Serana and I stumbled into our room as we both were a bit tipsy. We accidentally slammed into each other, which made us lock eyes with each other. Serana smiled at me as she narrowed her eyes in a seductive gaze. "Well, hello there, handsome." She purred as she began to run her fingernails up and down my chest. I felt my heartbeat rise as shivers went up to my spine.
"You smell so nice." Serana purred as she rested her head in the nook of my neck. I felt her cold breath tickling my skin. As goosebumps started to appear all over my skin.
I looked down at her, stroking her hair softly. Freeing up the intoxicating sweet scent. "You too, Serana..." I replied as I closed my eyes.
Serana backed away from me a bit as she pushed me on the bed, looking at me while biting her lip.
I was so drunk I didn't even notice she had pushed me on the bed as my vision was blurry, and the room seemed to twist and twirl.
Serana seemed to notice my intoxicated state as a pang of guilt shot through her.
*No, not like this...* she cursed herself. As she turned away from me.
She was ashamed of herself for trying to get what she wanted, with me being drunk.
*do you really need to use booze to get him to fall for you? You indeed are a hopeless person...*
After that, she quickly laid down on her own bed and promptly closed her eyes.
The following day came, and I woke up earlier than Serana for once. She usually would come in with dinner or be seated somewhere reading a book. Not this time, though. I looked to my side to see her fast asleep. Cuddling with a pillow, as she laid there, she looked so peaceful, so *human*.
"How cute," I whispered as I slowly got up.
The sound of my feet touching the ground seemed to be enough to wake her up, however.
"Huh? Where are you going, Dracar?" She asked tiredly as she yawned, stroking her hands in her eyes. After she opened them, she looked at me with the cutest expression on her face. That made my heart beat just a little faster.
"I am just going to get some food for us. You can stay in bed, princess." I said the last part teasingly.
"Hey! That's my job." Serana remarked at me getting the food.
"Well, today, it's mine," I said. She just pouted at me as she turned over again with a groan.
After a while, I came into the room with a plate full of food and sweets. I knew Serana liked sweets as I saw her dig into a sweetroll once as if her life depended on it. I was surprised to see that Serana had fallen asleep again.
"Lazy girl.." I muttered to myself as I grabbed my pillow and threw it at her.
As it connected, Serana bolted upright with a yelp. I began to laugh at her girly scream.
"What was that for? You asshole!" Serana said as she pouted at me. " I had a nice dream."
I shook my head at her.
"Come on, it's time to get out of bed. We got things to do." I told her with an amused smile. Serana groaned in her pillow. " I don't wanna. Can't we just relax for one day?" She complained, almost childlike.
I chuckled at her antics as I crossed my arms.
" Remind me of your age again..? You are acting like a child. Now come on, I have your favorite food." I said as I laughed a bit.
"Hmm, your blood?" She purred as she looked at me. But, instead, her eyes went wide as she spotted the sweetroll. " A SWEETROLL!" She screamed excitingly as she jumped out of bed. Digging into the sweetroll very unladylike.
I sat down next to her and began to eat as well. I glanced over at Serana which was almost bouncing up and down on her chair in happiness, indulging in eating the sweetroll.
*sometimes, it is easy to forget this woman is a few millennia old...* I thought to myself as I smiled.
Serana caught me staring at her as she looked at me with a questioning expression on her face. It looked cute, primarily because of the little pieces of sweetroll in the corner of her mouth.
"Nothing much. I am just glad you are enjoying the food. However, you got something in the corner of your mouth." I said as I pointed at the crumbs of sweetroll in the corners of her mouth.
She looked away, embarrassed, as she wiped her mouth quickly. After that, we finished our meal and walked out of our room to look for the mysterious person who left the note.
Orgnar was talking to a blond woman, which was unfamiliar to me. As he noticed Serana and me, he waves us over.
"Ah, Dracar! I want you to meet someone. This here is my beautiful wife, Delphine." He said.
Both me and Serana looked at the woman with a raised eyebrow.
*How could she have gone into that crypt and retrieved that Horn?* I thought to myself.
I looked at the woman as I spoke up, narrowing my eyes.
"Do you have an attic room by any chance?" I asked her, never letting the woman out of my sight.
"No, we don't, but I could show you to our honeymoon room." So she said as she led us to the most significant room they had.
Orgnar raised a curious eyebrow at Serana. But, then, she just shrugged as she followed Delphine and me to the big room.
Once we were in the room, Delphine closed the door behind us as she began to whisper.
"You weren't followed now, were you?" She said with a paranoid tone.
I looked at the woman weirdly.
"Uhmm... no? Why?" I said with a confused tone.
I looked at Serana which twirled her finger in circles pointed at her head. Signifying that the woman seemed crazy.
"Hmm, good," Delphine replied as she walked towards a closet that stood against a wall.
My mouth opened wide as she opened the doors and slid the back wall to the side. Revealing a stairway leading down in a cellar.
The woman walked down it, and I once again made eye contact with Serana. She raised her shoulders as we proceeded to walk down the stairs. Meeting the woman down there.
Before she could say anything, I spoke up.
"Before you are going to start, I want to cut you off immediately. No, we don't want to help you, and we aren't errand people who you can send out to do jobs for you. We are just here for the Horn, so hand it over." I said as I already knew where this was going.
The woman looked at me with a surprised expression mixed with a bit of anger.
"You haven't even heard me out yet! This concerns the return of the dragons..." she replied, a bit agitated.
"Don't know, don't care... Just hand over the Horn, and we will be on our way. You know how much trouble we went through to retrieve that thing? Only to find your stupid note!" I blurted out, feeling that same anger after we figured out someone had taken it. "We risked our lives in there, you know!"
The woman was taken back by my hostility.
"I am sorry I wouldn't have done that if I didn't seem it necessary." She replied.
I glared at her.
"Well, you could have looked for us on the road, you know... instead of letting us go through all that trouble for that damn thing!" I was once again fuming with anger by the audacity of this woman.
"Well, I try, but you are a hard man to find Dracar. However, I knew you would try to retrieve the Horn sooner or later, so I did this." She started explaining.
*smart.* Serana thought as she gave the woman some credit. However, she did agree with Dracar it was beyond rudeness.
"Let's hear her out, Dracar. We can always decide to help her or not if we wish to," Serana told me. I looked over at her with an irritated expression.
"Fine! But I do not promise anything." I said as I turned my attention back to Delphine.
Delphine looked over at Serana with a thankful expression on her face.
"Thank you... And believe me, this will be of great importance." Delphine said.
Serana, however, didn't smile back as she crossed her arms.
"Don't mistake my remark for kindness... I am just as pissed about that little stunt of yours as my friend here. But if you got any useful information about the dragons returning, it would be worth it." Serana told Delphine with an emotionless expression on her face.
Delphine gulped a bit at this, but she started explaining.
"I think the dragons returning got something to do with the Thalmor." She started. "Ever since they arrived in Skyrim, strange things have been happening. And now, with the dragons returning, I am almost certain they have something to do with it."
My jaw dropped as my mouth opened wide.
*Is this woman for real?! The Thalmor bringing back dragons? She must be crazy! No one could be that powerful...* I thought as someone with that power needs to be eliminated immediately.
"You must be joking, right?" I replied, finding all this hard to believe.
The woman's expression hardened.
" Unfortunately, I am not joking. I wish this was all some sick joke... But I believe the Thalmor are doing this and manipulating the Stormcloak's to further weaken the Empire to bring it to its knees, so they can take over." Delphine explained. "Hear me out. I know its sounds crazy but remember this?" She said as she pointed towards the old dragonstone that I retrieved from Bleak Falls Barrow.
I nodded.
"How did you get that?" I asked, confused as to how this woman got her hands on the dragonstone. " I left this thing with Farengar back in Whiterun."
"I know! I was there me and Farengar are working together. Now please hear me out. I know this sounds crazy. But all of these spots on the dragonstone point towards a dragon burial site. I have been investigating some of them, and they seemed to be empty."
"Empty? What does that mean? Is someone bringing the dragons back to life!" I asked in horror.
* why would anyone want to do that? Those creatures are terribly terrifying, not to mention highly deathly...* I thought to myself.
"Yeah, exactly! But it has been happening in a pattern. I believe the next one is going to be this one right here." She said as she pointed towards a point on a map. Close to Kynesgrove.
I rubbed the front of my head with my hand as I sighed.
"Fine... we will come with you towards Kynesgrove," I said as I reluctantly accepted. The thought of coming face to face with a dragon again terrified me to my core. Those things scared me more than vampires.
Serana patted me on the back as I sulked over, sighing loudly. "It's okay, Dracar. I am with you all the way." She said, reassuring me.
"It is not that Serana... I am just the most cursed human on this planet. " I said as I cursed my wicked fate.
Delphine gave us some horses, and we started to make our way over to Kynesgrove. It took us almost the whole day but come evening we finally arrived there.
We came upon the burial mound, which was still untouched. But, as we walked over to it, I heard a very familiar roar. Which shocked me to my core.
"HIDE!" I yelled as I bolted towards a nearby rock hiding behind it.
A large shadow was cast over us as the sound of enormous clapping wings filled the otherwise silent evening. I glanced over the rock to confirm my suspicion, and my eyes went wide as I saw the colossal black monstrosity. My heart rate spiked as I felt my blood boil.
The dragon was speaking in a language unknown to me as the burial mound began to lit up. As bright swirls of Magicka were penetrating the dirt.
*, wait! That can't be that it almost seems like that black dragon is talking the damn soul of the other dragon back into it. * I thought as my jaw dropped at sight.
I felt my heart almost burst out of my chest as the immense feeling of fear dawned on me again. Serana seemed to notice my panicked state as she put her hand on my chest. I calmed down a bit as I looked at her with a fearful expression on my face.
"Why are you so scared of this once Dracar?" She asked with a hushed tone.
"This one is different, more powerful, more menacing! We must stay hidden. He will kill us in an instant if he spots us." I explained as my voice trembled with fear.
Serana face turned even whiter than usual as she pointed to the side of me. My eyes widened as I saw that Delphine was trying to get closer as she sneaked from boulder to boulder.
"CURSE THAT DAMN WOMAN! IS SHE FUCKING MENTALLY DISABLED!" I silently screamed. While making hand notions at Serana, which was also glaring at the blonde Nord woman. She tried mentioning us over to her.
As we frantically tried to keep her in place with hand signals and telling her to stay quiet.
I once again glanced over the boulder as my eyes widened. The burial mountain was now uprooted as another dragon now stood there.
Alduin: **Sahloknir, ziil gro dovah ulse!**
(Sahloknir, ever-bound dragon spirit.)
Alduin: **Slen tiid vo!**
(Let your flesh be unrotten!)
Sahloknir: **Alduin, thuri! Boaan tiid vokriiha suleyksejun kruziik?**
(Alduin, my overlord! An age past, did you not destroy the power of the ancient kings?)
Alduin: **Geh, Sahloknir, kaali mir.**
(Yes, Sahloknir, my trusted ally.)
Alduin: **Ful, losei Dovahkiin? Zu'u koraav nid nol dov do hi.**
(So, my false Dragonborn? I do not recognize you as a dragon.)
I tried to listen to what the dragon was saying, but I couldn't understand the words. They sounded familiar to me, but their meaning was lost to me. Suddenly my eyes widened as the black dragon's eyes met mine.
*shit shit shit!* I thought it began speaking to me, but it was talking in the common tongue this time, which shocked me.
**You do not even know our tongue, do you? Such arrogance, to dare take for yourself the name of Dovah.**
I was frozen in place as my heart rate spiked fear overcame me, and all I could do was stand and watch the dragon speak to me. The dragonblood inside my body was burning so ferociously as it took the dragon for a challenge. The overwhelming feeling almost made me vomit.
It turned its head to the other dragon as it spoke again. **Sahloknir, krii daar joorre.**
(Sahloknir, kill these mortals.)
The grey dragon suddenly turned towards me as it spoke.
"I am Sahloknir! Hear my voice and despair! For my master, Alduin wishes you death, And I am glad to oblige to his wish. " Its voice sent shivers down my spine.
This dragon seemed much more powerful than the dragon I fought at the western watchtower. To my surprise, the black dragon, apparently named Alduin, flew off.
I sighed in relief, but that was short-lived as the other dragon roared. Making it so that my fear instantly returned to me.
I readied my sword and braced my shield. I glanced over at Serana with a fearful look in my eyes. She locked eyes with me as she nodded in reassurance.
"WE CAN DO THIS. I KNOW WE CAN!" She shouted, trying to make herself heard above the dragon's roar.
I felt a little reassured by her words as I felt my courage come back to me. I was shocked to see that Delphine also charged the dragon, but she was swat away by its tail like a mere fly. She connected with a nearby tree losing consciousness.
The dragon looked at me and seemed to be amused as it spoke again.
" I see that mortals have become arrogant since I slept. Now Dragonborn taste my thu'me and despair at its power!"
**you**
A fiery inferno shot towards me, now that I slightly overcame my fear. I faced the inferno hiding behind my shield. I planted my feet firmly in the ground as the heat connected with my shield. My feet left skidmarks on the ground as I was pushed back a little.
Serena's eyes went wide in shock as she saw me being enveloped by the flames. "DRACAR!" She shouted as She instantly began firing ice spikes at the dragon. Which flinched a little, but it didn't seem to do any substantial damage.
*Just a little longer!* I internally screamed at myself as I gritted my teeth, waiting for the force of the fiery inferno to deminise a little.
As I felt the force on my shield weaken a little, I shouted back.
**fus ro dah**
The shockwave left my mouth, bursting through the dragon's shout. Taking with it some of the flames of the dragon's shout.
It connected with the dragon pushing it back a bit. It roared out in pain as it received its own flames back at it.
"Your voice is strong... for a mortal!" So it yelled as it took to the skies.
I quickly hid behind a rock as it fired another inferno. Serana did the same as she hid right beside me.
"How are we going to defeat this thing?! It seems stronger than the other ones." Serana said as she had a good question. I really didn't know myself either until a plan came to mind.
I whispered the plan in Serana's ear. She nodded, and we both bolted from rock to rock. Serana firing lightning bolts ever so often.
" Ah... This is a great practice! My voice has been silent for way too long!" It bouldered as it tried locating me. "Hiding will not save you, Dovahkiin!" It bouldered as it touched the ground again.
I was hiding behind a boulder, behind the dragon. "Serana now!" I yelled.
The dragon tried to turn towards me but was shot with a barrage of destruction spells by a furious vampire.
I sprinted towards the dragon climbing on its back. As I was now on its back, I thrusting Nightbane in between its spine.
It roared out in pain as it took flight.
"How dare you mortal!" It yelled out in pain.
Once in the air, I climbed further on his back, holding on to its scaly spikes. I slowly made my way towards his side as I stuck my knife in it. The dragon roared, turning its head towards me. It bit down on my leg.
**arghh!**
I yelled out in pain as I felt its tooth sink through my armor and into the soft skin underneath. I was steadfast, however, as I slashed the knife down as the dragon tried to pull me off. The combined pulling force made sure the dragon's stomach was sliced open.
As I now finally let go, the dragon flung me towards the ground. As it plummeted towards the ground together with me. I closed my eyes as I saw the ground coming closer, waiting for the impact.
Serana watched the display in horror as she saw me plummeting in horror. "DRACAR!" She yelled as she ran as fast as she could to try and catch me.
I was going too fast, is she tried it like this, she would also die. Suddenly she thought of an idea. She shot multiple fireballs at me and exploded them with a few lightning bolts slowing down my fall just enough for her to safely catch me.
I felt Serana catch me and opened my eyes again. "That was some quick thinking Serana," I said, trembling at the immense pain in my leg.
"YOU FUCKING IDIOT! "She yelled. "Stop trying to get yourself killed!"
I gave her a weak smile. "I am sorry, Serana... apparently, it's what I do best."
I glanced over at the dragon as I saw the familiar sight of it disintegrating. The colorful swirls of Magicka seemed to immediately shot towards me. As they twirled around, Serana and me for a bit before I absorbed them. I instantly felt more powerful as my wounds started healing faster than any healing spell could. Soon I stepped back on my feet again.
I inhaled deeply before screaming loudly.
"FUCK YOU, DIVINES! CAN YOU SEE THIS?! I CREATE MY OWN PATH!" I yelled out into the silent night sky. My yelling came out more like a dragon's roar than any.
Serana began to laugh at me. " I don't think they respond, Dracar. You would have more luck with the deadra."
I looked over at Serana with a coy smile.
"Well, at least it felt good." I laughed sheepishly.
"Aren't we forgetting something?" Serana asked me. We both looked at each other in shock. "Delphine!" We both said in unison as we ran over to where she was flung into a tree.
We both sighed out in relief as we saw that she was sitting there. A bit dazed and disorientated, but she was alive.
"Are you okay?" Serana asked as she helped the woman up to her feet.
" I am having the worst headache I had in years, and I am a bit bruised, but otherwise, I feel fine." She replied.
I looked at her with a stern glare.
"You should be thanking the gods that you survived!" I spat at her spitefully. "This is the second time you endangered our lives! Now hand over the Horn and leave. I don't want to see you again." Again, I spat at the blonde Nord woman.
"I didn't mean to...I wanted to take a closer look around." She said in a low weak tone.
"How fucking stupid are you? There are two extremely fierce and powerful dragons around, and you decide to make our position known! We could have died, you know?! You are an idiot, Delphine." I snarled as I scolded her.
She lowered her head in shame, realizing her mistake.
Serana nudged me. "Hey, go easy on her... Thanks to her, we know how the dragons are returning. Otherwise, we might have never found out."
I sighed deeply as I knew deep down she was right. I just didn't want to admit it because of the stupidity of Delphine. She really angered me. Whereas I am cautious and calculated. She is the polar opposite impulsive and rash.
"I am sorry, Delphine... Thanks for helping us out. Will you now please hand over the Horn so we can continue our search." I said to Delphine with a softer tone than before.
She nodded as she handed the Horn over to us.
"Thank you," Serana said with a genuine smile on her face. "Do you need our company on your way coming back home?"
Delphine shook her head as she went to collect her horse. "You can keep the horses." She spoke up before walking off.
"Good riddance," I spoke up as I watched Delphine ride off in the direction of Whiterun.
"Hey, be nice, mister grumpy," Serana said as she nudged me playfully.
"Yeah yeah, can we please move on now?" I said, annoyed. However, I couldn't help but smile at Serana antics.
"That's a good boy! I like your smile way more." Serana hummed as she mounted her horse.
*good boy? Who does she think she is?!*
I tried to figure out which way to go. As the landscape was not familiar to me. We seemed to be in a valley surrounded by mountains. A small river was flowing down the mountain, and we decided to follow the road that was situated parallel to it.
After riding for a few minutes, leaving the partially snowy landscape around Kynesgrove behind us, the temperature increased considerably, almost getting to the point I wanted to take off my armor and ride around bare-chested. The landscape also drastically changed as I looked around. Massive thermal vents spew out boiling hot water leaving behind a low-hanging fog.
*well, that explains the temperature of the area.* I thought to myself as I wiped the sweat that was dripping from my face. Then, I looked towards Serana, and my jaw dropped. She was now wearing a loose hanging shirt, which showed off her ample breasts. Her hair was flowing softly on her left side. And as she rode her horse, her perky bosom was slightly bouncing up and down.
I shook my head violently, trying to avert my gaze from the display of beauty. *How can that woman have sex appeal with anything she does? Or is it just me being attracted to her...* I thought as I pondered on my attraction to the female vampire.
Serana turned her head to look at me. She quirked her eyebrow at me. As she saw my confused expression while I was still heavily invested in my thoughts.
"Something on your mind? You seem to be busy with thinking." She remarked as she rode closer to me.
This remark shook me out of my thoughts as I turned towards her with an embarrassed expression on my face. Trying my hardest not to stare at the impressive pair of breasts that were practically falling out of her shirt.
She seemed to notice where my embarrassed expression came from as a devious smile graced her pretty face.
"You weren't looking at me breast's now? Or were you! Dracar, you, pervert leering at an innocent girl like that you should be ashamed of yourself." She said with an innocent tone while perking her lips into a pouting expression.
"You are hardly an innocent girl... quite the opposite, I would say. I wonder how many men you have driven crazy through the years." I retorted with a hint of jealousy in my tone.
Serana looked at me with a surprised look on her face as she rode even closer to me. Her finger softly grazing past my chin.
"Is that jealously I pick up in your voice, Dracar? If you want me to drive you crazy like *all* those men you need but ask..." She purred in my ear.
I sighed as I rolled my eyes at her.
"That wasn't what I was implying, Serana. Calm your hormones, your demon."
Serana pouted as she crossed her arms, pushing her breasts up. I had to stop myself from gawking at the amazing view as she looked at me intently, studying my expression.
"I really could go a few days without you, you know," I said as I averted my eyes quickly.
Serana began to laugh as she rode out in front of me.
"Noooo, you can't, and you know it." She hummed as she looked back, winking at me.
I just shook my head and spurred on my horse to catch up to Serana. We rode for a while until the road began to lead up the mountains. The scenery was lit by a beautiful light of two full moons. The sounds of water crashing on the stone from the nearby waterfalls gave the place a surreal picturesque setting. The dim glow of a small mining town radiated in the distance as we rode towards it.
"How about we spend the night there? What do you think, Serana?" I spoke up.
Apparently, Serana was just as captivated by the scenery as she didn't respond immediately.
"Sounds like a plan." She eventually replied as she gave me one of her trademark soft smiles. She seemed to be lost in her thoughts. I decided to not bother her about it as she appeared to be very much occupied.
*I really hope that after we defeat my father eventually our journeys won't end there...*
As we entered the mining village, we were met with quite a rowdy commotion. A few townspeople were yelling in agitation at a handful of high elves. I recognized them as Thalmor inquisitors.
The Thalmor inquisitors began forcefully pulling a male Nord out from the rowdy crowd. Which grew only more furious as cabbages and pitchforks were soon thrown at the Thalmor soldiers.
"Well, this isn't going to be an untroubled night," I spoke out to Serana.
"No rest for the wicked, "Serana replied with an agitated tone.
As we came into earshot of the crowd, we could hear what the commotion was all about.
"You can't take my husband! He didn't do anything to oppose you!" A female Nord yelled. Her pleading cries sadly fell on deaf Altmer ears.
"Go back into the house, Hroggi! Or do you want our kids to become orphans... They want me because I choose to worship the true god of mankind, Talos!" The captive Nord male barked at Hroggi commanding her to go back inside.
The Thalmor justiciars didn't take kindly to his proud speak of Talos as one slapped the Nord male forcefully. The sound of breaking bones filled the air as the force of the impact probably broke the man's jaw.
"Silence barbaric savage! You did not abide by the white gold concordat, so you will face death." The Altmer responded with spite.
"Derngeir!" The female Nord yelled as she broke free from a few townspeople that held her back.
She swiftly snatched a woodcutter's axe from his sheath and charged the justiciar's. I spurred on my horse, seeing this as this wasn't going to end well, Serana however, she beat me to it as she shot a lightning bolt between the two parties. Making both the charging woman and the Altmerie soldiers look up, startled by the sudden explosion.
I quickly jumped off my horse and positioned myself in between the two parties before either could continue their hostilities.
"Say, how about we all just calm down a little. Does that sound like a good plan?" I said while unsheathing Nightbane, which runes glowed brightly. My eyes darted between the two parties looking for any sign of hostile behavior from either of them.
The woman was first to drop her weapon. The Altmer, however, weren't so compliant as they still all had their weapons at the ready.
"How about you guys, huh? The woman dropped her axe. How about you, fine gentleman? Care to resolve this peacefully. I am drained and Don't like to see innocent people die needlessly." So I said as I lowered Nightbane.
This action seemed to relax a particular elf, who also lowered his guard. This one seemed to wear a different armor as he was clad in black robes with golden lining. He motioned for his man to do the same, which they did luckily. I really wasn't itching for a fight, especially after fighting that God-awful dragon. My whole body was still sore from that encounter.
The Altmer seemed to be intrigued with me as he slowly circled around me and Serana, which by now had made her way over. He appeared to sift through the situation before he decided to speak up.
"Who might you be? To be so brave or foolish to interrupt official Thalmor ambassadors. When we are on official duties?" The Altmer spoke out with an authoritative tone.
"We are Dracar and Serana, and we just happened to pass by looking for a place to stay the night," I said calmly. Something inside me told me not to anger this high elf.
"Well met Dracar and Serana. My name is Eludrill. I would highly appreciate it if you two went on your way to seek shelter for the night. We incarcerated this man on suspicion of worshipping Talos, and we don't appreciate strangers meddling in our affairs. So why don't you two hurry along your own way. " Eludrill replied with a courteous tone. But his eyes looked at me with a threatening gaze.
I shook my head in defiance as I looked at him straight in the eye.
"Sorry, can't do that... I would like you to release that man. He has a wife and kids to take care of." I replied. "Surely, in times like these, you can understand how a family needs a father to protect them."
The Altmer didn't seem to like my act of defiance as he began to glare at me. Shaking his head in disapproval.
"It is a shame you two didn't just mind your own affairs..." Eludrill replied as lightning began to dance on his fingertips.
My eyes widened as I took a step back, bracing my shield for the impact of the bolt. The sound of a loud bang thundered through the night sky as it connected with my shield.
"Serana, handle the other guys. This one is mine!" I yelled out at Serana.
"Fool! We will hunt you for this!" Eludrill yelled as he charged me with an Elinor saber. I bashed his saber to the side with my shield and banged my head into his, which made him stumble back. I glanced over at Serana and saw she had the Thalmor soldiers running over the bridge. Before returning my attention back at the Altmer justiciar. He was gone from my vision. I cursed myself for taking my eyes off him as I was rewarded for my stupidity with a slash to my abdomen.
I locked his sword arm in with my shield as I kicked him back. Then, making him let go of his saber, I bashed him with my shield, which made him fall on his back.
After that, I walked over to him, pointing the tip of my sword at his head, glaring at him dangerously, as if to say don't you dare try anything.
"Don't you dare!" Serana yelled at him with lightning dancing around her fingers pointing at him. This remark made me look at his hands which had conjured up a firebolt.
I shook my head.
"Well, that's not very smart now, is it? So now hurry along and never bother these people again," I said as he hurried up onto his feet.
"This won't be the last you hear from us!" He yelled as he ran across the bridge.
I began to chuckle as I locked eyes with Serana.
"Well, we sure aren't making a lot of friends here in Skyrim. Of course, now we have the aldmerie dominion as enemies..." I laughed sheepishly, scratching the back of my head.
"Hey, this one is on you. You needed to be a hero again." Serana replied as she playfully nudged my shoulder.
After that, we turned our attention towards Hroggi which was holding her injured husband. She looked up at us with a thankful expression.
"Thank you a lot strangers, I would have lost my husband to those damned elves if it wasn't for you two-stepping in," Hroggi said as she stroked her husband's jaw, which made the man flinch.
I bent down on my knees as I concentrated my Magicka in my palms. They lit up with a bright shining light.
"If you would allow me, I might be able to lessen the pain a bit," I said sympathetically as I raised my hand to Derngeirs chin.
A soft sigh of relief left Derngeir's mouth as he looked up at me with a weak smile.
"Thank you stranger, how could we repay you?" Derngeir asked me.
"Well, we could use a place to stay the night. But, unfortunately, there are no inns nearby, and we have a long journey to go to Ivarstead. We would have ventured on, but alas, we are weary from our travels." I replied, hinting more to the dragon fight we had than at our journeys.
The man gave me a pained smile.
"You could stay with us for the night. We would be happy to have you guys," Derngeir replied before holding his jaw with a pained expression.
"You really should refrain from talking for a while. It needs to heal. But we will happily take on your offer." I replied as I gave the man a warm smile.
After Serana and I helped the two of them up, we followed the pair into their house. A warm hearth fire filled the house with its warmth. I breathe out a sigh of relief as I relaxed in a chair.
We drank and ate with the family for a bit before we excused ourselves from the table to retire for the night.
As Serana and I made ready for bed, I caught Serana looking at me repeatedly.
"What is it, Serana?" I asked her as I quirked my eyebrow at her, knowing that something is troubling her every time she kept looking at me.
She looked at the ground as she fidgeted in place a bit. She almost seemed a bit nervous, which I thought was odd.
"Well, there is something I haven't told you yet..."
{So guys, another chapter! What could it be that Serana wants to tell Dracar? Find that out in the next chapter.
Also, I would like to thanks a specific reader for giving me a few tips! English is sadly not my native language, so I struggle a bit with putting my intentions into writing. Luckily I have found good sources that can help me with that!
Also, like always, please leave a reply if you liked it and maybe a follow and favorite. They really brighten my day. And that way, I can see you guys enjoy it as well!
Anyways see you guys in the next chapter. I hope you are having a lovely day/night wherever you are, and take care!}
