Yuzu and Serena blinked as they heard the mysterious yet strangely familiar voice speak to them.
"What's wrong? Getting nervous already?" Rin taunted.
"No...we are going to save you! For Yugo, Yuto, and Kurosaki!" Yuzu yelled.
"...I will make up for fighting for Academia in the past by freeing you from their control!" Serena shouted.
"It's nice to see the strength of your resolve. You'll become excellent soldiers of the Academia soon enough!" Ruri grinned.
"Why you-" Serena growled before the controlled counterparts smiled and to ran away.
"Why are they running?" Yuzu asked.
"They're trying to separate you guys from us so we can't help you!" Sora explained as the Obelisk Soldiers approached.
"As much as I don't want to do it...we need to split up." Yuzu said, surprising the other three.
"Then you'll just be falling into their trap!" Sora argued.
"I know it's risky, but we need to save Ruri and Rin. This may be our only chance." Yuzu told her teacher.
"But Yuzu...I can't let you just risk yourself like that...I promised Yuya I would keep you safe from Academia..." Sora said in sadness.
"I know you and Yuya care about me, but Ruri and Rin have people who care about them too. Yugo, Yuto, and Kurosaki deserve to have their loved ones back." Yuzu explained as she put her hands on the blue haired boy's shoulder.
Sora looked his student in the eyes for a moment before smiling.
"I'm so proud of you, Yuzu. Just make sure you put your elbows into it when you Fusion Summon." Sora smirked as he brought his hands together.
Yuzu smiled as she mimicked her teacher before turning to Reira.
"Reira, I'm sorry to ask you this but-"
"I-I'll help Sora buy as much time as you need. You can count on me, Yuzu." Reira determinedly said.
"Thank you for everything, Reira." Yuzu gratefully said to the boy before turning to her counterpart.
"We'll keep these guys from interfering." Sora said before he and Reira faced the soldiers. "Good luck, Yuzu, Serena."
"Thanks. Are you with me, Serena?" Yuzu asked.
"Always. Let's go!" Serena shouted as the two fist bumped before running off as their bracelets faintly shined.

… the screen falls to reveal the Fusion Counterparts falling into darkness. Yuri grins wickedly as his eyes are whited out by a violet glow. Behind him is the shadow of an older boy, face obscured with a monstruous, inhuman smile on his face. Above him, Serena holds out her hand, desperately trying to reach her former friend. The gem on her bracelet shines like a star, cutting through the miasma that surrounds them. Behind her is the golden spirit of an older girl, trying to reach out to the figure behind Yuri as tears flow. The older teens vanish as the Fusion Counterparts' silhouettes turn to black and a large, sinister pair of draconic eyes open wide behind them.

The Ending Of This Story
Yuri stands in a dark tunnel with a monstrous grin with Starve Venom and Greedy Venom behind him. To his sides are Ruri and Rin with soulless eyes. Behind the girls are Independent Nightingale and Crystal Bell respectively.
I Will Hold It Close As I Wonder So Aimlessly
Yuto and Yugo closely race next to each other on the highway as Dark Rebellion and Clear Wing flew through the sky. Yuto slaps a card on his duel disk causing Dark Rebellion to be consumed by flames and evolve into Dark Rebellion Apocalypse. Yugo throws a card on his duel disk and reaches his hand out to the sky as Clear Wing shined and evolved into Crystal Wing. The two dragons fly at each other full force as and smash their heads against each other as Yuto and Yugo yell with glowing indigo and cyan eyes.
Into This New World
The scene changes to Yuya standing beneath a blue landscape. A pendulum swings above him, draw arcs of light across the sky. Yusho's face is shown over the center of the arcs, smiling down at his son with pride.

The screen flashes to Reiji with D/D/D Hell Armageddon on his field sternly standing in front of the laughing Hell Kaiser with the roaring Cyber End Dragon. The scene changes to a worn out Serena and Yuzu kneeling in front of the soulless Rin and Ruri, with the silhouette of Parasite Fusioner behind them. The scene shifts again to Yuya, Yuto, Yugo, and Yuri standing across from each other with glowing eyes and spiked up hair as their dragons roared. The four dragons crash against each other causing a bright light to engulf the screen. The song ends with a shot of the Lancers on the highway in the Synchro Dimension looking up at the screen with the three Yu-boys in the center, each sharing a look of determination.
In Academia
The Professor stood in a laboratory in front of many scientist. Although you wouldn't be able to tell due to his serious manner, the man was incredibly nervous.
The leader of Academia anxiously looked at two screens that displayed Ruri and Rin respectively running through a subway in the Synchro Dimension.
Although he would love nothing more to keep Ruri and Rin locked away to ensure his goal, he needed to begin taking more drastic measures. He knew how Yuzu and Serena's strength has been exponentially growing as of recent events. And the stronger they become, the harder it will be to capture them.
Ruri and Rin were the perfect counters to Yuzu and Serena due to their conflicting strategies. Their strength was also increasing throughout the time they were training in Academia. And with the added power of the parasites, they were even surpassing some of the elites. And even if they were somehow to lose, the instant return system in their duel disks would activate and bring them back.
"I reassure you that our little experiment will go according to plan. My soldiers will defeat anyone in their path." The Doktor spoke with a sinister grin.
The Professor remained silent as he stared at the screen. Despite all of the reassurances and precautions he was taking, he still didn't want to take such a risk. But due to current circumstances, he wasn't being given much of an option.
His spies have also reported the continuous growth of the counterparts of the demon duelist which greatly scared the man. He had ordered several of his elites to deal with them but all of their attempts failed. He has seen the footage of the berserk counterparts from his soldiers unleashing their inner darkness. Their growing darkness was put the Professor's plans on a time limit. He needed to merge his daughter's fragments before the demon duelist was revived. Once he was reunited with his daughters, they could use the power of the bracelets to exterminate the threat. But if he failed, the end of the world would occur. That's why he had to take such risks.
He will see his daughter again, no matter the cost.
With Yuzu and Serena
"We're getting close, I can feel it." Yuzu said as the two ran.
"So can I..." Serena said with a hint of nervousness.
"What's wrong, Serena?" Yuzu asked.
"...Yuzu...if things don't go our way...I want you to know that I appreciate you believing in me and giving me a second chance despite our first encounter...if it wasn't for you and Yuto back in Standard...I might still be blindly serving someone who resorts to brainwashing..." Serena said as she looked down in shame.
"You can't blame yourself, Serena. You had no idea about any of this." Yuzu told the girl.
"...I will make up for my past mistakes." Serena promised as she looked up at Yuzu.
Yuzu noticed the girl's resolve and nodded with a smile on her face.
"Right. And I'll keep the promise I made to my teammates. We will save Ruri and Rin." Yuzu confidently said.
"I wouldn't speak so soon."
"After all, you won't be fulfilling that promise."
The two girls looked forward to see Ruri and Rin waiting for them with sinister grins on their faces.
Without saying anything further, the two activated their Academia duel disks which both had purple sword-shaped blades.
"It's time, Yuzu. Are you ready?" Serena asked the pink haired girl.
Yuzu briefly closed her eyes and took a deep breath. Possibly the biggest duel of her life so far was about to begin. After exhaling, Yuzu opened her eyes with a fiery look of determination.
"Yeah. Let's go, Serena!" Yuzu shouted as the two activated their duel disks.
"DUEL!"

The green haired girl's ace fired another stream of wind that knocked Yuzu back.

"Grr..." Yuzu grunted in pain as she regained her composure.
"I set a card facedown, turn end!" Rin concluded.
"Damn it...she's already dealt a considerable amount of damage to me without attacking...this is going to be tough..." Yuzu nervously said.
"But we'll pull through no matter what! My turn! I activate the Spell Card, Fusion! I fuse Moonlight Purple Butterfly and Moonlight Black Sheep! Butterfly with violet poison! Beast lurking in jet-black darkness! Spiral into the moon's gravity and become a new power! Fusion Summon! Come forth! Level 7! Beautiful beast that dances in the moonlight! Moonlight Cat Dancer!" Serena chanted as her ace monster appeared that had pink hair and two different masks covering her eyes. She carried two long daggers and was wearing light blue clothing.

With their four ace monsters on the field at the same time, the bracelets of the four girls began to faintly glow. But due to the seriousness of the duel, none of them noticed.
"Black Sheep's effect activates! When used as material for a Fusion Summon, I can add this card from my graveyard to my hand! And then I'll summon it!" Serena shouted as the humanoid sheep in black clothing appeared.

As Serena commanded her monster to attack, the beast-warrior leaped forward towards the winged-beast.
"The first time Cat Dancer attacks your monster, it won't be destroyed! But you still take the damage!"
"Assembly Nightingale's effect activates! By using an overlay unit, I don't take the battle damage!"

"Second attack! Full Moon Burst!" Serena shouted as her monster waved her arms in a circular motion before firing a large cyan blast at the Xyz monster.

"We'll see about that! My turn!" Ruri shouted with a devious grin as she drew. "I activate the Spell Card, Graceful Charity! I draw three cards and then discard two! Now, I activate the Spell Card, Overlay Regen! By targeting an Xyz monster on my field, I can attach this card to it as an overlay unit!I target Assembly Nightingale!"

"That's four attacks!" Serena realized.
"Battle! Assembly Nightingale, attack her directly!Aerial Dance - Continuous Attack!" Ruri commanded as she pointed at Serena. The monster flapped it's wings, creating a force of wind that hit Serena.

Another force of wind hit Serena, knocking her back a few feet.

"..." Ruri's eyes slightly twitched at the sound of her brother being mentioned.
"Don't forget about Yuto either! He's fought so hard to find you! Academia destroyed your homeland! You can't let them control you!" Serena shouted, invoking a similar reaction.
"And Rin, don't you want to reunite with Yugo? He would never approve of you fighting on the side of Academia!" Yuzu shouted, causing Rin to close her eyes for a brief moment.
"...My brother and Yuto were weak and so was the rest of my home dimension!" Ruri shouted with her soulless eyes glaring at her opponents.
"...And I was saved from a life of poverty in this garbage dimension! Yugo was nothing but a fool!" Rin yelled with a similar look in her eyes.
"Grr...I will snap you both back to reality by winning this duel...for Kurosaki, Yuto, and Yugo! My turn, draw!" Yuzu shouted as she drew. "Alright! From my hand, I summon Soprano the Melodious Songstress!"

"That won't work! Continuous Trap, Wind Witch Aura activate! By targeting a Wind Witch monster on my field, it cannot be destroyed by battle or card effect once per turn! I target Winter Bell!" Rin shouted as her monster was surrounded by green wind-like energy. "That's not all! Wind Witch Aura's other effect activates! Once per turn, when I would take effect damage, the target gains ATK equal to the amount of damage instead!"
The witch consumed the green wind produced by the fairy-type's singing, causing the energy circling it to glow brighter then before.

"No way...!" Yuzu gasped at the sight of the short haired girl's perfect counter. "Tch...Bloom Prima can make two attacks per Battle Phase! Attack Assembly Nightingale! Harmonic Sound Wave!"
The monster sang a tune, causing blue sound waves to echo from the flowers on her shoulders.
"Assembly Nightingale's effect! By using an overlay unit, my monster isn't destroy and I don't take any damage!" Ruri countered.

Serena shouted as a lady with purple skin that had yellow and pink clothing and yellow hair appeared. She had a orange crescent moon mask on her right eye and carried two sabers.

She had purple and pink clothing and had short dark hair that covered her eyes. She also had red blades attached to her hands.

"I won't let the Professor enslave anyone else! From my hand, I summon Moonlight Kaleido Chick!" Serena shouted as a small yellow humanoid chick appeared.

She had dark blue skin and had light blue hair. The Fusion Monster had red and golden clothing and carried a large sword that had a golden handle.

"But you still take the damage!" Serena yelled as her monster's blade clashed against the witch, causing a shockwave that knocked back Rin.

Ruri countered as her monster flew in front of Rin, causing it to be slashed in half by Lio Dancer. "Then, I can draw one card since my monster had one overlay unit when it was released!"
"Tch...I end my turn!" Serena shouted.
"You managed to establish quite the field." Ruri shouted as she looked at Yuzu's four monsters and Serena's strongest monster.
"We aren't holding anything back! We won't fall into the clutches of that madman!" Serena shouted.
"And we will break you free from back from Academia's control!" Yuzu exclaimed.
The two controlled girls stayed silent for a brief moment before sinisterly smiling at each other.
"Should we show them our true power?" Ruri questioned.
"I think they've proven worthy to see the brilliance of the Doktor." Rin answered.
Ruri nodded before turning to her opponent's with a devious look on her face.
"This is the beginning of the end for you! My turn! I activate the Spell Card, Aerial Draw! By banishing two winged-beast monsters in my graveyard, I can draw two cards! I banish Baryl Canary and Celeste Wagtail to draw two! Next, I activate the Spell Card, Re-Xyz! "...How disgusting...!" Serena gasped in a terrified tone. How could she want to impress a man that wanted to eventually put a parasite in her brain.
"...If that's the case...we'll save you, Ruri, Rin! We won't let you be controlled by those bugs any longer!" Yuzu determinedly shouted.
"The power of the Doktor is too strong to be stopped by the likes of you! When Parasite Fusioner is summoned, I can perform a Fusion Summon using it as a substitute for one of the materials!" Ruri shouted as the two monsters rose in the Fusion Vortex. "Song of the night bird singing through the night! Become one with the inner voice and let your cry echo louder! FUSION SUMMON! Come forth! "Independent Nightingale gains a level for each of the Overlay units her fusion material had and then gains ATK equal to her level times 500!" Ruri explained with a devilish grin.

"Grr..." Ruri grunted in anger.

Her monster turned around and began conducting the Melodious monsters on the field along with the spirits of the fallen monsters, causing them to release a wave of music that greatly weakened the winged-beast.

The blast hit it's target, causing a powerful explosion that knocked Ruri backwards and left a screen of smoke on the field.

"Not so fast!" Ruri shouted as the smoke cleared revealing her fusion monster to still be on the field.
"What?!" Yuzu gasped in shock.
"By sending Parasite Fusioner to the graveyard, Independent Nightingale's destruction was negated!" Ruri explained as Yuzu noticed that the bug was no longer attached to the fusion monster.
'But it's still weaker then the rest of my monsters! And Bloom Prima can attack twice per turn! I can still attack destroy her monster and finish Ruri off with Bloom Prima's second attack. Then, all I have to do is attack Rin directly with my remaining two monsters and-'
"Trap Activate! Parasite Guard Since a Parasite Fusioner was sent to the graveyard, I can end the Battle Phase!" Ruri countered, causing Yuzu's eyes to widen in disbelief.
"N-No...victory was so close...!" Yuzu uttered in disappointment.
"That's what you get for thinking you could actually win!" Ruri grinned.

"Yuzu!" Serena shouted in fear.
"Melodious Sound Off's effect in the graveyard activates! By banishing this card and a Melodious monster special summon from the Extra Deck, an instance of battle or effect damage is halved! I banish Bloom Lorin!" Yuzu shouted as the spirit of the monster took on two of the blasts while the last one knocked Yuzu through the air.

Serena looked at the amount of determination Yuzu had as she stood her ground.

The pendulum version of Cat Dancer appeared that wore a indigo colored dress with red highlights and carried two whips.

"BATTLE! Go, Wildcat Dancer! Attack Lyrical Luscinia Independent Nightingale! At this moment, Wildcat Dancer's effect activates! Your monster's ATK is halved!" Serena yelled as the warrior swung one of her whips through the air which wrapped around the winged-beast.

The hybrid monster then struck the humanoid bird with it's second whip, causing a shockwave that knocked Ruri backwards.

Rin shouted as her monster mimicked the Melodious monster, creating a whirlwind of green wind.
"Oh no! Serena!" Yuzu cried.
"Quick Play Spell, Moonlight Shadow Step activate! When a monster activates it's effect while battling a Moonlight monster, that monster's effects are negated until the end of the turn!" Serena countered.
"What?!" Rin gasped as the green whirlwind subsided.
"Take this!" Serena shouted as her monster struck the witch with her whip.

"Moonlight Turquoise Turtle's effect activates in my hand! When my opponent declares a direct attack, I can negate the attack and special summon this card!" Serena shouted as a turquoise humanoid turtle appeared on her field and blocked the attack with a turquoise barrier.

The tall woman had long and curly maroon hair. She was dressed in a long purple dress that was pink towards the bottom. She had light pink skin and sky blue eyes. She carried a golden baton in her right hand and a sheet of music in her left hand.

"It doesn't matter...she only has 900 life points left...and this attack will deal 1000 damage!" Serena realized with a smile.
"BATTLE! Meisterin Beethoven, attack Independent Nightingale!" Yuzu shouted as her monster sang, causing it to be wrapped in beautiful purple energy.
"Finish her off, Yuzu!" Serena yelled.
"Do it! DIVINE SYMPHONY!" Yuzu shouted as her monster sang, releasing a powerful wave of purple energy towards the Lyrical Luscinia monster.
"Grr...Trap Activate! Lyrical Luscinia Healing Dance! I gain 300 life points for each level 1 Lyrical Luscinia monster in my graveyard! There are a total of five!" Ruri shouted as the spirits of the small winged-beasts appeared around her.

I target Crystal Bell!" Yuzu shouted as Prodigy Mozart and Meisterin Beethoven sang, creating a wave of energy that consumed Crystal Bell.
"Tch...your really are persistent..." Rin clicked her tongue in annoyance.
"We won't stop fighting until you both are freed from the clutches of those filthy parasites!" Yuzu shouted.
"...That won't happen...the Doktor's creations are too strong..." Rin uttered as her lips curved into a threatening grin. "I will show you their full power! From my hand, I summon Parasite Fusioner!"

"A-Another Fusion?!" Yuzu gasped in shock.
"The ominous winds of the witch residing in the darkness! Become one with the inner voice and revive as a new power! FUSION SUMMON! Reign now! Level 8! The Queen rooted in reason! Parasite Queen!" Rin shouted as a large in terrifying parasite appeared. It had green and orange skin with an indigo shell with red markings. The disgusting monster let out a vicious roar as Rin and Ruri maliciously grinned.

"This dark energy..." Serena uttered as the pressure being exerted from this horrible monster could be felt by the two girls.
Yuzu and Serena's blinked, causing them to see a dark aura surrounding the large parasite. The dark aura was spreading onto Ruri and Rin, corrupting them and weakening the light inside of them.
The two girls snapped out of their trance, causing them to both take step back and shake their heads.
"W-What was that just now...?" Yuzu uttered, referring to the sudden vision.
"...I think...we were just given some kind of warning..." Serena answered as she briefly looked at her bracelet before turning to Yuzu.
"...I-It looked like that thing is connected to the parasites that are controlling them and it's presence on the field is making the parasites stronger..." Yuzu said as she fearfully looked at the controlled girls.
"So maybe our bracelets were trying to warn us that we need to defeat that thing...or Ruri and Rin might be lost forever...!" Serena realized as sweat formed on her forehead.
"We've come so far...we have to save them!" Yuzu determinedly shouted.
"We don't need saving! Due to Parasite Plant's effect, all copies Parasite Fusioner in the graveyard are equipped to Parasite Queen!" Rin explained as the three parasites latched onto the large monster. "That's not all! Parasite Queen gains 300 ATK for each Parasite Fusioner on the field!"

"GO!" Serena screamed as her monster lunged her whip forward, restraining the large parasite.
As the large monster struggled, Rin sinisterly grinned.
"Due to Parasite Plant's effect...Parasite Queen is unaffected by card effects!" Rin declared, shocking Serena and Yuzu.
"It can't be!" Serena shouted.
"That means Parasite Queen is still stronger then your pathetic monster!" Ruri laughed.
"It doesn't end there! Parasite Queen's effect activates! When an opponent's monster attacks, I can equip a Parasite Fusioner equipped to Parasite Queen onto the attacking monster! And through Parasite Queen's other effect, all other monsters on the field lose 800 ATK for each Parasite Fusioner equipped to them!" Rin shouted as one of the parasites leached onto the hybrid monster and drained it's energy.

"That's 1100 damage...and Serena has exactly 1100 life points...!" Yuzu gasped in disbelief.
"So this is what you were planning..." Serena grunted in anger as it was too late to recall her attack.
"This is the end for you! SCORCHING ACID!" Rin roared as her monster fired purple acid at the incoming hybrid monster.
"But unfortunately for you, there is still a way I can stop my attack! Moonlight Pink Mouse's effect! I can banish this card to change the battle position of a Moonlight monster on my field! I change Wildcat Dancer to defense mode!"
The beast-warrior leaped backwards, dodging the blast of acid and protectively stood in front of Serena with her arms crossed.

"What?!" Yuzu gasped.
"Go, Scorching Acid!" Ruri commanded as the Pendulum monster was burned alive by the acid causing a powerful explosion.
"GAAAH!" Yuzu cried as a splash of acid burned her leg.

"But by sending Parasite Fusioner to the graveyard, Wildcat's destruction is negated...!" Serena yelled.
"But you still take the damage!"
"ACK!" Serena gasped for air as the force of the attack knocked her to the ground.

"Tch...you're only delaying the inevitable!" Ruri clicked her tongue in annoyance.
"With the set scale, Pendulum Summon! Return from the Extra Deck, Prodigy Mozart the Melodious Maestra!"

There are currently seven so that's 1400 damage! THIS IS THE END FOR YOU!" Rin screamed as a wave of purple venom towered above Serena.
"You won't defeat me! Counter Trap, Fusion Guard activate! An effect that would inflict damage to me is negated and I randomly send a Fusion monster from my Extra Deck to my graveyard!" Serena countered as Moonlight Snow Leopard Dancer was sent to the graveyard.
"Alright!" Yuzu shouted in relief.
"Tch...I end my turn!" Rin concluded.
"This is it...I will get rid of those filthy pests right now! I will make up for believing in the Professor's lies!" Serena declared.
"Serena..." Yuzu uttered as she noticed the regret in the girl's voice.
"What can you do? Our monster has 5400 ATK and it's unaffected by card effects thanks to Parasite Plant. Also, it has four Parasite Fusioners attached meaning it can negate destruction four times. Not only that, Parasite Generator prevents the Parasite monsters on my field from being destroyed!No matter what you do, you can't win!" Ruri said with an evil smirk.
"Things may look impossible, but I can't give up. A friend of mine told me that if I duel with all of my heart, then everything will be ok!" Serena determinedly shouted as her bracelet shined.
"Yuya..." Yuzu said under her breath. It seemed like the tomato haired boy really did help Serena grow.
"I'll place all of my hopes on this draw! My...TURN!" Serena shouted as she powerfully drew. "This is it! I activate the Spell Card, Full Moon Fusion! While my opponent controls a monster special summoned from the extra deck while I control no monsters, I can Fusion Summon by banishing Moonlight monsters on my field, in my hand, or graveyard! I banish Moonlight Panther Dancer, White Rabbit, and Black Sheep in my graveyard!"
"But she's already summoned Lio Dancer...could it be a new monster...?" Yuzu uttered as she noticed the faint glow in Serena's Extra Deck.
"Elegant beast dancing on the moonlit wilderness! Beast lurking in jet-black darkness! White rabbit illuminated by the moonlight! Clash against each other under the crimson moonlight, and revive with a new power! FUSION SUMMON! Come to me, Level 10! Ruthless huntress dancing atop the blood moon's zenith! Moonlight Tigress Dancer!"
The new monster was a female humanoid tiger. She had orange skin with black stripes, golden eyes, and black hair tied in a bun. She wore a scarlet and orange indian dancer's outfit with bronze embroidery. She had a red moon spot on her forehead and moon-shaped jewelry. She had golden ring on her tail and carried a double-sided halberd with scarlet curved edges.

"Trying to weaken Parasite Queen by attacking our other parasites, eh? It won't work! Continuous Trap, Parasite Allure! You can't attack level 1 Parasite monsters as long as I control Parasite Queen!" Ruri countered.
"Fine! Tigress Dancer, attack Parasite Queen!" Serena shouted as her monster gracefully leaped forward.
"Make her pay for her foolishness, Parasite Queen! Counterattack! SCORCHING ACID!" Rin screamed as her monster fired a powerful blast of acid.
"Continuous Trap, Moonlight Crescent Shield activate! By equipping this card to Tigress Dancer, she can't be destroyed by battle once per turn!" Serena shouted as a yellow crescent moon energy shield appeared in front of her monster.
"But you still take the damage!" Rin roared as the acid was deflected off the shield, causing some of it to fly towards Serena.
"Moonlight Turquoise Turtle's effect in the graveyard activates! By banishing this card, the damage I would take from a battle involving a Moonlight monster is reduced to 0!" Serena yelled as a turquoise barrier appeared around her, protecting her from the acid.
"So that was your big plan?" Rin taunted.
"...Heh..." Serena let out a small chuckle as a grin formed on her face. "...Don't worry...the fun has just begun!"
Yuzu blinked as Serena yelled her and Yuya's catchphrase.
"What are you on about?!" Ruri questioned.
"Moonlight Tigress Dancer's effect! After this monster attacks...ALL SPELLS AND TRAPS ON YOUR FIELD ARE DESTROYED!" Serena roared as her monsters blades gains a bright red glow. "You're Parasite Generator can't protect the Parasite monsters in your Spell/Trap Card zones!"
"No way..." Rin's eyes widened in horror.
"Go, Blood Moon Dance!" Serena commanded as her monster began to graceful spin, releasing red energy slashes as she swung her blade.
The strikes of red energy slashed through the four parasites equipped to Parasite Queen. They also destroyed Parasite Attraction, Parasite Plant, Parasite Generator, and Parasite Allure.
"With there now only being two Parasite Fusioners on the field and with them no longer counting as two monsters...you're monster loses 3000 ATK!" Serena said with a smirk.
Parasite Queen (5400/1800)-(2400/1800)
"T-This can't be happening...!" Rin gasped.
"How could she have reduced our monster to such a state despite everything...?" Ruri questioned in disbelief.
"I've learned that being able to adapt and overcome situation during a duel is the real meaning of being a strong duelist, not just summoning powerful monsters!" Serena shouted.
"You really have gotten even stronger, Serena! Yuya really was a good influence." Yuzu smiled.
"I'll make him proud by keeping you away from the Professor, Yuzu." Serena told the girl before turning to her opponents. "That's not all! Tigress Dancer can attack twice! Attack Parasite Queen once more! Crimson Moonlight Slash!"
The beast-warrior leaped forward as she spun her halberd before slashing down the middle of the large parasite, causing a powerful explosion that sent Rin flying through the air.
"GAAH!"
RIN: 1400-300 LP
"Alright! Without that disgusting monster, you have nothing left to fight with! I set two cards facedown, turn end!" Serena concluded as her monster returned to her side.
"...You really...think you've won...?" Ruri coldly asked as she gripped the top card of her deck. "You will pay...for destroying the Doktor's beautiful creations! MY TURN!"
As Ruri drew, a chill went down Yuzu and Serena's spine as their bracelets softly glowed once more.
"What could she have left...?" Serena uttered in confusion as she couldn't shake this feeling of something coming.
"I activate the Spell Card, Parasite Uprising! I can special summon a Parasite monster from either player's graveyard to my field!" Ruri shouted as she slammed the card into her duel disk. Suddenly, the ground beneath them opened up before the large parasite crawled out.
Parasite Queen (1800/1800) LVL: 8
"It's back...!" Yuzu gasped.
"Since Rin and I both control a Parasite Fusioner on each of our fields, Parasite Queen gains 600 ATK!"
Parasite Queen (1800/1800)-(2400/1800)
"That's not all! I activate the Spell Card, Parasite Fusion! I can perform a Fusion Summon using Parasite monsters on any player's field!" Ruri explained with a demonic grin.
"She's fusing the parasites together?!" Serena's eyes widened.
"I fuse Parasite Queen and Parasite Fusioner on my field with the Parasite Fusioner on Rin's field! Creatures of control, become one with the ruler of parasites and force everything to succumb to the inner voice! FUSION SUMMON! Reign disaster! Level 10! The true ruler of the legion! PARASITE KING!" Ruri roared. A very large and horrifying looking parasite appeared. It had purple and green skin and a blood red shell with green markings. The horrid monster let out a powerful roar, which shook the ground beneath the four girls.
Parasite King (2800/2800) LVL: 10
Their bracelets began to shine once more as Yuzu and Serena saw the darkness surrounding Ruri and Rin growing stronger.
"We're running out of time!" Yuzu fearfully shouted.
"Now, my Parasite Fusioners are equipped to Parasite King through their effects-"
"Not happening! Trap Activate! Moonlight Arrows! By targeting a Moonlight Fusion monster, I can destroy Spells and Traps on my opponent's field up to the amount of the target's fusion materials! Meaning, up to three Spells or Traps on your field will be destroyed! Say goodbye to both of your Parasite Fusioners!" Serena shouted as two glimmering arrows shot out of the card and pierced through the parasites that leeched onto the larger monster.
"Nice move, Serena!" Yuzu cheered.
"Good counter, but it won't help you in the end! Parasite King's effect activates! During the turn this monster is Fusion Summoned, all players can special summon as many Parasite monsters from their graveyards as possible! HIVE MIND CALL!" Ruri screamed as her monster let out a powerful roar. "Rise again, Parasite Fusioners!"

"Return to the field, Parasite Queen! Parasite Fusioners!" Rin yelled as the large parasite appeared along with the three smaller parasites.

"T-There all back...!" Yuzu uttered in disbelief as she stared at the horde of parasites.
"Parasite Queen's effect! This monster gains 300 ATK for each Parasite Fusioners on the field! Since there are six, it gains 1800 ATK!" Rin explained.
Parasite Queen (1800/1800)-(3600/1800)
"Parasite King's effect! This card is unaffected by card effects while I control another Parasite monster! Also, this monster gains 400 ATK for every Parasite monster on the field! Since there are eight, it gains 3200 ATK!"
Parasite King (2800/2800)-(6000/2800)
"6-6000 ATK?!" Serena gasped.
"And it's unaffected by card effects...!" Yuzu uttered.
"I activate the Spell Card, Parasite Control! By paying 1000 life points I can take control of a Parasite monster on another player's field until the end of the turn! I target Parasite Queen!" Ruri shouted as the monster's eyes glowed red.
RURI: 1400-400 LP
"You have no hope left!" Rin screamed.
"The time has come! You will finally join us! BATTLE! Parasite Queen, attack Moonlight Tigress Dancer! SCORCHING ACID!" Ruri viciously shouted as the monster fired purple acid.
"But my monster won't be destroyed thanks to Moonlight Crescent Shield's effect!" Serena countered.
"But you still take the damage!" Rin yelled.
"Trap Activate! Moonlight Defense Formation! All Moonlight monsters on my field are switched to defense mode! Meaning, I don't take any damage!" Serena shouted as her monster braced herself for the attack.
Tigress Dancer (3500/3000)-(3500/3000)
"You may have survived Serena...but you certainly won't, Yuzu Hiragi! Quick Play Spell, Parasite Trance activate! While I control a Parasite monster, a monster on the opponent's field is switched to ATK position!" Ruri shouted as Prodigy Mozart's eyes glowed red.
Prodigy Mozart (2600/2000)-(2600/2000)
"Parasite King, attack Prodigy Mozart the Melodious Maestra! LEGION VENOM STREAM!" Ruri commanded as the top of her lungs.
Parasite King let out another powerful roar, causing all of the parasites' eyes to glow red. Parasite King, Parasite Queen, and all of the Parasite Fusioners fired multiple streams of purple acid in unison. The eight streams combined into a powerful wave of purple acid that was heading for the Pendulum monster.
"YUZU!" Serena shouted as her voice trembled. As much as she wanted to protect Yuzu from the incoming attack, she knew there was nothing she could do.
"...Yugo...Kurosaki...Yuto...I swear I'll bring you both back to them! Quick Play Spell, Melodious Guardian activate! By banishing a Melodious monster in my graveyard, the damage is reduced by it's level times 400! I banish the level 8 Meisterin Beethoven the Melodious Maestra to reduce the damage by 3200!"
The spirit of the fusion monster appeared in front of her as her ace was incinerated by the acid. The spirit protected her from the acid but the force of the attack knocked Yuzu to the ground.
YUZU: 400-200 LP
"...I...survived..." Yuzu uttered to herself before rising to her feet.
"Not for much longer. You'll join our hive in a matter of time! I end my turn!" Ruri concluded.
"I can't let things end like this...we will bring you back to the light! We will save you!" Yuzu declared as she gripped the top card of her deck.
"You're delusional! You have nothing left to use against our perfect field!" Rin taunted.
"I won't believe that! I made a promise and I refuse to break it! This draw will bring you back to your loved ones! My turn...DRAW!" Yuzu shouted as she powerfully drew. The girl glanced at her card and her eyes widened.
The card that she had drawn was the card that Sora had gifted her during his teachings. The card that Yuya temporarily used once but decided to return. The card that represented the summoning method that she learned to get stronger so she could protect her friends and her father's school. The card she drew was...
"...Fusion..." Yuzu whispered in disbelief. Her hand that held the card shook as her eyes widened. There was nothing she could do with this card. She had no trump cards left. She had no hope of winning this duel.
Yuzu's arms dropped up as tears began to form in her eyes.
"Aww, didn't get a good card?" Ruri grinned.
"Haha! We told you that winning was impossible!" Rin laughed.
"There has to be something I can do...Kurosaki stayed behind to protect me...Sora and Reira are holding off the Obelisk Force...Yuya is defending us from Barrett...and Serena's fate is tied to mine...I can't let all of them down! I can't let their sacrifices be for nothing! I can't fail!" Yuzu cried in anger as she clenched her fists.
"Yuzu...what would Yuya say if he was here?" Serena asked the distressed girl.
Yuzu blinked as she heard her counterparts question. She closed her eyes and thought about the boy she loved, causing her lips to curl into a smile.
"H-He'd say that this duel isn't over until the very end...and that...the fun has just begun..." Yuzu answered as she wiped away the tears in her eyes.
"That's right." Serena nodded as she held out her fist. "Now, let's give them everything we got!"
"...Yeah...thanks, Serena." Yuzu smiled as she fist bumped the girl.
"Combine your strength...and save them...!"
As their hands touched, sparks of pink and purple energy began to fill the air as their bracelets shined. Pink and purple energy began to swarm around the two in a vortex of light.
"What the hell?!" Rin yelled.
"This light...!" Ruri grunted as the two girls shielded their eyes.
The two different colors energy shined brightly and morphed into a singular golden light that surrounded the two girls.
"W-What is this energy...?" Yuzu questioned.
"Yuzu...your Extra Deck is glowing..." Serena pointed out.
"Could this be...?" Yuzu trailed off before gaining a determined look on her face. "This light is a sign...a sign that we are going to win this duel and free you both!"
"No matter how bright you shine, nothing can stand against our parasites!" Rin shouted.
"The magnificent creations of the Doktor cannot be defeated! We will be the winners and you will join us! You have no hope!" Ruri yelled.
"That's not true...I will make up for my past..." Serena began.
"...I will keep the promises I made..." Yuzu continued.
"...And until we do...we won't give up hope! WE WILL SAVE YOU!" Yuzu and Serena screamed as the golden swirled around them.
"Grr..." The controlled girls grunted as the light blinded them.
"Swing Pendulum of harmony! Draw an arc of beauty and peace across the heavens! Pendulum Summon! Return from the Extra Deck, Prodigy Mozart the Melodious Maestra!" Yuzu roared as her ace monster returned.

"May I, Serena?" Yuzu asked.
"Go for it!" Serena nodded.
"Alright! I activate the Spell Card, Monster Reborn! Revive, Moonlight Cat Dancer!" Yuzu shouted as Serena's ace appeared on her field.

"Bringing out your pathetic monsters won't help you take down our monsters!" Ruri taunted.
"You're right...our power alone isn't enough to defeat your parasites...which is exactly why I'm going to do this!" Yuzu explained as she held up a card in her hand.
"Take my strength and use it to free them!" Serena told her teammate as their bracelets shined together, lighting up the dark tunnel.
"Thanks, Serena." Yuzu nodded before turning to her opponents. "I activate the Spell Card, Fusion! I fuse Prodigy Mozart the Melodious Maestra and Moonlight Cat Dancer!"
"You're fusing your aces together?!" Rin shouted in a surprised tone.
"Supreme genius with fluttering angel wings!Beautiful wild beast that dances under the moonlight! Throw yourselves into a vortex of the full moon's radiance, and let your awakening powers bloom and grow! FUSION SUMMON! Please descend, songstress waltzing across a field of moonlit flowers! Level 8! Moon Flower Creation Songstress - Moonlight Serenade the Melodious Dancer!" Yuzu and Serena brought their hands together in unison as the glow of their bracelets mixed together.
The beautiful new Fusion-Pendulum monster gracefully arrived on the battle as the light of the full moon from the cracks in the subway made her look even more dazzling. She was a pale-skinned young woman with ankle-length silvery hair with blue streaks and pink tips. Her eyes were green, with cyan eyeliner and her face is painted with light pink blush and rose red lipstick and she had cat ears on top of her head. She wore a glittering, sleeveless pale blue silk dress that was layered like a tutu. Directly over her heart was a blue rose with a blue gemstone in the center. Wrapped around her bare upper arms were flowing blue and pink ribbons which dangled down, on her wrists are Yuzu and Serena's bracelets respectively, and on her head is a head band with a golden triple moon accessory. Petals swirled around her, affixing to her back and transforming into a pair of cyan crescent moon shaped wings, with butterfly-esque patterns outlined in blue.
Moon Flower Creation Songstress - Moonlight Serenade the Melodious Dancer (2800/2400) LVL: 8
"Creation...Songstress...?" Ruri uttered.
"It's a Moonlight and Melodious monster?!" Rin gasped.
"My very own...Fusion-Pendulum monster...!" Yuzu uttered in awe as she looked at the beautiful monster on her field. The light the monster gave off caused the parasites to cower.
"Alright, show them our combined power, Yuzu!" Serena shouted as she pumped her fist outwards.
"Yeah! When Moonlight Serenade is Fusion Summoned using a Moonlight monster, she can attack all monsters on the opponents field!" Yuzu explained with a confident smirk. "BATTLE! Moonlight Serenade, attack all of the Parasite Fusioners!"
The hybrid monster gracefully flew through the air, slashing through each of the Parasite Fusioners one by one with her claws until they were all destroyed.
"We don't take any damage since our monsters were in defense mode!" Ruri countered.
"But now that you're Parasite Fusioners are destroyed, you're monster's ATKs decrease!" Serena pointed out, shocking the brainwashed girls.
Parasite Queen (3600/1800)-(1800/1800)
Parasite King (6000/2800)-(3600/2800)
"No...this can't be..." Rin uttered as she stepped back in fear.
"Come back to Yugo! Moonlight Serenade, attack Parasite Queen! GOOO!" Yuzu screamed as her monster danced through the air before kicking through the center of the parasite. A powerful explosion occurred that sent Rin flying through the air.
"GAAAAAH!"
RIN: 300-0 LP
"D-Damn it...you'll pay for that!" Ruri angrily yelled.
"Since another Parasite monster was destroyed, your monster loses 400 more ATK!" Yuzu grinned.
Parasite King (3600/2800)-(3200/2800)
"HAH! Parasite King is still stronger then your monster!" Ruri shouted.
"...Not for long! Moonlight Serenade's effect activates! When this monster destroys a monster by battle, it gains ATK equal to the destroyed monster's ATK or DEF depending on which is higher! Meaning, she gains 1800 ATK! BLOOMING CYCLE!" Yuzu screamed as her monster began to shine even brighter.
Moonlight Serenade (2800/2400)-(4600/2400)
"I-Impossible...the Doktor's creations...are superior to everything else...!" Ruri stuttered in disbelief.
"That's not true. The love and support of your friends and family is superior to anything in Academia!" Serena yelled.
"Kurosaki and Yuto are waiting for you! Moonlight Serenade..." Yuzu began.
"...attack Parasite King and end this duel!" Serena continued.
The hybrid's wings lit up as it leaped upwards, projecting an image of the lunar cycle behind her. She began to sing a low tune while moving her hands in a circular motion.
"GO, MOONLIT FLOWER ARIA!" Yuzu and Serena roared in unison as their bracelets shined.
As she sang, the beautiful hybrid monster fired a powerful blast of shimmering moonlight which was surrounded by flower petals and sound waves.
The blast lit up the dark subway tunnel as it obliterated the screeching parasite, causing a mesmerizing explosion of light that knocked Ruri through the air.
"GAAAAAH!"
RURI: 400-0 LP
WINNER: YUZU and SERENA
"W-We did it..." Yuzu said as the adrenaline she had during the duel left her body, causing her to stumble as her leg burned from the acid.
"But was it enough to free them...?" Serena asked as she held her burned arm.
The two girls slowly approached their counterparts who were laying on the ground next to one another.
"Ruri? Rin? Are you guys...in control?" Yuzu asked in concern as they regained consciousness.
As Ruri and Rin rose to feet, they opened their eyes, revealing them to still look lifeless.
"I-It didn't work..." Yuzu cupped her hands over her mouth in a horrified tone.
"This can't be..." Serena's eyes widened in fear.
"...Did you really think...it would be that easy...?" Ruri asked with an emotionless look on her face.
"...The Doktor's creations won't be...destroyed so easily...!" Rin expressionlessly said.
Suddenly, the controlled girls' duel disks began to flash.
"What's going on...?!" Serena asked as she nervously stepped back. "I thought that if we won...the parasites would be destroyed..."
"W-We failed to save them...!" Yuzu's voice trembled as tears began to form in her eyes.
"No, you have successfully weakened them. Leave the rest to me."
Serena and Yuzu looked around in confusion as they heard the mysterious voice once more.
Their bracelets began to shine, causing the girls to become wrapped in a golden light once more.
Yuzu and Serena blinked as they could now see the dark auras surrounding the other two girls. The golden light began to overpower the darkness, causing Ruri and Rin's bracelets to shine.
"AAAAHHH!" Ruri and Rin screamed as they were completely enveloped in the golden light before Yuzu and Serena were blinded.
As the light dissipated, Yuzu and Serena regained their vision and watched as the parasites crawled out of their counterparts' ears before heeling over and dying.
"Is it really over...?" Yuzu uttered as she stepped forward. As she took a step, she realized that she no longer had any pain coming from her leg. She looked down and saw that her wound was completely healed, as well as any other injury she had sustained from the previous battles.
Serena inspected her arm, seeing that her skin was completely healed. Not only that, she felt fully rejuvenated as if the duels she fought in earlier in the day never even happened.
Suddenly, the previously controlled girls' duel disks began to blink.
"What's going on...?" Yuzu asked in a worried tone.
"In most cases, when an Academia duelist loses a duel, a return system will trigger which will transport them back to Academia." Serena explained as her eyes widened in fear.
"We have to do something!" Yuzu shouted as she ran over and tried to force the duel disks off but there was no way she could break through the metal straps with her bare hands.
"Follow my lead!" Serena shouted as she took two pieces of rubble off the ground and handed one to Yuzu.
The two began to smash the metal straps with the pieces of rubble while the light from the duel disks began to envelop the tunnel.
"We...WILL SAVE YOU!" Yuzu and Serena screamed as they furiously smashed the metal straps, causing them to break. Their decks fell out of their duel disks as they hit the ground.
Yuzu and Serena tackled Rin and Ruri before the duel disks disappeared in a bright flash where they once stood.
The two girls sighed in relief before rising to their feet.
"It's over..." Serena uttered.
"Yeah...we did it." Yuzu said with a smile.
They then turned around to see two piles of cards on the ground behind them. The two walked over and began to gather the cards, taking out the Parasite cards that infested their decks. When they turned around to check on their counterparts, they were already beginning to get up.
"W-What happened...?" Rin groaned as she rubbed her head.
"Are we...free...?" Ruri fearfully questioned.
The other two girls smiled as they walked over to the scared and confused girls.
"Hi, Rin, Ruri. We've heard so much about you. I'm Yuzu Hiragi." Yuzu waved.
"I'm Serena. And I believe these belong to you." Serena said as the two handed their counterparts their decks.
"Thank you for saving us...we really owe you..." Ruri gratefully said, although her voice was still shaky.
"Do you remember what happened?" Serena asked.
"When we were being controlled...we were still conscious...but we couldn't control our actions..." Rin said in fear.
"That's horrible..." Yuzu frowned.
"H-How did you save us...?" Ruri asked.
"Well..." Yuzu began, not really knowing what to say.
But in that moment, the cries of four dragons echoed throughout the entire city, causing all four of their bracelets to begin blinking.
"W-What the hell is this...?" Rin questioned.
"Yuya, Yuto, and Yugo must be in trouble..." Serena said, causing Rin and Ruri to perk up.
"Yugo?!" Rin gasped.
"Yuto?!" Ruri's eyes widened.
"I know you both are close to them. We share some strange connection and our bracelets normally warn us when something bad is about to happen involving them." Yuzu explained, worried for Yuya's safety.
"I need to find Yugo!" Rin impatiently shouted.
"I can't let Yuto get hurt!" Ruri desperately yelled.
"But how the hell will we find them..." Serena questioned.
"I-I think...I can lead us to them..." Ruri explained as she looked as the light from her bracelet reflected in her eyes.
"What are you-" Yuzu tried to ask but Ruri sprinted off in search of her love.
"Wait up!" Rin shouted as she ran off.
"Could...he...be there too...?" Serena nervously uttered to herself. If that was the case, her friends were in serious danger. There was only one way to fight out. Serena grit her teeth and began to run.
"Please be safe...Yuya..." Yuzu prayed as she ran behind her counterparts.
Wow, that was difficult to write. That chapter took a lot of time (partly due to school starting up again) which I apologize for. I did my best to make this matchup as epic as possible and I hope you all enjoyed it.

And one more thing, only the Parasite cards were removed from Ruri and Rin's decks. The Fusion cards (Independent Nightingale, Crystal Bell, Fusion Spell Card) were not.
Also, Ruri and Rin are officially joining the main cast! I'm really excited to finally use them as characters! Though they'll be used more in the upcoming arc, they still have their own roles to play for the time being. And fun fact, Ruri's bracelet power was also briefly shown at the end of the chapter.
