Hey everyone, I'm so sorry for the wait, things have been complicated and writing has been kinda slow. Also to answer a guest review, it'll be 2 chapters before they get their new Pokemon. Now let's start Chapter 5.
Chapter 5
The Mysticon Kid With Mega Friends
Mysticons Base
In the Base, Daiki, Mika, Arkayna, Zarya, Emerald, and their Pokemon were in the lobby, eating a bowl of something. "Why are we up this early again?" Emerald asked everyone, still half asleep. "Training." Arkayana said, before yawning. "I'm so tired I can barely taste my cereal." Arkayana said to everyone, as she played with her food.
"Is that what we're eating?" Zarya asked Arkayna. "Yeah, this isn't cereal, it's slop." Mika said to everyone. "Well it's not like we have food in our sleeves." Daiki said Mika. "I really need to go grocery shopping later today." Mika said to everyone.
"Good Morning!" Pipe said, with a very lively voice, as she and Blaziken came in doing cartwheels. "Wake up and smell the Dragon Lotuses!" Piper said to everyone, as she pulled out a flower that let out a burst of pollen, with most of the pollen landing on Mika.
"Morning Piper." Mika said to Piper, as she shook off the pollen, as Piper sniffed the floor. "Ooh, there's so much going on in Drake City today! Two words: Mermaid. Dance party! Well, heh, three. Actually, ten. Pixie parade, New Jesta Block Party, Marlin and the Trolls concert. Wait, how many was that?" Piper asked everyone.
"Counting everything you said, that was 36 words." Drake said to Piper. "Not sure. And was that Elvish?" Emerald asked everyone. "Nope. you're just too asleep to understand." Mika said to Emerald.
"But that was 100% Piperish." Zayra said to Emerald. "Come on, Griffy-poos! Today's going to be fabtacular!" Piper said to everyone. "That's not a word." Daiki said to Piper. "It is to Piper." Mika said to Daiki.
That's when the Dragon Disc let out a bright light blue and pink light, getting everyone's attention. "Ooh! Now that's fabtacular!" Piper said to everyone, as they walked to the Dragon Disk, only for Choko to fall asleep again.
"Here we go. The Dragon Disk is active." Arkayna said to everyone, as she took the Dragon Disk. This made a riddle appear before them. "Herewith follows, the riddle of doom. Fail to answer, and-." Zarya said. "You'll find your tomb." Arkayna said, finishing Zarya sentence.
"Find your tomb? What does that mean?" Emerald asked everyone. "That this is going to be bad." Daiki said to Emerald, knowing what it meant. "What do you mean?" Emerald asked Daiki.
That's when everyone disappeared in a flash of light blue and pink light, leaving their subsided Pokemon behind.
Drake City, Skies
The Mysticons reappeared in the sky. "Okay, I get it." Emerald said to Daiki, as they started to free fall to the ground, making them scream. "Okay I'm wide awake now!" Emerald said to everyone. "Where's Charizard when I need him the most?" Mika asked everyone, as the Dragon Disc glowed and words appeared.
"Good. Now, let's solve this riddle. Before we become street pancakes!" Arkayna said to everyone. "Wildmill giants, immortal knights, there's no limit when I take flight." Zarya said to everyone.
"Ooh, "Take fight". Good idea." Piper said, as she flew away from the group. "Piper, try to take this seriously." Zarya said to Piper.
"Is it a bird, a blimp, a dragon?" Arkayna asked everyone. "I don't think it's something that can actually fly if windmills and knights are a part of it." Daiki said to Arkayna, as Piper flew past them, squealing with joy.
"Flying is awesome!" Piper said to everyone. "Is it a squid? No, wait- a llama. A dog? A turtleneck? I'm not good at riddles!" Emerald said to everyone. "Wild guesses aren't helping." Mika said Emerald. "What do you mean? You just use your imagination." Piper said to Emerald and Mika, as she flew past them.
"Wait, that's it! There's not limits when I take flight. Imagination!" Emerald said, as the ground was only a few feet away. This caused everyone but Piper to scream. Lucky the Dragon Disk glowed light blue and pink and let out a light blue and pink light, teleporting everyone away before they hit the ground.
Mysticons Base
In the Base, Doug was following Malvaron, with their Pokemon following him, and Malvaron being dragged to the lobby by everyone's Pokemon. "All I'm saying is it's really hard to find a decent pair of sunglasses. That's discrimination." Doug said Malvaron. "Doug, I told you now's not the time for this. The Pokemon are acting strange." Malvaron said to Doug.
That's when the Mysticons came falling from the ceiling and onto the guys. "And I think I know why." Malvaron, with a flat look on his face, and some pain in his voice. That's when the Dragon Disc appeared back in its spot on the wall.
"That was Awesome! Again-again-again-again!" Piper said to everyone, as she got up, and the Pokemon helped their partners up. "What the dragon patties do you think you were doing up there?" Arkayna asked Piper, making Piper laugh a little.
"I was having fun." Piper said to Arkayna. "When you should have been focused. You're a hero now. Act like one." Zarya said to Piper. "Hmph." Piper said before pouting. "Come on girls, don't be so hard on her. While she may not act like you do, she does help. And let's not forget, while Emerald answered the riddle, it was Piper who helped Emerald figure it out." Mika said to Zarya, putting hand on Piper's shoulder, making Piper smile a little.
"I hate to bother everyone. But can someone explain why the Dragon Disk is trying to kill us?" Emerald asked everyone. "It was just testing you." Malvaron said to everyone. "In a kill-y kinda way." Zarya said to Malvaron. "Hey, you survived." Malvaron said to Zarya.
That's when the Dragon Disc let out a light blue and pink light, making Light blue words and a 3D pink temple map appear in front of them. "And look. Now you get a map and riddle leading you to the next piece of the Codex." Malvaron said to everyone.
"Wonderful. Another riddle." Emerald said to everyone, as they looked at the map and words. "And by what just happened, I guess imagination will be the key to finding this one." Daiki said to everyone.
"A place of peace, a reverential room. I stand alone in fiery bloom?" Zarya said, reading the riddle. "This is what Magi Mall looked like a thousand years ago." Arkayna said to everyone.
"Oh, Ooh! Oh, if you're going to the mall, could you pick me up a Twinkly Mare, special edition? She was just released today!" Doug asked everyone, with the last part being in an exciting whisper.
"What's a Twinkly Mare?" Emerald asked Doug. That's when Malvaron used his magic to play a kids pony doll commercial for everyone. This caused everyone to look at Doug with a confused look. "What? It's for Dedenne." Doug said to everyone. Everyone looked at Dedenne, and noticed her shaking her head, no. This made Piper giggle.
"Sure sure!" Piper said to Doug. "We can do all the fun mall stuff. Drink slush gulpies, ride the carousel." Piper said to everyone. "Hey, remember when we used to sneak in at night?" Piper Asked Mika and Zarya.
"I remember, but I also remember us always having to make a quick exit then the guards noticed Charizard's tail flame. But this time we can ride the Carousel when it's all over." Mika said to Piper.
"Piper, Mika, we don't have time for that." Zarya said to Piper and Mika, making them frown and cross their arms. "And sorry, Doug. we won't be able to pick up your sparkly horse." Zarya said to Doug. "It's a Twinkly Mare." Doug said to Zarya, before getting lost in thought. That's when Daiki snapped his fingers, snapping Doug back to reality. "For Dedenne.
But everyone just gave Doug a flat look. "Fine! I'll pick it up myself." Doug said to everyone. "Okay, it's magic hour." Arkayna said to everyone. "Please don't say that." Daiki said to Arkayna.
"Whatever, let's get to the mall and find that Codex piece." Arkayna said to the Mysticons, as they returned their Pokemon to their Pokeballs, transformed into their Mysticon forms, and moved to the griffins, with Mika grabbing the sleeping Choko.
But once they were gone, Doug made Malvaron play the commercial again, much to Malvaron's annoyance.
Drake City, Magi Mall
In the city was a large open air mall that had two levels, a lot of stores and plans where inside it, it even had a very decorative Carousel in the back. The only problem with it was it was surrounded by a large wall and had only one gate exit.
Outside the main gate was an old large goblin wearing a security guard outfit sitting on a stool, and with him was a sleeping Onix. And next to them was a black tent
"One last shift until retirement. 50 years I've guarded this mall and not a single battle. But in a few more hours, I'll be livin' the dream!" the goblin said to the Onix, as he fed some foz that were around him.
That's when he heard rumbling. "Huh?" the goblin asked, as he and Onix turned their heads to see a smoke cloud rolling in. That's when a laughing Kymraw and her orc trolls came rolling in. the goblin and Onix gasp at the sight of Kymraw and her forces.
Kymraw then walked up to the goblin, breaking heavily. "I'm sorry, Ma'am, but the mall doesn't open for another hour." The goblin nervously said to Kymraw. "Kymraw makes own hours. Kymraw here for Twinkly Mare!" Kymraw said to the goblin.
"Twinkly who?"The goblin asked Kymraw, stammering. Kymraw then played the same commercial Malvaron showed everyone, with Kymraw singing the song on the commercial.
"Will you be quiet!" A female voice said coming from the tent. That's when El exited the tent, a bad case of bed head on her head, making her hair look like she had red zig zags in it. She was wearing a three piece black and red pajama set, with baggy black pants, a red sleeveless stop, and a cloth black jacket on her, with no buttons, zippers, or pockets on it, her black leather band was still on her left wrist, and on her right wrist was a red gauntlet that looked like a black Sloth wrapped around her arms.
And in her arms, she was holding a 3 foot tall gray color thing with a aroundish body, a very thin neck, two long arms with three claws on each arm, small legs, a yellow tail with spikes on the end, and its head had three spikes on it with a long ponytail looking thing, red eyes and a mouth zipped by a yellow zipper. On the base of its ponytail was a ribbon with a crystal with a yellow and dark gray core in the middle of a light gray crystal. And El was crossing her arms around its neck.
"Oh, it's just you Kymraw." El said to Kyrmaw. "What do you mean just Kymraw?" Kynraw asked El, feeling insulted. "Exactly what I said. It's just you. What do you want?" El asked Kymraw.
"Kymraw here for Twinkly Mare." Kymraw said to El. "Oh, well, so am I. so get in line behind me and wait for the mall to open." El said to Kymraw. "Kymraw will not wait. Kymraw will get Twinkly Mare now! You no stop Kymraw!" Kymraw said to El, pocking El in the face. And that was a mistake.
A few minutes later the Mysticons flew in, and when they arrived, they found piles of wretched hoverbikes, burned and knocked out Orc Trolls and Varooms, and Revavroom at a angle and a few feet in the street, with Revavroom face first into the street.
"What happened here?" Zarya asked everyone, as they landed. "I'm telling you Barnabas, this tastes better than it looks." A female voice said, making everyone turn to see El, still wearing her pajamas and her messy still a mess, the goblin, and their Pokemon sitting around a fire that was coming off a burning hoverbike, with El holding a pan over the fire with a pancake that had red in it that looked like it had blood veins in the pancake, and next to her was the creature she was holding, with the creature holding a stack of the pancakes El was making.
"But this doesn't seem safe." the goblin said to El. "It's fine Barnabas, it already exploded so we don't need to worry." El said to the goblin.
"EL!" Arkayna yelled, with an angry tune in her voice, getting El and Barnabas's attention. "Oh, hey Mysticons. Did you come to join us for breakfast? I got plenty of pancakes." El said to everyone, as she put the pan down and took the plates from her creature and held it to everyone.
"Don't mind if I do." Piper said, as she tried to take a pancake, but was stopped by Arkayna. "Don't eat those. You don't know what crazy thing she put into those pancakes." Arkayna said to Piper. "Yeah, try thinking before you take strange food from crazy people." Zarya said to Piper.
"Strange food. It's strawberry flavored. But if you don't want any then more for me." El said to Arkayna, as she started to eat the pancakes. "I guess this is your mess?" Emerald asked El. "Hey, Kymraw was the one picking a fight with me. I told her to wait like I was, but she wanted to show us who's boss. So I had to show her that I was the boss." El said to Emerald
"Where is Kymraw? I don't see her?" Mika asked El. El said nothing and pointed up, making everyone see Kymraw covered in burns and was in the wall above them, with a lot of cracks around Kymraw.
"How did she get up there?" Emerald asked everyone. "You can thank my Banette for that. She's so strong." El said to Emerald, as she pulled her creature in for a hug. "So that thing is yours?" Zarya asked El.
"Zarya, be nice. That's a Banette, the Marionette Pokemon, A Ghost Type. Strong feeling of hatred turned a puppet into a Pokemon. If it opens its mouth, its cursed energy escapes. So be nice or else things will be nasty." Daiki said to Zarya.
"Nasty. My Banette is such a sweetie pie. I've had her for most of my life and I can't sleep without her." El said to everyone. "You sleep with a doll. Isn't that childish, even for someone as crazy as you?" Zarya asked El.
"What's childish about keeping your favorite doll when you're older. It just means you have a special bond with her. Besides, it's not like me having a doll at my age is hurting anyone." El said to Zarya. "Kymraw would disagree with you on that." Mika said to El, as Kymraw fell out of the wall and onto the street next to them.
"Ooh! Kymraw's KO'd!" Piper said to everyone. "We're gonna find the Codex, yes indeedy-dee." Piper said, with a singing tune in her voice. "Hey, what if Kymraw heard that?" Zarya asked Piper.
"Sorry. I was just excited and my mouth did that blurty thing it does and maybe she didn't hear?" Piper said to everyone. "Let's hope not." Arkayna said to Piper, as they moved to the gate.
But Kymraw did hear about the Codex piece, and used a thing in her ear to call Dreadbane. "Kymraw." Dreadbane said, answering the call. "Kymraw have info about codex. You want make deal?" Kymraw asked Dreadbane.
"Mysticons, it's an honour!" Barnabas said, as he opened the gate for everyone, letting them all in before closing it. "The name is Barnabas Dingleknot, and this is my partner Onix. What brings you to Magi Mall?" Barnabas asked everyone.
"We are here on an official Mysticon quest, noble goblin." Emerald said to Barnabas. "You're gonna do the "knight" voice?" Zarya asked Emerald. "Yeah, I am. I like the knight voice." Emerald said to Zarya, getting in Zarya's face.
"A quest. And here I am in my pajamas. If only I had time to change." El said to everyone. "You're not coming. In fact I want you to get lost." Arkayna said to El. "Oh come on Dragon Mage you know you can't make me do anything I don't want to do." El said to Arkayna, with a smirk on her face, making Arkayna grow a little.
"Mysticon Knight, can you take care of the griffins?" Arkayna asked Emerald. "You got it." Emerald said to Arkayna. "To the stables, brave steeds!" Emerald said to the griffins. "We don't have stables." Barnabas said to Emerald. "To the bike rack, brave steeds!" Emerald said to the griffins, leading them away from everyone.
Then everyone walked to a 3D map of the mall. "Okay, let's check out the mall directory. If I line up the old map with this one, it might help us solve the riddle." Arkayna said to everyone, as she placed the 3D map of the old temple over the mall's map.
"A place of peace, a reverential room. I stand alone within fiery bloom. It could be in the old blacksmith's shop?" Zarya said to everyone. "Ooh, I hope so! The blacksmith is now a pet store. Let's go there! Or maybe Tiffanon's Jewellery? Oh, their stuff is so sparkly!" Piper said to everyone, before giggling.
"The carousel! Where the old temple used to be. Let's go there!" Piper said to everyone, as Mika and Daiki started to think, and El smiled at Piper. "For the last time, Piper, we're looking for a Codex piece. We're not here to have fun!" Zarya said to Piper, as an idea popped into Mika and Daiki's head.
"What's wrong with having a little fun? We're kids." Piper said to Zarya. "We're heroes, and the stupid carousel can wait. Focus for once." Zarya said to Piper, getting tired of Piper's behavior.
"I- am- focus!" Piper said, as she screamed in rage, before tossing her ring, making it bounce all over the place, before catching it.
"You guys stink." Piper said to everyone, as she started to walk away. "She's right ever since we became Mysticons, you've been acting like a jerk. If you need us we'll be at the carousel." Mika said to Everyone, as she went after Piper. "And while you all wander around like fools, we'll get the Codex piece." Daiki said to everyone, as he went after Piper and Mika.
"Hey! Come back here." Zarya said to everyone. "I shall get them!" Emerald said to Arkayna and Zarya, as she rushed after everyone. "First Kymraw, then Piper tantrum, finally Mika and Daiki being difficult. Can this quest get any worse?" Zarya asked everyone.
"Of course it can. Watch as I prove it." El said to Zarya, as she flicked her right wrist. This caused the sloth on her wrist to go flying off, with a thin cable keeping it connected to El's writ. The sloth then landed on the lever to the main gate, and wrapped its legs around the lever. Then El jerked her arm down, causing a wave to travel through the cable, this caused the sloth to move down, opening the main gate, and letting undead warriors walk into the mall.
"See. it got worse." El said to everyone, with a goofy look on her face, while earning a mean look from Arkayna and Zarya, as she retracted her sloth back to her arm, and as the undead warrior walked into the mall.
"We're totally outnumbered." Arkayna said to everyone. "Yep, looks like we'll die." El said to Arkayna, with a voice that was so positive that creeped Arkayna out. "Okay, people. No need to panic." Arkayna said to everyone. "Ha! Barnabus Digleknot and Onix laughs in the face of fear!" Barnabus said to Arkayna.
That's when Dreadbane, Tazma, and Sneasler walked up out of the undead warriors. "Burn this mall to the ground, and bring me their bones!" Dreadbane said to his forces, making them charge.
"Eeek! I wanted my retirement!" Barnabus said, as he and Onix ran away in fear. "Well so much for Barnabus. Good luck." El said to everyone, as she sat criss crossed on the floor. "You're not going to help?" Zarya asked El. "Nah, I think I'll just enjoy the show." El said, as she pulled out a bowl full of popcorn.
"Where did you pull that form?" Zarya asked El. "Like I tell you. Now start fighting and make it a good show." El said to Zarya, earning a mean look from Arkayna and Zarya again. "We'll deal with you later. Quaquaval come out." Arkayna said to El, before letting out Quaquaval. "You too Cinderace." Zarya said, as she let out Cinderace.
"Cinderace, give these fools some fire balls with a couple Pyro Ball." Zarya said to Cinderace, as she tossed out a couple pebbles, before shooting magic arrows at the undead warriors.
"Cinderace." Cinderace said, as he started to kick the pebbles, soon juggling two large fireballs with his feet. Then Cinderace kicked the fireballs at two different groups of undead warriors, causing big explosions.
"Quaquaval use Aqua Cutter." Arkayna said to Quaquaval, as she fired fireballs at the undead warriors. "Quaquaval." Quaquaval said, as she started to kick water blades at the undead warriors. The two attacks blew up and slashed through the undead warriors with ease. But Dreadbane was strong enough to use his sword to block their attacks.
While blocking attacks from Arkayna and Quaquaval, Kymraw walked up to Dreadbane. "You! Boneface! Me lead you to Mysticons. Kymraw wants her reward!" Kymraw said to Dreadbane. "So be it." Dreadbane said to Kymraw, as he pulled out a Twinkly Mare, making Kymraw gasp.
"Oh!" Kymraw said, her eyes widened. Kymraw then took the pony. "Twinky Mare!" Kymraw said, before she walked away. That's when Zarya hit Dreadbane in the but, knocking Dreadbane to his knees. Dreadbane then got up and swung his sword at Zarya, firing tan magic blades at her and Cinderace. But Zarya and Cinderace did a backflip and dodged Dreadbane's attack.
"Cinderace use Pyro Ball." Zarya said to Cinderace, as they landed on the ground, and Zarya gave Cinderace a pebble. "Cinderace." Cinderace said, as he started to kick the pebble turning it into a fireball. Then Cinderace kicked the fireball at Dreadbane, at the same time Zayra fired an arrow at Dreadbane. But Dreabande cut their attacks in half, stopping them
And even with all they did, more undead warriors showed up. "We need to get out of here. This place is crawling with baddies." Arkayna said to everyone. "But things are just getting good." El said to Arkayna, as what remained of an undead warrior crawled up and grabbed Arkayna's legs.
But that's when Choko came up, riding a vacuum, and sucked up the undead warrior. "You clean up good, Choko." Arkayna said to Choke. But that's when a tan magic blade went flying past her face, making Arkayna gasp.
"Fear my wrath." Dreadbane said to everyone. "We want them alive, my liege. But not that one, the one that isn't fighting. She must die for using me." Tazma said to Dreadbane, as she gave El a mean look.
"I met a lot of people and they say the same thing to me, but guess what, all of them fail." El said to Tazma, before sticking her tongue out at Tazma. "Then I'll be the first to succeed where others have failed." Tazma said to El, as she made everyone's shadow came out of the ground and formed tentacles.
"Ah, tentacles. Cute. But not anything to worry about." El said to Tazma, before snapping her fingers, making the tentacles explode into black smoke. Then El raised her right fist at Dreadbane, Tazma, Sneasler, and their forces, before opening her right fist, making the black smoke move around them, blinding them.
"Run!" Arkayna said to everyone, as everyone, minus El and Banette, started to run.. "You girls are the only ones running… I can flyyyy!" El said to everyone, as she picked up Banette, still having her legs criss crossed, and floated a few feet, before following everyone.
That's when the black smoke faded and Dreadbane noticed everyone leaving. "There! Don't let them escape!" Dreadbane said to the undead warriors. "Don't worry. They won't." Tazma said to Dreadbane, as she summoned a shadow that teleported herself and Sneasler.
Meanwhile, Piper, Daiki, and Mika, plus their Pokemon, were walking through the place, all drinking a milkshake. "They always treat me like a little kid. But I'm not! I can be serious." Piper said to everyone, before taking a big slurp, earning a brain freeze.
"Brain- frozen. Ahh! Too much Icy- ah- goodness." Piper said, as she almost fell backward holding hand to her head. Piper then giggled before shaking off the brain freeze. "Chill-tastic!" Piper said to everyone, giggling a little.
"Ah. What was I saying?" Piper asked everyone. "About how Zarya doesn't think you're being serious. Which I don't get, we've been friends for a while. She should know that while you may act silly every now and then, you do take things seriously." Mika said to Piper.
"Guy, wait up." Emerald said, as she finally reached them, with Incineroar. "We need to get back to the others. What if Kymraw comes back?" Emerald asked them. "Apparently I'm not "focused" enough for them. So they'll just have to deal. I'm going to the carousel." Piper said to Emerald, before leaving with Blaziken.
"Yeah, if they want to be serious and waste time, then they can handle Kymraw alone." Daiki said to Emerald, before leaving with Venuasur. "Plus they have El. Sure she's a pain, but if they can't handle it, I'm sure El could." Mika said to Emerald, before leaving with Charizard. "Oh, by the Hammer of Harmon! Guys! Guys!" Emerald said, as she went after them with Incineroar following her.
Back with Arkayna, Zarya, Quaquaval, and Cinderace, they were running from the undead warriors, with El flying behind them. "You do realize the undead can run forever." Zarya said to everyone.
"If only you guys weren't so serious then you could get away. But ah well, looks like they're going to get you." El said to everyone, as Arkayna noticed some escalators."Quick! Up there!" Arkayna said to everyone, as she led them all up the escalators.
Arkayna then made a portal appear on the top and bottom of the escalators trapping them in an infant loop. "That should hold them for a while." Arkayna said to everyone. "A loop portal, not a bad idea. You finally manage to clear the lowest level of imagination." El said to Arkayna, with a mocking tune in her voice. "Shut up." Akrayna said to El, before they all started to move.
Outside Doug and Dedenne were walking to the mall, with Doug singing the song from the commercial. But stopped once he reached the main gate and saw the destruction around it.
"Mall's open early today. Ah, well. Twinkly mare, here I come!" Doug said, as he went in, ignoring the obvious. This made Dedenne place a hand on her face. But then Doug gasped, and that caused Dedenne to look and see Doug looking at a chard Twinkly Mare. "Oh! A twinkly Mare!" Doug said, as he picked it up and started to cry.
"Who did this to you? Monsters!" Doug said, getting on his knees, raising his hands, and screaming to the sky. Meanwhile Dedenne just gave him a "really look".
Back with Arkayna, Zarya, El, and their Pokemon, where running through the mall trying to figure out the riddle and find the others, well with El still flying and holding Banette. "A place of peace, a reverential room, I stand alone in fiery bloom." Araykana said to everyone, trying to figure out the riddle, as Zarya tried calling the others.
"Piper, Mika, and Daiki aren't answering. They're probably gooding off at the carousel." Zarya said to Arkayna, a thought popped into Arkayna's head. "The carousel! What did that used to be?" Arkayna asked everyone.
"The old temple, I think?" Zarya said to Arkayna. "That's it! A reverential room! The Codex piece is at the carousel!" Arkayna said to everyone. "You're just figuring that out? Man, you two are so serious you can't think, can you?" El asked Arkayna and Zarya, as she flew to be in front of them and flipped herself so that everything was upside down to her.
"Wait, you knew the Codex piece was at the carousel this whole time?" Zarya asked El. "Of course. Was it not obvious? You girls really need to work on your imagination. I mean what other place than the carousel, that used to be a temple, would be a place of peace, a reverential room?" El asked Arkayna.
That's when Tazma and Sneasler appeared out of the shadows. "Excellent work Mysticons." Tazma said to everyone, as she cast a dark spell, tying up Arkayna, Zarya, their Pokemon, and Choko in the shadows. But missing El and Banette.
"El get us out of this." Arkayna said to El. "Nah." El said to Arkayna, before disappearing in the shadows with Banette. "I hate her." Arkayna said to everyone, as Tazma laughed evilly.
Back with Emerald, she and Incineroar found Piper, Daiki, Mika and their Pokemon looking around the carousel. "Guy, wait up! Seriously!" Emerald said to them, as she and Incineroar ran up to them.
That's when Emerald got a good look at the carousel. "Wow, I can see why you all wanna come here. But you know, there's a time for fun, and-." Emerald said to everyone, but stopped talking when Daiki grabbed Emeralds face, and made her look at a plaque that said this place was a temple and a place of peace and a reverential room.
"You're not having fun at all! You all knew the Codex piece was here all along." Emerald said to everyone. "Ding, ding, ding! Now, can you please help me find it?" Piper asked Emerald. "Yeah, that book should be around here somewhere." Mika said to everyone. "And we need to hurry and find it before Kymraw or anything worse shows up." Daiki said to Emerald.
"To the carousel!" Dreadbane said, making everyone notice him, Tazma, Sneasler, some undead warriors walked to them.
"Like that." Daiki said to everyone. "Get down!" Piper said to everyone, as they returned their Pokemon to their Pokeballs, and hid behind some statues, as Dreadbane, Tazma, Sneasler, some undead warriors reached the carousel.
"The Codex piece is close." Tazma said to Dreadbane. "Secure the perimeter." Dreadbane said to the undead warriors, making them move around the place. "We can't do this alone. We need to find Arkayna and Zarya."
"Uh, I just did." Emerald said, as they watched some undead warriors bring in Akrayna, Zarya, Choko, and their Pokemon in and tied their wrist to a statue.
"I stand alone within fiery bloom." Tazma said, thinking out loud. "Perhaps if we set the room on fire, the Codex will reveal itself." Dreadbane said to Tazma. "What is with you and setting things on fire?" Tazma asked Dreadbane, before gasping. "The statue with the flame brand." Tazma said to Dreadbane, before she, Dreadbane, and Sneasler walked away from everyone.
"We have to save them." Emerald said to everyone, whispering. " I've got the perfect planny-poo." Piper said to everyone. "What is she talking about?" Daiki asked everyone. "Look at the floor. there's a manhole behind us and where they tied up. We can use that to get closer. Not a bad idea Piper." Miak said to Piper.
That's when Emerald's phone buzzed, getting the attention of a couple undead warriors. Emerald looked at her phone and noticed it was Doug calling them.
"Not the best time, Doug." Emerald said to Doug, quietly. "What's goin' on? Where are you?" Doug asked Emerald. "I don't have time to explain, but meet us at the carousel, now." Emerald said to Doug, before hanging up. Then Piper, Emerald, Mika, and Daiki ducked into the manhole next to them right before undead warriors noticed them.
Back with Doug, he was trying to free the griffins, making them whinnying. "Whoa, easy, girls!" Doug said to the griffins, but earned a snort from Archer and Sundial. "And guys." Doug said to Archer and Sundial, making them calm down.
That's when Doug heard Teeth chattering, and noticed Barnabas and Onix hiding. "Oh, het! Goblin dude!" Doug said to Barnabas, scaring Barnabas. "Aha, p-p-p-please don't hurt us. The name's Barnabus. Mall security." Barnabas said to Doug.
"Oh, that is perfect! I think the Mysticons need our help." Doug said to Barnabas. "Yeah, about that." Barnabas said to Doug, rubbing the back of his head.
"Come on, Barnabus! Time to goblin up. It is go time!" Doug said to Barnabas, before laughing a little. "Yeah, I always wanted to say something like that. Anyways, all right . Come on, follow me!" Doug said to Barnabas, before leading the way.
Back at the carousel, Dreadbane, Tazma, and Sneasler were looking at a statue. "Within fiery bloom." Tazma said to everyone. "It must be in the statue. Maybe I should just rip off its arm." Dreadbane said, as he ripped the arm off the statue.
"How does that help?" Tazma asked Dreadbane. "You're overthinking the riddle." Dreadbane said to Tazma, before tossing the arm, making it crash into a window. This caused Tazma to float up and grab Dreadbane's cap. "You're underthinking it!" Tazma said to Dreadbane, getting annoyed with him.
"Fantastic. How are we supposed to get out of this one?" Zarya asked Arkayna. "Piper, Mika, Daiki, and Em are still out there." Arkayna said to Zarya. "Great. Our lives are in the hands of a pint-sized knight, two people with no weapons, and an elf with zero attention span.
That's when Emerald, Piper, Mika, and Daiki came out of the manhole. Emerald made a pink misty bubble around them and some undead warriors. With the bubble muffling the sounds, Emerald, Piper, Mika, and Daiki let out their Pokemon and they defeated the undead warriors.
"Nice work, Pipes." Zarya said to Piper, as everyone walked up to them, with Piper having a frown on her face. "Nice work? "Nice work", she says! If you had listened to me from the beginning, we wouldn't be in this mess!" Piper said to Zarya.
"Whaddya want me to say? Sorry?" Zarya asked Piper. 'Wake up and smell the Dragon Lotuses!" Piper said to Zarya, her voice getting loud. "Guys, keep it down!" Arkayna said to Piper and Zarya. "Yeah, we can argue about Dragon Lotuses back at the base." Daiki said to everyone.
"Wait- that's it, that's it!. I love you. You and your angry-wangry cheeks." Piper said to Zarya, pinching Zarya's cheeks. "I stand alone within fiery bloom." Piper said to everyone, pointing to the top of the carousel.
"A Dragon Lotus!" Arkayna said to everyone. "They built the carousel around the temple's last remaining column." Emerald said to everyone, as Piper hopped onto Charizard's back, and Charizard flew up to top of the carousel.
Once Piper reached the top, she started to look around, and found a secret lever and pushed it. This caused the top to open, and the Codex piece came out of the top, the book was tan with a phoenix head mark on it.
"It's beautiful. I found it! I found it! I found the Codex piece!" Piper said, before doing a victory dance, even letting out some tiny fireworks. This made Charizard put a hand on his face, while everyone on the ground got worried about this, with Arkayna, Mika, and Daiki waving their arms trying to make her stop.
But it was too late, Dreadbane, Tazma, Sneasler, and all of the undead warriors heard them and turned to them. When Charizard noticed all of them looking at them, he hit Piper with his tail, making her notice she got everyone's attention. "Oopsy." Piper said.
That's when Dreadbane started to change to the carousel. This caused Piper and Charizard to go for the Cidex piece. But once they got it, Dreadbane was able to blast them with a blast from his sword, knocking them off the carousel, and making them lose the Codex Piece when they hit the ground.
"The Codex piece!" Arkayna said to everyone. "Shadowy powers fill the sky with the most savage of steeds, the dark pegasi!" Tazma said, as she casted a dark spell, making a storm brew over them, and made the horse in the carousel into black pegasi monsters. "Uh oh."
With Doug, Barnabas, Dedenne, Onix, and the griffins, they were walking to the carousel when the storm appeared. "Yeah, I'm outta here." Barnabas said, as he tried to run, but was stopped by Doug. "Nuh-uh, no way, buddy. The Mysticons need us!" Doug said to Barnabas.
"I just wanna finish my shift and retire. I'm a mall cop, not a hero!" Barnabas said to Doug. "No, you're not a hero, and neither am I. we're like Twinkly Mare." Doug said to Barnabas, as he pulled out the Twinkly Mare. "Sure, Twinkly Mare isn't one of the main heroes, but she supports them so they can fight the good fight. Everybody has their part to play, Barnabus. No horsey's too small." Doug said to Barnabas, holding the Twinkly Mare to Barnabas,
"I'm sorry, my one-eyed friend, but his horsey is too small." Barnabas said to Doug, before walking away, with Onix following Barnabas.
Back at the carousel, Dreadbane, and some undead warriors hopped onto the dark pegasi. "Bring me the Codex piece and destroy the Mysticons." Dreadbane said to everyone.
"Never!" Arkayna said to Dreadand, as they rushed the Codex piece. But Dreadbane fired a blast from his sword, knocking Arkayna back into Quaquaval, taking them both out, and making them stop.
"You'll pay for that, Dreadbane!" Emerald said to Dreadbane, as she tried to shoot him down with a blast from her sword, but a dark pegasi came and hit her and Incineroar in the back, knocking them to the floor and out.
Zarya and Cinderace jumped into the air, and while in the air, Zarya fired an arrow into and a fire ball into two of the undead warriors, knocking them off their pegasi.
But then the undead warriors did hit and run attacks on them. "Cinderace use your last two Pyro Ball." Zarya said to Cinderace, as she tossed Cinderace two more pebbles, before firing an arrow at one of the undead warriors knocking it off its pegasi.
"Cinderace." Cinderace said, as he started to kick the pebbles, soon juggling two large fireballs with his feet. Then Cinderace kicked the fireballs into the air, taking out a couple undead warriors and their pegasi.
"Blaziken use Double Kick." Piper said to Blaziken, as she threw her ring into the air, hitting one of the undead warriors off its pegasi. "Blaziken." Blaziken said, as he jumped into the air, kicked an undead warrior off a pegasi, then kicked the pegasi inside of its head, knocking it out of the sky. Then Blaziken landed foot first on the ground like it was nothing.
"Charizard, try burning them out of the sky with Flamethrower." Mika said to Charizard, as she ducked to dodge an undead warrior and pegasi. "Charizard." Charizard said, as he let out a steam of fire from his mouth, setting fire to a few pegasi, making them crash and burn.
But the undead warriors on the pegasi survive, and charge at everyone. "Venusaur stop them with Leech Seed." Daiki said to Venusaur. "Venusaur." Venusaur said, as he fired green glowing seeds at the undead warriors, hitting undead warriors, making vines grow all over them and trapping them.
But the undead warriors kept swarming them and forced everyone to squat down to avoid their attacks. "Oh, we'll never stop them. They're everywhere!" Piper said to everyone. That's when Arkayna, Emerald, Quaquaval, and Incineroar started to get up, but only for Tazma to cast a spell on them, wrapping them all up in shadows.
"They're all yours my liege." Tazma said to Dreadbane, as Dreadbane landed his pegasi in front of everyone. "You are nothing, Mysticons. You curs! You are whelps. You are the dirt beneath my boot. Prepare to meet your doom!" Dreadbane said to everyone, as he raised his sword.
But that's when Doug's Twinkly Mare came flying at him, knocking him off his pegasi. "What was that?" Dreadbane asked, confused by what just happened.
That's when everyone turned to see Doug, Dedenne, and the griffins, with Doug having his Twinkly Mare back. "Twinkly Maaaare!" Doug yelled out, like a battle cry. "What?" Dreadbane asked, even more confused. This made Doug frown and play the commercial again.
"Stop! Stop! For the love of Lamias, make it stop!" Dreadbane said to Doug, feeling like this was torture. "What? It's for Dedenne." Doug said to everyone, with Dedenne shaking her head no.
That's when Tazma cast a shadow bolt at Doug, trapping all of them in shadows. "Sorry, Girls. That's all I got." Doug said to the Mysticons. "Ahem." Daiki said to Doug. "And guys." Doug said to the Mysticons, as an undead warrior handed Dreadbane the Codex piece.
"Finally." Dreadbane said, as he took the Codex piece. "Okay, Dreadpants. Let's get this doom thing over with." Zarya said to Dreadbane. "As you wish." Dreadbane said to Zarya, raising her sword.
"No horsey's too small! For Twinkly Mare!" Barnabas said, making everyone notice him and Onix on the wall, and jumped off the wall. "For Twinkly Mare!" Doug yelled, proud of Barnabas.
Tazma tried to trap him, but was blinded by a flash of Barnabas' flash light. Barnabas and Oni then crash into Dreadbane, pinning Dreadbane to the ground, and making Dreadbane lose the Codex piece.
That's when everyone heard a slow clap. Everyone turned their heads to see El, who was back in her normal clothes and look, walking up to everyone with Banette at her side.
"Nice work Barnabas." El said to Barnabas. "Now then let's cut you down." El said to the Mysticons, as she popped out her blade and slashed the shadows off Piper, Mika, Daiki, and their Pokemon, letting them fall, and land on their feet.
"Pardon, but? What about us?!" Emerald asked El, as Dreadbane forced Barnabas and Onix off himself. "I prefer it if you three and your Pokemon and pet just stay there. After all, things are about to get Mega." El said to Emerald, as she held up her right hand, making six black orbs float above her right hand.
When the black faded, it revealed three Key Stones, witn on Key Stone being in a golden fingerless glove, as well three leather straps with crystals in the straps, the crystal in one of the straps had a dark red and light red core in the middle of a tan crystal, another strap had a dark blue green and pink core in the middle of a light blue green crystal, and the last strap had a yellow and bright red core in the middle of a tan crystal.
"Here, take these new powers." El said to Piper, Mika, Daiki, and their Pokemon, as she flingged her hand at everyone, fling the Key Stones and straps at them. The free Key Stones went into Mika and Daiki's leather band and spun so it was on top, the Key Stone with the glove went onto Piper's left hand, the strap with the tan crystal and dark red and light red core wrapped around Blaziken's waste like a belt, the strap with the light blue green crystal and dark blue green and pink core wrapped around the base of Venusaur's flower, and the last strap with the tan crystal and a yellow and bright red core wrapped around Charizard's neck.
"How is jewelry going to help?" Zarya asked El, getting annoyed with it. "Oh ye of little imagination. Watch this." El said to Zarya, as she spun her leather band to her Key Stone.
"EVEN IN DARKNESS, FRIENDSHIP CAN BLOOM! NOW WATCH AS OUR FRIENDSHIP TAKES THINGS TO THE NEXT LEVEL! MEGA EVOLVE!" El said as three streams of energy came out of his keystone. "Banette." Banette said as three streams of energy came out of the crystal in her bow. Soon the energy connected and Banette started to glow.
Soon Banette's body and hands became balls with two spikes and a yellow zipper on them. And the tip of his head grew and a zipper formed from the top of it to his left eye.
"Whoa! What is this?!" Piper asked El, getting excited. "This is Mega Evolution. Through the power of Friendship my Banette has reached a new level of power. So think of your friendship with your Pokemon and try it out." El said to Piper. "Really! Let's do this." Piper said to everyone, as they got into a fighting stance.
"LETS HAVE FUN! LET'S PLAY WITH OUR FRIENDS! AND LET'S ENJOY OUR LIVES TO THE FULLEST! MEGA EVOLVE!" Piper said as three streams of energy came out of her Key Stone. "Blaziken." Blaziken said as three streams of energy came out of the crystal around his waist. Soon the energy connected and Blaziken started to glow.
Soon Blaziken body change, a small claw appeared on the lower back of his knee, his talon hands became longer with two streams of fire coming out of the wrist like they were ribbons, the horns on his head became a one fin with a spike on the top back of it, this hair flipped up and forms two fins, hair around his chest like a jacket became longer and covered more of his shoulders, then the light faded revealing that Blaziken has the same colors, the only difference was his chest had a black flame mark on it and his upper legs were black.
"OVER THE COURSE OF TIME, THE SEEDS OF FRIENDSHIP TURNS INTO A MIGHTY TREE! AND WITH THIS NEW POWER OUR TREE WILL BLOOM MIGHTY FLOWERS. MEGA EVOLVE!" Daiki said as three streams of energy came out of his Key Stone. "Venusaur." Venusaur said as three streams of energy came out of the crystal around his flower. Soon the energy connected and Venusaur started to glow.
Soon the flower on Venusaur's back grew, taking his leaves up and growing vines around the flower and leaves, then new tropical leaves grew at the base of the flower, and a smaller tropical flower appeared on his head. The glow stopped revealing Venusaur to have the same colors, with the new flower on his head being pink.
"OUR FRIENDSHIP HAS NO LIMITS! IT GOES BEYOND THE CITY, BEYOND THE SKY, BEYOND SPACE! TO THE VERY EDGE OF THE COSMOS! MEGA EVOLVE!" Mika said as three streams of energy came out of her Key Stone. "Charizard." Charizard said as three streams of energy came out of the crystal around his neck. Soon the energy connected and Charizard started to glow.
Soon the horns on his head became a fine point with a horn twice as long appeared in the middle of his horns, his head became more fit, his body became more fit and aerodynamic, his arms because small with small fin like wings attached to his wrist with a spike at the end of the wings, his hand became just three short white claws, the end of his tail and three sharp bums at the end and a spike at the base of the tail, his wings looked sharper looking a little ripped up at the bottom of the wings, with the a spike at the bottom end of the wings, and a spike at the upper middle of the wings. Then the glow faded and Charizard's colors were the same.
"Allow me to introduce, Mega Banette." El said to everyone, pointing to Banette. "Mega Blaziken." El said to everyone, pointing to Blaziken. "Mega Venusaur." El said to everyone, pointing to Venusaur. "And Mega Charizard Y." El said to everyone, pointing to Charizard.
"This is so cool!" Piper said, as she jumped up and down in excitement. "It is interesting." Daiki said to everyone. "Let's wee what can this do. Charizard, care to start us off?" Mika said to Charizard. "CHARIZARD!" Charizard roared, as sunlight broke through the storm Tazma made, in a matter of moments, the storm was gone and bright sunlight covered the sky.
"What just happened?" Arkayna asked. "When Pokemon Mega Evolve, their abilities change, for Charizard Y, his ability is now Dought, upon entering battle he changes the water to that of Intense Sunshine, perfect weather for Fire Type attacks and for tans." El said to everyone, as she pulled out some sunglasses and put them on.
"In that case, Blaziken use Blaze Kick." Piper said to Blaziken. "Blaziken." Blaziken said, as his legs became encased in red flames that turned orange, and with the intense sunlight out the flames became yellow. Then Blaziken then jumped into the air, and kicked one of the undead warriors and pegasi, hitting them with enough force to send them flying off into the distance.
Then, once Blaziken landed on the ground, Blaziken glowed red. "What's up with Blaziken?" Emerald asked everyone. "The sun plus Mega Evolving, made his fire even stronger. And as he keeps fighting, he'll get faster." El said to Emerald. "What do you mean?" Piper asked El.
"His new ability is Speed Boost. Every few minutes he'll get faster and faster." El said to Piper. "Really?" Piper asked El, with El nodding yes. "Blaziken use your Flame Charge and make yourself super fast." Piper said to Blaziken.
"Blaziken." Blaziken said, as he encased himself in yellow flames and charged at the undead warriors that were still on the ground. And as Blaziken kept hitting the undead warriors, he got faster, so fast that it looked like a yellow line was going around and hitting the undead warriors. "So pretty." Piper said, enjoying the show
"What about Venusaur? What's his new ability?" Daiki asked El. "Nothing crazy like Blaziken or Charizard. It's called Thick Fat, it cuts the damage of Fire and Ice attacks in half." El said to Daiki.
"That's it. Why do I feel like I got the short end of the stick?" Daiki said to El. "Just have Venusaur fight. Banette use Shadow Claw." El said to Daiki and Banette. "Banette." Banette said, as her claws became encased in black energy with a purple outline. Banette then jumped into the air and slashed an undead warrior and pegasi in two.
"Fine. Venusaur take out those pegasi in the sky with Petal Blizzard." Daiki said to Venusaur. "Venusaur." Venusaur said, as he let out so many pink petals, making a very thick blizzard out of pink petals. The petals blow around in the sky, knocking the rest of the undead warriors and pegasi out of the sky.
"We can't let them have all the fun, Charizard use Flamethrower!" Mika said to Charizard. "Charizard!" Charizard said, as he let out a concentrated steam of fire, like it was a laser, hitting a few of the undead warriors and pegasi turning them to ash.
Getting tired of this, Tazma tired to cast a spell. "Banette use Throat Chop." El said to Banette. "Banette." Banette said, as she lunged at Tazma, her claws went flat. Banette then chopped her right hand into Tazma's throat, shutting Tazma up and stopping her spell.
"Sneasler!" Sneasler said, as his claws were encased in black energy with a purple outline. "Banette use Confuse Ray." El said to Banette. "Banette." Banette said, and in a second, Banette made balls of light appear and threw it at Sneasler's face, confusing Sneasler and making him miss his attack. Then Dreadbane tried to grab Banette, but Banette jumped away before Dreadbane could grab him.
"How did his Confused Ray move so fast?" Daiki asked El. "Banette's new ability is Prankster. An ability that makes status moves, like Confuse Ray, faster. That also includes Will-O-Wisp." El said to Daiki and Banette.
"Banette." Banette said, as she made floating purple flames. Then Banette flung the flames at Dreadbane, Tazma, and Sneasler, hitting them and making burns appear on them, and making them groan in pain.
"Let's finish this." Mika said to everyone. "Agreed." Daiki said to everyone. "Charizard/Venusaur use Tera Blast." Mika and Daiki said to Charizard and Venusaur. "Charizard/Venusaur!" Charizard and Venusaur said, as they fired large balls of multi-color sparkles. The sparkles crashed into Dreadbane, Tazma, and Sneasler, making a big burst of sparkles, knocking Dreadbane, Tazma, and Sneasler to the ground.
"See, this is why I left you tied up." El said to Arkayna, Zarya, Emerald, Choko, and their Pokemon. "Whatever, can you cut us down now?" Zarya asked El. "Sure." El said to Zarya, as she cut everyone else free, but how she cut them, caused all of them to land on their faces. "I hate you." Arkayna said to El, as she got up and gave El a mean look. "I know." El said to Arkayna, giving her a big smile.
While all that was going on, Barnabas and Onix sneaked over to the side and grabbed the Codex piece. Once they had it, they moved back to Piper. "I believe this is yours." Barnabas said to Piper, handing Piper her Codex piece.
"Ha-ha! Got my Codex piece." Piper said, as she took her Codex piece and opened the book, letting out an orange glowing energy phoenix. Then the phoenix became a snake with a phoenix head around Piper's right wrist. "Let's celebrate!" Piper said to everyone, as she turned to see Dreadbane, Tazma, and Sneasler getting up.
"Blaziken make a wall with your speed and Flame Charge." Piper said to Blaziken. "Blaziken." Blaziken said, as he encased himself in yellow flames and started to run in circles around Dreadbane, Tazma, and Sneasler.
And as Blaziken kept running in a circle, he kept getting faster, and faster, and faster, until he was moving so fast that it looked like Dreadbane, Tazma, and Sneasler were trapped in a yellow circle wall.
"Fly, Phoenix, fly!" Piper said, as she jumped into the air letting Dreadbane, Tazma, and Sneasler see her over the fire wall. Then Piper fired her phoenix at Dreadbane, Tazma, and Sneasler, hitting them and causing a big explosion that sent Dreadbane, Tazma, and Sneasler flying out of the mall. Seeing this, all the undead warriors ran away, with some by foot, and the others by what little pegasi they had left.
"Stop being such scaredy-skeletons!" Piper said to the undead warriors, before they all laughed. "My bracer is fabtacular!" Piper said, enjoying the moment. "You did good, kid. Guess we can be Mysticons and have fun." Zarya said to Piper, putting a hand on Piper's shoulder.
"Darn rootin'-tootin'. Miss Paisley, loop-de-loop." Piper said, as she hopped on her Griffin and took off into the air. But when Miss Paisley did a loop, Piper fell off and fell to the ground. Lucky Blaziken was still in his Mega Form and had his high speed, and caught Piper before she hit the ground.
"Guess I should've buckled in." Piper said to everyone. This just made Zarya and Mika give Piper a look of "the more they change the more they stay the same", and shake their heads. That's when Banette, Blaziken, Venusaur, and Charizard turned back into their normal forms.
"What just happened?" Piper asked everyone. "Mega Evolution is a temporary thing once the battle is over it turns off." El said to everyone. "So it's like Terastallization?" Mika asked El. "No, unlike Terastallization, Mega Evolution doesn't have to charge. However it does take a toll on the body, both yours and your Pokemon, so best to not use it in rapid succession." El said to Mika.
"Now, I have to get a Twinkly Mare, so I'll be off." El said to everyone, as she started to walk away. "You're into that toy as well?" Zarya asked El. "Nope, but you would be surprised what people are willing to trade for one. Catch up with you later." El said to Zarya, before disappearing in the shadows with Banette.
A few minutes later, everyone was back at the main gate. "Douglaphius Hadderstorm, I want you to have this as a token of our adventure together." Barnabas said to Doug, as he pulled out a Twinkly Mare. "A Twinkly Mare! Ha-Ha-ha! Thank you, Barnabus!" Doug said to Barnabas.
"His "Dedenne" is gonna love it." Arkayna said to Doug. "Fare thee well, Mysticons!" Barnabus, as he started to walk away with Onix. "Enjoy thine retirement!" Emerald said to Barnabus.
"That worked out well. Even with El annoying us. "We secured a Codex piece. Defeated Dreadbane, Tazma, and Sneasler. Piper, Mika, and Daiki got a new power. And we protected the mall from doom and destruction." Arkayna said to everyone, crossing her arms and closing her eyes.
"Uh, you might want to open your eyes and think about that last part." Daiki said to Arkayna, as everyone looked at the damage and fire all over the place. "I think we're gonna need a clean-up on aisle four." Emerald said to everyone.
"Don't look at me. I'm retired, baby! Woohoo!" Barnabus said to everyone, as he found a hover bike that wasn't smashed, started riding it, and left at high speed with Onix following Barnabus.
That's when someone tapped on Doug's right shoulder, making Doug turn to his head right. Then when Doug's head was turned, a hand came from the left and swiped the Twinkly Mare out of Doug's hand.
"Huh?! Twinkly Mare?! Where are you Twinkly Mare?!" Doug asked, panicking a little. That's when they heard an engine roar, and turned around to see El and Banette on a working hoverbike, with Banette holding the Twinkly Mare.
"El, what are you doing?" Daiki asked El. "Well I got that Twinkly Mare I was here for, so I was about to head out. But then I had a thought. The day is young and nothing gets the blood pumping like a good chase. So if you want Doug's Twinkly Mare back. You better catch me!" El said to Daiki, before laughing like a maniac, and driving away at full throttle.
"TWINKLY MAAAAAAAAARE!" Doug yelled to the sky, dropping to his knees. "Don't just stand around! After her!" Arkayna said to everyone, as they returned their Pokemon to their Pokeballs and hopped onto their giffins, before going after El.
This led to the Mysticons chasing El all over the city for the whole day, with El always being ahead of them, and laughing at them.
