It was now morning the next day, and the group were all in a hut in the village, eating some food provided by the Pagumon.
"Here's your ice, perv," Impmon said with a snicker, as he handed Naruto a bag of ice, which he placed on his swollen cheek.
"I did not do that on purpose!" Naruto yelled, before he winced as he held the ice to his cheek.
"Humph, yeah right. I bet you enjoyed it" Mimi said with a scowl, before she went back to her food, looking away from Naruto.
Naruto frowned at this, as he gained a depressed cloud around himself, while Impmon patted him on the back in comfort.
"Try to cut him a break, Mimi. He thought you were in trouble" Sora whispered to her, from her seat.
Mimi said nothing to this, as she went back to her food along with Palmon.
"Well, at least these guys are good hosts," Tai said with a smile as he ate, while Agumon sat next to him, frowning in thought.
"I don't know. My nose is never wrong Tai. I smelled Koromon, I know it" Agumon said, as he frowned.
"Maybe Koromon lived here, before these guys moved in," Joe said with a shrug.
Agumon frowned at this, as it did seem possible.
"If you're that worried Agumon, we can take a look around the village," Naruto said, as he removed the ice from his cheek so he could talk.
"No, don't do that!" some of the Pagumon yelled in a panic, dropping the food they were carrying.
"Oh, that's a good sign," Matt said with a frown at this.
"Yea, what's wrong with looking around?" TK asked them curiously.
"Just take our word for it" one of the Pagumon said with a nervous chuckle.
"Oh sure, we're gonna buy that," Naruto said with a sarcastic tone.
"Do you want me to make them talk?" Impmon asked with a grin, as he made some flames appear over his fingers
"Uh, that's a little mean, isn't it?" Joe asked with a frown.
"Indeed. We don't know if they are evil yet" Izzy said with his own frown.
"Ahhhh! What is this?!" Mimi yelled, getting everyone's attention.
What stood out, was what looked like a Botamon was sitting in her lap.
"A Botamon!" Palmon yelled, surprised at seeing the baby Digimon.
"That's the baby form before Koromon" Agumon said with a scowl, as he glared at the Pagumon.
The Pagumon all froze at this, as everyone glared at them accusingly.
"Impmon, do what you have to do to make them talk" Sora said as she glared at the Pagumon.
"Cool! I'm gonna need a bucket of water, and to be in my champion form!" Impmon yelled with a mad grin.
This got confused looks from the others.
"Wait, you're going to use the water to amplify your lightning as Wizardmon?" Izzy asked with wide eyes.
"Your gonna torture them?!" Palmon asked in shock.
"I don't know…am I?" Impmon asked with a manic grin, as he slowly approached the Pagumon, while Naruto held a bucket full of water up, with his own grin on his face.
"We were just doing what we were told!" the Pagumon screamed in terror at this.
"On whose orders?" Tai asked with a frown.
"Etemon! He told us if we kept you here, we could finally have a village of our own!" the Pagumon yelled out.
"Etemon?" Sora asked curiously, looking at Biyomon with a raised eyebrow.
"He's a powerful Digimon from what I've heard, but that's all I know," Biyomon said with a frown.
"For now, we should save the Koromon" Tai said with a determined look on his face, as he nodded at Agumon.
"And you are gonna lead us to where you are keeping them," Matt said to the Pagumon firmly.
"Yea, or else…" Sora said, leaving the threat hanging, as Impmon smiled madly and Naruto held up the bucket with a savage smile.
"Follow us!" the Pagumon all yelled, as they led the way out of the hut.
"Leave it to the imp to know how to make the enemy talk" Mimi said with a frown at Impmon.
"You gonna give me a fat lip for trying to be helpful too?" Impmon said with a glare at Mimi.
Mimi blinked at this, before she scowled at Impmon.
"Impmon, enough" Naruto said firmly, as he held his ice pack to his face, wincing in pain as they left.
Mimi frowned at this, as she didn't like seeing Naruto in pain and now feeling guilty for hitting him.
(Outside the village)
The Pagumon led the team up the river, towards a big waterfall.
Agumon started to sniff the air, as they got closer to the waterfall. "I smell Koromon," he said with a grin.
"They are all locked up in cages behind the waterfall," one of the Pagumon said, as he pointed at the waterfall with his ear.
"Good, now get lost," Impmon said with a scowl at them.
The Pagumon all jumped in fear at this, as they were still scared of Impmon after his threat.
Naruto frowned at this, before he approached the Pagumon. "Look, if you guys want a village of your own, you should all work hard and build one. There are a lot of you, and I bet you lot could actually do it if you tried" he said, as he crouched before them.
The Pagumon all blinked at this. "Y-you really think so?" one of them asked him.
"Of course. Anything worth having, is worth working hard for" Naruto said with a smile at the Pagumon, before he stood up and followed the others towards the waterfall
The Pagumon said nothing to this, before they all hopped off.
Everyone walked behind the waterfall, and saw there was a big cave, where there were several cages filled with Koromon.
"Who are all of you?" one of the Koromon asked curiously, as the others looked at them in curiosity and some with fear.
"Relax, we're the Digidestined, here to free all of you" Tai said with a smile at them.
"You can all go back to your village. We made the Pagumon all leave" Sora said, as she also smiled at the Koromon.
The Koromon all cheered at this, as the Digimon opened the cages.
{"Hey, is this thing on? Uh huh huh"} a voice said from outside.
"Hey, who's doing a bad impression of Elvis?" Naruto asked, as he looked around.
Everyone ran outside of the cave, and saw what looked like a giant hologram of Etemon towering over the trees, holding a guitar and talking into a microphone.
Naruto looked at the monkey Digimon and gained a flat look on his face, before he looked at the partner digimon. "Please tell me that's not the enemy," he said thinking this must be a joke
"It's Etemon!" the Koromon all yelled in a panic, as they started to shake in fear.
"Afraid not," Impmon said with an annoyed tone.
"Etemon is a fully digivolved Digimon, who uses his Dark Network attack to overwhelm his opponents" Tentomon said.
{"You Digidestined think you're so tough, just because you took out that drama king Devimon. But the king of rock n roll is here to take you brats down a peg! Uh huh huh"} Etemon said with a smile, as he held his guitar and strummed it, making the ground shake and for green lighting to start to strike down randomly around them.
"This guy is that powerful?!" Joe yelled in a panic, as rocks started to fall around them.
"I don't care how strong this wannabe Elvis is!" Naruto yelled, as he took out his digivice and held it out in front.
"Yea, let's get him Gabumon!" Matt yelled, as he held out his Digivice too.
"Let's torch this monkey!" Tai yelled with a grin, as he held out his own digivice
"Impmon digivolve to….Wizardmon!"
"Gabumon digivolve to…. Garurumon!"
"Agumon digivolve to…. Greymon!"
{"When you're looking for a digivolution, guess what, the answer is no!"} Etemon sang, as he strummed his guitar. This caused the three digivolved Digimon to groan, as they held their ears as they de-digivolved.
"They lost their power?" Sora asked, shocked at this, along with the others.
"He's draining our power," Agumon said with a groan, as he winced.
"This is bull crap!" Impmon yelled out as he scowled.
"This is a coward's move, you wannabe loser!" Naruto bellowed at the hologram of Etemon.
Etemon's eyebrow twitched at this, before he chuckled. {"That's big talk for a brat, who's Digimon can't fight back! Ahahahahaha!"} Etemon laughed, as he strummed his guitar again, causing the area around them to shake even more.
"Everyone, take cover in the cave!" Matt yelled to everyone, who ran back into the cave.
Everyone ran into the cave and followed the tunnel, until they reached a dead end.
"Oh great, a dead end," Sora said with a frown.
"We use this cave to hide, if our village is attacked" one of the Koromon said, before the cavern started to shake.
"And what if the cave is under attack!?" Joe yelled out in a panic.
Before anyone could respond, his Tai's started to glow orange.
"What the?" Tai said, as he looked at the tag.
"Look at the wall!" Izzy yelled, as he pointed at the wall, which had a symbol on it that looked like a sun.
The symbol glowed bright, before the wall shrunk down and then flew over to Tai's tag and flew into it, before it stopped glowing.
"It must be your crest," TK said with an excited smile at Tai.
Tai nodded at this, before he looked at the now open passage. "There is a light at the end of this tunnel guys. Let's go!" he yelled, as he led them all out.
They soon arrived outside of the cave, and saw there were massive hills and a forest.
"Wow, these mountains are very far from our village!" one of the Koromon said with wide eyes.
"Looks like we are safe for now" Mimi said, as she sighed in relief.
"We need to make a plan to deal with monkey boy" Matt said with a frown, as he crossed his arms.
"How are we gonna fight this guy? He easily had us cornered" Joe said as he frowned.
"Don't worry gang, I have a plan" Tai said with a grin, as he led everyone down to the forest.
"Well, I hope it's a good one" Sora said, as they all followed him.
(Later)
Everyone was sitting down, as they watched Agumon as Tai made him eat, while leaving the rest of them with nothing to eat.
"This is bull!" Impmon yelled out in anger.
"So is Tai's plan to fatten Agumon up, and use him to squash Etemon?" Naruto asked with a cocked eyebrow.
"No, smart ass. I'm the only one who has a crest right now, so we need to focus on keeping Agumon ready, so we can digivolve him and have him destroy Etemon" Tai said, looking back at the group.
"So, you are gonna make the rest of us go without, because you think only you can do anything?" Matt asked with a scowl
"I say we mutiny!" Impmon yelled to the other Digimon partners.
"Normally, I wouldn't agree with you, but I'm hungry," Palmon said with a frown, as she readied her vines to attack Tai.
"I have a better idea. All in favor of taking our food back, and kicking Tai in the kidneys if he stops us, say aye!" Naruto yelled to the group.
"Aye!" everyone yelled with their fists raised.
Tai blinked at this, as the group marched towards him.
"I would move Tai. I think Naruto meant it when he said to kick you in the kidneys" Izzy said as he patted Tai on the shoulder, as everyone took their food back, while still leaving Tai and Agumon with their food.
Tai said nothing to this, as he chuckled nervously as Impmon made kicking motions with his feet.
"You have a lot to learn about being a leader," Naruto said with a sigh.
"After we are done eating, we should get moving," Matt said, as he ate some fruit.
"Yea. If we keep moving, we should be able to track down more crests" Izzy said, as he nodded in agreement.
"Even if we find them, will it matter if we can't activate them?" Joe asked with a frown.
"Way to stay positive Joe" Matt said with a frown.
"Eh, I'm not that worried," Naruto said simply, as he swallowed some fruit.
"Why is that sensei?" TK asked curiously, as he and Patamon tilted their heads curiously.
"Well, think about it; there were Digidestined before us, right?" Naruto asked, as he raised an eyebrow at the group.
"That's what Renamon and Gennai told us" Sora said, as she nodded along with the others
"So most likely, they had to do this too," Naruto said, as he looked at the others.
"Ah, so you're thinking we should just focus on the other crests and eventually, we will find a way to activate them" Izzy said, as he thought to himself.
"Well, it's a better scenario then whatever the fearless leader was thinking" Matt said with a nod, as they all looked at Tai, who looked to the side, who was scratching his cheek while chuckling nervously.
(Later)
Everyone was walking through the desert, while also keeping an eye out for anything, be it a structure or a Digimon.
"I'm thirsty, bro" TK said, as he pulled on Matt's pant leg.
Matt nodded at this, before he handed his canteen to TK.
"I'm so glad that Mimi had those with her supplies," Sora said in relief, as she drank from her own canteen.
"Hey, fearless leader, have you found anything yet?" Naruto yelled at Tai, who was further ahead of them, looking through his telescope.
"Yeah, what's going on, oh fearless one?" Impmon asked.
"Nothing yet. But I think I saw a mural or something" Tai said, as he stopped to look at something.
"If it's of Etemon, let's destroy it" Sora said with a chuckle
"Do it! Do it, do it, do it!" Impmon and Naruto yelled together, making some of the others laugh.
"No! If we did that, he might come after us" Joe yelled in a panic.
"I don't think it's of Etemon" Tai said, as he focused a bit to get a better look.
"Really? Let me take a look" Naruto said as he approached, and took the telescope from Tai.
"Oi!" Tai said, as he didn't like Naruto just taking his stuff.
Naruto ignored this, and looked and saw there was indeed a stone mural in the middle of nowhere. It was a circle, with what looked like a crescent moon on one side, and a wavy one on the other side.
"Huh, looks almost like that wall before it turned into your crest, Tai," Naruto said, as he handed him back his pocket telescope.
"Uh, cuz?" Sora said, as she pointed at Naruto's chest.
Naruto looked down and smiled, as he saw his tag glowing a violet color.
"It must be your crest," Mimi said with a smile.
"That's a sound theory" Izzy said, as he nodded in agreement.
"Alright! Ultimate level, here I come!" Impmon yelled with a wide grin, as he pumped his fist.
"Is there a watering hole near this mural? I'm starting to sweat out of areas I didn't think I could sweat from" Tentomon said as he flew over.
"There was a small one near it, so let's go get my crest while we rest up," Naruto said with a grin at everyone, before they all started to walk.
After a bit of walking, they made it to the mural which was bigger than they thought, and towered over them.
"Water! Finally!" Gomamon yelled, as he and the other Digimon ran over to the watering hole nearby, with Gomamon jumping in.
"There's some fruit trees here too," Joe said as he picked a piece of fruit, and passed it to Sora to inspect.
"Looks like something has been living here" Izzy said, as he looked at a makeshift bed made of leaves from some trees nearby, and what looked like some remains of fish near it.
"What if it comes back?" Mimi asked, slightly worried about this.
"Relax. I'll just get my crest, and we can go" Naruto said with a smile at her, as he held out his tag to the mural.
The mural started to grow and soon it shrunk down, and flew into his tag.
"Got it, now we can -" Naruto was saying, before they heard some shaking inside a bush nearby.
"Ah! It's probably an evil Digimon!" Joe yelled in a panic, thinking this was too easy.
Mimi instantly hid behind Naruto, while the others all stood at the ready.
Naruto approached the bush and looked into it, and after a few moments, he saw what looked like a pair of yellow eyes.
Before Naruto could respond, he was tackled by what looked like a small red dinosaur, with a white chest with a black mark on its chest
"Mintomon!" the red dinosaur yelled happily, as it hugged Naruto.
"Ah! Dinosaur!" Joe yelled out in fear.
"Is that what he is?" TK asked Patamon curiously.
"No, that's a Guilmon" Patamon said, as he shook his head.
"Awww, it's adorable," Mimi said with a smile at the red dinosaur that was licking Naruto like a puppy.
"Naruto, get away from him, before he decides that your lunch!" Joe yelled.
"Relax, Guilmon is a sweetheart from what I've heard," Palmon said with a grin at the lizard.
"Well, he still needs to get off, before he smothers Naruto" Sora said with a chuckle.
"Huh?" Guilmon said, as he looked at the rest of them for a moment, before he looked back at Naruto, who finally got up. "Hey, you're not Mintomon" he said, before he frowned and his ears went down.
"Yea, sorry about that" Naruto said with a sheepish chuckle, as he wiped his face, not really bothered by Guilmon.
"You kinda smell like Mintomon" Guilmon said, as he sniffed Naruto curiously.
"Well, I'm not this Mintomon. I'm just here to get my crest" Naruto said, as he held up his tag.
"The crest!" Guilmon yelled in a panic, before he ran to the mural. "Ah, it's gone!" he yelled, as he started to look around in a panic.
"Uh, he's a little slow, isn't he?" Tai asked Agumon with a raised eyebrow.
"Hush," Sora said with a frown, along with Mimi at this.
"He said he took the crest already, you nitwit" Impmon said, getting closer to Guilmon.
"It was my job to protect it, until -" Guilmon was saying, before he looked at Impmon and sniffed at him, before his eyes slitted and he started to growl at Impmon.
"What's gotten into you, dino brain?" Impmon asked with a curious look.
"Woah there, big guy. Impmon may be a jerk, but he's a good guy. He's my partner" Naruto said, as he approached and patted Guilmon on the head to try and calm him down.
Guilmon's eyes went back to normal at this. "Impmon is partner?" he asked curiously, as he tilted his head.
"Yup. We're the Digidestined, and -" Izzy was explaining, before he was cut off.
"Digidestined! I'm supposed to give the crest to Digidestined!" Guilmon yelled, before he went to the now blank mural, and started to dig around it, trying to find the crest.
"Hey, you should calm down," Matt said, as he frowned at this.
"No rest. Need to find crest, and give it to Digidestined, so I can see Mintomon again!" Guilmon yelled, as he dug some more, sending dirt everywhere and getting on the others.
"Hey! Hey! Watch the hair!" Mimi yelled, as she took cover.
"He really wants to make sure we got the crest" Sora said, as she patted her head to get any stray dirt off it.
Naruto frowned at this, as he approached Guilmon. "Hey relax, I have it, look" he said, as he took out his tag, which had his crest.
Guilmon looked up and sniffed at the crest, before smiling. I did it! Now I can go see Mintomon!" he yelled happily, with his claws raised in the air.
This got smiles from the others, glad Guilmon wasn't panicking anymore.
"How long have you been here guarding the crest?" Izzy asked curiously, finding this odd.
"Since Mintomon and friends went home, a very long time. I was told when crest was found by new Digidestined, I would see Mintomon again soon after" Guilmon said, as his tail wagged happily.
"Well, I'm glad I could help you," Naruto said with a chuckle, as he pet Guilmon on the head.
"You remind me of Mintomon, but different," Guilmon said, as he smiled at Naruto.
"You must miss him a lot," Biyomon said, as she looked at Guilmon.
"Uh huh, he my best friend," Guilmon said, as he nodded happily.
"Well, don't worry. I'm sure you will see him again, if you stay here like you were told" Tai said, as he gave the dinosaur a thumbs up.
"Where should we go now?" Agumon asked Tai curiously.
"Hmmmmm. Hey Guilmon, are there any landmarks near here?" Gabumon asked his fellow Digimon.
"Huh?" Guilmon asked, not understanding the word used.
"He means is there any place important nearby" Naruto said, trying to keep it simple.
"Oh! There is colosseum" Guilmon said, as he led the way to where there was a small hill of sand.
Everyone followed him, and saw that on the horizon, there indeed was a colosseum.
"Why is there a colosseum in the middle of the desert?" Izzy asked curiously.
"Monkey man go there to make noise, and keep me up at night" Guilmon said with a growl.
"Monkey man?! Ha!" Naruto said with a laugh at this, along with Impmon.
"Well, we should probably head there then. Maybe we can find a hint to a weakness of his or something" Matt said to the group.
"It's as good an idea as any," Joe said with a shrug.
"Thanks for the help Guilmon" Naruto said, as he smiled and patted the dinosaur Digimon on the head, before he left with the others.
Guilmon watched Naruto leave, and smiled as he thought about his old friend. "He has hair like Mintomon and smells similar to him too! Maybe I'll see him again too!" he thought happily, as he went back to his camp.
(Later, at the colosseum)
Everyone walked into the colosseum, and saw it was really big and had what looked like a big screen monitor on the wall. And on each end of the colosseum, there was a soccer net.
"Wow, look at this place!" TK yelled, as he ran around to take a look, Patamon close behind him.
"Wow, imagine playing soccer in this place" Sora said with a smile, as she looked around.
"Hey, is anyone up for a game?" Naruto asked with a grin.
"I found a ball!" TK yelled, as he kicked the ball over to them.
"That sounds great. The human team vs the Digimon team" Matt said with a smile.
"How do you play?" Biyomon asked curiously.
"Basically, you have to get the ball into our net, while stopping us from getting it in yours at the sametime" Izzy said, keeping it simple.
"You can only use your feet, and only the one guarding the net can use their hands" Sora explained, as she juggled the ball a bit on her knee.
This sent the ball flying and Palmon caught it.
"Nice catch. The goalie can touch the ball, so you should be your team's goalie" Sora said to Palmon.
Palmon nodded at this, and tossed the ball, which flew towards Tai.
Tai just kicked the ball hard, and sent it flying into the stands.
"Hey, what's your deal?" Naruto asked with a scowl.
"Yeah, we're wanting to have some fun," Joe said with a nod.
"We don't have time for this. We need to focus on Etemon, and beating him!" Tai yelled at the team.
"All work and no play makes Tai a dull boy," Sora said with a scowl.
"Yea, you have been acting like a jerk, since you got your crest" Matt said with an annoyed look.
"Yea, you don't see him being a jerk," Mimi said with a pout, pointing at Naruto.
"Well, he's not the leader!" Tai yelled, getting annoyed.
This got silence from everyone, who just looked at Tai.
"Maybe he should be the leader," Joe grumbled to himself.
"A sound possibility" Izzy mused, as he thought to himself.
"Yeah, he isn't acting like a jerk," Mimi said, with an annoyed look at Tai.
"Pass!" Naruto yelled out, as he made an x motion with his arms, and shook his head.
Sora shook her head at this, as she figured Naruto would pass on being leader.
Tai sighed slightly in relief at this, glad to hear Naruto say this.
"Why don't you want to be leader sensei?" TK asked curiously.
"Probably because he's lazy" Matt said as he scoffed, with his arms crossed.
"It's not that, bird nest hair" Naruto said, as he rolled his eyes at this, while some of the others laughed at his crack at Matt's hair.
"Let me guess, you feel you do better as support?" Sora asked curiously.
"Bingo cuz. I like to help people, not lead them. Though don't get it twisted, cause if I have to lead, I will. But I would prefer if captain buzzkill got that stick out of his as -" Naruto was saying, before he was cut off as Sora slapped him on the back of the head.
"Oi, watch it with the language around TK" Matt said firmly, as he glared at Naruto.
"Yea, good luck with that bird nest" Impmon said with a snicker.
Suddenly the giant monitor on the wall turned on, showing Etemon.
{"Sorry for the wait, you brats, but the king of rock and roll is here!" uh huh huh uh huh huh"} Etamon said with a grin.
"Dang it, he found us before I could claw my ears off," Naruto said with a flat tone.
This got laughs from some of the others, even Matt whose mouth was twitching, as he tried to hide a smile.
This caused Etemon to face plant, with his leg twitching on the screen, before he shot back to his feet. {"That's it! I'm gonna destroy you kids, for good this time!"} he yelled, as he pressed a button on a console.
This caused the wall nearby to explode, as what looked like a Greymon wearing a black collar stomped his way into the arena and roared
"Hey Agumon, is that a cousin of yours?" Naruto asked.
"Nah, it's probably his girlfriend," Impmon said with a snicker.
"Whatever it is, we're gonna teach it a lesson, and then we're gonna go after you, banana breath!" Tai yelled with a grin, as he held out his digivice.
"Agumon digivolve to…. Greymon!"
"Everyone take cover!" Matt yelled to the others, who quickly ran to one of the soccer goals.
Which suddenly slammed on them, trapping everyone but Naruto and Impmon inside, leaving them outside with Tai and Greymon, along with the evil Greymon.
{"Goal! I scored me 6 of you brats!"} Etemon yelled, as he laughed like a monkey.
"Let my friends out, before I get annoyed, you hack!" Naruto yelled.
"Yea, I heard dying cats sing better than you!" Impmon yelled with a grin.
Etemon's eyebrow twitched in annoyance at this, as Greymon started to fight the evil Greymon.
Greymon tried to use Nova Blast but he only burped, before the evil Greymon slammed his tail into his face, before he tackled him, sending him to the ground.
"Why is Greymon so weak?" TK asked curiously.
"Probably because he ate too much, even after we took all our food back" Matt said with a scowl.
"Nice job moron!" Impmon yelled at Tai, who scowled at this, as he gripped his crest in frustration.
"No! I refuse to lose. Greymon, we need to win. I refuse to lose to this guy! Now digivolve, and finish this poser and his master!" Tai yelled at Greymon.
This caused Tai's crest to glow with a dark aura, before it shot a beam of dark light at Greymon.
"Greymon digivolve to….SkullGreymon!"
The new Digimon was made completely of bones, with what looked like a rocket on his back.
"Oh jeez, this can't be good," Naruto said, as he and Impmon backed off a bit.
"Let him have it!" Tai yelled, as he pointed at the evil Greymon.
SkullGreymon roared at this, and slapped the Greymon away, making him slam into the wall, making it crack.
"Oh jeez" Naruto said, as he winced at this.
"You think that's bad. The others are gone" Impmon said, as he pointed at the soccer net cage, which was now empty.
"What?! What did you do, you baboon freak?!" Naruto yelled at Etemon's screen.
{"Wait, they got out?!"} Etemon yelled out in annoyance.
"Oi," Naruto and Impmon said with a groan, as they slapped their foreheads.
"Naruto!" Sora yelled, getting their attention, making Naruto and Impmon look over, and saw the others running over to them.
"How did you all get out?" Impmon asked curiously.
"Joe's crest showed us a secret way out," Mimi said with a smile, as Joe held up his tag, which indeed had a crest.
"Woah! What the heck is that?" TK yelled, as he pointed at SkullGreymon.
"Oh, that's Tai's Greymon digivolved, no big deal" Naruto said, with a wave of his hand.
"That's Agumon? Wow" Matt said, as they all watched SkullGreymon.
SkullGreymon roared, as he charged at the helpless evil Greymon, and grabbed him with his claw, before he threw him at the giant screen.
{"Hey! I just upgraded that, you miserable bag of bones!"} Etemon yelled, as the screen cracked and sparked.
SkullGreymon then aimed his back missile at the screen.
"Tai! Call him off, his opponent can't even fight back!" Naruto yelled at Tai.
Tai nodded at this. "Don't do it!" he yelled at SkullGreymon.
But the Digimon ignored Tai and fired the missile, which struck the screen and obliterated it, along with the evil Greymon.
Everyone gasped at this, finding this way too extreme against a helpless opponent.
Impmon watched this, his eyes widened in surprise, before he yelled in pain and grabbed his head, as flashes of images appeared in his head.
A demonic monster on a motorcycle with twin guns, laughing evilly, as he beat up some Digimon, while some teens nearby were glaring at him.
"Impmon! Are you ok?" Palmon yelled, as she ran to Impmon.
"Y-yea, I'm fine," Impmon said, as he held his head.
SkullGreymon roared loudly, as he fired more missiles at the colosseum walls.
"We need to stop him, before any of us get hurt," Sora said.
Tai watched this with a look of shock, as his friend went on a rampage.
"I-I didn't want this" Tai said, as he shook a little.
SkullGreymon ran through the wall, and ran into the desert.
"We need to go after him!" Naruto yelled at the others.
Everyone nodded in agreement at this, and followed Naruto, who grabbed Tai.
"Come on! We need to stop this, before it gets worse!" Naruto yelled at Tai, as he dragged him along.
Tai quickly shook his head at this, and followed them out of the colosseum.
They all saw SkullGreymon running into the desert, before he stopped as black smoke came off him, and he started to glow yellow, before he shrunk down.
"Oh thanks goodness, he's out of power" Biyomon said, as she flew next to Sora.
Everyone ran over to where SkullGreymon shrunk down, and saw where he once was, was now a Koromon.
"Koromon!" Tai yelled, as he ran over to his friend and picked him up.
"Wow, he is back to how he was when we first met him" Matt said.
"I can only assume it's because the next level of digivolution is so strong, it drains him a lot more, hence being in a weaker form" Izzy said, as he looked at Koromon curiously.
"Or Tai being a moron made him weaker," Naruto said with a pointed look at Tai.
"I know, I know. I didn't want this! Please Koromon, at least tell me your OK!" Tai said, as he hugged his friend.
"Uh Tai, I'm fine. What happened?" Koromon asked curiously.
"You digivolved, but I'm gonna guess not in the way you're supposed to" Sora said, as she approached them.
"Yea. I'm gonna guess wanting to cause pain or being reckless doesn't have a good effect on our partners" Naruto said, as he thought about this.
"Well, at least none of us was hurt," Matt said, trying to put everyone at ease.
"Hope that you learned something Tai" Sora said firmly, but not in a condescending way, knowing she should support Tai, not tear him down.
Tai nodded at this, as he hugged Koromon close.
"Ok, we should get out of here, before banana breath shows up for round two Sora said after she nodded and looked at the group.
"Technically, it would be round three," TK said helpfully.
"Him making us de-digivolve isn't a fight, it's being a punk ass bully," Naruto said with a scoff, as everyone started walking.
Impmon was silent as they walked, trying not to think about what he saw in his head, after he saw SkullGreymon's rampage.
"Hey, you ok?" Palmon asked curiously.
"Y-yea. I'll be ok, flower child" Impmon said as he nodded.
Palmon nodded at this, but frowned as she wasn't sure if Impmon was telling the truth.
As the group walked, they didn't notice Guilmon watching them from a hill of sand nearby.
"Wish I could have helped them a bit. I wish Mintomon was here, so I could have" Guilmon said with a pout.
{"Don't worry, you did enough for now"} a voice said behind him, making Guilmon turn around to see a hologram of Gennai.
"Ojisan!" Guilmon said with a happy smile, as his tail wagged, before he tried to hug the hologram, causing him to fall over.
Gennai chuckled at this. {"It's good to see you Guilmon. But I'm not here to catch up"} he said.
"Ah, you need my help?" Guilmon asked, as he got up and dusted the sand off.
{"Indeed I do. Myotismon is making moves to go to the human world"} Gennai said with a nod.
"Human world? Is he after Mintomon?!" Guilmon yelled, before his eyes slitted and he started to growl.
{"Now now, no need to get mad. I have a plan to help the Digidestined if he gets there….and you know it's Minato"} Gennai said with a chuckle, at the red lizard's name for his partner.
Guilmon chuckled at this, as he rubbed the back of his head sheepishly, as Gennai made a portal, which he walked through before it closed behind him.
