"Yugo! Yugo, wake up! We need to keep moving! Yugo!"

Yugo opened his eyes to see Yuto anxiously shaking the boy. He looked around to see that they were still in the subway.

"Damn...my head is killing me...what the hell happened...?" Yugo grumbled.

"We were running after Yuri and you keeled over and started screaming." Yuto explained as he helped the boy to his feet.

"...Yeah...that's right..." Yugo rubbed his head before his eyes widened and his fist instinctively tightened.

"Save your anger for Yuri. Once we find him, we'll make him pay for what he did to Ruri and Rin." Yuto coldly said.

"No...that's not it...it's Yuya..." Yugo growled in an irritated tone. "I remember it a lot more clearly this time...Yuya...he drained me of my energy...I watched him do it...with a demonic look on his face..."

"...We'll investigate that later. For now, we need to focus on finding Yuri. He's close by. I can feel it." Yuto said with a look of determination.

"...Ok. Let's go get this smiling bastard!" Yugo angrily shouted.

Yuto nodded before the two raced off in search of their Fusion counterpart.

Yugo is riding his D-Wheel down a Duel Lane at night, the neon signs and billboards of City aglow with life as he passes by. Out on a boat in the sea, Yuri faces Academia, arms visibly crossed.

Cut to the Standard, Xyz and Synchro counterparts together on a grassy hill, gazing at the starry night sky. Yuzu and Ruri rest their heads on Yuya and Yuto's shoulders respectively, who in turn drape an arm around them. Rin does the same with Yugo, who blushes redder than Yuya's hair. It is a touching scene….

You're Looking For!

… the screen falls to reveal the Fusion Counterparts falling into darkness. Yuri grins wickedly as his eyes are whited out by a violet glow. Behind him is the shadow of an older boy, face obscured with a monstruous, inhuman smile on his face. Above him, Serena holds out her hand, desperately trying to reach her former friend. The gem on her bracelet shines like a star, cutting through the miasma that surrounds them. Behind her is the golden spirit of an older girl, trying to reach out to the figure behind Yuri as tears flow. The older teens vanish as the Fusion Counterparts' silhouettes turn to black and a large, sinister pair of draconic eyes open wide behind them.

I'll Challenge All My Limits

Crow, Kiryu, the Black Rose Witch, and Jack race in a line on the highway and call forth their dragons; Black-Feather, Infernity Void, Black Rose, and Red Daemon's.

Knowing This Could Be My Only Chance Now

Yuzu and Serena stand together striking Fusion and Pendulum summoning poses respectively. On the right side of the screen behind Yuzu is Bloom Diva, Bloom Lorin, and Prodigy Mozart. On the left side of the screen behind Serena was Cat Dancer, Panther Dancer and Lio Dancer.

To Overcome This Fate That's Come Over Me

On his D-Wheel, Yuya extends his arm outwards as Enlightenment Paladin begins to glow and evolves into a blue and golden warrior with a large sword. The swordsman hovers over Yuya with Odd Eyes Rebellion on it's right and Odd Eyes Wing on it's left.

The Ending Of This Story

Yuri stands in a dark tunnel with a monstrous grin with Starve Venom and Greedy Venom behind him. To his sides are Ruri and Rin with soulless eyes. Behind the girls are Independent Nightingale and Crystal Bell respectively.

I Will Hold It Close As I Wonder So Aimlessly

Yuto and Yugo closely race next to each other on the highway as Dark Rebellion and Clear Wing flew through the sky. Yuto slaps a card on his duel disk causing Dark Rebellion to be consumed by flames and evolve into Dark Rebellion Apocalypse. Yugo throws a card on his duel disk and reaches his hand out to the sky as Clear Wing shined and evolved into Crystal Wing. The two dragons fly at each other full force as and smash their heads against each other as Yuto and Yugo yell with glowing indigo and cyan eyes.

Into This New World

The scene changes to Yuya standing beneath a blue landscape. A pendulum swings above him, draw arcs of light across the sky. Yusho's face is shown over the center of the arcs, smiling down at his son with pride.

The Game Has Only Just Begun

Yuya reaches his hand out as the image of his father fades. He is shown to have a look of surprise on his face...

I Can See It In Your Eyes!

…which quickly turns into a triumphant smile!

(Instrumental)

The screen flashes to Reiji with D/D/D Hell Armageddon on his field sternly standing in front of the laughing Hell Kaiser with the roaring Cyber End Dragon. The scene changes to a worn out Serena and Yuzu kneeling in front of the soulless Rin and Ruri, with the silhouette of Parasite Fusioner behind them. The scene shifts again to Yuya, Yuto, Yugo, and Yuri standing across from each other with glowing eyes and spiked up hair as their dragons roared. The four dragons crash against each other causing a bright light to engulf the screen. The song ends with a shot of the Lancers on the highway in the Synchro Dimension looking up at the screen with the three Yu-boys in the center, each sharing a look of determination.

After some time, the boys made it to a large intersection between many other subway tunnels.

"Where do we go now...?" Yugo questioned as he looked at each of the many tunnels.

"Even if we have to search every last one...I swear...I'll end that Yuri bastard and get back Ruri...!" Yuto swore as his fist tightened.

"You sure are determined! How exciting!"

Yuto and Yugo's heads whipped around to see Yuri standing off to the side with a devilish look on his face.

"You...!" Yuto growled.

"Finally got sick of running, grinning bastard?" Yugo yelled.

"Not quite. I simply wanted to find a better setting for our grand finale of a duel! We're going to have to much fun!" Yuri playfully shouted.

"Unforgivable...taking Ruri from me...is unforgivable! I'll make you pay...FOR EVERY SIN YOU'VE COMMITTED!" Yuto angrily screamed before activating his duel disk.

"I'll pummel you into the dirt for separating me from Rin, grinning bastard!" Yugo exclaimed as he activated his duel disk.

"Since you both are challenging me...why don't we make things more interesting? I propose we make this duel a Battle Royale! How does that sound?" Yuri questioned.

"It doesn't matter! No matter what, this duel will end with you being defeated!" Yuto shouted while Yugo nodded in agreement.

"Then it's settled! Now, I hope you both enjoy your last battle!" Yuri gleefully shouted.

"DUEL!"

"I'm going first! My turn! From my hand, I summon Phantom Knights Ancient Cloak!" Yuto shouted as the cloaked spirit appeared.

"And since I control a Phantom Knights monster, I can special summon Phantom Knights Silent Boots!" Yuto shouted as the spirit in brown clothing appeared.

"Now, I overlay my level 3 Ancient Cloak and Silent Boots! Soul of the knights who fall on the battlefield! Now revive, become the light that rend the darkness! Xyz Summon! Come forth! Rank 3! Phantom Knights Break Sword!" Yuto shouted as his knight with a large sword riding a phantom horse appeared.

"I will save Ruri, no matter what it takes! I set a card facedown, turn end!" Yuto concluded.

"I'm going next! Let's go, my turn! From my hand, I summon the tuner monster Speedroid Three Eyed Dice!" Yugo said as the blue pyramid with a red eye appeared.

Speedroid Three Eyed Dice (300/1500) LVL: 3

"Next, while I control a WIND monster, I can special summon Speedroid Taketonborg!" Yugo yelled as a small blue and yellow mech appeared.

"Now I tune the level 3 Three Eyed Dice to the level 3 Taketonborg! Magical sword with the form of a cross! Use your power to rend all enemies! Synchro Summon! Appear now! Level 6! High-Speedroid Makendama!" Yugo shouted.

High-Speedroid Makendama (2200/1600) LVL:6

"Makendama's effect! By banishing Taketonborg, you take 500 damage, smiling bastard!" Yugo growled as he pointed at Yuri. His monster fired a blast from it's blade that knocked Yuri back a few feet.

YURI: 4000-3500 LP

"Heh...I can feel your aggression towards me. Good, this will make things much more interesting!" Yuri grinned.

"Shut up! I'm going to get Rin back and kick your ass! Turn end!"

"Time for my fun to begin! My turn! I activate the Spell Card, Fusion! I fuse Predator Plants Easter Lily Lizard and Predator Plants Darling Cobra!"

"Fusion...!" Yuto gritted his teeth in anger.

"Two beautiful plants with a insect alluring fragrance! Now become one and bring forth the plant of pure horror! Fusion Summon! Come forth! Level 7! Predator Plants Chimeraflessia!" Yuri shouted with a grin as a large and menacing plant monster appeared beside him.

Predator Plants Chimeraflessia (2500/2000) LVL:7

"Someone as horrible as you using disgusting monsters like that seems about right..." Yugo growled.

"You're right about that! My carnivorous plants fit me perfectly and I'll demonstrate why! Chimeraflessia's effect activates! Once per turn, I can banish a monster with a level that is less or equal to this card's level! Say goodbye to your puny toy!" Yuri smirked as he pointed at Makendama.

The plant grabbed the machine with it's vines and dragged it into it's mouth, causing Yugo to look on in horror.

"Quite a delicious appetizer, don't you agree? Since we are playing by Battle Royal rules, I cannot attack during my first turn. I set a card facedown, turn end." Yuri concluded with a sinister smile on his face.

"My turn! I activate the Spell Card, Seven Store! By releasing an Xyz monster on my field, I can draw a card plus an additional card for every overlay unit that monster had! I release Break Sword to draw three cards!" Yuto shouted as he drew.

"Getting rid of your monster?" Yuri scratched his chin as his interest rose.

"At this moment, Break Sword's effect! When this card is destroyed, I can special summon it's Xyz materials as level 4 monsters!"

Phantom Knights Ancient Cloak (800/1000) LVL: 3-4

Phantom Knights Silent Boots (200/1200) LVL: 3-4

"Next, I activate the Spell Card, Phantom Knights Boost! All Phantom Knights on my field gain one level!" Yuto explained as a dark blue aura surrounded his monsters.

"Now, I overlay my level 5 Ancient Cloak and Silent Boots! Armored warrior emerging from darkness! Use your blades to slash through our enemies! Xyz Summon! Come forth! Rank 5! Phantom Knights Berserker Blader!" Yuto shouted as a knight with two swords and glowing blue eyes appeared that wore a purple scarf.

"I'm ending this duel right now! Berserker Blader's effect activates! By using an overlay unit, I can target a monster on your field and it's destroyed! Then, you take damage equal to it's level times 300!" Yuto shouted as his knight charged the fusion.

"Continuous Trap, Predator Vine Wall activate! When a Predator Plants monster would be destroyed by battle or card effect, it isn't destroyed once per turn!" Yuri countered as a wall of vines protected his monster.

"Tch...Battle! Berserker Blader, attack Predator Plants Chimeraflessia! Cross Slash!" Yuto shouted as his knight fired a blue X-shaped blast from it's swords.

"Fool! Chimeraflessia's effect activates! When this monster battles, it gains 1000 ATK while your monster loses 1000 ATK!"

"No way!" Yugo gasped.

"Damn it...Continuous Trap, Phantom Knights Sword! By targeting Berserker Blader, my monster gains 800 ATK!" Yuto shouted as his knight powered up.

"That's not enough! Chimeraflessia, counterattack! Toxic Crunch!" Yuri commanded. The large plant deflected the knight's attack with it's vines before launching it's flytrap vine forward. The venomous flytrap expanded and devoured the knight.

"That was cute. I remember you being a lot more of a challenge back in Standard." Yuri sneered, causing Yuto's anger to rise. Yuri then smirked as he turned to Yugo. "And you, Fusion. You defeated Yuto in a duel, yes? Must have been a fluke seeing as how pathetic you look."

"My name isn't Fusion, grinning bastard! My name is Yugo! I'll make you pay for all of the sins you've committed!" Yugo ferociously growled as he pointed at the Fusion user. "My turn! While I have no monsters on my field, I can summon Speedroid Beigomax!"

Speedroid Beigomax (1200/600) LVL:3

"And by releasing Speedroid Beigomax, I can Advance Summon Speedroid Passinglider!" Yugo shouted as the plane Pendulum monster appeared.

"Passinglider's effect activates! I can special summon a level 4 or lower Speedroid monster in my graveyard! Come back, the tuner monster, Speedroid Three Eyed Dice!" Yugo said as the blue pyramid with a red eye appeared.

"Now, I tune my level 3 Three Eyed Dice to my level 5 Passinglider! Mechanical dragon that rules over the skies! Fly down and destroy your enemies with the power of the raging winds! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 8! High-Speedroid Kitedrake!" Yugo shouted as a mechanical dragon-like monster appeared with blue and grey armor and sharp green wings.

High-Speedroid Kitedrake (3000/2800) LVL: 8

"Kitedrake's effect activates! When this card is Synchro Summoned, I can choose to either negate the effects of all cards my opponent controls or to destroy all other cards on the field! I'll choose the negation effect! Storming Gale!" Yugo shouted as a powerful force of wind circled Berserker Blader, Chimeraflessia, and Predator Vine Wall.

"Stopping my card's effects, eh? You're smarter then you look." Yuri said before laughing.

"I'll shut you up with this! Battle! High-Speedroid Kitedrake, attack Chimeraflessia! Typhoon Impact!" Yugo shouted as his monster fired a green cyclone blast from it's mouth. The blast consumed the plant, causing a shockwave that Yuri took head on with a grin on his face.

YURI: 3500-3000 LP

"How'd that taste, scum? Turn end!" Yugo shouted.

"That was quite a display, Fusion. But don't get too cocky now. I'm just warming up! My turn! During the Standby Phase after Chimeraflessia is destroyed, I can add a Fusion Spell from my deck to my hand!"

A card popped out of Yuri's deck which he added to his hand with a grin on his face.

"Next, I activate the Spell Card, Predator Rejuvenation! I can special summon up to two Predator Plants monsters in my graveyard but with their effects negated! Revive, Predator Plants Chimeraflessia! Predator Plants Darling Cobra!" Yuri shouted as his plant monsters returned.

"Now, I activate the Spell Card, Fusion! I fuse Chimeraflessia and Darling Cobra! Two beautiful plants with an insect alluring fragrance, become one and take the form of a hellish beast that devours it's prey! Fusion Summon! Come forth! Level 8! Predator Plants Dragostapelia!" Yuri shouted as a large green dragon-like plant monster appeared with a ferocious roar.

Predator Plants Dragostapelia (2700/1900) LVL:8

"What the hell is that thing?!" Yugo shouted.

"Another disgusting Fusion...!" Yuto grunted in anger.

"I'm glad you both like my beautiful monster! Now, Dragostapelia's effect activates! Once per each player's turn, I can place a Predator Counter on a monster on the opponent's field! I choose to place a Predator Counter on High-Speedroid Kitedrake!" Yuri pointed at the Synchro monster as a small mouth-shaped plant bit into it. "And as long as your monster has a Predator Counter, it's effects are negated! And since it is a level 2 or higher monster, it's level becomes 1!"

Kitedrake (Predator Counters: 0-1) LVL: 8-1

"But my monster is still stronger!" Yugo yelled.

"I'm not worried about that! I activate the Spell Card, Predator Draw! By releasing a Predator Plants monster on my field or a monster on any player's field with a Predator Counter, I can draw two cards!" Yuri explained as his smile grew larger.

"That means...!" Yugo realized as his eyes widened.

"I release your High-Speedroid Kitedrake to draw two cards!" Yuri grinned. The small plant mouth bit into the Synchro monster even harder, causing it to burst into particles while Yuri drew.

"You tricky bastard!" Yugo growled.

"Oh please, you flatter me with your kind words, Fusion~" Yuri teased.

"Grr...stop playing around! This isn't a game!" Yugo shouted in anger.

"I don't need to be serious to deal with you." Yuri smirked.

"Grr...when Kitedrake is sent to the graveyard due to an opponent's card, I can add a Speedroid monster from my deck to my hand."

"Battle! Dragostapelia, attack him directly! Dragonic Venom!" Yuri grinned as his monster fired a blast of purple venom at the Synchro user.

"Yugo!" Yuto cried.

"Three Eyed Dice's effect in the graveyard activates! I banish it to negate the attack!" Yugo countered as a triangular barrier blocked the attack.

"I like your persistence...the hunt is much more fun when the prey actually put up a challenge! I set a card facedown, turn end." Yuri concluded.

"This guy is severely sick..." Yugo uttered in nervousness. As he turned to his friend, Yugo could see Yuto body shaking in anger.

"...You enjoyed taking Ruri away from me...didn't you...?" Yuto sternly questioned.

"Of course, she put up quite a fight after all. I remember her talking about how she was determined to win since she was fighting for her friends and all of that crap. I guess she wasn't determined enough~" Yuri's eyes narrowed as he grinned.

"Y-You...won't get away with hurting Ruri...I'LL KILL YOU!" Yuto angrily shouted before placing his hand on his deck.

"Yuto, he's trying to make you lose control-"

"Shut up!" Yuto snapped at Yugo before turning back to his opponent. "My turn...DRAW!"

"Remember, thanks to your teammate's monster, your Berserker Blader's effects are still negated. What will you do?" Yuri questioned.

"I activate the Spell Card, Shuffle Reborn! I revive Phantom Knights Break Sword from my graveyard!"

Phantom Knights Break Sword (2000/1000) RNK: 3

"Then, I shuffle Phantom Knights Berserker Blader into my Extra Deck to draw a card!" Yuto explained as he drew.

"Getting rid of your monster, eh? I didn't expect that." Yuri said as his interest rose.

"I activate the Spell Card, Rank Down Magic Phantom Knights Fall! I can rank down a DARK Xyz monster 1 or 2 ranks lower! I rank down Break Sword 1 rank lower!" Yuto shouted as his knight turned into dark energy that flew into the overlay network.

"Rank Down? Don't you Xyz remnants normally like to Rank Up?" Yuri questioned.

"Carry on the ten thousand warriors! Cursed spear buried in the darkness! Descend now! Xyz Summon! Come forth! Rank 2! Phantom Knights Cursed Javelin!" Yuto shouted as the undead warrior carrying a javelin appeared.

Phantom Knights Cursed Javelin (1600/0) RNK: 2 OVU: 1

"Cursed Javelin's effect activates! Once per turn, by using an overlay unit, I can target a monster on your field and it's effects are negated and it's ATK is reduced to 0! I target Dragostapelia!" Yuto shouted as his monster absorbed an overlay unit.

"Idiot! Dragostapelia's effect activates! Once per each player's turn, I can place a Predator Counter on an opponent's monster! I choose Cursed Javelin!" Yuri yelled as a small plant bit into the knight.

Cursed Javelin (Predator Counters: 0-1)

"And due to Dragostapelia's effect, all monsters with Predator Counters have their effects negated! Meaning, your monster is useless!" Yuri smirked.

"My monster isn't useless, it served it's purpose! Quick Play Spell, Rank Up Magic Phantom Knights Force! By banishing DARK monsters in my graveyard, I can rank up a DARK Xyz monster on my field equal to the amount of banished monsters! I banish Phantom Knights Ancient Cloak and Phantom Knights Silent Boots to rank up Phantom Cursed Javelin two ranks higher!" Yuto shouted as his monster turned into dark energy that flew into the overlay network.

BA-BUMP

Yugo and Yuri both felt their hearts beginning to beat faster as they heard their respective dragons roaring from within their Extra Decks.

"Fangs of pitch-black darkness! Rise up against the foolish oppression! Descend now! Rank Up Xyz Change! Come forth! Rank 4! Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon!" Yuto shouted as his purple dragon with black armor appeared with a ferocious roar.

Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon (2500/2000) RNK: 4 OVU: 1

"Ghh...Clear Wing...quiet down...please..." Yugo grunted as he clutched his chest in pain while the roars of his ace echoed in his mind.

"This feeling from before...don't worry Starve Venom...your time will come shortly..." Yuri uttered as he heard his ace monster begging to be called out.

"Dark Rebellion's effect activates! By using an overlay unit, I can target a level 5 or higher monster on your field and it's ATK is halved while Dark Rebellion gains the lost amount! I target Dragostapelia! Treason Discharge!" Yuto cried as purple electricity shot out of the orbs on the dragon's wings. The electricity wrapped around the dragon-like plant, causing it to roar in pain.

"So that was your plan! You brought out the other monster to bait me into using Dragostapelia's effect! There's the duelist who gave me so much joy during our duel in the Standard Dimension!" Yuri gleefully shouted.

The dark dragon's wings opened up, causing purple electricity to flow through them. The dragon then flew towards the fusion with it's fang glowing brightly.

"Quick Play Spell, Fusion Cancel! I return Dragostapelia to the Extra Deck and it's Fusion materials are summoned to the field!" Yuri shouted as his fusion split back into two plants in a flash of light.

"And when Darling Cobra is summoned, I can add a Fusion Spell from my deck to my hand!"

"Grr...attack Chimeraflessia!" Yuto commanded as his dragon drove it's electrified fang through the plant, causing it to burst into particles.

"That was a clever try, Yuto." Yuri smirked.

"Damn it! Turn end!" Yuto concluded.

Dark Rebellion (3850/2000)-(2500/2000)

"The ferociousness from that last attack sure was something. You are really proving to be fun!" Yuri smiled.

"This isn't a game! You shouldn't be taking enjoyment in this!" Yuto yelled.

"Oh that's really hypocritical, don't you think?" Yuri said, causing Yuto's eyes to twitch.

"What the hell did you say?!" Yuto growled.

"C'mon, Yuto. I can tell you enjoy dueling violently. You're like me, you enjoy being able to go all out in order to crush your opponents with your power." Yuri explained with a smirk.

"That's...not true..." Yuto uttered.

"Isn't it? I've seen you duel multiple times, including the stupid tournament that you Lancers are participating in. Didn't both of your first two matches end with you knocking your opponent off their bike-things?" Yuri questioned.

As much as he didn't want to admit it, Yuri was right. Both Lotten and Rudger ended facedown on the track after their duels with him. Yuto practically tortured Rudger after their duel in order to get information. And god knows what Yuto would have done to Yugo if he had won that duel.

And even before the tournament, Yuto was still constantly losing control of his rage. While dueling Kiryu, he lost control of his ritual dragon which almost ended up killing his opponent. Back in Standard, he became consumed in rage against Hell Kaiser. And before that, he brutally burned the Obelisk Force soldiers alive.

"As much as you want to deny it, you know I'm right. You and I aren't so alike after all. If you think Ruri is scared of me, don't you think she'll be scared of who you really are?" Yuri questioned with a sinister grin on his face. Yuto just stood their as darkness covered his eyes.

"Shut up! You don't know anything about Yuto! He's doing everything in his power to save the one he loves!" Yugo shouted, jumping to his friend's defense.

"I'm surprised that you are defending him after he was debating on giving up the whereabouts of Yuzu Hiragi and Serena in exchange for Ruri." Yuri mischievously spoke.

"Tch..." Yugo clicked his tongue as he glared at Yuto for a brief moment, who was still remaining silent.

"I see, I guess that wound is still fresh." Yuri laughed.

"I'll shut you up! My turn! From my hand, I summon Speedroid Horse Stilts!" Yugo shouted as the toy horse appeared.

"Now, I tune my level 1 Red Eyed Dice to my level 2 Sling Shooter and level 4 Horse Stilts!" Yugo shouted as his tuner turned into a ring that flew around his monsters.

Yuri and Yuto felt the pain in their chests grow as Dark Rebellion roared on the field while Starve Venom roared from within Yuri's Extra Deck.

"Spread those wonderous and beautiful wings and strike down our enemies at light speed! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 7! Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!" Yugo shouted as the white and blue dragon with a large tail and green crystals appeared with a loud roar.

Clear Wing Synchro Dragon (2500/2000) LVL:7

The two dragons on the field violently roared in unison as the three's hearts began beating faster and faster.

"Grr...Yuto...remember what happened in our duel...we have to contain our emotions...or else we'll lose control while our dragons are on the field..." Yugo explained as he clutched his heart.

"..." Despite being in pain, Yuto still remained silent.

Sighing to himself after being ignored, Yugo then turned to Clear Wing.

"We can do this...Clear Wing...Battle! Clear Wing Synchro Dragon, attack Predator Plants Darling Cobra! Whirlwind Helldive Slasher!" Yugo shouted as his dragon spun through the air while surrounded by green energy, smashing through the plant with it's prismatic wings.

"Ghh..." Yuri grunted from the force of the attack.

"I set a card facedown, turn end..." Yugo concluded before grunting in pain once more.

"You know, you two are almost polar opposites at this point." Yuri spoke up.

"What do you mean by that?!" Yugo angrily asked.

"Yuto's going to such drastic measures to save his love while you don't even seem to care all that much." Yuri teased.

"Of course I care about Rin, bastard!" Yugo snapped.

"Do you really? While you are currently competing in a tournament to fulfill your own dream, Rin is currently rotting away in a cell at Academia. Or worse for all you know. And yet here you are. At least Yuto here is trying to move along while you want to compete in this silly tournament." Yuri tapped his chin as Yugo's face turned red, causing the purple and pink haired boy to smirk.

Both of his opponents were about to succumb to their rage. Things were going perfectly so far. Now was the time for the turning point.

Yuri glared at the two menacing dragons in front of him as his smirk turned to a malicious grin. The boy then heard a loud cry from his Extra Deck.

"I know, Starve Venom. It's your time to come out and play! My turn, draw! From my hand, I activate the Spell Card, Predator Sprouting! While I have control no monsters while there are two or more monsters on your fields, I can special summon two Predator Tokens to my field!" Yuri shouted as two small plants appeared.

"...It's coming..." Yuto uttered, breaking his silence.

"...His dragon...!" Yugo angrily grunted.

"HAHAHA! The time has finally come! I activate the Spell Card, Fusion! I fuse my two Predator Tokens together!" Yuri shouted as his tokens flew into the fusion vortex.

Dark Rebellion and Clear Wing roared in unison as Yuto and Yugo felt their chests burning in pain.

"Two beautiful plants with a insect alluring fragrance! Now become one, and from the hell beneath your petals, give birth to a new terror! Fusion Summon! Come Forth! Level 8! Starve Venom Fusion Dragon!" Yuri shouted as a purple dragon appeared with a large green tail that extended from it's lower body and multiple yellow and red orbs on it's body.

Starve Venom Fusion Dragon (2800/2000) LVL:8

The dragon let out a menacing roar, causing the other two dragons to do the same.

"T-This feeling...I didn't expect it to be so strong this time...amazing...!" Yuri uttered, embracing the pain.

"All three of our dragons are on the field...!" Yuto's eyes widened in fear.

"Which means...!" Yugo gasped.

As the three dragons continued to roar, each of the boys felt sharp pain throughout their body.

"GRAAAAAH!"

All three boys cried out in pain as they fell to their knees.

Suddenly, all three boys were surrounded by a dark aura in the shape of a large dragon as they rose to their feet with their eyes closed. The three felt a powerful rush of rage as they opened their glowing eyes.

Yuri's eyes glowed purple as he sadistically grinned.

Yugo's eyes glowed turquoise as he angrily growled.

Yuto's eyes glowed blue as he coldly yet menacingly stared at his counterparts.

"The time..." Yuri began.

"...has come for us ..." Yugo continued.

"...to become one!" Yuto shouted.

"WE WILL BECOME ONE!" All three chanted as their dragons roared in unison.

"You both will become one with me! You're dragons will be mine! Starve Venom Fusion Dragon's effect activates! Since my dragon was Fusion Summoned using only fusion materials on the field, it gains ATK equal to the combined ATKs of all your special summoned monsters!" Yuri shouted as his dragon roared before powering up.

"I won't let you! Clear Wing Synchro Dragon's effect activates! When a level 5 or higher monster activates it's effect, that effect is negated and that monster is destroyed! Then, Clear Wing gains the destroyed monster's ATK! Dichroic Mirror!" Yugo countered as a blast of light shot out of the dragon's green wings, destroying the newly summoned Fusion Dragon. Clear Wing's eyes then began to glow as the dragon powered up.

Clear Wing (2500/2000)-(5300/2000)

But where the dragon was destroyed, a bubbling puddle of venom was left.

"HeheheHAHAHA! Idiot! Starve Venom's other effect activates! When this card is destroyed, all special summoned monsters on your fields are destroyed and you take damage equal to the destroyed monster's ATKs! Say goodbye to your dragons!" Yuri grinned as the puddle turned into a geyser that shot venom at the two dragons.

"Trap Activate! Phantom Knights Wing! My dragon isn't destroyed and it gains 500 ATK!" Yuto growledas his dragon's wings were surrounded by dark blue energy which it used to shield itself from the venom.

Dark Rebellion (2500/2000)-(3000/2000)

"Trap Activate! Wind Dance! When a WIND Synchro monster would be destroyed by a card effect, that monster isn't destroyed!" Yugo countered as his dragon was surrounded by green wind which deflected the venom.

"It's not over! I activate the Spell Card, Monster Reborn! Revive, Starve Venom Fusion Dragon!" Yuri yelled as his ace returned to the field.

Starve Venom Fusion Dragon (2800/2000) LVL:8

"Grr..." Yuto and Yugo grunted in pain as the dragon returned to the field.

"Let's try this again, shall we? Starve Venom's effect activates! Once per turn, I can target a level 5 or higher monster on the field and it's effects are negated! Then, Starve Venom steals it's effects until the end of the turn! I target Clear Wing Synchro Dragon! And once it's effects are negated, it's ATK will return to normal!" Yuri explained.

"Clear Wing can negate and destroy your dragon, but then it's effect would destroy Clear Wing..." Yugo grunted in anger.

"That means you can't use your dragon's effect! I've trapped you! Go, Noxious Drain!" Yuri shouted with a malicious grin. A vine shot out the dragon's body and wrapped around the dragon, draining it's energy.

Clear Wing (5300/2000)-(2500/2000)

"Battle! Go, Starve Venom Fusion Dragon! Attack Clear Wing Synchro Dragon! Venomous Root Burst!" Yuri commanded. The dragon extended it's roots and vines outwards as the red and yellow orbs on it's body glowed. The dragon roared before firing a powerful green blast at the white dragon.

"Grr..!" Yugo grunted as his dragon was obliterated.

YUGO: 4000-3700 LP

"Turn end." Yuri concluded with a satisfied look.

"I...will destroy everything...MY TURN!" Yuto coldly shouted as he drewthe boy.

After staring at the Fusion Dragon for a moment, the Xyz user's attention shifted towards the empty field of the person that was once his teammate.

"This duel is a battle royale...and I will be the only one left standing! I will destroy you for defeating me before!" Yuto declared, causing Yugo to grit his teeth in anger.

"Bring it on!" Yugo challenged.

"This is revenge! Battle! Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon, direct attack! Revolt of Lightning Disobey!" Yuto screamed as his dragon flew towards the defenseless Synchro user with it's fang glowing bright.

"The Trap Card, Wind Dance's effect in the graveyard activates! While I control no monsters, I can banish this card to revive a WIND Synchro monster in ATK mode! And the summoned monsters can't be destroyed this turn! Revive, Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!"

In a storm of wind, Yugo's ace returned and flew protectively in front of him.

Dark Rebellion's attack continued, leading to the dark dragon striking the white dragon with it's electrified fang, causing a powerful shockwave that knocked Yugo back.

"Tch...I set two cards facedown, turn end!" Yuto shouted.

"My turn, draw! From my hand, I summon Speedroid Shave Boomerang from my hand!"

"I activate Shave Boomerang's effect! Once per turn, I can change this monster to defence position and to target a monster and lower it's attack by 300!" Yugo shouted as the yellow boomerang started spinning, creating a whirlwind. "I target Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!"

"This move again...!" Yuto growled, remembering the tactic from their duel in the Standard Dimension.

"At this moment, I activate Clear Wind Synchro Dragon's effect! Since a level 5 or higher monster was targeted by a monster's effect, that effect is negated and that monster is destroyed! Then, Clear Wing gains that monster's ATK! Dichroic Mirror!" Yugo shouted as the light from the dragon's prismatic wings destroyed the boomerang, causing the yellow dragon's eyes to shine.

Clear Wing (2500/2000)-(4500/2000)

"I'll defeat you just like before! Battle! Clear Wing Synchro Dragon, attack Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon! Whirlwind Helldive Slasher!" Yugo commanded as his dragon was surrounded by green energy before flying through the air towards the dark dragon.

"Continuous Trap, Phantom Knights Fog Blade! By equipping this card to an attacking monster, that monster can no longer attack or be attacked! Also, it's effects are negated!" Yuto shouted as a blue ghostly blade appeared and struck Clear Wing before it could collide with Dark Rebellion, causing it's green aura to dissipate.

Clear Wing (4500/2000)-(2500/2000)

"Damn it...I end my turn..." Yugo angrily concluded.

"You're fighting is amusing, but I will be the one to defeat both of you! My turn! I activate the Spell Card, Pot of Greed! I draw two cards! Next, I activate the Spell Card, Predator Bloom! By banishing a level 4 or lower Predator Plants monster, a DARK Fusion monster on my field gains the banished monster's ATK until the end of the turn! I banish Predator Plants Easter Lily Lizard and Starve Venom gains 1200 ATK!" Yuri exclaimed as the orbs on his dragon shined.

Starve Venom (2800/2000)-(4000/2000)

"Prepare yourself! Battle! Starve Venom, attack Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon!" Yuri commanded as his dragon extended it's roots before firing a powerful green blast at the dark dragon.

"Trap Activate! Half Unbreak! Dark Rebellion isn't destroyed and the damage is halved!" Yuto shouted as his dragon was surrounded by a clear barrier. The force of the attack clashing with the barrier created a shockwave that knocked the boy back.

YUTO: 2900-2400 LP

"Grr..." Yuto grunted in anger.

"I set two cards facedown, turn end!" Yuri concluded. "At this moment, Starve Venom's ATK returns to normal."

Starve Venom (4000/2000)-(2800/2000)

"You bastard...I will end your existence! My turn! I activate the Spell Card, Rank Up Magic Phantom Knights Launch! This card ranks up Dark Rebellion one rank higher also using this card as material!" Yuto shouted as his eyes glowed even brighter.

Yuto's dragon roared before turning into dark energy that flew back into the overlay network.

"From the depth of purgatory, sing the song of rebellion dedicated to the restless souls! Let it echo for all eternity and appear! RANK UP XYZ CHANGE! Come forth! Rank 5! Dark Requiem Xyz Dragon!"

The evolved form of his ace which was a purple dragon with black and grey armor and stained glass-like wings appeared.

Dark Requiem Xyz Dragon (3000/2500) RNK:5 OVU: 2

"Dark Requiem Xyz Dragon's effect activates! By using one overlay unit, I can target a monster on your field and that monster's ATK becomes 0! Then, Dark Requiem gains ATK equal to the target's original ATK! I target Starve Venom Fusion Dragon! Requiest Salvation!" Yuto shouted as the dragon shot dark energy from the orbs on its wings at the fusion monster. The dark energy wrapped around the venomous dragon, draining all of it's energy.

"Using your evolved dragon against me...just like before..." Yuri remembered.

"This time, I will succeed in destroying you! Battle! Dark Requiem Xyz Dragon, attack Starve Venom Fusion Dragon! Requiest Disaster Disobey-"

"Trap Activate! Ridicule World! All monsters on your fields gains 100 ATK!" Yuri shouted with a sinister grin.

"And through my Trap's effect, monsters with ATKs higher then their original ATKs cannot attack until the end of the turn! You can't touch me!" Yuri maniacally shouted.

"Damn it...you can't escape my wrath for much longer! I set a card facedown, turn end!" Yuto concluded.

At that moment, Dark Requiem and Ridicule World's effects ended, causing the three dragon's ATKs to return to normal.

"I will be the only one left standing! My turn! I activate the Spell Card, Roll of Fate! I roll a dice and the number it lands on is the amount of cards I can draw from my deck! Then, I must send the same amount of cards drawn from the top of my deck to the graveyard! Dice roll, go!" Yugo shouted. The dice flew out of the card and after a few moments, it landed on five. "I draw five cards and then send the top five cards from the top of my deck to the graveyard!"

"The amount of cards you draw won't help you win this duel!" Yuri declared with a grin.

"I'm going to make you eat your words! I activate the Spell Card, Speed Recovery! I can special summon a Speedroid from my graveyard in exchange for not being able to normal summon this turn! Revive, the tuner monster, Speedroid Red Eyed Dice!"

"Now, I tune the level 1 Red Eyes Dice with my level 7 Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!" Yugo shouted as his eyes shined. The tuner turned into a singular green ring that flew around the white dragon. "Spread those wings shining with sacred light! Strike down your enemies with that radiance! SYNCHRO SUMMON! Come forth! Level 8! Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon!"

The blue dragon with shinning crystal armor appeared on the field with a powerful roar.

"Prepare to die! BATTLE! Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon, attack Starve Venom Fusion Dragon! KRYSTALLOS GALE EDGE!" Yugo menacingly shouted. The dragon's armor shined as it flew through the air towards the Fusion Dragon. "At this moment, Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon's effect activates-"

"Not so fast! Continuous Trap, Dark Seed Planter activate! Now all monsters on your field become DARK monsters!" Yuri yelled as the Synchro Dragon's aura became a dark purple color. "And through my card's effect, DARK monsters on my field can't be attacked by other DARK monsters!"

"What?!" Yugo gasped as his dragon stopped it's attack before colliding with the venomous dragon.

"Everything you do is futile! I will destroy both of you and we will become one!" Yuri shouted in a sadistic tone.

"Shut up! I set three cards facedown, turn end!" Yugo concluded.

"HAHAHAHA! Both of you are pathetic! I will be the one that destroys this world once you both become one with me! This is the end! My turn-"

Yuri was cut off by Yuya's duel disk activating, causing him to be electrocuted. The boy took the shock without flinching as he glared at his opponents with his glowing red eyes.

"The final piece is here." Yuri smiled.

"We are finally reunited." Yugo sternly spoke.

"With our power combined, everything will be eradicated." Yuto coldly stated.

"Once we become one...WE WILL REIGN SUPREME! MY TURN!" Yuya violently shouted as he drew. "I activate the Spell Card, Odd Eyes Draw! I send the top card of my deck to the graveyard and if it is a Odd Eyes monster, I get to draw depending on it's level! If it is level 6 or lower, I draw two and if it is level 7 or higher, I can draw three cards!"

Yuya took the card from the top of his deck and sent it to the graveyard, which revealed to be Odd Eyes Gravity Dragon.

"Since the card was the level 7 Odd Eyes Gravity Dragon, I draw three cards!" Yuya shouted as he drew his cards. "With the Scale 1 Odd Eyes Rebellious Magician, and the Scale 8 Odd Eyes Clear Magician, I set the Pendulum Scale!"

The two magicians that shared resemblance with Dark Rebellion and Clear Wing appeared in the sky.

"With this, I can simultaneously summon monsters with levels 2 through 7! Swing Pendulum of my soul! Draw an arc of light across the ether! PENDULUM SUMMON! Come forth, my servants! From my hand, wondrous and beautiful dragon with dichromatic eyes, Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon!"

Three beams of light shot out of the portal in the sky, one of which bringing forth the almighty red dragon with red and green eyes.

"The dragon mysterious and eerie dragon with beautiful dichromatic eyes, Odd Eyes Phantom Dragon!"

The second beam of light brought forth the blue and grey dragon with red and green eyes.

"The dazzling light of salvation that penetrates the darkness of despair, Odd Eyes Saber Dragon!"

The third beam of light brought forth the red dragon with sharp blades protruding from it's shiny white and yellow armor.

Odd Eyes stood in the middle of it's alternate forms before roaring, causing pain for the other three boys.

Yuya's eyes shifted over to Yuto and Yugo, who were both clutching their chests in pain.

As he looked at the two, he subconsciously remembered his duel against Sergey when he stole their power to make himself stronger. He remembered how good it felt to wield that much destructive power.

"Your power will permanently be mine!" Yuya declared with burning red eyes as he held a card from his hand in the air. "By releasing a level 5 or higher monster on my field, I can Advance Summon this monster from my hand! I release Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon!"

Yuya's dragon was surrounded by a circle of flames. The flames then began to rise covering up the dragon and the form of a larger dragon could be seen from within the circle of fire.

"Dragon with burning dual colored eyes, evolve pass your limits and incinerate the world with your eternal flame! Come forth! Level 8! Odd Eyes Advance Dragon!"

Out of the circle of fire, a winged dichromatic dragon appeared with sharp red armor on it's body.

Odd Eyes Advance Dragon (3000/2500) LVL:8

"Advance Dragon's effect activates! When Advance Summoned, I can destroy a monster on your field and inflict damage equal to it's ATK! I destroy Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon! Go, Burning Assault!" Yuya yelled as his dragon's body was engulfed in a surge of flames before flying towards the evolved Synchro Dragon.

"That won't happen! Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon's effect activates! Once per turn, when a monster effect is activated, that effect is negated and that monster is destroyed! Then, Crystal Wing gains the destroyed monster's ATK-"

"At this moment, Dark Requiem Xyz Dragon's effect activates!" Yuto shouted, cutting off the Synchro user. "When an effect is activated that would destroy cards on the field, by using an overlay unit, that effect is negated! Then, I can special summon an Xyz monster from my graveyard! Requiem Call!"

The dark dragon let out a powerful roar, creating a dark wave of energy that paralyzed the blue dragon.

Then, a purple portal appeared beside the evolved Xyz Dragon.

"Revive, Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon!" Yuto shouted as his ace returned in defense mode with a powerful roar. The dragon's arrival to the field caused his counterparts to clutch their chests in pain.

Dark Rebellions Xyz Dragon (2500/2000) RNK: 4

"Grr...with your dragon's effects negated, nothing can save it from destruction!" Yuya growled through the wave of pain.

The burning dragon rushed through the crystal armored dragon, causing a powerful explosion that was about to consume Yugo.

"Trap Activate! Damage Diet! The effect damage is halved!" Yugo countered at the last second before being thrown multiple feet backwards.

YUGO: 3200-1700 LP

"Grr...you'll pay...for that...!" Yugo angrily grunted as he forced himself to his feet.

"BATTLE! Odd Eyes Saber Dragon, attack Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon! Spiral Light Burst!" Yuya yelled as his monster fired a yellow and red spiraling blast that consumed the Xyz Dragon.

"Ghh..." Yuto grunted as he braced himself from the shockwave.

"What?!" Yuto shouted in shock.

"We will become one and your power will be mine forever! I'll never be weak again! Go, Odd Eyes Advance Dragon! Attack him directly!" Yuya pointed at Yugo as his dragon charged a fiery blast as the orbs on it's body shined.

"Trap Activate...Lost Star Descent...!" Yugo uttered through the pain. "I can special summon a Synchro monster in defense mode...with it's DEF reduced to 0...and it's level reduced by 1! Revive...Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!"

As the dragon appeared, the other boys felt even more pain.

"Damn it...obliterate that dragon! Spiral Advance Burst!" Yuya roared as his dragon fired a fiery spiraling blast at the white dragon.

"Trap Activate...Synchro Endurance! A Synchro monster on my field...can't be destroyed by battle this turn!" Yugo countered as his monster pushed through the fiery attack.

"Grr...I will have your power! Go, Odd Eyes Phantom Dragon! Attack him directly! Spiral Flame of Fantasy!" Yuya pointed at Yuto as the boy fired a fiery blue blast at the Xyz user.

"Continuous Trap, Call of the Living Dead activate! Revive, Dark Requiem Xyz Dragon!" Yuto shouted as his evolved ace returned, causing the attack from the weaker dragon to be cancelled.

By shuffling three Fusion Spell Cards into my deck, I can draw a card! I activate the Equip Spell, Predator Graft! I can special summon a Predator Plants monster in the graveyard! Revive, Predator Plants Darling Cobra!"

A purple and white dragon appeared with red horns and large red and yellow orbs with smaller blue orbs on it's body. The dragon ferociously roared, causing venom to drip from it's mouth and burn through the ground.

"That dragon...!" Yuto gasped as the sight of the dragon brought back memories of himself almost being defeated by the dragon.

"Greedy Venom's effect activates! Once per turn, I can target a monster on the field and it's ATK becomes 0! Also, it's effects are negated! I target Dark Requiem Xyz Dragon! Essence Consumption!" Yuri shouted as multiple vines shot out of the purple and white dragon. The vines attached to the black dragon, draining it off all it's energy by infecting it with purple venom.

"With no more set cards, you have nothing left to defend you! Battle! Greedy Venom Fusion Dragon, attack Dark Requiem Xyz Dragon! DROWNING VENOM STREAM!" Yuri shouted as his dragon fired a violet blast of venom at the weakened dragon.

"No...I can't lose...I WILL NEVER LOSE! I WILL MAKE YOU PAY AND WE WILL BECOME ONE!" Yuto shouted as in rage as he grabbed a card in his hand. "Phantom Knights Mirage Master's effect in my hand activates! By sending this card to the graveyard, I can set a Normal Trap Card from my graveyard onto the field! Also, that card can be activated this turn!"

"Eh?" Yuri tilted his head in confusion as a set card materialized onto Yuto's field.

"Trap Activate! Half Unbreak! My dragon isn't destroyed and the damage is halved!" Yuto countered as a clear barrier formed around the evolved Xyz Dragon.

"But you still take damage!" Yuri shouted with a sinister grin.

The blast collided with the barrier, causing a shockwave that knocked Yuto through the air.

"GRAH!" Yuto grunted as his back hit the ground.

"You won't last much longer...I end my turn!" Yuri concluded.

"And don't forget, due to my Dark Seed Planter, you can't attack my dragon with your DARK monsters!" Yuri deviously smirked.

"I...will be the one...that destroys everything! I will reduce the world to nothing once we become one! My turn!" Yuto angrily shouted as he drew. "I activate the Spell Card, Altar of Restoration! By banishing the top two cards of my deck, I add a Spell Card back to my hand!"

Yuto's eyes burned bright as he grabbed a card that popped out of his graveyard slot.

"I add Rank Up Magic Phantom Knights Force back to my hand and then I'll activate it! By banishing Phantom Knights Berserker Blader and Phantom Knights Cursed Javelin, I rank up Dark Requiem Xyz Dragon two ranks higher!" Yuto roared as he thrusted his fist forward.

His dragon roared before turning into dark energy that flew back into the overlay network.

"Fang of Rebellion, descend from the purified darkness and destroy those who oppose your order! Rank Up Xyz Change! Come forth! Rank 7! Dark Anthelion Dragon!" Yuto shouted as the large purple and black hybrid dragon with silver and turquoise armor appeared.

Knowing that he couldn't attack Yuri due to his Continuous Trap, Yuto's attention turned towards Yuya.

"The dragon that came from your power...will be your undoing! BATTLE! Dark Anthelion Dragon, attack Odd Eyes Advance Dragon!" Yuto commanded as his dragon roared. "At this moment, I activate Dark Anthelion's effect! Once per either player's turn, by using an overlay unit, I can target a monster on your field and it loses half of it's ATK while Dark Anthelion gains ATK equal to the lost amount! Also, I gain life points equal to the same amount! Absorb Eclipse!"

After absorbing an overlay unit, energy bursted out of the dragon's wings, restraining the red dragon and draining it's power.

"Damn you! I set a card facedown, turn end!" Yuto concluded.

"I'll destroy all of you! My turn, draw!" Yugo growled as he drew. "I activate the Spell Card, Treasure from the Heavens! Now, all of us draw until we have six cards in our hands!"

In unison, the four boys put their hands on their decks, each glaring at each other with glowing eyes.

The four boys violently drew, creating a powerful force of wind throughout the tunnel.

"This is everything I need for victory! I activate the Spell Card, Monster Reincarnation! I discard a card to add the tuner monster, Speedroid Red Eyed Dice back to my hand and then I'll summon it!"

Clear Wing Machine Dragon!" Yugo shouted as the grey mechanized dragon with green and blue crystals on it's body appeared.

And as soon as Greedy Venom Fusion Dragon is destroyed, all monsters on the field are destroyed and the owners take damage equal to the combined ATK of the destroyed monsters! So try it, I dare you! Ensure my victory!"

A powerful beam of green energy shot out of the crystal on the dragon's chest, engulfing the opposing dragon which severely weakened it.

"That'll be 3000 damage..." Yuri uttered as a nervous smile formed on his face.

"Just enough damage to finish you off! THIS IS THE END FOR YOU! MECHANIZED AERIAL ASSAULT!" Yugo shouted as his dragon dragon flew through the air. The dragon extended it's sharp wings before spiraling downwards while surrounded by blue and green energy.

"HahahaHAHAHA! The fun won't end here! Predator Plants Dionea's effect! By sending this card from my hand to the graveyard when a DARK Fusion monster is attacked, the attack is negated!" Yuri countered as vines shot out of the ground, wrapping around the mechanized dragon and stopping it's attack.

Yugo gritted his teeth in anger has his dragon flew back to his field. He could attack Greedy Venom with his other dragon, but Yuri would still have 500 life points left, meaning Greedy Venom's effect would win him the duel.

The boy with glowing turquoise eyes then turned to face Yuya, growling in anger.

"You tried taking my power...making me weaker...I'll make you pay by using the power you gave me to defeat you! Clear Wing Fast Dragon, attack Odd Eyes Saber Dragon!" Yugo commanded as his white and blue dragon flew through the air towards the armored dragon.

"Fight back, Odd Eyes Saber Dragon!" Yuya shouted as his dragon charged forward.

"Clear Wing Fast Dragon's effect! By targeting, your dragon's ATK becomes 0 and it's effects are negated! Distortion Mirror!" Yugo cried as his dragon's wings released a binding beam of blue light that wrapped around the opposing dragon.

"Grr..." Yuya grunted.

"WE WILL BECOME ONE! RAPID SKY DROP CHARGE!" Yugo roared as his hybrid dragon surrounded itself in blue energy before spiraling towards the opposing dragon.

The white and blue dragon smashed through the dragon, causing a powerful explosion that headed for Yuya.

"Entermate Balloon Barrier Tapir's effect in my hand activates! By discarding this card, the damage is reduced to 0!" Yuya countered as he was surrounded by a clear barrier.

"Damn you! I set two cards facedown, turn end!" Yugo concluded as Greedy Venom's ATK returned to normal due to Machine Dragon's effect ending.

Out for the portal in the sky, four lights shot out of the portal in the sky, revealing Yuya's dragon along with the three Entermates.

The energy was absorbed into the dragon, giving it a green aura.

Supreme King White Dragon - Odd Eyes Wing Dragon!"

The red and green eyed hybrid dragon with white and black armor and sharp light blue crystals appeared with a powerful roar.

Supreme King Black Dragon - Odd Eyes Rebellion Dragon!" Yuya shouted as the red and green eyed hybrid dragon with pitch-black armor and two fangs on it's chin appeared.

Yuya shouted as he pointed up in the air at his dragon. The dragon shot a powerful blue binding light from the crystal's on it's body which wrapped around the white and green dragon.

"Damn..." Yugo grunted.

"Odd Eyes Wing Dragon's first effect now continues! DICHROIC DESTRUCTION!" Yuya screamed as his dragon's extended out it's wings, releasing a white hurricane of energy.

The white hurricane then consumed Fast Dragon, Machine Dragon, Dark Anthelion, and Greedy Venom, causing a powerful explosion that knocked the other three boys back.

"YOU JUST SEALED YOUR FATE!" Yuri grinned as a a wave of venom formed on the field where Greedy Venom was destroyed. "Greedy Venom's effect activates! All of your monsters are destroyed and you take damage equal to their combined ATKs!"

The wave of venom rushed for Yuya's three dragons, but Drago Remora jumped in front of the hybrids.

"Drago Remora's effect! As long as this card is on the field, my dragon-type monsters can't be destroyed by card effects!" Yuya countered as the coin shined, creating a transparent barrier that protected Yuya's dragons.

"Interesting...but Greedy Venom's other effect activates! After being destroyed, by banishing one of it's fusion materials, I can special summon it back to the field! I banish Predator Plants Darling Cobra! Resurrect, Greedy Venom Fusion Dragon!" Yuri shouted as his evolved ace returned in defense mode.

The dragon's crystal began glowing brightly causing the hybrid to be surrounded by bright blue energy. The dragon whirled as it flew up in the air and then dove down at even higher speeds at the white dragon.

"Trap Activate! Supreme King's Aura! By targeting Clear Wing, it cannot leave the field until the end of my next turn!" Yugo countered as his dragon gained a powerful green aura, knocking away the incoming attack.

"Then I'll just take you out!" Yuya growled as he pointed at Yuto. "Odd Eyes Rebellion Dragon, attack him directly! ERASE HIM FROM THIS WORLD! Rebellious Wrath - STRIKE DISOBEY!"

Purple electricity coursed through the black hybrid dragon's body as it flew forward, tearing through the ground with it's fangs.

"I will not be defeated by my own power! Trap Activate! Mirror Shade! By paying half of my life points, I take no damage during this turn!" Yuto shouted as he was hit by electricity while a clear barrier formed around him.

Yuya and Yugo grunted in anger as Yuri sadistically licked his lips.

A circle of flames appeared in front of Yuto with two alters on opposites. The right alter had a gold flame while the left alter had a purple flame.

But if I have an Xyz Dragon on my field, I can treat monsters with ranks as having level equal to their ranks! I release Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon which is treated as level 4 and the level 4 Phantom Knights Fragile Armor!" Yuto shouted as his monsters appeared in the circles of flames. The monsters split into balls of fires that flew around the circle. "Dragon born from the raging flames of war! Resurrect with a burning vengeance and destroy everything with your apocalyptic power! RITUAL SUMMON! Come forth! Level 8! DARK REBELLION APOCALYPSE DRAGON!"

The large Ritual dragon appeared which had black armor with golden orbs and purple energy coursing through it. The dragon roared as it bursted out of the flames.

"But due to Dark Seed Planter's effect, your DARK monster can't attack Greedy Venom!" Yuri shouted.

"Clear Wing can't be destroyed and I won't take damage since it's in defense mode!" Yugo yelled.

"You two may be safe for now...BUT YOU AREN'T!" Yuto ferociously shouted as he pointed at Yuya.

"Grr..." Yuya grunted as his eyes twitched.

"BATTLE! Dark Rebellions Apocalypse Dragon, attack Entermate Drago Remora and Odd Eyes Rebellion Dragon! BURN HIM TO ASHES! BLAZING ARMAGEDDON IMPACT!" Yuto roared as the dragon opened it's mouth and fired a gold and purple spiral of fire.

"I won't be defeated...I will become the strongest...and no one will ever hurt me again!"

Yuya clenched his fist as he desperately spoke before looking up at the incoming attack with blazing eyes.

"...Trap Activate! Last Minute Cancel! My monsters are switched to defense mode!" Yuya countered at the last possible second.

The spiraling flames consumed the two dragons and the force of the attack threw Yuya backwards.

"Ghh...Trap Activate...Pendulum Reborn! Revive from my Extra Deck...Supreme King Black Dragon - Odd Eyes Rebellion Dragon!" Yuya shouted through the pain as his black dragon returned.

"DAMN YOU!" Yuto angrily roared, causing his voice to echo throughout the tunnel. "I set two cards facedown, turn end!"

"I will show you the power of the strongest evolution! MY TURN!" Yugo shouted as his violent draw created a powerful force of wind. "From my hand, I summon Speedroid Swift Slicer!"

The toy robot carrying a sword appeared next to Yugo's dragon.

"Swift Slicer's effect! By banishing Speedroid Beigomax, I can target and destroy a Spell or Trap on your field! I target Supreme King's Pressure!" Yugo yelled as his tiny monster charged forward and sliced through the Equip Spell.

"Tch..." Yuri clicked his tongue in annoyance.

"Now, I activate the Spell Card, Monster Reborn! Revive, the tuner monster, Speedroid Red Eyed Dice!"

"Now, I tune my level 1 Speedroid Red-Eyed Dice to my level 2 Swift Slicer! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 3! The Synchro tuner monster, High-Speedroid Cork-10!" Yugo shouted as a green and purple toy gun appeared beside Yugo.

"Cork-10's effect activates! When this card is Synchro Summoned, I can choose to activate either one of two effects! The first effect allows me to add a Speedroid Spell or Trap to my hand! The second effect lets me special summon this card's Synchro materials from the graveyard if they are all Speedroid monsters! I choose the first effect!" Yugo explained as a card popped out of his duel disk.

"To bring out that dragon, your mind has to be clear like last time! There's no way you should be to reach that state!" Yuto shouted.

"That's not true..." Yugo uttered as he closed his eyes. "...My mind is clear...nothing else matters...except my one goal...to become one! CLEAR MIND!"

A familiar bright red light surrounded Yugo as his dragon flew down to his level. Yugo hopped on his ace's back before the dragon began flying around the battlefield in a large circle, leaving a red trail of light behind.

"I tune my level 3 Synchro Tuner, High-Speedroid Cork-10 to my level 7 Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!" Yugo shouted as the machine-type turned into three rings that the dragon flew through at incredible speeds. "Majestic dragon flying at the speed of light! Refine your brilliant wings in the light of evolution and accelerate towards the future! ACCEL SYNCHRO!"

As Yugo and Clear Wing were consumed by the red light, the two briefly disappeared.

"What the hell?!" Yuya gasped.

"Where did he go?!" Yuri growled.

"Materialize! Level 10! Crystal Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!"

In a powerful flash from above the three boys, Yugo stood on the back of his evolved dragon. It had dark blue skin with white, cyan, and gold armor. The dragon had many sharp green crystals protruding from it's armor and it also had a long black and green tail that extended out of it's lower body. The dragon's wings were made of green crystals that protruded from it's back.

Crystal Clear Wing Synchro Dragon (3300/2500) LVL: 10

"No...not again...!" Yuto nervously grunted as he looked at the dragon that had previously beaten him.

"HAHAHA! BATTLE! Crystal Clear Wing Synchro Dragon, attack the weakened Greedy Venom Fusion Dragon! SHINNING TEMPEST DRIVE!"

The dragon flew upwards while surrounded by a whirlwind of shinning green energy before descending towards the opposing dragon. The white dragon charged through it's opponent, causing a powerful explosion that forced Yuri to slide backwards.

YURI: 3000-1350 LP

"HAHAHA! Greedy Venom's effect activates! When this monster is destroyed, all monsters on the field are destroyed and the owners take damage equal to the combined ATK of the destroyed monsters! DISAPPEAR!" Yuri screamed as a wave of venom formed where the dragon once stood.

"Crystal Clear Wing's effect activates! Once per either player's turn, when the opponent activates a monster effect, this card gains ATK equal to that monster's original ATK until the end of this turn! Also, this card is unaffected by the opponent's monster effects during this turn! RADIANT MIRROR!" Yugo shouted as his dragon roared. The dragon's crystals glowed brightly, causing a green whirlwind of energy to surround it.

Crystal Clear Wing (3300/2500)-(6600/2500)

"You bastard...you triggered Greedy Venom's effect to take us out while knowing your dragon would be safe!" Yuto shouted in anger as the wave of venom approached Odd Eyes Rebellion and Dark Rebellion Apocalypse.

"That's right!" Yugo sinisterly grinned.

"You bastard...I refuse to lose! Entermate Pendulum Guardian's effect activates in my hand! By discarding this card, I can negate the destruction of a Pendulum monster!" Yuya countered as a warrior clad in red appeared with a blue shield with the image of Yuya's Pendulum on it. The warrior flew in front of the black hybrid dragon and protected it from the venom.

"Trap Activate! Phantom Knights Wing!" Yuto shouted as his second copy of the card flipped up.

"Crystal Clear Wing's effect activates! Once per turn, the activation of your Spell or Trap card is negated and it's destroyed! Dichroic Force!" Yugo roared as a green cyclone appeared around the card, causing it to shatter.

"...You really think that will be enough?! I was prepared for your dragon's effect this time! Continuous Trap, Supreme King's Armor activate! By targeting Dark Rebellion Apocalypse, it can't be destroyed by battle or card effects!" Yuto countered as his dragon gained spiky black chest armor, allowing it to push through the venom.

"So close...!" Yugo grunted.

"My dragon isn't done just yet! Greedy Venom's final effect! By banishing one of it's fusion materials, I can special summon Greedy Venom Fusion Dragon from the graveyard! I banish Starving Venom Fusion Dragon! Revive, Greedy Venom Fusion Dragon!"

Greedy Venom Fusion Dragon (3300/2500) LVL:10

"Tch...it's not over! Quick Play Spell, Supreme King Assault! Since my dragon-type monster destroyed a monster, it can attack another monsterin a row!" Yugo exclaimed as he looked over at Yuto.

"Grr...bring it on!" Yuto yelled.

"Crystal Clear Wing Synchro Dragon, attack Dark Rebellion Apocalypse Dragon! SHINNING TEMPEST DRIVE!" Yugo screamed as his dragon was surrounded by green energy before charging at the opposing dragon.

"My dragon can't be destroyed by battle!"

"But you still take the damage!" Yugo shouted as his dragon rammed into the Ritual monster, causing a powerful shockwave that knocked Yuto through the air.

"GAAAH!" Yuto gasped for air as his back slammed against the ground.

"I set a card facedown, turn end!" Yugo concluded with a satisfied smirk as he hoped off the back of his dragon.

Crystal Clear Wing (6600/2500)-(3300/2500)

"You'll pay for that!" Yuto growled as he got up.

"I don't think so! You fell to the power of my dragon once and you'll fall again! You all will!" Yugo exclaimed.

"Hilarious! My dragon isn't even closed to satisfied! We won't stop until you are all devoured!" Yuri grinned.

"...Pathetic...you're all pathetic..."

The three boys turned their heads to their pendulum counterpart who was currently looking down at the ground.

"What did you say?!" Yuto shouted.

"...Greedy Venom Fusion Dragon...Crystal Clear Wing Synchro Dragon...Dark Rebellion Apocalypse Dragon...is this really all the power you've accumulated?" Yuya asked in a tone that was even deeper then before.

"What the hell do you mean by that?!" Yugo questioned.

"...I've used our power...his power... to create creatures that are unbeatable...the power of Pendulum is limitless! I'll demonstrate that right now by obliterating your strongest monsters! I WILL BE THE ONE THAT REIGNS SUPREME! GRAAAH!"

As Yuya let out a furious cry, the dark aura surrounding him expanded outwards, becoming a whirlwind of dark energy that surrounded the four counterparts. The boy's eyes flashed between red and yellow while his hair pointed straight up.

"My turn...DRAW!" Yuya roared as he ferociously drew. "I activate the Spell Card, Magical Thunder! By discarding a Spell Card in my hand, I can target a card on the field and destroy it-"

"I won't let you! Crystal Clear Wing's effect! Once per turn, the activation of your Spell or Trap card is negated and it's destroyed! Dichroic Force!" Yugo roared as a green cyclone appeared around the card, causing it to shatter.

"Heh...now that I got you to use your dragon's effect...the real fun can begin!" Yuya shouted with a malicious grin as his eyes flashed yellow once more.

"Tch...you baited me...!" Yugo grunted.

"With the set scale, I can simultaneously summon monsters with levels 2 through 7! PENDULUM SUMMON! Come forth, my monster servants! From my Extra Deck, the tuner monster, Entermate Odd Eyes Synchron! Entermate Drago Remora! Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon!"

The three beams of light shot of the portal in the sky and the three Pendulum monsters appeared beside Odd Eyes Rebellion.

"Odd Eyes Clear Magician's Pendulum effect activates! I can target a dragon-type monster on the field and change it's level to 1! Also, the target becomes a tuner monster! I target Odd Eyes Wing Dragon! Do it, Odd Eyes Clear Magician!" Yuya roared. The magician pointed it's prismatic blade at the dragon and fired a beautiful green beam of energy. The energy was absorbed into the dragon, giving it a green aura.

Odd Eyes Wing LVL: 7-1

"Now, prepare to feel true despair! I tune the level 1 Odd Eyes Wing Dragon to the level 7 Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon!" Yuya yelled as his left eye gained a turquoise glow.

"GAH!" Yugo gasped for air as his glowing eyes began to blink while his power was being drained.

"Dragon with dual colored eyes! Dye your wings in the depths of the hopelessness and return all things to the void! SYNCHRO SUMMON! Come forth! Level 8! The forsaken dragon who heralds ruination! Supreme King Despair Dragon - ODD EYES EXTINCTION DRAGON!"

In a large flash of dark light, the menacing Synchro-Pendulum dragon appeared. The dragon had red scales that were covered by ghostly white armor. The dragon had six crystalline wings that gave off dark turquoise light. The dragon's crystal wings were extremely sharp and jaded, with multiple cracks on their surfaces. The dragon had muscular arms and deadly sharp claws. Like the Synchro Dragons, the dragon had a large tail covered in white armor for it's lower body. But, the tail had a large prismatic blade at the end. The dragon had a sinister green orb in the middle of it's body that acted like void, consuming the light around the dragon. The dragon's red and green eyes shined through the darkness as it maliciously roared.

Odd Eyes Extinction Dragon (3000/2500) LVL: 8

"Odd Eyes Extinction Dragon's effect activates! When this card is Synchro Summoned...ALL SPELLS AND TRAPS ON YOUR FIELD ARE DESTROYED!" Yuya shouted as a powerful hurricane shredded Dark Seed Planter and Supreme King's Armor, and Yugo's set card.

"Greedy Venom can now be attacked by his monsters...!" Yuri said to himself in an irritated tone.

"Dark Rebellion Apocalypse is no longer protected...!" Yuto angrily grunted.

"Pendulum Recreation's effect in the graveyard activates! By banishing this card and paying half of my life points..." Yuya began as he was shocked by electricity.

"I can special summon a Pendulum monster from my graveyard or Extra Deck with it's effects negated! Rise, Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon!"

"Odd Eyes Rebellious Magician's effect activates!Once per turn, I can target a dragon-type Xyz monster on my field and for the rest of the turn, it is treated as having the level of another dragon-type monster on the field! I target Odd Eyes Rebellion Dragon and it's treated as a level 7 monster like Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon!" Yuya shouted as the magician released purple electricity from the orb on it's scepter which engulfed the black dragon.

"The time has come for everything to burn! I overlay my level 7 Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon and Odd Eyes Rebellion Dragon!" Yuya maliciously cried as his left eye gained a dark blue glow. The two dragons turned into dark energy that flew into the overlay network.

"GAH!" Yuto cried as he clenched his heart. His glowing eyes also began to blink as his power was being drained.

"Dragon with dual-colored eyes! Resurrect from the deep darkness and incinerate everything on the earth with the flames of rage! XYZ SUMMON! Come forth! Rank 7! The blazing dragon called by calamity! Supreme King Violent Dragon – ODD EYES RAGING DRAGON!"

Out of a burst of raging flames, the burning Xyz-Pendulum dragon arrived. The dragon had piercing red and green eyes. It had crimson red and black armored scales with black wings that had 10 orange flames protruding out of them. The dragon had grey claws and a single red and green orbs on it's wings. It had a blue orb in the middle of it's body.

Odd Eyes Raging Dragon (3000/2500) RNK: 7 OVU: 2

"Odd Eyes Raging Dragon's effect activates! By using both overlay units, all other cards the field are destroyed! Also, Odd Eyes Raging Dragon gains 200 ATK points for each card! And my other dragon-type monsters won't be destroyed thanks to Drago Remora's effect! Incinerate this world! BURNING DECIMATION!" Yuya shouted as his dragon crushed the two overlay unites in it's hands. The dragon roared ferociously as the flames on it's wings bursted outwards.

"Supreme King's Pressure's effect activates in my graveyard! By banishing this card, Greedy Venom isn't destroyed!" Yuri countered as his dragon's eyes glowed, causing a violet energy barrier to form around it.

"Crystal Clear Wing's effect activates! When an opponent's monster activates an effect, Once per either player's turn, when the opponent activates a monster effect, this card gains ATK equal to that monster's original ATK until the end of this turn! Also, this card is unaffected by the opponent's monster effects during this turn! RADIANT MIRROR!" Yugo shouted as his dragon roared. The dragon's crystals glowed brightly, causing a green whirlwind of energy to surround it.

The two dragons roared, causing the entire tunnel to shake.

"This power...!" Yuri said before grinning like a mad man. This is the battle he's always wanted to have.

Unlike Yuri, Yuto and Yugo were barely managing to stay on their feet due to their power being taken by Yuya once more.

"My fun...HAS JUST BEGUN!" Yuya shouted a twisted version of his catchphrase with a sinister grin on his face. "BATTLE! Odd Eyes Extinction Dragon, attack Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon!CALAMITY VOID BREAK!"

As Yuya commanded his dragon, his left eye changed back to a turquoise glow. The dragon roared as it's wings began absorbing the light around it, similarly to a black hole, causing it to gain a sinisterly dark aura. The dragon flew forward at incredibly fast speeds, slicing through the dark dragon with it's sharp and jaded crystalline wings.

"Dark Rebellion!" Yuto yelled before the force of the explosion caused him to slide backwards.

"Odd Eyes Extinction Dragon's effect activates! When this card destroys a monster by battle, it gains the destroyed monster's ATK! DRAINING MIRROR!" Yuya shouted as the dragon's eyes glowed while it's wings began to absorb the remaining particles of the destroyed monster, causing the green orb in it's core glow.

Odd Eyes Extinction (3500/2500)-(6000/2500)

"It's not over! When my dragon destroys a monster by battle, it can attack another monster again! Odd Eyes Extinction Dragon, attack Greedy Venom Fusion Dragon! CALAMITY VOID BREAK!" Yuya yelled as his dichroic eyes shined.

The dragon flew forward at incredibly fast speeds, slicing through the white and purple dragon with it's sharp and jaded crystalline wings. The force of ensuing explosion forced Yuri to take a knee.

"Since you already banished both of your Fusion materials, you're dragon can't revive!" Yuya roared.

"That may be true, but I still won't be defeated!Predator Plants Dionea's effect activates in my graveyard! By banishing this card when a DARK Fusion monster is destroyed by battle, any damage I take during this turn is reduced to 0!" Yuri grinned as a wall of thorny vines shot out of the ground in front of the boy.

"Grr..." Yuya grunted as his fist tightened. "...Odd Eyes Extinction Dragon's effect activates! When this card destroys a monster by battle, it gains the destroyed monster's ATK! DRAINING MIRROR!"

Odd Eyes Extinction (6000/2500)-(9300/2500)

"9300 ATK..." Yugo nervously uttered as sweat formed on his face.

"YOU'RE NEXT!" Yuya shouted at Yugo as his dragon let an earth-shaking screech. "BATTLE! Odd Eyes Extinction Dragon, attack Crystal Clear Wing Synchro Dragon! ERADICATE HIM! CALAMITY VOID BREAK!"

The dragon consumed by dark energy flew through the air faster then ever at the white and blue dragon. It's jaded wings shined as it closed in on it's target.

"Supreme King's Aura's effect activates in my graveyard! By banishing this card when a dragon-type monster is attacked, the damage is halved!" Yugo shouted in desperation as a green barrier formed around him.

"That's still 1500 damage! YOU LOSE!" Yuya maliciously screamed as his dragon's crystalline wings sliced through the dragon, causing a powerful explosion that headed for Yugo.

"Synchro Endurance's effect activates in my graveyard! By banishing this card, damage I take from a battle involving a Synchro monster I control is halved!" Yugo countered as another layer was added to the barrier.

"Halving the damage twice?!" Yuya shouted in shock.

The two layer barrier stopped the explosion, but the force of the blast caused a powerful shockwave that sent Yugo flying into the wall of the subway.

"GRAAH!"

YUGO: 850-100 LP

"You're evolved dragons were nothing compared to my power!" Yuya screamed at his counterparts with a vicious smile.

"...Ghh...damn it...!" Yugo grunted in pain as he slowly got off the ground.

"You bastard...!" Yuto growled in anger.

"Interesting...!" Yuri madly grinned.

"Now...you're power will permanently be mine!" Yuya shouted at his weakened Synchro and Xyz counterparts. "Odd Eyes Raging Dragon can attack twice per turn! THIS IS THE END FOR YOU BOTH!"

As the burning dragon let out an ear-piercing roar, Yuya's left eye gained a dark blue glow once more.

"Go, Odd Eyes Raging Dragon! Attack Yuto directly! BURN HIM ALIVE! DESTRUCTION FURY BURST!"

As the dragon powerfully roared, the flames on it's wings grew even brighter. The dragon cocked it's head backwards and large circle of azure flames formed in front of it's body. The dragon whipped it's head forward and fired a powerful blast of orange flames into the circle, creating a powerful burst of purple and orange.

As Yuto stared at the incoming attack, thoughts of hatred flooded his mind due to the fiery attack reminding him of his homeland being consumed by flames of war.

"...I can't lose...I will be the one...THAT DESTROYS EVERYTHING! Supreme King's Armor's effect activates in my graveyard! When I'm attack directly, I can special summon a dragon-type monster that was destroyed by battle during this turn! Rise, Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon!" Yuto yelled as his ace revived once more.

Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon (2500/2000) RNK: 4

"And due Supreme King Armor's effect, Dark Rebellion cannot be destroyed by battle this turn!" Yuto yelled as his dragon shielded itself from the flames with it's wings.

"Damn it...Odd Eyes Raging Dragon, attack Yugo directly! INCINERATE HIM! DESTRUCTION FURY BURST!"

The dragon's roar echoed throughout the tunnel before firing another powerful wave of purple and orange flames at the defenseless Synchro user.

"...The Trap Card, Speedroid Mach Barrier's effect activates in my graveyard!" Yugo exclaimed at the top of his lungs in a desperate tone.

"...The card you added to your hand through Cork-10's effect...that my dragon destroyed...!" Yuya uttered as he realized his counterpart prepared for his moves.

"...By banishing this card, I can draw a card and send it to the graveyard and if it's a Speedroid monster...the incoming direct attack is negated!"

After explaining his card's effect, Yugo gripped the top card of his deck. Thoughts of the boy when he was younger starving for food on the streets as others walked over him flooded his mind.

"...I will never be pathetic again...I WILL REIGN SUPREME OVER EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE!DRAW!" Yugo powerfully roared as he drew. "The card was Speedroid Glass Skull! Meaning, the attack is negated!"

As Yugo discarded the card, a force of wind blew away the flames.

"...YOU BASTARD!" Yuya demonically yelled in anger.

"And through my Trap's effect, since the monster that was sent to the graveyard was level 7, I can special summon a level 7 or lower WIND monsterwith it's effects negated! Revive, Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!"

"Grr...despite your survival...you have all been outclassed! You've used your strongest monsters and yet you were still beaten! You have nothing left! I WILL BE THE LAST ONE STANDING!" Yuya declared as his left eye became red once more. "I set two cards facedown, turn end!"

"...Hehehe!" Yuri bursted into laughter, causing Yuya's eyes to twitch.

"If I were you, I would be taking the fate of your existence seriously!" Yuya sneered.

"Sorry, I just can't help it! This duel is exactly what I've been craving!" Yuri grinned as he licked his lips.

"Why you-"

Yuya stopped mid-sentence as a source of light could be seen in the distance. The four boys whipped their heads around to see Ruri leading Yuzu, Serena, and Rin.

"Yuto, is that really you?" Ruri tearfully questioned.

"Yugo?! What the hell are you doing?!" Rin shouted in confusion.

"I-It's really you..." Serena nervously uttered as she looked at the purple and pink haired boy.

Yuzu remained silent as she stared at Yuya with a horrified look in her eyes.

"You cannot interfere." Yuto began.

"Our fates have already been decided." Yugo continued.

"By the end of this duel..." Yuri trailed off.

"...we will become one! There's nothing you can do to stop us...Ray!" Yuya angrily shouted as his eyes flickered between red and yellow once more.

As Yuzu locked eyes with Yuya, the image of her love with his hair completely spiked up and yellow eyes briefly shifted to an image of an older boy with spiked up silver and green hair, a white and blue jacket, and yellow eyes.

"...Y-You are...!" Yuzu stuttered as if something inside of her was shaking in fear. Despite not knowing who the boy was that she saw in Yuya's place, she couldn't help but feel an immense sense of fear.

"Why do they look...possessed...?" Ruri asked in fear as she fearfully looked at Yuto.

"I don't know...but whatever is happening...we have to stop it from escalating any further!" Serena shouted as she prepared to activate her duel disk.

"That won't be happening!" Yuya shouted as he waved his arm through the air, causing the dark whirlwind he created before to expand outwards.

Rin looked at the injured and drained Yugo, causing her anger to rise and her bracelet to shine.

"I don't know what's going on...but I won't let you hurt Yugo!" Rin yelled as she instinctively stuck her bracelet hand out. The light from the bracelet collided with the dark whirlwind, causing it to disperse.

"Tch...in that case, I'll just incinerate you for your insolence! Odd Eyes Raging Dragon, send them to the afterlife! DESTRUCTION FURY BURST!" Yuya commanded as his dragon launched a powerful blast of orange and purple flames.

"YUYA!" Yuzu cried out with tears in her eyes but Yuya was unmoved.

Rin's bracelet shined, countering the flames with a green energy barrier.

"Fight back the darkness!" Serena yelled as her bracelet gave off a purple glow.

As the four boys caught glance of the purple light, the glow in their eyes softened, causing them to grip his head and cry out in pain.

"GRAAAH!" The counterparts screeched in agony.

"Whatever is controlling them...it's too strong...!" Serena uttered in fear.

"Yuto, please stop this!" Ruri cried out, but Yuto completely ignored the girl's words.

"Yugo, snap out of it!" Rin yelled, but Yugo didn't even budge.

"Go, Dark Rebellion!"

"Do it, Clear Wing!"

The dark dragon flapped it's wings, causing a surge of purple electricity to fly through the air at the girls while the white dragon opened it's mouth and fired a green blast of energy from it's mouth. The attacks combined with the hybrid dragon's fiery attack, causing a powerful explosion that shattered the green barrier and sent the four girls flying backwards.

"GAAAH!" They screamed as they were flung through the air before landing on the hard subway floor.

Yuzu weakly opened her eyes to see the unconscious bodies of her three counterparts. Since she was the furthest from the explosion due to being frozen by fear, she barely managed to hold on.

"With the four of us together, our power far exceeds yours!" Yuya shouted at the injured girls.

"Especially since one of your precious bracelets have been damaged!" Yuri sneered.

"D-Don't tell me...back then...your dragon went for my bracelet...on purpose...?" Yuzu asked through before wincing in pain.

"Someone catches on quickly~." Yuri grinned.

"There's nothing you can do to stop us!" Yuto yelled.

"We will reign supreme!" Yugo shouted.

"We will become one!" Yuya roared.

"...If my bracelet wasn't broken...I could separate them...but I can't do that right now...I'm so helpless...!" Yuzu weakly grimaced.

"Now, with that unwelcome intrusion taken care of, we can now continue!" Yuri sadistically smiled.

"Take your final turn! You all have nothing left to stand against me! Soon enough, you all will become one with me and I will be the strongest!" Yuya exclaimed.

"I commend you on going as far as taking your own friends' strength to win. As a reward...I'll show you something similar!" Yuri closed his eyes as he was wrapped in a dark aura.

"What the hell...?" Yuya uttered as the blinking yellow glow in his eyes subsided.

As Yuri opened his eyes, the three other counterparts gasped as his eyes were now blinking between purple and yellow.

"Y-You can also use...his power...in such a way...?!" Yuya asked as his eyes widened.

"That's right!" Yuri grinned as he held his arm out towards Yuya.

The red and green haired boy took a step back as his surroundings were replaced with a black void.

"No...I'm the one with true power of Pendulum...I am the one who controls our connection...not you!" Yuya growled as he looked around for the boy in the black abyss.

"Our connection goes both ways...and right now...his power is mine...and so is your power!"

Yuya turned around to see the boy with purple and yellow glowing eyes lunging at him, grabbing the Pendulum around his neck. As the boy made contact with it, a powerful explosion of light blinded the two and brought them back to reality.

Yuya gasped for air as he clutched his Pendulum before looking at his grinning opponent.

"What...have you...done...?"

"You're about to find out! Here we go! From my hand, I summon Predator Plants Squid Drosera!" Yuri shouted as the carnivorous weed appeared.

Predator Plants Squid Drosera (400/800) LVL: 2

"Now is the time! This card signifies our evident unification! Quick Play Spell, Super Fusion activate!" Yuri shouted like a mad manl.

"Super..." Yuto trailed off.

"...Fusion?!" Yugo gasped.

"This powerful card allows me to use monsters on any player's field as fusion materials for a Fusion Summon!" Yuri deviously explained.

"Fusion materials from any player's field?!" Yuya yelled as his eyes widened in fear.

"I fuse Odd Eyes Raging Dragon and Predator Plants Squid Drosera!" Yuri shouted while extended his arms outwards.

"Odd Eyes Raging Dragon!" Yuya screamed as his dragon was dragged into the fusion vortex alongside the plant.

"Beautiful flower with an insect-alluring fragrance, become one with the burning dragon will rage-filled eyes and give birth to a dangerous predator! FUSION SUMMON! Come forth! Level 7! Starve Venemy Dragon!"

In a flash of blinding purple light, the image of a new dragon appeared on the battlefield with a powerful roar. The dragon was very similar to Starve Venom in which it's body was primarily purple and green and looked to be made from vines. The bottom half of the dragon was a swarm of purple vines that implanted into the ground, like a carnivorous plant. The dragon had red and yellow orbs along it's head and upper body. It had large armor-like vines protruding from it's shoulders that were blue and green along with blue claws. The dragon also had a large circular shaped vine protruding from it's back.

Starve Venemy Dragon (2500/2000) LVL: 7

"A...Fusion-Pendulum monster...?!" Yuya uttered in disbelief before shaking his head. "Even so...that monster only has 2500 ATK! It's nothing compared to my dragons!"

"My dragon may have less ATK...but it does have one nasty effect!" Yuri roared before raising his hand up in the air. "Starve Venemy Dragon's effect activates! By targeting a monster an opponent controls, this card gains the target's name and effects! Not only that, the target loses 500 ATK and the owner of the target takes 500 damages! I target Odd Eyes Extinction Dragon! Toxic Infection!" Yuya shouted as the dragon roared. The dragon's purple vines from it's lower body shot out of the ground towards Yuya's field. The toxic vines wrapped around the hybrid dragon while a few of them headed directly for Yuya.

"I won't be defeated in such a way! Counter Trap, Supreme King's Barrier! While I control a dragon-type monster, an instance of battle or effect damage is negated!" Yuya yelled as a yellow energy barrier protected him from the incoming damage.

Odd Eyes Extinction (3500/2500)-(3000/2500)

"Now, I activate the Spell Card, Supreme King's Challenge! While I control a dragon-type monster, all monsters on my opponent's field are switched to ATK position!"

Drago Remora (2200/1000)-(2200/1000)

Dark Rebellion (2500/2000)-(2500/2000)

Clear Wing (2500/2000)-(2500/2000)

"BATTLE! Starve Venemy Dragon, attack Entermate Drago Remora!"

"Supreme King's Barrier's effect activates in my graveyard! By banishing this card while I control a dragon-type monster, an instance of damage is reduced to 0!" Yuya shouted in desperation as the barrier protected him.

"Starve Venemy's new effect activates! When this monster destroys another monster by battle, it gains the destroyed monster's ATK! DRAINING MIRROR!" Yuri shouted as the dragon's eyes glowed while it began to absorb the remaining particles of the destroyed monster, causing it to gains a dark aura.

Starving Venemy (2500/2000)-(4700/2000)

"It's not over! When my dragon destroys a monster by battle, it can attack another monster again, isn't that right?!" Yuri sneered while glaring at Yuya.

"...Grr...this can't be...!" Yuya grunted.

"...I'll begin with the prey that got away from me last time! Go, Starve Venemy Dragon! Attack Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon!"

The fusion-pendulum hybrid thrusted it's arm forward with a powerful battle cry, causing vines to shoot out of it's body.

Yuto's eyes widened in disbelief before his expression suddenly dropped as if he was suddenly possessed.

"...It's time..." Yuto uttered as if he already accepted his fate. The vines shot through the dark dragon's core, causing a powerful explosion which consumed the Xyz counterpart.

YUTO: 125-0 LP

"...Y-Yuto...!" Yuzu cried before beginning to muster her remaining strength to get off the ground.

"Starve Venemy's effect activates! When this monster destroys another monster by battle, it gains the destroyed monster's ATK! DRAINING MIRROR!" Yuri shouted as the dragon's eyes glowed while it began to absorb the remaining particles of the destroyed monster, causing it to gains a dark aura.

Starving Venemy (4700/2000)-(7200/2000)

"Not only that, Starve Venemy can attack a monster again! You're next, Fusion! Starve Venemy Dragon, attack Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!"

With a ferocious roar, the dragon commanded another burst of venomous vines that headed for the white dragon.

Much like his Xyz counterpart, Yugo's expression dropped as if he was overcome by something.

"...Our revival is near..." Yugo uttered before the vines shot through the center of the dragon, causing a powerful explosion that consumed the Synchro counterpart.

YUGO: 100-0 LP

"...Yugo...no!" Yuzu screamed as she finally managed to get up before weakly limping towards the vortex of dark energy that was surrounding the four boys.

"Starve Venemy's effect! When this monster destroys another monster by battle, it gains the destroyed monster's ATK! DRAINING MIRROR!" Yuri shouted as the dragon's eyes glowed while it began to absorb the remaining particles of the destroyed monster, causing it to gains a dark aura.

Starving Venemy (7200/2000)-(9700/2000)

"And you know what happens next!" Yuri grinned.

"...Your dragon...can make another attack..." Yuya uttered as he looked down in defeat, causing darkness to cover his face.

"It is decided! I will be the one that reigns supreme! We will become one!" Yuri roared.

"...We...will...become...one..." Yugo and Yuto weakly said in unison from the ground.

"We will...become-"

"STOP IT, YUYA!"

Breaking away from the trance, Yuya slowly looked up with his glowing eyes and glared at Yuzu, who was currently fighting against the current of dark energy.

"Yuya...don't let yourself be controlled! Don't become a monster!" Yuzu screamed.

"...It is our fate to become one..." Yuya softly said, excepting defeat.

"I...won't let you give up, Yuya!" Yuzu yelled as her cracked bracelet began to glow, causing her to be enveloped in a flash of pink light.

A bright light flashed in front of Yuya and Yuzu was there, standing in front of him.

"How did you-"

"Fight back...Yuya..."

With the last of her strength, Yuzu lunged forward and hugged the berserk duelist, causing his eyes to widen.

"You're too late, Ray!" Yuri angrily shouted with a yellow glow in his eyes. "I'll obliterate you both! Starve Venemy Dragon, attack Odd Eyes Extinction Dragon! VIRULENT SAVAGERY!"

The dragon roared as the red and yellow orbs shined on it's body. The dragon's vines that were in the ground arose and wrapped around the hybrid dragon, binding it in place. The dragon charged a purple and red blast in it's mouth before firing it at the subdued target.

Panicking, Yuya looked between the girl in his arms and the incoming attack. As much as the voice in his head was telling him to become one...as much as he wanted the pain and suffering to end...as much as the darkness in his soul despised the girl in his arms...he had to fight back. He had to protect the only thing he had left.

"GRAAAAAAAAAAHHHH! Trap Activate! Cross Damage! Now, both players take the damage!"

As the dragon was enveloped in the destructive blast, the ensuing explosion was amplified, causing powerful flames to head for both Yuya and Yuri.

The yellow in Yuya's eyes disappeared as his hair slightly fell down and his dark aura subsided. The boy wrapped his hands around the girl and turned his back towards the attack, trying to shield her from the explosion.

"NO! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! THIS WAS IT! WE WERE SUPPOSE TO BECOME ONE! WE CAN'T DO THAT IF WE BOTH-"

Yuri's demonic screaming was cut off as he was frontally hit by the explosion.

"GRAAAAAAH!" Yuya and Yuri screamed in unison as they were consumed by the flames.

YUYA: 100-0 LP

YURI: 1350-0 LP

WINNER: DRAW!

From underneath Yuya's body, Yuzu pushed the boy to the side and gasped for air.

"Y-Yuya! Oh no!" Yuzu gasped in horror before checking his pulse. "He's still breathing...thank god..."

"Yuzu...what happened...?" The voice of Serena asked from behind as her and the other two girls began to rise from the ground.

As she stared at the unconscious boy in her arms with a soulless look in her eyes, one unfamiliar name came into her mind, as if something was resonating within her.

"...Zarc..."

Boy that took a lot out of me...but it's finally done! The battle you've all been waiting for! With this, I think that leaves maybe 1-2 chapters left of the academia invasion and then the finals of the tournament. But we'll see how things turn out.

That duel was very fun to write, but was also extremely challenging. I'm ultimately proud of how the duel turned out though. I really wanted to show how much of predator/hunter Yuri is. He purposefully manipulated Yuto and Yugo against each other, causing their rage to take over. And he bought time by setting up a stone wall defense while Yuya, Yugo, and Yuto greatly weakened each other before sweeping them with his newly acquired Pendulum variant. Not only that, Yuya got a taste of his own medicine due to his power being stolen this time. Yuri may have even became Zarc if it wasn't for Yuzu snapping Yuya out of his trance at the last second. So despite how powerful they have become, they need to keep striving for greater heights if they ever hope to defeat the almighty Fusion counterpart.

For clarification on the bracelet girl's powers, I decided that Ruri's can track down and locate any of the counterparts, Rin's is a defense mechanism that counteracts the external powers of the counterparts, Serena's calms the rage and counteracts the darkness inside the counterparts, and Yuzu's teleports the counterparts (although it's still damaged so it's extremely weak and only sometimes works).

BladeWriter3: Allowing Ruri and Rin to keep their fusions will be interesting for both of their characters. Like you said, Rin wouldn't be too reluctant due to the "taking anything I can get" attitude due to her life of poverty. On the other hand, Ruri would be extremely conflicted at first but with some encouragement, she would end up using it. The real interesting part will be when her brother sees her using it. And more drama will ensue in the next chapter during the aftermath of this chapter, so look forward to that!
