"The final match of the round is beginning..." Shun said.

"Team Unicorn is tough, but I'm sure Yuya, Serena, and Crow can handle them." Yugo said.

"I hope so..." Yuzu muttered.

"Listen Yuzu, I understand that you are worried about Yuya with what has been happening with him, Yuto, and and I. But I'm sure Yuya will be completelyfine. He's one of the strongest guys I've met." Yugo comforted the girl.

"Thank you, Yugo. I needed to hear that." Yuzu said with asmile.

As Yuto walked through the tunnel alone after his teammates were brutally beaten, he was left to his thoughts on the knowledge he had just gained.

Roget was the one who supplied the Fusion monsters, meaning he must be from Academia.

"That bastard...when I get my hands on him...I'll-!" Yuto was cut off as he noticed smoke bursting from thevents. He began to cough as his body felt limp. His vision began to blur as he saw multiple men with gas masks on approach him. He tried to fight them,but he fell into unconsciousnessbefore being carried away...

Cut to the Standard, Xyz and Synchro counterparts together on a grassy hill, gazing at the starry night sky. Yuzu and Ruri rest their heads on Yuya and Yuto's shoulders respectively, who in turn drape an arm around them. Rin does the same with Yugo, who blushes redder than Yuya's hair. It is a touching scene…

You're Looking For!

… the screen falls to reveal the Fusion Counterparts falling into darkness. Yuri grins wickedly as his eyes are whited out by a violet glow. Behind him is the shadow of an older boy, face obscured with a monstruous, inhuman smile on his face. Above him, Serena holds out her hand, desperately trying to reach her former friend. The gem on her bracelet shines like a star, cutting through the miasma that surrounds them. Behind her is the golden spirit of an older girl, trying to reach out to the figure behind Yuri as tears flow. The older teens vanish as the Fusion Counterparts' silhouettes turn to black and a large, sinister pair of draconic eyes open wide behind them.

I'll Challenge All My Limits

Crow, Kiryu, the Black Rose Witch, and Jack race in a line on the highway and call forth their dragons; Black-Feather, Infernity Void, Black Rose, and Red Daemon's.

Knowing This Could Be My Only Chance Now

Yuzu and Serena stand together striking Fusion and Pendulum summoning poses respectively. On the right side of the screen behind Yuzu is Bloom Diva, Bloom Lorin, and Prodigy Mozart. On the left side of the screen behind Serena was Cat Dancer, Panther Dancer and Lio Dancer.

To Overcome This Fate That's Come Over Me

On his D-Wheel, Yuya extends his arm outwards as Enlightenment Paladin begins to glow and evolves into a blue and golden warrior with a large sword. The swordsman hovers over Yuya with Odd Eyes Rebellion on it's right and Odd Eyes Wing on it's left.

The Ending Of This Story

Yuri stands in a dark tunnel with a monstrous grin with Starve Venom and Greedy Venom behind him. To his sides are Ruri and Rin with soulless eyes. Behind the girls are Independent Nightingale and Crystal Bell respectively.

I Will Hold It Close As I Wonder So Aimlessly

Yuto and Yugo closely race next to each other on the highway as Dark Rebellion and Clear Wing flew through the sky. Yuto slaps a card on his duel disk causing Dark Rebellion to be consumed by flames and evolve into Dark Rebellion Apocalypse. Yugo throws a card on his duel disk and reaches his hand out to the sky as Clear Wing shined and evolved into Crystal Wing. The two dragons fly at each other full force as and smash their heads against each other as Yuto and Yugo yell with glowing indigo and cyan eyes.

Into This New World

The scene changes to Yuya standing beneath a blue landscape. A pendulum swings above him, draw arcs of light across the sky. Yusho's face is shown over the center of the arcs, smiling down at his son with pride.

The Game Has Only Just Begun

Yuya reaches his hand out as the image of his father fades. He is shown to have a look of surprise on his face...

I Can See It In Your Eyes!

…which quickly turns into a triumphant smile!

(Instrumental)

The screen flashes to Reiji with D/D/D Hell Armageddon on his field sternly standing in front of the laughing Hell Kaiser with the roaring Cyber End Dragon. The scene changes to a worn out Serena and Yuzu kneeling in front of the soulless Rin and Ruri, with the silhouette of Parasite Fusioner behind them. The scene shifts again to Yuya, Yuto, Yugo, and Yuri standing across from each other with glowing eyes and spiked up hair as their dragons roared. The four dragons crash against each other causing a bright light to engulf the screen. The song ends with a shot of the Lancers on the highway in the Synchro Dimension looking up at the screen with the three Yu-boys in the center, each sharing a look of determination.

After approaching the pit, the team tried deciding what there game plan was.

"I think I should go first again. I'll establish a lead likeIdid in the previous match."Serena told her team.

"Go for it!" Crow smirked.

"You got this, Serena." Yuya cheered.

"Right." Serena nodded as she drove off.

With Team Unicorn, a red haired man was getting on his blue D-Wheel.

"You got this, Andre." The blonde haired man named Breo cheered.

"You know the plan. Stick to it." The dark haired man named Jean said.

"Right. I won't let you guys down." Andre smirked as he drove off.

"It looks like we have Serena, the fierce Fusion user leading off for Team United Hope! And for Team Unicorn, we have the duelist who lead this team to countless victories on the pro circuit, Andre!" Melissa yelled as the two pulled up to the starting line.

"I've been itching to face one of you Lancers. This should be a good warm up." Andre said with a smirk.

"Make no mistake, I will defeat you and your teammates with my power!" Serena declared.

"We'll see about that." Andre confidently said.

As Serena looked forward while getting ready to speed off, she could have sworn she saw two people on the roof of the stadium. One had purple and pink hair...and a familiar face...

"No it can't be...!" Serena said as she shook her head.

"Let's get this show on the road! Action Field On! Field Spell, Crossover Accel activate!" Melissa shouted as a sphere of cards bursted, causing them to spread all throughout the track.

DUEL MODE: ON! AUTOPILOT, STAND BY!

At the same time, both duelist's duel disk blades activated and a holographic screen with a countdown starting at 3 appeared in front of the two riders.

3...2...1...

"RIDING DUEL...ACCELERATION!"

"DUEL!"

ANDRE: 4000 LP vs SERENA: 4000 LP

Both duelist raced off, but due to Serena's lack of concentration, Andre had the clear advantage and passed the first gate.

"You don't seem to be very focused." Andre smirked.

'That's couldn't have been him...that must have been the stress getting tome...'

Serena shook her head as she refocused her thoughts on the duel.

"Just take your turn!" Serena grunted.

"As you wish! My turn. From my hand, I summon the tuner monster, Unicorn's Familiar from my hand!"

A horned beast with blue fur appeared next to Andre.

Unicorn's Familiar (0/1000) LVL: 2

Andre smirked as he approached an Action Card on the track and grabbed it.

"And by removing a Spell Card from my hand, I can special summon Monoceros! I'll remove this Action Card I just picked up!" Andre shouted as a brown and purple unicorn appeared.

Monoceros (1000/1000) LVL: 3

"Using an Action Card to special summon a monster..." Serena muttered.

"Now, I set three cards facedown, turn end!" Andre concluded.

"What? He didn't Synchro Summon?" Yuya said in a surprised tone.

"Don't you dare hold back against me! My turn, draw!" Serena shouted as she angrily drew. "I activate the Spell Card, Fusion! I fuse Moonlight Blue Cat and Purple Butterfly in my hand! Blue cat that prowls through the darkness! Butterfly with violet poison! Spiral into the moon's gravity and become a new power! Fusion Summon! Come to me! Level 7! Beautiful beast that dances in the moonlight! Moonlight Cat Dancer!" Serena chanted as her ace monster appeared.

Moonlight Cat Dancer (2400/2000) LVL:7

"Next, I activate the Spell Card, Fusion Recovery! I add back Moonlight Purple Butterfly to my hand! Next, I activate the Spell Card, Fusion!"

"Another Fusion Summon?!" Andre shouted.

"I fuse Moonlight Purple Butterfly and Moonlight Cat Dancer! Butterfly with violet poison! The beautiful wild beast that dances under the moonlight! Spiral into the moon's gravity and become a new power! Fusion Summon! Come forth! Level 8! Elegant beast dancing on the moonlit wilderness! Moonlight Panther Dancer!" Serena shouted as the evolved form of her ace appeared. She had purple and pink clothing and had dark hair. She had red blades attached to her hands.

Moonlight Panther Dancer (2800/2000) LVL:8

"Amazing! Serena has wasted no time in bringing out her evolved ace monster! She really isn't holding back!" Melissa commented.

"Panther Dancer can attack every monster on my opponent's field twice and the first time she attacks a monster, it isn't destroyed!" Serena shouted.

"And if she attacks Unicorn's Familiar twice, Andre will take 5600 points!" Crow exclaimed.

"It will be a One Turn Kill!" Yuya shouted.

"Battle! Go, Panther Dancer! Attack Unicorn's Familiar!" Serena commanded as her monster leaped forward.

"Trap Activate! Guardraw! My monster is switched to defense position and I draw a card!" Andre shouted as he drew.

Unicorn's Familiar (0/1000)-(0/1000)

"Tch...but Panther Dancer will still destroy both of your monsters!" Serena shouted.

"Unicorn Familiar's effect! When attacked while in defense mode, itself and another monster on my field are banished!" Andre shouted as both of his monsters were removed from play.

"He got rid of both of his monsters..." Yuzu uttered in confusion.

Serena looked at her opponents two set cards and realized what Andre's motive was.

"Your trying to draw me in for a direct attack, aren't you? In that case, since the conditions on the field have changed, I won't attack you with Panther Dancer!" Serena shouted.

"Sadly for you, that's not possible! Because of Unicorn's Familiar's effect, your monster must attack this turn! Therefore, your monster must attack me directly! Come, Panther Dancer!" Andre smirked.

"What?!" Serena yelled as her fusion charged forward.

"You shouldn't have charged in at my 0 ATK monster without thinking about my plan! Not being able to foresee my strategy will greatly cost you! Trap Activate! Different Dimension Barrier - Lost Force!" Andre shouted as his trap flipped open and a barrier appeared around him. "When I'm attacked during the turn a monster on my field was removed from the field except through battle, the attack is negated! Also, you take damage equal to your monster's ATK!"

"He reflected the attack...!" Serena gasped.

"Now, taste the power of your own monster!" Andre shouted. The Fusion tried slashing through the barrier, but as the monster's blades touched the barrier, it exploded. The explosion knocked away Panther Dancer and sent Serena's D-Wheel spinning.

"GAAH!"

SERENA: 4000-1200 LP

"Serena!" Yuya shouted.

"Oh my! During her first turn, Serena has already taken 2800 damage! What an amazing play by Andre!" Melissa commented.

"My team and I have analyzed your team's strategies during your previous duel. I knew you would try and inflict major damage on your fist turn! Your brute force strategy was turned against you!" Andre shouted.

"Tch...Turn End." Serena concluded.

"My turn, draw! Due to Unicorn's Familiar's effect, it returns to the field!"

"Different Dimension Unicorn Knight's effect activates in my hand! By special summoning a monster that is currently banished, I can also special summon this card! Come, Monoceros!"

Monoceros (1000/1000) LVL: 3

"And now, Different Dimension Unicorn Knight!" Andre shouted as a humanoid unicorn appeared. It had blue armor and carried a blade.

Different Dimension Unicorn Knight (1800/900) LVL:4

"Now, I tune my level 2 Unicorn's Familiar to my level 3 Monoceros! Thunder galloping through the heavens, cross with the fierce gale, and appear forth from the world of illusions! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 5! Thunder Unicorn!" Andre shouted as a blue unicorn appeared. The unicorn had a yellow horn that was shaped like a bolt of lighting along with yellow hair and yellow lightning marks on it's fur.

Thunder Unicorn (2200/1800)LVL: 5

"With only 2200 ATK, it's no match for Panther Dancer!" Serena shouted.

"We'll see about that! Monoceros' effect activates in my graveyard! When it's used along with a beast-type monster for a Synchro Summon, it can revive the tuner monster used! Come back, Unicorn's Familiar!"

Unicorn's Familiar (0/1000) LVL: 2

"Thunder Unicorn's effect activates! Once per turn, a monster on your field loses 500 ATK for every monster on my field besides this card! Since I control two other monsters, your monster loses 1000 ATK!" Andre explained. His unicorn fired a blast of electricity from it's horn which weakened the fusion.

Panther Dancer (2800/2000)-(1800/2000)

"No way!" Serena yelled in shock.

"Battle! Thunder Unicorn, attack Moonlight Panther Dancer! Thunder Spear!" Andre shouted as the unicorn slashed through Moonlight monster with it's horn.

"Panther Dancer!" Serena shouted as she was hit by a shockwave.

SERENA: 1200-800 LP

"He defeated Serena's evolved ace so easily..." Yuya said in disbelief.

"I can't attack with other monsters I control the turn Thunder Unicorn's effect is used. I set another card facedown, turn end." Andre concluded.

"I can't afford to walk into another trap..." Serena said to herself as she looked at her shaking hand. 'What the hell is wrong with me...I can't afford to doubt myself right now...I have to focus on the duel and nothing else.'

Serena's shaking hand turned into a fist as she strengthened her resolve.

"I won't be defeated like this! I won't lose to you!" Serena declared as she pointed at Andre.

"Bring it on then!" Andre shouted back.

"My turn!" Serena shouted as she drew. Her eyes widened as she noticed she now had both of the card's given to her by Reiji. "I guess it's finally my turn to show these off. With the Scale 1 Moonlight Wolf and the Scale 5 Moonlight Tiger, I set the Pendulum Scale!"

The humanoid wolf and tiger rose up into the blue columns. The wolf had purple skin and green hair while the tiger had black and yellow striped skin and blue fur.

Wolf 1 - 5 Tiger

"Serena's Pendulum monster...amazing!" Yuya cheered.

"With this, I can simultaneously summon monsters with levels 2 through 4! Swing Pendulum in the moonlight! Draw an arc across the night sky and dance across the battle field! Pendulum Summon! Come forth, my monster! From my hand, Moonlight Scarlet Phoenix!" Serena shouted as a single light shot out of the portal, revealing a humanoid female phoenix with burning red wings and clothing.

Moonlight Scarlet Phoenix (2000/1000) LVL: 5

"Wow! Serena has showed off her Pendulum Summon!" Melissa shouted.

"Scarlet Phoenix's effect activates! When this card is summoned to my field, I can special summon a Moonlight monster from my graveyard with it's effects negated and in defense mode! Return, Moonlight Purple Butterfly!"

Moonlight Purple Butterfly (1000/1000) LVL: 3

"Next, Moonlight Tiger's effect activates! Once per turn, I can special summon a Moonlight Fusion monster to my field but with it's effects negated! But, it can't attack and is destroyed during the end of the turn! Revive, Panther Dancer!"

Moonlight Panther Dancer (2800/2000) LVL:8

"Storming your field with monsters? I presume you have a bigger goal in mind, perhaps a Fusion Summon?" Andre asked with a smirk.

"You might have guessed what I'm going to do, but you haven't seen the power of the monster I'm about to bring out! Moonlight Wolf's Pendulum effect! Once per turn, I can perform a Fusion Summon by banishing monsters on my field or in my hand! I fuse Moonlight Purple Butterfly, Scarlet Phoenix, and Panther Dancer!" Serena shouted as her three monsters rose up into the Fusion Vortex.

"Go, Serena!" Yuya cheered.

"Elegant beast dancing on the moonlit wilderness! Fiery phoenix with burning wings! Butterfly with violet poison! Swarm in a vortex of the moon's gravity and revive with a new power! Fusion Summon! Come forth! Level 10!The king of beasts dancing atop the summit of the moonlight wilderness! Moonlight Lio Dancer!" Serena shouted as her most powerful monster appeared. She had dark blue skin and had light blue hair. The Fusion Monster had red and golden clothing and carried a large sword that had a golden handle.

Moonlight Lio Dancer (3500/3000) LVL: 10

"U-Unbelievable! Serena has pulled of an amazing Pendulum Fusion which brought out a brand new monster with an incredible ATK value!" Melissa shouted in awe as the crowd cheered.

"This is the power of Serena's Pendulum Fusion...!" Yuzu said in awe.

"Amazing..." Yuya uttered.

"That sure is an impressive monster." Andre said.

"This is my full power! BATTLE! Leo Dancer, attack Thunder Unicorn!" Serena commanded as she pointed at the unicorn. Her monster's sword gained a golden glow as it leaped forward.

"Not bad, but I still have moves to make! Trap Activate! Dimension Trap! By banishing a monster on my field along with a trap in my graveyard, I can activate the removed trap's effect!" Andre shouted.

"That means...!" Crow realized.

"I banish Unicorn's Familiar on my field along with Different Dimension Barrier - Lost Force in my graveyard in order to activates it's effect!" Andre shouted with a triumphant look. "Lio Dancer's effect is negated! Then, you take damage equal to your monster's ATK! You're finished!"

"...That's not true because Lio Dancer...unaffected by card effects! Meaning, her attack can't be negated by your trap's effect and I won't take any damage!" Serena smirked.

"What?!" Andre shouted in shock.

"Go, Lunar Sword Slash!" Serena shouted as her monster's golden blade slashed through the unicorn, causing an explosion that shook Andre's D-Wheel.

ANDRE: 4000-2700 LP

"Tch...not bad. Countering my move was impressive. But dueling in such a simple way won't help you win this tournament." Andre told his opponent.

"I don't need your advice!" Serena shouted.

"You need to think ahead a bit more. I should thank you for helping me out after all. Trap Activate! Parallel Select! Since you destroyed my Synchro monster, I can add a banished card back to my hand! I add the Action Card I banished on my first turn through Monoceros' effect!" Andre yelled as he added the card to his hand.

"That won't save you! Lio Dancer's effect activates! After this card's first attack, all monsters on my opponent's field are destroyed!" Serena exclaimed as her monster swung her sword, sending an energy slash at Different Dimension Unicorn Knight which destroyed it.

"Now Andre is defenseless!" Yuzu realized.

"Lio Dancer can attack twice per turn! Go, Lio Dancer! End this duel! LUNAR SWORD SLASH!" Serena shouted as the fusion jumped forward with it's glowing blade.

"She won!" Yuya exclaimed.

"Not so fast! Action Spell, Big Escape! The Battle Phase is forced to an end! And even though your monster is unaffected by card effects, it can't attack if the Battle Phase is over!" Andre countered with a smirk as the Fusion stopped it's attack and returned to Serena's field.

"You banished that powerful Action Card...knowing that I would destroy your Synchro monster...so you could add it back to your hand and use it..." Serena realized. Her opponent had been in control the entire time. She was just playing into his hand. "I...end my turn..."

"I was just preparing a backup plan. Adapting to the opponent's moves and preparing for their counterattacks are the abilities required to win a tournament like this. You're straight forward style may be effective at times, but dueling without being able to adapt will get you nowhere! My turn, draw!" Andre shouted as he drew.

"Can Andre really do anything against a 3500 ATK monster that is unaffected by card effects?! Let's find out!" Melissa shouted.

"I activate the Spell Card, Pot of Greed! I draw two cards! Next, I activate the Spell Card, Wild Revenge! I can special summon all Beast-type monsters in my graveyard that were destroyed by battle or card effect during the previous turn but with their effect negated. Revive, Different Dimension Unicorn Knight! Thunder Unicorn!"

Different Dimension Unicorn Knight (1800/900) LVL:4

Thunder Unicorn (2200/1800) LVL: 5

"Next, I activate the Spell Card, Unicorn Stampede! For every Unicorn monster on my field, a Spell or Trap on your field is destroyed! Since I control two, your Pendulum Scale is destroyed!" Andre shouted as the Pendulum monsters bursted.

"Grr..." Serena grunted.

"And since two or more cards were successfully destroyed, I can draw a card! Battle! Thunder Unicorn, attack Moonlight Lio Dancer!" Andre shouted with a confident look.

"But your monster has less ATK?!" Serena questioned.

"Not for long! Quick Play Spell, Unicorn Force! When a Unicorn monster on my field battles a monster with higher ATK, I can target a level 4 or lower Unicorn monster on my field and the battling monster gains ATK equal to the target's ATK until the end of the turn! I target Different Dimension Unicorn Knight!" Andre shouted as his knight gained a blue glow.

"But that means...!" Serena realized with a horrified look.

"Thunder Unicorn gains 1800 ATK!" Andre yelled as the blue energy shot into the unicorn, powering it up.

Thunder Unicorn (2200/1800)-(4000/1800)

"Go, Thunder Unicorn! THUNDER SPEAR!" Andre shouted as the unicorn slashed through the middle of Lio Dancer, causing a powerful explosion.

SERENA: 800-300 LP

"...Impossible..." Serena uttered.

"Different Dimension Unicorn Knight, end this duel! DIRECT ATTACK!" Andre shouted as his knight jumped high in the sky.

"...Damm it...how could I be so weak...?"

The knight slashed down on Serena, depleting her of all of her life points.

SERENA: 300-0 LP

"Serena!" Yuya shouted.

"W-Wow...with an amazing move...Andre has defeated Serena!" Melissa shouted in a surprised tone as Serena was led back into the stadium.

"I can't believe...she lost..." Yuzu said in shock.

"Serena, are you ok?!" Yuya asked with a worried look.

"I'm fine...I just...can't believe I lost..." Serena said in a state of shock.

"But if anyone can adapt to this situation, it is definitely Andre!" Jean smirked.

"Let's go! My counterattack begins now! My turn...draw!" Andre shouted as he drew.

"Could he...really come back from this...?" Yuya asked with a worried look.

"Let's go! I activate the Spell Card, Beast Draw! By banishing a level 5 or higher Beast-type monster in my graveyard, I can draw two cards! I banish Behemoth!Now, I activate the Equip Spell Card, Primal Beast Synchro! "I won't let you!" Crow yelled as he sped forward.

Both Crow and Andre were neck and neck. At the same time, they reached for an Action Card on the track as Chidori used it's lightning blade to slash through the unicorn, causing a powerful explosion.

"What happened? Who got the Action Card?!" Melissa questioned.

"Action Spell, Damage Banish! The damage is reduced to 0!" Andre shouted as he raced out of the smoke in front of Crow.

"So close!" Yuya snapped.

"You may have beaten me...but there is one more thing I can do...Chidori the Rain Sprinkling's effect! Since it was destroyed...I can revive a Black-Feather monster in my graveyard! Revive...the tuner monster...Black Feather - Gale the Shift Wind!" Crow shouted as his monster returned.

"Don't worry. I got this! I'll defeat them with the dueling I believe in!" Yuya shouted with a determined look as he put his helmet on.

Melissa shouted.

As Yuya drove out to the track, he noticed his hands shaking. He wasn't as confident as he seemed. 'I have to win...there's no way I can get to the crowd if I am defeated...but I have to duel to win...which means I have to be serious...but I also want to entertain the crowd.'

"...Brother...why does Yuya look so concerned...?" Reira asked the older teen.

"To put it simply...Yuya is having a tough time deciding whether he should duel to entertain or duel seriously. On one hand, he could duel to entertain and risk potentially losing. On the other hand, he could duel seriously and risk potentially spreading the wrong message to the crowd." Reiji said as he pushed up his glasses.

"I see...what will Yuya do?" Reira asked.

"Whatever he thinks is right...but for his sake, I hope he makes the right decision." Reiji said.

"You won't defeat me with that attack!" Andre shouted.

"That's not true! When Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon battles a level 5 or higher monster, the battle damage is doubled! Reaction Force!" Yuya shouted as the orbs on the dragon glowed brightly, causing the blast to strengthen.

"That's 2000 damage!" Yuzu cheered.

"I won't be taking any damage! Trap Activate! Synchro Striker Unit! A Synchro monster on my field gains 1000 ATK this turn!" Andre countered as his unicorn powered up.

The unicorn fired a blast of electricity from it's horn at the dragon's blast, causing a powerful explosion that engulfed both monsters.

"Odd Eyes' sacrifice won't be in vain since Gale the Shift Wind has enough ATK to finish you off! Direct Attack!" Yuya commanded.

"Thunder Unicorn has another effect! During the Battle Phase it left the field, I can special summon it back to the field in attack mode!" Andre shouted as his unicorn returned.

"At this moment, Thunder Unicorn's effect removes it from play." Andre explained as the unicorn dissolved.

'There's really not that much else I can do here...I'll just have to set things up for them...' Andre thought to himself as he looked at his hand. "My turn! I activate the Spell Card, Unicorn Beacon! This card lets me special summon a level 5 or lower Beast-type monster that is banished! Come back, Thunder Unicorn!"

Odd Eyes Meteorburst dragon's effect activates! While I control another Odd Eyes monster, my dragon gains 300 ATK for every Odd Eyes monster on my field! As the dragon prepared to fire it's attack, both duelists spotted two Action Cards on opposite sides of the track. Andre raced to the right side and grabbed an Action Card that was high in the air while Yuya drove to the left and quickly grabbed one that was on the track.

"Haha! Action Spell, Bi-Attack! Thunder Unicorn's ATK is doubled!" Andre shouted as his unicorn powered up.

"Trap Activate! Roaring Beast Slash! I can target a Beast-type monster and for the rest of the turn, if it were to destroy a monster by battle, the opponent takes damage equal to that monsters ATK! Also, when this card battles a monster, neither player can activate the effects of monsters, meaning you won't be able to negate the attack with Odd Eyes Absolute Dragon!" Andre explained.

"If Thunder Unicorn destroys Odd Eyes Meteorburst Dragon, Yuya Sakaki will take 1000 damage and then 3400 damage!" Melissa realized.

"No way!" Yugo shouted.

"Yuya!" Yuzu cried.

"Face it, you've lost!" Andre smirked.

"I don't care what that situation is...for Crow and Serena...I can't lose here! I will win!" Yuya declared with a determined look.

"You can try if you want...but the outcome of this duel is already decided! Go, Thunder Unicorn! Wipe out his life points!" Andre shouted as his monster fired a blast from it's horn at the Synchro dragon, causing a powerful explosion that enveloped Yuya's field.

"Team Unicorn has won!" Andre shouted.

"There's no way...!" Crow uttered.

"...It can't be...Yuya..." Serena gasped.

"This duel isn't over yet! The fun has just begun!" Yuya shouted as his dragons raced out of the smoke, completely unharmed.

"What?!" Andre shouted.

"I activate the Action Spell, Restore. This card returned Thunder Unicorn's ATK back to it's normal value. Meaning, it's counterattack did nothing to my dragon." Yuya explained with a smile.

"I guess we both got lucky with the cards we picked up." Andre said.

"Now, Odd Eyes Meteorburst Dragon's attack continues!" Serena realized.

"Here comes the spectacular climax! Go, Spiral Inferno Burst!" Yuya shouted as his dragon fired a burning crimson blast at the Unicorn.

"I guess I can't really do anything else here...in that case, I'll be going out on my own terms! Trap Activate! Ring of Destruction!" Andre shouted as a burning ring appeared around the dragon.

"T-That card?!" Yuya shouted as his eyes widened in fear.

"By destroying a monster on the field...both players take damage equal to it's ATK!" Andre shouted.

"Yuya will have to take on his next two opponents with only 600 life points!" Melissa realized.

"Time to go out with bang!" Andre shouted with a smirk.

"Yuya!" Serena and Crow shouted as the dragon exploded.

"Trap Activate! Damage Diet! The effect damage I would take is halved!" Yuya countered before both duelists were consumed by the explosion.

"Andre has been defeated in exchange for taking out almost half of Yuya Sakaki's life points!" Melissa shouted as Andre drove back into the stadium.

"I'll let you handle the rest, Breo." Andre said as he pulled in next to his blonde teammate and handed him his Thunder Unicorn.

"Yeah! Leave it to me, Andre!" Breo said with a excited look as he took the card and got on his D-Wheel.

"Breo, I know you won't forget, but don't try and finish this by yourself." Jean told his teammate.

"You don't have to remind me. I'll stick to the plan, for the team. Don't worry." Breo nodded before driving off.

"Up next is for Team Unicorn is Breo! Will he be able to overcome the weakened Yuya Sakaki and win the match for his team? Let's find out!" Melissa shouted as the crowd cheered.

'Damn...how could I be so careless...' Yuya gritted his teeth in frustration. 'I need to entertain the crowd...but I can't lose my focus again...I need to seriously duel while making the crowd smile...'

"I'll carry out my task which will insure our team's victory!" Breo shouted with a smirk.

"We'll see about that! My entertainment dueling will definitely defeat you! The fun has just begun!" Yuya exclaimed.

"That won't be happening! Counter Trap, Negate Attack activate! The attacks are negated and the Battle Phase is forced to end!" Breo countered with a smirk.

"I guess this performance isn't over yet. Turn end!" Yuya concluded with a facedown.

"That was a close one..." Breo said with a relieved look, being a little intimidated by Yuya's dragons. "My turn! From my hand, I summon Mine Mole!"

A brown mole with a pickaxe appeared next to Breo's monsters.

"Now, I tune my level 4 Bicorn Re'em to my level 3 Mine Mole! Thunder galloping through the heavens, tearing apart the sea of clouds! These hooves will rip across the surface of the Earth! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 7! Voltic Bicorn!" Breo yelled as a black unicorn appeared. It had blue hair and yellow lightning bolt marks on it's body. It had two horns that resembled lightning bolts and had lightning protruding from it's chest and a lightning bolt for a tail.

"Alright, Breo!" Andre cheered.

"Let's go! Since Mine Mole was sent used for a Synchro Summon along with another Beast-type monster, I can draw a card through it's effect! And when Bicorn Re'em is used for a Synchro Summon, the top two cards of your deck are sent to the graveyard!" Breo exclaimed.

"Tch..." Yuya clicked his tongue as he sent the two cards to the graveyard.

"Next, I activate the Spell Card, Fangs of the Wild! All Beast-type monsters gain 500 ATK until the end of my next turn!" Breo yelled as both unicorns roared.

"That was an impressive counterattack. This match keeps getting more exciting! Let's ramp things up even more! My turn, draw!" Yuya smiled as he drew. "Here comes the next act of my comeback! With the Scale 6 Enternate Lizardraw, I set the Pendulum Scale!"

"Pendulum Summon! Come forth, my monster! From my hand, my monster!" Yuya shouted as he pointed to the sky while one red light shot out of the portal. "From my hand, the dazzling light of salvation that penetrates the darkness of despair! Odd Eyes Saber Dragon!"

The newest alternate version of Odd Eyes appeared on Yuya's field with shinning yellow and white armor.

"Now everyone, watch in amazement as I wipe out my opponents field with just a single monster! Battle! Odd Eyes Saber Dragon, attack Thunder Unicorn! Spiral Light Burst!" Yuya yelled as his monster fired a yellow and red spiraling blast at the unicorn that blasted right through it. A shockwave hit Breo, causing him to cover his face with his arm.

"Odd Eyes Saber Dragon's effect activates! Now, I can destroy a monster on the field since my dragon destroyed a monster by battle! Say goodbye to Voltic Bicorn! Shinning Force!" Yuya shouted as his dragon fired a white and yellow attack that obliterated Breo's ace monster.

"What an amazing move! Yuya Sakaki was able to clear his opponent's field with just one attack!" Melissa commented.

"Now, it's time for a direct atta-!"

"Wait just a minute." Breo said with a smirk.

"Huh?" Yuya questioned.

"When Voltic Bicorn is destroyed...both players send the top cards of their decks to the graveyard equal to this card's level! That's 7 cards!" Breo exclaimed as he discarded the top cards of his deck.

"What a strange effect..." Yuya said as he discarded his cards. He remembered Breo's previous monster having a similar effect and looked at how many cards he had lost. That's when it hit him. "This strategy...!"

"Those kind of effects...that means...!" Crow trailed off as his eyes widened.

"He's...going for deck destruction..." Serena realized with a worried look.

"That bastard...!" Yugo grunted.

"Yuya needs to defeat him quickly...or else...!" Yuzu said as the thought of Yuya losing to a deck out made her wince in fear.

"This is the grand strategy of Team Unicorn!" Breo exclaimed.

"I still have 21 cards in my deck...meaning I still got plenty of time to defeat you! Go, Odd Eyes! Direct Attack! Spiral Strike Burst!" Yuya shouted as his dragon fired a powerful red blast that collided with the pro duelist.

"GRAAH!"

"The attack landed!" Yugo cheered.

"As expected of you, Yuya Sakaki." Breo smirked.

"What's that suppose to mean?" Yuya asked.

"Just like your teammates, we analyzed you as well. I knew you would be able to perform a powerful counterattack...which is why I can now do this! Trap Activate! Regretful Tuning! Since I took damage from a direct attack, I can bring out a Synchro monster from my graveyard! Revive, Voltic Bicorn!" Breo shouted as his ace appeared.

"Damn it...!" Yuya grunted.

"Though you are an incredible duelist, I noticed that you seem to have a harder time predicting your opponents moves when you are preoccupied." Breo commented, making Yuya's eyes twitch.

"...preoccupied?" Yuya questioned.

"No need to look all angry. I just mean whenever you are "entertaining the crowd", you don't seem to be as effective." Breo explained.

"...what did you just say...?" Yuya said with an angered look. 'Could he be right...is my entertainment dueling not good enough...No! I can't afford to think like that!' I have to keep going with the dueling I believe in!'

Yuya shook his head with a conflicted look as he refocused his thoughts on the duel. "I end my turn."

"Here goes! My turn, draw!" Breo shouted as he drew his card. "Looks like I got a good card! I activate the Spell Card, Synchro Supplement! I gain life points equal to my Synchro monster's level times 100 and I draw for energy 200 life points I gain! I gain 700 life points and I draw 3 cards!"

"Alright! I activate the Spell Card, Synchro Break! Since I control a Synchro monster, a card on your field is destroyed! Say goodbye to Odd Eyes Saber Dragon!"

A blast of lightning from the bicorn obliterated the shinning dragon, causing Yuya to grit his teeth.

"Battle! Voltic Unicorn, attack Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon!" Breo exclaimed as his ace charged forward.

"Since they have the same ATK, both of their monsters will be destroyed...meaning Yuya Sakaki will be forced to send 7 more cards from his deck to the graveyard!" Melissa realized.

"I won't let you!" Yuya shouted as he grabbed an Action Card off the track. "Action Spell, Assault! During this battle, my monster gains 600 ATK!"

"Good thing I planned for this moment! Trap Activate! Compliance! When the opponent's monster gains ATK during the Battle Phase, a monster on my field gains that amount! Meaning, Voltic Bicorn gains 600 ATK!"

"You even prepared for that?!" Yuya questioned in a shocked tone.

"Go, Voltic Rush!" Breo exclaimed as both duelist's ace monsters collided, causing a powerful explosion.

"Odd Eyes!" Yuya yelled.

"Voltic Bicorn's effect activates! We both must send the top 7 cards of our decks to the graveyard!" Breo smirked as he sent his cards to the graveyard.

"Damn it...!" Yuya grunted as he was forced to send his cards to the graveyard. He looked at the multiple Entermates being discarded, causing him to become saddened.

"Yuya Sakaki now has 14 cards left in his deck!" Melissa shouted.

"I set two cards facedown, turn end!" Breo concluded.

"My turn!" Yuya shouted with an anxious look. He needed to win right away. He could afford his deck to be depleted anymore. "Pendulum Summon! Come back from the Extra Deck, Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon!"

"Well played, but my act isn't done just yet! Lizardraw's Pendulum effect activates! By shuffling it from my Pendulum Zone into my deck, I draw a card!" Yuya shouted as he placed the card back into the deck before drawing. "This is it! I summon the tuner monster, Tuning Magician!"

A girl magician with pink hair appeared that wore a white outfit that had green lining and carried a large tuning fork.

"When Tuning Magician is summoned, it's owner takes 400 damage while the opponent gains 400 life points!" Yuya explained. The magician hit her tuning fork which caused a sound wave that damaged Yuya while healing Breo.

Level 8! Magical Swordsman of Awakening! Enlightenment Paladin!" Yuya yelled as the swordsman clad in white that carried two blades appeared.

"Enlightenment Paladin's effect activates! Since a Magician was used for it's Synchro Summon, I can add a Spell Card from my graveyard to my hand!" Yuya explained as his monster held the handles of his blades together, causing a clock to appear behind him. The clock began turning counter-clockwise, causing time to go backwards as a spell popped out of Yuya's graveyard.

"Breo has 2500 life points! Yuya can win this!" Crow cheered.

"BATTLE! Enlightenment Paladin, attack him directly! Ascension Blade Slash!" Yuya commanded as the paladin turned his two blades into a double-edge sword. The paladin spun it's weapon as it leaped towards Breo.

"I got you! Trap Activate! Holy Barrier - Mirror Force! All attack position monsters on my opponent's field are destroyed!" Breo countered as the paladin collided with the colorful barrier, causing it to burst.

"No way...!" Yuya uttered.

"I'm not done! Trap Activate! Tuning Collapse! When an opponent's Synchro monster is destroyed, the opponent must sent the top cards of their deck to the graveyard equal to that monster's level! That's 8 cards!" Breo grinned as Yuya was forced to discard even more of his deck.

"...No..." Yuya uttered as he looked at how many cards he had left.

"Due to Breo's combination of Trap Cards, Yuya Sakaki is left with 5 cards in his deck and no monsters on his field!" Melissa shouted as the crowd cheered.

"...I fell right into his trap..." Yuya uttered as he looked down.

"Oh no...Yuya...please don't give up..." Yuzu uttered.

"I...end my turn..." Yuya concluded.

"My turn!" Breo shouted as he drew his card. "It seems like everything is coming together perfectly. I set two cards facedown, turn end."

"He left his field wide open again..." Serena trailed off.

"I can't mess this up...I won't! I have people counting on me!" Yuya shouted as he placed his hand on top of his deck. "My turn...draw!"

"Continuous Trap, Tricolor Illusion! As long as this card is on the field, monsters you control cannot attack!" Breo explained with a smirk.

"What?!" Yuya shouted.

"That's not all. Once during each of your turns, you must reveal the top card of your deck. If it's a Spell Card, it is added to your hand. If it's a Trap Card, you have to discard it along with another card in your hand! And if it's a Monster Card, that card is added to your hand and you have to place a card in your hand on the top of your deck!" Breo explained.

"That seems risky...if the card is a Spell, he'll only have 3 cards left in his deck." Crow said.

"And if the card is a Trap...Yuya will lose a card in his hand and he'll only have 3 cards left in his deck...and he barely has any resources left as it is..." Serena added.

"It all came to together perfectly." Jean smirked.

"But, there is a way you can avoid this effect. Due to Tricolor Illusion's effect, you can discard a card from your hand in order to destroy this card. Now, what will you chose Yuya?!" Breo questioned with a grin."Grr..." Yuya grit his teeth as he tried to think about what he should should do.

'He shouldn't want to risk having to lose a card from his hand and making his deck even smaller in this situation. Despite his flashy style, he doesn't seem like the type to bet his friends being sent underground on a single draw. So, this means he will discard a card to destroy my Trap. Meaning, I will be able to activate my Trap Card, Destruction Trigger.' Breo thought as he looked at his remaining face down. 'When a card on my field is destroyed, I will be able to activate this card and the top 5 cards of his deck will be sent to the graveyard. He only has 4 cards left, resulting in a Deck Out. I have won.'

Breo smirked as he looked at the troubled Yuya, who was obviously questioning what he should do.

'That smart thing to do is to destroy that card but...that confident look on his face...he probably has already anticipated that move...so what can I do...?!' Yuya looked down as these thoughts raced through his head.

"So, what will it be?" Breo questioned.

"As an entertainer...I've been pushed to make drastic decisions and take major risks...and though there are times they backfire...taking risks is apart of being an Entertainment duelist like my father! That's why...I choose to reveal the top card of my deck!" Yuya exclaimed as he placed his hand on his deck.

"Huh?!" Breo gasped.

"He's really planning on risking everything?!" Jean shouted in shock.

"And the card was a monster card, I add it to my hand and I must place one card in my hand on the top of my deck." Yuya explained as he added Laugh Maker to his hand while returning another card in his hand to his deck. "Ladies and Gentleman! Pay close attention...because I'm about to close the curtain on this duel!"

"How so? You won't be able to attack me through Tricolor Illusion's effect!" Breo yelled.

"You aren't the only one who knows how to prepare! I activate the Ritual Spell, Odd Eyes Advent!" Yuya shouted as an altar appeared in front of him, one side holding a red flame and the other side holding a blue flame.

"That's the card you added to your hand through Enlightenment Paladin's effect...!" Breo realized.

"By releasing Pendulum monsters in my hand or on my field, I can ritual summon a Dragon-type Ritual monster! I release the level 8 Entermate Laugh Maker in my hand!"

The magician appeared in the middle of the altar and turned into 8 flames that circled around it.

"But you now have no cards in your hand! Where is your Ritual monster?" Breo asked.

"The monster summoned by Odd Eyes Advent can be summoned from the hand or graveyard!" Yuya explained with a smile.

"F-From the graveyard?!" Breo stuttered in shock.

"Dragon born from the depths of the earth! Heed the call of the call of the ritual and break the chains that imprison you! Ritual Summon! Come forth! Level 7! Dragon of the fractured earth, Odd Eyes Gravity Dragon!" Yuya shouted as his blue and brown dragon appeared that had rock-like armor with chains around it.

"Incredible! Yuya Sakaki has managed to Ritual Summon a monster from the graveyard!" Melissa shouted as the crowd cheered.

"Amazing, Yuya!" Yugo cheered.

"That was an impressive move...but you still can't attack me due to Tricolor Illusion's effect!" Breo shouted.

"You think so?" Yuya questioned with a smirk.

"What?!" Breo shouted.

"Odd Eyes Gravity Dragon's effect! When this card is special summoned...all of my opponent's spells and traps are sent back to their hands! Gravity Wave!" Yuya shouted as his dragon's eyes glowed. The ground rumbled as Tricolor Illusion and Breo's facedown were sent back to his hand.

"That means...!" Breo realized with a shocked look on his face.

"With Tricolor Illusion gone, my monster can now attack!" Yuya said with a smile.

"Go, Yuya!" Crow cheered.

"Finish him!" Serena shouted.

"This is the finale! BATTLE! Odd Eyes Gravity Dragon, attack Breo directly! SPIRAL GRAVITY BURST!" Yuya shouted out as his dragon jumped high in the air. The dragon fired a orange spiraling blast from it's mouth.

"GRAAAH!" Breo yelled as he was consumed by the blast.

"He did it! Yuya Sakaki managed to perform a magnificent comeback and defeated Breo with his Ritual monster!" Melissa shouted as the crowd roared in excitement while Breo drove back into the stadium.

"Good job, Yuya!" Crow cheered.

"Two down, one to go!" Yugo shouted.

"Sorry, Jean. I couldn't stop him." Breo said to his dark haired teammate as he took off his helmet.

"It looks like Yuya Sakaki is quite a good duelist. Even better then we expected." Andre said.

"Does he have the skill of adapting as well?" Andre questioned.

"That's not all. I can feel something else besides that from him. Something I can't just figure out by looking at his data." Breo explained.

"Interesting. It's true that he is the only one that has come this far against our team. But thanks to our masterful strategy, we have depleted all of his resources. He only has 4 cards left in his deck. I'll definitely defeat him. That's my duty." Jean told his team as he got on his D-Wheel.

"We'll leave the rest to you." Breo said with a smile.

"Good luck, Jean." Andre nodded.

"The final duel of the match is about to begin! Will Jean from Team Unicorn be able to outlast Yuya Sakaki, who only has 4 cards left in his deck?!" Melissa questioned.

"Andre had a beatdown strategy and Breo had a deck destruction strategy...so what will Jean's strategy be?" Yugo questioned.

"Just one more...you can do this...Yuya..." Yuzu said.

"Everything my team has done has led us to this moment, Yuya Sakaki! Team Unicorn will be the victors!" Jean declared as he pointed at Yuya.

"No matter how many cards I have in my deck...even if I have to create a miracle...I will win this duel with the dueling I believe in!" Yuya declared as he looked back at his opponent.

"Fine...I pay 500 life points..." Jean began as the dragon's eyes glowed which causing the gravity around him to increase, making him wince in pain.

The tricorn had three red horns on it's head and various red horns protruding from it's body.

"He's going for mutual destruction?" Yuzu questioned.

"In that case, Odd Eyes Gravity Dragon! Counterattack! Spiral Gravity Burst!" Yuya commanded as his dragon fired a spiraling orange blast. The red and orange blasts collided, causing a huge explosion that enveloped both monsters.

"I'm not done yet! Lightning Tricorn's effect activates! When this card is destroyed by battle, I can special summon either Thunder Unicorn or Voltic Bicorn from my Extra Deck! Come, Voltic Bicorn!" Jean shouted as as the black bicorn that had two lightning bolt horns appeared.

"W-WHAT?!" Yuya shouted in disbelief.

"He has copies of his teammates ace monsters?!" Crow yelled in shock.

"Amazing! Jean has managed to clear Yuya's fieldand broughtout another Synchro monster in the process! Could this be the end?!" Melissa questioned.

"Use my power, Jean!" Breo cheered.

"This is the strength that Team Unicorn shares! Go, Voltic Bicorn! End this duel! VOLTIC RUSH!" Jean screamed as the bicorn charged forward.

"YUYA!" Yuzu screamed.

The beast charged forward and rammed it's electrifying horns into the back of Yuya's D-Wheel, causing a powerful explosion.

"GRAAAH!"

Asthe smoke cleared, Yuya was still on his D-Wheel though he was heavily worn out.

"How the hell did you survive that?!" Jean shouted as he caught up to Yuya's slowed downD-Wheel.

"Thanks to your teammate's deck destruction strategy...I was able to banish the Trap Card, Odd Eyes Cross which was sent to the graveyard earlier...this card reduced the damage by half of the attack of an Odd Eyes monster that left the field this turn..." Yuya explained in between breaths.

"In other words, since Odd Eyes Gravity Dragon had 2800 ATK, Yuya Sakaki was able to reduce the damage by 1400! What an incredible last minute counter!" Melissa cheered.

"That was a close one..." Crow sighed in relief.

"But Jean was able to gain the lead, meaning Yuya won't be able to get Action Cards." Serena said with a worried look.

"Not to mention Voltic Bicorn's effect..." Crow muttered.

"You aren't out of the woods yet! Because the moment you attack and destroy Voltic Bicorn, the top 7 cards of our decks will be sent to the graveyard! You will Deck Out and lose the duel!" Jean shouted with a smirk.

"I won't give up...after all...the fun has just begun!" Yuya shouted as he extended his arms out.

"I set two cards facedown, turn end!" Jean concluded.

"By using his monster to return Voltic Bicorn to the Extra Deck, Yuya Sakaki was able to avoid it's effects that would have caused him to Deck Out! What a spectacular play!" Melissa shouted.

"I'm not done just yet! From my graveyard, I activate the effect of the Trap Card, Wings of Misdirection! By banishing this card from my graveyard and two other cards on my field, I can target a monster on my field and it gains 800 ATK! I banish Entermate Trump Witch and Xiangsheng so my dragon gains 800 ATK!"

"And due to Wings of Misdirection's effect, the activation of card's effects currently on your field are all negated! Meaning, you can can't activate your set cards!"

"Finish him now, Yuya!" Serena shouted.

"Let's go! Battle! Odd Eyes Vortex Dragon, direct attack! Spiral Storm Burst!" Yuya yelled as the dragon fired a green spiraling blast at the pro duelist.

"I activate the Spell Card, Evasion-!"

"Not a chance! Odd Eyes Vortex Dragon's effect activates! Once per turn, by shuffling a Pendulum monster face up in my Extra Deck back into my deck, a monster, spell, or trap card's effect is negated and it's destroyed! So by shuffling Skullcrobat Joker into my Extra Deck, Evasion is negated and destroyed! Counter Storm!" Yuya shouted as a burst of wind destroyed the Action Spell.

"In that case, I activate the effect of Wild Guardna in my hand! By discarding this card during the turn a beast-type monster left the field, I can reduce an instance of damage to 0!" Jean countered as a bear with silver armor appeared in front of him and blocked the attack.

"So close...I end my turn! At this moment, Wings of Misdirection's effect ends."

"Jean sure his fired up." Breo commented.

"Yeah. Jean is challenging himself against his opponent. Even though it may not seem like it, he's happy he is getting the chance to fight instead of us wiping out their team." Andre added.

"Then we have to cheer him on! Go, Jean!" Breo cheered.

"BATTLE! Lightning Tricorn, attack Odd Eyes Vortex Dragon! LIGHTNING IMPACT!" Jean shouted as his beats fired a red blast of lightning that shot through Yuya's dragon, causing an explosion.

"I will never except defeat! As an entertainer, I will face any challenge that I come across with a smile on my face! That's the dueling I believe in! That's why I will win!" Yuya shouted with a determined smile. "My turn...DRAW!"

"Despite the odds...you still don't give up..." Jean said with a surprised look.

"I will restore my hope with this! I activate the Spell Card, Pot of Riches! By shuffling three Pendulum monsters from my graveyard or extra deck into my deck...I can draw two cards! But during this turn, I can special summon monsters from the Extra Deck except through Pendulum Summoning." Yuya explained with a smile. Three cards popped out of his graveyard slot which Yuya placed in his empty deck slot.

"Shuffling monsters...into your deck?!" Jean shouted in shock.

"How did he draw a spell like that?!" Breo shouted in disbelief.

"Interesting...the bond that boy holds with his deck is truly something else." Andre muttered.

"Go, Yuya!" Crow and Serena shouted.

"Let's go...DRAW!" Yuya shouted as he drew his cards.

"I don't care how much luck you have on your side! I won't lose to you, Yuya Sakaki!" Jean shouted.

A green and blue magician appeared along with a witch clad in yellow that carried a staff with smile icon.

Yuya shouted as his ace dragon and magician clad in yellow appeared. The magician carried a purple rod and wore a hat covered his eyes but his smile could still be seen.

Since Laugh Maker and Lightning Tricorn have higher ATK, Laugh Maker gains 2000 ATK!" Yuya yelled as his magician twirled his rod.

"4-4900 ATK?!" Breo shouted in shock.

"Victory is mine! Trap Activate! Barrier Wave! When an opponent's monster attacks, by releasing a Synchro monster on my field, all monsters on the opponent's field are switched to defense mode! Then, the opponent takes damage equal to the attacking monster's DEF!Since Laugh Maker has 2000 DEF, you will take 2000 damage! This duel is over!" Jean shouted with a smirk.

"No way!" Crow shouted.

"...Amazing...but this is my finale, not yours! Entermate Odd Eyes Savior's effect activates in my hand! By discarding this card, the activation of an effect that would inflict damage to me is negated!"Yuya countered as he discarded a knight with red and green eyes.

"You dodged my trap?!" Jean shouted in shock.

"And through my monster's effect, I add a Pendulum monster from my deck to my hand whose ATK is equal to or less than the damage." Yuya explained as a card popped out of his graveyard slot.

"Nice one, Yuya!" Yugo cheered.

"Now my attack continues! Go, Laughing Spark!" Yuya shouted. The magician leaped high in the air while spinning his rod. Once it was high enough, the magician pointed it's rod at the beast and fired a beautiful purple lightning blast. The blast obliterated the Synchro monster, causing a powerful explosion.

JEAN: 3000-1300 LP

"Tch...You're fate is sealed now! Lightning Tricorn's effect activates! When this card is destroyed by battle, I can special summon either Thunder Unicorn or Voltic Bicorn from my Extra Deck! Come, Voltic Bicorn!"

"Now the moment you destroy Voltic Bicorn, you will Deck Out!" Jean shouted with a smirk.

"Not if your life points drop to 0 first!" Yuya shouted with a grin.

"But my monster is in defense mode!" Jean argued.

"That doesn't matter! Smile Witch's effect activates! During the Battle Phase, I can release her to target a Pendulum monster on my field whose ATK is higher than it's original that has already attacked this turn! The targeted monster can attack again! Also, that monster can inflict piercing damage! I target Laugh Maker!"

The Witch smiled and winked at Laugh Maker before turning into yellow particles that were absorbed into him.

"That means Jean will take 2900 points of damage!" Breo realized with a worried look.

"This is the climax! Go, Laugh Maker! Attack Voltic Bicorn and end this duel! LAUGHING SPARK!" Yuya screamed as his magician fired another beautiful blast of purple lightning at the beast.

"This isn't over! Trap Activate! Wild Rejuvenation! During a turn I have taken damage, by releasing a Beast-type Synchro monster on my field, I can target an opponent's monster and it can't attack! I release Voltic Bicorn and Laugh Maker cannot attack!" Jean countered as his Synchro monster dissolved.

"Though that was a pretty good counter, I still have one final attack! Go, Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon! End this duel with fantastic finale! SPIRAL STRIKE BURST!" Yuya shouted with a grin as his ace dragon fired a spiraling red blast at the defenseless pro.

"JEAN!" Breo shouted.

"Not bad...Yuya Sakaki...but not good enough! I banish Wild Rejuvenation to activate it's other effect! When I am attack directly, by targeting a Beast-type monster in my graveyard, I can special summon a Beast-type monster in my graveyard that is one level higher! I target the level 7 Voltic Bicorn so I can special summon the level 8 Lightning Tricorn!" Jean explained as his ace returned.

"We didn't plan on using that until the finals...but we have to win here! Go for it, Jean! Give him hell!" Breo shouted.

"Let's go! My turn...DRAW!" Jean shouted as he drew his card. "Perfect! From my hand, I summon the tuner monster, Spiritual Beast!"

A bear monster appeared next to Andre that looked translucent like a ghost.

Jean shouted as a shinning white pegasus with golden wings appeared. The pegasus had golden lightning bolt markings across it's body and had a horn that was shaped light a lightning bolt.

"Amazing..." Yuya uttered as he looked at the majestic beast.

"He brought it out. Well done, Jean." Andre said with a smirk.

"Alright! Go! Go! Go!" Breo shouted.

"Incredible! Jean has brought out a level 10 Synchro monster! But will this monster with 0 ATK be able to help him win this duel?!" Melissa shouted.

"This monster represents the ultimate power of Team Unicorn! I will use this monster to defeat you! Electro Pegasus' effect activates! When this card is summoned while I have Thunder Unicorn, Voltic Bicorn, and Lightning Tricorn in my graveyard, I can equip all three monsters to Electro Pegasus!" Jean shouted as the spirits of the three beasts appeared behind the unicorn.

"But it still has 0 ATK..." Crow said in a confused tone.

"This is the end! BATTLE! Electro Pegasus, attack Entermate Laugh Maker!" Jean commanded as his monster flew high in the air. "At this moment, Electro Pegasus' effect activates! During the Battle Phase, this card's ATK becomes the combined ATK of all monsters equipped to it through it's effect!"

"That's 2200...plus 2500...plus 2800..." Melissa said as she counted in her head. "That means...Electro Pegasus will have a whopping 7500 ATK! How incredible!"

"No way!" Yuya shouted in disbelief.

"This is our trump card! Go, Electro Pegasus!" Jean shouted as the unicorn roared while the spirits of the three beasts were absorbed into it.

"With a monster that strong...Yuya will...!" Yuzu trailed off in a worried tone.

"Go, Electro Pegasus! ELECTRIFYING BLITZ!" Jean cried as the pegasus was surrounded by yellow energy. The pegasus flew down at high speeds toward the magician, leaving a trail of shinning light in the air.

"...Could this be the end...?" Yuya questioned as he looked down.

"Win this, Jean!" Breo and Andre yelled.

When either players would take 1000 or more damage from an attack, I can discard this card from my hand and any damage that either player would take this turn is reduced to 0! Also, monsters on the field cannot be destroyed!" Yuya shouted as a red and green eyed warrior with red armor and a green shield appeared in front of the magician and blocked the attack.

"He stopped it...YUYA SAKAKI INCREDIBLY STOPPED THE ATTACK!" Melissa shouted as the crowd roared.

"He did it! I knew he could do it!" Yugo shouted with a grin.

"Impressive...I didn't expect you to survive even that...you really are something special..." Jean muttered.

"Unexpectedly surviving sure-kill attacks is all apart of entertaining!" Yuya said with a smirk.

"Though you may have managed to survive one attack, you won't be able to survive the next turn. Take a look at your deck." Jean said as Yuya looked down at his deck.

"I only have one card left in my deck..." Yuya uttered.

"No more playing defense. You have one final turn to try and end this duel. But against my Electro Pegasus that will have 7500 ATK during battle, there is nothing you can do." Jean said with a smirk.

"I might be facing impossible odds...but I won't give up..." Yuya said as he placed his hand on his chest where his pendulum was. "...the greatest performance an entertainer like me can perform is a miracle...and that's exactly what I'm going to do!"

Yuya placed his hand on the top of his deck and closed his eyes.

"My turn...DRAW!" Yuya shouted as he dramatically drew his card and held it high in the air.

"Here it is! With this draw, Yuya Sakaki has officially ran out of cards in his deck! Will he truly be able to pull off a miracle?!" Melissa questioned as the crowd roared in excitement.

Yuya looked at the card he had drawn for a brief before looking up with a smile. "LADIES AND GENTLEMAN! The finale of my miracle comeback performance is coming up! Don't blink or you might miss the climax to this magnificent duel!"

"Getting cocky, eh? You really think you can win?" Jean questioned.

"I don't think I can...I know I can! With the dueling I believe in, I will beat you with a smile on my face! The fun...HAS JUST BEGUN!" Yuya shouted as he snapped his fingers, causing the crowd to cheer.

"Go for it, kid!" Crowd cheered.

"Win this, Yuya!" Serena shouted.

"Alright! From my hand, I summon Recycle Magician!" Yuya shouted as a magician clad in blue and green appeared.

"Now, watch as my monsters perform a disappearing act! Recycle Magician's effect activates! When this card is normal summoned, I can release this monster and other Pendulum monsters on my field in order to add Pendulum monsters in my graveyard to my hand equal to the amount of monsters that were released! I release Odd Eyes, Laugh Maker, and Recycle Magician in order to add back three Pendulum monsters to my hand." Yuya explained as his monsters dispersed into light while three cards popped out of his graveyard slot.

"I don't care what you are trying to set up! You won't defeat my Electro Pegasus!" Jean shouted.

"We'll see about that! Now, with the Scale 3 Fate Magician and the Scale 8 Destiny Magician, I set the Pendulum Scale!" Yuya shouted as the two magicians carrying a sword and a shield respectively rose up into the blue columns.

"Those magicians...that means...!" Yugo said as he realized what Yuya was going for.

"With this, I can simultaneously summon monsters with levels 4 through 7! Swing Pendulum of my soul! Draw an arc of light across the ether! Pendulum Summon! Come forth, my monsters! Returning my Extra Deck, Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon! And from my hand, Seasons Magician!" Yuya cried as his ace monster returned along with a magician clad in yellow.

"Huh?!" Jean questioned.

"Magician of Fate that watches over all life! Change the course of fate with your divine light! Fate Magician's Pendulum Effect! While I have two monsters with the same level, I can target one of the monsters and that monster is now treated as a tuner! I target Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon!" Yuya shouted as the the magician threw it's green shield at the dragon which circled around it.

"What could he be going for...?" Melissa questioned.

"Magician of Destiny that watches over countless souls! Swing your sword and carve a new Future! Destiny Magician's Pendulum Effect! I can target one level 5 or higher tuner monster and make it's level 1!" Yuya shouted as female magician created a purple star by slashing through the air. The star then turned into energy that was absorbed into Odd Eyes.

"It's time for you all to meet the true star of my miracle comeback performance! I tune my level 1 Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon to my level 7 Odd Eyes Meteorburst Dragon!" Yuya shouted as the Synchro monster turned into a single green ring that flew around the Pendulum Dragon.

"What?!" Jean shouted in shock.

"Dragon with dual colored eyes! Gain the shining wings of light! Soar to the summit of supremacy! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 8! Dragon with piercing eyes of breakthrough! Supreme King White Dragon - Odd Eyes Wing Dragon!" Yuya shouted as his red and green eyed hybrid dragon with white and black armor and sharp light blue crystals appeared with a loud roar.

"This is the power of Pendulum combinedwith Synchro!" Yuya declared with a smile.

"A-Amazing! With an amazing combo, Yuya managed to bring out a majestic looking Pendulum Synchro dragon!" Melissa shouted as she remembered Yugo doing the same in his earlier matches.

"Alright! He brought out our dragon!" Yugo cheered.

"Though that is an impressive looking dragon, it doesn't come close to matching the power of my monster!" Jean yelled.

"I wouldn't talk so soon if I were you." Yuya smirked before he pointed at his dragon. "Odd Eyes Wing Dragon's effect activates! Once per turn, by targeting a monster on your field, the target has it's effects negated as long as this card is on the field! Go, Shinning Supremacy!"

The dragon flew forward and shot a powerful blue binding light from it's crystals at the pegasus.

"If he negates Electro Pegasus' effects, it won't be able to gain ATK during the Battle Phase!" Serena realized.

"I won't allow that! Electro Pegasus' effect activates! When this card is targeted by an effect, by sending one of the monsters equipped to this card to the graveyard, I can negate the effect! I send Thunder Unicorn to the graveyard to negate your dragon's effect!" Jean countered as the spirit of the unicorn appeared in front of the light and intercepted it.

"Not bad Jean...but my performance isn't over! Odd Eyes Wing Dragon's other effect activates! Once per turn, I can target a monster on my opponent's field and all monsters on my opponent's field are destroyed! Dichroic Destruction!" Yuya yelled as the dragon released a white hurricane of energy from it's wings.

"Electro Pegasus' effect activates! By sending Voltic Bicorn to the graveyard, that effect is negated!" Jean countered once more as the spirit of the bicorn appeared and intercepted the blast.

"Though you may have dodged both of my dragon's effects...your dragon will now be weaker than my dragon during battle!" Yuya explained with a smirk.

"That's correct! Electro Pegasus will now have 2800 ATK since the only card equipped to it is Lightning Tricorn!" Melissa shouted.

"If he attacks Electro Pegasus...and then attacks directly with Seasons Magician...that will be exactly 1300 damage!" Yuzu realized.

"Yuya can win this!" Yugo cheered.

"Tch..." Jean clicked his tongue in anger.

"This is the finale! BATTLE! Odd Eyes Wing Dragon, attack Electro Pegasus and end this duel!" Yuya commanded.

"At this moment, Electro Pegasus' effect activates! It's ATK becomes the ATK of the monsters equipped to it! Therefore, it's ATK becomes Lightning Tricorn's 2800!"

"I won't lose to you, Yuya Sakaki!" Jean roared as he sped forward and grabbed an Action Card that was in a bubble high in the air. "Action Spell, Attack Force! Since my monster is battling a monster with a higher ATK, it gains 600 ATK!"

"W-What?!" Yuya stuttered in disbelief.

"Jean's monster surpassed Yuya's dragon!" Breo cheered.

"Yuya Sakaki's life points will be depleted if this attack hits! With no cards in his hand and no cards facedown, is this duel truly over?!" Melissa questioned.

"N-No way...if this attack hits...Yuya will...!" Serena muttered with a horrified look.

"Don't let it end like this, kid!" Crow shouted at the top of his lungs.

"Yuya can't lose like this! He definitely won't! He absolutely won't!" Yugo yelled as he shook his head.

"Don't lose, Yuya!" Yuzu yelled with a desperate tone.

"I didn't expect you to put me in this situation...but this makes this duel even more entertaining. Thank you for helping me make this duel so entertaining, Jean." Yuya said with a smile.

"You were a worthy opponent, Yuya Sakaki. And if those are your last words, so be it. Go, Electro Pegasus! Counterattack! ELECTRIFYING BLITZ!" Jean yelled as his unicorn ignited into yellow energy as it flew forward.

"...who said I was finished?" Yuya asked with a grin.

"What?!" Jean shouted in shock.

"Entermate Odd Eyes Guardna's effect activates in my graveyard! During either player's turn, I can banish this card to special summon an Entermate monster from my graveyard! Come, Entermate Drago Remora!" Yuya shouted as a small yellow dragon with a large coin on it's head appeared.

"Drago Remora's effect activates! All dragon-type monsters on my field...gain 500 ATK!" Yuya exclaimed as the coin on the dragon's head shined, powering up the two dragons.

"Amazing! By calling out a monster from the graveyard, Yuya Sakaki was able to strengthen his dragon!" Melissa shouted as the crowd roared in excitement.

"I-Impossible...!" Jean uttered.

"Go, Odd Eyes Wing Dragon! Storming Attack - STRIKE SLASHER!" Yuya yelled. The dragon's crystal began glowing brightly, causing the hybrid to gain a blue aura. The dragon whirled as it flew up in the air and then dove down at even higher speeds at the opposing monster. The hybrid smashed through the pegasus, causing a powerful explosion.

JEAN: 1300-1200 LP

"You sure are persistent...!" Jean grunted.

"This is the climax! Go, Drago Remora! Direct Attack-!"

"I refuse to give up! Electro Pegasus' effect activates! When this card is destroyed by battle, I can special any monsters that were equipped to it upon being destroyed! But, they must be in defense mode and they are banished once destroyed. Since Lightning Tricorn was equipped to Electro Pegasus, I can special summon it to the field in defense mode!" Jean countered as his ace returned.

Lightning Tricorn (2800/2000) LVL: 8

"Tch...in that case, Drago Remora! Attack Lightning Tricorn!" Yuya commanded as his small dragon fired a yellow blast of lightning from it's horns that destroyed the beast.

"Nice block, Jean!" Breo shouted.

"Go, Seasons Magician! Direct Attack! Elemental Blast!" Yuya commanded as his magician fired a colorful beam of magical energy that hit Jean from behind.

"GAAH!"

JEAN: 1200-100 LP

"Jean only has 100 life points now...but...Yuya can't do anything else...!" Serena realized.

"No...this can't be...!" Crow grunted in anger.

"Hahaha! All I had to do is survive the turn and that's exactly what I did! Once you end your turn, all I will have to do is pass and you will deck out during your next draw.This was a great duel...but I am the winner!" Jean shouted with a triumphant smirk.

"Jean is right...with no cards in his hand, no facedown cards, and no way of getting Action Cards, it seems like this duel will be over shortly." Melissa commented with a somewhat disappointed look. She was honestly rooting for the underdog.

"It can't be over...there's no way..." Yugo said in disbelief.

"...Yuya...!" Yuzu uttered in a sad tone.

"Jean has won!" Breo shouted with a grin.

"Team Unicorn is victorious." Andre smirked.

"Now hurry up and end your turn so this duel can be over." Jean told the boy.

"...I guess this is the end..." Yuya looked down as with a defeated expression as his visor went dark.

"Accept defeat. End your turn!" Jean shouted.

"...I won't have to..." Yuya muttered.

"What did you say?" Jean asked.

Suddenly, a ball of unstable purple and black energy appeared in between the two duelists.

"What the hell is that?!" Jean questioned in a worried tone.

"...I'm glad you asked!" Yuya shouted as he looked up with a bright smile. "This is my grand finale of course!"

"Grand...finale...?!" Jean uttered in confusion.

"Entermate Nightmare Knight's effect...by banishing this card from the graveyard...each player that took damage this turn is...INFLICTED 1000 DAMAGE!" Yuya explained, causing everyone watching to gasp.

"W-WHAT?!" Jean shouted in utter shock.

"This has been fun, Jean. But it's time to go out with a bang! Ladies and Gentleman! Countdown with me!" Yuya shouted out to the crowd.

"Explosion!" Yuya shouted as he snapped his fingers.

The sphere of energy exploded, causing a powerful wave of dark energy to blast towards Jean.

"JEAN!" Breo and Andre shouted.

"...Yuya Sakaki...you truly are a duelist capable of becoming king..." Jean closed his eyes with a slight smile as he was consumed by the dark energy blast.

"I-I can't believe it! Yuya Sakaki managed to defeat Jean with a monster effect from the graveyard meaning the winner of this match is Team United Hope!" Melissa shouted with a surprised look. The crowd looked in shock for a moment before loudly cheering.

"That was amazing!"!

"Best duel ever!"

"YUYA! YUYA! YUYA!"

After racing back into the stadium, Yuya got off his D-Wheel and looked at the cheering crowd.

"I did it...I managed to make them smile without dueling violently...I stuck to the dueling I believe in...and won." Yuya uttered before grinning.

"Hey, Yuya Sakaki!" A voice from behind shouted.

Yuya turned his head to see the three members of Team Unicorn that he defeated.

"That was well played. Even I didn't expect those moves that you made." Andre told the boy.

"You sure are strong! But the next time we duel, we will definitely come out on top! We'll climb our way out of the underground if we have to!" Breo declared.

"That was the greatest match I've ever participated in. You are truly an amazing opponent. I wish to duel you again someday. I wish you the best of luck." Jean said as he extended his hand out.

"Thanks, Team Unicorn. I hope we meet again." Yuya smiled as he shook Jean's hand.

A group of Security then walked over and escorted the losing team away to the underground. Yuya frowned as he looked back at them, but he knew that when he became the king, he would make sure that they were freed along with all the other good people that were sent underground.

"When all hope seemed lost, Yuya Sakaki persevered and ended up sweeping the entirety of Team Unicorn! He's truly amazing! Will this young man end up facing off against the king in the finals?!" Melissa questioned.

"Not bad...Yuya Sakaki. It seems that you have finally decided the path you want to take." Jack said with a slight smirk as he watched from his throne.

"Yuya!" Serena shouted as she and Crow ran over to the boy.

"Hey..." Yuya greeted with a tired look.

"You did it! I knew you could do it! I'm so proud of ya'!" Crow shouted as he patted the boy's shoulder.

"I'm sorry that you were forced to pick up my slack. I swear that I will be more focused next time." Serena said. Yuya looked at the girl's expression and could tell she was majorly disappointed in herself.

"Don't worry, Serena. I know that things haven't been easy with everything else that is happening. You aren't alone in this." Yuya told the girl.

"He's right. We are in this together!" Crow shouted with a smirk.

"You are right. Thank you." Serena nodded.

"Now let's get back. I seriously need to eat." Yuya said with a laugh.

"I told you that food was the more important than smiles." Crow joked, referring to their old argument from long ago.

"I'm honestly too hungry to disagree." Yuya said as the three shared a laugh while walking out of the stadium.

With Teams Wings of Victory

"He won! I knew he would!" Yugo cheerfully shouted.

"He sure did..." Yuzu said with a happy and relieved looked.

"I told you he would win, Yuzu. There was no reason to be worried after all." Yugo told the girl.

'Yuya...I'm so proud of you...' Yuzu thought to herself with a smile.

"You two seem happy your friends won. But them winning means we will potentially have to face them in the next rounds." Shun told the two.

"He's right..." Yuzu uttered as she thought about what Shun said. With the only three other teams left being Team Devastation, Team United Hope, and Team Blades of Bravery, there was a good chance that they would have to face her friends.

On one hand, she didn't want to face Team United Hope because of Yuya and Serena. Serena had grown to be a very loyal friend and Yuya was her love.

On the other hand, she didn't want to face Team Blades of Bravery because of Masumi, Yuto, and Gongenzaka. Masumi was a good friend and rival that pushed her to become stronger, Yuto was a good friend who saved her from being captured by Yuri during the Battle Royale, and Gongenzaka was her childhood friend. She didn't want to knock out anymore Lancers like what she had to do to Yaiba and Tsukikage.

But if they weren't facing those two teams, they would be facing Team Devastation. The team that defeated every team they had faced with only one member each duel. The team that the Black Rose Witch was on, who had almost defeated Serena and herself not that long ago.

"This means the next duel is going to be our toughest duel yet...no matter who we have to face." Yuzu said with a worried look.

"It shouldn't matter who we face. We must treat everyone we battle the same. We have to win to survive. Even if that means crushing our opponents." Shun told the girl.

"How could you say such a thing?! What if the team we have to face next time is Yuto's team?! Would you really be ok with sending him underground?!" Yuzu questioned.

"...Yuto knows as well as I do that every duel at this point is do or die. He understands why we have to defeat our opponents. We have to continue moving forward so we can save Ruri!" Shun shouted with a serious look.

"Would Ruri want you to sacrifice Yuto like that?!" Yuzu yelled. Shun's eyes widened as he thought about his kind and loving sister.

"No...she wouldn't." Shun answered honestly. But there conversation was then interrupted by a panicking Yugo.

"No...I can't duel them...I can't..." Yugo grumbled as he grabbed his head.

"Yugo? What's wrong?!" Yuzu questioned with a worried look.

"Yuya...Yuto...if I face one of them...I could lose control again...I could hurt them again...like before..." Yugo uttered in a traumatized tone as he thought about what had happened that horrible night where he dueled Yuto and Yuya.

"...Yugo...it will be ok..." Yuzu uttered as she sat down next to the boy and tried to comfort him.

Yugo like this made Shun think about Yuto. He saw that his best friend briefly lost control during his previous matches. And seeing Yugo this worried about losing control made him nervous for Yuto.

"Yuto...please be ok..." Shun closed his eyes and softly said.

"Where...the hell...am I..." Yuto said to himself as he got off the ground. He looked up and saw that he was inside a cage. He ran to the edge and grabbed the bars, trying to force himself out.

"That's not going to work." A voice from the shadows told him.

"Who the hell is there?!" Yuto questioned.

"How's it going, Yuto?" A grey haired man in a black coat said as he walked into view.

"Kiryu Kyosuke...?" Yuto uttered in confusion.

"So you remember my name? I'm honored." Kiryu smirked as the Black Rose Witch and Sergey Volkov appeared behind him.

"Your teammates...the two that attacked Yugo, Yuzu, and Serena...you bastards...what the hell do you want with us?!" Yuto questioned with a pissed off look.

"I don't know why you are angry. When we dueled, you kept pestering me about who I worked for. I thought you would be happy to finally find out." Kiryu told the imprisoned teen as Yuto heard the footsteps of someone approaching.

"It's you...Roget...!" Yuto said as the blonde man came into view.

"Greetings, Yuto. I'm happy we are able to meet again." Roget said to the boy.

"You bastard...every obstacle we have faced so far in this dimension has been because of you." Yuto said as he looked down. Security, prison, the hunters, everything they have been through was because of Roget.

"That's right. I've been in control this entire time. There is no point of fighting against me, child." Roget said with a smirk.

"Are you working for Academia?! Is that why you have all of these Fusion monsters?!" Yuto questioned.

"My relation to Academia is much more complicated then that." Roget told the boy.

"Then what the hell is your motivation here?! Why are you doing this?!" Yuto shouted.

"It's simple really. I have been dictating things from the shadows for some time. Soon, I will become the dictator of this dimension! The entire Synchro Dimension will become my kingdom!" Roget exclaimed with a mad smile.

"You want to rule this dimension?!" Yuto repeated.

"That's right. Before you and your Lancers came to this world, my original plan was to use Team Devastation to win the Friendship Cup and defeat the King so no one could stop me. But due to your friend's interference, I've had to adapt." Roget told the boy.

"Wait...you were the one that recruited those criminals to defeat us Lancers in the tournament, weren't you? Just like how you recruited Team Security!" Yuto realized.

"How perceptive. You are right. Team Lotten, Security, Catastrophe, and Dark Hunters were hired by me to take out the Lancer teams. And unfortunately, not a single one of them were successful, even after I gave some of them Fusion monsters." Roget said with a somewhat annoyed look as he thought about those failures.

"I kept telling you we were all that you needed." Kiryu said with a smirk.

"All of the lives that you made hell...Yugo's life...just so you can rule this world...you will pay for what you have done!" Yuto yelled as he slammed the bars of his cage.

"That's where you are wrong. Nothing you and your friends do can stop my master plan. With the power of the Death God, Black Rose Witch, and the Duelist Crusher, all of your friends will be sent underground. And after the King and the Council are dealt with, this dimension will become my kingdom. Not even Academia will be able to stop me." Roget said with a mad grin.

"So you aren't allied with Academia..." Yuto uttered.

"That's right. I've told you this for a reason. I want to give you an offer." Roget told the confused boy.

"An offer...?" Yuto asked.

"I'm sure as someone from the Xyz Dimension, you are very much against Academic for personal reasons. And unlike your Lancers friends, I have much more powerful allies and a literally army of duelists at my disposal. We aren't just some group of teens led by the son of the Professor." Roget explained.

"What the hell are you getting at?!" Yuto questioned.

"Why don't you join my side, Yuto? I've seen the way you duel and I can tell you have a powerful sense of conviction. You will do anything and beat anyone that gets in the way of you saving that Ruri girl from Academia, right? If you help me take down those who oppose me, I can guarantee her safe return to you." Roget offered the boy.

"You don't mean that...there's no way you could do that..." Yuto shook his head, not falling for the blonde man's words.

"On the contrary, I am working on gathering certain bargaining chips that the Professor will do anything for." Roget explained.

"And what is that?" Yuto asked.

"Why, your friends of course. Yuya, Yugo, Serena, and Yuzu." Roget answered, shocking the boy.

"...W-Why does he need them?! Tell me!" Yuto demanded to know.

"Well, that involves a much more complicated answer. But I'm sure he would accept a four for one offer, it's the logical thing to do." Roget told the boy.

"No...you can't be serious...I can't trade away my friends lives..." Yuto uttered as he grabbed his head.

"Why not? When you were held captive before I had you duel Frost, I scanned your memories and I've seen how much your friends have held you back." Roget explained.

"You...scanned my memories...?!" Yuto uttered in shock.

"Your objective has been to save Ruri, correct? And so far, what have you done to accomplish that? You were forced to duel against your so-called friends multiple times before you allied yourself with them. Then, you fought in a tournament that wasted loads of time." Roget began.

"Stop it..." Yuto uttered as he grabbed his head in pain.

"You fought against the Obelisk Force for a dimension that wasn't even yours. You allied yourself with the son of the Professor just to put your rescue mission on hold yet again to participate in another tournament in another dimension." Roget continued.

"Stop it." Yuto firmly said.

"You could've made it to Academia by now and rescued her with all the time you have wasted. Do you even realize how much your friends have held you back?" Roget questioned.

"STOP IT!" Yuto screamed as he looked up with glowing dark blue eyes. Yuto then blinked as he regained control while his eyes returned to it's normal grey color.

"That pain you are feeling right now. That's not because of me. That's because of your friends. All you have done is sacrifice your mission for them and what have they done for you in return?" Roget questioned.

"..." Yuto didn't respond and just looked down.

"By separating yourself from them, you can free yourself from that pain. You can save the girl you love. Join me, Yuto." Roget offered to the distraught boy.

"Why...why me?" Yuto quietly asked.

"Well at first, I originally had my eyes on your other two look-a-likes, Yugo and Yuya. The former seemed easy to manipulate due to his love being captured like your was. Also, Yugo's rivalry against the king that formed in the exhibition match could work well with my plans. The latter seemed to have a lot of repressed emotions while dueling. This could work well to turning him against his friends if that anger was fully unleashed." Roget explained.

"...What makes them different?" Yuto questioned.

"The difference between those two and you is...there dueling inspires change." Roget said.

"Inspires...change?"

"There dueling inspires the people of this dimension to change themselves and fight against the system that I have worked so hard to build. As long as they are still competing, they are a threat to my plans. That's why I need them dealt with. And your dueling is filled with vengeance and rage. Your dueling brings violence to the people watching, not change. Not to mention, both of them have Yuzu and Serena on their respective teams, so them all being sent underground together works out well."

Roget then looked to his three duelists before smirking.

"I'll have Team Devastation deal with one of them while having you deal with the other. All you have to do is help me and I will request a trade for your love. All of your hard work will be rewarded. Now, what do you say, Yuto? Will you join me?" Roget asked.

"All you have done here...IS WASTE MY DAMN TIME!" Yuto looked up and angrily shouted.

"Hm?"

"Pursuing my friends, throwing us in jail, and making us participate in this tournament...THAT IS WHAT HAS HELD ME BACK! THAT'S WHY I HAVEN'T SAVED RURI YET! And you dare try to blame my friends for holding me back? And then you try turning me against them? HOW DARE YOU?! I'll never turn against them! We will stop you for all of the pain and suffering you have caused! And once I'm done dealing with you, I will save Ruri!" Yuto angrily roared.

"I see...you have a strong will, I give you that. I guess I will have to make you comply by using a different method..." Roget said as he grabbed a remote from his pocket and clicked it.

"GRAAAH!" Yuto screamed as he was shocked by the electricity coming from the cage before passing out.

"Take him back to his room." Roget told his men who carried the boy away.

"So, what will you do now?" Kiryu questioned.

"I will just have to use my backup plan." Roget said as he pulled out a electric chip from his pocket...

With Team Blades of Bravery

"I expected Yuto to be back here already..." Gongenzaka said as he and Masumi had recently returned after being medically cleared.

"Yeah...he must've taken less of a beating then us if he won, right?" Masumi asked.

"That would seem to be the case. Hopefully he is alright." Gongenzaka said.

The two then saw the door open and two men carried the unconscious boy into the room and placed him on his bed.

"What the hell happened to him?!" Masumi questioned.

"He is simply worn out from his match. He was medically cleared but it seems he is still extremely fatigued. He will be fully ready to duel by tomorrow, he just needs rest." One of the men stated before they walked out and shut the door.

"He is knocked out cold...but he seems ok." Gongenzaka saidas he check Yuto's pulse.

"They were definitely hiding something." Masumi said as she crossed her arms.

"Mostly likely...but we will have to find out from Yuto when he wakes up." Gongenzaka said as the two stared at the unconscious boy.

With Team United Hope

"That was good!" Crow rubbed his stomach after eating his meal.

"Though I'm not fond of this place, the food sure beats Academia's food." Serena said after eating all of her food.

"Yeah..." Yuya saidas his stomach grumbled, signifying he was full.

"Yuya...I really gotta thank you for what you did out there...you saved us..." Crow thanked the boy.

"Don't mention it." Yuya smiled.

"We won't fall behind next time, right, Crow?" Serena asked the Synchro user.

"Yeah. We'll definitely win our next matches. And then we'll keep winning, no matter who we face!" Crow exclaimed.

"Yeah." Serena nodded.

"Right..." Yuya trailed off.

"What's wrong, Yuya?" Crow questioned.

"I...just don't want to duel Yuto, Yugo, or Yuzu yet. I don't want to duel them in this situation." Yuya trailed off in a sad tone.

"Don't worry. I'm sure everything will work out. We just have to keep our heads high and keep moving forward." Crow cheerfully said.

"Yeah." Yuya said with a smile.

"Speaking of matchups...it seems we are about to find out who we are facing." Serena told her teammates.

"WHAT?!"Yuya shouted as he looked to the television which had Melissa Claire on the screen.

At the Stadium

"Hey folks! Iknow you are all awaiting for the matchups of the semi-final round...and luckily for you fans...the matchups have already been decided! Please look at the screen to see who will be facing off in the semi-final round of this year's Friendship Cup!" Melissa yelled as the camera pointed to a holographic screen.

"It's time to see who will be our opponents." Gongenzakacommented.

"It doesn't matter who we face, we will win." Masumi said with a confident look.

"Yugo...no matter who we face...it will be ok...everything will work out." Yuzu comforted her teammate.

"Yeah...in order to accomplish me and Rin's dream, I won't be afraid." Yugo said, regaining his resolve.

"..." Shun crossed his arms as he impatiently waited.

"No matter who we face...we are facing them together." Serena told her team.

"That's right. We are in this together!" Crow exclaimed.

"With my dueling...I will win against who ever we face..." Yuya said to himself as he grabbed his pendulum.

"And the matchups are...!" Melissa said as the matchups of the teams appeared on the screen...

Hey guys! This was a super fun chapter to write and I hope y'all enjoyed it!

The duel was really fun to write and I am glad I was able to use Team Unicorn in this fic. If you watched 5Ds, take my word for it that Andre was an extremely OP duelist. He managed to defeat both Jack Atlas and Akizawhile only losing 2700 life points. It took Yusei to defeat Andre and the two remaining members. I did buff Jean by giving him that new Synchro at the end of the duel. I didn't really love the way Yusei beat Jean because of Jean wanting to end the duel through battle instead of waiting for Yusei to deck out on the next turn. I thought thisversion would be much more epic. Some of you probably thought Yuya was going to get some sort of new monster this duel but I thought ending the duel with a combo of his Entermate and Odd Eyes Wing Dragon was more than enough. I didn't want to give Yuya a new monster since he has already revived two new monsters in his first match and will be receiving a third soon enough (Nirvana High Paladin).

As for the story, I really enjoyed focusing on Roget and Yuto. Roget was a very interesting villain towards the beginning of the Synchro arc but the writers kinda failed with him. He just kinda seemed lame IMO. But, a crafty and logical villain like him has a ton of potential for a story like this. I definitely feel like it was a smarter move for him to go for Yuto instead since he is way more violent and will do anything to save Ruri. Also, he is portrayed as stronger than Yugo and Yuya at the moment.

As for the match up reveals, I hope you liked the matchups and I hope I excited you all! You will have to wait and see everyone's reactions in the next chapter.

I'm super hyped to write the next chapter and I'm already a quarter of the way done since I already started writing the duel. It might take me a little while longer than normal because this chapter will be a long one. Might have to split it into two but maybe not. I'm super motivated and I can't wait to continue working on it.
