Hey guys! For those who didn't see the update I recently posted, updates will be coming out a lot quicker now that I am out of school in a few weeks.
This chapter will start after the last scene where Serena was thinking about Yuri because I want to expand on that a little more. Hope you enjoy!
The previous night, with Team United Hope
Serena was still lying in her bed after thinking about her corrupt friend. She thought about how Yuya had gotten through to Sora and wondered if she could do the same with her friend.
But then she started to doubt herself. She thought about how Yuya showed his friend the light through his dueling. And it was very obvious that both her and Yuya's dueling were very different from each other.
Serena's dueling was more of a straightforward battle heavy style. She normal used similar strategies to continuously attack with her fusion monsters in order to over power her opponent.
On the other hand, Yuya had a constantly adapting style. He had many different strategies and different monster that he could call out to go against any situation he was up against. He used a variety of different summoning methods with his main being Pendulum summoning that fueled his other methods.
But it was more than just their dueling style. Yuya dueled to bring smiles and happiness to others. Serena dueled...to simply defeat her opponent. She really didn't care for flashiness or the people spectating. She only cared for winning and defeating who ever got in her way to prove her strength.
Maybe that's why she didn't think she could bring her friend back to the way he once was.
She turned in her bed and looked at Yuya who was sleeping in his bed.
"Yuri..."
"S...Serena...?" Yuya uttered as he opened his eyes and saw Serena staring right at him.
"Did I wake you? Sorry." Serena said with a bit of embarrassment.
"I-It's fine." Yuya said before yawning. "So, why are you still awake? You don't look like you have slept at all."
"I've just been...thinking." Serena answered.
Yuya got up on his bed and sat. "Do you want to talk about it?"
"...Talk?" Serena muttered.
"Of course. We're friends after all." Yuya said with a smile.
Serena looked curiously at Yuya before sitting up in her bed.
"Can I ask you a question?" Serena asked.
"Of course." Yuya nodded.
"Why do you duel to make people smile?" Serena questioned. Yuya looked surprised when he heard the question but then smiled.
"My dad...before he disappeared...he dueled to bring smiles to everyone who watched. He vowed to spread happiness and enjoyment through his Entertainment Dueling. I want to be like him. I want to spread smiles through my dueling." Yuya explained.
"That's nice Yuya...but how can you make people like Academia smile?" Serena asked.
"I honestly don't know...but I have to understand my opponent and their dueling first." Yuya explained.
"Understanding your opponent..." Serena muttered.
"I'm not sure if I can...but I have to try. Dueling isn't meant for chaos and destruction. It's meant for having fun. And if I can make the people watching smile, then I can help put this war to an end. That's what I'm fighting for." Yuya said with a determined look.
"I see..." Serena uttered.
"Is there a reason you asked...?" Yuya asked, trying to get the girl to open up.
"I-" Serena started before stopping and looking down. She honestly didn't know how Yuya would react if she told him. "...I have a friend...he was once like you. He loved dueling and enjoyed it...but things changed...and he isn't like that anymore..."
"I'm sorry about your friend..." Yuya said.
"Thanks." Serena said with a saddened tone. She had never really opened up to anyone.
"So, you want to save your friend?" Yuya asked.
"I...don't know...if that's even possible..." Serena uttered.
"Even if it feels impossible...you can still try. If you stay true to yourself and duel with all of your heart, you can succeed." Yuya said with a smile.
"Staying true to myself...and dueling with all of my heart..." Serena uttered.
"You kids...better go to sleep...we gotta big day tomorrow..." Crow groaned while half asleep.
"I guess we should get to sleep." Serena said with a half-smile.
"Yeah. Good night, Serena." Yuya said before getting back in his bed.
"Good night, Yuya." Serena said as she did the same.
With Team Wings of Victory
Despite the time, Yugo was sitting in his bed with his deck laid out across his bed.
"Maybe if I use this card with this card...I could-"
"For the love of god...please go to sleep!" Yuzu growled as she stuffed her face into her pillow, trying to ignore Yugo's strategizing.
"Sorry Yuzu, but I have to be super prepared. I have a good feeling that I'm going to be out there dueling tomorrow. I can't let you and Kurosaki pull all the weight again like last time." Yugo explained.
"I'm sure you would have won the duel for us if Kurosaki lost against Dennis." Yuzu said.
"Maybe..." Yugo nervously said as he thought about Dennis' menacing grin with his gigantic Fusion monster.
"Well at least try to get some sleep, ok?" Yuzu said.
"Yeah..." Yugo said as he gathered his deck and put it in the side table for getting in his bed.
Before closing her eyes, Yuzu looked at Kurosaki's empty bed, causing her to be worried. Before he passed out, she saw the good and caring side of Shun. He truly cared about his sister, and not having her in his life is the reason why he is so violent.
She then looked at Yugo, who was still too excited to go to sleep. She thought about how anxious Yugo was to complete his dream of becoming the Duel King for Rinso they can have a happy life together.
She then thought about how lucky she was to not end up like Rin and Ruri. She looked at her cracked bracelet with a determined look.

Yuya stands atop a hill overlooking Miami City, his jacket blowing in the wind as a Leo Corporation jet flies past LDS. Yuto is shown in front of the Duel Sanctuary, gazing at the ruined Heartland.
(It's Time To Learn That Pain Is Gain)
Yugo is riding his D-Wheel down a Duel Lane at night, the neon signs and billboards of City aglow with life as he passes by. Out on a boat in the sea, Yuri faces Academia, arms visibly crossed.

Odd-Eyes' attack fades, revealing the Four Dimensions. The "Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V" logo appears, the words "Altered Destiny" beneath it. Yuya's Pendulum appears in the background, swinging back and forth before the logo fades. Zoom in on the Standard Dimension to see Yuya walking to You Show Duel School.
I Gotta Crush and Paint Away
The Lancers appear standing in front of the LDS logo. From left to right; Hokuto, Masumi, Yaiba stand back-to-back, ready for battle, Yaiba holding his signature wooden katana over his shoulder.
The Anguish Of My Past For Sake Of My Future
Sawatari stands self-assure with a proud grin on his face. Yugo leans on his D-Wheel, sporting a big friendly grin. Serena holds herself ready for battle, the faintest hint of longingness on her face.
Until My Life Comes To An End
Yuya and Yuzu stand close to each other, ready to face the coming battles together. Gongenzaka stands behind of the Standard Pair, arms folded with a steadfast gaze.
I'm Gonna Fight To Tear Apart That Destiny
Yuto stands back-to-back with Kurosaki, who bears a stoic and battle-hardened scowl. Roy is holding up his Duel Disk, trying to look intimidating, failing because he's next to Kurosaki.
(Ahh-Ahh)
Tsukkikage kneels in front of the Akabas, holding an arm out in front of them in a declaration of protection. Reira hides behind Reiji.
Break Out And Start A Revolution
Rightmost is Sora, who is consumed by the shadow and looking away from the group. But two hands reach out to him, causing him to turn around towards the light.
Until You Find The Answer
Cut to the Standard, Xyz and Synchro counterparts together on a grassy hill, gazing at the starry night sky. Yuzu and Ruri rest their heads on Yuya and Yuto's shoulders respectively, who in turn drape an arm around them. Rin does the same with Yugo, who blushes redder than Yuya's hair. It is a touching scene….
You're Looking For!
… the screen falls to reveal the Fusion Counterparts falling into darkness. Yuri grins wickedly as his eyes are whited out by a violet glow. Behind him is the shadow of an older boy, face obscured with a monstruous, inhuman smile on his face. Above him, Serena holds out her hand, desperately trying to reach her former friend. The gem on her bracelet shines like a star, cutting through the miasma that surrounds them. Behind her is the golden spirit of an older girl, trying to reach out to the figure behind Yuri as tears flow. The older teens vanish as the Fusion Counterparts' silhouettes turn to black and a large, sinister pair of draconic eyes open wide behind them.
I'll Challenge All My Limits
Crow, Kiryu, the Black Rose Witch, and Jack race in a line on the highway and call forth their dragons; Black-Feather, Infernity Void, Black Rose, and Red Daemon's.
Knowing This Could Be My Only Chance Now
Yuzu and Serena stand together striking Fusion and Pendulum summoning poses respectively. On the right side of the screen behind Yuzu is Bloom Diva, Bloom Lorin, and Prodigy Mozart. On the left side of the screen behind Serena was Cat Dancer, Panther Dancer and Lio Dancer.
To Overcome This Fate That's Come Over Me
On his D-Wheel, Yuya extends his arm outwards as Enlightenment Paladin begins to glow and evolves into a blue and golden warrior with a large sword. The swordsman hovers over Yuya with Odd Eyes Rebellion on it's right and Odd Eyes Wing on it's left.
The Ending Of This Story
Yuri stands in a dark tunnel with a monstrous grin with Starve Venom and Greedy Venom behind him. To his sides are Ruri and Rin with soulless eyes. Behind the girls are Independent Nightingale and Crystal Bell respectively.
I Will Hold It Close As I Wonder So Aimlessly
Yuto and Yugo closely race next to each other on the highway as Dark Rebellion and Clear Wing flew through the sky. Yuto slaps a card on his duel disk causing Dark Rebellion to be consumed by flames and evolve into Dark Rebellion Apocalypse. Yugo throws a card on his duel disk and reaches his hand out to the sky as Clear Wing shined and evolved into Crystal Wing. The two dragons fly at each other full force as and smash their heads against each other as Yuto and Yugo yell with glowing indigo and cyan eyes.
Into This New World
The scene changes to Yuya standing beneath a blue landscape. A pendulum swings above him, draw arcs of light across the sky. Yusho's face is shown over the center of the arcs, smiling down at his son with pride.
The Game Has Only Just Begun
Yuya reaches his hand out as the image of his father fades. He is shown to have a look of surprise on his face...
I Can See It In Your Eyes!
…which quickly turns into a triumphant smile!
(Instrumental)
The screen flashes to Reiji with D/D/D Hell Armageddon on his field sternly standing in front of the laughing Hell Kaiser with the roaring Cyber End Dragon. The scene changes to a worn out Serena and Yuzu kneeling in front of the soulless Rin and Ruri, with the silhouette of Parasite Fusioner behind them. The scene shifts again to Yuya, Yuto, Yugo, and Yuri standing across from each other with glowing eyes and spiked up hair as their dragons roared. The four dragons crash against each other causing a bright light to engulf the screen. The song ends with a shot of the Lancers on the highway in the Synchro Dimension looking up at the screen with the three Yu-boys in the center, each sharing a look of determination.
The next morning at the Stadium
"Hey everyone! Welcome back to Day 3 of the Friendship Cup! Remember, we are all friends!" Melissa shouted to the crowd.
"We are all friends!" The crowd repeated.
"Now, let's get to what you are all truly waiting for! The...matchups!" Melissa yelled as she pointed to a large holographic screen that lists the matchups of the second round.
Match 1: Team Magnetic Swords vs Team Devastation
Match 2: Team Wings of Victory vs Team Taiyo
Match 3: Team Dark Hunters vs Team Blades of Bravery
Match 4: Team United Hope vs Team Unicorn
"Now, let's get the second round started! Team Devastation and Team Magnetic Stars will now be facing off right now!" Melissa shouted.
"We are up against that team with the lady who swept Shinji's team..." Roy said with a nervous tone.
"Who knows how powerful the rest of that team is..." Hokuto said in a similar tone.
"Hey, where's your confidence?! We are Lancers! We are duel soldiers! We can win against those guys for sure! Especially with me on our team!" Sawatari said, glowing with pride as he stood tall.
"I guess your right." Roy said, standing up.
"Yeah! Let's kick their asses!" Hokuto said as he stood up with his team.
Later
In their D-Wheel outfits, the three walked out into the pit while looking at the empty pit of the other team.
"Where are they?" Hokuto questioned.
"It's just like their last duel..." Roy noticed.
"If they want to underestimate us, that's fine. It'll make our jobs to beat them much easier." Sawatari said.
"I'll go first again." Roy said in a determined tone.
"Go for it!" Hokuto nodded.
Roy put his helmet on and hopped on his D-Wheel before driving off.
"As you all know, a good portion of the track in the stadium has been destroyed as you can see. So from here on out, the matches will be held outside the duel palace!" Melissa exclaimed from her helicopter as poles shot out of the water surrounding the stadium. The poles folded into highways outside the stadium.
"Woah!" Yugo gasped.
"Due to this change, the duelist who passes through the duel palace gate first will take the first turn!" Melissa explained. "Like the previous duel, Roy Jishaku is starting off for Team Magnetic Stars!"
"Now where's my opponent..." Roy wondered at the starting line.
"I'm right here!"
Roy looked back to see a dark blue D-Wheel with black lines running through it burst out of the tunnel. A man with long silver hair and a black D-Wheel suit pulled up to the starting line.
"I-It's Kiryu Kyosuke! The Death God from Team Devastation is now on the track! Amazing!" Melissa said like a fan girl.
"The guy that dueled Yuto from before...he must be really strong..." Roy nervously said under his breath.
"I solely represent Team Devastation. If I am not satisfied with your dueling, the consequences will be brutal! Now prepare to face the judgement of the Death God!" Kiryu yelled as he pointed at Roy.
"In that case, I hope you will be satisfied with defeat!" Roy countered.
"Let's get this show on the road! Action Field On! Field Spell, Crossover Accel activate!" Melissa shouted as a sphere of cards bursted, causing them to spread all through out the track.
DUEL MODE: ON! AUTOPILOT, STAND BY!
At the same time, both duelist's duel disk blades activated and a holographic screen with a countdown starting at 3 appeared in front of the two riders.

"RIDING DUEL...ACCELERATION!"

As the two raced for the gate, Kiryu easily cut in front of Roy, causing sparks to fly through the air, blinding Roy. Kiryu laughed as Roy slowed down, allowing the Death God to easily pass the gate first and both raced out onto the highway.
"And with that, the former champion Kiryu Kyosuke is taking the first turn!" Melissa yelled.
"How dirty...!" Roy grunted.
"I'm taking the first turn! From my hand, I summon Infernity Reloader!" Kiryu yelled as a fiend with a gun as it's body appeared.

"I set a card facedown, turn end." Kiryu concluded.
"Let's go! My turn! I activate the Spell Card, Double Summon! This card lets me Normal Summon an additional time this turn! From my hand, I summon Delta the Magnet Warrior!" Roy yelled as a blue magnet warrior appeared.
Delta the Magnet Warrior (1600/1400) LVL: 4
"Delta's effect activates! When summoned, I send a level 4 or lower Magnet Warrior from my hand to the graveyard! I send Alpha the Magnet Warrior to the graveyard! Next, I summon Alpha the Electromagnet Warrior!" Roy yelled as an advanced silver armored magnet warrior appeared.
Alpha the Electromagnet Warrior (1700/1100) LVL: 3
"When this card is summoned, I can add a level 8 Magna Warrior to my hand! I add Berserkion the Electromagna Warrior to my hand!" Roy explained as one of his aces popped out of his deck.
"Setting up to call out those higher level monsters, eh? I watched your last duel and I know your strategy." Kiryu said with a smirk.
"That doesn't mean you can stop me! Battle! Alpha, take out his Infernity Reloader!" Roy commanded as his monster used it's weapon to slice through the fiend.
KIRYU: 4000-3200 LP
"Trap Activate! Infernity Reflector! By discarding all of the cards in my hand, the destruction of an Infernity monster is negated! Also, you take 1000 damage!" Kiryu yelled as the fiend reformed and a yellow blast shot out of the trap and hit Roy.
ROY: 4000-3000 LP
"Tch...I won't let that stop me! Go, Delta! Attack Infernity Reloader!" Roy shouted as the magnet monster lunged at the fiend.
"I activate the effect of Infernity Savior in my graveyard! During the turn this card is sent from my hand to the graveyard, Infernity monsters can't be destroyed by battle and I don't take any battle damage!" Kiryu countered.
"I set a card facedown, turn end." Roy concluded.
"My turn! I activate the Spell Card, Graceful Charity! I draw three cards! Then, I discard two!" Kiryu yelled as he discard two Infernity monsters.
"Damn, the more Infernity monsters he gets into his graveyard, the more effects he'll be able to use..." Crow grunted.
"I set a card facedown. Then, Reloader's effect activates! I can send the top card of my deck to the graveyard and if it's a monster, you take 200 damage times the level of the monster. If the card isn't a monster, I take 500 damage. Let's go!" Kiryu yelled as he drew the card and glared at it.
"What a gamble! Did he get a monster?!" Melissa questioned.
"The card was...the monster, Infernity Destroyer. So by sending this level 6 monster to the graveyard, you take 1200 points of damage! Take this!" Kiryu yelled as his monster shot a barrage of bullets at Roy, causing him to scream in pain.
"GAAH!"

"We are so early in the duel and the Death God has already knocked his opponent below half of his health! No wonder he is a previous champion!" Melissa said in awe as acted like a fan girl for the man.
"Now, I switch my Infernity Reloader to defense mode."

"With that, I end my turn." Kiryu concluded.
"Stop playing around with me! I'm not some toy!" Roy angrily snapped.
"If that's the case, prove otherwise." Kiryu taunted.
"Grr...you're pissing me off! My turn! I summon Gamma the Electromagnet Warrior!" Roy shouted as the green advanced magnet warrior appeared.

"Gamma's effect activates! When this card is summoned, I can special summon another level 4 or lower Magnet Warrior from my hand! Come on out, Gamma the Magnet Warrior!" Roy yelled as the pink magnet warrior appeared.

"Battle! Alpha the Electromagnet Warrior, attack Infernity Reloader!" Roy commanded as the advanced magnet warrior leaped forward.
"Trap Activate! Infernity Force! This card destroys a monster that attacks an Infernity monster on my field while I have no cards in my hand!" Kiryu countered as the magnet monster was hit by a blast from the trap card.
"Damn it...!" Roy grunted.
"Also, I can special summon a level 4 or lower Infernity monster in my graveyard! Come back, Infernity Daemon!" Kiryu yelled as a fiend cloaked in blue appeared.

"When this card is summoned, I can add an Infernity Monster from my deck to my hand." Kiryu explained as a card popped out of his duel disk.
"Grr...Gamma, attack Infernity Reloader!" Roy commanded as the monster successfully punched a hole through the fiend.
"Since my monster is in defense mode, I don't take any damage."
"Since your monster is stronger than the rest of mine, I'm forced to end my turn." Roy concluded as he gritted his teeth.
"My turn! I release Infernity Daemon to Advance Summon! Come, Level 6! Infernity Archer!" Kiryu shouted as a archer clad in black and orange armor appeared.
Infernity Archer (2000/1000) LVL: 6
"Now, I set one card facedown. Infernity Archer's effect allows it to attack directly if I have no cards in my hand!" Kiryu explained.
"Roy only has 1800 life points...!" Hokuto uttered with a worried tone.
"Battle! Infernity Archer, attack him directly!" Kiryu yelled as the archer shot an arrow that passed the magnet warriors.
"I won't lose so early! Trap Activate! Defense Draw! The damage is reduced to 0 and I draw a card" Roy countered as a barrier blocked the arrow while his he drew.
"So you survived..." Kiryu muttered.
"At this moment, Gamma's effect activates! During my opponent's turn, I can release this card to special summon a level 4 or lower Magnet Warrior from my deck! Come, Beta the Electromagnet Warrior!" Roy yelled as the red magnet warrior appeared.
Beta the Electromagnet Warrior (1500/1500) LVL:3
"Beta's effect activates! When summoned, I can add a level 4 or lower Magnet Warrior to my hand! I add Beta the Magnet Warrior to my hand!"
"Interesting. Turn End." Kiryu concluded.
"My turn, draw!" Roy shouted as he drew. He glanced at the card and grinned before he placed the card in his hand and grabbed another card. "This is it! I activate the Spell Card, Monster Reincarnation! By discarding a card, I add Alpha the Magnet Warrior back to my hand. Now, everything is complete for my victory!"
"Is that so?" Kiryu smirked.
"I wouldn't be so cocky if I were you! By sending Alpha the Magnet Warrior and Beta the Magnet Warrior in my hand along with Gama the Magnet on my field to the graveyard, I can summon this monster!" Roy yelled as he held his previously drawn card high in the air.
The two magnet warriors appeared from his hand alongside Gamma and flew up into the air, causing a bright flash.
"Combine into one! Level 8! Valkyrion the Magna Warrior!" Roy exclaimed as the large winged magna warrior carrying a sword appeared from the light.

"I'm not done yet! By banishing Alpha the Electromagnet Warrior and Gamma the Electromagnet Warrior in my graveyard and Beta the Electromagnet Warrior on my field, I can summon this monster!" Roy yelled as his two advanced magnet warriors appeared from the graveyard beside Beta and flew up into the air, causing a bright flash. "Combine into one! Level 8! Berserkion the Electromagna Warrior!"
The advanced magna warrior appeared from the light while carrying a sword and landed next to the other magna warrior.
Berserkion the Electromagna Warrior (3000/2800) LVL: 8
"What a move! Now Roy has both of his Magna Warriors on the field!" Melissa exclaimed.
"Berserkion's effect activates! Once per turn, by banishing a level 4 or lower Magnet Warrior in my graveyard, I can destroy a card on your field! By banishing Alpha the Magnet Warrior in my graveyard, I can destroy a card on your field. I destroy Infernity Archer!" Roy yelled as an energy slash from his monster was sent towards the archer.
"Trap Activate! Infernity Offering! By releasing an Infernity monster on my field, I can special summon two Infernity monsters from the graveyard whose combined levels are equal to the level 6 Infernity Archer! I special summon the level 4 Infernity Daemon and the level 2 tuner monster, Infernity Beetle!" Kiryu yelled as his monster split into two balls of fire that turned into the two fiends.

"Infernity Daemon's effect activates! I add an Infernity monster from my deck to my hand!"
"No matter! I'll just use Delta and Berserkion to destroy those fiends and then Valkyrion will be more than enough to finish you off! This duel is over!" Roy yelled.
"Not so fast! If Infernity Offering was activated while I have no cards in my hand, the monster summoned by it's effects cannot be destroyed by battle during the turn they are summoned!" Kiryu smirked.
"So close!" Sawatari grunted.
"Damn you...I switch Delta the Magnet Warrior to defense mode and end my turn." Roy concluded.

"Even with those big and strong monsters, you still can't touch me! My turn! I tune my level 2 Infernity Beetle to my level 4 Infernity Daemon! Demon empowered by chaos! Awaken from the depths of hell and bring forth destruction! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 6! Infernity Hell Daemon!" Kiryu shouted as a large red and black demonic creature with sharp purple bones as armor appeared on the field.

"That monster is way weaker than my monsters!" Roy yelled.
"From my hand, I summon Infernity Warrior!" Kiryu shouted as a fiend with black armor and a battle axe appeared.

"I activate the Continuous Spell, Wave-Motion Inferno! While I have no cards in my hand, Infernity Monsters gain 400 ATK!"

"Hell Daemon's effect activates! Once per turn, I can target a card on your field and it's effects are negated! And if I have no cards in my hand, that card is destroyed! I target Valkyrion! Demonic Shoot!" Kiryu exclaimed as his monster shot a red and black blast from it's hands that shot through the monster.
"But he still has Berserkion!" Hokuto said.
"Battle! Hell Daemon, attack Berserkion!" Kiryu commanded, surprising everyone.
"Huh?!" Roy tilted his head in confusion.
"Warrior's effect activates! By releasing this monster when an Infernity monster battles while I have no cards in my hand, an Infernity monster on my field gains ATK equal to Warrior's ATK! Since Warrior previously had 1400 ATK, Hell Daemon's ATK becomes 4000!" Kiryu shouted as it turned into dark energy that flew into the Synchro monster.

"4000 ATK?!" Roy shouted in disbelief.
"That's not all! If I have no cards in my hand...battle damage inflicted by Hell Daemon is doubled!" Kiryu yelled, causing Roy's eyes to widen.
"Amazing! If this attack hits, Roy will take 2000 points of damage and lose!" Melissa yelled in awe.
"Go, Hell Daemon! Hell Fire Crush!" Kiryu commanded as the fiend's hands pointed at Roy's monster. The ground under the advanced magna warrior cracked open as fire shot out of the crack.
"I won't lose yet! Trap Activate! Half Unbreak! Berserkion isn't destroyed and the damage is halved!" Roy countered as a barrier prevented the monster from being destroyed. The flames bounced off the barrier and hit Roy, causing him to yell in pain.

"So you survived..." Kiryu said as he looked up and saw an Action Card. He raised his arm up and grabbed the card. "Action Spell, Single Distraction! If my opponent controls one monster, that monster is destroyed!"
A blast of lightning shot out of the card and obliterated the monster, making Roy grunt in frustration.
"Grr...when this card is destroyed, I can special summon the banished Alpha, Beta, and Gamma the Electromagnet Warriors!"

"Eh? Ending his turn just like that?!" Melissa said, expecting more to happen.
"That's all? Too bad. My turn! I activate the Spell Card, Infernity Burning Blitz! When activated, if I have no other cards in my hand and I control exactly one Infernity monster, that monster can attack all monsters my opponent controls!" Kiryu yelled as his monster was surrounded by a circle of flames.
"What?!"
"Say goodbye to your defenses! Battle! Hell Daemon, attack all of his puny Magnet Warriors! Hell Fire Crush!" Kiryu yelled as hellish fire shot out of the ground beneath Roy's field, incinerating all of the monsters.
"Ghh...I don't take any damage since my monsters were in defense mode...!" Roy grunted.
"But now you have nothing in your field. And on the next turn, I'll-!"
"I still have a card left to play! Delta the Magnet Warrior's effect activates! When this card is sent to the graveyard, by banishing three Magnet Warriors in my graveyard, I can special summon Valkyrion from my hand or deck ignoring summoning conditions!" Roy yelled as he held the card in his hand up. "I banish Alpha, Beta, and Gamma the Electromagna Warriors to special summon Valkyrion the Magna Warrior once more!"

"Tch...!" Kiryu clicked his tongue.

"I'm not done! I activate the Spell Card, Fusion! I fuse Berserkion and Valkyrion! Magna Warriors of the past and future! Combine your strength and bring forth the Ultimate Machine! Fusion Summon! Come forth! Level 10! Imperion Magnum the Superconductive Battle Machine!" A giangantic monster with the combine size of both monsters with parts from both monsters and four legs. The monster had a giant grey sword in one hand and a cannon over it's left shoulder. It had four legs and had mechanical wings on it's back.

"Infernity Shielder's effect in my graveyard activates! While I have no cards in my hand, I can negate a direct attack and special summon this card along with a level 3 or lower Infernity monster in my graveyard!" Kiryu yelled as a barrier appeared around him.
"I knew you would do that! Imperion Magnum's effect activates! Once per turn, during either player's turn, when my opponent activates the effect of a spell, trap, or monster, the activation is negated and the card is destroyed! Magnetic Pulse Cannon!" Roy exclaimed as the Fusion monster shot a blue blast from it's shoulder cannon that disintegrated the barrier.
"What?!" Kiryu yelled.
"Good thing my instincts to bring out this guy were correct! Go, Final Magnum Saber!" Roy yelled as his monster swung it's blade downwards at the Death God.
"...I'm not done just yet! I banish Infernity Supporter to use it's effect! When banished while I have no cards in my hand, the damage is reduced to 0!" Kiryu yelled as the spirit of his monster took the attack.
"Wow! Kiryu had two defensive cards in his graveyard! Amazing!" Melissa shouted with a happy tone.
"So close...you won't be so lucky next turn! Turn end!" Roy concluded.
"Facing a monster with 4000 ATK...how satisfying! My turn!" Kiryu yelled as he drew.
"Satisfying? That's not usually the first word I would think of if I had to face that monster." Sawatari said.
"I activate the Spell Card, Monster Reborn! Revive-!"
"I won't let you! Imperion Magnum's effect activates! Once per turn, during either player's turn, when my opponent activates the effect of a spell, trap, or monster, the activation is negated and the card is destroyed! Magnetic Pulse Cannon!" Roy exclaimed as the Fusion monster shot a blue blast from it's shoulder cannon that disintegrated the spell.
"With no cards in his hand...Roy has won!" Hokuto realized with a grin.
"Hehehe...you think this is over? Well you're dead wrong! I banish Infernity General to activate it's effect! By banishing it while I have no cards in my hand, I can special summon two level 3 or lower Infernity monsters from my graveyard! Revive, Infernity Daemon! And the tuner monster, Infernity Beetle!"

"No...not this monster...!" Yuto uttered in fear.
"Demonic Dragon caged in the realm between heaven and hell! Break free from your eternal purgatory and spread your darkness across the land of the living! SYNCHRO SUMMON! Come forth! Level 8! Infernity Void Dragon!" Kiryu shouted. A demonic dragon covered in sharp black armor with red and white lines running through it appeared. The dragon had sharp grey claws and a large tail with a sharp grey blade at the end. The dragon had red eyes and large grey fangs.

Kiryu yelled as the dragon's glowing claw drove through the Fusion. Then, the spirit of the Fusion flew into the dragon, causing it to gain a fiery aura.

"Battle! Infernity Void Dragon, attack Valkyrion! Infernity Hell Inferno!" Kiryu yelled as the dragon shot a powerful red blast of flames from it's mouth. The blast burned through the monster, causing a powerful explosion that enveloped Roy.

As steam was released from his D-Wheel, the course changed and the auto-drive function took Roy back into the stadium.
"Damn it...!" Roy uttered as he stopped his D-Wheel in the pit while still steaming from the last attack.
"Roy, you ok?!" Hokuto asked.
"I think so...but that guy...somethings off about his strength...he was so strong but it felt like he wasn't trying at all..." Roy explained before grunting in pain.
"Don't worry, I'll take him out and win!" Hokuto said as he put on his helmet.
"Good luck." Sawatari nodded.
"Here." Roy said, giving the Xyz user the card that remained on his field.
Hokuto took Berserkion and placed on his activated duel disk before driving off.
"Up next for Team Magnetic Stars is Hokuto Shijima and he is starting off with a 2800 DEF monster! Will he be able to defeat Kiryu who has 3000 life points and a monster with 4000 ATK?!" Melissa questioned.
"I'll win this duel for my team! I will defeat you!" Hokuto exclaimed.
"You can try." Kiryu smirked.

Kiryu gritted his teeth as he sped forward. He glanced to his right and saw an Action Card high in the air. Using his expert D-Wheel skills, he quickly raced up the curved wall of the track and grabbed the card.
"Hah! Action Spell, Evasion! The attack is negated!" Kiryu exclaimed.
"I'm not done! I'll use my friend's strength to win this duel! Go, Berserkion the Electromagnet Warrior! Attack Infernity Void Dragon! Electro Saber!" Hokuto yelled as his teammate's monster charged forward. The monster slashed down on the dragon, causing an explosion. When the smoke settled, Kiryu was defenseless.
"Amazing...he defeated that dragon in just one turn...!" Yuto said in awe.
"Take this! Praesepe, direct attack!" Hokuto yelled as his remaining monster charged forward.
"Infernity Shielder's effect in my graveyard activates! While I have no cards in my hand, I can negate a direct attack and special summon this card along with a level 3 or lower Infernity monster in my graveyard!" Kiryu yelled as a barrier appeared and blocked the attack.
"What?!" Hokuto yelled.
"Did you forget? My monster's effect activation was negated earlier, but it stayed in the graveyard. Meaning, I could use it again since you attacked me directly!" Kiryu explained with a smirk.
"Damn it...!" Hokuto grunted.
"Now come back, Infernity Shielder! Infernity Daemon!" Kiryu yelled as the two monsters returned to the field. Both also gained ATK due to Wave-Motion Inferno.

"Next, I summon Infernity Keeper!" Kiryu yelled as a black cloaked fiend carrying a scroll appeared.

"Grr..." Hokuto grunted.
"And since the amount was three or more, I can draw a card! Draw!" Kiryu exclaimed as he drew. "Heh. My cards have responded to me. I'll now be using that additional normal summon! I release Infernity Keeper for an Advance Summon! Come forth, level 6! Infernity Destroyer!" Kiryu yelled as a larger fiend with black and red armor appeared.

Hokuto yelled as his ace monster appeared which was a white and golden armored warrior with a white blade that had a circular golden handle.

"I don't think so!" Kiryu yelled as he reached down and grabbed another Action Card. "Action Spell, Runaway! The activation of that effect is negated and you take 500 points of damage!"

"You bastard...!" Hokuto grunted as he glared at his opponent. "I can still take out your monsters! Battle! Constellar Praesepe, attack Infernity Destroyer!"
"Eh? My monster has 3700 ATK! Have you gone mad from all those hits to the head or something?" Kiryu asked.
"Not at all! Since Constellar Caduceus was used as Xyz material for Constellar Pleiades, it gains an additional effect! Now, whenever Constellar Pleiades battles a LIGHT or DARK monster, that monster is automatically banished before either player would take damage!" Hokuto explained as his monster was surrounded by a golden light.
"What?!" Kiryu said in a surprised tone.
"Now go, Constellar Pleiades! Slice through that fiend with all of your might! Cosmic Slash!" Hokuto exclaimed as his monster shinning blade sliced through the fiend, causing it to burst into yellow particles.
"Tch..." Kiryu clicked his tongue.
"Now go, Berserkion! Attack Infernity Daemon! Electro Saber!" Hokuto yelled as his teammate's monster leaped forward and drove it's blade through the fiend. This caused a shockwave that made Kiryu's D-Wheel wobble.

"Grr...since Infernity Daemon left the field, it's banished due to Infernity Shielder's effect." Kiryu explained.
"Alright! He dealt some damage and got rid of two of his monsters!" Sawatari cheered.
"I set a card facedown, turn end." Hokuto concluded.
"My turn! I activate the Equip Spell, Void Barrier! I equip this card to Infernity Shielder. This Spell can't be affected by my opponent's card effects while I have no cards in my hand." Kiryu explained with a smirk.
"So he can't use Pleiades' effect to get rid of it..." Yuya realized.
"The monster equipped with this card can't be targeted by my opponent's card effects! Meaning, your monster won't be able to use it's effect to send Infernity Shielder back to my hand! I now end my turn!" Kiryu concluded.
"I'll just destroy that monster through battle! My turn! Battle! Berserkion, attack Infernity Shielder! Electro Saber!" Hokuto yelled as the magna warrior slashed through the monster. The fiend was then banished due to it's effect.
"Hahaha! At this moment, Void Barrier's effect activates! When the equipped monster leaves the field, I can special summon an Infernity monster from my graveyard! Revive, Infernity Void Dragon!" Kiryu yelled as his ace dragon returned with a furious roar.

"Huh?!" Hokuto looked up as a fiery chain wrapped around his ace. The Xyz monster bursted, causing a blast of flames that burned Hokuto.

I overlay Constellar Pleiades and Constellar Ptolemy M7!" Hokuto yelled as the two monster turned into yellow energy that flew into the overlay network.
"He's brining out his most powerful monster!" Roy realized.
"Beat him, Hokuto!" Sawatari yelled.
"Dazzling light that illuminates the universe! Materialize as a shinning dragonic warrior and make the cosmos tremble! Xyz Summon! Come forth! Rank 7! Constellar Paladin Orion!" Hokuto yelled as a new warrior appeared in a flash of bright light. The Knight had shark white and yellow armor with two yellow blades, one in each hand. The warrior had a emblem similar to Ptomely M7's head on it's chest and shared the same blue space-like wings as the dragon.

"Damn...now I can't revive a Constellar monster...but it doesn't matter! You have lost this duel! Battle! Constellar Paladin Orion, attack him directly! Celestial Starlight Slash!" Hokuto yelled as the dragonic warrior shot a yellow X-shaped blast towards the defenseless Synchro user.
"Infernity Escape's other effect activates! By banishing this card in my graveyard when I'm attacked directly, I can special summon the monster banished by it's effect! Revive, Infernity Void Dragon!"

"He can't do anything else...!" Yugo realized with a horrified look.
"Oh no...!" Yuzu uttered.

"My turn! The way you continued to fight was satisfying, but this duel is over! Battle! Infernity Void Dragon, attack Constellar Paladin Orion and end this duel! Infernity Hell Inferno!" Kiryu yelled as the dragon shot a powerful blast of fire that incinerated the Xyz monster. The flames of the attack collided with Hokuto, causing him to scream in pain as he was burned alive.

"HOKUTO!" Masumi cried.
"It's over! The amazing Kiryu has won again! He's amazing!" Melissa yelled as the crowd cheered.
"Hokuto! Are you ok?!" Roy asked as Hokuto pulled into the pit.
"Damn...I could barely damage him at all..." Hokuto uttered before falling off his D-Wheel. Sawatari and Roy caught the injured Xyz user and sat him down.
"Don't worry. I'll magnificently defeat this guy for sure! There's no doubt about it!" Sawatari told his teammates as he put his helmet on.
"Right..." Hokuto nodded.
"Good luck." Roy said.
Sawatari raced off on his D-Wheel with a determined look. Though he was nervous, he was determined to avenge his teammates and put on a great show.
"The final member from Team Magnetic Stars is Shingo Sawatari! Will he be able to defeat Kiryu who has 2200 life points and a monster with 4800 ATK?!" Melissa questioned.
"So your the last member of your team. I'm surprised you didn't just forfeit after seeing how badly I beat your teammates." Kiryu smirked.
"You think I would ever forfeit? I, Shingo Sawatari, the ultimate entertainer and the master of pendulum, will defeat you while putting on a mesmerizing show!" Sawatari yelled, causing the crowd to cheer.
"Ultimate entertainer...master of pendulum...?!" Yuya's eyes twitched in irritation as he heard the blonde haired boy's words.
"Someone's certainly full of themself. But I don't mind if they can truly put their money where their mouth is." Kiryu said.
"You sure talk all high and mighty for someone who is about to lose!" Sawatari shouted.
"We'll see about that!" Kiryu smirked.

Fire works shot up in the air causing a marvelous spectacle. Sawatari extended his hands out with a grin as the crowd looked in awe.

"Nice try, but that's not enough to defeat me! Trap Activate! Synchro Barrier! By releasing Infernity Void Dragon, I take no damage this turn!" Kiryu yelled as the dragon dispersed into particles, causing the attack to miss.

"Hehe, you're not bad. This should bring me satisfaction! My turn!" Kiryu yelled as he drew. "I activate the Quick Play Spell, Cyclone! I'll destroy your Funky Comedian in your Pendulum Zone!"
"Tch..." Sawatari clicked his tongue.
"Next, I activate the Spell Card Zero MAX! This card allows me to revive an Infernity monster in my graveyard! Revive, Infernity Void Dragon!" Kiryu yelled as his dragon returned.

"Unfortunately, I can't battle the turn Zero MAX is used. Therefore, I end my turn." Kiryu concluded. "What will you do now that you can't Pendulum Summon?"
"Oh please! This is only a minor setback! I still got plenty of dazzling tricks up my sleeve! My turn!" Sawatari yelled as he drew.

Sassy Rookie and Void Dragon began glowing as Sawatari smirked.
"Haha! Comic Relief allows me to switch control of an Abyss Actor Pendulum Monster and a monster on your field!" Sawatari grinned.
"What?!" Kiryu yelled as his dragon was replaced with the small fiend.
"He took Kiryu's ace monster?!" Crow shouted in amazement.
"Comic Relief is now destroyed due to it's effect. Also, Inferno Void Dragon loses it's ATK boost from it's own effect since I have no banished cards and it also loses 400 ATK due to not being affected by Wave-Motion Inferno any longer." Sawatari explained.

"Kiryu is defenseless! That means...!" Serena started.
"...Sawatari is going to win!" Yuya realized in awe.
"It's time for a dramatic finish! Battle! Infernity Void Dragon, attack him directly and end this duel!" Sawatari shouted as the dragon shot a powerful blast at the smirking Death God.
"Heh, Trap Activate! Defense Draw! I take no damage and draw a card!" Kiryu yelled as he drew.
"It's not over yet! Abyss Actor Big Star, wipe out all of his life points with an amazing final attack! Show Stopper Smash!" Sawatari exclaimed as the fiend jumped high in the air.
"Heh, not bad..." Kiryu said as he looked down.
The fiend's kick connected with the Death God, causing him to yell in pain.

"Sawatari sure has improved since back then." Masumi said in an impressed tone.
"Yeah. I thought this duel would be much more ruthless like that team's previous duel." Gongenzaka said, thinking about how the Black Rose Witch brutally defeated Shinji's team.
"...This duel isn't over." Yuto interjected, causing his teammates to look in confusion.
"What are you talking about, Yuto?" Masumi asked.
"Keep watching." Yuto said as he looked at the screen.
"HeheheHAHAHA!" Kiryu began to laugh maniacally as his face went dark.
"Hey, what are you laughing about? You lost!" Sawatari yelled.
"I can't simply lose like this! I am the Death God!" Kiryu shouted as he looked upwards with a crazed look. A dark blue aura consumed him as a black and blue fiend appeared on his field.

Kiryu explained.
"Then how the hell am I suppose to win?!" Sawatari questioned.
"Due to Zero End's effect, for every 500 points of damage I'd take, I gain a Death Counter. When I have 3 Death Counters, I lose the duel. And if this card is the only monster on my field, you can attack me directly." Kiryu explained.
"That shouldn't be to hard. I end my turn." Sawatari concluded.
"I didn't expect to resort to this move during this duel...THIS DUEL TRULY IS SATISFYING!" Kiryu laughed.
"Kiryu...!" Crow uttered as he saw the menacing look in his childhood friend's eyes.

"What?!" Sawatari shouted as the dragon he had stolen was destroyed.

Infernity Plague and Infernity Lottery are sent to the graveyard!" Kiryu explained with a smirk. "Next, Infernity Lottery's effect in my graveyard activates! When this card is sent from my hand or deck to the graveyard while I have no cards in my hand, I can draw three cards!"
"If you are going to make a move, make it already!" Sawatari impatiently yelled.

"Heh, I'm not afraid to play dirty!" Kiryu growled as he violently rammed the side of his D-Wheel into Sawatari's D-Wheel, causing the boy to cry out while slowing down.
"Damn you!" Sawatari yelled.
"Hah! Action Spell, High Dive! Void Dragon gains 1000 ATK!" Kiryu yelled.

"7-7900 ATK?!" Sawatari yelled in horror.

"That was his only chance...!" Yuzu uttered.
"But look at his expression...he doesn't look worried at all!" Yugo commented.
"Hah! I'm actually pretty happy you countered that! This way, I'll be able to end things in a much more flashy way!" Sawatari smirked.
"End things, eh? Someone sure is delusional!" Kiryu yelled.
"Against a villain like you, there is no way me, the glorious hero, can lose!" Sawatari declared.
"Sawatari is making some bold claims! But against a 6900 ATK dragon, I'm not sure what he can do!" Melissa shouted.
"I'll show you my true power right now! From my hand, I summon the tuner monster, Abyss Actor Loyal Sidekick!" Sawatari yelled as a small cloaked fiend with blue skin and a broad sword appeared.

"Did he just say...!" Serena uttered.
"...Tuner monster?!" Yuya finished with a surprised tone.
"If he has a tuner monster...that means...!" Yugo trailed off.
"It's time for the true star of the show to appear! I tune my level 1 Loyal Sidekick to my level 7 Big Star!" Sawatari exclaimed with a smirk as the small fiend turned into a single green ring that flew around his ace.
"He is actually going to Synchro Summon!" Yuzu realized.
"Magnificent artist famed for a thousand roles! Appear on this stage and dazzle the masses with your legendary talent! SYNCHRO SUMMON! To the center of the spotlight! Level 8! Abyss Actor Legendary Star!" Sawatari exclaimed as his brand new fiend arrived onto the fiend. The monster had a striking resemblance to Big Star, but was much more flashy with a crystal white robe that black and gold star accessories. Also, the monster was surrounded by a large spotlight.

"Thanks Reiji...!" Sawatari thought to himself as he looked at his extra deck monster.
Before the Lancers left for Synchro
Reiji was in his observation room with his scientist. On the large screens, multiple Pendulum Cards were on display.
"These cards will be a tremendous help in our cause." Reiji said with a satisfied look.
"Sir, Shingo Sawatari is demanding to see you. It's something about his deck." Nakajima told his boss.
"Send him in." Reiji nodded.
"Yes sir." Nakajima left the room and when came back with the blonde hair boy.
"Sawatari, why did you need to see me?" Reiji asked.
"It's my deck...!" Sawatari muttered.
"Is something wrong? You asked for a deck full of Pendulum monsters and you seemed to work well with the deck." Reiji said.
"That is true...but I still don't think I'm strong enough..." Sawatari said.
"What makes you say that?" Reiji asked.
"This deck is amazing...but after seeing your duel against Sakaki...and how he used all of those summoning methods...I felt so helpless...like I could never reach that level..." Sawatari grunted as he clenched his fist.
"Does that mean you want a new deck?" Reiji asked.
Sawatari looked at his ace monster that was at the bottom of his deck as his hand shook.
"No...for the first time in my life...I feel connected to my deck...so I can't just give up and throw it away...I want to become stronger with these cards...but I don't know how..." Sawatari said. Reiji looked surprised for a moment before smirking.
"Hmph. That was the correct answer." Reiji said, causing Sawatari to look in confusion.
"Huh?"
"If you had came in here looking for a new deck...I would have denied you...but you didn't. You came here to seek a different way to gain strength with your deck."
"That's right." Sawatari nodded.
"For that, here you go." Reiji snapped his fingers and a scientist walked up to Sawatari and handed him a small stack of cards.
"Wait...these are...!" Sawatari eye's widened in shock as he looked at the cards.
"Sorry for the wait, but those cards take a little longer to create than the Pendulum monsters. If you want to be as strong as Yuya Sakaki, then you just master using these cards. You have battled with your allies that uses these methods and have witnessed them first hand, so it won't take long to figure out." Reiji explained.
"Alright! I will become the strongest in all of the dimensions with these cards!" Sawatari yelled as he ran off to practice with his cards. Reiji just smirked before crossing his arms and looking back at the screen.
Back in the present
"A-Amazing! In a shocking turn of events, Sawatari Shingo has unexpectedly performed a Synchro Summon, just like Yuya Sakaki did in his match!" Melissa shouted.
"Just like Yuya..." Sawatari's eyes twitched as he heard himself being compared to Yuya in such a way.
"Sawatari's still getting stronger..." Yuya said in awe.
"My final act will be much more entertaining than Sakaki's was!" Sawatari shouted.
"Final act? That weak monster is your big plan! How amusing!" Kiryu laughed.
"Amusing? The only thing amusing about my final act will be the expression on your face when you lose!" Sawatari shouted.
"You brat-!"
"I'll show you my true power right now! Legendary Star's effect activates! When Synchro Summoned, I can add an Abyss Actor from my deck or graveyard to my hand!" Sawatari explained as a card popped out of his deck.
"Go, Sawatari!" Roy and Hokuto cheered.
"It's time to show you my brand new monster's power! Let's do it, Legendary Star!" Sawatari commanded. His Synchro monster began to shine as the spotlight on it began expanding outwards.
"What is this?!" Kiryu asked.
"Legendary Star's effect activates! By releasing up to 3 Abyss Actors on my field, cards on your field up to that amount are returned to your hand!" Sawatari exclaimed with a smirk.
"What?!"
"I release Double Castor and Sassy Rookie! Therefore, your remaining facedown and your dragon are now sent back to where they came from! MAGNIFICENT STARDOM!" Sawatari exclaimed. The supernova-like light began to push back the struggling dragon, causing it to roar.
"I'm not done yet! Trap Activate! Infernity Death Launch! When an Infernity monster would leave the field by a card effect, I can release that monster in order to inflict damage equal to it's level times 100! That means you'll take 800 damage! YOU'RE FINISHED!" Kiryu laughed as his dragon turned into a fireball that shot through the light towards Sawatari.
"Sawatari!" The Pendulum user's teammates yelled.
"I had a feeling you would do something like that! I send Abyss Actor Backgrounder in my hand to the graveyard to reduce the damage I'm about to take to 0!" Sawatari exclaimed as a pitch-black shadowy fiend took the attack.
"You added that card to your hand knowing I'd try something like that...!" Kiryu grunted.
"...Kiryu has nothing left on his field and no cards in his hand..." Serena uttered.
"...Sawatari won...!" Yuya realized.
"I'm...NOT DONE YET! I banish Infernity Plague in my graveyard to activate it's effect! Besides the turn this card was sent to the graveyard, while this Trap is in my graveyard while I have no cards in my hand, I can target a monster on my opponent's field and it loses ATK equal to it's DEF! This means your monster loses 2200 ATK!"
Legendary Star (3000/2200)-(800/2200)
"You...think that's all it will take to fend off my finale? Well you are wrong! Legendary Star's final effect activates!" Sawatari yelled with a smirk.
"A third effect?!" Melissa yelled in shock.
"Once per either player's turn, I can target an Abyss Actor on the field or face up in the Extra Deck and Legendary Star gains it's effects until the end of the turn! The monster I target is...Abyss Actor Double Caster!" Sawatari yelled as the spirit of the fiend was absorbed into the Synchro monster.
"Eh?!" Kiryu let out.
"Now, my monster can make two attacks since my life points are less than 2000!" Sawatari shouted with a grin. "Battle! Legendary Star, attack him directly!"
The Synchro monster gathered a ball of shinning energy in it's hands and threw it at Kiryu.
"GRAAAH!"
DEATH COUNTER: 0-1
"Attack again!"
DEATH COUNTER: 1-2
"HAHAHA! It's still not enough!" Kiryu laughed.
"I'm not done!"
"What?!"
"Quick Play Spell, Abyss Script Climatic Attack activate! While I control a single Abyss Actor that has already battled this turn, it can attack an additional time by sending 3 Abyss Actors from my Extra Deck to the graveyard!" Sawatari yelled as he sent Comic Relief, Funky Comedian, and Loyal Sidekick to the graveyard.
"No way...impossible...!" Kiryu uttered in disbelief. "I won't to a weakling like you!"
Kiryu gritted his teeth as he sped forward, searching for an Action Card.
"This is the grand finale! Abyss Actor Legendary Star, end this duel! DIRECT ATTACK!"
"Action Spell, Evasion! The attack is negated!" Kiryu yelled.
"Not so fast! Due to Climatic Attack's effect, my monster's attack can't be negated!" Sawatari yelled.
"Huh?!" Kiryu's eyes widened.
"GO, SHOOTING STAR SMASH!"
The Synchro monster gained a shiny white aura as it jumped high in the air and slammed downwards feet first like a shooting star.
"GRAAAAAHH!"
A large explosion occurred as the crowd looked in awe.
"He won...!" Yuya said in a relieved tone.
"It seems that Sawatari Shingo has surprisingly defeated the Legendary Kiryu Kyoske...!" Melissa shouted in awe and a bit of sadness.
"Great job, Sawatari!" Roy shouted.
"Way to go!" Hokuto cheered.
"Hahaha! I knew the I was going to win! There was no way I would lose!" Sawatari grinned.
"Is that so?"
DEATH COUNTERS: 2
Kiryu raced out of the smoke with a large grin on his face.
"Huh?! Why didn't you lose! You should have gained a third Death Counter!" Sawatari yelled.
"I would have, but I banish Infernity Balance in my graveyard to reduce the damage inflicted by a monster with ATK that's different from it's original to 0! I told you couldn't defeat me! HAHAHA!" Kiryu laughed.
"Well I'll just finish you off next turn...I end my turn." Sawatari concluded.
Legendary Star (800/2200)-(3000/2200)
"Wow...Kiryu managed to survive the onslaught of attacks! He's truly amazing!" Melissa yelled.
"Your dueling...has satisfied me. But sadly...THIS IS THE FINAL TURN!" Kiryu shouted.
"You must be joking." Sawatari said with hint of nervousness.
"I'll show you the power of the Death God! MY TURN!" Kiryu roared as he violently drew. "With this one card...I'LL SEND YOU STRAIGHT TO HELL! I summon the tuner monster, Infernity Entity!"
A shadowy fiend with a demonic aura appeared and was boosted by Kiryu's spell.
Infernity Entity (100/100)-(500/100) LVL: 2
"My monster's effect activates! When this card is summon while I control Infernity Zero End, I can special summon a Void Dragon from my graveyard with it's effects negated in DEF mode! Rise, Infernity Void Dragon!"
Infernity Void Dragon (3000/2400)-(3400/2400) LVL:8
"Kiryu...oh no...!" Crow uttered with a hotties look as he realized what was coming next.
"I tune my level 2 Infernity Entity to my level 8 Infernity Void Dragon!" Kiryu yelled as the tuner turned into two pitch black rings that flew around his ace. "Destructive dragon with hellish power! Shatter the boundaries of heaven and hell and spread your burning purgatory throughout all of reality! SYNCHRO SUMMON! Come forth! Level 10! INFERNITY ETERNAL VOID DRAGON!"
Infernity Eternal Void Dragon (3400/2800)-(3800/2800) LVL: 10
A frightening demonic black dragon with sharp pitch-black and red armor appeared. The dragon's armor had purple flames running through it and had silver fangs. The dragon had red claws and had a long black tail that had a burning blade on it's tip.
"U-Unbelievable! The Death God has managed to bring out a terrifying evolved form of his ace monster!" Melissa yelled in a mix of amazement and terror with the crowd having a similar reaction.
"His dragon had an evolution?!" Yuto shouted in shock.
"What the hell is that thing?!" Hokuto yelled.
"It's horrifying...!" Roy uttered.
"It's over..." Crow uttered as he looked away from the screen.
"It can't be over...Sawatari and the others...!" Yuya said in disbelief.
"This is my true power! With just one attack, your life points will be depleted!" Kiryu yelled as his dragon ferociously roared.
"I...refuse to lose!" Sawatari shouted as he sped forward on his D-Wheel.
Kiryu surprisingly slowed up, allowing Sawatari to grab an Action Card on the track.
"Action Spell, Power Gem! Legendary Star gains 800 ATK!" Sawatari yelled as his monster powered up.
Legendary Star (3000/2200)-(3800/2200)
"I'm not done yet! Legendary Star's effect activates! Once per either player's turn, he can copy the effect a face up Abyss Actor in my Extra Deck! I target Abyss Actor Sassy Rookie! Meaning, Legendary Star won't be destroyed by battle once per turn!"
"Trying to build up a defense, eh? It won't help! Witness my dragon's earth-shattering power! Eternal Void Dragon's effect activates! Upon being Synchro Summoned, all monsters on my opponent's field are destroyed!" Kiryu yelled. As his dragon roared, purple flames shot out of the ground, incinerating the Synchro monster.
"No way!" Sawatari yelled in disbelief.
After the Synchro monster was destroyed the flames flew forward and were absorbed into the dragon's mouth, causing it to glow brightly.
"What the hell?!" Sawatari questioned.
"And while I have at least a single Death Counter, I can inflict damage to my opponent equal to the ATK of the destroyed monster with the highest ATK!" Kiryu yelled, causing all of the Lancers' eyes to widen in fear.
"...No..." Yuya uttered in disbelief.
"...Damn...I'm sorry...everyone..." Sawatari uttered as he looked down.
"SAWATARI!" Hokuto and Roy yelled.
"This duel was satisfying...BUT THIS IS THE END! DO IT, INFERNITY ETERNAL VOID DRAGON! INFINITE PURGATORY FLAME!"
"...SAWATARI!" Yuya yelled as he jumped off his bed.
The dragon shot a powerful purple burst of fire from it's mouth at the defenseless Lancer. As the boy closed his eyes, he was consumed by the flames without making a single sound...

WINNER: TEAM DEVASTATION
The impact of the blast sent Sawatari flying in the air, causing his friends to call out his name in horror.
A large cloud of smoke covered the field, causing everyone to look in anticipation and fear.
As the smoke dissipated, Kiryu raced out of the fog with his dragon behind him. The dragon was carrying the incapacitated Sawatari in it's hand, causing the Lancers to sigh in relief.
The dragon softly put the boy back onto the track before dissolving into particles as Kiryu stopped his D-Wheel.
Kiryu took off his helmet and stared at the main camera, knowing who his old teammate was watching him.
"You're next, Crow."
After muttering these words, he raced off into the tunnel.
"I-It's over! In an impressive final move, Kiryu Kyosuke has swept Team Magnetic Stars which means Team Devastation is moving on to the next round! And he also saved his opponent! What good sportsmanship demonstrated by the previous champion!" Melissa yelled.
"KIRYU! KIRYU! KIRYU!" The crowd chants echoed through the whole stadium.
"Kiryu...what happened to you...?!" Crow muttered as his hand clutched into a fist.
"Sawatari! Are you ok?!" Hokuto asked as he and Roy ran up to the boy who was being carried away on a stretcher.
"I'm...fine..." Sawatari weakly said.
"You're friend will be taken into medical care for a few hours. As for you two..." A large man said to the two.
The two Lancers bowed their heads as they were lead through the tunnel, heading into the underground.
"Hokuto...Roy...Sawatari..!" Masumi uttered as now all of her friends from LDS were underground.
"It'll be ok. They will be with Yaiba and Tsukikage. And we'll get them out eventually." Gongenzaka told his teammate.
"That guy...!" Yuto grunted in frustration. "Next time I face him...I won't show him any mercy."
"Five...Five Lancers are now underground..." Yuya uttered in anger.
"That team has only used one duelist in each round...and we don't even know who the third duelist is yet...!" Serena said in a worried tone.
Crow just stayed silent. After he and Kiryu split ways, he knew Kiryu was getting into some shady stuff. But what he is now...he doesn't know anymore. What could have made him change so much. Or the more important question...Who...could have made him change so much?
He did save Sawatari...unlike the Black Rose Witch who showed no mercy...so he can't be all that bad. As Crow thought about this the screen turned back to Melissa Claire who showed the next match up.
"Alrighty everyone! It's time for the second duel of the round! Team Taiyou vs Team Wings of Victory! Who will be victorious?! Find out after the break!" Melissa shouted.
"Yugo and Yuzu are up..." Yuya said with a worried tone. After seeing three more Lancers being sent underground, he was kind of scared for the next match.
"I'm sure they will win." Serena said with a confident tone.
"Team Taiyou...they relied on low level monsters and used tricky spells and traps to win their previous duel." Crow said.
"Yuzu...Yugo...please win..." Yuya prayed.
A little while later
Yuzu and Yugo had made their way through the tunnel and into the stadium.
"I thought Kurosaki would be back by now...are we going to have to duel without him...?" Yuzu questioned.
"It's fine. We beat the last team with just two of us, so we can do it again!" Yugo said with a smirk.
"Hey! Get back here! You aren't healed yet." A man yelled from behind Yugo and Yuzu. But, the man wasn't talking to either of the teens, but there teammate who was trying to catch up to them.
"Stay out my way! I'm dueling!" Shun angrily yelled.
"Kurosaki? Are you ok? You don't look fully recovered." Yuzu said in a worried tone.
"I'm fine! I've endured much worse." Shun grunted.
"You don't trust us two to win on our, do you?!" Yugo angrily yelled.
"No, I want to end this tournament. So I'll crush everyone in my path so we can move on to Academia and saving Ruri." Shun said as he walked forward.
"But Kurosaki-!"
"Don't bother, Yuzu. If he wants to kill himself trying to duel, let him." Yugo said, making Yuzu even more worried as she watched Kurosaki walk out into the stadium...
Hey everyone! I'm truly sorry this took long, but Ipromise things will get better. I'm trying really hard to find the time but sinceI started going back to school in April, it's been very time consuming. I don't want to make accuses and I am still very motivated to write the next duel. Thank you for the messages and support y'all have been giving me and I truly appreciate the patience.
About the duel, it was super hard to write and I'm sorry if it didn't turn out amazing. I did have a lot of fun writing Kiryu, but I can't tell how it turned out. I hope you all liked Sawatari's Synchro monster. Legendary Star and Loyal Sidekick was made by my buddy bladewriter3. I also hope you liked Kiryu's evolved ace. The original plan was to have him summon an Assault Mode version of his ace to win, but I thought that it would be boring since I already had Jack and Aki win with their Assault Modes. Kiryu will show his off at some point and so will Crow probably.
