Among the Wolves

TheOneAndOnlyEnigma

Minerva McGonagall, and Madam Pomfrey were in Poppy's office. Both of them were sitting in the office exhausted mentally and physically.

Albus was looking out of his window solemnly, after hearing their accounts over what had happened.

"For my own peace of mind, would you please repeat everything you have told me," Albus asked them.

Poppy sighed, "I awoke early in the morning to hear Remus Lupin screaming in horror. I got up from my cot in my office, and went to see what was the matter. Mr. Lupin was crawling away from his bed, because he was too tired to run. And that's when I saw it, Albus."

The sight of the decapitated wolf's head in pain was very ghastly. It's blood had leaked to the ground and pooled to form a crimson red mirror on the floor.

"Someone killed that wolf, cut its head off, and placed it in Remus' bed to attempt to frighten the poor boy to death!"

Minerva stepped in to finish the retelling, "At that time Poppy contacted me through her Patronus and I rushed over to the Hospital Wing to help her console Mr. Lupin."

"I called on Argus to dispose of the wolf's head and the bloodied sheets." Poppy grimaced, "Granted I could have used Scourgify, but I'd rather have them burnt!"

Dumbledore shook his head in understanding, "And young Mr. Lupin?"

"It took hours for him to calm down enough for Poppy to administer a double dosage of a calming draft and a Dreamless Sleep to get him to finally fall back asleep."

Dumbledore was disturbed by this report. "Was anyone in the Hospital Wing or around the Wing at that time?"

Minerva shook her head, "There was nobody else Albus, I searched for any traces of residual magic, and there was nothing. After we got Remus to fall asleep, we took turns resting and keeping watch until morning came. Which is when we called you, and Professor Schell."

He stroked his beard, "Was Hagrid able to find the body of the wolf?"

"Not yet, but he and Fang are on the lookout. I've also told Argus to keep an eye out as well."

Madam Pomfrey looked out the door towards the hospital wing. She saw Remus Lupin sleeping as Gabriel Schell was keeping an attentive and watchful eye over him.

She turned back to McGonagall and Dumbledore. "I think we should bring Gabriel into this conspiracy of ours."

McGonagall and Dumbledore looked at the mediwitch. "What on Earth for?"

Poppy sighed, "Well he teaches Defense Against the Dark Arts, and surely he'll be teaching his students about Lycanthropy at some point. He probably already has a suspicion."

Minerva nodded her head, "This happened last year with Robert Gold, he confessed to me that he figured it out. So, the chances that Gabriel already knows, or suspects are high." She saw the logic in Poppy's words. "We might as well, Gabriel seems trustworthy, and I think he might already suspect the truth."

Dumbledore had reservations, but relented. Gabriel was very attentive, it was possible he already knew. "All right, let's bring him in."

Poppy had left her office and fetched Gabriel. The two switched positions with the Matron looking after Remus, as Gabriel went to the office to speak with McGonagall and Dumbledore.

"What's going on?" Gabriel asked the two.

"Gabriel, we've decided to fill you in on a sensitive matter,: Dumbledore began to speak. "And we need your utmost trust and discretion in this matter. "

Gabriel cocked an eye, "Is this about Lupin's Lycanthropy?"

Minerva and Albus were surprised, but not shocked.

"You know?"

"Yep," Gabriel answered.

Albus looked at him, "How long have you known?"

"I've had my suspicions for a while, but this..." He pointed towards Remus. "Confirmed everything. Also I happen to teach Defense against the Dark Arts. Lycanthropy is something I go over in my Third Year syllabus."

"It's very important that you keep this under wraps Gabriel," Minerva said.

"Who am I going to tell, Minerva? The MLE? I'm not the most popular person there nowadays, despite Scrimgeour apparently cooling on me."

Dumbledore looked at him, "You haven't talked to him yet?"

"No, I really didn't leave The MLE in the best of terms, but I digress." He looked at Dumbledore and McGonagall, "I'm not going to tell anyone about Lupin. You have my word. I'd rather die than destroy that kid's future."

That seemed to quell Dumbledore's and McGonagall's worries.

Minerva McGonagall sighed, "Well now that's settled. Would you have an idea about who might have done this?"

"Are you kidding? C'mon Minerva, we both know who's responsible."

Minerva knew who Gabriel was talking about. Dumbledore looked at the two and quickly understood Gabriel's accusation.

"Now wait a minute…"

"He's all by himself at night in his own separate chambers. He could steal away at night whenever, and if Filch stopped him, he could just say 'Head Boy business' or some shite like that."

"Mr. Yalarad would not do anything like this. He is reformed, and I wouldn't have handpicked him to be Head Boy if I thought otherwise." Dumbledore voiced his support for his Head Boy.

Gabriel glanced at him, "I don't have to convince you." He looked at the Deputy Headmistress. "He's probably expecting us to come and question him. So let's oblige him."

Minerva looked at Gabriel and nodded. The two of them were off to confront Dante. They walked out on Dumbledore who tried in vain to stop them.

They spent a few minutes walking over to the Head Boy's chambers. When they arrived, Gabriel pounded on the door.

McGonagall asked Gabriel, "How should we handle this?"

Gabriel got impatient and kicked the door in. "Forcefully."

Dante was sitting on his couch going over some of his homework, when Professor McGonagall and Gabriel came in. "Excuse me? May I help you?" He stood up, but Gabriel sat him back down.

"Sit down," Gabriel ordered.

"I'd like to know…"

Dante tried getting up but Gabriel shoved him back down, "I said sit!"

"Gabriel…" Minerva voiced her concern. "He's still a student."

The Defense professor took a breath, "Where were you last night?"

Dante crossed his arms, "I was here, where else would I be?"

"Don't get smart with me boy. Can anyone attest to your whereabouts?"

"No."

Gabriel sniffed, "Even your darling wife to be?"

Dante got up close to his Defense professor. "I don't think I like what you're insinuating."

"Is that right? Well, what are you going to do about it?"

Minerva knew that this was a powder keg waiting to explode. "Gentlemen, please. Let's take a step back."

Gabriel didn't take his eyes off of Dante but reluctantly took a step back giving the young man some breathing room.

Minerva addressed Dante, "Mr. Yalarad, the reason why we want to know your whereabouts last night is because there was an incident in the hospital wing. A student was, well let's just say he was disturbed in an extreme manner."

Dante looked at Professor McGonagall, "And because of my past you automatically assume I had something to do with it?"

She gave him a curt nod.

"I understand that my past should bring cause to suspect me, but really I should be given some benefit of the doubt."

"Until we see and hear otherwise Dante, that's going to be a big fat no in my end," Gabriel said. "Because you can't change. You were a little gobshite back then, and you're a little gobshite now."

"Gabriel!" Minerva looked at him in shock.

"I'm not going to sugarcoat this one bit. The only reason I took this job was to keep an eye on Severus, Sam, and all their friends. Because, I knew you'd pull something like this. You and those lackeys of yours."

"Looks I don't have anything to do with what may have happened in the hospital wing, no matter what you may believe. Now I have some studying to do, so if you don't mind?" Dante sat back on his couch and returned to his materials.

Gabriel frowned, he had no concrete proof to accuse him with, but now Dante knew that Gabriel would always be watching him, and that was the purpose for this little visit.

Minerva McGonagall looked at Dante, "Very well. We will leave you be, but I will warn you. If I find evidence to the contrary, I will have you expelled. Is that clear?"

Dante had to hide a smirk from emerging on his face. "Yes Professor, it is."

Satisfied, McGonagall walked out of the Head Boy's chambers.

Gabriel sneered at Dante, "I've got my eyes on you Dante. You and all your little friends. I don't know what you're planning, but it won't work."

Dante chose not to engage with Schell, electing rather to study his notes on Divination.

Gabriel walked out of Dante's chambers and began to formulate ideas on how to stop Dante before he could do some real damage.

~*~* Page Break ~*~*

Severus woke up that same morning, and groaned. He hadn't been sleeping well at all these past few days.

He sat up in his bed and saw that he was alone. Bartholomew was probably doing some independent studies in the potion lab. Severus got out from under the covers, making sure not to disturb Greymalkin.

Thankfully it was a Saturday, so there were no classes. He had a little homework to finish before the weekend was over, but it could wait.

He got his clothes and toiletries and proceeded to the showers to bathe himself. He opened the door, and saw that Black Donal was waiting for him already. "Good morning Severus."

"Good morning Black Donal, I need to get ready for today so please wait for me outside the showers for me."

"Of course."

Black Donal escorted Severus to the showers. Afterwards, he got dressed, and placed his towel and dirty clothes in the provided hampers for the House Elves to clean. Severus always made it a priority to thank the elves for doing so.

He was dressed in his normal uniform without his robe as there were no classes today. Severus had something to do before meeting with his friends.

Severus walked out to Black Donal who was waiting for him. "Fancy meeting you here," Black Donal joked with Severus.

Severus smiled awkwardly, "Black Donal do you think we could talk? Hopefully in private?"

Black Donal looked confused but shook his head, "Of course."

The two of them walked back to Black Donal's room and went inside. Black Donal closed the door behind them. "What did you want to talk about?"

Severus felt bad about what he was going to do, but he needed answers. "Please sit down Black Donal."

Black Donal looked taken aback, but obeyed.

Severus felt weird being in this position, but moved forward. "Black Donal, we need to talk about your behavior this past week."

"How so?"

"How so? Let's start with how you manhandled Dante a few days ago. I was in no clear danger, and you put your hands on him!"

Donal looked slightly away in an apparent shame. He knew he had let his emotions dictate his actions.

"And a week or so before, when Doherty mentioned 'The Grey Cloak' you looked like you wanted to throttle him." Severus looked at Black Donal, "What is the Grey Cloak, and why are you so emotionally attached to it?"

Black Donal sighed, there was no way around this. "Do you know the history of my family and the history of the Black Cloaks?"

Severus thought, "Your ancestor was one of the few chosen to become a Black Cloak when the order was first established."

"And ever since then my family has been intertwined with The Black Cloak society for generations."

"Magunsson's have been highly sought after as far as Black Cloaks go," Severus commented. "I remember how Grandpa would always beam with pride when others would tell him how lucky he was to have Black Conor and Black Leif."

"As he should be. My brothers are consummate professionals."

"Black Donal, I don't understand. What does your family have to do with the Grey Cloak?"

Donal sighed, but continued. "Leif, Conor, and I have an older brother, Royce. Who became a Black Cloak before us all, and was one of the best. Probably the best of his Generation."

Severus was surprised, "I've never heard of him. If he's so great, why is this the first time I am hearing about him?"

"It's because we don't talk about him. At least Leif and Conor don't."

"What happened?"

Donal appeared to be a bit downtrodden. "Royce was assigned to defend and protect Lord Nigel Abercrombie."

Severus furrowed his eyebrows, "He sounds familiar for some reason."

"This was before you were even born, but you probably heard of him and what he did from the grapevine."

Severus racked his brain, but failed to remember why he remembered Lord Abercrombie's name. "I'm sorry but, no."

"Lord Abercrombie was found to have been torturing muggles and using them in dark ritualistic magic."

Severus was shocked, "The Dark Arts?"

"The Darkest of the Dark Arts. The Blackest of all Black Magic." The Black Cloak ran a hand through his hair. "Royce found out what he was up to."

Severus looked at his Black Cloak. "Did Royce call the Aurors?"

"No," Black Donal sighed. "He killed Lord Abercrombie."

Severus' eyes nearly widened to the size of dinner plates. "He killed him?!"

"Yes, Lord Abercrombie was in the middle of one of his black masses, when Royce found him. He was attempting to perform...I don't want to say. However, trust me when I say it was horrendous. Royce saved his would-be victims; A family of three, a mother, and her children."

Severus was speechless, and Donal continued his tale.

"Royce killed him and safeguarded the lives of that family. However, doing so cost him his cloak."

Severus snapped out of his silence, "I mean, I guess! But Black Donal, from what you're telling me, Lord Abercrombie deserved it!"

"Of course he deserved it!" Black Donal looked at Severus. "But he betrayed the cloak. In doing so, he broke the code of the Black Cloaks. He had public opinion on his side. Many in the Wizarding Community applauded Royce for what he did, especially the Muggleborns, and Half-bloods. However, certain men of affluence made sure that Royce would never see the light of day again."

"Malfoy?" Severus asked Black Donal.

"Quite possibly. Presumably, all those in this supposed Dark Lord's camp. His followers are known as…" Black Donal now was the one who racked his brain.

Severus answered, "Death Eaters."

"Yes, thank you Severus." Black Donal, "As a last ditch effort my brothers pleaded with your grandfather, Lord Marius, to take his case. To which, he did. Lord Marius took Royce's case when it went to trial. At first, there was hope that Royce would be acquitted of his crime, and possibly he could maybe work as a Hit-Wizard, or the like."

Severus furrowed his eyebrows, "But that's not what happened?"

Black Donal shook his head, "No. It was near the end of the trial when Royce snapped. It was completely out of the blue. He never acted like that before! He snatched a wand from a bailiff, and proceeded to curse, and maim several people at the trial. He killed the witness on the stand, Black Donaldbain, who was the leader of the Black Cloaks at the time. He had cast Royce out of the order that same week, in absentia, mind you."

Black Donal looked down at the ground, "In the end it took a near army of Aurors to subdue him, but the one who managed to defeat him in combat was Silas Yalarad."

"Sam's father, yes I remember," Severus mentioned.

Black Donal shook his head, "When Black Donal awoke in custody, he claimed that he was not in control of his actions. That someone must have used the Imperius to control him to lash out like that."

"Do you think Royce was telling the truth?"

"Absolutely, but I think I am the only one who will say so. Both Leif and Conor won't even speak about Royce anymore, and that's their right."

"So, what happened to Royce?"

"After what happened at his trial, public opinion was swayed against him. Royce was found guilty, and summarily sentenced to a life sentence in Azkaban. They wanted Royce to be kissed, but your grandfather, bless him, managed to negotiate a life sentence for Royce instead. From that moment on, Royce was known as The Grey Cloak. The Black Cloak who killed not just his client, but the leader of the Black Cloaks."

Black Donal looked at Severus, "So now you know. And now you know why that is such a sore subject."

"Be that as it may Black Donal." Severus cleared his throat after listening to his Black Cloak. "I can't have you going off the rails like that again. I need you to be in control of your feelings. If you feel like you can't then I'll need you to switch with either Conor or Leif."

Black Donal stood up, "No, Young Master. I will do what you ask of me."

Severus smiled, he knew that Black Donal would follow his instructions to the letter. "Good, well now that the matter is settled, let's meet up with Dorian and Tav and proceed to the Great Hall. I am famished."

"Of course little Lord," Black Donal smiled as he opened the door for Severus as they left.

They met up with Dorian and Tav as they were leaving their room. The four of them went to The Great Hall.

As they reached the Great Hall, they saw Gabriel Schell leaning on one of the doors. "Good morning, gentlemen."

"Good morning Professor Schell," Severus politely responded.

"Please Severus, we aren't in classes now. It's okay to drop the formalities." Gabriel grinned, "I would like to speak with you if that's all right?"

Severus looked at Dorian and Tav, "Can you guys get a spot for me and everyone else?"

"Sure, Sev." Dorian nodded.

"That's not a problem, see you later Gabriel!" Tav waved at Gabriel.

Gabriel looked taken aback, but let it slide. When you give preference to one without restraint, others seem to take it as well. "That was weird, but okay." He turned to Severus, "Let's all talk somewhere a bit more secluded."

"Lead the way," Severus said.

Gabriel led Severus and Black Donal to a nearby empty classroom. He opened the door for Severus and Black Donal. Severus went inside, and Black Donal stood in the doorway, "Master Severus, do you wish for me to join you?"

Severus shook his head, "No Black Donal thank you, but please stand guard at the door."

"As you wish," Black Donal nodded his head at Gabriel, who in turn repeated the gesture.

Gabriel closed the door, and looked at Severus. "Okay I don't want to waste your time, so I'm going to get to the point. Raise your right hand."

Severus complied.

"I want you to make me an oath on your magic that what I will tell you will never leave this room," Gabriel was serious when he said this.

Severus realized that this was serious. He raised his hand and swore, "I swear on my magic, as a member of the House of Prince, that I solemnly swear!"

Gabriel, now satisfied, shook his head.

Severus put his hand down. "Gabriel, what's going on?"

"It's about your friend, Remus Lupin."

Severus' eyes widened, "What? Did something happen?"

Gabriel raised a hand to calm him, "Nothing physical happened, but something was done to him to try and scare him half to death."

"What? What happened?"

Gabriel leaned over and in a shushed tone told Severus what had happened.

Severus listened intently, and was horrified to hear what happened to Remus. "A wolf's head?!"

Gabriel hastily shushed Severus, "Shh! Yes, someone left a wolf's head in Remus' bed last night."

"Merlin!" Severus leaned against the wall and then had a sudden look of realization.

Gabriel noticed that, "What is it?"

"A few days ago Dante and his goon squad kicked us all out of our meeting place in the dungeons. When he left he said something about all of us being little lambs lost among the wolves. When he mentioned the wolves, he looked right at Remus!"

Gabriel had to bite his cheek to keep him from swearing. No doubt that Dante was involved now. "You say Dante kicked you out of your little clubhouse, why?"

"He quoted a rule about a group of students can't meet up unless a prefect or a teacher is present."

Gabriel scoffed, "That must be an ancient rule, because I don't know about it. If that's the case then. Let's oblige the blighter. Go to your friends and have your breakfast. Then gather everyone able and head up to my classroom. You can use it as your base of operations."

"Are you sure Gabriel? I don't want us all to impose on you," Severus didn't want to burden him.

"Of course I am. You and your friends are always welcome in my domicile."

Severus smiled, it looked like things were on the upswing for once.

Gabriel put his hand on Severus' shoulder. "The next time that little arsehole comes poking his nose where it doesn't belong, you come get me. I'll shut that shite down immediately!"

Severus felt at ease, he knew that Gabriel would safeguard him, but hearing him say it felt like a weight was lifted off of his shoulders. "Thank you."

Gabriel smiled softly as he held Severus' shoulder. "All right. Off you get. You must be hungry."

He nodded, and went to the door. "I might go see Remus after breakfast, if that's okay?"

"He might not be up for visitors today, Severus; but ask Madam Pomfrey just to be sure."

Severus understood and looked at Gabriel again, "Are you certain I couldn't tell my friends about what happened to Remus?"

"Kid, the less people that know about this would be for the best." He rubbed the back of his head, "But if you omit certain key details about this, then I'm sure it would be fine."

Severus nodded before he rejoined Black Donal, and was escorted to the Great Hall.

~*~* Page Break ~*~*

After breakfast, Severus and a few friends. Including Lily, Sirius, Regulus, and Peter. Unfortunately, they weren't able to see Remus. Madam Pomfrey told them that Remus was incredibly tired.

Severus let his friends in on the actual truth, but he withheld a major point, that being the wolf's head.

He talked to all his friends in his group back in the Great Hall. Severus told them about how Gabriel would allow them all to use his classroom as a meeting place whenever classes weren't in session.

Sirius and Regulus voiced their opposition, but they want were the sole minority. It was put to a vote, and sure enough, it was decided.

"I'm not too jazzed about this," Sirius admitted to his friends.

"Your feelings are noted, Siri." Peter comforted his friend, "However we have little options afforded to ..us."

Severus and Black Donal led everyone to the third floor.

Frank and Caddaric were at the caboose of the group. They were keeping an eye out for Dante or Doherty and their followers. Fortunately, it seemed as though they managed to slip out of the Great Hall unseen, or at least unnoticed.

Everyone walked to the DADA classroom. Severus knocked upon the door. "Gabriel? Are you there?"

The door was opened from the inside, "Come on in Severus. You and your friends."

That was all the invitation they needed. One by one they all shuffled into the classroom. Sirius and Regulus we're the last two to go in, but they did.

The group went inside and found that some of the desks were pushed back to the sides of the classroom. Gabriel was able to make the classroom as homely as he could have. Some of the desks were transfigured onto a couple of couches. A nice rug was placed on the ground with a large coffee table adorned with a few refreshments.

Gabriel was putting the finishing touches in the classroom turned clubhouse before turning back to Severus and his friends. "Hello hello. So, make yourselves comfortable. I doubt Dante and his ilk will bother us here."

Everyone slowly made their way around the classroom and settled down. Severus sat down on one of the couches with Lily. Black Donal made himself comfortable by the door, just to make sure nobody unseemly would intrude on them.

Sirius took a desk from one of the desks pushed aside and sat in the seat all the while keeping his eyes on Gabriel.

Severus sighed, he was hoping that Sirius would not start anything.

Regulus was sitting by Jane and Frank. He was on his brothers side, but he didn't want to step on Gabriel's toes. After all he was offering his space for them all, and from Dante's view.

Gabriel noticed Sirius' stares at him. He glanced over at him, "Careful Mr. Black, if you glare at me any harder I'll spontaneously combust."

A couple of the kids snickered at that, and Sirius' face flushed with a soft anger.

Sirius mumbled under his breath.

"What was that?" Gabriel stood up straight and crossed his arms, "Speak clearly. Enunciate. Good Lord, does your mother know you mumble like that?"

"Don't talk about my mother!" Sirius snapped.

Gabriel's eyes hardened a tad. "Oh please, like you have a monopoly on the subject. I knew her before you were even a sparkle in your father's eye."

Regulus looked at his brother, "Siri, let it go."

"No, I just can't believe our mother, the virtue of politeness and manners was ever a friend to a degenerate like him!"

Gabriel erupted in a loud uncontrollable laughter, which really got under Sirius' skin.

"What's so funny?!" Sirius got defensive.

"What's funny, is that you are a lot like your father. In the way you have no idea what you're talking about." Gabriel chortled, "The Sorting Hat chose right, you're just as headstrong as the rest of us Lions."

Severus had a small laugh at that but was growing concerned about the rising tensions in between Sirius and Gabriel.

"And as far as Walla being all high and mighty. She once was something of a prankster herself back in the day!"

The room grew silent as both Sirius' and Regulus' eyes widened, and their jaws grew agape.

"Shut up!" Sirius said.

"Yeah," Gabriel admitted.

Regulus got up and walked over to Gabriel, "Our mother, our own mother was a prankster?!"

"Let me put it to you this way. Have you ever heard of the legendary prank about the Prefect's Bathroom?"

"Yeah, of course I know about it!" Sirius got up from his seat with a mix of excitement and amazement.

"Your mother planned the entire thing." Gabriel smiled, there was not a single hint of deceit in his tone.

"How did she get the fireworks into the castle?!"

Gabriel chuckled, "That's a secret."

Sirius looked like he wanted to know more, but then he mentally kicked himself in the backside. He didn't feel like Schell could be trusted.

Gabriel noticed this and spoke thusly, "I don't expect you to trust me."

Sirius looked at him.

"I don't expect you to even be civil, even though I suspect your mother probably told you to be. I just want you to know one thing, and that's I detest Dante Yalarad. Probably more than you do, so long as we agree on that subject I think we can abide by each other."

Sirius looked at him quietly. He shook his head and let out a quiet, "Okay."

Regulus looked at ease. "Would you tell us more about our mother some time?"

"It'd be my pleasure, but not now." Gabriel looked at everyone else. "We have other matters to address at the moment."

He walked in the midst of everyone and got their attention as he leaned on a desk. "All right. Looks like you all have a massive rodent infestation that needs to be dealt with."

Everyone knew who Gabriel was talking about.

He raised his hands, "You all probably have your own plans and ideas to handle it. All I'll say is that if it goes against the rules, I don't want to hear about your plans, or see you perpetrate said plans."

Gabriel cleared his throat, "Now last year, your last professor, Robert Gold, introduced the dueling tournament back into the curriculum."

"Are you going to bring it back Professor?" Frank asked him.

"Yes I will, and better still. I am bringing back the Dueling club full time. Because it's high time you all get educated on how to properly duel and defend yourselves."

Everyone got excited about that.

"That got everyone's attention? Good, and seeing as how you all are spending your time here with me. I'll teach you guys something extra on the side."

That made everyone think that this wouldn't be such a bad idea after all. Severus was beginning to think that this was going to work out after all. And then came a loud knocking on the door.

Everyone fell quiet. They all immediately thought it was Dante. Severus looked at Black Donal, "If it's Dante tell him to bugger off!"

Black Donal nodded and went to the door. He opened the door, and was surprised when he saw Charles Potter outside the classroom door. "Excuse me!" He tried to force his way inside, but to no avail as Black Donal blocked him.

"It's Lord Potter," Black Donal called out to Gabriel.

Everyone let out a collective groan. Severus looked at Gabriel, "Should we leave?"

"Nah, this shouldn't take too long, and besides I'd like a few witnesses here to make sure nothing can get thrown back onto me. You know how he likes to complain." He looked at Donal, "Let him in."

Black Donal allowed Charles Potter entry, and he made his way through a bit annoyed that he was stopped to begin with.

Gabriel stood up right and sobered up. "May I help you Chuckie?"

Charles Potter looked offended, "That's Lord Potter to you Schell!"

"Whatever Chuckie. What do you want?" Gabriel was not in any mood to hear any bullshite spew forth from Potter's mouth.

Charles Potter looked aghast but pushed onward. "I have been informed that you have been teaching the dark arts to your students, and I'm here to put an end to it."

Gabriel didn't look too disturbed by his claims. "Does Dumbledore know you're here?"

Charles looked confused but decided to answer him. "He wasn't in his office when I flooed in."

"So you're trespassing."

"I beg your pardon?"

"You're trespassing. You're at Hogwarts without any prior notice, and without notifying either the Headmaster, or the Deputy Head. Ergo, you're trespassing. Please, remove yourself from the premises, and come again later." Gabriel crossed his arms and walked back to his desk, where he sat down and proceeded to busy himself with paperwork.

"Listen here Schell! I've got it on good authority that you've been teaching dark magic to these students," Charles Potter yelled.

"I sincerely doubt that," Black Donal muttered under his breath, as he rejoined with Severus.

Gabriel elected not to engage with Charles, as giving the cretin attention would only fuel his justifications. "Clive?"

Just then Clive popped in, "Yes Professor Schell? How may Clive be of service?"

"Could I get a pot of Peppermint Tea, and perhaps some Gingersnap biscuits as well?"

Clive nodded enthusiastically, "Clive will get on that! I'll be back in a flash!" He popped out of the classroom with a snap.

"Pay attention to me Schell!" Charles Potter was getting flustered, he hated being ignored, as if he were some petulant child.

Gabriel put on a pair of glasses and began grading a few essays he had assigned his Second Years about Ghouls, and where they can be found.

"Damn it, pay attention to me!" Potter turned to see that most of the kids in the room were snickering at him. "Stop snickering you insolent children!"

He glanced at Severus who was quietly chuckling and that drove Charles over the edge. "I don't see what you have to laugh about Snape! You're probably loving the dark arts that are being taught to you!"

Black Donal stepped in front of Severus, "That's enough."

"I agree, this is enough! Ever since that brat started attending Hogwarts he's been an utter menace!"

Lily defended her boyfriend from Charles Potter's remarks, "That's untrue! The only menace ever since the beginning of our time here was your son, and thankfully he's been expelled!"

"You dare?!" Charles Potter looked like he was about to stroke out.

Lily then defended her professor, "Professor Schell has been teaching us methods and strategies to properly defend us from Dark Magic. Whomever told you is lying!"

Charles snapped, "Silence you little Mud…" He caught himself, but it was too late. All eyes were on him, and they were all glaring at him. If looks could kill Charles Potter would have died several times over.

"You want to repeat yourself?!" Gabriel took his glasses off, "I was being nice, albeit a little difficult before, but now I'm telling you to get out!"

"And don't let the door hit you on the arse on the way out!" Severus said defiantly.

"Shut up you horrid mutt! If your mother hadn't married below her station you wouldn't be here!"

Severus was seeing red, but Black Donal was holding him back a bit.

Sirius was about to say something, but he was the first to notice Gabriel stand up, took out his wand, and placed it upon the desk.

Charles had his back turned towards Gabriel so he didn't see him approach him.

The kids all saw him approach Charles Potter with a furious look on his face. "Oy, Chuckie!"

Charles Potter turned around standing face to face with Gabriel Schell.

He was taken aback but quickly put on a smug face, "Do I have your attention now?"

Gabriel didn't answer, a beat passed, and then he forcefully slugged Charles Potter right across his face knocking him out.

Gabriel felt the cartilage in Charles' nose break under his fist, and he'd be lying if he didn't feel better afterwards.

Lord Charles Potter fell to the ground, knocked out stone cold. Caddaric, Emily, and Peter were behind him and rushed away from his falling body.

Everyone was in a state of shock. They couldn't believe what had just happened.

Just then Clive popped back into the classroom with a tray holding a pot of peppermint tea and gingersnaps. The elf was confused at the deafing silence. He turned around and was shocked to see Lord Potter on the ground, blood gushing from his broken nose. Clive looked up at Gabriel and raised the tray up towards him. "Gingersnap?"
