Hey guys!I hope you all had a great 4th of July! I'm really happy to get this chapter out there. It was a lot of fun to write. This one is quite a long one. I hope you all enjoy!

With Team United Hope

"These Dark Hunter guys...I've heard stories about them." Crow said.

"Are they trouble?" Serena asked.

"Yeah...there like bounty hunters. They get hired to take out all kinds of people. Sometimes thugs in the Commons. Sometimes even Tops that are causing trouble." Crow said.

"They must be strong duelists. But I doubt they will defeat Yuto and the others." Serena said as she looked at the TV to see Team Blades of Bravery walking to the pit.

"You really have a lot of faith in Yuto." Crow commented.

"Back when I still fought for Academia, I was a mindless soldier that only cared about pleasing the Professor. I tried hurting Yuto and yet he still forgave me for everything. He saw the good in me. Not to mention he is a powerful duelist that has defeated me before, so I'm sure he can deal with these guys." Serena explained.

"I see...if he managed to tie with Kiryu, he's definitely a powerful duelist." Crow added.

"Your old teammate?" Serena asked.

"Yeah..." Crow trailed off.

"You told us what happened with you and Jack...but you never really went into detail about what happened with you and Kiryu." Serena said, causing Crow to look down.

"We...didn't really always agree. He always took a more violent approach to things. And once Jack left...he spiraled out of control. I didn't really see him much after that. He got into some shady stuff and by that point I was already taking care of Tanner, Frank, and Amanda. I couldn't get involved in the stuff he was in. And he certainly didn't want to listen to me." Crow explained in a sad tone.

"I see...I'm sorry for asking." Serena said in a sincere tone.

"Don't be. You deserved to know. We are teammates after all." Crow said with a smile. "How is Yuya doing?"

Serena looked over to the sleeping Yuya. But as she blinked, she saw a purple and pink haired boy sleeping there instead. She quickly shook her head, snapping her back to reality.

"You ok?" Crow asked in a concerned tone.

"I'm fine..." Serena answered.

"Why did you look at Yuya like that? Why did you look so...frightened...?" Crow asked the girl.

"...he reminded me of someone else."

At the Stadium

Both Academia duelists were on the roof of the stadium where they had watched the previous duels. They were scouting out the Lancer's abilities for future battles. Sora was sitting down with his legs dangling at the edge while eating a lollipop. Yuri was standing with his arms crossed and had a bored look on his face.

"These duels sure have been pretty interesting." Sora said as he licked his lollipop.

"Interesting? More like boring. Their skills are not very impressive. There is only a handful of talent in the Lancers." Yuri sighed.

"Who do you have your eye on?" Sora asked.

"Well, the Xyz remnant that beat you seems like a decent opponent." Yuri said with a smirk.

"You don't have to keep bringing it up! I did beat him in our second match after all!" Sora angrily shouted.

"True, but if he had his way, you would have been turned into a card after he defeated you the first time, right?" Yuri said, pissing off Sora.

"Whatever." Sora grunted.

"Moving on, Yuzu Hiragi seems like she has improved quite a bit since we last met. I'm going to enjoy hunting her down once the invasion begins." Yuri said, making Sora sweat.

"W-What about that Synchro user from the last duel? The guy who also had the same face as you." Sora asked, changing the subject.

"Wasn't his name...Fusion?"

"I think it was Yugo..."

"He didn't seem that bad. His dragon seemed pretty nice, but nothing compared to Starve Venom of course." Yuri said with a proud look. "Now that you mention it...the other boy...the one who created Pendulum Summoning...Yuya...he seems like a challenge."

Sora didn't like hearing that. Protecting Yuzu from the Predator Plants user was going to be hard enough. He didn't need Yuri going after them both.

"What about Serena?" Sora asked, making Yuri drop his smug expression.

"...Serena..." Yuri uttered as he looked down.

"You know her?"

"...I don't."

"If that's case, why the hell did you threaten to card me if I didn't successfully capture her?" Sora questioned.

"I just...want the mission to be completed...for the Professor." Yuri answered as he looked up.

"Right..." Sora said, knowing the boy was hiding something. But before he could question further, the voice of Melissa Claire could be heard across the stadium.

"Alright! The third match of the second round is about to start...Team Dark Hunters vs Team Blades of Bravery!" Melissa shouted as the crowd cheered.

"And how could I forget, my prey that got away, Yuto...his skills were admirable when I faced him the first time...but I can tell he had much more power inside of him then he cared to let on." Yuri said with a sinister look.

"What do you mean by that...?" Sora asked.

"He had a hidden...darkness...inside of him. That is where his true power is..."

Yuya stands atop a hill overlooking Miami City, his jacket blowing in the wind as a Leo Corporation jet flies past LDS. Yuto is shown in front of the Duel Sanctuary, gazing at the ruined Heartland.

Yugo is riding his D-Wheel down a Duel Lane at night, the neon signs and billboards of City aglow with life as he passes by. Out on a boat in the sea, Yuri faces Academia, arms visibly crossed.

Odd-Eyes' attack fades, revealing the Four Dimensions. The "Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V" logo appears, the words "Altered Destiny" beneath it. Yuya's Pendulum appears in the background, swinging back and forth before the logo fades. Zoom in on the Standard Dimension to see Yuya walking to You Show Duel School.

I Gotta Crush and Paint Away

The Lancers appear standing in front of the LDS logo. From left to right; Hokuto, Masumi, Yaiba stand back-to-back, ready for battle, Yaiba holding his signature wooden katana over his shoulder.

The Anguish Of My Past For Sake Of My Future

Sawatari stands self-assure with a proud grin on his face. Yugo leans on his D-Wheel, sporting a big friendly grin. Serena holds herself ready for battle, the faintest hint of longingness on her face.

Yuya and Yuzu stand close to each other, ready to face the coming battles together. Gongenzaka stands behind of the Standard Pair, arms folded with a steadfast gaze.

I'm Gonna Fight To Tear Apart That Destiny

Yuto stands back-to-back with Kurosaki, who bears a stoic and battle-hardened scowl. Roy is holding up his Duel Disk, trying to look intimidating, failing because he's next to Kurosaki.

(Ahh-Ahh)

Tsukkikage kneels in front of the Akabas, holding an arm out in front of them in a declaration of protection. Reira hides behind Reiji.

Break Out And Start A Revolution

Rightmost is Sora, who is consumed by the shadow and looking away from the group. But two hands reach out to him, causing him to turn around towards the light.

Until You Find The Answer

Cut to the Standard, Xyz and Synchro counterparts together on a grassy hill, gazing at the starry night sky. Yuzu and Ruri rest their heads on Yuya and Yuto's shoulders respectively, who in turn drape an arm around them. Rin does the same with Yugo, who blushes redder than Yuya's hair. It is a touching scene….

You're Looking For!

… the screen falls to reveal the Fusion Counterparts falling into darkness. Yuri grins wickedly as his eyes are whited out by a violet glow. Behind him is the shadow of an older boy, face obscured with a monstruous, inhuman smile on his face. Above him, Serena holds out her hand, desperately trying to reach her former friend. The gem on her bracelet shines like a star, cutting through the miasma that surrounds them. Behind her is the golden spirit of an older girl, trying to reach out to the figure behind Yuri as tears flow. The older teens vanish as the Fusion Counterparts' silhouettes turn to black and a large, sinister pair of draconic eyes open wide behind them.

I'll Challenge All My Limits

Crow, Kiryu, the Black Rose Witch, and Jack race in a line on the highway and call forth their dragons; Black-Feather, Infernity Void, Black Rose, and Red Daemon's.

Knowing This Could Be My Only Chance Now

Yuzu and Serena stand together striking Fusion and Pendulum summoning poses respectively. On the right side of the screen behind Yuzu is Bloom Diva, Bloom Lorin, and Prodigy Mozart. On the left side of the screen behind Serena was Cat Dancer, Panther Dancer and Lio Dancer.

To Overcome This Fate That's Come Over Me

On his D-Wheel, Yuya extends his arm outwards as Enlightenment Paladin begins to glow and evolves into a blue and golden warrior with a large sword. The swordsman hovers over Yuya with Odd Eyes Rebellion on it's right and Odd Eyes Wing on it's left.

The Ending Of This Story

Yuri stands in a dark tunnel with a monstrous grin with Starve Venom and Greedy Venom behind him. To his sides are Ruri and Rin with soulless eyes. Behind the girls are Independent Nightingale and Crystal Bell respectively.

I Will Hold It Close As I Wonder So Aimlessly

Yuto and Yugo closely race next to each other on the highway as Dark Rebellion and Clear Wing flew through the sky. Yuto slaps a card on his duel disk causing Dark Rebellion to be consumed by flames and evolve into Dark Rebellion Apocalypse. Yugo throws a card on his duel disk and reaches his hand out to the sky as Clear Wing shined and evolved into Crystal Wing. The two dragons fly at each other full force as and smash their heads against each other as Yuto and Yugo yell with glowing indigo and cyan eyes.

Into This New World

The scene changes to Yuya standing beneath a blue landscape. A pendulum swings above him, draw arcs of light across the sky. Yusho's face is shown over the center of the arcs, smiling down at his son with pride.

The Game Has Only Just Begun

Yuya reaches his hand out as the image of his father fades. He is shown to have a look of surprise on his face...

I Can See It In Your Eyes!

…which quickly turns into a triumphant smile!

(Instrumental)

The screen flashes to Reiji with D/D/D Hell Armageddon on his field sternly standing in front of the laughing Hell Kaiser with the roaring Cyber End Dragon. The scene changes to a worn out Serena and Yuzu kneeling in front of the soulless Rin and Ruri, with the silhouette of Parasite Fusioner behind them. The scene shifts again to Yuya, Yuto, Yugo, and Yuri standing across from each other with glowing eyes and spiked up hair as their dragons roared. The four dragons crash against each other causing a bright light to engulf the screen. The song ends with a shot of the Lancers on the highway in the Synchro Dimension looking up at the screen with the three Yu-boys in the center, each sharing a look of determination.

At the stadium

With Team Blades of Bravery, the three had just reached the pit and were preparing for the duel.

"I, the man Gongenzaka, would be honored to start our team off once again." Gongenzaka said with a determined tone.

"Alright, Gongenzaka. Be ready for anything, those guys look tough." Masumi told her teammate.

"Good luck." Yuto nodded.

Gongenzaka put his helmet on and drove off on his D-Wheel to the finishing line.

"Staring off for Team Blades of Bravery is Noboru Gongenzaka! And starting off for Team Dark Hunters is Demack!" Melissa shouted.

The two duelist pulled up on their D-Wheels and stopped at the starting line.

"I, the man Gongenzaka, refuse to let my team down!" Gongenzaka shouted.

"I don't care for what you have to say. Just try to not bore me." Rudger coldly said.

"Why you-!"

"Let's get this show on the road! Action Field On! Field Spell, Crossover Accel activate!" Melissa shouted as a sphere of cards bursted, causing them to spread all through out the track.

DUEL MODE: ON! AUTOPILOT, STAND BY!

At the same time, both duelist's duel disk blades activated and a holographic screen with a countdown starting at 3 appeared in front of the two riders.

3...2...1...

"RIDING DUEL...ACCELERATION!"

"DUEL!"

GONGENZAKA: 4000 LP vs DEMACK: 4000 LP

As the two sped off, they were pretty even at the start with Demack being slightly in front. But surprisingly, the dark hunter slowed up, allowing Gongenzaka to pass the first gate.

"It appears that Demack has let Noboru Gongenzaka take the first turn! Could this be apart of his strategy?!" Melissa asked as the two raced out of the stadium.

"I, the man Gongenzaka, won't let you do as you please! You will be defeated by my Steadfast Dueling! My turn!From my hand, I summon Superheavy Samurai Kagebo-C!" Gongenzaka shouted as a machine warrior holding a flute appeared.

Superheavy Samurai Kagebo-C (500/1000) LVL: 3

"Then, Kagebo-C's effect lets me release it to summon Superheavy Samurai Big Ben-K!" Gongenzaka shouted as the large machine samurai with black, orange, and white armor appeared.

Superheavy Samurai Big Ben-K (1000/3500) LVL:8

"I end my turn with that." Gongenzaka concluded.

"Just like his previous duel, Noboru Gongenzaka builds a powerful defense!" Melissa commented. Although, the samurai user's opponent didn't seem to worried.

"My turn. From my hand, I summon Magician's Ape." Demack said as an ape appeared that was in a green and gold magician's outfit. The magical ape also carried a golden scepter.

Magician's Ape (800/1200) LVL: 3

"Magician's Ape effect activates. Once per turn, by discarding a card from my hand, I can gain control of one monster on my opponent's field!" Demack explained as he sent a card from his hand to the graveyard.

"That means...!" Gongenzaka realized.

"That's right. I'll be taking your Big Ben-K! Cursed Needle!" Demack yelled as he pointed at the samurai. The ape aimed it's scepter at the samurai and fired a purple beam. The beam engulfed the samurai, causing it to be dragged to Demack's field.

"Big Ben-K! How cowardly of you to steal my monster...!" Gongenzaka angrily said as his original ace was taken away from him.

"Battle! Magician's Ape, direct attack!" Demack commanded. A blast of blue lightning shot out of the ape's scepter and shocked Gongenzaka, causing him to yell in pain.

"GRAAAAAH!"

GONGENZAKA: 4000-3200 LP

"Grr..." Gongenzaka grunted. ' This pain...it's almost as if the solid vision was amplified just now...does it have something to do with these guys...?'

"Since Big Ben-K can attack while in defense mode, this duel is over for you." Demack told the Lancer.

"No...I won't lose like this! After taking damage from a direct attack while having no Spells or Traps in my graveyard, I can summon this card in defense mode! Come, Superheavy Samurai Kokorogama-A!" Gongenzaka shouted as a green machine samurai appeared.

Superheavy Samurai Kokorogama-A (100/2100) LVL:3

"In that case, Big Ben-Kwill attack Kokorogama-A!" Demack shouted as the stolen monster leaped forward and smashed into the smaller machine samurai.

"That was close..." Masumi sighed in relief.

"My turn is over." Demack concluded.

"I won't let you get away with taking my monster! My turn! By sending Superheavy Samurai Taima-2 from my hand to the graveyard, I can special summon Superheavy Samurai Horaga-E!" Gongenzaka yelled as a red machine samurai with a trumpet appeared.

Superheavy Samurai Horaga- E (300/600) LVL: 2

"Next, I summon Superheavy Samurai TenB-N!" Gongenzaka yelled as a green machine samurai appeared.

Superheavy Samurai TenB-N (800/1800) LVL: 4

"When this card is successfully summoned I can special summon a Superheavy Samurai monster from my grave! Come back, Superheavy Samurai Taima-2!" Gongenzaka yelled as a red blow torch monster appeared.

Superheavy Samurai Taima-2 (500/300) LVL: 1

"Now, I tune my level 2 Horaga-E to my level 4 TenB-N and level 1 Taima-2! As fast as the wind! As quiet as the forest! Silent ninja, hit the finishing blow! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 7! Superheavy Ninja Shinobi-AC!" Gongenzaka shouted as a small blue and purple armored ninja with a staff appeared.

Superheavy Ninja Shinobi-AC (1200/2800) LVL: 7

"Shinobi-AC can attack in defense mode!" Gongenzaka shouted.

"Now Gongenzaka can destroy Magician's Ape and then gain back control of his monster!" Yuzu realized.

Gongenzaka then noticed an Action Card in a bubble above him. He looked down as he passed it, allowing his opponent to grab the card.

"Battle-"

"It won't be that easy! Action Spell, Intercept! Now I can declare a monster on my field, and you can't attack other monsters until that one is destroyed I target Big Ben-K! And since your monster is weaker, you won't be able to do anything!" Demack shouted.

"In that case, Shinobi-AC's effect activates! By halving it's DEF..." The ninja started meditating as a shadow clone appeared beside it.

Shinobi-AC (1200/2800)-(1200/1400)

"...It can attack my opponent directly!" Gongenzaka explained with a serious look.

"What?!" Demack shouted.

"Go Shinobi-AC! Direct Attack!" Gongenzaka shouted as the shadow clone passed through Big Ben-K and leaped towards Demack. "Shinobi Shadow Slash!"

The shadow clone slashed down on the man, causing him to grunt in pain.

DEMACK: 4000-2600 LP

"That's all I can do for now...turn end." Gongenzaka concluded.

Shinobi-AC (1200/1400)-(1200/2800)

"You're finished. My turn! Magician's Ape's effect activates! I discard a card to take control of Shinobi-AC! Cursed Needle!" Demack exclaimed.

"I won't let you! At this moment, Superheavy Samurai Twin Shield-D's effect in my hand activates! When a level 8 or lower Machine-type monster on my field is targeted by a card effect, I can release that monster to special summon this card! I release Superheavy Ninja Shinobi-AC to special summon Superheavy Samurai Twin Shield-D!" Gongenzaka shouted as his Synchro monster dissolved into particles, causing Magician's Ape's effect to miss.

A large samurai carrying two large shields appeared on Gongenzaka's field. The samurai had grey armor with silver lining along with glowing silver eyes.

Superheavy Samurai Twin Shield-D (0/1000) LVL: 7

"Twin Shield-D's effect allows it to gains the DEF of the monster released for it's summon!" Gongenzaka shouted as the spirit of Shinobi-AC appeared behind his monster.

Twin Shield-D (0/1000)-(0/3800)

"Not only was Noboru Gongenzaka able to dodge his opponent's move, he was able to bring out an even more powerful monster! Amazing!" Melissa shouted.

"I, the man Gongenzaka, won't go down so easy." Gongenzaka said with a stern tone.

"Hmph. I switch Magician's Ape to defense mode."

Magician's Ape (800/1200)-(800/1200)

"I set a card facedown, turn end." Demack concluded.

"My turn! This is it! From my hand, I summon Superheavy Samurai Tama-C!" Gongenzaka yelled as a sphere shaped monster appeared.

Superheavy Samurai Tama-C (100/800) LVL: 2

"Your strategy ends here! This monster allows me to perform a Synchro Summon using a Machine-type monster on my opponent's field!" Gongenzaka explained.

"What?!" Demack shouted in shock.

"I tune my level 2 Tama-C to the level 8 Big Ben-K!" Gongenzaka declared as the sphere turned into two green lights that flew around the stolen monster. "Raging deity, in unison with the soul of a thousand blades, come forth in a spiraling wave! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 10! Superheavy Koujin Susano-O!"

Gongenzaka's powerful machine warrior appeared with turquoise and black armor and a large sword.

Superheavy Koujin Susano-O (2400/3800) LVL: 10

"With two monsters with 3800 DEF that can attack in defense mode, Noboru Gongenzaka has set up an impressive field!" Melissa shouted as the crowd cheered.

"This is the end! Battle! Susano-O, attack Magician's Ape! Kusanagi Sword Slash!" Gongenzaka commanded as his monster swung it's sword at the ape.

"Trap Activate! Defense of the Wild! Beast-type monsters can't be destroyed during this turn!" Demack countered as the ape blocked the sword with it's scepter. And since it was in defense mode, Demack takes no damage.

"Damn...turn end..." Gongenzaka concluded with an angry look.

"My turn. Magician's Ape can only use it's effect while in attack mode so I'll switch it to attack mode."

Magician's Ape (800/1200)-(800/1200)

"Now it's effect! By discarding another card, I gain control of Superheavy Koujin Susano-O! Cursed Needle!" Demack shouted as his ape blast the Synchro monster with purple energy from it's scepter, dragging it to his field.

"Not again..." Gongenzaka grunted as his Synchro ace was taken away from him.

"Even with Susano-O, he can't break through Gongenzaka's Twin Shield-D since they both have equal DEF..." Serena commented.

"I still think he has a plan..." Crow said with a worried look.

"Now, I release Susano-O for an Advance Summon! Come, Fighter's Ape!" Demack shouted as a muscular ape with red fur appeared in the stolen Synchro monster's place.

Fighter's Ape (1900/1200) LVL: 5

"Why would he Advance Summon a weaker monster...?" Gongenzaka wondered.

"I set two cards facedown, turn end." Demack concluded.

'It's probably a trap but...if I don't try and destroy his Magician's Ape, he'll take control of my monster and use it to win the duel...' Gongenzaka thought.

"He either walks into a trap or passes and lets his opponent win..." Yuto said.

"My turn! I, the man Gongenzaka, won't back down! My friends are counting on me to win! Battle! Twin Shield-D, attack Magician's Ape!" Gongenzaka commanded as the samurai threw both of it's shields towards the ape.

"Haha! Trap Activate! Beastly Strike! When an opponent declares an attack while I control two or more Beast-type monsters when an opponent declares an attack, that attack is negated and that monster is destroyed!" Demack countered as his two apes jumped towards the samurai and punched through it's chest, causing an explosion.

"Damn it...!" Gongenzaka yelled. "I...end my turn..."

"My turn. From my hand, I summon the tuner monster, Devil's Ape from my hand!" Demack shouted as a dark ape with black wings appeared.

Devil's Ape (600/600) LVL: 3

"Devil's Ape's effect activates! For each Beast-type on my field, I can increase or decrease the level of a Beast-type on my field by 1. I target Fighter's Ape and now it's level is reduced by 3!" Demack yelled as the fiendish ape's dark aura consumed the warrior ape.

Fighter's Ape LVL: 5-2

"Battle! Fighter's Ape, attack him directly!" Demack commanded as his ape jumped forward and winded it's fist back.

"Twin Shield-D's effect in the graveyard activates! By banishing it when I'm attacked directly, the attack is negated! Also, I can special summon two Twin Shield tokens to my field." Gongenzaka yelled as two mini versions of his monster appeared.

Twin Shield Tokens x2 (0/0) LVL: 1

"In that case, Magician's Ape! Devil's Ape! Attack his tokens!" Demack shouted as his magical ape shot blasted one token with blue lightning while his fiendish ape blast the other token with dark energy.

"I made it through your attacks! This is where my burning counterattack starts!" Gongenzaka declared.

"You aren't out of the woods yet! Trap Activate! Urgent Tuning! This allows me to perform a Synchro Summon!" Demack shouted.

"Huh?!" Gongenzaka gasped.

"Beast born from darkness! Become the ruler who shall lead all things into a world of despair! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 7! Demonic Monkey King Zeman!" Demack shouted as a large monkey with red hair appeared. The monkey had a dark blue outfit and carried a scepter. The monkey also had a crown on his head.

Demonic Monkey King Zeman (2500/1800) LVL: 7

"Amazing! Demack has managed to bring out a Synchro monster during the battle phase, meaning it can still attack his defenseless opponent!" Melissa cheered.

"When Devil's Ape is used as Synchro material, I draw a card. Prepare to feel the wrath of the Dark Hunter's power! Go, Demonic Monkey King Zeman! Attack him directly! Cursed Flare!" Demack shouted as his monster launched a blast of red flames from it's scepter at Gongenzaka.

"Gongenzaka!" Yuzu yelled as she watched her childhood friend get burned by the flames.

"GRAAAAAH!"

GONGENZAKA: 3200-700 LP

"Damn it...the damage he is receiving...it's being amplified!" Yuto realized.

"How horrible..." Masumi's fist clenched in anger.

"Give up, or else you will receive even worse pain." Demack warned.

"I...won't let this be the end for me...my turn...DRAW!" Gongenzaka shouted as he violently drew. "...I activate the effect of Superheavy Samurai Sakashi-E in my hand! By sending this card from my hand to the graveyard while I control no monsters, I can banish a Machine-type Synchro monster in order to add back two Machine-type monsters to my hand whose combined levels are equal to or lower than the banished monster! Gongenzaka sent the blue armored samurai to the graveyard as two cards popped out of his graveyard slot.

The demon beast had white armor with flames protruding from it's back. The monster also carried a dark colored staff with blue orbs on it.

"BATTLE...Kyu-B, attack Demonic Monkey King Zeman! Burning Gaia Shot!" Gongenzaka commanded. The beastly warrior pointed fired a red and orange boats of energy from it's staff at the monkey king.

"Pathetic! Zeman's effect activates! By sending a monster on my field or in my hand to the graveyard, it can negate an attack once per turn!" Demack countered as he discarded a card. The monkey created a barrier of flames that blocked the incoming blast.

"No way..." Gongenzaka uttered in disbelief.

"End you turn!" Demack demanded.

"Tch...turn end..." Gongenzaka looked down as he ended his turn.

"My turn! I activate the Equip Spell, Daemon's Axe' by equipping it to Zeman, it gains 1000 ATK!" Demack yelled as his monster grabbed the axe.

"Take this! CURSED FLARE!" Demack shouted as his monkey blasted a powerful burst of flames towards the demon beast, causing a powerful explosion that shook Gongenzaka's D-Wheel.

"Still clinging onto hope? You won't win." Demack asked.

"I'll prove you wrong! I activate the effect of Sakashi-E in my graveyard! By banishing it along with a Superheavy Synchro monster such as Susano-O, I draw two cards! From my hand, I summon Superheavy Samurai Soul Shine Claw!" Gongenzaka said as the claw like monster appeared.

"I'll switch Kyu-B back to defense mode. And then Soul Shine Claw's effect! I can equip it to Shutendoji-G and it gains 500 DEF!" Gongenzaka shouted as the claw equipped itself to the demon beast's hand.

"It's stronger than Zeman!" Masumi cheered.

"Even so...it's possible that the final card in Demack's hand is a monster...meaning he can negate the attack." Yuto said with a worried tone.

"BATTLE! Kyu-B, attack Demonic Monkey King Zeman! BURNING GAIA FIST!" Gongenzaka yelled as the mechanical fist ignited into flames. The demon beast blasted the fist towards the monkey.

"Have you learned nothing? Zeman's effect activates! Once per turn, by sending a monster on my field or in my hand to the graveyard, the attack is negated!" Demack countered as a wall of flames blocked the fist.

"I'm...not...done yet! Superheavy Samurai Spirit Sword effect in my hand activates! By sending it to the graveyard when a Superheavy monster's attack is negated, that monster can attack again and it gains 1000 ATK!" Gongenzaka shouted as a shinning blade appeared in the Synchro monster's hand.

"He planned on his attack being countered...not bad." Crow said in an impressed tone.

"Go, Kyu-B! Attack Demonic Monkey King Zeman once more! Burning Spirit Slash!" Gongenzaka yelled as the sword ignited into flames. The demon beast galloped towards the monkey and raised the sword high in the air before slashing the monkey down the middle.

Demack covered his face with his arm as his monster exploded into flames.

"With an impressive counterattack, the Samurai duelist has managed to take out his opponent's only monster!" Melissa commented as the crowd cheered.

"Turn end! At this moment, Spirit Sword's effect ends. Also, since you no longer control any special summoned monsters, my monster's effect ends." Gongenzaka concluded. At that moment, the sword in his monster's hands dissolved.

Kyu-B (1900/4900)-(1900/3000)

"I'm surprised you managed to get through my monster. But I won't hold back any longer." Demack said, causing Gongenzaka to become nervous.

"W-What do you mean by that?" Gongenzaka asked.

"You'll find out. My turn, draw." Demack shouted with a smirk as he drew. "You did well. But you are nothing...but a child!"

As Demack spoke, the card he had drawn gained a dark tint, almost as if there was something very off about it.

"I see...he has finally drawn it." Roget smirked. All the pieces were falling together perfectly.

"I don't know why...but I have a bad feeling..." Yuto said as he gripped his chest. He didn't know why, but he could sense an incoming dark presence.

"This is the beginning of the end...I summon the tuner monster, Earthbound Prisoner - Chained Monkey!" Demack shouted as a black entity shaped like a small monkey with chains on it's wrists appeared. The fiend had orange lines running through it.

His monster opened it's mouth and let out a roar as dark energy shot out of it's mouth. The dark energy consumed Kyu-B, causing it's flames to dissipate.

"Now they are tied...are you planning to sacrifice one of your monsters to take out mine?" Gongenzaka asked.

"No...I am going to use one of your monsters!" Demack shouted.

"Geo Ape's effect activates! By banishing two monsters in my graveyard...I can special summon a monster from my opponents graveyard!" Demack explained, shocking everyone.

"What?!" Gongenzaka yelled in disbelief.

"What kind of effect is that?!" Masumi shouted.

"Come to my field, Superheavy Samurai Big Ben-K!" Demack yelled as his ape hit the ground with both of it's fists. The ground broke apart and a yellow light shot out of the ground. The samurai appeared out of the light and it's eyes glowed yellow as it stood on Demack's field.

"...Big Ben-K...it can't be..." Gongenzaka uttered with a horrified look as he looked as his old ace monster turned against him once more.

"Big Ben-K is much stronger than your monster since it can attack in defense mode! Now taste the wrath of your own monster! BATTLE! Big Ben-K...attack Kyu-B!" Demack commanded. The samurai jumped forward and slammed it's fist into the Synchro monster, leaving Gongenzaka defenseless.

"Gongenzaka doesn't have anything left to defend himself with..." Masumi said with a worried look.

"...Damn it...I failed again..." Gongenzaka grunted as he looked down in shame.

"You're finished! Geo Ape, direct attack! FURIOUS WILD FIST!" Demack commanded. The ape beat it's chest with it's fists before leaping forward and punching Gongenzaka. The attack caused him and his D-Wheel to be sent flying through the air.

"GRAAAAH!"

GONGENZAKA: 100-0 LP

"W-Wow! In a shocking twist, Demack brought out a mysterious and crazy powerful Synchro monster that wept the floor with Noboru Gongenzaka!" Melissa shouted as the crowd cheered due to the violence displayed. She then noticed a collapsed Gongenzaka on the side of the track. "W-What is this?! Noboru Gongenzaka has been incapacitated due to Demack's attack! If he can't reach the pit in 1 minute, Team Blades of Bravery will be disqualified!"

"GONGENZAKA!" Masumi screamed in a terrified tone.

"...I...the man Gongenzaka...can't give up...like this..." Gongenzaka muttered as he summoned all of his strength in order to get up.

"Noboru Gongenzaka has managed to get up!" Melissa shouted in a surprised tone.

Gongenzaka used all of his remaining strength to push up his D-Wheel. After managing to get his D-Wheel standing, he slowly sat down on it before passing out.

The autopilot activated once Gongenzaka sat down, causing it to race back into the stadium.

"Amazing! Noboru Gongenzaka has forced his D-Wheel off the ground! Although he lost, he showed a huge amount of determination! And with barely any time left he has made it to the pit! That means this duel isn't over yet folks!" Melissa shouted as the crowd cheered due to the duel continuing.

"Gongenzaka!" Masumi yelled as the samurai duelist fell off his bike after arriving at the last second.

"Masumi, there is no time! You have to get out there!" Yuto told his teammate.

"But-!"

"Go...Masumi...I, the man Gongenzaka... in you..." Gongenzaka uttered.

"...Right. I'll avenge you, Gongenzaka." Masumi nodded as she quickly got on her D-Wheel and drove off.

"Gongenzaka..." Yuzu uttered with a horrified expression. "Masumi...please be safe..."

"Next up for Team Blades of Bravery is Masumi Kotsu! Will she be able to match up against Demack's mighty Earthbound Servant?" Melissa questioned.

"I'm going to kick your ass for what you did to Gongenzaka!" Masumi shouted with a determined tone.

"You still think you can win after what you saw me do to your teammate? How amusing." Demack said with a smirk.

And since it is in defense mode, I take no damage!" Demack countered as the samurai jumped in the way of the hammer.

"How pathetic. My turn! I activate the Spell Card, Pot of Greed! I draw two cards! Next, I activate the Quick Play Spell, Burial from a Different Dimension! This card returns three banished cards to their respective graveyards. I return Magician's Ape and Fighter's Ape to my graveyard and I return Gem-Knight Seraphi to your graveyard!" Demack shouted.

"That means...!" Masumi realized.

"You won't last much longer! Turn end!" Demack concluded.

"My turn! I activate the Spell Card, Pot of Greed! I draw two cards! Then, I activate the Spell Card, Absorb Fusion! This card lets me add a Gem-Knight from my deck to my hand! I add Gem-Knight Garnet! Then, I can perform a Fusion summon by banishing monsters on my field or in my hand!" Masumi shouted with a smirk.

"More fusion monsters won't help you!" Demack shouted.

"We'll see about that! I banish Garnet and Emeral! Crimson truth! Brilliant emerald of good fortune! In a whirlpool of light combine to bring forth a new dazzling radiance! Fusion Summon! Come forth! Level 6! Shinning crimson light! Gem-Knight Ruby!" Masumi shouted as knight with red armor and a blue cape appeared. The knight carried a staff that had a sharp blade at the top.

"From my hand, I summon Gem-Knight Amber!" Masumi shouted as a yellow knight appeared.

"Tch..." Demack click his tongue in irritation.

"You're finished! Battle! Ruby, attack Seraphi! Crimson Slasher!" Masumi commanded as her monster leaped towards the stolen monster and slashed it down the middle.

"Action Spell, Selection of Miracle! I can choose to either negate destruction or halve the damage! I choose to halve the damage!" Demack countered at the last moment as he was hit by a powerful shockwave that caused his D-Wheel to almost spin out.

"I won't give up! Gem Shield's effect in my graveyard activates! By banishing it and a Gem-Knight Fusion monster, the direct attack is negated!" Masumi shouted as she banished Seraphi while the attack was blocked by the shield made up of gems.

"Damn it!" Demack yelled. "I end my turn! You won't be so luck next time!"

"There won't be a next time...because I'm ending this duel right now!" Masumi shouted with a determined tone. "MY TURN!"

"Masumi...you can do it." Yuzu said as she saw her rival fierce expression.

In a whirlpool of light, combine to bring forth a new dazzling radiance! Fusion Summon! Come forth! Level 10! Dazzling lady, Gem-Knight Lady Brilliant Dia!" Masumi shouted as her true ace appeared. The female knight had white armor with purple diamonds on it and had a red cape. The knight carried a sword in her right hand that had a thin blade.

"Action Spell, Damage Banish! The damage is reduced to 0! HAHAHA! You can't win!" Demack laughed.

"You're wrong! I activate the effect of the Spell Card, Gem-Knight Blitz that I just discarded through Brilliant Fusion's effect!"

"What?!"

"While I control a Gem-Knight Fusion monster, I can banish this card in my graveyard to target a Gem-Knight Fusion Monster that destroyed a monster by battle this turn and it can attack again!" Masumi shouted.

"N-No...it can't be..." Demack said as his eyes widened.

"Go, Lady Brilliant Dia! Attack Earthbound Geo Ape and end this duel! MAJESTIC DIAMOND STRIKE!" Masumi commanded as her monster charged forward and stabbed through the Earthbound, causing a huge explosion.

"That was for you...Gongenzaka..." Masumi said as she drove off while Demack was sent back to the stadium.

"Amazing! Masumi Kotsu has managed to defeat Demack and his mighty Earthbound monster!" Melissa shouted.

"She did it!" Yuzu said in a cheerful tone.

"They are stronger than expected." Demack said as he got off of his D-Wheel.

"No matter. I will take out the fodder." Bommer said as he got on his D-Wheel and drove off.

"Up next for Team Dark Hunters is Bommer!" Melissa shouted as the dark hunter caught up to Masumi.

"Beating my teammate was impressive. However, you won't stand a chance against me." Bommer told his opponent.

"That's what you think! I'll definitely win!" Masumi shouted.

"Oh I will! Battle! Lady Brilliant Dia, attack Magic Reactor AID! Majestic Diamond Strike!" Masumi shouted as her monster leaped towards the monster.

"Double Trap Activate! Defense Draw! Fake Explosion Penta!" Bommer countered as the two traps opened up.

"Two traps at once?!" Masumi shouted in a worried tone.

"Defense Draw reduces the damage I would take to 0 and I get to draw a card! Then, Fake Explosion Penta prevents my monster from being destroyed by battle!" Bommer explained with a smirk.

"Damn it..." Masumi grunted.

"Due to Fake Explosion Penta's effect, I can special summon a level 5 monster from my hand! Come out, Summon Reactor AI!" Bommer shouted as a machine with two turbines on it's chest appeared.

"This is the end for you Come forth! Level 8! Giant Bomber Airraid!" Bommer shouted as a giant red and green mech that was a combination of the three monsters appeared on the field.

Masumi saw another Action Card in a bubble high in the air. She reached up for the card as she was hit by the explosion.

"A Fusion?! At this timing?!" Melissa shouted in a surprised tone.

Masumi shouted as her large knight with gem-like armor and a long sword appeared.

"She managed to keep her monster on the field...not bad." Serena said.

"Damn you!" Bommer shouted as his D-Wheel shook.

"Trap Activate! Synchro Endurance! My Synchro monster isn't destroyed by battle! And since it's in defense mode, I take no damage!" Bommer countered as the knight's blade bounced off the Synchro's armor.

"During your end phase, I activate the Trap Card, Ultimate Mine! This card special summons an Ultimate Mine Token!" Bommer yelled as a spiky token appeared.

"Dark Dive Bomber's effect activates! By releasing a monster on my field, you are inflicted damage equal to the released monster's level times 200!I release the level 10 Ultimate Mine Token!" Bommer shouted as the token turned into light that shot into the Synchro monster.

"That'll be 2000 damage...!" Yuzu realized.

"This is the end for you, girl! Take this, Rapid Fire Shot!" Bommer yelled as his monster shot a barrage of bullets at Masumi.

"There's no way...I would lose like this! Trap Activate! Gem-Split! While I control a Gem-Knight Fusion monster, any damage I take this turn is halved!" Masumi shouted as a semi-transparent barrier blocked some of the bullets.

"But you still take 1000 damage!" Bommer shouted as Masumi was hit by some of the bullets.

"This is the beginning of the end for you! I summon the tuner monster, Earthbound Prisoner - Fallen Diver!" Bommer shouted as a sea creature shaped black entity appeared with dark blue lines running through it.The entity had chains wrapped around it.

"Ultimate predator that rules the sea! Rise to the surface and devour your prey! SYNCHRO SUMMON! Come forth! Level 8! Earthbound Servant - Geo Whale!" Bommer shouted as a dark beam shot out of the sky, revealing a gigantic killer whale shaped entity with purple lines running through it.

"This can't be good..." Masumi said in worried tone.

"Hahaha! You're fate is sealed! When Fallen Diver is used as Synchro Material, I can draw a card!" Bommer shouted as he drew.

"You're monster still isn't stronger than Master Dia!" Masumi shouted.

"That doesn't matter! Geo Whale's effect activates! Once per turn, by discarding a card from my hand, I can target a monster on the field and it is destroyed! Then, you take damage equal to half of it's ATK!" Bommer shouted with a smirk.

"W-WHAT?!" Masumi shouted in disbelief.

"This is the end! Do it, Geo Whale! Destroy Gem-Knight Master Dia and finish her off! DROWNING DARKNESS!" Bommer commanded as his monster opened it's huge mouth and fired a blast of purple energy.

"MASUMI!" Yuzu screamed.

"...I...lost..." Masumi said as her eyes widened in fear. The huge purple blast obliterated the knight and Masumi.

Masumi's D-Wheel was sent flying forward on an upcoming turn. But due to the damage caused by the previous attack, the autopilot wasn't going to be able to make the turn.

"Oh no!" Melissa gasped as she covered her mouth with her hand.

"...I...won't let my friends down...!" Masumi shouted as she used the last of her strength to take control of the D-Wheel. She slammed the breaks and swerved to the right, causing her to barely stop right in front of the wall.

"That was close..." Yugo said in relief.

"Masumi...those guys are cruel! They tried to kill Masumi and Gongenzaka!" Yuzu shouted in anger.

"Don't worry. Yuto will make them pay. I'm sure of it." Yugo said with a serious look.

"Damn right." Shun nodded as his eyes stayed locked on the screen.

As Masumi pulled in to the pit, she began to fall off her D-Wheel but Yuto ran over and caught her.

"Masumi...I promise I will avenge you and Gongenzaka. I won't let you down." Yuto said with a determined tone.

"...Thanks Yuto...I believe in you..." Masumi uttered before two medics rushed over and carried her away .

Yuto clenched his fist before he put his helmet on and drove off.

"Team Blades of Bravery's final member is the Phantom Duelist, Yuto! Despite his impressive first outing, will he be able to take on the rest of Team Dark Hunters?!" Melissa questioned as the crowd roared.

"Wrap this duel up, Bommer!"

"Kick his ass, Yuto!"

"And then there was one." Bommer smirked as Yuto caught up to him on the highway.

"How dare you...hurting my comrades is absolutely unforgivable! I'll crush you!" Yuto declared with a pissed tone.

Once per turn, when this card is targeted for an attack, I can discard a card from my hand to negate the attack! I discard this Action Card I picked up and the attack is negated! Blowback Force!"

The Earthbound shot a powerful blast of purple water from it's mouth that sent the black dragon flying back.

"Is he going for mutual destruction?" Serena wondered.

"Action Spell, High Dive! Geo Whale gains 1000 ATK!" Bommer shouted with a smirk.

"That may be true...but Yuto is a powerful duelist...one of the strongest duelists I've ever met." Serena said as she looked at Yuto on the TV.

"...You act like you are strong...but the truth is...you are nothing but a weak coward who hurts people!" Yuto shouted with a serious look in his eyes.

"Oh yeah? Big words coming from someone that is about to lose." Bommer sneered.

"Is that what you think?" Yuto asked as he placed his hand on his deck. "I'm going to win...right now! My turn, draw!"

As Yuto drew his card, his dragon roared, matching the determination to win.

"Let's do it, Dark Rebellion! I activate the Spell Card, Rank Up Magic Phantom Knights Launch! I rank up Dark Rebellion 1 rank higher and use this card as material!" Yuto shouted as his dragon turned into dark energy flying back into the overlay network.

"What?!" Bomber shouted.

"From the depth of purgatory, sing the song of rebellion dedicated to the restless souls! Let it echo for all eternity and appear! RANK UP XYZ CHANGE! Come forth! Rank 5! Dark Requiem Xyz Dragon!" Yuto exclaimed as the evolved form of his ace which was a purple dragon with black and grey armor and stained glass-like wings appeared.

"Unbelievable! Yuto has evolved his dragon through his Rank Up Magic card and has brought out an even more powerful dragon!" Melissa shouted in awe.

"Not for long! Dark Requiem Xyz Dragon's Effect Activate! By using one overlay unit, I can target one of your monsters and that monster's ATK becomes 0. Then, Dark Requiem gains the amount lost! I target Gaia the Magical! Requiest Salvation!" Yuto shouted as the dragon shot dark energy from the orbs on its wings at the Earthbound. The dark energy wrapped around the killer whale, draining all of it's energy.

"Dark Requiem Xyz Dragom...attack Earthbound Servant - Geo Whale!" Yuto shouted as his dragon flew high up in the air. The dragon roared as it opened its stained glass-like wings. "REQUIEST DISASTER DISOBEY!"

The dragon's fang glowed brightly as it dove downwards towards the Earthbound. But unfortunately for Yuto, Bommer managed to grab an Action Card.

"HAH! Geo Whale's effect! By discarding this Action Card, the attack is negated! BLOWBACK FORCE!" Bommer countered as the whale fired purple water from it's mouth that repelled the dragon.

"Damn it...he stopped Yuto's attack..." Yugo grunted.

"I'm not done! I WILL AVENGE THEM!" Yuto shouted as he held up the final card in his hand. "Quick Play Spell, Cyclone activate! A Spell or Trap on the field is destroyed! I choose to destroy Lost Utilities in my Pendulum Zone!"

A large Phantom Knight with grey and blue armor with a dark blue cape appeared with a large trident in it's hands.

Seeing the incoming attack coming from behind him, Yuto reached for an upcoming Action Card. He quickly looked at the card and saw he could use it, causing him to grunt in anger.

"I know what you are trying to do and it won't work! Earthbound Prisoner - Lost Arachnid's effect activates! By banishing it, Earthbound monsters can't be destroyed by battle this turn!" Rudger countered.

"What?!" Yuto yelled.

"Meaning, your monster is now destroyed! Go, Hell Thread!" Rudger shouted as his spider shot a powerful blast of red webs at the knight.

"YUTO!" Yugo and Yuzu shouted.

"Quick Play Spell, Emergency Provisions! By sending Forgotten Dagger to the graveyard, I gain 1000 life points!" Yuto quickly countered before getting hit by the explosion.

"Go, Earthbound Servant - Geo Spider! DIRECT ATTACK! HELL THREAD!" Rudger shouted with a demonic grin as a blast of red webs was fired at Yuto.

"He has no cards on his field he can use...!" Yugo realized.

"There's no way!" Yuzu shouted with a horrified tone.

"Don't you dare lose, Yuto!" Serena shouted at the screen.

"This duel...ISN'T OVER YET!" Yuto shouted with a look of determination in his grey eyes. "I activate the effect of Phantom Knights Mirage Master in my hand! By sending this monster to the graveyard during my opponent's turn, I can set a Normal Trap in my graveyard onto the field!"

Yuto quickly discarded the monster as a set card appeared on his field.

"Huh?!" Rudger shouted in a surprised tone.

"The card set by Mirage Master's effect can be activated the turn it's set! Trap Activate! Defense Draw! I take no damage...and I draw a card! DRAW!" Yuto shouted as he drew while a barrier blocked the attack.

Yuto looked at the card he had drawn and his eyes widened as he saw his Apocalypse Dragon.

"Not bad...not bad at all!" Rudger said with a grin.

"Whenever I survive an attack or inflict damage to you...why do you seem to enjoy it?" Yuto asked.

"Because...each time you inflict damage to me...the pain...it pushes me further!" Rudger shouted.

"What the hell?" Yuto questioned.

"The anger...the rage...these feelings build up and make me even stronger!" Rudger said with a sinister look.

"You're insane!" Yuto shouted.

"Oh please, you and I are very alike". Rudger said, causing Yuto to look confused.

"What the hell do you mean by that?" Yuto asked with a serious look.

"Hahaha! Don't play dumb! Both of us gain our power from our pain! Our rage! But unlike me, you constantly try to minimize your true feelings! You deny power to keep up your calm persona! I embrace my pain and anger in order to become stronger and stronger!" Rudger said with a demonic grin.

"Who, Ruri? That poor girl has you as a savior? No wonder she hasn't been saved yet! HAHAHA!" Rudger laughed.

"...what the hell...did you just say..." Yuto said as his visor went dark.

"Face it, Ruri is just an excuse for your violence! You claim to do all of this for her, but that's just what you tell yourself so you can sleep at night! It's pathetic! You probably don't even care about Ruri-!"

"Don't you dare...SAY HER NAME!" Yuto looked up with glowing blue eyes that replaced his normal grey look.

"There it is! Give in!" Rudger shouted.

"YOU'RE DEAD! My turn...DRAW!" Yuto shouted as he violently drew, causing a powerful force of wind. "I activate the Spell Card, Shuffle Reborn! Revive, Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon!"

"Due to Shuffle Reborn's effect, I shuffle Silent Boots into my deck...to draw a card! DRAW!" Yuto shouted as he drew once more. "Prepare to be incinerated by my rage! I activate the Ritual Spell, Ritual of Apocalypse!"

A circle of flames appeared in front of Yuto with two alters on opposites. The right alter had a flame while the left alter had a purple flame.

"Here it comes! Yuto's Ritual dragon!" Melissa shouted.

"Now I can ritual summon releasing monsters on my field whose levels are equal or higher! But if I have an Xyz Dragon on my field, I can treat monsters with ranks as having level equal to their ranks and I can release them! I release Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon treated as level 4 and the level 4 Phantom Knights Ragged Gloves!" Yuto shouted as his dragon and knight appeared in the circles of flames. The monsters split into spheres of flames that flew around the circle.

"It's here...!" Rudger grinned.

"Dragon born from the raging flames of war! Resurrect with a burning vengeance and destroy everything with your apocalyptic power! RITUAL SUMMON! Come forth! Level 8! DARK REBELLION APOCALYPSE DRAGON!" Yuto shouted as the large Ritual form of his ace appeared which had black armor with golden orbs and purple energy coursing through it. The dragon roared as it bursted out of the flames.

"Dark Rebellion Apocalype Dragon's effect! When this card is ritual summoned, all monsters on your field have their ATK halved and they have their effects negated! And then this card gets 400 ATK for each card effected! POWER ANNIHILATION!" The Dragon shot a powerful golden blast from the center of it's body that hit the Earthbound, paralyzing it.

"HAHAHA! Yes! Show me your anger! SHOW ME YOUR RAGE!" Rudger shouted.

"GRAAH!" Yugo growled as he clutched his heart while his eyes glowed a turquoise color.

"Yugo!" Yuzu shouted as her cracked bracelet began faintly blinking.

"What's going on?! Why is this happening again?!" Shun questioned.

"It's Yuto! Their connection is causing Yugo to feel Yuto's rage!" Yuzu said.

"Damn it...Yuto...GRAAH!" Yugo tried fighting the anger, but the berserk power was taking over him.

"Yuya!" Serena shouted as she ran over to Yuya, who was tossing and turning in his bed. She didn't notice her blinking bracelet.

From the top of the stadium, Yuri clutched his chest as he knelt down in pain.

"This feeling...again..." Yuri said as his eyes began to glow purple.

"Yuri?!" Sora said with a worried tone. "What's happening...?"

"I don't know...but it has something to do with him...!" Yuri said as he pointed at the enraged Yuto.

"Yuto...!" Sora uttered.

"BATTLE! Dark Rebellion Apocalypse Dragon, attack Earthbound Servant - Geo Spider! SEND HIM STRAIGHT TO HELL! BLAZING ARMAGEDDON IMPACT!" Yuto roared with glowing eyes.

The dragon flew high in the air and shot a gold and purple colored spiral of flames at the Earthbound.

"HAHAHA!" Rudger laughed maniacally as he and his spider were enveloped by the flames, causing a powerful explosion.

"HOW THE HELL DID YOU SURVIVE?!" Yuto questioned.

"HAHAHA! Did you really think it would be that easy?! Of course I wouldn't just let you win after getting you angry!" Rudger said with a grin.

"Since an Earthbound monster was attacked, by banishing Earthbound Reverse, I paid half my life points to reduce any damage I would take this turn to 0! You won't win that easily!" Rudger shouted.

"I'll just incinerate on my next turn...TURN END!" Yuto shouted with glowing eyes.

"During the end phase of the turn Earthbound Reverse was banished...I can special summon a Earthbound monster that was destroyed by battle with it's effects negated! Revive, Earthbound Servant - Geo Spider!"

"You showed me your full power...so I'll show you mine! My turn, DRAW!" Rudger shouted like a mad man as he violently drew. "Perfect! From my hand, I summon Earthbound Prisoner - Gate Keeper!"

A bulky humanoid black entity with chains around it appeared. The entity had silver lines running through it.

"Fusion...WHY DO YOU HAVE THAT CARD?!" Yuto questioned with an infuriated look.

"Thats none of your concern. What you should be concerned about is the monster I'm about to summon! I fuse Earthbound Prisoner - Gate Keeper and Earthbound Servant - Geo Spider!" Rudger grinned as he pointed to the sky.

His Earthbound monsters rose up into the fusion vortex and began to swirl together.

"Fiendish arachnid that weaves chaos! Become one with the fiend that guards the gates of hell and spread your wings of death! FUSION SUMMON! Come forth! Level 9! Earthbound Servant - Geo Condor!" Rudger shouted as a wave of darkness consumed the field. A gigantic bird-shaped black entity with crimson lines running through it appeared on the field with a menacing screech.

"Unbelievable! Rudger has pulled out a Fusion Monster out of no where! This is the most intense duel yet!" Melissa shouted as the crowd erupted in cheer.

"Fusion...again...!" Shun shouted as his hand turned into a shaking fist.

"No...Not Fusion...!" Yuto covered his face with his hands with his face as images of his home being destroyed by Academia and Fusion Monsters.

"THIS IS MY FURY! Geo Condor's effect activates! This card's ATK becomes the difference between my life points and 4000! Since I have 50 life points...GEO CONDOR ATK BECOMES 3950! HAHAHA!"

"I...AM NOT DONE YET! Phantom Knight's Mirage Master's effect activates in my graveyard! By banishing it during battle, I can draw a card! And if the drawn card is a Normal Trap, I can activate it from my hand!" Yuto shouted as he placed his hand on his deck. "DRAW!"

As Yuto drew, the crowd went silent for a moment before Yuto flipped flipped over the card and looked at it. "...I won't stop...UNTIL I KILL YOU! The drawn card was Guardraw! This means Apocalypseis switched to defense mode...and I draw a card!"

The condor drilled it's humongous beak through the center of the dragon. The attack caused a powerful shockwave that almost knocked Yuto off of his D-Wheel.

"Go, SOUL DESTROYER !" Rudger yelled as his Earthbound opened it's beak and fired a blast do crimson energy at Yuto, causing him to scream out in pain.

I equip one Xyz Dragon in my graveyard to a dragon-type monster I control and the dragon-type monster gains the equipped monster's original ATK! I equip Dark Requiem Xyz Dragon to Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon!" Yuto shouted as a purple spirit of the evolved dragon appeared behind the Xyz dragon.

"Supreme King?" Reiji muttered as he remembered the card from Yuto's duel with Kaiser.

"BATTLE! Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon...attack Earthbound Servant - Geo Condor! REVOLT OF LIGHTNING...DISOBEY!" Yuto cried as his ace charged forward with glowing fangs.

"HAHAHA! I'm not ready for my fun to end yet!" Rudger shouted with a smirk. "I activate Geo Condor's effect! Once per turn, by halving my life points..."

"...My monster's destruction is negated and the damage is reduced to 0!"

"DAMN IT!" Yuto shouted with an enraged look.

"YES! Keeping giving in! Let your rage take full control!" Rudger shouted.

"You will regret those words!" Yuto shouted as he pointed at the man. "I set a card facedown, turn end!"

"Yugo! Snap out of it, Yugo!" Yuzu shouted at the berserk Yugo.

"I...need to...help him...like he helped me..." Yugo said. Unknown to the others, his Synchro Dragon began glowing before Yugo passed out on the bed.

"Yugo!" Yuzu gasped.

"What's wrong with him?! Is it a nightmare?!" Crow questioned as he looked at Yuya, who was screaming in pain while in bed.

"It's because of Yuto..." Serena said as her bracelet shined. She touched Yuya's hand, causing her bracelet to give off a glow, helping Yuya calm down. Unknown to them, his Pendulum Dragon shined.

"HAHAHA! This duel has been quite interesting ever since you gave into your anger! To think that Ruri girl would be the cause of so much pain. I guess I was wrong about your care for her." Rudger said with a smirk.

"STOP SAYING HER NAME!" Yuto demanded.

"And to think...you made it this far just to lose a Fusion Monster...HOW PITIFUL!" Rudger shouted.

"SHUT UP!" Yuto shouted before clutching his forehead and screaming in pain.

"EXCELLENT! Give in!" Rudger shouted.

"No...Yuto..." The voice of his Synchro counterpart spoke.

"Don't...give in to hate..." The voice of his Standard counterpart spoke.

"That's right...I can't...be consumed...I will stay in control..." Yuto shouted as his eyes regained their normal grey color.

"What are you doing?! Stop fighting your anger! Let it take control!" Rudger shouted at Yuto.

"I won't...let that happen...not again...!" Yuto said with a determined yet exhausted tone.

"If you refuse to show your true power...I WILL END THIS DUEL! MY TURN! I activate the Spell Card, Earthbound Hurricane! Since I control an Earthbound Servant, all face up spells and traps are all returned back into the deck!" Rudger shouted as a dark force of wind consumed Lost Utilities and Supreme King Fangs.

"Without Yuto's Equip Spell, his dragon's ATK drop to it's normal value!" Melissa exclaimed.

Dark Rebellion (5500/2000)-(2500/2000)

"And since two or more cards were returned, I can draw a card!" Rudger smirked as he drew.

"He can't lose..." Serena uttered.

"Yuto..." Shun said in shock.

"HAHAHA! BATTLE! Geo Condor...attack Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon! DEATH SINGULARITY!" Rudger shouted as his monster drilled it's beak into Dark Rebellion, causing a massive explosion.

"GAAAAAHHH!" Yuto shouted as he was blown away.

"YUTO!" Yuzu, Shun, and Serena all shouted.

YUTO: 50-25 LP

"WHAT?!" Rudger questioned.

"...I...activate the Trap Card...Mirror Shade...to half my life points in order to take no damage..." Yuto said, barely clinging onto his D-Wheel.

"Even so...Geo Condor's effect activates! Since it failed to inflict battle damage, your life points are halved! SOUL DESTROYER!" Rudger yelled as another crimson blast demolished Yuto.

"GRAAAH!"

YUTO: 25-13 LP

"Yuto is barely hanging on with an unbelievable 13 life points! How can he still keep dueling?! This is history in the making!" Melissa shouted as the crowd roared.

"He survived..." Yuzu said

"You won't last much longer. I'll kill you soon enough. I set a card facedown, turn end! TAKE YOUR LAST TURN!" Rudger shouted.

Yuto could feel his grip loosening on his D-Wheel. He felt like he could pass out at any given moment.

Even with the power of his Ritual dragon and his rage, he still couldn't win the duel...

Was this truly the end for him?

Was he really going to lose here?

Was he really going to fail Ruri?

"Face it, the only way you can stand a chance against me is if you give into your anger!" Rudger shouted at the boy.

'Is he really right...is the only way I can win through my anger...?'

"Yuto...don't give in!"

"You can still win this duel!"

As Yuto looked up, he was in a black void with Yuya and Yugo looking at him.

"Guys...I'm so sorry...I can feel my anger affecting our connection...I don't want to hurt you guys..." Yuto said in a sad tone.

"Don't worry about that. Don't let that guy get in your head." Yuya said.

"That guy is full of crap! You don't fight to cause destruction, you fight for the people you care about!" Yugo exclaimed.

"The people...I care about...that's right." Yuto said as he put his hand on his heart.

"We can't let ourselves be consumed by anger. We have to hold on to what we are fighting for." Yuya said as he put his hand on Yuto's shoulder.

"That's right. We'll definitely save Ruri along with Rin. Now go kick that guy's ass!" Yugo reassured Yutoas he put his hand on Yuto's other shoulder.

"Thanks...for everything..." Yuto said as he uncharacteristically smiled.

Suddenly Yuya and Yugo passed turquoise energy from their hands into Yuto, causing the void to be enveloped by the light.

"Since you refuse to use your full strength, I'll end you on my next turn! TAKE YOUR FINAL TURN!" Rudger shouted.

"...I don't need to be consumed by anger...to use my full strength!" Yuto shouted with a determined look as he put his hand on his heart. Yuya and Yugo appeared as spirits behind the boy, not being visible to his opponent.

"...Yuya...Yugo...?!" Serena and Yuzu said. Both of them blinked, swearing they saw the boys next to Yuto.

"Is that so? Then face me already!" Rudger shouted.

"We don't gain strength from rage...what we fight for gives us our strength!" Yuto shouted as he clenched his heart, causing his fist to become wrapped with turquoise energy.

"You're pathetic for making such a statement! I WILL CRUSH YOU!" Rudger yelled like a mad man.

"I fight to protect my friends!" Yugo and Yuto shouted.

"I fight to defeat those who hurt others with dueling!" Yuya and Yuto shouted.

"That is what gives me strength! That is why I will win!" Yuto shouted as he placed his hand on his deck, causing the top card of his deck to shine.

"What is this light?!" Rudger questioned.

"This light represents the strength I've gained from my friends and my will to protect them! MY TURN...DRAW!"

As Yuto frantically drew his card, he left a trail of turquoise light that left the crowd speechless.

"From my hand...I summon the tuner monster...Phantom Knights Undead Specter!" Yuto shouted a small blue ghostly figure appeared with grey armor.

"T-Tuner monster...?!" Shun uttered in shock.

"That means...!" Serena realized.

"Phantom Knights Undead Specter's effect activates! Revive, Phantom Knights Soul Saber!" Yugo and Yuto yelled as the Xyz monster jumped out of a dark portal.

"Now...I tune my level 2 Phantom Knights Undead Specter...to my rank 7 Phantom Knights Soul Saber!" Yuto shouted as his monster turned into two green rings that flew around the Xyz monster, causing it to turn into sevens dark stars.

"What in the world?! Yuto is using an Xyz monster to Synchro Summon!" Melissa jaw dropped in shock.

"Massacred souls of war consumed by darkness! Resonate into a single warrior and resurrect onto the battlefield with your blade of vengeance! SYNCHRO SUMMON! Come forth! Level 9! Phantom Knights Vengeful Paladin!" Yuto, Yugo, and Yuya shouted together. A paladin similar to Enlightenment Paladin but with dark blue clothing under sharp black armor appeared. The black armor had purple lining and the paladin carried a long-sword with a blue blade and a black grip. The knight had purple eyes dark blue hair.

Phantom Knights Vengeful Paladin (2700/2200) LVL:9

"BUT HOW?!" Rudger questioned.

"Vengeful Paladin can be Synchro Summoned using a Phantom Knights Xyz monster as Synchro material by treating it's rank as it's level!" Yuto explained.

"Incredible! Absolutely incredible! Yuto has Synchro Summoned a new monster! How unexpected!" Melissa shouted as the crowd cheered.

"Vengeful Paladin's effect activates! When this card is Synchro Summoned, the Xyz monster used as Synchro material is equipped to this card!" Yuto shouted as the spirit of Soul Saber was absorbed into the Synchro monster.

"That monster is still far too weak!" Rudger shouted.

"That's not true...because during the Battle Phase...Vengeful Paladin gains ATK equal to the equipped monster's ATK!"

"BATTLE! Phantom Knights Vengeful Paladin...attack Earthbound Servant - Geo Condor!" Yuto shouted as the paladin leaped upwards. "At this moment, Vengeful Paladin's effect activates! Since Soul Saber's ATK was 3000...Vengeful Paladin gains that amount!"

As the paladin leaped upwards, the long-sword he carried gained a shinning blue glow.

"You...HAVE LOST! TRAP ACTIVATE! EARTHBOUND ENERGIZE!" Rudger angrily shouted as his trap flipped open. "By banishing an Earthbound Servant in my graveyard when an Earthbound Servant battles, it gains ATK equal to the banished monster's ATK! I BANISH THE 3000 ATK EARTHBOUND SERVANT - GEO SPIDER!"

"No way!" Crow shouted in shock.

"HAHAHA! NOW DIE! DEATH SINGULARITY!" Rudger commanded.

"I refuse to lose!" Yuya and Yuto shouted.

"I will protect them!" Yugo and Yuto yelled.

"Vengeful Paladin's other effect activates! Once per turn, when this monster attacks another monster, by banishing a Phantom Knights Xyz monster in my graveyard, the opposing monsters loses ATK equal to half of the ATK of the banished monster!" Yuto shouted with a determined look.

"NO WAY!" Rudger shouted.

"I banish the 2800 ATK Haunted Trident..." Yuya and Yuto started.

"...which means your loses 1400 ATK!" Yugo and Yuto continued.

"REVENGE FALL!" Yuto roared. Haunted Trident appeared as a dark spirit behind the Synchro monster and rushed forward. The Xyz monster stabbed through the center of the bird with it's trident, causing it to screech in pain.

Geo Condor (6975/0)-(5575/0)

"Thatwill be 125 damage!" Melissa shouted.

"IMPOSSIBLE!" Rudger shouted in disbelief.

"Go, Vengeful Paladin!" Yuto, Yugo, and Yuya shouted together. The paladin raised it's blade high in the air. The blade glowed a light blue color as it extended towards the sky as a humongous energy blade.

"Even so...I can still live! Geo Condor's effect! By halving my life points-!"

"That won't work! Due to Vengeful Paladin's effect, if the Xyz monster equipped to this card is Rank 5 or higher, the battling monster can't activate it's effects!" Yuto shouted.

"...There's...no way...!"

"PHANTOM BLADE - DARKNESS PUNISHER!" Yuto, Yugo, and Yuya shouted together.

As the Paladin began to descend from midair, it swung it's blade downwards, slashing down the middle of the Fusion. The Earthbound let out a final cry as it exploded, causing a humongous explosion that consumed Rudger.

"DAMN YOU! GRAAAAAAAH!"

RUDGER: 25-0 LP

WINNER: TEAM BLADES OF BRAVERY

"He did it! Yuto pulled off an amazing comeback, defeating two of Team Dark Hunter's duelist! This boy is unstoppable! Could he be the one destined to face off against the king this year?!" Melissa shouted as the crowd roared in excitement.

"YUTO! YUTO! YUTO!"

"He did it..." Serena smiled.

"Good one, Yuto." Shun said in a somewhat happy tone.

As Rudger laid on the track, Yuto looked up in the sky to see the report helicopter flying back to the stadium, meaning the cameras were gone. Yuto drove up to the injured man and stopped. He got off of his D-Wheel and knelt down.

"You...really did a number on me...you're just like me..." Rudger uttered.

"We are nothing alike. I didn't enjoy this." Yuto retorted.

"...Heh...Heh...Heh...we both know that's not the truth..." Rudger weakly laughed, not believing the boy.

"...You want to know the truth?" Yuto coldly said with as darkness covered the top of his face. "I'm not like them. I will do what is necessary. I will protect them. I will save Ruri. I won't show mercy to pieces of shit like you."

Yuto lifted his foot up and stepped on the man's chest, causing him to cry out in pain.

"GAAH!" Rudger yelled.

"Answer the question...Who the hell gave you that Fusion monster...?" Yuto sternly said as he lifted up his face with a menacing look in his eyes.

"...go to hell..." Rudger smirked.

"...Fine." Yuto said as he pushed his foot down harder.

"GAAAH!"

"Was it Academia? Who?! Who gave you that card?!" Yuto shouted as he saw the lights of emergency vehicles in the distance.

"...Ro...get..." Rudger said before passing out due to the pain.

"Roget..." Yuto's eyes widened as he uttered the name.

He thought about everything that had happened in this dimension that lead up to this point. Roget had tried to get rid of the Lancers since the second they entered this dimension. Team Security all had Fusion monsters and Roget lead Security. He tried keeping them in prison and tried taking away Yuzu and Serena when they got arrested before the tournament. It all made sense.

"...Good riddance." Yuto said as he stepped off the man's chest. He got back on his D-Wheel and drove off as the medical team got there.

"Approaching is the final match of the second round...Team Unicorn vs Team United Hope! Things are about to get crazy! Don't go anywhere! And remember, WE ARE ALL FRIENDS!" Melissa shouted as she winked at the camera.

With Roget

In his observation room, Roget sat in his chair while watching multiple screens. Kiryu stood behind him and the Black Rose Witch and Sergey stood far in the back.

"I guess getting those guys on your side and making those cards for them were a waste of time. We are the only team left that is working for you, but I'm sure you expected that outcome." Kiryu smirked.

"This duel...was a successful step in my plan." Roget said as he fiddled with a chess piece in his hand.

"How?" Kiryu's eye brow raised.

"That boy...Yuto...will be my weapon that will destroy the Lancers!"

With Yuri and Sora

"You done going crazy?" Sora asked with an annoyed tone.

"I hate this dimension. I can't wait for it to be destroyed when Academia gets here." Yuri crossed his arms.

"It isn't the dimension. It's obviously those people that look like you." Sora said.

"Like I don't know that already. When I'm around them, I feel an unstoppable force of power throughout my body. That's why I hate being stuck waiting here. It's so tempting to just go hunt them down, you know~?" Yuri said with a devilish look.

"Sure..." Sora nervously agreed. He couldn't let this guy get to Yuya.

With Team Wings of Victory

"Woah...what happened..." Yugo groaned as he got up and rubbed his head.

"Yugo! What the hell was that?!" Yuzu questioned.

"I don't know...Yuto...I could feel his anger...and then I passed out...Yuto won, right?" Yugo asked.

"Yeah, but how did you know?" Shun asked.

"Wild guess." Yugo said with a slight smile.

"This isn't a joking matter! This is the second time Yuto has caused you to go crazy! And this time you passed out! What will happen next time you guys berserk out?!" Yuzu questioned.

"Relax! Look at me! I'm fine." Yugo said as he placed his hands on Yuzu's shoulder.

"DON'T TOUCH ME WHEN I'M ANGRY!" Yuzu roared as she summoned her magical paper fan and slapped Yugo's face.

"OW! What the hell was that for?!" Yugo asked as he rubbed his cheek.

"That was for getting knocked out and then pretending like everything's fine! And I don't even know how Yuya is but I'm guessing the same thing happened! I don't want him to go berserk again!" Yuzu shouted at Yugo.

"Yuya...that's what this is about." Yugo realized. "Listen Yuzu, you don't need to worry about Yuya. He's strong. I'm sure he is fine. He's got Crow and Serena with him after all." Yugo said with a comforting look.

"Yeah, you're right...but I can't help but worry." Yuzu sighed.

"Because you looove him, right?" Yugo sneered.

"Did I just hear that you wanted to be slapped by my fan again?!" Yuzu questioned with a fire in her eyes.

"NONONO!" Yugo whimpered.

"Good. That's what I thought." Yuzu smiled.

"Thank god..." Yugo sighed, being glad he wasn't slapped again.

"Moving on...what is up with Yuto...?" Yuzu wondered.

"I don't know...but I think his worries about Ruri are growing..." Yugo said.

"Ruri..." Shun uttered as he heard his sisters name.

"And besides that, Yuya is up next right? His opponents are Team Unicorn, a pro team. They have some of the topped ranked Speed duelists on that team. This will certainly be a difficult challenge." Yugo said with a worried look.

'Yuya...please be safe...' Yuzu prayed in her mind as he touched her cracked bracelet.

With Team United Hope

"Ugh...I'm up..." Yuya rubbed his head as he got up.

"Did you have a nightmare or something?" Crow asked, trying to figure out why Yuya was going crazy in his sleep.

"I don't really remember...but it's definitely possible." Yuya said as he put on his jacket.

"Yuya..." Serena began. She wanted to question him further, but she knew they didn't have much time before they were retrieved. "...We are up. Yuto's team won their match."

"I knew they would." Yuya said with a smile. He looked at his deck for a brief moment which had his Smile World Spell Card at the bottom before putting it in his pocket.

"But there's something else...Gongenzaka...was heavily damaged from the match and was taken away on a stretcher...so was Masumi..." Serena said with a saddened tone.

"Gongenzaka...!" Yuya uttered as he gritted his teeth and tightened his fist. Though hearing that his best friend was injured made him angry, he remember what he had been through recently. He didn't want to be enraged. He wanted to entertain the crowd and show them true dueling. He couldn't do that by going in angered.

He took a deep breath and calmed down, letting go of his fist.

"Thanks for telling me...I'm sure they will be ok." Yuya said with a hopeful look.

The three then turned their heads to the door as they head knocking.

"Alright! Let's go get'em!" Crow said as he cracked his knuckles before walking out.

Serena looked down for a moment before exiting the door. She was still unsure about a lot of things that were to come.

Yuya saw this and put his hand on her shoulder, silently telling her it would be alright.

The girl looked back and nodded before walking out of the room with a determined look.

Yuya grabbed his Pendulum for a brief moment as he stopped in the doorway. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes as he thought about what he was trying to accomplish. He exhaled as he opened his eyes with a smile.

"The fun...has just begun." Yuya said to himself as he walked out...

Wow! That was pretty long! That was definitely my favorite duel I've written so far in this tournament. I had so much fun with this and enjoyed every part.

Though I said Demack, Bommer, and Rudger weren't Dark Signers, I never said they wouldn't use Earthbounds. And seeing that they were working with Roget, I thought it'd be a pretty cool reference to 5D's to give them Earthbounds. This is a legacy series after all. And if you didn't know, Geo Ape represented Cusillu, Geo Whale represented Chacu Challhua, Geo Spider represented Uru, and Geo Condor represented Wiraqocha Rasca and I may have made some color changes.

As for Yuto's new Synchro, I always planned on giving him a Synchro. I went with an actual PK monster instead of another Dark Rebellion to kind of contrast with Yuya's Enlightenment Paladin. Yuto getting a Synchro Dark Rebellion variant is still very much possible.

For the plot portion, Roget has plans for Yuto. Unlike the anime where he targeted Yuya, he seemed to have found a new and even more suitable weapon of chaos. Yuri is getting agitated for his upcoming duels. This could lead to him making drastic moves in the nearby future.
