When a person awakes, most wish it was of their own volition; the birds chirping after a night of peaceful rest, leaving them energized and ready to take on the day with positivity.
They wish for the peaceful silence to gradually pass until awareness slowly overtakes them and allows their mind and body to wake; however, this was not the case for Iza, it hardly was for the last few days, but this time, this was the hardest.
Iza awoke suddenly, and immediately she felt everything. Her entire body was a physical mess, and her mind drowned in incoherent chaos while a faint feeling of nausea hovered around her; combined with the splitting headache and buzzing in her ears, Iza felt the worst she'd ever been.
Despite feeling like crap, Iza slowly blinked her eyes but immediately closed them. She flinched as the debris covering her face stung her sclera. Iza silently hissed in pain before trying again; it was painful, but she managed to open them enough to see the fuzzy ceiling.
Sighing, Iza decided to stretch but regretted it as soreness radiated through her, and the feeling of the hard floor beneath her body only increased the dull aches. She lay motionless as the pain passed and stared up at the dimly lit ceiling. Annoyance filled her; Iza couldn't remember what happened before she passed out.
For several minutes she stayed that way, trying and failing to brainstorm what could have led to her body's state; eventually, she gave up. The soreness and blurry vision were too much as Iza decided she didn't want to face whatever happened and felt sleeping was the best option.
She took a deep breath and closed her eyes. A moment passed before she felt the threads of her consciousness slowly slipping away as the world continually faded. Iza was nearly gone when someone called out. "Iza! Wake up, please!"
Instantly Iza's eyes shot open, and her pupils darted around as she grimaced at the dirt irritating her eyes. She listened carefully for the voice but after a few moments heard nothing. She groaned and thought she must be imagining things, then closed her eyes again.
"Iza? Iza, can you hear me?" the voice shouted and became more apparent as the ringing in her ears slowly disappeared. Iza peeked open her eyelid and grumbled before being startled as something cool touched her exposed skin.
Ignoring the painful crick in her neck, Iza tilted her head to the left and saw the outline of a silver hand resting on her upper arm; her movements caused a feminine voice to cheer. "She's moving!"
Iza furrowed her brow and followed the hand to its source, where she saw a darkened figure and two gold lights staring back. She squinted, studying the person, and attempted to call out; her voice produced a rough squeak.
Another deep voice addressed the first two. "I don't think she can speak."
Surprised by the voices, Iza's gaze traveled upward, then her blood ran cold. Above the familiar gold eyes of Inox were two pairs of eyes glowing purple and red. Instantly Iza's memory returned, the fight with Freddy, the anger and reaction she had, the confrontation, and the endo.
The endo, those were the eye colors of the endos. Adrenaline surged through her. Iza tried to use her right arm to sit up but immediately fell back down as waves of stabbing pain shot through her arm. She screamed, but a raspy croak escaped instead.
Iza recoiled and cradled her arm before using her legs and left arm to scoot away. Her reaction startled the others. "Iza!" the first voice panicked. "Iza, calm down!"
The voices only fueled her terror as Iza continued to push away; suddenly, her back hit the wall, and she started hyperventilating.
Hoarse breathing sounded as Iza's chest heaved; in between breaths, Iza repeated something like 'edo.' Each huff became more difficult as Iza's sore lungs produced shorter and shorter breaths.
Soon the corners of Iza's eyes began to darken from lack of oxygen as the voices tried to calm her. "Iza, it's us! Please calm down!"
She couldn't see, and she didn't understand. The voices increased her hysteria as she looked between the red and purple lights. Suddenly the voices grew silent as an orange and yellow figure entered her vision. "Wait." They got close to her face, where some of their features became clearer. "I don't think she can see."
Immediately after, something grabbed Iza's left arm and gently restrained her. Iza's fear spiked, and she let out silent, tearless sobs due to dehydration. She felt her glasses removed before something damp was pressed to her face; it rubbed her skin.
The object muffled her cries, then was removed and replaced her glasses. Finally, her arm was released, and Iza jumped back, hitting her head and body against the hard wall. More pain surged through her as she whined and held her head with her left hand.
Iza groaned and rubbed her scalp; she calmed slightly before someone asked. "Iza?"
She froze. Slowly Iza opened her eyes and sat shocked; it no longer hurt to see. She opened them further, and her vision gradually came into focus. Then she looked up; Iza watched as the blurry forms with the red and purple eyes slowly centered and revealed a worried Chica and Monty.
Iza's mouth gaped. She shifted her gaze down and saw Inox and Sun staring at her. She glanced back, utterly confused.
"Iza?" She looked forward and saw Inox with a concerned face. "Can you see us?" He held out his hand, ready to catch her if she freaked out.
Heart still pounding, Iza looked around as she took deep breaths; eventually, her breathing was normal. She faced Inox again and tried to speak but only released a hoarse squeak. She was surprised but nodded instead.
"Your voice must be shot," Inox said.
"Hey." Iza turned and saw Sun. "Drink these." He held out two large cups of water.
She looked between them, grabbed the first, downed it, then did the same to the second. After finishing both drinks, Iza stacked the cups and set them next to her. Then she cleared her voice. "Thank you, Sun." Her voice was harsh and rough as if she'd lose it completely the next day.
Sun nodded and sat criss-cross next to her; the others followed suit. "How do you feel, kid?" Monty asked, crouching next to her.
She looked over, scanned his red eyes, and sighed; she huffed. "Like I was hit by a semi and dragged for several miles." Iza rubbed her head, then she looked down, and her eyes widened.
Resting in her lap, Iza's right arm sat partly immobilized while bandages covered her skin from her middle palm to her right shoulder with heavy gauze centered from the wrist to her mid-forearm. Iza noticed various bloodied sanitary wipes and medical supplies scattered on the floor.
After a few moments, she managed to speak. "What happened to my arm?" she gawked.
The Glamrocks went silent and averted their gazes before Inox sighed and pointed. "The endo, it broke the skin and caused you to bleed. It would've crushed your arm if we arrived any later."
The image of the endo entered her mind, and Iza began to panic. "The endo!" she screamed, her voice cracked and strained against the volume. Iza tried to jump up. "We need to get out of here; it's going to ki—"
Inox caught her left arm and pulled her back down. "Iza, save your voice, please."
"But the endo, it's—"
"Gone," Inox replied gently. "It's gone; it can't hurt any of us."
Iza didn't resist and rested against the wall, but her fear continued. "What do you mean gone?" she demanded. "That thing was the size of Freddy. It can't just disappear."
"It didn't," Chica voiced.
Iza looked up, confused. "What are you talking about?"
Without responding, Chica stepped to the side and pointed toward the end of the room. Iza realized she was still on the stage, but the thought was quickly lost as she spotted what lay ahead.
Sitting in a pile were the dismembered remains of the endo. Both legs were ripped clean off and torn to shreds while its right arm was crushed to nothing, and its left arm from the elbow down was gone. Its head was forcibly pulled from its torso and lay several feet away; it was hardly recognizable as it had been stomped flat.
Although the thing had attacked her, the scene reminded Iza of when the Glamrocks were in similar states, and she struggled to hold back nausea. But, despite the gruesomeness of the view, what left a pit in her stomach were the deep and prominent claw marks slashed through the chest plate and lower body.
Slightly scared, Iza gulped. "What happened to it?"
No one answered, then Iza remembered the orange flash she saw right before passing out. The realization dawned on her, and she glanced back at the endo. Squinting in the dim lighting, Iza could see the shine of a blue claw still embedded in the gash. "Freddy did this?"
Iza looked back and saw the fear and hesitancy visible in her friends' eyes; their faces answered her question. Iza sighed and sat back down. "You know what," she said and rubbed her eyes. "I don't need to know; how long was I out for?"
Her response surprised the others, but they didn't react. Monty stood up and leaned against the same wall, arms crossed. "About two and a half hours," he replied, staring at the scene with his tail swishing side-to-side. "After that thing went offline, we cleaned and bandaged your arm."
Iza looked down and carefully traced the gauze under the bandages. "Did Freddy patch me up?"
Chica shook her head. "Roxy did, Freddy…" Her voice grew quiet. "Freddy didn't want to touch you."
Iza's heart hurt as she thought back to the fight with Freddy and how angry he got before grabbing her; guilt washed over her, and Iza buried her head in her hands. "This is my fault," she muttered to herself.
Sun noticed her change in mood. "So what happened to your left hand?" he asked, changing the subject.
Iza snapped from her stupor and faced him. "What?"
"Your left hand." Sun pointed to her appendage. "We had to pull glass shards from it before Roxy could bandage it; what did you do?"
Confused, Iza raised her hand and saw her fist bandaged from the wrist to her fingers with thin gauze over her knuckles. "Oh," Iza responded, her face dropped. "I punched the endo's optic."
Inox's eyes widened. "Why?"
She averted her gaze. "I was angry."
"Must've been some rage to punch a Freddy endo," Monty mumbled quietly, earning him a glare from Chica.
Iza ignored his comment but felt her guilt increase as she remembered the fight again. "I'm sorry," she said.
Sun looked at her and tilted his head, confused. "What did you say?" he asked. "I couldn't hear you."
Iza raised her head and uncrossed her arms. "I said I'm—"
"IZA!"
Everyone jumped as a new voice echoed through the spacious space. They peered over then relaxed when they saw the silhouette of Roxy with Music Man riding on her shoulder; they stood on the opposite end of the room before Roxy started sprinting and Music Man hung on for dear life.
Roxy closed the distance within seconds before she clamored onto the stage. She set Music Man down and halted right next to Iza; she nearly ran into Sun before he moved out of the way.
She scanned Iza over and stared, worried. "Are you okay? When did you wake up? Does anything else hurt?"
Iza's mind spun as Roxy peppered her with questions; Chica and Monty grabbed Roxy's shoulders and pulled her up. "Roxy, calm down!" they said together. "Iza's fine." Iza watched as they took her a few feet away when suddenly something small touched her left arm.
Surprised, Iza saw Music Man staring at her, the fazwatch fastened around his neck. Although his face was frozen, Music Man's eyes stared at her, relief and worry evident in his pupils. "Iza?" he said.
"Music Man?" Iza replied, grinning like a dope.
A laugh escaped Music Man; he looked at her and then hugged her left arm. Iza chuckled. "How's it going, man?"
"I'm good and happy that you're alive and kicking," he smirked. "How's the arm?" He released her left arm and stared at her right.
"Like it's been through a grinder," Iza frowned, then smiled. "But better, thanks to you all, I would've been a goner." Then a thought popped into Iza's head. "Wait, how did you guys know I was in trouble? The room we were in is rather far."
"Because of Inox," Sun answered. "When we talked, he said something about you and then sprinted from the room."
Iza was taken aback, and she looked over at Inox. "Seriously?"
Inox nodded. "It's true; I was talking with them one minute, and a green flash went across my vision the next. Then somehow, I knew you were in trouble."
Iza was confused. "Green?" she questioned. "Was it like a lightning bolt?"
Inox stared, shocked. "Exactly like that," he said, dumbfounded. "How'd you know?"
Iza sighed and readjusted herself. "Saw the same thing when I searched through the fazwatch." She looked at the ground and started drawing circles in the dirt. "When I was hiding from the endo, I looked through the apps and pressed a green button. Honestly, I thought I broke the fazwatch because immediately after a green bolt appeared, the whole thing shut off."
"Perhaps that button was linked to Inox and called him for help," Roxy suggested.
"Most likely." Inox scratched his chin. "This body is new, and I'm still learning how it works; there will be a few secrets."
Monty's voicebox let out a long sigh. "I'm just glad we found her in time. That thing's been getting more aggressive since she arrived."
His words piqued Iza's interest, but she let it go when something else entered her mind. "Hey, guys?" Iza said.
Everyone looked down. "What's up, kid?" Monty asked.
Iza breathed. "I'm sorry about before," she started and forced herself to look at them. "I'm sorry for how I acted and for not listening."
Silence fell across the others as Iza continued. "I'm sorry for yelling and getting angry; I was frustrated at being kept in the dark and had to let it out." She lowered her gaze. "But I know that's no excuse for what I did."
"All that rage and the things I said were never because of you in any way, it's because of my stubbornness and unwillingness to face something that I've avoided thinking about, and when we argued, I took it out on all of you."
Iza's voice cracked. "I had no right nor reason to behave the way I did. Instead, I let my emotions take over and blamed you guys for something you had no part in. I'm sorry for using you all as a scapegoat, and I'm sorry for how I pushed and didn't listen. I'm so sorry for not listening; I'm sorry for not respecting your wants and ignoring how you guys felt about your past and this place."
"I was so caught up in pitying myself and getting angry that I completely disregarded your feelings and didn't stop to think how my actions would've affected you. I'm horrible for what I did, and I'm sorry." Her voice began to strain as Iza held her head.
"You all deserve better, especially after I pushed despite clearly saying you didn't want to talk. I took it too far and caused Music Man and Freddy to snap. You all warned me that I should listen, but I didn't. I didn't listen, and I nearly died because of my own stupidity."
Although lacking tears, Iza was crying. "None of this should've happened, and it wouldn't if I had listened to your warnings and respected your wishes. I'm sorry, I'm so sorry for everything, you've all been so nice to me, and I've been nothing but a brat. It was all my fault. I'm sorry."
Iza's words slurred together as she began to ramble. However, something grabbed her arm and yanked her forward before she could continue. Iza collided with something hard, and she saw Roxy tightly embracing her. Iza continued to say sorry.
"Iza," Roxy said and looked forward. "I can't speak for the others, but I was never mad at you. Our past." Her voice trailed off and became lower. "We have experienced things that still affect us, and while it was difficult to hear you begging us to tell you."
Roxy paused. "We understand why you did. Inox explained why. While I don't think I can ever talk about what happened to us again, we don't hold anything against you; I don't think you were in the wrong because you clearly have experienced something that stuck with you."
"You're not mad?" Iza asked, then she turned to Inox. "You told them?"
Inox nodded; Roxy released her. "Iza," Inox sighed and rubbed his temple. "Since the day I was built, my primary objective has been to care for and protect you. Mr. Fasben created me as a caretaker for you, but that has grown into a greater relationship than simply human and android; you're like a sister to me."
"I have watched you grow since you were five and have experienced the world with you. You have grown into a kind and amazingly strong individual, but…" His tone grew serious. "But the way you react when thinking about Mr. Fasben is incredibly unhealthy. I apologize for my bluntness, but I think you need professional help such as grief counseling."
They locked eyes as Inox continued. "Mr. Fasben was a great man, and I will never diminish that, but he was also a secretive man, and I'm sure he had his reasons for many things. But I know that he would never want his only child to suffer like this."
He rested a hand on her shoulder. "I will not force you, but once we go home, I suggest you make an appointment with a therapist because there's more going on than simply getting mad about being kept in the dark."
Iza scanned his face before she closed her eyes and sighed. "You're right."
Inox was shocked; he didn't expect her to agree so quickly.
Iza continued. "After tonight, I've realized I do need help. It's like a switch; one minute I'm fine, then the next I'm fuming and taking out on others. It's not healthy or normal, so when we leave, I'll start searching for a therapist."
Inox smiled brightly. "Thank you," he whispered and embraced her. "That's all I ask."
Iza chuckled and hugged back; the embrace lasted until they released each other. "I promise this will be good for you in the long run, so thank you for agreeing."
Iza smirked and pushed him away. "Even if something's wrong, it's impossible to be mad at you," Iza laughed, then sighed. "But thank you, all of you, for putting up with me."
The others smiled at her. Suddenly happiness turned to shock as a loud rumbling sounded from Iza. Iza slapped a hand over her stomach and looked up, embarrassed. "You all wouldn't happen to have any food left, would you?" she chuckled nervously.
Everyone laughed before Roxy crouched next to her and held up a bag. "That's actually why we left." She opened the bag and pulled out a small box with two sausage and pepperoni pizza slices. "We heated up a new pizza, fresh from the oven."
Iza's face brightened, and she gave them a small hug. "Y'all are the best."
Roxy chuckled and patted Iza's head. "Glad to see you're still chipper," she said. "Makes us happy."
Iza gave her a warm smile and let them go before sitting down and eating. Everyone else took a seat and conversed as Iza ate her pizza. After twenty minutes had passed, Iza popped the final piece into her mouth and washed it down with water Sun had given her.
She swallowed and placed everything back in the bag. "I know I keep saying this," Iza said, gaining everyone's attention. "But best meal ever!" She pumped her fist into the air.
Inox chuckled, then grew quiet. "Hey, Iza?"
"Yeah?" she said and drank some water.
"Now that you're done, we need to tell you something."
"Hm?" she asked, looking at him.
"The Glamrocks and I were talking, and we think it's time for us to leave and go home."
Iza nearly dropped her cup but caught it. "What?"
"Please listen, your body is incredibly injured; you need medical attention, especially after your run-in with the endo. On top of that, you're malnourished; you've only eaten pizza three times in the last four or five days, and you've puked up most of it." Inox paused. "We think it's best for you and I to leave until you're physically better."
Iza set the cup beside her and thought about it; she exhaled. "Unfortunately, I can't argue." Iza scratched her hand. "Besides my physical state, no one has heard from you or me since we traveled to Utah."
Music Man spoke up. "Did people know you were coming here?"
Iza nodded. "The night we arrived, I was supposed to call my nana but my phone's long gone, and she must've filed a missing person report by now."
She rubbed her eye. "Plus, she's probably informed my mom's family by now, so they're all freaking out," Iza sighed. "I need to let them know we're okay, so I agree, leaving is our best bet."
Inox gave Iza a small smile, and she noticed it. "What?" Iza asked, confused.
"Nothing," Inox replied. "I'm simply surprised by how agreeable you are right now; what changed your mind?"
The endo's words entered her mind before she shook them away. "Just have had time to think," Iza responded and left it. Then her voice cracked, and a single tiny tear rolled down her cheek. "I'm going to miss you guys, though," she said and looked toward the Glamrocks.
"It won't be forever."
Everyone jumped as a deep voice reverberated about the room; they snapped their heads around and then relaxed as they saw Freddy walking toward them. Iza felt a lump in her throat as the memory of the fight reentered her mind. She may have apologized to the other Glamrocks, but she owed Freddy more than an apology.
As he walked to the stage, no one talked. He stopped at the edge, his face eye level with Iza. Freddy looked up at the others, then straight at her and his gaze softened. "I'm glad you're okay," he spoke gently.
Before she could respond, Freddy held up a sizable Monty-themed duffle bag and handed it to Inox. "What's this?" he asked as he set it down and unzipped it.
Inox rifled through the contents, becoming more confused as he looked. Inox pulled out several items, including the fazerblaster, the fazcam, the baggy of customization chips Iza found a while back, her new and old sweatshirts, and Inox's old body.
Inox reached inside and pulled out the orange sweatshirt before handing it to Iza. She put it on with the help of Chica, then looked back at the bag. Seeing Inox with a weird look on his face, Iza asked. "What's wrong?" Her voice was still raspy.
He leaned the bag over and revealed his old form before turning to Freddy. "Why is my old body in here?"
"Thought you might want it back," Freddy said. "It's light enough for Iza to carry, so I figured I might as well put it in there."
Inox looked back at his busted-up body and shrugged. "Thanks," he chuckled. "I'll have to take a look at it later." Before zipping up the bag.
"I will say, though," he said while slinging the bag over his shoulder. "Despite being an android, it's weird seeing the body I used to have."
Iza laughed. "Wouldn't put it past you. You've had the same model for years." Monty helped Iza stand. "Let's hope it doesn't come back as a zombie, ooooh," she teased.
Inox erupted in laughter and joined her side.
Freddy grinned, then raised his voice. "If you're finished eating, I think it's time to go."
Iza looked up, surprised. "Yeah," she said sadly.
Freddy sighed and motioned for the others to follow. Together they walked down the hall, Freddy leading the pack while Chica and Roxy walked ahead, and Monty and Sun walked behind them. For twenty minutes, they moved in silence until finally reaching the stairs.
Iza looked out and saw the familiar Freddy statue that had greeted them when she and Inox first arrived. Then she looked further. At the end of the room was the door she rammed in on the first day. No light flooded in, signaling it was night.
They traversed down the stairs until they finally reached the door. Roxy looked down at the warped metal gate. "Geez." She turned to Inox. "You said Iza did this?"
Inox nodded. "Miss 'I can do it myself' here didn't want to wait for a locksmith."
Iza smirked. "Two can play the nickname game, Nox."
Inox frowned and grumbled at the name, then he turned to the others. "Thank you all for everything."
Iza looked at them sadly before walking up and hugging each; she hugged Music Man. "Wait, Iza," Music Man said as he unclasped the fazwatch. "You forgot this."
Iza held up her hand. "Keep it; you get more use out of it than I do."
"Are you sure?"
"Positive," Iza smiled.
Music Man laughed and hugged Iza again; he redid the clasp around his neck. Iza hugged Chica and Sun, then she got to Freddy. Brown eyes looked up at glowing blue optics. She started to raise her hands for a hug, but Freddy flinched and stepped back.
Iza felt hurt but knew why; she sighed and held her hand out. Freddy stared at her, confused.
Iza took a deep breath. "The first time we met, you saved my life, Freddy."
Monty realized what she meant. "Sorry about that, kid, my bad."
Iza chuckled. "No hard feelings, Monty." She faced Freddy. "I know we will see each other again, but I'm sorry for how I acted before. The entire thing was my fault, and I don't expect forgiveness, but thank you for everything. I never knew my dad's family as a kid, but now I know why he is the way he is; he had an amazing role model and father to look up to."
Freddy looked at her but said nothing as she kept going. "When I come back, I promise to make up for what I did, but before I go, I want to say I love you. I love you all and can't wait until we come back."
Freddy smiled and kneeled down before shaking Iza's hand. "I still don't understand why Gregory kept you a secret, but I know he did a darn fine job raising you." He grinned happily, and his ears perked up. "I love you too, Iza," he said. "Get better and come back with Vanessa next time."
Iza giggled. "Of course!"
They released their handshake, and Iza turned to Inox. "Ready to go?" he asked.
Iza nodded and walked beside him; she turned around and waved at the Glamrocks before leaving. Inox went first; he put one foot out the door, ready to leave the pizzaplex.
Suddenly an alarm blared through the room, scaring everyone as Inox fell backward. Iza helped him up as everyone else looked around for the source. Then they looked at Music Man, who covered his ears; the alarm was coming from the fazwatch.
They all covered their ears before the sound ceased a moment later. Immediately after, a hologram projected from the fazwatch. Everyone stared in shock as a giant screen appeared before them and read loading…
"What the hell?" Iza muttered under her breath.
She walked up to it and tried to touch it when a loud ding was heard, and the screen changed. Bafflement was shared by everyone as the screen with pictures of a pixelated crown, sword, and pixel version of the fazwatch appeared, accompanied by the letters PQCP.
"What on earth?" Monty said before he jumped as a robotic female voice boomed through the room.
"WELCOME TO THE PRINCESSQUEST CONTAINMENT PROGRAM INFORMATION GUIDE!"
Music Man covered his ears as the voice deafened him.
"IT HAS BEEN REPORTED THAT THE PRINCESS AND SWORD PLAYERS HAVE ATTEMPTED TO LEAVE THE GAME'S BOUNDARIES. DO THEY WISH TO THROW THE MATCH?!"
"What the heck is that?" Roxy deadpanned.
"What happened?" Freddy asked, looking around. "What caused this?" He looked at Inox and Iza.
Inox shook his head. "I don't know," he panicked and pointed to the entrance. "I set one foot out the door, and that appears."
The voice came again. "DO THE PLAYERS WISH TO THROW THE MATCH?!" it repeated. "THE GLITCH HAS ALREADY BEEN NOTIFIED OF YOUR LOCATION; IF THE PLAYERS WISH TO THROW THE GAME, THE GLITCH PLAYER SHALL WIN!"
Iza squinted at the screen, and her gaze fell on the pixelated sword; her eyes widened. It was the same icon on the button that called Inox for help. She then looked to the crown. Could that refer to the—
"Princess."
Everyone jumped as a deep and gruff voice sounded from behind them. They snapped their heads around and saw a lone STAFF bot standing only fifty feet away. Its head was glitching violently, and its eyes blazed violet. "No wonder the game never ended when that damn sword broke the first time," it growled. "It never ended because the princess never died."
Its gaze pierced Iza's. "Gregory was never the princess, you were."
"DO THE PLAYERS WISH TO THROW THE MATCH?!" the female voice asked again.
Iza's eyes darted between the hologram and satanic death bot as the Glamrocks put themselves between her and it. She could hear Freddy growl menacingly as he flexed his claws.
Iza looked down to her right and saw Music Man, still covering his ears, and the hologram. "What happens if we throw the game?" Iza asked hesitantly, never taking her eyes off the bot for very long.
"THEN THE GLITCH WINS, AND THE PROGRAM WILL DEACTIVATE! DO YOU WISH TO THROW THE MATCH?!"
"No!" Iza yelled as the others looked at her. "Wait, glitch?" Her eyes nearly burst from her sockets. "You're G!" she pointed at the bot.
The face snapped to her and started clapping. Its movements were zombie-like and visibly disturbing to witness. "Wow," G responded. "You finally figured out what has been directly in your face the entire time."
It began to laugh. "Do remember our little chat, Iza Fasben?"
The others looked at her. "What is it talking about?" Inox asked.
"Oh, she didn't tell you?" the laughing became more profound and demonic. "Before mister temperamental Fazbear here tore that endoskeleton to shreds, I told her a bit of her family history. About Gregory and Vanny, but also how her damned father locked me away for twenty-one hellish years." Its head shifted violently to the side.
The others stared horrified at Iza as she gritted her teeth. "But that's not what I meant to talk about." Everyone looked at the STAFF bot. "Iza, do you recall what I said about the program? About how the princess and the sword both need to be defeated for me to win the game?"
Iza became confused but snarled at G. He continued. "At first, I was concerned when the game didn't end; however, now that I know where the sword and fazwatch are and who the princess truly is." The violet eye color turned to a mixture of deep purple and blood red. "I can finally beat the game."
Suddenly the floor began to shake as satanic cackling pounded the air. The quaking started from the Freddy statue but quickly spread as a large crack splintered the ground.
Iza and the animatronics struggled to keep their balance. Chica fell to the ground before Roxy quickly pulled her up. "Everyone get to solid ground! Now!" Freddy shouted. Inox grabbed Iza's right hand and yanked her onto the doorway, careful not to step outside.
The others found a place to stand. Iza wrapped her arm around Inox and accidentally entangled her arm in the duffle bag straps. She looked around, then gasped and saw Music Man struggling to move as the ground threw him off balance.
The ground tossed him around like a ragdoll as the quakes became worse, and the laughter grew louder. "Guess who finally gets to leave the Fazbear name!" the endo laughed psychotically. "Eighty-eight goddammed years! I will finally be free of this robotic hellscape!"
Iza saw the ground began to separate; a crack spread through the ground and was headed directly for Music Man. "Music Man, hurry!" she yelled.
He tried and failed as his tiny frame was thrown about. Finally, the crack was only meters from him. Then, without thinking, Iza released her hold on Inox and dashed for Music Man. The force of her takeoff snagged the duffle bag and hung from her left arm as she sprinted for her little friend.
"Iza!" Inox screeched. The building shook, and Inox struggled to hold onto the doorframe.
Iza ignored his cries as she tried to reach Music Man. Finally, after much difficulty, she grabbed Music Man's arm before clutching him to her chest. She immediately turned around and sprinted back, but the crack reached them first. "Iza!" Chica cried as the ground became too unstable. "You're almost there; come on!"
The endo started moving sporadically. "Eighty-eight years! I will finally be free from the past and this body!" The voice was now warped and demonic, an authentic sound straight from the deepest pit of hell.
Iza was only five feet away when the ground caved below her. She screamed as she and Music Man began to fall. "IZA!"
Freddy lunged at them and grabbed the two, holding them protectively as he also began to fall.
Finally, the earthquake split the floor in two and revealed the cavern below. Everything from the entrance to the Freddy statue fell into the hole, including the horrific STAFF bot, still laughing as it fell.
Inox and the others cried their friends' names; they could only watch helplessly as the sight of Freddy's bright orange color disappeared into the inky abyss below.
