Chapter 1: Crazy beginnings
A/N: Hey everyone! Hope you all enjoyed your holiday! Since it's almost my birthday I decided as a little gift I would treat you all to the first chapter to Rewrite the Stars!
How did Jenny and Blitzo meet and become lifelong friends? Is it possible for a human and an Imp to form a connection?
Just wanted to give a heads up, this chapter is based off of the first episode of season 2. I know that when Blitzo crashed Stolas's party it was his 'still not divorced' party. But since Jenny and Blitzo have known each other for 14 years I thought it would have made more sense to have it where Blitz crashed his wedding instead. Hopefully I don't make Stolas super out of character. I figured their interaction would be awkward since they haven't seen each other since they were kids and they meet up again as young adults. Obviously things have changed a lot for both parties since then.
So without further ado, let's get on with the story!
Disclaimer: I don't own Helluva Boss; I just own my characters.
Enjoy!

One month before La Vie En Rose begins
Blitzo checked his phone for the time then went back to looking though his binoculars. Eyes glued to the driveway, he waited for someone to step outside. At 7:15, someone stepped out of their house and made their way to their car.
The person paused and turned to go back inside. Blitzo growled and pulled out his sniper. He aimed it at the guy as he was about to go inside his house. The guy grabbed the handle then shook his head and headed back for his car. The Imp lowered his gun but kept his eyes on his target.
As David pulled out of the driveway, Blitzo was half temped to shoot his tires but thought otherwise. It was an important day and he did not want that prick at the house. He waited until his car turned down a different street. After five minutes passed and he was sure that David was gone, Blitzo went into action.
Dropping from the branch he was on, he dove into the rose bush that lined the house. Crawling through the thorny plants, he made his way along the side of the house and towards the backdoor. Pushing the flap of the doggie door up, he struggled to crawl inside. After finally getting in, he stumbled inside.
Jenny who was sitting by the kitchen table read the paper as she sipped her coffee.
"You do know that the door is unlocked, right?" she said as she continued to read the paper.
Blitzo jumped up and dusted off his jacket.
"Where's the fun in that? Besides, this is good practice for work"
"If you want to practice, I'll turn the alarms on next time so you can see if you can pass those" Jenny joked.
She put the paper down and finally looked at her best friend. Blitzo smiled and held his arms out.
"Happy Friendversary!"
Jenny smiled and went up to hug him.
"Happy Friendversary, Blitz"
The two friends hugged each other tightly. While it would be shocking that a human and an Imp would know each other, it was alarming that they were friends. What was more alarming was that they had been friends for 14 years. You would think that maybe Jenny made a deal with a being from Hell to get something out of life. But surprisingly that wasn't the case. These two just happened to have ran into each other one random day and they had been friends since.
It was a weird friendship but it was a much needed one.
Jenny pulled away and had a giddy look on her face.
"Wait until you see your present! You're going loose your shit when you see it!"
She quickly left the kitchen then came back moments later with a wrapped present in hand.
"Go on, open it!"
Blitzo looked at the gift for a moment then tore it open. His eyes bugged open when he saw what it was.
"You found it?!" he asked.
"I sure did. It was a pain in the ass to find it but it was worth it" Jenny said.
Blitzo looked at the little horse figure in his hands with delight. He loved anything that had to do with horses and had a vast collection of horse figures. He had a set that were based off of crude things and had pun names. The one that he was missing from that set was a weed horse called 'Mareajuana'.
Blitzo pumped his fist at the thought of having a complete set now.
"Fuck yeah!" he said.
He pulled Jenny back into a bone crushing hug.
"You're the fucking best!"
Jenny just laughed at Blitzo's excitement. She always felt happy when she saw him get excited over things.
"I knew you be happy about this"
Blitzo pulled away and grabbed something from his jacket.
"Since we're completing sets I found the last piece for your collection" he said.
Jenny squealed when he pulled out a Playbill for the musical Hamilton.
"The last performance of the original cast of Hamilton. My last target had this at their house and I figured they won't be needing it anymore"
"And no blood is on it either so that means its in perfect condition!" Jenny cried.
Now it was her turn to pull Blitzo into a bone crushing hug. She had been collecting Playbills since she was a kid. But since she didn't make a lot of money thanks to this teaching job that meant it was hard for her to see musicals now. But being the best friend that Blitzo was, every time he took out a target near the big theaters, he always made sure to snag one of the Playbills to add to her collection. It didn't cost a dime to be a good friend after all.
While their gifts weren't crazy or expensive, they meant everything to one another. It meant that they knew each other like the back of their hands and knew it made each other happy.
That's why they had been friends for over 14 years.
"Can you believe it's already been 14 years since we met?" Jenny asked.
"Not really. Sometimes I feel like it's yesterday. I can still picture that scrappy little High Schooler on the bridge" Blitzo said.
14 years was a long time to know someone.
But how was it possible for a human and an Imp to be friends for that long?
Well, it's a crazy story.

Blitzo looked up at the castle and bit his lip. It had been ages since he had been to this place but he knew what he wanted was here.
After what happened at the circus with Fizz and his family, he knew there was no way he could go back to that life. So since he was an expert in ruining lives he figured it was great to make a living that way. What he wanted to do was very risky. He was planning to be a hitman and take out people for clients.
The catch was that the targets were living humans.
Now one might ask, how does an Imp from Hell reach the land of the living?
The answer to that is you know people who have access to said realm. Which Blitzo somehow did.
Back when he was a kid, his dad was paid by some Goetia prince to give his son a playmate. Being the money whore that his father was, he didn't bat an eye to selling his kid off.
It sucked that his dad sold him off to be some prince's playmate, but it paid off in the end. He was forced to spend a day being Stolas's little playmate since he found him interesting. He thought a fun way to play was so show the Imp all of the books he enjoyed to read and what he had powers he had control over.
One of those books just so happened to have a spell that could open a portal to the living realm.
Now all these years later Blitz felt like it was time for Stolas to pay up for making him be his little rent-a-friend.
There seemed to be a big event at the castle because a bunch of people were going in and the place was tight with security. There was no way he was going to be able to sneak in with the crowd. He could disguise himself as one of the servants since the whole staff were Imps, but he was one of the slightly taller breed of Imps so the uniforms wouldn't fit on him.
Seeing as there was no other way to get inside, he decided to put his circus skills to good use and try to climb the castle and hope one of the windows were open.

Weddings were supposed to be a joyous occasion. It symbolized two souls who were in love and wanted to spend the rest of their lives together. To form memories and create a family.
For Stolas however, it was like a death sentence for him. He wasn't getting married to someone he loved. Hell, he didn't really know his bride. He was forced into this arranged marriage when he had turned 5 years old. Imagining being a child and learning you were supposed to marry someone that your father picked out for you?
Stella seemed like a perfect Goetia bride on paper but she was the complete opposite in real life. Cruel, demanding, abusive and with a tiny microscopic hint of class, that was who Stolas was supposed to spend the rest of his life with.
He knew he had a duty to fulfill as a Goetia prince. He understood that but at the same time he felt like it wasn't fair. Why was everyone around him allowed to be with the one that they love? Why were they allowed to be themselves? Why couldn't he experience that?
It didn't matter what he wanted. The one that he wanted was from a far lower class than him. Even though his interaction with Blitzo was very brief when they were children it still made a lasting impact on him. That little playdate of theirs was the only time he truly felt happiness.
He was pulled from his thoughts as he heard Stella cackling about something to her group of friends. She had wanted to throw a big wedding reception and she wouldn't take no for an answer. She wanted everyone in Hell to know that she was prettiest bride that all of the rings had ever seen.
Stolas just made a noise and downed his glass of wine. He hoped this party would go on till the next day. He was dreading thinking about spending his wedding night with this foul creature.
"Excuse us, sir"
Stolas spit out his drink when he saw two of his security guards carrying Blitzo to him.
"We found this nasty Imp trying to sneak into your chambers" one of the guards said.
"What should we do with him?"
Stolas couldn't believe what he was seeing. The imp that he had been thinking of since his childhood was right here in front of him. On his wedding day not less.
He realized he was just staring at Blitzo for a long time and quickly composed himself. He had to act like someone was trying to break into his home.
"Leave him to me. I'll handle him" he said.
The guards shrugged and dropped Blitzo on his ass. Blitzo raised an eyebrow when Stola loomed over him.
"Follow me, Imp" he ordered.
Having no choice, Blitzo followed Stolas out of the party. As they walked he was reminded how different they were. Stolas was a wealthy, powerful prince while he was a poor, pitiful Imp.
"Look I didn't mean to interrupt your party, I was just trying to-"
"Don't bother with excuses, I know why you're here" Stolas said.
Blitzo made a face. Guess he wasn't as sneaky as he thought he was.
Stolas brought them to a room that wasn't occupied. When he closed the door, he dropped his serious look and gazed at Blitzo with a lustful, flirtatious look.
"You are here to ravish me, aren't you?"
Blitzo blinked.
"WHAT THE FUCK?!" he thought.
"Come again?"
Stolas waltzed across the room and circled around Blitzo.
"Why else would you be breaking into my room?" he asked.
"You could have asked to visit you know. It's been a long time but I have a very good memory"
This was not what Blitzo expected or wanted. How the fuck did Stolas come up with that conclusion?! Shouldn't he be wondering if he was trying to steal stuff or assassinate him?!
He was about to make a crude remark but paused when he saw something behind Stolas. Up on the highest part of the bookshelf was the Grimoire that allowed access to the mortal realm.
"Jackpot"
Quickly composing himself, he acted indifferent as he slowly strode over the ladder.
"Yeah, well, I figured you've been busy doing prince things so I figured you didn't have time to say hi" he said nonchalantly. He climbed the ladder acting as if he was trying to get eye level with Stolas.
"Not to mention you're having a big party with a crap ton of security"
"It's actually my wedding" Stolas said grimly.
Blitzo put on a fake smile. He didn't ask what the party was about.
"Mazel Tov"
He tried to grab the book from behind him. Just as his fingers grazed it, Stolas slammed his hands against the book shelf and caged Blitzo. The book fell and dropped to the floor.
"What you about? Are you still in the circus?"
Blitzo swore under his breath but put the fake smile back on his face.
"Oh no, I've got a different job now. Been in the hitman business for a while now. Get paid to kill people"
Stolas made a face when he heard that. That something he wasn't expecting from his little clown companion.
"O-oh, you don't say"
Blitzo nodded as he quickly went down the ladder.
"Yeah, it's messy but it's a great stress reliever. Always nice doing a job that you love"
He went to grab the book only for Stolas to put his hand on it.
"It must be nice being able to do what you love. Being a prince I don't have such luxury to indulge in whimsical fantasies. Need to fulfill my duties and all" he said.
Blitzo rolled his eyes and tried to tug the book out of Stolas's grasp.
"Yeah we all have our cross to bear. I'm sure you're really busy doing princely things and don't have time for things or to notice things missing" he muttered the last part to himself.
Stolas placed his hand over Blitz's and looked at him longingly.
"The last time I was able to be happy and enjoy myself was when I had that little play date with you. That was the only time I was able to be myself and be happy" he said.
He cupped Blitzo's face with his other hand and got close.
"I would do anything to experience that moment again"
Blitzo suddenly felt uncomfortable. He didn't feel like he was in danger but he didn't like where this was going. Whatever Stolas was thinking was not what Blitzo was thinking.
The door handle rattled as someone tried to open it.
"Stolas where the fuck are you?!" Stella shouted.
Seemed like the bride realized her groom was gone for too long. While Stolas was distracted, Blitzo snatched the book and ran for the open window.
"Have fun becoming a man tonight!" he said.
He jumped off the balcony just as Stella barged into the room. Blitzo could hear her screaming as he scaled down the wall of the castle.
Poor bastard. He didn't envy Stolas one bit. He had a feeling that bitch would be complaining through their first night together.
He landed on the ground and ran as fast as he could away from the castle. He smirked darkly as he looked at the book in his hands. Finally he could start his killing business. Looking over his shoulder he felt pity as he heard Stella continue to scream. He had no idea why royalty were into marriage.
"I'm never going to fall in love or get attached to anyone" he promised himself.
He was going to focus on his new job and make a name for himself.
If only this book could foresee what was going to happen when he took his very first job. Or what the next 14 years of his life was going to be.

A/N: Oh Blitzo, you should never make promises to yourself out loud.
Hopefully the Stolas/ Blitzo interaction wasn't too awkward. Since they're young adults in this part I figured it would be weird if Blitzo slept with Stolas to get the book…for now. He might have gotten the book now but Stolas isn't going to let him borrow it for long.
Now that our favorite Imp is able to venture to the mortal realm just what is going to happen when he starts his hitman business? Nothing crazy is going to happen right?
Please review and tell me what you think! You're reviews would be the best birthday gift ever!
Take care!
