BAT-RIDER VS. KAMEN RIDER DECADE

BEYOND THE WORLDS CH.1

Gotham City. A capital of industry in the world, a shining beacon of the western world as it sits on the edge of the Atlantic. The silver and gold buildings tower into the skies above, but none reach the heights of its true masterpiece. Olympus Tower, once known as the Gotham Tower, stood at the highest point where its master could oversee his kingdom like his namesake.

"Master Zeus? Breakfast is ready." Dressed in a black and white tailcoat, glasses adorning his squarish face with white hair, an elderly man of japanese descent entered the chambers, finding men and women strewn all underneath the massive silken sheets. His cart of food rolled against the velvet carpeting as he arrived at the balcony where his master stood taking in the warmth of the sun against his bare skin. His body was akin to chiseled marble, with pitch black hair and eyes as blue as the sky above them. To some, they would akin his appearance to that of a god.

"Ah, good morning, Ganymede. Thank you for breakfast." He says, his voice soft and gentle as he opens the tray to find his breakfast. Eggs on toast with fruit and a cup of coffee. Zeus smiled at the sight of his meal as he watched the city beneath him. His kingdom. His world to rule.

THE STREETS BELOW-GCPD HEADQUARTERS

"Hey newbie!" yelled the rotund detective Harvey Bullock as he slammed a large case file on the desk of the department's newest detective, startling said detective awake. The young man had light brown hair and was of japanese descent. His attire consisted of a black suit jacket and jeans with an eye-catching pink t-shirt underneath the coat. Sitting on his desk was a pink Blackbird Twin Lens camera and a nameplate with the tired investigators' very name. "You got cotton in your ears or something' Kedoya? Get tah work!"

As Harvey walks away from his desk, Tsukasa slowly comes to and registers his surroundings, the GCPD bullpen hustling and bustling with various members of Gotham's finest.

"...Well this is very familiar." The man in black and pink -er, magenta- mused to himself, memories of over a decade ago springing to mind. He scanned his desk, noting his police badge and the case files sitting next to his computer, noting him of his occupation but for his role that was still a mystery.

"Hey! Kadoya!" yelled another officer, Renee Montoya, from across the room. "C'mon! Captain wants to see us downtown. It's them again." She says, leaving just as fast as she entered.

"Alright, time to see what this world has in store for me." Tsukasa said to himself, standing up, adjusting his jacket and grabbing his camera before taking off. As he leaves the building, a hooded vagabond watches him in silence with a pair of glowing red eyes poking out from the shadows.

"Found you."

STARLIN ST.-DOWNTOWN GOTHAM

"...Wow. That is an eyesore." Tsukasa muttered as he looked out at the gothic city around him, his eyes focused on the big shining tower that stuck out like a sore thumb and almost definitely belonged to someone with a head bigger than the building itself.

"Careful what you say, newbie." interjected Renee. "You never know who's listening. Now focus up, we're in a time crunch!" The two sped down the streets of Gotham City, coming to a screeching halt as they arrived at a police blockade surrounding a bizarre scene. A large and monstrous creature that could only be described as mythical, as Tsukasa and Montoya were met with the rampaging Minotaur who was in the process of throwing a patrol car over their heads.

"RAHHH!" roared the beast from myth, ready to charge at any second.

Tsukasa, instincts honed from over a decade of situations like this, opened the door to step outside. "Well, looks like, as usual, the action found me." He joked, a fight-ready look in his eyes. As he approached the monster, Renee jumped out of the car and yelled at him as the Minotaur growled and locked eyes with the strange man.

"Hey! What the hell do you think you're doing? Stay back and wait for backup!" she ordered, pulling out her gun only to be stopped as he pulled out his buckle. The Neo Deca-Driver, a pink device with a red gem in the center surrounded by twenty different symbols of various heroes. The minotaur chuckles as it cracks its knuckles, excited for this apparent challenger's next move. Surprisingly, the minotaur then spoke in a deep and gravelly voice as Tsukasa broke through the barricade.

"So… who are you supposed to be?" asked the monster. Tsukasa chuckled, placing the Driver to his waist as his belt manifested and fastened it to him.

"Just a passing through Kamen Rider." He answered, opening the pink device before pulling out a card from a strange white and black bookcase attached to his belt strap on his left hip, holding it out in front of the minotaur. The card was magenta with various text on it, with a magenta, green eyed armored warrior depicted on it. "Remember that. Henshin!"

He slipped the card into the belt device.

Kamen Ride!

He then closed the device, the lights on it shining.

Decade!

Several gray silhouettes, about 20 in number, appeared before him, converging on him and forming a gray and black bodysuit with gray and white armor, a white lined X mark across his chest. Several magenta card-like objects flew out from his belt before embedding themselves in his head, coloring the gray portions of his armor the same shade, black lines appearing across his helmet like a barcode. His green eyes and yellow jewel in the centermost barcode line flashed.

"KAMEN RIDER?!" yelled the monster. The surrounding GCPD look in shock and horror at Tsukasa's transformation, some even fleeing in terror at the sheer sight of the barcode themed hero.

"Decade, to be precise." Tsukasa answered, dusting off his black gloved hands. "Don't wear it out." He made a "c'mere" gesture with his hand, beckoning his opponent to make the first move. The monstrous minotaur roared as he charged forward, his right fist reeled back to deck the hero only to make contact with the window of a police car.

"What the?!" He turned to the right, finding Decade waiting for him with a roundhouse kick to the face stunning him. Freed from the car, the monster once again rushed Decade with a flurry of punches with the hero dodging them with very little effort. "RAH! STOP DODGING!"

"Ok." Decade replied, standing still. The minotaur smirked, reading his fist to collide with the Rider's face. Only to have him catch it inches away from his face followed by a spartan kick to the beast's stomach, which only enraged it even more.

"GRAHH! It's not supposed to go like this!" The beast slammed his fist into the ground, cracking the earth as he hoisted a large boulder over his head and proceeded to throw in anger towards his foe. "DIE!"

"No thanks, not on my schedule." Decade responded, taking out a card depicting another Kamen Rider, slipping it in.

KAMEN RIDE

He closed his driver, rearing his fist back and sending it towards the boulder.

KAB-KAB-KAbuto….

"Eh?" Decade took notice of this, which unfortunately left him open to getting hit by the boulder, sending him skidding across the pavement, though thankfully his armor protected him and he managed to recover in time. The minotaur chuckles and charges forward, taking the opportunity to land a punch across Decade's helmet with a second one only hitting air as Decade pulls out a second Rider Card.

"Ok, let's try this one." He muttered, slipping it in and closing the driver.

K-KU-KU-Kuuuugaaa…

"Again?" He growled. His distraction once again allowed the Minotaur to tackle Decade into a different police car followed by him slamming his fists into the armored chest.

"NOT SO CONFIDENT NOW, ARE YOU?" yelled the Minotaur, laughing as his punches increased in power.

"Fu-cking-per-fect-" Tsukasa said in between punches. As he prepared to counterattack, a flurry of gunfire blasted the monster and Decade from the side knocking the two to the floor. Arriving on the scene, a small battalion of armored men and women in spartan themed armor armed with advanced guns surrounded Decade and the Minotaur with their weapons drawn and ready to fire. The lead soldier had red and black detailing to his armor and while the others had featureless helmets, the commander's had a pair of red insectoid eyes with golden stag beetle horns that caused Tsukasa to gasp.

"Suspects surrounded sir! What should we do, Commander Onodera?" spoke one of the grunts to his commander. Removing his helmet, the commander revealed his youthful face with black hair. The leader of the men was Yusuke Onodera, who didn't even look phased by Decade's presence. "The beast is here but the Rider isn't the one we're looking for. Contact Headquarters, inform them we're bringing prisoners."

"Yusuke…?" Tsukasa said in surprise under his breath. "...what is going on here…?"

"YOU'LL NEVER TAKE ME ALIVE!" The Minotaur roared as he stood back up and charged towards the armed men, taking the heavy gunfire in stride as he lunged towards Yusuke.

The beast was quickly slashed away by Tsukasa with his book case-like device, which had unfolded into a sort of sword, sending the minotaur flying away. Slipping in a card, Tsukasa closed the driver again.

"This one should work."

ATTACK RIDE: SLASH!

His blade glowing magenta, he got into a stance before charging at the bull, sending a wide slash, the action followed by magenta energy copies of the blade. The attack released sparks as it came into contact with the Minotaur, the beast huffs as it begins to feel weakened, falling to his knees as he looks up at Decade.

"You fool. You shouldn't be fighting me! It's them you should be after!" he yelled, pointing towards Yusuke and his men who aimed at the two ready to fire at any time.

"Way I see it, you were the one on a rampage and causing wanton destruction." Tsukasa responded, his blade pointed at the minotaur. As he prepared to deal a final blow, black storm clouds appeared above the scene of the battle with the sounds of booming thunder causing Yusuke and his men to back away as if making way for whatever was about to arrive.

"N-No. No! Not him!" The Minotaur trembled in fear, kneeling with his hands clasped as he begged towards the armed men. "Please! I'll do anything! Just not him! Arrest me! I'll go peacefully just don't-"

*BRAKAKOOOM!*

A golden and white bolt of lightning crashed down, blinding all in its presence for a brief moment before revealing a golden and white armored figure standing in the smoking crater. A white and gold cape flowed down from his golden winged shoulder pauldrons, with his helmet and gold chest armor resembling an eagle with its wings extended outwards, and golden gauntlets and clawed boots placed over his white bodysuit. Around the warrior's waist was a large golden belt with a glowing blue core that illuminated with an immense source of energy. This was…

"Zeus." whispered the Minotaur in fear at Zeus' sheer presence. Zeus said nothing, striving forward with his arms by his side and staring forward at the terrified Minotaur.

The magenta rider gripped his blade, narrowing his eyes behind his helmet, tensing up in case of a fight. As he passed Decade, the overwhelming pressure coming off of him was immense for one man to have, it was almost suffocating. As he stood before the begging Minotaur, Zeus did nothing but raise his fist to the sky, summoning a large bolt of lightning to descend and strike the Minotaur down.

"GRAAAAHHHH!" screamed the monster, before exploding in a large ball of fire. With a flick of his cape, Zeus turned to face Decade as his Rider form faded away revealing a well dressed man in an all white suit with a white sash around his torso and a golden laurel wreath adorning his head.

"Greetings, I take it you're the vagrant my followers told me about. Am I correct in this assumption, Mister…" he said, holding out his gloved hand to Decade, a calm and uncomfortable smile across his face.

"...Kadoya. Tsukasa Kadoya. Kamen Rider Decade." Tsukasa answered, his armor fading away as he shook Zeus's hand, putting on a smile. Zeus chuckled as the two shook hands. As they separate, Zeus turns to his men and gestures for them to leave with all of them doing so willingly.

"Apologies, my servants tend to be a bit jumpy. It's nice to meet you Decade, I've never met another Rider who wasn't difficult to deal with. Care to accompany me while the little people deal with the mess?" he asks.

"Sure, I'm a bit new, anyway." Tsukasa responded. Zeus grins, a joyful expression on his face as a white limousine pulls up before them. Exiting out of the driver's side, the elderly servant of Zeus stands before the two men to open their door for them. Tsukasa looked on in shock as the man stared at him with a raised brow. While Zeus called him Ganymede, Tsukasa knew him as something else.

"Gramps…?" Tsukasa whispered under his breath.

Again, he wondered what the hell was going on as he cautiously entered the car. As the vehicle drove off, a cloaked black figure watched them in silence on the rooftops with glowing crimson eyes.

"Kamen. Rider." The figure quickly vanished without a trace, as Yusuke looked up and stared at the ledge the mysterious figure once sat on.

OLYMPUS TOWER-PENTHOUSE

"Beautiful, isn't it?" asked Zeus to Tsukasa. The two stood at the window overlooking Gotham, watching the sun set slowly over the city below them. "Gotham truly has no equal on this Earth. I take it you haven't been here long, Decade?"

"Yeah. I'm a bit of a…traveler, you could say." Tsukasa answered, looking out the window. This city was a bit different than what he was used to. Normally he traveled through versions of Tokyo. There were exceptions, of course, but this was one of the few non-Japan or Japan-esque places he'd been to in recent years.

"I could tell, hardly anyone comes to Gotham without me knowing. Yet here you stand, and apparently a detective for the GCPD as well. Quite a skill, it's as if you were destined to arrive here and meet me. Wouldn't you say?" Zeus stared forward, his smile dropping as Ganymede entered the room with a tray of coffee for the two men.

"Heh. Destiny…a funny thing." Tsukasa responded, mind still reeling at the sight of Ganymede. "I've had quite a bit of experience there."

"I can tell. So then, Decade, I guess I should cut to the chase as to why I asked you to join me this evening. Ganymede. Gather the others." Zeus chuckled as he walked towards the throne that sat in the center of the room. As he took a seat, Tsukasa couldn't help but remember the simple fact he'd learned as a Kamen Rider. Anyone who looks comfortable on a throne can't be good for business. "Please Decade, take a seat." Before Tsukasa could blink, several white cloaked figures appeared and placed a wooden throne behind Tsukasa. Taking a seat, he couldn't help but let his eyes wander around the place, taking note of anything that looked suspicious.

Two doors opened up to the sides of the room, on the right Yusuke exited out of the room still in uniform and an angered expression as he entered the room. To the left, a different man entered the scene with black hair around Tsukasa's age, his very body language and face reeking of mischief and trickery. His attire was a white jacket and shirt with a matching pair of slacks and boots, the eye-catching detail was a winged silver helmet atop his head. The man looked at Tsukasa, smiling as he gave the magenta rider a quick wink before joining Yusuke at Zeus' side.

"Decade. I'd love for you to meet my fellow Olympians, Ares," gesturing to Yusuke who stood at attention before switching sides to the other man. "And Hermes."

Tsukasa eyed the two of them curiously. "Pleasure." He greeted.

'Well,' he mused in his mind, 'at least Kaito seems normal.'

"You see Tsukasa, Gotham as a city has been bereft of the glory of gods," began Zeus. His voice became stern and cold, as he continued his speech. "Ever since one fateful night, Gotham has been nothing but blasphemous in my eyes. However, despite my many attempts to cull and secure this place, there is one mortal who continues to spur my gifts to them. A man they call Rider."

"Rider?" Tsukasa's interest peaked. "So, another one…"

"Yes indeed, a Dark Rider who has been tormenting my kingdom for far too long. Hermes and Ares have faced him before, and yet even they've come up short-handed in eliminating him." Ares clenches his fist in anger at the mention of his failure, Hermes on the other hand didn't look at all that bothered by it, leaning against Zeus' throne with his eye constantly on Tsukasa, as if waiting for him to pull any sort of trick.

"So you want me to take care of this Dark Rider, right?" Tsukasa asked, crossing one leg over the other, returning the watchful looks Hermes was giving him, meanwhile taking silent amusement at how ridiculous Kaito looked in that outfit.

"I see you're smarter than the most, in actuality, I wanted you to help us simply find him. Once you do, we'll take it from there. So, Decade. What do you think?" Zeus gave him a kind smile, one that the Destroyer of Worlds could easily see through.

While on the one hand there was obviously something shifty going on, on the other it didn't seem like the wisest move to refuse, especially given how powerful this man seemed to be. Plus, if he could find this Dark Rider, maybe…

Tsukasa shrugged. "Alright, might as well."

Hermes and Ares looked in shock at his sudden acceptance, while Zeus just grinned and stood up from his throne laughing with joy at Tsukasa's agreement.

"Excellent! Just excellent! Ganymede, gather the commoners. Tonight, we welcome my newest champion of Olympus. Welcome home, Dionysus." Before Tsukasa could even react or retort, Zeus pulled the Rider out of his chair and into a tight hug all while laughing boisterously.

Tsukasa put up a convincing smile, putting Zeus' back while cringing on the inside.

LATER THAT NIGHT

Within seconds, the penthouse was stuffed to the brim with the greatest movers and shakers of Gotham City. Zeus' laugh could be heard across the room as he sat on his throne, enjoying the wine served to him by Ganymede and the men and women who surrounded him. Tsukasa was on the other side of the room, forcibly stuffed into a white suit and tie with a purple grape pin attached to his lapel, with a glass of wine in hand.

"Yo, Dionysus." Tsukasa turned to find "Hermes" smiling at him with his own glass in hand, still wearing the same clothes as before. "I must say, I did not expect you so soon. But then again, you've always been nipping at my heel. Brother."

"...what can I say, I like to go at my own pace. Sometimes that means giving a nice surprise." Tsukasa replied. "I do enjoy catching you off guard."

"So then, I take it your Rider Cards aren't working as well?" From his pocket, Daiki Kaito pulled out three Rider Cards that were blank, as if scrubbed from existence. "Check your cards."

Tsukasa brought out his own cards, also blank. "Personal ones are working fine, but the Legend Rider ones…now that I think about it, this is kinda like what happened in the World of Negatives…"

"Yep. So then… Dionysus. I take it you've noticed the sore thumbs standing out around us." He gestured to Ganymede and Ares, the former greeting and seeing the guests and the latter standing beside Zeus like a guard dog.

"Indeed I have, Hermes. So, just to confirm, are those Gramps and Yusuke, or just their world's counterparts of them?"

"Hard to say really, I can't even get a vibe ever since I landed here. All I know is that my senses tell me that there's something worth swiping from this world. So try to stay out of my way, Tsukasa." He gave his fellow Olympian a wink and smirk before walking away into the crowd, with a glass of wine that Tsukasa saw as far too familiar.

Tsukasa blinked, noticing that in his hand, instead of the glass, was now a black bordered blue calling card with DiEnd's logo on it. Sighing and rolling his eyes, cursing himself for not picking up on his old rival's tricks by now, he flicked it away for the time being. Outside of the window, Tsukasa couldn't help but notice a strange pair of glowing red eyes watching him from the building neighboring them.

Narrowing his eyes, he looked at the glowing ones curiously. He had gotten the sense all day he'd been…watched.

'Well,' he mused internally. 'I guess I found my audience.' The voyeuristic stranger vanished into the night after realizing that he'd been seen. Tsukasa scoffed before looking around him, and after realizing that he had no eyes on him, the Rider slipped away from the party. Ares looked out of the corner of his eye, glaring at the exiting Tsukasa Kadoya with a look of suspicion and intrigue.

IN A NEARBY ALLEYWAY

The booming crack of thunder echoed across the night sky to signal the arrival of the storm, Tsukasa wandered down the darkened alleyway under the protection of an umbrella.

Gramps and Yusuke were here in the role of old Greek deities/beings, Zeus was apparently ruling this American city, and Daiki was here too, and Tsukasa himself was being watched. This did get him wondering, though…

Where was Natsumi?

*BLAM! BLAM!*

The sounds of gunshots rang through the alleyway, alerting Tsukasa as they were quickly followed by the sounds of terrified screams nearby. Summoning his belt, he went over to the sounds of the screams, preparing a card incase of anything. However, once he arrived he found several criminals groaning in pain and fleeing the scene as a dark coated figure stood in the center of the room attacking each of them with brutal efficiency. The black shadowy figure slowly looked up, revealing the crimson eyes that had spent all day stalking Tsukasa from the shadows.

"Decade." it whispered as the two figures locked eyes with one another.

"So you know me. I don't suppose you'd be willing to answer a few questions? First one, why're you following me?" The black cloaked figure said nothing, instead it rushed forward without a second wasted as it lunged at Decade.

Decade, in one quick motion, slipped in his card and closed the driver, tossing the figure overhead as his armor formed.

KAMEN RIDE: DECADE

Decade jumped back, getting into a stance as his foe landed. The shadowy figure slowly came into the light, dressed in all black with gray armor plating on his chest shaped around a black metallic bat emblem surrounded by a glowing red circle. His helmet was something that could only be described as a demonic helmet with curved long ears and an open metal maw resembling the jaws of a screaming beast.

"Decade. You must die." The figure said, his voice haggard and filled with animosity. The dark Rider opened his fists, releasing sharp talons at the tips of his fingers, and roared as he lunged forward once again with the claws aimed at Decades face. Decade reacted as fast as he could by dodging the claw slash and retaliating by summoning his Ride Booker-Sword Mode to slash at his foe, only for them to vanish into a colony of bats upon contact which then reformed behind him, causing him to receive a slash to the back.

"GAH!" Decade staggered forward, spinning around and slashing at his opponent. But just as before, the Bat themed Rider exploded into bats once again and reformed off behind him to deliver another slash from his claws. The 10th Heisei Rider quickly brought his blade behind himself to block the claws, slipping in a card quickly before closing the drive.r

ATTACK RIDE: SLASH

His blade glowing, he spun around, multiple energy blades slashing at his opponent. The Bat groaned as the slashes sparked against his armor, forcing him back, resulting in him growling in anger before slamming his fists against the crimson and black buckle that sat on his waist. The device center shined a bright red before unleashing a powerful wave of energy that surged through the black Rider's armor, causing it to steam as he took a fighting stance. Decade could see it, he was hoping to finish this fight fast and definitively.

"Just. Die!" He yelled, flapping his cape before taking off into the air.

Decade slipped in a card before closing it.

FINAL ATTACK RIDE: D-D-D-DECADE!

Several royal blue holographic cards with golden borders and his symbol in gold appear in front of Tsukasa, leading towards the bat themed rider. Taking a stance, his blade glowing, he prepared himself. The black and red Bat roared as he descended with a flying drop kick, his feet ablaze with red energy and his cape stretched out to resemble bat wings mid-flight.

"HA!"

The two attacks collided, sparks flying off in magenta, yellow, black and red. The two grunted as they put more and more effort into their finishers, their visors glowing brightly. Suddenly, a comet of pink and white energy slammed into the collision and sent both Riders flying in opposite directions in a multicolor explosion.

"Gahh!" The crimson and black bat fell to the ground, the ambush attack knocking him out of his transformation to reveal an elderly man with gray hair and a pencil thin mustache bleeding from his nose. His attire was that of a military man, complete with a dark blue flak jacket, cargo pants and black combat boots with a knife holstered in his belt loop. "D-Damnit."

"The hell…?" Decade grunted, looking up and seeing both his opponent, and looking out for his attacker. From the smoke of the impact, a feminine figure stood before them in pink and black attire. Her hair held back in a ponytail, and a black jacket draped over her shoulders like a cape. As the smoke cleared, the woman's face became clearer to both men, mostly Tsukasa who gasped at the woman who stood before him, wielding a sheathed blade in her gloved right hand.

"...Natsumi…?" He whispered, staring in shock. The woman's eyes turned towards him before turning back her attention to where the elderly man once stood to find he'd completely vanished. The woman kissed her teeth in frustration before walking towards the downed Tsukasa slowly. Before he could utter a word, he was met with a solid boot to the face, knocking him unconscious.

MEANWHILE-OLYMPUS TOWER

"Make this quick, Ares," spoke an almost agitated Zeus from a small room isolated from the festivities ongoing outside of his room. "I don't like being torn away from my subjects for too long."

"My apologies, great one," Ares spoke, kneeling before his king. "But I have just seen Dionysus and the Bat-Rider fighting. Not only that, but Vrykolakas took them."

The so-called King of The Gods tensed up at the sheer mention of that name. His eye twitched as he slowly turned to face his subject with an angered expression in his eyes.

"What? Vrykolakas?! Who, Ares?" Zeus' eyes crackled with lightning and an almost divine fury. He moved closer towards Ares, his every step making the lights flicker about as an electric blue surrounded him. "Who did she take, Ares?"

"Dionysus." Ares answered. Zeus stayed silent, his body growing calm before all the lights exploded from his silent fury. He turned away, looking out at the city of Gotham beneath him before looking back at the kneeling Ares.

"Find them."

SEVERAL MILES BENEATH OLYMPUS

Daiki Kaito, or Hermes to his so-called Master, smirked as he finally cracked the final lock to the cellar. He'd taken care of the countless guards that protected whatever Zeus held inside, and his instincts always told him one certain thing.

"The greatest treasures are always hidden behind the toughest doors." Kicking open the doors, Kaito stopped in his tracks at the sight before him. Chained to the concrete walls was a shirtless man, torso covered in as much scar tissue as there was muscles, with black hair and bags under his eyes. His lower half was black jeans and around his waist was a black buckle with a silver turbine surrounding a black core. The man locked eyes with the so-called God of Thieves and glared at him with a look that he could describe as one of pure hatred.

"So… what are you supposed to be?" Asked the mystery man. Kaito chuckled, placing the DiEnd Driver on his shoulder before pointing the barrel of the gun at said prisoner.

"Just a passing through treasure seeker, and you aren't what I came here for." The man stayed still and stared into Kaito's eyes. Kaito smirked, and pulled the trigger.

*BANG!*

TO BE CONTINUED

Next Time on Bat-Rider Vs. Decade!

"Kadoya Tsukasa? Never heard of him?"

"Bruce Wayne? He's been dead for years."

"Decade. Welcome, to the world that shall be your doom."

"Transform!"

KING OF THE HEAVENS!

KAMEN RIDER ZEUS!

Spidey Viewer: Hey y'all! I don't normally do this sort of thing, but I figured this was a special occasion. Welcome to Bat-Rider VS. Kamen Rider Decade: Beyond the World. A crossover between the titular 10th Heisei Rider and my good friend KingUltra's Bat-Rider series, a tokusatsu take on our favorite caped crusader. With us is KingUltra himself! Say, hi!

KingUltra: Hello everybody! Thanks for having me Spidey.

Spidey Viewer: A pleasure. Ultra is a long time friend of mine. This is the first story in a long time we're working on together that I remember him posting, and oh boy it is good to work together again!

KingUltra: Oh yeah, I honestly am amazed how fast we were able to do this but we quickly fell into the groove of working together again. Reminds me of the old days on Google+ for some when we'd spend hours writing together and coming up with stories. It's been fun to do this again.

Spidey Viewer: Hell yeah. So, while I have you here, care to answer a few questions for our audience?

KingUltra: Ready like Freddy.

Spidey Viewer: Firstly, how did you get into Rider?

KingUltra: That's… really hard to answer tbh. I think it started with me on a Power Ranger hyperfixation, discovering Super Sentai and watching anything I could. Mostly Gokaiger, then I watched the Rider Vs. Sentai movie, and the moment I saw Decade and Fourze I was just amazed. I then remembered Dragon Knight on the CW and watched that alongside Kamen Rider Gaim which was my first ever series. I've been hooked ever since.

Spidey Viewer: Heh, so we both saw Dragon Knight early in our times as Rider fans! Second question, what inspired this premise for the crossover?

KingUltra: Well, outside of wanting to work with you again, it stems back to my love of comic book crossovers. Batman/TMNT, Justice League/Power Rangers, I can go on. Plus, Bat-Rider was originally gonna spin out of a Batman and Kamen Rider Ichigo team up storyline but I decided to shelf that till right now with this story.

Spidey Viewer: Oooh! Thirdly, what do you like most about this story and what do you look forward to about it?

KingUltra: Outside of writing Bat-Rider in a weird situation, I just love writing DiEnd. I didn't expect myself to love writing for him, but the brief parts where I did I found myself wanting to have him around more. I do look forward to expanding on the mystery we set-up in this chapter, especially with who that other Bat-Rider is and how Zeus came into power.

Spidey Viewer: You also write DiEnd super well. While I have my issues with DiEnd's development and regression in the franchise, I do like how he's being utilized here. So, fourthly, what can the audience look forward to?

KingUltra: Thrills, mysteries, and potential hints to future stories in Bat-Rider and interactions you'd never see coming!

Spidey Viewer: Excellent! So, anything you wanna say before we end things off?

KingUltra: Stay excellent Bat Fans! And tune in for the next thrilling installment of this story. Same Bat-Time! Same Bat-Channel!

Spidey Viewer: Then that's all for today, folks! See you next chap!
