Chapter 15: An Intense Confrontation

*Uru's POV*

I was shocked when I saw Ahadi roughly carrying Lana down the stairs. "What are you doing!?" Mufasa shouted.

"Just trying to get some answers from her!" Ahadi yelled as he roughly dropped Lana. Lana whimpered with fright. I rushed over to comfort her. I held her in my arms to try to soothe her shaking body.

"Oh really? By roughly carrying her and dropping her!?" Mufasa yelled back.

"You'd be doing the same thing too if you knew she was cutting!" Ahadi roared. The room fell silent when Ahadi said those words. It took me a while to process this. Lana? My daughter cutting? Gwen walked over to Lana.

"...Lana. Is this true? Have you been cutting?" Gwen asked gently.

"I... I..." Lana stammered nervously.

Mufasa walked up to us with a stern expression on his face. "Show me. Now." Mufasa said firmly. With shaken hands, Lana rolled up her sleeves to show him the cuts. Lana whimpered when Mufasa roughly grabbed her arms. Mufasa inspected her wounds with shock. "How could you do this!?" Mufasa yelled.

"Mufasa, honey, calm down," I said, my voice trembling.

"How can I calm down when I found out my baby sister has been cutting herself!?" Mufasa yelled.

"Mufasa, please," Sarabi said.

"NO! This isn't okay. You should be ashamed of yourself!" Mufasa yelled at Lana. Lana is trembling is worse now, with tears streaming down her face.

"Mufasa, stop! You're scaring her!" Sarabi shouted. Margo and Nala went over to comfort Lana.

Miles, always the quiet one, spoke up, trying to calm everyone down. "Guys, I know we're all upset right now but-" Miles was cut off by the sharp voice of his father.

"Upset!? This could have been prevented if you had been paying more attention to her!" Jefferson yelled.

"You guys are always blaming me for everything!" Miles yelled back.

Lana, who finally had enough of this, stood up from mine and Nala's arms. Lana ran up to her room. "Lana, wait!" Nala called. Lana ignored her, slamming the door behind her. The sound echoed through the room. Poor Lana, she's always sensitive and it breaks my heart to see her like this.

"We can't keep fighting like this. It's not good for anyone right now and we scared Lana. Besides, we don't know why she is doing it." Rio said.

"I'm guessing it's because of Miguel and Scar," Margo said. As if on queue, Miguel and Scar walked into the room. Miguel, as always, had an angry expression, and so did Scar. I love my son, but I hate what he is doing to Lana.

"What did you say about me?" Miguel demanded. Margo stormed up to him.

"It's because of you that she's harming herself! It's all your fault! You forced her into this stupid marriage against her will!" Margo yelled, pointing an accusing finger at him.

"I did what I had to do to save her world and the other ones!" Miguel yelled back.

"And I did what I had to do to make her my queen!" Scar yelled.

"By marrying you're own sister!? That's sick, Scar! You're sick in the head! So are you, Miguel!" Simba yelled.

*Ahadi's POV*

I watched as the fight dragged on. Everyone was yelling back and fourth, blaming one another. I couldn't help but think that this was my fault. I shouldn't have been so hard on her but she was my daughter and I couldn't let her hurt herself anymore now.

As the fighting seemed to die down, Gwen spoke up. "Okay, I think once we calmed down and she's calmed down, we will talk with her about this and ask her why she is doing this," Gwen said.

"Right. And Mufasa, how could you be so harsh on her!? You know how sensitive Lana is!" Sarabi yelled.

"How could you not be!? She shouldn't be thinking of doing that to herself! Not now, not ever! I'd be pretty pissed off if one of you guys were doing that!" Mufasa yelled.

"Mufasa! We know you're upset, okay? We all are. Lana is our family too. For now, we all just need to calm down and take some time to ourselves. But the way you handled this situation was not cool at all." Sarabi said.

"Yeah Dad, you didn't need to be so harsh on her," Simba said.

"Once we have calmed down, we are going to have a serious talk about this," Sarabi said.

I sighed heavily. The weight of regret was falling on my shoulders. I gave one glance at Uru before going to Lana's room. I needed to check on Lana to make sure she was doing okay. I slowly raised my paw to knock on her door. "Lana? Honey, are you doing okay?" I asked, trying to keep my voice as soft as possible.

"NO! GO AWAY DAD, I HATE YOU! I NEVER WANT TO SEE YOU AGAIN!" Lana yelled.

I sighed again. I didn't want to push her further, so I left to give her some time to cool down. She will talk to us once she is ready.

*Lana's POV*

It has been a couple of hours since my family confronted me about my cutting. Things got ugly pretty quick so I am staying in my room. I can still hear the yelling from downstairs. I hate my dad for dragging me into this situation. I blame my husband's, Scar, and Miguel for putting me in this situation. I blame the school for dragging me into the tournament against my will.

The third task is only weeks away and I only have a short amount of time to prepare. I am under a lot of pressure right now. The stress is too much for me to handle. Thankfully Harry, Ron, and Hermione weren't there during the confrontation. But they will find out eventually so I might as well tell them now when we are at Hagrid's place.

Speaking of Hagrid, since we are going over there I might ask him and my parents if I can spend the night at his place so I can get away from my family for a while. I changed my clothes, putting on one of my favorite team RWBY shirts, and some leggings. I put on one of my pink sweaters, and then packed my bags. I used my invisibility powers to hide from my family and quickly left the Gryffindor common room. I m

I met up with Harry, Ron, and Hermione. Once we were together, we met Hagrid at his place. Hopfully spending some time with Hagrid and my parents will help me forget about my problems with my family right now. Once we got there, we took a walk in the woods and celebrated our, Hermione, and Hagrid were walking on one side, and Harry and I were walking on the other side. Hagrid was telling a story of when he first met my parents.

"Now I remember, remember when I first met you three, the biggest bunch of misfits I ever set eyes on. S'pose you reminded me of meself a little. And here we all are, four years later." Hagrid said.

"We're still a bunch of misfits," Ron said. "Well maybe but...we all got each other, and Harry and Lana of course. Soon to be the youngest Triwizard champions there's ever been! Hooray!" Hagrid said. I laughed with Hagrid and Hermione.

Hagrid and Ron began singing the school song. I and Hermione joined in. "Hogwarts, Hogwarts, Hoggy warty Hogwarts, teach us something, please" I stopped singing when Harry grabbed his forehead. the singing continued in the background.

"Dad? Are you okay?" I said. Harry just brushed it off. My spider senses went off, warning me of something dangerous up ahead. We continued walking until we saw something horrible. Barty was lying lifeless on the ground. I was in total shock. How could this have happened? We were just talking to him earlier today. Harry and I looked at each other, confusion written all over our faces. Later into the night, as we were about to go home, I asked my parents if I could spend the night at Hagrid's place.

"Mom? Dad? Can I spend the night at Hagrid's place?" I asked.

"Why is that, sweetie? Are you doing okay?" Hermione asked me.

I took a deep breath. I guess now is the time to tell them about my cutting issues. "Things... aren't great with my family after they found out I was cutting," I said nervously. I cringed when I heard Ron yelling.

"What!? You were cutting!?" Ron yelled.

"Lana, why didn't you tell us?" Hermione questioned.

"I didn't want to be a burden to you guys. I didn't want to stress you out especially with the third task coming closer." I said.

"You can tell us anything, Lana. We're your parents." Hermione said.

"I know. But can I please just spend the night at Hagrid's? I really don't want to deal with my family tonight." I said.

Harry sighed. "Yeah, that's fine. Just come back tomorrow so we can talk about this." Harry said.

"Okay, thanks Dad," I said. When my parents left, Hagrid led me to his hut. It was a nice place. He also had a dog named Fang whom I got to play with a bit. When I settled down that night, I couldn't help wondering what my family was thinking of me. They're probably ashamed of me right now. I don't blame them.

I never wanted to talk to them again but I knew I had to confront my problems soon.

I ended up staying at Hagrid's place for a whole week. It's already the end of the week. Today, my family was getting worried so they begged me to come back home. After lots of begging, pleading, and apologies, I reluctantly agreed to go back.

I didn't exactly get a warm welcome when I got back though. Scar and Miguel we're pissed. I already knew why. I left the common room without their permission and disappeared for a whole week without letting them know where I was. Without warning, Miguel attacked me, pinning me against the wall. I yelped when he shocked me.

"You little shit. Had me worried sick." Miguel growled. He brushed his lips against my neck, kissing me. I felt another shock from my collar and bands.

"You know you are not allowed to leave without our permission!" Scar yelled.

"I'm sorry. I had to leave because I was having a mental health crisis! Something you two wouldn't understand!" I yelled back.

I screamed when Miguel shocked me again. "Nuh-uh. You don't get to talk back to me like that. Apologize to me properly." Miguel said. Margo, using all her strength pushed Miguel off of me.

"She doesn't owe you a fucking apology! Now leave her the fuck alone before I fucking kill you!" Margo yelled. Without another word, Miguel left the room, followed by Scar. Once they left my family led me to the couches.

"Sit down with us, Lana. We need to talk." Gwen said gently.

"You guys aren't gonna yell at me again Mommy?" I asked, nervously.

"No sweetheart, we just need to talk to you. We are very worried about you." Gwen said.

My grandmother, Rio walked up to me with a medical kit. "Let me see those cuts of you 'res Lana." Rio said. I held out my hands so that Rio could tend my wounds. After a few minutes of silence, Ahadi stepped forward, his eyes filled with tears.

"Lana. What I did was wrong. I should have never confronted you like that. I was on edge because of the tournament but that's not an excuse. I'm sorry." Ahadi said.

Mufasa stepped forward too. "I'm sorry too. I shouldn't have been so hard on you." Mufasa said.

"Cutting yourself is not the way to solve you're problems, kid. You need to find a better way. This isn't healthy." Uncle Peter said.

"Why didn't you tell us what you were going through? We could have helped." Miles said, his voice filled with sadness.

"I didn't want to be a burden to you guys. You have your own problems." I said.

"You're never a burden to us, Lana," Miles said.

Nala knelt down, putting her paws on my knees. "You're my wife. I love you. I'll always be here for you." Nala said.

"We're gonna get through this," Margo said, giving me a kiss. "Just please, promise me you won't cut anymore."

I nodded. "Okay. I promise I won't cut anymore." I said.

My family sighed with relief, then pulled me in for a big group hug. I smiled, knowing I was grateful to have a family that supported me through these dark times.
