History: Born in Hungary, Maria and her father fled to the United States after the death of her mother. In college she met Hank Pym and they were soon married. On their honeymoon Maria's father was murdered by agents of HYDRA for the secret behind the Pym particles.

From there, after Hank had become the Ant-Man, Maria dubbed herself the Wasp. Maria and Hank fought weird science and mad scientists before joining the Avengers. While her husband struggled to balance his life as a scientist and a hero, Maria jumped into the life of a superheroine with both feet.

When Janet Van Dyne became the hero Giant Girl, Maria oversaw her training. Hank and Maria would later retire from the Avengers briefly before a West Coast expansion of the team. When Hank fully retired from the hero game, Maria stayed on as the Wasp and mentored the next generation of heroes.

Comments: Created by me, based on characters and concepts created by Stan Lee, Larry Lieber, and Jack Kirby

So, what with Hank Pym being reimagined, what if Maria Pym didn't die? I didn't just want to retread Janet Van Dyne's stories with a different name.
