Hey guys! Welcome back and happy summer! Today was my last day of schooland I'm super excited to have more time to write.
But first, I noticed something in the reviews and I have two things to say. PLEASE READ
1) Please don't demand me to update and make me feel like I am doing something wrong. The reasons why the chapters use to come out super quick was because of COVID giving me free time and the chapters were either short or weren't that good. Quality over Quantity.
2) Please don't spam any mistakes I may have made. I will be reviewing the last chapters and making some corrections all at once. I much rather you PM as it is a lot less rude.

"Hopefully Yuzu and the others can defeat their opponents..." Serena said.
"Yeah..." Yuya said with a nervous tone. He was still shaken up by the fact that there more Lancers had been sent underground.
"You ok, kid? You look worried sick." Crow asked the Pendulum user.
"I'm fine...just a little concerned is all..." Yuya answered.
"I'm sure Yuzu and Yugo will be ok. Their opponents didn't really look like they were above their level in the first round. I'm sure they will come out on top." Serena reassured the boy.
"I hope you are right..." Yuya said as he looked at the screen while clenching his Pendulum.
With Team Blades of Bravery
"Tsukikage...Yaiba...Hokuto...Roy...even Sawatari...I still can't believe they are all underground..." Masumi uttered in a saddened tone.
"I, the man Gongenzaka, am also saddened by our recent lists...but we have to win for their sake." Gongenzaka told his team:
Yuto sternly looked at the screen while thinking about his Lancer comrades' defeats. This reminded him of all the comrades he had lost during the war in Xyz.
"...We will avenge them..."

Yugo is riding his D-Wheel down a Duel Lane at night, the neon signs and billboards of City aglow with life as he passes by. Out on a boat in the sea, Yuri faces Academia, arms visibly crossed.

Sawatari stands self-assure with a proud grin on his face. Yugo leans on his D-Wheel, sporting a big friendly grin. Serena holds herself ready for battle, the faintest hint of longingness on her face.

Yuya and Yuzu stand close to each other, ready to face the coming battles together. Gongenzaka stands behind of the Standard Pair, arms folded with a steadfast gaze.
I'm Gonna Fight To Tear Apart That Destiny
Yuto stands back-to-back with Kurosaki, who bears a stoic and battle-hardened scowl. Roy is holding up his Duel Disk, trying to look intimidating, failing because he's next to Kurosaki.

Tsukkikage kneels in front of the Akabas, holding an arm out in front of them in a declaration of protection. Reira hides behind Reiji.

Rightmost is Sora, who is consumed by the shadow and looking away from the group. But two hands reach out to him, causing him to turn around towards the light.
Until You Find The Answer
Cut to the Standard, Xyz and Synchro counterparts together on a grassy hill, gazing at the starry night sky. Yuzu and Ruri rest their heads on Yuya and Yuto's shoulders respectively, who in turn drape an arm around them. Rin does the same with Yugo, who blushes redder than Yuya's hair. It is a touching scene….
You're Looking For!
… the screen falls to reveal the Fusion Counterparts falling into darkness. Yuri grins wickedly as his eyes are whited out by a violet glow. Behind him is the shadow of an older boy, face obscured with a monstruous, inhuman smile on his face. Above him, Serena holds out her hand, desperately trying to reach her former friend. The gem on her bracelet shines like a star, cutting through the miasma that surrounds them. Behind her is the golden spirit of an older girl, trying to reach out to the figure behind Yuri as tears flow. The older teens vanish as the Fusion Counterparts' silhouettes turn to black and a large, sinister pair of draconic eyes open wide behind them.
I'll Challenge All My Limits
Crow, Kiryu, the Black Rose Witch, and Jack race in a line on the highway and call forth their dragons; Black-Feather, Infernity Void, Black Rose, and Red Daemon's.
Knowing This Could Be My Only Chance Now
Yuzu and Serena stand together striking Fusion and Pendulum summoning poses respectively. On the right side of the screen behind Yuzu is Bloom Diva, Bloom Lorin, and Prodigy Mozart. On the left side of the screen behind Serena was Cat Dancer, Panther Dancer and Lio Dancer.
To Overcome This Fate That's Come Over Me
On his D-Wheel, Yuya extends his arm outwards as Enlightenment Paladin begins to glow and evolves into a blue and golden warrior with a large sword. The swordsman hovers over Yuya with Odd Eyes Rebellion on it's right and Odd Eyes Wing on it's left.
The Ending Of This Story
Yuri stands in a dark tunnel with a monstrous grin with Starve Venom and Greedy Venom behind him. To his sides are Ruri and Rin with soulless eyes. Behind the girls are Independent Nightingale and Crystal Bell respectively.
I Will Hold It Close As I Wonder So Aimlessly
Yuto and Yugo closely race next to each other on the highway as Dark Rebellion and Clear Wing flew through the sky. Yuto slaps a card on his duel disk causing Dark Rebellion to be consumed by flames and evolve into Dark Rebellion Apocalypse. Yugo throws a card on his duel disk and reaches his hand out to the sky as Clear Wing shined and evolved into Crystal Wing. The two dragons fly at each other full force as and smash their heads against each other as Yuto and Yugo yell with glowing indigo and cyan eyes.
Into This New World
The scene changes to Yuya standing beneath a blue landscape. A pendulum swings above him, draw arcs of light across the sky. Yusho's face is shown over the center of the arcs, smiling down at his son with pride.
The Game Has Only Just Begun
Yuya reaches his hand out as the image of his father fades. He is shown to have a look of surprise on his face...
I Can See It In Your Eyes!
…which quickly turns into a triumphant smile!
(Instrumental)
The screen flashes to Reiji with D/D/D Hell Armageddon on his field sternly standing in front of the laughing Hell Kaiser with the roaring Cyber End Dragon. The scene changes to a worn out Serena and Yuzu kneeling in front of the soulless Rin and Ruri, with the silhouette of Parasite Fusioner behind them. The scene shifts again to Yuya, Yuto, Yugo, and Yuri standing across from each other with glowing eyes and spiked up hair as their dragons roared. The four dragons crash against each other causing a bright light to engulf the screen. The song ends with a shot of the Lancers on the highway in the Synchro Dimension looking up at the screen with the three Yu-boys in the center, each sharing a look of determination.
At the stadium
"Alrighty folks! Who is ready for Team Wings of Victory vs Team Taiyo?!" Melissa asked as the excited crowd.
As Team Wings of Victory made it over to the pit, Shun went straight to his D-Wheel without saying a word.
"Hey! You can't just go off without saying anything! We are a team!" Yugo shouted.
"And you just recovered...are you sure you can duel?" Yuzu asked.
"You have nothing to worry about. I will crush anyone I face." Shun said before driving off.
"Kurosaki..." Yuzu trailed off.
"That guy...!" Yugo grunted.
With Team Taiyo, the three boys were standing around their shared D-Wheel, which wasn't much of a looker. It looked like it was made of scraps from a junk yard, not at all like the others.
"You guys ready?" Taro, the leader of the group, asked his teammates. He wore a red jumpsuit with black pads.
"Yeah! We are counting on you, Yoshizo!" Jinbei said as he patted his teammate on the back. He wore a blue jumpsuit with black pads.
"Right! Leave it to me!" Yoshizo nodded as he got on the D-Wheel and drove off. He wore a green jumpsuit with black pads.
"Alright! Up first for Team Wings of Victory is the powerful Xyz user, Shun Kurosaki! And up first for Team Taiyo is Yoshizo Hayashi!" Melissa yelled as the two made their way to the starting line.
"Look at that D-Wheel!"
"What a piece of junk!"
"Haha! You can really tell these guys are Commons!"
Some Tops in the crowd laughed at the D-Wheel Team Taiyo shared.
"Tch...damn Tops...we'll show you all that it doesn't matter what you have to work with...whether that be common cards or a rusty D-Wheel...anyone can still become champions!" Yoshizo yelled.
"..." Shun didn't even bother to say anything to his opponent. All that mattered to him was crushing who ever he faced.
"Let's get this show on the road! Action Field On! Field Spell, Crossover Accel activate!" Melissa shouted as a sphere of cards bursted, causing them to spread all through out the track.
DUEL MODE: ON! AUTOPILOT, STAND BY!
At the same time, both duelist's duel disk blades activated and a holographic screen with a countdown starting at 3 appeared in front of the two riders.

"RIDING DUEL...ACCELERATION!"

YOSHIZO: 4000 LP vs SHUN: 4000 LP
As both duelist raced off, the so-called "piece of junk" that was Team Taiyo's D-Wheel was surprisingly extremely fast. Though Shun tried to catch up, Yoshizo had too much of a lead and passed the gate and left the stadium first.
"What?!" Shun yelled, being taken by surprise.
"That D-Wheel is fast for looking so old!" Yugo said in a surprised tone.
"Incredible! Yoshizo has passed the gate first and will be taking the first turn!" Melissa yelled.
"Alright! Let's get this started! My turn! I'll start by activating the Continuous Spell, Defensive Maneuvers! This card allows me to normal summon level 4 or lower monsters in face up defense position!" Yoshizo explained.
"What's the point in that?" Yuzu questioned.
"Now, I summon Key Mace! And due to Defensive Maneuvers, it is summoned in face up defense mode!" Yoshizo yelled as a small fairy with blue clothes and a large key in it's hands appeared.

"Huh? A level 1 Normal monster? What is he getting at?" Melissa questioned.
"I set two cards facedown, turn end." Yoshizo concluded.
"If you are holding back, I'll crush you in an instant! My turn! From my hand, I summon Raid Raptors - Vanishing Lanius!" Shun shouted as a green mechanical bird appeared on his field.

"Trap Activate! Hidden Soldiers! Since my opponent summoned a monster, I can bring out a level 4 or lower DARK monster from my hand! I'll bring out Holding-Hands Majin!" Yoshizo yelled as a yellow fiend with large hands appeared in defense mode.

"Holding-Hands Majin's effect activates! It gains DEF equal to the DEF's of all other monsters on my field!" Yoshizo yelled as the fiend and Key Mace held hands, causing it shine.

"And due to Majin's effect, you can't attack other monsters on my field!" Yoshizo smirked.
"So that's his strategy..." Yuya realized."Since Holding-Hands Majin has more DEF then Vanishing Lanius' ATK, Shun can't do anything this turn!" Melissa yelled.
"Those cheap strategies won't help you in the long run. I'll crush you soon enough! I set two cards facedown, turn end!" Shun angrily yelled.
"Sheesh you sure are violent. My turn! From my hand, I summon Juggler in defense mode through Defensive Maneuvers' effect!" Yoshizo yelled as the small magician appeared.

"And through Holding-Hands Majin's effect, it gains Juggler's DEF!" Yoshizo explained as the magician held the fiend's open hand, causing it to glow.

"This crowd is rough as always..." Jinbei nervously said.
"Yeah...but they'll be excited when this duel truly gets going." Taro said with a confident tone.

"Your defense doesn't matter! My turn! I summon Raid Raptors - Napalm Dragonius!" Shun yelled as a mechanical dragon-shaped bird with silver armor appeared.

"Napalm Dragonius' effect activates! Once per turn, this card inflicts 600 points of damage to my opponent!" Shun yelled as his bird blasted fire from it's mouth at Yoshizo.
"Ack!" Yoshizo yelped as he was hit by the flames.

"Shun Kurosaki uses his monster's effect to draw first blood!" Melissa yelled as the crowd cheered.
"Now, I overlay my level 4 Napalm Dragonius and Vanishing Lanius! Avian hunter of the afterlife, seek the truth with your dark eyes, and grasp glory with your sharp talons! Xyz Summon! Take flight! Rank 4! Raid Raptors - Force Strix!" Shun yelled as the blue mechanized owl appeared.

"As expected, Shun Kurosaki has performed an Xyz Summon! But it only has 100 ATK..." Melissa trailed off.
"Next, I activate Force Strix's effect! By using an overlay unit, I can add a level 4 or lower Winged-Beast type to my hand. I add Raid Raptors - Necro Vulture to my hand. Next, I activate the Spell Card, Rank Up Magic Raid Force! This card allows me to rank up Force Strix 1 rank higher!" Shun yelled as his monster turned into dark energy that flew back into the overlay network.
"A Rank-Up?!" Yoshizo gulped.
"Ferocious falcon, break through this fierce battle and spread your wings! Destroy our gathering foes! Rank Up Xyz Change! Come forth! Rank 5! Raid Raptors - Blaze Falcon!" Shun yelled as a blue eyed red and black armored falcon appeared in place of his previous Xyz monster.

"Hah! That monster is far too weak!" Yoshizo yelled.
"Your strategy will fall with this! Blaze Falcon's effect activates! By using an overlay unit, all of your special summoned monsters are destroyed and you take 500 points of damage for each one!" Shun angrily yelled as small red missiles shot out from the falcon's armor.

"Holding-Hands Majin was special summoned..." Yuzu uttered.
"...meaning it will be destroyed and Kurosaki will be able to destroy his other monsters!" Yugo realized.
"I won't let you break our wall of hope! Continuous Trap, Scum Force activate! While I control two or more defense position monsters, monsters in defense position can't be destroyed by spells, traps, or monster effects!" Yoshizo countered as a blue barrier blocked the missiles.
"Now how is he going to get rid of those annoying monsters?" Masumi questioned.
"Tch...due to it's effect, Blaze Falcon can attack the opponent directly! Battle! Go, Blaze Falcon! Direct Attack! Raptor's Break of Thunderclap!" Shun shouted as the flew through the air at high speeds.
Yoshizo gritted his teeth as he raced forward and angled downwards. He reached out and grabbed an Action Card from below, causing him to grin.
"Action Magic, Damage Banish! The damage is reduced to 0!" Yoshizo shouted.
"He blocked his monster's effect and his attack..." Serena muttered in a shocked tone.
"You won't be so lucky next time. Turn end." Shun concluded.
"Let's go! My turn! I summon Drake in defense mode through my Continuous Spell's effect!" Yoshizo yelled as a blue personified bird appeared.

"And now, Holding-Hands Majin gains it's DEF!" Yoshizo exclaimed as the bird held Key Mace's hand, causing it to glow.

"Not so fast! Taste our strength! Trap Activate, Holy Barrier - Mirror Force! Since your monster declared an attack, all of your ATK position monsters are destroyed!" Yoshizo yelled as the Xyz monster rammed into colorful barrier, causing it to be destroyed.
"Mirror Force?!" Yugo gasped.
"Just because our cards are generic and not rare, doesn't mean they aren't powerful!" Yoshizo yelled with a smirk.
"Quick Play Spell, Rank Up Magic Raptor's Force activate! I can summon an Xyz that was destroyed this turn! Revive, Raid Raptors - Blaze Falcon!" Shun yelled as he activated his facedown while Blaze Falcon returned.

"Then, I can rank it up 1 rank higher!" Shun yelled as the falcon turned into dark energy that flew into the overlay network.
"What?!" Yoshizo shouted.
"Prideful falcon, spread your wings dyed in the blood of heroes! Advance through the path of revolution! Rank Up Xyz Change! Come forth! Rank 6! Raid Raptors - Revolution Falcon!" Shun shouted as a new mechanized falcon appeared that had pitch black armor and blood red eyes.

"Revolution Falcon is a strong monster...but it can't really do anything since his opponent's monsters are in DEF position and they can't be destroyed by card effects..." Yuto said in a worried tone.
"Since the battle is over, I summon Raid Raptors Necro Vulture!" Shun yelled as a dark armored vulture appeared.

"Necro Vulture's effect! By releasing itself, I can add a Rank Up Magic in my graveyard to my hand! I add Rank Up Magic Raid Force to my hand!" Shun yelled as the vulture bursted while his spell popped out of his graveyard slot.
"Does that mean...!" Yoshizo realized.
"I activate the Spell Card, Rank Up Magic Raid Force! I now rank up Revolution Falcon 1 rank higher!" Shun shouted as his black falcon turned into dark energy that flew into the overlay network. "Rigorous Falcon, carry the strength of our brethren and unleash it upon all who oppose us! Rank Up Xyz Change! Come forth! Rank 7! Raid Raptors - Arsenal Falcon!"
A large black and green armored falcon with white razor-like blades on it's wings appeared with a loud cry.

"Wow! Two consecutive rank up!" Melissa exclaimed in awe.
"Arsenal Falcon's effect! By using an overlay unit, I can special summoned another copy of Raid Raptors - Napalm Dragonius from my deck! Reinforcement Cry!" Shun yelled as his falcon roared, causing a portal to appear and the mechanical dragon-like bird to fly out of it.

Rank 3! Raid Raptors - Devil Eagle!" Shun shouted as a mechanized eagle with black and red armor appeared in defense mode.

"Skull Eagle's effects increase Devil Eagle's ATK by 300!" Shun yelled as his monster powered up.

"What could that monster do to defeat me?" Dennis smirked.
"Devil Eagle's effect activates! By using an overlay unit, to target a special summoned monster! Then this card inflicts you damage equal to the target's ATK points!" Shun aggressively shouted.

"I target Arsenal Falcon! Therefore, you take 2500 points of damage! And with only 2200 life points left...you lose this duel!" Shun roared. Devil Eagle shot a power blast of purple energy at the panicking Yoshizo, causing a powerful explosion.
"Yoshizo!" Jinbei yelled.
"Action Spell, Acceleration! The effect damage is reduced to 0!" Yoshizo yelled as he raced out of the explosion.
"Tch...you may have dodged that, but you won't dodge this! Raid Raptors - Heel Eagle's effect activates in my graveyard! By banishing it, I can add a Spell or Trap in my graveyard to my hand! I add Rank Up Magic Raid Force to my hand!" Shun yelled as the card popped out of his graveyard.
"Again?!" Yoshizo gasped.
"I activate the Spell Card, Rank Up Magic Raid Force! I rank up Arsenal Falcon 1 rank higher! "Dauntless falcon! Swirl up a raging inferno and become the flash of light that sears the land to ash! Rank Up Xyz Change! Soar! Rank 8! Raid Raptors - Satellite Cannon Falcon!" Shun roared as a bright flash shot out of the overlay network. A huge mechanized falcon covered in white armor appeared. The falcon had red armor along it's oversized wings and head. It's wings and body had multiple energy cannons protruding from them. The falcon had green orbs along it's armor, the red Raid Raptors symbol on it's armor, and glowing red eyes. The falcon flew above Shun with a loud cry.

"Satellite Cannon Falcon already..." Yuto uttered.
"He really is trying to crush his opponent..." Gongenzaka said.
"That monster is still to weak!" Yoshizo yelled.
"Not anymore! I activate the Equip Spell, Xyz Unit! By equipping it to Satellite Cannon Falcon, it gains ATK equal to it's rank times 200! Satellite Cannon Falcon is rank 8...so it gains 1600 ATK!" Shun yelled as his falcon powered up.
Satellite Cannon Falcon (3000/2000)-(4600/2000)
"What?!" Yoshizo shouted in shock.
"He did it!" Yuya exclaimed.
"Battle! Satellite Cannon Falcon, attack Holding-Hands Majin! Eternal Avenge!" Shun roared as his falcon flew high into the sky, up above the atmosphere. It locked onto it's target and fired multiple blasts that formed into a singular gigantic green blast.
"Not a chance! Trap Activate! Castle Walls! This trap increases the DEF of Holding-Hands Majin by 500!" Yoshizo countered as the fiend powered up and began tanking the blast.

"Their ATK and DEF are the same! Meaning, Satellite Cannon Falcon's attack won't destroy Yoshizo's monster!" Melissa exclaimed.

"Huh?!" Yoshizo gasped.
"When a Raid Raptor Xyz monster battles an opponent's monster, I can release another Raid Raptors Xyz monster with a lower rank and the battling monster gains half of the released monster's ATK! I release the 1300 ATK Devil Eagle!" Shun yelled as Devil Eagle bursted into purple energy that flew high into the sky. The energy flew into Satellite Cannon Falcon, causing it to gain a purple aura.

"DESTROY HIS MONSTER!" Shun yelled as the blast gained a purple tint, causing it to overpower and consume the fiend.

"Go, Napalm Dragonius! Attack Juggler!" Shun commanded as his bird shot a fireball at the small magician.
"Tch..." Yoshizo clicked his tongue.

As his life points hit 0, the track split off and Yoshizo was led back into the stadium.
"H-How unexpected! Shun Kurosaki depleted his opponents life points to 0 and it wasn't even his turn!" Melissa said in a surprised tone as the crowd roared in approval.
"Sorry guys..." Yoshizo said.
"Don't sweat it. Jinbei's will start the tenth turn after all." Taro said with a smirk.
"That's right. We are about half way there!" Yoshizo said as he handed Jinbei the remaining cards.
"It's up to you, Jinbei!" Taro patted his teammate's shoulder.
"Yeah! I'll take 'em!" Jinbei nodded before racing off.
"Up next is Jinbei Tanigawa! He inherits 3 normal monsters from his opponent, a continuous spell, and a continuous trap! Will he be able to make more of an impact than his teammate did and defeat Shun Kurosaki who still has 4000 life points?!" Melissa questioned.
"Alright! It's my time to shine!" Jinbei grinned as he drove behind Shun.
"I'll crush you just like your teammate!" Shun angrily yelled.

"My turn! I summon Holding-Hands Majin from my hand!" Jinbei yelled as his copy of the fiend appeared.

"Quick Play Spell, Effect Shut! Your monster's effect is negated and it's destroyed!" Jinbei countered as lightning shot out of the card and destroyed the bird.
"Tch...Battle! Satellite Cannon Falcon, attack Holding-Hands Majin! Eternal Avenge!" Shun yelled as his falcon flew high in the sky once more and shot a powerful green blast at the fiend.
"Our bonds won't be shattered here! Quick Play Spell, Cyclone! A Spell or Trap on the field is destroyed! I destroy Xyz Unit!" Jinbei yelled as a black cyclone blasted out of the card and destroyed the Equip Spell.

The Majin tanked the blast, causing a shockwave that made Shun's D-Wheel slightly wobble.

"Damn you...!" Shun grunted.
"With the hopes of my teammates, I'll definitely win! I'll fight on to carry out Team Taiyo's fighting spirit!" Jinbei yelled with a determined tone.
"..." Shun looked at his opponent with a curious look. He was so blinded by anger from his previous match, he hadn't really paid attention to his opponent's words.
"These bonds and hopes...what do you mean?" Shun asked.
"I'll keep fighting on for my team no matter the odds! I'll fight for our hopes and dreams until the end, no matter what!" Jinbei shouted.
"Heh...you remind me of some friends of mine..." Shun said as he closed his eyes. He thought about his friends back in the Xyz Dimension that were still fighting for their homeland. "You guys are pretty interesting. But I won't take you all lightly! I'll still defeat you!"
"Bring it on!" Jinbei smirked.
"Kurosaki...doesn't seem as mad as he was before..." Yugo noticed.
"I set two cards facedown, turn end! Now, come!" Shun concluded.
"Alright! My turn! I summon Zarigan in defense mode through my Spell's effect!" Jinbei yelled as a lobster appeared.

"It surpasses Holding-Hands Majin's DEF!" Yoshizo shouted in shock.
"This is the end for your monster! Battle! Satellite Cannon Falcon, attack Holding-Hands Majin! ETERNAL AVENGE!" Shun yelled as his falcon shot another powerful blast of green energy at the fiend.
"Don't give up, Jinbei!" Taro cheered.
"I won't give up! Trap Activate, Divine Wind Barrier - Air Force! When an opponent's monster declares an attack, all Attack Position monsters on their field are returned to the hand!" Yoshizo shouted as a green barrier blocked the blast. The green barrier then turned into a hurricane of wind that consumed Devil Eagle and Satellite Cannon Falcon.
"No way!" Yugo yelled in disbelief.
"Grr..." Shun gritted his teeth. He looked at his face down as he thought about his two teammates. He knew his opponents were planning something besides stalling, but without any resources or monsters left, he would be useless. "I have no choice...Trap Activate! Raptor's Raging Explosion!"
Suddenly, the fiery spirit of Satellite Cannon Falcon appeared behind Shun, causing Jinbei to look in disbelief.
"What?! I thought I got rid of that monster!" Jinbei yelled.
"When two or more Raid Raptors Xyz monsters would leave the field, by banishing the one with the highest current ATK, both players take damage equal to that amount!" Shun shouted.
"Satellite Cannon Falcon had 4000 ATK...!" Yuzu uttered.
"...so both of their life points will be reduced to 0!" Yugo realized.
"No way!" Jinbei yelled in disbelief.
"Your team seems to put a lot of faith in each other...so I'll put faith in my team! Do it, Satellite Cannon Falcon!" Shun yelled as his falcon exploded into flames that consumed the field.
"I can't...afford to lose yet! Trap Activate! Holy Elf's Blessing! I gain 300 life points for each monster on the field! There are 5!" Jinbei countered as a green aura healed him.

"Heh..." Shun smirked as the fire consumed both him and Jinbei.

"U-Unbelievable! Despite 4000 damage being dealt to both players, Jinbei Tanigawa managed to outlast Shun Kurosaki!" Melissa yelled as the crowd roared in excitement. The track split off and Shun was led back into the stadium.
"Kurosaki, are you ok?!" Yuzu yelled as she and Yugo ran up to Shun.
"I'm fine..." Shun grunted. He clearly wasn't fully recovered from the previous match and the past duels have taken a toll on him. "Take this..."
Shun took his facedown off of his duel disk and gave it to Yuzu.
"Yugo, may I?" Yuzu turned to Yugo and asked.
"Alright. Go get 'em, Yuzu!" Yugo said with a cheerful look.
"Thanks." Yuzu nodded as she put her helmet on.
"Don't let them keep repeating their turns...keep attacking and don't hold anything back." Shun advised.
"What do you mean?" Yuzu asked as she got ready to drive off.
"They are doing something tricky. Don't let them stay in control." Shun told the girl.
"I'll do my best!" Yuzu nodded before racing off.
"Next up for Team Wings of Victory is Yuzu Hiragi! Go, Yuzu!" Melissa cheered, showing an obvious bias.
The crowd also cheered for the pink haired girl, making the Pendulum duelist blush a bit. She raced out of the stadium and onto the highway where she drove behind Jinbei.
"Let's have a fun duel!" Yuzu shouted with a smile.
"Alright! I won't let you break through our wall!" Jinbei exclaimed.

"Let's go! My turn! 'll definitely break through! With the Scale 3 Rena the Melodious Songstress and the Scale 9 Metronome the Melodious Diva, I set the Pendulum Scale!" Yuzu yelled as a female with long purple hair in a long blue dress rose up into the blue column along with Metronome.

"With this, I can simultaneously summon monsters with levels 4 through 8! Swing Pendulum of Harmony! Draw an arc of beauty and peace across the heavens! Pendulum Summon! Come from the heavens, my monster! From my hand, Bella the Melodious Diva! Vivia the Melodious Songstress!" Yuzu yelled as a golden haired girl in a light pink skirt that carried a bell and a mallet appeared alongside Vivia.

The Melodious monster hit her bell with the mallet, causing a sound wave to hit Jinbei.
"Grr..." Jinbei grunted as his D-Wheel shook.

"Vivia's effect activates! Once per turn, by releasing Melodious monsters on my field, I can target and destroy Spells or Traps on my opponents field! I release Bella to destroy Scum Force!" Yuzu yelled as Vivia sang a tune, causing Bella to burst into a ball of light that shot forward towards the trap.
"I won't let you!" Jinbei yelled as he reached upwards and grabbed in Action Card that was high up. "Action Spell, Runaway! Vivia's effect is negated and you are inflicted 500 damage!"
As Jinbei activated the Action Spell, causing the ball of light to turn back into Bella while Yuzu was damaged.

"Tch...I set a card facedown, turn end!" Yuzu concluded.
"My turn!" Jinbei shouted as he drew. He spotted an Action Card approaching and swerved to the right. Yuzu tried cutting in front, but Team Taiyo's shared D-Wheel was to quick for her. "Action Spell, Fire Crystal! You take 600 damage!"
A fireball shot out of the card and hit Yuzu's D-Wheel, causing her D-Wheel to shake.

Yuzu yelled. The new monster was actually two smaller girls holding each others hands. One was dressed in white while the other was dressed in black. These two appeared next to Sonata.

"What?! You are fusing all of your monsters?!" Jinbei shouted in shock.
"Lovely tune! Wondrous chime! Flowing melody! Duet of harmony! By the guidance of the baton, assemble your power! Fusion Summon! Now, on stage! Level 7! The song of passion! Bloom Prima the Floral Melodious Saint!" Yuzu yelled as her blue haired Fusion in a yellow dressed appeared.

"No way!" Jinbei yelled in shock.
"Battle! Go, Bloom Prima! Attack Holding-Hands Majin! Harmonic Sound Wave!" Yuzu commanded as her monster sang while a blue wave of sound headed for the fiend.
"I got you! Trap Activate! Magical Cylinder!" Jinbei yelled as the two cylinders appeared in front of his monsters.
"That card?!" Yuzu gasped.
"Now your attack is negated and you take damage equal to your own monster's ATK! Your finished!" Jinbei yelled shouted with a smirk.
"That's 4000 damage!" Serena realized.
"Yuzu!" Yuya yelled.
"My show isn't over just yet! Trap Activate! Fusion Guard! The effect activation of a card that would deal damage to me is negated as long as I randomly send a Fusion monster from my deck to my graveyard!" Yuzu yelled as Schubert was sent to the graveyard, causing the Cylinders to explode and the attack to continue.
"In that case..." Jinbei yelled as he reached down for an Action Card on the track and grabbed it. "Action Spell, Great Escape! The battle phase is forced to end!"
"Damn...she was so close!" Yugo grunted.
"Turn end." Yuzu begrudgingly concluded.
"My turn! I activate the Equip Spell, Devil Shield! By equipping it to a fiend-type monster, it gains 400 DEF!" Jinbei yelled as a shield appeared in front of the fiend.

"Now Bloom Prima won't be able to destroy it next turn..." Serena said with a worried tone.
"Turn end! An at this moment, Devil Shield's effect activates! The opponent is dealt 200 points of damage for every defense position monster on my field during the end of my turn! There are 5...so that's 1000 damage!" Jinbei yelled as a blast of dark energy shot out of the shield and hit Yuzu.

"That's his plan...to stall until Yuzu loses to effect damage!" Gongnenzaka realized.
"How cheap..." Masumi grunted.
"Your strategy might be tough...but I won't back down now! My next act will leave the crowd speechless and deplete your life points to zero!" Yuzu declared with a smirk.
"Is that so?" Jinbei asked.
"Sure is! My turn! At this moment, Bloom Prima is no longer effected by Fortissimo so it loses 600 ATK!"

"With my already set scale, Pendulum Summon! Return from my Extra Deck, Bella the Melodious Diva!" Yuzu yelled as her Pendulum monster returned.

"Alright! DRAW!" Yuzu yelled as she drew, causing a pink trail of light for a split second. She held the card up high in the air which was..."The level 4 Solo the Melodious Songstress! So that's 400 damage!"

"From my hand, I summon Solo the Melodious Songstress!" Yuzu yelled as a girl dressed in red appeared.

Bloom Lorin the Melodious Floral Conductor!" Yuzu shouted as her Xyz monster appeared. She had long blonde hair and had a purple and blue dress with pink flowers. She carried a black baton.

"Hah! You can't weaken my monster!" Jinbei yelled but Yuzu just smirked.
"I don't need to weaken your monster! I just need to overpower it! And I'll do that right now! I activate the effect of my Continuous Spell, Fortissimo! I target Bloom Lorin and it gains 600 ATK until my next Standby Phase!"

"Battle! Bloom Lorin, attack Holding-Hands Majin!" Yuzu commanded, causing everyone to gasp.
"What?! My monster still has more DEF!" Jinbei yelled.
"Not for long! This is the combined power of our team! Trap Activate! Overlay Force!" Yuzu shouted as the card Shun left for her flipped open. "Until the end of the turn, I can target an Xyz monster on my field and it gains 600 ATK for each of it's overlay units!"

"4400 ATK?!" Yoshizo gasped.
"Impossible...!" Jinbei uttered in shock.
"Go, VIRTUOSO STREAM!" Yuzu yelled as the Xyz monster fired a blast of blue energy from the tip of her baton at the fiend, completely obliterating it.
"She destroyed it...!" Yuya smiled.
"Tch...even though my monster is gone, I still got my other monsters defending me! You won't deplete my life points that easily!" Jinbei shouted but Yuzu just smirked.
"Is that so?"
"What?!"
"Overlay Force's other effect activates! When the targeted monster fails to inflict battle damage, by detaching all of it's overlay units, I can deal the opponent damage equal to the amount detached times 600!" Yuzu exclaimed as she pointed as her Xyz monster. Bloom Lorin absorbed both of her overlay u it's, causing her to gains a fiery blue aura.

"2 overlay units were detached...so that's 1200 points of damage!" Yugo realized with a grin.
"No way..." Jinbei grunted.
"It's over! Take this!" Yuzu yelled as her monster fired another blast of blue energy that consumed Jinbei, causing him to spin out.

"She did it! Yuzu Hiragi has come out on top in this match up with the power of her and her teammate!" Melissa yelled with a happy expression as the crowd roared in excitement.
"Kurosaki...you really did help her win that..." Yugo said with a surprised look.
"..." Shun just kept his eyes on the track, but he did feel sort of proud. He was still pissed off that he wasn't the one that beat his opponent, but he didn't seem to mind this outcome either. Seeing Yuzu win with an Xyz monster and his own card did remind him of the days where he and Ruri would tag duel against their friends after all.
After the track split off, Jinbei drove back into the stadium and into the pit.
"Damn...we are so close..." Jinbei said as he got off his D-Wheel and gave his cards to Taro.
"Yeah! We are almost there!" Yoshizo grinned.
"Don't worry, I'll definitely connect it. All of our struggles have led up to this upcoming moment!" Taro shouted as he put his helmet on. The three did a three-way fist bump before Taro got on his D-Wheel and drove off.
"The final member of Team Taiyo is Taro Yamashita! Will he somehow manage to best the two remaining members of Team Wings of Victory or will he fall like the rest of his team has thus far?!" Melissa questioned.
"You did well against my teammate. I will carry on his hope and defeat you with our combined power!" Taro shouted with a determined tone.
"Your combined power, eh? I'll show you the power of You Show Duel School!" Yuzu shouted as she thought about her father and the kids.

Yuzu looked at his field with a curious look. 'He has been keeping those monsters on the field for almost the entire match...what if they've just been trying to draw our attention away from them...'
Her eyes than caught attention of Key Mace...the card that was left on the field since the first turn of the duel. She had a gut feeling about that monster for some reason.
"Could she have figured it out...?" Taro asked himself.
"My turn!" Yuzu shouted as she drew. And at that moment, Bloom Lorin's ATK went down since Fortissimo no longer targeted it.

"Fortissimo's effect! I target Bloom Prima this time!" Yuzu shouted as her monster powered up.

"Bloom Prima can make two attacks per turn! Battle! Bloom Prima..." Yuzu trailed off as she tried to decide which monster to go for. "...Attack Key Mace! Harmonic Sound Wave!"
"Tch...I guess you did figure it out. But you are too late! Trap Activate! Pincer Attack! By destroying two monsters on my field, I can destroy a monster on your field! I'll destroy Zarigan and Copix to destroy Bloom Prima!" Taro yelled as his two monsters charged into the Fusion monster, causing a large explosion.

"Ghh...!" Yuzu grunted from the shockwave. "I still have another chance! Go, Bloom Lorin! Attack Key Mace! Virtuoso Stream!"
The Xyz monster shot a powerful blast of blue energy from it's baton directly at Key Mace.
"No!" Yoshizo screamed.
"Stop it, Taro!" Jinbei desperately yelled.
"I'm not done! Counter Trap, Negate Attack activate! The attack is negated and the Battle Phase is forced to end!" Taro countered as a barrier blocked the attack.
"Damn it..." Yuzu grunted. "I end my turn..."
"It's time! We were able to do it! We were able to survive!" Taro shouted making Yuzu concerned and the crowd confused.
"Alright! Show them how we fight!" Yoshizo yelled.
"Blow away their rare cards!" Jinbei yelled.
"My...turn!" Taro yelled as he drew. He placed his card in his hand before picking up another card.
"It seems Taro Yamashita is finally going to make his move!" Melissa yelled.
"As Commoners, we never had access to rare cards...or even good cards in general. We were never able to compare to the Tops and all of their rare cards. And because of that, we decided to strengthen ourselves by using common cards." Taro exclaimed.
"Strengthening yourselves with...common cards?" Yuzu muttered.
"We didn't have much...but we worked with what we did have. These common cards represent us because they aren't anything special by themselves...but when combined and used in a creative way...a miracle can be created! And this card is our miracle!" Taro yelled as he held up a card in the air, causing the Synchro residents to gasp in disbelief.

"Oh no...it all makes sense now...why they were trying to keep that monster on the field..." Crow said as his eyes widened.
"What's so special about that card?" Yuya asked.
"That card is crazy powerful...they are in trouble..." Crow explained with a worried look.
"This card can't be normal summoned...but it can be Advance summoned by releasing a level 1 Normal monster that has been on my field...for 10 or more of my turns!" Taro explained as he looked at Key Mace.
"That's 20 turns in total...most duels don't even last that long..." Yuto uttered.
"What kind of summoning requirement is that?" Masumi questioned.
"That card must be amazingly strong..." Gongenzaka uttered while being worried for his friends.
"It's time to witness the manifestation of our hopes, bonds, and teamwork! I release the level 1 Normal monster, Key Mace!" Taro yelled. Key Mace winked a final time before dissolving into light.
The sky became dark before turning a dark purple color. The clouds turned black and began to swirl above Taro's field.
"Great deity that dwells within the earth! Beckon the call of the vulnerable and arise from your ancient slumber! Crush those who oppose you with your infinite power! Awaken! Level 10! Zushin the Sleeping Giant!" Taro yelled as he slammed his card onto his duel disk. A powerful blast of lightning shot out of the swirl of dark clouds, causing the ground to crumble and break apart. A black entity slowly broke out of the ground and let out a loud roar, causing Yuzu's and Taro's D-Wheels to shake.
The Giant was complete black with a tan cloth covering his legs. He had a necklace with green and red gems on his neck. He also carried a bronze rod. He had red eyes and red hair.

"...That monster is gigantic..." Yuzu gasped as she looked at the giant.
"It's a miracle! A dueling miracle! In a shocking twist of events, Team Taiyo has managed do the unthinkable! The unimaginable! They brought the mighty Zushin the Sleeping Giant! Though this card isn't rare, it's rarely used due to the toughness of it's requirements! But Team Taiyo has amazingly managed to bring it out! This match is out of this world!" Melissa shouted as the crowd roared.
"...I can't believe it..." Yugo said in disbelief.
"Not bad." Jack said from his throne.
"TAIYO! TAIYO! TAIYO! TAIYO!"
"And just like that, the crowd is on their side now..." Yuya noticed. "Yuzu...please be ok..."
"We did it!" Jinbei shouted.
"Go, Taro!" Yoshizo yelled.
"I'll show you the power of Zushin right now! BATTLE! Zushin the Sleeping Giant, attack Bloom Lorin!" Taro commanded.
"But it's ATK...?!" Yuzu questioned.
"At this moment, Zushin's effect activates! When Zushin battles a monster, his ATK becomes equal to the opposing monster's ATK plus 1000!" Taro shouted as his monster roared.

"Go, Zushin Punch!" Taro shouted as the giant's huge fist slammed into the diva, causing a powerful explosion that sent Yuzu's D-Wheel spinning.

Yuzu groomed her teeth as she the D-Wheel straightened out. "The power of that attack was crazy..."
"How can she beat a monster like that..." Yuto said with a worried tone.
"Just one more attack and you are finished. I set two cards facedown, turn end!" Taro concluded.
"Though it might be possible to overpower a monster like that...there is still a way to win...and I'm going to show that right now! My turn!" Yuzu shouted as she drew and saw that her card was none other than her ace monster. "Just what I needed! Now with my set scale, Pendulum Summon! Come on out, Prodigy Mozart the Melodious Maestra!"

"What?!" Yuzu shouted as she saw the giant power through her monster's attack.
"Haha! Go, Zushin! Destroy Bloom Diva! Zushin Punch!" Taro shouted as his monster slammed it's fist into the diva, causing a powerful explosion.

"That's...1600 damage..." Yuzu realized with a horrified look.
"Oh no..." Yuya uttered.
"You're finished! Do it, Zushin!" Taro yelled. The giant grabbed the ball of light and launched it towards Yuzu, causing a powerful explosion of light.

"...That monster is powerful...be careful Yugo..." Yuzu told the boy after pulling into the pit and giving him him Fortissimo, Rena, and Metronome.
"Got it. I'll definitely win!" Yugo shouted as he got on his D-Wheel and drove off. 'This is finally my time! I won't back down! I'll make you proud, Rin!'
"The final match is about to begin! Racing onto the track is Yugo!" Melissa yelled as Yugo raced out of the stadium.
"Isn't that the boy who dueled the king?"

"There's no way he can win while up against Zushin!"

The crowd roared in excitement for the final match as Yugo caught up to his opponent.
"You're a Common too, right?" Taro asked the approaching Speedroid user.
"That's right!" Yugo nodded.
"I see. Let's see whose bonds are stronger!" Taro shouted with a smirk.
"Hell yeah! Let's go!" Yugo yelled with an intense tone.

The monster had a party horn in it's hand and wore a red hat.

"Spread those wonderous and beautiful wings and strike down our enemies at light speed! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 7! Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!" Yugo shouted as the white and blue dragon with a large tail and green crystals appeared in the sky and flew alongside Yugo.

"I don't think so! Breakthrough Skill's effect in the graveyard activates! By banishing it, your monster's effect is negated!" Taro countered as the light dissipated.
"What?!" Yugo shouted in shock.
"And now Zushin's effect continues!" Taro yelled as his giant powered up.

"Taro will win soon enough!" Yoshizo smirked.

"Though that might be a set back...I'm not going to give up! I got plenty of tricks left!" Yugo shouted in a confident tone. "I set two cards facedown, turn end!"

"Not so fast! Continuous Trap, Common Guard!" Taro countered as a dark barrier blocked the light that shot out of the dragon's wings.
"What the hell?!" Yugo questioned.
"While I control monsters on my field with 1000 ATK or less, I can activate this card. And through it's effect, monster's with 1000 ATK or less' effects cannot be negated by other card effects!" Taro explained.
"No way..." Yugo uttered as Zushin's effect continued.

"Counterattack! Zushin Punch!" Taro commanded as the giant went to punch the charging dragon.
"Trap Activate! Synchro Barrier! By releasing Crystal Wing, I take no battle damage this turn!" Yugo shouted as his dragon dispersed into light, causing Zushin's fist to miss.
"Try avoiding this! Trap Activate! Fool's Dice! When an opponent's monster leaves the field, by discarding a level 2 or lower normal monster, you take damage equal that your monster level times 200!" Taro yelled as the purple dice with many sides appeared on his field and began spinning. The dice landed on 1600 as a yellow blast shit out of the dice and blasted Yugo.

"I activate the Quick Play Spell, Double Cyclone! By destroying a Spell or Trap on my field, I can destroy a Spell or Trap on your field! I'll destroy the Continuous Spell, Fortissimo on my field that Yuzu left me to destroy your Continuous Trap, Common Guard!"
A yellow cyclone enveloped his spell while a pink cyclone charged towards Taro's field.
"Trap Activate! Fake Trap! When a Trap Card would be destroyed, I can destroy this card instead!" Taro counted as the pink cyclone consumed his trap.
"You have an answer for everything, don't you?!" Yugo growled with a pissed off tone.
"Heheheh...I'm just fighting with everything I got! I can't afford to hold anything back while fighting for my teammates!" Taro said with a smile.
"That's right! We can't afford to hold back...for the people that have brought us this far! With the set scale, Pendulum Summon! Return from the Extra Deck once more, Clear Wing Fast Dragon!" Yugo yelled as his hybrid Dragon returned.

I'll choose to destroy all other cards on the field! Go, Raging Gale!" Yugo yelled as his monster roared, causing a powerful storm of wind to envelop the field.

"Not a chance!" Taro yelled as he reached up for an Action Card. "Alright! Action Spell, Counter Shock! Your monster's effect is negated!"
A blast of lightning shot out of the card and paralyzed Kitedrake, causing the winds to stop.
"So close...turn end..." Yugo concluded.
"Not bad! You really are putting up a challenge for Zushin! But our combined strength can't be defeated! My turn!" Taro shouted as he drew.
"You are really strong. But I'm not giving up! I will win this duel!" Yugo shouted with a determined tone.
"We'll see about that! Battle! Zushin, attack High-Speedroid Kitedrake! At this moment, Zushin's effect activates!" Taro yelled as his giant powered up.

Taro then smirked as he saw an Action Card in a bubble on the trackand then grabbed it. "Action Spell, Full Turn!Any battle damage is doubled!"
"What?!" Yugo shouted in disbelief.
"That's 2000 damage..." Yuto muttered with a worried tone.
"Finish him! Go, Zushin Punch!" Taro commanded as the giant thrusted it's fist forward.
"I'm not done yet! Three-Eyed Dice's effect activates! By banishing it, your monster's attack is negated!" Yugo shouted as a triangular barrier blocked the punch, saving Kitedrake and Yugo's life points.
"I see you haven't given up despite the circumstances. I set a card facedown, turn end." Taro concluded.
"Don't forget, you aren't the only one fighting for other people! Using my friend's power, I'll definitely defeat you! My turn!" Yugo shouted as he drew, creating a force of wind.
"In that case, come at Zushin and I with your full power!" Taro shouted with a smirk.
"Using the set scale, Pendulum Summon! Return again, Clear Wing Fast Dragon!" Yugo shouted as his dragon returned from the portal.

"...but together, they can!" Yugo finished with a smirk before looking up at the Pendulum Scale. "Rena the Melodious Diva's Pendulum effect activates! Once per turn, I can perform a Fusion Summon!"
"Eh?!" Taro gasped.
"I'm fusing Clear Wing Fast Dragon and High-Speedroid Kitedrake! Dragon with beautiful and wondrous wings! Magical sword in the form of a cross! Merge together and bring forth the ultimate combination of machines and dragons! FUSION SUMMON! Come forth! Level 8! Clear Wing Machine Dragon!" Yugo shouted as his Fusion dragon appeared. The mechanized dragon roared as it flew beside Yugo.

It gains half of the ATK of it's High-Speedroid Fusion material!" Yugo explained as the blue and green crystals on his dragon glowed brightly.

"No matter how much ATK that dragon has, Zushin will overpower it!" Taro shouted.
"We'll see! But first, I'll do this! I activate the Spell Card, Hidden Shot! By banishing Speedroid 5-6-Plane in my graveyard, Common Guard is destroyed!" Yugo shouted as he activated the card he had just drawn. A blast of energy shot out of the card and obliterated the continuous trap.
"Tch..." Taro clicked his tongue in anger.
"I'm ending this right now! BATTLE! Clear Wing Machine Dragon, attack Zushin the Sleeping Giant and end this duel!" Yugo shouted as his monster was coated with blue and green energy as it flew up into the air.
"At this moment, Zushin's effect activates-!"
"Not a chance! Clear Wing Machine Dragon's effect activates! When this monster attacks, by banishing a Machine-type Synchro monster, the battling monster's effects are negated and it loses 300 ATK times the banished monster's level until the end of the turn! I banish Kitedrake!" Yugo shouted as his dragon roared, causing a wave of green energy that caused Zushin to weaken.
"Since Machine Dragon doesn't target, Zushin can't block the effect..." Serena realized.
"And without it's effects, Zushin can't power up!" Yuya exclaimed with a smile.
"And Taro will take 4500 damage." Crow added.
"Impossible..." Taro's eyes widened in shock as he looked at the his weakened monster.
"This can't be!" Yoshizo yelled.
"Don't lose, Taro!" Jinbei screamed.
"This is the end! Go, MECHANIZED AERIAL ASSAULT!" Yugo shouted as his dragon flew downwards leaving a blue and green trail in the air. The dragon slammed into the giant, causing a powerful explosion.
"GRAAH!" Taro yelled as he was consumed by the explosion.

"...What?!" Yugo questioned.
"Zushin and I...aren't done yet!" Taro yelled as he and his giant raced out of the smoke.
"What happened?!" Yugo demanded to know.
"While Commom Guard is in my graveyard, I can banish it to negate the destruction of a monster with 1000 or less ATK and the damage is also halved!" Taro explained with a smirk.
"Damn it...after all that...I couldn't finish it...turn end!" Yugo begrudgingly concluded.
"Wow...you really came close to defeating us. I'm impressed the bonds that you share with those friends of your are strong. But unfortunately for you, the bond between my friends and I are even stronger! I'll show that right now! My turn, draw!" Taro shouted as he violently drew.
"Finish it, Taro!" Jinbei yelled.
"You can do it!" Yoshizo shouted.
"Let's go! I activate the Equip Spell, Zushin Rage!" Taro yelled. The giant gained a fiery aura as it roared, causing a loud echo that made Yugo extremely nervous.
"This doesn't seem good..." Yugo muttered nervously.
"Here we go! BATTLE! Zushin the Sleeping Giant, attack Clear Wing Machine Dragon! And at this moment, Zushin effect activates!"

"Take this! ZUSHIN PUNCH!" Taro shouted as his giant winded his fist back, and slammed his fist into the mechanized dragon, causing a powerful explosion.
"GAAAAH!" Yugo yelled as he was almost knocked off his D-Wheel.

"Zushin Rage's effect activates! When Zushin successfully destroys a monster, all Spells and Traps on your field are destroyed and you take 300 points of damage per destroyed card!" Taro explained with a confident grin.
"W-What?! No way!" Yugo shouted in horror.
"Yugo has two Pendulum cards..." Masumi commented.
"So he will lose..." Gongenzaka said in a a sad tone.
"No way..." Yuto uttered in disbelief.
"This can't be..." Yuya's eyes widened in shock.
"Do it, Zushin! End this duel!" Taro commanded. The giant took a deep breath in and then roared, causing a powerful blast of flames to burst out of his mouth.
"YUGO!" Yuzu cried.
"GRAAAAHH!" Yugo yelled as Yuzu's two Pendulum Cards and himself were consumed by flames, causing a powerful explosion to envelop the entire field.
"Did he really...?" Serena said in shock.
"Heh...that was a good match, but the power of Zushin cannot be stopped. Now you all see the power that even common cards can have!" Taro shouted to the crowd as they cheered.
"I...can still...fight..." Yugo managed to say through the pain as he drove out of the smoke, barely clinging onto life.
YUGO: 400-100 LP
"He survived!" Yuzu cheerfully said.
"Huh?! Why didn't you take 600 damage?!" Taro questioned.
"I banished...the Trap Card...Damage Diet in my graveyard...to half the effect damage." Yugo explained.
"Wait...you sent that card to the graveyard due to Graceful Charity's effect, didn't you?!" Taro questioned.
"Sure did..." Yugo smirked.
"You're something else." Taro complemented his opponent. "I end my turn."
The hurting Speedroid duelist looked at his hand that curled up into a shaking fist. But his fist wasn't shaking out of anger of hatred. It was shaking out of fear. Fear of not being strong enough to accomplish his dream. Fear of getting Shun and Yuzu sent underground by losing this duel. Fear of letting down Yuto and Yuya. Fear of not being strong enough to save Rin.
'Is this really it...is this really all I can do...? I brought out every ace I had...Clear Wing...Fast Dragon...Crystal Wing...Kitedrake...Machine Dragon...and none of them could help me. Can I not do anything else...is this really the end for me...' Yugo uttered as he looked down in shame.
But unknown to the boy, his graveyard slot was giving off a turquoise glow from his ace monster.
"Odd Eyes...?" Yuya looked confused as he saw that his Odd Eyes was glowing brightly while he felt his heart racing. He picked the card up...and his eyes went completely blank. He fell back on his bed, causing his two teammates to panic.
"Dark Rebellion...?" Yuto picked up his glowing Dark Rebellion. He felt his heart beating out of his chest as he looked at his, causing his eyes to go blank. He fell back on his bed, causing his two teammates to rush over in concern.
Yugo closed his eyes in sadness while looking down, causing his visor to go black.
'I'm sorry for being so weak...everyone...'
"Hey, stop whimpering! That won't help you win this duel!" The voice of Yuto said in a stern tone.
"You can't give up! This duel isn't over just yet!" The voice of Yuya said in an encouraging way.
Yugo opened his eyes to find himself in a void where Yuto and Yuya stood in front of him.
"Yuto? Yuya?" Yugo said in shock.
"Yugo, you are a strong duelist. A very strong duelist. There is still hope for your victory in this duel!" Yuto told the Synchro user.
"That's right. You can't give up until the last card is played! You can still turn this situation around!" Yuya added.
"By using our power." Yuto said as he held his fist up, which was coated with blue energy.
"Your opponents fight with the strength of his team. Let's show them the strength of our bond!" Yuya smiled as he held his fist up which was also coated in blue energy.
"You guys..." Yugo uttered with a bit a emotional tone. He then smiled as he held his fist up. "Let's do it! I'll show them the power that connects us together!'
"We'll be right by your side." Yuto nodded.
"Good luck!" Yuya smiled.
The three fist bumped, causing the blue energy to go into Yugo's fist as the void dissipated.
"Alright! Here I go!" Yugo shouted as he placed his hand on his deck. "My turn...DRAW!"
"What the...?" Yuzu blinked as she thought she saw the faint images of Yuto and Yuya beside Yugo as he drew.
"You...still don't give up...despite the odds stacked against you..." Taro said in a surprised tone.
"You aren't the only one fighting with the strength of others! I can't afford to give up, for their sakes and for mine!" Yugo said with a happy look as he thought about his friends.
"I see. You are a worthy opponent!" Taro shouted with a smile.
"You know...you remind me a lot about myself...you mentioned earlier how you and your friends went through many struggles to get where you are." Yugo said to his opponent.
"That's right. We pulled together every possible resource we had to make this D-Wheel. We barely managed to make it here today with our "weak" and "worthless" cards. But we overcame the odds stacked against us and made it this far!" Taro exclaimed with a proud look on his face.
"Rin and I also started out with nothing. We had to win many tournaments to earn enough money to gather tons of different parts for the D-Wheel that we built together. And after losing her...I never thought I was going to be able to accomplish our dream by myself. And then I met new friends..." Yugo said as he thought about his journeys through the Standard Dimension.
Yugo thought about the morning he woke up in Yuya's home. He remembered the kindness and forgiveness he received from Yuto and Yuya for trying to kill them while berserk. He remembered the fun he had while competing in the Miami Championship before Academia attacked. He remembered Yuzu teaching him how to Fusion Summon so he could get stronger.
As he thought about all these moments, he felt the presence of Yuya and Yuto beside him.
"...friends that stood by my side and supported me...friends that saved me from the darkness..." Yuya said together with Yugo.
"...friends that fought by my side...friends that promised to help me save the most important person in my life..." Yuto said in unison with Yugo.
"...these are the people that give me strength! These are the people I am fighting for!" Yugo shouted with Yuya and Yuto.
"I see...in that case, show me that strength!" Taro shouted as he pointed back at Taro.
Yugo looked at his two cards in his hand, knowing exactly what he had to do.
"I set a card facedown. Then, I activate the Spell Card, Shuffle Reborn!" Yuto shouted with Yugo. "This card allows me to revive a monster in my graveyard with it's effects negated! Come back, Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!"
Clear Wing Synchro Dragon (2500/2000) LVL: 7
"Without it's effects, it can't match up to Zushin!" Taro shouted.
"You're right. But luckily, I'm not finished! The other effect of Shuffle Reborn activates! By shuffling my set card into the deck...I can draw a card!" Yugo and Yuto shouted together as he drew.
"Yuto..." Shun uttered as he thought he heard the voice of his best friend.
Yugo looked at his card for a brief moment before smirking at his opponent.
"This is where the climax begins! I activate the Spell Card, Pot of Greed! With this I can draw two cards! This will be the final draw!" Yuya shouted with Yugo.
"Final draw...?" Taro uttered with a worried tone.
"Yuya..." Yuzu uttered as she swore she heard her love's voice.
Yugo placed his hand on the top of his deck as the tops cards began to glow a blue color.
"Let's go...DRAW!" Yugo, Yuto, and Yuya all shouted as Yugo drew his two cards. Yugo's draw created a beautiful trail of blue light, causing the crowd to look in awe.
"Did he get what he needed?!"
"Does he really have a way to beat Zushin?!"
"It's time to end this duel! I activate...the Ritual Spell, Ritual of the Storm!" Yugo and Yuya shouted as Yugo slammed the card onto his duel disk, shocking everyone.
An altar appeared which was a two green statues that looked similar to Clear Wing's head. The altar also had a large cyclone of green wind circling it.
"What?!" Taro shouted.
"Ritual?! When did Yugo get that?!" Yuzu said in shock and amazement.
"By releasing WIND monsters on my field whose total levels are 7 or higher, I can Ritual Summon this monster! I release the level 7 Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!" Yugo and Yuto shouted as Yugo held the remaining Card in his hand upwards.
The Synchro Dragon flew into the cyclone of wind and let out a roar as it turned into 7 stars of light that spun around in the cyclone.
"Dragon born from the storm! Gain the power of the raging winds and fly through the field like a hurricane! RITUAL SUMMON! Come forth! Level 7! CLEAR WING STORM DRAGON!" Yugo, Yuya, and Yuto shouted in sync as a new dragon flew out of the cyclone fo wind. The dragon was similar to Clear Wing but had primarily green armor with dark blue armor plates. The dragon had turquoise colored eyes with turquoise colored prismatic wings. These wings were a bit larger than the dragon's normal form. The dragon roared as it flew beside Yugo, leaving a trail of green wind as it flew through the air.
Clear Wing Storm Dragon (2800/2500) LVL: 7
"A-Amazing! Yugo has managed to bring out a Ritual version of his ace monster!" Melissa shouted in awe.
"Clear Wing Storm Dragon's effect activates! When this card is Ritual Summoned using a Synchro monster, I can negate the effects of all monsters on my opponent's field! And since this effect doesn't target, Zushin can't dodge it!" Yugo shouted with Yuto.
"What?!" Taro shouted in disbelief.
"Go, DICHROIC STORM!" Yugo and Yuya roared. His dragon's turquoise eyes glowed as it let out a powerful roar. The dragon's wings glowed at it flew towards the giant and began circling it, causing it to be consumed by a tornado of shinning wind-like energy.
"Zushin!" Taro cried.
"Without Zushin's effects, Taro will lose!" Jinbei yelled in a scared tone.
"Oh no! Taro!" Yoshizo screamed out.
"Is it really over...?" Shun said in a surprised tone.
"Go, Yugo!" Yuzu cheered.
"This is the climax!" Yugo and Yuya yelled as the Synchro counterpart raised his finger up to the sky as the crowd cheered.
"...You outmatched Zushin..." Taro said as he looked down in disbelief.
"Taro..." Yugo's expression then turned to a sad one as he looked at his opponent. He knew landing this final attack would send Taro and his friends underground and would crush their dream.
"Yugo...you truly are an amazing duelist..." Taro said before looking up with a big smile. "Now come! Give me everything you got! I won't back down!"
"Taro...this duel has been a blast...thank you for reminding me the power of the bonds between my friends and I...but I must end this duel! This is the end!" Yugo shouted as he looked at his dragon.
"Come, Yugo!" Taro shouted.
"BATTLE!" Yuto yelled.
"Clear Wing Storm Dragon...attack Zushin the Sleeping Giant!" Yuya declared.
"End this duel!" Yugo roared as his dragon flew towards the giant.
"Heh..." Taro let out a slight chuckle as he saw the incoming attack. "You may have been able to overcome Zushin...BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN YOU CAN OVERCOME THE TRUE STRENGTH OF TEAM TAIYO!"
"What?!" Yugo shouted in confusion.
"TRAP ACTIVATE, BONDS OF THE COMMON!" Taro shouted as his forgotten facedown flipped open.
"Alright! Show them the power of common cards!" Yoshizo shouted.
"Win this duel, Taro!" Jinbei yelled.
"This card can only be activated when a monster with 0 ATK battles a monster with 2000 ATK or higher! The battling monster gains 800 ATK for every level 3 or lower normal monster in my graveyard!" Taro shouted with a smirk.
Key Mace, Zarigan, Copix, and Drake all appeared behind Zushin as spirits. The four then turned into particles of energy that flew into the giant, causing it to gain a shinning aura.
Zushin (0/0)-(3200/0)
"Zushin has 3200 ATK...and Storm Dragon only has 2800 ATK..." Yuzu noticed.
"...And Yugo only has 100 life points..." Shun realized.
"YOU LOSE!" Taro shouted.
"...Amazing..." Yugo said in a mix of shock and awe.
"Counterattack, Zushin! FINAL ZUSHIN PUNCH!" Taro shouted as his giant thrusted his glowing fist forward.
"YUGO!" Yuzu shouted with a horrified look.
"...Don't you dare lose, Yugo!" Shun surprisingly shouted.
"...I...won't lose here!" Yugo shouted with a determined tone.
"Eh?!" Taro let out with a worried look.
"At this moment, Clear Wing Storm Dragon's effect activates!" Yugo shouted as he held he pointed at his dragon.
"When this monster attacks a special summoned monster, it gains ATK equal to the opposing monster's level times 300!" Yuto exclaimed.
"Since Zushin is level 10...Clear Wing Storm Dragon gains 3000 ATK!" Yuya yelled.
The dragon's crystals on it's body glowed as it bursted into a turquoise aura while powering up.
Storm Dragon (2800/2500)-(5800/2500)
"...5800 ATK..." Taro uttered in disbelief.
"GO, CLEAR WING STORM DRAGON!" Yuto shouted.
"DESTROY ZUSHIN THE SLEEPING GIANT!" Yuya yelled.
"STORMING CYCLONE STRIKE!" Yugo roared as his dragon that was surrounded by a turquoise aura flew high in the air. The dragon continued to fly high and high before speeding downwards in a spinning motion. As the dragon spun, the wind began spinning around it, creating a turquoise downward cyclone.
"...Not bad..." Taro uttered with a smile as he looked down.
The dragon rammed into the fist of the giant with all of it's might. Though it struggled for a brief moment, the dragon drilled through the fist of the giant and smashed into the giant's body. The giant bursted, causing a powerful explosion that consumed Taro completely.
"...Good luck...Yugo..."
TARO: 1750-0 LP
"..." The crowd was left speechless.
"...Is it...really over...?" Melissa said in disbelief.
They all looked in shock and amazement at the duelist that beat the almighty Zushin the Sleeping Giant before screaming with joy.
"WOOHOO!"
"THAT WAS AMAZING!"
"SO COOL!"
"WINGS OF VICTORY! WINGS OF VICTORY! WINGS OF VICTORY!"
"I did it..." Yugo uttered in a tired tone as he stopped in the stadium and got off his D-Wheel. "...No...we did it..."
Yugo felt the presence of Yuya and Yuto leaving as he smiled.
"...Thanks, you two..." Yugo said as he closed his eyes.
"YUGO!" Yuzu yelled with a happy and relieved tone as she ran up to the boy and gave him a big hug, catching him off guard.
"...Yuzu...we did it!" Yugo smiled.
"We sure did. All thanks to you." Yuzu nodded.
Yugo looked at Shun, who looked kind of...happy? He must have been seeing things due to his exhaustion.
Yugo then looked over and saw Team Taiyo being taken away. Although tired, he ran over to the trio.
"Jinbei, Yoshizo, Taro..." Yugo clenched his fist and then pointed his fist at the three. "I've inherited the strength of the bond you share and I'll use that strength to win. I will become King and make things better for people like us."
"Yugo..." Taro uttered before smiling. "I'm counting on you."
"Good luck." Yoshizo said.
"Take care." Jinbei added before the three were taken underground.
"Goodbye...Team Taiyo..." Yugo said with a saddened tone as he watched the three being taken away...
With Team United Hope
"-Yuya! Yuya!" Yuya opened his eyes to the sound of Crow yelling his name after he collapsed.
"You're awake! Are you ok?!" Serena questioned.
"Yeah...I think I just blacked out...but I'm fine." Yuya said as he rubbed his forehead.
"You didn't look fine." Crow said with a worried tone.
"It's no big deal guys. I think I was just still pretty exhausted from my duel with Sora last night..." Yuya said, not really knowing what else to say.
"It might be good for you to get some rest then." Serena said.
"That's a good idea. We do have another duel before ours.Why don't you take a quick nap during this duel that way you won't black on your D-Wheellater." Crow suggested.
"But the next duel-"
"This isn't a debate. We need you for the next match. So shut up and get some rest." Serena said with a stern look.
"If you guys say so..." Yuya said as he walked over to his bed and laid down with his deck in his hand...
With Team Blades of Bravery
"Why won't he wake up?" Masumi asked with a worried tone.
"I don't know...Yuto! Wake up!" Gongenzaka shouted as he tried to shake Yuto.
"...G-Gongenzaka..." Yuto muttered as he got up.
"Yuto! You passed out...Are you alright?" Masumi asked.
"I'm fine...probably just didn't get enough sleep last night." Yuto responded.
"Are you sure-?" Masumi questioned before they heard banging at the door.
"They're here..." Gongnenzaka muttered.
"It's time." Yuto said as he got up from his bed and headed for the door.
"Yuto...are you sure you are ok to duel?" Gongenzaka asked.
"Of course..." Yuto answered.
The boy grabbed his deck and walked towards the door with a serious and determined look.
"Let's get this over with..."
Hey y'all! I was scared that his was going to take awhile but thankfully it didn't. This chapter was a lot of fun to write and was considerably easier since I was able to use Team Taiyo vs Team 5Ds as a source. If you didn't watch 5Ds, Team Taiyo are legacy characters from 5Ds. I recently rewatched 5Ds and I honestly loved their duel and though they it would be cool to include them in the tournament. It also made my job a lot easier.
I hope you guys liked Yugo's new ritual monster. Thank you to Super Shadow 2018 for the idea of Yugo's ritual. I have planned on Yugo receiving a Ritual in this tournament ever since I gave Yuto his Ritual. I think it fits since Yuya and Yuto could use Ritual and Yugo couldn't so when they were synchronizing, Yugo gains the power of Ritual. Sorry to those who though he was gonna get a new Synchro but I think the second round it a bit too early for something like that.
I also had Shun kinda chill out a little bit and take one for the team in order to help his team win. I kinda thought it made sense since seeing the way Team Taiyo fought for each other and had strong bonds reminded him of his pals in the Xyz Dimension, calming him down a bit. And I thought him helping Yuzu win her duel showed that.

Super Shadow 2018: Thanks man! After rewatching 5Ds, I realized how much more awesome he really is. He practically is the only person in the entire series that beat Yusei minus flashbacks.
