"Trap Activate! Death-Toy Blockade! I target Cruel Whale and it's can't leave the field this turn up to the amount of Death-Toy monsters in the graveyard and this effect cannot be negated if I control only one monster! There are four! Meaning my monster can survive up to four times this turn!" Sora yelled as a barrier protected the monster from the blast. But, the blast reflected off the barrier and hit Sora head on.

"Damn..." Sora grunted.

"Rune Eyes can attack twice due to Trump Girl being under level 4! Go, Rune Eyes! Continuous Shiny Burst!"

"GAAH!"

SORA: 3300-2900 LP

"Odd Eyes Arc Penuldulum Dragon, attack Cruel Whale! Spiral Arc Burst!" Yuya shouted as his dragon shot a blue and red spiraling blast from it's mouth that hit the Fusion.

SORA: 2900-2800 LP

"Trump Witch's Pendulum Effect! I can use monsters on my field as Fusion materials for a Fusion Summon! I fuse Odd Eye Arc Pendulum Dragon and Entermate Silver Claw!" Yuya shouted as Trump Witch shot a magician blast with it's rod that created a fusion vortex.

"Tch..." Sora clicked his tongue.

"Dragon that creates the arc of light! Become one with the prideful silver wolf and give birth to a new power! Fusion Summon! Come forth! Level 8! Beast Eyes Pendulum Dragon!" Yuya shouted as a beastly version of his ace dragon appeared with a ferocious roar.

Beast Eyes Pendulum Dragon (3000/2500) LVL: 8

"Go, Beast Eyes! Attack Cruel Whale! Hell Dive Burst!" Yuya commanded as his dragon jumped up and shot a powerful blast of flames at the Fusion monster, causing Sora to jump back.

SORA: 2800-2400 LP

"Turn end!" Yuya shouted.

"Fighting me with Fusion, eh?" Sora remarked as he looked at Yuya's first two fusion monsters.

"Yeah! These cards represent the bonds created between you, Yuzu and I! By teaching her Fusion, I ended up gaining the method thanks to her!" Yuya shouted.

"Trying to make me all sentimental by using Fusion monsters won't work, Yuya! The effect of Death-Toy Blockade activates! I can draw a card for each time Cruel Whale was attacked! I draw four cards!" Sora yelled as he drew.

"A four card draw...!" Yuya said in a nervous tone.

"My turn! From my hand, I summon Furnimal Horse! Sora shouted as a pink stuffed horse with a blue mane appeared on Sora's field.

Furnimal Horse (1500/1100) LVL: 4

"Furnimal Horse's effect activates! I can special summon a Furnimal or Edge Imp monster from my hand or graveyard! Come on back, Edge Imp Scissors!"

Edge Imp Scissors (1200/800) LVL: 3

"Next, I activate the Spell Card, Furnimal Trade In! By releasing Furnimal Horse, I can special summon a Furnimal monster from my deck with an equal or lower level but with it's effects negated! Come out, Furnimal Bear!" Sora shouted as pink bear with two white wings appeared.

"Now I activate the Spell Card, Fusion! Claws of the demon! Fangs of the beast! Become one and reveal a new form and power! Fusion Summon! Appear! Level 6! Horrifying beast that shreds everything! Death-Toy Scissors Bear!" Sora shouted as his ace Fusion monster appeared which was a demonic pink plushy bear with scissors attached to it's stomach. It's also had a pair of glowing red eyes in it's mouth.

Death-Toy Scissor Bear (2200/1800) LVL: 6

"Now, Cruel Whale's effect activates! By sending the 2200 ATK Death-Toy Piton Kraken from my Extra Deck to the graveyard, Cruel Whale gains 1100 ATK!"

Cruel Whale (2600/2400)-(3700/2400)

"Quick Play Spell, Death-Toy Assist! When a Death-Toy monster on my field gains ATK, I can target another Death-Toy on my field and it gains ATK equal to the same amount until the end of the turn! So Scissor Bear gains 1100 ATK!" Sora exclaimed.

Scissor Bear (2200/1800)-(3300/1800)

"No way...!" Yuya uttered in horror.

"You're Fusions are nothing compared to mine! Battle! Cruel Whale, attack Rune Eyes Pendulum Dragon! Aqua Edge Strike!" Sora yelled as his monster slashed through the fusion dragon.

YUYA: 3700-3000 LP

"Go, Scissor Bear! Attack Beast Eyes Pendulum Dragon! Ferocious Scissor Slice!" Sora commanded as his ace jumped forward and sliced through Yuya's remaining dragon, causing another shockwave forced Yuya on a knee.

YUYA: 3000-2700 LP

"Ghh..." Yuya grunted as he struggled to get up.

"Now, Scissor Bear's effect activates! When this card destroys a monster by battle and sent to the graveyard, I can equip the destroyed monster to Scissor Bear! "Odd Eyes Vortex's effect activates! Once per turn, by shuffling a Pendulum Monster in my Extra Deck back into my deck, I can negate the activation of an effect! So by shuffling Trump Witch into my deck, Evasion's effect is negated! Go, Counter Storm!" Yuya yelled as a storm of wind destroyed the card.

"Tch...I banish Edge Imp Scythe's in my graveyard to activate it's effect! A Death-Toy on my field isn't destroyed!" Sora countered.

"But you still take the damage! And with Odd Eyes' effect, since it's battling a level 5 or higher monster, the damage is doubled! Reaction Force!"

"So that's why you thought out your weaker dragon...so you could inflict more damage with it's effect..." Sora realized.

Out of pure instinct to save his ace dragon, Yuya leaped high in the air and barely managed to grab an Action Card off the edge of a platform.

"Action Spell, Guard Cover! I switch the target of your monster's effect to Stargazer Magician!" Yuya shouted as the magician jumped in front of the red dragon.

"Tch...you'll still take 1200 damage!" Sora yelled as the magician was destroyed.

"GAH!" Yuya shouted as he was blown back by a shockwave.

"You're summoning...!" Yuya realized as his eyes widened.

"Unusual plaything possessed by demons! Destroy and root out the plebeians who dare rebel against you! FUSION SUMMON! Come forth and appear! Level 8! Chimeric fusion of all toys! Death-Toy Mad Chimera!" Sora yelled as the three-headed demonic fusion of weapons and plushies appeared on his field.

"I always wanted to use this monster against you in our previous duel, Yuya. I'll make it up to you by crushing you with this monster! Battle! Death-Toy Mad Chimera, attack Odd Eyes Vortex Dragon! Ultimate Chimeric Impact!" Sora commanded as his monster opened it's mouth and shot a large missile at the fusion dragon. The missile exploded on impact, causing an explosion that made Yuya wince in pain.

"There's no point to obtaining this dragon if I destroy it immediately after. Plus, Mad Chimera gains 300 ATK for each monster on my field that was special summoned through it's own effect!" Sora exclaimed as his monster powered up.

"I set a card facedown, turn end!" Sora concluded with a smirk.

"I'm not done fighting! My turn!" Yuya shouted as he drew. He then held the car high in the air as it glowed red. "By releasing a level 5 or higher monster on my field, I can Advance Summon this monster from my hand!"

Yuya's dragon was surrounded by a circle of flames. The flames then began to rise covering up the dragon and the form of a larger dragon could be seen inside the flames.

"Dragon with burning dichromatic eyes, evolve pass your limits and incinerate the darkness with your eternal flame! Come forth! Level 8! Odd Eyes Advance Dragon!" Yuya shouted as a larger winged dichromatic dragon with sharp red armor along it's body.

"Woah...not bad...!" Sora admitted.

"Advance Dragon's effect activates! When Advance Summoned, I can destroy a monster on your field and inflict damage equal to it's ATK! I destroy Mad Chimera! Go, Burning Assault!" Yuya yelled as his dragon's body was engulfed in a surge of flames.

"I won't lose so easily, Yuya! Counter Trap, Fusion Guard! The activation of an effect that would inflict damage is negated and then a Fusion Monster in my Extra Deck is randomly sent to my graveyard!" Sora exclaimed as the dragon's flames were put out. Death-Toy Scissor Wolf then popped out of his Extra Deck and then was sent to the graveyard.

"I'm not done! I activate the Spell Card, Fusion! I'm fusing Odd Eyes Advance Dragon and Entermate Rokudown! Dragon with burning dual colored eyes! Beast that survives the scorching lands! Become one and bring the dragonic beast that slashes through all! Fusion Summon! Come forth! Level 8! Entermate Odd Eyes Metal Claw!" Yuya shouted as the wolf and dragon hybrid appeared the had blue fur and red armor along with sharp razor claws.

"Go, Spiral Strike Slash!" Yuya commanded his newest Fusion. The monster roared as it's razor sharp claws ignited in glowing red energy. The Entermate slashed through the green dragon, destroying it.

"Turn End..." Yuya concluded, feeling agitated that he couldn't get rid of Chimera.

Sora shouted as the three monsters rose up into the fusion vortex.

Flying king of beast that rips everything to shreds! Death-Toy Wheel Saw Manticore!" Sora yelled as an upgraded version of Wheel Saw Lio appeared with sharp blades wings and a bladed tail.

Yuya shouted as the blue armored Xyz dragon appeared.

Yuya yelled as his dragon's eyes glowed while the dragon's burning aura intensified.

"Go, Spiral Inferno Burst!" Yuya shouted as his dragon fired a crimson burning blast that incinerated the Fusion, causing a powerful shockwave that caused Sora to get knocked off the platform he was on.

"End this, Odd Eyes Phantom Dragon! Spiral Flame of Fantasy!" Yuya yelled as his dragon fired a blue spiraling blast of flames at the blue haired boy.

Sora's eyes widened as he spotted an Action Card above him. Using his training, he swiftly jumped up high onto a platform and grabbed the card.

"Action Spell, Great Escape! The battle phase is forced to end!" Sora yelled.

"Odd Eyes Vortex Dragon's effect activates! By shuffling Entermate Silver Claw back into my Deck, your spell's effect is negated! Counter Storm!" Yuya countered.

"Alright! Now that your monster's effect is out of the way, I can do this! Trap Activate! Death-Toy Vengeance! I can target a Death-Toy monster in my graveyard that was sent there this turn and monsters with equal or less ATK on your field can't attack or activate their effects this turn! I target Mad Chimera! So since none of your dragon's ATKs surpass 2800, you can't do anything!" Sora countered as the blue flames dispersed.

"My dragons might not be strong enough...but with an Action Card...!" Yuya realized as he jumped up onto a platform in search of an Action Card.

It was a large possessed doll-like monster with long golden hair and a white outfit. The monster's skin was green and it's face looked horrifying.

"BATTLE! Nightmary, attack Odd Eyes Vortex Dragon! Hellish Ghoul Chaos!" Sora exclaimed at the top of his lungs. The spirits flew in front of the fusion and combined into a shinning orb of dark energy. The orb fired a black and purple blast of dark energy at the green dragon.

Knowing what was coming next, he jumped onto a platform in search of an Action Card.

"Odd Eyes Absolute Dragon's effect activates once more! By using an overlay unit, the attack is negated!" Yuya countered once more as a wall of ice blocked the attack.

As this happened, Sora grabbed an Action Card and hoped it would help him. But, he realized he couldn't use it yet and placed it in his hand.

"With five monsters on my field, I cannot summon an Odd Eyes monster to my field." Yuya explained.

"Even at my best, you still manage to give me a run for my money..." Sora said with a smirk as he looked at his two boss monsters.

"You've pushed me really far yourself, Sora." Yuya said with a smile as he looked as his Fusion, Synchro, Xyz, Pendulum, and Advance summoned dragons. At that very moment, it didn't feel like he was dueling an enemy. It felt like he was dueling a friend. And although he didn't want to admit it, Sora felt the same way.

"But...I am not done fighting yet! Quick Play Spell, Death-Toy Giga Pounce! At the end of the Battle Phase, I can destroy monsters on my opponents field for each Death-Toy monster on my field that failed to destroy a monster this turn!" Sora yelled, causing Yuya to snap back to reality. "Odd Eyes Meteorburst Dragon and Odd Eyes Vortex Dragon are destroyed!"

Two purple blasts shot out of the card and destroyed the Fusion and Synchro dragons, causing an explosion that knocked Yuya back.

"That was a good move...but I'm not done fighting!" Yuya said with a determined tone.

"That may be true, but this duel will come to an end soon enough. And the one who will come out on top will be me! I set a card facedown, turn end!" Sora concluded as his facedown materialized. "At this moment, since my turn is over, Dangerous Death-Toy Nightmary's effect ends."

Nightmary (6800/3000)-(2000/3000)

"Sora...you are my friend. That won't change, no matter what happens. The time we spent together in Standard meant something to you! I know you don't want to hurt me or Yuzu! You don't want to admit it, but you care about us! And we care about you! That's why...That's why I'll never stop fighting to bring you back to Yuzu and everyone else in Standard!" Yuya shouted at the Fusion user.

"Yuya...!" Sora uttered in shock that someone truly cared for him this much.

"Let's go, Sora! My turn, draw! I-!"

"Yuya...when I said this duel would come to an end soon...I was not kidding." Sora said as he looked down.

"What do you mean, Sora? Hey Sora!" Yuya shouted, trying to get the boy's attention.

'What is this pain I am feeling...why do I feel so much guilt and sadness...why don't I want to hurt him...why...can't I do this...?!' Sora thought to himself as he felt a tear fall down his face. 'Was Yuya right...do I truly care about them...is that why I can't let Yuzu be captured and be possessed by a parasite...is that why I joined Yuri to protect Yuya and Yuzu from him...is that why this is so hard for me to do this...!'

Sora lifted his shaking hand over his duel disk and looked up with a saddened expression. He didn't want to hurt his friend. But, he had to complete his mission.

With pain in his eyes, he tapped his duel disk's screen, causing his facedown to open up.

"...Trap Activate...Fusion Death Waltz...By targeting two Fusion monsters on my field...all monsters on your field whose ATKs are less than the combined ATKs of the targeted monsters are destroyed...and you take damage equal to the destroyed monster's ATKs...!" Sora explained with a saddened voice as his two monsters glowed.

"What?!"

"Since all three of your dragons have ATKs that are less than 4800 ATK...you will take 8300 points of damage and lose the duel..." Sora explained as Yuya's eyes widened in horror.

"No way...!" Yuya uttered as he stepped back. He watched as Sora's monsters roared in harmony, causing a wave of energy to be produced. The wave of energy collided with the three dragons, causing a powerful explosion that was heading directly at Yuya.

"I'm sorry...Yuya..." Sora said as he looked down in sadness as tears flowed down his face.

"Sora...I-!"

Yuya couldn't finish his sentence as his body was consumed by the explosion, causing him to fly through the air.

"GAAAAAAAAHHH!"

"I won...I beat Yuya...!" Sora uttered as the smoke cleared, revealing a seemingly unconscious Yuya.

"WHAT?!" Sora shouted in disbelief as he looked at Yuya's life points.

"Hehehe..." Yuya laughed as he picked his head off the ground.

"How?! How did you survive?!" Sora shouted in confusion and amazement.

"I used the Quick Play Spell, Odd Eyes Spirit Shield." Yuya explained as he began to get off of the ground while smirking. "When I would have taken damage that would reduce my life points to 0, this card reduced the damage by 1000 for each Dragon-type Odd Eyes monster in my graveyard! I currently have Odd Eyes Pendulum, Odd Eyes Arc Pendulum, Odd Eyes Saber, Odd Eyes Advance, Odd Eyes Vortex, Odd Eyes Meteorburst, Odd Eyes Absolute, and Odd Eyes Metal Claw! That's eight cards! Meaning, I reduced the damage by 8000 ATK!"

"You managed to survive even that...!" Sora uttered in awe.

"I'll admit, that was a sneaky move, Sora! I almost didn't have enough time to react and counter." Yuya said with a somewhat annoyed and impressed tone.

"Hehehehehe..." Sora laughed causing Yuya to look at his with a confused look.

"Eh? I thought you would be mad." Yuya said as the boy laughed.

"Hehehe...you truly are amazing, Yuya...!" Sora uttered as he wiped off the tears from his face. He then smirked at his opponent, seemingly happy that Yuya hadn't been defeated. It took him almost killing Yuya to realize there truly cared for his friend. "I still can't afford to lose! I'll give it everything I got!"

"Yeah! Let's go, Sora!" Yuya shouted with a smile.

Sora then smirked as he held out his Action Card that he had picked up earlier.

"I'll use this card right now! Action Spell, Pain Conversion! When an instance of damage is reduced, one monster on the field gains ATK equal to the amount the damage was reduced by until the end of the turn!" Sora shouted as Nightmary glowed.

"Wait, that means...!" Yuya trailed off.

"That's right! Nightmary gains 8000 ATK!" Sora yelled as his monster powered up.

Sora looked at Yuya's confident expression and sweat began to form on his forehead. 'There's no way he can actually win...'

"Now, with the Scale 3 Fate Magician and the Scale 8 Destiny Magician, I set the Pendulum Scale!" Yuya shouted as the two magicians carrying a sword and a shield respectively rose up into the blue columns.

"So that's your plan...!" Sora realized.

"By releasing a level 5 or higher monster on my field, I can Advance Summon Odd Eyes Advance Dragon from my hand! I release Stargazer Magician! Dragon with burning dichromatic eyes, evolve pass your limits and incinerate the darkness with your eternal flame! Come forth! Level 8! Odd Eyes Advance Dragon!" Yuya shouted as his sharp red armored dragon appeared.

"Advance Dragon's effect activates! When Advance Summoned, I can destroy a monster on your field and inflict damage equal to it's ATK! I target Dangerous Death-Toy Nightmary! Go, Burning Assault!" Yuya yelled as his dragon's body was engulfed in a surge of flameswhile flying towards the fusion.

"Not bad...but not good enough! Nightmary's effect activates! When this card is targeted by a card effect, by banishing a Death-Toy from my Extra Deck, that effect is negated! I banish Death-Toy Cruel Whale!" Sora shouted as the spirit of the whale blocked the dragon from hitting it's target.

"I didn't expect that..." Yuya admitted.

"You're big plan failed! With no more cards in your hand, and no way to summon another Extra Deck monster, you can't do anything! I've won!" Sora smirked.

"You're wrong...I still have a chance! Trap Activate! Pendulum Reborn! This card lets me revive a Pendulum monster in my face up Extra Deck or in my graveyard! Revive from my Extra Deck, the tuner monster, Entermate Odd Eyes Synchron!" Yuya yelled as his tuner monster appeared.

"Now, I tune my level 2 Odd Eyes Synchron to my level 6 Oafdragon Magician! "Hero's blade that sets forth unyielding light! Now and here, along with a flash, awaken! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 8! Magical Swordsman of Awakening! Enlightenment Paladin!" Yuya exclaimed as the magician-type warrior had light carrying two blades appeared by his side.

"But that monster is weak...how can it help you defeat my powerful monsters?" Sora asked.

"You're wrong! It can help me by giving me a chance!"

"A chance? What do you mean?" Sora questioned.

"I'll show you! Enlightenment Paladin's effect activates! When a Magician monster is used as Synchro Material, I can add one Spell Card from my graveyard to my hand!" Yuya explained. His magician held the handles of his blades together, causing a clock to appeared behind him. The clocks arrows began to spin counter clockwise, causing time to go backwards. "I add back Treasure from the Heavens back to my hand!"

"Eh?!"

"Then I activate it! Now since we both draw until we have six cards in our hands!" Yuya explained with a smirk.

"So you summoned that monster to get that Spell back in order to draw? Interesting! Let's go, Yuya!" Sora shouted.

"Yeah! Let's do it!"

"DRAW!" Both shouted as they drew.

"Alright, Sora! Let's end this!" Yuya shouted with a smirk.

"Oh yeah? Bring it!" Sora yelled.

"I activate the Spell Card, Monster Reborn! Revive, Odd Eyes Meteorburst Dragon!" Yuya shouted as the synchro dragon returned.

Odd Eyes Meteorburst Dragon (2500/2000) LVL: 7

"Next, Seasons Magician's effect! By discarding a monster in my hand, I can change the attribute of a monster in my field to the one of the discarded monster! I send Entermate Card Bird to the grave and I change Meteorburst Dragon to a WIND monster!" Yuya shouted as a green aura appeared around his Synchro monster.

"Huh? What's the point of that?" Sora wondered.

"You're about to find out! Magician of Fate that watches over all life! Change the course of fate with your divine light! Fate Magician's Pendulum Effect! While I have two monsters with the same level, I can target one of the monsters and that monster is now treated as a tuner!" Yuya shouted as the magician's shield glowed bright green. The magician threw the shield down towards Odd Eyes and the shield began to circle Odd Eyes creating a green ring around the dragon. The dragon roared as it was temporarily enveloped in a green aura .

"Eh?!"

"I'm not done yet! Magician of Destiny that watches over countless souls! Swing your sword and carve a new Future! Destiny Magician's Pendulum Effect! I can target one level 5 or higher tuner monster and make it's level 1!" Yuya shouted as the female magician's sword glowed brightly purple. The magician skillfuly slashed it's sword through the air creating a purple outline of a star. The magician slashed the star down the middle which caused it to turn into purple energy that flew down into Odd Eyes. The dragon roared as it temporarily gained a purple aura.

"I tune my level 1 Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon to my level 7 Odd Eyes Meteorburst Dragon! Dragon with dual colored eyes! Gain the shining wings of light! Soar to the summit of supremacy! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 8! Dragon with piercing eyes of breakthrough! Supreme King White Dragon - Odd Eyes Wing Dragon!" Yuya shouted as his hybrid dragon with white and black armor with sharp blue crystals appeared with a loud roar.

"A Synchro Pendulum monster?! Last time we dueled, you brought out a Xyz Pendulum...and now this?!" Sora said in awe.

"Let's go, Sora! Odd Eyes Wing Dragon's effect activates! Once per turn, I can target a monster on my opponent's field and all monsters on my opponent's field are destroyed! And then, Odd Eyes Wing Dragon gains ATK equal to the destroyed target's ATK! I target Mad Chimera! Dichroic Destruction!" Yuya exclaimed. The dragon shot a powerful white hurricane of energy from it's wings at the two fusion monsters.

"Targeting Mad Chimera so I can't counter with Nightmary...clever. But I can't afford to lose here, Yuya! I banish Death-Toy Blockade to activate it's effect! By banishing this card, the Death-Toy on my field with the lowest original ATK can't be destroyed this turn! Since Nightmary's original ATK is 2000, it isn't destroyed!" Sora shouted as a barrier protected the Fusion.

"But Mad Chimera is destroyed and Odd Eyes Wing Dragon gains 7800 ATK!" Yuya yelled as his dragon powered up.

"It stronger than Nightmary...!" Sora uttered in shock.

"BATTLE! Odd Eyes Wing Dragon, attack Dangerous Death-Toy Nightmary! Storming Attack - STRIKE SLASHER!" Yuya yelled. The dragon's crystal began glowing brightly causing the dragon to be surrounded by a bright blue energy. The dragon whirled as it flew up in the air and then dove down at even higher speeds at the doll-like fiend.

"You...aren't the only one who can escape a sure-kill attack! Trap Activate! Furnimal Mania! By releasing a Fusion Monster on my field, I can summon a Furnimal Token for every 2 levels the released monster had! I release the Level 10 Nightmary to summon five Furnimal Tokens!" Sora yelled as the Fusion monster dissolved and five small stuffed bears appeared.

"Go, Seasons Magician! Enlightenment Paladin! Odd Eyes Advance Dragon, attack three of his tokens!" Yuya yelled. The magician shot a colorful blast of magic from it's rod that obliterated a token. The swordsman jumped up and slashed through a token. And the dragon shot a fiery attack from it's mouth the incinerated a token.

"Tch..." Sora clicked his tongue as he struggled to keep his footing from the shockwaves.

"I'm not done! Odd Eyes Advance Dragon's other effect activates! Since my dragon destroyed a monster by battle, I can special summon a level 5 or higher monster from my graveyard! Revive, Odd Eyes Vortex Dragon!" Yuya shouted as the green dragon returned.

"Odd Eyes Vortex Dragon attack! Spiral Storm Burst!" Yuya yelled as his dragon shot a spiraling green blast from it's mouth the destroyed the remaining token.

"Damn..." Sora grunted, not expecting all of his tokens to be taken out.

"I set one card facedown, turn end." Yuya concluded before looking up at Sora.

"Sora...Do you feel it?" Yuya questioned.

"Huh? Feel what?" Sora asked.

"You are having fun! You are genuinely enjoying this duel!" Yuya shouted.

"Even from the beginning, your intentions weren't to crush me in this duel unlike every other Academia agent and you know it!" Yuya yelled, making the boy look down.

"That might be true...but...I'm still loyal to Academia-!"

"Stop lying!" Yuya shouted, cutting Sora off. "I can tell what you are feeling. You want to keep the ones that you care about safe...but you don't want to abandon your goals and ideals...I get that because I feel the same way..."

"You do...?" Sora asked.

Yuya grunted as he remembered his conversations between Jack Atlas and Reiji earlier before speaking.

"You can't dedicate your life to one idea...like a utopia world...or a world where everyone smiles...you have to be your own person! You have to make your own decisions! You have to carve out your own path in life!" Yuya yelled causing something to break within Sora's mind.

Sora looked down as tears formed in his eyes. Despite everything he went through at Academia, he still couldn't deny what Yuya was saying. He truly wanted to protect him and Yuzu. And though he didn't want to admit it, he would go against Academia's wishes to protect them if he absolutely had to.

"Heh...you're an interesting guy...you know that?" Sora said as he wiped off the tears in his eyes and look up at his opponent and smirked.

"Sora...!" Yuya said with a smile.

"We still have a duel to continue, right? I'm ending this right now! My turn, draw!" Sora shouted as he drew and eyed the card he drew.

"Give me everything you got, Sora!" Yuya shouted.

"Let's go! Fusion Substitute's effect in my graveyard activates! By banishing this card, I can return a Fusion Monster to Extra Deck and I draw a card! I return Dangerous Death-Toy Nightmary-!"

"You're trying to recycle Nightmary so you can bring it out again, aren't you! I won't let that happen! Odd Eyes Vortex Dragon's effect activates! I shuffle Entermate Odd Eyes Synchron into the deck to negate that effect! Counter Storm!" Yuya countered.

"Heh...I'm not done! I activate the Continuous Spell, Toy Vendor! Once per turn, I can discard one card from my hand to draw a card! And if it is a level 4 or lower monster, I can special summon it! I discard a card and I draw!" Sora shouted as he drew and looked at his card. "Alright! I drew Edge Imp Tomahawk! Therefore, I get to summon it!"

"Let's have some fun, shall we? I activate the Spell Card, Terrifying Fusion! This card lets me Fusion Summon a Death-Toy monster using monsters from my hand and field! I fuse Edge Imp Tomahawk with Furnimal Owl Demonic Claws! Eyes of the void! Become one and cause hell with your dark power! Fusion Summon! Come forth! Level 8! Death-Toy Daredevil!" Sora yelled as a new Fusion appeared. The monster was a plushy-like demon with red and black skin and carried a silver pitchfork.

"Woah...!" Yuya uttered in awe.

"All it takes to finish you off is one attack! I'm winning this turn! Battle! Daredevil, attack Odd Eyes Vortex Dragon! Fiendish Thrust!" Sora yelled. The demon leaped forward and thrusted it's weapon at the green dragon.

Though injured from Sora's trap from earlier, Yuya jumped upwards onto a Platform and grabbed an Action Card.

"Action Spell, Evasion! The attack is negated!"

"Not a chance! Quick Play Spell, Death-Toy Slasher! While I control a Death-Toy, the activation of a Spell or Trap is negated!" Sora countered.

"In that case, Trap Activate! Last Minute Cancel! All my monsters are switched to defense mode!"

"Attack Odd Eyes Wing Dragon! Fiendish Thrust!" Sora exclaimed as his monster leaped forward and thrusted it's weapon through the hybrid dragon, causing a huge explosion that caused Yuya to lose his footing.

"But I don't take any damage since my monster is in defense mode!" Yuya shouted.

"That's where you are wrong! When Daredevil destroys a monster...it inflicts 1000 points of damage to you!" Sora shouted with a smirk.

"W-What?!" Yuya shouted in shock.

"This is the end! Go, HELL BLAZER!" Sora yelled. The fiend aimed it's pitchfork at it's target as it glowed red. A blast of red energy shot out of the tip of the weapon and directly at Yuya.

"Trap Activate! Magician's Shield! By releasing one Pendulum Magician on my field, any effect damage I would take that is equal to or lower than that monster's ATK is reduced to 0 until the end of the turn! Seasons Magician's ATK is 1100! That means the 1000 damage I would take is reduced to 0!" Yuya yelled as his magician bursted into particles that reformed as a barrier that blocked Yuya from being hit by the blast.

"How persistent...but I can still destroy your other monsters! Go, Daredevil! Attack Odd Eyes Advance Dragon! Fiendish Thrust!" Sora shouted as his fiend stabbed the dragon with it's weapon.

"I won't take any effect damage!" Yuya yelled.

"Go, Daredevil! Attack Enlightenment Paladin! Fiendish Thrust!" Sora commanded as the fiend charged forward and stabbed through the swordsman.

"Ghh...!" Yuya grunted.

"Turn end!" Sora concluded with a smirk as his monster returned to his side.

"...Not bad, Sora..." Yuya uttered with a smile.

"Let's go, Yuya!" Sora shouted at his friend with a smirk.

"Right, let's go! This is the final draw! My turn...draw!" Yuya shouted as he dramatically drew, creating a trail of light. "Alright! With the set scale-!"

"No way I'll let you do that! Trap Activate! Fusion Lightning! A Spell/Trap on your field is destroyed for each Fusion monster on my field! I chose to destroy Fate Magician!" Sora shouted as a blast of Lightning at the magician.

"Odd Eyes Vortex Dragon's effect activates! I shuffle Seasons Magician into my deck-!"

"Action Spell, Counter Shock! " Sora countered.

"What?!" Yuya shouted as his magician was obliterated.

"I told you I wouldn't lose to you again!" Sora yelled.

"...I'm not done just yet, Sora!" Yuya smiled.

"With the Scale 6 Entermate Lizardraw, I set the Pendulum Scale!" Yuya shouted as the orange lizard with a red outfit appeared in the blue column.

I banish the level 8 Beast Eyes Pendulum Dragon! Revive, Rune Eyes Pendulum Dragon!" Yuya shouted as his first fusion monster returned to the field.

"So you are planning on going for mutual destruction and attacking directly...heheheHAHAHA!" Sora laughed.

"Why are you laughing?" Yuya questioned.

"Because when Daredevil is destroyed...YOU TAKE 500 POINTS OF DAMAGE FOR EVERY DEATH-TOY IN MY GRAVEYARD!" Sora shouted with a victorious smile.

"In that case...I'll finish this duel in one blow!" Yuya shouted with a smile, shocking Sora.

"WHAT?!"

"Lizardraw's effect activates! By shuffling this card back into the deck, I draw a card!" Yuya shouted as he drew and held the card high in the air. He glanced at his card and grinned. "Let's go, I activate the Spell Card, Odd Eyes Soul Force! I can target a monster on my field summoned from the Extra Deck and then I can target an Odd Eyes monster on my field! Then, I can equip the Odd Eyes monster on my field to that monster! Then, the monster gains half of the ATK of the Odd Eyes monster equipped to it!"

"No way...!"

"I equip Odd Eyes Rebellion Dragon to Rune Eyes Pendulum Dragon! Therefore, Rune Eyes gains 1500 ATK!" Yuya shouted. The Xyz Pendulum dragon turned into dark energy that into the Fusion. Rune Eyes roared as it gained a black and purple aura while it powered up.

Rune Eyes (3000/2500)-(4500/2500)

"Impossible...this can't be...not again...!" Sora uttered as he stepped back with a horrified look in his eyes.

"This dragon is the first Fusion monster I could call upon! This dragon represents the bonds between us and Yuzu!" Yuya shouted.

"Yuzu...!" Sora trailed off, thinking about the fun times he had teaching the girl.

"And with the strength of our friendship, I'll defeat you and free you from Academia! BATTLE! Rune Eyes Pendulum Dragon, attack Death-Toy Daredevil! END THIS DUEL!" Yuya shouted.

The dragon roared as it jumped up in the air. The spirit of Odd Eyes Rebellion appeared behind the dragon as it charged a powerful attack at the top of it's ring.

"Damn it..." Sora uttered as he looked down with a saddened expression.

He looked at the Fusion dragon remembered all the time he spent in Standard. He remembered the first time he saved Yuya from Sawatari and his goons. He remembered having a blast dueling against Yuya for the first time. He remembered the feeling of being Yuzu's teacher and the proud sensation he felt when Yuzu pulled off her first Fusion Summon. He remembered the kindness Shuzo, the kids, and Yoko showed him.

But as he thought about everything, a smile began to form on his face. The smile began than turned into a laugh. Not a maniacal laugh, but a laugh of enjoyment.

"Hahaha! This is so much fun!" Sora shouted, making Yuya smile. "Now come, Yuya! Give me everything you got!"

"Right, let's go! REBELLIOUS SHINY BURST!" Yuya roared as his dragon shot a spiraling purple and cyan blast from the top of it's ring.

The blast flew through the air and obliterated the Fusion monster, causing Sora to fly through the air. The boy smiled as he hit the ground on his back.

SORA: 100-0 LP

"Sora? Are you ok?!" Yuyashouted as he ran up to his friend.

"I'm ok..." Sora grunted as he got back on his feet.

"Sora...do you understand?" Yuya asked.

"Yeah...I haven't figured out all of what I'm going to do...but I won't let Academia touch you or Yuzu!" Sora shouted, making Yuya smile.

"Good...I'm glad..." Yuya uttered in a relieved and tired tone.

Before he could say anything, his duel disk began ringing. Yuya tapped his duel disk and Reiji appeared on his screen.

"Yuya, you need to get out of there now. Roget's men are coming." Reiji informed the boy.

"Eh?" Yuya said in a surprised tone, almost forgetting about the entire situation. "Sora, what about you?"

"I'll be fine. I can get out undetected." Sora told his friend.

"But what will you do?! You can't go back to Academia's side!" Yuya shouted with a worried tone.

"Don't worry, Yuya. I'll be fine." Sora told him with a smile before turning to run off.

"Wait, Sora!" Yuya shouted.

"What?" Sora asked.

"Be careful, please." Yuya said.

"Right." Sora nodded. But before running off, he turned back to his friend. "Thank you for everything, Yuya."

Before the tomato haired boy could respond, Sora quickly ran off.

"Sora..."

"Yuya, I updated your map so you have a clear path back to your room.Get going." Reiji told the pendulum duelist.

"Right." Yuya said before running off while looking at his duel screen.

A little while later, with Team Wings of Victory

"He's been gone for too long." Serena said with a worried tone.

"Relax, Serena. I'm sure Yuya is fine." Crow told the indigo haired girl.

Both turned their heads to the door as it opened, revealing an extremely tired Yuya.

"Yuya!" Serena gasped as she ran over to the boy.

"Hey guys..." Yuya uttered as he weakly walked in.

"What happened, kid?" Crow asked.

"Well..." Yuya started.

The boy told his teammates the whole story, shocking the two.

"So Reiji knew Dennis was a spy?!" Serena shouted in an enraged tone.

"Yeah, but he couldn't expose him because he was trying to gain more information about why Academia are capturing the girls that look like you." Yuya explained.

"I knew that bastard was hiding something during our duel. I bet he was just trying to stall so the Obelisk Force could capture Yuzu and I!" Serena angrily shouted.

"That could be true...but on the bright side, I think Sora is on our side now." Yuya explained.

"You think or you know?" Crow asked.

"...I believe that Sora will do the right thing in the end." Yuya said in a confident tone.

"I believe you. Hopefully your friend will help us when the fight comes." Crow said.

"...How did you do it?" Serena asked while looking down.

"What do you mean?" Yuya asked as he turned to the girl.

"How did you manage to turn an agent of Academia?" Serena questioned.

"Well...I reminded him of our past and how much we all cared for him. I helped him realize that our bond was stronger than his loyalty to Academia." Yuya explained.

Serena's eyes twitched as she heard this before looking down.

"I see..."

"What's wrong, Serena?" Yuya asked.

"It's nothing...we should all rest up for tomorrow." Serena said as she walked over to her bed.

"She's right. Since the next round is only four matches, all of the duels will take place tomorrow. So we are guaranteed to duel tomorrow." Crow explained.

"I'm exhausted anyways, so that's probably a good idea." Yuya said as he yawned.

A little while later

As Yuya and Crow slept, Serena laid awake in her bed, staring at the ceiling. She was to deep in her thoughts to realize that she probably needed to get some sleep.

As she laid there, she thought about what Yuya had said about how he turned Sora. Reminding him of their past and making him realize their powerful bond...something she wished she could do to the person she wanted to save.

Could she really do it? Could she remind him of their friendship? Could she prove to him that the bond they once had was stronger than his lust for destruction caused by his past?

Or maybe she was getting to in over her head. Was he really too far gone? Was he really past the point of no return yet? Was he truly beyond saving?

All of these back and forth thoughts swirled in her head as she motionlessly laid in her bed.

"...Can I really save him...?" She uttered.

With Yuri

Yuri was sitting at the top of a nearby building, staring at the beautiful city lights that glowed brightly in the night.

As he stared at the lights, he grabbed his deck and looked at it, with the top card being his ace monster, Starve Venom Fusion Dragon.

"I can feel your cravings for battle getting stronger...Starve Venom. Don't worry, the battle will begin in a matter of time. We'll make our move soon enough." Yuri said, talking to the card.

"...Yuri?" Sora said from behind, causing Yuri to get slightly startled. Yuri looked back and saw Sora, causing him to drop his alarmed expression.

"Hey Partner. I was afraid something bad happened due to you taking so long. How'd it go?" Yuri asked, regaining his composure while shoving his card back into his pocket.

"The mission was a success. Dennis was retrieved." Sora explained.

"You look like you had to put up somewhat of a fight judging by your scratches. Were they from a duel?" Yuri said as he looked at the damage caused by Sora's previous duel.

"I-It's nothing. Just some of the security guys put a tiny bit of a fight with their fists is all." Sora nervously explained.

"I see...well, we better get some rest." Yuri said with a grin. He tapped a button on his duel disk and a sleeping bag materialized in front of him.

"You brought a sleeping bag?!" Sora said in a jealous tone.

"Hehehe~." Yuri laughed. "It's no big deal. We need to take turns staying on watch. You can use it when it's your time to sleep."

"Really? Thanks, Yuri." Sora said in a surprised tone.

"No problem, Partner~. But, I'm sleeping first. Good night." Yuri said as he took the bag to the other side of the roof.

Sora sat down at the edge of the roof and looked up into the night sky. He clutched his fist and held it to his heart before quietly speaking to himself.

"Yuya...Yuzu...I'll keep you safe, no matter what...!"

The next day, at the stadium

"Hey everyone! Welcome back to Day 3 of the Friendship Cup! Remember, we are all friends!" Melissa shouted to the crowd.

"We are all friends!" The crow repeated.

"Now, let's get to what you are all truly waiting for! The...matchups!" Melissa yelled as she pointed to a large holographic screen that lists the matchups of the second round.

Match 1: Team Magnetic Swords vs Team Devastation

Match 2: Team Wings of Victory vs Team Taiyou

Match 3: Team Dark Hunters vs Team Blades of Bravery

Match 4: Team United Hope vs Team Unicorn

"Now, let's get the second round started!"

Hey guys, that sure was a fun chapter to write. I'm really happy about the way that duel turned out and I hope you all enjoyed this break between rounds.

Thanks to my pal bladeWriterfor letting me use some of his custom cards such as Death-Toy Chain Rat, Death-Toy Wheel Saw Manticore, Furnimal Horse, and Death-Toy Parts. Forgive me if I failed to mention any of the other ones.

Well, I surprisingly don't have a ton to say. I was really inspired while writing this chapter and it's one of my favorite duels. And while Sora is still trying to figure out his relationship with Academia, his main goal is to protect his friends. Not the Lancers yet, but his friends.

The stuff with Serena is definitely building up to an ACTUAL backstory between her and Yuri. All will be explained soon enough.

Also, matchups are out! Let me know what y'all think about them!

And I'm thinking about releasing a sort of preview for the future parts for the 1 year anniversary. We'll see.
