Welcome back to the story, in the last one we seen the origins of Keiko. Her motives are pretty straightforward, kill all Uchiha. How will Naruto and Sasuke combat this particular foe? Can our heroes defeat an older more experienced Sharingan weilder? Enjoy the read!

Arc 2: Taki/Iwa Peace Treaty Arc

Chapter 8: Two Jinchuriki Meet!

Age 64

"That's a fresh one! Some new names been added." He stated.

She flipped through the pages and gasped. N-no way. There's more... she thought to herself. "How can there be two more Uchiha?" Keiko asked in disbelief. "H-how can that be? Itachi slaughtered them all." She was confused looking at the new bingo book entry.

Name: Naruto and Sasuke Uchiha

She was flabbergasted at the new issue of the Bingo Book. "They're just Genin, how strong could they be..."

1 week Later In Konoha

"Fire Style: Twin Flame Jutsu!" The Uchiha cousins called out as two flames shot from their mouths towards their adversary Kakashi.

Kakashi had used a mud wall to block the fire style attack. These two are getting even harder to defend against. He thought. Naruto and Sasuke had trained hard. Today was a training exercise. Naruto and Sasuke would team up this time to fight Kakashi while Sakura and Mito practiced shuriken throwing and chakra control. Sakura and Mito would team up the next time around and Naruto and Sasuke would focus on chakra control.

The Hatake was pretty proud of himself. He managed to take four students and train them effectively and efficiently. He had taken his eye off the ball as Naruto and Sasuke rushed him from front and back.

The two boys threw a kick at the Copy Ninja only for Kakashi to turn into a log. The timer went off and the training session was now over. "That was a good session boys. Your teamwork has come a lot further now too." Kakashi complimented.

The two boys nodded. "Thanks Sensei." The two said in unison. Kakashi and the two Uchiha went to where Mito and Sakura were practicing their chakra control.

There's more flowers here than I remember. Kakashi thought to himself. He shook the thought off and looked at his team. Sakura and Mito were practicing water running. He saw Naruto and Sasuke run in and join them.

"Alright bring it in." Kakashi ordered. Hiruzen had given Kakashi a diplomatic mission. The team huddled around their Sensei. "Okay, we have a new mission. This one is an important mission and there won't be much fighting. Instead, it's a diplomatic mission. This will be good chance to learn for all of you." He told them.

All four genin made a groaning noise. "Listen, this is important because one as Uchiha, the last of your clan relies on you both. And you will need to go on these style missions one day. Sakura, you are from a civilian family and usually the most diplomatic come from those families, plus you could gain a seat on the council. As for you Mito, the Hokage is the most diplomatic person in the village. You will have to be smart and wise. This will help with manners and show you what you need to learn." Kakashi stated.

All the genin nodded. That seemed about right, was the general idea they were all sharing. "Where are we going for this mission Kakashi-Sensei?" Sakura asked.

Kakashi answered, "We are going to be protection detail for the leader of Takigakure. They are renewing their peace treaty and this time the signing takes place in Iwagakure."

Mito wondered why two other villages would need their presences. Sasuke and Naruto tried to think why there even was a treaty there in the first place.

"Oh okay, Iwa use the treaty to traverse through Taki to get to the Land of Iron to get their weapons made. And Taki uses the treaty for protection as its allies with Iwa and Konoha, so if anything happened to it, they would be safe." Sakura deduced perfectly.

Kakashi nodded. "Thats precisely right. They employ us to protect their leader because they also have a treaty, which Iwa has already been made aware of." He added.

Sasuke and Naruto nodded. Mito still was confused. "Didn't we just get out of a war with Iwa like before I was born?" She asked. She paid attention in class only when the wars were brought up. She was curious for the knowledge as the Hokage should know about all the wars.

Kakashi nodded as well, but Naruto took over. "Yeah that's true Mito-Chan, however, we are on neutral terms with Iwagakure after the war. Once Lord Fourth battled and defeated 1,000 of their men, they gave up and ceased attacking us. Now that the Yondaime is dead, they have no hard feelings about losing too much anymore." Naruto answered.

Mito nodded understandingly. Sakura looked in awe as Naruto used his deductive reasoning to answer Mito's question. Sasuke just grunted. He didn't know too much about the wars as he didn't care.

"Our next hit time will be 7 in the morning tomorrow with enough gear packed to last us five days." Kakashi informed them. The group gave a "Hai" as an understanding and dispersed. Naruto and Sasuke walked home and Mito and Sakura went to the flower shop to see Ino.

Mito and Sakura entered the flower shop and seen the blonde girl. "Hiya Ino!" Mito yelled across the store.

Ino rolled her eyes, "what do you want now?" She asked the two girls.

Sakura also rolled her eyes. Ino and her haven't been friends since year two in the academy when they had a small fight about the Uchiha boys. Now they have a rivalry with one another.

"I need someone to watch over my flowers while I'm gone." The redhead said. Ino nodded. This had become an every once awhile occurrence. Mito would go on a mission longer than three days and Ino would help her flowers if need. "I should be gone for about five days." Mito told her.

"Yeah, I'll watch your flowers for you. What did you bring forehead for?" The young Yamanaka girl asked.

Mito laughed, "Y'know, you guys used to be close. What happened?" She curiously asked.

Sakura now knew what this was. An intervention?! She thought.

Ino was taken aback by this development. "Nothing happened now beat it!" Ino yelled.

Sakura agreed, "let's just leave." She said. She went to grab Mito's arm to pull her away and Mito defiantly stood her ground.

"No, there's an issue that needs to be solved." Mito stated. Ino and Sakura knew they both couldn't overpower the girl so they gave in.

"A few years ago..." Sakura started.

"We got into a fight over who would be with the Uchiha boys." Ino said.

"We said we couldn't share them both and wanted to be selfish and have both to just one of us." Sakura stated. Looking back at it, it felt dumb that they fought over something like that.

"That's dumb." Mito spoke out loud voicing what Sakura thought.

"Yeah, it kinda is. Besides with both of you on their team I'm pretty sure you'll end up with them." Ino said.

Mito blushed hard. Me... with Naruto? She thought. Her face matched her hair. "What! No I wouldn't!" Mito yelled at Ino.

Ino and Sakura laughed, "C'mon Mito, everyone knows you like Naruto." Sakura stated. Ino nodded in agreement.

"Nuh uh!" Mito shook her head defiantly. Mito would never budge on this. If Naruto found out, he would hate me. She thought.

"So, speaking of them..." Ino started, her smile turned devious, "how are they? Did you see them shirtless?" Ino asked.

Sakura wondered what it would be like to see the Uchiha boys shirtless. Mito blushed even harder for she has seen them both shirtless once before.

Ino picked up on this, "so, you must have Mito. The way your face is darker than your hair reveals that." Ino stated.

Mito runs out the shop. Sakura and Ino laugh, "that was fun. Perhaps... perhaps we should do it again sometime." Sakura offered Ino.

Ino looked at Sakura in shock. She... she's trying to be my friend again? She thought. "Yeah, maybe forehead." Ino answered. Sakura rolled her eyes as she left the flower shop.

With Naruto

Naruto and Sasuke arrived home and ate dinner. Naruto had informed his mother of the new mission. He was confused why she started acting the way she did.

Flashback

"What do you mean your next mission is in Iwagakure?" His mom asked.

Naruto and Sasuke looked confused, "well, Kakashi-Sensei said our next mission is defending Takigakure's leader during the peace treaty renewal." Sasuke answered. What is she not telling us? He thought.

"Ka...Kakashi... Kakashi approved of this?" She asked with a slightly angry tone. Both boys had never seen her look like this. "I'll talk to Kakashi, you boys don't need to be over there!" She said.

Naruto and Sasuke got defensive quick. "No mom! We have to go out and do that mission!" Naruto exclaimed.

"Yeah, this is an important Diplomatic mission that could even benefit the Leaf Village!" Sasuke added. Naruto nodded at his cousin.

"NO! You're both not going there! I don't care! I'll use clan politics to stop it from happening!" She warned them.

Both boys were surprised. Naruto's mother never acted out like this. Even when Itachi had slaughtered the whole clan. This is strange. Naruto said in his head.

"Why can't we go!" Naruto demanded to know. His mother put her hands on the table and stood up. "Because I am your mother and I forbid it!" She yelled. "Go to your rooms and stay in there until I deem it necessary to come out!" She yelled as her Three Tomoe Sharingan spun to life.

Naruto and Sasuke ran through the small home to their rooms. Akane sat down and let a few tears drop from her eyes.

Flashback end

Naruto was sitting at a table in his room trying to figure out what happened. He heard a knock at his door and his mother opened it.

"How dare you?!" Naruto heard Akane Uchiha yell at the visitor. "You know damn well my son shouldn't ever be allowed inside Iwagakure!" She continued yelling and Naruto couldn't make it out as it wasn't as loud as before.

I shouldn't eavesdrop, but I want to know more. Naruto thought to himself. He opened the door and peaked down the stairs to see his Sensei and mother speaking.

"With all due respect my lady, I think Naruto is strong enough to hold his own. Besides, it's not like they know the truth about him." Kakashi stated. Naruto wondered what it meant.

"I don't care. It's too risky. First Obito dies there, then the war takes a bunch of my friends and family, the. finally starting Iwa's hatred of my husband, and now you want my son to go there?" She listed off the events.

Kakashi sighed. He missed Obito and Naruto reminds him of his old friend. "Yes, all that is true, but that was a time of war. This is for a peace treaty renewal. This diplomatic mission would benefit the whole team. Mito wants to become Hokage, Sakura could use the skills to benefit herself, Sasuke will need them once he becomes clan head, Naruto will be supporting Sasuke and Mito if anything were to happen." Kakashi explained. Naruto started to hope Kakashi could make his mother change her mind.

"No, it's too risky," Akane stated. "If they find out of Naruto's heritage, there could be another war." She bluntly told Kakashi. Naruto was confused. How can my heritage cause a war? He thought to himself.

"Akane-Sama, I promise on my life to protect Naruto and Sasuke. If something were to happen, I'd pull out immediately to save us." Kakashi told her to make her comfortable.

Akane started to tear up, "I just... I just... I just can't afford to lose him too!" She said as the tears flowed like a river. Naruto felt bad now. He knew she was just scared of what could happened.

"I would never let him down. He was like a father to me as well. Protecting Naruto, that's just what big brothers do." Kakashi said with an eye smile. Akane gave the man a hug. Naruto was confused. How was Kakashi like a big brother?

"You promise Kakashi?" She asked the silver haired Jonin. He nodded. "Then I'll allow them to go." She stated. Kakashi eye smiled. He was glad Akane was going to let him take the Uchiha's.

Naruto quickly hurried to his room, not wanting to get spotted by his mother. Something happened in Iwa and it has to do with my father, which I know nothing about. Naruto thought to himself.

Naruto's Journal

Age 64

After listening to my mother and Kakashi-sensei speak I have to make a name of all the major men who took part in the Third Great Shinobi War. So far, I have a few names:

The Fourth Hokage, Minato Namikaze

- This one is highly unlikely. If he even had a son, people would've known by now. This has about 10% chance of happening. We only have blue eyes in common.

Chief of Police, Fugaku Uchiha

- This one is plausible due to our confusing relationship. I would give this one a 50% chance, however it wouldn't explain how I'm half Uchiha and have Blue eyes, however, looking underneath the underneath.

Sannin, Orochimaru

- This one just seems wrong. He is old enough to be my grandfather. On top of that, he's a rogue ninja. Who isn't dead... or it hasn't been confirmed yet. I say 5%.

The Lumberjack, Akimitsu Senju

- This is the last notable name I have for this war. Cousin of Tsunade Senju, and able to use wood style like the Shodaime. He was the fourth strongest man in the village. I don't know how likely he is to be my father tho. This would explain the hatred I received from the clan. It would also explain my chakra nature being perfectly balanced. Likelihood being 65%.

The Blue Devil Shinobi

- He wanted to test me out. He seems like he could be old enough to be a father, but without knowing his identity, there's no telling for sure. He is a wildcard. Next time I see that man, I will have to explore avenues of approach to discover his identity. Likelihood unknown.

Naruto closed the journal. When he returns from this next mission, he would need to research more war hero's in the Third Great Shinobi War.

The Next Day

Naruto and Team SevenPlus met at the gate. Akane had apologized to the Uchiha boys and told them to get moving so they're not late. Kakashi was the only one yet to show.

Around thirty minutes later, Kakashi appeared. "YOURE LATE!" the two girls of the team yelled at the man. Sasuke rolled his eyes and Naruto was annoyed by his sensei's habit of being late.

"When I become Hokage, I'm making it illegal to be late!" Mito yelled at the man. Kakashi shrugged. "Let's just get moving. Remember this is a diplomatic mission. Behave yourself like a professional Shinobi." Kakashi lectured the group.

The group walked their way through the Land of Fire. It was a fine summer morning and the birds were chirping and the leaves were bright green. Mother Nature was just amazingly beautiful in the Land of Fire.

Is this what it means to hold the power of nature? Naruto thought. Naruto keeps theorizing on the Dark Style, attempting to figure it out. The power it was said to have would be useful in the future.

"Naruto..." Sasuke whispered over at the other raven haired boy.

Naruto broken from his thoughts looked up. "Hello Sasuke, what's up?" He replied as they kept moving forward.

"Why did your mom change her mind?" He asked. Naruto was still trying to piece that together as well.

"I don't know... I overheard Kakashi-Sensei and mother speaking though. Apparently it has to do with my father." Naruto stated.

Sasuke's eyes went wide. His father? He thought quickly. Naruto looked at him and nodded. "Yeah, that's what I thought too. I'm curious to see what Iwagakure is like." Naruto spoke out loud.

"Me too! Do you think there will be Ramen there!?" Mito asked her friend. He sighed and then laughed, the group joined him as well.

"It's not funny!" She yelled back at the team.

With Keiko (from beginning of Chapter 7)

Keiko kept running. She wouldn't be found by that blue masked man. She had her orders and needed to give this to the Orange masked man. Too many men in masks! She thought to herself.

She hid behind a corner. After a moment passes, she tries to regain her breath. "You're fast." The same voice from the Blue Devil Shinobi stated. She turned and looked horrified at the man.

"Yes, I'm pretty fast myself. As for that folder, hand it to me." He stated. Keiko's Mangekyo appeared.

How interesting? A Mangekyo only in the right eye. He thought to himself. "How about you deactivate that and hear me out?" He asked.

She heeded his words. If this man wanted her dead, she would be dead already. "I need to know what the Akatsuki are doing. That folder has whatever information that I could use." The Blue Devil said.

Before she could say or do anything, they heard another set of voices. "You think bluely over here could be a nice sacrifice to Jashin?" A man with white slicked back hair asked his partner.

"No, I think he'll fetch a good price instead though." The man wearing a face cover stated.

Keiko looked at them and sen the exact same cloak that Tobi was wearing. The Blue Devil looked at them and knew this was trouble. "Gentleman, I believe you're intruding on my mission. I would greatly appreciate it if you'd leave." The Blue Devil told the two new men.

"Kakuzu, I think imma kill him." The man said as he pulled his scythe from his back.

"Hidan, our mission was to recruit him, however, I don't think he'll accept." Kakuzu told his partner.

The Blue Devil jumped back to make some space between them, "what is in it for someone like me?" he asked the two.

"Well, the leader can give you anything you want." Hidan stated. Kakuzu nodded.

Keiko was glad they arrived. They had separated the Blue Devil from whatever it was Tobi wanted in this folder. "I don't deal with false promises." The voice broke Keiko from her own thoughts. She seen the defiance from the Blue Devil.

"That's unfortunate because now we have to kill you." Kakuzu said to the man. They both got into fighting stances and looked at the Blue Devil. "Girl, Tobi will arrive for that folder soon. Get out of here." Kakuzu stated. Keiko got up and ran.

"I can't wait to kill this asshole!" Hidan yelled in joy. Kakuzu sighed.

"Now just remember, I didn't want to do this." The Blue Devil told them. He rushed in and punched Kakuzu.

With Naruto

"Welcome to our village Copy Ninja Kakashi and friends." A man says to the team. "My name is Shibuki and I'm the current leader of the Hidden Waterfall Village." He introduces himself.

"Thank you for waiting outside for us. Now, what can we do to be of service during this meeting for the renewal of the Waterfall/Rock peace contract?" Kakashi asks.

As Shibuki was about to answer, a girl with orange eyes and teal hair walked in, "Shibuki!" She yelled. Then she noticed the guest in the room. "My apologies Konoha ninja." She said as she bowed down.

"It's not an issue at all." Kakashi stated. The rest of the Genin looked at this girl. They all wondered who this was.

"I'm sorry about Fu. She only has me as everyone dislikes her in this village." Shibuki stated.

She's just like me! Mito thought. Everyone looked back at Mito. They all shared her thoughts. Mito's and Fu's eyes lock on each other.

She's just like me? Fu questioned in her head. Chomei certainly thinks so. Child I already told you, that girl has the Kyubi inside her! Her beast screamed at her. Fu broke eye contact and walked up to the group.

"Welcome to Takigakure, want a tour?" She offers. The Genin don't know what to think until Kakashi gives a nod.

"Sure. By the way I'm Naruto." Naruto introduces and the group leave to explore Takigakure.

Kakashi and Shibuki get to business. "You see, Iwa and Taki's relationship has always been about security. We allow them to cross through our lands and we don't have to worry about Iwa attacking our village for goods." Shibuki tells the Copy Ninja.

"Okay, sounds great. Where's the issue coming from?" Kakashi asked. Shibuki nodded. He had heard of Kakashi's intellect.

"Well, Iwagakure apparently have a dealer that brings weapons in now. The issue is, that was the main reason they wanted a treaty. So, they could pass through our lands and get to the Land of Iron." Shibuki stated.

Kakashi started to get an uneasy feeling. "Okay, so what would be the problem if you guys just didn't renew the treaty?" He asked.

"We are a minor nation compared to Iwagakure and Konohagakure. If said treaty isn't renewed, then another great nation or Iwagakure themselves would take our tailed beast." Shibuki stated.

"I feel like your village would be happy to do without the Jinchuriki though, no?" Kakashi curiously asked.

"That's the thing, she is a precious person to me." Shibuki said and now Kakashi knew that the Jinchuriki was...

With TeamSevenPlus

"Fu! This place is awesome!" Mito yelled out. The group was at a smaller waterfall and pond. Fu had showed them around town, but this was her place to think about life.

"Yeah, it's where I go when I want to think about stuff." She replied.

Naruto and Sasuke observed everything around them. They noticed a sound from the waterfall. Sakura was walking around the pond with Mito and Fu. Fu looked and noticed that the Uchiha cousins noticed the hidden cave.

"Yeah, that's my hiding spot," she informed them. The team looked at the girl puzzled. "I hide there when the villagers get drunk. They don't like me very much." She stated.

Mito understood this wholeheartedly. She too experienced such events years ago. They've slowed down with time, but she remembers being beat and treated like trash.

Sakura and the Uchiha cousins went to explore the cave hidden by the small waterfall. Fu turned to Mito and spoke, "you're like me. You have the Nine Tailed Fox sealed in you."

Mito's eyes went wide, "how did you know that?!" She asked alarmed.

"Your Bijuu didn't tell you?" Fu asked.

Mito looked at her puzzled. "I didn't know they talk. I have only had two interactions with the Kyubi. And it just growled at me for the most part." Mito answered.

Fu was surprised. Her tailed beast had told her the tales of the other tailed beasts but to hear it from someone else. Wow. "So, what's it like to be a... jinchuriki in Konoha?" Fu asked.

Mito's puzzled look turned to that of sadness, "well, it's like you said. The villagers don't like me much either. I was an outcast," she started to smile, "until Naruto came in and became my friend. He really helped me with everything. I owe him my life." Mito answered.

Fu knew what was happening here, "ohhhh, so, you and Naruto, huh?" She asked in a suggestive tone.

Mito Uzumaki turned red. "No! We are just friends!" She yelled.

Fu whistled, "so that means he's on the market?" Mito started to chase her and Fu ran laughing.

The two girls understood each other. A friendship was formed here between Jinchuriki. What they didn't know is what lies ahead of them when they travel to Iwagakure.

Just a world building chapter here today. Next chapter you can expect some action. As you can see I made Sakura and Ino start to mend their relationship instead of in the Chunin Exams as I got bigger things planned for that and that match serves no purpose there. Post Credit Scene

Hidan and Kakuzu sat tied up together. "I hate you." Kakuzu told his partner.

"Fuck you too Kakuzu!" Hidan yelled back.

In front of them was the Blue Devil Shinobi. "I told you I didn't want to do this." He stated. "You made the girl leave, but that's okay. I didn't really need her. You two will suffice." He told them.

"We aren't going to tell you nothing." Kakuzu said calmly. Hidan was angry. He couldn't believe this guy beat both of them.

"I think you will." The masked man stated. He lifted his Blue masked and a glowing eye met there's. "Tell me of the Akatsuki's plans." He ordered.

Kakuzu and Hidan fell into a trance and followed the orders. "The Akatsuki is formed of S Rank Shinobi. We serve one called Pain. He has us do missions to increase the finances of the group, recruit more missing nins, and overall increase the chances of getting all the Tailed Beast to take over the world." Kakuzu answered.

The Blue Devil nodded. "I appreciate your help Kakuzu, I do believe it's best to leave Iwagakure now." He told the pair.

The two shook off the Genjutsu and realized what happened. "We're so screwed." Hidan stated.
