Abhimanyu's second year had been quite interesting. During his summer holidays, Molly's parents had bought a broom for him as a belated birthday gift as his birthday was on the 1st of February but first years were not allowed broomsticks.

He had gone for quidditch tryouts and luckily, had secured the position of seeker as well as that of reserve keeper. Rudolphus, who had become the Slytherin team's seeker, had sneered at him and had declared that he, a Mudblood was no match for him. However, during the Gryffindor-Slytherin quidditch match, things had gone the other way round. Abhimanyu had fooled Rudolphus by using a dogfight technique and had just caught the snitch on time, with Rudolphus' hand over his. Shortly after the catch, Rudolphus had crashed into a stand.

Other than quidditch matches and occasional huge arguments, things had been relatively normal that academic year.

Towards the end, he and Molly had both picked care of magical creatures, arithmancy, astronomy, and Muggle studies out of the subjects that were taught from third year onwards. When Molly had asked him why, Abhimanyu had replied, "Just to have some basic knowledge about the Muggle world, since I'm not in it most of the time."

The summer before his third year had been quite interesting. Ginger had flown with Abhimanyu to India and the two had visited his grandparents in Delhi. They had also gone to a few famous temples and had had a good time in Goa before flying back to the UK.

During the last few weeks of his summer in the UK, he had visited Molly's parents, and had met her twin brothers Gideon and Fabian Prewett who would be starting Hogwarts that year.

Now, Abhimanyu, Molly and Ginger were in their third year, and Molly's twin brothers were in their first year and had been sorted into Gryffindor.

Currently, it was the Gryffindor vs. Slytherin quidditch match and Abhimanyu and Rudolphus were searching for the snitch.

Just then, Abhimanyu noticed, out of the corner of his eye, Rudolphus chasing after something. Instantly, he flew after him, trying to catch up with him.

Rudolphus had spotted the snitch and was closing in. In a few moments, the snitch would be in his hand and that Mudblood would be put in his place.

Just then, he heard a cry of "Look out!"

He turned just on time to see a bludger headed straight towards him from above. Instantly, he ducked and the bludger missed him. However, it came back to him and he had to swerve to avoid it. In doing so, he lost sight of the snitch.

He spent some moments looking around, and then, he noticed it was not far from him. He raced for it, and then to his horror, noted that Abhimanyu was closing in as well. This was not going to be easy.

Abhimanyu had gone after the snitch as soon as he had seen it. Seeing Rudolphus swerving and the snitch changing its direction was a relief.

The two of them were now closing in. They were reaching out desperately, hoping to catch the snitch as soon as possible. They were soon flying right next to each other.

Rudolphus attempted to push Abhimanyu's hand aside and cause him to lag behind, but Abhimanyu kept on going. His hand reached out, and finally, he caught the snitch, with Rudolphus' hand closing over his.

The commentator declared, "Gryffindor seeker Abhimanyu Pandey has caught the snitch. Gryffindor wins!"

There was cheering all around, even as Abhimanyu held the snitch and landed.

A few minutes later, as everyone was dispersing, Abhimanyu caught sight of Rudolphus, standing nearby and glaring at him.

"You!" Rudolphus shouted, "You cheated! You couldn't have caught the snitch like that!"

Abhimanyu spoke calmly with a smile, "You're just jealous because you lost Rudolphus Lestrange."

Rudolphus shouted, "You may have won this time, but you're nothing but a pathetic weak filthy Mudblood, nothing compared to purebloods that are…"

"Shut up Lestrange!" a new female voice suddenly cried out.

Everyone turned to see a girl, Slytherin according to her badge, looking very similar to Bellatrix.

The girl cried out, "We lost, but that doesn't mean you go on ranting and screaming insults like that! Stop being such an arrogant braggart!"

Rudolphus glared at her and said, "Keep out of this, Andromeda Black!"

The girl firmly said, "You just go away from here."

Rudolphus glared at the other boy and strode off angrily.

Abhimanyu looked at the girl and spoke, "Thank you. What's your name?"

The girl replied, "I'm Andromeda Black. You're Abhimanyu Pandey aren't you?"

Abhimanyu moved towards her and said, "Yes, that's me. Are you Bellatrix's sister?"

Andromeda replied, swaying and slightly sneering in a sing song manner, "Yes. And you are Muggleborn, aren't you?"

Abhimanyu replied, "That's true. I hope you don't hold that against me though. I'm not bad."

He then pulled out a couple of chocolates from his pocket and said, "Would you like one? They're Lindor, really good."

Andromeda smiled and took one saying, "Let's see what this Muggle sweet tastes like! Shouldn't do any harm, it's safe, right?"

Abhimanyu replied, "Don't worry, it's safe."

Andromeda removed the red wrapping and uncovered a ball of chocolate. She popped it into her mouth and felt it melting in her mouth. This was so good. She said, "Mmmm, this is so good. I have to admit, this is quite good. And by the way, you do fly well."

Abhimanyu replied, "Thanks, although the Slytherin team played well."

Andromeda was surprised to hear that and said, "Well, I was actually wondering if you'd start jeering."

Abhimanyu remembered a day in his summer when he and Ginger had been discussing a particular quidditch match. Abhimanyu had bragged that he had beaten Rudolphus and that he and Ginger as well as all other Gryffindors were better than Slytherins. Unfortunately, his mother had heard that, and had proceeded to pull his ear and give him a scolding. He had been more careful with his words afterwards.

He said, "No, that's not right."

Just then, they heard a shout, "Andi, what are you doing with a Muggleborn?"

They turned around to see Bellatrix walking towards them.

Bellatrix reached them and said, "Andi, answer me."

Andromeda replied, "Just talking to him. He's quite nice, actually. You should try his Muggle chocolate."

Bellatrix spoke worriedly, "What Muggle chocolate? I hope…"

Abhimanyu spoke, "Don't worry, it's safe. You have my word. If she gets sick, you can hold me responsible for it Bellatrix."

Bellatrix looked at him and said sharply, "If you do anything to my sister, I will make you regret it."

Abhimanyu replied, "I won't do anything bad to her. And, your sister is quite nice."

Andromeda smiled at that.

Bellatrix replied, "Well, you'd better watch yourself Abhimanyu. I admit, you are very polite though."

Abhimanyu replied, "Well, you're certainly better than Rudolphus who calls me Mudblood."

Bellatrix spoke, "Oh, well I could too if I wanted to, but, I don't, because, there's something about you that makes me feel I can't."

Abhimanyu asked, "What is it?"

Andromeda smiled even as Bellatrix replied, "I don't know."
