"Battle. D/D/D Twin Dawn King Kali Yuga! D/D/D Wave Oblivion King Caesar Ragnarok! End this duel! Direct Attack!"

As quickly as the duel began, Reiji had completely overpowered each and every one of Roget's men.

"You possess great strength, young man." White Taki praised.

"Thank you, Chairman. But I fear that there is more to come." Reiji said as he heard the foot steps of more officers.

Reiji stared at the door and readied himself for battle, but something happened before they reached the door.

"Hey, who the hell are you?!" A voice of a Security Officer said from the other side of the door.

"Wipe them out, Cyber End Dragon! Eternal Evolution Burst!"

"GAAAAAH!"

Suddenly, the wall was obliterated while multiple officers flew through the air and landed on the ground, completely knocked out.

"It's you..." Reiji trailed off in a somewhat surprised tone as a duelist with long turquoise hair and a black coat walked into the room.

"Pathetic." The man said, who was a few years older then Reiji, before he pressed a button on his duel disk. A flash of pink light consumed the group of officers, turning them all into cards.

"Monster!" The council members cried in fear.

"I'm going to give you one chance, scum. Get the hell out of here and your lives won't end in this room." Kaiser said with a murderous glare.

Despite their age, the elders rushed out of the room as quickly as they could out of fear.

"Good, now it's just the two of us, Reiji Akaba." The man said, who was a few years older then Reiji.

"You're the one who defeated Yuto...the Hell Kaiser..." Reiji uttered.

"That's right. And you're next!" Kaiser said with a sinister grin.

Reiji's eyes twitched as he glared at the Academia elite. Remembering the strength his opponent displayed in the Standard Dimension, he knew that he was about to engage in the toughest duel of his life.

Yugo is riding his D-Wheel down a Duel Lane at night, the neon signs and billboards of City aglow with life as he passes by. Out on a boat in the sea, Yuri faces Academia, arms visibly crossed.

I Gotta Crush and Paint Away

The Lancers appear standing in front of the LDS logo. From left to right; Hokuto, Masumi, Yaiba , and Roy stand back-to-back, ready for battle, Yaiba holding his signature wooden katana over his shoulder.

The Anguish Of My Past For Sake Of My Future

Sawatari stands self-assure with a proud grin on his face. Yugo leans on his D-Wheel, sporting a big friendly grin. Rin was on the opposite side of the D-Wheel, sternly staring at the boy for not taking things seriously. Serena holds herself ready for battle with the faintest hint of longingness on her face.

Until My Life Comes To An End

Yuya and Yuzu stand close to each other, ready to face the coming battles together. Gongenzaka stands behind of the Standard Pair, arms folded with a steadfast gaze. Next to them is Crow, who has a battle-ready smirk on his face.

I'm Gonna Fight To Tear Apart That Destiny

Yuto, Ruri, and Shun stand side by side with battle-hardened expressions. But unbeknownst to Shun, Yuto and Ruri's hands were interlocked.

Tsukkikage kneels in front of the Akabas, holding an arm out in front of them in a declaration of protection. Reira hides behind Reiji.

Break Out And Start A Revolution

Rightmost is Sora, who is consumed by the shadow and looking away from the group. But two hands reach out to him, causing him to turn around towards the light. Sora smiles, taking the hands of Yuya and Yuzu before leaping out of the shadows with a childish grin.

Until You Find The Answer

Cut to the Standard, Xyz and Synchro counterparts together on a grassy hill, gazing at the starry night sky. Yuzu and Ruri rest their heads on Yuya and Yuto's shoulders respectively, who in turn drape an arm around them. Rin does the same with Yugo, who blushes redder than Yuya's hair. It is a touching scene….

You're Looking For!

… the screen falls to reveal the Fusion Counterparts falling into darkness. Yuri grins wickedly as his eyes are whited out by a violet glow. Behind him is the shadow of an older boy, face obscured with a monstruous, inhuman smile on his face. Above him, Serena holds out her hand, desperately trying to reach her former friend. The gem on her bracelet shines like a star, cutting through the miasma that surrounds them. Behind her is the golden spirit of an older girl, trying to reach out to the figure behind Yuri as tears flow. The older teens vanish as the Fusion Counterparts' silhouettes turn to black and a large, sinister pair of draconic eyes open wide behind them.

I'll Challenge All My Limits

Crow, Kiryu, the Black Rose Witch, and Jack race in a line on the highway and call forth their dragons; Black-Feather, Infernity Void, Black Rose, and Red Daemon's.

Knowing This Could Be My Only Chance Now

Yuzu and Serena stand together, striking their signature Fusion Summon poses in front of a full moon with petals dancing around them. From behind the two, Prodigy Mozart and Cat Dancer swirl into the fusion vortex and become Moonlight Serenade.

To Overcome This Fate That's Come Over Me

Ruri and Rin stand side by side with Assembly Nightingale and Winter Bell in front of them, looking ready for battle. But behind them are the looming shadows of their respective Fusion monsters; Independent Nightingale and Crystal Bell.

The Ending Of This Story

Yuto stands alone on a battle field with explosions occurring in the background. Yuto lets out a primal scream as Dark Rebellion Apocalypse Dragon roars, causing the field to erupt in flames.

I Will Hold It Close As I Wonder So Aimlessly

Yuya and Yugo closely race next to each other on the highway as Odd Eyes and Clear Wing clash in the sky. Yuya and Yugo scream in unison as their dragons evolve into Odd Eyes Wing and Crystal Clear Wing before continuing their arial battle. As the Accel Synchro monster begins to gain an advantage, Enlightenment Paladin descends from the sky while enveloped in a brilliant light. As Odd Eyes Wing is briefly knocked away, the evolved blue and gold paladin strikes Crystal Clear Wing's head with it's majestic blade, while Yuya and Yugo can't help but grin in excitement.

Into This New World

The scene changes to Yuya standing beneath a blue landscape. A pendulum swings above him, draw arcs of light across the sky. Yusho's face is shown over the center of the arcs, smiling down at his son with pride.

The Game Has Only Just Begun

Yuya reaches his hand out as the image of his father fades. He is shown to have a look of surprise on his face...

I Can See It In Your Eyes!

…which quickly turns into a triumphant smile!

(Instrumental)

The screen flashes to a beaten Crow standing across from a strange looking Jack Atlas, which clearly wasn't the real one, who had a variant of Red Daemon's on his field. The scene shifts to Yuto standing against Kiryu's Chaos Void Dragon with Vengeful Paladin on his field, who readied it's sword for battle. The scene changes to Yuzu and Rin struggling against the berserk Black Rose Witch who wore a cracked mask. Darkness Rose Death Dragon let out a violent screech as Prodigy Mozart and Winter Bell protectively flew in front of the two girls. The scene switches to Yuya and Yugo teaming up against the mastermind himself, Roget. A large machine-like titan which was shrouded in darkness towered over Odd Eyes and Clear Wing. At the two counterparts' command, the dragons charged forward before combining into Odd Eyes Wing Dragon while the titan lunged it's fist forward. As the two collided, a white flash engulfs the screen. The song ends with the Lancers on the highway (now including Crow, Ruri, Rin, and Sora) in the Synchro Dimension, looking up at the screen with the three Yu-boys in the center, with each of their eyes flashing a red, indigo, and cyan glow respectively.

"You bastard! You swore that there was no way they could be freed!"

After grabbing the Doktor by the collar, the Professor threw him to the ground in anger.

"It wasn't a lie! It was scientifically impossible for the girls to break free from control of my parasite, even if they lost the duel! Speaking of which, they were in control during the entire duel up until Yuzu Hiragi's supernatural power was used which was impossible to predict. There was no way that my experiment should have failed!" The Doktor panicked while cowering in fear of the Professor's wrath.

"Well now that your "experiment" has concluded, there is only one real way that you can provide use to Academia. And that's by becoming a card to fuel the Arc-Area Project." The Professor coldly said as he raised his own duel disk and hovered his finger over it's screen.

"W-Wait! Despite not being in our full control, they can still be of use to us! I placed tracking devices on them which will allow us to see everywhere they go. T-They may be free from our control, but they still can serve Academia as unknowing spies!" The Doktor said in a desperate tone.

"..." The Professor contemplated for a moment before lowering his duel disk, much to the Doktor's relief. "On your feet."

"T-Thank you, sir! I promise, you won't regret this-"

The Doktor was cut off by the Professor's fist slamming into the old man's stomach, causing him to gasp for air.

"One more mistake...no matter how monumental it is...and I'll personally make sure you will be beg for the mercy of being carded." The Professor coldly whispered into the Doktor's ear before the older man fainted. "Carry him to his lab and make sure he doesn't exit until I allow it."

Two Obelisk Force soldiers nervously nodded before dragging the older man out of the room.

"As for the rest of you, leave the room."

The rest of the scientists and soldiers quickly scurried out of the room, leaving the eldest Akaba alone in the room.

"...GRAAAAAAAAHHHH!" Leo screamed in rage due to the recent events.

Once he was done yelling, the man closed his eyes, remembering why he was doing all of this.

The eldest Akaba twitched as he remembered his daughter snatching the EN cards and running off to face the demon duelist, with him being able to do nothing about it.

He remembered trying to desperately run after his daughter, only catching up to her once her duel with the demon duelist reached it's climax.

He remembered reaching out to her before she and the demon duelist split into four while the world around him destabilized.

He remembered waking up in what is now called the Standard Dimension with tears running down his face, not knowing why he was crying.

He remembered how he abandoned his new family years later to search for his daughter across the dimensions once he regained his memories.

He remembered how he took control of Academia and weaponized the duel school into what it is today.

He remembered the joy he felt meeting Serena for the first time and the fear he felt when he saw Yuri.

He remembered when Reiji appeared in the Fusion Dimension in search of him, only for him to make the decision to send him back to Standard.

He didn't want him involved at the time, but in retrospect, maybe if he showed Reiji that he was trying to save his half-sister, maybe he wouldn't be forming a rebellion against him.

But soon, once Hell Kaiser succeeded in his mission, he would finally get the chance.

"Go, Death-Toy Mad Chimera! Direct Attack!"

"Do it, C/C/C Rock Sword the Embodiment of Fused Arms! Direct Attack!"

Sora's Fusion monster fired a missile which exploded in front a soldier while Reira's Fusion monster slashed down on the other soldier. The two landed beside the rest of their unconscious teammates, before they were all teleported back to Academia.

"We did it..." Sora said in a tired tone before turning to his teammate. "Great work, Reira."

"T-Thank you..." Reira quietly said with a small smile.

"Now we can finally catch up to Yuzu and Serena-"

"You won't be going anywhere, traitor!" An Obelisk Force Soldier shouted as three more walked into view.

"Damn it..." Sora grunted in anger. Neither he or Reira were in any condition to keep dueling.

"We'll make you pay for betraying Academia-"

Before they could activate their duel disks, a smoke bomb went off to everyone's surprise.

"What the hell?!" One of the soldiers yelled.

Suddenly, two of the soldiers were neck-chopped while another was punched in the gut.

As the smoke died down, Shun and Tsukikage were revealed to have knocked out the soldiers.

"Kurosaki?!" Sora gasped.

"T-Tsukikage!" Reira said in happiness as he stepped towards the ninja. But the boy tripped up due to his fatigue, causing Tsukikage to catch him.

"You did well, Master Reira. Master Reiji would be proud of you." Tsukikage said, causing the young boy to smile.

"Where's Yuzu? Is she safe?!" Shun questioned out of concern for his teammate.

"She's in a duel alongside Serena. We tried to help them but we got caught up with a horde of the Obelisk Force." Sora explained in a worried tone.

"What are we waiting for then?!" Shun impatiently shouted.

"Kurosaki...it's Ruri...she's one of the people dueling Yuzu and Serena."

"...Did you say...Ruri is...here?" Shun uttered as his eyes widened in shock.

"Y-Yeah. She's being controlled by Academia to fight Yuzu and Serena..." Sora timidly explained.

Shun stepped back, in a state of complete disbelief. Not only was Ruri in this dimension currently, but she wasn't herself?!

"...Kurosaki?" Sora called to the older teen who was frozen in shock, causing him to snap out of it.

"...This is what everything has lead to...the chance to save Ruri...let's get moving!" Shun exclaimed in a determined tone.

"R-Right. Follow me." Sora nodded before the group ran off in the direction of the girls.

"So, the Professor has sent one of his most powerful soldiers to exterminate the Leader of the Lancers?" Reiji questioned in a serious tone.

"That's one way of looking at it, but it's entirely accurate. The Professor wishes for you to return to Academia with me." Kaiser explained.

"Last time I gave him a visit, he wasn't very pleased. What's changed?" Reiji asked.

"That's simple, you've changed." Kaiser said with a smirk, confusing the silver haired teen.

"What?"

"You've become a cold and ruthless leader, who has proven to do whatever it takes to accomplish your objective. The Professor is impressed." Kaiser elaborated.

"So he's sees me as another asset? Another pawn that he can freely manipulate like the rest of you mindless soldiers? I'm not interested." Reiji coldly said as he glared at his opponent.

"I was hoping you would say that." Kaiser grinned before activating his duel disk. "As the son of the Professor and the leader of the Lancers, you must be extremely strong. It's been awhile since I've truly been tested."

"I won't lose to a mindless pawn!" Reiji declared, activating his own duel disk.

"DUEL!"

REIJI: 4000 LP vs HELL KAISER: 4000 LP

'I must make this quick. Although the others should be able to repel the Obelisk Force, I have to stop Roget from accomplishing his goals!' Reiji thought to himself, steeling his resolve. "My turn! I activate the Continuous Spell, Contract with the Swamp King! Through this card's effect, I can Fusion Summon a fiend-type Fusion monster using fusion materials from my field or in my hand once per turn!"

"Going for a Fusion Summon so soon, eh? You're father would be so proud." Kaiser smirked.

"I'll use this effect to fuse D/D Cerberus and D/D Brownie! Three headed demon! Engulf the grinning fiend and give birth to a new king! Fusion Summon! Be Born! Level 6! D/D/D Flame King Temujin!" Reiji chanted as the warrior king appeared that was coated in brown and red armor. The warrior king wielded a large red colored sword and shield. It also had a orange-red aura surrounding it's body.

"From my hand, I summon the tuner monster, D/D Night Howling!" Reiji yelled as a monstrous jaw appeared on his field.

"When this card is successfully summoned, I can summon a D/D monster from my graveyard with it's ATK reduced to 0! Be reborn, D/D Cerberus!" Reiji shouted as the three-headed hound appeared.

"Now, I tune my level 3 D/D Night Howling to my level 4 D/D Cerberus! Howls that tear through the night! Gain the swiftness of a gale and become the cries of a newborn king! Synchro Summon! Be born! Level 7! D/D/D Gust King Alexander!" Reiji shouted as the warrior king appeared that silver armor and a large green cape. The warrior king wielded a large sword. It's body and weapon were also surrounded by a green aura.

"Flame King Temujin's effect activates! When another D/D monster is special summoned, I can special summon a D/D monster from my graveyard! Be reborn, the tuner monster, D/D Night Howling!"

"Then, Alexander's effect! When another D/D monster is special summoned, I can special summon a level 4 or lower D/D monster in my graveyard! Be reborn, the tuner monster, D/D Brownie!" Reiji shouted as the grinning fiend appeared.

"I overlay the level 3 D/D Night Howling and D/D Brownie! Impregnable invincible king. Now, surpass eternity, and descend! Xyz Summon! Be born! Rank 3! D/D Stone King Darius!" Reiji shouted as the warrior king wearing black and red armor appeared. The warrior king carried a large black staff with a golden mace at the top. The monster and it's weapon were surrounded by a orange-brown aura.

D/D Stone King Darius (1900/1000) RNK: 3 OVU: 2

"So this is your Fusion, Synchro, and Xyz...the spy reported that he witnessed you use these methods in tandem before...but I still can't help feeling this pressure..." Kaiser said as he stared at his opponent's field.

"It's not over. D/D Stone King Darius' effect activates! By using an overlay unit, I can destroy Contract with the Swamp King on my field to add a Contract card from my deck to my hand!"

OVU: 2-1

"I activate the Continuous Spell Card, Contract with the Exclusive Seal! In exchange for not being able to summon monsters from my Extra Deck, you cannot special summon monsters from your Extra Deck with the same type as the ones I control! Meaning, since I control Fusion, Synchro, and Xyz monsters, you're Extra Deck is completely sealed off!"

"So this is the power of the Professor's son...!" Kaiser uttered in shock.

"I assessed your duel back in the Standard Dimension. Without your Extra Deck monsters, you have no chance of defeating me. Do you still want to continue?" Reiji asked as he pushed up his glasses.

"...HAHAHA! This is the challenge I've been longing for, Reiji Akaba!" Kaiser shouted with a sadistic grin.

"Hmph. I end my turn." Reiji concluded as he sternly stared at his battle crazed opponent.

"Although preventing me from using Fusion monsters was a bright idea, I am more then capable of fighting without them! My turn! While I control no monsters while the opponent does, I can special summon this card to my field! Come forth! Level 5! Cyber Dragon!" Kaiser shouted as the machine dragon appeared.

Cyber Dragon (2100/1600) LVL: 5

"Battle! Cyber Dragon, attack D/D/D Flame King Temujin! Evolution Burst!" Kaiser yelled as his monster fired a cyan blast at the Fusion warrior king.

"Going for Temujin so you can Fusion Summon? I won't let that happen! D/D Shadow Shield's effect in my hand! By discarding it, the destruction of a D/D monster is negated!" Reiji countered as the purple spectral shield appeared in front of the fiery king, protecting it from the blast.

"But you still take the damage!"

REIJI: 4000-3900 LP

"So you were ready for my counterattack? I'm glad you aren't making things easy for me. I set a card facedown, turn end." The long haired duelist concluded.

"It's hopeless for you! My turn! Battle! Gust King Alexander, attack Cyber Dragon! Cyclone Slash!" The storming warrior king swung it's sword, creating a tornado that rushed towards the mechanical dragon.

"Trap Activate! Attack Reflector Unit! By releasing Cyber Dragon, I can special summon Cyber Barrier Dragon in defense mode!" Kaiser shouted as in a flash of light, a defensive mechanized dragon appeared which was surrounded by green energy that shielded itself from the tornado.

Cyber Barrier Dragon (800/2800) LVL: 6

"Nothing on your field can get past my defense!" Kaiser yelled.

"...I set a card facedown, turn end." Reiji concluded in a neutral tone, unaffected by his opponent's countermeasure.

"My turn! I activate the Spell Card, Pot of Greed! I draw two cards! I release Cyber Barrier Dragon to Advance Summon! Come forth! Level 5! Cyber Dragon!" Kaiser shouted as another copy of the monster appeared.

Cyber Dragon (2100/1600) LVL: 5

"Getting rid of your defense?" Reiji questioned.

"Next, I activate the Spell Card, Monster Reborn! Revive, Cyber Dragon!"

"Battle! Cyber Dragon, attack Flame King Temujin! Evolution Burst!" Kaiser shouted as his monster fired another cyan blast at the fiery warrior king.

"I banish D/D Shadow Shield to activate it's effect! The destruction of a D/D monster is negated once more!"

"But you still take the damage!"

REIJI: 3900-3800 LP

"How long can you keep up your defense? Go, Cyber Dragon! Attack Flame King Temujin! Evolution Burst!" Kaiser shouted as his other dragon launched another cyan colored blast.

"Trap Activate! D/D Providence! During a turn in which I received damage, I can negate an attack on a D/D monster!" Reiji countered as a barrier blocked the attack.

"It's not over yet! Quick Play Spell, Photon Generator Unit! By releasing two Cyber Dragons, I can special summon Cyber Laser Dragon from my deck!" Kaiser shouted as the slender mechanized dragon with a laser cannon for a tail appeared.

Cyber Laser Dragon (2400/1800) LVL: 7

"Go, Cyber Laser Dragon! Attack Flame King Temujin! Evolution Laser Shot!" Kaiser yelled as his new dragon fired a laser blast that shot through the Fusion monster, finally destroying it.

REIJI: 3800-3400 LP

"Flame King Temujin's effect activates. Upon being destroyed, I can add a Contract card from my graveyard to my hand." Reiji calmly explained as Contract with the Swamp King returned to his hand.

"Now that the Battle Phase has ended, Cyber Laser Dragon's effect activates! Once per turn, a monster on your field with ATK or DEF that's higher then this card's ATK is destroyed! Beam of Destruction - Photon Extermination!" Kaiser shouted as he pointed at Gust King Alexander. The laser beam shot through the warrior king, causing it to burst into particles.

As the silver haired teen's scarf blew in the wind, Reiji's stone cold eyes remained locked on his grinning opponent.

"You're plans are crumbling, Reiji Akaba. I eagerly await for your response. I set a card facedown, turn end." Kaiser concluded with a satisfied smirk.

"...My turn! Stone King Darius' effect activates! By using an overlay unit, I can destroy Contract with the Exclusive Seal to add another Contract Spell to my hand!"

OVU: 1-0

"Next, I activate the Continuous Spell, Contract with the Swamp King once more! Through it's effect, I can Fusion Summon a fiend-type Fusion monster using monsters in my hand or on my field! Not only that, if the monster I'm summoning is a D/D monster, I can banish monsters in my graveyard to treat them as Fusion materials!"

"Using monsters in the graveyard, eh? Interesting!" Kaiser shouted.

"I banish D/D Night Howling and D/D/D Flame King Temujin! The king who incenerates those who oppose him! Engulf the midnight roar and give birth to a dragon slaying hero! Fusion Summon! Be born! Level 8 D/D/D Cruel Dragon King Beowulf!" Reiji shouted as the wolf warrior king appeared. The beast was coated in golden armor and wore a red cape.

D/D/D Cruel Dragon King Beowulf (3000/2500) LVL: 8

"Next, I activate the Continuous Spell Card, Contract with the Gate! Through it's effect, I can add a level 4 or lower D/D monster from my deck to my hand once per turn! I add D/D Swirl Slime to my hand! Now, I activate it's effect! By sending it to the graveyard along with the D/D/D Stone King Darius on my field, I can use them as materials for a Fusion Summon!" Reiji shouted as the two monsters swirled into the fusion vortex. "Arcane swirl that takes on all forms! Engulf the grounded king and give birth to a new king! Fusion Summon! Come forth! Level 7! Ruler who carries the glory of God! D/D/D Oracle King d'Arc!"

A winged female warrior appeared with a thin sword and white and yellow armor.

"Oracle King D'Arc! Attack him directly! Oracle Charge!" Reiji shouted as his monster's sword gained a pink glow before charging directly for Hell Kaiser.

"Trap Activate! Cyber Security! I send the top card of my deck to the grave and if it's a monster with Cyber in it's name, I take no damage from this battle! And the card is..." Kaiser said as he looked at the card and smirked. "Cyber Ouroboros! Now I take no damage and since it was a level 2, I sent an additional two cards from the top of my deck to the graveyard!"

"I end my turn with that." Reiji calmly concluded.

"You've shown me how serious you are...so I'll do the same! Prepare to witness the full strength of the Cyber Style! My turn! I activate the Spell Card, Overload Fusion! I banish Fusion materials in my graveyard to Fusion Summon a Machine-type Fusion monster!" Kaiser explained, catching Reiji's attention.

"So your bringing that monster out...!" Reiji uttered, remembering this move from when he watched his duel with Yuto.

"That's right! I banish my two copies of Cyber Dragon, Cyber Laser Dragon, Cyber Barrier Dragon, and Cyber Ouroboros!" Kaiser shouted as the the five dragons began to swirl into the fusion vortex. "Cybernetic dragons of the light! Merge into one and become the ultimate mechanized beast of chaos! FUSION SUMMON! Come forth! Level 9! Chimeratech Overdragon!"

A menacing mechanical dragon appeared with a dark grey body and five silver dragon heads sticking out of it's core.

Reiji braced himself as he was hit by the shockwave without breaking eye contact with the elite.

"I am nothing like that monster!" Reiji shouted in a deep tone with a resolute glare. The teen then looked at his opponent's smirk, causing him to come to a realization. "Just like you did when you faced Yuto, you are trying to find and exploit my breaking point. For him, it was his anger towards the Fusion Dimension. For me, it's my father. You're tactics won't give you an edge in this duel, Hell Kaiser."

"You really are something else, Reiji Akaba. But what I said before is nothing but the truth." Kaiser smirked before grabbing a card in his hand. "I set a card facedown, turn end!"

"My turn! At this moment, the effects of Contract with the Swamp King and Contract with the Gate activate. Both effects cause me to take 1000 damage." Reiji explained before pushing up his glasses and pointing at his weaker Fusion monster. "At this moment, Oracle King D'Arc's effect activates! Any effect damage is reduced to 0 and I gain life points equal to the amount of damage I would have taken! Life Elation!"

"Tch..." Kaiser clicked his tongue in annoyance.

"Using Pendulum and Fusion monsters for an Xyz Summon...!" Kaiser said with a somewhat nervous grin.

"When two suns rise, the horizon of a new world shall open up! Xyz Summon! Come forth! Rank 8! D/D/D Twin Dawn King Kali Yuga!" Reiji shouted as his large monster appeared in a powerful explosion of light. The imposing king wore purple, red, and grey armor and sat on a large floating throne. The king exerted a strong yellow aura as it floated above Reiji.

"Precisely." Reiji said with a small smirk on his face as the dragon let out a defeated cry.

The warrior king wore a red scarf that was identical to Reiji's and carried a very large sword. The swordsman was also covered in a red aura.

The king sitting on it's throne fired two yellow beams that shot through the dragon.

"Oracle King D'Arc, attack Cyber Laser Dragon! Oracle Charge!"

The winged warrior's blade gained a pink glow before flying forward and stabbing through the dragon.

"Cursed Blood King Siegfried, attack Cyber Dragon! Disaster Blade! Disaster Strike!"

The swordsman swung it's sword into the ground, creating a powerful spike of red energy that bursted through the ground and collided with the dragon.

"Flame King Temujin, attack the second Cyber Dragon! Blazing Blade!"

The fiery warrior's sword ignited in flames before rushing forward and striking the dragon.

"Grr..." Kaiser grunted, falling to a knee after the continuous explosions and shockwaves.

"I set a card facedown and end my turn. Do you still wish together despite my overwhelming advantage? Reiji questioned his opponent as his four intimidating monsters returned to his field after slaying their targets.

"HAHAHA! You're really something else, you know that!" Kaiser maniacally laughed before regaining his composure. "I'm glad you are showing me this much of a fight! It will make it all the more satisfying when I defeat you!"

'He still thinks he can win despite everything? I can't afford to underestimate him.' Reiji thought to himself, steeling his focus.

"My turn! I activate the Spell Card, Fusion! I fuse Cyber Ouroboros with my third Cyber Dragon in my hand-"

"Not so fast! Cursed Blood King Siegfried's effect activates! Once per either turn, the effect of a Spell Card is negated! Meaning, you won't be pulling off a Fusion Summon!" Reiji sternly shouted.

"Trying to stop me from using Fusion monsters once more? You sure are a tactical one. I release Cyber Ouroboros to Advance Summon my third copy of Cyber Dragon!"

"With no other cards in your hand, what's your endgame?" Reiji questioned.

"I'm so very glad you asked! The Spell Card, Cyber Resources' effect in my graveyard activates!" Kaiser exclaimed, surprising his opponent.

"An effect from the graveyard at this time? You never used that card before...but you've activated multiple effects that have sent cards from your hand and deck to the graveyard throughout this duel."

"How perceptive. This card was sent to the graveyard through the effect of Cyber Security which allowed me to send two cards from the top of my deck to the graveyard." Kaiser explained before continuing. "Cyber Resources can be banished while I have no cards in my hand to target a machine-type monster on my field. If that monster is level 4 or lower, I get to draw three cards. And if it level 5 or higher, I can draw five cards. I target my level 5 Cyber Dragon and I draw five cards!"

Hell Kaiser glanced at his cards before staring at his opponent with a devilish smirk.

"I activate the Spell Card, Fusion!" Kaiser declared as he held the card up in the air.

"He drew another copy...damn it..." Reiji grunted.

"I fuse Cyber Dragon, Cyber Dragon Herz, and Cyber Dragon Vier! Cybernetic dragons of the light! Merge into one and unleash an onslaught of destruction! Fusion Summon! Come forth! Level 5! Chimeratech Rampage Dragon!" Kaiser shouted as a mechanical dragon appeared with three silver heads sticking out of a red and black core.

"Tch...I activate the Spell Card, Overclock! During this turn, all machine-type monsters have their ATKs doubled!" Kaiser shouted, causing his monster to let out an earring piercing roar.

"I'm familiar with that card. At the end of the turn, you're monster will be destroyed. You may be able to take out one of my monsters at this time, but you'll be left defenseless during my next turn." Reiji analyzed.

"You're wrong about my dragon only taking out one of your monsters. Chimeratech Rampage Dragon's effect activates! By sending up to two LIGHT machine-types from my deck to the graveyard, this monster gains two additional attacks for a total of three attacks!" Kaiser grinned as he sent two cards to the graveyard.

"Tch...he outplayed me...!" Reiji grunted.

"BATTLE! Chimeratech Rampage Dragon, attack Twin Dawn King Kali Yuga! RAMPAGE BURST - FIRST SHOT!" Kaiser roared as the first dragon head fired a powerful red blast that shot through the king sitting on it's throne.

"Second Attack! Destroy Oracle King D'Arc! RAMPAGE BURST - SECOND SHOT!" Kaiser screamed as his monster fired another powerful blast at the winged warrior, causing a powerful explosion.

"Third Attack! Obliterate Cursed Blood King Siegfried! RAMPAGE BURST - THIRD SHOT!" Kaiser yelled as the final blast decimated the swordsman.

"Grr..." Reiji grunted as the constant explosions forced him to a knee.

"Without those extra life points, you would have lost from that last attack. You're on borrowed time now and it won't last much longer." Kaiser said with a smirk.

"You are in no place to make such claims due to your monster being destroyed due to Limiter Removal's effect during the end of the turn, leaving you defenseless." Reiji pointed out.

"That won't be happening! Now that the Battle Phase has ended, I activate the Equip Spell Card, Cyber Resistance! By equipping this card to a Machine-type monster, it cannot be destroyed by card effects!" Kaiser explained.

"So you weren't being reckless when you used that card..." Reiji trailed off as he looked at his confident opponent.

"Turn end! With the majority of your field demolished, how will you respond?" Kaiser questioned.

Rampage Dragon (4200/1600)-(2100/1600)

"I still have many options left. My turn!" Reiji sternly shouted as he drew. "I activate the Spell Card, Different Dimension Draw! By releasing a D/D/D monster on my field, I can draw two cards! And if that monster was a Fusion, Synchro, or Xyz monster, I can draw an additional card! I release Flame King Temujin to draw three cards!"

Reiji's fiery warrior king dissolved as he refilled his hand.

"With the Scale 10 D/D Magical Savant Newton, I set the Pendulum Scale!"

The three headed beast returned along with a yellow winged demon.

Reiji shouted as his blue and purple armored warrior king appeared that carried a large sword. The warrior king was also surrounded by a blue aura.

"Battle! Wave King Caesar, attack Chimeratech Rampage Dragon! Surging Strike!" Reiji commanded as his monster swung his blade downwards, causing a spike of water to shoot out of the ground which destroyed the dragon.

"When the monster equipped with Cyber Resistance is destroyed, I can send cards from the top of my deck to the graveyard equal to the destroyed monster's level! That's five cards!"

'He's trying to accumulate more cards in his graveyard...what could he be planning?' Reiji thought to himself. "I set a card facedown, turn end!"

"You're really pushing me! My turn, draw! I activate the Spell Card, Pot of Greed! I draw two cards! It's time! Quick Play Spell, Cyber Dark Impact activate! By returning Cyber Dark Edge, Cyber Dark Horn, and Cyber Dark Keel from my graveyard to my deck, I can use them as fusion material for a Fusion Summon!" Kaiser shouted before the three menacing cybernetic monsters swirled in the fusion vortex. "Machines from the underworld, become one now and bring forth of the hellish dragon of pure darkness! Fusion Summon! Come forth! Level 8! Armored Black Dragon – Cyber Dark Dragon!"

The demonic black mechanical dragon with an elongated body appeared with a ferocious cry.

"Battle! Cyber Dark Dragon, attack Wave King Caesar! Full Darkness Burst!" Kaiser shouted as his dragon fired a powerful purple and black blast at the blue warrior king.

"Trap Activate! D/D/D Contract Change! By banishing the D/D/D monster with the highest ATK in my graveyard, the battle damage is reduced to 0! I banish D/D/D Twin Dawn King Kali Yuga!" Reiji countered as a spectral barrier shielded him from the blast. "Then, I can add a level 4 or lower D/D Pendulum monster to my hand! At this moment, D/D/D Wave King Caesar's effect activates! When this card is destroyed, I can add a Contract card from my deck to my hand!"

"Your contingencies continue to impress me. I set a card facedown, turn end." Kaiser concluded with a smirk.

"I will end this duel soon enough! My turn! With the set scale, Pendulum Summon! From my hand, D/D Ark! And the supreme deity that passes judgement upon the twilight of gods! D/D/D Destruction King Abyss Ragnarok!" Reiji shouted a green ark appeared alongside a king sitting on a floating throne. The horned king had brown and grey armor with orange lines coursing through it. The king was also surrounded by red energy.

"Destruction King Abyss Ragnarok's other effect! By releasing D/D Ark, I can target a monster on your field and it's banished! I target Cyber Dark Dragon!" Reiji shouted as the green ark was squeezed by a rag, causing it's particles to flow into Abyss Ragnarok. Multiple rags then shot out of the chair and flew directly for the dragon.

"Not so fast! Counter Trap, Cyber Deflection activate! An effect that targets a Cyber monster on my field is negated!" Kaiser countered as a barrier shielded his monster. "Then, I can draw a card!"

"I expected as much. D/D Necro Slime's effect in the graveyard activates! I can banish this card to Fusion Summon a D/D/D monster using monsters on my field as materials! I fuse Destruction King Abyss Ragnarok and Wave King Caesar! Crush the twilight of gods, and with the force of your surging wave, open up a new world! Fusion Summon! Come forth! Level 10! Autocratic god of limits! D/D/D Wave Oblivion King Caesar Ragnarok!"

A hybrid of the two warrior kings appeared in a powerful flash of light. The large merged warrior king had purple and blue armor with orange lines running through it. It's armor also had large horns protruding from it's shoulders and head. The merged warrior king was surrounded by a powerful blue aura.

"Wave King Caesar's effect! Since it was sent to the graveyard, I add a Contract card from my deck to my hand! Now, I activate the Equip Spell, D/D/D King's Spirit! By equipping this card to Wave Oblivion King Caesar Ragnarok, it gains ATK equal to it's level times 100!" Reiji shouted as his monster's aura brightened.

"Battle! Caesar Ragnarok, attack Cyber Dark Dragon! The End of Judgement!" Reiji screamed as his monster fired a powerful blast of blue energy that collided with the dragon.

"Cyber Dark Dragon's effect! By sending Hell Dragon to the graveyard, it's destruction is negated!"

In a bright flash of light, the Academia Elite's ace flew onto the field. The giant cybernetic dragon had large wings and three heads. The dragon let out a powerful roar which shook the ground beneath the two duelists.

The cybernetic dragon of light flew next to the cybernetic dragon of darkness while Kaiser crossed his arms and smirked.

"This pressure...!" Reiji uttered, remembering how Yuto was nearly killed by the ferocious power of the elite's ace.

"Now, Cyber Dark Dragon gains 300 ATK!"

"Neither of those dragons have enough strength to overcome my monster." Reiji sternly said.

"We'll see about that! BATTLE! Cyber End Dragon, attack Oblivion Wave King Caesar Ragnarok!" Kaiser shouted as the three heads of the dragon began charging an attack. "Quick Play Spell, Battle Fusion! Cyber End Dragon gains ATK equal to the ATK of your monster!"

"8200..." Reiji softly spoke in shock.

"So I've finally broken that stoic demeanor of yours! It's over, Reiji Akaba! ETERNAL EVOLUTION BURST!" Kaiser shouted as his monster launched the powerful beam of energy at the merged warrior king.

"Oblivion Wave King Caesar Ragnarok's effect! By returning Magical Savent Copernicus to my hand, I can equip a monster on your field besides the one that is attacking to this monster and it gains that monster's ATK! I equip the 2100 ATK Cyber Dark Dragon to Caesar Ragnarok!" Reiji shouted as his Pendulum Card returned to his hand while a bunch of rags shot out from the merged warrior king, wrapping around the malicious dragon. The dragon bursted into to particles that were absorbed into the king, causing his blue aura to shine brighter.

"I can banish Cyber Wormhole when I'm attack directly to activates it's effect! I can special summon a banished Cyber monster to my field! Return, Cyber End Dragon!"

"Not in the slightest. Caesar Ragnarok, attack Cyber End Dragon! The End of Judgement!" Reiji commanded as his monster fired a powerful blast of blue energy.

"The stress of the situation must be going to your head! Counterattack, Cyber End Dragon! Eternal Evolution Burst!" Kaiser roared as his dragon fired it's signature attack which easily overtook the opposing blast and consumed the merged king. Reiji didn't even flinch as he was hit by a powerful shockwave.

"You still haven't lost your composure?" Kaiser questioned.

"Why would I? Everything has gone according to plan." Reiji said with a small smirk his ace monster began to emanate a bright purple glow.

"What the hell?!" Kaiser yelled in shock.

"Death Great King Hell Armageddon's effect activates when a monster on my field is destroyed. By targeting that monster, Hell Armageddon gains it's ATK!" Reiji explained as he smugly pushed up his glasses.

"...I'm impressed...!" Kaiser said with a nervous smile on his face.

"I recall you saying that my ace monster was pathetic. Allow me to demonstrate how wrong you were. Hell Armageddon, attack Cyber End Dragon! Final Eradication!" Reiji commanded as his monster launched a barrage of purple lasers from it's body, decimating the three headed cybernetic dragon.

"GRAH!" Kaiser yelled as he was thrown backwards and landed on the ground.

"You may an elite in the eyes of my father, but you are nothing compared to me. I set a card facedown, turn end." Reiji concluded.

"It's funny...because in the eyes of your father...you were nothing to him! Maybe that's why it was so easy for him to leave you." Kaiser sneered, causing Reiji to slightly tense up.

"...Then why were you sent after me...?" Reiji asked as the glare in his glasses prevented Kaiser from seeing the look in his eyes.

"Why do you ask? Deep down, do you still care for him?" Kaiser questioned.

"...Not in the slightest...he was a madman who only cared about power...and he's manipulating your entire home dimension into thinking he's on some kind of crusade that justifies killing millions. Even if it's the last thing I do...I will stop him, no matter what it takes!" Reiji powerfully exclaimed.

"Hmm...you two are quite alike in that way..." Kaiser smirked.

"I am nothing like that monster." Reiji sternly said.

"That's not entirely true. You both have a similar "the ends justify the means" ideology. You claim to do anything it takes to stop your father. Your father has made it clear that he'll do anything to accomplish his goal. I've heard plenty of information from the spy. I know that you tricked those kids into fighting against Academia during that Battle Royale. I know about how you manipulated Yuya Sakaki into thinking his friends died to draw out his latent power. I know you temporarily erased the memories of three of your Lancers. Tell me Reiji Akaba, how are you different then your father?"

"..." Reiji didn't make a sound. He just solemnly stood for a few moments as he thought about everything that had happened. He had to make the tournament a Battle Royale due to the Junior Youth Class being their best chance of survival. He had to defeat Yuya at his highest point to motivate him to continue improving despite his strength, to cement himself as superior to the others, and to gather a mass amount of Pendulum energy. He had to make sure Masumi, Hokuto, and Yaiba didn't remember Kurosaki at first so he could enlist him in the tournament and fight against the Obelisk Force. He had to do all of these deeds to give them the best chance at defeating his father. He has to do whatever it takes.

Reiji countered as his monster's essence was absorbed into Hell Armageddon which then fired a powerful purple blast at the mechanized dragon.

"So you were prepared for my onslaught? Unfortunately for you, I'm far from out of moves! Quick Play Spell, Cyber Re-Fusion activate! By releasing my Fusion monster, I can special summon it's fusion materials!" Kaiser yelled as his five headed dragon split into five cybernetic monsters.

"You're going to attack with a monster that's ATK is 0?" Reiji questioned.

"Precisely. When Chimeratech Fortress Dragon battles, neither players takes any damage and neither monster is destroyed! And whenever Chimeratech Fortress Dragon attacks, the opponent takes 400 points of damage!" Kaiser deviously grinned.

"So that's your play..." Reiji grunted.

"Chimeratech Fortress Dragon, attack! Evolution Result Artillery - First Shot!" Kaiser shouted as his let out a powerful screech, firing a powerful force of wind from it's mouth that caused Reiji to flinch in pain.

"Second attack! Evolution Result Artillery - Second Shot!" Hell Kaiser shouted as one of the gates opened up on his monster's body, revealing another dragon's head which fired another force of wind from it's mouth.

As the force of wind hit, Reiji began to lose his footing.

"Cyber Dragon Ein's effect in the graveyard activates! By banishing this monster when a machine-type monster is attacked, I can release that monster to special summon a level 4 or lower Cyber monster from my deck!" Kaiser shouted as his monster dissolved while a card popped out of his deck. "Come, Cyber Vary!"

"Not a very productive turn for you, eh?" Kaiser sneered.

"I may not have dealt any damage, but you were forced to sacrifice your Fusion monster to survive the turn. You can't use it to deal damage to me anymore." Reiji pointed out.

"That may be true, but nothing will stop me from completing my mission! My...TURN!" Kaiser roared as he ruthlessly drew. The Cyber Style duelist looked at the card before sinisterly grinning. "It looks like the end is drawing near. What a shame. This duel has proven to be quite a thrill. It's time to end this, Reiji Akaba."

"That's right. Once I survive this turn, I will take victory!" Reiji declared.

"Heh. I activate the Spell Card, Altar of Restoration! I banish the top two cards of my deck to add a card from my graveyard to my hand! I add Overload Fusion back to my hand and then I'll activate it! I banish Cyber End Dragon and Armored Black Dragon - Cyber Dark Dragon in my graveyard to perform a Fusion Summon!"

The two menacing dragons briefly returned to the field before swirling into the fusion vortex.

"Mechanized destroyer that draws strength from the light! Let yourself be consumed by the embodiment of darkness and become the ultimate epoch of annihilation! FUSION SUMMON! Come forth! Level 12! Armored Emperor Dragon - Cyber Dark End Dragon!"

In a burst of tainted light, the merged form of Kaiser's two aces appeared on the field. The dragon was an even larger version of Cyber End Dragon with Cyber Dark Dragon attached to the top of it. The top of the dragon bursted through the ceiling of the building while it's extended wings crushed through the walls, making the entire building rumble.

"...Level 12...5000 ATK..." Reiji uttered as he gazed upon the terrifying dragon as the ground he stood on shook. "Your monster is going to bring the whole building down!"

"That just goes to show the power of my monster! Cyber Dark End Dragon is unaffected by your card effects. Now. Cyber Dark End Dragon's effect activates! Once per turn, I can equip a monster from either player's graveyard to this monster! I equip D/D/D Wave Oblivion King Caesar Ragnarok from your graveyard to my monster!" Kaiser shouted as the spirit of the merged king appeared in front of the dragon before being devoured. "Prepare to feel true despair! BATTLE! Cyber Dark End Dragon, attack Hell Armageddon! ETERNAL DISASTER BURST!"

The gigantic dragon let out a earth-shaking roar before firing a spiraling blast of light and darkness from it's four heads at Reiji and his ace monster.

"I will not be defeated here! Trap Activate! D/D/D Final Decree! By banishing a D/D/D monster on my field, the Battle Phase is forced to end! I banish D/D/D Death Great King Hell Armageddon!" Reiji countered as his monster exploded in a brilliant flash of light, cancelling out the incoming attack. "Thank you...Hell Armageddon."

"A last ditch effort to survive? You've already used up the majority of your Extra Deck and you just got rid of your ace monster! How will you stand against my full power, Akaba Reiji?!" Kaiser angrily yelled.

"End your turn and you'll find out." Reiji sternly spoke.

"You're false confidence will be your undoing! I set a card facedown, turn end!" Kaiser concluded.

"As long as my objective remains, I will continue moving forward until my father is defeated! My turn, draw!" Reiji shouted in a determined tone as he drew. "With the set scale, Pendulum Summon-"

"Trap Activate! Heavy Storm Duster!" Kaiser sadistically declared as two cyclones appeared on the field. "Now, two Spell or Trap cards on the field are destroyed! Say goodbye to your Pendulum Scale!"

The two cyclones enveloped Copernicus and Newton, leaving Reiji in a shocked state.

"What's happened to that declaration of your determination to win? Did you really think I would just stand aside and let you do as you please? You're not in your home dimension anymore where you control everything that happens. This is a battlefield! You're perfect strategies mean nothing here!" Kaiser shouted, pointing at the son of the Professor.

"..." Reiji remained quiet as he stared at his opponent's field before looking at the cards in his hand. "...I set a monster facedown, turn end."

"HAHAHA! My turn! I activate the Spell Card, Pot of Greed! I draw two cards from my deck!" Kaiser shouted with a menacing look in his eyes as he drew. "Cyber Dark End Dragon's effect activates! I equip D/D/D Cruel Dragon King Beowulf from your graveyard to this monster!"

The spirit of the dragon king was devoured by the four heads of the demonic dragon.

"BATTLE! Cyber Dark Dragon, attack his set monster! Eternal Calamity Burst!" Kaiser yelled as the spiraling blast of light and darkness was fired at the set card.

The card flipped open, revealing a small purple spectral fiend with glowing red eyes.

The fiend was consumed by the blast, causing a powerful explosion that knocked Reiji backwards, despite the older teen not taking any damage.

"Cyber Dark End Dragon has another effect! This monster can attack up to the amount of cards equipped to it!" Kaiser explained with a devious grin.

"That means...!" Reiji slightly gasped.

"My dragon can attack one more time! Second attack! Wipe him off the face of the earth! ETERNAL CALAMITY BURST!"

Reiji lowered his arms and bowed his head as the blast headed directly for him.

"...The Lancers will be victorious in the end!" Reiji declared before a blinding explosion of light illuminated the field.

As the dust settled, the fiery king was revealed to have appeared in front of Reiji at the last moment, protecting the older teen with it's shield.

"What the hell?!" Kaiser growled.

"Unyielding Servant's effect allowed me to banish it and pay half my life points to special summon a D/D/D monster from my graveyard during the turn it was destroyed. Also, the summon monster can't be destroyed by battle or card effects until the end of the turn." Reiji explained as he stood firm while his opponent grimaced.

"You're tenacity was amusing at first, but now it's really pissing me off...!" Kaiser grunted.

"What's wrong, Hell Kaiser? I thought this was the match you've been longing for? Was that only when you thought your victory was assured?" Reiji questioned with a confident smirk.

"My victory is assured! In the end, I will be the one left standing!" Kaiser angrily shouted.

"You're wrong! I won't let you prevail!" Reiji yelled.

Seeing his opponent's fighting spirit spark up, Kaiser couldn't help but grin despite his recent frustration.

"Let's see if you can back up your claims. I set two cards facedown, turn end!" Kaiser sinisterly shouted.

"I have to keep going...this all can't be for nothing!" Reiji shouted with a hint of desperation as he placed his hand on his deck. "My turn-"

Reiji was cut off by a ringing sound coming his duel disk's screen. Reiji tapped a button and the face of his brother appeared on the screen.

"Reira?"

"Brother, are you ok? You look injured..." Reira noticed from the other side of the call.

"Everything is under control. What's your report?" Reiji questioned as he looked up at his opponent, who strangely wasn't annoyed that there duel was being interrupted. He was actually looking at the conversation between the siblings with a look of longing.

"I'm currently with Tsukikage, Kurosaki, and Sora. Many unforeseen events have occurred. Most notably, Yuzu and Serena's counterparts appeared on the side of Academia."

Reiji and Kaiser were both surprised by the news the child was sharing.

"So the Professor went through with it..." Kaiser uttered to himself in a sickened tone. No matter who he was allied with, he hated the Doktor's dishonorable tactics.

"Yuzu and Serena went off to duel them and set them free." Reira explained.

"That's potentially two more allies if all goes well...and we might be able to start understanding why the Professor wants them so badly..." Reiji trailed off.

"We are currently on route to support them."

"Good. Once you have all reunited, head back to the stadium and regroup with the rest of the Lancers. The invasion is almost over."

"R-Right. Goodbye, brother."

Before neither could end the call, Reiji's fist tightened.

"Wait, Reira."

Reira's face looked confused as Reiji wavered for a moment before speaking.

"Reira...I don't know what the future holds..." Reiji began as he looked up at the Academia Elite and his 5000 ATK behemoth. "...but I want you to know that I'm very proud of you."

Reira had never heard Reiji sound so genuine in his life, causing his voice to tremble with emotion, which was also very abnormal for the young Akaba.

"T-Thank you...brother."

"We'll see each other again soon. Good luck." Reiji told his younger brother. The boy nodded before Reiji ended the call and looked up at his opponent, who was lost in thought.

"You're brother...he seems like a good kid." Kaiser uncharacteristically said, causing Reiji to notice his somewhat jealous expression.

"You...have a brother...don't you?" Reiji realized.

"...I had a brother...and I did everything I could to keep him out of this war...while you allow yours to put himself in danger..." Kaiser grunted in disgust.

"Reira is more then capable enough to defend for himself. He is close to my strength and one day, I'm certain he'll surpass me." Reiji sternly explained.

"Then I guess he'll have to avenge you once you're defeated by me! Now, take your turn!" Kaiser impatiently shouted.

The ground underneath the two began to rumble as the walls around the building cracked.

"I don't have much time left...I'll either lose or get crushed by rubble...I have to end this right now..."

Although Reiji was normally driven by his primary goal of saving the world from his father, he felt a different drive burning within him. Talking to Reira had lit some sort of fire within the teen. Not only was he fighting for his goal, but for his brother, mother, and comrades.

"So this is how Yuya feels when he duels..." Reiji uttered as he looked at his trembling hand which tightened into a stern fist. Reiji then swung his arm through the air and gripped the top card of his deck. "You'll meet your end here and now, Hell Kaiser! My turn...DRAW!"

"Show me the power of the Professor's son and the Leader of the Lancers!" Kaiser roared.

"I drew it! I activate the Spell Card, Amazing Pendulum! I can add D/D Magical Savant Copernicus and Newton back to my hand from my Extra Deck!"

The two cards popped out of the Extra Deck slot before Reiji grabbed them and held the cards high in the air.

The high king with purple, blue, and silver armor appeared that carried an extremely large yellow sword. The king was surrounded by a powerful purple aura.

The high king with silver and green armor appeared. The king carried a large sword that was surrounded by green energy and it's green cape took the shape of two large wings. The king was surrounded by a powerful green aura.

The high king with red, brown, and golden armor appeared. It had four arms, the top two held small black and red blades over it's head while the other two held a large sword and shield. The monster was surrounded by a fiery red aura.

The menacing dragon let out a powerful roar as it powered up, causing the ground around them to begin cracking.

Reiji shouted as his monster's as an orange ring appeared around the Continuous Trap.

"That means...!" Kaiser's uttered as his eyes widened.

"Cyber Dark End Dragon's ATK returns to normal!" Reiji finished his opponent's sentence while pointing at the gigantic dragon.

"No...there's no way...my ultimate creature is unrivaled...!" Kaiser gasped in disbelief.

"Let's go! BATTLE! Executive Alexander, attack Cyber Dark End Dragon! TEMPEST BREAKER!"

As the gust king leapt forward, wind-like energy began circling around it's sword. The gigantic dragon tried countering the attack with a powerful blast of energy, but the swordsman used it's blade to slice through it.

"I WON'T BE DEFEATED! Cyber Resistance's effect in the graveyard activates! By banishing this card in the graveyard, an instance of battle damage I would take from a battle involving a Cyber monster is halved!" Kaiser countered as the gust king sliced through the dragon, causing a powerful explosion that threw the Academia duelist through the air.

KAISER: 600-100 LP

"It's over! Executive Caesar, direct-"

"Trap Activate! Cyber Reboot! By banishing a Cyber monster from my graveyard that was destroyed during this turn, I can special summon a Cyber monster from my graveyard with an equal or lower level! I banish Cyber Dark End Dragon! Rise, Cyber End Dragon!"

Hell Kaiser's ultimate monster bursted into particles which reformed into his ace.

Cyber End Dragon (4000/2800) LVL: 10

"Cyber End Dragon's ATK is greater than both of your remaining monsters! You still can't surpass me!" Kaiser shouted through the pain.

"I still have one more move to make! Executive Caesar's effect activates! Once per turn, by using an overlay unit, an effect that special summons a monster is negated!" Reiji countered as his monster absorbed an overlay unit.

OVU: 2-1

The wave king drove it's blade into the ground, causing a blast of water to erupt from the ground below Hell Kaiser's ace which caused it to burst into particles.

"...Another counter...!" Kaiser gasped.

"Then, Executive Caesar gains ATK equal to half of the monster's ATK that's summon was negated!" Reiji continued as his monster's purple aura got brighter.

Executive Caesar (2800/1800)-(4800/1800)

"It's not over! Executive Caesar's other effect activates! By using an overlay unit, another D/D monster on my field gains the same amount of ATK!" Reiji shouted as his monster absorbed another overlay unit, causing the flame king's aura to brighten.

Executive Temujin (2800/2400)-(4800/2400)

"You wanted to see the power of the son of the Professor and the leader of the Lancers, right? That was a grave mistake." Reiji coldly said as he locked eyes with his nervous opponent.

A shudder when down the elite's spine as he saw an image of the Professor in the place of his son, sporting the same cold glare. He could even hear the Professor's voice.

"You are nothing, Ryo Marufuji."

"You are nothing, Hell Kaiser."

The serious voice of his opponent snapped Hell Kaiser back to reality.

"It's time for you to pay for your sins! Executive Caesar, direct attack! TSUNAMI STRIKE!" Reiji roared as his monster's blade was coated in bright blue energy as it leapt towards the Cyber Style duelist.

"...HAHAHA! I banish Cyber Reboot in my graveyard to activate it's effect!"

Hell Kaiser's ace returned to the field and tanked the dragon's strike with it's head.

Cyber End Dragon (4000/2800) LVL: 10

"What?" Reiji questioned.

"By banishing Cyber Reboot I can negate a direct attack and special summon a Cyber monster with it's effects negated in ATK mode. The nightmare isn't over just yet!" Kaiser roared as his eyes twitched like a mad man.

"You've miscalculated, I still have one attack left! Executive Temujin, end this duel!" Reiji pumped his fist through the air as his monster's blades ignited in flames.

"You can't run away from your father forever, Reiji Akaba! Whether it be today or in the future, your paths are fated to cross!" Kaiser shouted as his monster began charged an attack.

"The day our paths cross is the day my Lancers slay Academia for good...the day of his reckoning! And you can tell him that yourself...because I'm sending you back to Academia right now! Go, SCORCHING VORTEX!"

As Reiji yelled at the top of his lungs, the flame king leapt upwards and spun it's body with the blazing sword spinning through the air like a fiery tornado.

After hearing his opponent's words, Kaiser looked down, causing darkness to cover his face. His lips curled into a smirk as if he was happy about the teen's resolve to take down his father.

"Maybe one day...he'll actually succeed...!" Kaiser smirked to himself before looking up with a fire in his eyes. "FIRE EVERYTHING YOU HAVE, CYBER END DRAGON!"

The dragon fired a powerful cyan attack which clashed with the fiery vortex, causing the building around them to begin cracking and breaking. The mixture of orange and blue energy created a brilliant light that blinded both duelists.

"PUSH THROUGH, EXECUTIVE TEMUJIN! GOOO!" Reiji roared with everything he had.

The flames grew bigger and bigger, causing the fiery vortex to become the size of Cyber End Dragon itself.

"...I hope one day...you accomplish what you're striving for..." Kaiser said, surprising his opponent.

"No way...does that mean you-"

"But today is not that day, so keep pushing forward...Reiji Akaba. Cyber Rivalry's effect in the graveyard activates! By banishing this card, a battling Cyber monster's ATK becomes equal to it's opponent's ATK!"

Cyber End (4000/2800)-(4800/2800)

"GRAAAAH! EVOLUTION ETERNAL BURST!" Kaiser let out a ferocious battle cry as the blast doubled in size. The two monsters let out one final cry before exploding.

A powerful explosion of orange and cyan energy enveloped the room, causing a powerful explosion that unfortunately was the last straw. The story of the building began to implode with rubble falling from the ceiling in front of the two duelists.

Reiji and Kaiser shared one last glare before the Academia duelist leapt out of the window and off the building.

As pieces of rubble fell from above Reiji, the boy did his best to sprint towards the window. However, as the boy reached his destination, he heard the ceiling above him crumble and burst open.

"Caesar!" Reiji yelled as the wave king slashed through the large piece of rubble. "Alexander, now!"

The gust king grabbed his owner and charged flew through the glass with the wave king flying behind. Reiji and his monsters landed on the roof of a nearby building before the kings bursted into particles while Reiji's duel disk deactivated.

DUEL END: NO RESULT

Reiji dropped to the ground in exhaustion and watched the destruction of the building from afar.

As Reiji heavily breathed, he thought about what his opponent said before the duel ended.

"...I hope one day...you accomplish what you're striving for..."

Reiji then thought about everything that was said during the duel. He remembered how his opponent comparing him to his father. At first he just thought he was doing it to get in his head, but he wasn't so certain about it in retrospect.

"Am I really...just as ruthless as him...?" Reiji said as he thought about all of his misdeeds that have lead to where he is today. Erasing his subordinates' memories, forcing Kurosaki to compete in the Miami Championship, tricking the competitors into dueling the Obelisk Force, tricking Yuya into thinking his friends were carded, forcing his team into competing in the Friendship Cup, and that was all just the recent events. But the thing he regretted most was everything his younger sibling has had to undergo.

Although all of it was deemed necessary to ensure Academia's defeat, he couldn't help but feel a sense of guilt.

Reiji grasped his chest and looked down, causing his glasses to fall of his face.

As the teen grabbed them off the ground, he saw the reflection of the Professor in his place, causing him to wince.

That's when Reiji came to a realization.

"...I understand what he was trying to tell me during the duel...there's no point of defeating my father...if I become him in the process."

Reiji put his glasses back on his face as he stood up and walked towards the edge of the roof, with his resolve completely rejuvenated.

The teen activated his duel disk and summoned Hell Armageddon. He jumped on top of his ace and silently commanded it to take off.

He was ready to take on his father and the rest of Academia, alongside his comrades.

He wouldn't become his father, he would learn from his mistakes and continue on his own path.

"Father...the Lancers will end your reign!"

Hey everyone, happy new years! I'm so thankful to make through another year with you guys and this story! It's still hard to believe it's been this long since this small fic started.

Before I talk about the chapter, I hope you all noticed the new version of the opening. There are quite a few new sneak peaks at what's to come in the future of this arc.

This chapter slowly grew to be one of my favorites ones yet as I wrote it. I tried putting a lot of effort and focus on the dialogue since this chapter was very character driven. We get to find out a bit more of Kaiser's character, as he isn't just some two dimensional henchman. And as for Reiji, he is beginning his arc of becoming a better leader, while still retaining everything that makes him a badass character.

As for the duel, it was honestly very fun to write. This marks the first rival vs rival duel I've done, so I did my absolute best to give justice to both characters. This is also the reason I decided to let this duel be a stalemate, with Reiji gaining the go-ahead at the end but not quite being able to pick up the victory. And if the duel was allowed to continue, who knows what Kaiser would have used next.

And with the aftermath of the Yu boys and EN girls, you'll have to wait for the next chapter. This is partially because I want to make that chapter longer since it's not going to be super long when compared to the previous chapters. Also, this chapters pretty long anyways.
