A decade had passed since Jill and Charlie's killing spree, and the town of Woodsboro had returned to a sense of normalcy. The people had moved on, and the terror of the past had faded into distant memories. However, tonight would mark the beginning of a new nightmare that would shake the town to its core.
Tara Carpenter, a young resident of Woodsboro, was home alone when her phone rang. She innocently answered it, not knowing that the voice on the other end would change her life forever. As the conversation took a sinister turn, she realized she was speaking to the infamous Ghostface. Frantically trying to escape the house, Tara was cornered by the masked killer, who brutally attacked her. Just as Ghostface was about to finish her off, the police arrived, forcing the murderer to flee, and leaving Tara severely wounded.
This vicious attack marked the return of Ghostface to Woodsboro, reigniting the fear and panic that had once plagued the town. The residents would once again find themselves caught in the middle of a new cycle of violence and terror as they sought to unmask the killer and put an end to the nightmare once and for all.
Jill sat in the visitation room, expecting another one of Sidney's visits. To her surprise, the person who walked through the door was not Sidney, but Deputy Judy Hicks – now Sheriff Hicks.
"What are you doing here?" Jill asked, her curiosity piqued.
Judy's face was grim as she replied, "There was an attempted murder last night."
Jill's heart skipped a beat, but she tried to keep her composure. "Okay, but what does that have to do with me?"
"The attacker wore a Ghostface costume, used a voice changer, made the phone calls...the whole nine yards. It was just like your killing spree."
Jill's blood ran cold, and she could feel her heart pounding in her chest. "You can't be serious."
"I am," Judy said, her voice tense. "I need to know if there was anyone else involved with you and Charlie. Anyone who could be carrying on the Ghostface legacy."
Jill shook her head, her eyes wide with fear. "No, it was just the two of us, I swear. We didn't have any other accomplices."
Judy studied Jill's face, searching for any sign of deception. "If you're telling the truth, then we have a copycat on our hands. And that means we need to find them before they strike again."
Jill could only nod, her voice shaking as she realized that the nightmare, she had hoped to leave behind was far from over.
Kirby was determined to get answers from Jill, convinced that she knew more about the new Ghostface than she let on. They sat across from each other in the visitation room, the tension between them palpable.
"What are you up to, Jill?" Kirby demanded; her voice tight with anger. "Who do you have doing your dirty work now?"
Jill stared back at Kirby, silent for a moment before finally replying. "You got me, Kirby. Caught red-handed." She smirked wickedly, playing along with the accusation. "I'm behind all of this."
Kirby glared at her with a mix of hatred and fear as Jill continued "That's what you wanted to hear, right? That I'm orchestrating some kind of revenge plot from behind bars? Because it's so easy to plan something like that from in here, isn't it?"
Jill's smirk faded, her voice taking on a more serious tone. "Well, you're wrong. I'm sorry that you're scared, and I know how terrifying it must be to think there's a new Ghostface. But it's not me."
Jill hung up the phone and told the guards they were done. As she was led away, Kirby was left to face the harsh reality of the situation. There was a new copycat killer, and no one in Woodsboro was safe.
Kirby returned to her car, her mind reeling from the confrontation with Jill. She sat there for a moment, trying to process everything, before finally letting out a scream of rage. Why couldn't it just be Jill? It would have been so much easier to deal with if the new Ghostface was someone she already knew and despised.
She sat there, overcome with emotion, for what felt like an eternity. Finally, she wiped away her tears, her resolve hardening. She reached into her glove compartment and pulled out her gun and badge. Kirby was no longer the scared teenager she had been during Jill and Charlie's killing spree. She was an FBI agent now, a protector of the innocent and a force to be reckoned with.
With newfound determination, Kirby vowed to do everything in her power to take down this new Ghostface and keep the people of Woodsboro safe. No matter what it took, she would see this through to the end and ensure that justice would be served.
Sidney visited Jill with the news of a new Ghostface. Jill said she had already received visits from Judy and Kirby, and at least the first victim wasn't "an opening kill for once," so no one had died. Sidney looked solemn, informing her that Dewey had told her there had been a death and a second attack already. The second attack had occurred in the hospital, targeting Tara's older sister Sam. Luckily, she had survived.
Jill expressed her relief that at least Sidney was far away from that town now. Sidney stiffened, and Jill instantly knew what this meant. "Tell me you're not serious," Jill said, her voice full of disbelief. "Tell me you aren't that stupid."
Sidney's expression was resolute. "I have to go back, Jill. Those kids have no one to help them. They need someone who's been through this before, someone who understands."
Jill shook her head, incredulous. "And you think you can save them?"
Sidney's eyes filled with determination. "I have to try. I can't just stand by and let this happen again. I owe it to everyone who's been hurt by Ghostface... and I owe it to myself."
With that, Sidney left the prison, her heart heavy with the knowledge that she was about to walk back into the nightmare that had defined so much of her life. But she also knew that she couldn't turn her back on the people who needed her, even if it meant facing her darkest fears once more.
Jill was surprised when she received a letter that contained a phone number. This could only mean one thing. She went to the prison pay phone and dialed it, and a voice she once used to terrorize others came through the receiver.
"Hello, Jill, I've been expecting you... It's an honor..." Ghostface mockingly answered.
Jill's blood ran cold, but she forced herself to sound unimpressed. "What do you want from me?"
"Oh, Jill, you think this is still about you? No, I'm much better than you ever were." Ghostface replied.
Jill scoffed. "Better? Don't flatter yourself."
Ghostface pressed on. "Spare me. You're a washed-up has-been."
Jill bristled at the insult. "You wouldn't last a day in here with me."
The new Ghostface laughed menacingly. "You're a joke, a shell of what you once were. You're known across Stab forums as 'the one who was caught.'"
Jill's voice shook with anger. "I'll find out who you are, and when I do, you'll pay for this."
"Good luck with that. This is merely a burner phone, with no way to track." The killer's voice turned cold and menacing. "If it's any consolation, I promise to finish what you couldn't. I'll kill Sidney, and then her precious kids are next."
Jill felt a surge of protective anger towards Sidney and her family. "You LISTEN to me you Son of a bitch, if you lay a hand on those kids, I'll fucking send you straight to HELL with Charlie Walker!"
Ghostface laughed cruelly before hanging up, leaving Jill to stew in her anger and fear for Sidney and her loved ones. This new Ghostface had just made things very personal, and Jill knew she had to find a way to help, even from behind bars.
Sidney arrived in Woodsboro and met with Judy, Kirby, Dewey, Gale, and Samantha and Tara Carpenter. As Tara recovered from her attack in her hospital room, they all gathered to discuss the latest developments in the case.
Judy informed everyone about the chilling revelation: "Jill Roberts received a letter containing a number, and when she called it, Ghostface answered. The number was traced to a burner phone, which was found thrown in a lake. There's no way to trace the purchase."
The room fell silent, as everyone processed the information. It was clear that this new Ghostface was meticulous and cunning.
Dewey spoke up, his voice heavy with concern. "We need to be on high alert. This person knows what they're doing, and they're playing a dangerous game."
Gale chimed in, determined to contribute her expertise. "We should look into any recent purchases of Ghostface costumes and voice changers. Even though the phone can't be traced, we might find a pattern or a lead."
Sidney looked around the room, feeling a sense of camaraderie with the people who had been through so much with her. "We'll face this together, like we always do. We'll protect each other and the people of Woodsboro."
As they tried to figure out the killer's motive, Samantha hesitated for a moment, then decided to share a piece of information that could be crucial. "I think it might be because of me," she said, her voice shaking slightly.
The group looked at her, puzzled. Sidney asked, "Why would you think that, Sam?"
Samantha took a deep breath and revealed a long-hidden truth. "Because I'm Billy Loomis's daughter. Tara is only my half-sister."
The room fell silent, the weight of the revelation sinking in.
Kirby finally broke the silence. "You're... you're what?" she stammered.
Samantha looked around at the group, all staring at her in shock. "My mom had a relationship with Billy before he went crazy. She got pregnant with me, but she never told him. After everything that happened, she wanted to protect me from that part of my life. But it seems that the past has a way of catching up with you."
Dewey rubbed his forehead, trying to process the information. "So, this killer could be targeting you because of your connection to Billy?"
Samantha nodded. "It's possible. Maybe they think they're avenging him or continuing his legacy. I don't know."
Sidney reached out and placed a hand on Samantha's shoulder. "We're here for you, Sam. No matter what your connection to the past is, we'll help you face this."
With the new information in hand, the group vowed to work even harder to uncover the identity of the killer and protect Samantha and her family from the ghost of her father's past.
Kirby found herself back in the visitation room with Jill, her heart heavy with reluctance. She looked at Jill, her eyes cold and determined. "I'm not here to hash out the past, and I certainly don't have any love for you," she began. "I just want to know how a Ghostface thinks. And who better to ask than a former Ghostface herself."
Jill raised an eyebrow at the mention of 'former.' It wasn't much, if anything, but maybe it was a start. She sighed, resigned to the fact that she couldn't change the past, but maybe she could help in some small way.
"Alright," Jill said, her voice steady. "I'll tell you everything I can."
As Jill began to describe her thought processes during her time as Ghostface, Kirby listened intently, trying to gain any insight that might help them catch the new killer. Jill explained her motivations, the thrill she felt when she killed, how she meticulously planned each attack, and how she kept her identity hidden.
Kirby asked questions, trying to understand the mindset of someone capable of such violence. "Did you ever feel remorse? Or did the thought of getting caught ever scare you?"
Jill hesitated before answering. "At the time, I didn't feel remorse. I was blinded by my own twisted goals. As for getting caught, I thought I was invincible, that I could outsmart everyone. But I was wrong."
Kirby took note of Jill's revelations, hoping that understanding the inner workings of a killer like her would give them an edge in their search for the new Ghostface. As she left the visitation room, she couldn't help but feel a slight sense of gratitude towards Jill for her cooperation.
