Hey guys. I can see y'all want more of "Ice Devil's Angel," which makes me happy to hear. However, to get back into the groove of things, I've been given a golden opportunity by none other than the famous GraLu author, LadySVI, to take on her story "Bride of the Ice God," which originally belongs to the author writer4everr.
The reason Lady-san abandoned it was because her idea of where it should've gone didn't match with the plot of what writer4everr had and decided to pass it on to me to publish.
Anyway! Hope everyone is doing well!
Disclaimer: I do not own Fairy Tail or any of its character. I do not own this plot. This plot belongs to writer4everr.

Cana - Present
The silence lasted for a quarter of a second before Lisanna let out a horrified, blood-curdling shriek. Her face was as white as a ghost and her lips parted as she viewed Lucy's body fall to the floor in a bloody mess. Dropping down to the floor, she tried to apply pressure to the wound but Gray yanked her away.
"Lucy, Lucy!" she cried out, tears falling down her face in an angry stream.
"Lisanna, stop it! That's not her!" Gray growled out, angrily. She struggled in his grasp attempting to escape his hold.
"It can't be!" Lisanna wailed out. "She asked you, 'Why?'!" the handmaiden insisted. "How could you?" she punched against his chest, trying to help the mortal before her.
Gray repeated firmly. "It wasn't her. I'm positive." His voice rang out; truthful and even Lisanna sensed it. She stopped struggling and tried to calm herself down with little deep breaths.
"Th-then who is this?" she whispered out. The tears still fell as she looked at Lucy's body in disbelief.
Cana's eyes widened in surprise. That hadn't been Lucy? But, she hadn't noticed any change in her aura or anything weird…how had Gray known? Could it be that it had been a... "Shifter…" Cana breathed out.
Natsu's attention snapped towards her. "Shifter?" he repeated, astounded.
Cana went into action, swirling her wine glass and blowing on it. She spilled her wine onto 'Lucy's' limp body. As soon as the first drops fell on her skin, her body arched upward becoming animate.
Her head was thrown back and the golden blonde faded from her hair into jet black and her brown eyes snapped shut and reopened to reveal glowing red, demonic eyes. The female shifter stood up shakily with a cruel smirk drawn upon her face.
The shifter snarled and leaned back on its haunches attempting to leap up in the air but was frozen in its spot, Gray's ice creeping up her legs. The shifter let out a furious shriek, and Cana could see her muscles tensing as she attempted to break free of the magic.
Cana turned to Gray. "Hurry up," she muttered under her breath.
He nodded and gestured to Natsu, Erza, Levy and herself. "Complete transformation," he commanded.
Erza tilted her head to the side and her owl echoed her movement. "Just for this small fry? Complete transformation is not worth the waste in magical energy."
Gray turned to her with a snarl ripping out of his throat. "We're going to find Lucy by force."
The scarlet-haired goddess shrugged and cracked her knuckles. "All right then, this should be fun."
Cana's lips curved into a smile, complete transformation, eh? Erza was right. This would be fun.
The Wine Goddess closed her eyes, feeling the rush of magic surge in her veins and spread down to her fingertips and toes. The power was tangible, filling every inch of her body. Her hair flared around her, disturbed by the intense power radiating from her. After centuries of mastering her craft, Cana could never get over the rush of raw power.
Cana opened her eyes, soft violet now bright, intense, and cat-like. Hands became claws, skin became fur, canines extended, and suddenly Cana was on all fours fully transformed into the sacred animal mortals worshipped as the symbol of unleashing one's inner force and prowess, which could be accessed through wine and inebriation - The Panther. Instead of earthly ebony, Cana's panther form was six times bigger with a beautiful ivory coat and claws and teeth of silver. Each leg had silver and gold bangles, her panther ears were pierced with beautiful silver and gold pieces.
Cana looked around to see that the others had transformed as well.
Erza never failed to impress with her selection of armor. Since she was the Goddess of War, she could easily switch out her armor and weapons with her magic based on her opponent or the environment she was fighting in. Right now, she was wearing her trademark Goddess of War armor that even mortals new about - the Original Armor - her true form.
It was all golden, perfectly polished and one could easily see their reflection. While the armor was a battle dress and seemed heavy, Cana knew that for Erza it was lightweight. Her entire body was covered in gold armor, but the most outstanding part was the giant gold wings on her back - each feather an individual blade. Cana watched in awe as Erza's owl hooted and transformed into her trademark golden staff, the top being an owl with enclosed wings at the top. Her shield materialized and landed on the ground with a large thud, but Erza, as always, easily hefted the shield as if it were made out of paper. Last but not least, a Spartan helmet covered the scarlet-haired woman's head - instead of the traditional plume, it was a long, sharpened edge.
"Jesus, Erza," Cana found herself saying. "I didn't expect you to go all out."
The War Goddess only smirked. "He said complete transformation."
Cana was happy they were fighting on the same side.
While Levy wasn't much of a fighter, being the Goddess of Knowledge, her true form was a force to be reckoned with and actually quite eerie. A third eye appeared on the bluenette's forehead, and another pair of arms elongated from her body. Colorful peacock feathers draped from each of her arms. Her garb changed to a flowing white gown made out of lotus petals. Her weapon of choice always sent shivers down Cana's spine. She watched as it materialized and landed delicately in Levy's hands. It was a golden koto - a very traditional string, wind, and percussion instrument engraved with swans.
One would think the Goddess of Knowledge had no offensive power, but it was in her words. Hence, Levy was renowned for her beautiful swan songs - the last thing her enemies ever heard from her instrument and her voice.
Natsu's hands and legs transformed into scaly, red dragon talons along with a spiked tail and dragon wings. His eyes were now a sharp green instead of the regular onyx, taking on more of slanty, predatory gaze. Long, sharp horns elongated from his head, and his canines extended with flames bursting from his body. While he took on a half-dragon form, there was also a debate amongst the gods that he even was a half demon as well.
As for Gray, his tattoo on his arm expanded and traveled across his body in dark, ancient markings. His midnight eyes now glowed bright red, demon-like almost. The air around him dropped several degrees, Cana could even see her breath. Obsidian and silver armor protected his body, which the Wine Goddess found kind of ironic since he ended up somehow stripping it off slowly during fights. His hands glowed and two swords formed out of red ice, different that his usual clear blue.
The shifter put on a confident smile, but Cana could see that she was trembling slightly. For good reason too, an immortal in complete transformation was one not to mess around with. Six immortals in transformation and you were dead.
Gods, Goddesses and Witches/Warlocks normally went around in their human forms, but complete transformation revealed their true appearance and allowed them to use their powers without any limitations. However, with the added power, bloodlust came along with it, heightening emotions for a fight and inexperienced immortals tended to get out of control. Cana had done this for so long the bloodlust hardly affected her.
Natsu moved first, leaping up and landing behind the shifter. Cana heard two loud cracks as Natsu snapped the Shifter's arms behind her back. She let out a shriek of pain and tried to shove him off of her, but she was still paralyzed from Cana's spiced wine.
Cana's keen eyes could see her wine magic slowly fading. "She's going to be freed soon!" Cana cried out to Gray.
Gray snarled and raised his hand. In a flash, his sword of ice was on the shifter. "Where is Lucy?" he growled.
"Ha! That girl, she's dead by now!" the shifter bit out with a wicked smile.
The sword drew blood. "One more time," Gray repeated. "Where. Is. She." His jaw was taut, and his eyes were dark with bloodlust.
"She was taken back to the cove," the shifter spewed out as the sword pressed deeper and deeper, fearing for her life.
Seeming satisfied, Gray let of the pressure off the shifter's neck, but in the blink of an eye, the shifter's head was rolling on the palace floor.
Erza sighed and stared at the corpse that now lay on the floor. The body began to crackle and decay with the stench floating around in the air. "Gray, that was unnecessary."
Levy nodded in agreement. "Erza's right. You need to control your bloodlust, Gray. We'll find Lucy," she promised.
Gray let out an impatient growl. "Now. I need to find her-"
"This isn't good," Lisanna interrupted, her already pale face paler than usual. She was looking outside the arched windows and her hands were trembling.
Natsu's dragon-like eyes eased a bit. "What's wrong, Lisanna?" he asked with worry coating his tone.
"Shifters. They're invading the palace," she whispered.
Cana bounded to the window to see what she was talking about. Sure enough, a band of shifters were climbing the walls of the palace, several bodies of the guards were strewn around the ground. "My…god." She tried to swallow back the bile as she viewed the massacre. Fury rushed through Cana, her magic building up even more in distress and anger. "How dare they desecrate holy ground?" she growled out.
Lisanna inhaled sharply, "I-Is that Lucy?" she asked in horror. She trembled, pointing out to a shifter. Cana drew closer to the window and saw bright blonde hair as if spun from gold. Cana squinted, seeing that she was draped over a shifter's shoulders.
She wasn't moving. Cana found her voice. "G-Gray…she's not moving!"
Levy shook her head. "She's probably just unconscious, we can't jump to con-"
But it was too late. Gray was furious. He let out a livid snarl and jumped out of the window, spraying glass shards over everyone's bodies.
"Gray!" Natsu hollered after him. Gray ignored him and leapt down to the gates of the palace, facing the shifters with hatred.
Cana turned to Erza. "That idiot," she muttered. "You and Natsu go down and assist him. Lisanna, Levy and I will ensure that all the servants are okay, and we'll fortify the palace's security."
Erza smiled wickedly, "Of course. Natsu, are you ready?"
He grinned. "Just say the word. I'm all fired up!"
Erza gave a brief nod and leapt up into the air and somersaulted out of the window and landed out onto the pavement gracefully despite her armor. Natsu followed suit, jumping out of the window, his dragon wings guiding him to Erza.
Lisanna turned to Cana. "Should I alert Lady Mika?"
Cana shook her head. "She probably already knows. Your best bet would be magic rune protection spells around the palace doors."
She nodded timidly and murmured a spell quietly and disappeared in a whirlwind of leaves.
Cana let out a breath and nodded to herself. This was nothing. Just a small shifter invasion, they were going to crush them.
"This is turning out to be an eventful birthday," Levy cut into her thoughts.
Cana turned to her with a feline grin, "It's all right…way better than staying cooped up in the palace. C'mon, let's go kick some ass."
Lucy - Present
Lucy's head hurt. That was all she could comprehend. There was a slow, steady pounding in her head and she blinked rapidly as she came back to consciousness. She dimly remembered walking out of the party and then somebody had come up behind her… She jolted up immediately and found that her body simply just slumped down again, as if her bones had been reduced the jelly.
"Lucy!" somebody called for me distantly, and she tried to respond but her mouth wouldn't move along with her brain. Instead, a garble of gibberish came out of her mouth, and she tried once more to say something, anything.
A closer voice spoke in a high giggle, "She's up, boss! What shall we play next?" Lucy's eyes swerved upwards to see a little girl with adorable corkscrew curls and wide blue eyes. And then her eyes traveled to her flouncy white dress, which was stained with blood splatters.
A deep voice spoke in a quiet rumble, "Release the spell on her," he commanded. Lucy couldn't see the man that spoke but the girl who was still in my sight let out a long sigh and complied. She raised her hand and chanted out a spell.
Almost immediately, Lucy felt invisible shackles release their hold on her wrists and the feeling returned to her legs and arms. She sat up and let out a small groan at the returning pain in her head.
The girl bent down to stare at her curiously. "So you're the Lord Gray's bride!" she extended her hand and smiled brightly. "Momo's my name!" Lucy took the hand uncertainly and felt her hand being burned by a sharp pain. She snatched her hand back in fear and pain.
Momo snickered. "Honestly, mortals are just so stupid." She giggled. "Look, Lord Gray came to save you!" she crowed out and pointed over. Lucy struggled to sit up and leaned over to see where she was pointing at.
Relief flooded her like a warm current as she saw Gray standing there with his jaw clenched angrily. Nastu and Erza stood behind him with indifferent stares upon their faces. She briefly admired their godly forms.
The girl, Momo, snickered. "He's mad, I can tell. He wants to rip our heads off for taking his precious bride. But we told him that if he rushes us, we'd kill you." She clapped her hands together, joyfully.
Irritation flickered within Lucy and her body unknowingly glowed a faint gold. "W-Why did you take me?" her voice trembled.
Momo smiled, licking up some more of the blood up. "To be honest, I have my own reasons for wanting to kill you. I was the shifter that you managed to hit when you first came here."
Recognition flickered through Lucy's mind, "That was you?" But now she was just a little girl! That had been a monster, a beast earlier.
Momo grinned, "Remember me now? Anyways, that's my reason. But who we're really after is the Ice God. We heard that you're his weakness and shifters want to take advantage of that."
"What do you have against Gray?" Lucy demanded.
"Oh…just that he froze our water supply after we played a simple prank on Lady Mika." She rolled her eyes, but Lucy could tell by the tone that it was anything but a simple prank. "Well, playtime's over. Let's get serious, shall we?"
She raised her hand, the skin coloring into a deep brown and claws formed at her fingertips. "It was nice meeting you," she stated solemnly. She raised her clawed hand and made one swiping motion across Lucy's shoulder.
The blonde let out a little gasp at the sharp pain. She felt a crack, the gush of blood and she struggled to stay conscious and block out the pain. "Gray!" she screamed out. It hurt; it hurt why wouldn't the pain stop?!
Lucy heard Momo giggle, "My claws are cursed such that once hit by them, the pain will never stop. You'll either die from the intense physical or mental pain. I'll let you choose-AHHH!" she gave a pain-stricken shriek as she was thrown to the floor by a blur.
Lucy clamped down on her shoulder and saw that Gray was on top of the shifter. But something was different about him. His eyes were red, and he was covered with black markings and armor. He let out a vicious growl and knocked her across the pavement, her face covered with dirt and blood.
"You dare, break your oath with a god!" he snarled out. "You said if I didn't move you wouldn't harm her. I should have known better than to trust scum like you." Icy wind whirled above him like a deadly tide that would whip out at any time.
Momo got up shakily and motioned for her shifters to listen. "Attack them," she hissed out through clenched teeth. The shifters nodded and leapt up to attack Erza and Natsu. The War Goddess grinned wickedly and readied her fighting stance.
Momo wiped the blood near her mouth and made a hand sign. Her body twisted and cracked as she morphed into a beastly creature with bull horns and fangs.
Gray let out a bitter laugh. "It doesn't matter what you transform to. You're dead to me." His eyes flashed and chills traveled down my spine.
"G-Gray," Lucy whimpered out. She hated to sound so weak, but the pain wouldn't stop. She didn't care about Momo; she just wanted it to stop. "It feels like it's on fire!"
Gray turned back to her, eyes fading back to his regular midnight hue. His swore softly and knelt beside her. His cold hands hovered above her wound and glowed. Suddenly, a sheet of ice compressed the wound. To Lucy's surprise, it seemed to do the trick - the ice kept that feeling of being on fire at bay and numbed the pain. "I can't just leave it like this," Gray said. He turned to call Erza who was in fighting two shifters. "Erza, get Lucy to Wendy!" he called out seeing that Momo was approaching.
Erza jumped atop a shifter's shoulders. "Kind of busy here! Give me a second!" she let out an irritated growl and morphed her staff into a golden sword and stabbed the shifter clean through its chest.
The shifter let out a low growl, and Lucy saw its body twist as it morphed into the form of Jellal. She let out a whimsical laugh. "You'll have to do better than that!" she sang out and just pushed the sword deeper into its heart. The shifter let out its last groan before it collapsed to the ground, dead. Erza sprinted over to Lucy's side and pushed Gray towards Momo. "Take care of her, I'll get Lucy to safety."
Gray gave a quick nod and turned his attention back to Momo, his eyes turning back to the blood red color she saw earlier. He lunged toward the shifter and with a fist encased in spiked ice, thrust a powerful punch that sent Momo flying. Her body came crashing down and Gray surged forward with another attack.
Erza yanked Lucy by her chin. "Hey, I wouldn't watch this if I were you." Lucy heard the crack of bones, and she struggled not to look. Erza smiled. "Don't worry, that wasn't Gray. Trust me, that shifter has no chance. Come, let me take you to Wendy."
Lucy protested. "But-"
Erza's eyes widened and she grabbed her, pulling me up into the air and then landing 50 feet away.
Lucy saw the reason why she had pulled her away as Momo's body came crashing down at the exact same spot. Gray came leaping down and landed right next to her body. Lucy saw with dread that he too was covered in blood and cuts covered his cheeks and arms.
She stumbled forward trying to pull him back, away from the danger. "G-Gray," she called out hoarsely.
Erza grabbed her hand and squeezed it comfortingly. "He's okay," she whispered.
Lucy's heart lurched and her mouth opened on its own accord. "Don't you dare die Fullbuster!" she screamed out, maddened by the sight of him dripping with blood. Whether it was his or not, the sight still frightened her.
Lucy yanked away from Erza's hold and ran as fast as her legs would carry her over to Gray. She could hear the distant, defeated yell of Momo as she fell to the ground, never to move again. She could hear Erza yelling for her to stop. Lucy's ears were filled with the sound of fighting and yelling, but she only saw Gray with blood all over him and a surprised expression across his face as he saw her stumbling towards him.
Her feet left the ground as she tackled him. He let out a muffled groan, and she looked down to see his half-amused and half-distressed expression.
Gray - Present
The Ice God felt like he was moving in a dream when he fell backwards as Lucy landed on top of him. He saw her face and knew that it was her for sure. It wasn't some shifter posing as her. He had to laugh as he saw their position. "You say you don't want me to die, yet you tackle me to the ground," he said dryly.
Lucy smiled in relief, looking past the blood and the dirt smeared all over his face. "You're really okay," she whispered.
"I'm not that fragile," he scoffed in reply, almost slightly offended.
She grinned and leaned towards, giving a quick kiss to his forehead.
"You're okay," she murmured again, as if she couldn't believe that he was alive.
Her smile made his next words catch in his throat. His eyes trained onto the wound on her shoulder and noted the amount of blood smeared all over her white kimono. He swallowed heavily as he thought of the danger he had put her in by being brought to the supernatural world and for not being returned to the mortal world as soon as possible. Lucy mentioned she didn't want to return anymore, but she didn't know of the dangers for staying in the supernatural world. Especially because he was her bonded - his weakness. If she had been killed, he wasn't sure what he would have done, but he had a feeling he would have lost himself to the bloodlust even though he had never had an issue with it before.
"I'm okay," he echoed back faintly, finally finding his voice.
Hope this brings back some hope to some fans who thought this was gone forever. Sorry if it wasn't as good as Lady-san's own personal style to it, but I'll just get this out for you guys.
Have a nice day :)
