Chapter 17: what do you say, girl, let's do something crazy?
A/N: Hello everyone, at the beginning of every year my church participates in a fast for twenty-one days. Therefore, I will not post the next chapter until January 31st! so enjoy this one and I will see you then!

Quil and Bella stood before the Chaplin. Big smiles on their faces.
"Now, before we get started you'll have at least one witness to this ceremony."
The couple turned to each other in distress. They hadn't thought they needed to bring anyone with them.
Quil opened his mouth to say that they didn't have one but a familiar voice spoke.
" I am their witness."
The couple turned to see the man from the desert.
"old man!" Quil greeted him. "what are you doing here?"
" I'm always around when you need me. Now, Let's get you two married."
….
Red eyes watch the small chapel from a distance, both occupants sitting on top of a building to observe the couple. about 30 minutes later the chapel doors are kicked open and a young man with tan skin and black hair runs out, a girl in his arms.
"LAS VEGAS! Quil Ateara is a married man!" he shouts.
The girl in his arms laughs as she holds a banquet of flowers.
Behind them walking slowly is an old man. The two onlookers let out a hiss.
"Who is that?" the woman asked her partner. Her body filled with a strange fear, that made her want to run.
" I don't know but I have a really strange feeling." The man told her.
As if he heard them, the old man turned in their direction a look of displeasure on his face. however, he quickly turned back to the newlyweds before him.
"how about a picture you two?" he questioned.
"yes sir! We appreciate you coming! How did you know?" Quil asked.
"you know by now, not to ask. Bella you ready sweetheart?" the old man asked.
"yes sir."
"alright on the count of one, two, three say cheese."
"cheese!" the couple cheered.
A couple of pictures later, the old man handed them the camera and an envelope with an undescribed amount of cash.
"I want you two to go have fun but not too much fun!"
And then he once again, disappeared.
"you know the disappearing act is getting old," Bella shouted into the sky.
Quil laughed as he spun her around again.
"come baby let's go check in to our hotel. We got some lovemaking to do!"
"Q!"

Siobhan and Toshiro followed the couple to a nice high-rise hotel.
They made sure to hide in the trees across from them.
" Siobhan, I don't want to watch this," Toshiro told her quietly.
"oh don't get your panties in a twist yougin. We won't invade their privacy. I think they will be fine for a while, especially with that old man around. He gave me the willies. I think we should report back."
"I think that will be good. Maybe we should check back on them in an hour." Toshiro suggested.
Siobhan laughed.
"I don't know from what I can hear they might need two."
If Toshiro could blush he would have.
"let's just get away from here."
They were a few hours away when Siobahn pulled out her phone.
"Hey, it's us. everything is good so far. No sign of Carslile or his people. What about you?"

"Everything is a chaotic mess over here. Edward's lost his mind completely. It takes Jasper and Emmett to restrain him throughout the day. Especially once he realizes, that Renee knows where Bella is. I am just so grateful her stepfather is out of the state and Renee was too ditzy to tell him exactly where she was going. All she told him was that she was going to see Bella." Edward arrived too late to follow." Eleazar told Siobhan over the phone.
"And what about Alice? Can she see anything?"Toshiro asked
"No. She hasn't seen a thing since a few days ago. Her future of Bella was always spotty but a few days ago her future of Bella went black. She can't see anything and she can't see Charlie either." Eleazar explained.
"Well, for now, you try to keep Edward as contained as possible and we will keep an eye on Bella and her new husband," Toshiro instructed.
"sounds good just keep me updated."
With that said Eleazar hung up the phone. A sigh escaped his lips as he rubbed his temples.
He was only doing a favor for a friend. At least that's what he kept telling himself.
But maybe the real reason he was keeping his cousins in the shadows was because he felt bad.
The human girl had suffered at his extended hands and they were not innocent.
It didn't make it any better than the Volturi would come poking their nose in at any time. of course, he had a secret weapon for that. All it would take was one phone call.
Eleazar had spies everywhere.

When Monday morning came around, as soon as they landed back in New Mexico, Quil blindfolded Bella and refused to allow her to take it off. At least until now.
They had spent two days locked in their hotel room sealing their bond that seemed to get even deeper. With Quil by her side, she truly felt at peace.
"alright Mrs Ateara, you can take off the blindfold!" he cheered.
Bella untied it and gasped. She standing In front of a huge log cabin. It had a huge wrap-around porch and was surrounded by trees.
"Quil! This place is beautiful!" she told him.
"Isn't it? come on, I want to show you the inside."
She held his hand as they toured the whole house, top to bottom.
"what do you think?" he asked her as he guided her to sit on the couch.
"It's wonderful."
"Good because…it's ours!" he told her.
Bella looked at Quil as if he were crazy.
"what..what do you mean it's ours?" she questioned.
"I mean it's ours, honey. The previous owner gifted it to us. we only have to pay a hundred dollars a month plus the utilities and were set. What do you think?"
"you got us a house?" Bella asked teary-eyed.
" yeah. I just wanted you to see that I could take care of you, honey. That I can provide for our family."
"Quil, I never doubted that you could take care of us. not once but…I appreciate this! And it's a decent amount away from our smothering families. I know they mean well but it's nice to have a break. When do we move in?"
"well we can move in anytime, but I was thinking maybe we can stay with our parents, at least until your eight months of pregnancy. And maybe we can stay here on weekends. I just don't like the thought of you at home alone quite yet. Can we agree on that?"
"of course, that's agreeable," Bella told him.
"well…we have a few more hours of free time in our new house. Whatcha wanna do?" Quil asked as he wiggled his eyebrows.
Bella laughed and said, " Oh Mr. Ateara, I think you know what I want to do.."
Quil's eyes flashed yellow.
"come on over here little girl."

"I don't get it! how did you allow our son to just disappear!?" Joy sneered at her ex-husband.
"Joy for the sixteenth time. Quil is a grown man. He can do what he wants. Now yes, he should have said something, but I believe he's fine. Now will you please get out of my face?"
Joy opened her mouth to say something but Ajana interrupted them.
"Hey! Hey! Enough of this! You two have been at each other throats for days. Both of you sit down and listen!"
Once the former couple sat Ajana continued.
" first of all, Junior texted me on Saturday and said he and Bella were going on a trip with a group of friends and wouldn't be back until Monday evening. you two have to learn to get along for Junior's sake! You both are going to be grandparents in a few-"
"Wait! What do you mean we're going to be grandparents!?" Joy shouted.
Ajana growled and looked at her husband.
"you didn't tell her! That's it! both of you get in the truck we are going to go see Chester and Monica!"

Charlie was having his morning cup of coffee as he checked his phone. Ajana told him that Bella, Quil, and a group of their friends had gone out of town and wouldn't be back until this afternoon.
Charlie wasn't happy though. It was irresponsible of his pregnant daughter to go gallivanting out of the city.
Not to mention Renee hovering over his shoulder asking multiple times where Bella was.
"What's going on mustache? Any coffee left?" Bridgette asked as she and their father walked in.
"fresh pot," Charlie said gruffly.
"what's up your butt?" Bridgette asked.
"leave your brother alone girl. He's just frustrated." His father told her as he pulled out the newspaper.
Three minutes later, the breakfast table was full with the household occupants.
"Charlie any word from Bella yet?" Renee asked again.
"for crying out loud Renee, no. She'll be home this afternoon!"
"but she just disappeared! She can't just disappear on us." Renee complained.
"she's right Charlie, with Bella's condition-"Monica began but Renee cut her off.
"Wait, what about Bella's condition? What's wrong with her?"
At the same time, Joy, ajana, and Quil Senior came through the front door.
"Charlie swan! When were you going to tell me what that skank of a daughter of yours did!" Joy yelled.
Charlie saw red and then things just got worse from there.
Standing in the back door, watching it all was Quil, Bella by his side.
His eyes were bright yellow and a growl shook the room.
