The return of Arthur Pendragon and the missing Holmes
Chapter 1 Holmes missing person
"I'm saying I saw him."
"Now, look here Mr?" the police office said only to pause as he stares at the old man. "Mr."
"Merlin. I'm Merlin."
The office of the law clearly didn't know what the man was on about, but nodded his head along with the story despite it.
"Yes, I know."
Merlin knew what the man was thinking about for everyone in town knew Merlin. However, saw him as a crazy old man talking to pigeons of all birds as he figures with his long white bead.
"I saw a Holmes."
"A Holmes."
"Yes, a Holmes the other day down the street past Jerry Lanes."
"Jerry lanes? A Holmes."
"I know I should've reported yesterday but I got caught up in work."
It wasn't everyday one saw a Holmes down the street much less wandering about and then news hit him. There was a Holmes missing. A Holmes missing and lost and who knows where which isn't good because the last he checked they were a very rich and very noble family and now one of them was missing. And, the last person who possible saw him alive was Merlin the great or as all Smith town like to call him Merlin the nuts.
"I saw a Holmes yesterday afternoon I believe he might be Hermaphroditis Holmes. The youngest of the Noble family."
"Dear lord, he's been lost for two weeks nobody seen or heard him since their dinner party. Jerry lanes you say?"
"Jerry Lanes I say," said Merlin.
"I'll put a report into it you've done good old man. Now, get going you. I've got work to do"
Merlin muttered under his breath and then walked out wandering what to do. He wasn't always like this a long time ago he used to work for a King not for a run down village that was falling apart. Heaven knows why a noble family like the Holmes would want to live in this area much less work in an area like this.
Then an idea occurred to him.
His eyes narrowed and he wander off down the street and went looking for the legendary mansion that was said to be the Holmes noble household. He's never left the park he's been homeless since his King perish years ago. People been giving him small bits of scraps and coins here and there giving him enough to live on, but not enough to enjoy life. He grunted and took a turn. Damn people not showing him respect. Him, Merlin the Great, King of the servants became a slave to the system his King would be rolling in his grave at the lack of respect given to him.
So, he puffed and put his back up straight and walked through the snowy streets. The only problem as he walks he finds no mansions which is kind of strange in a sensed. He mutters to himself and wanders a bit more but there nothing new or fancy in this small town. Making him think that the Holmes are from another city possibly one with more life than this old run down place that used to be a court ground.
Once.
Once before back when he was young oh so very young and that was a long, long, long time ago.
It went back to the earns ago. And, then that prick cursed him with immortality and now he's here still alive, old and yet living he should've died ages ago and by that he meant the thirteen century. He sighed and huffed again putting his hands into his pocket and glancing around the streets one more time looking for anything fancy, but nothing popped up just old wooden and worn down houses.
"Can I help you?"
He glared at the man he didn't want to be help, but either way there was a man in front of him him wearing a red suit with a long red cape. He had magic. It was the first thing he sensed right of the bat. It was one of his many skills being able to sense people with magic. It used to be common in his days and people got burnt because of it, often burnt for failing their King in the craft. He never failed his King.
"No, who are you?"
"Stephen Strange. I know you. You're the old man who feeds the pigeons. Merlin the Great?"
"I am. Why do you ask?"
"I've got a student who needs teaching."
"I'm not a teacher." he quickly rushed into say.
"Then I'm sorry you've lost a job opportunity."
The man turned his back on Merlin and started to walk away.
"Wait. Do you know where the Holmes household is?"
"No, I do not."
Merlin wanted to know about anymore information the man might had, but he walked quickly away and by the time Merlin caught up with him Stephen Strange was gone.
Chapter 2 strange footsteps
Stephen Strange wander into the court yard after teleporting he knew something was off the moment he walked into Jerry Lanes a strange feeling followed him and he didn't like that feeling. It was telling him to be on the watch. Telling him to be mindful of something of someone and the moment he spotted the man he knew he was up to no good.
A trouble maker.
Possible.
A murdered.
Maybe.
A nutter.
More dangerous likely.
But he needed a teacher.
He needed someone to teach his younger student since he was currently busy with other projects, running a school was one of them.
His younger student was not ready for that challenge. All because his youngest didn't have magic meanwhile the other students in his area did have magic. He was looking for someone who had magic, but didn't use it as often which was hard to find since all he knew were witches and warlocks. Not suited for the boy his age meanwhile there was also the case he was working on.
The youngest Holmes was missing and the Holmes household demanded him to be found at once so naturally they put him to the test paying him a fair amount of crash.
For now though he will keep tabs on the local police while he works on finding Arthur a teacher before Arthur father. Uther lectured him about the lack of care.
He muttered to himself wondering where his student went to wondering what an earth he was doing and what he was up to before he noticed something odd in the court yard. Tracks.
Not just any tracks.
Wolf tracks, something that wasn't at all human nor looked human and an animal that walked on fours. Great, just what he needed a wild hound wandering into the area where his student was last seen playing net ball with a couple of magical peers his age. He muttered to himself again swearing under his breath and waving his hand shutting the open windows and open doors shut.
"Mr. Strange what's going on?" asked one boy rushing up to the teacher.
"Inside Wong."
"But Mr."
"Inside," he chastised.
"Yes, Mr."
Wong didn't say a word after that as he rushed off inside the last open door of the castle Stephen followed in shutting the door shuts.
"And, what appears to be the problem?" asked Rosemond the head mistresses.
"Wolf tracks possible wear wolf like in form."
"Wear wolf? Are we sure?"
"Not too sure, but I'm not taking a chance not after Neville was killed in the wild mutt attack."
"Very well, Stephen I'll in trust you with this task. Good luck."
And, Rosemond wander off down the hall her pink robe dragging along the floor as Stephen walks off his hand swiped to the right. And, all of a sudden any student that was seen or caught I. His eye sight was picked up off the floor by magic and floated towards the classroom.
"Whoa, floating," Mordred said.
"I hate this," Hope muttered.
"You hate moving as a whole," added Wong.
"Zipped it." Hope said rudely again.
Hope Zac was a rather rude and abuses ten year girl with horrible messy hair and who thought she owned the world under her hand and yet one of his students. He needed to remember to at least try to be kind to a ten year old spoiled brat who didn't know any better. Tried.
And, so with his magic he forced them to sit down in their chairs and stormed to the front of the class. He looked around and pinched the bridge of his nose at the sight of his students. The rest were whispering along themselves while Wong and Mordred were chatting along themselves and Hope was glaring at the table, they were all there. He thanked the stars for that detail and then it dawned on him all, but one. The most important one the human child.
Arthur.
"And, where is Arthur?"
"I think he went wandering to his chambers Mr. Strange," Leon said.
"Great, just what we need. Hope can you find our missing student so we can start this lesson?"
"I really don't want to. He's such a dork."
"Hope."
Maybe one day she will give him hope that she won't be a brat. Maybe.
"Fine, but only because I know where he is."
Hope stormed off out of the classroom and after a while she came rushing back inside with a brat with curly blonde hair and one of his many students.
"Ah, Arthur it's about time you've arrived."
"Sorry, Mr. Strange I was studying on wearwolves."
"Don't know why he's never going to a Magic School." said Hope the other students laughed all, but Leon.
"That's enough all of you," Stephen said after noticing the hurt that flashed in Arthur eyes. "As for the rest of you do behave as for you Arthur go find a seat."
"Yes, sir," the students said in unison.
"Now, there appears to be a bit of a problem strange footsteps we're seen in the court yard today. Wolf like possible wear wolf tracks. Can anyone tell me why they were seen and which one of you've been playing with dark magic this time around?"
Wong put up his hand and Stephen rolled his eyes as he stormed over to open the shutters only to quickly close the wooden doors.
"That isn't picking on Hope being a snotty little brat."
"I am not a snotty brat," Hope huffed.
"You are too me especially if you keep practicing dark arts behind our back. So, who sent that wolf and how did it get past the wards?" he asked.
"I don't know. I don't know anything about that kind of thing."
"Like you sent for the red cap and the wild dragon?"
"Maybe."
"Hope Zac."
"I really didn't do anything this time around Mr. Strange honest."
Stephen Strange glared at his student as he tried to read out if she was truthful she was known for her lies and for her tricks along with her devilish ways. Bringing dark creatures into the school was just one of the examples she would do just to cause a scene and so he glared at her heatedly before he decided that she truly wasn't apart of this attack. For all he knows Merlin the great might've cursed the land bringing wear wolves into their location.
"Very well just this once I'll take your word for it Hope. Just this once," he warned. "But if it turns out to be you young lady you there for will be here by band from the school. We've had enough of your dark creature running around the yard understand Hope."
"Yes, sir."
"Now, as for the rest of you. You will find yourself moving to a different school a more advanced school once you all turn eleven. You will be expected to learn and to be taught by the great of the greatest when it comes to magic."
"What about no magic?" asked Hope as she pointed to Arthur.
"He will attend."
Some students gasped and eye wide at the news others let out a laugh at the thought of a no magical student going to a magical school.
"Once I find him a suitable teacher he will work as a solo practitioner."
"But only magical families have the power to wield magic," said Wong nervously. "So, how will Arthur be able to wield such power? No, none magical child was able to hold magic before Sir."
"Then it will be an accomplishment for him to be the first," Stephen said sternly.
"Yes, sir," Wong agree.
"As for the rest of you I expect you to work well during your final grades it counts as your passing in points for your entrance feed into entering Magical High. Are there any questions?"
Hands went straight up and Arthur was one of them.
"That doesn't involve asking questions about the Holmes life."
"But sir?"
"Very well," he sighed in defeated.
"Who's Hermaphroditus Holmes?"
"Hermaphroditus Holmes is the youngest of the Holmes family and currently seen as a missing person. Anything else?"
"No, sir."
"Good then turned to page two hundred and one."
"Yes, sir," students mumbled in defeat. And, so they did.
Chapter 3 job chances
Sherlock Holmes pace the floor wondering what to do as he waited for his brother arrive at least one of his brothers arrival. He gave up waiting on the youngest Holmes days ago. His older brother though hasn't forcing the pair to get along as they worked on the toughest cold case there is. How to find Hermaphroditus Holmes.
"Ah, there's my brother late as always." Mycroft Holmes said as he walked into the room.
"You're the one to talk. I've been waiting here for the last couple of hours."
"Shorting holes in the walls?" asked Mycroft Holmes.
"What's wrong with shouting holes in the wall it's ever so dull after all."
"Then do something brother dear because we've got a problem our youngest is still missing."
"He will show up when he wants food."
"Sherlock," Mycroft said sternly. "That emotionally abuse is something I will not tolerate."
"Huff."
"Sherlock."
"Very well brother I'll behave."
"Good."
Sherlock glared.
"Now, what is it Sherlock?"
"Where is Oliver?"
"Probably storming around like you would normally do thinking she owns the place."
"We do own the place."
"Yes, with father old money. This is why I want you to start walking since we have a bit of a problem."
"Working? Me, eww no I don't want to."
"Then expect yourself to be living on the streets."
"Me? You expect I the great Sherlock Holmes to be living on the streets."
"The last person who said he was great ended up on the streets and now known as Merlin the nutter." Mycroft said.
"And, you call me rude."
"Sherlock."
He flipped opened the newspaper. "Fine, fine I'll look for a job maybe the one in the police department."
"Look my point is simple Sherlock. Get a job."
"What's yours?"
"I have a government position at the Halls of Magic."
"Perfect so do I. Let's go cherry all."
"Sherlock," Mycroft said sternly.
"Fine, fine," Sherlock said as he picked up the news paper. "I'll look for a job maybe in the police department."
"I have something better a teacher position at Magic High."
"Magic High?"
"Sherlock," his brother warned.
"I supposed Magic High might be the best bet."
"Well done I'll inform the head mistress of your arrival. I expect you to be there."
"Yes, Mycroft," Sherlock muttered he didn't want to go then again he didn't want to work. His brother had other ideas for his future though.
Chapter 4 the wild chase
Merlin grunted and wander down the cold road he was heading towards the forest well knowing pigeons were flattering after him.
He didn't know why, but they tended to follow him either way he walked down the path and through the woodlands it was coming to sunset soon. He decided to pick up logs on the way and started up a near camp fire nearby. Sitting down he wonder to himself about what to do as he watched his fire burn there wasn't much food to catch in the woodland especially at winter time either way he kept himself warmed for the night and watched out for anymore people who might be wandering the woods. It used to be a little bit busier back in his heyday portal walked through the woods every hour or so.
Either way he sat by his fire muttering to himself and cursing the ground around him. He was cold and shivering despite the fire, but remained patience through out the night until he heard it. The sound of wolves howled in the distance which woke him up during the night his eyes snapped opened at the mere sound.
"What was that?" he said out loud and glanced around the area only to find nothing about. He chucked some logs of woods onto his fire which put it out immediately. "Who goes there?"
He heard someone heavy breathing in the distance and the sound of a wolf barking he ran off into another direction only to run into another person.
"Come on."
He didn't care who it was but the person shouldn't be in the woodland alone so he grabbed the person by the hand and dashed out on the woodland.
"Help a kidnapped."
He covered a hand over the person mouth and hushed him as the sound of growling was heard in the distance.
"Shush, I'm trying to save you there's wolves in this woodland."
"They're not wolves there wear wolves."
"Wear wolves."
That was even worst than wolves.
"Come on then let's hurry."
And, so they hurried down the sloppy path and past the large oak tree they duck under the willow tree and kept on dashing off the wolves followed though their growls getting thicker and darker with every step scaring the old man and the young boy. Until they both came to a stop at a boulder wall. Three wolves approach.
"Well, look what we have here. More than one boy to chew on," a wear wolf said.
"There you are."
"Hope."
The girl name Hope smirked with her hands on her hips as she hopped down the rocky path and landed.
"Found you."
"Hope this isn't funny anymore you've got to stop this."
Merlin tried not to compared the young boy to his once glorified King. He looked similar in size very similar just somewhat smaller in comparison to what King Arthur body size was.
"Stop what Arthur? All this fun for what?"
"You've killed our teacher. You've killed our class mates and now your planning to kill me and strangers too. I know you're rude Hope, but I didn't think you were this rude."
"Arthur don't be surprised. Who else was letting dark creature wander the court yard but me?"
Merlin eyes widen at the name he took another glance at the young boy and recognised Magic Starts uniform. The girl didn't have the uniform she must've changed out of it ages ago for she stood in a black dress. Great, just what he needed an evil ten year old that wanted to rule world.
"But you didn't need to kill them and feed them to your, your…"
"Dogs?" Merlin finished.
"Hounds," Arthur answered.
Eh, close enough.
"My dogs are very fussy Arthur they only eat human meat. And, what's the best way to feed them by giving them students from Magic Starts."
Merlin found himself in the wrong fight because by the looks of this he found himself in a battle and not any battle a magical duel to the death. He used to spend time chasing after these people and burning them at the state on behalf of his King orders. And, now he finds himself with a perfect cut out of his late King, who is studying magic oh what an odd twist.
"No."
"No, what? You can't be throwing a hissy fit at me you muted. For I'm still top dog when it comes to wear wolves," said Hope.
"This is where we make a run for it," muttered Merlin. He grabbed the boy hand but was quickly pushed aside the boy muttered and chanted under his breath and pushed Hope and her wear wolves back.
One wear wolf let out a cry and walked away with his tail down while the other bark vigorously and Hope stamped her foot causing a light shimmer across the ground, Merlin was sent back while the boy hand flowed yellow light and sent Hope flying back into a tree the other wear wolf made a run for it.
"Come on. Let's get out of here before she sends more of her magical creatures." said Merlin.
There was something awful about the boy he had gotten pale, shakily breath and tired and Merlin couldn't work out why until it dawned on him.
"Crap, you're not a magical being."
A none magical being using magic for the possible first time in his life. Not good. Alright, so now what does he do? Leave the boy for dead or take him with him?
He takes the boy with him surprisingly himself.
Chapter 5 Hermaphroditus found
The boy didn't make it as for what Merlin saw by the time the pair got a far distance away from the witch he was practically dying in his arms. It brought bad memories back to when his King died in his arms and now he was seeing a child death, magical or not he had gotten over his bias of magical creatures centuries ago.
"Does the child need help?"
He flinched at the tone and turned around to see a man in a dark blue dressing brown standing in the middle of the woodland he was a little caution well knowing there were other nutters outside of him hiding in the woodland during this time of day. Hope was just one of those examples.
"Who are you?"
"Hermaphroditus Holmes the youngest of the Holmes."
"The one who went missing?"
"I supposed I did go missing, but I really just wanted fresh air."
"You've caused a great fussed by doing that."
"I have noticed," Hermaphroditus looked towards the boy on the grassy floor. "Now, about the child. Does he need healing aid?"
"He does. He's not magical, but used magical like abilities. I'm afraid he won't last much longer because of that especially if he was in a wild mutt attack."
"Then perhaps it's time for me to go home. My brothers could help him out more than I especially one of them he's very magical. Follow me."
Merlin picked up the child and gently thrown him over his shoulders and followed the young Holmes. The pair didn't walk far because the woodland soon met an end and Merlin was welcomed with the sight of an old fashion large semi run down house.
Hermaphroditus knocked on the door lightly and was welcomed by the sight of an older figured wearing a black suit and using an umbrella as if it was a walking cane. The man eyes widen.
"Brother?"
"Brother."
There wasn't a hug or a warm welcomed like Merlin expected it was a firm hand shake.
"Do come in brother. Eh, but who are you two?"
"Merlin sir, I found a none magical child using magic his body is under a server amount of stress."
"Well that's none of our business take him elsewhere. I hear there's a school for that kind of thing, three towns down south. Do take care."
Before the door could close on the pair Hermaphroditus stopped the door from closing.
"Brother perhaps it would be nice to let these two boys in. There is a wild mutt attack and it be soulless not to aid them during these winter seasons."
"We hardly know them and you expect me to just let them into the household."
"Brother, just one chance," Hermaphroditus pleaded.
"Well I never in my life. Out of all the ridiculous ideas…"
"Sherlock very magical if anyone could help the child it be him. And, beside if brother finds out about this I don't think he would be very kind to us if we let his kin down. Well he now, brother?"
"Well, I never." Mycroft rubbed his chin. "But I supposed you make a fair point. Then quickly come on inside. Quickly before it gets dark. Wild mutts are known to attack at full moon."
Merlin nodded his head, taking off his muddy boots he walked on inside carrying the child on his shoulder. Mycroft closed the door behind them after quickly glancing outside and lead the way.
"Who attack?"
"Some child by the name of Hope Zac."
"A Zac, hmm most trouble," said Mycroft said. "I've heard of the name but it's only popped up recently. Now, where is Sherlock?"
"Brother have you heard on the news about the wild mutt attack at …." Sherlock paused and frowned at the sight. "What happened?"
Chapter 6 adopting
Sherlock was explained everything later on that day. He used his old school wand to heal the young lad up he didn't stir nor moan in pain so Sherlock took that as a good sign that the boy will recovery.
"What has happened to Magic Starts?"
"A wild mutt attack brother every student and teacher was killed on sight according to the news. All, but one it seems," Sherlock said.
"I think you mean two," Merlin added in.
"Two? And, you are?"
"Merlin the great."
"Oh, please with those shaggy run down worn clothes you'll be Merlin the slopped."
"Sherlock behaved," Mycroft said.
"I am behaving and I'm telling the truth."
"Sherlock."
"No, he's right I might be Merlin the sloppiest but at least I'm not Sherlock the grinch."
The two narrowed their eyes and frowned at each other only to turn a glance at the child who was waking up in front of them.
"Where am I?"
"Safe for now. I believe you're in the hands of the Holmes family one of the most well known magical families there is," said Mycroft. "This is my brother Sherlock and the person who has saved you is none other then Merlin … Merlin the …"
"Great," said Merlin.
"The sloppiness," said Sherlock bittiness. The two men glared.
"Yes, will now you know. And, you are?"
"Um, Arthur."
"Did you just say Arthur?" Sherlock asked as he paced around the room.
"Yes, maybe." Arthur said looking at Merlin with helpful eyes.
"Don't look at me I'm a strange old man I could be evil," said Merlin.
"You don't look evil."
"I bet your Hope didn't look evil either."
"Well no, but still…"
"Still?"
"Not everyone has to look evil to be evil. Wait, what never mind I meant to say…"
"Hope Zac is A class known dark witch. A dragon summon, a wear wolf summon a troll summon and now a class known murderer and an A rank rouge student of Magic Starts all at age ten. Age ten. Whatever she was to you back then Arthur is all gone. Gone every bit of friendship she's ever made with you does not matter anymore."
"But, but…"
"Arthur her friendship with you was a lie."
"But?"
"But what?"
"It's just that we used to be friends."
Sherlock and Mycroft exchanged glances.
"Arthur, there's two types of people in this world the killers and the none killers," explained Merlin.
"We can't be all killers."
"I'm sorry Arthur but most of us are."
"Even you?"
Arthur looked ready to cry as he sank into the couch. Merlin waved his hands around in the air.
"Whoa, whoa slow down just slow down. I don't mean it like that."
"But…"
"I only kill in self defence," muttered Merlin. "I mean I did. I mean I used to. I mean, look Arthur there's no right or wrong when it comes to killing just what is merfculy."
"Merfculy don't be bullshit. Nomads don't give a shit about that kind of philosophy. Arthur there will come a kind in every man life where there force to hold the gun or their wand. It be up to them to realise the killing curse. Understand?"
"I, I think I do." Arthur said shyly. "But killing cursed are very advanced wizards only and Mr. Strange said l might be fully human."
"Strange. As in Stephen Strange?"
"Yes, sir. He's dead by now though."
"In that case you can take my brother as your teacher. What do you think Sherlock?" Mycroft said proudly.
"I have better things to do than be a teacher to a fully human being magic," Sherlock huffed hurt flashed in Arthur eyes.
"I'll take him in," said Merlin.
"And, what will he become sloppiness the great two point zero?" muttered Sherlock.
"At least I'm not an abuses to a child," Merlin stamped.
"That's enough the both of you. Merlin you will look after Arthur until he starts Magic High as for the rest of us I expect Sherlock to start his job there meanwhile I'll go fetch our new person some clothes and that goes for the same with you Hermaphroditus I expect you to change into something new."
"Yes, brother."
"You cant be seriously. Mycroft you expect us to share this household with a with nomad."
"Yes," said Mycroft sternly. "And, be nice he's just gone through a shocking experience so be patience with him. See this as a test brother dear. You will be working with children soon and I expect you to be on your best behaviour. Understand?"
"Fine, I'll try my best."
"I'll keep them in line brother," Hermaphroditus said as he bowed.
"Oh, good. Now, goodbye the both of you."
"Excuse me," huffed Merlin.
"All three of you," said Mycroft.
Chapter 7 the break up
Hermaphroditus glanced at the child in front of him. Dressed in newly formed clothes with a Sherlock keeping an eye on both of them Hermaphroditus eyes glanced around looking at anything that wasn't his own brother. While they waited for Merlin to appeared. Merlin did so in the end dressed in red the clothes still looked like rags, they were the oldest pair Mycroft once wore, hand me down at that he wouldn't take the fine things no matter how Mycroft popped the question up.
"Ta-da," said Merlin. Showing off his new clothes his bread had been shave showing off his grey hair and the slight smile behind it.
"You still look sloppy," Sherlock muttered.
"I think you look fine," said Hermaphroditus.
"I think you look awful."
"Ignore Sherlock I do," said Hermaphroditus.
"Huff."
What a fine night it was, Hermaphroditus thought to himself as he glanced at the window.
"So, what do you want me to do anyway? Be a servant?"
"No, we already have one by the name of Mrs. Hudson." Hermaphroditus said.
"I see. Will let's see you forced me into a new pair of clothes won't let me leave the place and I know I'm not being kidnapped because I'm not worth any money nor value and you expect me to do what?" asked Merlin.
"He makes a point brother, expect him to do what?"
"Be a butler," Sherlock said.
"We've got Mrs. Hudson."
"She's the cleaner and Merlin shall be the butler."
Long time ago he was the cleaner to the King and now he was expected to cook.
"I'm a better cleaner than a cook."
"I don't think you are you've walked in here wearing rags and you expect me to believe you're a better cleaner then a cook?" asked Sherlock.
"I used to be a better cleaner than a cook," corrected Merlin.
"Ah, you were showing off then very well."
"Be it as it may ill show Merlin the basic of cooking brother if you can answer one question for me. Where is Oliver?" asked Hermaphroditus.
"Your girlfriend is off to who knows where."
"Please tell me she isn't your sister," Merlin pleaded.
"Of course not, sister by bond yes but not by blood," said Hermaphroditus.
"So, no Merlin there is no in breeding rumours have it you go mad if you're crazy enough to do it with your own kin." Sherlock added.
They do go mad at least the last royal family Merlin knew went mad when they bread with each other.
"That's good to hear that you're not dumb, dumb. Now, come on show me how to cook and I'm sure your brother will look for your girlfriend," said Merlin. Sherlock huffed as if he hated the mere idea of being told what to do by a nobody like him.
"Very well, come along Merlin. Well you be coming along to Arthur?"
Arthur looked between the two Holmes and then at Merlin.
"I think I want to go with you then stay with scary man," said Arthur shyly.
"Great, he's a no magic. Only we have fear you lot are far too prideful," said Merlin.
Merlin got the feeling that Sherlock knew he was lying.
"We are not that prideful."
"Could've fool me. Do you even know how to cook without your magic?" demanded Merlin.
"Well, ah… no not really."
"Great, got a library?"
"We do."
"And, why would a servant want our library for?" Sherlock demanded.
"To learn to cook," said Merlin starting to get impatience. "I have no magic."
"Great, you've picked up a hopeless servant," muttered Sherlock.
"And, this is where I leave. By all."
Merlin was pulled back by Hermaphroditus.
"Stay."
A flash of hurt flutter through Merlin blue eyes before the door opened.
"I can't find him. I can't find my boyfriend oh Sherlock it's awful, it's awful I tell you."
A young girl with white skin appeared wearing a light green skirt and a white top she stepped into the house and stormed on in ignoring Merlin and her own boyfriend.
"Sherlock you're smart maybe you can help me find Hermaphroditus?" she asked.
"Do look around and use your brain for once Oliver," Sherlock muttered her eyes widen and she squeal in delight and rushed over to her boyfriend giving him a hug.
"Oh, thank the stars," she sobbed.
"Oliver."
"Hermaphroditus I was wondering…."
Whatever tears she had in her eyes were quickly gone and Merlin couldn't help, but slightly frown at the pair especially Oliver she reminded him too much of the first girlfriend his King had dated centuries ago. A woman who was willing trying to break his heart.
"Oliver we need to talk."
"Talk okay, what about?"
"About us."
Merlin raised an eyebrow wondering if the youngest Holmes left because of his girlfriend.
"Yes," Oliver squeal again likely thinking she was going to get married.
"I don't want us to be a thing anymore," Hermaphroditus said slowly as if unsure. Oliver crashed down crying and Merlin winched at the sound.
"You want to what…"
"Oh, good. Now, hurry up leave my brother alone off you go you greedy sobbed," said Sherlock pushing Oliver out the door and shutting it behind her.
"Brother," Hermaphroditus said stamping his foot.
"What, what? It's true and you know it is you've made a bad move going out with Oliver her whole family are killers and gold thieves. I on the other hand have a better match for you."
"He just broke up with his girlfriend and you expect him to date another woman soon after?" asked Merlin.
"Yes, only this one won't break his heart."
"Jane, do come down," Sherlock said.
Chapter 8 Jane Doe
Something wasn't right with the world that was the first thing she noticed about the globe especially waking up to a man by the name of Sherlock Holmes. That was the first odd sign she noticed about this world the first odd sign indeed and now she was here in some old fashion run down house wearing a new blue dress and black high heels it was a must to wear. Sherlock said for some strange reason, Sherlock said and so Jane just did. Not wanting to upset the stranger who practically kidnapped her into his home, expecting her to hook up with a whom. She's read the novels about him and watched the movies. And, now she was currently in his own mansion dealing with him as he expected a wife for his brother.
Last time she checked the wife for his brother was Oliver Jewels a heart breaker and a spy working with Jim Moriaty who ends up shooting him in the chest and leaving him dying of heartache. She was not the wife of Hermaphroditus Holmes and yet here she was. She frowned at the thought, but continued down the marble steps as she reached the bottom of the floor she noticed Sherlock Holmes standing there a child, some man in red whom looked old and worn out but also the most charming man she had ever met in her life.
"Jane Doe. This is my brother Hermaphroditus Holmes and um Merlin the sloppiness."
"The great."
"Says whom?" Sherlock splat.
"Says a Great King."
"King must've been blind deaf and dumb. Anywho carry on I'm off to start my day at Magic High I do believe Arthur I have to take you shopping to magic lane to gather your school supplies."
"So, soon?"
"Of course so soon school doesn't wait around for just about anyone. Now, come on off to it."
"Yes, Mr."
"Oh, please I'm Professor Holmes."
And, off the two go leaving Jane alone with none other than Hermaphroditus Holmes and Merlin the great.
"Who are you?" asked the youngest Holmes.
"Jane Doe. Sorry about the sudden dropped in your brother didn't give me a chance. He swift me off my feet and told me to change into a pair of clothes and now I'm here talking to you two. Nice meeting you two the way."
"I'm sorry to hear my brother expect a marriage proposal if he kidnapped you."
"Wonderful we're two kidnapped victims together. I've been kidnapped to cook and look after the brat while you're kidnapped to marry a strange rich man that you've never known in your life." Merlin pointed out. "Meet kidnapped life style everyone you get paid limit wage."
He got paid in food when he worked for his King. He hopes he still gets paid in food.
"I've been kidnapped for a marriage proposal," shock the girl. "Me. Kidnapped to marry a Holmes."
"I do believe so," Hermaphroditus said.
"Oh, the joy another Gwen," mocked Merlin.
"I think I'm in shock."
"If he's a gold thief this is where we both run," muttered Merlin.
"What's a good theft?"
"A person who doesn't work," said Jane. "Um. Can I have a phone call I need to tell my mum about this."
"Ah…"
"This is where you say yes," said Merlin trying to be helpful.
"Um, of course."
"Thank you, I just need to tell her where I am that's all. So, where is this phone?"
"Three rooms to your left."
Jane nodded her head and wander down the hall looking for a phone to call her parents.
"Where's the kitchen?" asked Merlin.
"Two rooms down to your left." Hermaphroditus said. Merlin nodded and wander off leaving only the youngest Holmes and Arthur alone.
Chapter 9 the phone call
She was here she was actually here in the run down old mansion she was somehow and somewhere in the Holmes mansion. This shouldn't have happened this shouldn't have been how it worked she didn't remember Hermaphroditus ever dumping Oliver and her, she was here.
Either way she rang up her mother using the old timely fashion phone that had buttons to press instead of a screen. She clicked these buttons trying to remember her mother phone call and waited until her parent picked up the other end. And, waited, and waited, and waited until she paused and frowned at the lack of answer. She hanged up and tried again.
"Hello," said a sweet voice on the other end of the line. She frowned once she noticed it wasn't her mother.
"Um excuse me. I'm looking for someone name Peggy Doe."
"Oh, I'm sorry she's not here I'm Hinata John by the way."
"Do you know her?"
"No dear I don't."
She sobbed at the thought. She was in another world far away from her parents, far away from her friends and her family sentence to marry a stranger and left for dirt in the middle of nowhere. What was she going to do and what will she do?
"Are you okay dear?"
"It's just that, it's just that I'm lost and apart of the Holmes line," Jane sobbed.
"The Holmes line. Oh, how awful. You're not stuck with that freak are you? What's his name Sherlock?"
"No, it's the youngest one. Hermaphroditus Holmes."
"Oh, how awful. I'm so sorry to hear about this. I'll tell you what I'll come over and meet you and we will see from there."
"Thank you, I could use a friend right about now."
"Of course."
She didn't trust this new person, but it was better than being alone stuck in a household full of men.
"Thank you. Thank you for at least trying."
"You're very welcome. Oh, no I almost forgot my lunch. I'll catch up with you later." said Hintna.
"Thank you," said Jane hanging up the phone and gulping back her tears. This was awful her parents didn't exist in this life her parents, her own parents didn't exist and yet she did she narrowed her eyes and stared at the window. It was dark, but she knew the snow still covered the cold ground and the trees had lost their leaves as the branches from today were covered in snow.
She was here.
She was actually here and for the life of her she didn't want to be here. She didn't want to be in Britain much less Great Britain, she muttered under her breath and stormed off into the living room where Hermaphroditus was waiting.
"Where are the others?" she wondered.
"Merlin a quick learner he's in the kitchen making us supper. Arthur helping him out."
"And, does he get his own meal?" Jane wondered.
"That depends if the food is good enough."
"You expect him to do all your work and feed him none? That sounds unfair to me," said Jane.
Hermaphroditus eyes narrowed. "Then what do you propose?"
"Pay meant sounds fair."
"And, pay with what gold? This house hold is being run by what our father has given us our gold is little. This is why Sherlock and Mycroft are off job hunting."
"Any, luck?" Jane asked.
"Mycroft has found a job in the Halls of Magic and Sherlock has found a job in teaching magic as for me I've been told I'm too young to work."
"And, you are how old?"
"Sixteen."
"Strange where I'm from that's normally the time you start."
"And, you are from where?" Hermaphroditus asked with a frown.
"A far off distance land," she said dreamily thinking about home. "I've called my mother but couldn't reach her. Although I was able to reach a ummm friend. Yes, that's right a friend."
"Ah, I see," Hermaphroditus said with a small frown. "I supposed one friend is allowed."
"Oh, good because that's all I have," she chuckled nervously. "Yep, all I have."
The two stared off into space looking at anything else, but each other until the smell of cooked food was sensed from the kitchen and that's when Jane spoke up again.
"That smells delicious. I will have to see what he's up to," Jane said as she wander into the kitchen. Hermaphroditus followed after her looking horrible lost at what to do.
When she entered she was welcomed by the sight of good smelling food. She wonder how he had done it since Merlin even said he was a better cleaner then a cook either way chicken and potatoes with freshly made gravy was set up and ready to go with a Merlin buzzing around the kitchen.
"What a wonderful meal," Jane said happily looking willing enough to try it.
"I have no idea how he did it," Arthur admitted. "He didn't know what he was doing before and looked awfully lost until something strange happened and then all of a sudden everything is magical."
"Magical?" asked Hermaphroditus. "Merlin do you study magic?"
"Ah, no maybe probably."
"Merlin."
Jane knew the man did, but Hermaphroditus didn't know.
"You can tell him."
"I don't really want to talk about it, but here dinner ready. I'll crave the meat and dinner will be severed."
"What about you?" Arthur asked.
"Servants eat last."
"Hermaphroditus," said Jane bitterly.
"Servants normally do." said the youngest Holmes. "Come we shall have dinner."
Merlin lifted two trays of food and helped himself out of the kitchen Jane and Hermaphroditus followed with Jane feeling a little guilty that Merlin didn't and couldn't eat until later. Arthur followed after the group and by the time they arrived dinner was placed on the table with Merlin promising to gather Arthur meal the two of them sat down with Arthur dancing on the balls of his feet looking forward to his meal.
"And, last but not least a yeast for a young King," Merlin paused. "I mean student. I'll take my leave."
"Thank you Merlin."
Merlin bowed and wander off into the kitchen once again leaving the young couple and Arthur to dine.
Chapter 10 disappearance
"I'm telling you it won't be such a bother."
"Oh, please Sherlock I don't mind thank you for letting me stay for the day."
Sherlock Holmes walked into his mansion roughly around midday with a young woman following right behind him by the name of Hinata. She was slim with a tan complexion and long black hair she walked through the household carrying her hand bag.
"I understand that Mrs. Doe is going through a fair bit with being in a new situation. Has she reached out to her parents Mr. Holmes?"
"Not that I know off, but I won't be surprised if she had tried to reach out to them I'm assuming my brother has allowed her phone calls." Sherlock said.
"Hopefully he has. Otherwise not allowed at least one phone call would be seen as abused and then I'll be afraid I'll have to call the cops on you to let the law know of a possible kidnapped victim," Hinata said.
Sherlock Holmes didn't appeared to show any hint of nervously towards the young woman he was after all a very good actor and a very good lair.
"Yes, well off course I am well knowing of the laws. And, by all means she is allowed the right to call family and friends especially finding herself in a strange location."
"Of course."
"I'm glad to see we are parting on good terms." Sherlock said holding out his hand.
"Who says we're parting?" huffed Hinata.
"Um…"
Sherlock Holmes well admit he was a little late for one thing you don't just allowed none magical people in a household of magical people.
"I have a friend to see."
Hinata took her handbag and lightly stormed off leaving a shock Sherlock in his wake.
"Jane knock, knock are you here?" asked Hinata politely as she entered the kitchen with Sherlock in tow.
"I really don't think this is the best idea," said Sherlock as Merlin turned around. The servant was currently doing the washing up and glanced over his shoulder to see master and strange woman behind him.
"Mr. Holmes and you?"
"Hinata John. I'm here to see some young lady by the name of Jane."
"Jane Doe she's in the dinner room."
Sherlock was trying to give him the single of do not let this girl through the living room, but Merlin was obviously to it to focus on washing up.
"In the dinner room."
"Thank you."
Sherlock stamped his foot and Merlin turned to give him a shrugged of his shoulders as if to say there was nothing he can do when it comes to stopping a woman especially when he was out of her rank.
Sherlock followed after her before she could reach the living room she scream and gasp and Sherlock face palm.
"What in the world?" asked Hinata. Jane and Hermaphroditus dashed into the room with Arthur in toe.
"What happened?" asked Jane only to noticed the floating objects and scream beside her new friend.
"Ta-da magic," Sherlock said copying his new servant used phrase. "Is real. Please don't burn us."
Sherlock caught Arthur stuffing food into his mouth and with a flick of his hand he gave Arthur cute little brown rabbit ears and cleared his throat like nothing happened.
"You're magical," Hinata said.
"Sherlock Holmes you can't have everything floating in here it will catch the wrong attention," said Jane shocking them all.
"Excuse me?"
"Someone call?" Merlin head popped out the kitchen door.
"Whoa magic," Arthur said with a thumbs up. "Something new."
Sherlock knew the boy was mocking all of them after all none magical child grew up in a magic school. And, yet somehow possessed magical powers on a small level.
"Brother who is your lady friend?" Hermaphroditus said with a caution glance.
"Hinata this is the youngest of the Holmes. Hermaphroditus this is Hinata I may have allowed a none magical person into the household."
"Sherlock," Hermaphroditus said outraged at the news.
"It's the biggest mistake of my life but never fear I shall fix it," said Sherlock proudly. "With a snap of my fingers you shall be gone."
He snapped his fingers, but Hinata wasn't gone it was Jane. The group paused, glanced at one another and then screamed in unison.
Chapter 11 Merlin the Great
"What did you do?" Hermaphroditus almost screeched. "She was here and then she was gone your meant to be the master of magic. Not the fool of magic."
"I may have made a mistake, but that's fine I'll bring her back."
Sherlock snapped his fingers expecting her to come back, but found nothing other than a faint Hinata.
"Well we saw that coming," said Merlin. "I'll help her to the couch."
Merlin bent over and lifted her up into his arms and carried her to the couch.
Sherlock started to panic and snapped his fingers rapidly only to find nothing happening and no sight of the girl he hooked his brother up with appearing. What a bother. He gulped at the thought not only was he in trouble with the Hall of Magic, but he was going to be in trouble by the law itself his own kidnapped victim had disappeared.
He was doomed.
Unless, unless, ban an idea occurred.
"Merlin, do you know anything about other dimensions?" Sherlock asked in a panic tone, Merlin frowned as he placed Hinata on the couch.
"Other dimension?"
"There's been a mix up I haven't been very truthful."
"Since when have you been truthful brother," said Hermaphroditus.
"Since normally, honest this is just a mix up just a small one."
"Other than the fact you allowed a woman into the house hold who couldn't take magic well. And, you may my new friend disappear?"
"Yes, maybe, maybe look it's a bit more complicated then that. Jane isn't from here."
"Obviously not," Hermaphroditus said bitterly. "She is clearly from out of town."
"No, she's from another world at a total," Sherlock said stamping his foot.
"Like three blocks down?" Arthur wonder as he walked into the room. "When do I get the bunny ears removed."
Merlin cleared his throat with a cough and all of a sudden the rabbit ears were gone. Hermaphroditus found that strange since he didn't remember Merlin having the magical power to do that. He figure it was his brother magic wearing off from him.
"Another world, another dimension it's as if she in another room that is surrounded by space and far out of anyone reach she's there she's from there."
"Like another dimension?" Arthur asked.
"Yes."
"Parallel you got her from an actually parallel world?" Merlin asked.
"I did. From a parallel world. She's from another parallel world," Sherlock said.
"And, you sent her back?" demanded Hermaphroditus.
"No, I think I sent her to the wrong world," it dawned on Sherlock.
"Ahh, so now what?" Arthur asked.
"Well it's been lovely to talk to you all, but I've got to go and look for another job position. Yep."
"Sherlock," Hermaphroditus said firmly. "Send her to the right one at least."
"At least? Will, I would love to brother but the thing is I don't know the right world nor the spell," muttered Sherlock as he chewed on his nails.
"Then find someone who knows," warned the youngest Holmes.
"Like whom?"
"A Druid," Merlin offered.
"What's a Druid?" asked Arthur.
"Peaceful nomads."
Or, at least they were in Merlin times before he betrayed his own people. Maybe they might help bring back Jane, maybe.
"What about Hinata?" Arthur asked.
"We will leave her here until we return home. It shouldn't be long, Merlin do you think you can take us?"
"Of course, I'll show you the way," said Merlin proudly.
"With magic," Hermaphroditus said firmly.
"Magic? Me, little old me using such power," Merlin said nervously. "Don't be ridiculous I don't have such a power."
"And, yet Arthur rabbit ears banished in a very short amount of time as if it was magic. Knowing my brother which I do he is very good at that said magic. Meaning what Merlin? Oh, that's right it was meant to last longer than it should've. Merlin the Great? Or, should I say Merlin the successor of King Arthur throne?" Hermaphroditus said sounding so sure of himself that Merlin held back a nervous laugh.
"Well?" asked Sherlock sounding a little surprised.
Merlin signed. "It's true. I'm the heir of Camelot throne. Follow me and I'll lead you the way."
Chapter 12 Camelot
Camelot was one of the most well known and busy cities the world had known. Bumbling sky scrapers and large court yards along with a proud newly refurbished castle sitting in the middle of the city.
This was Camelot.
Hermaphroditus had always wanted to go to Camelot, but couldn't not with his father sick and his mother away at work. Mycroft was often too busy trying to bring food on the table to help them travel so, Sherlock and Hermaphroditus kept to themselves and stuck with helping the family as much as possible. However, after their parents died Mycroft gave both brothers freedom to move around and so they did even if the youngest Holmes ran away in the end.
Hermaphroditus frowned ever so slightly when he noticed people were keeping their distance between Merlin they started to whisper and mumbled to themselves and kept in small little groups away from him. If Merlin was heir to the throne then why were his own people afraid of him? Not everybody knew about his magic he hummed to himself at the thought obverse the way people were treating their supposedly King.
"This way, come on," Merlin said as he gestured for them to hurry up. "Don't show your, you know magic at them they might not react to well too it. This way, come on hurry up watch the step."
The pair watched the stone narrowed steps they walked up using the wall as their rail ensuring they won't fall backwards or forwards as they do so. Hermaphroditus glared at the wall once he noticed a vision was starting to appeared.
"Come on Merlin hurry up," said a man with blonde hair looking very much an older Arthur. "Do hurry up we don't have all day you know."
"I'm hurrying. I'm just not used to this many steps."
"Well if only we could fly up the steps it would be easy on us all."
"Can't do that without a broom. A broom, Arthur a broom," said Merlin.
"Merlin don't be ridiculous brooms are used for cleaning. Cleaning Merlin not for flying."
The vision ended.
"Cool, stone steps I can climb on these all day," said the younger Arthur before him as he hopped up them.
"Do be careful," Sherlock sneered.
"I always am."
"Merlin who was Arthur?"
"The King of the castle son of Uther."
"That must've been what centuries ago?" asked Hermaphroditus.
"It was. A long, long time ago very long time ago. It was known to be the first city ever made in Britain. It's the heart of the Kingdom or at least it used to be. Before I took over and embarrassed the kingdom it's hated me ever since."
"And, these Druid's?"
"My people I was meant to rule. But ran away from and found this place. And, may have ran away from it too. I'm not a very good King."
"Obviously not," Sherlock splat.
"I think you'll be great at it if you didn't run away from it," said Arthur hopping up the final step.
"He makes a point," Sherlock flatly said as they reached the narrowed hallway.
"Who's in charge of it while you're away?" asked Arthur.
"You'll see. I'll speak to her first she would know where the Druid's are," said Merlin with a small grin. "And, then we figure out the spell and find Jane and go back to your run down mansion and everything we'll be back to normal."
"Fine by me," said Arthur as Sherlock glanced around the narrowed hallways.
"This way come on."
Servants gasped in shock as Merlin walked past them some of them dropping their fruits while others had to catch their trays of food before they hit the ground.
"Come on don't be shy you two," Merlin encouraged.
"I think they're shy of you," said Arthur as he ran to catch up.
"Yes, I supposed. A city you say a city. I do believe I have else where to be." Sherlock said.
Hermaphroditus pulled his brother by the shoulder and dragged him down the narrowed path. Merlin reached a wooden door and a butter welcomed him with a bow. The door opened.
"He's right don't be shy."
"Yes, well it's not everyday you meet a Queen," sneered Sherlock.
"And, I want the advisors to the left and the council men to the right," said a woman in red with long dark red hair.
"Why is there a Queen if you're the heir?" asked Arthur confused at the news.
"I had to pick someone to take over the duties while I'm away being an old man," said Merlin.
"So, you picked a woman?" asked Arthur with a frown. "I don't think father would like that idea. Wait, why did I say that?"
"Yes, why did you say that?" Hermaphroditus asked.
"Everyone meet Queen Elizabeth. Queen of Camelot and my successor." Merlin said proudly.
"Your successor," Arthur splat in disgust almost as if past lives memories were coming back.
"Yes, who said that," Queen Elizabeth eyes blinked rapidly at the new voices her blue eyes turned both of them as she placed her reading glasses over her nose. "Oh, uncle welcome home."
"Uncle," the three said in shock.
"A woman?" Arthur blurt out. "Merlin!"
"Arthur be polite this is the Queen," said Merlin as he took a bow to welcome her.
"But, but, but…"
"My lady I need your support on a certain matter and I was wondering if you know where the Druid's are these days?"
The young Queen blinked at the news finding it suddenly shocking.
"Druid's? Oh, those so called peaceful no mads. I believe they ran into the woodland again after being pushed out of the city for a rather violet protested."
"I see woodland, what direction?"
"North."
"Thank you Queen Elizabeth."
"I do wish you stay for the night uncle. I fear the south might bring someone to challenge me and I know you're just an old man, but I'm not fit enough to fight to the death in a duel."
"A duel against a woman when you're a man is abuses My Lady. I might be too old to take part, but Hermaphroditus is a fine lad who will do will to be your champion."
Hermaphroditus feels as if he had too much pressure on his shoulder he's never fought in a duel before.
"I'm not very good with swords," he admitted.
"I'm not very good with knives," added Sherlock.
"I'll fight," said a determined Arthur. "Give me a sword and I'll show him. I'll will."
Only to be pushed aside gently by Merlin. "We'll be there for you Queen Elizabeth."
"Thank you uncle and your very brave young man, um … whom?"
"Arthur my Lady."
"When you're older you shall fight for your Queen. How does that sound young knight to be?"
Arthur smiled at the thought Hermaphroditus feared for his life.
Chapter 13 Sir Gwaine
"We've should've told Mycroft," said Hermaphroditus as he stirred his ale.
"You think."
There was a party held in their honour of the return of Merlin the Great and his friends it was a small dinner party. Filled with workers and servants no slaves at sight.
They weren't wearing anything fancy just fine working clothes as they carried trays to the Queen and to Merlin. Arthur wasn't happy with his dinner and huffed and crossed his arms while Sherlock decided that the floor looked awfully nice and glared at it as in hopes his own brother wouldn't duel to the death with a knight. Meanwhile Hermaphroditus had other plans. He was thinking about strategist in how to beat a knight. An actual knight he was just a nobleman in comparison.
"An actual knight. If I ask my lady who is this knight?"
"A gentleman from the northern borders Gwaine I believe his name is."
He noticed Merlin choking on food and he noticed Arthur give him a big slapped on the back causing him to cough up whatever he was choking on.
"Thank you," he said clearing his voice.
"Is everything okay uncle? You wouldn't happen to know this man would you?"
"I've heard of his name before he's a noble knight. From another land unsure of the location, but if he's here to challenge a woman then that may be the sign of warfare."
"I believe uncle he's looking to challenge a man not me, but is unknowing of my situation."
"Be that as it may be it's very odd for a kingdom to challenge a Queen especially to the death," Merlin said bitterly.
"Gwaine," muttered Hermaphroditus. "I believe I've heard of Sir Gwaine name before. Wasn't he one of the knights of the round table?"
"I do believe he was," said Queen Elizabeth. "That's a very long time ago. Long before I was born."
"What a knight from the northern border with the name of a Camelot knight doing here?" wonder Hermaphroditus.
"I'm sure we can question him after the duel," she paused. "I hope."
People were heard screaming and glass shatter. Servants dropped their trays and made a run for it while Merlin grabbed a hold of his niece hand and looked to the door. Arthur grabbed his fork and pointed it like a sword while Sherlock nervous didn't go away and hid under the table meanwhile Hermaphroditus glared at the man who just broke into the castle. The knight horse neigh loudly and stood on its high legs while the knight let out a cheer as the horse slowly return back to its all fours. Stem puffed out of the horse snort and people made a dash for it while the knight took off his helmet.
"I'm ready to fight," said Arthur pointing his fork at the man.
What appeared was a slim white male with long shaggy black hair he wore simple white clothes under his knight amour but Hermaphroditus still couldn't tell what coat of arms the man wore.
"Charming young lad, but only the fit can battle me. So, My Lady." Sir Gwaine hopped off his horse, walked to the Queen and took a bow. "And, the fool?"
"Uncle," said Merlin with a frown.
"Ah, I see. Well, I'm here to battle your most fitness knight for the throne."
"On whom orders?" asked the Queen.
"Queen Gwendolyn of the northern borders."
Another name from Camelot lore Hermaphroditus recorded. Only this one felt more like a lie.
"The one from old river north?" wonder Queen Elizabeth.
"The very same," said Sir Gwaine flipping a hand through his hair.
"Very well. I have a challenger for you. Sire Hermaphroditus," the Queen paused. "Did I say that right?"
"It sounded fine to me My Lady."
"Very well. Good luck my champion." the Queen said.
He glanced to Merlin in hopes the old man won't let him down for this in hopes. The last thing he wanted was to die in a duel to the death.
"Pass me a sword," he said with determination.
Chapter 14 duels
He held the sword in his hand firmly. He's never held a sword before it was heavy to the touch and almost caused him to tumble over, but as he looked he saw Merlin golden eyes light up and that's how Hermaphroditus knows his servant has magic and his servant magic was keeping him balance. Somehow and someway.
He glared at the servant and the servant looked anywhere but at him. Somewhat was off about the man that he didn't like, he was hiding something and something dark he was unsure of what but Hermaphroditus knew the man couldn't be trusted either way he held the sword in his hand.
"Are we ready?" Gwaine asked.
"I supposed. Then let us duel," said Hermaphroditus. He held out his sword.
Two swords clang.
They clashed and clang against one another and for a second Hermaphroditus was shock by his own skill.
Clashed and clang and sparks of metal few and adrenaline pumped through his body as he moved swiftly around Sir Gwaine.
Swords clashed.
Swords clang.
Swords clashed again and Sir Gwaine could keep up while Hermaphroditus was running out of breath. He knows the Queen does not want the stranger dead she wants him alive just to talk to him. He looked for a weak spot and after a few more moments of clashing and clanging he found it one in his ankle he moved his sword swiftly and slashed him down Sir Gwaine sore under his breath and tumbled to the ground. Hermaphroditus rolled him over to his back and pressed a foot on his chest firmly and pointed his sword. Arthur cheered.
"My Champion," said Queen Elizabeth with a smile. "Hermaphroditus is the winner. Thank goodness it wasn't a duel to the death because you Sir Gwaine needs to be interviewed. Send him to a healer and Hermaphroditus be a dear and take away his sword."
"Of course My Lady," the youngest Holmes bowed. He did what he was told and took Gwaine sword away who looked tempered to split in his face.
"Guards ensure Sire Gwaine is arrest." the Queen said.
The guards nodded their head and forced the knight onto his feet arm locking him and walking him off to either the healer chambers or the dungeon, Hermaphroditus didn't know he just knew the man was arrest.
Chapter 15 the unknown knight
Jane found herself in a very odd positions she had never woken up before being chained to a wall much less being frowned at by a Queen.
"Who are you?" the Queen asked.
"Jane Doe My Lady. And, you?"
"Queen Gwendolyn of the southern borders," said the young Queen.
Jane knew that name in seconds, but still that wasn't possible. Wait? Did she time travel? Maybe, maybe not she wasn't too sure if she did time travel either way she was stuck here chained to a wall and treated as if she was a slave. Not what she needed and not what she wanted, great she was stuck here.
"Do you know why I'm here My Lady?" Jane asked trying to remember the proper terms that the Merlin characters used to describe their Queens and Kings. Trying she was mostly nervously and fearful though the last thing she wanted was to be killed.
"You appeared here because of magic."
"Oh, is that not allowed?"
"No, it is not."
Well, she was doomed she thought to herself and fearing the day she will be behead because of Sherlock Holmes magic trick.
"However, before you are sentence to death there is something I need to know from you."
"And, that is?"
"Does the name Merlin ring a bell to you?" asked Queen Gwendolyn.
"Merlin? He does in a sense. Why do you ask My Lady?"
"We've been looking for him. In other words we're on a witch hunt."
"A witch hunt?"
Not good they were hunting Merlin down because of his magic.
"Yes, a witch hunt exactly."
"A witch hunt. Can you even chase a man who's not even in the Kingdom?" asked Jane.
"I don't see why not. I am Queen after all," said Gwendolyn.
"But if you enter another Kingdom without permission that's seen as warfare," said Jane sounding shock at the mere thought of Merlin death. Especially if he will die at the hands of his own friend from a past life.
"I do not mind war. My army will simply win, that is all," said Gwendolyn.
"I'm fairly sure the King and Queen of that Kingdom will just fight back," said Jane.
"Then it will be duels to the death just how I've sent my own knight into battle." said Gwendolyn shaking her head lightly. As if to say she really does not want to kill, but kill you despite it. Jane frowned sensing a big threat from her. She feared this woman, all that power at her finger tips and more along with no moral rights anything was possible with this woman especially her own death. She gulped down her fear trying her best to mask it.
"Duels to the death. So, if I were to plead for my life can I accept a duel for my freedom?"
"I supposed you can," said the Queen. "You will be challenge my knight however. Sire Lancelot."
She was starting to become very nervous at fighting Lancelot. She wasn't shock to find out that one of Merlin best friends from a past life was loyal to a Gwendolyn and loyal to a Gwendolyn only.
"I'll face him. I'll face him for my rights as a servant and my rights of freedom," Jane said proudly.
"Very well. Pass the foolish girl a sword," said Gwendolyn. "And, let her go their challenge to the death will happen in the courtyard."
"Yes, My Lady."
She let loose and found herself on the ground picking herself up she made a dash to the courtyard and tried her best to make a dash for the Kingdom door only to find herself being held firmly by Gwendolyn herself.
"Not now you foolish child. You wanted this duel to the death and there for you shall have it."
"Yes, My Lady," said Jane.
She was thrusted a sword and found it heavy then except.
Oh, no. She was doomed she was truly possible, really positive doom a girl in a sword fight a woman up against the most well known and most noble of the knights Lancelot himself and she was doomed to face him. Face a knight a civilian facing an actual knight. She wanted to faint, but refused to fall she stood strong trying to gain as much strength into her arms and legs as possible as she stood brave facing the knight who is set in armour.
She felt ready to faint she truly did, but she still kept on refusing to telling herself she will archive victories in this battle telling herself she will win. Telling herself she is the master of this duel she is the winner and nothing can stop her. Not the wind, not the rains and most importantly not her own high heels and much less a knight then she reminded this week was not a week for high heels she slightly cursed Sherlock for putting her in such a pair of shoes.
She held up her sword. It almost caused her to tumble.
Must fight, she told herself as she stumbled again.
"You wouldn't hit a woman. Would you?" she asked nicely.
"One foolish enough to pick up a sword then I shall," said Lancelot as he withdraw his sword.
This isn't nice at all, she thought to herself as Lancelot dashed towards her sword in hand she tried her best to block it, but almost dropped her weapon in the process. She picked it up again praying for a knight in shiny armour to rescue her.
He kept attacking her and she kept dropping her weapon ducking to pick up the sword was just enough to save her from each attack she couldn't believe it. Jane Doe needed help. She needed actual help.
She silently prayed for aid and moved out of the way from an incoming sword. She ducked, but dropped her sword instead it landed out of her reach she struggle to reach it. Failed to do so and she flinched when the sword came crashing down only to hear a clang as it met another sword.
A woman standing in red coat of arms appeared blocking the sword she fought of Lancelot and two battle it out. Clang, crashed and clang goes the sword Jane tried to get away from it, but something blocked behind her she glanced up and found the Queen staring at her. Jane dashed off and out the door as the woman in coat of arms slashed down Sire Lancelot leaving her to stare off into the distance.
Chapter 16 Question air
Sherlock pace the room trying to snapped his fingers rapidly to bring back a Jane Doe, but failed to do so.
"What are you doing?" asked Queen Elizabeth.
"Oh, you know. Trying music," Sherlock muttered as he cleared his throat. "Music yes that is it music."
"Oh, how lovely," said the Queen. "Uncle how is that rope doing him?"
"I don't think he would be able to free himself with it," said Merlin as he made sure Sire Gwaine won't free himself from the trap he's built.
"Oh good we can question him then." the Queen looked through her reading glasses and stared at the knight in question. "Are you awake?"
"Let me go. I have duties that matter." said Sire Gwaine.
"Yes, yes I know you do but the point of the matter is you're here and you're here at Camelot and Camelot only. Meaning what? You're surrounded with no way to run."
"I could kill myself and you'd never see me at a council welcoming."
"What if you're not need a council welcoming?" the Queen wondered.
"Damn."
"Damn a shallow pond," said the Queen bluntly. "Anywho moving on I demand answers. I want to know what a knight from another kingdom is doing in my own without permission to travel much less permission to enter not to mention you dare challenge I. A Queen to battle you? Do you have a death wish?"
Sire Gwaine refused to butt in a word he never spoke up the longer the Queen started.
"Well?"
"I really don't want to say much less mention it to you."
"Then you would have your head chopped off then. If you answered my question you would be sent off to freedom and we can forget this fuss ever happened," she huffed.
"Fine. I'm not here on behalf of a Queen or King."
"Let you dress as a knight?"
"I'm a used to be knight," Sire Gwaine splat.
"Used to be? Whatever do you mean? You look like a knight to me and sure you're very rude and not at all knight like behaviour, but still you seem very much a knight. And, you attack my castle and you think I'm silly enough to believe that silly made up lie."
"What do you know of past lives?"
Personally Sherlock thought they were ridiculous stories made up by mad man and woman to explain their own mind on their own delusional memories.
"Fantasy rubbish," said the Queen.
"Yet, be proven," said Merlin.
"Crazy memories seen as facts," said Sherlock.
"What's a past life?" asked Arthur looking terribly lost.
"In theory it's said to be your life before this one," said Sherlock.
"Huh," said a baffled Arthur. "So, you've died and came back. Neat."
"And, you're looking for a what?"
"My friend from a past life."
"If given a name I may be able to help you."
"Merlin." said Gwaine, Merlin collapsed.
Chapter 17 Immortal
"Uncle," said the Queen gasping in shock.
"Merlin," said Arthur while Sherlock tried to snapped his fingers. Expecting Jane to appeared at any moment, but nothing happened. "Merlin."
"Oh, my is he okay?" asked Queen Elizabeth.
Arthur made the first move bending on his knees he checked for a pulse. Merlin was still breathing and slowly coming to.
"Merlin," said a concerned Arthur.
"Meh," said an uncaring Sherlock as he tried to snapped Jane back into reality.
"What happened?" Merlin asked.
"You fainted like a girl after hearing Gwaine looking for you. Are you his damsel?" Arthur glared.
"Merlin." Gwaine asked.
"Oh, no how terrible. All this mess is not good for my uncle heart," Queen Elizabeth. "Ill shall fetch a healer don't move an inch."
She wander off into the distance and Merlin frowned. Sherlock wonder why Merlin was frowning at his own niece then it hit him because the names were too familiar. Merlin, Gwaine and of course Arthur? And, then it dawned on him. Camelot knights.
"Merlin. As in Merlin the great? From Camelot?" asked Sherlock. Even though Merlin was still Merlin the sloppiest to a Sherlock Holmes.
"Shhh, not so loud or else we'd have to make a run for it."
"A run for it. From what?"
"You're in a magic hating city we'd be burnt," said Merlin in fear. "This might be Camelot, but Camelot has hated magic over time especially if you mention the founding fathers."
"Wait, who are the founding fathers?" wonder Arthur.
"Camelot knights of the round table whom support magic. Anything to do with them have been burnt to a crisp. Like they don't exist mentioning their name is band which means what? I have to find a way to get you all out of here before she comes back."
Sire Gwaine found as if he wasn't effect by the threat, but Sherlock was nervous.
"She's your niece?" asked Sherlock.
"No, she's my kidnapped who's been working with Druid's for a while. But the Druid's are the only ones with access to parallel worlds spells."
"But you're from the legend?"
"Yeah, and they hate me because I kept killing them to protect my King," said Merlin.
"No, offence Merlin but shouldn't you be dead by now?" asked Arthur.
"That's the problem. I can't die not unless I find the key to death, but for the most part I'm immortal."
"But how is that possible…"
"This way, quickly now this way do come quickly," said Queen Elizabeth.
"Then I advise a magic trick?" whispered Sherlock. "With your friend?"
"What a disappearing act?" whispered Merlin deadly.
"Yes," Sherlock hissed back.
"Do ensure he's alright," said the Queen.
"Now," said Merlin and Sherlock together as they snapped their fingers taking Arthur and Gwaine with them.
Chapter 18 when two platoons collide
They found themselves in woodland, it was snowy and it was cold he could see his own breath. Not good, Sherlock grumbled and looked around wondering what to do he glared at the knight whom was still tied to a chair and then looked at Merlin wondering if his new company might have any idea on what to do.
"I don't think that got us very far away from the castle," muttered Merlin.
"It might've snow wasn't sighted near Camelot before," said Sherlock. "Anywho what do we do with this one."
Sire Gwaine glared.
"You had magic and you've never told us. And, who the heck are they?"
"I'm Arthur," he said proudly.
"Shut up Princess I wasn't talking to you," splat Gwaine. Arthur looked ready to cry. "Crap."
"Try to be nice. Look, how much do you remember about your past life?" wondered Merlin.
"I arrived at Camelot saved two slaves only to find out one of them was a Prince. We found ourselves in a bar fight and I got hurt because of it. The slave saved my life and took me to a healer while the Prince left me for dead."
"And, this was in your past life?" wondered Hermaphroditus.
"And, this was a past life. Yes."
"And, you remember it clearly?" asked Hermaphroditus.
"I do and I did I even remembered the time I was born in this life."
"How did you die?" asked Sherlock.
"I was stabbed in the battle field. Lady Morgana Lee Fay she was known to be one of Camelot toughest opponents. I didn't care about fighting for a Knight I was there fighting for my friend life and his freedom," said Gwaine.
Sherlock eyes narrowed and turned to Merlin. Merlin kept no secrets with them he told them right off the bat that he was Merlin the great. Which meant what? On the King final death bed his slave was given a rank and a title.
And, then it dawned on him.
"You're not a servant?" said Sherlock, this for some reason turned this Arthur to frown. As if he dared to say such a thing.
"No, I'm not. I used to be but not now. I've earned my name," Merlin muttered. "Now, come on let's get out of here before Camelot men find us."
"What about the knight?" asked Hermaphroditus. "Or, are you willing to betray the person who fought for your freedom?"
Merlin didn't answer right away and Sherlock glanced between the two not understanding the situation at hand. Gwaine tried to attack them at the dinner party and ruined their undercover, but then he heard it the sound of horses in the distances with barking hounds. Not a good sight.
"Who said I was leaving him?"
Merlin chanted under his breath and the ropes were loses in seconds.
"Come on."
"If I keep snapping my fingers something bound to happen," said Sherlock as the group started to run.
"Ensure their death," the Queen voice was heard.
"Come on," said Merlin.
The small group ran off. It didn't take long before hounds caught us vicious and stave the hounds ran after them likely pumped on whatever adrenaline the hounds had left. They took another turned once they heard the sound of a much bigger and much larger group of hounds a group that wasn't stave and running towards them. Sherlock was the only brave one enough to stop to see what the fuss was about and saw that the large group of hounds went to attack the little ones and bloodshed happened as the hounds ripped each other.
"Come on," said Arthur as he grabbed Sherlock hand and the pair darted off after the group. "What did you see?"
"Mycroft hounds. He must be here."
The horses took a turn and the group found themselves running faster Merlin muttered his most powerful spell he could think off and the spell sent a wave of heavy snow at the horses. They neighed throwing off their riders in the process and the group kept on running they ran and ran until they saw a clearing.
"There," order Hermaphroditus pointing at the clearing. "Come on we're almost there she might not be able to chase after us once we leave her Kingdom."
The horses kept on running soon after the men hopped back on them and chased after the group.
"We can't out run them," panic Sherlock.
The sound of a helicopter was heard in the background along with another group of horses the group turned to the left.
"Where did the helicopter come from? And, who owns one?" Arthur asked. "And, just how?"
"Mycroft," mumbled Sherlock.
"I thought tech and magic don't agree with each other," said Arthur.
"Try telling that to Mycroft." said Sherlock.
"Queen Elizabeth stop this warfare," ordered Mycroft Holmes.
"And, just who are you?" demanded the Queen.
"Mycroft Holmes the government of magic. Order it off or we will end you."
The group came to a stop and hid behind a large boulder. They stayed to watch the match.
"I shall never."
"Then you are a deceased of Lee Fay and because of that you will be slaughter. End of story. Battle formation men."
They lined up beside each other hands held out and the men started to chanted.
"Don't just stand there kill them while we can," ordered the Queen.
The men listened and ran up on horse back to the wizards who chanted and chanted their hands started to spark golden colour along with their eyes. They've moved to the left and stamped a foot forming a wall of rock in front of them they moved forward and the wall moved towards the men. Horses neigh, but pillars of spikes appeared on the side of the wall. The horses stopped neighing and the men let out a screamed of pain.
"Kill her," Mycroft ordered.
One wizard pulled out a long kunai and tossed it at the Queen she let out a furiously painful moan before that screamed turned into the silence and the Queen was dead.
"Where an earth is Jane?" demanded Sherlock.
"Either on this globe or in a parallel," muttered Hermaphroditus.
Another horse in the distance was heard Sherlock and the group quickly turned around and Mycroft Holmes was ready to kill the person who dared entered the field. A woman with dark clury blonde hair came dashing on through riding her horse she was wearing bright red cost of arms with a lion printed on it. Sherlock didn't recognise that symbol at all, but knew she was a knight.
Very rarely did you find out a woman was a knight, but the question remains for whom?
"Stop right there," Mycroft yelled.
"Mycroft Holmes. I'm Sire Morgause from the east Kingdom I'm here to inform you that Queen Gwendolyn has one of your civilians and is rushing in to start war," said the female knight.
"Prepare the gates," ordered Mycroft Holmes.
Chapter 19 the battle at the gates
There were multiple people standing at the small gates all of them wearing long green robes, most of them were often men in multiple ages from their teenaged to their elders. Their hands flowed golden light and snow hovered from the ground because of it the mansion to the Holmes doors were closed tightly shut. People from the east had rushed in to aid under Sire Morgause orders they didn't have magic so they had to make do with their swords as their leader marched back and fourth on her brown horse.
Mycroft Holmes helicopter was slowly hovering around, but Sherlock was a little worry that the magic around it might caused it to go haywire.
Then all was silence only the hummed of the helicopter was heard as a large group of horses galloped towards them with a woman standing in front of them being lead by a white horse. She wore dark purple and had a red crown on top of her head.
"Mycroft Holmes. Is it not?"
"Queen Gwendolyn daughter of a Lee Fay. What brings you marching towards this land?"
"I have your friend," the Queen simply said as Jane was pushed forward.
"Jane," yelled both Sherlock and Hermaphroditus as Jane was pushed towards the ground.
"Stop this magic at once," she said.
"Or what?" Mycroft ordered.
"You will perish," the Queen decided. "Just like your friend. Off with her head."
A gestured was made and a blade came tumbling down and Jane let out a scream and her head was chopped off. Almost as if she was frozen in time her mouth was left opened and her white skin gone pale as her head was left on the snow her blood leaving a stain.
"Jane," Sherlock cried his brother in shock and Mycroft narrowed his eyes.
"I've decided there is no such thing as magic meaning what? Magic is not allowed."
"You've started war," Mycroft muttered. "Permission to kill."
Wizards started to chanted and snowmen formed from the snow around them their eyebrows turned narrowed and their heads slowly twisted to face their attacks. They marched forward.
"Will, don't just stand there. Kill them," Queen Gwendolyn ordered.
Men draw out their swords and dashed towards the snowman, but the snow men took one deep breath and blew heavy snow towards them blowing some of the men off their horses. The horses neighed stood on their back legs causing their riders to fall and dashed off in the other direction.
Merlin chanted under his breath his eyes going golden and let out a furiously roar. Arthur was the first one to hear and gasped at the sight another roar in the distance was heard.
An eye appeared in the sky and then came down a large dragon with green and yellow scales p. Men on Mycroft side let out a scream, but didn't run while men on Gwendolyn side let out a scream and panic at the sight some of them running, but they were quickly burnt to death.
"Gwendolyn daughter of a black smith in the past," roared Merlin furiously. "You have sin."
The Queen went pale and shaken she dropped off her horse and scattered off the ground. She tried to stand, but failed to do so instead she just kneed in front of the furiously servant whom walked towards her slowly in a fit of rage and let remains clam.
"Merlin," she gasped lightly.
"Do you remember?" demanded Merlin.
"Merlin, oh it's so nice to see you in this life time."
Merlin wasn't in the mood for dealing with it. "I said do you remember."
"I remember. I remember we used to be friends."
"And, then you betray the knights of the round table and work with Lee Fay?"
"I might have."
"Might or you did?" demanded Merlin.
"Did, I did betrayed them in more ways than one."
"You blames mine control in your past life, but yet here you are a traitor to the system and a traitor to your friends of your current life. Because of this Gwendolyn you have lost your name and your title. You will never come back into being."
Merlin changed words nobody around him seemed to understand but the dragon above him who listened to every word and reaslse out a furious fireball which killed every person including horse on Gwen side. Leaving nothing but ash.
Chapter 20 Return to power
"If past lives exist then you know what that means Hermaphroditus?" Arthur said.
"What?" asked Hermaphroditus.
Arthur was more curious on what side Jane Doe will be though if and when she will come back. He hopes she will come back and if she does then he hopes she will be on their side. She seemed nice after all. She wasn't like Hinata.
"Will Gwaine came back for Merlin. Maybe Jane might come back for you," said Arthur as he stared at the tombstone. It was a tome stone for Jane who died in battle her head chopped off by one of the Aueen knight.
And, then it dawned on him memories started to occurred and popped into his mind.
He remembered Gwen she was his wife. He remembered Gwaine he was his knight, but most importantly he remembered Merlin.
"Merlin," Arthur said in shock. "He's meant to be King."
"Of what?" asked Hermaphroditus.
"Of Camelot, come on."
Arthur grabbed Hermaphroditus hand and made a dash for it to the mansion he ran on inside passed the floating objects and passed a sleeping Sherlock Holmes before arriving at the kitchen.
"Merlin."
Merlin almost dropped the flying pan in his hands the moment Arthur rushed through.
"Merlin."
"Arthur! What is it? What happened?"
"You're meant to be King. Not Queen Elizabeth, you are. I gave you the throne."
"Arthur you remember?"
"Of course I remember you. You weren't a slave Merlin you were my friend, you saved my life more than once. You're not like the others who were trashed and rude," splat Arthur as he glared at the floor. "That's why I want you to be King."
"Arthur you're the rightful heir to the throne if anyone should get the throne back then it should be you."
"But Merlin." he gasped. "Do you still have it. Have the coat of arms I gave you?"
"I do, but why?"
"You've got proof. Plus if you can find my sword then they know you're the rightful King."
"Arthur. A slave can't become King."
"You can with noble blood," said Arthur. "Merlin."
"Fine, fine I'll become King. Where's this sword?"
"I know follow me."
Arthur dashed out of the house with Merlin following behind him.
"What? What happened?" asked a barely awake Sherlock only to cough on air and stumble on his own feet as he dashed after the pair.
They ran past Mycroft who was drinking tea with Sire Gwaine only he ended up splitting up his tea by mistake as he saw his brother, Merlin and Arthur rush out the door the two glanced at each others.
"We need a horse," said Arthur.
"Then get a horse." said Merlin.
"Whatever for? I'm baffled by it all," muttered Sherlock.
"We're gonna to pull sword out of stone," said Merlin.
"Oh, how wonderful," mocked Sherlock thinking they've both lost the plot. "Whatever for."
"Merlin meant to be King of Camelot," said Arthur.
"He's meant to be King of the Druid's and yet doesn't lead them but runs away from them. Huff, however shall he lead a Kingdom especially one as big as Britain," huffed a Sherlock Holmes.
"He will find a way."
"Arthur you believe in Merlin far too much," scowled Sherlock.
"But Merlin…"
"Is Merlin the sloppiness," said Sherlock in a-matter-factly. "There for he's Merlin the sloppiness and not Merlin the Great nor Merlin the King."
Arthur glared at Sherlock Holmes and Sherlock glared back.
"Merlin the Great."
"Why? Because he's your favourite?"
"Yes, and you're not making you a slave. I'm still a King."
"In a past life. You died and came back losing your title and your rank and now you're starting over again meaning what?"
"I'm still King," Arthur said stamping his foot. "Me."
"And, yet you've given it away to a slave. A slave Arthur an actual slave."
"So, what I'll take the crown when I'm older but Merlin was meant to look after the throne."
"And, he didn't. He ran away from his commitment. And, you still expect him to be on his throne."
"Father wouldn't allowed a woman to take that position. Unless it was my Queen not my heir," Arthur said furiously.
"Times have changed and so has the laws. Beside you can't marched into a city and clam the throne for yourself and put your slave on top of it." Sherlock said madly.
"Yes, you can especially when I'm still Prince."
"Arthur Pendragon of the new and old. I think it's safe to say you weren't remember in a fond light Arthur. You were seen as one of the worst Kings in history. You put your Kingdom in grave danger at every turned. Trusted your mad sister advice acted more like a spoiled brat as you ran off with a slave. You didn't even marry the male one, but you married the female slave you kidnapped and made her yours. Only for her to go mad and burn down the Kingdom shortly after your death. In the history books you are not a rememberable King in a fond way," Sherlock scowled.
Arthur looked ready to burst into tears before he turned to Merlin.
"Merlin, he's being a bully," said Arthur pointing his finger at Sherlock.
Merlin reacted his eyes glowed yellow and he thrust out his hand and a burst of magic pushed Sherlock Holmes away. Causing the middle Holmes child to slam into the mansion wall.
"We need a horse," said Arthur.
"Looking for this one Princess," Sire Gwaine said as his horse tople towards them he lead another horse toward them one with brown fur while the one he rode had dark black fur, both horses neigh.
"And, where is Mycroft and Herrmaphroditus?" asked Merlin.
"Not dead. Just unconscious," said Sire Gwaine.
"Come on Arthur let's get you to the city."
"But Merlin…"
Merlin placed him on his saddle and smiled as he hopped over the horse Gwaine rode.
"Arthur you're here now. Which means?"
"I'll be King and you'll still be my friend?"
"Of course."
"But what about magic? I have it this time. I'm meant to study it and be at Magic High," said Arthur.
"Then I'll be your teacher," Merlin said proudly.
Arthur smiled and the two horses ran off and as they did so Sherlock Holmes stir in his sleep waking up to the sound of galloping horses.
"You're a traitor Merlin," Sherlock yelled furiously.
