Update(please read): Hey everyone. Please forgive me for not updating. Things have been hectic with schooling/sports and other personal things. "Hah! I can't tell if you are incredibly brave or stupid!" Barbara laughed.
"Definitely stupid if he thinks he can take all of us on at once!" Malcolm grinned.
"Lets make this quick! Take your turn!" Lotten shouted.
"Relax Reira...you have been training for this for you entire life...you are more capable then anyone else...I believe in you..."
"Smile, Reira."
The words of Reiji and Yuya gave Reira strength as he glared at his opponents.
"I...will defeat all of you!" Reira exclaimed with a determined look in his eyes.

Yugo is riding his D-Wheel down a Duel Lane at night, the neon signs and billboards of City aglow with life as he passes by. Out on a boat in the sea, Yuri faces Academia, arms visibly crossed.

Rightmost is Sora, who is consumed by the shadow and looking away from the group. But two hands reach out to him, causing him to turn around towards the light.
Until You Find The Answer
Cut to the Standard, Xyz and Synchro counterparts together on a grassy hill, gazing at the starry night sky. Yuzu and Ruri rest their heads on Yuya and Yuto's shoulders respectively, who in turn drape an arm around them. Rin does the same with Yugo, who blushes redder than Yuya's hair. It is a touching scene….
You're Looking For!
… the screen falls to reveal the Fusion Counterparts falling into darkness. Yuri grins wickedly as his eyes are whited out by a violet glow. Behind him is the shadow of an older boy, face obscured with a monstruous, inhuman smile on his face. Above him, Serena holds out her hand, desperately trying to reach her former friend. The gem on her bracelet shines like a star, cutting through the miasma that surrounds them. Behind her is the golden spirit of an older girl, trying to reach out to the figure behind Yuri as tears flow. The older teens vanish as the Fusion Counterparts' silhouettes turn to black and a large, sinister pair of draconic eyes open wide behind them.
I'll Challenge All My Limits
Crow, Kiryu, the Black Rose Witch, and Jack race in a line on the highway and call forth their dragons; Black-Feather, Infernity Void, Black Rose, and Red Daemon's.
Knowing This Could Be My Only Chance Now
Yuzu and Serena stand together striking Fusion and Pendulum summoning poses respectively. On the right side of the screen behind Yuzu is Bloom Diva, Bloom Lorin, and Prodigy Mozart. On the left side of the screen behind Serena was Cat Dancer, Panther Dancer and Lio Dancer.
To Overcome This Fate That's Come Over Me
On his D-Wheel, Yuya extends his arm outwards as Enlightenment Paladin begins to glow and evolves into a blue and golden warrior with a large sword. The swordsman hovers over Yuya with Odd Eyes Rebellion on it's right and Odd Eyes Wing on it's left.
The Ending Of This Story
Yuri stands in a dark tunnel with a monstrous grin with Starve Venom and Greedy Venom behind him. To his sides are Ruri and Rin with soulless eyes. Behind the girls are Independent Nightingale and Crystal Bell respectively.
I Will Hold It Close As I Wonder So Aimlessly
Yuto and Yugo closely race next to each other on the highway as Dark Rebellion and Clear Wing flew through the sky. Yuto slaps a card on his duel disk causing Dark Rebellion to be consumed by flames and evolve into Dark Rebellion Apocalypse. Yugo throws a card on his duel disk and reaches his hand out to the sky as Clear Wing shined and evolved into Crystal Wing. The two dragons fly at each other full force as and smash their heads against each other as Yuto and Yugo yell with glowing indigo and cyan eyes.
Into This New World
The scene changes to Yuya standing beneath a blue landscape. A pendulum swings above him, draw arcs of light across the sky. Yusho's face is shown over the center of the arcs, smiling down at his son with pride.

Yuya reaches his hand out as the image of his father fades. He is shown to have a look of surprise on his face...

…which quickly turns into a triumphant smile!

The screen flashes to Reiji with D/D/D Hell Armageddon on his field sternly standing in front of the laughing Hell Kaiser with the roaring Cyber End Dragon. The scene changes to a worn out Serena and Yuzu kneeling in front of the soulless Rin and Ruri, with the silhouette of Parasite Fusioner behind them. The scene shifts again to Yuya, Yuto, Yugo, and Yuri standing across from each other with glowing eyes and spiked up hair as their dragons roared. The four dragons crash against each other causing a bright light to engulf the screen. The song ends with a shot of the Lancers on the highway in the Synchro Dimension looking up at the screen with the three Yu-boys in the center, each sharing a look of determination.
"My turn. From my hand, I summon Film Magician." Reira said as his signature magician appeared on the field.

"So attacking it with our monsters won't work. Interesting." Lotten commented.
"I set two cards facedown, turn end." Reira concluded.
"I don't care if you're a kid, you're going down! My turn! From my hand, I summon Iron Chain Blaster!" Malcolm shouted as a purple and blue armored machine warrior with a cannon-like body appeared.

"Next, I activate the Spell Card, Double Summon! I can normal summon once more! From my hand, I summon the tuner monster, Iron Chain Coil!" Malcolm exclaimed as a small yellow and brown machine appeared.

"Now, I tune my level 4 Iron Chain Coil to my level 2 Iron Chain Blaster! Beastly dragon wrapped in chains! Break through the binding force and appear! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 6! Iron Chain Dragon!" Malcolm yelled as a large blue dragon appeared with chain on it's body.

"Next, I activate two Continuous Spells, Poison Chain and Paralyzing Chain!" Malcolm shouted as the two spells materialized on the field. "Due to Poison Chain's effect, during a turn I don't conduct my Battle Phase, this card forces you to send the top cards of your deck to the graveyard equal to the combined levels of my monsters! I set a card facedown, turn end! Now, send six cards to the graveyard!"
Reira gritted his teeth as he was forced to discard his cards.
"And due to Paralyzing Chain's effect, you receive 300 damage whenever card are sent from your deck to your graveyard!" Malcolm grinned.
"GAH!" Reira shouted as he was shocked by electricity.

"He's all yours, Barbara!" Malcolm told his teammate.
"This should be easy! My turn! From my hand, I summon Harpie Channeler!" Barbara shouted as a red haired dressed in black with dark wings appeared.

"Harpie Channeler's effect activates! By discarding Harpie Sisters, I can special summon Cyber Harpie from my deck!"

"I tune my level 4 Cyber Harpie to my level 4 Channeler! Master of the wind that soars through sky! Fly onto the field and slash through your prey! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 8! Cyber Slash Harpie Lady!" Barbara yelled as a purple winged harpie with golden armor and claws appeared on the field.

"This monster be Synchro Summoned using a Harpie monster instead of a tuner monster!" Barbara explained with a smirk. "Quick Play Spell, Cyclone activate! Your set card is destroyed! At this moment, Cyber Slash's effect activates! Once per turn, when a Spell or Trap is activated, this card can return either a Harpie Lady or a monster on my opponent's field to their hand! Film Magician is returned to your hand!"
A black tornado enveloped one of the set cards as a gust of wind blew Film Magician back into Reira's hand.
"With that, all hope is lost for you! Battle! Cyber Slash Harpie Lady, Direct Attack! Cyber Scratch Slash!" Barbara commanded as her monster's claws shined while it flew towards Reira.
Reira eyes widened in fear as he saw the Synchro monster approaching. The boy then shook his head, refocusing himself.
"Quick Play Spell, Quick Summon! This card lets me normal summon a monster! From my hand, I summon Film Magician!" Reira shouted as his magician returned to the field.

"Damn it...I set a card facedown, turn end!" Barbara concluded.
"Continuous Trap, Doom Chain activate! During each player's End Phase, you must send a card from the top of your deck to the graveyard for every Iron Chain monster on my field!" Malcolm shouted as Reira was forced to send the top card of his deck to the graveyard. "And due to Paralyzing Chain's effect, you take 300 damage!"
Reira let out a cry as he was shocked by electricity once more.

"End this, honey." Barbara told his husband.
"You got it, sweetie." Lotten said to his wife before turning to his opponent. "My turn! I'll put you out of your misery, brat! From my hand, I summon Gatling Ogre!"

"I set 5 cards facedown! Then, Gatling Ogre's effect activates! By sending a Spell/Trap on my field to the graveyard, you take 800 damage! I send all 5 of my set cards to the graveyard..." Lotten said as his evil grin widened. "...AND YOU TAKE 4000 POINTS OF DAMAGE!"
"Motion Magician's effect activates in my hand! When I would take effect damage, I can special summon this card to my field!" Reira shouted as a green version of Film Magician appeared.

"And as long as this card this card is on my field, any effect damage I would take is reduced to 0!" Reira shouted as the magician held up it's staff, causing a green barrier to appeared around Reira that protected him from the barrage of bullets.
"You damn brat...I activate the effect of Ogre's Bounty in my graveyard! When this Trap Card is sent to my graveyard while I control an Ogre monster, I can draw two cards! Next, by discarding an Ogre monster, I can special summon this card from my hand! I discard Long Barrel Ogre to special summon the tuner monster, Marksman Ogre!"

"Now, I tune my level 5 Marksman Ogre to my level 3 Gatling Ogre! Hellish fiend, use your deadly weapons to become the ultimate killing machine! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 8! Berserker Ogre!" Lotten exclaimed as silver skinned fiend with black armor appeared. The fiend had multiple guns protruding from it's core, back, shoulders, and arms.

"Taste my power! BATTLE! Berserker Ogre, attack Motion Magician! GIGA BULLET BARRAGE!" Lotten exclaimed as a burst of bullet was fired and shot through the magician.
"Grr...!" Reira grunted from the shockwave of the attack.
"Now that your magician is destroyed, I can do this! Berserker Ogre's effect activates! Once per turn, I can banish an Ogre monster in my graveyard and you take damage equal to it's ATK or DEF! I banish the 3000 DEF Long Barrel Ogre and you take 3000 damage! TAKE THIS!" Lotten sinisterly grinned as his monster fired a powerful blast form both of it's barrels.
"GAAAAH!" Reira cried as he was hit by the blast, sending him flying through the air.
REIRA: 3400-400 LP
"Ghh..." Reira uttered as he got up from the ground.
"You really don't give up, do you?" Lotten asked with a smirk. "You won't last much longer! I end my turn!"
"At this moment, Doom Chain's effect activates! Since I control one Iron Chain monster, you must send a card from your deck to the graveyard! Then, Paralyzing Chain's effect activates, dealing you 300 damage!"
"GRAH!" Reira screamed as he was forced to his knees by the electricity.
REIRA: 400-100 LP
"At the end of your next turn, Doom Chain and Paralyzing Chain will trigger once more, depleting you of your remaining life points! Meaning, you have only one turn left before you lose!" Malcolm shouted with a grin.
"HAHAHA! Did you really think you stood a chance against all three of us? How laughable!" Barbara chuckled.
"Savior your last breathes while you can before we end you, brat! THIS DUEL IS OVER!" Lotten shouted at the top of his lungs.
"No...I refuse to...give up..." Reira uttered as he forced himself to get back up.
"What?" Lotten said in a surprised tone.
"Yuya...taught me to never give up...and my brother...taught me that I have enough strength...to defeat people like you!" Reira shouted.
"Still got some fight left in you, eh?" Lotten smirked.
"I...will win this duel during this turn!" Reira declared with a determined look in his eyes. "My...TURN!"
As Reira drew, he glanced at the sight of his ace that he had drawn.
"From my hand, I summon C/C One-Eyed Past Eye!" Reira shouted as his metallic ace monster with a red eye appeared.

"I activate the Spell Card, Critical Draw! While I control Past Eye on my field, I can draw until I have five cards in my hand!" Reira shouted as he drew.
"Cyber Harpie's effect activates! When a Spell or Trap is activated, I can return a monster on your field to your hand-"
"That won't work. Picture Magician's effect activates in my graveyard which was discarded through Doom Chain's effect! By banishing this card, I can negate a monster effect that would cause a monster to leave the field!" Reira countered as a blue version of Film Magician appeared. The magician fired a blast of blue energy at the Harpie, paralyzing it completely.
"Damn you!" Barbara shouted.
"Next, I activate the Continuous Spell, Nightmare Past Loop! Due to this card's effect, I can release a monster on my field. I release Film Magician!" Reira exclaimed as the magician bursted into particles.
"Why the hell did you do that?" Malcolm questioned.
"He's just a confused child who should give up!" Barbara shouted.
"Damn right!" Lotten shouted.
"I activate the Continuous Spell, Montage Fusion! With this card's effect, I can take a picture of your Cyber Slash Harpie Lady!" Reira shouted as the image on the card turned into a picture of the Synchro Harpie monster.
"What?!" Barbara shouted in confusion.
"Then, I can fuse the picture of Cyber Harpy Lady with C/C One-Eyed Past Eye!" Reira shouted as his two cards began to swirl into the Fusion vortex.
"Master of the winds! Dwell in this eye and give me your power! Fusion Summon! Come forth and knock everything at the speed of sound! Level 8 C/C/C Sonic Halberd the Embodiment of Fused Arms!" Reira shouted as a large blue halberd appeared with a yellow handle and a bright green aura.

"Next, I activate the Continuous Spell, Critical Power! All C/C/C monsters on my field gain 100 ATK times their rank or level! Meaning, Sonic Halberd gains 800 ATK!" Reira shouted as his monster's aura became brighter.

"3800 ATK..." Barbara uttered in a nervous tone before shaking her head. "Hah! There's no way you can defeat us with only a single monster like that!"
"We'll see about that. Battle! Sonic Halberd, attack Cyber Slash Harpie Lady! Storming Sonic Strike!" Reira commanded as the weapon flew forward and sliced through the Harpie.
BARBARA: 4000-2800 LP
"Grr...I won't let you get away with that! Trap Activate! Harpie Revenge! When a Harpie monster is destroyed by battle or card effect, I can destroy a monster on the field and you take damage equal to half of that monster's ATK! So long, child!" Barbara grinned as a blast of wind was fired at the monster.
"Sonic Halberd cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects the turn it is summoned!" Reira countered as his monster powered through the blast of wind.
"What?!" Barbara gasped.
"That's not all! Sonic Halberd can make two attacks during each Battle Phase!" Reira shouted.
"N-No way!" Barbara shouted in disbelief.
"Go, Storming Sonic Strike!" Reira shouted as his monster slashed down at Barbara, sending her flying backwards.
"GAAAAH!" Barbara cried as the ensuing explosion sent her flying through the air and onto the ground, knocking her out.

"Barbara! You'll pay for that!" Lotten growled.
"Relax brother, he can't do anything else and we will win at the end of the turn-"
"You didn't understand why I released a monster through my Spell's effect? Here's why! Nightmare Past Loop's effect activates! On the turn I release a monster through this card's effect, by releasing a Fusion, Synchro, or Xyz monster thatused Past Eye as material, I can special summon C/C One-Eyed Past Eye from my graveyard! I release Sonic Halberd the Embodiment of Fused Arms!" Reira shouted as his Fusion monster bursted into particles while his ace returned.

"Getting rid of your monster? Is this your way of giving up?" Malcom smirked.
"Quick Play Spell, Past Tuning activate! By this card's effect, Past Eyes has it's effects negated and becomes a tuning monster until the end of the turn!" Reira exclaimed.
"A tuner?!" Malcolm shouted.
"That means...!" Lotten realized.
"And with the effect of Past Tuning, I can change the level of a monster on your field depending on it's current level! Since Iron Chain Dragon is level 6, it's level becomes level 3!" Reira shouted.

"Now, my Spells takes a picture of your level 3 Iron Chain Dragon!" Reira shouted as the image on the card became the image of the dragon. "I tune the level 3 Past Eye to the level 3 Iron Chain Dragon! Iron Cannon that has been engraved! Synchronize with this eye and give me your power! Synchro Summon! Forward! Forged weapon that knocks everything down! Level 6! C/C/C Rock Shooter the Embodiment of Tuned Attacks!"
A long brown and green rock monster appeared with sharp yellow teeth and a red eye appeared. The monster had a round mouth, making it look similar to a barrel.

"A Synchro Summon during the Battle Phase?!" Lotten shouted in shock.
"Due to Critical Power's effect, this card gains 600 ATK since it's level 6!" Reira shouted as his monster powered up.

"Rock Shooter's effect activates! Once per either player's turn, I can target a monster on your field and it loses 1000 ATK! I target Iron Chain Dragon!" Reira shouted as his monster opened it's mouth and fired a green blast of energy that weakened the dragon.

"Rock Shooter, attack Iron Chain Dragon! At this moment, this card gains 200 ATK times the level of all other EARTH monsters on the field! Iron Chain Dragon is level 3, meaning my monster gains 600 ATK!"

"Go, Rock Shooter! Attack Iron Chain Dragon! Gaia Force Blast!" Reira cried as his monster fired a powerful orange blast that obliterated the dragon.

"Grr...give up already! You can't win!" Malcolm shouted.
"Quick Play Spell, C/C Assault activate! I can target a C/C monster and it can make another attack! I target Rock Shooter!" Reira shouted as his monster began charging another attack.
"N-No...this can't be..." Malcolm gasped.
"Go, Rock Shooter! Direct Attack! Gaia Force Blast!" Reira shouted as his monster fired another powerful orange blast.
"GRAAAAH!" Malcolm screamed as he consumed by the blast, sending him flying backwards.

"Malcolm!" Lotten yelled as he looked at his unconscious brother. "It doesn't matter! On my next turn, I'll just banish another Ogre monster to deal damage to you and win through my monster's effect-"
"There won't be a next turn." Reira declared.
"What?!" Lotten shouted.
"Nightmare Past Loop's effect activates! By releasing Rock Shooter, I can special summon C/C One-Eyes Past Eye!" Reira shouted as his monster dissolved and his ace returned.

"Quick Play Spell, Past Overlay activate! This card takes a picture of your Berserker Ogre!" Reira said as the fiend's image appeared on the card. "Then, Past Eye gains Berserker Ogre's ATK, DEF, Level, Attribute, and Type!"

"Now, I overlay my level 8 Past Eye and Berserker Ogre! Xyz Summon! Come forth! Rank 8! Burning claw that incinerates everything! Blaze Gauntlet the Embodiment of Overlaid Arms!" Reira shouted as a crimson gauntlet with a fiery orange aura appeared.

Once per either player's turn, by using an overlay unit, all FIRE monsters on the field besides this monster are destroyed and this card gains 500 ATK for each destroyed monster!" Reira shouted as his monster released a powerful blast of fire from it's palm that incinerated the fiend.

"...This can't be real...this power...you're a monster...!" Lotten uttered with a trembling voice.
"I'm not a monster...I'm a Lancer!" Reira declared as he determinedly stepped forward, causing his opponent to step back out of fear. "Go, Blaze Gauntlet! Direct Attack! Burning Solar Fist!"
The gauntlet ignited into flames and curled into a fist before flying through the air at Lotten.
"DAMN YOU!" Lotten screamed before being punched in the guy by the gauntlet, sending him flying through the air and knocking him out.

"I won..." Reira uttered as the field dissipated. He then walked past the criminal's bodies and made his way over to the main computer. "Time to complete the mission."
Reira pulled a flash drive out of his pocket and plugged it into Roget's computer.
After the download was complete, Reira took the flash drive and inserted it into his duel disk. He then tapped a button and his brother appeared on the screen.
"Brother, I'm sending you the information that I downloaded off of Roget's computers." Reira said as he began tapping his duel disk.
"Excellent work, Reira. I unfortunately won't be able to join you for the time being. I am currently being preoccupied by Roget's men and I need to keep the Council safefor support in the future." Reiji explained.
"Do you need help, brother?" Reira asked in a concerned tone.
"I will be fine. I need you to meet Tsukikage and the others at this location. I have provided the route on your duel disk that will get you there within the hour." Reiji explained as a map appeared on the boy's duel disk screen.
"I understand. You can count on me, brother." Reira nodded.
Reiji smiled as he saw his brother's expression. It was nice to see his normally emotionless brother gain more confidence.
"Good luck, Reira." Reiji said before ending the transmission.
Reira then went to walk out of the room with a determined look on his face.
"I won't be a burden...I will make Reiji, Yuya, and everyone else proud!"
With Yuya and Serena
Yuya drove through the empty streets of the city with Serena. The boy could hear explosions in the background, causing him to grit his teeth in anger.
"Academia...how could they use dueling in such a way...it's unforgivable...!" Yuya grunted.
Serena, who was barely conscious, noticed figures racing across roof tops in the distance.
"Yuya...we're being followed...!" Serena alerted the red and green haired boy.
"Huh?!"
Suddenly, a group of three Obelisk Soldiers leaped off of a building and landed servers feet in front of Yuya, causing him to come to a stop.
"Damn it..." Yuya growled.
"Hand over Serena and we will give you a quick and painless death." An Obelisk Soldier with a red gem on his forehead said.
"You bastards...I won't let you touch Serena!" Yuya angrily shouted.
"In that case, it's to duel like your life depends on it!" An Obelisk Soldier with a green gem on his forehead shouted as the three simultaneously activated their duel disks.
As Yuya attached his duel disk to his arm, he began to think about everything that has happened.
Memories of himself going berserk began swarming his mind, causing Yuya's eyes to widen in horror.
He thought about how he succumbed to the darkness in his heart during his previous duel. He remembered watching his opponent fall off the highway with a sinister grin on his face. The roars of his dragons echoed in his mind as the boy collapsed to the ground, gasping for air.
"...I can't...I can't do this...I can't hurt anyone else..." Yuya uttered in sadness.
"Don't worry, Yuya..."
Yuya looked up to see his exhausted teammate on her feet, standing in front of him with her duel disk activated.
"Serena...?!"
"I understand that you've gone through a lot...I can take these guys on...don't worry..." Serena reassured her teammate.
"N-No...I can't let you go do this alone...I have to protect you...I won't fail you too!" Yuya shouted as he activated his duel disk.
"Finally, let your final duel begin!" An Obelisk Soldier with a yellow gem on his forehead shouted.

"My turn..." Yuya said as he nervously drew. As he looked at the card he had drawn, his eyes widened as it was none other then his ace monster, Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon. Yuya began to sweat as he thought about himself going berserk during his previous match. The boy began to heavily breathe as he thought about how he launched his opponent off of the track. "I...can't..."
"Yuya, snap out of it! We have to focus on winning!" Serena shouted at her teammate, causing him to snap back to reality.
"R-Right. With the Scale 2 Entermate Gong Cat and the Scale 6 Entermate Guitartle, I set the Pendulum Scale!" Yuya shouted as an orange cat with a blue gong for a body and a blue turtle with a guitar body appeared in the columns.

Yuya looked at his Pendulum Scale and then looked at his hand. He could Pendulum Summon Entermate Lizardraw and Trump Panda to trigger Double Bite Hound Dog's effect and place a counter on one of them. Then, he could release both monsters to Advance Summon Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon. And due to Odd Eyes' effect, he can inflict 2200 battle damage too his opponent. But when Yuya thought about using the dragon, the thoughts of what he had done began to raise through his head once more.
"With this, I can simultaneously summon monsters with levels 3 through 5. At this moment, Guitartle's effect allows me to draw a card since a card was placed in the Pendulum Zone." Yuya said as he unenthusiastically drew. "Swing Pendulum of my soul! Draw an arc of light across the ether! Pendulum Summon! Come forth, my monsters! From my hand, Entermate Lizardraw!"
One light shot out of the portal, revealing to be an orange lizard in a red suit.

"Pendulum Summoning only one monster..." Serena said in confusion.
"Double Bite Hound Dog's effect activates! Once per turn, when a monster is normal or special summoned, I can place an Acid Gear counter on that monster!" Obelisk Red shouted a gear flew forward and attached to the lizard.
"I...don't need Odd Eyes to win..." Yuya said to himself as he grabbed a card from his hand. "From my hand, I summon Entermate Pararhino!"
A small yellow rhino appeared that was carrying a red staff with an orange lightning bolt on top.

"Pararhino's effect activates! Once per turn, I can target a monster on your field and it's effects are negated. I target Double Bite Hound Dog!" Yuya pointed at the fusion as the rhino fired a lightning blast that paralyzed the monster.
"Now it's effect won't automatically destroy Yuya's monster when they battle!" Serena realized.
"It doesn't matter! My monster is still stronger then your pathetic monsters!" The soldier smirked.
"My Entermate monsters aren't pathetic...they are all I need to win! Pararhino's other effect! Once per turn, by targeting a monster on your field, I can special summon an Entermate from my hand! I target Double Bite Hound Dog! Come, Entermate Trump Panda!" Yuya shouted as a panda with a tuba appeared.

"And now, the targeted monster's ATK becomes equal to the summoned monster's ATK!" Yuya explained.
"What?!" The soldier shouted as his monster was weakened.

"Battle! Lizardraw, attack Double Bite Hound Dog!" Yuya commanded as his monster fired a small blast from it's rod that shot through the Fusion, causing the soldier to brace himself from the explosion.

"Go, Trump Panda! Direct Attack!" Yuya shouted as his monster released a powerful blast of sound from it's instrument which caused the soldier to slide a few feet backwards.

"Your turn, Pararhino! Direct Attack!" Yuya yelled as his monster shocked the Obelisk Red, causing him to kneel in pain.

"With that, I end my turn." Yuya concluded.
"Tch...you may have damaged me, but you left yourself vulnerable with those weak monsters on your field!"Obelisk Red shouted, causing Yuya to nervously grit his teeth.
Serena looked at Yuya and could tell he was purposely holding back. It didn't take much to figure out that Yuya had drawn his ace, which is why he was so fearful, and decided not to play it. Because of that, he wasn't able to inflict as much damage and left himself vulnerable.
"My turn! My turn! From my hand, I summon Antique Gear Hound Dog!" Obelisk Green shouted as the mechanical dog appeared.

"Hound Dog's effect activates! Once per turn, since you control a monster, you take 600 damage!" The soldier shouted as his monster fired a fire ball from it's mouth at Yuya, causing the boy brace himself.

"That means Action Cards are useless..." Yuya uttered in a worried tone.
"Battle! Triple Bite Hound Dog, attack Entermate Pararhino!" Obelisk Yellow commanded as his monster leaped forward.
"Entermate Trump Panda's effect activates! Once per turn, when an Entermate is attacked, that attack is negated!" Yuya countered.
"Second Attack! Attack Pararhino once more!" The soldier shouted as the monster charged forward once more and slashed through the rhino.
"Ghh..." Yuya grunted from the shockwave.

"Lizardraw's effect activates...when amonster I control is destroyed, I can draw cards equal to the amount of Entermate monsters on my field..." Yuya explained as he slowly drew two cards.
"Third Attack! Attack Trump Panda!" The soldier shouted as his monster bit the panda, causing it to explode.
"GAAH!" Yuya cried in pain as he was knocked through the air from the explosion.

"Yuya!" Serena shouted in concern as Yuya slowly got up.
"I'm fine..." Yuya told his teammate.
"Enjoy your final moments while you still can! I set a card facedown, turn end!" Obelisk Yellow concluded.
Despite being injured, Serena knew that Yuya was in much worse shape then herself due to his mental state. "I have to end this quickly...My turn!"
As Serena drew, she could feel sharp pain throughout her body, causing her to wince in pain.
"I activate the Spell Card, Fusion! Grr...I fuse Moonlight Blue Cat, Amethyst Bat, and Emerald Bird! Blue cat that prowls through the darkness! Beast that flies through the midnight sky! Emerald wings that shine in the moonlight! Fusion Summon! Come forth! Spiral into the moon's gravity and become a new power! Fusion Summon! Come forth! Level 9! Moonlight Sabre Dancer!" Serena shouted as a lady with purple skin that had yellow and pink clothing and yellow hair appeared. She had a orange crescent moon mask on her right eye and carried two sabers.

"Is that all?" Obelisk Yellow smirked.
"It's not over! I activate the Spell Card, New Moon Fusion! By banishing monsters monsters from my deck, I can Fusion Summon a Moonlight Fusion Monster!" Serena explained.
"Banishing monsters from the deck?!" Obelisk Red shouted in shock.
"I banish Moonlight Silver Swan, White Rabbit, and Black Sheep! Swan that flies through the air! White rabbit that's illuminated by the moonlight! Beast lurking in jet-black darkness! Spiral into the moon's gravity and become a new power! Fusion Summon! Come forth! Level 7! Sleek predator stalking the moonlit savannah! Moonlight Leopard Dancer!" Serena shouted a tan-skinned woman with dark spots on it's body appeared. The woman wore a red crescent moon mask over her right eye and wore a short red and cyan dress. She also carried a golden spear with silver blade.

"Yuya, pay attention. The ability to adapt to any situation and use different types of strategies to win...that's what I learned from you!" Serena shouted at the boy, trying to get him to rememberhis own dueling.
"Serena..." Yuya uttered as he remembered Leopard Dancer and all of Serena's other new Fusion monsters that she used in her previous duel. Was he really the one who influenced Serena's evolution?
"Your dueling inspires people, Yuya. It inspired me to go beyond my limits." Serena told her teammate before looking at her opponents. "Leopard Dancer's effect! Once per turn, I can return up to three banished Moonlight monsters to my graveyard. And for every monster returned, a card on your field is destroyed! I return Moonlight White Rabbit, Black Sheep, and Silver Swan to my graveyard to destroy Triple Bite Hound Dog and both of your set cards! Go, Moonlit Wave!"
The monster waved her spear through the air, launching a wave of Cyan energy at Obelisk Yellow's field.
"Counter Trap, Antique Gear Deflection! An effect that would destroy an Antique Gear monster on the field is negated!" Obelisk Red countered, protecting his teammate's cards.
"Damn it...I'll finish you off right now!" Serena shouted as she pointed at the defenseless Obelisk Red. "Battle! Leopard Dancer, Direct Attack-"
"Trap Activate! Fusion Dispersion! When an opponent's Fusion monster attacks, that monster is sent back to the Extra Deck and the Battle Phase ends! Also, it's Fusion materials are special summoned to your field and you take damage equal to the highest ATK of the summoned monsters!" Obelisk Red shouted with a malicious grin.
Serena's eyes widened as she remembered the Trap Card from her previous duel against the Obelisk Force back in stander.
"I've grown since the last time I dueled you people! I won't fall for this same trick again! Leopard Dancer's other effect activates! Once per turn, during the Battle Phase, the effect of a Spell or Trap Card is negated! Fusion Dispersion is negated! Lunar Strahl!"
Leopard Dancer pointed her spear high in the air and a beam of energy shot down from the night sky, destroying the Trap.
"Impossible!" Obelisk Red shouted in shock.
"Continuous Trap, Antique Gear Attraction activate! Due to this card's effect, you can only attack Antique Gear monsters as long as there is at least one Antique Gear monster on the field." Obelisk Yellow countered, drawing Serena's monster away from his defenseless teammate.
"Tch...Attack Triple Bite Hound Dog! Waxing Moonlight Waltz!" Serena's monster jumped high into night sky, gracefully twirling through the air. The monster descended downwards and slashed down on the mechanical hound with her glowing spear.
"I banish Antique Deflection to negate Triple Bite Hound Dog's destruction!" Obelisk Red shouted as a barrier formed around his teammate's monster.
"But you still take the damage!"

"Go, Sabre Dancer! Attack Triple Bite Hound Dog! Eclipse Slash!" Serena shouted as her monster slashed through the hound with its glimmering blade, causing a powerful explosion that sent the soldier flying backwards.

"You bitch...!" Obelisk Yellow grunted as he got off the ground.
"There's more where that's coming from! I set two cards facedown, turn end!" Serena shouted. As she concluded her turn, she felt a sharp pain once more throughout her body. "Grr...I have to hang on..."
"Serena!" Yuya cried.
"My turn! I'll end this duel right now! I activate the Spell Card, Double Imitation! With this card's effect, I can revive two Antqiue Gear monsters from any player's graveyard but with their effects negated! I special summon Antique Gear Triple Bite Hound Dog and Antique Gear Hound!" Obelisk Green shouted as the two hounds appeared on his field.

"GAAAAAH!" Serena and Yuya both shouted in pain as they were sent flying backwards from the blast.

"Ghh..." Yuya grunted. As he recovered from the blast, he saw Serena struggling to get off the ground.
"D-Damn it...I can't...give up..." Serena uttered in pain as she forced herself to her feet.
"Serena, are you ok?!" Yuya stepped towards her friend, but she put her hand upto stop him.
"I'm fine...focus on the duel..." Serena weakly said.
Yuya looked at the girl in concern before looking back at his grinning opponents.
"Ultimate Hound Dog can attack monsters up to three times per turn and you can't activate Spells or Traps when this card battled!" Obelisk Green explained with a sinister smirk. "Battle! Ultimate Hound Dog, attack Moonlight Leopard Dancer!"
The monster leaped forward and slashed through the Fusion monster, causing a shockwave that forced Serena to a knee.

"Oh no...!" Serena gasped in a horrified tone. She looked beside her and saw Yuya blankly staring at the incoming attack.
'...I failed Dad...Mom...and Yuzu...I ended someone's life...maybe I deserve this...' Yuya thought to himself in defeat as he looked down. The hound dog stood above the Entermate and prepared to sink it's fangs into the lizard.
"Yuya! You can't give up!" Serena shouted, causing Yuya's eyes to widen as he looked up.
'No! I may have failed them...but I can't afford to fail Serena! I can't give up!'
As Yuya steeled his resolve, he quickly grabbed a card in his hand.
"Entermate Barrier Balloon Tapir's effect activates in my hand! I discard this card to reduce the battle damage to 0!" Yuya shouted as a bubble barrier surrounded him, protecting him from the damage.
"Persistent bastard...I set two cards facedown, turn end!" Obelisk Green concluded.
"My turn! I activate the Spell Card, Antique Gear Blueprint! I can target an Antique Gear monster on the field and then I can draw a card for every 3 levels that monster has! I target the Level 10 Chaos Giant and draw three cards! I activate the Spell Card, Double Imitation! Come back, Antique Gear Hound Dog! Antique Gear Triple Bite Hound Dog!"

"...I...failed..." Yuya uttered, not being able to do anything to counter the attack.
The boy looked down in shame, bracing himself for defeat. But...the attack never hit him.
Yuya looked up to see a blueish green humanoid turtle in front of him, protecting him from the malicious Fusion monster.
"Moonlight Turquoise Turtle's effect activated in my hand...when an opponent declares a direct attack, I can special summon this card...and the attack is negated...!" Serena tiredly explained as her monster was currently

"Damn brat! I set a card facedown, turn end!" Obelisk Red concluded.
"Serena...you saved me...!" Yuya said as he looked at the injured girl.
"Of course I did, Yuya...we're friends..." Serena weakly smiled at the boy.
As Yuya looked at the injured girl, something snapped with him. By holding himself back, he was prolonging the duel and failing Serena. He swore to protect her...but he was too worried about his previous duel to actually do anything. These overwhelming feelings of stress weighed the boy down, causing his eyes to tear up.
' ...I'm a failure...'
Yuya motioned to put his goggles over his eyes, trying to cover up the tears that began to form in his eyes.
"Yuya!" Serena shouted at the boy.
"..." Yuya looked up at the girl in silence.
"I know how it feels to feel like a failure...when the Professor locked me away...I assumed it was because he thought I was too weak to fight for Academia. At times, I felt like there was nothing I could do to prove myself...and that anything I did wasn't good enough...You can't allow those feelings to consume you or else you will drown in despair!"
As Yuya heard the girl's words, he looked at his shaking hands. The boy closed his eyes and took a deep breath, causing the shaking to stop.
"Serena...you're right..." Yuya said as he removed his goggles from his eyes. "I can't give up...it isn't over!I won't fail anyone else! My turn, draw!"
As Yuya drew his card, he could hearing his dragon's roars, wanting to join the fight.
"I...can't afford to hold myself back. I will protect you, Serena!" Yuya declared in a determined tone.
"Yuya...!" Serena smiled.
"I activate the Spell Card, Pot of Riches! By shuffling Entermate Lizardraw, Entermate Trump Panda, and Entermate Pararhino in my Extra Deck into my deck...I can draw two cards!" Yuya shouted as he drew. "With the set scale, I can simultaneously summon monsters with levels 3 through 5! Pendulum Summon! From my hand, Entermate Drago Remora! Entermate Pendulum Magician! Entermate Drop Gallop!"
Along with Trump Panda and Lizardraw, a yellow dragon with a coin on it's head and a magician clad in red that held a blue pendulum appeared.

As the two monsters in the blue columns bursted, two cards popped out of Yuya's deck.
"Now...I release Entermate Drop Gallop and Entermate Pendulum Magician...to Advance Summon!" Yuya shouted with a hint of nervousness as his two monsters bursted into particles. Yuya's heart began beating a mile a minute as flashes of his previous duel flooded his mind.
"Yuya...take a deep breathe..." A voice said to the boy.
As Yuya took a deep, he began remembering all of the happy times he shared with his dragon. He remembered the first time he summoned his dragon and defeated Sledgehammer. He remembered entertaining the crowd with his trusty ace monster, causing the boy to smile. The boy then grabbed his ace monster in his hand and held it high in the air.
"Come forth! Level 7! Wondrous and beautiful dragon with dichromatic eyes! My favorite monster...Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon!" Yuya shouted as his red dragon with red and green eyes appeared on the battlefield with a powerful roar.

The red dragon looked back at it's owner and nodded his head, seemingly forgiving his owner.
"Thanks, buddy. Now, lets defeat these guys together!" Yuya shouted as his dragon let out another roar. "Let's go! I activate the Spell Card, Spiral Strike Burst! While I control an Odd Eyes monster, I can destroy a card on the field! Ultimate Hound Dog is destroyed! Do it, Odd Eyes!"
The Pendulum Dragon fired a powerful red blast that incinerated Obelisk Red's monster, causing a powerful explosion.
"Alright! Now I-"
"You just sealed your fate! Trap Activate! Antique Gear Reverse Fusion! When an Antique Gear leaves the field, I can target that monster and special summon a Fusion monster from my Extra Deck that lists the target as Fusion Material and it's treated as a Fusion Summon!" Obelisk Red shouted with a sinister smirk.
"W-What?!" Yuya stuttered in a terrified tone.
"That means...!" Serena trailed off as she realized what was coming.
"FUSION SUMMON! Come forth! Level 10! Antique Gear Chaos Giant!" Obelisk Red shouted as a flash of light covered the field. As the light dispersed the teens looked above in terror to see a gigantic mech with dark blue armor that resembled the Hound Dogs in shape.

"Congratulations, you single handedly just unleashed our most powerful monster!" Obelisk Red grinned.
"What an idiot!" Obelisk Yellow laughed.
"You have no hope!" Obelisk Green growled.
"On the contrary...with my friends by my side..." Yuya said as he looked at Serena and then Odd Eyes. "...I know we can win, no matter how bad things may seem! That's why I refuse to lose hope!"
"That's right! We won't give up so easily!" Serena smirked.
Odd Eyes also joined the two by letting out another roar.
"Let's do this! Drago Remora's effect! All Dragon-types on the field gain 500 ATK!"

"Let's go! Battle! Odd Eyes, attack Antique Gear Chaos Giant!" Yuya commanded as his dragon began charging up a fiery attack. "At this moment, Entermate Odd Eyes Unicorn's Pendulum effect activates! When an Odd Eyes monster declares an attack, it gains the ATK of an Entermate monster I control! Odd Eyes gains Drago Remora's 2600 ATK!"

"6-6000 ATK...?!" Obelisk Red uttered before shaking his head.
"Go, Spiral Strike Burst!" Yuya yelled as his monster fired a powerful red blast at the giant.
"E-Even so, I'll only take 1500 damage!" Obelisk Red shouted.
"When Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon battles a level 5 or higher monster, the damage is doubled!" Yuya shouted with a smile.
"That's 3000 damage!" Obelisk Red cried.
"Go, Reaction Force!" Yuya shouted as the giant was obliterated by the blast.
"GRAAAAH!" Obelisk Red yelled as he was sent flying through the air.

"Nice job, Odd Eyes." Yuya smiled at his dragon that roared in approval.
"You'll pay for that in blood!" Obelisk Green shouted at the boy.
"We'll see about that! I set a card facedown, turn end!"

Merge those ten heads, unleash chaos, and become tremendous strength! FUSION SUMMON! Come forth! Level 10! Antique Gear Chaos Giant!"
Another gigantic blue mech appeared on the field, causing a powerful shockwave that almost knocked the teens off their feet.

"Not another one...!" Yuya said he stared at the giant.
"Chaos Giant cannot be target and is unaffected by your Spells and Traps! Also, this card can attack all monsters you control once each!" Obelisk Yellow smirked before pointing at Yuya's field. "Battle! Chaos Giant, attack-"
"Trap Activate! Moonlight Battle! I target Moonlight Turquoise Turtle and you can't target other monsters for attacks until it's destroyed!"
"Then destroy that weakling! CRUSH OF DARKNESS!" Obelisk Yellow shouted as his monster crush Serena's monster.
"Grr..." Serena grunted from the shockwave. "At this moment, Sabre Dancer now gains 200 more ATK!"
Sabre Dancer (4400/2600)-(4600/2600)
"Sabre Dancer is stronger then Chaos Giant! Amazing!" Yuya cheered.
"Good try, but it's not enough! Chaos Giant, attack Moonlight Sabre Dancer! Chaos Giant's effect activates! When this monster attacks, all of your monster's effects are negated!" Obelisk Yellow grinned as Sabre Dancer powered down.
Sabre Dancer (4600/2600)-(3000/2600)
"No way!" Serena shouted.
"Our mission is complete! CRUSH OF DARKNESS!" Obelisk Yellow shouted as his monster lunged it's arm at Sabre Dancer.
"Turquoise Turtle's effect in the graveyard activates! By banishing this card, the damage I would take from a battle involving a Moonlight Fusion monster is reduced to 0!" Serena shouted as a turquoise barrier formed around her.
"Counter Trap, Antique Gear Rust! When a monster effect is activated while I control an Antique Gear monster, that effect is negated!" Obelisk Green countered.
Serena's eyes widened as the barrier that surrounded her shattered into pieces.
"HAHAHA!" Both Obelisk Force soldiers laughed.
"Soul Magician's effect activates in my hand! When a player would take battle damage, the damage is reduced to 0 and I can special summon this monster!" Yuya shouted as a magician clad in green robes appeared on the battle field.

The magician casted a spell and a magical green shield protected Serena from the damage.
"Yuya...you saved me...!" Serena weakly said.
"I'm only returning the favor." Yuya smiled at his teammate.
"You've interfered for the last time! You'll die right now! Go, Chaos Giant! Attack Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon!" Obelisk Yellow growled as his monster swung it's fist at Yuya and his ace. "At this moment, all monsters on your field have their effects negated!"

"Do it! CRUSH OF DARKNESS!" Obelisk Yellow screamed.
"YUYA!" Serena cried as Yuya was about to get crushed alongside his dragon.
Seeing that Yuya was in danger, Odd Eyes knocked Yuya out of Chaos Giant's range with it's tail.
"Odd Eyes!" Yuya cried. The dragon nodded at Yuya before being crushed.
"YOU HAVE LOST!" Obelisk Yellow roared as Yuya was about to get hit by the shockwave from the attack.
"Trap Activate! Defense Draw! The damage is reduced to 0!" Yuya countered as a barrier protected him.
"You bastard!" Obelisk Yellow growled.
"And due to my Trap's effect, I can draw a card from my deck!" Yuya explained as he placed his hand on the top card of his deck. Suddenly, Yuya heard the roar of Odd Eyes as his Pendulum shined. Yuya could see the blurry image of a new dragon with sharp blades protruding from his body. "I understand. This is your will to protect me, Odd Eyes. I'll use this new power to protect my friends and this dimension from Academia! DRAW!"
Yuya grinned as he looked at his new card before holding it high in the air.
"When Odd Eyes is destroyed, I can release two monsters on my field to Special Summon this monster!" Yuya shouted as Soul Magician and Drago Remora bursted into particles. "Sparkling dichroic eyes! Defy evil and protect your kin with your blades! Come forth! Level 8! Odd Eyes Lancer Dragon!"
The particles swirled into a circle of light and after a bright flash, a brand new dragon was revealed. The dichroic red dragon was now equipped with armor that had had large spikes protruding from it's center, knees, hands, head, and tail. The dragon had two blue orbs in the center of it's body. The dragon also had two large blade-like wings on it's back with red and green orbs on each respective wing.

"Amazing...!" Serena looked in awe at the new dragon.
"Summoning that dragon in ATK mode? Idiot! Go, Chaos Giant! Attack Odd Eyes Lancer Dragon-"
"That won't be happening! Odd Eyes Lancer Dragon's effect activates! When this card is summoned, I can send an Odd Eyes monster from my deck to the graveyard to negate the effects of a monster on your field! I send Odd Eyes Phantom Dragon from my deck to the graveyard to negate Chaos Giant's effects!" Yuya exclaimed as his dragon's eyes glowed.
"That means Chaos Giant can't use it's effect to attack every monster on the field!" Serena realized.
"Tch...I end my turn!" Obelisk Yellow concluded.
"Grr..." Serena grunted in pain as she tried standing tall.
"Serena, you got this. I believe in you!" Yuya smiled as his teammate.
"Right. Let's go! My turn! I activate the Spell Card, Full Moon Fusion! By banishing monsters in my graveyard, I can Fusion Summon a Moonlight monster! I banish Moonlight Leopard Dancer and Moonlight Blue Cat! Fusion Summon! Come to me, Level 8! Indomitable huntress ruling over the frozen wastelands! Moonlight Snow Leopard Dancer!" Serena chanted as a humanoid snow leopard leaped out of the vortex. She had bluish-tan skin and curly grey-white hair that falls over her right eye. She was wrapped in icy white and blue spotted furs and she had ice skates on her feet. She wielded a chakram which was a circular blade.
Moonlight Snow Leopard Dancer (2600/2200) LVL: 8
"Amazing...!" Yuya uttered in awe at the sight of Serena's new Fusion monster.
"Battle! Leopard Dancer, attack Antique Gear Chaos Giant! At this moment, Saber Dancer's effect in the graveyard activates! By banishing it, Snow Leopard Dancer gains 3000 ATK!"
Snow Leopard Dancer (2600/2200)-(5600/2200)
"What?!" Obelisk Green and Yellow both gasped.
"Go, Frozen Moon Rush!" Serena shouted as she pumped her fist through the air. Her monster became wrapped in a icy blue aura and split her chakram into two blades before skating across the battle field. She leaped high into the sky and slashed through the giant with her two blades, causing a powerful explosion.
"Trap Activate! Antique Gear Revenge Buster! The battle damage I would take from a battle involving an Antique Gear monster is reduced to 0! Then, you take damage equal to the damage I would have taken!"
"That's 1100 damage!" Yuya panicked.
"You walked right into my trap! You're finished!" Obelisk Yellow grinned as his trap fired a powerful yellow blast at the Moonlight user.
"I'm not the same straightforward duelist as I was back then! Do it, Snow Leopard Dancer!" Serena confidently commanded.
Her monster began skating in circles, creating a powerful twister. The yellow blast got caught in the twister and was launched high into the sky.
"How?!" Obelisk Yellow shouted in shock.
"Snow Leopard Dancer's effect prevents me from taking any effect damage. I anticipated that counter measure of yours which is why I chose to bring out this monster." Serena smirked.
"Serena's totally in control...incredible...!" Yuya smiled.
"Either way, you still failed to defeat me!" Obelisk Yellow growled.
"It's not over! At this moment, Snow Leopard Dancer's effect activates! When this card destroys another monster by battle, you take damage equal to it's ATK!" Serena explained with a confident smile.
"Eh?!" Obelisk Yellow gasped.
"Go, Winter Laceration!" Serena pointed at Obelisk Yellow as her monster split her two blades back into a chakram. The snow leopard began spinning on it's skates throwing and threw it's glowing circular blade at the soldier.
The glowing blade smashed into the Academia duelist, sending him flying backwards.
"GRAAAH!"
OBELISK YELLOW: 1000-0 LP
"Damn you!" Obelisk Green shouted.
"It's not over! Quick Play Spell, Moonlight Blitz! Since my Moonlight monster destroyed another monster by battle, my monster can attack once more!" Serena shouted.
"Huh?!" Obelisk Green gasped.
"Frozen Moon Rush!" Serena roared.
"Trap Activate! Antique Gear Wall! The damage I would take from a battle involving my Antique Gear monster is reduced to 0!"
The snow leopard skated forward while wrapped in a blue aura and slashed through the mechanical hound, but a wall of gears protected the soldier.
"But due to Snow Leopard Dancer's effect, you take damage equal to the destroyed monster's ATK! Winter Laceration!" Serena shouted as her monster threw it's glowing circle blade at the Academia duelist.
OBELISK GREEN: 4000-1000 LP
"Grr..." Obelisk Green grunted in pain.
"I end my turn!" Serena concluded.
Snow Leopard Dancer (5600/2200)-(2600/2200)
"This is the end...FOR BOTH OF YOU! MY TURN!" Obelisk Green shouted as he drew. "HAHAHA! I activate the Spell Card, Monster Reborn! Revive, Antique Gear Chaos Giant!"
In a bright flash of light, the giant returned from the fallen Obelisk Yellow's graveyard.

"Damn it..." Serena uttered in a worried tone.
"Chaos Giant can attack both of your monsters and their effects are negated when this card attacks! BATTLE! Chaos Giant, attack Moonlight Snow Leopard Dancer!" Obelisk Green commanded as Serena's eyes widened in fear.
"Trap Activate! Odd Eyes Aura! By targeting an Odd Eyes monster on my field, it's unaffected by card effects until the end of the turn! Meaning, Odd Eyes Lancer Dragon's effects are no longer negated! Also, monsters on the opponent's field can't attack any other monsters besides the target until the end of the turn!" Yuya shouted as the Giant was drawn towards the dragon.
"THIS IS THE LAST TIME YOU INTERFERE! DESTROY THAT DRAGON! CRUSH OF DARKNESS!" Obelisk Green shouted as his monster thrusted it's fist downward at the dragon.
"At this moment, Odd Eyes Lancer Dragon's effect activates! By returning an Odd Eyes monster I control to my hand, my dragon isn't destroyed by this battle and I don't take any damage! I return Entermate Odd Eyes Unicorn to my hand to protect my dragon!" Yuya countered as a yellow barrier formed around the red dragon, blocking the giant's fist.
"Your puny monsters are no match against our greatest monster! I end my turn!" Obelisk Green concluded.
"No matter how strong your monster is, the bond I share with Odd Eyes is stronger! My turn!" Yuya determinedly shouted as he drew. "I activate the Spell Card, Graceful Charity! I draw three cards and discard two! From my hand, I summon Entermate Odd Eyes Unicorn!"
A blue cartoonish unicorn with red and green eyes appeared next to Lancer Dragon.

"When this card is summoned, I can target an Entermate monster in my graveyard and I gain life points equal to it's ATK! I target the 1100 ATK Entermate Springoose!" Yuya explained as the unicorn's eyes glowed while he was enveloped in a green aura.

"With the Scale 3 Entermate Odd Eyes Phoenix, I set the Pendulum Scale!" Yuya shouted as the fiery phoenix appeared in the empty blue column.

"With this, I can simultaneously summon level 4 monsters! Pendulum Summon! Come forth, my monster! Entermate Swing Cobra!" Yuya shoutedas a yellow cobra on a trapeze appeared next to his dragon field.
Entermate Swing Cobra (300/1800) LVL: 4
"Haven't we been over this already? Your childish monsters are nothing compared to the might of Academia!" Obelisk Green growled.
"We'll see about that! Entermate Springoose's effect activates in the graveyard! By banishing this card, I return Entermate Odd Eyes Unicorn and Entermate Odd Eyes Light Phoenix to my hand!" Yuya explained.
"Yuya...what are you planning?" Serena questioned in a confused tone.
Yuya simply winked at the girl, signifying that he indeed had a plan. Yuya then turned to his evolved partner. The dragon looked back at it's owner and nodded at the boy.
"Right. Lets do this! Swing Cobra can attack the opponent directly through it's effect!" Yuya explained with a smirk.
"Huh?!"
"Battle! Swing Cobra, attack him directly!" Yuya smiled as his snake flew through the air and smacked the soldier with it's tail.
OBELISK GREEN: 1000-700 LP
"That's all you had planned? Pathetic!" Obelisk Green grimaced.
"Lets finish this, Odd Eyes! Battle! Odd Eyes Lancer Dragon, attack Antique Gear Chaos Giant!" Yuya explained as orange and yellow blades of energy protruded form the dragon's wings as it furiously roared.
"Eh?!" Obelisk Green shouted in shock. "If you want to be carded that badly, so be it! Counterattack!CRUSH OF DARKNESS!"
The dragon flew into the air as the giant thrusted it's fist downward. Lancer Dragon's blade on it's head and the fist collided.
"Odd Eyes Lancer Dragon's effect activates! When this monster battles, by discarding two Odd Eyes monsters from my hand, my dragon isn't destroyed and the damage is halved!" Yuya explained as he discarded Odd Eyes Unicorn and Odd Eyes Phoenix.
"Why even bother attacking?!" The soldier questioned.
"Due to Odd Eyes Lancer Dragon's effect...MY OPPONENT TAKES ANY DAMAGE THAT I WOULD TAKE!" Yuya shouted with a smirk.
"That's 750 damage!" Serena realized.
"D-Damn you...you coward!" Obelisk Green shouted in disbelief.
"Let's finish this, Odd Eyes! Retribution Force!" Yuya cried as his monster's red and green eyes shined. Yellow energy wrapped around the dragon before a powerful explosion of light occurred.
The bright explosion consumed the entire battlefield, knocking back both Yuya and the Obelisk Soldier.
But when the light dissipated, Yuya was still standing and the soldier was unconscious.

OBELISK GREEN: 700-0 LP
WINNER: YUYA and SERENA
The three Obelisk Force were sent back to the Fusion Dimension in a flash of light, leaving Yuya and Serena victorious.
"Thank you, Odd Eyes." Yuya whispered as his dragon faded away due to the duel ending.
"Of course...Yuya..."
Before he could react to the voice that he heard, he noticed Serena weakly walking over to him.
"Good work...Yu...ya..." Serena uttered before collapsing.
"Serena!"
Yuya quickly rushed over and caught the girl before she hit the ground.
"I'm sorry for needing your help. I shouldn't have let you duel. I should be protecting you." Yuya apologized.
"...We...are friends...and friends protect and help each other...you taught me that..." Serena weakly smiled at the boy.
Yuya stared at the girl for a brief moment before smiling.
"You are a great friend, Serena." Yuya softly said as he placed the exhausted girl on the back of his D-Wheel.
BA-BUMP
"Grr..." Yuya gripped his chest in pain as his heart skipped a beat.
He knew this feeling all too well. Yugo and Yuto weren't too far away. He felt himself being pulled to their location. If he could regroup with them, they would easily be able to fend off any of Academia's forces.
Although it seemed like a good idea to meet up with them, Yuya couldn't help but be hesitant. After what had just happened in his previous duel when he stole their power, he was a little nervous to see them again. And the fact that they have all been losing control recently didn't soothe his fears.
But even so, he knew that he couldn't protect Serena from hordes of the Obelisk Force by himself. And for all he knew, Yuto and Yugo could have regrouped with Shun, Sora, and Yuzu.
Yuzu.
He had to find her.
Yuya gritted his teeth before racing off towards the location of his counterparts.
"Yuya..." Serena uttered as her bracelet softly shined. Although it was subtle, something deep within the girl was trembling in fear as if...
...the end of the world was near.
Hey guys! The last few chapters have been pretty long so I decided to push the Sawatari and Masumi duel to the next chapter since I really wanted to post an update. And that chapter will not take a long time to come out since the duel is on the verge of completion though it may be another shorter chapter. Also, thanks to BladeWriter 3 for Moonlight Snow Panther Dancer and New Moon Fusion.
Speaking of that, I really can't believe it's been over 2 years! That's absolutely insane! Thank you all so much for the love and support you have given me. I will continue doing my best to get out updates no matter what life throws at me.
As for the duels, I wanted to give Reira some better opponents rather then have him duel some robotic Synchro Officers that aren't even Obelisk Force level. Hopefully I get to write more duels with Reira in the future because writing his deck is very fun.
With Yuya and Serena's duel, I've been pretty eager to have these two team up and now I finally get the chance. Yuya has helped Serena a lot in previous chapters so now it is her turn to help him. I wanted to show Yuya's trauma that has been developing ever since he began going berserk which has climaxed after his previous duel with Sergey. But after getting smack around and almost failing to protect Serena, Yuya breaks through and uses Odd Eyes. And his will to protect his weakened friend evolves Odd Eyes into it's defensive form, Odd Eyes Lancer Dragon.
I never really hated Odd Eyes Lancer Dragon, but I did think it was introduced kind of late in the series. Though I didn't initially plan on using this card this early, I figured it would be a pretty good opportunity and a helpful card for Yuya to have.
Anyways, Serena shows how much she's changed by outclassing the Obelisk Force while Yuya used his new dragon to end the match in there victory. I really wanted to go all in here with relating Serena's past conviction to prove herself and Yuya's lack of confidence in his dueling. This chapter was primarily for the character growth of Yuya, Serena, and Reira if you couldn't tell.

And the evil dragons are definitely going to be OP as they are Yuya's most powerful cards, but he won't really use them too often unless he is complete rage mode. Thank you!
Guest 01: I've been keeping up with Duel Links and Master Duel, which I'm honestly surprised with myself. I just starting using a Utopia deck with the new support that was released in duel links and although it started out as just for fun, I've been rank pushing in competitive which I really didn't expect. ZEXAL really is OP after all, just like in the anime. And Yuya abusing his connections with his counterparts will cause some conflict later on. Thanks!

way2dumb2live: I appreciate all of these reviews and I'm very glad you've been enjoying my story so far. As for your thoughts on Reiji, the reason why I had him act the way he pushed Yuya even further then in cannon was because this Yuya has so much more potential. At this point in the story, because of how I'm treating Pendulum summoning as a bridge between summoning methods, Yuya already had access to all of the summoning methods which somewhat threatened Reiji. Despite duelists such as Yuto and Shun being stronger, Yuya has the potential to become one of the most powerful duelists of all time. So, he made up a situation to push Yuya to his limits so he could defeat Yuya at his best to motivate him. And the best way he knew of to push Yuya was to involve his loved ones. And due to Reiji's top dog sort of nature, he wanted to cement himself at the top by defeating the duelist with nearly infinite potential. I would go further into Reiji's thoughts on the matter but all will be addressed in 4 chapters give or take. Once again, I appreciate the time you have taken to write these reviews and I will continue to do my best to satisfy you and all other readers. But as for Reiji, all I can ask is for you to stay patient for a few more chapters so you can see what this has all been leading towards.

And honestly, I wasn't exactly thinking about the dichroic-berserk!Yuya until I started writing and I realized how well that would work with the story. This form will be Yuya's "strongest" berserk form...until he fully gains a pair of yellow eyes later on. And just to clarify, Yuto and Yugo have a good understanding of what happened with Yuya basically taking their power. Final Update: I'm planning on adding more duel(s) to the chapter, I'm just not sure what yet lol. We'll see how long the duel ends up being. The advertised duels Yuto vs Yugo vs Yuri, Yuzu/Serena vs Ruri/Rin, and Yuya vs Barrett will all be coming within the next 2-3 updates with Reiji vs Kaiser following. After that, the tournament will conclude. And after that, the Roget vs Lancers mini arc will be the finale of the Synchro arc and Season 3/Xyz Arc will begin!
