Drunk

"He's drunk."

"Oh heyyy Tri, it's your mom." Percy grinned up at Amphitrite, trying to point the beautiful sea goddess out to his brother but the world was spinning a little and she kept moving, or maybe the room was moving, was he the one moving?

"Yes."

Triton sat at the other end of the couch Percy crashed on. One of Percy's legs was thrown across Triton's lap, the other dangling listlessly off the couch. Triton had a firm grasp on Percy's ankle, like he could stop Percy from falling off or something by this weird tether.

"Tri, your mom is soooo pretty, did you know that Tri? Tri?"

Amphitrite's lips curled upward a little. She reached out and gently patted Percy on the head, her fingers carding through his hair. Her outfit shone brilliantly in the little waiting room/sitting area/whatever Triton had snuck Percy into, her gown a series of vibrant blues that mimicked the Caribbean Sea. Come to think of it, it might actually be the Caribbean Sea, Percy wouldn't put it past Poseidon to literally capture part of the sea and fashion it into an outfit for his wife to—oh Triton was talking.

"He was feeling uncomfortable at Father's banquet."

"So you thought the appropriate response was to get him drunk?"

"I thought it might help. I did not realize he was such a lightweight."

"That was alcohol?" Percy asked in surprise, leaning into Amphitrite's touch like a kitten, nuzzling his cheek into her palm. "You told me it was punch."

"You told him it was punch."

"I doubted he would consume it if he knew it was alcohol."

"So you did get him drunk."

There was a long pause, Triton's thumb rubbing back and forth on Percy's ankle.

"I might have gotten him a little drunk."

"I'm totally fine," Percy assured Amphitrite, drawing the o out in what he felt was a totally reassuring manner. "The room is only kind of spinning."

"You are in so much trouble."

"Sorry."

"Not you Percy, Triton is in trouble."

"Ooooh, Tri's in trouuubllee."

Percy grinned down at his brother, laughing at Triton's outraged expression. Percy twisted on the couch, throwing his other leg onto Triton's lap and digging his heels into the minor god's hips just to be annoying. Triton huffed but reached out to capture Percy's other ankle as well.

"I did not realize it would affect him so."

"You fed him alcohol without his knowledge and now he can't even stand straight."

"Aww, don't be mean to Tri, he was trying to help." Percy couldn't help but interject, feeling bad that Triton was getting the third degree when usually it was Percy that got in trouble. He lowered his voice, leaning in closer to the goddess, "He's just really, really bad at it but don't tell him."

Amphitrite looked down at him, her hand still on his cheek. Her thumb gently traced the shape of his nose, index finger tapping the tip in a sweet, gentle gesture that made Percy grin wider. His stepmom was like really nice, wow how could he ever have thought she was mean?

"Come on, let's get you to bed and we can decide who is in trouble later, okay?"

"Gotcha, lemme just—"

"No, no, no, don't sit up so fast—"

"Oh, I don't feel so good," Percy groaned as his stomach rebelled at the sudden movement.

"Don't you dare vomit on me, turn that way—"

"Who says vomit? Don't you dare vomit on me," Percy repeated, mocking Triton's pretentious tone even as he curled miserably into himself. "If I puke on anyone, it's gonna be you, I'm not gonna puke on Mom."

Percy's stomach rolled in a way that stomachs were not supposed to roll and Percy moaned, burying his face in his knees, which nearly sent him toppling from the couch except the water fortified around him, keeping him steady. Percy wasn't sure who he had to thank for that, Amphitrite or Triton, but he was in no condition to thank either. There was like a seventy percent chance that words would not be what came out of his mouth.

Percy stayed in that position, head tucked between his knees and held up solely by the force of the ocean until his stomach finally settled down. When the puke danger level decreased to about a thirteen percent, he uncurled himself and glanced up at his companions.

He slowly became aware of several things over a much too long period of time: one, that Triton's grip on his ankles was actually kind of painful; two, neither deity was looking at him; and three, Amphitrite's eyes were closed.

"I didn't . . . I didn't puke, did I?"

"No, Percy, you did not," Amphitrite said, looking up, and her eyes were weird, actually her voice was a little weird, and she was blinking an awful lot, but maybe that was Percy's imagination. He was seeing a lot of weird things lately.

"Come on, let's get him to bed," Amphitrite told Triton, leaning down to help her stepson up. "Sit up slowly, here let us help you."

The pair manhandled him into a sitting position, then to his feet with slow movements that made the room spin harder, but the contents of his stomach remained where they were so that was a win. Percy blinked and suddenly he was in his bedroom, a blanket being tucked under his chin.

"This room is not spinning," he told Amphitrite, hoping that would please her since the previous spinning room seemed to contribute to her disapproval.

"I'm glad to hear it. Go to sleep and when you wake, none of the rooms shall be spinning."

"Awesome." Percy grinned, closing his eyes. "Oh hey, don't be too mad at Tri. I knew the punch tasted weird but I thought it was a weird god-thing. Should have guessed what it was. Too used to smelling cheap beer I guess, not godly wine or whatever it was and—"

"Shhh," Amphitrite bid and soft hands were fluffing his pillow, tucking the blanket more securely around his form. "Peace. It . . . it is not always on you to lay blame. Rest, my little prince, we will speak more of in the morning."

A/N: Sally Jackson is the ultimate Mom and will always have Percy's heart first and foremost for all she did and sacrificed for him, he is the ultimate mama's boy, but this child has been through enough and deserves two badass moms okay? I think I'll keep updating this collection with random whump prompts that come to mind, so if you have any suggestions please feel free to throw them out there. Can't promise I'll get to them, but I'll try.

Hope everyone is staying safe and healthy. Please take care.
