One minute Carol was with her friends in Happily Ever Aftervile since it seemed that while the portal wouldn't let her go back to earth, it would allow the 12 year-old to travel to other cyber sites which is why Carol was helping to stop Wicked from becoming queen of the fairy-tale site when suddenly Hacker came, and kidnapped Carol who still remained calm about the situation in order to find out what the cyborg wanted from her.
"So, your the new earth brat that Motherboard brought in to help, eh?" Hacker asked as he paced in front of Carol, Buzz and Delete were standing on either side of her. "Something like that." Carol replied to him, she hadn't actually lied, but she didn't tell him the whole truth either lest he use that against her friends. "She doesn't seem scared, boss." Buzz told Hacker, the green skinned cyborg looked back at Carol's calm demeanor.
Hacker didn't like to admit it, but Buzz was right that Carol wasn't afraid of him as he wondered if Motherboard or the others had warned her about him. "Am I supposed to be?" Carol asked with a tilt of her head, she was really asking that even though her friends had told her everything about Hacker, and how he wanted to rule over cyberspace only for his plans to fail. "You should be." Delete responded as he looked at the slightly taller earth girl.
"What do you even want with me?" Carol asked Hacker, he'd captured her for a reason, and she wanted to know. "You're going to help me take over cyberspace." Hacker answered her with a smirk, Carol, Buzz and Delete all looked at each other in confusion since Hacker had to have realized that Carol wouldn't help him. "How you gonna make me?" Carol asked with an annoyed sigh, she needed answers as to how he planned to use her for his newest plan.
"I'll make that singing voice of your's into a hypnotic voice like a siren, which in turn will control everyone in cyberspace to do my bidding!" Hacker said with an evil laugh, Carol gave him a deadpanned look before she realized that she could use his ego to cause a distraction until her friends arrived to help free her. "You have issues, you know that?" Carol replied with a shake of her head, that got Hacker's attention as he sneered at her in anger.
"Issues? What would you know about issues?" Hacker asked as Buzz and Delete backed away slowly from their boss. "Plenty. I also know how to help work past my issues." Carol retorted with sass, hearing this made Hacker give her an intrigued look on his face as he calmed down. "Just how do you work past them?" Hacker asked in genuine curiosity, Carol told Hacker about how she would sing in order to gather her thoughts before doing something she'd regret later on.
"Does that really work?" Buzz asked in wonder, Carol nodded 'yes' to him as Hacker got a thoughtful look on his face. "I also know the perfect song for Hacker, since it seems like he wants respect." Carol responded to Buzz, what Carol just said really got Hacker's attention now as she was correct about what Hacker wanted. "I do want some respect, but what is the song your talking about?" Hacker asked Carol, she showed him the song from the school play that the king sings as it talks about wanting respect and attention, so that's when Hacker decided to try Carol's idea as he took the script from her while she started up the music for Hacker.

Hacker panted after he belted out the last part of the song before looking at Carol, Buzz and Delete whose jaws had dropped at the sheer, raw talent that Hacker had just displayed. "What?" Hacker asked them in confusion, the three of them shook their heads before clapping their hands at Hacker as he took a bow, and took in the praise that he was getting. "That's what I'm talking about!" Carol said with a smile on her face, she could tell that Hacker had a lot of untapped potential in the acting department, he just needed a little push to not only open up as to how he felt, but to get out all that anger that he'd bottled up which is why Carol used the same method that she uses a lot on herself or others that need it.
"Feeling better now?" Carol asked with a smirk, Hacker got his breath back as he realized what the earth girl had just gotten him to do. "As a matter of fact, I do feel better." Hacker answered sheepishly, satisfied with his answer, Carol smiled as Buzz and Delete were still praising their boss about his performance while Hacker thought about what Carol did to make him share his true feelings where as Motherboard and Dr. Marbles never did try to do the same with him, they'd just left him alone.
But, Carol didn't leave him alone, she did the exact opposite as she helped Hacker feel better which made him feel happy that someone had gotten him to open up about just wanting some attention as well as respect, who knew that music could have that kind of power...oh, wait, Carol knew that, and that's why she chose to use that song as well as her method since it'd helped Hacker get a new perspective on his own evil actions, and plans to rule over cyberspace as he wondered if it was really worth it.
"I've decided to release you." Hacker said as he opened a portal back to Happily Ever Aftervile, Carol nodded in thanks before stepping through the portal. "Why'd you let her go, boss?" Buzz and Delete asked in wonder, Hacker looked thoughtful for a moment before answering his lackeys. "I have much to think about and I don't need the earth brats or that cyber turkey getting in my way." Hacker answered them, Buzz and Delete then chose to let their boss have his alone time, since he always did his best thinking by himself, and Hacker went back to what Carol did to help him open up as he wondered how she was going to change cyberspace while here.
