August 22nd, 1970

Things had gone tightly, but nevertheless well for the family consisting of the Black sisters, Abhimanyu, and Lucius.

In fact, the Potters and the Bones families had offered their support, Alexander especially having stressed that there was no need for repayment of any kind, and that the only thing he wanted was that Abhimanyu take care of Amelia if something were to happen to the family.

Andromeda, Narcissa and Lucius had been able to get good quality books and robes instead of second hand ones, and had even been able to get plenty of equipment thanks to the money from Abhimanyu's vault, some of which had been given by the Potters and Bones.

Currently, it was 7:30 pm, and Abhimanyu and Lucius were standing and watching the girls go all over dresses in a shop on the side of a Muggle street.

Lucius muttered, "They take so long! What is it with all these Muggle dresses?"

Abhimanyu exclaimed softly, "I know right?! If there's one kind of shopping I hated being taken to by my parents, it's clothes shopping! It feels like hours and hours on end!"

Just then, Bellatrix came over to them and said, "Most of these Muggle dresses are quite good. Come see how good Andi looks!"

Andromeda was being cornered by Narcissa who was holding up a garish pink dress.

"No stop," Andromeda protested, "Abhimanyu, tell her to stop forcing me to wear this thing!"

Narcissa laughingly said, "It'll look so pretty on you!"

Andromeda exclaimed, "Oh you! I will eat…."

Suddenly, they were interrupted by a loud bang, and they all hurried out of the shop to see what was going on.

And then, they all saw something quite unexpected, something which meant danger.

Death Eaters were all over the street, blasts were occurring at random places, and people were screaming out of fear.

Abhimanyu pulled out his wand and cried out, "Andi, Cissy, you both need to get out of here!"
"We can't," Andromeda cried out, "We can't apparate yet!"

Bellatrix pulled out her wand and said, "Everyone be ready. Don't worry about underage magic, we're all going to need it right now."

Andromeda and Narcissa pulled out their wands and held them at the ready.

Sure enough, a Death Eater, a heavily built one came close to the group and cried out, "It's those blood traitors, and that Mudblood Pandey!"

Lucius cried out, "Get down!"

They all ducked, and just managed to avoid being hit by a few killing curses which whizzed overhead.

One caught the Death Eater that had just spoken. Most of the others simply flew into walls and windows of nearby buildings.

Abhimanyu and Bellatrix turned round and both cried out, "Stupefy!"

And their stunners hit two Death Eaters, fair and square. Both fell unconscious.

Suddenly, they saw four Death Eaters heading towards them, one crying out, "It's the Black sisters and the Malfoy traitor! Kill them!"

Lucius stepped in front of Narcissa even as a Death Eater neared her and shouted out, "Everbero!"

The Death Eater was blasted backwards.

Just then, Lucius suddenly heard Narcissa crying out, "Diffindo!"

And he turned around to see Narcissa's wand pointed at a Death Eater a few feet away, who would have struck from behind.

The Death Eater was forced to move in order to avoid being hit, but was caught by a stunner from Andromeda.

Bellatrix turned to Abhimanyu and yelled out, "We have to protect the others! Tell Andi and Cissy to run for it!"

Andromeda cried out, "We're not leaving you!"

"Then you will fall, foolish ones," a sinister voice suddenly spoke.

The group turned in the direction of the voice, and saw a tall, looming, evil figure walking towards them.

When the figure neared them, he pulled the hood over his head, revealing the face of Lord Voldemort.

Abhimanyu said, "You've come on yet another raid, and this is the second time we meet on the battlefield."

Voldemort replied, "And so it is, only this time, I can see you're not alone. You are dissipating your energy by saving the weak, all of you. There are consequences."

With that, he raised his wand.

Bellatrix cried out, "Everyone move, get away, get down!"

Barely as she spoke, Voldemort cried out, "Crucio!"

Abhimanyu, Bellatrix and the other girls managed to duck, but Lucius was not so fast.

He fell down to the ground, screaming out and clutching his stomach in pain, trashing about wildly.

Abhimanyu shouted, "STOP, LET HIM GO!"

Voldemort held on for a few more seconds before slowly releasing Lucius and hissing, "And now what? What will you do? You know that to fight me is pointless."

Bellatrix pulled Abhimanyu up even as she stood up herself and said, "Not if we stand together."

Andromeda and Narcissa pulled out their wands and stood beside Bellatrix and Abhimanyu. Andromeda said, "We are the three Black sisters, and if you want to kill one of us, you'll have to kill us all!"

Narcissa added, "And Pandey's not weak like you say."

Voldemort fumed and said, "Foolish fools, if you will not bow, you will die!"

With that, he cried out, "Avada Kedavra!"

Abhimanyu managed to dodge the spell.

He and Bellatrix began to cast their own spells even as the dark lord attacked.

Voldemort cast a red fiery spell, and Abhimanyu repelled it with a blue one.

Bellatrix attempted to use a bolt of fire, but Voldemort caught it with his wand and sent it back towards them.

Abhimanyu and Bellatrix looked at each other for a moment, then held out their wands, and stepping aside on time, managed to hold the ball of fire that had been formed, and then they sent it back towards Voldemort.

Voldemort cast a blue spell towards Abhimanyu, but Bellatrix caught it and, twirling around, she sent it back towards Voldemort.

Even as Voldemort dodged, he ended up getting singed by a flaming spell from Abhimanyu.

And then, Abhimanyu and Bellatrix looked at each other and, holding their wands towards each other, cast a purple spell.

Their spells hit each other, and an electric crackling sound emanated even as Voldemort watched on, his wand at the ready.

Abhimanyu and Bellatrix managed to just turn and nod at Andromeda and Narcissa, who, understanding what they meant, rushed forward and put their wands in the purple flux. At once, a great mass of energy was felt, and the four pushed their wands forward, sending the blast of it towards Voldemort.

Voldemort barely managed to conjure a shield before he was struck by the powerful blast of energy and sent flying backwards, hitting a telephone booth with a painful crunch.

He slowly managed to get up, and faced the group of wizards and witches in front of him, and said, "What? How?"

Abhimanyu and Bellatrix pointed their wands at Voldemort and said, "As long as we stand together, we stand a chance against you, no matter how powerful you may be."

Voldemort hissed, "You are not even a Black!"

Bellatrix replied coolly, "That's right. I'm a Pandey, and I'm proud to be one."

"That's right," Abhimanyu replied, "Bellatrix and I are getting married soon. And when we do, and even before and after, we will always defy you."

Andromeda and Narcissa neared them, as did Lucius.

Andromeda said, "We sisters have an unbreakable bond. You cannot shatter it."

Narcissa added, "Nor can you shatter Bellatrix's with Pandey, and mine with Lucius."

Voldemort hissed, "Fear and love will bind you!"

Bellatrix replied, "You're wrong. Love set me free, free from prejudice and hatred towards Muggleborns, and now, love will strengthen us to fight you."

Voldemort faced them and said, "You are weak, and you are foolish, and you will lose everything."

And with that, he disappeared.

The group was silent.

The Death Eaters had left.

Aurors had arrived.

A few moments later, Narcissa suddenly broke the silence by saying, "I hope we do not get charged for underage magic."

Abhimanyu replied, "We only did what we had to do. And underage magic in self defense is understandable."

Lucius said, "Let's just hope nothing goes wrong. I don't want to face Crouch."

Abhimanyu smiled and said, "It'll be okay. And for sure, I'm going to…"

"Be eaten tonight," Bellatrix finished for him, sporting an evil smile, "And it's going to be really gruesome."

Abhimanyu smiled and said, "Let me guess, you're going to maul me while I'm in bed, right?"

Bellatrix looked at him seductively and whispered, "Of course I will, in the end. Get ready to be devoured by me tonight Abhimanyu Mangal Pandey, my cute handsome Muggleborn."
