"Hey, Jess. You, uh... you busy?" Julian asked
"Nope. What's up?" Jess asked
"I, uh, need a little help. With some... uh... shturdy... shmurffing..." said Julian
"What was that? You kind of just started mumbling..." said Jess
"I need help studying, okay? It's not a big deal! If I don't pass all my subjects Coach won't let me play football anymore he said I should focus on my studies." said Julian
"Sure we can study at the library after school we might need Tommy help he get top score in the school." said Jess
At the library
"I'm failing everything except for PE and Spanish. I have this math test coming, then it's english after, chemistry and history." Julian frowned
"Let's get started review what we learned in class." Tommy smiled
Julian struggles answering the question. "I don't get it I'm stupid."
"Your not stupid your a smart guy I know you can demolish this test." said Tommy
"It's just... I don't even see why it matters what grade I get on the test! It's not like I'm gonna be some smart-pants guy with a PHD! It's not like I'm smart! It's like my dad and all my teacher always says. Playing football's the only thing I'm ever gonna be good at. I shouldn't waste my time trying to do anything else!" Julian frown
"Your... dad says that?" Tommy asked
"Yeah. And he's right. I'm just a big, dumb jock. That's all I'll ever be." said Julian
"Julian... that's not true." said Jess
"You... you don't think so?" Julian asked
"No. of course I don't. You're so much more than a jock. You're a great friend and a fun guy." said Jess
"And you are absolutely smart enough to demolish the test." said Tommy
"You really think that?" Julian asked
"We really do. You just need a lot of help." said Tommy
"Thanks." said Julian
Julian spend most of the time studying at the library getting his grade up with Tommy help
"Whoo! I did it! I did it! I got 80 in my test B, baby, B! That's the best I've ever done on any test, ever!" Julian cheered
"Congrats, Julian!" Jess cheered
"Seriously! You're a really fast learner! If we keep this up, you'll get an A next time!" Tommy encouraged
"What are you implying? You saying a B isn't good enough? Only a big, dumb jock would get a B?!" Julian asked
"What? No, I... I just." Tommy stuttered
"I'm just messing with you! It's all good!" said Julian
"Heh... fair enough." said Tommy
"Seriously though, thanks for pushing me, guys. I... I guess I get caught up in what my dad says sometimes." said Julian
"Don't let him get to you, Julian. You're so much more than just a jock. Your smart, funny and a great friend." said Jess
