It was late at night. As Yuzu and Shun slept, Yugo was tossing and turning in his bedwhile having a nightmare.

In his nightmare, he was stuck in a black void off nothingness.

As he looked out into the distance, he could see the figure of Rin.

"Rin? RIN! I'll save you, Rin!" Yugo shouted as he began to run after the girl.

But no matter how fast he ran, he couldn't catch up to the green haired girl.

"Why haven't you save me...have you really forgotten me...?" Rin uttered in sadness as she faded into the darkness.

"RIN! NO!" Yugo cried as he tried reaching out to his love before she faded away. "No...Rin...I'm sorry..."

"Yugo! Help me!" A girl's voice cried from behind Yugo.

Yugo quickly turned around and saw an image of Yuzu being dragged away by Security.

"Your team lost! That's means your going away for a long time!" The officer shouted as he dragged the girl away.

"LET HER GO! YUZU!" Yugo cried as the girl was dragged away into darkness.

"Your dueling is full of selfishness! You only care about creating a better future for yourself! And your only traveling with the Lancers to save your friend, not to save the dimensions! Someone like that doesn't deserve to be king!" The voice of Jack Atlas shouted at Yugo.

"No...that isn't true...!" Yugo said as he covered his ears and closed his eyes.

After he could no longer here the voice, he opened his eyes and saw Yuya and Yuto standing over him. The two boys had their eyes glowing red and blue respectively.

"Yuya?! Yuto?!" Yugo uttered.

"WE WILL DESTROY EVERYTHING!" Yuya shouted.

"WE WILL REDUCE THIS WORLD TO ASHES!" Yuto yelled.

"No...stop it...!" Yugo nervously said. As the boy stepped back, he felt a hand on his shoulder.

The boy turned around and his eyes widened as he saw a mirror image of himself with glowing cyan colored eyes.

"WE WILL BECOME ONE!" The twisted mirror image of Yugo shouted.

"GAH!" Yugo shouted as he woke up.

"...Yugo? Are you ok?" Yuzu asked as he woke up from the boy's scream.

"I-I'm fine...I just had a nightmare...it's nothing..." Yugo said, trying not to worry the girl.

"...Do you want to talk about it?" Yuzu asked.

"Not really." Yugo answered.

"You know, Yuya used to have a lot of nightmares when his dad first went missing." Yuzu told the boy.

"Huh?" Yugo said in confusion.

"He always refused to talk about it, but I was persistent. After enough smacks from my fan, he opened up to me. And after he talked it out, he felt much better." Yuzu explained.

"Are you saying your going to smack me with your fan until I spill my guts?" Yugo asked.

"That depends. Will you tell me what's wrong?" Yuzu asked with a sly smile.

"...Fine. After hearing about our match against Yuto, I've had this uneasy feeling that I can't shake. I don't want to lose myself...but it keeps happening. The past two times Yuto has dueled, I've lost control. And now that I actually am dueling him, I feel like things will be much worse. But if I hold back, we'll be sent underground and I'll never be able to save Rin." Yugo explained in a sad tone.

"Yugo..." Yuzu softly said. The girl walked over to the boy and held her arm out. "I don't know what's going to happen in the future. But I do know that whatever happens, you won't be alone. We'll always be there for you. With the power of our bonds that we share with our friends, we can overcome anything. Even the darkness."

"...You're right. I'm glad to have you as my friend, Yuzu." Yugo smiled as he shook the girl's hand.

"Now, get some sleep. We got a big duel coming up." Yuzu said as she walked over to her bed.

"Right. Goodnight, Yuzu."

"Goodnight, Yugo."

"Those two..." Shun uttered with a slight smile as his teammates reminded him of Yuto and Ruri.

With Team United Hope

As Serena and Crow slept, Yuya laid awake in his bed.

After seeing the match ups for the next match, he was somewhat thankful that he didn't have to duel his friends. But on the downside, he had to duel the most mysterious and troublesome team in the tournament; Team Devastation.

After seeing the Black Rose Witch and Kiryu defeat their opponents so easily, Yuya was disgusted by their ruthlessness.

Despite being able to pull off a nearly impossible win during his last match, he still felt quite nervous for the upcoming duel.

Though he was able to win while staying true to his dueling, his opponent weren't trying to kill him.

He really didn't want that to happen. He worked so hard during his last duel to perform his Entertainment Dueling and the crowd actually enjoyed it. He didn't want all that hard work to go to waste by losing control and dueling violently. He wanted to spread the dueling that he and his dad believed in.

As he thought about all of this, Jack Atlas' words echoed through his mind.

"You say you want to entertain the crowd with your dueling, but you only want to do that for yourself. Your dueling is nothing more than self-satisfaction!"

"It's clear you only try to make the crowd smile to make yourself happy! Putting on a show with flashy tricks for your own self interest is far from entertainment. The only way to entertain and make the crowd truly smile is to show the crowd your true strength!"

"If you truly believe that, then you wouldn't automatically abandon your ideals the moment you start losing!"

As these thoughts raced through his head, Yuya held his blue pendulum in front of his face.

"Can I really do this...?"

"Yuya...is everything ok?" Serena asked.

"Sorry, Serena. I didn't mean to wake you." Yuya apologized.

"It's fine. I couldn't sleep much either." Serena admitted.

"What's wrong?" Yuya asked.

"I should be asking you that question. You look pretty troubled." Serena said as she sat up on her bed.

"It's nothing really..." Yuya said.

"C'mon, let me return the favor for last night when you let me talk about my problems." Serena told the boy.

"Well...my Entertainment Dueling is really important to me. During my last duel, I was able to stay true to it. But against Team Devastation, their violent dueling could trigger my anger." Yuya explained with a worried look as he clutched his pendulum.

"I understand why you feeling nervous. Last time I faced the Black Rose Witch, she was able to wipe the floor with Yuzu and I. And Kiryu was strong enough to defeat three of our comrades and tied against Yuto. And we don't even know the third member yet. The odds really aren't stacked in our favor." Serena commented.

"Yeah..." Yuya agreed.

"Even so, we still can't give up. We have to face our doubts and fears head on." Serena told the boy.

"You're right...but I can't let Mom...Dad...and Yuzu...and the crowd down. Mom entrusted me with Dad's Smile World...so I could spread smiles and Entertainment Dueling across the dimensions... Yuzu wants me to stay true to my dueling...and on top of all of that, I still have to entertain the crowd without losing...I don't want to fail them..." Yuya uttered in sadness as his hands trembled.

Seeing this, Serena walked over to the boy and held one of his hands, causing it to stop shaking.

"You know...you remind me of that friend I told you about." Serena explained.

"...I do?" Yuya questioned.

"He was such a kind boy. When I was younger, back when the Professor use to lock me away in that goddamn castle, he used to sneak in and visit me with the help of his dragon. He was a true friend." Serena explained as she looked down with an uncharacteristic smile.

"Did he make you happy?" Yuya asked.

"...He did. Once I got a bit older, the Professor allowed me to attend classes with the other kids. We became even closer at that point. But..." Serena paused for a moment as her smile faded. Yuya could feel Serena's hand slightly flinch as the girl thought about her fast.

"Serena..."

"After some stuff happened, I tried to escape Academia which lead to me meeting Reiji for the very first time." Serena explained.

"Wasn't that...3 years ago?" Yuya asked.

"That's correct. My friend found out I tried to leave Academia...leave him...and he distanced himself from me." Serena explained.

"I see..." Yuya uttered. He could tell she was leaving some other things out, but he was ultimately happy that Serena felt comfortable enough to share her past with him.

"After that, he began to spiral down a dark path. That was 3 years ago. He's done unspeakable things at this point that I don't know if I can forgive. But deep down, I still want to help him...but it might be too late." Serena explained before looking into Yuya's eyes "The point is, if you let other people's actions and words effect you that much, you'll drive yourself mad and fall into darkness."

"...Thanks for telling me all of that." Yuya said with a smile. He was glad that Serena was beginning to open up a bit more. And hearing that advice helped him refocus his mind.

"...It's nice to be able to talk to someone..." Serena admitted.

"You can always talk to me, Serena." Yuya told the girl.

"Now, get to sleep. We are going to have one of the toughest duels of our lives tomorrow. We can't afford to be falling asleep on our D-Wheels." Serena said as she got up.

"Haha, right. Goodnight, Serena."

"Goodnight, Yuya."

The next morning, with Team Blades of Bravery

"Yuto is still knocked out..." Masumi said in a worried tone. Ever since Yuto was dragged into their room, he had been unconscious.

"Hopefully he wakes up soon..." Gongenzaka uttered.

Suddenly, the two heard knocking at the door, signaling that it was there turn to duel.

"Damn it...Yuto, wake up! C'mon!" Masumi shook the boy.

"YUTO!" Gongenzaka shouted in the boy's ear.

"...I'm up...!" Yuto grumbled as he rubbed his head.

"Thank god...we have to go. It's time for our match." Masumi told the boy.

"Before we go, what happened to you after the match?" Gongenzaka asked.

"...We'll discuss it later...after we win." Yuto said as he walked towards the door with a stern look on his face. He wasn't happy he had to duel his friends; Yugo and Yuzu. And he certainly wasn't happy that he had to duel his best friend; Shun.

"Are you sure?" Masumi questioned.

"Yeah...let's get this over with...!" Yuto said.

Despite the fact he was facing his friends, he had to win.

He had to keep moving forward.

No matter what.

At The Stadium

"Howdy everyone! Are you all ready for the semi-finals of this year's Friendship Cup?" Melissa questioned the crowd.

"YEAH!" The crowd roared in excitement.

"Out ofthese four extremely powerful teams, which two will come out on top and face each other in the finals? Let's find out! First, we have Team Blades of Bravery vs Wings of Victory!" Melissa shouted as both teams made their ways to the pits.

"Kurosaki, I'm guessing you want to go first?" Yugo asked.

"Correct." Shun said as he put his helmet on. As the teen got on his D-Wheel, he was stopped by Yuzu who stood beside him.

"Please remember...you are fighting your comrades, not your enemies. Going all out against your opponent and violently crushing your opponent are two completely different things." Yuzu told the older teen.

"Tch..." Shun clicked his tongue before driving off.

"Kurosaki..." Yuzu uttered.

"Don't mind him, Yuzu. He won't hurt our friends. At least, he probably won't." Yugo said in an unsure tone.

"Thanks for that, Yugo." Yuzu sarcastically said.

"No problem." Yugo said like an idiot, not picking up the sarcasm.

Meanwhile, the other team was trying to decide who should take the lead.

"I, the man Gongenzaka, want to be the first to charge into battle. I have to prove myself for my last defeat." Gongenzaka told his team.

"Shun is a tough opponent...be careful." Yuto warned.

"Good luck, Gongenzaka. Go get him!" Masumi cheered.

"I, the man Gongenzaka, won't let you down!" Gongenzaka shouted as he drove off.

"First up for Team Wings of Victory is the powerful Xyz user, Shun Kurosaki! And from Team Blades of Bravery, we have the strong Synchro user, Noboru Gongenzaka! Which one of these Lancers will come out victorious?!" Melissa questioned as the teens pulled up to the starting line.

"Just because we are comrades doesn't mean I'll go easy on you. You will be crushed by my strength!" Shun shouted.

"Bring it on, Kurosaki! I, the man Gongenzaka, will definitely defeat you!" Gongenzaka shouted in a determined tone.

"Alrighty everyone! Let the first match of the semifinals begin! Action Field On! Field Spell, Crossover Accel activate!" Melissa shouted as a sphere of cards bursted, causing them to spread all through out the track.

DUEL MODE: ON! AUTOPILOT, STAND BY!

At the same time, both duelist's duel disk blades activated and a holographic screen with a countdown starting at 3 appeared in front of the two riders.

"RIDING DUEL...ACCELERATION!"

SHUN: 4000 LP vs GONGENZAKA: 4000 LP

Both duelists raced off with Shun taking the lead against Gongenzaka. Though he tried to catch up, Shun was able to keep his lead and passed the first gate, exiting the stadium.

"Shun Kurosaki passed the first gate, meaning he will be taking the first move! Let's see how this battle between Lancers plays out!" Melissa shouted.

"I won't hesitate to defeat you!" Shun shouted.

"I, the man Gongenzaka, wouldn't want you to hold back! Now, come!" Gongenzaka shouted.

"My turn. From my hand, I summon Raid Raptors - Rudder Strix!" Shun shouted as a small blue mechanic bird appeared.

Raid Raptors - Rudder Strix (0/1600) LVL: 4

"Rudder Strix's effect activates. When this card is summoned to the field, you take 300 points of damage!" Shun shouted as his monster fired a blast of yellow energy that hit the front of Gongenzaka.

GONGENZAKA: 4000-3700 LP

"By targeting Rudder Strix, I can special summon Raid Raptors - Pain Lanius!" Shun shouted as a small green mechanical bird appeared.

Pain Lanius (100/100) LVL: 1

"Pain Lanius' effect changes it's level to the target's level until the end of the turn. Pain Lanius becomes level 4!"

"Also, due to Pain Lanius' effect, I take damage equal to the target's ATK or DEF. I choose to take damage equal to Rudder Strix's ATK." Shun explained.

"Rudder Strix only has 0 ATK...meaning you won't take any damage." Gongenzaka realized.

"That's right. Now, I overlay my level 4 Pain Lanius and Rudder Strix! Avian hunter of the afterlife, seek the truth with your dark eyes, and grasp glory with your sharp talons! Xyz Summon! Take flight! Rank 4! Raid Raptors - Force Strix!" Shun yelled as the blue mechanized owl appeared.

Raid Raptors - Force Strix (100/2000) RNK: 4 OVU: 2

"I set two cards facedown, turn end." Shun concluded as his two set cards materialized.

"I, the man Gongenzaka, am honored to battle against an opponent as strong as you. But for my team, I will defeat you! My turn!" Gongenzaka shouted as he powerfully drew. "From my hand, I summon the tuner monster, Superheavy Samurai Kobu-C!"

A yellow and orange mechanical warrior appeared next to Gongenzaka.

Superheavy Samurai Kobu-C (900/900) LVL: 2

"And while I control a Superheavy Samurai monster, I can special summon Superheavy Samurai Rokka-9!" Gongenzaka shouted as a maroon armored warrior carrying a staff appeared.

Superheavy Samurai Rokka-9 (600/600) LVL: 6

"Now, I tune my level 2 Kobu-C to my level 6 Rokka-9! Shinobi hiding in the darkness, emerge onto this warground with a cry that echoes in the mountains! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 8! Superheavy Ninja Saruto-B!" Gongenzaka chanted as a blue and black machine warrior appeared.

Superheavy Ninja Saruto-B (2000/2800) LVL: 8

"Saruto-B's effect activates! Once per turn, while I have no Spells or Traps in my graveyard, I can destroy one Spell or Trap on your field and you take 500 points of damage! I choose to destroy your facedown on the right!" Gongenzaka yelled as a blast of wind shattered Shun's facedown on the right while also shaking his D-Wheel.

SHUN: 4000-3500 LP

"My monster can attack while in defense mode! Battle! Saruto-B, attack Raid Raptors - Force Strix!" Gongenzaka exclaimed as his monster raised it's arms to the sky, causing the powerful hurricane of wind to enclose on the Xyz monster.

"Destroying only one of my face downs isn't enough to stop me! Quick Play Spell, Rank Up Magic Escape Force! The attack is negated and I can rank up Force Strix 1 rank higher!" Shun yelled as his monster flew upwards, dodging the winds. The mechanized owl then turned into dark energy that flew back into the overlay network.

"What?!" Gongenzaka yelled.

"Unseen bold falcon, spread your ferocious wings and reveal your hidden power now! Rank Up Xyz Change! Come forth! Rank 5! Raid Raptors - Etranger Falcon!" Shun shouted as a yellow and black armored falcon flew onto the field.

"Shun Kurosaki managed to dodge the attack and brought out another Xyz monster! What a counter!" Melissa yelled.

"Grr...I end my turn." Gongenzaka concluded.

"I'll end this right now! My turn! From my hand, I summon Raid Raptors - Retrofit Lanius!" Shun shouted as a skinny green mechanized bird appeared.

Raid Raptors - Retrofit Lanius (800/1200) LVL: 4

"Retrofit Lanius can be treated as two monsters for an Xyz Summon through it's effect. I overlay my level 4 Retrofit Lanius!" Shun shouted.

"An Xyz Summon using a single monster?!" Masumi shouted with a surprised look.

"Avian hunter of the afterlife, seek the truth with your dark eyes, and grasp glory with your sharp talons! Xyz Summon! Take flight! Rank 4! Raid Raptors - Force Strix!" Shun yelled as the second copy of his monster appeared.

Raid Raptors - Force Strix (100/2000) RNK: 4 OVU: 1

"A-Another Force Strix?" Gongenzaka questioned with a worried look.

"Force Strix's effect activates! By using a overlay unit, I add a Raid Raptors monster to my hand! I add Raid Raptors - Booster Strix to my hand!"

OVU: 1-0

"Now, I activate the Spell Card, Rank Up Magic Raid Force! This card ranks up Force Strix 1 rank higher!" Shun shouted as his monster turned into dark energy that flew back into the overlay network.

"Another Xyz Summon...?" Yuya said with a surprised look.

"Ferocious falcon, break through this fierce battle and spread your wings! Destroy our gathering foes! Rank Up Xyz Change! Come forth! Rank 5! Raid Raptors - Blaze Falcon!" Shun yelled as a blue eyed red and black armored falcon appeared.

Raid Raptors - Blaze Falcon (1000/2000) RNK: 5 OVU: 1

"Two Rank 5 Xyz monsters...amazing..." Gongenzaka uttered in awe.

"Etranger Falcon's effect activates! By using an overlay unit, I can target a monster on your field and it's destroyed! Then, you take damage equal to it's ATK!" Shun yelled as he pointed as the Synchro monster.

OVU: 3-2

Two cannons on the Falcon's shoulders. It's They fired two yellow blasts that blasted towards the Synchro.

"I won't allow that! At this moment, Superheavy Samurai Twin Shield-D's effect in my hand activates! When a level 8 or lower Machine-type monster on my field is targeted by a card effect, I can release that monster to special summon this card! I release Superheavy Ninja Saruto-B to special summon Superheavy Samurai Twin Shield-D!" Gongenzaka shouted as his Synchro monster dissolved into particles, causing the blasts to miss it's target.

A large samurai carrying two large shields appeared on Gongenzaka's field. The samurai had grey armor with silver lining along with glowing silver eyes.

Superheavy Samurai Twin Shield-D (0/1000) LVL: 7

"Twin Shield-D's effect allows it to gains the DEF of the monster released for it's summon!" Gongenzaka shouted as the spirit of Saruto-B appeared behind his monster.

Twin Shield-D (0/1000)-(0/3800)

"That won't stop me! Etranger Falcon's effect activates! I target your monster and it's destroyed!" Shun yelled as his monster fired another round of blasts at the samurai. The blasts shot through the samurai's shields and obliterated it.

OVU: 2-1

"But since my monster had 0 ATK, I don't take any damage!" Gongenzaka yelled.

"But now you are open for a direct attack! Battle! Etranger Falcon, attack him directly! Chaos Eraser!" Shun commanded as the falcon charged a powerful sphere of black and purple energy between it's wings. The falcon then fired a beam of destructive energy from the sphere at the Gongenzaka.

"I'm not done! Twin Shield-D's effect in the graveyard activates! By banishing it when I'm attacked directly, the attack is negated! Also, I can special summon two Twin Shield tokens to my field." Gongenzaka yelled as the spirit of his monster blocked the attack with it me shields. Then, two mini versions of his monster appeared to defend him.

Twin Shield Tokens x2 (0/0) LVL: 1

"That won't stop my attack! After all, Blaze Falcon's effect allows it to attack you directly! Go, Blaze Falcon! Direct Attack! Raptor's Break of Thunderclap!" Shun shouted as his falcon flew past the token monsters and rammed into Gongenzaka.

GONGENZAKA: 3700-2700 LP

"At this moment, Blaze Falcon's effect activates! Since this card inflicted damage to you, I can target a monster on your field and it is destroyed! I target one of your tokens!" Shun shouted as his monster released a barrage of missiles the blew up a token.

"Grr..." Gongenzaka grunted from the force of the explosion.

"Since the Battle Phase is over, I now activate Blaze Falcon's effect! By using an overlay unit, all special summoned monsters on your field are destroyed and you take 500 damage for each card destroyed!" Shun shouted as small red cannons detached from the mechanized falcon and flew in front of the token. The cannons fired cyan lasers that disintegrated the remains token, causing a shockwave that shook Gongenzaka's D-Wheel.

GONGENZAKA: 2700-2200 LP

"By using two powerful Xyz monsters, Shun Kurosaki was able to break through all of Noboru Gongenzaka's counters!" Melissa shouted.

"You survived for now. Turn end." Shun concluded.

"This is Kurosaki's strength..." Gongenzaka said as he looked at the Shun, who was giving off an overwhelming pressure. "I, the man Gongenzaka, won't back down against an opponent as strong as you. I will demonstrate the power of my Steadfast Dueling to all of my opponents!"

"In that case, hurry up and take your turn. I'm waiting for your counter attack." Shun said with a confident look.

"My turn, draw!" Gongenzaka yelled as he drew his card. "Alright! I activate the effect of Superheavy Samurai Supply-R in my hand! By sending it to the graveyard, I can draw a card for every monster on your field! I draw two! While my opponent controls two or more monster, I can special summon Superheavy Samurai TenB-N!"

A green machine warrior appeared on Gongenzaka's field.

Superheavy Samurai TenB-N (800/1800) LVL: 4

"When this card is successfully summoned I can special summon a Superheavy Samurai monster from my grave! Come back, Superheavy Samurai Kobu-C!" Gongenzaka shouted as the yellow and orange mechanical warrior returned.

Superheavy Samurai Kobu-C (900/900) LVL: 2

"Now, I tune my level 2 Kobu-C to my level 4 TenB-N! Roar, demon god, rise your war cry! Arrive at this raging battlefield of evil! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 6! Superheavy God Oni Shutendoji-G!" Gogenzaka yelled as the red and yellow mechanized warrior that carried a spiky club appeared.

Superheavy God Oni Shutendoji-G (500/2500) LVL:6

"Next, from my hand, I summon Superheavy Samurai Soul Double Horns!" Gongenzaka shouted as piece of armor with blue horns protruding from the shoulders appeared.

Superheavy Samurai Soul Double Horns (0/300) LVL:1

"Soul Double Horns' effect! Once per turn, I can equip it to a Superheavy Samurai monster! Shutendoji-G can be treated as a Superheavy Samurai monster! Therefore, Soul Double Horns is equipped to it!" Gongenzaka shouted as the armor attached itself to the oni.

"Go, Gongenzaka!" Yuya cheered.

"My monster can attack in defense position due to it's effect! Battle! Shutendoji-G, attack Raid Raptors - Blaze Falcon! Oni Smasher!" Gongenzaka yelled as his monster's club shot forward on a metal chain and smashed into the red falcon, causing a powerful explosion.

SHUN: 3500-2000 LP

"I'm not done yet! Soul Double Horns allows the equipped monster to attack twice per turn! Go, Shutendoji-G! Attack Raid Raptors - Etranger Falcon! Oni Smasher!" Gongenzaka yelled as his monster's club shot forward on a metal chain.

"Booster Strix's effect activates in my hand! By discarding this card when a Raid Raptors Xyz monster is attacked, by using an overlay unit from that monster, the attack is negated!" Shun shouted as Etranger Falcon flew out of the way of the attack.

OVU: 1-0

"I end my turn!" Gongenzaka concluded.

"My turn! I activate the Spell Card, Rank Up Magic Skip Force! I can rank up Blaze Falcon 2 ranks higher!" Shun yelled as his falcon turned into dark energy that flew back into the overlay network.

"Another Rank Up?!" Gongenzaka yelled.

"Rigorous Falcon, carry the strength of our brethren and unleash it upon all who oppose us! Rank Up Xyz Change! Come forth! Rank 7! Raid Raptors - Arsenal Falcon!"

"If he attacks and destroys Shutendoji-G and then attacks directly, Kurosaki will win!" Yugo cheered.

"Battle! Arsenal Falcon, attack Shutendoji-G! Flock Barrage!" Shun shouted as his monster extended it's wings outwards. Multiple small mechanical birds shot out of the falcon's wings and flew towards the Synchro monster.

"I, the man Gongenzaka, won't be defeated so easily! I activate the effect of Superheavy Samurai Soul Fire Armor in my hand! By discarding this card, a level 5 or higher defense position Superheavy Samurai monster on my field can't be destroyed by battle! But it loses 800 DEF each time it isn't destroyed!" Gongenzaka shouted as his monster was surrounded by a burning aura, protecting it from the wind but weakening it.

"Soul Fire Armor's effect! My monster isn't destroyed and it loses 800 DEF!" Gongenzaka countered once more.

"That was close..." Masumi sighed in relief.

"Prideful falcon, spread your wings dyed in the blood of heroes! Advance through the path of revolution! Come forth! Rank 6! Raid Raptors - Revolution Falcon!" Shun shouted as a mechanized falcon appeared that had pitch black armor and blood red eyes.

Shun shouted as his falcon released a burst of flames from it's wings. The flames burnt the samurai, weakening it considerably.

"Go, Revolution Air Raid!" Shun yelled as his monster flew up into the air. The falcon released a barrage of missiles that blew up the samurai.

"Damn it..." Gongenzaka grunted.

"This isn't over! My turn, draw!" Gongenzaka shouted as he drew. "Let's go! Superheavy Samurai Supply-R's effect in my graveyard activates! By banishing it along with two other Superheavy Synchro monsters, Shutendoji-G and Saruto-B, I can draw until I have 5 cards in my hand!"

"Alright! He refreshed his hand!" Yuya cheered.

"From my hand, I summon Superheavy Samurai Jisha-Q!"

A magnet looking warrior appeared next to Gongenzaka.

"Is that so?" Shun questioned.

"Battle! At this moment, I activate Shinobi-AC's effect! By halving it's DEF, it can attack directly!" Gongenzaka shouted as his ninja meditated, causing a shadow clone to appear beside it.

"Go Shinobi-AC! Direct Attack!" Gongenzaka shouted as the shadow clone passed through Big Ben-K and leaped towards Demack. "Shinobi Shadow Slash!"

"Do you really think I wasn't prepared for this? Counter Trap, Necro Raptors! The damage from a direct attack is reduced to 0! Then, I can special summon Raid Raptors - Blaze Falcon from my graveyard!" Shun shouted as a a barrier blocked the kick while Blaze Falcon returned.

"Gongenzaka..." Yuya uttered.

"I, the man Gongenzaka, won't be defeated just yet! After taking damage from a direct attack while having no Spells or Traps in my graveyard, I can summon this card in defense mode! Come, Superheavy Samurai Kokorogama-A!" Gongenzaka shouted as a green machine samurai appeared.

"I, the man Gongenzaka, won't be defeated by you! My Steadfast Dueling will prevail! My turn!" Gongenzaka shouted in a determined tone as he drew.

"You really think you can win? I will crush you!" Shun shouted.

"That's not true! From my hand, I summon the tuner monster, Superheavy Samurai Ryozu-Z!" Gongenzaka shouted as a red and brown samurai appeared.

"Kyu-B's effect activates! It gains 900 DEF for each special summoned monster on your field!" Gongenzaka exclaimed as fire bursted out of his monster's back.

"That's more than enough to defeat Kurosaki!" Yugo realized.

"Not bad..." Shun grumbled.

"Next, I activate the effect of Superheavy Samurai Blitz Armor in my hand! Since I have no Spells or Traps in my graveyard, I can equip this card from my hand to a Superheavy Synchro monster!" Gongenzaka shouted as a dark blue chest plate appeared on the warrior. "And due to Blitz Armor's effect, when the equipped monster battles, the opposing monster has it's effects negated!"

"What?!" Shun yelled.

"I'm ending this right now! BATTLE! Kyu-B, attack Raid Raptors - Revolution Falcon! Burning Gaia Shot!" Gongenzaka commanded. The beastly warrior pointed fired a red and orange blast of energy from it's staff at the black falcon.

"Since Blitz Armor's effect negated Revolution Falcon's effect, Kyu-B won't be weakened due to the Xyz monster's effect!" Melissa explained.

"I won't lose! Trap Activate! Raid Raptors - Readiness! If I were to take damage, that damage is reduced to 0!" Shun shouted as a barrier protected him from the blast.

Kyu-B (1900/4300)-(1900/3400)

"I'm not done yet! Blitz's Armor's other effect activates! Since Kyu-B failed to inflict damage through battle, by sending Blitz Armor to the graveyard, Kyu-B can attack again!" Gongenzaka yelled as the armor bursted into particles.

"What?!" Shun shouted in a surprised tone.

"Go, Kyu-B! Attack Raid Raptors - Blaze Falcon! BURNING GAIA SHOT!" Gongenzaka roared as his monster fired another burning blast at the red falcon.

"Kurosaki!" Yugo yelled.

"Trap Activate! Raptor's Defense! By banishing a Raid Raptors Xyz monster in my graveyard, I can reduce an instance of damage by the amount of ATK the banished monster had! I banish Arsenal Falcon to reduce the damage I would take by 2700! Meaning, the 2400 damage I would have taken is reduced to 0!" Shun countered as the spirit of falcon blocked protected Shun from the explosion.

Kyu-B (1900/3400)-(1900/2500)

"I wasn't able to end it..." Gongenzaka grunted in a disappointed tone. "I end my turn..."

At that moment, Shun drove by an Action Card and picked it up. He looked at the card and his eyes narrowed before turning to his opponent.

"Not being able to finish me off will cost you this duel!" Shun aggressively shouted as he pointed back at Gongenzaka.

"No...this won't be the end...I won't let you win!" Gongenzaka yelled.

"We will see about that! During the end of the turn Raptor's Defense was activated, I can revive a Raid Raptors Xyz monster whose ATK is less then the ATK of the monster banished through this card's effect! But, it has it's effects negated! Revive, Raid Raptors Revolution Falcon!" Shun yelled as his mechanized black falcon appeared.

"This is the beginning of the end for you! My turn, draw!" Shun shouted as he violently drew. "From my hand, I summon Raid Raptors - Necro Vulture!"

A dark armored vulture appeared next to Shun.

"Necro Vulture's effect! By releasing itself, I can add a Rank Up Magic in my graveyard to my hand! I add Rank Up Magic Skip Force to my hand!" Shun yelled as the vulture bursted while his spell popped out of his graveyard slot.

"That means...!" Gongenzaka gasped.

"I activate the Spell Card, Rank Up Magic Skip Force! I rank up Revolution Falcon 2 ranks higher!" Shun yelled as his falcon turned into dark energy that flew back into the overlay network. "Dauntless falcon! Swirl up a raging inferno and become the flash of light that sears the land to ash! Rank Up Xyz Change! Soar! Rank 8! Raid Raptors - Satellite Cannon Falcon!"

A huge mechanized falcon with white and red armor appeared. The falcon had multiple green orbs along with energy cannons protruding from it's armor.

"BATTLE! Satellite Cannon Falcon...attack Superheavy Demon Beast Kyu-B!" Shun commanded as his falcon flew high in the air. "Action Spell, Piercing Sword! During battle, my monster gains 600 ATK!"

Satellite Cannon Falcon (4000/2000)-(4600/2000)

"But I won't take any damage since my monster is in defense mode!" Gongenzaka yelled.

"That's not true! Due to Piercing Sword's effect, my monster can inflict piercing damage!" Shun exclaimed.

"Piercing damage?!" Gongenzaka shouted as his eyes widened in shock.

"That will be 1200 damage..." Masumi realized.

"And Gongenzaka only has 1200 life points left..." Yuto said with a worried look.

"Go, Eternal Avenge!" Shun roared as his falcon high above the atmosphere. It locked onto it's target and fired multiple blasts that formed into a singular gigantic green blast.

"Gongenzaka!" Yuya cried.

"I...the man Gongenzaka...refuse to lose! I discard Superheavy Samurai Guard-R from my hand to reduce the damage to 0!" Gongenzaka countered at the last moment as his monster was consumed by the green blast, causing a powerful explosion.

"Tch...I'll end this duel next turn. I end my turn." Shun concluded.

Satellite Cannon Falcon (4600/2000)-(4000/2000)

"He survived!" Yuya cheerfully said.

"It's amazing that he managed to last this long against Kurosaki..." Serena said with an impressed look.

"...I...the man...Gongenzaka...WILL DEFEAT YOU!" Gongenzaka shouted in a determined tone. "My turn...DRAW!"

"You really think you can win?" Shun questioned with an amused look.

"I'll show you my power! Superheavy Samurai Ryozu-Z's effect activates! By banishing this card in my graveyard while I control no monsters and have no spells or traps in my graveyard, I draw two card!" Gongenzaka shouted as he drew.

"He's building up his hand..." Yugo said with a worried look.

"I activate the effect of Superheavy Samurai Sakashi-E in my hand! By sending this card from my hand to the graveyard while I control no monsters, I can banish a Machine-type Synchro monster in order to add back two Machine-type monsters to my hand whose combined levels are equal to or lower than the banished monster! I banish the level 8 Shinobi-AC to add back the level 4 Jisha-Q and level 4 TenB-N!"

Gongenzaka sent the blue armored samurai to the graveyard as two cards popped out of his graveyard slot.

"From my hand, I summon Superheavy Samurai Jisha-Q!" Gongenzaka shouted as a magnet looking warrior appeared next to Gongenzaka.

"If this attack hits...Shun will take 1800 damage...and lose..." Yuto uttered in a surprised tone.

"Alright! End this!" Masumi cheered.

"Interesting..." Shun uttered.

"BATTLE! Susano-O, attack Raid Raptors - Satellite Cannon Falcon! KUSANAGI SACRED SLASH!" Gongenzaka commanded as his monster swung it's glowing blade at the large falcon.

"That won't be enough!" Shun shouted as he reached down for an Action Card. "Action Spell Evasion! The attack is negated!"

The large armored falcon flew high the sky, dodging the blade.

"No way...he saved himself with an Action Card..." Masumi uttered in disbelief.

"...Thank you, Kurosaki. This has been an intense match and I'm glad you have taken me seriously." Gongenzaka told his opponent.

"There is no need to be thankful. I never hold back against my opponents..." Shun said as he thought about what Yuzu had told him before.

Just because he wasn't holding back, didn't mean he would have to go out of his way to hurt his opponent. Going all out against his opponent and crushing his opponent are not the same thing.

"...but the fact that you have put up this much of a fight...has earned my respect." Shun said as he looked back at Gongenzaka.

Gongenzaka looked at Shun and could tell he was being sincere.

"Kurosaki...I am honored to fight against you. And I'm honored to fight with you in the future as comrades." Gongenzaka responded with a proud smile.

"Comrades...that's right." Shun said with a half-smile before regaining his serious expression. "But this duel will be over soon enough during my next turn."

"You're wrong...because my turn isn't over yet!" Gongenzaka declared, surprising everyone.

"What?!" Shun shouted.

"Superheavy Samurai Spirit Sword effect in my hand activates! By sending it to the graveyard when a Superheavy monster's attack is negated, that monster can attack again and it gains 1000 DEF!" Gongenzaka shouted as a shinning blade appeared in the Synchro monster's hand.

"That card from his last match...no way..." Yugo uttered in shock.

"He did it!" Yuya cheered.

"Go, Susasno-O! Attack Raid Raptors - Satellite Cannon Falcon and end this duel! KUSANAGI SPIRIT SLASH!" Gongenzaka yelled as his monster used it's new sword to slash through the falcon, causing a powerful explosion.

"But due to the Equip Spell, Raptor's Ultimate Mace's effect, when the equipped monster would be destroyed in battle, the damage I would take from that Battle is reduced to 0. Also, I can add a Rank Up Magic card from my deck to my hand." Shun explained as a card popped out of his deck.

"Your card had that kind of effect...!" Gongenzaka uttered in disbelief.

"Amazing! Shun managed to avoid defeat and added a new Rank Up Magic card his hand!" Melissa exclaimed.

"Damn it...turn end. At this moment, Spirit Sword's effect ends." Gongenzaka concluded as the sword dispersed into light.

"Also, in order to keep Sacred Katana on the field, I must pay 500 life points during the end of my turns."

"Yeah...but Shun still has a trick up his sleeve." Yuto said, knowing his friend's moves.

"Let's go! I activate the Spell Card, Rank Up Magic Soul Shave Force! By paying half of my life points...!"

"I can special summon a Raid Raptors Xyz monster from my graveyard! Come, Raid Raptors Satellite Cannon Falcon!" Shun yelled as his large mechanized falcon returned.

"Then, I can rank up the summoned monster 2 ranks higher!" Shun shouted as his large falcon turned into dark energy that flew back into the overlay network.

"N-No way...a Rank 10 Xyz monster...!" Gongenzaka nervously stuttered.

"Falcon of ultimate creation! Fly to victorious heights with the wills of your countless comrades! Rank Up Xyz Change! Come forth! Rank 10! Raid Raptors - Ultimate Falcon!" Shun chanted. The sky went dark and lightning crackled as the large mechanized falcon appeared. It had dark blue and golden armor with golden blade-like wings protruding from it's body. The falcon had a red Raid Raptors mark in the center of it's armor and two red orbs on the sides of it's armor. The new monster roared as it flew through the sky beside Shun.

"A-A-Amazing! Shun has brought out an even more powerful Xyz monster! To think he had a monster even strong than the previous one!" Melissa yelled as the crowd roared in excitement.

"Due to Soul Shave Force's effect, I take damage equal equal to the summoned monster's ATK during the end of the turn." Shun explained, shocking everyone.

"So you will lose during the end of the turn?!" Gongenzaka questioned in shock.

"I will win...no matter what! Let's go! Ultimate Falcon's effect activates! Once per turn, by using an overlay unit...all cards on your field have their effects negated until the end of the turn and all monsters on your field lose 1000 ATK!" Shun explained.

"But Gongenzaka's monster is in defense mode...so why is he lowering it's ATK?" Yugo questioned.

"I don't think that is what he is going for. If he negates all of the effects of cards on Gongenzaka's field...that means Sacred Katana's effect is negated!" Yuzu realized.

"That's right! That means Susano-O loses 2000 DEF!" Yugo exclaimed.

"Go, Light of Revolution!" Shun yelled as his as monster shined brightly, causing it's light to envelop Susano-O and Sacred Katana.

"It isn't anymore. I activate the Equip Spell, Raid Raptors - Iron Heart! By equipping it to a Raid Raptors Xyz monster, it gains 500 ATK!" Shun yelled as his falcon roared while powering up.

Ultimate Falcon (3500/2000)-(4000/2000)

"It overpowers Susano-O...!" Yuya uttered with a worried look.

"Tch..." Gongenzaka clicked his tongue as he looked at the massive falcon.

"BATTLE! Ultimate Falcon, attack Superheavy Koujin Susano-O! FINAL GLORIOUS BRIGHT!" Shun commanded as the falcon flew high in the sky. A sphere of purple and black energy formed in front of the golden falcon. The falcon roared as it launched the sphere at the Synchro monster, causing a powerful explosion.

"Ghh...but since Susano-O was in defense mode, I don't take any damage!" Gongenzaka grunted from the explosion.

"He can't attack again...so how can he win before the end of the turn?" Serena questioned.

"I have survived the turn. And during the end of the turn, you will take 3500 damage through your own Spell's effect! This duel is over!" Gongenzaka yelled.

"I...end my turn." Shun said as he closed his eyes, shocking everyone.

"What?! There's no way...Kurosaki can lose here...like this..." Yuzu gasped.

"There has to be something else he can do..." Yugo uttered.

"Alright! Gongenzaka won!" Masumi cheered.

"..." Yuto silently looked at the screen with a stern look.

"Soul Shave Force's effect activates. During the end of the turn, I take damage equal to the summoned monster's ATK..." Shun explained the spell appeared beside him.

The Spell began glowing before exploding next to Shun, enveloping him completely...

"KUROSAKI!" Yuzu screamed.

SHUN: 750-10 LP

Shun raced out of the smoke witha semi-transparent barrier around him.

"...What?! 10 life points?!" Gongenzaka's jaw dropped.

"Raid Raptors - Readiness' effect in the graveyard activates when I would take effect damage. By banishing it, I can make my life points 10 to reduce the effect damage to 0." Shun explained.

"So you used Soul Shave Force knowing you would survive...!" Gongenzaka realized.

"You were right when you said this duel was over because I'm ending it right now! Ultimate Falcon's effect activates! During the end of the turn when this card was Xyz Summoned using a Raid Raptors Xyz monster, all monsters on your field lose 1000 ATK. But, since you control no monsters...you take 1000 damage!" Shun shouted, causing Gongenzaka's eyes to widen.

"1000 damage during the end phase?!" Yuya shouted in shock.

"...I guess I haven't surpassed you yet...it was an honor dueling against you. Now, come!" Gongenzaka shouted, causing Shun to slightly smile.

"This is the end! LAST SHINE!" Shun yelled. His gold and blue falcon fired two red blasts from it's red orbs on it's armor.

"GONGENZAKA!" Masumi shouted with a horrified look.

Gongenzaka closed his eyes and smirked as he was consumed by the red blast, causing a powerful explosion.

"It's over! With only 10 life points left, Shun Kurosaki managed to win the duel with his new Xyz monster!" Melissa shoutedas the crowd cheered while Gongenzaka returned to the stadium.

"He did it!" Yugo cheered.

"Gongenzaka..." Yuzu uttered. Although she was happy her teammate won, she wasn't rooting against her best friend either.

"I, the man Gongenzaka, apologize for not being able to beat Kurosaki." Gongenzaka bowed his head.

"Shun is an extremely powerful duelist and youreduced his life points to 10. That's impressive." Yuto told his teammate.

"Agreed. Besides, I wanted another shot at Kurosaki for how he defeated me back in Standard." Masumi said as she got on her D-Wheel and put on her helmet.

"Are you sure, Masumi?" Yuto asked.

"Of course. I'll defeat him. I have to." Masumi said before driving off.

"Up next for Team Blades of Bravery is Masumi Kotsu! Will this powerful Fusion user be able to beat Shun Kurosaki?" Melissa questioned as Masumi caught up to her opponent.

As Masumi drove, she thought about the moment she vowed to make Kurosaki pay.

Days ago, before the Lancers left for Synchro

"Reiji Akaba...you have no right to take away our memories like that!" An enraged Yaiba spoke.

"Truthfully, I am sorry for resorting to such a move. But I needed to secure Shun Kurosaki as our ally while keeping you three apart of the Lancers. I couldn't have you three going public about Kurosaki being the one to card those professors. Besides, I made it so you would regain your memories days later, after the invasion. Now that we have made it this far, there is no liner a need for such precautions." Reiji explained.

"It still doesn't make it right..." Hokuto grunted.

"The reason I did such a thing was to make sure the Lancers would be strong enough to counter Academia's forces. Shun Kurosaki's joining us led to Yuto and Yugojoining, and they all played vital roles in defeating Academia. Your short term amnesia was a necessarysacrifice in the end." Reiji told the group.

"In thatcase...I understand.You did what you needed to do to save our home."Masumi spoke.

"That's right." Reiji nodded.

"But taking away our memories isn't the true problem. The trueproblem isthat we are allying ourselves with that monster, Shun Kurosaki!" Masumi shouted.

"Masumi?" Yaiba said, surprised at his friend's outburst.

"He carded many of the LDS Professors! They were YOURworkers! They were taken away from their families because of him! Do you even care?!" Masumi questioned.

"Though the acts he committed were inexcusable, he is not the true enemy. The ones that are behind his home's destruction is Academia. And if we don't ally ourselves with the strongest duelists possible, we will fall to their might." Reiji told the girl.

"...I refuse to forgive him." Masumi growled.

"I don't need your forgiveness." A voice said from the corner of the room, revealing to be Shun.

"You...! Once this war is over...I'm going tomake you pay for the lives you've destroyed!" Masumi shouted.

"Heh.At your current strength, you won't even make it through the war." Shun said before walking to the door.

"I swear...that I will become strong enough to defeat you during our next match, Kurosaki!" Masumi yelled, causing Shun to stop in front of the door.

"...We'll see about that." Shun smirked before walking out of the room.

"Kurosaki...I swore that I would defeat you during our next match! The circumstances don't change anything!I'll deplete your 10 life points right here and now!" Masumi declared as she pointed at Shun.

"Careful, I only had 10 life points when I beat you and your friends before. I'll do the same again." Shun taunted.

"It won't be the same result this time! Let's go!"

"My turn, draw!" Masumi shouted as he drew before looking at her cards and smirking. "I activate the Spell Card, Pot of Greed! I draw two cards! Next, I activate the Spell Card, Gem-Knight Fusion! I fuse Gem-Knight Emeral, Obsidia, and Crysta! Brilliant emerald of good fortune! Sharp jet-black darkness! Eye of quartz! In a whirlpool of light, combine to bring forth a new dazzling radiance! Fusion Summon! Come forth! Level 10! Dazzling lady, Gem-Knight Lady Brilliant Dia!"

The female knight appeared that had white armor with purple diamonds on it and had a red cape. The knight carried a sword in her right hand that had a thin blade.

"Alright! She already brought out her strongest monster!" Gongenzaka yelled.

"She really is going for the win..." Yuto said as he noticed Masumi's extremely serious look.

"Let's go! From my hand, I summon Gem-Knight Amber!" Masumi shouted as a yellow knight appeared.

Gem-Knight Amber (1600/1400) LVL: 4

"Lady Brilliant Dia's effect activates! I can Fusion Summon using a single material listed as Fusion material! I'll use Gem-Knight Amber to Fusion Summon!" Masumi shouted as the yellow knight swirled into the fusion vortex. "Grind Fusion! Come forth! Level 7! Gem-Knight Prism Aura!"

A knight with yellow and white armor appeared next to Lady Brilliant Dia.

"Two Fusion monsters...!" Shun grumbled in anger.

"Gem-Knight Fusion's effect in my graveyard activates! By banishing Gem-Knight Emeral, I can add this Spell from my graveyard to my hand! Next, Prism Aura's effect activates! Once per turn, by discarding a Gem-Knight card, a card on your field is destroyed! I discard Gem-Knight Fusion to destroy Ultimate Falcon!" Masumi shouted as her monster swung it's sword, creating a yellow energy slash that flew through the air.

"That's not good enough! Ultimate Falcon is unaffected by card effects!" Shun countered as the energy slashed barely made a mark on the golden falcon.

"Damn it..." Masumi grunted.

"If she destroyed Ultimate Falcon...she could have won with a direct attack..." Serena commented.

"I set a card facedown, turn end!" Masumi concluded.

"I...will tear those Fusion monsters to shreds! My turn!" Shun growled as he drew.

"Kurosaki..." Yuzu mumbled as she looked at the angered duelist.

"I activate the Spell Card, Raptor's Draw! By banishing a Raid Raptors Xyz monster in my graveyard, I draw a card for every two ranks the banished monster has! I banish the Rank 8 Satellite Cannon Falcon to draw four cards!" Shun shouted as he drew his cards. "With this, I will defeat you! While I control an Xyz monster, I can special summon these two copies of Raid Raptors - Singing Lanius!"

Two small yellow mechanical birds appeared on the field.

"Next, I summon Raid Raptors - Vanishing Lanius from my hand!" Shun yelled as a green mechanized bird appeared.

"Now, I overlay my two level 4 Single Lanius and my Vanishing Lanius! Obscured falcon! Raise your sharpened talons in front of adversity and spread your wings of rebellion! Xyz Summon! Come forth! Rank 4! Raid Raptors – Rise Falcon!" Shun shouted as his ace monster flew onto the field.

Raid Raptors – Rise Falcon (100/2000) RNK: 4 OVU: 3

"Not that monster...!" Masumi grunted.

"Rise Falcon's effect activates! By using an overlay unit, Rise Falcon gains ATK equal to all of your special summoned monster's ATKs!" Shun shouted as orange energy shot out of Lady Brilliant Dia and Prism Aura and into the mechanized falcon. The falcon let out a cry as it gained a fiery aura.

OVU: 3-2

Rise Falcon (100/2000)-(5950/2000)

"Also, Rise Falcon can attack all special summoned monsters on your field! I'll defeat with this monster just like before! BATTLE! Rise Falcon, attack both of her monsters and end this duel! Brave Claw Revolution!" Shun commanded as his falcon covered in fiery energy flew towards the fusion monsters.

"No...not again! I won't lose to you! Trap Activate! Gem-Crystallization! By releasing a Gem-Knight monster on my field when your monster attacks, all monsters on your field with less original ATK then the released monster cannot attack and have their effects negated until the end of the turn!" Masumi explained.

Shun grabbed an Action Card, hoping that it would be able to negate that effect, but it didn't seem like he got the card he needed.

"Damn..." Shun grunted.

"So you didn't get a useful Action Card, eh? That means you can't stop this card! I release Prism Aura and Rise Falcon can't attack and has it's effects negated!" Masumi countered as the fusion bursted into particles. The falcon then became covered in crystals, causing it's attack to stop.

Rise Falcon (5950/2000)-(100/2000)

"Tch...Go, Ultimate Falcon! Attack Gem-Knight Lady Brilliant Diamond! Final Glorious Bright!" Shun yelled as his monster launched a sphere of dark energy at the Gem-Knight.

"Trap Activate! Half Unbreak! My monster isn't destroyed and the damage is halved!" Masumi countered as a bubble formed around her monster, protecting it.

MASUMI: 4000-3700 LP

"I set a card facedown, turn end!" Shun concluded.

"My turn! From my hand, I summon Gem-Knight Lazuli!" Masumi shouted as a smaller Gem-Knight appeared.

Gem-Knight Lazuli (600/100) LVL: 1

"Lady Brilliant Dia's effect! I can perform a Fusion Summon using Gem-Knight Lazuli!" Masumi shouted as her monster swirled into the fusion vortex. "Grind Fusion! Come forth! Level 5! Gem-Knight Lady Lapis Lazuli!"

A women clad in blue and white appeared in defense mode beside Lady Brilliant Dia.

"A monster in defense mode?" Yugo questioned.

"She must be planning on using her monster's effect to take out Kurosaki!" Yuzu realized.

"Gem-Knight Lazuli's effect activates! When this card is sent to the graveyard, I can add a normal monster from my graveyard to my hand. I add Gem-Knight Obsidia! Next, Lapis Lazuli's effect activates! Once per turn, by sending another copy of this card from my Extra Deck to my graveyard, I can inflict damage equal to half of this card's current ATK plus 100 damage for every Extra Deck monster on the field! That's 1200 plus 400! Meaning, you take 1600 damage! You're finished!" Masumi shouted as her monster shot a blue blast of energy directly at Shun.

"Counter Trap, Raid Raptors - Silent Roar activate! While I control a Raid Raptors monster, an effect that would inflict damage to me is negated!" Shun countered.

"But now you have nothing defending you, Kurosaki! I have won! BATTLE! Gem-Knight Lady Brilliant Dia, attack Raid Raptors - Rise Falcon! Majestic Diamond Strike!" Masumi yelled as her monster lunged forward with it's sword pointing at the Xyz monster.

"Remember when you said I grabbed an Action Card that wasn't useful? You were wrong, I just couldn't use it yet! Action Spell, Damage Banish! The damage is reduced to 0!" Shun countered as the sword struck through the falcon.

"So close..." Masumi said as she glared at her opponent. "I'll get you next time, Kurosaki! Turn end!"

"I understand you want revenge. But I won't allow you to obtain it easily! My turn...DRAW!" Shun shouted as he violently drew.

"Shun..." Yuto uttered.

"Raptor's Draw's effect activates in the graveyard! By banishing this card along with a Rank 5 or higher Raid Raptors Xyz monster, I can draw two cards! I banish Blaze Falcon!" Shun shouted as he drew again.

"He's definitely planning something..." Crow remarked.

"I...am ending this duel right now! From my hand, I summon Raid Raptors - Shadow Lanius!" Shun shouted as a grey and black armored bird appeared.

Raid Raptors - Shadow Lanius (600/1900) LVL: 4

"Shadow Lanius' effect activates! When this card is normal summoned, I can special summon a level 4 or lower Raid Raptors monster from my graveyard! Come, Raid Raptors - Vanishing Lanius!" Shun shouted as the green armored bird returned.

"Now, I overlay my level 4 Vanishing Lanius and Shadow Lanius! Fierce falcon! Turn your pain into burning rage and slash through everything with your fiery blade! Xyz Summon! Come forth! Rank 4! Raid Raptors - Blade Burner Falcon!" Shun yelled as a blue and silver armored falcon appeared. The falcon had red lining throughout it's armor and had a red Raid Raptors symbol on it's chest plate. The falcon had blade-like wings and an extremely large silver blade attached to it's chest plate.

"Another new monster...this can't be good..." Masumi gulped.

"Blade Burner Falcon..." Yuto mumbled as he looked at the monster. It had been a while since he saw that card.

"Blade Burner Falcon's effect! If my opponent life points are at least 3000 higher than mine...Blade Burner Falcon gains 3000 ATK!" Shun yelled as his monster's blade gained a fiery crimson glow.

Blade Burner Falcon (1000/1000)-(4000/1000)

"U-Unbelievable! Shun Kurosaki has not one, but TWO monsters on his field with 4000 ATK!" Melissa shouted in awe.

"No way...!" Masumi looked in disbelief at the two powerful Xyz monsters.

"I'n ending this duel right now! BATTLE! Blade Burner Falcon, attack Gem-Knight Lady Brilliant Dia! BLAZING FURY SLASH!" Shun commanded as his monster flew through the air and slashed through the middle of the fusion. As the Gem-Knight bursted, a powerful explosion occurred that knocked Masumi's D-Wheel backwards.

"Ghh...!" Masumi grunted as she stabilized her D-Wheel.

"It's not over! Blade Burner Falcon's effect activates! When this card destroys a monster by battle, I can use any amount of overlay units to destroy monster on the opponent's field equal to the amount of overlay units used! I use 1 overlay unit to destroy Lapis Lazuli!" Shun shouted as his monster absorbed a single overlay unit.

The falcon flapped it's wings as multiple blade shards flew through the air and shredded the blue female monster.

"Now Masumi is defenseless!" Gongenzaka realized.

"And a single attack from Ultimate Falcon will end this duel." Yuto said as he looked at his teammate.

"Begone! Go, Ultimate Falcon! Direct Attack! FINAL GLORIOUS BRIGHT!" Shun yelled as his falcon launched another dark sphere at Masumi.

"MASUMI!" Gongenzaka yelled.

"I won't lose! Trap Activate! Gem-Shield! By discarding Gem-Knight Obsidia, the direct attack is negated!" Masumi countered as a shield made of gems appeared and blocked the attack.

"Hmph. I set a card facedown, turn end!" Shun concluded.

"That was close..." Gongenzaka sighed in relief as he wiped the sweat off of his forehead.

"Yeah...Shun is really going all out..." Yuto commented.

"That may be true...but Masumi can do this. I believe in her." Gongenzaka said with a confident look.

"You are strong Kurosaki...but I will defeat you! My...TURN!" Masumi shouted in a determined tone as she drew.

"Masumi...can she really win this?" Yuzu questioned.

"Let's go! I activate the Spell Card, Gem-Armory! By banishing two Gem-Knight normals monsters in my graveyard such as Lazuli and Crysta, I draw three cards! Now, I activate the Equip Spell, Gem-Rebirth! I can revive a Gem-Knight Fusion monster in my graveyard and this card is equipped to it! Come back, Gem-Knight Lady Brilliant Dia!"

"From my hand, I summon Gem-Knight Sapphire!" Masumi shouted as the blue knight appeared.

"Lady Brilliant Dia's effect! I'll use Gem-Knight Sapphire to perform a Fusion Summon using a single material!" Masumi shouted as her monster swirled into the fusion vortex. "Grind Fusion! Come forth! Level 6! Gem-Knight Aquamarine!"

A caped knight appeared with shiny blue armor. The knight carried a shield with a blade attached to the end of it.

"How can that pathetic Fusion monster help you defeat me?" Shun questioned.

"I'll show you right now! BATTLE! Aquamarine, attack Raid Raptors - Ultimate!" Masumi commanded.

"What in the world?!" Melissa shouted in confusion.

"Quick Play Spell, Inherited Power! By releasing the 3400 ATK Gem-Knight Lady Brilliant Dia, Gem-Knight Aquamarine gains the released monster's ATK until the end of the turn!" Masumi exclaimed as her monster bursted into particles that were absorbed into the blue knight, causing it to gain a powerful aura.

"No way!" Yugo shouted.

"Go, Aquatic Strike!" Masumi yelled as her monster's blade gained a blue glow.

"It isn't over yet! Trap Activate! Raid Raptors - Defense Formation! All Raid Raptors monsters on my field are switched to defense mode!"

Blade Burner Falcon (4000/1000)-(4000/1000)

The knight leaped forward and sliced through the center of the falcon, causing a powerful explosion.

"Your efforts are futile! Raid Raptors - Iron Heart's effect activates! When this card leaves the field, I can special summon a Raid Raptors monster from my graveyard! Come, Raid Raptors - Revolution Falcon!"

"Then, I can attach Raid Raptors - Force Strix to it as an overlay unit!"

"Damn it...At this moment, Aquamarine's effect activates. After attacking, this card is switched to defense mode." Masumi explained as her monster's blade attached to it's shield retracted. "I end my turn. At this moment, Inherited Power's effect ends."

"I'll crush you and your fusion monster right now! My turn! BATTLE! Revolution Falcon, attack Gem-Knight Aquamarine! At this moment, Revolution Falcon's effect activates! When this card battles a special summoned monster, it's ATK and DEF are reduced to 0!" Shun shouted as his falcon released a burst of flames from it's wings. The flames burnt the samurai, weakening it considerably.

Aquamarine (1400/2600)-(0/0)

"Go, Revolution Air Raid!" Shun yelled as his monster flew up into the air. The falcon released a barrage of missiles at the knight that blew up on impact.

"If Kurosaki attacks directly with Blade Burner Falcon, Masumi will be defeated." Yuzu realized.

"Finish her off, Kurosaki!" Yugo yelled.

"This is the end! Go, Blade Burner Falcon-!"

"Not so fast! Aquamarine's effect activates! Since this card was destroyed, a monster on your field is returned to your hand! Say goodbye to Blade Burner Falcon!" Masumi smirked as the spirit of her monster appeared and fired a blue blast from it's shield. The blast knocked away Blade Burner Falcon, returning it to the Extra Deck.

"Not bad...but due to Revolution Falcon's effect, you won't be able to overpower it. I will win." Shun told his opponent.

"You're wrong! I will defeat you!" Masumi shouted with a voice full of conviction.

"Is that so? I set a card facedown, turn end." Shun said in a somewhat amused tone.

"My turn! Let's go! Gem-Fusion's effect activates in my graveyard! By banishing a Gem-Knight Sapphire, I can add this card back to my hand! Next, I activate the Spell Card, Gem-Fusion! I fuse Gem-Knight Sanyx and Gem-Knight Alexand! Scarlet gem of fire! Gem with facets of day and night! In a whirlpool of light combine to bring forth a new dazzling radiance! Fusion Summon! Come forth! Level 7! Burning knight of magma! Gem-Knight Citrine!" Masumi shouted as a knight with silver armor and a blue cape appeared. The knights fists and sword were made of bright orange and red magma.

"This is the monster that will defeat you, Kurosaki! BATTLE! Citrine, attack Raid Raptors - Revolution Falcon!" Masumi shouted as her knight leaped forward.

"Have you learned nothing? Revolution Falcon's effect will reduce your monster's ATK and DEF to 0!" Shun yelled.

"Too bad your monster won't be able to use that effect!" Masumi smirked.

"What?!" Shun shouted.

"Gem-Knight Citrine's effect activates! When this card battles...the opponent's card effects can't be activated!" Masumi explained.

"Since Revolution Falcon's effect won't be activated, Shun will take 200 damage and lose!" Yuya realized.

"...Kurosaki lost...!" Yugo uttered.

"Go, Inferno Sword!" Masumi commanded as her monster raised it's magma sword high in the air, preparing to deliver the final blow.

"Clever...but this isn't over! Trap Activate! Adversity! My monster's destruction is negated and the damage is reduced to 0! Also, my monster gains 1000 ATK!" Shun countered as his the Fusion monster's blade bounced off the falcon as it powered up.

Revolution Falcon (2000/3000)-(3000/3000)

"Damn it...she almost had him..." Gongenzaka grunted.

"I...swear I will defeat you on my next turn, Kurosaki!" Masumi declared as she pointed at the Xyz user.

"You won't survive for that long! My turn! BATTLE! Revolution Falcon, attack Gem Knight - Citrine! Revolution Air Raid!" Shun yelled as his falcon released a barrage of missiles at the knight.

"Your monster's effect won't activate due to Citrine's effect!" Masumi shouted.

"But my monster is still strong enough to destroy it! GO! REVOLUTION AIR RAID!"

MASUMI: 3100-2300 LP

"Action Spell, Wonder Chance! My monster can attack again!" Shun yelled.

"That means...!" Gongenzaka gasped.

"...Masumi will lose...!" Yuto realized.

"Go, Revolution Falcon! DIRECT ATTACK! REVOLUTION AIR RAID!" Shun shouted as his monster released another barrage of missiles.

"I...can't lose...for Yaiba and Hokuto! Gem-Shield's effect in my graveyard activates! By banishing this card and a Gem-Knight Fusion monster such as Gem-Knight Aquamarine, the attack is negated!" Masumi countered.

"...You don't give up. Interesting." Shun said with a half-smile.

"Damn right! I won't give up until I defeat you!" Masumi shouted in a determined tone.

Shun looked back at his opponent and through about everything that had happened back in Standard. He thought about all the people that he had carded back then. Though he didn't necessarily feel remorse, he knew that carding those LDS members was a horrible thing to do and it could have been avoided if he wasn't consumed by anger. Hell, he almost carded three teenagers because he was so blinded by his rage.

"Back then, my choices were guided by my drive to save my sister and nothing else. I didn't care about everything and everyone else I had to crush in order to achieve that goal. Even the people I carded at LDS." Shun said, surprising Masumi.

"Kurosaki..." Masumi uttered.

"I will always hate Fusion...but for what it's worth...I'm sorry for everything that I've done." Shun apologized in a sincere tone.

"Shun..." Yuto softly said with a smile.

"...I understand why you attacked the people of LDS. Although I can't condone you carding those people, the reason why you were in this dimension was because of Academia. They are the true reason why all of this has happened. That's why...we can't afford to hold grudges...we have to stick together in order to defeat them!" Masumi exclaimed.

Shun blinked, not expecting the girl to say what she said. He then smirked, gaining respect for his opponent's motivation.

"I see. I end my turn. Now, show me your resolve!" Shun shouted.

"Yeah. Let's go! MY TURN!" Masumi shouted as she drew. "Trap Activate! Fragment Fusion! By banishing monsters in my graveyard, I can Fusion Summon a Gem-Knight Fusion monster! But, it's destroyed at the end of the turn. I banish Gem-Knight Obsidia, Gem-Knight Sadyx, and Gem-Knight Alexand!"

"Go, Masumi!" Gongenzaka encouraged.

"Sharp jet-black darkness! Scarlet gem of fire! Gem with facets of day and night! In a whirlpool of light, combine to bring forth a new dazzling radiance! Fusion Summon! Come forth! Level 9! Supreme radiance who illuminates everything! Gem-Knight Master Dia!" Masumi shouted as her large knight with gem-like armor and a long sword appeared.

"If your monster gains Citrine's effect...that means...!" Shun said as his eyes widened.

"Revolution Falcon's effect won't activate and my monster's ATK won't be reduced to 0!" Masumi shouted with a smirk.

"Amazing!" Gongenzaka yelled.

"Not good..." Yugo said in shock.

"So that's how it is..." Shun said under his breath as he looked down.

"I set a card facedown. BATTLE! Master Dia, attack Raid Raptor - Revolution Falcon! RADIANT DIAMOND SLASH!" Masumi commanded as her monster raised it's shinning sword high in the air. The knight slashed through the center of the falcon, causing a powerful explosion in front of Shun.

"...Not bad..." Shun smirked out of respect as he was consumed by the explosion.

As the turn was forced to end, the Gem-Knight was sent to the graveyard due to Fragment Fusion's effect.

"It's over! With a spectacular final move, Masumi Kotsu managed to claim victory!" Melissa shouted as Shun drove back into the stadium.

"She did it!" Yuto smiled.

"Alright!" Gongenzaka cheered.

"Good job, Kurosaki." Yuzu smiled as Shun pulled into the pit.

"I'm sorry I couldn't do more." Shun said as he took off his helmet.

"No worries. You did great. Leave the rest to us." Yugo reassured his teammate.

"Right." Shun nodded.

"I'll go next. I will definitely win against her!" Yuzu shouted in a determined tone.

"You got this." Yugo smiled as he gave the girl a thumbs up.

"Yeah!" Yuzu nodded as she got on her D-Wheel and raced off.

"Up next for Team Wings of Victory is the girl with the cutest monsters, Yuzu Hiragi! Go, Yuzu!" Melissa cheered, showing clear favoritism.

"YUZU! YUZU! YUZU!" The crowd cheered, making the girl slightly blush. The girl then shook her head, refocusing as she caught up to her rival.

"So, we meet again on the battlefield. The score between us is one win and one loss each. I guess this was destined to happen." Masumi said as she looked back at the pink haired girl.

"I won't back down, Masumi. I will defeat you with the power of You Show Duel School!" Yuzu exclaimed as she pointed her finger at the girl.

"And I will represent LDS by winning this duel!" Masumi shouted.

Yuzu shouted as the blue and white girl in a pink flower appeared.

"Ghh..." Yuzu grunted from the shockwave.

"This is the final attack, Masumi! You're finished! GRACEFUL WAVE!" Yuzu shouted as her ace pointed to the sky, creating a powerful force of air that blasted towards Masumi.

Masumi shouted as her female knight absorbed the spirit of the red knight.

The knight's blade clashed against the barrier, causing a powerful shockwave to shake Yuzu's D-Wheel.

"YUZU!" Yuya yelled.

"I refuse to lose! Mezzo the Melodious Diva's effect in my hand activates! I discard her from my hand to negate the effect damage!" Yuzu shouted as the spirit of the yellow diva appeared and blocked the energy slash.

"What?!" Masumi gasped.

"Mezzo's effect allows me to draw a card! And if it's a level 4 or lower Melodious monster, I can summon it to the field! DRAW!" Yuzu yelled as she drew another card and looked at it. "Alright! The card I drew was Opera the Melodious Diva!"

The petite pink haired diva in a purple dress appeared next to Prodigy Mozart.

Her monster turned around and began conducting Mozart along with the spirits of the fallen monsters, causing them to release a wave of music that greatly weakened the knight.

"As expected of my rival. I didn't think you would go down so easily." Yuzu said with a smile.

"That's right! I'm going to win this duel!" Masumi exclaimed.

"We'll see. I set a card facedown, turn end." Yuzu concluded.

"This is it...my final draw! My turn...DRAW!" Masumi shouted at the top of her lungs as she drew. "Alright! I'll show you the power I've gained! With the Scale 1 Gem-Knight Spinel and the Scale 8 Gem-Knight Jade, I set the Pendulum Scale!"

Two new Gem-Knights rose up into the Pendulum Zones. The lower scale knight had pink gem-like armor and the higher scale knight had green gem-like armor.

"So those are your Pendulum cards...!" Yuzu said in awe.

"With this, I can simultaneously monster's with levels 2 through 7! Pendulum Summon! Come forth, my monster! From my hand, Gem-Knight Peri!" Masumi shouted as a light green knight appeared.

"This is my full power, Yuzu! Gem-Knight Jade's Pendulum effect activates! Once per turn, I can Fusion Summon a Gem-Knight Fusion monster by banishing monsters on my field. But if I have less life points then my opponent, I can banish monsters in my graveyard once per duel! I banish Gem-Knight Master Dia and Gem-Knight Lady Brilliant Dia!" Masumi shouted as her two ace monsters began to swirl into the fusion vortex.

"W-What?!" Yuzu stuttered.

"Supreme radiance that illuminates everything! Dazzling brilliance that shines brightly! In a whirlpool of light, combine to bring forth a new dazzling radiance! FUSIOM SUMMON! Come forth! Level 10! Radiant ruler that shines through the darkness! Gem-Knight Queen Brilliant Dia!"

Out of the shinning light, a large female knight appeared. The knight had glimmering diamond armor and carried a large diamond sword in her right hand and a large diamond shield in her left hand. The knight had a shiny crown-shaped helmet on her head and a red cape on her back.

"Incredible! Masumi has managed to bring out a mesmerizing level 10 Fusion monster! How incredible!" Melissa shouted.

"...Amazing...!" Yuzu uttered in awe.

"Queen Brilliant Dia'a effect activates! Once per turn, I can equip a Gem-Knight Fusion monster that is banished or in my graveyard! I equip Gem-Knight Lady Brilliant Dia! And due to Queen Brilliant Dia's effect, she ATK equal to half of the equipped monster's ATK!"

"Also, Queen Brilliant Dia gains Lady Brilliant Diaz's effect! My monster's new effect activates! I can now use Gem-Knight Peri to Fusion Summon using a single material!" Masumi shouted as her monster swirled into the fusion vortex. "Grind Fusion! Come forth, Level 8! Bewitching and dazzling splendor! Gem-Knight Zirconia!"

A large silver armored knight appeared with hammer-like arms that were made of large crystals.

"An attack from either monster can finish Yuzu off!" Yugo fearfully yelled.

"Here I come, Yuzu! BATTLE! Zirconia, attack Bloom Lorin the Melodious Floral Conductor!" Masumi commanded as her monster charged forward.

"Trap Activate! Musical Rewrite! When an opponent's monster attacks a Melodious monster on my field, I can release the Melodious monster to draw a card for every monster on my opponent's field! I draw two cards!" Yuzu explained as her monster bursted while she drew.

"In that case, the attack will be redirected at Prodigy Mozart the Melodious Maestra! Go, CRYSTAL HAMMER!" Masumi shouted.

"Melodious Defense's effect prevents Prodigy Mozart from being destroyed and halves the damage!" Yuzu yelled.

The knight's hammer-like fist smashed into the barrier, ensuing a powerful shockwave that violently shook Yuzu's D-Wheel.

"GAAAH!" Yuzu cried.

"Go, Queen Brilliant Dia! Attack Prodigy Mozart the Melodious Maestra! End this duel! ROYAL DIAMOND EDGE!" Masumi shouted as her monster's sword gained a colorful glow. The queen leaped up in the air and raised her glowing sword to the sky.

"This isn't the end! Melodious Defense's other effect activates! When the targeted monster is attacked while I have 1000 or less life points, I can send this card to the graveyard to reduce the damage I would take to 0!" Yuzu countered as the barrier around her monster disappeared and reappeared around her.

"But your monster can now be destroyed!" Masumi shouted as the queen swung her sword downward, slicing through the Pendulum monster.

"She survived!" Yuya cheered.

"Not bad, Masumi. But I'm not giving up!" Yuzu shouted.

"My attack isn't over yet!" Masumi shouted.

"What?!" Yuzu questioned.

"Spinel's other Pendulum effect activates! Once per turn, by releasing a special summoned Gem-Knight monster, a Gem-Knight Fusion monster can make an additional attack! I release Zirconia to allow Queen Brilliant Dia to attack again!" Masumi exclaimed as her monster bursted into particles that were absorbed into the queen. And since there was now only a single Gem-Knight Fusion monster, Queen Brilliant Dia loses 300 ATK due to Spinel's Pendulum effect.

"Another attack?!" Yugo shouted in shock.

"She has no monsters or set cards left to protect her..." Serena realized.

"She can't lose here...!" Yuya uttered.

"Wow...you really have gotten a lot stronger, Masumi. You really are my rival." Yuzu said with a smile.

"Thanks, Yuzu. Now, let's finish this! Go, Queen Brilliant Dia! DIRECT ATTACK! ROYAL DIAMOND EDGE!" Masumi roared as her monster swung downwards at Yuzu.

"YUZU!" Yuya cried.

As the queen swung downward, two arms extended outwards, blocking the sword.

"No, it can't be...how?!" Masumi's eyes widened in disbelief as she saw none other then Bloom Diva on Yuzu's field.

"Musical Rewrite's effect activated in my graveyard. By banishing this card in my graveyard when I'm attacked directly, the attack is negated. Also, I can special summon a Melodious monster from the graveyard with it's effects negated!" Yuzu shouted with a smirk.

"Amazing! Yuzu Hiragi managed to dodge Masumi Kotsu's sure-kill attack! This duel is crazy intense!" Melissa shouted as the crowd cheered.

"You survived even that...you really are something else, Yuzu. But even so, Bloom Diva won't be able to defeat me since it's effects are negated! I have won this duel!" Masumi shouted.

"I'll admit that the odds are stacked against me. But tough situations like this is when Entertainment Duelists thrive! That's the true strength of You Show Duel School's dueling!" Yuzu shouted with a smile.

"Yuzu..." Yuya uttered before smiling.

"Not giving up? I'd expect nothing less from my rival. I set a card facedown and end my turn. At this moment, Spinel's Pendulum effect ends."

"Let's go! My turn...DRAW!" Yuzu shouted as she drew. Responding to her resolve, Yuzu's cracked pink gem softly glowed while her Extra Deck also glowed pink.

"What?" Serena said as she noticed her bracelet emanating a purple glow.

"I will win this duel! From my hand, I summon Crystal Rose!" Yuzu shouted as a green and red rose made of crystal appeared.

"The monster I gave you...!" Masumi gasped.

"This card represents the strength of our rivalry. And I'll use that strength to defeat you, Masumi!" Yuzu shouted in a determined tone.

"Bring it, Yuzu!" Masumi yelled.

"As you know, Crystal Rose can be treated as any single fusion material! Now, I activate the Spell Card, Fusion! I fuse Bloom Diva and Crystal Rose who is treated as the Fusion monster, Meisterin Schubert the Melodious Maestra!" Yuzu shouted as her two monsters swirled into the fusion vortex.

"What? I thought she only had three Fusion monsters?!" Yugo questioned.

"Blooming angels that sing the song of victory! Brilliant master of music! With the guidance of the baton, gather your power! FUSION SUMMON! Now come to the stage! Level 8! Meisterin Beethoven the Melodious Maestra!" Yuzu shouted as her new monster appeared. The new Melodious monster was somewhat tall and had long and curly maroon hair. She was dressed in a long purple dress that was pink towards the bottom. She had light pink skin and sky blue eyes. She carried a golden baton in her right hand and a sheet of music in her left hand.

"I-Incredible! Yuzu Hiragi managed to bring out a mesmerizing Fusion monster!" Melissa shouted.

"A new Fusion monster...!" Yuya said in awe.

"Impressive, Yuzu. But that monster won't defeat mine!" Masumi yelled.

"We'll see about that! Meisterin Beethoven's effect activates! For every Fusion monster in my graveyard, she gains 700 ATK! I currently have Bloom Diva and Meisterin Schubert in my graveyard so she gains 1400 ATK!" Yuzu shouted as her monster sang a tune while the voices of Bloom Diva and Meisterin Schubert could be heard.

"Let's go, Masumi! BATTLE! Meisterin Beethoven, attack Gem-Knight Queen Brilliant Dia!" Yuzu commanded.

"But her monster's ATK is still weaker?!" Yugo shouted in confusion.

"What are you planning?!" Masumi questioned.

"When Meisterin Beethoven attacks a monster while I have 2 or more Fusion monsters in my graveyard, the opposing monster has it's effects negated! Meaning, your monster loses it's ATK boost!" Yuzu shouted as her monster's singing released a wave of energy that weakened the queen.

"No way!" Masumi shouted in disbelief.

"Masumi...when you defeated me in our first duel, you pushed me to become stronger and learn Fusion Summoning. I couldn't have made it this far if it wasn't for you. You are a great rival. Thank you." Yuzu said to her rival.

"Pushing each other to surpass our limits is exactly what rivals are for. After you defeated me, I strived to get stronger. And I will keep getting stronger until I defeat you! Now...come, Yuzu!" Masumi shouted.

"Go, Meisterin Beethoven! DIVINE SYMPHONY!" Yuzu shouted as her monster sang, releasing a powerful wave of purple energy.

"I still can't defeat you as I am now...but I still won't lose! Trap Activate! Brilliant Explosion! When a level 8 or higher Gem-Knight is attacked, all cards on the field are destroyed!" Masumi shouted as her card exploded, enveloping both Fusion monsters and the cards in their Pendulum Zones.

"No way..." Yuzu gasped.

"That's not all...due to Brilliant Explosion's effect, both players take damage equal to the amount of cards destroyed times 200!" Masumi shouted.

"That's 1000 damage...!" Yugo realized with a horrified look on his face.

"Oh no...YUZU!" Yuya cried.

"...So it's over..." Yuzu realized.

"I guess we'll have to have our deciding duel next time." Masumi said to the pink haired girl.

"I promise I will defeat you next time, Masumi." Yuzu said with a smile before two blasts of light struck the two girls.

"U-Unbelievable! In a shocking turn of events, Yuzu Hiragi and Masumi Kotsu's duel concluded in a draw! Both of these girls put on a fantastic duel!" Melissa shouted as the crowd clapped for the girls.

"What an amazing duel!"

"That was awesome!"

"Her dueling really does reach the crowd." Yuya smiled.

"Now there are only Yuto and Yugo left." Serena commented.

"...Yuto is facing Yugo..." Yuya said in a worried tone.

"What's wrong, kid?" Crow asked.

"Last time Yuto and Yugo dueled...things didn't go so well...they both lost control...and so did I." Yuya said with a worried tone.

Serena looked down at her crawler for a moment before putting her hand on Yuya's shoulder.

"It's going to be ok. You don't have to be afraid of losing control. Yuto and Yugo will be fine." Serena comforted the boy.

"You're right." Yuya nodded before looking at the screen.

As Masumi pulled into the pit, her two teammates ran up to her.

"Masumi, that was great! You managed to knock out both Kurosaki and Yuzu!" Gongenzaka complimented the girl as she got off her D-Wheel.

"Thanks. I'll leave the rest to you, Yuto." Masumi said as she extended her fist out.

"We believe in you." Gongenzaka said as he did the same.

"Right. I'll carry out your feelings by winning." Yuto nodded as the three did a triple fist bump.

Yuto put his helmet on and got on his D-Wheel. But before he sped off, he put his hand on his heart. He could feel his heart beating extremely fast. He knew what happened last time he dueled Yugo and couldn't help but feel nervous.

But then he remembered what he was fighting for. He was fighting to get through this tournament so he could save Ruri. He couldn't let anyone get in the way of his mission...even Yugo.

With his resolve strengthened, Yuto raced off with a determined look in his eyes.

"Yuzu, are you ok?" Yugo asked as he ran up to the pink haired girl who had just gotten off her D-Wheel.

"I'm ok. I'm sorry I couldn't do more." Yuzu apologized.

"Don't say that. You did great. Now all that's left is for me to face...Yuto." Yugo said as his expression changed.

"Yugo...you don't have to be afraid of losing control. Back then, you and Yuto were dueling to hurt each other which caused you to lose control. But things are different now. You guys have an irreplaceable bond that can't be broken. It will be ok." Yuzu told the boy.

"You may be right, but..." Yugo said as he took out his Clear Wing Synchro Dragon card. "It started when Yuto and I were using our dragons...and if I don't use Clear Wing, I won't stand a chance against Yuto..."

"Stop whining!" Shun shouted, shocking his teammates.

"Kurosaki-!" Yuzu tried to calm Shun down but the older teen grabbed Yugo by the collar.

"What the hell?!" Yugo questioned as Shun lifted him upwards.

"Listen! You are a strong duelist, but Yuto is one of the most powerful duelists in this tournament! As he is right now, he won't let anything get in his way, even you! If you go out there second guessing yourself, he will crush you in an instant! So if you really want to go out there and face him, you better give this duel everything you got! No holding back!" Shun shouted at the boy.

"Kurosaki..." Yugo uttered as he thought about his words.

"So, what will it be? Will you fight with everything you have?!" Shun questioned.

"...Yeah, I will. I'll give this duel everything I got! I won't let my dream end here!" Yugo shouted in a determined tone.

"In that case, go out there and win." Shun said as he dropped the boy.

"Thanks for the pep talk, Kurosaki." Yugo nodded as he ran over to his D-Wheel and put his helmet on.

"Go out there and win." Shun spoke.

"You can do this, Yugo." Yuzu added.

"Thanks, you guys. I will definitely win this duel! For you guys and for Rin!" Yugo determinedly shouted as he raced off.

"...I know Yuto is your friend and you care about him deeply...so why did you tell Yugo to go out there and beat him?" Yuzu asked her teammate. She knew that deep down, Shun would rather sacrifice himself for his friend.

"...Yuto is going down a dark path...a path that I've also gone down. But it's still not too late for him. He hasn't passed the point of no return. Yugo defeating him here is the best thing for him. And Yuto isn't the type to be held in the underground facility for long." Shun told the girl.

"Kurosaki...you haven't crossed the point of no return either...you know that, right?" Yuzu asked.

"..." Kurosaki didn't answer the girl and just continued to look at Yuto who had just left the stadium.

"The final members of both teams are about to begin there duel! Yuto from Team Blades of Bravery has displayed overwhelming strength in his previous duels! On the other hand, Yugo from Team Wings of Victory has proved that he can overcome impossible odds! And due to the rules of the tournament, Yuto will take the first turn but he cannot declare an attack. Let's see who will win this match deciding duel!" Melissa shouted as Yugo caught up to Yuto and raced behind him.

"Hey, Yuto! It's been awhile!" Yugo greeted his friend.

"You seem excited, Yugo." Yuto said as he looked back.

"Thanks to my team, I've been reminded to not hold back, no matter what has happened in the past!" Yugo shouted.

"You're talking about that night..." Yuto remembered.

"Things are much different now. We won't be consumed by our anger. Our bond is too strong for that! That's why...I'll fight you with all I got!" Yugo shouted in a determined look.

"Honestly, a part of me was hoping we would get a rematch. And though we are friends this time around...I won't hold back against you, Yugo. I will defeat you using all of my strength!" Yuto declared.

"I wouldn't have it any other way! Let the battle begin!" Yugo grinned.

Phantom Knights Ghoul Archer!" Yuto chanted as a warrior appeared with dark blue armor and a blue ghostly head. The monster was carrying a bow with a blue fiery arrow.

"Ghoul Archer's effect! By using an overlay unit, Ghoul Archer's effect activates! By using an overlay unit, I can revive a Phantom Knights Xyz monster in defense mode! Revive, Phantom Knights Break Sword!" Yuto yelled as his archer shot a arrow at the ground which caused a fiery portal to appear. The knight then jumped out of the portal, returning to the field.

"Also, you take damage equal to the summoned monster's level times 200!" Yuto exclaimed as a burning arrow was fired at Yugo.

Yugo slightly panicked as he drove to the side of the track, causing the burning arrow to graze his shoulder.

"Geez, you really aren't playing around." Yugo said with a nervous smirk.

"I'm just getting started. I activate the Spell Card, Rank Down Magic Phantom Knights Fall! I can rank down a DARK Xyz monster 1 or 2 ranks lower! I rank down Break Sword 1 rank lower!" Yuto shouted as his knight turned into dark energy that flew into the overlay network.

"A Rank Down?!" Yugo questioned.

"Carry on the ten thousand warriors! Cursed spear buried in the darkness! Descend now! Xyz Summon! Come forth! Rank 2! Phantom Knights Cursed Javelin!" Yuto shouted as the undead warrior carrying a javelin appeared.

"Cursed Javelin's effect activates! Once per turn, by using an overlay unit, I can target a monster on your field and it's effects are negated and it's ATK is reduced to 0!" Yuto shouted as a purple beam shot out of the knight's javelin that consumed the Synchro monster, weakening it.

"Battle! Ghoul Archer, attack High-Speedroid Puzzle! Burning Arrow!" Yuto commanded as his monster fired a burning blue arrow at the Speedroid.

"Counter Trap, Negate Attack activate! The attack is negated and the Battle Phase is forced to end!" Yugo countered.

"Turn end." Yuto concluded.

"I won't lose so easily! My turn!" Yugo shouted as he drew. "I activate the Spell Card, Shock Surprise! By banishing Speedroid Beigomax in my graveyard, Cursed Javelin is destroyed!"

A blast of shot out of the spell card and obliterated the Xyz monster.

"But your monster still has it's effects negated and 0 ATK." Yuto said in a calm tone.

"I release High-Speedroid Puzzle to Advance Summon Speedroid Passinglider!" Yugo shouted as his plane-like Pendulum monster appeared.

"Tch...Passinglider, attack Phantom Knights Ghoul Archer!" Yuto shouted as his Pendulum monster sped forward towards the archer.

"Trap Activate! Overlay Buster! Due to this card's effect, I target Ghoul Archer and it gains 500 ATK!"

"Now their ATKs are the same...meaning both will be destroyed!" Gongenzaka realized.

The Xyz and Pendulum monsters collided, causing a powerful explosion.

"You increased your life points and destroyed one of my monsters...you really are something else." Yugo nervously praised as sweat formed on his forehead.

"It's taking everything I have to evade your continuous attacks." Yuto said, complimenting his opponent.

"Heh...Turn end." Yugo concluded.

"This means only your monster will be destroyed! Go, Chanbarider!" Yugo commanded.

As the two monster's blades clashed, the Speedroid overpowered the Phantom Knight and slashed through the Xyz monster.

"It's not over! Chanbarider can attack twice per Battle Phase! Go, Chanbarider! Direct Attack!" Yugo shouted as his Synchro monster rocketed forward. "At this moment, Chanbarider gains 100 ATK!"

A large Phantom Knight with grey and blue armor with a dark blue cape appeared with a large trident in it's hands.

Yugo shouted as a mechanical dragon-like monster appeared with blue and grey armor and sharp green wings.

"Alright! Go, Yugo!" Yuzu shouted.

I'll choose to destroy all other cards on the field! Go, Raging Gale!" Yugo yelled as his monster roared, causing a powerful storm that destroyed the knight.

"Now Yuto has nothing to defend himself!" Gongenzaka worryingly shouted.

"Battle! Go, Kitedrake! Direct Attack! Typhoon Impact!" Yugo shouted as his monster fired a green cyclone blast from it's mouth.

"Phantom Knights Torn Cape's effect activates in my hand! When I'm attacked directly, I can special summon this card!" Yuto countered as a small spirit with a ripped cape appeared.

A large Phantom Knight appeared that had Spartan-like armor and carried a large saber that was covered in blue flames.

The cyclone blast obliterated the Phantom Knight, causing a powerful explosion.

"Grr...!" Yuto grunted as his D-Wheel shook.

"Yuto!" Masumi cried.

"Haha! I set a card facedown, turn end." Yugo cheerfully said with a satisfied look on his face.

"Yugo defeated Yuto's Phantom Knights Xyz monsters!" Yuzu cheered.

"Yuto still has many more moves to make." Shun commented, making the girl worried.

"My turn...draw!" Yuto shouted in a determined tone as he drew. "Alright. With this, I will win! From my hand, I summon the tuner monster, Phantom Knights Undead Specter!" Yuto shouted a small blue ghostly figure appeared with grey armor.

"His tuner monster! That means...!" Yuzu gasped as she realized which monster Yuto was going to bring out.

Revive, Phantom Knights Soul Saber!" Yuto yelled as the Xyz monster jumped out of a dark portal.

Yuto shouted as his monster turned into two green rings that flew around the Xyz monster, causing it to turn into sevens dark stars.

"Here it comes...!" Yugo muttered in a worried tone.

"Massacred souls of war consumed by darkness! Resonate into a single warrior and resurrect onto the battlefield with your blade of vengeance! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 9! Phantom Knights Vengeful Paladin!" Yuto shouted. A paladin similar to appeared with dark blue clothing under sharp black armor. The black armor had purple lining and the paladin carried a long-sword with a blue blade and a black grip. The knight had purple eyes dark blue hair.

Phantom Knights Vengeful Paladin (2700/2200) LVL:9

"It's here! Yuto has managed to bring out his extremely powerful Synchro monster! Could this be the beginning of the end for Yugo?!" Melissa questioned.

"So this is your Synchro monster...amazing..." Yugo said in awe.

"I'll use the power of our bond to defeat you! Vengeful Paladin's effect activates! When this card is Synchro Summoned, the Xyz monster used as Synchro material is equipped to this card! And during the Battle Phase, Vengeful Paladin gains the equipped monster's ATK!" Yuto explained as the spirit of Soul Saber was absorbed into his monster.

"Not good..." Yugo grunted.

"I'm going to win! BATTLE! Vengeful Paladin, attack Soul Saber and end this duel right now! At this moment, Vengeful Paladin's effect activates! It gains Phantom Knights Soul Saber's ATK!" Yuto shouted as his monster leaped forward. The paladin's long-sword gained a shinning blue glow as the monster powered up.

Vengeful Paladin (2700/2200)-(5700/2200)

"If this attack hits, Yugo will take 2700 damage...!" Yuya realized.

"Go, Phantom Blade - Darkness Punisher!" Yuto shouted. The paladin raised it's light blue blade high in the air and it extended towards the sky as a humongous energy blade. As the Paladin began to descend from midair, it swung it's blade downwards, slashing down the middle of the Kitedrake, causing a powerful explosion.

"Yugo!" Yuzu cried.

"I...won't lose! Trap Activate! Defense Draw! I reduce the damage to 0 and I draw a card!" Yugo countered as a barrier protected him from the explosion while he drew.

"Heh...you really are persistent, Yugo." Yuto said to his opponent.

"Damn right! I won't let anything stop me from accomplishing my dream!" Yugo shouted with a smirk.

"...I'm glad I get to face you again. Not as an enemy...but as a friend." Yuto said, surprising his Synchro counterpart.

"Heheh...same here, Yuto." Yugo said with a smile.

"I end my turn. Now come, Yugo!" Yuto shouted.

"Yeah! Let's go! My turn!" Yugo shouted as he drew his card. "From my hand, I summon the tuner monster, Speedroid Three-Eyed Dice!"

Speedroid Three-Eyed Dice (300/1500) LVL: 3

"I...won't be afraid! I tune the level 3 Three-Eyed Dice to the level 4 Menkoat! Spread those wonderous and beautiful wings and strike down our enemies at light speed! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 7! Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!" Yugo shouted as the white and blue dragon with a large tail and green crystals appeared in the sky and flew alongside Yugo.

Clear Wing Synchro Dragon (2500/2000) LVL:7

"H-He brought out...his dragon...!" Yuya uttered in a scared tone.

"Clear Wing..." Yuto said as he looked back at the dragon.

The Synchro Dragon let out a powerful roar, causing the two boys to feel uneasy. Yuto could feel his dragon roaring in his Extra Deck, wanting to come out.

"...We can endure it! We can't be afraid!" Yugo shouted.

"You're right...things are different now...we won't be consumed by anger!" Yuto yelled.

"That's the spirit! Lets go, Yuto! I activate the Equip Spell, Prismatic Wings! This card can be equipped to a Synchro Dragon monster!" Yugo explained as his dragon's wings shined brightly. "I'm ending this duel right now! Battle! Clear Wing Synchro Dragon, attack Phantom Knights Vengeful Paladin!"

"At this moment, Vengeful Paladin's effect activates! It gains the equipped monster's ATK-"

"Clear Wing Synchro Dragon's effect activates! When a level 5 or higher monster activates it's effect, that effect is negated and that monster is destroyed! Then, Clear Wing gains the destroyed monster's ATK!" Yugo explained.

"That won't work! Since the monster equipped to Vengeful Paladin is Rank 5 or higher, the battling monster can't activate it's effects! Meaning, Clear Wing Synchro Dragon can't negate my monster's effect!" Yuto told his opponent.

"That's what you think! Prismatic Wings' effect activates! The equipped monster is unaffected by the opponent's card effects! That means your monster can't stop Clear Wing from activating it's effects!" Yugo shouted.

"What?!" Yuto shouted in a surprising tone.

The dragon smashed through the Phantom Knight, causing a powerful explosion that shook Yuto's D-Wheel.

"What an incredible move! Yugo managed to get rid of Yuto's monster with his dragon but Yuto still managed to survive! This duel is incredible!" Melissa yelled as the crowd roared in excitement.

"I had a feeling you were going to survive that. Turn end. At this moment, Clear Wing's ATK returns to normal."

"How's that, Yuto?!" Yugo questioned his opponent.

"...Hehehe..." Yuto let out a small chuckle, surprising his opponent. "You're really pushing me far, Yugo. You really have grown as a duelist. But this duel is just getting started!"

"That's right! Lets keep this match going!" Yugo cheerfully shouted.

Meanwhile, Roget was looking at a hologram screen that was displaying the duel.

"Hmm...how unexpected." Roget commented.

"Are things not going as planned?" Kiryu said with a sly expression.

"Not exactly...it seems like these boys are resisting their destructive urges...I didn't think that was possible." Roget explained.

"I guess you have a backup plan, right?" Kiryu asked.

Roget simply smirked as he moved his hand towards a hologram meter on the side of his chair. Roget tapped the bottom of the meter with his finger, causing it to glow red.

At that moment, Yuto's eyes widened as a jolt of electricity shocked his head. The boy screamed in agony as he clutched his head and looked downward.

"What the hell...was that...?!" Yuto questioned.

"Yuto?! Are you ok?!" Yugo asked his Xyz counterpart.

"What was that?" Kiryu asked.

"My backup plan. The chip that I had placed on his helmet sends electric shocks to his brain. After plenty of past experimentation, I've discovered stimulating a certain part of the brain increases the subjects aggressiveness. This should make him show no mercy to his opponent." Roget explained with a grin.

"I see..." Kiryu muttered.

"That foolish child will regret not accepting my offer. He is now my pawn of destruction. I will use him to destroy those who oppose me! The audience will be given the most violent duel of all time!" Roget said before madly laughing. The blonde haired man continued to laugh as turned up the meter, causing the red lights to increase.

"Yuto-GRAAAH!" Yugo could only say his friend's name before being overtaking by a horrific pain in his head.

"Oh no..." Yuzu gasped as she looked down at her cracked bracelet that was giving off a pink glow. She knew something was wrong.

"GRAAAAH!" Yuya screamed as he clutched his head in pain.

"Not again! Yuya!" Serena cried as she tried to calm down Yuya while her bracelet gave off a purple glow.

"GRAAAH!" Yuri yelled as he knelt down from the pain in his head.

"Now, unleash the ancient evil power that is inside of you! Let your furious power come out and rampage freely! Show the crowd the most violent duel of all time!" Roget shouted as he pushed the meter to the highest point.

"GAAAAAAH!" The four boys screamed in unison. Clear Wing Synchro Dragon roared on Yugo's field. Odd Eyes Pendulum and Starve Venom Fusion Dragon glowed brightly in their owners decks. And Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon roared in Yuto's Extra Deck, wanting to take the field.

Yuri, Yugo, Yuto, and Yuya looked upwards in unison with glowing purple, turquoise, blue, and red eyes respectively.

"THE DARKNESS WILL SPREAD!" Yuya shouted.

"EVERYTHING WILL BE ERADICATED!" Yuri yelled.

"I WILL REIGN SUPREME!" Yugo declared.

"WE WILL BECOME WIN!" Yuto roared.

"What is this?" Roget questioned as he looked at the screen. "It appears that the chip proved to cause an even bigger reaction then expected. How interesting."

"But why is it affecting his opponent? Did you have a chip installed in his helmet as well?" Kiryu asked.

"No...I didn't..." Roget answered before grinning. "This is perfect! With those two unleashing their violent power, the crowd won't be able to look away!"

"But what about the winner? With these two dueling like this, either one of them could win." Kiryu pointed out.

"Those two will destroy each other throughout this duel! Now, go! Show off your raging power!" Roget shouted.

"My...TURN!" Yuto violently shouted as he drew. The boy gritted his teeth as he heard his dragon roaring from his Extra Deck. "I'll bring you out right now! The berserk Xyz user violently drew once more before glaring at his opponent with his glowing blue eyes.

"From my hand, I summon Phantom Knights Fragile Armor!" Yuto shouted as a blue spirit in dark blue armor appeared.

As the Xyz Dragon took the field, the two dragons roared in unison, causing both boy's eyes to glow even brighter.

"I WILL DESTROY YOU WITH THIS! I activate the Equip Spell, Xyz Unit! By equipping it to Dark Rebellion, my dragon gains ATK equal to it's rank times 200! Meaning, my dragon gains 800 ATK!" Yuto shouted as his dragon roared while powering up.

"Not so fast! Speedroid Three-Eyed Dice's effect in the graveyard activates! By banishing this card, the attack is negated!" Yugo countered as a triangular barrier blocked the dragon's fang.

"Wow! The friendly atmosphere of this duel has completely changed! Although this duel has been intense so far, I have a feeling this duel is just getting started!" Melissa shouted.

"MY TURN! I activate the Spell Card, Pot of Greed! I draw two cards!" Yugo aggressively shouted while drawing his cards. "From my hand, I summon Speedroid Shave Boomerang!"

A small green machine soldier carrying a bazooka appeared on Yugo's field next to his dragon.

"Blitz Bazooka's effect activates! Once per turn, I can target a WIND monster on my field and it can attack twice this turn! At this moment, Clear Wing's effect activates! When a level 5 or higher monster is targeted by a monster's effect, that effect is negated and that monster is destroyed! Also, Clear Wing gains the destroyed monster's ATK! Dichroic Mirror!" Yugo shouted as light shot out of his dragon's wings and destroyed the Speedroid. The dragon's eyes then glowed brightly as it powered up.

"It overpowers Dark Rebellion!" Gongenzaka shouted.

"PREPARE TO BE DESTROYED! BATTLE! Clear Wing Synchro Dragon, attack Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon!Whirlwind Helldive Slasher!" Yugo shouted as his dragon flew up in the air while surrounding itself with green energy before flying down at the Xyz Dragon.

"Trap Activate! Phantom Knights Wing! My monster's destruction is negated!" Yuto countered as the Synchro Dragon rammed into his ace, causing a powerful shockwave that shook his D-Wheel.

"I set a card facedown, turn end!" Yugo concluded in an angered tone. "At this moment, Clear Wing's effect ends."

"My turn! Battle! Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon, attack Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!" Yuto shouted as his dragon flew forward with it's glowing fang. Yuto then spotted an Action Card and aggressively swiped it off the track. "Action Spell, High Dive! Dark Rebellion gains 1000 ATK!"

"That's enough to win the duel!" Yuzu gasped with a worried look.

"End this duel! Revolt of Lightning Disobey!" Yuto yelled as his dragon flew forward with it's glowing fang.

"You won't win so easily! Continuous Trap, Burning Sonic! The attack is negated and my monster gains 500 ATK as long as this card is on the field!" Yugo countered as an orange barrier blocked the attack.

"You won't be so lucky next time! I set a card facedown, turn end!" Yuto ferociously shouted.

Dark Rebellion (4800/2000)-(3800/2000)

"My turn, draw! I activate the Spell Card, Synchro Suppliment! I target Clear Wing and gain life points equal to Clear Wing's level times 100! Also, I can draw a card for every 200 life points I gain! I gain 700 life points and draw three cards!" Yugo shouted as he drew once more.

"Quick Play Spell, Cyclone activate! Xyz Unit is destroyed! And without it, Dark Rebellion loses 800 ATK!"

"Now they both have the same ATK!" Masumi commented.

"BATTLE! Clear Wing Synchro Dragon, attack Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon! Whirlwind Helldive Slasher!" Yugo commanded as his dragon surrounded itself with green energy as it flew through the air.

"Counterattack! Revolt of Lightning Disobey!" Yuto yelled as his dragon flew forward with it's glowing fang.

The two dragon's clashed head on with their signature attacks, causing the crowd to cheer in excitement.

"Your dragon will be the only monster destroyed! By sending the Equip Spell, Prismatic Wing to the graveyard when Clear Wing would be destroyed by battle, it's destruction is negated! Destroy him, Clear Wing!" Yugo commanded as his dragon began to push the opposing dragon back.

"I won't let you! Continuous Trap, Phantom Knights Sword! I target Dark Rebellion and it gains 800 ATK!"

"Grr...Clear Wing still won't be destroyed!" Yugo shouted.

"But you still take the damage!"

The dark dragon powered forward and struck the white dragon with it's fang, causing a powerful shockwave that shook Yugo's D-Wheel.

"You bastard...I set a card facedown, turn end!" Yugo concluded.

"My turn! BATTLE! Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon, attack Clear Wing Synchro Dragon! Revolt of Lightning Disobey!" Yuto roared as his dragon flew forward with it's glowing fang.

"...I'm not done yet! Trap Activate! Assault Mode Activate! This card lets me release Clear Wing in order to summon a new monster from my deck!" Yugo shouted as his dragon was covered in turquoise light.

"What?!" Yuto shouted.

"Sharpen your bright and wonderous wings and evolve beyond your limits through the shinning light! Come forth! Level 9! Clear Wing Synchro Dragon/Assault Mode!"

As the light dispersed, Clear Wing now had blue and golden armor along with sharper and brighter green wings.

"Grr...The attack still continues!" Yuto shouted.

"Since my monster is in defense mode, I take no damage! Also, due to Assault Mode Activate's effect, Clear Wing can't be destroyed this turn!" Yugo countered.

"My turn! I switch my dragon to ATK mode!"

"Prepare to be eradicated! BATTLE! Clear Wing Synchro Dragon/Assault Mode, attack Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon!" Yugo commanded as his dragon's wings shined.

"My dragon is stronger!" Yuto yelled.

At this moment, Clear Wings' effect activates! Once per turn, when this card attacks an opponent's monster that was special summoned, it has it's effects negated and is destroyed! Go, Dichroic Blitz!" Yugo shouted as his dragon flew through the air while surrounded by a colorful aura.

"Tch...Phantom Knights Sword's effect activates! By sending the card to the graveyard, Dark Rebellion's destruction is negated!" Yuto countered as the Synchro Dragon rammed into his ace. The dark dragon endured the attack, but was weakened due to losing the continuous trap.

"My dragon can attack in a row due to it's effect! Go, Clear Wing! Attack that pathetic dragon once more!Whirlwind Assault Slasher!" Yugo shouted as his dragon was covered in a colorful light. The dragon then zoomed through the air towards the dark dragon.

"Counterattack! Revolt of Lightning Disobey!" Yuto shouted. As the two dragons clashed, a powerful explosion occurred that enveloped the entire field.

"Grr...these weak attacks won't be enough to defeat me!" Yuto growled.

"Are you sure about that?" Yugo smirked. As the smoke cleared, Clear Wing Synchro Dragon was revealed on Yugo's field.

"Since Clear Wing Synchro Dragon/Assault Mode was destroyed, it's original form returned to the field!" Yugo sternly spoke.

"You bastard...!" Yuto grunted.

"I'll end you with this! YOU'RE FINISHED! Go, Clear Wing Synchro Dragon! Direct Attack! Whirlwind Helldive Slasher!" Yugo commanded as his ace flew forward.

"I can't lose...I WILL DEFEAT YOU! Trap Activate! Xyz Reborn! I can revive an Xyz monster in my graveyard and this card is attached to it as an overlay unit!Revive, Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon!" Yuto shouted as his dragon returned.

"I'll rip you apart on my next turn! I set two cards facedown, turn end!" Yugo ferociously concluded.

"My...TURN! I activate the Spell Card, Treasure Cards from the Heavens! Now both of us draw until we have 6 cards in our hands!" Yuto angrily shouted as he placed his hand on top of his deck while Yugo did the same.

"DRAW!" Both teens shouted as they each drew 6 cards.

"Now both of them have brand new hands." Masumi commented.

"Yuto...Yugo..." Gongenzaka uttered as he looked at the two enraged duelists.

"Giving me this brand new hand will be your downfall!" Yugo shouted.

"We'll see about that! By banishing Phantom Knights Fragile Armor, I activate it's effect! I can discard a Phantom Knight card to draw a card!" Yuto explained as he discarded Phantom Knights Shattered Shield. "Next, with the Scale 1 Phantom Knights Abyss Guardian, and the Scale 5 Phantom Knights Unholy Sorcerer, I set the Pendulum Scale!"

A tall ghostly warrior carrying a large shield and a blue spirit cloaked in black carrying a wooden staff appeared in the blue columns.

Abyss Guardian 1 - 5 Unholy Sorcerer

"Pendulum Summoning more monsters won't save you!" Yugo angrily shouted.

"That's not what I'm aiming for! Unholy Sorcerer's Pendulum effect activates! When this card is placed in the Pendulum Zone while I have less life points then my opponent, I can target a card on the field and it's effects are negated! I target Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!" Yuto shouted as the monster fired a beam from the tip of it's staff. The beam hit the center of the Synchro Dragon, causing it to cry out in pain.

"Getting rid of my dragon's effect so you can use Dark Rebellion's effect? In that case, Trap Activate! Speed Hole! This card allows me to revive a level 4 or lower Speedroid monster in the graveyard! Revive, Speedroid Sling Shooter!" Yugo shouted as the tuner jumped out of a portal.

"Sling Shooter's effect! When special summoned, I can draw a card for every Speedroid on my field! I draw 1 card! Continuous Trap, Speedroid Shuriken Hurricane! This card remains on the field as long as I control a Speedroid monster! Now, come at me if you dare!" Yugo grinned.

"You think you can scare me? THINK AGAIN! Dark Rebellion's effect activates! By using an overlay unit, I can target a level 5 or higher monster on your field and it's ATK is halved! Then, Dark Rebellion gains the lost amount! Do it, Treason Discharge!" Yuto roared as his dragon's mechanized wings opened up. Purple electricity shot out of the dragon's wings and wrapped around Clear Wing, causing it to weaken.

"What?!" Yuto shouted.

"Be defeated by your own monster's strength! DIE!" Yugo screamed as multiple shurikens flew out of the card towards Yuto.

"Phantom Knights Shattered Shield's effect activates in my graveyard! By banishing this card, any effect damage I would take this turn is reduced to 0!" Yuto quickly countered as the monster blocked the shurikens before disappearing.

"That card you discard at the beginning of the turn...damn you!" Yugo yelled.

"BATTLE! Dark Rebellion, attack Clear Wing Synchro Dragon! END THIS DUEL! REVOLT OF LIGHTNING DISOBEY!" Yuto shouted as his dragon flew forward with it's glowing fang.

"Prismatic Wings' effect in my graveyard activates! By banishing this card when a Synchro Dragon is attacked, the damage is reduced to 0!" Yugo countered.

"But your monster is still destroyed!" Yuto yelled as the dark dragon ripped through the white dragon with it's fang, destroying it.

"You bastard...YOU'LL PAY FOR THAT!" Yugo growled.

"Turn end. Now hurry up and make your last pathetic move before I end this duel!" Yuto sternly shouted.

Dark Rebellion (3750/2000)-(2500/2000)

"At this moment, Speedroid Shuriken Hurricane's effect activates! Since your monster's ATK changed, you take damage equal to that amount! That's 1250 damage!" Yugo shouted as a multiple shurikens flew towards Yuto. The boy managed to maneuver his D-Wheel, causing the shurikens to graze his shoulder.

YUTO: 1600-350 LP

"Grr..." Yuto grunted.

"...This is horrible...they are hurting each other..." Yuzu said with a sad look.

"I'll make you grovel before me! MY TURN!" Yugo shouted as he powerfully drew. "Let's go! With the Scale 2 Speedroid Security Shielder and the Scale 8 Speedroid Domino Butterfly, I set the Pendulum Scale!"

Along with Domino Butterfly, a new Pendulum monster appeared in the blue column. The monster was a small silver mech that was holding a large green shield.

"With this, I can simultaneously summon monsters with levels 3 through 7! Swing Pendulum of speed! Draw an arc across the wind and soar through the field! Pendulum Summon! Race onto the field, my monster! From my Extra Deck, Speedroid Passingler!" Yugo shouted as the plane returned to the field.

Speedroid Passinglider (2200/2000) LVL: 5

"Now, I tune my level 2 Sling Shooter to my level 5 Passinglider! White dragon with shinning wings! Smash through our enemies and soar through the battle field at the speed of light! Synchro Summon! Come Forth! Level 7! Clear Wing Fast Dragon!" Yugo shouted as the white and green armored hybrid dragon with sharp blue crystal wings appeared.

"And since I don't control any Speedroid monsters, Speedroid Shuriken Hurricane is destroyed." Yugo explained as the trap bursted. "I'll end you with this! Fast Dragon's effect activates! Once per either player's turn, I can target a monster on your field and it's effects are negated! Also, it's ATK becomes 0! Go, Distortion Mirror!"

The hybrid dragon released blue light from it's wings that consumed Dark Rebellion.

"Damn you!" Yuto grunted.

"THIS IS THE END! BATTLE! Clear Wing Fast Dragon, attack Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon! Rapid Sky Drop Charge!" Yugo shouted as his dragon flew up into the air while surrounded by blue energy. The dragon spun through the air as it then flew downwards at the Xyz Dragon.

"Not a chance! Phantom Knights Abyss Guardian's Pendulum effect activates! While I control one DARK Xyz monster that is attacked by an opponents monster, I can summon this card from the Pendulum Zone and the attack is negated!" Yuto shouted as theshield carrying warrior jumped out of the blue column and blocked the dragon's attack.

"Grr...you won't be able to survive for much longer! I set two cards facedown, turn end!" Yugo angrily concluded.

"My turn! I activate the Spell Card, Phantom Knights Possession! This lets me treat Dark Rebellion as the same level as Abyss Guardian!"

"Now, I overlay my level 7 Abyss Guardian and Dark Rebellion! Fang of Rebellion, descend from the purified darkness and destroy those who oppose your order! Xyz Summon! Come forth! Rank 7! Dark Anthelion Dragon!" Yuto shouted as the large purple and black hybrid dragon with silver and turquoise armor appeared.

Dark Anthelion Dragon (3000/2500) RNK: 7 OVU: 2

"BATTLE! Dark Anthelion Dragon, attack Clear Wing Fast Dragon! At this moment, I activate Dark Anthelion's effect! Once per either player's turn, by using an overlay unit, I can target a monster on your field and it loses half of it's ATK while Dark Anthelion gains that same amount and I gain life points equal to that same amount! I target Clear Wing Fast Dragon!" Yuto shouted.

"Clear Wing Fast Dragon's effect! I target Dark Anthelion and it's effects are negated! Also, it's ATK is reduced to 0!"

"Due to Dark Anthelion's effect, you can't negate this effect! Meaning, your dragon's effect is useless! Absorb Eclipse!" Yuto shouted. The dragon shot a burst of purple energy from it's wings that enveloped the Synchro monster while Yuto was covered in a green aura.

"This isn't the end! Trap Activate! Synchro Barrier! By releasing a Synchro monster on my field, I don't take any damage! I release Clear Wing Fast Dragon!" Yugo countered as his dragon bursted into particles, causing the attack to miss it's target.

"Tch...I set two cards facedown, turn end!" Yuto concluded.

"You should give up now. The winner of this duel has already been decided!" Yuto shouted.

"I won't stop...until I destroy you in this duel! MY TURN! With the set scale, Pendulum Summon! Come forth, my monsters! From my Extra Deck, Speedroid Passinglider! Clear Wing Fast Dragon!" Yugo shouted as two lights shot out of the portal in the sky.

But, that monster cannot attack until the end of the turn! I release the level 5 Speedroid Passinglider to special summon the level 5 High-Speedroid Chanbarider!" Yugo shouted as the pendulum monster bursted into particles that reforms into the synchro monster.

High-Speedroid Chanbarider (2000/1000) LVL:5

"How can a monster that can't attack help you?" Yuto questioned.

"You're about to find out! I activate the Spell Card, Fusion!" Yugo shouted as he violently slammed the spell card onto his duel disk.

"Fusion?!" Yuto angrily yelled.

"I fuse Clear Wing Fast Dragon and High-Speedroid Chanbarider! White dragon with shinning wings! Sword wielding machine! Merge together and bring forth the ultimate combination of machines and dragons! FUSION SUMMON! Come forth! Level 8! Clear Wing Machine Dragon!" Yugo shoutedas the grey mechanized dragon with green and blue crystals on it's body appeared.

"Machine Dragon's effect activates! It gains half of the ATK of it's High-Speedroid Fusion material!" Yugo explained as the crystals on his dragon shined.

"This is more then enough to annihilate you! Are you ready to meet your end?!" Yugo shouted with an evil grin.

"Grr..." Yugo gritted his teethin anger.

"BATTLE! MECHANIZED AERIAL ASSAULT!" Yugo shouted as his dragon dragon flew through the air. The dragon extended it's sharp wings before spiraling downwards while surrounded by blue and green energy.

"I won't lose! Trap Activate! Defense Draw! The damage is reduced to 0 and I draw a card!" Yuto drew as the fusion dragon smashed through the hybrid dragon, causing a powerful explosion.

"DAMN IT!" Yugo ragingly shouted as he slammed his fist on his D-Wheel."...I set two cards facedown, turn end!"

"I'm going to end you right now! MY TURN!" Yuto violently shouted as he drew. "With the Scale 2 Phantom Knights Rusted Axe, I reset the Pendulum Scale!"

"Unholy Sorcerer's Pendulum effect activates! Once per turn, I can special summon a DARK Xyz monster from my graveyard whose rank is in between the set Pendulum scale! But, that monster cannot attack and is destroyed during the end of the turn! Revive, Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon!"

Yuto shouted as his dragon turned into dark energy that flew back into the overlay network. "From the depth of purgatory, sing the song of rebellion dedicated to the restless souls! Let it echo for all eternity and appear! RANK UP XYZ CHANGE! Come forth! Rank 5! Dark Requiem Xyz Dragon!"

The evolved form of his ace which was a purple dragon with black and grey armor and stained glass-like wings appeared.

"Dark Requiem Xyz Dragon's Effect activates! By using one overlay unit, I can target a monster on your field and that monster's ATK becomes 0. Yuto shouted as the dragon shot dark energy from the orbs on its wings at the fusion monster. The dark energy wrapped around the mechanized dragon, draining all of it's energy.

"I won't lose to you! Trap Activate! Guardraw! My dragon is switched to defense mode and I draw a card!" Yugo shouted as he drew.

The Xyz dragon ripped through the center of the mechanized dragon, causing a strong explosion.

"I'll make you pay! Trap Activate! Extra Shave Reborn! When a monster summoned from the Extra Deck is destroyed, I can revive a monster in my graveyard that was summoned from the Extra Deck whose level is lower! Clear Wing Machine Dragon was level 8! Therefore, I revive the level 7 Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!"

As the Synchro Dragon appeared, the two dragons roared in unison, causing both boys to groan in pain.

"Grr...destroy...destroy...we will destroy everything!" Yugo growled.

"This world will be destroyed...and we will become one!" Yuto roared as their eyes glowed brighter.

"This is horrible..." Yuzu uttered as she watched the two scream at each other.

"I set a card facedown, turn end!" Yuto concluded.

"This ends now! Prepare yourself! My...TURN!" Yugo shouted as he violently drew. "This is it! Continuous Trap, Angel Lift! This card revives a level 2 or lower monster in my graveyard! Return, the tuner monster, Speedroid Red-Eyed Dice!"

"Now I tune my level 1 Red-Eyed Dice to my level 7 Clear Wing Synchro Dragon! Spread those wings shining with scared light! Strike down your enemies with that radiance! SYNCHRO SUMMON! Come forth! Level 8! Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon!" Yugo shouted as his evolved ace appeared which was a blue dragon with shinning crystals armor.

The two evolved aces roared, causing Yugo and Yuto's eyes to glow even brighter.

"I activate the Equip Spell, Supreme King Winds! By equipping this card to a Synchro Dragon on my field, all monsters on the opponents field without level are treated as level 5!" Yugo shouted as his dragon gained a wicked green aura. The Synchro Dragon roared as a gust of wind hit the Xyz Dragon.

"That card...!" Yuto grunted, remembering it from their first duel.

"BATTLE! Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon, attack Dark Requiem Xyz Dragon and end this duel! At this moment, Crystal Wing's effect activates! When this card battles a level 5 or higher monster, it gains ATK equal to the opposing monster's ATK!"

"END THIS RIGHT NOW! KRYSTALLOS GALE EDGE!" Yugo shouted as his dragon soared through the air at high speeds. The dragon flew upwards, leaving a path of light behind before charging directly at the opposing dragon.

"Trap Activate! Half Unbreak! Dark Requiem isn't destroyed and the damage is halved!" Yuto countered as a bubble-like barrier surrounded the Xyz Dragon. The Synchro Dragon smashed into the barrier, causing a powerful shockwave that shook Yuto's D-Wheel.

YUTO: 2850-1350 LP

"You couldn't finish me off! YOU FAILED!" Yuto violently yelled.

"You won't be so luck next time...Turn end!" Yugo shouted in a pissed off tone.

"MY TURN! I activate the Spell Card, Supreme King's Draw! I draw a card for every dragon-type monster on the field plus one! I draw three cards! Unholy Sorcerer's Pendulum effect activates! Once per turn, I can special summon a DARK Xyz monster from my graveyard whose rank is in between the set Pendulum scale! But, that monster cannot attack and is destroyed during the end of the turn! Revive, Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon!"

Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon (2500/2000) RNK: 4

"I activate the Spell Card, Xyz Gift! Since I control two or more Xyz monsters, I can draw two cards! Now...prepare to be incinerated by my unyielding rage! I activate the Ritual Spell, Ritual of Apocalypse!"

A circle of flames appeared in front of Yuto with two alters on opposites. The right alter had a gold flame while the left alter had a purple flame.

"Now I can ritual summon releasing monsters on my field whose levels are equal or higher! But if I have an Xyz Dragon on my field, I can treat monsters with ranks as having level equal to their ranks! I release Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon which is treated as level 4 and Dark Requiem Xyz Dragon which is treated as level 5!" Yuto shouted as his dragons appeared in the circles of flames. The monsters split into balls of fires that flew around the circle.

"He sacrificed both of his dragons?!" Masumi gasped.

"Dragon born from the raging flames of war! Resurrect with a burning vengeance and destroy everything with your apocalyptic power! RITUAL SUMMON! Come forth! Level 8! DARK REBELLION APOCALYPSE DRAGON!" Yuto shouted as the large Ritual dragon appeared. The dragon had black armor with golden orbs and purple energy coursing through it. The dragon roared as it bursted out of the flames.

Dark Rebellion Apocalypse Dragon (3000/2500) LVL:8

"That dragon..." Yuzu gasped with a terrified look on her face.

"Yuto has brought out his menacing Ritual dragon! Is this truly the end for Yugo?!" Melissa questioned.

"Dark Rebellion Apocalype Dragon's effect! When this card is ritual summoned, all monsters on your field have their ATKs halved and their effects are negated! Then, this card gets 400 ATK for each card affected! POWER ANNIHILATION!" The Dragon shot a powerful golden blast from the center of it's body.

"That won't work! Crystal Wing's effect activates! Once per either player's turn,when amonster activates an effect, the effect is negated and that monster is destroyed! Then, Crystal Wing gains ATK equal to the destroyed monster's ATK!" Yugo countered with a sinister smirk.

"Quick Play Spell, Supreme King Drive! When the opponent activates a card effect in response to the effect a dragon-type monster on my field, that effect is negated! Also, my dragon-type monster gains 1000 ATK!"

Apocalypse Dragon (3000/2500)-(4000/2500)

"DAMN YOU!" Yugo ferociously snapped.

"Dark Rebellion Apocalypse Dragon's effect now continues! POWER ANNIHILATION!" Yuto yelled as golden energy shot out of the dragon's chest and paralyzed the Synchro Dragon.

Crystal Wing (3000/2500)-(1500/2500)

Apocalypse Dragon (4000/2500)-(4400/2500)

"...You bastard...you won't get away with this!" Yugoangrily yelled.

"If Yuto attacks, Yugo will take 2900 damage!" Masumi realized.

"Yugo doesn't have any set cards either. And with Crystal Wings' effects negated, Yugo can't do anything else. Yuto has won." Gongenzaka said.

"No...this can't be the end for him..." Yuzu said in disbelief.

"Are you ready...to be sent to hell?!" Yuto questioned in a sinister tone.

"Screw you!" Yugo growled.

"BATTLE! Dark Rebellion Apocalypse Dragon, attack Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon! BLAZING ARMAGEDDON IMPACT!" Yuto roared as his dragon flew high in the sky. The dragon opened it's mouth and fired a gold and purple spiral of fire. The blast obliterated the dragon and headed directly for Yugo.

"H-He's going for the kill!" Masumi yelled with a horrified look.

"That can't be! He wouldn't!" Gongenzaka shook his head in disbelief.

"YUTO! STOP THIS!" Shun shouted.

"END HIM!" Yuto violently screamed.

"YUGO!" Yuzu cried out.

"I can't lose here...I REFUSE! Security Shielder's Pendulum Effect! Once per turn, when I would take battle damage, I can send a Speedroid Pendulum monster from my face up Extra Deck to the graveyardand the damageis halved!I send Speedroid Marble Machine to the graveyard!" Yugo yelled as a green semi-transparent barrier appeared.

Although the barrier managed to stop the blast. But, some flames managed to bypass the barrier and burned Yugo.

"GRAAAAAH!"

YUGO: 2100-650 LP

"He survived...!" Yuzu said in relief.

"But in his current condition, he won't last that much longer." Shun pointed out.

"Yugo...please hang in there..." Yuzu prayed for her friend.

"You...won't get...away...with that...!" Yugo weakly declared.

"You won't last much longer. I will make you a corpse soon enough! I set a card facedown and end my turn." Yuto coldly said.

"I can't let it end like this...I will...ERASE YOU FROM THIS WORLD!" Yugo angrily shouted as he regained his resolve. "My...TURN! I activate the Spell Card, Roll of Fate! By rolling a dice, I can draw cards equal to the number I roll! GO!"

A dice shot out of the card and spun through the air before landing on the number five.

"Now, I draw five cards! And due to the effect of Roll of Fate, I must also send five cards from the top of my deck to the graveyard. I activate the Spell Card, Step On Shadow! I can target a monster on my opponent's field and then I can special summon a monster from my graveyard whose level is less than the targeted monster's level! The summoned monster must have been previously summoned from the Extra Deck and it is summoned to the field with it's effects negated! I target your level 8 Dark Rebellion Apocalypse Dragon to special summon my level 7 Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!"

Clear Wing Synchro Dragon (2500/2000) LVL: 7

"It's not over! I activate the Ritual Spell, Ritual of the Storm!" Yugo shouted as an altar appeared which was two green statues that looked similar to Clear Wing's head. The altar also had a large cyclone of green wind circling it.

"By releasing WIND monsters on my field whose total levels are 7 or higher, I can Ritual Summon this monster! I release the level 7 Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!" Yugo yelled as the Synchro Dragon flew into the cyclone of wind and let out a roar as it turned into 7 stars of light that spun around in the cyclone.

"Dragon born from the storm! Gain the power of the raging winds and fly through the field like a hurricane! RITUAL SUMMON! Come forth! Level 7! CLEAR WING STORM DRAGON!" Yugo roared as the green armored dragon with turquoise colored armor plates appeared. The dragon had shark blue prismatic wings and flew beside Yugo, leaving a trail of green wind in the air.

Clear Wing Storm Dragon (2800/2500) LVL: 7

"Awesome! With this, both duelists have their ritual monsters out on the field! This is now the battle of the ritual dragons!" Melissa cheerfully yelled.

"Clear Wing Storm Dragon's effect activates! When this card is Ritual Summoned using a Synchro monster, I can negate the effects of all monsters on my opponent's field! Meaning, your dragon loses the 400 ATK it gained through it's effect! Go, DICHROIC STORM!" Yugo shouted. His dragon's turquoise eyes glowed as it let out a powerful roar. The dragon's wings glowed at it flew towards the opposing dragon and began circling it. This caused it to be consumed by a tornado of shinning wind-like energy.

Apocalypse Dragon (4400/2500)-(4000/2500)

"Your dragon is still nothing compared to my dragon!" Yuto growled.

"Is that so? BATTLE! Clear Wing Storm Dragon, attack Dark Rebellion Apocalypse Dragon! At this moment, Clear Wing Storm Dragon's effect activates! When this monster attacks a special summoned monster, it gains ATK equal to the opposing monster's level times 300! Since your dragon is level 8...IT GAINS 2400 ATK!" Yugo shouted as his dragon's wings shined brightly.

Storm Dragon (2800/2500)-(5200/2500)

"Go, STORMING CYCLONE STRIKE!" Yugo roared as his dragon that was surrounded by a turquoise aura flew high in the air. The dragon began speeding downwards in a spinning motion and as the dragon spun, a cyclone of wind surrounded it.

Despite the circumstances, Yuto's dragon wasn't backing down. The dragon roared as it gained a fiery purple and golden aura before flying forward.

The two dragons clashed, causing a mix of purple, gold, and turquoise lights to fill the sky. The clash also caused a powerful shockwave that shook the highway and the entire city.

"What an epic battle...!" Melissa said, surprisingly at a lost for words.

"Sir! The solid vision is somehow being amplified, causing real damage!" A scientist told Roget.

"That can't be possible! Our systems haven't been tampered with!" Another scientist shouted.

"Interesting...these boys just bring more and more surprises..." Roget said, not at all worried about the safety of the city.

"DESTROY HIM!" Yugo shouted as his dragon pushed the opposing dragon towards Yuto.

"...YOU JUST SEALED YOUR FATE! Quick Play Spell, Phantom Knights Around Burn! When an opponent's monster attacks, by banishing Phantom Knights Wing and Phantom Knights Sword in my graveyard, all monsters on the field are destroyed and the Battle Phase is forced to end! Then, we both take 800 damage for each of our destroyed monsters!" Yuto shouted with a sinister look on his face.

"If both of them take 800 damage...Yuto will survive...but Yugo will be defeated..." Shun realized with with a worried look on his face.

"YUGO!" Yuzu screamed as tears filled her eyes.

"EVERYTHING WILL BE INCINERATED! NOW DIE!" Yuto shouted as his eyes glowed. The two dragons exploded, causing a powerful wave of flames to consume the field.

"No...I can't-GRAAAAAAH!" Yugo cried out as the two boys were consumed by the flames.

"How the hell did you-?!"

"I activated the Trap Card, Damage Diet in my graveyard which was sent there due to Roll of Fate's effect. By banishing it, an instance of effect damage is halved." Yugo explained before wincing in pain.

"Tch...Dark Rebellion Apocalypse Dragon's effect activates! When destroyed, I can special summon Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon from the graveyard!" Yuto exclaimed as his ace dragon returned.

"Clear Wing Storm Dragon's effect also activates! When destroyed, I can special summon Clear Wing Synchro Dragon from the graveyard!" Yugo shouted as his own ace dragon revived.

As the two dragons appeared, they both roared, causing the boys' eyes to glow even brighter.

"Grr...We will become one soon enough! End your turn!" Yuto demanded.

"Ghh...I set three cards facedown, turn end!" Yugo finished.

"This is quite a duel. Don't you think, King?" White Taki asked the blonde haired man.

"...I refuse to watch this duel anymore." Jack said as he got out of his chair.

"What's the matter, Jack Atlas? This is one of the best duels we've seen in years." Gael spoke.

"These boys are throwing their dueling away by being consumed by their rage. If that's the case, they aren't true duelists and they don't deserve to face me." Jack said as he reached the door.

"Wait just a moment, King." Reiji spoke up, causing the man to turn around.

"What is it?" Jack said in a somewhat annoyed tone.

"I think their might be a way to save these two boys before they lose themselves for good. And in order to do so, your assistance is required." Reiji told the king.

"And why should I help?" Jack questioned.

"What is happening isn't there fault. In fact, I have reason to believe foul play is involved." Reiji said, surprising the blonde haired man.

"Foul play? How is that possible?" Jack asked.

"Look here." Reiji said as he tapped a button on his duel disk. A holographic screen appeared that showcased Yuto and Yugo driving on the highway.

"Did you hack into our cameras?!" Bordeaux questioned.

"That hardly matters at this time. There is apparently a much bigger issue." Gray told his fellow council member.

"That's right. Please continue, Reiji Akaba." White Taki told the older teen.

"Thank you, Chairman." Reiji said before tapping his duel disk once more. The screen zoomed onto Yuto's helmet which revealed a very small chip. The council gasped as they witnessed the chip shocking the boy, causing him to cry out in pain.

"How horrible..." Azul said.

"These boys have a supernatural connection that we don't know much about. That chip is causing Yuto to lose himself which is also affecting Yugo. If we can get through to Yugo and snap him out of his trance, he will be able to save Yuto. I promise you." Reiji explained.

"Please help...Mr. Atlas..." Reira pleaded.

"...How can we get through to him?" Jack asked.

"Give me a moment..." Reiji said as he began tapping on his duel disk once more.

"MY TURN!" Yuto angrily shouted as he drew. "I activate the Spell Card, Card of Demise! I draw five cards! But due to this card's effect, I must discard my entire hand in five of my turns."

"I got you! Trap Activate! Insightful Cards of Reversal! When my opponent add cards to their hand outside the Draw Phase, I can draw a card for every card in your hand! I draw five cards!" Yugo shouted as he also drew.

"You won't get a chance to use those cards...because I'm ending this duel right now! With the Scale 4 Phantom Knights Necro Mage, I set the Pendulum Scale!" Yuto shouted as a dark blue spirit in a purple cloak appeared in the blue column.

"Necro Mage's Pendulum effect activates! Once per turn, while I don't have a Pendulum card in my other Pendulum zone, I can place a DARK Pendulum monster in my face up Extra Deck into the empty Pendulum zone! With the scale 10 Dark Anthelion Dragon, I set the Pendulum scale!"

Come forth, my undying monster! From my hand, Phantom Knights Abyss Swordsman!" Yuto shouted as a large dark armored warrior with a large blue blade appeared.

"Now, I activate the Spell Card, Supreme King Resurrection! I can special summon a dragon-type monster from my graveyard that originated from the Extra Deck! Come back, Dark Requiem Xyz Dragon!" Yuto shouted as his evolved ace monster returned to the field with a powerful roar.

Dark Requiem Xyz Dragon (3000/2500) RNK: 5

"An attack from that dragon can end this duel..." Yuzu nervously said.

"I don't think he finished..." Shun spoke.

"I won't lose to either of your dragons!" Yugo declared.

"It's not over yet!" Yuto exclaimed in a stern tone.

"What?!" Yugo questioned.

"Dark Anthelion Dragon's Pendulum effect! Using two level 7 monsters on my field, I can Xyz Summon this card from my Pendulum zone!" Yuto explained.

"Just like Fast Dragon..." Yugo muttered, remembering how his hybrid dragon had a similar effect.

"I overlay my level 7 Abyss Swordsman and Abyss Guardian! Fang of Rebellion, descend from the purified darkness and destroy those who oppose your order! Scale Xyz Summon! Come forth! Rank 7! Dark Anthelion Dragon!" Yuto shouted as the black hybrid dragon appeared once more.

Dark Anthelion Dragon (3000/2500) RNK: 7 OVU: 2

The three dragons on Yuto's field roared inunison, causing Yugo sweat to form on Yugo's forehead.

"Incredible! Yuto has managed to bring back all three of his Xyz dragons! This sure is a sight!" Melissa commented.

"Three dragons..." Masumi said in awe.

"Could this really be the end?" Gongenzaka wondered.

"Dark Anthelion's effect activates! By using an overlay unit, your dragon loses half of it's ATK and my dragon gains the lost amount! Also, I gain life points equal to the lost amount! This effect can't be negated! Absorb Eclipse!" Yuto shouted as dark energy wrapped around the white dragon.

Clear Wing (2500/2000)-(1250/2000)

Dark Anthelion (3000/2500)-(4250/2500)

YUTO: 550-1800 LP

"No way..." Yuzu uttered.

"Now...prepare to feel the wrath of my dragons! BATTLE! Dark Anthelion Dragon, attack Clear Wing Synchro Dragon! DARK DAWN BREAK!" Yuto shouted as his dragon surrounded itself in purple electricity before flying forward.

"Trap Activate! Card Defense! When my opponent declares an attack, by discarding a card from my hand, the attack is negated! Then, I can draw a card!" Yugo shouted as a barrier of cards blocked the dragon's attack.

"Dark Requiem Xyz Dragon, attack Clear Wing Synchro Dragon! REQUIEST DISASTER DISOBEY!" Yuto commanded as his dragon extended it's stained-glass wings and flew forward.

"Trap Activate! Speed Healing! By banishing a High-SpeedroidSynchro monster in my graveyard, I gain life points equal to half of the banished monster's ATK! I banish High-Speedroid Kitedrake to regain 1500 life points!" Yugo shouted as he was enveloped in a green aura.

YUGO: 250-1750 LP

"Security Shielder's Pendulum effect! Once per turn, by sending a Speedroid Pendulum monster in my face up Extra Deck to the graveyard, an instance of battle damage is halved!" Yugo shouted as he sent Speedroid Passinglider to the graveyard. "Also, I activate the effect of the Trap Card, Synchro Defense Armor's effect in my graveyard that I previously discarded due to Card Defense's effect! By banishing this card, a Synchro monster's destruction is negated!"

The two dragon's briefly clashed, causing a powerfulshockwave that shook Yugo's D-Wheel.

YUGO: 1750-875 LP

"YOU WON'T SURVIVE THIS! Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon, attack Clear Wing Synchro Dragon and end this duel! FINISH HIM!" Yuto commanded his ace dragon as it flew forward with it's electrifying wings and glowing fang.

"Yugo has no other set cards left...and he can't use Security Shielder's effect again...Yuto has won..." Shun said as he looked down.

"No...this can't be the end..." Yuzu said in sadness.

"I...banish the Trap Card, Synchro Endurance in my graveyard that was sent there due to Roll of Fate's effect! By banishing this card, the battle damage is halved!" Yugo shouted at the last moment.

The Xyz Dragon ripped through the Synchro Dragon with it's fang, causing it to cry out in pain before exploding.

YUGO: 875-250 LP

"A-Amazing! By using a variety of effects, Yugo managed to barely survive Yuto's onslaught of attacks!" Melissa shouted as the crowd cheered.

"Your next turn will be your last. I set a card facedown and end my turn!" Yuto concluded.

Dark Anthelion (4250/2500)-(3000/2500)

Yugo was breathing heavy. His hands were shaking. He could feel pain throughout his body. But none of that mattered at the moment.

As Yugo looked at his opponent with his glowing eyes, the only thing he was focused on was destroying his opponent.

"I will...win this duel...I will defeat you...AND THEN WE WILL BECOME ONE! MY TURN-"

"STOP THIS NONSENSE AT ONCE!" A stern voice shouted at the teen.

The berserk boy looked down and saw a holographic screen being displayed from his duel disk. And the person on the screen was none other then Jack Atlas.

"What...?!" Yugo uttered in shock.

"In our duel, you spoke about how you were determined to become the king. I told you that you were too weak and your dueling was full of selfishness. And by losing yourself like this, you are proving me right!" Jack shouted.

"K-King...!" Yugo stuttered.

"By giving into your rage, you are simply giving up on your own dueling. And giving up is nothing but weakness! And by losing control, you are risking the very well being of yourself and your team. Do you really think Shun Kurosaki and Yuzu Hiragi fought for you to get here so you could just lost control of yourself in the biggest duel of your life?!" Jack questioned the boy.

"N-No...they didn't..." Yugo quietly answered.

"And that girl you claimed to be fighting for...Rin...do you really think she would approve of what you have become?!" Jack asked, causing the boy's glowing eyes to widen.

"...R-Rin..." Yugo softly spoke as he remembered his love.

"Let's become King and Queen together, Yugo."

As Yugo remembered her words, a tear slid down the side of his face.

"If you really care about her and all of your other friends...and if you truly want to become king...SNAP OUT OF IT!" Jack sternly shouted at the boy.

"...I won't...be controlled...by my anger...ANYMORE!GRAAAAAAAAAAH!" Yugo let out a powerful roar as his dark aura faded and his eyes returned to their normal cyan color.

"He's...back to normal..." Yuzu said as she smiled.

"Heh...Heh...Heh...what the hell is going on..." Yugo said, being left completely out of breath.Yugo looked at the screen which now displayed Reiji.

"There is a chip on Yuto's helmet that caused you both to lose control of yourselves. In order to save him, you have to destroy it." Reiji told the blue and yellow haired boy.

"Yuto..." Yugo uttered as he looked at the berserk boy who was clearly in a lot of pain.

"If this goes on for much longer, permanent damage may be caused. You have to save him, Yugo." Reiji explained.

"...Right. I won't let you down. I will definitely save Yuto!" Yugo said in a determined tone.

"Good luck." Reiji said as the hologram disappeared.

Yugo scanned the field and saw Yuto's three Xyz Dragons. The three dragons roared as Yuto glared back at Yugo with his glowing blue eyes.

"Take your last pathetic turn already!" Yuto growled.

"The odds really aren't stacked in my favor...you have all three of your Xyz dragons on the field while I have already used every single one of my dragons..." Yugo said as sweat formed on his face.

The boy looked down, causing darkness to cover his visor.

"No...he can't give up hope..." Yuzu said as her happy expression dropped.

"Even so...I won't abandon you, Yuto! Back when we dueled in Standard, you and Yuya were determined to help me control my berserk rage, even when I hurt you. And for that, I won't give on you! I will win and save you from the darkness!" Yugo shouted as he looked up with a determined look in his eyes.

"Heh..." Shun slightly smiled as he saw his teammate strengthen his resolve.

"You can do it, Yugo!" Yuzu cheered with a smile on her face.

"Let's go...My turn-" Yugo began to shout but was caught off guard by a turquoise light emanating from his Extra Deck. "What the-?!"

The light began to shine, completely engulfing the blue and yellow haired boy.

As Yugo opened his eyes, he was now in a white void.

"Hey, what the hell is it this time?!" Yugo angrily questioned.

"Yugo...you want the strength acquired to obtain victory, correct?" A mysterious voice asked.

"T-That voice...I swear I've heard it before..." Yugo uttered. "That's right, I need to win in order to save Yuto! But to be quite honest, I don't really know how I can pull this off..."

"The answer you seek is within the speed." The voice told the boy.

"Within the speed?" Yugo repeated.

"In order to find the answer to victory, you must clear your mind. You must become one with the wind."

"Eh?" Yugo tilted his head in confusion.

Suddenly, two cards materialized in front of Yugo. Although, one of the cards were blank.

"How can I win with a blank card?" Yugo asked.

"The only way you can overcome the obstacles ahead is to break your limits and transcend the boundaries of Synchro. By doing so, you will be able to unlock the power of that card." The voice explained.

"I don't understand..." Yugo said as he scratched his head.

"You will soon enough. Good luck, master." The voice quietly said as the void dissipated.

"Wait-!"

Yugo shook his head as he snapped back to reality. He didn't really know what just happened, but he couldn't afford to waste anymore time. He had to win for the sake of his friend.

"I will win this duel! I will protect my friends and achieve my dream! My turn...DRAW!" Yugo shouted as he powerful drew.

"Will Yugo be able to make a miracle comeback?! This duel is beyond incredible!" Melissa shouted.

Yugo looked at the card in his hand before glaring at his opponent.

"Let's go, Yuto! I activate the Spell Card, Speed Recovery! I can special summon a Speedroid monster from my graveyard! Come back, the tuner monster, Speedroid Red-Eyed Dice!"

"Swift Slicer's effect activates! Once per turn, by banishing a WIND monster in my graveyard, I can target a Spell or Trap on your field and it's destroyed! By banishing Speedroid OMK Gunner, I target Phantom Knights Necro Mage and it's destroyed!" Yugo shouted as his robot leaped upwards and slashed through the Phantom Knight in the blue column.

"Tch..." Yuto clicked his tongue in annoyance.

"Now, I tune my level 1 Speedroid Red-Eyed Dice to my level 2 Swift Slicer! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 3! The Synchro tuner monster, High-Speedroid Cork-10!" Yugo shouted as a green and purple toy gun appeared beside Yugo.

"W-W-What?! Yugo has brought out a Synchro tuner monster?! I didn't even know one of those existed!" Melissa shouted in shock.

"Interesting..." Jack smirked.

"That pathetic monster won't save you!" Yuto shouted.

"We'll see about that! Cork-10's effect activates! When this card is Synchro Summoned, I can choose to activate either one of two effects! The first effect allows me to add a Speedroid Spell or Trap to my hand! The second effect lets me special summon this card's Synchro materials from the graveyard if they are all Speedroid monsters! I choose to activate the second effect! Revive, Speedroid Red-Eyed Dice! Speedroid Swift Slasher!"

"Since it's back on my field, I can use Swift Slicer's effect once more! I banish Clear Wing Synchro Dragon to destroy your set card!" Yugo shouted as the robot slashed through the facedown.

"Why did he banish Clear Wing?" Gongenzaka questioned.

"Speedroid Hexasaucer's Pendulum effect! Once per turn, I can target a banished WIND Synchro monster and I can return it to my Extra Deck! I will return Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!" Yugo declared.

"Now he can Synchro Summon his dragon again!" Masumi realized.

"You tricky bastard...!" Yuto gritted his teeth in anger.

"Now, I tune my level 1 Red-Eyed Dice to my level 2 Swift Slicer and level 4 Bamboo Horse! Spread those wonderous and beautiful wings and strike down our enemies at light speed! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 7! Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!" Yugo shouted as the white and blue dragon returned to the field with a powerful roar.

Clear Wing Synchro Dragon (2500/2000) LVL: 7

"Clear Wing is back!" Yuzu cheered.

"That dragon isn't nearly enough to defeat my dragons!" Yuto shouted.

'This is the moment of truth...this must be how I awaken the power of that card!' Yugo thought to himself. "It's now or never! Here I go, Yuto! I tune my level 3 High-Speedroid Cork-10 to my level 7 Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!"

"He's using two Synchro monsters...to Synchro Summon...?!" Melissa gasped in disbelief.

The Synchro tuner turned into three rings that flew around the Synchro Dragon.

Yugo tried clearing his mind like the voice told him to. He closed his eyes and tried to "become one with the wind", hoping that this would help him. As his dragon turned into light, Yugo opened his eyes.

"SYNCHRO SU-!" Yugo began to shout but was disrupted. Thoughts of uncertainty began to flood his mind such as Yugo losing himself to his rage, Yuto and Yuya going berserk, Yuzu and Shun being sent underground, and Rin being locked away in Academia.

As Yugo shook his head, the light dissipated and the two Synchro monsters returned to the field.

"It didn't work...damn it..." Yugo cursed as he looked down in shame.

"Hah! You failed!" Yuto shouted.

"Don't give up. You still have one more chance."

Yugo looked around in confusion and his eyes caught glance of his dragon looking at him. Clear Wing nodded at the boy, causing him to tilt his head in confusion. He really didn't have time to process what he thought just happened.

Yugo then looked at the final card in his hand, causing his eyes to widen.

"That's right...I still have one more chance. I set a card facedown, turn end." Yugo said in a determined tone as the facedown appeared.

"You will regret not being able to make your last turn count! I will make your death painful for wasting my time! MY TURN!" Yuto shouted as he violently drew.

"A hit from one of Yuto's dragons will end the duel..." Yuzu said in a worried tone.

"Yugo's too idiotic to give up. Even in this type of situation." Shun said with a smirk.

"You're right!" Yuzu smiled. She had faith in her friend.

"It's over! BATTLE! Dark Requiem Xyz Dragon...END THIS DUEL! Attack Clear Wing Synchro Dragon! REQUIEST DISASTER DISOBEY!" Yuto commanded. The dragon flew high in the sky and extended it's stained glass wings outwards before flying down at the opposing dragon.

"This is...MY FINAL CHANCE! Trap Activate! Urgent Tuning!" Yugo shouted as his trap flipped open.

"That card?!" Yuto questioned.

"When activated, this card allows me to perform a Synchro Summon!" Yugo explained.

"Yugo is going to perform a Synchro Summon during the opponent's turn! But will it work this time?!" Melissa shouted.

"This is it...my final stand! I can't mess this up! I have to...clear my mind of doubt...I have to...become one with the wind..." Yugo thought to himself as he closed his eyes.

As the wavering thoughts of doubt tried to flood his mind, Yugo remembered everything and everyone he is fighting for. Yugo took a deep breath and pushed his negative thoughts aside.

He could feel the wind against his body as he road his D-Wheel.

He could feel an overwhelming power build up inside of him.

He could feel a warm light emanating from his Extra Deck.

In Yugo's mind, he could see the blank card shinning bright, revealing to be a new dragon.

Yugo smirked as he opened his eyes which were softly glowing.

He was ready.

"This is the power that I will use to protect my friends and my dream! CLEAR MIND!"

As he drove, Yugo and his D-Wheel were consumed by a bright red light.

"W-What is this light...?!" Yuto nervously asked.

"It's beautiful..." Melissa said in awe.

"LET'S GO! I tune my level 3 High-Speedroid Cork-10 to my level 7 Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!"

Yugo extended his arm outwards and the Synchro tuner turned into three large rings that flew in front of Yugo and his dragon.

As Yugo raced forward, the dragon flew through the rings, causing the two to be consumed by a bright red light as their speed increased.

"Majestic dragon flying at the speed of light! Refine your brilliant wings in the light of evolution and accelerate towards the future! ACCEL SYNCHRO!"

As Yugo and Clear were consumed by the red light, the two briefly disappeared.

"Where did you go?!" Yuto shouted in shock as he turned his head and saw no one behind him.

But as Yuto turned his head forward, his eyes widened as he saw Yugo and reappear in a burst of red and green light.

"How did you-?!"

"Materialize! Level 10! Crystal Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!" Yugo shouted as the new dragon flew out of a large portal above him.

This new evolved dragon was a much larger than Crystal Wing and Clear Wing. It had dark blue skin with white, cyan, and gold armor. The dragon had many sharp green crystals protruding from it's armor and it also had a long black and green tail that extended out of it's lower body. The dragon's wings were made of green crystals that protruded from it's back. The dragon roared as it majestically flew beside Yugo, who had a big grin on his face.

Crystal Clear Wing Synchro Dragon (3300/2500) LVL:10

"This is Yugo's new power...!" Shun said with a surprised look on his face.

"What a beautiful dragon..." Yuzu said in awe.

"...U-U-Unbelievable! In a shocking turn of events, Yugo has managed to break through the limits of Synchro Summoning and performed a never-before-seen Accel Synchro! And he brought out a mesmerizing new dragon!" Melissa shouted in an ecstatic tone. The crowd roared in excitement as they looked at the new dragon.

"He did it." Reiji smiled as he pushed up his glasses.

"This power..." Jack said as he gripped his chest with his hand before smirking. "...could this be the power he needs to reach my throne...?"

"...This can't be happening..." Roget grunted.

"Crystal Clear Wing...you're as amazing as I envisioned you to be. Now...let's settle this! Come, Yuto!" Yugo shouted as he looked back at Yuto.

"That may be an impressive dragon, but mine are still surperior! At this moment, Dark Anthelion Dragon's effect activates! Once per turn, by using an overlay unit, your dragon loses half of it's ATK and my dragon gains the lost amount! Also, I gain life points equal to the lost amount! This effect can't be negated! Absorb Eclipse!" Yuto shouted as his dragon shot forward dark energy from it's wings.

"If Yugo can't dodge this effect, he will lose!" Yuzu panicked.

"But Dark Anthelion's effect can't be negated...!" Shun grunted.

"This is the end of the line!" Yuto sinisterly grinned.

"...I don't need to negate your dragon's effect in order to dodge it! Crystal Clear Wing Synchro Dragon's effectactivates! Once per either player's turn, when the opponent activates a monster effect, this card gains ATK equal to that monster's original ATK until the end of this turn! Also, this card is unaffected by the opponent's monster effects during this turn!" Yugo explained with a smirk.

"That means Dark Anthelion's effect is useless since Crystal Clear Wing is unaffected by monster effects!" Yuzu cheered.

"And Crystal Clear Wing will gain 3000 ATK." Shun commented.

"Do it, Crystal Clear Wing! RADIANT MIRROR!"Yugo shoutedas his dragon roared. The dragon's crystals glowed brightly, causing a green wave of energy to shoot forwardand vanquish the dark energy. Then, the dragon's eyes and crystals shined as it powered up.

Crystal Clear Wing (3300/2500)-(6300/2500)

"No...way..." Yuto uttered in disbelief.

"Hah! How'd you like that, Yuto?!" Yugo smirked.

"...I can't lose...I don't care what happens to me...AS LONG AS I WIN! I banish Supreme King Resurrection in my graveyard to revive a Dragon-type monster to my field but with it's effects negated! Return, Dark Rebellion Apocalypse Dragon!"

Dark Rebellion's Apocalypse Dragon (3000/2500) LVL: 8

"You...WILL DIE BY MY HAND! Go, Dark Rebellion Apocalypse Dragon, attack Crystal Clear Wing Synchro Dragon! KILL HIM!" Yuto menacingly roared in a pained tone as his ritual dragon charged it's fiery attack.

"But it's ATK is far weaker...?!" Masumi said in confusion.

"What are you planning on doing, Yuto? At this rate, you'll destroy yourself!" Yugo shouted as he looked at Yuto's horrible condition.

"H-He brought that dragon back...no way...!" Yuzu gasped.

"Now he has all four dragons on his field..." Shun realized.

"Quick Play Spell...SUPREME KING OVERLOAD ACTIVATE!" Yuto painfully shouted as he violently slapped the card onto his duel disk.

"One of those cards..." Yugo said with a worried look.

"When a dragon-type monster on my field attacks a monster with more attack...the attacking monster gains ATK equal to the combined ranks and levels of all dragon-types on my field times 200! Dark Rebellionhas 4, Dark Requiem has 5, Dark Anthelion has 7, and Dark Rebellion Apocalypse8! That mean Dark Rebellion Apocalypse Dragon gains...4800 ATK!" Yuto shouted as the energy from his Xyz dragons flew into the ritual dragon.

Dark Rebellion Apocalypse(3000/2500)-(7800/2000)

"No...it can't be...!" Yuzu said in disbelief.

"..." Yugo's eyes widened as he looked down, causing his visor to go dark.

"Yuto...won..." Gongenzaka uttered.

"I WILL DESTROY EVERYTHING...STARTING WITH YOU! NOW DIE! BLAZING ARMAGEDDON IMPACT!"

As Yuto painfully screamed, his dragon fired an extremely powerful blast of gold and purple flames.

"YUGO!" Yuzu and Shun screamed.

"FINISH HIM!" Roget shouted.

"...to think you would have a counter like that...you really are something special...but even so...I WILL STILL SAVE YOU!" Yugo declared as he looked up with a bright expression. "Crystal Clear Wing's other effect activates! Once per turn, I can negate the activation of a Spell or Trap card and destroy it! That means Supreme King Overload is negated! DICHROIC FORCE!"

As the dragon roared, a cyclone of green wind began to circle the Quick Play Spell. The cyclone then consumed the card, destroying it. This caused the ritual dragon to severely weaken.

Dark Rebellion (7800/2500)-(3000/2500)

"No...this can't be..."

"I will free you from the chains of anger that restrain you! At this moment, Dark Rebellion Apocalypse Dragon's attack continues!" Yugo shouted.

"Impossible...I can't lose...I have to be strong enough...to save her..." Yuto uttered in disbelief.

"GO, SHINNING TEMPEST DRIVE!"

As the dragon surrounded itself in a green whirlwind of energy, it flew incredibly high in the sky. The dragon spun through the air before descending towards the hybrid dragon. As it descended, the dragon gained more and more speed which caused it's wings to shine even brighter.

The white and blue dragon powered through the dark dragon's blast of flames and drove through the dragon, causing a powerful explosion that knocked Yuto off of his D-Wheel.

Almost as if he managed to break through his berserk state for a brief moment, Yuto closed his eyes for and proudly smiled as he flew off the highway.

"You did it...Yugo..."

YUTO: 1800-0 LP

WINNER: TEAM WINGS OF VICTORY

"Save him!" Yugo commanded his dragon.

As Yuto was about to hit the water below the highway, Crystal Clear Wing quickly dove downwards and grabbed the boy.

"...Thank god..." Yugo sighed in relief as he and his dragon raced back to the stadium.

"...THE MATCH IS OVER! YUGO HAS WON THE DUEL FOR TEAM WINGS OF VICTORY!" Melissa shouted at the top of her lungs.

"YUGO! YUGO! YUGO!" The crowd cheered.

"How...unexpected..." Roget grunted as his fist tightened. He certainly didn't expect this outcome.

"...He did it...He did it!" Yuzu cheerfully shouted.

"Yeah...he sure did." Although Shun was proud of his teammate, he anxiously waited to see if Yuto was alright.

As soon as Yugo returned to the stadium, he braked and got off his D-Wheel.

His dragon flew downwards and placed Yuto on the ground beside him.

"Thanks...Clear Wing..." Yugo smiled at his dragon.

The dragon nodded before dispersing into glimmering particles.

"I knew you could do it...Master..."

Yugo then turned to the knocked out Yuto and took his helmet off of him. Yugo then proceeded to take the shock chip off of his helmet and crushed it with his foot.

"Yuto! Please wake up, Yuto!" Yugo shouted as he shook Yuto's body.

"...Yu...go...?" Yuto uttered as he regained consciousness.

"Yuto! You're alright!" Yugo cheerfully shouted as he tightly hugged his look alike.

"...Yugo...can't...breathe...!"

"Sorry! Sorry! I was just so worried of what might have happened..." Yugo trailed off.

"What the hell happened to me...I just remember dueling...and then my head really hurt... and then..." Yuto said as he began to remember the duel.

"Roget put a shock chip on your helmet that shocked your brain. It caused some sort of chain reaction that affected me due to our connection. My guess is that it affected Yuya too." Yugo explained.

"...we both went berserk...and summoned all of our dragons...but you managed to break control...right?" Yuto asked.

"With a little help from Reiji and the king." Yugo answered.

"That's right...you managed to bring forth a new dragon...and you won. You defeated me." Yuto remembered.

"Well...I don't know if it truly counts...you really weren't in control of your actions and-!"

"No, I remember now. You clearly bested me in this duel with that new form of Synchro Summoning. I was giving it my all and you still won. Congrats, Yugo. You did it." Yuto said in a proud tone as he held his hand out.

"...Thanks, Yuto." Yugo said, feeling a bit emotional as he shook Yuto's hand.

"But next time we duel, I will be the one to claim victory. I promise you that." Yuto smirked.

"Heh, we'll see about that." Yugo grinned.

BA-BUMP

"W-What the hell...?!" Yugo gasped as he clutched his chest.

"Do you feel that?" Yuto asked as he did the same.

"Yeah...it feels like maybe Yuya is close by...but that can't be true." Yugo said.

"If it isn't Yuya...could it be...?" Yuto trailed off.

"No...it can't be..." Yugo uttered as he realized what Yuto was thinking.

The two boys slowly look up and there widened as they saw someone standing on the roof of the stadium.

The two made direct eye contact with the purple and pink haired boy with sinister pink eyes. As the boy noticed that he was spotted, his lips curled into a creepy smile.

"...Y-Yuri..." Yuto uttered in shock.

"It seems I finally get to have some fun~!" Yuri cheerfully said before turning to run away.

"This could be our one chance of finding Ruri and Rin." Yuto stated.

"You're right..." Yugo said.

"I know this tournament means a lot to you, but-!"

"We can't waste this chance. I won't let anything get in the way of me saving Rin." Yugo said as he put on his helmet and got on his D-Wheel. "Let's go, Yuto."

Due to his damaged D-Wheel being left on the highway, Yuto put on his helmet and sat on the back of Yugo's D-Wheel.

"Hold on tight!" Yugo shouted as he revved his engines before racing out of the stadium once more.

"Yugo!"

"Yuto!"

Yuzu, Shun, Masumi, and Gongenzaka shouted to the boys as they tried catching up to them.

"We'll be back!" Yuto shouted.

"W-Wait! I wanted to get an exclusive interview! You can't just leave!" Melissa shouted as she ran out to the track with her camera man lagging behind.

A group of Security tried blocking off the exit to the stadium, but Yugo pulled upwards and jumped over them.

'Don't worry, Rin. I'll save you soon enough!'

'Ruri...you won't be held captive for much longer...I'll do anything to save you!'

Wow. Finally done. I've been waiting for a long long long time to write this duel and I finally got to do it. I'm very happy with the way this chapter turned out and I hope you are all happy with it too. This was an incredibly long chapter and duel so I hope that excuses it taking so long. The next chapter hopefully won't take that long due to it not being a tournament duel.

First thing I want to address is Crystal Clear Wing Synchro Dragon. The real version of this card has 3000 ATK, but I thought that was really stupid since an upgraded version of Clear Wing and Crystal Wing should have more then 3000 ATK since Crystal Wing has 3000 ATK. I already have fan made evolutions for Greedy Venom and Dark Requiem with more than 3000 ATK so it doesn't really make sense to have Crystal Clear Wing's ATK be 3000. So, I decided to keep the dragon's effects but change it's ATK to 3300 as a reference to Yusei's Shooting Star Dragon.

Next, since this is one of the more important matches, I'll talk about each separate duel that occurred.

Shun vs Gongenzaka: I really had Gongenzaka push Shun through out this duel, to everyone's surprise. Gongenzaka used his variety of Synchro monsters to fight against Shun's variety of Xyz monsters and even pushed him to bring out Ultimate Falcon for the first time in this story. And unlike the anime, Ultimate Falcon actually got Shun a win! Pushing Shun even further than Dennis did along with reducing Shun's life points to 10 really did solidify him as a strong duelist, despite him losing to Shun's new monster in the end. He even earned the respect of Shun, which helped with his character development. Though he isn't reformed yet, with the help of Yugo and Yuzu, he is getting there. We'll see that a bit in the next duel.

Shun vs Masumi: This duel was actually pretty fun to write. I know I said this about some of the other characters already, but I really had Masumi go all out in this duel (and her duel with Yuzu) by using all of her fusion monsters that she didn't use in the anime. I really think Gem-Knights are awesome and I really enjoyed having Masumi use her different Gem-Knights to try and beat Shun. And I also decided to throw in Shun's manga monster, Blade Burner Falcon since it's effect involved having a small amount of life points and Shun has 10. Also, I used this duel to kind of advance Shun's arc while allowing Masumi to get her revenge on Shun for falsely carding LDS members and for her humiliating defeat with the LDS trio. But due to Academia being the ones who started this whole situation by kidnapping Shun's sister, she decides to push her anger aside that way they can focus on the real threat, which is a mature thing to do. She then uses her ace monster, Master Dia, to win the duel (I know this win might not feel like a true win since Shun was at 10 life points and I agree, but to be fair, Shun got to start off with the 3500 ATK Ultinate Falcon that was unaffected by card effects. Masumi also had to fend off Blade Burner Falcon, Rise Falcon, and Revolution Falcon, so things weren't easy.)

Yuzu vs Masumi: I honestly didn't really know how to approach this duel. Due to me wanting to have Yuto vs Yugo duel each other at their absolute best (at 4000 life points and no wasted resources), I want to make the duel before that a draw. I could have had Yuzu and Masumi go first, have Yuzu beat Masumi, then have Gongenzaka beat Yuzu, and then Shun and Gongenzaka would have a draw. But the problem was that I wanted Shun and Masumi to duel with Masumi being the victor. Also, I thought that Gongenzaka beating Yuzu and drawing with Shun would have been problematic for a few reasons. Yes, I know Gongenzaka vs Yuzu (with low life points due to dueling Masumi) would have been an emotional duel. But, I really thought that Masumi vs Shun (with low life points) would have been better due to their being more Gem-Knight Fusions then Superheavy Synchros, therefore I could make the duels longer by having Masumi using all of her fusions. And I really thought it would be a crime if I didn't have Masumi and Shun face each other due to their last encounter with each other. Gongenzaka vs Yuzu will probably be a full duel that happens down the line. I really enjoyed writing this duel while having Masumi use all of her other Gem-Knights vs all of Yuzu's Melodious monsters. I decided to give Masumi a new Fusion boss to show that she has improved after losing to Yuzu. I gave Yuzu a new Fusion instead of a Synchro because losing to Masumi inspired her to learn Fusion so I thought it would be fitting to give her a new one that could harness the power of her other fusions. But due to these rivals not being able to settle the score, they will both strive to become even stronger, which is fitting. Yuzu and Masumi will face off once again in the future.

Yugo vs Yuto: This duel was by far my favorite duel so far in this story. I got really carried away while making this duel and it turned how to be really good, but kinda long. And honestly, I'm fine with it. I don't really mind these duels being longer as long they are entertaining. The first half of the duel was Yuto and Yugo battling it out with their Phantom Knights and Speedroids. Though both boys talked about not being afraid, they were little reluctant to summon their dragons. Yugo ended up being the first to bring out his dragon and used Clear Wing to destroy Yuto's new Synchro Phantom Knights monster. Last chapter, I showed why Roget decided to target Yuto instead of Yuya like in the show. The shock chip on Yuto was the one that Roget put on Yuya in the anime when he dueled Crow. Due to their connection, all of the boys went berserk and Yuto and Yugo continued their duel while using all of their dragons. Having Yuto and Yugo use all of their dragons made this duel extremely fun to write. When they first went berserk, I wanted to have a few turns where both tried using Dark Rebellion and Clear Wing to win the duel. But after being left at a stalemate, they both decided to step things up. They both used all of their dragons to try and win but neither one gave up. I really wanted to do the turn where Yuto brought all of his Xyz Dragons back to the field to make an incredibly hopeless situation for Yugo. Giving some spotlight to Reiji and Jack, I thought it would be a good idea to have these two break through to Yugo. I really like portraying Reiji as a very smart person who is very perceptive and always has a plan. Don't get me wrong, I liked Reiji in the anime, but hr didn't really do a whole lot and barely dueled for being in the "rival role". For the majority of the Synchro Arc, he was just standing in a room. And in the Xyz Arc, he was non-existent. But, I still really liked him. That's why I'm trying to give him more involvement. As for Jack, he seems like the type of person who really wants a good challenge. And by helping Yugo, he is going to get that good challenge if they face each other again. Plus, I don't think he is that much of an asshole to refuse saving Yuto and Yugo's lives. Anyway, responding to Yugo's determination as well as gaining strength through out the duel, Clear Wing communicated with Yugo and taught him about the evolution to Synchro...Accel Synchro, used by Yusei Fudou in Yugioh 5Ds. And using Crystal Clear Wing Synchro Dragon, Yugo wins the duel. I honestly like Crystal Clear Wing and it's effects but I stated why I changed it's ATK earlier. I hope some of you don't mind Yuto losing because this really is Yugo's arc. Yuto was saved by Yugo and the two then raced off to confront Yuri. I felt really good about this duel and I hope you all enjoyed it!

Side bar real quick, some of you might be asking "Why didn't Team Wings of Victory duel Team Devastation?" and "Why didn't Team United Hope duel Team Blades of Bravery?"

Well, here are my thoughts on that.

Shun would face Kiryu and this would really be nothing but an epic duel. The character's natures sorta relate to each other but it wouldn't really be a great duel story-wise. Kiryu vs Crow would be a much better choice since the two have history which would make it much better story-wise. Plus, who wouldn't want to see two 5D's characters duke it out.

Yuzu would end up facing Aki. Nothing's wrong with that and in fact, this will definitely still happen later on, you have my word. Serena vs Masumi could be interesting since they both are hardcore Fusion users, but the more meaningful duel would obviously be Masumi vs Yuzu. As for Aki vs Serena, having two of the most badass ygo girls duel each other is the obvious choice.

Here's the one that gets tricky. Having Yugo and Sergey have a rematch makes complete sense. Having Yugo use Clear Wing evolutions against the Earthbound monsters would be cool. And a Yuya vs Yuto rematch would still be awesome since I love them both so much. I chose Yugo vs Yuto because that duel basically started it all for this fic and having Yugo save Yuto from the darkness was a good parallel to Yuto and Yuya trying to save Yugo from the darkness in the first chapter. Also, having Yuya duel Sergey is going to be very...interesting to say the least.

BladeWriter3: I agree, the dub of 5Ds not adapting those episodes was a crime. And I agree that Shun's whole angry bird thing was kinda frustrating. I think having positive people in his life such as Yugo and Yuzu is really helping him as a character. And his arc will continue in the next chapter when he reunites with Sora. It's also nice to see another Kamen Rider fan (Wizard's designs were awesome...but the story was lacking in my opinion). And honestly, I'm going to be kind of sad that I won't be able to write as many Yuri and Sora interactions after this arc. I honestly love them together and I wish they knew each other in the anime. As for Yuto's arc, I really wouldn't call it development yet. As someone who seems calm and collected, he boils up all of his rage. And though he knows being consumed by his rage is bad and hurting others is wrong, he is willing to do what ever it takes to save Ruri. But the thing is, after his goals are accomplished, will he still be so ruthless? I'm really using Yuto's story in the Synchro Arc to set up for his development in the Xyz Arc. And Yuya picking Entertainment over violence is good...but will he be able to do that against an opponent who wants to kill him? Thanks for the review as always!

I really like their rivalry and I think having Yuzu beat her at this point might diminish the rivalry they have.

Guest 01: Honestly, I'm never really thought about ARC-V Jack facing Andre. I think if Jack managed to bring out Tyrant Red Daemon's Dragon, he would have the clear advantage but if not, it would be close. I will give ARC-V Jack one thing, in the anime, he was really good at getting Action Cards due to his masterful D-Wheel skills. And I felt like Roget falling into the portal in the anime was so...boring I guess? He could have easily showed up in the Fusion Dimension and dueled Leo Akaba or Yuri. Or he could have joined forces with Leo even. But nope. He just kinda died. Oh well. I hope this long ass duel was satisfying! Thanks for the review!

E.T. 2000: I'm going to be honest, if I knew there was such thing as an alicorn before I read this review, I would have definitely used it lol. Yuya and Edo will definitely have a rivalry going on in the Xyz Arc. At first, Yuto's rival will be Kaito but will then change to a certain Cyber user. And yes, Edo will absolutely have Destroy Phoenix Enforcer. And as for Masumi going to the Fusion Dimension...great minds think alike. Thanks for the review!

charly12: Thanks! I'm glad you liked that Yuya stayed true to his style instead of going rage mode when things got tough. And I agree that Roget was well written...and him getting killed off by the portal that he created was poetic in a way...but I felt that he still had a bit of wasted potential. Though it was refreshing to see a villain who wasn't primarily a duelist, this is an anime about a card game. So, I kinda want the villain to be good at the card game. And the only reason Roget actually didn't get insta killed was because he was cheating. And I don't even mind the cheating part. I just wish he didn't use Ancient Gears which was kinda boring. But, that's really just a nitpick. He was a good villain and I'm going to make him an even better one. Thanks for the review.
