He most likely just did the tasks she sent him out to do and prepare for the on coming event. Celestia sighed at the thought of this. Though Princess of Equestria thought highly of her student, but even she knew he had no chance against Nightmare Moon. Even she herself struggled in battle against her old foe. The battle was neck and neck between two of them til the Nightmare Moon managed to get the upper hand. It was at that Moment Celestia gather all six of the Elements,and with their magic combined with hers,she able to overwhelm the Nightmare Goddess and banished her into the night sky. As they walked past the supposedly empty knights armors Before any of them could walk up the stairs they hear metal footsteps behind them and saw all the now possessed knights armors walking towards them. They're not the only ones that coming to life. As two of the heavy knights armors standing side by side by the door also started walking,wielding big axes while the rest had girls as of before we do this together. Apple Jack told them. Still having the from before Rainbow and Pinkie went to work. Hitting a few knights with the mace she had. Dash managed to bash a few of the possessed armors heads,casing them fall to floor while mocking them,as they swung their swords. Mess me,you messed me. Oh you so messed me. Pinkie was helping her as well as A.J and Rarity took care of the heavy's. With her great strength the eldest daughter of Sweet Apple ranch managed to breach the heavy armor with one punch. Making it fall and revealing the posted magic inside. However the giant armor continued its swing at her but it did that Apple Jack punch its head off causing it to permanently fall to floor. The other heavy armor came for Rarity. Having enough of this pointed her wand and her magic not only breached the from of the armor but also the back end casing the knights armor to drop its ax and fell to the floor. Looks like Rainbow and Pinkie are almost done. A.J told her. With one of the possessed knight armors left. Feeling very cocky Rainbow dropped her mace and picked up a sword and dueled the last possessed knight armor. During the dual Rainbow easily managed to cut off the the armors arm that was wielding the sword. Uh oh. Looks like someone is now disarmed. She mocked and started doing celebration dance. Even though the possessed marmot was still ! Apple Jack shouted. Quit foolin around and finish him we got Dusk to rescue. Oh come on let have this. Dash shouted back not paying attention to the armor that was walking behind her. Oh yeah I'm bad who's the greatest uh huh. Suddenly from behind the armor grabbed Rainbow neck and started slowly choking ! Shouted Pinkie Rarity and Applejack. Rainbow found herself stuck as she couldn't escape the armors Iron grip. Don't worry Rainbow I'm comin. But before A.J made it a piercing sound of metal was heard. And the amors grip Rainbow Dashes neck was loosened as the armor its self fell. Looking down at the armor Rainbow said. Wow! How did that happened? She asked. Pinkie. Turning her head Rainbow aw Fluttershy with a sword in her hand explaining the the piercing sound from earlier. A.J told the girls as they all headed for the door. I hope nothing bad has happened to Dusk worried Rarity. Well I don't feel anything so nothing bad has happened to him yet.
