Chapter 3 Excuses, Chill, and dating

"So me get this straight Akihisa," said Mr Nishimura as he read the medical letter in his hand. Akihisa had arrived at school a little early to give his teachers a report why he was acting weird. "You woke up with a headache and tried to find some aspirin and accidentally took your fathers migraine meds that were expired and got high."

Akihisa couldn't help but hung his head in shame, well it was more of an act but he had to admit it sounded like something he would do. "Sorry sir."

"You're an idiot," said Iron man as he put the letter down. "You're lucky you got a doctor's note or else I would have given you remedial classes for the rest of your days at this school. Next time make sure you're taking the correct meds and that you read the bottle before taking them, now head back to the classroom."

Aki left his teacher as he headed to his old classroom, or rather his current classroom. 'Wow this feels weird and nostalgic. This time I won't have a horrible school time, this time things will be different, hopefully, I mean I can't make it any worse can I?'

"AKIHISA"

"AHHH" screamed Akihisa as he entered the classroom. He quickly calmed down as he saw all of his friends staring at him. "Oh hey guys, how's it going?"

Yuuji stepped forward and grabbed his head. "'How's it going?' Are you serious what the hell happened yesterday man?"

"Yeah are you okay?" Minami asked, worried. Himeji had tears leaking from her eyes, which made Akihisa feel terrible, but at the same time part of him was really happy to see the two. He honestly just wanted to hug the two, and hang out with his friends again like old times.

Though he knew he couldn't do that right now. "Um, well actually funny story."

Akihisa then told him the cover story him and Mia came up with.

Yuuji gave Akihisa a deadpan look. "So let me get this straight, you accidentally took your old man's med by accident thinking it was aspirin and got high." Akihisa nodded. "You dumbass. I knew you were stupid but I didn't think you were stupdi enough to get high by accident."

"I have to agree with Yuuji here," said Hideyoshi, "You just reached a whole level of stupid."

"Wait a minute, what happened after you ran out of the school?" asked Himeji.

"Oh I ran back to my apartment and scared my neighbor who called my parents who then called my grandparents who took me to the hospital, though on a plus side my grandma made me lunch today." he said proudly holding up a box lunch.

Minami then grabbed Akihisa's shirt. "You idiot don't scare us like that. You almost gave me and Himeji a heart attack."

Minami stopped as they heard sniffing from Himeji. "I'm so glad that everythings alright."

Akihisa's heart squeezed for a moment. "Himeji."

The class room door suddenly opened up, "Alright all of you take your seats." said Mr. Nishimura

"IRON MAN!" yelled Akihisa 'Oh right, this is around the time he became our homeroom teacher.'

"Oh that's right you were here yesterday so you don't know, I'm your new homeroom teacher. Now sit down or I'll give you an remedial class." said the new homeroom teacher.

"Man I can't believe I have to deal with Iron man on a daily basis." said Akihisa as he and his friends were now hanging out on the school roof. "Hey you think if we fought in a summoner test war we could get out of this?"

"Nope, rules say that once a class loses they can't declare war on another class war for three months." said Yuuji

"Oh yeah."

"You knew that?" asked Hideyoshi

"Uh yeah I mean I'm the only one with a special avatar so I've heard the rules a few times." said Akishisa though while he said that Yuuji was eyeing him closely.

Kouta then appeared holding a picture. "On another note, I got something here that might interest you and it's only 500 yen."

Akihisa got a closer look at the picture. "A picture of Hideyoshi." Akishisa then remembered his weird thing for Hideyoshi. 'Oh yeah I had a book of those, I mean sure Hideyoshi is a Hideyoshi but after Mia and all the other girls I dated over the years, this just doesn't do it for me.'

"Yo Akihisa, are you going to buy the picture or not?"

"Huh oh no thanks." shocking the others who thought he would buy it. "Sorry Kouta but I'm in a different league than you." said Akihisa a little smug. 'I've already had relationships before, no need to waste time with…' Akihisa then realized something. "WAIT A MINUTE!" he shouted, confusing people even more. 'That's right after highschool I went on dates with several girls, including the waitress at my first job, but do those still count or is Mia the only other girl I've been with. Can I still brag about those experiences?'

"Um hey we aren't interrupting anything are we?" The boys turned to see Himeji and Minami. "We need to talk about where we are going this weekend and what time are we meeting?"

Akihisa tilted his head in confusion. "Meeting? What?"

"You promised me crepes remember." said Minami

"Oh that sounds like fun can I join you two?" asked Himeji

Akihisa then remembered his first date with both of them was supposed to be this weekend. "Uh yeah sure that would be great."

"Wow you already got a date with both girls," said Mia who came over to drink with Akihisa after school. "I'm impressed, not gonna lie didn't think you would be able to work that fast." She then took a spi of her beer. "This isn't going to cause any changes will it?"

"Huh no this actually happened last time." explained Akihisa as he whipped something up for them to eat. 'I'm so glad I didn't waste my money like last time.'

"Huh? Wait you mean you had a date with these two girls before at the exact same time?" Mia had to admit she was surprised. "Wow and here I thought you saying that they both liked you was you just tooting your own horn."

"Yeah now that I think about it I was really stupid back then, I though Minami hated me and Himeji had a crush on Yuuji." Akihisa realized with his new years of experience he had been really dumb with the girls. "Well at least this time I should have enough money to eat on this date."

Mia raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean by that?" Akihisa then retold the events of the date that happened the first time around, giving Mia a good laugh. "Wow what did you spend the money on?"

"Oh just some video games." he lied. 'I actually spent it on some porn mags but I can't tell her that.' "I just hope this time I won't say something stupid."

"Well if you want you can just take one of my chill pills."

"What do you mean like a literal chill pill?"

Mia nodded. "Wait one sec." as she left the apartment returning in a minute, holding a small pill bottle. "Tada a chill pill, able to slow down the brains signals to give you more time to think things through before you say something stupid."

"Really! Wow these are going to be really useful." he said while holding the bottle as if it were a magic item.

'He really is cute, I wonder when I should tell them those are just breath mints?' she thought.

"Man your quick, how did you get to your car and back so quickly?"

"Huh? My car? I just went to my apartment and grabbed them, luckily they were on top of a box."

"What a minute I thought your apartment was on the other side of town."

"No my new apartment is right next door."

"Oh I see...WAIT YOUR MY NEW NEIGHBOR?!" he said in shock.

"Yeah what did you think those boxes I asked you to grab from my car were for?" said Mia, holding in a laugh from Akihisa's stupidity, he couldn't reply as he didn't have an answer. "Besides it would be best if we watched each other back, so being neighbors should help." she then got up from her chair and sauntered over to the kitchen and gave Akihisa a deep kiss. "Not to mention it would make things a lot more easier for us to have some alone time." she said in a seducing voice.

Akihisa gulped. "You wouldn't happen to have more of those blank pills?"

"I do," she then said before walking away. "But we have more important things to worry about like dinner and I want to hear more stories about your highschool days, your class seems like a riot." Akihisa then told her several stories about his highschool as they ate and while moving some of Mia's stuff in her new apartment. 'Man that school seems like fun, I wonder if I could join in on any of that? Wait a minute I think I can.'

Akihisa was waiting by the fountain for his dates to arrive. 'Okay here it goes,' as he swallowed the breath mint. 'I hope this pill works.'

"Hey Aki," said Minami as walked over in a cute blouse and shorts. "You okay?"

"Oh yeah I'm doing just fine." he said. 'Okay just keep it cool.'

"Hi Yoshii," said Himeji, walking towards them in a cute summer dress.

"Hey Himeji,' said Minami, "You look adorable in that outfit."

"Oh thanks, you look cute as well." said Himeji

"Well I think you both look fantastic." said Akihisa causing both girls to blush. 'Oh shit don't tell me I screwed up already. Calm down I didn't say anything I'm just over reacting.' "So let's head to the movies." They soon began to make their way to the cinemas with both girls by his side. When they got there Akihisa was looking at the movies playing. "Well they're all the same price so the movie length shouldn't really matter."

He was about to decide when he heard the sounds of chains. "Take your pick Yuuji."

The three turned to see Shouko holding a chain that was connected to Yuuji's cuffs. "War and Peace, good choice."

"WHAT THAT'S A SEVEN HOUR MOVIE!" yelled Yuuji.

"We'll watch it twice." Before Yuuji could say anything Shouko then shocked Yuuji with her taser turning him into a burnt zombie. "Two tickets for the next two showing please."

Himeji and Minami eyes sparkled as they saw the two. "It's so great those two can just express their feelings towards each other."

"There so lucky." said Minami

'No they're not,' screamed Akihisa in his head. 'Did you two not see her tase him, he could be dead right now.'

After the movie the three went and got crepes like Minami wanted, she ordered the banana crepe and Himeji got the strawberry crepe, and this time since he had money now Akihisa got a blueberry crepe. "Oh man this is so good." he said enjoying the crepe.

"Yeah this strawberry crepe is amazing." said Himeji.

"Oh yeah this banana crepe really hits the spot." said Minami. "How's your crepe Aki."

"Fantastic," 'especially now that I get to eat it and I don't have to starve.' "Though maybe next time I'll try one of the other crepes, they all look so good."

Minami quickly took her fork and pulled a piece of crepe off, "Here Aki try some of mine."

Himeji took some of hers off. "Here try some of mine as well."

"Mine first."

"It doesn't matter which one he tries first."

'Wow they both really want me to try their crepes.' Akhisha happily opened his mouth for the two to feed him, only to remember far too late what was about to happen.

Soon several forks flew by like kunai embedding themselves in the wall. "I can't believe you, you weren't about to share your sweet lips with this filthy pig, he was harassing you wasn't he." said Miharu

Akihisa without even thinking reached over and grabbed a plate and was about to use it as a shield when he realized it was Minami's crepe. 'Oh shit, my chef reflexes kicked in.' as he remembered how many times he had to deal with drunk customers.'

"Are you holding my darlings food hostage, you coward." yelled Miharu.

Akihisa quickly put down the plate and grabbed his own and held it out. "Would you like some?"

"Huh?"

"Aki what are you doing?" asked Minami.

"Look Miharu, I think we just got off on the wrong foot, I'm sure if we all calmed down we could be friends." said Akihisa trying to give the crazed lesbian an olive branch. Miharu slowly lowered the forks and her head. 'Whoa this might work, the chill pill rocks.'

Miharu then started to shake as an evil aura surrounded her. "You pig, not only are you trying to seduce my love but your coming after me as well."

"Huh?"

"DIE YOU PIG!"

Akihisa, Minami and Himeji all ran out of the cafe with Miharu hot on their heels. "What the hell were you thinking Akihisa?" screamed Minami

"I was just trying to solve things peacefully."

"You can't be peaceful with a woman that crazy."

"Now's not the time to fight you two, we need away out of this situation." said Himeji

Akihisa then remembered how this ended. "Oh man if I had my avatar, I could stop her, wait my avatar, that's it. I can't believe I'm saying this but we need to get to the school." as the three ran towards the school.

The three made it to school and found one of the teachers. "Ms Takeuchi" they yelled, getting the classic japanese teacher's attention. "We need to practice an ST war."

"Oh sure I don't see why not." as Ms Takeuchi put a summoner field.

'Alright it's been awhile but it's now or never.' thought Akihisa. "Summon" A small chibi version of Akihisa appeared just like how he remembered. "Okay let's do this."

Soon both Minami and Himeji summoned their avatars as well. Just as Miharu caught up to them. "How rude, I'll teach you to come in between me and my love. Summon"

Miharu's avatar then charged the other. "Alright this should be a snap with Himeji's avatar this should be a snap." Himeji's avatar moved a head for a moment before something flew past her hitting the wall next to Miharu so hard it stopped everyone. "Whoa what was that?"

Everyone looked at the wall as a spider web like crack appeared and began to spread reaching the ceiling causing several chunks of concrete to fall. "What the…" was all Miharu could say as she saw the ceiling getting closer to her.

"Get out of the way." yelled Akihisa as he tackled Miharu to the ground out of the way of the rumble. Akihisa quickly stood up and moved a bit away from Miharu, so she didn't think anything was wrong. "Hey are you okay?"
Miharu looked at Akihisa in surprise. "Why did you save me, I'm your opponent?"

"Huh? Are you nuts just because we're having a mock battle doesn't mean I want you dead." said Akihisa

"No you idiot, if something were to happen to me you would have had Minami all to yourself." shouted Miharu causing Minami to drop.

"Ms Miharu are you alright, did you see what hit the wall?" asked as she regained her composure.

"Don't worry she's fine." said Minami, picking herself up.

"Still, what hit the wall?" asked Himeji as everyone focused on the wall.

Everyone saw a small hand reach out of the hole as Akihisa's avatar came out of the wall. "IT'S MY AVATAR!" yelled Akihisa shocked seeing his avatar coming out of the hole, "But it was right back there, how?" he looked back to see his avatar flickering in and out with parts of it turning into ones and zeros. "What the hell is going on with my avatar?"

stepped forward. "Mr. Yoshii, has this ever happened before?"

"Uh no never." said Akihisa, still confused. 'What the hell this never happened last time, what the hell changed!'

Miharu's avatar charged it. "Either way it's still my opponent." as Miharu's blade was about to hit Akihisa's avatar, his avatar glitched behind Miharu's and hit her. "What! How did it do that?" His avatar was weaker but a green mark appeared on Miharu's avatar and her numbers were going down by the second. "Hey what's going on, why are my numbers going down?"

In a matter of seconds Miharu's numbers hit zero and the sound of iron man rushing down the hall could be heard. "Those who die in a war must go to remedial classes." as he grabbed Miharu. " what happened here?"

eyed Akihisa. "I'm not entirely sure, but I can handle things from here."

"Very well."

"Hold it one second." said Akihisa as he walked towards Miharu. "Can I talk to her for one second."

"Make it quick."

"What the hell do you want?" she asked before he handed her a small photo.

He then whispered in her ear. "Kouta, our class photographer, sells these for a price I thought I give them to you as a peace offering."

She looked at the photo and saw Minami on it and smiled. "Oh wow, this is amazing, a photo of my love. Alright pig I'll let you go this time, but don't expect this to be a regular thing."

"It's a start." said Akihisa, satisfied that he might get her off his back. She then was hauled away by Nishimura.

"Mr. Yoshii" said , getting his attention. "We need to talk about this." as she pointed towards the wrecked hallway. "Your avatar did cause quite a bit of damage."

"Oh right."

"And after that I had to say goodbye to both Minami and Himeji, cause I had to stay behind and fix everything." as Akihisa told the day's event to Mia. They both were sitting at his table while he did some homework and she did paperwork. "But it was weird, my avatar never glitched out like that before."

Mia put aside her paperwork for a moment. "Your avatars are like other schools with avatars right, they assign numbers based off of tests scores right." He nodded. "But your avatar can affect the real world right," he nodded once more. "Then that means your avatar also obeys the physics of the real world so there's several numbers that need to be on point for it to work, mainly the controllers points."

"Huh my points?"

"You can feel what your avatar feels, right. Then that means the avatar sends signals to your brain and vice versa, and your brain has changed over time."

Akihisa was piecing it together. "So you mean cause I'm from the future, my avatar has gone haywire."

Mia began to sweat. 'If that's the case then could they find changes in our brain, actually that's something I haven't checked yet, how were our brains changed through our time travel? This is bad if his school finds something then that could lead to questions and even more headache. I got to find a way into that school and fix this.' She then leaned back in her chair. "Hey Aki."

"Hmm what's up?"

"You called her Ms. Takeuchi right."

"The teacher, yeah that's her name . Why?"

"She's single?"

"Yeah."

"I might need you to seduce her."

"Okay…..WAIT WHAT!"
