History: And there come a day unlike any other!
Loki, the Asgardian god of trickery, sought to destroy his half-brother Thor, manipulated heroes Iron Man, the Hulk, Ant-Man, and the Wasp into fighting but instead a group was formed.
From there the team would face many foes, but of Earth, space, and even spaces in-between. The group would grow, first with the addition of Captain America later mutant siblings Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver and the adventurer Hawkeye.
The group would grow, so much in fact the team decided to split into team, with one being based in New York City and the other in Los Angeles.
With a rotating leadership, the team would have a separate leader every quarter, with a core group of roughly seven active members and an undetermined amount of reserve members. The group briefly worked for the US government. While this allowed the group a great deal of leverage it also came with an overseer named Henry Peter Gyrich.
With the group formerly left, they lost their security clearance. The type of threats often faced by the group included other dimensional beings, aliens, and even cosmic level threats. The Avengers soon gained a reputation as the varsity team of super humans with nearly hero or heroine attempting to join at one point or another.
