Welcome back to the story. To answer some questions, age is the Year. Age is referring to the age of Konoha. So instead of saying for example 73 years after Konoha formed, I say age 73. The Uchiha massacre happened in year 59 of my story (Naruto is roughly 8 years old). So we are at the time where they are 12 years old now, age 64. The reason I went with the timeline the way I did was due to it making sense. Hashirama couldn't had been Hokage for more than 5-7 years. Tobirama couldn't had run Konoha for more than 10 years max. And we know the longest running Hokage is Hiruzen Sarutobi. Minato was Hokage for a year, if that. And Hiruzen took over again. It's speculated that Hiruzen ran the village for roughly 25-30 years in total. So going off of that I made my timeline. With that being said, enjoy the read.
Arc 1: First Real Mission (post arc)
Chapter 6: Treats and Tricks
Age: 64
Mito Uzumaki and Team SevenPlus went to the Hokage's Mansion for their D-Rank mission Report. It had been three days since the team returned from their mission in River Country.
Team SevenPlus went in to retrieve their mission but overheard yelling. "Old man I challenge you for seat of Hokage!" A squeaky voice yelled.
The voice made Naruto and Sasuke grab their ears to shut out the annoyance. Kakashi had not noticed as he was reading his usual book. Sakura and Mito were unfazed by it and opened the door to see a little boy and the Hokage.
The Hokage had face palmed and the little boy was pointing at the elder man. "I want that hat and I'll defeat you here and now to earn that hat!" The boy shouted. Each of the members of Team SevenPlus had different reactions to this. Sasuke and Naruto saw this as annoying. Sakura saw it as adorable, Kakashi viewed this as something getting in the way of a mission, and Mito viewed this with disgust. They then seen the boy attempt to run at the elderly Hokage. The boy tripped and fell on his scarf.
The little boy looked at the team in front of him. That girl! She's always getting picked on by the village. He thought. He looked at the Uchiha cousins. They're scary looking. Naruto narrowed his eyes at the young boy and the boy quickly pulled eye contact and looked at the tall man. His mask is weird. And that girl has a huge forehead. He continued thinking. He pointed at Mito and accused her, "hey! You tripped me! I was gonna defeat the Hokage and you stopped me!" The boy said as he ran up and tried to punch her.
He was stopped by Naruto who quickly reacted with his sharingan active now. He grabbed the little boy by the wrist. The redhead girl seen this and stopped him. "Naruto!" she yelled at him. She broke the grip and looked at Naruto. "I'm not staying here. Find me when we have a mission." Naruto said as he walked out. Sakura chased after Naruto leaving Sasuke, Mito, and Kakashi with the little boy.
"Tch." Sasuke said realizing Naruto left him to deal with Mito and this annoying brat.
"I didn't need your help!" The boy yelled at Mito taking Sasuke and Kakashi aback.
"It wasn't for you idiot!" She yelled back as she grabbed him by the shirt.
A man in black sunglasses and a black outfit walked in and seen the predicament. "Unhand him you vile creature! That's the honorable grandson of Lord Hokage!" He yelled.
Sasuke and Kakashi watched the events unfold with some interest. The honorable grandson watched as emotions changed on the girl's face. Yep! That's right! Now you're gonna put me down and walk away. The little boy thought.
"I don't care if he was his mother!" She yelled as a fist connected on the top of the honorable grandson's head. "Hokage isn't something you win by defeating the Hokage! Becoming Hokage means you've earned the love and respect of your peers and the people of the village." Mito Uzumaki stated proudly.
Everyone was shocked Mito said those words. They were mostly true after all. Sasuke knew those words definitely wasn't hers. "What the hell!" The man in black yelled.
Mito, in spite, used the jutsu that Akane Uchiha had told her not to use because it was unlady like. "SEXY JUTSU!" She yelled as a puff of smoke revealed a redhead bombshell that knocked the man out of his socks.
She's different! The little boy thought. "You're my new boss! The name's Konohamaru!" He introduced himself.
Mito sweat dropped at the 180 the boy took. "Say what now?" She questioned. Kakashi realized these antics would take up the reminder of the day. "Oh! My oven is open! I got to go close it!" Kakashi said as he disappeared from the room.
Sasuke realized that everyone had abandoned him with this situation and he slowly started to creep away.
"You're my boss now!" Konohamaru continued to say. "You're not like the rest!"
Mito was taken aback. "I'm no one's boss!" She yelled. She looked at the Hokage. "Hey old man, we're here for a mission." She stated.
The Hokage humorously chuckled, "hmm I don't know, I don't see anyone else." He said making Mito spin and realize everyone had left. "I do have a mission for just you if you'd accept it. Konohamaru needs to focus on his training, so if you help him I could get you 20 bowls of Ichiraku Ramen." He added.
Mito looked at the Hokage and then the boy. "No way! I'm a ninja! Not a babysitter!" She stated. She ran out of the office and the boy followed her. He had to be trained by this girl. If she wasn't like the rest, she wouldn't hold back.
{With Naruto}
Naruto was outside the Uchiha Compound Gates. He needed to clear his head some after the last mission. I had lost. There was nothing I could do. Would it had been like that during that night? Naruto thought to himself. He was so confident that he was strong enough to protect everyone around him, yet he failed to defeat the Blue Devil Shinobi, but Mito was able to get a single strike and break his mask. He remembered yesterday when Inoichi told Team SevenPlus the results of Mito's test.
Flashback
Inoichi Yamanaka walked in carrying a scroll. Team SevenPlus was called in to hear the readings and confirm what they knew.
"Mito Uzumaki was unconscious due to a Genjutsu attack. I had to go through various layers of Genjutsu to awaken her and view her mind." The head of T explained. He took a breath, "however, there was parts unable to view as it was locked away behind an even stronger Genjutsu that is near unbreakable." He added.
"I believe the Genjutsu was to hid the identity of the Blue Devil Masked Shinobi. What I've uncovered was...
"Dammit, she's getting faster!" He spoke aloud. He stood back up. His mask was cracked revealing the right side of his face, a pasty white face. Mito had stopped charging in once she seen the *}
"%#\" she stuttered as she realize she couldn't talk anymore.
"You're the first person to see #]{ since I left my village all those years ago. Now I got to make sure you forget, so you don't go blabbering and ruin my plans." The Blue Devil said to the girl. "*•%\!=\=~!" He called out as Mito soon collapsed to the ground. "A souvenir."
Yamanaka explained those events in detail. Everyone was shocked that the most important details were locked away.
Naruto was furious. He was angry that he couldn't do nothing. He walked up to the gate that was now unable to open to anyone who didn't possess Uchiha blood due to Akane Uchiha making a seal for it to keep outsiders out.
He walked in the deserted area and looked for the Uchiha compound library. He hunted for something that could help his training. Something that would make him strong enough to defeat anyone. He entered the old Uchiha library. He went to the Elite Jonin section to find Jutsu. He picked up three books and put them in his book bag and headed to the home where it happened. He would train rigorously there to enhance his skills.
{With Mito}
After leaving the Hokage Residence she walked to her favorite Ramen restaurant. As she was walking, she got the impression someone was following her.
She went with her gut as she turned around to see a shrub that she didn't see when she walked past just a few seconds ago. That wasn't there before. Or was it? She had thought. She shrugged her shoulders and kept on her journey.
Around five minutes later, she once again felt another presence lurking behind her. Again she turned around and noticed the fence was now weird looking as the wood had turned sideways. That's when she realized that someone was behind it.
"Hey, get out of that poor disguise!" She said. She watched as the boy from earlier appeared. She sighed as he began to talk.
"You're very skilled boss!" He complimented.
Mito already getting tired of this sigh again. "Listen, what do you want? I'm trying to go and enjoy my day, y'know?" She pointed at the small ramen stand.
"I just want you to train me, boss." Konohamaru stated. Mito sighed and motioned for him to join her at the ramen stand.
When they sat down, the aroma of the ramen captivated both of them. That's when Teuchi appeared and seen the honorable grandson. "Hello Mito Uzumaki-San, Honorable Grandson!" He said as he waved at both.
Mito was taken aback by this greeting as usually Teuchi greets her as if she was his daughter. She looked at Konohamaru, who was pouting from being called that. After that the old ramen chef got their orders down.
Teuchi walked back with their orders after a few minutes. Konohamaru decided to break the silence. "Y'know, grandpa says that you are going to be a powerful Shinobi."
Mito was baffled at that statement. Old man thinks that, of me? She thought. "Well he knows what will happen for sure then dattebane!" She exclaimed happily.
The young Sarutobi tried once again to ask her to train him. "Pretty please be my boss and train me up." Mito looked at the boy in the eyes. Those eyes were like hers when she had met Naruto and Akane Uchiha. The familiarity resonated with her.
"I can't make any promises about that, but I can teach you a nifty little Jutsu I learned to become a genin." The redheaded Uzumaki girl stated.
Konohamaru jumped up with excitement and hugged the girl. He quickly broke it off and blushed.
{With Naruto}
Naruto looked at one of the books he grabbed. Kuton: The Forbidden Release, Naruto read. Dark Release huh? I haven't heard of it ever. The book looks older than the Hokage himself. Naruto thought to himself. He looked for an author of the book and found the name, "Ind-India Otasfuki?" Naruto questioned. The author's name probably faded a while ago and now all that remains is the reminisce of its author.
Naruto filed the book open to page one.
Kuton (Ku= being the suffix of Kurai (Dark); Ton= being Escape/Free or in other terms, Release. This element of Dark is impossible for any mere human to use. You will need to possess the knowledge this book, the Sharingan, and the ability to connect with Nature. Once you have these things this style will be accessible to you.
Naruto stopped to think about what he read. Th-this could be how he exterminated our clan. Does he have access to this power? The half blooded Uchiha questioned. He continued to read the book.
Warning: the jutsus in this book are extremely dangerous to the user and the opponent. These jutsus change you mentally. To even write this down, I used my Mangekyo Sharingan to put myself in a Genjutsu to allow me to write this. Using these will slowly deteriorate your mind. The opponent who gets hit with this will be hurt. Depends on the output of the power you use. The further you stray from your light, the worse it is for the enemy. I used this on my brother, Asura, recently. It took his left arm clean off. I regret it, but after the Genjutsu wears off, I'll probably be happy that it happened. Don't let yourself fall to this Kuton. I hope you only use this in life or death moments my descendants.
Naruto reads the information with great interest. Mangekyo Sharingan? He thinks. Is that another form of our eyes? Is that what Itachi possessed? He asked himself. He saves the idea to learn about that later on.
Jutsu One: Kuton: Dark Soul Inferno
This Jutsu makes Violet flames that burns an enemy until they are destroyed completely. Similar to Amaterasu, however, these flames are weaker than its Black Flame counterpart. This Jutsu takes a lot of chakra.
Jutsu Two: Kuton: Two Spiraling Spheres of Hades
After seeing my brother's Jutsu, Amenomihashira. That Jutsu led me to create this Jutsu. The Two Spiraling Spheres of Hades mimics the Amenomihashira, but the two orbs make up for the size of Ashura's Jutsu. The collision costed us our hands. Ashura is practically defeated now. But I am too now.
Naruto sees the instructions below to form the jutsu. He shivers at the thought of the jutsu costing him his hands. "This will be enough, for now." He stated. He puts the two books away in Fugaku's desk.
Naruto goes outside and attempts to use the first Kuton Jutsu. He runs through the hand signs and attempts to use the Jutsu, "Dark Style: Dark Soul Inferno!" He yells out. He blows nothing but smoke and purple sparks. He starts to cough and falls to his knees. Dammit! He berated himself.
He thinks back to the instructions: You will need to possess the knowledge this book, the Sharingan, and the ability to connect with Nature.
Naruto finally stopped coughing, speaks aloud to himself, "the ability to connect with nature? What does that even mean?" Naruto clenches his fist in a ball. His nails dig into the skin of his palms drawing some blood.
Naruto remembered something Itachi had once said during dinner at Fugaku's house. "One can't simple master any jutsu even with a Sharingan. You can copy it, however learning it is simply different. We Uchiha can learn the Jutsu faster, but sometimes there's a missing element we are not seeing. Despite that, you will make progress if you practice. Just remember to be patient." Naruto grinded his teeth.
"That bastard!" He yelled. He stood back up and walked away. I will master those jutsus. My family and friends will never be threatened again! He thought.
{With Mito}
"...that's the Shadow Clone Jutsu?" Konohamaru asked as he saw two versions of Mito Uzumaki. One face palmed and the other rolled her eyes.
"Yes Baka!" The two voices yelled. "The Shadow Clone Jutsu makes a solid clone that can perform tasks or be a sparring partner." One of the Mito Uzumakis stated. "They also help when you're feeling lonely." The other claimed.
Konohamaru nodded. He attempted to make the Shadow Clone and a piss poor version appeared. Mito laughed at the display.
"It'll take time to master, but you got to be careful too! This apparently takes up a bunch of chakra to produce, so try once every four hours." Mito warned. She had remembered the explanation of the tree walking exercise that Kakashi had taught them. Kakashi had informed Team SevenPlus that Mito has more chakra than everyone and even Lord Hokage. So, while making shadow clones is easy, tree walking and water walking are still a difficult task.
Konohamaru nodded at the explanation given to him. He would master this and impress his boss. She will have to take me as a student if I master this! He mentally said to himself.
{Meanwhile in a Bar in Iwagakure}
A teen girl was at a table sipping on a glass of sake. She had came here to meet a contact apparently. The masked man she had met in Claw Country informed her of an exchange of information happening at this bar.
"Remember, you will hand this package to a man known as the Demon."
She patiently waited until she saw a man bump into a blonde woman. "Watch where you're going bub!" The woman had yelled. Her black hair companion started to tug the blonde woman's green overcoat.
"Yeah yeah. I'm apologize Slug." The man said as he walked past her. He sat at the table with the girl. "You're a little young, are you the hand?" He asked.
The girl looked at the man. He resembled a demon with those sharp teeth. "I assume you're Demon? Here's your package." She said as she slid her package to the man. The man handed her his package and the two separated.
As she walked out the pub, she decided to turn down an alley way. She then ran into a man.
"In a rush are we?" He questioned as he offered a hand to the girl. She didn't accept it and dusted herself off.
She looked at this man, he was wearing a blue mask in the shape of a Devil's face. "Yea, some of us have lives to live." She said with an attitude. She brushed past the man's shoulder and she felt someone grab her.
"You should be more polite...", he said in a more serious voice. "Byoki no Te-San." The girl looked back at him with wide eyes. Yet another masked individual knows who she is. "Ah, I see you understand the predicament you're currently in." He said in a more relaxed voice.
"The man you just met, Zabuza of the Mist, is currently trying to raise funds for his cause. I want to know what was in the package he gave you." The man demanded.
"I am employed by my boss and cannot give that information out." She stated.
"I see, well then Keiko, what is your price?" The Blue Masked Devil asked.
This chapter is shorter than the last five, and that's mainly as it's setting up the new arc. As we see, Naruto is turning towards the path of power hungry to defend his loved ones and Mito is slowly gaining traction to becoming strong in her own way. The Blue Masked Devil is now intervening in other manners. Zabuza and a green cloak wearing blonde made a quick cameo as well. Anyways I'll see you in the next one which starts our new arc Taki/Iwa Peace Treaty Renewal Arc!

"... and to our last order of business..." a powerful voice spoke, "it would appear that Konoha does have the Nine Tails sealed into a host." The voice stated. "Our reports say that the host performed a C Rank mission a month into being a genin. The host is a female and is teamed with..." the man looked at another man with dark eyes and dark hair. "Sasuke and Naruto Uchiha." The astral projections of the team looked at the man whose Sharingan spun to life. The group spiraled out of control.
"Hmm, two more of your kind is annoying hmm." A young man stated.
"Whoa, I thought you wiped your whole clan out. Leaving two behind?" A giant fish man questioned.
"If they become as notorious as you, they'd fetch a good price on their heads." A man wearing a face cover added.
"Screw your money, they would make great puppets with that Kekkei Genkai." Another voice added.
"ENOUGH!" The powerful voice stated. "Why Itachi spared them is irrelevant. Itachi and Kisame, your mission will be to retrieve the Nine Tails. We will wait until the time is right. Get your information on the Jinchuriki to know how to defeat it." The man with rippled eyes commented. "This shall not be a problem with your clansmen. If it is, end them. Everyone may now leave."
After everyone had left, the man in the Orange mask looked at the man with rippled eyes. "I thought you said Itachi had slaughtered the entire clan." The rippled eyed man questioned.
"Nagato, it would appear Itachi was soft and couldn't finish the job." The orange masked man replied.
"Well Madara, what's more is there is an enemy who is unknown to the criminal underworld. The Blue Masked Devil." Nagato spoke as he pulled out a photo of the man.
"And what of this man?" Madara asked. He looked at the photo of the man. A blue mask in the form of the devil with intricate designs around, likely being seals, engraved on it.
Nagato took a moment to catch his breath. The stale air of the cave entering his lungs. "This man defeated Kakashi Hatake with ease and was only defeated by a combination attack from Hatake, Might Gai, and the Uchiha cousins." Nagato replied. "If reports our to be believed by our spies in the trade world. It's highly unlikely that the Konoha team would lose and keep their lives."
"Do you want to recruit him?" Madara asked. Madara had let Nagato do what he wanted with the Akatsuki, as long as the end goal was reached, it didn't matter.
"Yes. Our spy has informed us that he was headed towards Earth Country. I will send Hidan and Kakuzu to recruit the man." Nagato answered.
Madara nodded. How interesting. This man is near where I just sent that inferior girl. Is he watching my moves as well? If that's the case, I'll have to handle this masked man. The ancient Uchiha thought. If a man more powerful than the Copy Ninja Kakashi Hatake, how had he not known? And he too wore a mask.
Nagato watched as Madara disappeared from this plane of reality. Wondering what the masked man will do behind his back.
