Izuku sat down in the auditorium and sighed "Man, that written test was tough." Probably the hardest one he's done but the teen was confident that he passed, allowing him to at least get into the General course, now was the test to get him into the Hero course, the physical one "(time to make or break this, you ready kid)" the teen nodded "Yeah, though I'm nervous about this, I mean everyone here had at least a decade to practice their quirks while I had only two years to train, and are you sure you'll be comfortable." Well, that was Izuku's biggest worry, he looked behind himself, focusing on the mystery jinchuriki, curiosity was gnawing at the grennette's head to the point where he wanted to just ask Shukaku now

"(Well don't worry about it, as I said before, you've got one of the best teachers in the world.)" he heard the tanuki yawn which almost caused him to yawn in turn "(Now please stay quiet, I'm going to sleep, and don't ask why I'm going to sleep again, you'll understand when your older or when you get addicted to anime, whichever comes first)"

Shukaku slept until the kid woke him up, saying that it was ready and Shukaku came out, appearing not on the floor but in a baby holster facing the wall and with Izuku wearing a teal tracksuit "You sure you're alright?" Shukaku scowled and looked up at the kid looking him dead in the eye "I swear to Dad if you ask that again I'll go full size and eat you." Shukaku patted his stomach as he said that, not that he actually would.

The short bus ride to the exam area was ever eerily silent minus Izuku quietly explaining the rules of the entrance exam, which was off-putting to the tanuki considering it was a bus full of young teenagers, was joining this school so important that they didn't bother trying to talk to anyone, though he was glad that the blond was on a different bus for both the kids and his sake.

The bus stopped at a large city surrounded by a wall the size of a small office building, all the participants were gathered outside the bus, preparing for the exam. Shukaku looked around at the other teens, some of them had some type of gear for their quirk, some were scared, some were confident, some used breathing practices to steel their nerves, and some seemed like they didn't care like the mystery Jinchuriki, now that Shukaku was in the same space him he understood why the kid was unnerved, he had a lot of tailed beast chakra, even more then the tanuki himself.

The wall in front of the group suddenly opened revealing the street behind it, though the group of teens stood there unsure of what to do "What are you doing standing around, go!" Shukaku kicked in his baby holster as the kid made a mad dash, leaping over the crowd as they looked at him in awe and confusion, the kid started sprinting the moment he landed "Gotta say, that was an impressive chakra jump."

"WHAT ARE YOU ALL DOING? THE TEST ALREADY STARTED SO FOLLOW THAT KIDS LEAD AND GET GOING!!!" The group soon stormed into the test area but the kid already found his first target, or rather targets, five robots that were all marked with the number one. 'Fire Style: Phoenix Flower Jutsu' the kid weaved multiple hand signs before spewing multiple small fireballs out of his mouth, each one almost destroying a robot's head completely "Hey watch it, kid, you nearly singed my ears!" Shukaku clutched his head keeping his ears held down as light smoke seeped between his fingers "Sorry, just really focused." The kid blurted.

"Bazooka!" Another two-pointer destroyed, now Kohei had about ten points and the adrenaline was starting to pump through his veins, though there was that feeling he had ever since he arrived, he didn't know what it was but all he knew was that the green-haired kid was the source of it.

Kohei's body was completely cloaked in a transparent red bubbling miasma that formed claws on his hands and feet, two ear-like protrusions from the top of his head, and a single tail. Speak of the devil, Kohei spots the greenette running around looking for robots, and the tanuki in the baby holster he was wearing, now it made sense why the greenette was interesting but the question Kohei asked himself was why was HE naturally interested in the boy, more specifically the tanuki the boy carried with him.

Kohei spotted another robot, a one-pointer, and charged at it, going on all fours as he ran, it seemed that the greenette noticed as well as he dashed the robot 'Oh no you don't!' Kohei began to run faster and soon passed by the teen and destroyed the robot in a single uppercut "Hey what the hell man, that was our kill!" He turned his head and looked at the tanuki dead in its star-shaped pupils before looking at the greenette "You should've used your fireballs like at the beginning of the test, and next time don't bring your pet."

Somewhere else one of the tailed beast stood in a hall right outside of the room meant to monitor students "[so what do you think? I'm planning on telling the others, starting with Saikan, but I wanted to tell you first Matatabi.]" Matatabi looked back into the room, looking at the monitors displaying the happenings in the exam and smirked "You know, when you told me you adopted a kid I wasn't expecting you to adopt Kurama's reincarnation" she heard Kokuo chuckle over the phone before continuing "[Well I'm pretty sure most of the others will be pretty excited about learning that Kurama's alive again, in a sense, don't know how Shukaku will react though, he might have a breakdown and retreat to his little man cave.]" Matatabi remembered the last time Shukaku retreated to his hole due to a breakdown, the tanuki was not okay after he learned that Kurama had died.

"Oh that reminds me, Shukaku's got a new Jinchuriki, and their in the exam as well." Matatabi chuckled when she heard Kokuo spit out whatever drink she was having "[WHAT THE HELL PROMPTED HIM TO DO THAT?!?]" That's right Matatabi never told Kokuo about their challenge.

"Oh sorry, He and I started a challenge about when quirks started showing up that if he had a Jinchuriki stronger then Uzumaki, then I would have to admit he was the best teacher in the world, even though this one shows potential I have my doubts since he's going to have to be stronger then a reincarnation of a demigod." Plus add onto the fact that Shukaku didn't even try to teach his previous jinchuriki, though at the time Shukaku wasn't as influenced by humans as much nor as wise as he is now, she had little faith that the tanuki could do it.

Matatabi looked back into the room and spotted a paw waving her back in "Alright, I gotta go, Slimkaku's bringing out the big guns." She heard Kokuo groan at at the nickname before she hung up.

Shukaku let out a sneeze, snot dribbling from his nose 'Someone's talking about me' at this point Shukaku had to join in searching for robots since Izuku hadn't found any that weren't destroyed ever since the exam started and every time they found one another student got to it and destroyed it. "ONE MINUTE LEFT!!!" Present Mic's voice echoed throughout the mock city "Son of a bitch! Come one kid move faster!" Though before Izuku could do anything the ground began to shake and a loud rumbling emanated throughout the mock city and dust erupted from the intersection ahead. Other exam participants ran past the two, clearly running from something but neither knew until it clicked in Shukaku's head "Hey kid, how many types of robots have we seen?" The greenette thought about it before the realization dawned on him "I thought so."

Out from around the intersection came the final type of robot, it moved along on treads as it towered over the surrounding buildings, its six lenses peering down at the other students like insects "Whoever thought up this exam is fucking nuts! get moving kid before you get crushed!" Though before Izuku could get going, they both heard a pained cry. Looking back they both saw a girl with short brown hair laying on the ground, her legs pinned underneath rubble. Immediately Izuku dashed in the opposite direction of the other contestants, towards the imposing figure of the robot 'Damnit, guess I better toss in my two cents.' Shukaku's physical form dissipated in a puff of smoke "{Hey kid, use the Partial Transformation.}" The greenette nodded in confirmation 'Got it!'

Underneath his tracksuit the Eight Trigrams seal appeared on his shoulder and blue marks began slithering out of it and along his skin, a tail exactly like Shukaku's whipped out from Izuku's back as his pupils also changed into stare-shaped ones like Shukaku, Izuku's body also grew in size growing a good two feet taller as well as developing a stockier build and ripping small holes in the seams of his tracksuit, along with that sand-colored fur began to cover the entirety of Izuku's skin along with the blue marks and once his head and hands changed and looked more like Shukaku's, the transformation was complete.

Izuku put his hands together, making a cross with his index and middle fingers 'Shadow Clone Jutsu!' three shadow clones appeared at his right side, immediately the hybrid clasped hands with the shadow clone to his immediate side as the shadow clone to the furthest right did the same, in a synchronized maneuver, the original and the shadow clone thrown the two shadow clones up towards the robots head with the shadow clone that tossed dissipating, the original Izuku veered towards the girl and grabbed the rubble on her legs "I got you just hold on!" His back and arm muscles bulged as he began his attempt at lifting the rubble.

As the original went to free the girl from the rubble, the two shadow clones worked together as they flew at the robot, one clone held out an open palm and the other had their hands move around the other's as if they were holding a spherical object, soon chakra began to gather at a singular point slightly above the clones hand condensing into a spinning blue sphere, turning from blue red as fire release chakra was applied to it, flames coming out of the sphere in a spiral, the flaming sphere continued growing till it was the size of a bowling ball at which point the clone that was keeping the chakra contained in the sphere stopped and helped the other hold it, once they were close enough they both slammed the sphere into the robots face 'Fire Style: Giant Rasengan!!' The sphere expanded as its resistance against the condensed chakra inside it weakened before exploding outwards at the robot into a large explosion of orange-red and blue flames pushing the robot backwards and leaving a gaping hole through its head as it fell, with their task complete the two shadow clones dissipated in a puff of smoke.

With one final heave, the hybrid Izuku lifted the boulder of rubble up, swapping to a hugging hold as gravity fought to bring it down to the ground, the hybrid held a strained face as he held it up with his legs shaking as he took two slow steps back careful not to drop it, the hybrid was glad that his transformation granted him enhanced physical strength or his legs would've buckled otherwise.

A buzzer went off throughout the entire causing everyone but Izuku to stand still as the remaining intact robots deactivated "AND THATS TIME!!!" The hybrid tossed the rubble a short distance away "Are you okay, Can you get up?" Izuku knelt next to the girl "Yeah, maybe." The girl tried moving her legs but winced "Scratch that, I think my ankle's sprained pretty bad." Though she sort of downplayed it a bit as her ankle was bruised and swollen from what Izuku could see "Alright, then I'll get you to a nurse."

Though no one had noticed, the irises of the hybrids eyes had shifted from emerald green to a sandy beige, the reason why was only clear to the jinchuriki "{OHMYGOSHOHMYGOSHOHMYGOSHWHYAREWETOUCHINGAGIRLIHAVENTEVENSPOKEAPROPERCONVERSATIONWITH!!!!}" Shukaku wished he could tune out the teens panic attack as he lifted he girl onto his back but unfortunately it was literally in his head 'Oh my Dad shut up and calm your tits!' He mentally screamed in his head.

The control was rich with conversations of evaluations of the potential students, course what happened at the end of the exam reared to "So, what about that Midoriya kid, hadn't seen firepower like that out of anyone but Endeavor, got any idea on his quirk." Snipe inquired as he leaned forward, the mouse-bear creature that sat in the center of the row of pro hero's grabbed a few copies of a file and passed around "Midoriya Izuku, Age 14, his quirk, chakra, is a sentient-type quirk with qualities of both a transformation and emitter type, quite a fascinating quirk if I do say so myself." Nezu wasn't wrong, most of the people in the room were shock that the quirk was sentient since they were so rare that only one other participant in the entire exam had a sentient-type quirk, but it also had transformation and emitter-type qualities.

"Odd thing about the file is that it says that he only updated his quirk info from quirkless 'bout a year and a half ago." Two people flinched slightly, Matatabi and the skeletal blonde sitting at the far end of the row 'Shit, now Toshinori's gonna get suspicious, last thing we need is someone like him looking into the kid.' "Well that is odd but considering that not much is known about quirks, especially sentient types, it's possible that when he was evaluated for a quirk, he was misidentified." Matatabi let out an internal sigh of relief at Nezu's explanation, especially since it was bull.

The rest of the evaluations went off like normal and by the end of it, Matatabi and Nezu were the only ones left in the room "So Matatabi, which one is he?" She shifted in her chair "That one's Shukaku, to be honest, I find it debatable whether or not he's stronger than Gyuki, he used to be the weakest of us but after some insane training he did his power basically skyrocketed, funnily enough when we last talked he said he was 'The Gohan of Tailed Beast'" She did air quotes at the mention of the title "didn't know what the hell he meant till I decided to read those manga he would go on and on about, honestly, he's like a little kid when he talks about them." Nezu internally chuckled at the thought as he drank his tea, something as mythical as Tailed Beast enthusiastically talking about human entertainment "Honestly sometimes I think you were raised by humans." Matatabi's glance didn't go unnoticed by the principal "Well your assumption is technically correct."

Izuku stared blankly at the ceiling of his bedroom, thinking about how the exam went '5 points, I could only get 5 points, that's nowhere near enough to get in the Hero course.' Shukaku stared at the greenette from the other end of the bed, wondering what to do "Hey, why don't we practice turning your chakra into wind-release chakra, to keep your mind off it." He got no response out of the teen, his ears twitching in irritation as he scowled "Okay then how about I tell you a story, huh? About my birth and my early years." That barely got a reaction from Izuku but the greenette chose to listen so he sat up "All right now we're getting somewhere, alright so nearly 2,400 years ag-" "I thought you were over 5,000 years old" Shukaku sheepishly scratched the back of his head "Well I lied, it was about 10 AD when my father, The Sage of Six Paths, created me and the other Tailed Beast using the chakra of the Ten-Tails and one of nine concepts or emotions, though no one except us Tailed Beast knows about the latter." 'nine concepts or emotions, one for each Tailed Beast' it didn't add up to the ones that Shukaku mentioned by name yet it seemed like he knew about all of them, could something have happened between the ninth one and them? "So who's the Sage of Six Paths?" This was the first time since they met that the tanuki mentioned his parent, though he was told that the Tailed Beast weren't born traditionally. "Well, the Sage of Six Paths was what you humans would call a god, though he was a half-alien man with a very powerful Dōjutsu and responsible for the spread of Ninshū, the precursor to Ninjutsu."

Izuku's eyes nearly popped out of his skull at the mention of alien's "Wait, Aliens are real!" The tanuki rolled on the bed in hysterical laughter "Of course aliens are real, hahahahaha, I mean evolution created you humans, ahahahahahahah!!" Ok, the tanuki had a point but that didn't change the fact that extraterrestrial life existed, once he managed to calm down, Shukaku continued his story "Oh my heart. So yeah, my dad created us and for a while we lived in the village with dad, wasn't long till he had human children, twins named Indra and Ashura, though sadly they didn't get to know the others for long, Kurama was the first to leave along with the others when they turned five, I stayed behind and taught them like the big brother I was" Shukaku's tale went on till late in the night though Izuku was had long been asleep by the time it was done.

The following week was a stressful one, Shukaku tried his best to distract his jinchuriki and keep his mind off the bad thoughts, though it was clear that they never left. "Izuku, are you ok sweetie?" Inko was right to worry, the younger greenette stared blankly at the fish in his chopsticks, Shukaku, currently human-sized, slowly reached over before snatching a fish from the teens plate and quickly ate it, leaving only the tail fin dangling out from the side of his muzzle "I'm sure he's fine, he's probably being pessimistic." He said as he chewed, Inko looked at her child with a worried expression as she left the room, there was a moment of silence that felt awkward to the pudgy tanuki and only felt more so as it prolonged, it was getting so awkward that Shukaku was about to slap upside the back of Izuku's head before the door slammed open "IZUKU, IT'S HERE!!" Inko came in scrambling on the floor, snapping the teen out of his daze.
