Long absence. No excuses. Just lost the motivation. I'm going to edit the earlier chapters and get reacquainted with my story. But I'm back, I'm bad. Harry's a Black and he's mad.

Last time in Blacklash:

Umbridge, who had taken cover during the battle was now more than happy to take command again She began barking orders in her faux-sweet voice and assigning punishments, not recognizing the burning embers of battle ready to ignite again at the slightest addition of fuel. McGonagall had no such delusion and immediately stopped her. "Despite your title or backing, Delores, no action will be taken until every student is returned to full health! Or is it your intention to fight the staff today as well?" With so many injured, even Umbridge had to step back from her desire for punishment, this time.

Sunday April 7

Hunter was awakened by an owl with a letter for him. Opening the parchment, He bellowed as he read the contents. He rushed to get dressed and get to the floo. Sirius hot on his heels.

With the unrest caused at the trial and Fudge's arrest, coupled with the situation at Hogwarts that Minerva had informed him about, Albus Dumbledore made a plea for, and received, an emergency meeting of the Board of Governors. He graciously offered to notify each member to save time, and of course left Hunter Black out until the last moment. Thus affording him something of a hearing without his most detracful opponent. By the time Hunter arrived with Sirius in tow, the meeting was over and Dumbledore was reinstated as Headmaster.

The smug smile on Dumbledore's face told Hunter what had happened before the few remaining members spoke a word. "So, you manipulated the Board into giving you back the headmaster position. And how did I not get the notice until 10 minutes ago?" Dumbledore attempted to answer but was stopped by a punch that broke his nose.

"Don't even begin to spew your lies to me old man!" Hunter growled. Only one person can create a port key leaving Hogwarts. Only one can create a portkey that would take someone out of the Headmaster's Office. That one person is YOU, headmaster. So it was you and you alone that sent me to Malfoy Manor and into the hands of that kruger-spoof coward Tom Riddle. The dark wanker is a powerful wizard, but he's not a Black!"

The remaining board members, who had moved to separate the two, were now in shock at the revelation. Had Dumbledore sent Lord Black, the DADA professor, into the hands of He-who-must not-be-named?! The shock was evident on their faces as they turned to Dumbledore, pleading with their eyes to tell them it was untrue.

Dumbledore tried to explain that there was a misunderstanding and that he had not intended for Hunter to have been sent to Voldemort, but Hunter removed that lie almost as quickly as it had been uttered. "Swear it Albus. Swear on your life and magic, Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore, Son of Percival, son of Kendra, brother of Aberforth, brother of Ariana, that you did not know or suspect that you were sending me to Voldemort, the Dark Wizard born Tom Marvolo Riddle."

The panic in Dumbledore's eyes was not evident to most, as they would read it as shock at the demand for a magical vow. To Hunter though, it was plain as day. Secrets that Dumbledore did not want out were just handed out as if they were headlines of the Daily Prophet. Hunter now wore the smug smile.

"I thought so, you coward." With that , Hunter left the stunned group, and slammed the door on his way out. Sirius remained for just a moment more.

He picked Dumbledore up and pulled him dangerously close."Dumbledore, You have now crossed a line that can never be undone. James and Lily's deaths, my illegal incarceration, the many deaths of the Order members under your direction, even the handling of Snape, all that could have been overlooked due to your service to the wizarding world for so many years. But to attempt to assassinate the lord of a Noble and Most Ancient House, directly or by proxy, will see you sent through the veil."

While his voice was low in volume, such that only Albus could hear, Sirius had no benevolence in his face, no laughter in his tone, no kindness in his eyes. He gave Dumbledore the same look he gave Peter Pettigrew. As Albus realized what Sirius had just pointed out, the once jovial Padfoot of the Marauders, silently left the room to catch up to the Lord of his House.

Hunter hated to admit it, but Dumbledore had played it well. He shouldn't have been surprised that Dumbledore moved so quickly. The man had nothing but time on his hands. The fact that his notification of the meeting arrived so late meant it had to be Dumbledore who sent them out. He likely played a helpful public servant and volunteered to do the work for the board, and being the lazy gits they were, the board let him.

As Sirius caught up to him, Hunter was almost to the apparition point. "Where to now?" Sirius asked. "I have to get to Hogwarts before that goat-fucker changes the wards or something, to keep me out." Sirius reminded him of the various secret passages like the one from the Shrieking Shack but Hunter countered, asking if he thought Dumbledore really didn't know of those entrances.

"Something concerns me." Sirius pondered aloud. "Why are you routinely breaking Dumbledore's nose. or hitting him in general?" Hunter sighed before answering. "Aside from the hell he put me through, the same hell he sentenced Harry to, Some people cannot be reasoned with. They only see their way and nobody else's opinion, or beliefs." Sirius was about to ask but Hunter continued before he uttered a word. "Since he will not listen to reason, he refuses to discuss other options, the only way to get through is to beat it into him. And since he has already tried to have me killed….."
